- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. I
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and the stubbings. Good string together. Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta turn you're going to do.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn you got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out. Then turn the water the water
- 1:48Speaker 1: got me? Come come on your fad uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: show will good morning everybody you're listening to the voice.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on Digny nine one and only. Steve Harvey got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show. Man one more time. Steve Harvey got
- 2:13Speaker 1: a radio show. Yeah, I do, man, I thank God
- 2:16Speaker 1: for it every day. You know, UM my message this morning,
- 2:21Speaker 1: man's real clear. It's something that's been on me to share,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and it's it's amazing. You know, um, God can do
- 2:33Speaker 1: some amazing things for you. But what happens along the
- 2:38Speaker 1: way is and I don't know that I mean to say,
- 2:42Speaker 1: but but the fact that God can do some amazing
- 2:46Speaker 1: things for you, that comes adversity along with it. Every
- 2:52Speaker 1: single time it it just goes without saying. And I
- 3:01Speaker 1: was having a a fairly I mean well not fairly,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but a hugely successful week. I had never seen this
- 3:10Speaker 1: type of hatred before I hadn't seen it. And it's
- 3:16Speaker 1: it's a great trick that the devil does. You know,
- 3:19Speaker 1: when when God is blessing you and giving you some
- 3:22Speaker 1: some some great opportunities in your life as all of
- 3:25Speaker 1: you have gone through, and it is. Isn't it amazing
- 3:28Speaker 1: how some negative thing crops up and that's what you
- 3:31Speaker 1: have to focus on. I found out that I don't
- 3:35Speaker 1: have to, but you wind up focusing on it, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: your energy goes over to that to try to deal
- 3:41Speaker 1: with it. Counteract. Wonder why I was happening. You gotta
- 3:44Speaker 1: make phone calls? What was this about? Blah blah blah
- 3:47Speaker 1: blah blah, and and and it, and it throws you
- 3:50Speaker 1: off the course you are. On the beginning of the week,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I was so grateful, I was so amazed. I was
- 3:57Speaker 1: really thanking God for opportunity. For the brief moment, the
- 4:02Speaker 1: enemy slides this little factor in there that causes you
- 4:07Speaker 1: to and it requires your attention. You have to pay
- 4:09Speaker 1: an attention because you don't know what you're going. Wow, man,
- 4:12Speaker 1: let me see what this could really be. How much
- 4:15Speaker 1: dirt is this really that they're trying to do? And
- 4:18Speaker 1: so it requires your attention. But in that attention, you
- 4:22Speaker 1: lose your focus on really all the blessings and the
- 4:26Speaker 1: good thing that God does for you. That the enemy
- 4:30Speaker 1: has an amazing trick that he does that. And it
- 4:33Speaker 1: was and it was in my head. I gotta tell
- 4:35Speaker 1: y'all all week long, man, and I was doing some
- 4:37Speaker 1: amazing stuff. I was having such a blessed weak man
- 4:42Speaker 1: in terms of press and pr and where God was
- 4:44Speaker 1: taking me. And then when I got back, I was
- 4:49Speaker 1: talking with my wife, and then I was talking to
- 4:52Speaker 1: a good friend of ours and they shared something that
- 4:57Speaker 1: really helped me out. And they said to me, new level,
- 5:03Speaker 1: new devil. You know it's it's it's something really simple,
- 5:08Speaker 1: but new level new devil. Every time you go to
- 5:13Speaker 1: another level, every time you go a little bit higher,
- 5:18Speaker 1: every time God has a blessing in store for you,
- 5:22Speaker 1: every time He moves you in position, do you understand
- 5:26Speaker 1: that the enemy's job is to make you not see
- 5:29Speaker 1: the blessing, make you not be grateful for it, lose
- 5:33Speaker 1: your focus and focus on this that I just threw
- 5:36Speaker 1: in your way, this stumbling block, this obstacle, this trickery.
- 5:41Speaker 1: And man, I was, I was, I got you. I
- 5:43Speaker 1: just gotta tell you, man, I mean, it was so
- 5:46Speaker 1: filled with hatred that I had to I really spend
- 5:49Speaker 1: some time addressing it. I you know, I got publicists
- 5:52Speaker 1: on the phone. I said, what's what's happening here? Y'all
- 5:54Speaker 1: not watching this? Y'all not what? What was? What was
- 5:56Speaker 1: this attack? You knew that you didn't know these angles?
- 5:59Speaker 1: What what was you know? Steve Chill, new level, new devil.
- 6:06Speaker 1: If you get a promotion on your job, guess what.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Somebody ain't happy that you got the promotion. So here
- 6:13Speaker 1: come to hey. You don't even you don't even really
- 6:15Speaker 1: know these people. You have no idea. Every time you
- 6:20Speaker 1: make a decision to make your relationship with your spouse better, man,
- 6:25Speaker 1: this is it. You know what I'm gonna start doing.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this, man, so me and my girl
- 6:29Speaker 1: can go on and have this on. Me and my
- 6:31Speaker 1: man can go on and have this. Watch what happened
- 6:34Speaker 1: every single time? Here comes the new level, the new devil,
- 6:39Speaker 1: the trick. You don't need to do that, what you're
- 6:42Speaker 1: doing that for her? She don't appreciate it. He ain't
- 6:44Speaker 1: gonna appreciate it. Look over here, man, look at that
- 6:47Speaker 1: right there, ain't he nothing. You know, he missed, he
- 6:49Speaker 1: didn't call you, and he said, there's gonna all types
- 6:51Speaker 1: of stuff. It just happens all the time. And I
- 6:54Speaker 1: was sitting here talking with this friend, really good friend,
- 6:57Speaker 1: very spiritual person, and they said, you know something, Steve.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You know, I was talking to Jesus and said I
- 7:04Speaker 1: was having this conversation with Christ. And I said, God,
- 7:08Speaker 1: for real, you mean to tell me every time that
- 7:12Speaker 1: something good happens to me. You mean every time I
- 7:17Speaker 1: try to go to the next level, every time you
- 7:19Speaker 1: put me on the next level, you mean to tell
- 7:21Speaker 1: me that I got to go through this right here?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Are you for real? And then my friend said, Jesus said,
- 7:30Speaker 1: they did it to me, and we just fell out laughing.
- 7:35Speaker 1: They did it to me, They did it to him.
- 7:40Speaker 1: They did it to him for him to go to
- 7:42Speaker 1: the next level. And you know, I was just I
- 7:45Speaker 1: was just going over the whole story about the crucifixion
- 7:48Speaker 1: and everything that had to be amazing man of all
- 7:51Speaker 1: the hate he had endured, all the prosecuting he had
- 7:53Speaker 1: do it. They thought, ultimately, what we'll do is we'll
- 7:58Speaker 1: nail him on the crossing, crucified, and that'll be the
- 8:01Speaker 1: end of him, and we'll put him in his tune,
- 8:03Speaker 1: and we'll put this big stone up there, and that'll
- 8:06Speaker 1: be the end of him. But what they did not
- 8:08Speaker 1: know was all you was doing was setting the tone
- 8:11Speaker 1: for the next level. Because eventually the stone got rolled
- 8:15Speaker 1: away and he went and got placed with his father
- 8:19Speaker 1: where he was headed to. Anyway, he ultimately knew that
- 8:23Speaker 1: his ultimate goal was to get to his father. So
- 8:29Speaker 1: when you when you when you thought you were doing
- 8:31Speaker 1: what you were doing to him, and you put him
- 8:35Speaker 1: in a tune, and you put the big stone up
- 8:37Speaker 1: in there, and the stone got rolled got rolled away,
- 8:40Speaker 1: and he went eventually to where he was trying to
- 8:42Speaker 1: get to. That story is in place for all of
- 8:48Speaker 1: us to remember that when we are going through some things,
- 8:53Speaker 1: could it be because we are going to a place,
- 8:56Speaker 1: you know, It could be just a place in life.
- 8:59Speaker 1: It could be just a different level in life. That's
- 9:02Speaker 1: all it has to be. But there's going to be
- 9:05Speaker 1: the adversarial challenges that come with it, and those are
- 9:10Speaker 1: the moments we must expect, expect and take them head
- 9:14Speaker 1: on and still not lose your focus or appreciation for
- 9:17Speaker 1: what God has done for you. So in light of
- 9:20Speaker 1: all of that, I'm able to say today that I
- 9:23Speaker 1: thank my heavenly Father, I really do for all the
- 9:25Speaker 1: blessing season bestowed upon me and all of the haters,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and all of the liars, and all of the backstabbers
- 9:33Speaker 1: and all those people. When you get through lying, when
- 9:37Speaker 1: you get through stabbing, when you get through gossiping and
- 9:42Speaker 1: doing what you do, I'm still going to the next level.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I'm still going. You cannot stop what God has in
- 9:54Speaker 1: store for you. No one can stop that. Com show,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Uh. The theme of this morning showed.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I decided today it's called get it. We're about to
- 10:11Speaker 1: get it, that you need to get it. Call we
- 10:14Speaker 1: fit to get it. And at the end of the day,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I want you to say, got it. Let's get it. Oh,

