- 0:24Speaker 4: Listening to show.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I don't joy?
- 0:50Speaker 4: Yeah, Joy, you know you gotta turn to turn the
- 1:42Speaker 4: mouth the turn you probably got to turn mouth, turn
- 1:46Speaker 4: the water the water up.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Come come on, you'll think, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:08Speaker 2: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 2: radio show. Yeah, I do. Took me when I said,
- 2:15Speaker 2: but I do, like I say always. It just is
- 2:19Speaker 2: a constant reminder of how good God has been. So
- 2:23Speaker 2: my question to you is what's stopping you from having
- 2:26Speaker 2: the life that you want? What's stopping you from having
- 2:31Speaker 2: the life that you want? I know a lot of
- 2:35Speaker 2: people who have given up on achieving the life of
- 2:39Speaker 2: their dreams. But I know they'd still want them if
- 2:43Speaker 2: they could get to them. But they just allowed to
- 2:47Speaker 2: settle for so many reasons. So who I'm talking to
- 2:51Speaker 2: is you today? What's really at the core of stopping you?
- 2:57Speaker 2: What is that? Is it your friends or your associates,
- 3:01Speaker 2: Is it the fear of what you think somebody else
- 3:04Speaker 2: will think of you if you decide to change. Is
- 3:07Speaker 2: it what I used to call the call of the wile?
- 3:10Speaker 2: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the
- 3:13Speaker 2: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments
- 3:18Speaker 2: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy for you,
- 3:22Speaker 2: You don't want to stop doing that because you've got
- 3:24Speaker 2: just a little bit more something else you want to do.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I call that the call of the while. You know
- 3:29Speaker 2: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, them
- 3:31Speaker 2: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.
- 3:38Speaker 2: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.
- 3:41Speaker 2: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What
- 3:44Speaker 2: is it that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:47Speaker 2: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,
- 3:51Speaker 2: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
- 3:54Speaker 2: that you want to have. It's no good because at
- 3:58Speaker 2: the end of the day, here's the deal. See, God
- 4:01Speaker 2: is available, and God is available for all of us,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and God has a plan for all of us, and
- 4:07Speaker 2: God wants the very best for all of us. That's
- 4:10Speaker 2: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna
- 4:13Speaker 2: do to get started having that life. First of all,
- 4:17Speaker 2: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends
- 4:23Speaker 2: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends
- 4:27Speaker 2: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a
- 4:30Speaker 2: wide range of reasons and misery love company. So usually
- 4:34Speaker 2: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind
- 4:37Speaker 2: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
- 4:41Speaker 2: going to church. You're gonna be their friend. They don't
- 4:44Speaker 2: really want you to go to church. You know your
- 4:47Speaker 2: friends don't pray, so why would they offer up prayer
- 4:50Speaker 2: as a solution to you. You know, your friends don't
- 4:54Speaker 2: really really get the fact that if you treat people better,
- 4:59Speaker 2: people would treat you you better. So what's that? So
- 5:02Speaker 2: your friends are a lot of times the reasons, you know,
- 5:06Speaker 2: to peer pressure of what and then the thought in
- 5:09Speaker 2: your mind of what they gonna think once they find
- 5:11Speaker 2: out I don't do what they do anymore. Who cares
- 5:15Speaker 2: what they think other than you? I mean, really, you
- 5:19Speaker 2: can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you from
- 5:23Speaker 2: having the best life you wanted to have. If I
- 5:25Speaker 2: went by that theory right there, wouldn't. I wouldn't even
- 5:29Speaker 2: be on this mic this morning. I would have never
- 5:31Speaker 2: become a stand up I would had I listened to
- 5:34Speaker 2: the people around me who clearly told me when I
- 5:37Speaker 2: quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't you quit
- 5:40Speaker 2: your job? You got a family, Boy, don't you do this.
- 5:44Speaker 2: You ain't got no bit that, ain't no security in that.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Get yourself a job. Go down here, and what's your brothers?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Go to work? Over here? Go to I heard all
- 5:53Speaker 2: of that. I didn't let that stop me from pursuing this.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Why would you allow that to stop you from pursuing
- 5:59Speaker 2: your relationship with God so you can have the best
- 6:02Speaker 2: life you could possibly have. You gang bang because they've
- 6:06Speaker 2: convinced you that this is the family situation and love
- 6:10Speaker 2: that you don't have, and they've convinced you that this
- 6:12Speaker 2: is your only way, your only source of getting over
- 6:17Speaker 2: and then you drum up these ignorant reasons man for
- 6:21Speaker 2: staying with it, But they sound so good when you
- 6:24Speaker 2: listening to everybody else you're surrounded by telling you why
- 6:28Speaker 2: we gang banging? Why we holding this block down, why
- 6:32Speaker 2: we slanging this thing here right here? Why we letting
- 6:35Speaker 2: it go like this? Here, you keep listening to them
- 6:38Speaker 2: when all in your heart of hearts you know this
- 6:41Speaker 2: ain't right. You already know, but you allow that form
- 6:46Speaker 2: of the call of the wile, that wanting to be
- 6:49Speaker 2: accepted by a group of people who trying to get
- 6:51Speaker 2: you to accept the way so you can further they progress.
- 6:54Speaker 2: To even prove that you're worthy to be around them,
- 6:58Speaker 2: you got to commit some type of crime to even
- 7:01Speaker 2: prove that you're worthy to be around them. Then when
- 7:03Speaker 2: you get busted on the crime, what happens to that
- 7:07Speaker 2: where your family are Now they don't come down there
- 7:10Speaker 2: to see you because guess what, they can't turn in
- 7:12Speaker 2: They idea to desk at a law enforcement center, So
- 7:15Speaker 2: now your homies can't come visit you. And then you
- 7:18Speaker 2: know your family back out here, they ain't taking care
- 7:20Speaker 2: of your family because it's all about them. Then you
- 7:24Speaker 2: learn that what is it that's stopping you from having
- 7:26Speaker 2: the life that you always wanted to have?
- 7:29Speaker 1: What is it?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Why are you a repeat offender? Why do you keep
- 7:35Speaker 2: checking yourself back into that institution?
- 7:38Speaker 5: Why?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you
- 7:42Speaker 2: give God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself? Why
- 7:46Speaker 2: would you continue to be a part of a revolving
- 7:49Speaker 2: door system and becoming a farm system for these institutions
- 7:53Speaker 2: that ain't got nothing for you. But you keep going
- 7:56Speaker 2: back in there. And then every time you go in there,
- 7:57Speaker 2: and now your little homies or your gang bat little
- 8:01Speaker 2: silly little friends try to make you think that's a
- 8:03Speaker 2: badge of honor. There ain't no badge of honor. Man,
- 8:06Speaker 2: that's one mold. What's one mode scratch on that record.
