- 0:16Speaker 1: bucks things in the sub not me through good it.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve hastening to mother, Please, I don't join me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: gotta turn hur you go, you gotta turn to turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. You got to turn them out. Then turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come come on your h huh.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will a good morning everybody you're listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the boys, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got this radio show. Man, Hi got here.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I really can't explain it. Only by the grace of God,
- 2:20Speaker 1: that's all I can really tell you. I was talking
- 2:25Speaker 1: with a buddy the other day and he was telling me.
- 2:27Speaker 1: He said, Man, he had an interesting philosophy about it.
- 2:32Speaker 1: He said. You know, you can have dreams and visions,
- 2:34Speaker 1: he say, but God, God will never show you what
- 2:40Speaker 1: all he has for you. He won't show you all
- 2:44Speaker 1: of it because he knows you will mess it up.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And you know what, man, I thought about that, and wow,
- 2:52Speaker 1: how true is that? Okay? I know that I got
- 2:57Speaker 1: a radio show. I didn't see it. It's just become
- 3:02Speaker 1: this major blessing for me. I didn't see it. But
- 3:05Speaker 1: if I would have seen it and known when he
- 3:09Speaker 1: had planned on giving it to me, I would have
- 3:12Speaker 1: messed it up because Number one, my first question would
- 3:15Speaker 1: have been to him, why I got to wait so long?
- 3:19Speaker 1: Why don't I go down hill and start on the
- 3:22Speaker 1: radio now? And then I be in radio and then
- 3:27Speaker 1: tidy see that God? But see, the thing about God
- 3:31Speaker 1: is God don't need your help a matter of fact,
- 3:34Speaker 1: that he don't really want it. All he want is
- 3:37Speaker 1: you to love him and obey him. If you can
- 3:40Speaker 1: do them two things I think. I think I could
- 3:42Speaker 1: be wrong. I think he'd be really cool with us.
- 3:46Speaker 1: So had I known about these blessings that he had
- 3:51Speaker 1: for me, I would have messed him up because I
- 3:53Speaker 1: would have put my thinking in the figuring process, and
- 3:56Speaker 1: that would have jacked it all up. That's the first
- 3:59Speaker 1: thing I asked him, why I got to wait so long?
- 4:02Speaker 1: And then if he has shown me what I was
- 4:04Speaker 1: gonna have to do to get it, I would have
- 4:07Speaker 1: showed messed that up. Man, I ain't gonna do that.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I ain't even to do all of that. Wait a minute,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I got to go through all of these mishaps in
- 4:15Speaker 1: my life, so when I get the radio show, I
- 4:18Speaker 1: have something to share. Man, why don't I just read
- 4:23Speaker 1: a couple of books and share that experience with them? Now? See,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I want you to know what you're talking about. I
- 4:30Speaker 1: want you to be transparent. I want people to be
- 4:33Speaker 1: able to identify with your struggle and apply they struggle
- 4:37Speaker 1: to it and see that they can get over. See.
- 4:40Speaker 1: God never shows you all of it because he know
- 4:43Speaker 1: will mess it up. I wouldn't have any books, I
- 4:48Speaker 1: certainly please know, I would not be the host of
- 4:50Speaker 1: family if you can't tell you that. It is amazing man,
- 4:55Speaker 1: how God works. And my invitation to everybody today is
- 5:00Speaker 1: allow God to work. You know, you can ask him
- 5:04Speaker 1: why all you want to. And from time to time
- 5:06Speaker 1: I still do no good for me, But that old
- 5:09Speaker 1: why me, old woe is me? Lord? Thing that don't
- 5:12Speaker 1: really get it for me, because when I start asking
- 5:15Speaker 1: him why, I'm asking somebody who has a thought process
- 5:18Speaker 1: so high above mine that there's no way if he
- 5:21Speaker 1: told it to me, I wouldn't even get it. You
- 5:24Speaker 1: wouldn't need hunk out bright you think you are, man,
- 5:26Speaker 1: You just ain't gonna get how and why he does
- 5:28Speaker 1: it his way. You're not going to understand it. But
- 5:32Speaker 1: he has a plan for each and every one of us.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And if we adhere to the plan, if we submit
- 5:38Speaker 1: ourselves to his will and just say, okay, God, what
- 5:40Speaker 1: you want me to do? I am telling you it
- 5:43Speaker 1: is the best way to live. Now. You can also
- 5:47Speaker 1: do it the way I did it early on. You
- 5:50Speaker 1: can just do what you want to do and see
- 5:52Speaker 1: how I go from now. And I will tell you
- 5:55Speaker 1: from personal experience, it's not going to go good. You know,
- 6:00Speaker 1: my wife and I were talking the other day. As
- 6:03Speaker 1: she said something women, I had to write it down.