- 11:56Speaker 1: I had to apologize to the people that were next
- 11:59Speaker 1: two wheels table. What did they do? They were up
- 12:04Speaker 1: because I knocked some people over into the table, which
- 12:09Speaker 1: and the wine got on her gown, and then I
- 12:12Speaker 1: had apologize to the roll behind table, got apologized to them.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Then I got apologize to three ushers because they grabbed me.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I wasn't really feeling it, so once they grabbed me,
- 12:26Speaker 1: that was a whole another set of people that got some.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Then I want to apologize to the paramedics because I
- 12:33Speaker 1: thought they was trying to pick me up and it
- 12:35Speaker 1: was them other people and I wasn't. I wasn't to
- 12:37Speaker 1: be touched at that moment. I want to apologize to
- 12:41Speaker 1: the LAPD because I wasn't resisting the rest. I was
- 12:45Speaker 1: just clearing the room. And then I want to apologize
- 12:49Speaker 1: to the prosecutor and the judge because I was in

- 13:47Speaker 1: is time now for Reverend Motown and Deacon Deaf jam
- 13:50Speaker 1: Church complaints. We girl in this bostatious way as we
- 13:58Speaker 1: um niflic hate the prepontiousness of what's been going on. Ye,
- 14:06Speaker 1: we momentalize the gravitatiousness of all this by goings, by
- 14:15Speaker 1: goings and by comings, the things of that nature that
- 14:20Speaker 1: we have to reprehense and gather ourselves in a most
- 14:27Speaker 1: daciously way. Gather my deacon here umpictrious, gravitatious intus gravitations
- 14:44Speaker 1: or he is an implural blockable, Yes, yes, implural blockable
- 14:54Speaker 1: person to me, ladies and gentlemen. Deacon death our narious jams,
- 15:05Speaker 1: that's what That's what death is shot for death Fernarius.
- 15:10Speaker 1: That boy know how to bring somebody else? Death Jammer
- 15:12Speaker 1: is death fernarious Jamison. We shortened it for death jam
- 15:18Speaker 1: Deafernarius Jamerson, go ahead, death Denarius, All right, pastor let's
- 15:24Speaker 1: see here listen by. As you know, our brother Elvin
- 15:27Speaker 1: Banks passed away. As you know, he was seven foot four.
- 15:33Speaker 1: The family cannot afford a cast get that loan. They
- 15:37Speaker 1: want to know can we help out? Seven foot foue
- 15:39Speaker 1: pass and we've he don't have pastors that and they
- 15:43Speaker 1: don't have cast that long. Yeah, well, we've gone through
- 15:46Speaker 1: this before. We're gonna do like we've done before. Or
- 15:48Speaker 1: we're gonna fold him. Oh lord, what we're gonna fold him?
- 15:57Speaker 1: He's deceased. Your been his legs back, have them down there, yes,
- 16:05Speaker 1: below his knuckles, and have his feet jest below his knuckles.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Fool his hands on his chest and no one will
- 16:14Speaker 1: know the difference. But we're not. We're gonna fool him up.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Just crank his legs, but he can't feel nothing. You
- 16:21Speaker 1: might have to dislocate him a little bit and get
- 16:24Speaker 1: him situated. He's gonna be in there with his legs back,
- 16:27Speaker 1: and he's gonna be slew footed. Who does My guy
- 16:34Speaker 1: ain't got good. This feels uncomfortable. Path, it feels uncomfortable.
- 16:38Speaker 1: He won't know, he don't He uncomfortable was when he
- 16:42Speaker 1: got shot? Oh gosh, yeah, all right, moving right along
- 16:49Speaker 1: past the ey. We got an issue here. Brother James
- 16:52Speaker 1: Belton stole some gas at the gas station while driving
- 16:57Speaker 1: the Church of Van Nah. He was a rested and
- 17:00Speaker 1: taken to jail. The van was told away. Now here's
- 17:05Speaker 1: the problem. Nobody knew that brother Vernon Lawson was in
- 17:09Speaker 1: the back sleep. Uh, he's still on the church van
- 17:13Speaker 1: at the impound. What do you want to do about
- 17:15Speaker 1: this back locked and everything? He came go down there
- 17:19Speaker 1: myself and we're gonna get him the gas back and
- 17:25Speaker 1: let us have the vein. I'm gonna go down there
- 17:28Speaker 1: with five gallon cane of gas. I'm gonna let him
- 17:31Speaker 1: take the gas back and then I'm gonna pull the
- 17:34Speaker 1: five gallons in there that are getting me to the
- 17:36Speaker 1: corner and our gas to veil him and get it
- 17:39Speaker 1: back with who's in the back seating up? That was
- 17:42Speaker 1: brother Vernon Lawson is in the back. He would sleep
- 17:46Speaker 1: back there. Okay, we'll go down there and get brother Lawson.
- 17:50Speaker 1: He's all good, member hill he so that's all I
- 17:55Speaker 1: could he He has a sleeping disword has a sleeping
- 18:02Speaker 1: disorders almost like when it hit him, it's like horse tranquilizes.
- 18:07Speaker 1: So it just it just it just rocks it right
- 18:09Speaker 1: on down. Lord. Now what are we gonna do by
- 18:13Speaker 1: brother James Belton? And we're gonna get him out of jail.
- 18:16Speaker 1: We're gonna leave him in then we all yeah, well,
- 18:20Speaker 1: well we're gonna worry about that later, because you know,
- 18:23Speaker 1: the Bible says thou shalt not steal the gas, has
- 18:27Speaker 1: hide on passing the gas either hide on. Now you
- 18:30Speaker 1: got to give him that understood that well, you know,
- 18:34Speaker 1: should have thought that out, you know. And it's not
- 18:36Speaker 1: so much distilling the gas that I'm concerned with. With
- 18:39Speaker 1: this motor getting caught sting the problem for us, you know,
- 18:49Speaker 1: not if you know not, if you understand what I'm saying,
- 18:53Speaker 1: I get what you're going right, So we're not here
- 18:57Speaker 1: or new. He will. As soon as I hear that,
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm thinking that's one of the Williams brothers right there. Ah, No,
- 19:08Speaker 1: he will, I know he will. And that right there,
- 19:13Speaker 1: that's the male quartet. Now, ye, who is Louise? That's
- 19:19Speaker 1: the sister Louise back that she didn't see. Sister Louise
- 19:23Speaker 1: got a start sounding stop sounding like brother Lewis. Of course,
- 19:28Speaker 1: that's where the confusion is. Just Louise is sounding like
- 19:32Speaker 1: Sister Louise is sounding like brother Lewis. All right, let
- 19:36Speaker 1: me let me, let me get you this passing for
- 19:39Speaker 1: a week. Go I now brace yourself. Brother will and
- 19:43Speaker 1: Jada want to join church, but the members are not
- 19:46Speaker 1: sure if they should accept their members sip some I'm
- 19:49Speaker 1: are wearing nobody, we are possibly slapping you in the
- 19:52Speaker 1: middle of one of your sermons. It's your call. They
- 19:55Speaker 1: don't have to wear about that. We will welcome them
- 19:58Speaker 1: to the church because the amount of tize it's gonna
- 20:00Speaker 1: be outstanding. Just make sure that he feels out the
- 20:06Speaker 1: tide envelope and the love offering envelope. And we'll see
- 20:10Speaker 1: how long he stayed. But just notice the day he
- 20:15Speaker 1: slapped me. Oh there's anybody he wants to see in heaven,
- 20:26Speaker 1: he'll he'll be able to check him out that evening
- 20:36Speaker 1: for today. Amen. Coming up next, Ask the CLO with
- 20:42Speaker 1: our Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building, ready
- 20:45Speaker 1: for your love questions. Right after this com you're listening
- 20:50Speaker 1: Morning show coming up at the top of the hour
- 20:53Speaker 1: in our entertainment report, will recap last night's Grammy Awards
- 20:56Speaker 1: in Vegas, and we hear that this may be the
- 20:59Speaker 1: first and the last year that the Grammys will be
- 21:02Speaker 1: held in Vegas. What look about what happens? No, yeah, yes,
- 21:09Speaker 1: we'll talk about it. We'll talk about it. But right
- 21:13Speaker 1: now it is time for Ask to CLO, Chief Love
- 21:17Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey. This one is from LaDonna and Omahalla.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Donna says, I'm twenty eight and I used to date
- 21:25Speaker 1: one of the guys at my job when I was
- 21:27Speaker 1: in high school. Guys flirt with me at work, and
- 21:30Speaker 1: my ex tried to be territorial. Does he want me
- 21:34Speaker 1: or is he just hating? Well, it's a little bit
- 21:37Speaker 1: of both. You know, he dated you in high school.
- 21:41Speaker 1: He does have a memory, so he won't you back,
- 21:44Speaker 1: and it is hating, and it's being territory. It's all
- 21:47Speaker 1: of that. It's it's all of it. He won't you back,
- 21:50Speaker 1: he's hating and he's being ted. That's all period. So
- 21:55Speaker 1: what should she do? That's i mean, what you want
- 21:57Speaker 1: to do? You want to date him? That's the question.
- 22:01Speaker 1: You know she's really trying to figure out, you know,
- 22:03Speaker 1: is he hating? And you know she's flattered by it
- 22:05Speaker 1: really and she just trying to figure out in her youth.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Is that what she want to do. That's up to you.
- 22:12Speaker 1: But remember there's not excess, excess for a reason. Try
- 22:17Speaker 1: to remember the reason. Try to remember the reason, all
- 22:21Speaker 1: the reason. All right, The new them might be the
- 22:25Speaker 1: same them, just older and at work all right, Sharon
- 22:30Speaker 1: and Macon. Right. I stopped by my husband's office tuesday
- 22:33Speaker 1: to get his mail because he's out of town. There's
- 22:36Speaker 1: a reed's jeweler's bill in my husband's name, but my
- 22:40Speaker 1: husband hates credit cards. Do you think I should open
- 22:43Speaker 1: the mail or ask my husband about it? First? I
- 22:46Speaker 1: can't believe you ain't open it. I know that's right,
- 22:52Speaker 1: I would have can't what woman ain't open it? Do
- 22:56Speaker 1: you think I should open his mail? What your husband's
- 23:00Speaker 1: mail a jeweler? Now, what you could do is mess