- 8:09Speaker 2: That's one mold. That's one more nail in that coffin.
- 8:12Speaker 2: That's one step closer to that third strike where you
- 8:15Speaker 2: ain't gonna ever get out. It's one step closer to
- 8:18Speaker 2: that graveyard. You keep on. Why would you not give
- 8:22Speaker 2: God a try? Why would you not go and see
- 8:25Speaker 2: what your life could really be? What is it that's
- 8:28Speaker 2: stopping you? Because see, I got news for you. That's
- 8:32Speaker 2: nothing like waking up free. I don't care who you are.
- 8:35Speaker 2: There's nothing like waking up with the joy in your heart. Now,
- 8:40Speaker 2: if you ain't gonna be free, get the joy in
- 8:42Speaker 2: your heart, the satisfaction of knowing that you're accomplishing something
- 8:46Speaker 2: with your life. Help somebody behind them balls get in
- 8:49Speaker 2: the program. Show these young cats when they come in
- 8:52Speaker 2: a better way. But don't you dash sit there, man
- 8:55Speaker 2: and just ride it out, and man, just go and
- 8:59Speaker 2: get the is life that you can have. What you know,
- 9:03Speaker 2: what it feels like to wake up and be on
- 9:05Speaker 2: your way somewhere knowing that you have something to accomplish,
- 9:08Speaker 2: that you can change somebody, that you can stop somebody
- 9:11Speaker 2: from going down the roads you went down. It's a
- 9:13Speaker 2: whole lot of ways to make your life better. But
- 9:16Speaker 2: why would you not go and have the best life
- 9:18Speaker 2: you can have? What is that's stopping you?
- 9:21Speaker 6: Really?
- 9:22Speaker 2: Really? So you think that Satan really has your best
- 9:26Speaker 2: interest at heart. That the other thing your mama kept
- 9:29Speaker 2: telling you about praying you wasn't listening, was you. But
- 9:32Speaker 2: you know, it ain't ever too late to get back
- 9:34Speaker 2: to that. It ain't ever too late to turn around,
- 9:37Speaker 2: It ain't ever too late to get your life together.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It ain't ever too late to seek God, and it
- 9:43Speaker 2: ain't ever too late to pray. Don't forget to pray,
- 9:46Speaker 2: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud
- 9:49Speaker 2: to pray, because prayer changes things. Prayer change people too.
- 9:55Speaker 2: I'm a witness to that.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening.

- 15:36Speaker 10: of the house. Now is that something that you did?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Say?
- 15:39Speaker 11: Man, look, you got to understand something. Man, all right now,
- 15:42Speaker 11: I apologize if that did happen, but you got to

- 15:46Speaker 14: You know, we're downside, man, and you.
- 15:48Speaker 11: Know we're talking eighty five ninety ninety five degree weather.
- 15:51Speaker 12: Man.
- 15:51Speaker 11: I got to stay high trated. I got to drink
- 15:53Speaker 11: a lot of fluid. So you know, with me being
- 15:56Speaker 11: the age that I am, I have to drink a
- 15:58Speaker 11: lot of fluids and the tend to pass through that.
- 16:00Speaker 13: Once and once again.
- 16:01Speaker 10: I said, I apologize, I understand all that, but you

- 20:48Speaker 1: All right?
- 20:49Speaker 9: Thinking that you coming up next, it is asked the
- 20:52Speaker 9: CLO or Chief Love officer. You're listening hardy morning show
- 20:57Speaker 9: coming up at the top of the hour and the
- 20:59Speaker 9: entertainment news. President Biden will deliver the commencement speech at
- 21:03Speaker 9: Morehouse College Magic.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Johnson was devastated.
- 21:08Speaker 9: After the LA Lakers Game two loss, and John Legend
- 21:11Speaker 9: says Donald Trump is racist at the core, at his core.
- 21:14Speaker 9: And we'll talk about all of these stories at the
- 21:17Speaker 9: top of the hour, but right now it is time
- 21:19Speaker 9: to ask the colo. This is from Leah in Kansas City.
- 21:23Speaker 9: Leah writes, my husband answers his phone and walks away
- 21:26Speaker 9: from me. He's even gone outside in the snow.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Before, just to talk on the phone.
- 21:32Speaker 9: When I fuss about it, he says, there's some stuff
- 21:34Speaker 9: that he tells his boys and I don't need to
- 21:37Speaker 9: hear it, Like what why?
- 21:40Speaker 10: Oh?
- 21:40Speaker 2: That's a true serment, all right, isn't now that right there?
- 21:44Speaker 2: That is not a lie. That is a true statement.
- 21:48Speaker 2: We have conversation with our boys, trust me, that you
- 21:51Speaker 2: cannot hear. It's things we say when we get together
- 21:54Speaker 2: that you could not hear. But let's flip it, it's
- 21:57Speaker 2: also things that women said, John, we cannot hear. That's
- 22:01Speaker 2: conversation y'all have with y'all girls. Y'all don't want your
- 22:04Speaker 2: husband listening to you talk like that, right, That's what
- 22:07Speaker 2: it is. And if he's basing it that right there
- 22:11Speaker 2: is a true statement. Yes, ma'am.
- 22:13Speaker 9: Yes, I was gonna say is and she concerned though
- 22:15Speaker 9: that he might be walking away because it's another woman.
- 22:19Speaker 2: She could be very concerned. But if you ain't heard
- 22:21Speaker 2: no woman on the phone, you're gonna have to go
- 22:23Speaker 2: with what he said. You have not heard no woman
- 22:29Speaker 2: on the phone. You ain't found no Texas scene nobody.
- 22:31Speaker 1: You can't hear it because he walked away.
- 22:33Speaker 2: He walks away.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Yeah, go outside, put them on speaker it.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm telling you right now that are things me
- 22:41Speaker 2: and my dudes talk about. My wife don't need to help.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Well, I get that because women do it too. Yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 1: I get that part.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, moving on the majority, Yes, I stay outside.
- 22:57Speaker 1: I'm going to watch the dog again.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah? Who does dog tag?
- 23:05Speaker 13: All right?
