- 1:41Speaker 3: To turn the mouth turn, You probably got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 3: the mouth.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Water the mony.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Come out, you think that I sure will? Good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 6: You're listening to the voice I said, come on now,
- 2:07Speaker 6: dig me to one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 6: radio show. Okay, Now, I'm gonna be really honest with
- 2:15Speaker 6: you this morning. I really don't know what to say.
- 2:20Speaker 6: I really don't. I was sitting here and I was thinking,
- 2:27Speaker 6: what do I say today? I do know that I
- 2:32Speaker 6: want to be encouraging, uplifting and inspirational in some way
- 2:38Speaker 6: to affect somebody today. Oftentimes, these conversations that I have
- 2:44Speaker 6: in the mornings, they're designed with me because I needed myself, y'all,
- 2:51Speaker 6: to be honest with you.
- 2:52Speaker 5: I mean, you know.
- 2:55Speaker 6: Who makes the comedian laugh? I used to say all
- 2:59Speaker 6: the time, And even though what we talk about in
- 3:02Speaker 6: the morning is not a laughing matter, it kind of
- 3:05Speaker 6: like is where I am today? You know, I need
- 3:10Speaker 6: motivation in my life sometimes myself. I think when I
- 3:14Speaker 6: get in moments like this, I often resort back to
- 3:20Speaker 6: the same thing over and over and over. And when
- 3:25Speaker 6: I find myself in certain predicaments, I can always fall
- 3:31Speaker 6: back on the same thing over and over. So while
- 3:34Speaker 6: I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to say
- 3:37Speaker 6: to you, the one thing that I did do this
- 3:41Speaker 6: morning that I find to be very consistent in me
- 3:45Speaker 6: is that I find myself grateful. I'm ever grateful for
- 3:51Speaker 6: the things that God has done for me. I may
- 3:54Speaker 6: not always know what to say, but I know how
- 3:57Speaker 6: to say thank you.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I do.
- 4:01Speaker 6: I know how to remember and reflect back on where
- 4:04Speaker 6: I come from.
- 4:06Speaker 5: I know how to.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Realize where all my blessings come from. I'm very very
- 4:14Speaker 6: conscious of my journey that I've been on, the one
- 4:19Speaker 6: that was from then until now, that journey right there
- 4:24Speaker 6: is it's been.
- 4:26Speaker 5: It's been. It's been.
- 4:28Speaker 6: Uh it's been difficult, man, it really really has. I
- 4:31Speaker 6: ain't gonna lie to you.
- 4:34Speaker 7: Me.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Becoming successful was very difficult.
- 4:40Speaker 6: But as hard as this is to say, I really
- 4:44Speaker 6: really mean this. I wouldn't change nothing about the trip
- 4:50Speaker 6: I've been on. Number One, because I can't change anything
- 4:57Speaker 6: about it. So I never lived my life and regret.
- 5:01Speaker 6: But the main thing is was I discovered along the
- 5:05Speaker 6: way now, not doing the process when you're going through
- 5:10Speaker 6: rough moments that you can't hardly see the good in
- 5:13Speaker 6: it at the time. It's just rough for you and
- 5:16Speaker 6: it seems unexplainable, and oftentimes I thought it was unfair.
- 5:21Speaker 6: But as I am now, I needed every single thing
- 5:25Speaker 6: that happened to me, that happened to me to happen
- 5:30Speaker 6: to me. I hope that makes sense to you. I
- 5:36Speaker 6: needed everything to happen in the exact order and the
- 5:40Speaker 6: exact way that it happened in order for me to
- 5:44Speaker 6: be the person that I've become.
- 5:48Speaker 5: And that right there, man, is just very comforting to me.
- 5:54Speaker 6: Mister Jakes told me one time, he said, the closer
- 5:57Speaker 6: you get to God, the more you all become, the
- 6:02Speaker 6: more He will reveal to you the how it comes
- 6:08Speaker 6: and what falls of a lot of things that's happened
- 6:10Speaker 6: to you. Because a lot of times what troubles us
- 6:13Speaker 6: is we just can't understand why we lost that love
- 6:16Speaker 6: on back then. We just can't understand why we didn't
- 6:21Speaker 6: get what we wanted back then. We just don't understand
- 6:25Speaker 6: how come our plan didn't work out and we had
- 6:28Speaker 6: to fail so miserably. Back then, we don't understand the
- 6:32Speaker 6: answers to these things. Well, the closer I've gotten to God,
- 6:36Speaker 6: the more those explanations have become crystal clear to me.
- 6:41Speaker 6: And See, the one thing that I came to the
- 6:43Speaker 6: realization everybody is that the things that was happening to me,
- 6:47Speaker 6: they weren't really all bad. They really wasn't that they
- 6:51Speaker 6: didn't taste good. When it was happening, I didn't enjoy
- 6:55Speaker 6: what I was going through. But as I look back
- 6:57Speaker 6: on them and reflect now, it wasn't all bad. Some
- 7:00Speaker 6: of those things were so necessary for me to get
- 7:02Speaker 6: the information because see, I don't know about you, but
- 7:05Speaker 6: I'm kind of hard headed and stubborn. I said, I
- 7:08Speaker 6: don't know about you, but I'm kind of hard headed
- 7:11Speaker 6: and stubborn. I kind of like to think that I
- 7:15Speaker 6: know something about some things every now and then, and
- 7:20Speaker 6: the things I am convinced about. I don't really really
- 7:24Speaker 6: care for people trying to talk me off mine. So
- 7:27Speaker 6: I can be stubborn and hard headed. Sometimes God knows
- 7:31Speaker 6: that about me, So I think to get some of
- 7:34Speaker 6: the messages crystal clear through to me that I needed
- 7:36Speaker 6: to learn. That was this process I had to go through.
- 7:39Speaker 6: That process was my journey, It was my trip. It
- 7:44Speaker 6: was my woe, my pain. See, everybody got them different,
- 7:47Speaker 6: It don't matter what it is. Everybody got a woe,
- 7:50Speaker 6: everybody got a pain, everybody got a trial, everybody got
- 7:53Speaker 6: some tribulations, everybody got some challenge. I don't care who
- 7:57Speaker 6: you are due quit looking at me thinking that I
- 7:59Speaker 6: got it going on so tough man. But if Steve, yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 6: it's easy for you to say that, but you ain't here.
- 8:05Speaker 5: You don't know where.
- 8:06Speaker 6: Ben, if you would stop hanging yourself up on your past,
- 8:11Speaker 6: worrying about your woes and your troubles and the situation
- 8:15Speaker 6: you in, and start praying and start asking God to
- 8:19Speaker 6: get you through it.
- 8:20Speaker 5: See a lot of times you messed it.
- 8:22Speaker 6: You messed a message up yourself because when you're going
- 8:25Speaker 6: through some stuff, you ask God to remove it and
- 8:28Speaker 6: take it away.
- 8:28Speaker 5: That ain't the lesson. You got to learn your lesson
- 8:31Speaker 5: sometimes it's.
- 8:33Speaker 6: Got to be how to be strong, how to see
- 8:36Speaker 6: it through, how to bear under it, how to carry
- 8:41Speaker 6: that weight long distances for long periods of time. That's
- 8:45Speaker 6: how you get strong The lesson is to make you stronger.
- 8:49Speaker 5: But to make you stronger, you got to carry the weight.
- 8:51Speaker 5: You can't get.
- 8:52Speaker 6: Stronger you don't go to gym or you're gonna do
- 8:54Speaker 6: something at your house to lift your own body weight.
- 8:57Speaker 5: See, a lot of people can't even do push ups.
- 9:02Speaker 6: They can't get down, and in the course of a day,
- 9:05Speaker 6: give you a hundred push ups because they ain't They
- 9:08Speaker 6: ain't never tried it. They boy it. They get to
- 9:11Speaker 6: twenty and they're shake it so bad they stop. That's
- 9:14Speaker 6: too much for me. Well, let me tell you something.
- 9:16Speaker 6: So I learned to quit praying to take stuff away.
- 9:19Speaker 6: My prayer became to give me the strength to handle it.
- 9:21Speaker 6: People oftentimes ask me, how do you do all that
- 9:24Speaker 6: you do in the course of the day.
- 9:26Speaker 5: I don't really know. I just know I can because
- 9:32Speaker 5: I know God don't put more on you than you
- 9:34Speaker 5: can bath. So when you ask me how you do
- 9:37Speaker 5: all of what you do in the course of the day.
- 9:39Speaker 6: I got God. God is good. He'll get you through
- 9:43Speaker 6: whatever it is you're going through. So when you trip
- 9:45Speaker 6: it and you don't know what to say, reflect and
- 9:50Speaker 6: be grateful for all you reflect on, think about God's
- 9:54Speaker 6: goodness and watch what he do for you.
- 9:56Speaker 5: That's the cold part.
- 9:57Speaker 8: Okay, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:05Speaker 6: We here, ah man again another blessed day. Look at
- 10:09Speaker 6: it right here. Just pay attention to it, y'all. Don't
- 10:13Speaker 6: take it for granted. Pay attention to it. Look at
- 10:15Speaker 6: it closely. Look what God has done again, man, At
- 10:20Speaker 6: one point in time, man, I mean seriously, common sense
- 10:23Speaker 6: has got the kick in that we have nothing to
- 10:25Speaker 6: do with the rising of the sun or the setting
- 10:27Speaker 6: of it. We have no control over the wind, of
- 10:30Speaker 6: the direction of the wind. We have no control over
- 10:33Speaker 6: time or time we got. We don't place the stars nowhere.
- 10:37Speaker 6: We can't touch the star.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Man. At one point in time.
- 10:41Speaker 6: We're gonna have to give God some credit here, amen, Now,
- 10:48Speaker 6: since were doing it, let's get it on. Arlon Strawberry