- 6:06Speaker 1: She says, Steve, you know the funny thing about sin?
- 6:09Speaker 1: She says, sin casts you more than you want to
- 6:12Speaker 1: pay and causes you to stay longer than you want
- 6:15Speaker 1: to stay. I ask my word where she got them from.
- 6:20Speaker 1: She says, some old person told it to it. She says,
- 6:24Speaker 1: sin casts you more than you want to pay and
- 6:27Speaker 1: causes you to stay longer than you want to stay.
- 6:30Speaker 1: That's the problem, man, about doing what you want to do.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Because we are all sinners. Man, all of us, all
- 6:36Speaker 1: of us, every last one of us are sinners. You
- 6:38Speaker 1: will be a sinner until you die. Now, you could
- 6:41Speaker 1: be saved by grace. But you're going to be a
- 6:44Speaker 1: sinner man. You are going to make mistakes. You are
- 6:48Speaker 1: going to in your life knowingly do wrong. I bet
- 6:53Speaker 1: you will. I don't know who you think you are.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I don't know who you've been listening to. But get this,
- 6:58Speaker 1: we are sinners. We were born into a world that
- 7:03Speaker 1: is sinful. Now it's okay, it's okay, it's our world.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But we can make the best of it because we
- 7:10Speaker 1: can form a relationship with God. We can and we
- 7:13Speaker 1: can go to war with this thing, you know, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: we can win. You can actually get over. Being born
- 7:19Speaker 1: into this world is not an end all. That doesn't
- 7:23Speaker 1: mean you're doomed, nah man, because God is available to
- 7:27Speaker 1: give you life, and not only give you life, but
- 7:29Speaker 1: give it to you more abundantly. I have more of
- 7:33Speaker 1: an abundant life than I've ever had. If you took
- 7:36Speaker 1: away the finances, trust and believe, I have so many
- 7:41Speaker 1: things I could tell you that I'm grateful for. For
- 7:43Speaker 1: my wife, for my children, man, for my family, for
- 7:49Speaker 1: the few friends that I have, for the work that
- 7:53Speaker 1: I do, man for the respect that some people that
- 7:57Speaker 1: I feel around some people from the reputation I've earned.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Now I ain't cool with everybody. I got that. I'm cool.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I ain't cool with everybody. Everybody ain't cool with me.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Everybody don't like me. Man, get past that right there.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I don't care what you do. Everybody ain't gonna like you.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Some people didn't like Jesus. What did he do? What
- 8:18Speaker 1: did he do wrong to anybody? Show it to me
- 8:23Speaker 1: where he was just out there, just messing over folks,
- 8:26Speaker 1: and you could justify all that happened to him. Just
- 8:30Speaker 1: show it to me. But he knew everybody ain't gonna
- 8:33Speaker 1: like me. I just come to save y'all. You understand,
- 8:37Speaker 1: I got you. Ain't feeling me. You're gonna spit on me.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You're gonna hang me up there, You're gonna pierce my side.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You're gonna do all that to me. When you get through,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I still love you. That's a powerful statement. Man, God
- 8:49Speaker 1: will take care of you if you form this relationship
- 8:53Speaker 1: with him. He has something for you. He has a
- 8:57Speaker 1: plan for you that is beyond your imagine. Nation. He
- 9:01Speaker 1: will give you the desires of your heart. But he
- 9:03Speaker 1: also has some stuff in store for you that you're
- 9:06Speaker 1: not even asking for. That he is willing to ship
- 9:10Speaker 1: to an address that belongs to you. As long as
- 9:14Speaker 1: you stay on the right path and are trying your best,
- 9:19Speaker 1: God to ship you the blessing anywhere. Because please know
- 9:21Speaker 1: He's done it to me. I'm a living witness to