- 23:07Speaker 9: Felicia and Cincinnati says, I wanted my husband's dash to
- 23:11Speaker 9: get a cigar to smoke with him last night, and
- 23:13Speaker 9: I saw three flavored cigars. He said he got them
- 23:16Speaker 9: for a coworker to try. He said it's no big
- 23:19Speaker 9: deal and he forgot to take them to her. Should
- 23:22Speaker 9: I deliver the cigars to the lady?
- 23:24Speaker 2: No, you shouldn't because you don't know what you are
- 23:27Speaker 2: She supposed to.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Get the flavor. That's the.
- 23:32Speaker 10: Why you.
- 23:33Speaker 2: You got to deliver them. He's said he forgot, now
- 23:35Speaker 2: he remembers. He'll give him to him. Why is she
- 23:39Speaker 2: going in his stand? But but if you deliver, see,
- 23:43Speaker 2: if you deliver the cigar, you don't know what to say.
- 23:45Speaker 2: You don't smoke cigars.
- 23:48Speaker 9: She does smoke, he does? She smokes, Yeah, she does smoke.
- 23:52Speaker 9: That's why she went in a stash so she could
- 23:54Speaker 9: smoke one with him smoking her smoke one on every day. Oh,
- 24:01Speaker 9: that's okay, you don't have to deliver them. I'll take
- 24:03Speaker 9: them to her, thank you.
- 24:04Speaker 2: That's what she said. Take your cigars, my man had
- 24:11Speaker 2: that's either as or you got them jabbas coffee all
- 24:16Speaker 2: the mints or you got them. Don't give them cheap
- 24:19Speaker 2: on them honey bees. They make they make good cigars.
- 24:22Speaker 14: What is them?
- 24:23Speaker 2: Tahesion things though?
- 24:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's waesion.
- 24:34Speaker 2: That's just a fruity cool mile, that's all that is.
- 24:39Speaker 2: And I don't like the size of them either. That's
- 24:41Speaker 2: not the one. If you're gonna do that, use acid cigars,
- 24:44Speaker 2: blacking mind.
- 24:45Speaker 1: All right, I guess we're done with that one. Moving
- 24:50Speaker 1: on to Maurice and Detroit.
- 24:53Speaker 9: Maris said, I started flipping houses. My first flip is
- 24:57Speaker 9: a nice townhouse. My wife wants me to rent it
- 25:00Speaker 9: to her mom, who is raising three grandkids. Nothing is
- 25:03Speaker 9: wrong with her mom's current house. She just wants a
- 25:06Speaker 9: newer house. How do I say no and stand on it?
- 25:11Speaker 2: No, no, and stand on that and flip your house.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Your mama ain't gonna have pay you that rent. Your
- 25:17Speaker 2: rent gonna be laid. You're gonna be able to do nothing.
- 25:19Speaker 2: She gonna call you talking about she ain't got it
- 25:20Speaker 2: this month. Now, your mama just want a new house,
- 25:24Speaker 2: find another house. No, this is the business. We end
- 25:27Speaker 2: to flip these houses and produce a profit. You could.
- 25:30Speaker 2: It's hard to get your hands on love sums of
- 25:32Speaker 2: money in life. So if you can flip a house,
- 25:35Speaker 2: sell it, Let's say you make twenty thirty on it,
- 25:37Speaker 2: something like that or whatever. You flipping it and making
- 25:39Speaker 2: it on You can't gonna be able to get that
- 25:41Speaker 2: from your mom in law. She not goes on time,
- 25:46Speaker 2: She not gonna pay some time. And now and now
- 25:49Speaker 2: and now, all this money you don't put into this house,
- 25:51Speaker 2: you're ready to flip it now and so it's a
- 25:54Speaker 2: Now it's a hard ass nall.
- 25:57Speaker 9: But isn't his wife gonna be upset about that because.
- 25:59Speaker 2: It's her gonna help your mama find a really nice
- 26:02Speaker 2: place to stay. But we're gonna flip this house so
- 26:04Speaker 2: we can make this profit so we can keep the
- 26:06Speaker 2: ball roll. In the words of Slick Hard, the best
- 26:10Speaker 2: thing you can do for pole people is not be
- 26:12Speaker 2: one of them. And we got to keep our money rolling.
- 26:16Speaker 2: So your mama when she come over here with am
- 26:17Speaker 2: big and asked I have something to give.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Them, We're gonna say that raising three grand.
- 26:25Speaker 2: In my head, the whole inside voice, I just gave
- 26:31Speaker 2: y'all head thoughts, right, Okay, I'm gonna say out loud,
- 26:35Speaker 2: so it's not gonna come out. It's not gonna come out.
- 26:39Speaker 2: And you sit your young self over there and learn yourself.
- 26:42Speaker 2: You don't know enough right now? All right?
- 26:45Speaker 9: Last one, Steve, Last one. This is from Roxy and Yonkers.
- 26:49Speaker 9: Roxy writes, I'm fourteen years older than my husband. He
- 26:53Speaker 9: never seemed to mind, but I heard him tell his
- 26:55Speaker 9: friend that his gray hair is making him look as
- 26:57Speaker 9: old as his wife. He said he was joking, but
- 27:01Speaker 9: it's not funny to me. Does this mean my age
- 27:04Speaker 9: is finally getting to him.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Wow, your age is finding and got to everybody. Everybody
- 27:10Speaker 2: see it? Huh if he said this out loud, what
- 27:15Speaker 2: didn't happen? Since the here your agent and it showing
- 27:19Speaker 2: behind every joke is the truth. And now this gray
- 27:24Speaker 2: hand in his head got him looking just as old
- 27:27Speaker 2: as his wife. Now it ain't no finally got to it.
- 27:31Speaker 2: It to find a surface that showed up. Because when
- 27:34Speaker 2: he married you, it wasn't no problem. But now y'all
- 27:37Speaker 2: been married for a while for it it starting to
- 27:39Speaker 2: show itself. And that's what that sign is. I don't
- 27:44Speaker 2: know why y'all trying to fight me.
- 27:45Speaker 6: On this one.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I want to hear what you're going to start to show. Look, look,
- 27:50Speaker 2: I can't say everybody feeling it did that. That's not
- 27:56Speaker 2: what this segment is about. Now some of this, some
- 27:59Speaker 2: of the asked to see Helo, we're gonna have tell
- 28:01Speaker 2: a troop up in there now he told his friends
- 28:05Speaker 2: as a joke, but there behind every joke is the
- 28:08Speaker 2: truth now and not he's starting to feel like he
- 28:10Speaker 2: looking old as you. So now if he catching up
- 28:13Speaker 2: what that means? If if you catching up or you
- 28:16Speaker 2: are you jumping out there and leaps and bounds. Just
- 28:19Speaker 2: check yourself, get in the mirror, take closely.