- 17:01Speaker 7: Say dude, I got to go okay, okay, okay, but
- 17:03Speaker 7: can you give me a good reference on it? That's
- 17:05Speaker 7: all I'm trying to get out. Man. The references don't
- 17:09Speaker 7: die number ever again. And when I talked to Monica,
- 17:13Speaker 7: me and her. But hey, you ain't gonna have to

- 22:20Speaker 10: girlfriend is allowed to sleep over at our house in
- 22:24Speaker 10: his room. It's his father's rules, and I told him
- 22:27Speaker 10: it sets a bad example for the younger boys.
- 22:30Speaker 8: He disagrees. How can he be okay with this?
- 22:33Speaker 5: Hm?
- 22:34Speaker 6: He does set a bad example. I don't think it's
- 22:36Speaker 6: smart at all, because you know, look, dad, oh, we
- 22:41Speaker 6: all know what our sons are doing. But it's a spread.
- 22:44Speaker 6: You got to have boundaries for a respect level. You
- 22:48Speaker 6: can't come in here in your mama's house with this
- 22:52Speaker 6: girl in front of these kids. No, man, you can't

- 23:13Speaker 6: and what's the benefit of allowing it? Just show me
- 23:17Speaker 6: the upside to allow it, because all it is is downside.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Now when that little girl come up pregnant.

- 23:35Speaker 6: respect and restraint. You know, I've tried talking to my
- 23:40Speaker 6: sons about this over and over. Do not go somewhere

- 24:19Speaker 6: of that.
- 24:19Speaker 5: It ain't right.
- 24:20Speaker 6: And I think we got to teach our sons that,
- 24:22Speaker 6: and I think condoning this behavior is not the right way.
- 24:26Speaker 6: You have to teach your sons and make them respect women.
- 24:31Speaker 6: And this girl nineteen, you're in a room with her
- 24:34Speaker 6: in front of your sons and your wife. Man, get
- 24:36Speaker 6: out of here.