- 9:24Speaker 1: this that God will ship you blessings and you ain't
- 9:26Speaker 1: gonna be perfect. But if he know your heart, man,
- 9:29Speaker 1: if he know you trying to do better, if he
- 9:32Speaker 1: see you trying to change, if he see you trying
- 9:35Speaker 1: to get it right, he understands that you're gonna stumble
- 9:38Speaker 1: all the way through this thing. But if he know
- 9:41Speaker 1: your heart and he know you trying to get it right,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and you're doing the best you can, boy, here ships
- 9:47Speaker 1: some stuff your way. Man, you really be tripping, man,
- 9:50Speaker 1: you would really be tripping. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It's crazy, ain't it. You're listening tow ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: It is time. The Steve Harvey Morning Show is here.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Thank God Almighty for raising us up this morning, starting
- 10:09Speaker 1: us on our weight. But we're here. We're glad about it,
- 10:12Speaker 1: and we're grateful. It's Monday morning. Man, be excited about it.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I'm excited about this day. I listen to me, I
- 10:23Speaker 1: saw a Motivated series they did on me on Instagram.
- 10:27Speaker 1: And this is what I just want to share this
- 10:29Speaker 1: moment with you. When I wake up in the morning,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I say, I get to go to work. I get
- 10:35Speaker 1: to have a job. I get to play this music.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I get to greet everybody. I get to wake up
- 10:42Speaker 1: the country. Instead of waking up and saying I have
- 10:45Speaker 1: to go to work, I have to go down there today.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I have to I have to do this. When you
- 10:52Speaker 1: say I have to, you block all your blessings and
- 10:56Speaker 1: it doesn't release gratitude. Start saying I get too. I
- 11:01Speaker 1: get to go to work. I get to get in
- 11:03Speaker 1: my car today and watch the mental change that happens
- 11:07Speaker 1: in you, and watch what new blessings that you unre
- 11:11Speaker 1: that you release into your life. Watch the blessings that
- 11:15Speaker 1: you release by having a simple word change. Instead of
- 11:18Speaker 1: I got to I get to ladies and gentlemen, the
- 11:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show get to come on right now,
- 11:27Speaker 1: Sherily Strawberry. I get to say good morning to you, Steve.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Good morning. I get to introduce Carlin for River, and
- 11:36Speaker 1: I get to accept that introduction at my job. Amen,
- 11:40Speaker 1: good morning. Then I get to say Junior, I get
- 11:43Speaker 1: to say, what's up up morning? Everybody? Ain't that right? Now?
- 11:49Speaker 1: See how much better that feels? Yes, yeah, I get
- 11:55Speaker 1: to instead, I got to Yes, if it changes everything, man,
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm telling you. And I just discovered this a couple
- 12:03Speaker 1: of weeks ago. I was just saying it one day
- 12:06Speaker 1: and I said, man, that's a big difference. One I
- 12:08Speaker 1: said like that, and I just started implementing it and
- 12:11Speaker 1: it just it was nothing. You know, I'm already grateful,
- 12:14Speaker 1: but this really helps reinforce it. Ye man, yeah, it
- 12:18Speaker 1: makes it positive. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I got to
- 12:22Speaker 1: go to Africa. No, I get to go to Africa.
- 12:26Speaker 1: What I got? I gotta go to Africa? No, no, no,
- 12:30Speaker 1: I get to go to Africa. What's going on over there, Steve?
- 12:34Speaker 1: Oh man, it's interesting. So there was a marathon today.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It was a marathon and a lot of Africans in
- 12:43Speaker 1: the front. You know, they put the front runners to
- 12:45Speaker 1: top runners in the front, so they don't get behind
- 12:47Speaker 1: all these nobodies that ain't gonna win, right, they put
- 12:49Speaker 1: the top run just like at Boston New York Marathon.