- 28:22Speaker 9: So yeah, that's what she wants to know. Does this
- 28:24Speaker 9: mean my age is finally finally getting to him?
- 28:28Speaker 2: No, I ain't getting to him. That's turn got you
- 28:31Speaker 2: see why see listen to me. Why are you blaming
- 28:34Speaker 2: the man? This ain't the man fault. Is my age
- 28:38Speaker 2: finally getting to him?
- 28:39Speaker 15: No?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Your age are finally caught up to you. Anybody said,
- 28:45Speaker 2: I you look fourteen years older?
- 28:49Speaker 1: All right, Celo, change your hairstyle.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Look at your wardrobe. You got you stronger foundation.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Coming up top of the hour, Yeah, this is craziness.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Get mad at me.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour will right
- 29:12Speaker 1: after this. You're listening.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Morning show.
- 29:18Speaker 9: The White House has confirmed that President Biden will deliver
- 29:21Speaker 9: the commencement address at Morehouse College on May nineteenth. Morehouses
- 29:26Speaker 9: President released a statement saying we eagerly anticipate welcoming President
- 29:31Speaker 9: Biden back to the House next month. He went on
- 29:34Speaker 9: to say his presidence serves as a reminder of our
- 29:36Speaker 9: institutions enduring legacy and impact, as well as our continued
- 29:40Speaker 9: commitment to excellent excellence, progress and positive change.
- 29:47Speaker 2: House has done some incredible stuff then they really have. Yeah, yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 2: what a great HBCUs that's a lot of yes, a
- 29:55Speaker 2: lot of ye. The house real talent house.
- 30:04Speaker 6: Enough.
- 30:07Speaker 9: In other entertainment news, during a recent MSNBC interview, John
- 30:12Speaker 9: Legend says he doesn't want to hear what Donald Trump
- 30:15Speaker 9: has done for black people, and he is a racist.
- 30:18Speaker 17: Take a Listen made it clear throughout his life that
- 30:22Speaker 17: he believes black people are inferior, Like he believes.
- 30:25Speaker 1: That to his core, in his bones.
- 30:28Speaker 17: He wouldn't let us live in his buildings back in
- 30:31Speaker 17: the day. But also when you hear some of the
- 30:35Speaker 17: stray comments he makes, he clearly believes in a genetic
- 30:38Speaker 17: hierarchy of humanity and it's racially determined. So he is
- 30:45Speaker 17: a tried and true, like died in the wool racist,
- 30:50Speaker 17: Like in the core of his being, he's a racist.
- 30:53Speaker 17: So I don't want to hear what he has to
- 30:56Speaker 17: say about what he's done for black people. He's done
- 30:59Speaker 17: very little for us, thank you.
- 31:02Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 31:02Speaker 2: I don't know anything he's done for black people. And
- 31:09Speaker 2: then I want to say this too, I want to
- 31:11Speaker 2: make a couple of statements. First of all, we as
- 31:13Speaker 2: a people have to stop waiting on somebody who's gonna
- 31:15Speaker 2: do something for us, because that calvary is never coming
- 31:19Speaker 2: over the hill. I don't know. I don't know who
- 31:23Speaker 2: that The last time I saw somebody trying to do
- 31:26Speaker 2: something for us that was not one of us, I don't,
- 31:31Speaker 2: I don't. I don't remember who that is. I don't.
- 31:34Speaker 2: You can enlighten me, Please show me, because I don't
- 31:38Speaker 2: know nobody that has an agenda for black people. Now,
- 31:42Speaker 2: Obama did some things and he didn't get enough credit
- 31:45Speaker 2: for it. Where he slid some things in that was
- 31:47Speaker 2: help us. The healthcare ask was to help us. Uh.
- 31:51Speaker 2: The release and what Biden is doing now the relief,
- 31:54Speaker 2: the relieving of our debt is uh.
- 31:58Speaker 1: College.
- 32:02Speaker 2: But now let me say this though, I was just
- 32:05Speaker 2: thinking the other day about Donald Trump. Do you know
- 32:10Speaker 2: what I don't understand the hypocrisy of this country with
- 32:16Speaker 2: Donald Trump. This is a man who has ninety one
- 32:19Speaker 2: indictments correct, correct, He's on a trial. He's in a
- 32:26Speaker 2: trial right now.
- 32:27Speaker 1: For a crime.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Yes. Do you know that if you went to FedEx,
- 32:31Speaker 2: the post office, ups, if you went to MacDonald's, Burger King,
- 32:36Speaker 2: Wendy Quarterburger or Jack in the Box and you had
- 32:40Speaker 2: on your application that you had one indictment pending your
- 32:46Speaker 2: ass not getting a job. You got to get out
- 32:50Speaker 2: of here. How in the world can you have ninety
- 32:54Speaker 2: one indictments and be in for a job. Let loans
- 33:00Speaker 2: the highest office in America. This is hypocrisy. If you
- 33:04Speaker 2: had an indictment, you would lose the job you at
- 33:08Speaker 2: right now.
- 33:09Speaker 16: Just one.
- 33:09Speaker 2: They would spend you, They would suspend you from the
- 33:13Speaker 2: police department, they would suspend your ass from FAIREX. You
- 33:16Speaker 2: get an indictment on you, just one, you' work on
- 33:22Speaker 2: bruh if they put it, if you put it on
- 33:24Speaker 2: an application, you won't working no more. How in the
- 33:26Speaker 2: hell can this be? This is crazy? I wonder what
- 33:30Speaker 2: Steven A would say about that. And let me say
- 33:35Speaker 2: this right here behind I'm just putting it. All of us,
- 33:40Speaker 2: all of us that have microphones that have a voice,
- 33:45Speaker 2: we are not necessarily the voice of black people. We
- 33:48Speaker 2: are not. No Ain't nobody voted us that. But if
- 33:52Speaker 2: you are talking to us in large numbers, you have
- 33:56Speaker 2: to be mindful of the things you are saying because
- 33:59Speaker 2: what you say can hurt us, just like you can
- 34:04Speaker 2: encourage us, just like you can enlighten us and just
- 34:07Speaker 2: like you can empower us, you can also hurt us.
- 34:12Speaker 2: We have got to be mindful of things we say
- 34:15Speaker 2: and your opinion. Ain't that damn important at the cost
- 34:20Speaker 2: of us as a people in a culture. I don't
- 34:24Speaker 2: give a damn if you have the right to think
- 34:27Speaker 2: or say what you want to say, it don't mean
- 34:30Speaker 2: you should we when have we ever had freedom of speech?