- 30:10Speaker 12: This is your boy, Chris Bran, your boy, Big Snoop Dog.
- 30:13Speaker 5: This is your boy, said the entertainer.
- 30:19Speaker 8: This is your line to Adam bless up.
- 30:21Speaker 14: It's DJ Cavin and you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:25Speaker 8: There's morning shows and it's the greatest Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:29Speaker 5: Another one.
- 30:30Speaker 10: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:37Speaker 8: All right, Steve, you said you had a question for us.
- 30:40Speaker 6: Okay, guys, now, this is a real question, and I
- 30:43Speaker 6: want you all to answer the question seriously.
- 30:46Speaker 9: Tommy, I'm gonna answer you.
- 30:50Speaker 5: I'm gonna ask you.
- 30:52Speaker 6: I want a real answer. This is non jokes. I
- 30:55Speaker 6: have a lot of people listening. Let's play a little
- 30:58Speaker 6: game here. This is a very very motivational moment right here.
- 31:03Speaker 6: The Bible is true, right, and we all are believers
- 31:05Speaker 6: in that, so we all know clearly everybody on this
- 31:08Speaker 6: show understands this.
- 31:09Speaker 5: So here's here's what I'm thinking.
- 31:12Speaker 6: And vision boards really do work, and dream boards really
- 31:17Speaker 6: do work because it's it's a scripture. Rebeka two and
- 31:21Speaker 6: two says, write the vision and make it plain so
- 31:24Speaker 6: that he who reads it will run to it. And
- 31:26Speaker 6: even though it terry, wait for it, for surely it
- 31:29Speaker 6: will come at an appointed time. All right, I'm gonna
- 31:32Speaker 6: give each one of you a different amount of money,
- 31:37Speaker 6: and I want you to tell me seriously what you
- 31:40Speaker 6: would do with that amount of money.
- 31:44Speaker 5: Junior, Okay, two.
- 31:47Speaker 6: Million dollars cash right now?
- 31:50Speaker 5: What would you do?
- 31:51Speaker 9: I will set my nephew up, you know, his conditions
- 31:55Speaker 9: and stuff like that for his life, and he's not
- 31:58Speaker 9: as fast as other children is learning.
- 32:00Speaker 1: M hmm.
- 32:01Speaker 5: Okay, So how much would you donate to that? Out
- 32:04Speaker 5: of two million collar for rail? Yes, five million dollars?
- 32:09Speaker 5: What do you do?
- 32:11Speaker 1: I would set my daughter up. I would donate some
- 32:14Speaker 1: money to my church. I off my church and charity
- 32:18Speaker 1: and the rest.
- 32:19Speaker 5: How much how much you're donating to the church.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I probably would donate maybe a quarter of a million
- 32:24Speaker 1: dollars to my church and another quarter of a million
- 32:27Speaker 1: dollars to breast cancer and awareness and the rest.
- 32:31Speaker 5: I'm a ball I mean.
- 32:34Speaker 6: Okay, okay, okay, what's the ball portioned at you, but
- 32:38Speaker 6: that you're gonna do.
- 32:39Speaker 5: Okay, let me say track.
- 32:41Speaker 13: I said, find from the church.
- 32:43Speaker 8: Carry that one.
- 32:44Speaker 5: That leads me four million already.
- 32:46Speaker 13: You just spend a million, So I have four million left.
- 32:49Speaker 6: Yeah, pay off all that's done. Your bills is paid
- 32:53Speaker 6: off in a million.
- 32:54Speaker 13: Okay, so I have four million dollars.
- 32:56Speaker 6: Yeah, you have four million left. We are now on
- 33:00Speaker 6: over to Shirley.
- 33:04Speaker 8: Yes, you have.
- 33:07Speaker 6: Fifteen million dollars.
- 33:11Speaker 5: What do you do? Go now?
- 33:13Speaker 10: Oh my god, Okay, okay, I am all right. I
- 33:19Speaker 10: gotta tithe. I have to absolutely tie. I have to
- 33:23Speaker 10: tell you I got it. Yeah, I have to tithe.
- 33:28Speaker 10: I have to I have to put God first.
- 33:31Speaker 5: I have to one church.
- 33:34Speaker 10: Well you're yeah, However, I'm going to tithe either to
- 33:39Speaker 10: my one church.
- 33:40Speaker 8: I have cousins that have churches. I'll do that. Yeah,
- 33:43Speaker 8: I don't have a problem with that at all.
- 33:45Speaker 10: I will tie because I get to keep ninety percent.
- 33:48Speaker 10: I'm cool with it.
- 33:50Speaker 8: I'm gonna buy. I'm gonna buy some real estate.
- 33:52Speaker 10: I gotta buy some real estate, some homes, some property,
- 33:56Speaker 10: some rental properties.
- 33:57Speaker 8: Gotta do that.
- 33:59Speaker 5: You got fifteen minus how much you spend.
- 34:02Speaker 8: On what real estate.
- 34:03Speaker 10: Yeah, oh okay, probably probably about five million somewhere along
- 34:09Speaker 10: in there, depending on where I buy it. Yeah, okay,
- 34:12Speaker 10: I'm gonna invest some I'm gonna I'm definitely gonna invest.
- 34:16Speaker 5: What do you mean you just bought the real estate priber,
- 34:19Speaker 5: What are you talking about that?
- 34:19Speaker 10: Yeah, I'm gonna invest some more, probably in the stock
- 34:21Speaker 10: stock market with something. I gotta take some risks. I'm
- 34:24Speaker 10: going to invest in the stock market, and I'm gonna
- 34:28Speaker 10: buy some shoes. Oh wait, wait, I do have a child.
- 34:32Speaker 10: Wait I thought she just called me.
- 34:37Speaker 8: Five minutes ago. I asked me for two hundred dollars.
- 34:39Speaker 8: Oh yeah, I'll take care of her too, to take
- 34:42Speaker 8: care of my family. Of course, I'll take care of
- 34:44Speaker 8: my family.

- 34:47Speaker 10: Well, I'm gonna leave a trust. I have eight and
- 34:49Speaker 10: a half million dollars left.
- 34:51Speaker 13: I'll leave her.
- 34:53Speaker 10: Three million. Yeah, I'll leave her about three million dollars.
- 34:59Speaker 6: Tommy, yes, sir, you have fifty million dollars.

- 36:39Speaker 5: Man.
- 36:42Speaker 11: By the time I get fifty million, that's these people.
- 36:45Speaker 6: That's what they are. This is how you get things
- 36:50Speaker 6: in life. You have to dream. You have to set
- 36:52Speaker 6: really high goals. My father always told me, said, aim
- 36:56Speaker 6: for the moon. In case you missed, you'll still be
- 36:59Speaker 6: a more stars. He used to say that to me
- 37:02Speaker 6: all the time. So I learned how to aim extremely high. Okay,

