- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. Y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit on giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the million bucks things and the stubs, good of ststening
- 0:24Speaker 1: to the other for stay, I don't join Jo. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta turn hur you're going to do? You are? You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out? You haven't got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out? Then turn the water. The water got me?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your ba uh huh, I sure will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now. One and all is Steve Harvey.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. Steve Harvey got a radio
- 2:12Speaker 1: show because God in the blessing business. Yeah, that's all.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I'm just a recipient. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:21Speaker 1: because God is in the show you favor business. He
- 2:25Speaker 1: showed me some favor. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:29Speaker 1: because God is in the forgiving business. God and forgave
- 2:34Speaker 1: me thousands and thousands of times, you know. And I
- 2:42Speaker 1: say that as a big number like that because it's
- 2:45Speaker 1: probably true. God is a forgiving God. That's how I
- 2:49Speaker 1: exist today, and that's how you exist today. And one
- 2:53Speaker 1: of the things I want to remind you about even
- 2:55Speaker 1: in existing today. You know, Joel Oldstein had a has
- 2:58Speaker 1: a book out called It's Your Time. I love this book.
- 3:02Speaker 1: It's called It's Your Time, And that's kind of what
- 3:05Speaker 1: I want to touch you on today, and I want
- 3:07Speaker 1: to remind you all that it's still your time. See,
- 3:14Speaker 1: you know there's look, you know, they've got unsuccessful people
- 3:20Speaker 1: have created a lot of sayings to justify our failures
- 3:25Speaker 1: as people. Well, all, my ship has passed. That that
- 3:31Speaker 1: was created by a person who did not quite make
- 3:36Speaker 1: their goal in the amount of time that they had
- 3:39Speaker 1: set for. So to justify it, here comes this great,
- 3:42Speaker 1: seemingly very clever saying, and a lot of us adapt, Well,
- 3:47Speaker 1: my ship has passed, so we adopt that. Here's another one. Well,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I guess it just wasn't meant to be. That sounds good,
- 3:55Speaker 1: don't it, because they mix it up with a little
- 3:58Speaker 1: bit of faith base in it. I guessed it wasn't. Well,
- 4:02Speaker 1: here's another one. I guess if God wanted it for me,
- 4:05Speaker 1: i'd have it. Are you serious? Man? Are you serious?
- 4:12Speaker 1: You're actually gonna use that one to to to justify
- 4:17Speaker 1: where you are in life? Man? That's that's so that's
- 4:22Speaker 1: so not the case. I want to remind everybody today
- 4:26Speaker 1: that it's still your time. That you know your ship
- 4:31Speaker 1: hasn't sailed, you didn't miss all of your opportunities. There's others.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It's still your time. You know you still got a chance,
- 4:44Speaker 1: You still have a shot. Here's a good one. You
- 4:49Speaker 1: still have hope, you do all of you. As long
- 4:56Speaker 1: as God is who he is, there's always hope for you.
- 5:02Speaker 1: You can never lose sight of that. You can never
- 5:05Speaker 1: let the devil win that battle that there is no
- 5:08Speaker 1: hope for you and cause you to do something that's unthinkable.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I'm just gonna cash in the chips. I'm gonna take
- 5:18Speaker 1: my life. I'm gonna commit suicide. No, no, no, wait
- 5:21Speaker 1: a second, wait a second, Are you for real? That's
- 5:25Speaker 1: not God talking to you. That's something wrong and it's
- 5:29Speaker 1: not coming from him. It's still your time, you still
- 5:35Speaker 1: got a chance. There's always hope. But listen to me.
- 5:39Speaker 1: You got to move and you got to move on it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So many people are not getting the full benefit of
- 5:48Speaker 1: their life, and so many people are not getting all
- 5:50Speaker 1: the blessings that God has for because you keep waiting
- 5:54Speaker 1: on the perfect time. Man, how many times have I
- 5:57Speaker 1: heard people come to me and say, a man, I'm
- 6:00Speaker 1: just waiting on everything to line up, right, Man, I'm
- 6:03Speaker 1: waiting on the perfect time to get He can't tell
- 6:06Speaker 1: you something. If I were waiting on the perfect time,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I wouldn't be hardly any of the things that I've become.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And one of my greatest blessings was marrying Marjorie. I
- 6:23Speaker 1: wouldn't even have married Marjorie if I was waiting on
- 6:27Speaker 1: the perfect time, because I had gone through what I
- 6:30Speaker 1: thought was enough misery to cover my entire lifetime. And
- 6:35Speaker 1: so when I was first divorced, I just said, man,
- 6:42Speaker 1: it's gonna be five six years before I do this again.
- 6:46Speaker 1: I said it two years later I was married. But
- 6:52Speaker 1: guess what, man, it wasn't the perfect time. I didn't
- 6:57Speaker 1: have my ducks, all my ducks lined up in a row.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It was still some things I needed to clean up.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I even told her, it's some things I want to
- 7:05Speaker 1: clean up out of my life. Before you know it's
- 7:09Speaker 1: it's I want I want to make sure I got
- 7:11Speaker 1: all the stars a line up. You know I want
- 7:13Speaker 1: to I want to wait until all the ducks are
- 7:15Speaker 1: in a row. I was waiting on the perfect time.
- 7:20Speaker 1: If I had not stopped. And Marjorie and I had
- 7:23Speaker 1: set out and said to each other there will be
- 7:26Speaker 1: no perfect time, and then she said, I'll go through
- 7:31Speaker 1: with you whatever you're going through. That was it. I
- 7:36Speaker 1: took a chance. The ducks were not lined up in
- 7:41Speaker 1: a row. Had a lot of baggage in my life, man,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I wanted to try to clear up. I want to
- 7:47Speaker 1: do some things financially different. I wanted to just get
- 7:50Speaker 1: rid of some residue I had in my life. She said, no,
- 7:55Speaker 1: we'll do it together, because they ain't no perfect time.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And guess what it wasn't. So if you're out there
- 8:01Speaker 1: waiting on the perfect time to do something, it may
- 8:05Speaker 1: not come. There is no such thing as waiting on
- 8:08Speaker 1: the perfect time. I've said this a hundred times, and
- 8:11Speaker 1: here comes one on one. The road to success is
- 8:15Speaker 1: always under construction. You ain't gonna go out there and
- 8:17Speaker 1: there ain't no barrels on the road. You're not going
- 8:20Speaker 1: out there and not running too deep to a sign.
- 8:22Speaker 1: You're not going out there without seeing the men working
- 8:25Speaker 1: sign to get off. You're not going out there to
- 8:28Speaker 1: see it. So guess what, stop waiting on the stars.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I got, man, this is a perfect time. To do
- 8:34Speaker 1: it now. If you're waiting on the perfect time, that
- 8:38Speaker 1: could be one of your biggest problems. You're still waiting.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You have got to move and you've got to move
- 8:43Speaker 1: on it, and you've got to make a decision to
- 8:45Speaker 1: go now. God will get you through everything necessary for
- 8:50Speaker 1: you to get through. But you can't quit though. See
- 8:53Speaker 1: it's a disapart. You can't quit just because the road
- 8:57Speaker 1: you're own is under construction. You can't get off at
- 9:00Speaker 1: the exit because you're tired of all the bump of
- 9:02Speaker 1: the bumper traffic. It's that way. Get you some God,
- 9:07Speaker 1: like I said, get you some God, and go on
- 9:10Speaker 1: and go see what your life can be like. So
- 9:13Speaker 1: stop waiting on the perfect time, stop waiting on the
- 9:15Speaker 1: stars to align themselves. You got to move and you
- 9:19Speaker 1: got to move on it. Get you some God, apply
- 9:23Speaker 1: some faith, and get started. And remember when you get
- 9:26Speaker 1: out there, coming towards your goal. The road to construct,
- 9:29Speaker 1: the road to success is always under construction. If it
- 9:33Speaker 1: was easy, everybody would be it. Stop expecting it to
- 9:35Speaker 1: be easy. Come on out here, get up in this thing.