- 34:34Speaker 2: I man, I wish y'all would get out that line,
- 34:36Speaker 2: because I'm gonna remind you of several places in the
- 34:39Speaker 2: Constitution that you are not. You can say the Star
- 34:44Speaker 2: Spangled banner and the national anthem all your ass, won't
- 34:47Speaker 2: it don't really apply to you. So this freedom of speechman,
- 34:52Speaker 2: we got to temple what we say because we are
- 34:55Speaker 2: held to a different standard in this country and you
- 34:58Speaker 2: know it. So get smart out here, man, and stop
- 35:02Speaker 2: running your mouth just because you can.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Stephen A. Smith apologize, not.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Even I ain't even just talking about Steven now.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I'm just saying, no, yeah, you're gonna I like it.
- 35:15Speaker 2: I got his number. I mean as you should, though, yes, yes, yeah,
- 35:19Speaker 2: but that's why we have to be careful. You all
- 35:21Speaker 2: tell me all the time, Steve all the time. I'll
- 35:27Speaker 2: tell you, man, I'd be ready to.
- 35:30Speaker 15: Go in.
- 35:33Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:34Speaker 9: All right, Well, you know we'll keep watching. The hush
- 35:38Speaker 9: money trial is still going on, so we'll keep you updated.
- 35:43Speaker 9: Coming up at about twenty minutes after the hour, Steve.
- 35:46Speaker 9: People call, they want to talk to you. They leave
- 35:48Speaker 9: you voicemails. We're gonna check your voicemail. Coming up at
- 35:51Speaker 9: eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. Eight seven seven.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Twenty nine, Steve. Right after this, who go check me boo?
- 35:59Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Morning show?
- 36:02Speaker 9: All right, Steve, it's time to check your voicemail. Eight

- 54:08Speaker 10: We got it for you. Here it is straw baby letter.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Thank you nephew, subject fight or Flight. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:15Speaker 9: I'm a forty four year old married man and I'm
- 54:17Speaker 9: in a very high leadership role with my company. My
- 54:21Speaker 9: wife and our two children enjoy my annual company picnic,
- 54:24Speaker 9: and they've been out of the country twice with me
- 54:26Speaker 9: on my work trips. I came from the hood and
- 54:29Speaker 9: so did my wife, and we want better for the kids.
- 54:33Speaker 9: I've worked at this manufacturing company since I was in
- 54:35Speaker 9: the tenth grade, and I worked my way up. My
- 54:39Speaker 9: wife and I got married after high school. We had
- 54:42Speaker 9: our children fairly young, so we didn't have much time
- 54:45Speaker 9: to be young ourselves, and my wife didn't have much
- 54:49Speaker 9: time to keep up with her girlfriend. So now I'm
- 54:51Speaker 9: her only friend and she's very clingy, and that's how
- 54:55Speaker 9: she ended up getting banned from going on my work trips.
- 54:59Speaker 9: Last in Hawaii, she got bored and came to the
- 55:03Speaker 9: meeting room and barged in on my presentation. She asked
- 55:07Speaker 9: how much longer I'd be and my female boss escorted
- 55:11Speaker 9: her out. As I continue to do my presentation, I
- 55:14Speaker 9: could hear them shouting all the way down the hall
- 55:17Speaker 9: and my wife accused my boss of wanting me all
- 55:19Speaker 9: to herself. I almost had a heart attack. My wife
- 55:23Speaker 9: yelled at me for the rest of the trip and
- 55:25Speaker 9: refused to apologize to my boss. She's left me no
- 55:29Speaker 9: choice but to leave her at home this year when
- 55:31Speaker 9: I go to Hawaii in July. She told me if
- 55:34Speaker 9: she couldn't, if she doesn't get booked for the flight,
- 55:38Speaker 9: we are going to fight until I leave and after
- 55:41Speaker 9: I get back. I'm so tired and sexually frustrated because
- 55:46Speaker 9: she's been holding out on sex too. I haven't slept
- 55:49Speaker 9: in weeks because I feel sorry for her. All I
- 55:52Speaker 9: ask is that she apologized to my boss and make
- 55:54Speaker 9: things right. Am I being mean for leaving.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Her at home? Or did she do this to herself?
- 56:00Speaker 9: Well, that is an easy question because yes, obviously, absolutely
- 56:05Speaker 9: she did this to herself, because don't even consider taking
- 56:09Speaker 9: her crazy behind any more of your job events. She
- 56:12Speaker 9: has no boundary. She thinks she can do whatever she wants,
- 56:15Speaker 9: but she forgets or doesn't think at all, that her
- 56:19Speaker 9: erratic behavior can mess things up for the whole family.
- 56:22Speaker 9: And no, you're not being mean. You can't just sit
- 56:26Speaker 9: back and let her ruin everything you work so hard for.
- 56:28Speaker 9: You started from the bottom since the tenth grade. This position,
- 56:32Speaker 9: your career means a lot to you, and you're in
- 56:35Speaker 9: a leadership position too at your job. Your wife is
- 56:39Speaker 9: an embarrassment at this point. Where's her gratitude for the
- 56:42Speaker 9: life she gets to leave for live, for the fabulous
- 56:45Speaker 9: trips or whatever else you're providing for the family. She
- 56:48Speaker 9: should apologize to your boss, she should, and everyone who
- 56:53Speaker 9: was at your presentation that day. But we all know
- 56:56Speaker 9: she's not going to do that. She says she's not
- 56:57Speaker 9: going to do it, and that's a shame. She's with
- 56:59Speaker 9: her sex from you too. Let's not forget about that.
- 57:04Speaker 9: So so far, you still have your job.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Everything's cool there.
- 57:08Speaker 9: But I'm sure you can't have any more of these
- 57:10Speaker 9: crazy incidents and you're taking precautions, so you I don't know,
- 57:16Speaker 9: this is not gonna work.