- 38:24Speaker 8: I'm not slash lapsing people run up last when peace.
- 38:31Speaker 6: I've got to get the Nobel Peace Prizes to mean
- 38:33Speaker 6: more to me. Yeah, person, I am, because you know
- 38:39Speaker 6: it's it's it's an award. It's a reward versus an award.
- 38:51Speaker 6: It's a reward for hard work. Oscars is an award.
- 38:56Speaker 8: Okay, oh wow, okay.
- 38:58Speaker 6: You know you get a reward for you accomplish something,
- 39:02Speaker 6: you received benefit of something you've done, and award they
- 39:05Speaker 6: just give you something. It's usually a group of people
- 39:08Speaker 6: or something like that. It ain't got to be unanimous
- 39:11Speaker 6: and all like that. So I'm about the Noble Peace Prize.
- 39:15Speaker 5: Okay, all right?
- 39:17Speaker 10: Would you rather starve for a week, starve for a week,
- 39:22Speaker 10: or go to jail for a day.
- 39:26Speaker 6: I'm going to jail, going to jail, really, hell yeah,
- 39:30Speaker 6: before they feed you in there, they see something they
- 39:35Speaker 6: ain't gonna like it. So we're not gonna say it'll
- 39:37Speaker 6: be a star for a week. Man, you know the shake.
- 39:39Speaker 6: You're gonna be and go down here and do this
- 39:40Speaker 6: jail time jokes, make a couple of big friends and stuff.
- 39:45Speaker 6: I know, I talk to hoods man. I'll be in there, motivating, encouraging, having.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Dog.
- 39:53Speaker 6: I ain't even gonna be sleep I'm gonna stay up
- 39:55Speaker 6: the whole time. Back to the wall. It's just today.
- 40:00Speaker 6: I'm not gonna I'm going.
- 40:02Speaker 5: To jail, though, Steve Harvey, what up y'all?
- 40:06Speaker 8: It's going about a week in jail.
- 40:09Speaker 5: A week in jail, or a week of starving. When
- 40:11Speaker 5: you say starving, what do you.
- 40:12Speaker 8: Mean start no food, no food, no food?
- 40:16Speaker 6: No oh no, no, no, no, I'm going to jail.
- 40:20Speaker 6: You ain't gonna take you ain't gonna be able to
- 40:21Speaker 6: do that. Okay, Yeah, at least I can accomplish something
- 40:24Speaker 6: in jail. I'm gonna be I'm gonna be stealing. I
- 40:27Speaker 6: had to be so quiet for that week of starving
- 40:30Speaker 6: laying in the hospital your desk.
- 40:37Speaker 13: All right, all right, moving on?
- 40:39Speaker 10: Would you rather use sandpaper as toilet paper or use
- 40:45Speaker 10: vinegar as I dropped.
- 40:47Speaker 6: I'm gonna use that sandpaper for toilet paper. I'm just
- 40:50Speaker 6: gonna flip that other side over. You ain't putting that
- 40:52Speaker 6: vinegar in my eyes. That ain't what you shouldn't do.
- 40:54Speaker 6: I can't go blind. Yeah, you can rate that sadpaper across.
- 41:02Speaker 5: In my eye.
- 41:03Speaker 6: I can deal with that right there. I've cut my
- 41:05Speaker 6: butt before. I've done it more than once. Sherry, all right,
- 41:13Speaker 6: that it put this vinegar in my eye.
- 41:17Speaker 10: Today's version of what you rather? You're listening hardy Morning show. Well,
- 41:26Speaker 10: you've heard it before, and it's true. You are your
- 41:29Speaker 10: own worst enemy. The world is hard enough on you,
- 41:33Speaker 10: but the stories you tell yourself inside your head can
- 41:36Speaker 10: make it a lot harder to deal with the stress
- 41:38Speaker 10: life throws at you. So steve here a few lies.
- 41:41Speaker 10: We believe in moments of stress that take away our
- 41:44Speaker 10: joy and happiness.
- 41:46Speaker 8: What can we do today?
- 41:47Speaker 10: I should say, to stop getting in the way of
- 41:49Speaker 10: our own happiness, like, for instance, saying things like we
- 41:53Speaker 10: don't deserve it, like when something good happens. You know,
- 41:58Speaker 10: we could be a bigger jerk to ourselves, and we
- 42:00Speaker 10: would ever be to our best.
- 42:02Speaker 8: Friend or to our child.
- 42:04Speaker 10: If you have unrealistic expectations or keep judging yourself too harshly,
- 42:08Speaker 10: stop and enjoy the good things when they come along.
- 42:11Speaker 8: You do deserve it. In other words, so don't tell
- 42:13Speaker 8: yourself the opposite.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Well, I've said that before. I don't deserve it in
- 42:17Speaker 5: front of people. As soon as I walk away, whatever
- 42:19Speaker 5: they gave me, I put it in my pocket. I'll
- 42:21Speaker 5: go woldy, he engaged. Right after I see.
- 42:29Speaker 13: What did Snoop say.
- 42:30Speaker 10: When he got the he got the star on Hollywood
- 42:34Speaker 10: Walk of Fame. He said, I'd like to thank God,
- 42:36Speaker 10: I'd like to thank my family and me.
- 42:38Speaker 8: I'd like to thank me. Okay, yeah, same thing, all right.
- 42:44Speaker 10: Yeah, we tell ourselves we shouldn't enjoy it because it
- 42:47Speaker 10: won't last. I mean, good things come along, many don't
- 42:51Speaker 10: last forever. But instead of using that as a reason
- 42:54Speaker 10: to not to enjoy the good things when they come,
- 42:57Speaker 10: they should make you more focused on enjoying it instead
- 43:00Speaker 10: of work hard.
- 43:02Speaker 6: If you work hard, I mean, nothing lasts forever. But
- 43:06Speaker 6: there's no need of you regretting the end, and the
- 43:08Speaker 6: end ain't here.
- 43:10Speaker 10: Yeah, joy, enjoy the moment, enjoy the journey. Yeah yeah,
- 43:16Speaker 10: Or these are some of the things you tell yourself.
- 43:18Speaker 10: We can't have joy until unreasonable unreasonable expectations keep popping up,
- 43:25Speaker 10: don't they. So high achievers will tell you to delay
- 43:28Speaker 10: your gratification until.
- 43:30Speaker 8: You've reached all of your goals. Now is that realistic?
- 43:34Speaker 8: We just said that the journey. Yeah, that's not true.
- 43:38Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 43:39Speaker 6: And that's what keeps most people unhappy and behind the
- 43:42Speaker 6: eight ball. I've said it a million times. If your
- 43:45Speaker 6: goal is to make a million dollars, but you've been
- 43:49Speaker 6: making twenty five thousand dollars a year, and then you
- 43:53Speaker 6: look up and you're making one hundred thousand dollars a year,
- 43:55Speaker 6: but you still mad because you ain't a millionaire. Yet
- 43:59Speaker 6: he was making twenty five thousand a year. You not
- 44:01Speaker 6: make a hundred, You don't see the joy in that.
- 44:04Speaker 6: Then a little bit later on, you make a quarter
- 44:06Speaker 6: of a million dollars a year. Now you steal mad.
- 44:08Speaker 6: I'm working all this hard, I steal ain't a millionaire?
- 44:11Speaker 6: You got a quarter million dollars. You don't see that
- 44:15Speaker 6: that lack of gratitude keeps you forever disgruntled and unhappy.
- 44:21Speaker 8: That's right, be grateful. What about this one?
- 44:25Speaker 10: Our joy depends on someone else or something else.
- 44:31Speaker 8: You know, a lot of.
- 44:32Speaker 10: People think that they need someone else to make them
- 44:34Speaker 10: happy instead of being happy within themselves.
- 44:37Speaker 8: A lot of people believe that.
- 44:39Speaker 6: Some people put that. Bishop Jakes told me something one time.
- 44:43Speaker 6: He said, it's not your job to make another person happy,
- 44:46Speaker 6: nor should you make it. Don't make that your job,
- 44:50Speaker 6: because I'm telling you that's the job you cannot win
- 44:53Speaker 6: because if they ain't happy with themselves, I don't give it.
- 44:56Speaker 8: What you do right now.
- 44:58Speaker 6: If people need things to make them have joy, that's
- 45:02Speaker 6: not joy, that's fun. Yeah, there's a difference between joy
- 45:09Speaker 6: and fun.
- 45:10Speaker 8: There is a difference, absolutely right. And what is the difference?
- 45:14Speaker 8: Go ahead, since you brought it up.
- 45:16Speaker 6: Well, the difference is some of joy is something that
- 45:18Speaker 6: abides and resides within you. It's a comfortability factor and
- 45:22Speaker 6: a piece that you are perfectly fine with who you
- 45:25Speaker 6: are and right where you are, and you find contentment
- 45:29Speaker 6: in it and it gives you a resounding piece of joy.
- 45:32Speaker 6: A relationship with God gives you joy. Fun is manufactured.
- 45:38Speaker 6: You have to go somewhere and be doing something to
- 45:42Speaker 6: interject this feeling of fun in you. But if you
- 45:45Speaker 6: keep having fun too long, fun is an acronym. Everybody
- 45:49Speaker 6: that has fun too long. It's an acronym. Fun actually
- 45:53Speaker 6: stands for it's effed up now?
- 46:00Speaker 7: All right?
- 46:01Speaker 10: Coming up next, it is a nephew with today's prank
- 46:05Speaker 10: phone call. Right after this, Hey, what's up everybody? This
- 46:08Speaker 10: is your girl Candy.
- 46:10Speaker 5: This is Anthony Anderson, this is Janet. And you can't
- 46:13Speaker 5: get no sleep when you're listening to Steve Carlos Shirley
- 46:16Speaker 5: and Nephew Tommy on the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:19Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 46:27Speaker 10: at about four minutes after the hour, it's the Strawberry
- 46:30Speaker 10: Letter for today, and the subject is it is not
- 46:32Speaker 10: a big deal at all.
- 46:35Speaker 8: It's not a big deal at all.
- 46:37Speaker 10: Okay, we'll get into that in just a few because
- 46:40Speaker 10: right now it is time for the nephew and today's
- 46:43Speaker 10: prank phone call.