- 9:38Speaker 1: It's funky out here. Yeah I got all that. It's
- 9:40Speaker 1: hard out here, Yeah I got all that. But what
- 9:43Speaker 1: you wanna do, man, what you wanna do? You're gonna
- 9:47Speaker 1: push your chips up to the window. It ain't time
- 9:49Speaker 1: for that. You still got time, you still got a chance.
- 9:52Speaker 1: There's always hope, There's always God. That's my conversation today.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show, ladies and gentlemen, let me have
- 10:03Speaker 1: it your undivided attention. Please. This is the Steve Harvey

- 12:51Speaker 1: think there's You've never been scared of anything. I think
- 12:55Speaker 1: we can do this. I think you can hold here.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Concerns me about it? If I do it on the
- 13:02Speaker 1: date that I propose to you all, Could I be
- 13:06Speaker 1: putting something at risk that's so great a value than
- 13:11Speaker 1: the return on the investment for that show? That's all?
- 13:17Speaker 1: Can I say this? August? Yes, sir, Yes, sir, You

- 13:37Speaker 1: to talk about well, when you're not working, when you
- 13:39Speaker 1: lose your job, it can be very, very stressful. Okay.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And while it's the holiday season, it's also the end
- 13:45Speaker 1: of the year. Fourth quarter layoffs do happen sometimes at
- 13:49Speaker 1: some places. Experts say it's important to step up and
- 13:53Speaker 1: express condolences to those going through a job loss and
- 13:56Speaker 1: be sincere, even when it's difficult. If you get stuck
- 14:00Speaker 1: or if you're at a loss for words. Here are
- 14:03Speaker 1: a few expert tips to keep in mind. And Steve, yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna do one, and then I want you to,
- 14:09Speaker 1: you know, chime in of course. Uh take your lead,
- 14:13Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So this is if you
- 14:17Speaker 1: get stuck or if you're at a loss for words.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Here a few expert tips to keep in mind. All right,
- 14:22Speaker 1: take your lead from the person who just lost their job. Okay,
- 14:25Speaker 1: if they're running out of the building in tears, they
- 14:28Speaker 1: probably don't want to be chased. All right, what's wrong?
- 14:32Speaker 1: Cannot happen your girl? You know all of that one. Yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I'm just chilling, y'all. All right, So you running out
- 14:41Speaker 1: the crime? Yeah, I just lost my job. Okay, it's
- 14:45Speaker 1: the herd. Why you're wanting to send your check? Check
- 14:54Speaker 1: se they're chilling. Check the current. They're running out of
- 14:58Speaker 1: the building crying. Okay, be a little you you ain't
- 15:01Speaker 1: got your chair, Slow down, down, running back. That's one
- 15:12Speaker 1: way to handle one way to handle that one. All right. So,
- 15:16Speaker 1: so here's another tip. When someone loses their job. Remember
- 15:19Speaker 1: the news is theirs to share, not yours. Don't don't
- 15:24Speaker 1: go around telling everyone you know, so and so just
- 15:27Speaker 1: got fired. They just lost their don't do that posting it.
- 15:32Speaker 1: What would you mean to say, man, and letting people go, hey,
- 15:39Speaker 1: you're about Earl. You don't. They're letting people go about Earl. Man,
- 15:50Speaker 1: they're just telling you it's not yours to share. Let
- 15:53Speaker 1: Earl down that. Y'all need to get yourself ready, all right.
- 16:01Speaker 1: If you're not supposed to tell everyone, okay, here's another tip.
- 16:04Speaker 1: If you tell business okay, and this is gonna be
- 16:08Speaker 1: tough for you, Steve, because we all know you do not,
- 16:11Speaker 1: I repeat, do not make the situation about you. Okay,
- 16:18Speaker 1: don't you know who was about? Oh you're laid off me.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I don't give a damn bout these other people. How
- 16:27Speaker 1: you there laid off me? Chris Rockety kid? Won't the
- 16:32Speaker 1: bikes and all this here? You said to be the
- 16:34Speaker 1: laid all me? Well, well, if it's if it's if
- 16:38Speaker 1: what phone, if it's someone else that got fired WI
- 16:42Speaker 1: what phone on? Yeah? Don't do it, Steve, No, No,
- 16:48Speaker 1: somebody fin tell me something? What fall? Yeah? Why? Why?
- 16:55Speaker 1: And still don't say things to the person that Jesse
- 17:00Speaker 1: still working? You're telling all other people Tom sitting over
- 17:05Speaker 1: that still working. Here's another one, Steve to the person
- 17:14Speaker 1: that just got fired. Don't say things like, oh well,
- 17:17Speaker 1: at least now you get a chance to sleep in late.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Don't say that. Yeah, no, now hear what you say. Damn,
- 17:24Speaker 1: what you're gonna do now? Oh god, that's not a cam.
- 17:29Speaker 1: What you're gonna do now? Man? God, dog, that's cold. Man,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I don't do you like that? Right? Folk? Christmas? Amn's
- 17:39Speaker 1: let me in. So what you're fend to do though? Ye,
- 17:44Speaker 1: because like if you're gonna burn the building down when
- 17:46Speaker 1: you're coming back, call, I'm taking my luncheon. Just call
- 17:52Speaker 1: me for you come. Yeah, just a man, what the
- 17:54Speaker 1: plan that you me? And you've always been cool? I
- 17:57Speaker 1: just need to know what you find to do. Hear
- 18:00Speaker 1: anything I said? These are things that you're not supposed
- 18:04Speaker 1: to say to a person. You need to know. You
- 18:07Speaker 1: need to know if he's coming back. That's important. All right.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Here here's another one. You know, like you think you're
- 18:12Speaker 1: trying to help, so you send them job leads. Uh
- 18:17Speaker 1: better clearly beneath what they do really insulting. Okay, please
- 18:22Speaker 1: don't do that, a man, Look, I heard about what
- 18:25Speaker 1: happened to you yesterday. I know Frieday last day they
- 18:30Speaker 1: got paper route open listen. Hey man, you gotta do
- 18:36Speaker 1: something that's insulting my cousin. He going back to college,
- 18:43Speaker 1: so he ain't gonna he ain't gonna be able to
- 18:45Speaker 1: do it no more. He hiding back off the college.
- 18:47Speaker 1: He was just doing it for the Cristinal holiday when
- 18:49Speaker 1: he gets back. Man, I'm gonna give you the number
- 18:52Speaker 1: if you go down there, Man, tell him I'll sit
- 18:55Speaker 1: you down now and doc they'll put you right on.
- 18:57Speaker 1: He was in management. Yea, I know, man, but you
- 19:00Speaker 1: gotta do something. But use you as a reference. Hey man,
- 19:04Speaker 1: feel free, man, every bride it down that no me
- 19:07Speaker 1: and look, man, I got my nephew on. You can
- 19:10Speaker 1: go right in man, right in, right in man. What
- 19:13Speaker 1: they call that? That's a that nepotism. She would keep
- 19:16Speaker 1: it all in the family like you hired Tommy. Yeah, hey,
- 19:22Speaker 1: I know you in management, man, but hey you you
- 19:24Speaker 1: will be running that whole route that paper that morning. Yeah,
- 19:34Speaker 1: all that's yours. Though. Can you be at this parking
- 19:36Speaker 1: lot in Walmart and thirty Did you hear anything I
- 19:40Speaker 1: just said, Yeah, I heard what you said. If I'm
- 19:43Speaker 1: telling how to really go there, these are things that
- 19:46Speaker 1: you're not supposed to say. To people. Okay, well yeah,
- 19:50Speaker 1: like have a nice day. You can't. You can't say that.