- 12:51Speaker 1: They put all the top runners in the so everybody
- 12:54Speaker 1: up to Africa, right, So they finished one, two, three,
- 12:57Speaker 1: African finish right, his white guy, his zone. The news,
- 13:03Speaker 1: it says, why does it have to be in Africa?
- 13:06Speaker 1: It's unfair. They train here, they race here. They went
- 13:13Speaker 1: to the African and war, he said, But we went
- 13:15Speaker 1: in we win in New York, we in Chicago, we
- 13:20Speaker 1: went in Boston. What do you want to The white
- 13:24Speaker 1: dude finished in thirty eighth place. All right, the top
- 13:28Speaker 1: women beat him. All right, We're moving on, coming up
- 13:39Speaker 1: with thirty two minutes after the hour of Time for
- 13:41Speaker 1: Ask the clo. Right after this, you're listening show time for,
- 13:47Speaker 1: Asked the clou The Chief Love Officers, Steve Harvey is
- 13:53Speaker 1: in the building, and this one is from Stella in Louisville, Kentucky.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Stella says, I'm thirty seven years years old and I've
- 14:00Speaker 1: been married eight years, and out of the blue, my
- 14:04Speaker 1: husband confessed to cheating and said he's sorry and it
- 14:07Speaker 1: will never happen again. I can't even think of when
- 14:11Speaker 1: he would have had time to cheat, and I really
- 14:14Speaker 1: don't understand why he confessed. I went to our pastor
- 14:17Speaker 1: and he already knew. He agreed that some things are
- 14:20Speaker 1: better left unsaid. What do I do next? Do I
- 14:24Speaker 1: try to find out who the woman is or leave
- 14:26Speaker 1: well enough alone. Wow, Well, I mean, what does finding
- 14:30Speaker 1: out the woman do? Right? Okay? So I don't I
- 14:34Speaker 1: don't think you need to bring that into your world.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I'm still stuck on this food. Why he confessed that?
- 14:41Speaker 1: In the blue? Who told you this? Though not a
- 14:47Speaker 1: pastor knew. Yeah, he went to the path, but I
- 14:50Speaker 1: guess he fell bad. He wanted to get it off
- 14:52Speaker 1: his chest. So here's a good thing. Here's a good
- 14:54Speaker 1: thing to look at. He didn't have to tell, but
- 14:57Speaker 1: he felt bad enough, and he came for with you.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Obviously was something that was eating away at him, something
- 15:03Speaker 1: he regretted doing it. So there's a good side. It
- 15:07Speaker 1: ain't like you busted him. And then he confessed. He
- 15:09Speaker 1: walked in and told So I think that's okay. So
- 15:14Speaker 1: you can try to go back to like it never happened,
- 15:17Speaker 1: because you don't know who it is and he why
- 15:21Speaker 1: you tell it? I don't know why you wouldn't have
- 15:25Speaker 1: told you you wouldn't have eaten away at you, you
- 15:28Speaker 1: know if that happen. But you're saying, as a man,
- 15:30Speaker 1: you would never have confessed to it, only if you
- 15:33Speaker 1: got caught your wife. Even then Yeah, that's exactly what
- 15:38Speaker 1: when you catch me, they ain't be goun to be
- 15:40Speaker 1: no confession. What can you say you caught in the ass.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It wasn't to me nobody, No, I mean, listen to me, man,
- 15:52Speaker 1: nothing like don't nothing eat at you. I've done some
- 15:57Speaker 1: things in my life that I feel horrible about. Right,
- 16:00Speaker 1: I've done some things in my life. The moment I
- 16:02Speaker 1: did it, I wished I had to die. I've done
- 16:04Speaker 1: some things that I went to do it no, and
- 16:05Speaker 1: I shouldn't do it. Yeah, exactly. Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I've been coming here and tell it though it Yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 1: between you and your guys to the grave. I'm gonna
- 16:17Speaker 1: ask for forgiveness. He gonna whip me about it. Now.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You know you're gonna get whipped about it. Yeah, you know.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Then you have to forgive yourself, and then you don't
- 16:25Speaker 1: want God forgive you got to give yourself, ain't I
- 16:27Speaker 1: don't need you know, But I don't need everybody forgive it,
- 16:29Speaker 1: right or judging? Now everybody you're you're everybody's not the lord. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:38Speaker 1: all right, my shoe I ain't I don't know who
- 16:40Speaker 1: she that is. That ain't my hand I know I
- 16:43Speaker 1: got one on right now. I don't know how that
- 16:47Speaker 1: lipstick got on my lip. Yeah, but I better not
- 16:51Speaker 1: find out who did it, I tell you. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I see sah. All right, So you think the wife
- 17:03Speaker 1: should just leave well enough alone. Well, I'm just saying,
- 17:06Speaker 1: you gotta you got. You're gonna have to go in
- 17:08Speaker 1: there and talk with the pastor so y'all can work
- 17:11Speaker 1: through it and so you can get some closure to it.