- 57:08Speaker 8: Thank you, nephew.
- 57:08Speaker 11: Subject.
- 57:09Speaker 8: It's not a big deal.
- 57:10Speaker 10: At all, Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been married for eight years,
- 57:14Speaker 10: and I've been faking it for ten years. We met
- 57:17Speaker 10: when I was twenty two years old, and I had
- 57:19Speaker 10: nothing to compare the intimacy to, so it was fine.
- 57:23Speaker 10: He was my first and only man for ten long years.
- 57:27Speaker 10: Then a month ago, my good friend had a bachelorette
- 57:31Speaker 10: party and she had mail strippers there. The strippers were
- 57:35Speaker 10: scrawny and couldn't dance, so we laughed at them. Then
- 57:38Speaker 10: a big black stripper showed up and said he got lost.
- 57:43Speaker 10: He went to the back and got oiled up, and
- 57:45Speaker 10: lordy Lottie, when he came back in his thong, he
- 57:48Speaker 10: shut the whole party down. I couldn't stop staring. He
- 57:53Speaker 10: noticed me, and he gave me a lot of attention.
- 57:56Speaker 10: He whispered to me to relax, because my whole body
- 57:59Speaker 10: was tense up. The other six ladies. Darn near ripped
- 58:02Speaker 10: his underwear off, and he got offended and said he
- 58:05Speaker 10: was leaving. When he went to the back to put
- 58:08Speaker 10: his clothes on, I had to use the bathroom. He
- 58:11Speaker 10: saw me going into the bathroom and he asked if
- 58:13Speaker 10: he could wash his face before I used it. I
- 58:17Speaker 10: allowed him to use the bathroom first, since he was
- 58:21Speaker 10: so mad that the ladies attacked him. He teased me
- 58:24Speaker 10: about being very uptight and asked He asked if he
- 58:28Speaker 10: could help me unwind. I didn't know it would involve
- 58:31Speaker 10: his tongue and other things. I didn't stop him or
- 58:35Speaker 10: use common sense. I had the best sexual experience of
- 58:40Speaker 10: my life on the bathroom floor. He asked if we
- 58:42Speaker 10: could keep in touch, and I told him I was married.
- 58:45Speaker 10: He said he could see I was married, but I
- 58:47Speaker 10: could pay him to help me unwind whenever I needed. Here,
- 58:52Speaker 10: I am with my little, average sized husband and I
- 58:55Speaker 10: have the big Stripperman's number in my phone.
- 58:58Speaker 8: How bad would it be if I cheat it just
- 59:01Speaker 8: one more time?
- 59:03Speaker 10: Okay, So you're asking permission or opinions from Steve and
- 59:08Speaker 10: I on what we think about you cheating on your
- 59:10Speaker 10: husband again. You want us to tell you how bad
- 59:13Speaker 10: it would be if you did it just.
- 59:16Speaker 8: One more time. Hmm. I said that aloud, two different ways.
- 59:20Speaker 10: So maybe if you heard it back you would understand
- 59:23Speaker 10: how crazy all this sounds.
- 59:25Speaker 8: And Mary, lady, you know we're not going to tell you. Yes, girl,
- 59:29Speaker 8: go for it, Go for it. One of the problems
- 59:32Speaker 8: with going back for that one more time.
- 59:35Speaker 10: And anyone who has told you who anyone who has
- 59:39Speaker 10: done this gone back for that one more time, knows
- 59:42Speaker 10: that at that moment you get hooked, okay, and you
- 59:47Speaker 10: keep going back, and you keep going back, and every
- 59:50Speaker 10: time is your last time. That's what you always tell yourself. Okay,
- 59:53Speaker 10: one more time, this is it. This is the last time.
- 59:56Speaker 10: But it doesn't stop. It won't just be, you know,
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: one time, your last time. It won't just be that.
- 1:00:03Speaker 10: I'm telling you right now. If you're gonna keep going
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: and keep going and keep going, okay, all I can
- 1:00:11Speaker 10: tell you is that you are married. Please remember that.
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: Even though women are much better at cheating than men,
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: as a woman, I still say, don't gamble with your
- 1:00:21Speaker 10: marriage because you can lose, you can lose everything. Instead
- 1:00:24Speaker 10: of faking it with your husband, why don't you talk
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: to him about what you like and kind of teach
- 1:00:29Speaker 10: him how to please you. You guys were really young
- 1:00:31Speaker 10: when you got married. Instead of taking the easy way
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: out with cheating and paying paying for a stripper to
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: come by and please you. Think about that, Steve.
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: I normally don't do this, Shirley, but I'm gonna have
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: to start my letter with a statement you just made.
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: Sit your husband down and tell him what you like. Yeah, now,
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: well what I like? Well, if you was bigger and
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: dog skin.
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: And I like other things, tongue and some other things,
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: and that's what I like.
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: I don't think she can send her husband down and
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: tell him what she liked because she didn't know she
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: liked it till she left the stripper the bachelor party.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: That's not a good suggestion.
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: So now let's start to let her over. You've been
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: married for eight years. Y'all met when you was twenty two,
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: you thirty at least right now. He was your first
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: and only man for ten years. Then a month ago
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: something happened. You went to a bachelorette party. Some strippers
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: was there. Y'all was laughing at him, scrowny, couldn't dance.
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: Then El Domingo Django showed up.
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: That's name.
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: Django showed up in chains. Jango showed up lost because
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: he ain't got no GPS. Because Jango came to the
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: stripper party on a buckboard.
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: Pulled by a mule. Wow, that's how Django got lost.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: See, you don't know that Jango ain't got no car
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: or nothing. Django field hand. Django came up in there
- 1:02:41Speaker 6: with a burre lap shots on. Jango came up undre.
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: That wasn't all.
- 1:02:48Speaker 6: That was just sweat from out in the fields. Jango
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: was next. When I come back, I will tell you
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: what happened when Jangle came out to bathroom.
- 1:03:03Speaker 10: All right, hang on for part two of Steve's responds,
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's
- 1:03:09Speaker 10: strawberry letter subject is not a big deal at all.
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:17Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:04:09Speaker 1: today at TMCF dot org.
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: All right, come on, Steve latreecap today's Strawberry letter. The
- 1:04:15Speaker 10: subject It's not a big deal at all.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: This girl was twenty two when she met her hub
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: been married for ten years. He's the only man she's
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: ever been with. Then, about a month ago, one of