- 26:36Speaker 1: so I answered it, and the lady on the phone said,
- 26:39Speaker 1: she is the party planner for my surprise that he
- 26:41Speaker 1: had birthday party. But I don't believe her. Does this
- 26:45Speaker 1: sound crazy to you too? No, she says, she's the

- 29:39Speaker 1: right right. He said, this is a concert. We're giving
- 29:42Speaker 1: out awards. We're gonna be listening to music. We're gonna
- 29:45Speaker 1: keep people's names out our mouths, and you know, dad,

- 30:13Speaker 1: they won. I don't know writers, performers, all of that,
- 30:19Speaker 1: So quest love. He presented Silk Sonic with their first award.
- 30:23Speaker 1: He did a joke saying for everyone to stay five
- 30:27Speaker 1: hundred feet back again, a little joke, but Silk Sonic,
- 30:32Speaker 1: we love them, Anderson Pack, Bruno Mars, they cleaned up.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Did you see it, Junior? Did you see Anderson Pack
- 30:40Speaker 1: with his I turn a wig turning and cheese and

- 30:51Speaker 1: how they got up out of their seats like yeah, yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 1: just so dramatic. They are straight straight comedy. But I
- 30:58Speaker 1: love how you know they're dial They took the music
- 31:01Speaker 1: back to the seventies, Steve, that's what we love about
- 31:05Speaker 1: Silk Sonic. Your favorite bearer, Yeah, go back and moving
- 31:11Speaker 1: on every rappers favorite rapper, nas hip hop legend. Nas.
- 31:18Speaker 1: He killed it last night. He's been rapping for over
- 31:21Speaker 1: thirty years. He did my jam one Mike I can.
- 31:25Speaker 1: He did a little metal league you know, made you
- 31:28Speaker 1: look with a band behind him. So Nas he killed it.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Even Luda came on afterwards and gave it up to Nas.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Let's see what else. Jasmine Sullivans R and B song. Finally,
- 31:41Speaker 1: Jasmine Sullivan won a Grammy. It has been a long
- 31:45Speaker 1: time coming. She has been nominated over fifteen times. Really, yes,
- 31:51Speaker 1: ye see, That's where I'm through going. That's what I'm doing.
- 31:54Speaker 1: That's why you draw the times you ain't called me
- 32:00Speaker 1: three B the three without a call. Oh oh they
- 32:06Speaker 1: broke me at the image from that. You don't see
- 32:08Speaker 1: me down, No no, Lord goes to the host of
- 32:14Speaker 1: Cash Cab. I said, okay, okay, I ain't saying I'm
- 32:20Speaker 1: all that, but I'm molding that though, so right right right.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Congratulations to Jazz and the Sullivan Philly stand up. Your
- 32:28Speaker 1: girl finally finally got her Grammy. She got two Grammys.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Actually yes, her R and B singer her she is
- 32:39Speaker 1: a bad girl. She was killing it on stage. She
- 32:43Speaker 1: did her song damage and you know that has the
- 32:45Speaker 1: sample of that making Love in the Rain herb Albert,
- 32:49Speaker 1: Jimmy Jam Terry Lewis on stage with her while performing.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Then she killed it. My girl gets behind the drums,
- 32:56Speaker 1: then she performs are You Going My Way? Gonna Go
- 33:00Speaker 1: My Way? With Travis Barker. You know that's Courtney Kardashians man.
- 33:04Speaker 1: He played the drums and Lenny Kravitz and her who
- 33:09Speaker 1: they killed it, both of them on guitar. Great, nice performance.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Nice performance. Um. Justin Bieber he did his thing. President
- 33:19Speaker 1: Zelinski of Ukraine. He did a video to talk about
- 33:26Speaker 1: you know, music and how it is supporting the Ukrainians
- 33:31Speaker 1: and the war torn nation and how people can help
- 33:34Speaker 1: and how singers in Ukraine are trying to keep the
- 33:38Speaker 1: morale up if you will in Ukraine, and then you know,
- 33:41Speaker 1: he introduced kind of went into John Legend singing. It
- 33:45Speaker 1: was a beautiful, beautiful moment. Let's see what else did
- 33:49Speaker 1: we see? Kiss Me More with Sisza and Doja Cat.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Actually Doja Cat. They won Best Pop Duo Group Performance
- 33:58Speaker 1: and she was in the restaurant room when they actually
- 34:01Speaker 1: called her name. She ran to the mic and said
- 34:04Speaker 1: that was the fastest pee she ever had to do.
- 34:07Speaker 1: She's another word, but I'm going to say pee. And uh,
- 34:11Speaker 1: Sissa was on crutches. Yeah, what do you mean? What
- 34:22Speaker 1: do you mean? Yeah? Really, I mean if you she
- 34:24Speaker 1: said something other than pe, you want me to take
- 34:26Speaker 1: copy shots, We're gonna let that go. We're gonna let
- 34:29Speaker 1: it go. Black Guy Show to be authentic. You know,
- 34:34Speaker 1: I ain't don't need to misquote nobody, you know, somebody
- 34:37Speaker 1: not getting the joke or walking away now was cool?
- 34:41Speaker 1: It was cool, Pete. We're gonna say anyway, Sissa was
- 34:44Speaker 1: on crutches. She said she fell out the bed the
- 34:48Speaker 1: day before the Grammy. Some say she twisted her ankle.
- 34:50Speaker 1: She heard her leg anyway, my girl was on crutches
- 34:53Speaker 1: accepting the award. She looked fabulous though. So that was
- 34:57Speaker 1: pretty much the Grammys, y'all. Hambaptise, Oh what can I say?
- 35:03Speaker 1: Class as he cleaned up at the end of the night.
- 35:06Speaker 1: So it was a good show. It was a good show.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Did I see Justin Bieber with a ski cap? On caller?
- 35:13Speaker 1: He had a cap while performing cap to the back,
- 35:15Speaker 1: but sitting in the audience he had on just a
- 35:17Speaker 1: regular like like a skull cap. I like Justin Bieber.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I like that jam teaches. Yeah, what were you saying, Steve?
- 35:24Speaker 1: I didn't know who John was? My bad? I was
- 35:29Speaker 1: you thought it was John? I was all, well, I
- 35:31Speaker 1: wasn't John, but I was back in history. Carla's coming over.
- 35:42Speaker 1: It's Tommy time with the nephew. Right after this, you're
- 35:46Speaker 1: listening to show here we are, it's time for Tommy.
- 35:51Speaker 1: In other words, it's Tommy time. Okay, Tommy, what's on
- 35:55Speaker 1: your mind? Oh, y'all? I didn't talk to Cory or
- 35:59Speaker 1: to Night. Hung up on Corey. I hung up on
- 36:04Speaker 1: Corey Foe dog on times. I just I just couldn't
- 36:08Speaker 1: take it no more, Junior, I couldn't take it this time?
- 36:10Speaker 1: What did he say this time? Uh? We get on
- 36:13Speaker 1: the phone. He philosophered. Yeah, timmy man, let me ask
- 36:18Speaker 1: you something, you know, think about it, brother, because I'm
- 36:20Speaker 1: you know, I'm deep, I said, okay, man? What if
- 36:24Speaker 1: what if Bruno went to Mars? I said, what? What? What? What? What?
- 36:32Speaker 1: What if Alicia lost her keys? What I said? I said,
- 36:39Speaker 1: come on, Corey, come on, man, I ain't got time today.
- 36:42Speaker 1: What if glad Is couldn't sleep at night? I said, Corey,