- 19:54Speaker 1: But what else you got it? Got it? Steve hey
- 19:57Speaker 1: man having hanging out, You can't say stay with it?
- 20:02Speaker 1: Stay would what sleeve pike? Don't let the bag board bike?
- 20:07Speaker 1: They don't even go out there, man, keep head on dope.
- 20:12Speaker 1: What's the cousin? Okay? Yeah, man, ain't that'll be? But
- 20:19Speaker 1: you still employed that. I can't believe it, man, I
- 20:24Speaker 1: cannot believes him. Listen you, but you don't. Ain't no,
- 20:32Speaker 1: ain't no need y'all save around him. All Right, We'll
- 20:34Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 20:37Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Steve Morning Show. Time Now
- 20:43Speaker 1: for ask the clo Are you ready, Chief Love Officer
- 20:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Let's do it. This one is from Karna
- 20:52Speaker 1: in Indiana. I've been married for six years and my
- 20:56Speaker 1: husband is in hot water. But he turned the situation
- 20:59Speaker 1: around on me. He picked me up from work and
- 21:02Speaker 1: I saw a few strands of long blonde hair on
- 21:05Speaker 1: my seat. I held up the hair so he could
- 21:08Speaker 1: see them. He immediately went into defense mode and said
- 21:11Speaker 1: he goes to lunch with his female co workers so
- 21:14Speaker 1: there's probably hair on the back seat too. I ignored
- 21:17Speaker 1: him when we got home. He said it's the nagging
- 21:21Speaker 1: that he cannot stand and it makes him want to cheat,
- 21:25Speaker 1: but he hasn't. Wait what wa, Karna says? Karna says,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I'm not one to nag. So how did he turn
- 21:35Speaker 1: this around on me? Ran? I mean, Jesse, he understands
- 21:41Speaker 1: a number one rule, the best defense is a great offense,
- 21:46Speaker 1: and so he went offensive on you. Why you got
- 21:50Speaker 1: every right to nag of your blonde hand, your chair? Yeah?
- 21:53Speaker 1: See so now, yeah, I'm nagging, but you got co
- 21:58Speaker 1: workers women in my car? That why you got to drive?
- 22:03Speaker 1: Why they can't dry theirself to lunch? M hmm. Let's
- 22:07Speaker 1: see now if you sit there, it's not the nagging.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I don't cheat, but it makes me want to. Well,
- 22:13Speaker 1: God tell you what, Going out there and cheat and
- 22:14Speaker 1: see what happens better and that because that can easily
- 22:22Speaker 1: turn into loading and go and go to the job
- 22:28Speaker 1: and see who it is. I thought you're gonna go
- 22:32Speaker 1: to the lab. You're gonna take a blond piece of hand,
- 22:35Speaker 1: go to somebody's jobeyence, if we're trying to find out

- 30:38Speaker 1: weather I leave. Hey, hey, I leave a friday coming.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I got to say come this friday though, and just
- 30:52Speaker 1: tell you know, I've been here ten years and I'm
- 30:54Speaker 1: standing something every week. How about that? Yeah, country end,
- 30:59Speaker 1: because I've been how about that? Oh, I'm fine, grant up.

- 32:28Speaker 1: here and look. I put money down. I put put
- 32:31Speaker 1: money down. We are a trip. Yeah, we always have
- 32:36Speaker 1: to make it about us, no matter what. Ye Oh,
- 32:44Speaker 1: that happened yesterday. I was at this taco place and
- 32:49Speaker 1: the lady apparently she was there yesterday, so she bought
- 32:53Speaker 1: the exact same thing, right, so she gets it's a
- 32:57Speaker 1: soon as I walked in. How you doing? I'm like,
- 33:00Speaker 1: So when she checked out, the lady wrung it up.
- 33:03Speaker 1: So it was nine dollars the day before, whenever she
- 33:06Speaker 1: was there, but it was eleven yesterday. So she said, well,
- 33:09Speaker 1: why is it eleven dollars? And she said, well, ma'am,
- 33:12Speaker 1: you got an extra order chips in caso. I got
- 33:15Speaker 1: there yesterday and she said, well, let me see the receipt.
- 33:17Speaker 1: So the girl pulled the receipt on and she gave
- 33:19Speaker 1: it to it. She said, yeah, but they didn't charge
- 33:21Speaker 1: you for the caso for the cheese yesterday. Well, that
- 33:24Speaker 1: ain't my problem. I'm not been gigging though two extra
- 33:27Speaker 1: dollars because they ain't a charge I want to pay,
- 33:29Speaker 1: I said, here we goars. But she had the phone
- 33:40Speaker 1: the whole time. She said, I don't want the caso.
- 33:42Speaker 1: When the chips just rang up the taco salad, man,
- 33:45Speaker 1: I said, boy, and you always standing behind that person
- 33:50Speaker 1: to always, and it looked like and it looked like
- 33:54Speaker 1: you with them. When you step back two feet back
- 34:02Speaker 1: and started looking around, you're trying to let other people
- 34:05Speaker 1: in front of you. Gone, man, all right, thank you enough.
- 34:10Speaker 1: You you're listening to show time now for would you rather?
- 34:17Speaker 1: Would you rather give up your cell phone for a month,
- 34:19Speaker 1: or would you rather give up bathing for a month? Hello, baby,
- 34:26Speaker 1: I'm Benna. Put together some funk your deals. I can't
- 34:29Speaker 1: make no money. Put out this phone. I'm gonna gone.
- 34:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna just carry my laptop. I see my son
- 34:35Speaker 1: FaceTime on his computing. Everything I got because let me
- 34:40Speaker 1: explain some tea. If you're laying in the bed, niked
- 34:46Speaker 1: and you raise your knee up buy your chests. That
- 34:53Speaker 1: dry ice cloud comes out your crack Jesus up over
- 34:58Speaker 1: the hump of your and slides along your waist. Time
- 35:03Speaker 1: roll up over your eilboat and come down behind your shoulder.
- 35:09Speaker 1: It knew like dry ice steps invisible, but that white
- 35:13Speaker 1: dry ice smoke, and then it come around your face
- 35:16Speaker 1: and it just lock on your face. You can't get
- 35:19Speaker 1: it off. I'd rather not know you're going to bathe.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I got to man Ain't no way in the world
- 35:30Speaker 1: that that dumb that third day and then you got
- 35:35Speaker 1: twenty seventh mo Yeah, yeah, you might not even have
- 35:43Speaker 1: to raise your leg off after two weeks. You just
- 35:47Speaker 1: need to stop walking. If you walking in flies just
- 35:52Speaker 1: buzzing round your head, just following you, just buzzing, You're
- 35:59Speaker 1: looking like pigs peeing on Charlie Brown. All right? Would
- 36:06Speaker 1: you rather never age physically? Never age physically, or would
- 36:10Speaker 1: you rather never age mentally? I could stay right here,
- 36:14Speaker 1: I'm sorrying right here. I got enough to make it
- 36:16Speaker 1: on it. If I think like this at one hundred,
- 36:18Speaker 1: I'd be cool with it. Yeah. So physically yea ohoh,
- 36:23Speaker 1: physical stay right here? Ye? Would rather never on this show.