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: her girls had a bachelor party, So that means she's
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: thirty or thirty two. They've been together, married ten years.
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: Probably met him when she was twenty two, Probably dated
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: for a couple of year. I probably she about thirty
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: two thirty four, went to the bachelor party. Some strippers
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: was there. Scrony couldn't dance. The women was laughing at them.
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: But one of them came in late. He came in
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: late because he was the big, beautiful black dancer. They
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: noticed he looked a little unruly because he had on
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: some burr lap show. The reason he got lost is
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: because he don't have GPS. His name was Django. Django
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: came in on a buckboard pulled by mule. Y'all say
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: he went in the back and got all the that
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: wasn't all that was sweat from the fields. He's a
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: field hand. Jano came out with his thong on and Lord, Lord, Lord,
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: you found out what django meant. Jango is an old
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: African mean, Old African word. Django is an old African word.
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: It means dad go is Django is an old African word.
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: It means dad go. And so they called him Django
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: dad Go. Jango came out there and the women lost.
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: They mind Django shut the party down. Jango was moving
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: and the women told his underwear off. He got upset
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: because he didn't sign up for that. So now Django
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: is upset and he finally gets through. You had to
- 1:06:15Speaker 6: go to the bathroom, and he had to go to
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: the bathroom. And he saw you go down the hall
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: when you was going in there, and he said, he said,
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: do you mind if I washed my face? Face sweat
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: he wanted to get it off because that wasn't all
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: he was using. It was actually corn husker's lotion. He
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: made it hisself.
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: What had the story in the world.
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: I'm building a story, Jangle field hand. He made his
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: own corn husky's lotion. He don't like driving in it,
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: so he wanted to wash it off his face. Okay,
- 1:06:53Speaker 6: So then he let you in the bathroom and he
- 1:06:55Speaker 6: noticed you was uptight. He told you to relax.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: You was tense.
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: He told you that when he was trying to give
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: you that lap dance you didn't want, but he rubbed
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: Jango up against you. And now all of a sudden,
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: you're in that bathroom with Jingo. He said, look, you
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: need to relax. You want me to help you to relax.
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: And you said, uh huh. First you said I'm not
- 1:07:19Speaker 6: up tight. He said, but I could feel the tension
- 1:07:22Speaker 6: in your shoulders. And he put them big hands on
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: your shoulders, the one that had been picking.
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: H Yeah.
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: I didn't say nothing. I just said their hands that
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: had been picking. He hit those his picking hands. They
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: was rough, but they were soft because they knew how
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: to handle it. And next thing he was caught up
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: in it. He was rubbing your shoulders, and all of
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: a sudden, Jango started pressing down on your shoulders. And
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: next thing you know, you was in the floor. Jano
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: bagged up, scootered up against the dough. Now your is
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: in a bent position. It's up against the bathtub. Jango
- 1:08:05Speaker 6: stretched out and you said in your letter right here,
- 1:08:08Speaker 6: I'm not making this up, you said in your letter
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: right here. No, no, I didn't know it would involve
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: his tongue and other things. Said, well, little girl, I
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: don't want to tell you something. It was no other
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: things in there. It was just django.
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: Tongue, okay, And that was all it was.
- 1:08:33Speaker 6: But he was such an expert at it. You thought
- 1:08:36Speaker 6: it was some more things in that. It was just
- 1:08:38Speaker 6: had one thing, little girl. You just had never seen
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: it like that before. And Jangle was in there about it.
- 1:08:47Speaker 6: And then it was the best sexual experience of my life.
- 1:08:50Speaker 6: On the bathroom floor. He asked we could keep in touch.
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: I told him I was married. He said he could
- 1:08:55Speaker 6: see you was married, but you could pay him to
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: help you unwine whenever I needed it. Here I am
- 1:09:01Speaker 6: with my little advertised husband, and I had to beck
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: the big strip of man's number in my phone. How
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: bad would it be if I cheated one more time?
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Girl?
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: Django is like a bag of laised potato chip. Yeah yeah, girl,
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: you ain't gonna be able to need just one. That
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: Jango came up in there with all that field hand experience,
- 1:09:26Speaker 6: with that homemade corn huskers loach.
- 1:09:30Speaker 8: Does that.
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: Jango?
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: Django don't need gas money. Jango need oat money. He
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: gotta feed the mule that brings him from gig to gig. Look, uh,
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: Django is a jigglo and a male escort. You're about
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: to be involved in an old profession called prostitution.
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: Don't do it, little girl, You ain't strong enough.
- 1:10:02Speaker 13: All right?