- 17:14Speaker 1: But I mean, the good thing of it is he
- 17:16Speaker 1: voluntarily told you, so it obviously was something that was
- 17:18Speaker 1: eating away at him and he feels horrible about it.
- 17:21Speaker 1: That's a good thing, all right, Josephine and Tampa as
- 17:24Speaker 1: we move on, says, my daughter is twenty two years
- 17:27Speaker 1: old and she's told me that she dances part time
- 17:30Speaker 1: at a gentleman's club. She said she didn't want me
- 17:32Speaker 1: to find out on the streets. She still lives with me,
- 17:35Speaker 1: so of course she doesn't need the money, and I
- 17:38Speaker 1: never expected her to be into this sort of thing. Um.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I don't approve of this, but I don't want to
- 17:45Speaker 1: be that parent that puts her down. How should I
- 17:48Speaker 1: handle this? Well, you're gonna praise it for you don't
- 17:53Speaker 1: want to put her down. You don't want to try
- 17:56Speaker 1: to talk her out of it. You don't. You don't
- 17:58Speaker 1: want to show her the pit falls of that lifestyle,
- 18:01Speaker 1: because that awesome pitfalls too. You don't want to go
- 18:04Speaker 1: in there and say, you know, I would, I would
- 18:05Speaker 1: love for you to think more of yourself. I would
- 18:08Speaker 1: have hateful what's happening to you now to haunt you
- 18:11Speaker 1: later on in life. But you want to make more
- 18:13Speaker 1: serious decisions, and something that happened or somebody saw you
- 18:16Speaker 1: at this club prohibit you from further in your life.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It can prohibit jobs later on that you may need
- 18:22Speaker 1: because you can't stay up on that stage rest of
- 18:24Speaker 1: your life. It may stop you from having a man
- 18:27Speaker 1: of your dreams because he may not approve the former lifestyle.
- 18:29Speaker 1: You don't want to say that too. I try. I
- 18:33Speaker 1: would at least giving a shot. Okay, well, what time
- 18:37Speaker 1: you're coming in tonight? He needed me to play the
- 18:42Speaker 1: food on the stove. I make her feel bad though.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I go down now and the fold it is hard.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Strip in front of your mama is very different. Your
- 18:59Speaker 1: mama said that church dress on all my little friend
- 19:04Speaker 1: in her head. She got a church friend and it
- 19:08Speaker 1: is gentlemen. Bubbles all right now, bubbles problem. Oh, I
- 19:17Speaker 1: was shamed. That's my baby she got she got a
- 19:23Speaker 1: bag of change. She ain't throwing dollars. Damn my baby.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I do how bars her get her? Baba? What you
- 19:35Speaker 1: come down here? I just wanted to see your work, girl.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I had it just like that too, Chip off the
- 19:44Speaker 1: old block. Who's an all right judge? Phine? I hope
- 19:48Speaker 1: that helped you out in Tampa. This is from Lady
- 19:52Speaker 1: and Little Rock. She says, I'm having an all white
- 19:54Speaker 1: party for my fortieth next month, and I invited a
- 19:56Speaker 1: lot of men, including my sister, including my sister's ex
- 20:00Speaker 1: husband because we're still friends. Um. He told my sister
- 20:04Speaker 1: he was coming, and she called me and told me
- 20:06Speaker 1: I needed to uninvite him. I've told her it's time
- 20:09Speaker 1: for her to move on and it shouldn't matter if
- 20:11Speaker 1: he's there or not. My sisters told me to choose
- 20:13Speaker 1: between her or her ex husband. Of course I'll always
- 20:16Speaker 1: choose her. But why is she being so patty? She
- 20:19Speaker 1: ain't being patty? You being stupid? What your sister's ex
- 20:23Speaker 1: husband to the white party? Fault for what? Now? Unless
- 20:28Speaker 1: unless he white? This I think they mean clothing, Sarah,
- 20:35Speaker 1: you know that? Oh White, fine, do you get a point?