- 36:27Speaker 1: You know, you know, you know we're pretty good. Look
- 36:29Speaker 1: at Morning Show. When you look at you know, Yes,
- 36:34Speaker 1: Tommy and Junior can still run. I can trot for
- 36:39Speaker 1: short distances. We we we mobile trot for shorting distances.
- 36:48Speaker 1: If I do an outburst, it's got to be about
- 36:51Speaker 1: four five steps. Got shut it down. I immediately got
- 36:56Speaker 1: to pull up because I have heard about to come
- 36:58Speaker 1: right after that. Don't hurt, don't pull anything. Oh and Junior,
- 37:05Speaker 1: what about you? Would you rather never age physically or mentally? No? Mentally?
- 37:09Speaker 1: I want to be mentally because physically it ain't working
- 37:11Speaker 1: for me. Now I'm just in there. I'm ending him,
- 37:14Speaker 1: but ain't. Ain't nothing happening in there, Tommy quickly physically, okay, okay,
- 37:22Speaker 1: all right, well thank you. That's around developing physically where
- 37:25Speaker 1: you've been done. Then we'll be back. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 37:35Speaker 1: go ahead. Well, now what you about to him? It's
- 37:43Speaker 1: pure comedic genius. But I must lay a disclaimer. This
- 37:51Speaker 1: is going to be a little edgy, just gonna ruffle
- 37:58Speaker 1: a couple of feathers. So I'm just letting you know this.
- 38:03Speaker 1: This is Jay Anthony Brown. He asked me do it
- 38:09Speaker 1: and I kind of got an idea. I don't know
- 38:12Speaker 1: exactly what it is, but I'm in supportive comedy. Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 1: but I'm saying we're doing this with a disclaimer that
- 38:22Speaker 1: no one can call us and say nothing about it.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I don't know exactly what he gonna do, but he
- 38:28Speaker 1: could roughle some feathers, ladies and gentlemen. Jay Anthony Brown,
- 38:32Speaker 1: all right, what I'm what I'm about to do right now?
- 38:36Speaker 1: Every year, a lot of people, good people you know,
- 38:40Speaker 1: meaning good have Quansa parties. Now, okay, let's stop right there. Yes,
- 38:46Speaker 1: I don't think it's a lot of people. You can
- 38:49Speaker 1: go ahead. You must be trying to build this joke
- 38:53Speaker 1: up and not a lot of quans How about people
- 38:59Speaker 1: have quanza party and don't a lot of people come?
- 39:02Speaker 1: And they wonder why people don't come. What I have
- 39:07Speaker 1: is suggestions to get more people to your Quanza party.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Number one, offer a free die. She get anybody who
- 39:17Speaker 1: will show up, one size fit all right, everybody that
- 39:32Speaker 1: shows up your Quansa party, you get a free bean piper.
- 39:37Speaker 1: If you don't like me, seetato, if you can't everybody
- 39:41Speaker 1: don't like me. Okay, now this one is really good.
- 39:46Speaker 1: This is really really good. If you have a quanza party, Steve,
- 39:51Speaker 1: you can demonstrate what I mean by this. Do you
- 39:53Speaker 1: not have more than two philosophying brothers or sisters at
- 39:59Speaker 1: your party? I don't want it through. You don't want
- 40:02Speaker 1: more than two in there. You don't want to you know, brothers.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Let me say this about this time, this period that
- 40:08Speaker 1: we partake of in this equestrious moment, yea of history
- 40:13Speaker 1: defiling or the gratuitousness and the barbarousness of what these
- 40:20Speaker 1: holidays are. Two, that's why we celebrate qualsa. But I
- 40:25Speaker 1: dare say, though, brother, I don't want that we have
- 40:31Speaker 1: comptulate this situation, knowing that it is far regarically not
- 40:38Speaker 1: a capability of scientific split. Let let me interject some
- 40:43Speaker 1: sensibility into this conversation. Okay, you don't want a whole
- 40:48Speaker 1: bunch of them at your party? Okay, it tends up
- 40:51Speaker 1: the mood. Number five, Easer, This is very important. Easer.
- 40:58Speaker 1: You know what ease up? Meaning? Right, he's up on
- 41:01Speaker 1: the incense and sage. Okay, because the black of my
- 41:12Speaker 1: nose is burning, how my shoes? The like I got
- 41:19Speaker 1: a headache? Noxious? Too much? Okay, I'm my green tastes
- 41:27Speaker 1: like save number two, you want number seven, you want
- 41:36Speaker 1: to play something other than the Lion King. And this
- 41:39Speaker 1: is ver iportant. The African Drummers don't have to play
- 41:44Speaker 1: all night long, okay they Shirley and lastnight, last night.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Don't tell nobody it's a quis a party. Just tell
- 41:58Speaker 1: the come over. I have to tell him something, you can.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I'm having a barty. I'm having a party, all right. Listen,
- 42:14Speaker 1: coming up for the nephew, uh, with today's prank phone
- 42:19Speaker 1: call that's coming up right after that cornbrass fell like
- 42:26Speaker 1: you're listening all right, coming up at the top of
- 42:32Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after it's my strawberry
- 42:34Speaker 1: letter for today's subject, I'm losing my fine and flirty wife.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Right now, it is the nephew in the building with
- 42:41Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. What's your god? But cheeks? What crazy?
- 42:47Speaker 1: That's the name of the prank butt cheeks. Okay, let's
- 42:50Speaker 1: do it. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Carmen, Miss
- 42:54Speaker 1: miss Carmen. Uh, this is a made uh my ass's call.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I'm the principal at the high school where your daughter goes.
- 43:02Speaker 1: This is mister Porter Porter, How are you doing today?
- 43:05Speaker 1: I'm fine. Is everything good? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, every
- 43:08Speaker 1: every everything is everything is fine. Now your daughter is
- 43:11Speaker 1: tenth grade, Crystal right? Correct? Okay, okay, I want to
- 43:16Speaker 1: make sure I'm you know, we got so many kids
- 43:18Speaker 1: with the same names. I wanted to make sure I
- 43:19Speaker 1: had the right person. Um, So here's the issue. You
- 43:23Speaker 1: say your name was Nate, Yeah, okay, Nate. What were
- 43:26Speaker 1: the problem we're having here at the school is I
- 43:28Speaker 1: don't know if you are aware of it, but when
- 43:30Speaker 1: your your wife drops Crystal off at school, we've got
- 43:34Speaker 1: the parents as well as some of the teachers. They're
- 43:38Speaker 1: they're complaining about what she's um, what she's wearing. What
- 43:43Speaker 1: your wife is wearing. Yeah, what she's wearing when she
- 43:45Speaker 1: drops the kids off. Evidently her clothes are very skimpy
- 43:49Speaker 1: and her butt cheeks, her butt cheeks are out. You know,
- 43:53Speaker 1: I don't know if she's I haven't actually seen her,
- 43:56Speaker 1: but I've been getting these reports from we've been getting
- 44:00Speaker 1: that's a little strange to me. I'm typically at work. Uh,
- 44:03Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what she's wearing. I'm I'm
- 44:06Speaker 1: gonna have to talk to her later on today. Okay, Well,
- 44:09Speaker 1: what I was gonna suggest is uh you know, I
- 44:13Speaker 1: actually I thought I was calling her phone. I didn't
- 44:16Speaker 1: know I was. I was gonna get you. But what
- 44:18Speaker 1: I wanted to do is get her to come up
- 44:21Speaker 1: here so I can see what she wearing. You know.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, I think I got this handle.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Due I can take care of it. Well, well, well,
- 44:29Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be better for both of us,
- 44:31Speaker 1: like if I was able to see her uh in
- 44:34Speaker 1: the and let her look look player, look look I
- 44:38Speaker 1: got it my daughter. This is not even really concerning
- 44:41Speaker 1: my daughter. This is uh you know, this is this
- 44:44Speaker 1: is above that. Take radelet let me handling. So um.