- 1:11:47Speaker 12: a book at my free time. So I was wondering
- 1:11:50Speaker 12: if you could give me any advice on trying to
- 1:11:52Speaker 12: find a balance between time with her and tasting my
- 1:11:56Speaker 12: host and dreams and working.
- 1:11:59Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: That's the phenomenon most people make.
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: You're twenty six years old, you're young, You're in your
- 1:12:07Speaker 6: most important earning years because at least at twenty six,
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: you set some goals for yourself. You want to make
- 1:12:15Speaker 6: six figures, you want to write a book, whatever. But
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: she complaining about you ain't there. Well, see, that's the
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: problem with being a real man. You can't ever get
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: it one hundred. If you're there, you can't make the
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: money you need. If you make the money that you need,
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: you can't be there. So now you got to get
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: somebody that's a teammate that understands that, yeah, I'm gone,
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: but me being gone provides.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: A lifestyle for us.
- 1:12:43Speaker 6: You know, the stuff, stuff you might enjoy, like, you know,
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: somewhere to stay, you know, stuff like groceries.
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: You know, just ye.
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: You know, maybe you want to go somewhere and not walk,
- 1:12:59Speaker 6: you know it just it's just some things. I'm out
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: here trying to accomplish. But see, and there are teammates
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: who have to get with this program and understand that.
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: Why would you want a man that wasn't trying to
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: be nothing? Then when you get one, you want him
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: to stay home and sit around you. Well, he can't get.
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: It like that.
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: They are not mailing checks to the house. I have
- 1:13:26Speaker 6: asked them. So now your man is in to go
- 1:13:31Speaker 6: get it business, So let him go get it. And
- 1:13:34Speaker 6: if you don't understand that, you really need to check
- 1:13:37Speaker 6: yourself because someth's wrong with you so that you're never
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: gonna get achieved perfect balance until you find the right
- 1:13:49Speaker 6: partner who helps you with that. Because if she gonna
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: complain every time you go out the door, you're gonna
- 1:13:58Speaker 6: have a problem, bro, because when you go out to
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: oh man, oh man, it's hard.
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: Come on you to go, all right if you want
- 1:14:04Speaker 10: to lead Stephen. Message eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve,
- 1:14:07Speaker 10: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:14:14Speaker 10: This came from Steve BARBFM dot com. It's from Arthur
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: in North Carolina. Arthur Wrights hate Steve. I need help
- 1:14:21Speaker 10: with my wife because she doesn't listen to anything. I
- 1:14:24Speaker 10: say to her, I say go right, she goes left.
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: We got married two years ago, and she's fifty seven
- 1:14:29Speaker 10: and I'm sixty. She likes to tell me that she's
- 1:14:32Speaker 10: not the submissive type, and she was doing fine before
- 1:14:36Speaker 10: we got married. I told her, I expect her to
- 1:14:39Speaker 10: be a wife and let me run the house. She
- 1:14:41Speaker 10: acts like she is still single. How do I get
- 1:14:43Speaker 10: some control and get her to settle into the marriage?
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: Yeah, gosh, you must have just gotten married.
- 1:14:49Speaker 6: So you trying to tell me that before y'all got married,
- 1:14:53Speaker 6: everything was cool, and then afterwards you tell her to
- 1:14:56Speaker 6: go left, she goes right. You want to get control
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: live the marriage, and you want her to be submissive,
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: and she then told you that ain't what she doing.
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: How do I get some control in my house? Well?
- 1:15:09Speaker 6: After I don't know what to tell you, but it
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: don't look like you're gonna get that. I don't think
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: you're gonna get that with her.
- 1:15:16Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:15:17Speaker 6: That don't make the marriage not work, I said, but
- 1:15:20Speaker 6: you're gonna have to be a little bit more compromising.
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: I guess, did you really think if you married her
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: you was gonna be the boss? You didn't.
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: You didn't think that, did y'all. You thought the house,
- 1:15:31Speaker 6: you thought that you was in charge of everything.
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: Author. That's author, that's not had as well. You and junior.
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: Let me say no, no, don't put me over there
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: with all that I know.
- 1:15:41Speaker 13: I find out month too.
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: I didn't.
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: Yeah, but see you see you you questioned her. It's
- 1:15:50Speaker 6: kind of like you this, this is this is an
- 1:15:53Speaker 6: old version.
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: Yeah. See see you young and you young fool and
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: here old fool. When you hear the old fool, it
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: kind of makes you go, oh, hell no, I ain't
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: like that. But if you keep on, yeah, you can be.
- 1:16:08Speaker 6: That's where you hear. See right now you're at the
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: early stage and the foolishness. You're not really a fool
- 1:16:15Speaker 6: right now because you're not questioning it and you're learning
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: as you go off and never learned.
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: I can't help y'all.
- 1:16:21Speaker 6: Next question, you can't help. Hell no, I can't help off,
- 1:16:26Speaker 6: all right. This one's from DoD Days in my house off.
- 1:16:29Speaker 6: I ain't running a thing either, so I don't know
- 1:16:31Speaker 6: what to tell your pockets, all right. This one's from
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: Dot in Nevada.
- 1:16:36Speaker 10: Dot says I'm dating a younger man and he can't
- 1:16:39Speaker 10: keep up with my schedule. I would like to see
- 1:16:42Speaker 10: him every night for sex, but he said he has
- 1:16:44Speaker 10: other things that are more pressing that he's got to
- 1:16:48Speaker 10: get done. How can he be too busy to have
- 1:16:51Speaker 10: sex every night?
- 1:16:52Speaker 6: Because he's a younger man and he's working on his
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: grind and hustle. And until he gets his grind and
- 1:16:57Speaker 6: hustle together, he ain't got time for sick every night.
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: This this still young dude, trying to get his paper up,
- 1:17:03Speaker 6: trying to get his career move right. That's why he
- 1:17:06Speaker 6: ain't got time. You thought you was gonna hire a
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: little boy toy, But little boy toy got a plan.
- 1:17:12Speaker 6: I want every night, you don't every night. Let me
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: tell you something. Sometimes women think they more than they are.
- 1:17:20Speaker 5: Hello. Hello, you know you don't want this. Hello, No,
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: not everything. You ain't all that.
- 1:17:30Speaker 6: Sometimes all this is too damn much to her, pulling
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: out all the trunks and stuff under the bed. I
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: ain't asked for all that. I don't want all that tonight.
- 1:17:43Speaker 6: I don't know how to cut that one on. I
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: don't know how that operates. I don't I got that
- 1:17:47Speaker 6: noise in the bedroom.
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: I don't like all that.
- 1:17:51Speaker 13: But she wrote the letter that asked for advice, and you.
- 1:17:56Speaker 6: Well, I don't want them feathers, I don't like, I
- 1:18:00Speaker 6: don't like particular. Yeah, I don't won't do this. Yeah,
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: we're not doing it every night too much. Don't nobody
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: want this every night?
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: You don't want them? So what should she do?
- 1:18:10Speaker 8: Get with someone who does want it every night?
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: Well, see if he's a great guy, let you do
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: get his hustle in his work on. He can't come
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: by there every night, all guy? Okay, Well he doing
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: something you wanted that you want it every night.
- 1:18:26Speaker 5: And he don't.
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: She said, he can't keep up with him.
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: Sometimes you just knew months alert.
- 1:18:31Speaker 11: News alert, every men don't want it every night, ladies,
- 1:18:34Speaker 11: trust me, news alert.
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: We don't not from the same We're going to the break.
- 1:18:46Speaker 8: Coming up in twenty minutes.
- 1:18:48Speaker 10: Twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more of this
- 1:18:50Speaker 10: ignorant show right after this.
- 1:18:52Speaker 5: I hate the men on the shop.
- 1:18:55Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:19:02Speaker 10: here's some news for our daters out there. Don't overshare
- 1:19:05Speaker 10: on the first date.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: Do not do that.
- 1:19:08Speaker 10: First dates are for people to get to know each other,
- 1:19:11Speaker 10: but there is a limit to how much you should share.
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: In fact, sharing too much could decrease your chances of
- 1:19:17Speaker 10: a second date. Why well, this is according to relationship
- 1:19:22Speaker 10: expert doctor Terry orbook, it's because it's too much too
- 1:19:26Speaker 10: soon on a first date. Many daters make the mistake
- 1:19:30Speaker 10: of sharing too much, too much about themselves. Doctor Orbrik
- 1:19:34Speaker 10: says this is too overwhelming for others on the first date. Instead,
- 1:19:39Speaker 10: gradually disclose personal information. On a first date, you want
- 1:19:43Speaker 10: to leave them interested and wanting more. Yes, so what
- 1:19:47Speaker 10: do you think about that?
- 1:19:47Speaker 8: Steve?
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: Stop running your mouth?
- 1:19:51Speaker 8: Why not?
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: On the book about you know, relationships, Act like a lady,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: think like a man.
- 1:19:56Speaker 13: So that's too soon.
- 1:19:57Speaker 5: Sack like a lady, Thank like a man. Yeah it
- 1:20:01Speaker 5: ain't act like a man. Do like I do? Oh
- 1:20:04Speaker 5: oh okay no, because you're a lady.
- 1:20:07Speaker 6: You could protect yourself, what you know, like you know,
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: when I'm eating food, fall out my mouth sometimes because
- 1:20:14Speaker 6: I never learned how to chew my mouth close?
- 1:20:16Speaker 5: Excuse me?
- 1:20:18Speaker 8: You know, second day for you? Let's say that.
- 1:20:23Speaker 13: Too much information?
- 1:20:24Speaker 10: See Steve, Many women have called in or written in
- 1:20:28Speaker 10: and asked you about kids.
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: Should they tell that they have kids?
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: Well, yeah, you gotta say you got kids? Right away.
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: That ain't nothing nobody need to learn later on right?
- 1:20:37Speaker 10: Okay, all right, yeah, that's a good one. All right,
- 1:20:40Speaker 10: coming up, we'll play around it. Would you rather right
- 1:20:42Speaker 10: after this?
- 1:20:43Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:50Speaker 13: An education is a transformation every day.