- 57:17Speaker 1: She can't bust up in your job like that.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Steve, Oh wow, you know I can't. Dog. This is
- 57:27Speaker 2: a hard win, man, because you know I can tell
- 57:30Speaker 2: that the guy loves his wife. He really does. But
- 57:35Speaker 2: you got a problem, No, Pardner, you got a real problem. Okay,
- 57:39Speaker 2: So let's go. You forty four. They've known each other,
- 57:45Speaker 2: this woman and his girlfriend. His wife and I have
- 57:48Speaker 2: known each other since high school. Well I don't know
- 57:50Speaker 2: if it says high school, but he's been at the
- 57:52Speaker 2: job since he was in the tenth grade. He came
- 57:55Speaker 2: from the hood, his wife come from the hood, and
- 57:57Speaker 2: they won't better for their kids. So let me get
- 58:00Speaker 2: this right. He's worked at the manufacturing company since the
- 58:03Speaker 2: tenth grade. You worked your way up. Oh yeah, then
- 58:07Speaker 2: they got married after high school. We had our children
- 58:10Speaker 2: fairly young. It's going good. We didn't have much time
- 58:13Speaker 2: to be young ourselves. This is a man who is
- 58:17Speaker 2: assessing the situation. I think very admirably. He realizes what's
- 58:24Speaker 2: happened here. So she ain't had time to keep up
- 58:28Speaker 2: with a girlfriend. So now I'm her only friend, and
- 58:30Speaker 2: she's very cleaning and by her being clingy, this is
- 58:36Speaker 2: the statement he makes that that's how she ended up
- 58:40Speaker 2: getting banned from going on work trips or so what
- 58:44Speaker 2: happened last year to go to Hawaii? She got bored,
- 58:48Speaker 2: came to the meeting room and barged in on my presentation.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Young dude up in there making a presentation and everything.
- 58:57Speaker 2: She asked how much long I'll be now, you can't
- 59:03Speaker 2: do that. That's crazy, that that makes no damn sense
- 59:08Speaker 2: at all. And this has nothing to do with being clingy.
- 59:13Speaker 2: This is unprofessional, and this is unbecoming of your wife
- 59:19Speaker 2: interfering with the way you earn a living. So this
- 59:23Speaker 2: is this ain't no, no, this ain't got nothing to
- 59:26Speaker 2: do with being cleany man, and your wife cannot be
- 59:30Speaker 2: that out of touch to not realize that this is
- 59:34Speaker 2: beyond inappropriate. She has got to see that. I don't
- 59:40Speaker 2: give it. Damn. How far are you from the hood
- 59:42Speaker 2: or how clingy you are? I know a whole lot
- 59:45Speaker 2: of people that's hood and clinging. Ain't finna walk up
- 59:48Speaker 2: in no presentation. But how long you gonna be we're
- 59:51Speaker 2: here in Hawaii. Well he on the work trip, all right?
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: So then they his female boss escorted her out. I'll
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: continue with the process. He can hear him all the
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: way down in the hall, hollering and stuff. Your wife
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: yelled at me. I'll tell you the rest of it
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: when we come back this day.
- 1:00:14Speaker 9: Yeah, hang on all right, coming up part two of
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: Steve's response to today's Strawberry letter, Fight or Flight. We'll
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: have that at twenty three minutes after right after this,
- 1:00:25Speaker 9: you're listening.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: Morning show.
- 1:00:28Speaker 9: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:31Speaker 9: The subject is fight or Flight.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: So this couple been married since high school. This man
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: has had this job since the tenth grade. He done
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: work his way up to a real nice capacity. He's
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: doing presentations at the company. Now they go on trips.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: They have two wonderful kids that they want to have
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: a better life than the one they had. And now
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: they had some problems because on the last trip to
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Hawaii last year, she doesn't have any friends because they
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: got married so young, and he's he's her best friend,
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: and that's caused her to be real clinging. Well, and
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: they were at the work Uh, they were at the
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: work trip and he was in the office somewhere giving
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: a presentation. Wife got bored, came to the presentation, barged
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: in and said, how much long are you gonna be wo?
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: He couldn't believe it. He could not believe it. Now,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now. She didn't barge in
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: cause she hood. She didn't barge in cause she clinging.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: I know a lot of cleaning people. I know a
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: lot of hood people. That's not why she barged in.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: She barged in because she ignorant. Because she ignorant. That's ignorance.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: You gonna come in here and the only place that
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: y'all earning a living. This man that made away for
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: his family, and then you come in here with this ignorance,
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: barge in while he giving a presentation. His female boss
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: escorts her out of the presentation. He could hear them
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: shouting all the way down the hall. Now this man
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: is mortified. I almost had a heart attack. And then
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: the wife accuses the female boss of warning him to herself. No, lady,
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: she tried to spare him the embarrassment of you further
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: humiliating him and interrupting a meeting. So she has a
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: female say, oh wait a minute, come on, sister, come
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: this way. What you doing? No, no, no, that ain't
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: good enough for her. Now she yelling all the way
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: down the hall. Now his wife has yelled at him
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: for the rest of the trip. Refused to apologize to
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: my boss. She left me no choice but to leave
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: her at home this year. He say, ain't no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: we ain't going back to white and Dog. You better
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: not take her. No, dog, dog, don't take her. So
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: now she just said, if she don't get booked for
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: a flight, we gonna fight until I leave and then
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: after I get back. Damn it is home. Then its
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: own like, don't get can, I don't care. I'm getting
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: on this flight without you. You not coming up in here.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: You cannot allow her to a second chance to mess
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: up your job, though, dog, you don't work too hard
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: to get here. And why she don't see that? No, man,
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: I'm so tired and sexually frustrated because she been holding
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: out on sex too. I ain't slept in weeks because
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: I feel sorry for her. All I asked is she
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: apologized to my boss and make things right. I ain't apologize, No,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: damn body Now the brother want to know, am I
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: being mean for leaving her at home? Or did she
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: do this to herself? Bruh, She not only did it
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: to herself. But this don't look real good for you, man.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: And if you bring on that trip, what's to say
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: she won't do something else? She won't apologize to the boss.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Suppose on the trip she run up into your boss,
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: she gonna do it. She ain't gonna apologize. She might
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: do the same thing. This could turn ugly. You have
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: to leave her at home because she won't even apologize
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: for the wrong in it that she did. You're dealing
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: man with the person man who is just only thinking
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: of themselves. Now, this is a righteous dude, because guess
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: what he said. He said, you know what, I feel
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: sorry for her. I ain't slept in weeks because I
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: know she lonely. She ain't got no friends. He's found
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: a way to be compassionate for his wife. So you've
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: done all you can do. She has to go. She
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: cannot go on this trip though. You got to leave
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: her at home. Any questions, anybody, I don't know how.
- 1:04:53Speaker 10: He completed his speech as they going down the hall organ.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Oh I can do that. I can do that. Let
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: me tell you something, man, I've been in a situation.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: I've been slapped before I go on stage before, I've
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: been pussed out for going on stage before all that. Man,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: I don't I'm doing staying up. Yeah, yeah dog, yeah,
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna go do my job. Though. I'm gonna go
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: do my job. Come in here and ask all the
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: bigger food you want to. I'm gonna go out here.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna do my job, So I need to finished appresentation.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: That ain't nothing.