- 44:48Speaker 1: You know, you know my daughter going to Principal's office
- 44:50Speaker 1: is one thing. I'll be on top of that, but
- 44:51Speaker 1: I'm definitely gonna be on top of this. So so,
- 44:54Speaker 1: like I said, I think I got this handle right now.
- 44:56Speaker 1: What now, your wife, Carmen, is she there? Uh? Yeah, okay,
- 45:02Speaker 1: I mean, is there any way I can talk to her? No?
- 45:05Speaker 1: Like I told you, I think I think I got
- 45:07Speaker 1: this one. I can take care of this. Um. And
- 45:11Speaker 1: you know, my thing is, I've already told you that
- 45:13Speaker 1: three times. I don't know, we're really going with this.
- 45:16Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna I'm gonna talk to her and
- 45:18Speaker 1: get the situation situation rectified soon as I can. Okay,
- 45:22Speaker 1: but we don't, don't. You don't need to You don't
- 45:24Speaker 1: need to see her, you know, talk to her or
- 45:26Speaker 1: another being the principle here at the school, sir. Uh
- 45:30Speaker 1: Like I said, um, you know, I'm just trying to,
- 45:33Speaker 1: you know, handle the school and orderly fashion and make
- 45:35Speaker 1: sure that all things are taking care of around here
- 45:38Speaker 1: and we have no issues and no problems. So what
- 45:40Speaker 1: I whatever? Play, You're not talking to my daughter, You're
- 45:42Speaker 1: talking to me. I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm a husband,
- 45:45Speaker 1: I'm a father. I'm telling me when I tell you,
- 45:47Speaker 1: I gotta handle I got it handle. I understand it.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I have to handle my school. Though. You understand that
- 45:53Speaker 1: I have to hand my school. I will drop my
- 45:55Speaker 1: door off myself. Okay, I understand that. What No, I mean,
- 45:58Speaker 1: do I need to come up there and talk to you? No?
- 46:00Speaker 1: I need your wife to come talk to me. I
- 46:02Speaker 1: need to see what she'd be wearing. I don't need
- 46:03Speaker 1: to talk to my wife. Pay Do you have a wife, Yeah,
- 46:07Speaker 1: I have a wife. Became of my office, but what
- 46:09Speaker 1: what what do you? What do you? What are you?
- 46:10Speaker 1: What are you talking about? No, what are you talking about? That?
- 46:13Speaker 1: My wife needs to come and and and so you
- 46:15Speaker 1: can inspect her outfit. I'm not playing that game, player,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I'm not We're not doing that. Okay, I need to
- 46:20Speaker 1: see what your wife be wearing when she's dropping these kids.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I send your pictures. Hey, man, I mean I think
- 46:26Speaker 1: we must have gone down the wrong street. But yeah, no,
- 46:29Speaker 1: we do definitely down the wrong boulevard on this one. Player. Okay,
- 46:32Speaker 1: let me let me just make it very clear to you.
- 46:34Speaker 1: My wife you're seeing in the office and all that.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Maybe we can come up to you to morrow. It's
- 46:39Speaker 1: gonna be me and her. No, he's not coming up
- 46:41Speaker 1: to the principal's office. You don't need to do it.
- 46:43Speaker 1: But we don't have a problem with you. We just
- 46:44Speaker 1: need her. I just need to see you. You're gonna
- 46:48Speaker 1: have a problem with me. We keep going down this
- 46:50Speaker 1: role right now. Okay, so, so bro so it's okay
- 46:53Speaker 1: for her to have her butt cheeks out when she
- 46:54Speaker 1: dropped the kids. All but as soon as I want
- 46:56Speaker 1: to have her come out of office for a meeting
- 46:58Speaker 1: about this situation, right now right now, you he said,
- 47:02Speaker 1: you claiming her, but ceases out like ceases out right now?
- 47:05Speaker 1: You out of pockets? Okay, No, it was out of
- 47:08Speaker 1: pocket when she pulled up and got out the car
- 47:10Speaker 1: and her butt was out of pocket. That's when it
- 47:12Speaker 1: was out of pocket. So so what you can't do, Nate,
- 47:14Speaker 1: is be mad at me by what your wife then
- 47:16Speaker 1: put on and wall up into the school. Look, man,
- 47:19Speaker 1: like I said, I'm I'm gonna do what I gotta
- 47:21Speaker 1: do on this on this end, your end is to
- 47:24Speaker 1: handle what's going on in your school. Well, but Denny,
- 47:26Speaker 1: you're not handling that end over there. So that's why
- 47:29Speaker 1: I'm stepping up as the principal of the school saying
- 47:31Speaker 1: I need to have a meeting, a private meeting with
- 47:34Speaker 1: your wife so when her and I can talk about
- 47:36Speaker 1: what she's wearing. Look, man, I haven't told you several
- 47:39Speaker 1: times her coming up there on her own, it's not
- 47:42Speaker 1: gonna happen. So this is where we at right now.
- 47:44Speaker 1: You know what you're not gonna happen. So what so
- 47:48Speaker 1: what you're saying, you what's gonna happen tomorrow? I'm gonna
- 47:51Speaker 1: come up there and drop my daughter off and come
- 47:53Speaker 1: see you. So you're coming here tomorrow absolutely, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 47:59Speaker 1: So are you bringing miss Carmen, which, don't worry about
- 48:02Speaker 1: who's Whitney. I'm not a telephone touchcot money. I'm coming
- 48:06Speaker 1: up there to handle this right now because you out
- 48:08Speaker 1: of that. This is how it's going down. There will
- 48:10Speaker 1: be no butt cheeks coming out out tomorrow. It's just
- 48:13Speaker 1: gonna be coming out to car or some real you
- 48:16Speaker 1: una stand. What's your name again? My name? I'm Poort,
- 48:20Speaker 1: the principal here. All right, There'll be no butt cheeks tomorrow.
- 48:23Speaker 1: You will see me coming out the car. Okay, okay, okay, Uh, well,
- 48:29Speaker 1: there is there is another issue we got here on
- 48:32Speaker 1: the table, and what is that? So, so Miss Carmen
- 48:36Speaker 1: as she told you about, uh, the conversation she's been
- 48:40Speaker 1: having with Tommy. Who it is Tommy? So that once again,
- 48:44Speaker 1: so your wife ain't telling you nothing. So she hadn't
- 48:46Speaker 1: told you nothing about her talking to Tommy. No, dude,
- 48:50Speaker 1: I don't want to play games man. Who's Tommy? Okay?
- 48:52Speaker 1: So so, okay, okay, do you know okay, okay, cool?
- 48:57Speaker 1: Do you know who nephew Tommy is from? Steve Harvey

- 51:21Speaker 1: Buckle up, hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 51:23Speaker 1: Here it is. It's the Strawberry Letter. Subject. I'm losing
- 51:28Speaker 1: my fine and flirty wife. Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been
- 51:33Speaker 1: married for close to eight years, and over the weekend,
- 51:36Speaker 1: my wife told me that she is not in love
- 51:39Speaker 1: with me anymore. I'm a big guy and my wife
- 51:42Speaker 1: used to be a big girl, but she recently had
- 51:45Speaker 1: cosmetic surgery to fix a few issues she was having.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Now she thinks she's God's gift to the world. She's
- 51:53Speaker 1: been posting all kinds of sexy pictures on Facebook, and
- 51:57Speaker 1: when random men comment on her pictures, she writes back
- 52:01Speaker 1: to them. It's like she craves the attention. I went
- 52:04Speaker 1: through her private direct messages on Facebook and found out
- 52:08Speaker 1: that she has been having several intimate conversations with different guys.