- 1:22:03Speaker 13: about peace.
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: I'd rather get the Nobel Peace Prize. It would mean
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: more to me.
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: Yeah, person, I am, because you know it's it's a
- 1:22:13Speaker 6: reward versus an award.
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: It's a reward for hard work. Oscars is an award.
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: Oh you know something you get a reward for you
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: accomplish something, you receive benefit of something you've done. And
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: award they just give you something. It's usually a group
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: of people or something like that. It ain't got to
- 1:22:36Speaker 6: be unanimous and all like that. So I'm about the
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: Nobel Peace Prize.
- 1:22:41Speaker 8: Okay, all right? Would you rather starve for a week?
- 1:22:47Speaker 8: Starve for a week or go to jail for a day.

- 1:23:27Speaker 8: It's going about a week in jail.
- 1:23:30Speaker 5: A week in jail, or a week of starving. When
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: you say starving, what do.
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: You mean start?

- 1:23:58Speaker 5: Right, moving on.
- 1:23:59Speaker 10: Would you rather use sandpaper as toilet paper or use vinegar?
- 1:24:06Speaker 6: As I dropped, I'm gonna use that sandpaper for toilet paper.
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: I'm just gonna flip that other side over. You ain't
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: putting that vinegar in my eyes. That ain't what you

- 1:26:34Speaker 10: on you.
- 1:26:36Speaker 6: Uh you know, I think I want to share this
- 1:26:41Speaker 6: with you something that I was thinking and dealing with recently,
- 1:26:46Speaker 6: and it has to do with gratitude.
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: I just realized something.
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: I went through a period of time where I was
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: asking God for so many things. And I know people
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: out there that listening to me going with with you
- 1:26:59Speaker 6: ought to be great for what you got. Well, see,
- 1:27:02Speaker 6: I'm human now and I'm just having a human moment
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: with you, to share with you what was actually going on.
- 1:27:08Speaker 6: I had gone through a period and maybe some people
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: can relate to this. I was just had so many requests,
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: so many things I wanted to see happened, so many
- 1:27:17Speaker 6: things I wanted to see differently to start working, so
- 1:27:21Speaker 6: many plans I had made, so many goals I had
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: set that I was just constantly in search of the
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: answer to those prayers, and I wanted God to pick
- 1:27:33Speaker 6: up the pace. I wanted him to speed up this
- 1:27:36Speaker 6: prairie request because this request has been going on for
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: quite some time, and I'm actually I've grown weary of waiting.
- 1:27:45Speaker 6: But a funny thing happened in my quest a lot
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: of requests I was asking. He started letting some things
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: happen to me that would force me to look at
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: some things differently. So like, for example, if I was
- 1:28:03Speaker 6: asking God to help me with my health, I want
- 1:28:05Speaker 6: to lean out. Then what he did was he actually
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: allowed some things that happened that would cause me to
- 1:28:12Speaker 6: have to focus on my health, that would bring about
- 1:28:16Speaker 6: the necessary things that would help me to lean out.
- 1:28:20Speaker 6: But He had to take me through the fire. Everything
- 1:28:24Speaker 6: you want is on the other side of comfortable. So
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: you know, I was comfortably eating whatever I wanted to do.
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: I was comfortably having ice cream, comfortably eating dessert, comfortably
- 1:28:33Speaker 6: eating pasta, bread, butter, sugar, ice tea, whatever I wanted
- 1:28:38Speaker 6: to do. But what I wanted to start letting in
- 1:28:42Speaker 6: better shape was on the other side of that. I
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: had to get out my comfort zone. So I had
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: a couple of health issues and it caused me to
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: come home and start focusing on it. But it also
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: made me come home and realize that, on top of
- 1:28:56Speaker 6: all the stuff I was asking God for, had you
- 1:29:01Speaker 6: forgot what He's done for you? Have you forgot to
- 1:29:05Speaker 6: constantly keep the praise of gratitude on your lips for
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: what He's done, because don't get so wrapped up and
- 1:29:13Speaker 6: caught up and you forget the what you got.
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: And that's what it happened to me.
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: I was so deliberately praying because I think I was
- 1:29:21Speaker 6: being faithful right by pray without ceasing. So I thought
- 1:29:25Speaker 6: I was doing the right thing by constantly talking to him.
- 1:29:27Speaker 6: But I was constantly talking to him about wanting more.
- 1:29:31Speaker 6: And then what I was failing to do in that
- 1:29:33Speaker 6: human moment of mine was I was failing to ever
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: be ever grateful for everything that I have. So he
- 1:29:41Speaker 6: caused me to have to come home and sit down
- 1:29:44Speaker 6: because now you got these health issues you got to
- 1:29:46Speaker 6: deal with. So now you got to sit still. But
- 1:29:50Speaker 6: while you're sitting still dealing with these health issues, I
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: want you to take a look around at what I'd done.
- 1:29:56Speaker 6: So I'm asking all of you today, have you taken
- 1:29:59Speaker 6: time to really realize with all that you prairie quest
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: you have for God, with all of your wants, ambitions,
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: aspirations and goals, you got to take our time every
- 1:30:12Speaker 6: single day to thank Him for what you have, to
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: thank him for what he's already done. And I was
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: just guilty of that. I just wasn't really doing it
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: the right way. And I just wanted to remind everybody
- 1:30:27Speaker 6: to not lose sight of what you have in the
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: quest for what you want. And so it's a it's
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: a it's a thin line between being grateful and trusting
- 1:30:38Speaker 6: and and and and showing gratitude because in the in
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: the trusting that he'll make your dreams come true and everything,
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: don't forget to thank him for what he's already done.
- 1:30:48Speaker 6: I was guilty of that, and I just want to
- 1:30:49Speaker 6: remind you all every day, every day to show gratitude.
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: Steve Harvey. Every day show gratitude. Steve Harvey, do not
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: wake up in the morning without putting your feet on
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: the ground saying thank you for everything He's done for you.
- 1:31:06Speaker 6: Don't let your eyes close at night without thanking him
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: for that day, and then all through the day, just
- 1:31:12Speaker 6: say thank you.
- 1:31:13Speaker 5: Now you can put your request in.
- 1:31:15Speaker 6: But if you had a gratitude in the morning, throughout
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: the day, and at night, I think those requests are
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: a little bit more in line. That's what I found
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: for myself. Hope that helps you out today. If it don't,
- 1:31:27Speaker 6: we'll be back here tomorrow. God willing with something else
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: that maybe it will. Y'all have a great day today,
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: Spend some time loving people. Talk to God today. He
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: would absolutely love to hear from you. Take care of yourself,
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: don't over indulge, and take care of your health, y'all.
- 1:31:47Speaker 6: Two most important things we have is our health and
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: our time with you. Out of either one of them,
- 1:31:52Speaker 6: you in trouble. Take care of your health, everybody, and
- 1:31:55Speaker 6: be grateful. Those are my clothing logs. Okay, Peace for all.