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: That is that.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: I just don't like the fact that that ain't nothing
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: not in here. Hell happened to me before. But you
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: get slipped and go out there. Say what's happening y'all?
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: Y'all doing tonight?
- 1:05:36Speaker 14: Ye?
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: All of you, the two of you are not understanding
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: that level of commitment and professionalism and the show must
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: go on. I'm committed, Okay, I just can't take your ass.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: But before I go out there, though, you get slapped
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: ten minutes before you go on stage. Okay, So now,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen, uh, Tommy and Ki ain't gonna be
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: able to work tonight. No, we're got to get to check. No,

- 1:06:06Speaker 10: We're talking about that slap when I get on staying

- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Well, see now, now let's over this. You're bringing your
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: personal life and matters on to the stage. Have you

- 1:07:45Speaker 7: all the other quarterbacks at Top Golf just to see
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: what would happen.
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: Put them all in one room. And Jaye didn't like
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: that because if I'm the pick, why is all these
- 1:07:53Speaker 8: other quarterbacks here?
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: And see?
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: That didn't sit well with him because it's like, you know,
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: if you're gonna court me, court me, don't court everybody.
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: So we don't know if he really want to go
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: to Washington after that.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: But dog, ain't dog these young boys today. Yo, you

- 1:08:27Speaker 2: Well this for money, now, homie, Yeah, this for a check? Now?
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: They brought your ass up to top gol. I only
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: one won't be a top golf MA pick that club
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: of and hit your ball your turn neck he got
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: he now hitting Miles stuck out because there's some other quarterbacks.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: The man. This the nf AL dog, right yeah, yeah dog,
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: this is pro dog brug rug. You know they let

- 1:08:59Speaker 2: for just let Russell Wilson go dog. They just let
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: you go. Man.
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: Stop you know, uh man, this is an opportunity to
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: change your life right here.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: What would you say?
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: The first thing they need to do because they've finish
- 1:09:11Speaker 7: comeing to a lot of money at a young age.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: You know, well we know exactly how much money they
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: gonna come because the first round if you make x
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: amoundred dollars, well they know where they're coming up. But
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: I'm just telling you right now, get ready, get ready,
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: because the problems you're about to have you have no idea.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: They can't prepare you for. I've never had them before.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: And your first set of problems gonna come from family
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: and then automatically and then the vultures are sitting around
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: figuring out how they can get a piece his little agent,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: the little Mark and an agent, the lawyer, the CPA,
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: and they all tie together. You gotta watch that, man, Yeah,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: you gotta watch that. Half the people you do not
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: need at all. It's a sad thing, man, it is.
- 1:09:52Speaker 8: Let's get ready to watch the dragt this weekend. We're
- 1:09:53Speaker 8: gonna find out who went where?
- 1:09:55Speaker 9: All right, Junior, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:09:57Speaker 9: of the hour, Steven Manna on social media needs you.
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: He says, my teenage son is again showering. He needs
- 1:10:03Speaker 9: some advice. We'll talk about that right after this.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: You're listening.
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: Morning show, So Steve.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: This is from George from Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:10:15Speaker 9: George says, Hey, Steve, I'm one of your blue eyed
- 1:10:17Speaker 9: Soul Brother listeners and I need some advice. This past
- 1:10:20Speaker 9: Monday was Earth Day, and my teenage son has been
- 1:10:24Speaker 9: reading or seeing online that there might be a water
- 1:10:27Speaker 9: shortage in our town and he wants to conserve water
- 1:10:30Speaker 9: to help save our planet. As a result, he now
- 1:10:34Speaker 9: says he's going to quote do his part to help
- 1:10:37Speaker 9: the situation by refusing to shower. While I respect his intention,
- 1:10:43Speaker 9: he also is playing baseball and soccer and sweating a lot,
- 1:10:48Speaker 9: and then one day he tried to refuse to flush
- 1:10:51Speaker 9: the toilet. He insists that we're in the wrong for
- 1:10:53Speaker 9: not caring about our community and the planet. Okay, I
- 1:10:57Speaker 9: get the conservation and recycling is important.
- 1:10:59Speaker 13: I get that.
- 1:11:00Speaker 9: But what can we say to him that will resonate
- 1:11:03Speaker 9: more than whatever it is he's seeing on social media.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: Well, first of all, soul brother, thank you for calling.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: Let me give you your number one. All you have
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: to do with this little boy in this shouts, coordinate
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: with another parent down the street and ask them can
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: they bring their daughter to the house, and then have
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: the daughter just politely say I don't like boys who smell,
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: and I would never date the boy who smell. That
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: case is over. The best thing I did in my
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: boy's camp one year was the boys were talking about man,
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: mister Harvey, that's old school. Don't nobody open doors pull
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: our chairs no more. We don't do it like that.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: We don't walk. We walk with um. So what different
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: side and side where you walking on? I had some
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: young girls who are visiting my daughters. I had to
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: young girls come down to the camp one night and
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: I bought them up on stage and all one hundred
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: and fifty of them boys set up in their chair
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: because they were a teenage girl, and they were gorgeous
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: little girls, and they were going around the room, and
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: I was just asking them questions without embarrassing any boys.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: Do you like boys who wear their hair like this?
- 1:12:20Speaker 14: No?
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: Do you like boys who sagging where they passed like this?
- 1:12:24Speaker 14: No?
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: And I went down line with a couple of questions.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Do you know the next day that barber shop was
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: full Dimbler boys in there getting haircuts. Thembler boys is
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: in there as you see, nobody sagging because the little
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: girls was on the other side of the ranch doing
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: some other things. And there now and then I'd go
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: get my pliers and put them on the plaza, just
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: drive them through the camp. You know, they stayed on
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: the truck with me because they were a teenage girl.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I don't put them in the situation for three them
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: boys like that before they pants up. That barber shop
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: was full of boys getting haircuts. All you got to
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: do is introduce that. Now. Second, here's the other thing
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: you do. But you're not finna do it. You're not
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: finna not flush this damn to come on you much,
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: your damn jaw cracked. And here you ain't flushing tailet.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: I don't give a damn what's happening in the environment.