- 52:13Speaker 1: She even met up with one of the guys, but
- 52:16Speaker 1: it looks like nothing happened between them. Like I said,
- 52:20Speaker 1: I'm a big guy, and I was a big guy
- 52:22Speaker 1: when my wife when we got married. When I met
- 52:25Speaker 1: my wife, and when we got married, everything in our
- 52:27Speaker 1: marriage seemed to change. Once she had the weight loss surgery.
- 52:31Speaker 1: She's really feeling herself and forgetting about the marriage. Vows.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I still love this woman, and I praise her and
- 52:39Speaker 1: tell her how great she looks, but it's not enough.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I love her, but I'm afraid of losing her to
- 52:45Speaker 1: a man that's in better physical shape than I am.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Please give me some advice so I won't lose my wife. Well,
- 52:54Speaker 1: it kind of looks like you've lost her to a
- 52:56Speaker 1: degree already. You know, I'm really sorry that you're going
- 53:02Speaker 1: through this. I really am. Your wife is wrong, she's
- 53:05Speaker 1: out of line, and not to mention being very disrespectful
- 53:08Speaker 1: to you right now for her to say she's not
- 53:11Speaker 1: in love with you anymore. Why because you're still a
- 53:15Speaker 1: big guy. And she's lost weight or had this been
- 53:18Speaker 1: you know, happening for a while. Now she's stripping because
- 53:22Speaker 1: she lost the weight she had the surgery, and now, yeah,
- 53:24Speaker 1: you're right, she is feeling herself and thinking she's God's
- 53:28Speaker 1: gift to the world. You know, what can you do?
- 53:31Speaker 1: Please give me some advice so that I won't lose
- 53:33Speaker 1: my wife. You guys were both big when when you
- 53:37Speaker 1: got together. I mean, how's your health? How's everything? She
- 53:41Speaker 1: went and got surgery and everything. Why don't you consider that?
- 53:46Speaker 1: You don't have to. I'm not saying it, but why
- 53:48Speaker 1: don't you consider that on your own getting surgery and
- 53:51Speaker 1: losing the weight and going to the gym and you know,
- 53:54Speaker 1: changing your eating habits and things like that. Maybe it's
- 53:57Speaker 1: a good thing. You know, she's not going about it
- 53:59Speaker 1: the right way, but but it could be a good
- 54:01Speaker 1: thing for you and your health and everything, and you'll
- 54:03Speaker 1: feel better about yourself, you know, because a lot of
- 54:07Speaker 1: times when you start feeling good about yourself, especially if
- 54:10Speaker 1: you haven't in a long long time, you know, you
- 54:13Speaker 1: can react this way. I think your your your wife
- 54:16Speaker 1: is just you know, so crazy with this. She's not
- 54:20Speaker 1: in love with you anymore. So what is she going
- 54:22Speaker 1: to file for She is she going to file for
- 54:25Speaker 1: divorce now because she's not in love with you anymore? Uh?
- 54:28Speaker 1: You know, come on, this is just disrespectful. If it
- 54:33Speaker 1: were you who lost the weight and everything, she would
- 54:35Speaker 1: be feeling some kind of way as well. So you know,
- 54:39Speaker 1: all I can do is say, if she's gonna try
- 54:41Speaker 1: and disrespect you and walk out on you and divorce you,
- 54:44Speaker 1: you're gonna have to, you know, get yourself together, get
- 54:48Speaker 1: yourself together. If that doesn't keep her, then she wasn't
- 54:50Speaker 1: meant for you anyway, you know. Um, we talk about
- 54:54Speaker 1: this a lot on the on the show money makes
- 54:56Speaker 1: you more of who you are, Maybe, you know, losing
- 54:59Speaker 1: weight and and getting to yourself this is who she
- 55:02Speaker 1: was anyway. Maybe she settled for you, you know, in
- 55:06Speaker 1: her mind, and now she feels she can do a
- 55:08Speaker 1: lot better. But I think you can do a lot
- 55:10Speaker 1: better getting someone to respect you and love you for
- 55:13Speaker 1: who you are, and then you know, maybe together you
- 55:16Speaker 1: can lose and if that's what you want to do, Steve, Uh, well, yeah,
- 55:27Speaker 1: I know you're going in and you showed no the
- 55:31Speaker 1: hell I am. I don't even know? Why are we
- 55:34Speaker 1: really hin't here? We why anybody said the key words
- 55:39Speaker 1: and not anybody? I don't Okay, Shirley, I appreciate your
- 55:45Speaker 1: answer and everything, but let me try to help big
- 55:47Speaker 1: fella out. Big fella steal in low with this girl.
- 55:51Speaker 1: She wouldn't got herself together now she thinks she all
- 55:55Speaker 1: lad in a bag of chips. I don't know what
- 56:00Speaker 1: to tell you, man. Best thing I could tell you
- 56:02Speaker 1: is I think you ought to get in shape and
- 56:03Speaker 1: leave hub. That's my best advice to you. I can
- 56:09Speaker 1: see that she obviously does not know any scriptures do
- 56:16Speaker 1: unto others as you would have them do unto you.
- 56:19Speaker 1: She must not know that pride cometh before a fall.
- 56:23Speaker 1: She must not know that this from probably ain't in
- 56:25Speaker 1: that gluttony is a sin, that's not and he just
- 56:31Speaker 1: sitting up there, Okay, careful. That's why I'm there is
- 56:39Speaker 1: no real answer for this letter. I feel sorry for
- 56:43Speaker 1: the guy. It's a dog gonna shame that the woman
- 56:46Speaker 1: to win in there and told him. She don't love
- 56:47Speaker 1: him though, because she thinks she's gonna go out and
- 56:49Speaker 1: have this spectacle of life. But she findn't go out
- 56:51Speaker 1: here and find out what's really out here. It's a
- 56:54Speaker 1: lot of tricking going on out here, and she gonna
- 56:58Speaker 1: run into it. So even though I feel sorry for
- 57:01Speaker 1: your brother and you don't want to lose your wife,
- 57:03Speaker 1: and now she fine, best thing I could do for him.
- 57:07Speaker 1: If you can't beat them, join them. I suggest you
- 57:11Speaker 1: go get fine and you don't have to use surgery.
- 57:15Speaker 1: You can exercise and start eating the right foods and
- 57:18Speaker 1: you could get your inn in six months. Let her
- 57:21Speaker 1: go and you get somebody else too, right, take a
- 57:24Speaker 1: little long within it. Yeah, probably take a little bit
- 57:27Speaker 1: long into six months. You got the rest of your life.
- 57:31Speaker 1: And there's a lot of women out here looking for
- 57:33Speaker 1: good men like you. All right, Steve, we'll be back
- 57:36Speaker 1: with part two of your response to today's Strawberry Letters
- 57:40Speaker 1: subject I'm losing my fine and flirting wife. We'll be
- 57:44Speaker 1: back at twenty three after the hour. Right after this,
- 57:48Speaker 1: you're listening all right here, We are back with part
- 57:53Speaker 1: two of the Strawberry Letter for today's subject, I'm losing
- 57:56Speaker 1: my fine and flirty wife. You want to recap Steve
- 58:00Speaker 1: Dude met his wife. They were both large, full figured people.
- 58:05Speaker 1: They got married. When she married him, he was full figured.
- 58:08Speaker 1: She didn't mess around and got the little surgery and
- 58:11Speaker 1: now she didn't lost a bunch of weight. Now she fined.
- 58:15Speaker 1: She flirts with people all the time, people talking to him.