- 36:47Speaker 1: come on, man, I ain't got time to I hung
- 36:49Speaker 1: up on him. He called back. What if Snoop really
- 36:52Speaker 1: was a dog? Are you see it right now? Go on? Hey?
- 36:57Speaker 1: Do you what did Malcolm have X? What? Come on?
- 37:03Speaker 1: Core man? This is stupid man. What if Taylor was
- 37:06Speaker 1: slow and not swift? Oh? Come, I can't, I can't.
- 37:12Speaker 1: I can't do this with you. Man. What if Keith
- 37:15Speaker 1: sweat dehydrated? What where did that come from? I don't know?
- 37:20Speaker 1: What What if Stevens started to wonder? Uh? And he
- 37:28Speaker 1: just he just wondering, don't I don't get What if
- 37:31Speaker 1: Hallett Burry hated but berries. What if she hated berries.
- 37:34Speaker 1: You understand what I'm saying. I said, no, I understand
- 37:36Speaker 1: damn thing. What if Kevin lost his heart then the
- 37:42Speaker 1: last one he hit me with that one? Hung up?
- 37:44Speaker 1: What if Dwayne Johnson lost his never man oh man?
- 37:52Speaker 1: Yeah yeah yeah, hung up on court four five time,

- 38:21Speaker 1: Right now? He's asking the phone called really stupid? What
- 38:29Speaker 1: if Tommy wasn't I'm just saying, what if he wasn't stupid?
- 38:38Speaker 1: You pick any number? All right? Coming up in thirty
- 38:44Speaker 1: four minutes, one of the Jacksons coming up in thirty
- 38:52Speaker 1: four minutes after the hours. Will Smith has resigned from
- 38:55Speaker 1: the Academy of Motion Picture We'll talk about it right
- 38:57Speaker 1: after this. Yeah you're listening, let's say morning show, all right.
- 39:04Speaker 1: So Will Smith has resigned from the Academy of Motion
- 39:07Speaker 1: Picture Arts and Scientists. He did that this past Friday,
- 39:11Speaker 1: In a statement, Will said, I am resigning from membership
- 39:14Speaker 1: in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Scientists and
- 39:17Speaker 1: will accept any further consequences the Board deems appropriate. He
- 39:22Speaker 1: went on to say, my actions at the ninety fourth
- 39:24Speaker 1: Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable. The list
- 39:29Speaker 1: of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris,
- 39:32Speaker 1: his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones,
- 39:35Speaker 1: all those in attendance and global audiences at home. I
- 39:39Speaker 1: am heartbroken. Will vow to never again allow violence to
- 39:44Speaker 1: overtake reason. All right. David Rubin, the president of the Academy,
- 39:49Speaker 1: also released a statement accepting Will's resignation and saying we
- 39:53Speaker 1: will continue to move forward with our disciplinary proceedings against
- 39:57Speaker 1: mister Smith for violations of the academies standards of conduct,
- 40:01Speaker 1: and advance of our next scheduled board meeting on April eighteenth.
- 40:05Speaker 1: So that's all of it. In a nutshell. Will resigned
- 40:09Speaker 1: apologized They're going to have a meeting and decide what
- 40:13Speaker 1: disciplinary actions they're going to take against Will. So there
- 40:17Speaker 1: you have it. Do you resign so they don't kick
- 40:21Speaker 1: you out? Is that how it works? Well, He's trying
- 40:23Speaker 1: to get ahead of it. He's trying to act like
- 40:26Speaker 1: it can take the narrative away from them so it
- 40:29Speaker 1: won't be the sting. He know that's coming. He knows
- 40:33Speaker 1: that's coming. But the board don't meet into the eighteen,
- 40:36Speaker 1: so he know that's coming. He know that's going to
- 40:38Speaker 1: be some ramifications and repercussions and consequence. So he just
- 40:42Speaker 1: getting ahead. I'm gonna resign from the Academy and any
- 40:47Speaker 1: other further disciplines. He just getting ahead of it. This
- 40:50Speaker 1: is him his PR department. You know, people are knowing
- 40:54Speaker 1: how to handle this stuff. Control narrative, damage, control, control,
- 41:00Speaker 1: mitigate the risk. You know, that's all, that's all that is. Man,
- 41:05Speaker 1: could Chris Rock and his family man such a gentleman,
- 41:13Speaker 1: such class such, Yeah, I will be glad we get
- 41:17Speaker 1: past this, and you know, there are a lot of
- 41:20Speaker 1: lessons to be learned from this um. But the dope
- 41:24Speaker 1: move is Chris Rock hosting Oars next year next year. Yeah, Yeah,
- 41:29Speaker 1: that's the dope move. You talk about ratings, which they
- 41:33Speaker 1: care deeply about. Yeah, you know, yeah, they say the
- 41:41Speaker 1: ratings were up from this episode this past Oscars, and
- 41:45Speaker 1: it had nothing to do up until the slap if
- 41:49Speaker 1: you will, And you know, I just really I know
- 41:52Speaker 1: everybody said just a hundred times, and we keep talking
- 41:55Speaker 1: about it. It's just sad that, you know, we're not
- 41:59Speaker 1: talking about Wheel's first oscar. We're not talking about Samuel
- 42:03Speaker 1: All's first oscar. We're not talking about the three women
- 42:07Speaker 1: hosting the Oscars overaw, we're not talking about the Will
- 42:12Speaker 1: Packer being the first black and then his assistant Shayla
- 42:17Speaker 1: being the first female to co executive produced. We're not
- 42:22Speaker 1: talking about any of that. Any of that all overshadowed
- 42:28Speaker 1: by that moment. By that moment, it really sad, really
- 42:34Speaker 1: really sad history making. It was history making and a
- 42:38Speaker 1: pretty flawless show up until that point. And Chris is
- 42:41Speaker 1: still class act. They're saying that his comedy shows that
- 42:45Speaker 1: was a heckler uh saying blank. Will Smith, he shut
- 42:49Speaker 1: that down. He's he's he's taking the high road in
- 42:53Speaker 1: this very high, very high. He's up to almost too high.
- 42:57Speaker 1: He addressed to Empire State Building. Yeah, telling you right now,
- 43:07Speaker 1: we'd be we'd be at subway level. Und I'm talking
- 43:13Speaker 1: about name lea sub where you need. Right after that,
- 43:16Speaker 1: I'd be on the that like mole level yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 1: they said that. Chris Um in his show addressed it,
- 43:25Speaker 1: saying that I know you guys probably came out to
- 43:28Speaker 1: hear what I was going to say, but I had
- 43:31Speaker 1: written a whole show before that. He said, I'll address
- 43:33Speaker 1: it at some point, but you know it's not going
- 43:37Speaker 1: to be tonight. He said, It'll be funny, it'll be serious,
- 43:39Speaker 1: but I'm not doing that tonight. He went on with
- 43:41Speaker 1: this regular show that he had written. Yeah, he had
- 43:44Speaker 1: already written sold out shows too. Yeah all right, yeah.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is a nephew in the praying
- 43:52Speaker 1: Phone Call for today right after this you're listening show
- 43:58Speaker 1: coming up about four minut it's after the hour. It's
- 44:01Speaker 1: my Strawberry letter for today. The subject I hate all
- 44:04Speaker 1: of his friends and family. Wow, we'll get into that today.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Everybody hate everybody? Right now, it is time for the