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: You're not finna mess up this environment trying to say
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: that damn environment outside. Now, don't flush another thought toilet
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: in here, and watch what happened in your throat, because
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna sucker punch your ass dead and your damn thoat. God,
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: you gotta add a little bit of blackness to your child. Really, Yeah,
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: you ain't here leaving doors open, standing there with refrigerator
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: over it. You ain't bought nothing in there. Shut that
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: damn dough all this here right here now, you ain't
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: got to do that. All this respect to see respect
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: begets respect. I respect your wisher. You want to save
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: the planet, but you're gonna respect the rules up in here. Now.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Your ass ain't working. You're down here, riding your funky
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: ass round in here, running up and down this football field,
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: kicking this ball, and you're not going to bring your
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: little stink of ass in here. You ain't eating a
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: damn thing to you, babe.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that worked, all right, thank you? All right? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: I do have another one.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: We'll yeah, yeah, all right.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: That's good advice, though.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: George right there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got a teenage boy.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, that's why he wrote you, because.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Wow, he's on social media. So George, you heard Steve.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: That's what you do. Go boys think though, God no not. Plus,
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: I got to say, you better save your save your ass.
- 1:14:46Speaker 9: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:14:49Speaker 9: up at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening.
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:58Speaker 9: Authorities in Philadelphia say some station crooks took about thirty
- 1:15:02Speaker 9: thousand dollars worth of crabs from a truck outside of Walmart.

- 1:15:10Speaker 9: separate cars, assaulted to delivery truck driver, leaving him injured,
- 1:15:14Speaker 9: and took the boxes of Grandpa Harvey's crabs.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: And just a few weeks prior, more.
- 1:15:21Speaker 9: Thieves stole twelve thousand dollars worth of pork and another
- 1:15:24Speaker 9: cargo heights of a shipment of bourbon.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: Wow, they're just stealing hunts liquor.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you something. Stealing stealing crabs in a
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: small booth.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Why you say that's set.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: You gotta have a buyer for them. Cram that night immediately. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: I ain't think about that. Yeah, these thieves don't have
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: a cold storage facilities. They got that damn lock it
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: down there at the U haul storage placed. You set
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: them prams in there and come back to mark you something. Yeah, see,
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: don't think stuff out. Man's certain stuff you don't need
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: to steal.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Right, crab crabs, pork and liquor.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Bourbon, bourbon. You can get your hair on bourbon and cigarette.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: That's what you want to seed.

- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty three minutes?
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, tell us their I don't need to go

- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah you can tell me.

- 1:17:22Speaker 2: it again tomorrow.

- 1:20:02Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening.
- 1:20:06Speaker 5: Morning show?
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: All right, guys, Here we are last break of the
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: day on this Thursday. This is a fast week, man. Yeah,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: it is going by pretty really fast. All right, Steve.
- 1:20:18Speaker 9: Before we get out of here, we have another question
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: for you. CJ needs some advice.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: He says. My pops needs some dating help.
- 1:20:28Speaker 9: My mom passed away a couple of years ago, and
- 1:20:31Speaker 9: I can tell my dad is feeling lost and alone.
- 1:20:34Speaker 9: I try to hang out with him when I can,
- 1:20:37Speaker 9: but I can also tell that companionship from his son
- 1:20:40Speaker 9: isn't exactly what he needs. I have no idea what
- 1:20:43Speaker 9: the best way is for a guy who's pushing sixty
- 1:20:46Speaker 9: to find someone new and spend time with or even
- 1:20:49Speaker 9: how dating works when you're that old. Any tips on
- 1:20:54Speaker 9: where he can go to find a woman his age
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: or should he be doing online dating?
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: That's question was damn.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Sixteen?
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, Oh what's the letter guy's name? What's his
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: name is?
- 1:21:09Speaker 5: CJ?
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: Well, CJ, I appreciate you letting me know that it's
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: over for me, that I'm old and beyond it sounds like.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: But anyway, though, CJ, here's the deal, man, Uh, you
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: got a couple of things. Probably Number one, your dad misses.
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: Your mom grief is a part of this. Number two, Uh,
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: they probably had a great relationship, and he just he
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: just don't know where to start. He is going to
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: figure it out. The sixty year old single man has
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: more than enough options, more than enough options, because it
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: is enough women out here that would be glad to
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: help him through his his dog times and and and
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: help him move on through life. He's got to get
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: out a little bit, but he don't have to go far.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: Online dating is available if he's up to it, you know,
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: but he got places he can go and meet women
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: that ain't a problem. You can go down to that church,
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: you can go down there to it's just a lot
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: of places. But he's got to get a little bit
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: of a social life going on, you know, go down
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: there and make some things happen. Now, it's hard for
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: me to tell him where to start. He would be
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: so easy for a famous person to get back out there,
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: But I'm talking about the average guys. What I'm trying
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: to think of. What would I do? Churches? It's a
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: lot of women down there out a good women conferences. Women,
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: you know, women exposed and stuff. You know, go on
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: down there, get you a room. Uh, you gotta have
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: to travel. Yeah, just get a room down there. You
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: ain't got a.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Register for the conference, and walk around to the lobby.
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: All you gotta do is walk through that lobby and
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: get out there on that resort. Dress nice, walk through
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: there and ask well, then just stop, excuse me, what's
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: what's going on this week? Oh? This is a women's conference.
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: You didn't know that. No, I was coming down here,
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: you know, my wife passed, uh and I was just
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: getting away, you know, trying to get back out here
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: in the social time. Right. Came down here and I'm
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: just trying to That's why I didn't know. But it
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: looks like a lot of lovely people down here. Congratulations
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: and oh, by the way, excuse me, I didn't I
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: didn't get your name.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: M conversation, you know what I mean?
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: And I think that he's sixty. He's from that generation
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: where he still know how to talk to people.
- 1:24:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Yeah, these your cats, they ain't got no conversation. So
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: what I just do like a re enactment? Sureley, call
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: anybody you could. I'm walking through the resort, y'all at
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: a women's conference. You're all single, and I stop you
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: and I say, excuse me, excuse me, miss, I'm sorry
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: to bother you. I noticed a lot of people down here.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: Do you know what's going on this week?
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we do. It's a women's empowerment conference.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: Okay, are you here for the conference? I am, yes,
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: I am? Wow wow. So so it's about it's about empowerment.
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: Is a conference?
- 1:24:50Speaker 9: Uh huh Yeah, it's about empowerment. Women entrepreneurs are getting
- 1:24:54Speaker 9: together all.
- 1:24:55Speaker 5: Of that, and you know, just to show.
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: You know, our power and strength and to uplift other
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: women things like that.
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: Oh okay, well I'm mad. This is all right. I
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: came down here. I didn't know. I was just checking
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: into a hotel because my wife passed over a year
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: going out.