- 58:19Speaker 1: And you know, now she online having sexy conversations with
- 58:23Speaker 1: me and that's commenting on her picture and everything, and
- 58:26Speaker 1: she talking back to him. And dude been finding this.
- 58:30Speaker 1: And she even went out with one guy somewhere he
- 58:33Speaker 1: discovered and you know, they didn't have sex or nothing.
- 58:36Speaker 1: He don't think then she didn't came in the house
- 58:38Speaker 1: and told him she don't love him no more. And
- 58:42Speaker 1: one of the big things I didn't say in the
- 58:44Speaker 1: first hassle, she ain't used to this new attention she
- 58:47Speaker 1: got so now here she is. She brand new with it.
- 58:51Speaker 1: But she fled to find out a lot about attention.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Though all our attention don't come with good intentions. When
- 58:59Speaker 1: a person is paying your attention, what you really need
- 59:02Speaker 1: to do is locate and find out the intention. Because
- 59:07Speaker 1: attention is flattering, intention usually has a dark side to it.
- 59:14Speaker 1: That's what I found in my life. Ladies, let me
- 59:17Speaker 1: give you a piece of advice. Why are you sitting
- 59:20Speaker 1: there smiling and being flattered with the attention? What you
- 59:23Speaker 1: need to get to doing this? Focus on what his
- 59:27Speaker 1: intention is, because the intention could get you in a
- 59:30Speaker 1: lot of trouble. That's right, that's because she fine. Look, yeah,
- 59:36Speaker 1: but when you get over that, man, dog, you know what,
- 59:39Speaker 1: many find people out and met as something really wrong
- 59:43Speaker 1: with them. Yeah. Have you have you ever had a
- 59:48Speaker 1: conversation with somebody who, outward appearances you thought was cool
- 59:52Speaker 1: and then they started talking and you your eyes started
- 59:55Speaker 1: doing that rapid eye movement. Yeah, hey, like silence that
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you damn just scanning in the room trying to figure
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: out hold of man, is anybody watching me over here
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: in this corner with true? Yeah? It's sad man, So
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: always do that. Always think about attention that I'm getting,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: and right behind the attention, what is the intention? Yeah,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: she's disrespectful that. I think this happens a lot o
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: women to get these surgeries. I'm just saying that women
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: get these surgery You think it happens a lot and
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: then the husband is insecure after that? Yeah, I think
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: so I think it happens a lot, especially if they
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: were both you know, heavy to begin with. That's all right,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: you know. And so now she's changed, right and lost
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: all this weight. Now she doesn't want her husband anymore,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: so she's you know, seeking out other men. Yeah, that's terrible.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: You don't love You're gonna feel pretty insecure. Once she
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: tells you she don't love, you know more, and she
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: online talking to other people, You're gonna feel some kind
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: of way. That's hurtful. That's hurtful. No, man, if she's
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: wrong O money, Yeah, she's terribly wrong. Yeah, i'd probably
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: help pay for the surge. Yeah, oh yeah, I believe
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: that hard working man because it would make her happy. Dollar,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: because he wanted to make her happy. He can, you know,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: to do something to make himself feel better and get better,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: get healthy, you know, lose some weight if he he
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: doesn't seem like he didn't mention that in the letter,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: but I mean that could help him have more confidence
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: in himself. I mean, this could be the motivating factor
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: that a person need. Yeah. Absolutely, absolutely, he's hurt right now. Yeah,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: but you know what I mean, what you don't want
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: to do is compound the problem. With another problem. So
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: what you don't want to do is now you depressed.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Now you're sitting at the house eating because she out,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: and now you're eating and you compounding your problem. Yeah,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: now she come home, you got ice cream around your mouth,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: gotten milk commercial, and then you know where you're being baby,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: you know. So he could get in shape, definitely. Oh
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: he could just stop barbecueing every weekend, get her back fat.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Those are yeah, that sound. You can get yourself in
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: share here go your option. You can go plant base,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: gonna get yourself down, get self control, you can go
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: and get yourself in shape. All you could just go
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: on and start making pies and stuff and just get
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: your girl back fat, really work the fat back. Yeah yeah,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: but I feel for him. No one wants to be
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: in a marriage for eight years and then all of
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: a sudden somebody says I don't love you anymore. That's

- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I can't stand you. Oh yeah, that hurts. Hurt all
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: of it hurts. Yeah, it's hurtful, especially with someone you
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: still love. And he he clearly still loves his wife.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: You know, Oh that wasn't the case. Well, this letter
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: is not about you. I just want you to know

- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Did y'all enjoy that? You? H No? I didn't say.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: And you know what the problem is, Steve, me and
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Jay you know we talk on the phone. And did
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: you have a hot flash when you was on the
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: phone and get an inspiration? Yes? I did, Tommy, but
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: the whole world knows. Now, No, you're not. And turned
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: to as you're listening to show a new study from
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: um what is the Scrivens Hearing Care. Okay, they looked
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: at two thousand adults, okay, two thousand grown people. Research
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: shows that at least seven times a week men have
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: selective hearing in all. In all, men don't hear their
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: spouse three hundred and eighty eight times in the course
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: of a year. Women are two though. That's a lot, right,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: that's a lot. Three hundred and eighty eight times in
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: the course of a year. That's low. That's low. Sty
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: here ye, well right now, you're only talking a little
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: over once a day. That's an average one. What's a date? Okay, okay,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: so that ain't Yeah, that's not so bad. That's not
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: so bad. No, I tune that way. He got to
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: tune it the same thing him. What y'all talking? Listen? Wait?
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Wait what man? We just talked about that for fifteen minutes,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: because two hours you make the same twenty minute point
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: for two hours and wake up the next morning. Were
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: still talking about that? Man? Move on? God what yeah,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I'm hearing you, but I ain't listening no more. Man,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Did you hear what I said about letting out at
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: the job? Why are we still talking about Linda and ladies.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: But that's that thing, right that that's true. Yeah, we
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: do have selective here. So but it sounds like you
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: guys are responsing to nagging. That's a difference, right, is
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: it all? If you it all the same time? You no,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: because if you're talking, if you're talking too much. M h,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I'm just saying, which is often so it could be
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: about anything. Just the sound of my voice that you
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: just start tooting out after a while, tell me that's you. Well,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: you know what. That's okay, you're puffing about because you're
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: talking about the same thing what I'm asking you about
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: this survey though you're not answering. Uh No, I'm talking
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: about this period. You're talking about the same thing. And
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: then I can tell it's body because I look on Facebook.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Now you're posting stuff away, let it go, kid over
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: to social media. Social media. Now you're amens on the
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: damn what? Yeah, but let it. I think I think
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: it is a problem, and I think women could admit
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: to this one, because yes, men do have selective hearing,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: and we've had to develop that over the course of
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: time because and we've and more and more we've developed
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: more and more selective hearing because if there's a slight
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: difference in US, women vent differently than men. And when
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: women are around each other talking to their girlfriends, you
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: all have more of a tendency to talk about a
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: subject from every angle you turn it over. You all
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: can discuss one subject for hours. Men don't do that.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: We have a debate, somebody wins, loses, We have a
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: strong debate, then we laugh or we fight, and then
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: it's over. You all keep talking about it. And once,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: once a man has made all the points he can make,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: your point is irrelevant at this point because we've heard
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: it already. We don't agree with it, so we shut
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you out, and we all every every man trying to
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: do that. Yeah, yeah, we want your face and not
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: be hearing nothing. You saying, wait what I can look
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: dad in your face and not be hearing nothing. You saying,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: be looking dad at your mouth? Are you listening? Are
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: you listening to me? A girl? Yeah? Did you hear
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: what I just said? Schedule off will schedule of h
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: How many times Marjorie to looked at me and said, Steve,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: what did I just say? What did repeat? I say?