- 45:14Speaker 1: I never worked out for you. Better it's steel. Better
- 45:18Speaker 1: put it back on. Okay, it's Charlotte, North Carolina this week.
- 45:22Speaker 1: That's that's Friday said Sunday, that Monday, and we work Monday.
- 45:28Speaker 1: All right, here's a prank. The prank is you ain't married.
- 45:35Speaker 1: You ain't married. Let's go cat dog. Hello, Hello, I'm
- 45:41Speaker 1: trying to reach Brian. Yeah, how you doing, Brian? My
- 45:44Speaker 1: name is Daniel. Wanted to give you a call today.
- 45:47Speaker 1: You got a minute? Yeah, okay, listen, um you're you're Brian,
- 45:52Speaker 1: um bron right, you're married to uh to Alfield. Yeah?
- 45:57Speaker 1: Hello hello, yeah, yeah, that that's me. That's my wife's Yeah, okay,
- 46:03Speaker 1: got a question for you. I do lotely. Have you
- 46:05Speaker 1: guys been married? Going on nine years now? We've been married? Now?
- 46:09Speaker 1: Who is this? My name is Daniel? Were you um?
- 46:13Speaker 1: Were you guys married a Greater New Missionary Baptist Church
- 46:17Speaker 1: Len the Sea. Yeah, yeah, yep, yep, that's the name
- 46:20Speaker 1: of that church. Yeah. Great, bout nine years? Yeah, that's right.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Why what's going on? What's asking me all these questions? Fun? Okay,
- 46:27Speaker 1: do you remember the minister that officiated your actual wedding ceremony? Yeah? No,
- 46:33Speaker 1: uh reverend right? Yeah, okay, I got the right person.
- 46:38Speaker 1: I wanted to make sure I had the right person, Brian.
- 46:40Speaker 1: So I'm I'm sorry if it seemed a little weird
- 46:43Speaker 1: to you. Here's here's what's going on. We've just come
- 46:46Speaker 1: up with a new discovery, a lot of information that
- 46:50Speaker 1: reverend none of his credentials are true. Everything is false.
- 46:56Speaker 1: He's not a minister at all, he never was a minister,
- 46:59Speaker 1: and every single wedding ceremony that he officiated is basically
- 47:05Speaker 1: null and void. So, and I hate to be the
- 47:09Speaker 1: bearer of bad news, but you and Alphea, even though
- 47:13Speaker 1: you think you've been married for nine years, you guys
- 47:15Speaker 1: are not married. No, no, no, no, no, no, you
- 47:19Speaker 1: gotta have the wrong person, because then that then we
- 47:22Speaker 1: got we got married by nine years ago. And what
- 47:29Speaker 1: I'm telling you is he he never was ordained. He's
- 47:33Speaker 1: never been an ordained minister. He's not a minister at all.
- 47:36Speaker 1: So when he performed this ceremony, you're a wedding ceremony,
- 47:39Speaker 1: he had no right to be doing that. You guys
- 47:41Speaker 1: are not are not married. You know, you guys have
- 47:45Speaker 1: been living in sin for nine years. Hold on, hold
- 47:48Speaker 1: hold on that. Let me tell you something. I ain't
- 47:49Speaker 1: been living. A man and my wife we have been
- 47:52Speaker 1: married for nine years. And that man he's a preacher.
- 47:55Speaker 1: I'm telling he's a preacher. I'm preach land funded Sir.
- 47:58Speaker 1: As of today, he has no right to be in
- 48:01Speaker 1: anybody's pulpit. He has no right to be officiating, whether
- 48:05Speaker 1: it's weddings or funerals, no matter what it is, christenings
- 48:08Speaker 1: for children. He's not allowed to do that. And we
- 48:11Speaker 1: have officially stopped him from doing anything serving under as
- 48:16Speaker 1: being a pastor or a minister. We have stopped at
- 48:20Speaker 1: But what I want you to know is that you
- 48:21Speaker 1: have been living in sin, and you don't. We want
- 48:25Speaker 1: to try and get you guys married as soon as possible.
- 48:28Speaker 1: So you're not living in sin. Oh, No, doc, I
- 48:31Speaker 1: have been living in no sin. I have been married
- 48:34Speaker 1: for nine years. This woman should have been taking care
- 48:36Speaker 1: of me and my kids for the past nine years. Wait. Wait,
- 48:39Speaker 1: wait a minute, Wait a minute. Guy, you guys have children. Yeah, yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 1: we got two, two kids, two beautiful kids. Okay, then
- 48:46Speaker 1: those kids are bastards staffords. Let me tell you something.
- 48:49Speaker 1: My kids ain't no bastards. What about your kids, your
- 48:51Speaker 1: kids in Bassetts? No, sir, my kids. My kids were
- 48:54Speaker 1: born in wedlock. Your kids have been born out of wedlocks.
- 48:58Speaker 1: I'm telling you. Batman did my service, and he is
- 49:02Speaker 1: a preacher. He's a man after God's own heart himself.
- 49:06Speaker 1: He hasn't done everything that he comes from me and
- 49:08Speaker 1: my family. He is a preacher. So I know it's
- 49:12Speaker 1: hard for you to to to swallow the truth, but
- 49:15Speaker 1: I want you to know, and I need you to
- 49:16Speaker 1: be able to tell out feel that you guys are
- 49:18Speaker 1: not married and not as of right now now. No, okay,
- 49:22Speaker 1: so heard now, back in the olden days, but before
- 49:26Speaker 1: all these, all these colleges and stuff came came about
- 49:29Speaker 1: you telling me that them men baking old days, that
- 49:31Speaker 1: they weren't no preachers, that they wasn't meant men after
- 49:34Speaker 1: the clough? Is that what you're saying to me? What
- 49:38Speaker 1: are you? What are you? What are you? What are
- 49:39Speaker 1: you getting at? Sir? What I'm trying to say is
- 49:41Speaker 1: back in the older days, baking the twenties and thirties,
- 49:44Speaker 1: they didn't have all these colleges and all these degrees
- 49:46Speaker 1: and stuff like these new preachers got these days. That
- 49:49Speaker 1: man now he was from back men and God called
- 49:52Speaker 1: them and that's what they went on too. And all
- 49:54Speaker 1: them people that they married back then, they did the
- 49:56Speaker 1: same thing to day. You don't need to know what
- 49:59Speaker 1: degree to say that the you're a preacher. You don't
- 50:00Speaker 1: need no life to say you're a preacher. Man. My
- 50:03Speaker 1: wife will been married for nine years. My kids have
- 50:05Speaker 1: been born in wedline. We were married. We were mad
- 50:09Speaker 1: by my friends and family. They was all there, sir.
- 50:13Speaker 1: The bottom line is that that you have been living
- 50:15Speaker 1: in sin because you have not been married with your
- 50:18Speaker 1: wife for the last nine years. And your kids, I
- 50:21Speaker 1: hate to say it, your kids are bastards. Now on
- 50:24Speaker 1: now I've been told you don't say nothing else about
- 50:27Speaker 1: my kids and I ain't no custom, but don't push me.
- 50:29Speaker 1: My kids ain't no bad said. You're understand me. You
- 50:32Speaker 1: don't getting there, sir. I'm trying to give you the
- 50:34Speaker 1: truth and try to get you in here and get
- 50:36Speaker 1: you married so you will not be living in sin
- 50:38Speaker 1: any more than what you are. I'm living in those sins.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Look now, you don't make me whoop your ASTs. You understand.
- 50:46Speaker 1: Man and my wife, we have been married for nine years.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Don't shoot up here call me talking about the way.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Ain't mad that man, ain't no preacher. You're understand I
- 50:54Speaker 1: get out of my whale. But you that's my life.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Those are my kids, they have been born and being lights.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Do you understand, sir. So I just wanted to call
- 51:04Speaker 1: and give you the information so that you could probably
- 51:06Speaker 1: stop living in sin. That's all I wanted to do.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I ain't even a gonna sin. That's what I just
- 51:10Speaker 1: told you. You ain't hit me. I ain't living an
- 51:12Speaker 1: no fin. Maybe you're the one that's living up some sin. Now,
- 51:14Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing else said to me? That man
- 51:16Speaker 1: and man that's nine years ago. They get your ass
- 51:20Speaker 1: off my phone. So so I have one more thing,
- 51:23Speaker 1: one more thing, I'd like to say, you ain't got
- 51:25Speaker 1: nothing necess say to me. You ain't get you ass
- 51:28Speaker 1: off my dam's phone. Ya, do you understand me? I
- 51:31Speaker 1: ain't got time for this publicly, sir. Can I say
- 51:33Speaker 1: one more thing? What you gotta say to me? Now? So?
- 51:36Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you know that this is
- 51:37Speaker 1: nephew Timmy from the Steve warp In Morning Show. Your
- 51:40Speaker 1: wife how Field got me to brank phone call you?
- 51:44Speaker 1: Oh man? Oh lord it do? Yeah? Uh yeah, I

- 51:54Speaker 1: me go that. Yeah, I'm gonna good that you say,
- 51:56Speaker 1: after you put you up to this, Afteria got me

- 53:23Speaker 1: like we're gonna read this one right here, right now,
- 53:25Speaker 1: and you never know, it could be yours. You just
- 53:27Speaker 1: never know. Buckle up and hold on tight. We got
- 53:31Speaker 1: it for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter. Yeah,
- 53:34Speaker 1: he's at work today, Thank you, Neshew. Subject I hate
- 53:38Speaker 1: all of his family and friends. Dear Stephen Shirley, my
- 53:44Speaker 1: boyfriend of two years has been talking about marriage, but
- 53:47Speaker 1: I hate all of his family and friends. We're both
- 53:50Speaker 1: thirty three years old and we met online. I got
- 53:52Speaker 1: offered a job promotion and a transfer to the city
- 53:55Speaker 1: where my boyfriend grew up. We decided I'd take the
- 53:58Speaker 1: job and we get married. So we relocated to the
- 54:01Speaker 1: city that he grew up in. We bought a house
- 54:04Speaker 1: within a week of moving, and it all happened quickly.
- 54:07Speaker 1: After we got settled, he decided it was time for
- 54:10Speaker 1: me to meet his parents. They don't live together, but
- 54:13Speaker 1: they are married. He said, it's complicated. I thought it
- 54:17Speaker 1: was strange that I'd never met them, but he always said,
- 54:20Speaker 1: there's no rush. Now I know why. So here's what
- 54:23Speaker 1: happened to make me hate everyone. We invited everyone out
- 54:27Speaker 1: to dinner, and the only way to get his family
- 54:30Speaker 1: to go was to agree to go to a buffet restaurant.
- 54:33Speaker 1: I don't like eating at buffets, and it's not because
- 54:36Speaker 1: I'm busgie. It's because I got very sick one time
- 54:39Speaker 1: from eating at a buffet and that has scarred me
- 54:42Speaker 1: for life. Two of my boyfriend, two of my boyfriend's
- 54:46Speaker 1: childhood friends came to dinner with us, along with his mom,
- 54:49Speaker 1: dad's sister, and his sister's four children. His homeboy smelled
- 54:53Speaker 1: like they work at a weed factory and they were
- 54:55Speaker 1: wrapping illicit lyrics at the table. His parents got into
- 54:59Speaker 1: an argument beca as his dad called his mom a trick,
- 55:02Speaker 1: and she flipped him off. I won't even mention the
- 55:05Speaker 1: four little, filthy children that were running all around the restaurant.
- 55:09Speaker 1: My boyfriend paid the bill for all these grown people,
- 55:13Speaker 1: and he looks so embarrassed. He's whispered that he hopes
- 55:16Speaker 1: this isn't a deal breaker. I don't want any of
- 55:19Speaker 1: these people to ever come to our house. But how
- 55:22Speaker 1: do I tell him that he's not at all like him?
- 55:25Speaker 1: Like them? So do you think he will understand? If
- 55:28Speaker 1: I'm honest, Well, yeah, I think he'll understand. But I
- 55:32Speaker 1: don't think you should tell him that. You definitely can't
- 55:35Speaker 1: tell him in that way that you don't ever want
- 55:38Speaker 1: them to come to your house. You got to remember
- 55:41Speaker 1: you're marrying him and not his family, and we know
- 55:43Speaker 1: you hate all of them and you don't care for them.
- 55:47Speaker 1: But like I said, please don't tell him that. I mean,
- 55:50Speaker 1: you can think of other ways to say it, you know,
- 55:53Speaker 1: or if they're or if they're coming over you know
- 55:56Speaker 1: you're busy, or whatever the situation. I mean, there are
- 55:59Speaker 1: still his family no matter what. The great part, you know,
- 56:02Speaker 1: look at the positive He wanted you to meet them. Okay,
- 56:05Speaker 1: it was about time you met his family, and that's
- 56:07Speaker 1: pretty big because here's a man taking you to meet
- 56:10Speaker 1: his family. A lot of times that's what we want,
- 56:12Speaker 1: to meet his family and to see you know where
- 56:14Speaker 1: he comes from. So that means he wants you to
- 56:17Speaker 1: be a part of his family. Okay, so that's a
- 56:19Speaker 1: good thing. He is embarrassed by them, though, he is embarrassed,
- 56:24Speaker 1: and it doesn't sound like they'll be coming around because
- 56:26Speaker 1: he's embarrassed and it took you a while to meet
- 56:28Speaker 1: them in the first place. He knows how they are
- 56:31Speaker 1: because he said he hoped you weren't. They weren't a
- 56:34Speaker 1: deal breaker meeting them. So we can't pick our family members,
- 56:39Speaker 1: we know that, but we can decide how we deal
- 56:41Speaker 1: with them. So you decide. You make the decisions of
- 56:44Speaker 1: you know, if and when they come to your house
- 56:46Speaker 1: and how that's gonna play out and all that. I mean. Otherwise,
- 56:49Speaker 1: if you love this man, you know you're gonna have
- 56:52Speaker 1: to deal with his family at some point. So you
- 56:55Speaker 1: know your options are to what sell your new house
- 56:58Speaker 1: that you just bought in the town he grew up in.
- 57:01Speaker 1: I doubt if that's gonna happen, you know, because you
- 57:04Speaker 1: guys just bought it. The housing market is crazy all that.
- 57:08Speaker 1: The other thing is, you know, you guys can build
- 57:11Speaker 1: a life together. You know when you do get married.
- 57:13Speaker 1: It sounds like you're headed in that direction. This is
- 57:15Speaker 1: the man you love. Build a life together with this man,
- 57:19Speaker 1: and to have minimal contact with his family. Don't invite
- 57:23Speaker 1: them over, Steve, This one is interesting. Everybody got some
- 57:31Speaker 1: family members, and they own family that they don't really
- 57:36Speaker 1: care for. So I can only imagine that Dad's gonna
- 57:42Speaker 1: be some people in their family, your spouse, mate, love
- 57:47Speaker 1: or friend, fiance, whatever, in their family that you're not
- 57:53Speaker 1: gonna like. Now y'all been together two years, you're moving
- 57:57Speaker 1: kind of quick. Your thirty three years old. You met online.
- 57:59Speaker 1: But you know this is the dude. You know. Y'all
- 58:02Speaker 1: got a job, you got offered the promotion. You transferred
- 58:06Speaker 1: to the city where your boyfriend grew up. You say
- 58:10Speaker 1: right at the top, I hate all his family and friends,
- 58:14Speaker 1: every at last one of them. We decided to take
- 58:17Speaker 1: the job that you got offered the promotion in we
- 58:20Speaker 1: getting married, so we relocated to the city that he
- 58:24Speaker 1: grew up in. We bought a house within a week
- 58:26Speaker 1: of moving. It all happened quickly, and then right after
- 58:30Speaker 1: y'all got son or he decided it was time for
- 58:32Speaker 1: me to meet his parents. Now hit a tricky part.
- 58:35Speaker 1: They don't live together, but they're married. He said, it's complicated.
- 58:42Speaker 1: We'll get into that in a minute. I thought it
- 58:46Speaker 1: was strange that I never met them, but he always said,
- 58:49Speaker 1: ain't no rush because he knew he loved you. He
- 58:53Speaker 1: can't let you meet his other side because you ain't
- 58:56Speaker 1: gonna understanding. Now he's different. He knew this was coming.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Here's what happened that made me hate everyone. Wow, we
- 59:07Speaker 1: invited everybody out to dinner, and the only way to
- 59:09Speaker 1: get his family to go was to agree to a
- 59:11Speaker 1: buffet restaurant. Now, right here we're talking about size. Now,
- 59:19Speaker 1: size or sides size? Okay, when the whole family insists
- 59:28Speaker 1: the only way we're going out it got to be buffet.
- 59:32Speaker 1: This ain't the first time they'd have made that decision.
- 59:36Speaker 1: This is a family thing. And if you go to
- 59:39Speaker 1: buffets a lot, you have some size on you. We'll
- 59:42Speaker 1: get into the rest of it when we come back.
- 59:45Speaker 1: These are big people you're talking about. Steve Harvey's a
- 59:49Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour Okay,
- 59:53Speaker 1: the subject of today's strawberry letter I hate all of