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: That's atash? You heard? You? Women are guilty team. They
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: don't listen, I'll be trying to think about what the
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: hell is she's three hundred and thirty nine times a year. Oh,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: we do it too. We tune y'all out? All right,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: coming up music and fun on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: We'll be back in twenty minutes after the hour. Right
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: after this, you're listening show, All right, Steve, it's time
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: for a quick health and wellness shout out. Give some um.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: You know you want to keep healthy thoughts and people
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: being healthy, and you're launching a brand new product, so
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: tell us about your elevation well On January third, I

- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and stuff that never reach your cellular level when you
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: drink greens. Greens especially are designed to go straight to
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: your cellular level and make you feel better on the
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: cellular level, helps give you better mental capacity increases your
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: energy where you can work out more. It's not a

- 1:13:10Speaker 1: does wonders for your digestive system. And that's so the
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: things I've been working on. People say, Steve, you look
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: young man, and I do, and I feel young because
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I take care of myself on the cellular level. So
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: on January third, and the launch is called Elevate You

- 1:14:02Speaker 1: carry my laptop. I see my son FaceTime on here
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: computing everything I got. Because let me explain something to you.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: If you're laying in the bed naked, you and you
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: raise your knee up by your chests, that dry ice
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: cloud comes out your crack yesses up over the hump
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: of your booty and slides along your waist time roll
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: up over your elbow and come down behind your shoulder.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: It looked like dry ice steppings invisible, but bagine that
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: white dry ice smoke and then it come around your

- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I got you man, ain't no way in the world.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Ye that that dumb that third day you got twenty
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: seventh mo. Yeah, for a whole month. Yeah, you might
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: not even have to raise your leg back to two weeks.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: You just need to stop walking. If you walking in
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: flies just buzzing around your ways, just following you, just
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: buzz You're looking like pig peeing on Charlie Brown. All right?
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Would you rather never age physically? Never age physically, or
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: would you rather never age mentally? I could stay right here.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I'm sorrying right here. I got enough to make it
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: on in If I think like this at one hundred,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: i'd be cool with it. Yeah. So physically yeah, oh
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: physically stay right yeah? Yeah? Would you rather never think
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: about all this on the show? You know? You know,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: you know we're pretty good. Look at morning show when
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: you look at you know, Yes, Tommy and Junior can
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: still run. I can trot for short distances. We we
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: we mobile trot for shorting distances. If I do an outburst,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: it's got to be about four five steps, I gotta
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: shut it down. I immediately got to pull up because
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I have heard about to come right after that. Don't
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: hurt nothing, don't pull anything. Uh, and Junior, what about you?
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Would you rather never age physically or mentally? No? Mentally
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I want to be mentally, but physically it ain't working
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: for me. Now. I'm just in there. I'm ending him,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: but ain't. Ain't nothing happening in there, Tommy quickly physically okay, okay,
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: all right, well, thank you. That's our round developing physically
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: where he've been done. Then we'll be back with our
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: last break up the day and closing. You're listening to right, Steve,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: here we are. It's good. It's been a good Day's
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: a good day. It's been a good day, Steve. I
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: know you have some inspiring words to leave us with today.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: You know, I got up yesterday and um, I was
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: about to do my morning meditation, and something told me
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: to just turn the TV on and look for Joel Olstein.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't turn the TV on because that's
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: my meditational time. So I turned it on and I
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: thumbed through and I found Joel Olstein right at eight
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: o'clock out in La. It was right at the exact moment,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: and I was there in time for the joke that
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: he does and a little funny thing he starts off
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: his service. And I was listening. He was talking about something, man,
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: that really struck a chord with me, and I think
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: has affected all of us at one point in time
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: in our life. And I wanted to share it with you, man,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: because it was so helpful to me. He was talking
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: about bitterness. He was talking about not allowing bitterness to
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: take hold in your life. He said the problem with
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: bitterness is that the longer you hold on to it,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: the harder it is to get rid of. And what
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: the basic thing in his sermon was, and I'm just
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: paraphrasing everything he was asking everybody, instead of holding on
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: to bitterness, you've got to learn to ask God to
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: help you forgive more quickly. You've got to start asking
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: God to help you let it go, because if you don't,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: it just attaches itself to you, and bitterness shows up everywhere.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: It's a funny thing, man, because I was thinking, I said, Man,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I'm not really a bitter person. This ain't for me.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Oh man. As I listened he was talking about because
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: bitterness shows up everywhere. You Ever been angry because a
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: deal didn't go down. You Ever been angry or got
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: upset about a contract and it kind of bugged you
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: for a while. You ever been you ever see a
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: coworker and they just kind of rubbed you the wrong way?
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: You know, maybe they fronted you in front of others.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: You gotta remember something about a bitterness, man, Bitterness is
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: it's a root r oot. Bitterness is a root. You
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: can't see roots because roots are underground, but roots anchor
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: the tree and the bush and and and and and
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: and the roots are under the ground. And bitter roots
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: make bitter fruit. If if a tree has bitter roots,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: it's gonna produce bitter fruit. So what he was saying
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: the whole time yesterday, but don't let mishaps and grudges
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: take root. Don't allow these stuffs to take root, because
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: you won't. You won't even be able to see it
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: and just be underground gathering strength and holding you down.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: And the roots, the root feeds a tree. The root
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: feeds the bush. And if you got bad roots down there,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: bitter roots don't free. Don't feed the tree good nutrients.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Bitter roots destroy. So when you're starting to feel some
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: type of resentment, you're holding a grudge. Maybe he left you.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Maybe you got they told you they loved you and
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: it turned out they didn't. Maybe you got stuck with
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: the baby. Maybe your kids just weren't act right. Maybe
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: you just can't get past what your sibling did to
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: you a long time ago. Maybe your mama ain't been
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: a good mother to you. Maybe your father walked out.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: Maybe you just can't seem to get a break, so
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: you become bitter. You gotta ask God to help you
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: let that God. Man, you gotta ask God for some help. Man.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: You got to ask God to help remove the resentment.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Help remove the hatred, Help get rid of the jealousy.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Help you start feeling like, oh, so what they treated
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: you unfair? You gotta get rid of that man. You
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: can't keep holding on to the wrong things. You're contaminating
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: your roots, and your roots is contaminating your tree. When
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: you hang on to that jealousy of resentment to another person,
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: You're not hurting that other person, You're hurting your tree.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: Your roots is feeding you the wrong types of nutrients. See,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: the problem with bitterness is it takes you away from God,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: who who God created you to be. God created all
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: of us in his image, all of us. He created
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: us for greatness. He created us to be dreamers. He
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: created us to be social people who help others, who
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: helped them less fortunate, created us to be powerful. God
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: made us to be joyous, to be creative, to be strong.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: That's who you were born to be. But when you
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: get become bitter, you start renaming yourself. So now you're
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: not this strong, courageous, powerful, joyous, creative person anymore now
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: because you this. I'm broken. They broke my heart. I
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: can't get over it. I lost my mama. I'll never
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: be the same. This man left me. All men are dogs.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I'm bitter. I'm lost. Nah, man, that's not your name.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: You got to reclaim the name. You were created in
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: God's image. Now, don't let bitterness. Don't let your break up,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: your divorce, your bad childhood, your lost business, your bad parents.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Don't let none of them rob you of your destiny.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Get rid of the bitterness is spoiling your roots and
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: is spoiling the fruit from the tree. Those are my
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: closer remarks. That's what I learned. I just wanted to share.