- 1:00:47Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter and finish up your response.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Today's subject is I hate all of his family and friends.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: You know, like I said, this is going to be
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: rough because everybody got some family members they don't care for.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Once you get into a relationship with somebody else, they're
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: gonna have some family members you don't care for. But
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: your hatred for them came all at once. This is
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: why you hate. You ain't met them but one time,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: and you have reached the conclusion that you hate all
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: of them. You know, now, y'all to move together, y'all relocated,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: y'all bought a house. Y'all to moved in it. You
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: got to settled. He told you it wasn't no rush
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: to meet his parents. Now you thought it was a
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: little bit strange, but he knew because this could be
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: a deal break up. First of all, they his parents,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: but they don't live together. We're gonna get into that.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: As to why I figured this out in the letter,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: here's what happened to make me hate everyone. We invited
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: everybody out to dinner. The only way to get his
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: family to go was to agree to go into a
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: buffet restaurant. Now, when everybody say we have to go
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: to a buffet a restaurant, it's because they need more
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: bought to the table and they wants to go get
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: their own portion sizes because they are unhappy with the
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: portions and choices of the menu. Some people like their
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: gravy to run into their potato salad. They won't. They
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: ham laying on top of their greens. You gotta baby
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: to go and fix your own plate. These as big
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: people we're talking about now, And I know they're big
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: people because they've decided as a unit, we ain't going
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: nowhere less. It's a damn buffet. These as big people now.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: And I'm just gonna tell you don't like my answer,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: I don't care. I've come to the conclusion in this
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: strawberry letter. This is a place full of big people
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: that I are proving. I don't like eating at buffet's
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: because I'm not budget. It's just because I'm very sad.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I got sick one time from eating at a buffet,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: and that has scarred me from life. Nothing stops big
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: people from eating at a buffet. They had all been sick,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: They had all seen people pick over the food. They
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: didn't seen people talk under the shield while they're getting
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: their food. But big people can they as they have
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: seen the sneezes, They have done all that they cough.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: They but big people don't give a damn because buffets
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: is for big people. Two of his childhood friends came.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: They smell like a weed factor. That's cause they smoke weed.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Thus the other reason we got to go to a
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: buffet cause we got too munchies. Now see this buffet
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: is all coming together now, and they were rapping explicit
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: lyrics at the table. Hell because they high. You thirty three.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: All his friends is all ass wanna be rappers that
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: ain't never made it. Now they at the table rapping
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: explicit lyrics because they high and they're hungry. His parents
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: got in the argument because the dad called his mama
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: a trick and she flipped him off. Nah, we're getting
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: into why they don't live together. Real big ass people
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: don't like staying together because it ain't a lot of room.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: They after buffet. They can't stay in each other. See,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the argument was a flip off, because that's all she
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: had the energy fault. She was big. She'd got to
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: walk around there and said what you say, But she
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: crossed the table. She couldn't get up, so she just
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: flipped him off because she big, She had the table
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: and that's and he knew she wasn't gonna get up.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: That's why he called her a trick in front of everybody.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: But he got the trick from the two little rapper
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: friends because they was probably doing a trick that it Son,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: this is terrible. See how this is working out right?
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Now together, I'll put all this together. They were doing
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: a trick daddy rap song. That's where he got the
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: term trick from because he didn't know it. Yeah, she
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: didn't want to mention the full little filthy ass kids.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: And I know they filthy because fat people don't like
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: bathe and other other people. The little kids are filthy, Yeah,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: because they don't big ass people ain't got no time
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: be washing the kids and got being over in the bathtub, breathing,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: losing your breath and all this hill. So just put
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: some calls on these little filthy ass kids and let
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: them run around. My boyfriend paid the bill for all
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: these grown people. He looked so embarrassed. He whispered that
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: he hopes this isn't a deal breaker. I don't want
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: any of these people to come over to our house.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: But how do I tell him that he's not at
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: all like them? So do you think he will understand
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: if I'm honest what Shirley said, you shouldn't be honest,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: And I can understand that and I respect that too,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: but you're gonna have to be honest. But if you
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: don't want to be honest, there's some things you can
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: do to keep their ass out of your house. First
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: of all, you let it be known that none of
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: your meals would be served buffet style. That's the first thing.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: We don't put no plates out where you can go around,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: scoop your own. No. That'll keep their big ass out
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: of the house right there. And then secondly, when they
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: come over, tell them that they have to select off
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: a predetermined menu what they want to eat when they
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: come over. That fat people don't like that, they're not coming.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: And you can keep them people out your house for
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: years like that. For you look at the time or
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: every time you have a family gathering, Kenny, big ass
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: right back down to that buffet and deal with it
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: and then just go home. Thank you so much. All right, Well,

- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Daniels have rekindled their professional relationship and will work together
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: on Netflix's movie Demon House. Precious, of course, was the
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: last movie that Daniels and Monique worked on together, which
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: was a huge success and led to Monique winning the
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Following the Oscar ceremony that year,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Monique alleged that Lee Daniels, Oprah Winfrey, and Tyler Perry
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: blackballed her because she chose to spend time with her
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: family instead of going and promoting Precious. They all denied
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: blackballing her, but Monique and Daniels didn't speak for thirteen
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: years because of this disagreement. The two made a men
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: on Friday. While Monique was on stage during her Monique

- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Y'all think that pressions was just that wasn't that was?
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: That was God working through both of us. And we're
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: gonna again. Wow. Well that's good. That's thirteen years. Yeah,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: squashed it. Yeah, forgiveness and all of that. That's good.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Go get it, go make them moving. Yeah, you hate
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: to hear that. You hate to hear about the beam
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: like that last Yeah. Yeah, they've made up good. Yeah right,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: ain't nobody slapped nobody up there? This is good, This
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: is really it was all live moment hugs, love and hug. Yeah.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: You do have to be careful now. I guess if
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: you're if you perform on stage and somebody just walks
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: on stage, you will get a little tight, won't you.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Now we are. It's gonna be a little different now though,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: because the presenters is gonna be a little bit more
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: you know, prepared guard. I mean, like they all saying
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: to say, when I see you coming, I'm gonna get
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: on that back leg. Yeah yeah, I don't know if
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Monique knew he was going to come on stage and apologize,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: but I'm sure she she welcomed it, and she was
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: very happy that their beef is squashed. And now she's back,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: you know, she'll be back on Netflix. So good, full
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: circle moment. Yeah, working again, fifty cents showing a love
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: So there it is, yes, what it's all about. Good.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: I'll never forget when she came to the studio and
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: I got a chance to hold her Oscar that I
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: remember the moment for me. Yeah, that was the moment
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: for me. Yeah. All good? Oh good. So, speaking of
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: this past weekend, did y'all see uh Saturday Live the

- 1:14:10Speaker 1: has resigned from the Academy and the Academy will meet
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: on April eighteenth to decide um the disciplinary actions they're
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: have for Will. So that's the update on that as well.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: You know you think that will be. What kind of
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: disciplinary actions is that? Like, can't come to the oscars?
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I mean, what is that? Yeah, you don't know. I
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: mean he already nominated again, yeah next year. Yeah, some
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: people were calling for him to give back his oscar.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: I don't think they're going to do that, but I
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: think that that was a bit extreme. Yeah, well I ain't.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: I ain't gonna bring it back down there. If you

- 1:21:15Speaker 1: have to pull one of my young employees to the side.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I kind of had this conversation with him in New
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: York the other day because I see an adjustment that
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: needs to be made. And sometimes, man, when I'm sharing
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: this information, it's not because I know everything. It's simply
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: because I've just been through a lot. You know. I'm
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: I'm sixty five years old. I've seen a lot of
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: endings to a lot of different movies I've seen. I've
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: seen a lot of shows. I've met a lot of people.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Very rarely do I meet a person that I've never
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: met before. You know what I mean in terms of
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: the type of person. You know, I've met all types
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: of people, and when I meet somebody that I've never
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: met before, it's really kind of shocking to me, you know,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: because I've met all types. Now, I'm not saying we're
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: friends anything, but because I am famous, I meet more
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: people than an average person does. Right, And so when
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I'm talking to people and I'm trying to share information,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: also have to understand that I'm being listened to by
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: all types of people. Everybody to listen to me is
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: not receptive. Everybody to listen to me is not positive.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Everybody that listens to me is not open. Everybody that
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: listen to me don't want to hear what I got
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: to say. I understand that. So with that in mind,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: I always understand that I'm not talking to everybody. You know,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I was talking off camera world. I'm never off camera.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I found out because they tape everything I do. But
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: I was on a commercial break and I was talking
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: about God and a woman stood up and said, well,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: I'm an atheist. I said, okay, well that ain't got
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: nothing to do with what I'm saying, though she said, yeah,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: but I'm an atheist and I'm in here and I
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: don't believe in God. Okay, then I ain't talking to you,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna stop saying what I have to
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: say because there are a lot of people in here
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: who believe in God, and I'm just giving you a
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: thought that I have. And she was insistent, I'm an atheist.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Be an atheist, do you? But don't. I ain't got
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: to accept your belief that there is no God, no
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: more than you have to accept mind that there is.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: You know, in her argument got crazy? But what if
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you get there and you find out it ain't no God? Man,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: the bigger problem is gonna be is if you get
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: there you find out it is one. That's gonna be
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: the bigger problem if you're you know, if I get
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: to the end, I find out it ain't no God,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: then I live the best that couldn't and had a
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: conscious and try to treat people writing, try to go
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: buy some rules and stuff and if it ain't no God,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: which it is, but okay, then cool, I okay, who
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: who truth? Who joke on me? But now your problem
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: is if you get there and it is a god
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: and you've been talking talking to his whole life like
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: it ain't one, been doing like you want to. So
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: I don't really have time for that. But I was
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: talking about this subject of just talking to people who
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: I know. Everybody's not listening to me, so what I'm
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: about to tell you is not going to affect everybody
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: the same way. Listen to this. I'm trying to talk
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: to this young guy and people that work for me
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: to get them to understand because they always ask me, Steve,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: why do you do so much? And you do. I
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: do a lot of stuff you don't. I don't get
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: paid for it. But see, if you're not willing to
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: do more than what you're being paid for, then you'll
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: never be paid more for what you're doing. If you're
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: not willing to do more than what you paid for,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: then you will never be paid more for what you're doing.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: It's the act of giving and I don't I don't
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: want you to live your life and not understand that.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: You know, because if you give expecting for even exchange,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: if you're not trading, if you're just trying to trade,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this for exactly that, or I'm doing
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: this if you give me that, or I'll do this
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: only if I get this in return. Then that's not given.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: You trade and to order to give. To get the blessings,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: you got to give graciously. That's not always knowing what
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: the comeback is gonna be. That's when you open up
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: your life to God's grace, mercy, and favor. That's how
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you do it. It's by giving. It's just one of
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: the laws of ruin. You know, it's just a law
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: of the universe. And you have to think about that.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: So listen to me. If you're not willing to do
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: more than what you're being paid to do, then you'll
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: never be paid more for what you're doing. Understand that
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: you're gonna have to plant some seeds in the ground
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: and not know when they're gonna grow up. You got
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: to put some seeds in the ground without understanding that
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: this fruit may not do developed within the next year.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: You gotta put some seeds in the ground realizing that
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: you may not bear fruit from this seed for fifteen years.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: But if you're in the trading business, you'll never put
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: the seed in the ground because you want something for
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: your efforts right now. And I can't tell you how
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: many seeds I planned over the years that are just
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: starting to come to fruition. But you got to be
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: willing to do more than what you're being paid to do.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: If you ever expect to be paid for more than
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: what you do, remember that it is a simple law
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: of giving, and until you learn how to give that way,
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: you won't receive the full benefits. I'm just telling you
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: what I've learned over the years. Those are my closes remarks. Hey, listen,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: I hope you like that. When if you didn't like that,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: when tune in the mall, God will not have another one.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: But listen, here's the most important thing. Talk to God.
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: He would love to hear from you. For all Steve