- 20:40Speaker 1: I mean, really, what you do want? Wrong for inviting
- 20:44Speaker 1: to dude? He should never be your sister's ex right right, yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 1: all right, listen, thanks cielo Um coming up next. Church
- 20:54Speaker 1: complaints with Reverend Motown and Junior coming up right after this.
- 20:59Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 21:03Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Miss Anna standing by with
- 21:06Speaker 1: our national news and uh, we'll also have some entertainment
- 21:10Speaker 1: news at the top of the hour. But right now,
- 21:12Speaker 1: time for a little smiles and laughter. Church complaints with
- 21:15Speaker 1: Reverend Motown and Deacon Junior, special guest. Deacon today are
- 21:24Speaker 1: dipping below my level of continuity. Oh, I only work
- 21:34Speaker 1: with deaf jam but he's not here, so we're bringing
- 21:39Speaker 1: on a sub junior. Oh what do they call a
- 21:46Speaker 1: practicing Uh? Middle stood? What is you? Deacon killed or pastor?
- 21:54Speaker 1: I am in trained. I am in a theological seminary
- 21:58Speaker 1: school here to school. He ain't him out yet, so
- 22:03Speaker 1: we don't expect much from him. So he's a student school.
- 22:07Speaker 1: He's a student class. We all have to step in
- 22:14Speaker 1: from time to time. If I see these announcements not
- 22:18Speaker 1: being done correct, Ladies and gentleman, a pastor in training
- 22:23Speaker 1: call him a pit. Ladies and gentlemen, junior, thank you
- 22:29Speaker 1: for motown. These are the complaints for this week. Uh,
- 22:34Speaker 1: people have to first of all, we're going to have
- 22:37Speaker 1: to develop more of a church tone in your voice.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You can't you can't do church bitch and sound like
- 22:48Speaker 1: you doing just announcements at the school. That's the class
- 22:57Speaker 1: he was taking. I'm gonna GoAhead it, but I have
- 23:00Speaker 1: learned so far sometime today. Now the complaints today, Reverend
- 23:08Speaker 1: follow as follow. People have decided to come back to church.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Will you be getting new communion wafers? Because if you
- 23:19Speaker 1: don't the ones we had a nasstale is what they ask.
- 23:23Speaker 1: We're going to eat the wafers we have because of
- 23:29Speaker 1: what it represents. Christ is old. Therefold. These crackers is old.
- 23:40Speaker 1: The cracker, the wafer represents the body the Christ. Christ
- 23:48Speaker 1: is way older than these crackers. Quick complaining about the
- 23:52Speaker 1: date that's on the crackers when we need to celebrate
- 23:55Speaker 1: the date that He has risen. Amen. Now amen, it
- 24:02Speaker 1: is that's complaint. When we get back to the church,
- 24:08Speaker 1: can't we have alto call and just have them text
- 24:12Speaker 1: just to save on time because they're taken too long. No,
- 24:17Speaker 1: alto call is not testimony or junior deacon boy. Listen,
- 24:22Speaker 1: alto call. That's when we have a calling. When we
- 24:25Speaker 1: open the doors to the church and were invited new
- 24:29Speaker 1: members and people who want to accept God in their heart.
- 24:34Speaker 1: That's what that is. They have. You obviously are in
- 24:37Speaker 1: the beginning year or seminary Theological college fresh year. You
- 24:42Speaker 1: you might not get a degree unless you learn something quick.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Now me personally like right now, I don't see you
- 24:50Speaker 1: coming out on first year. Listen, ain't cut a lot
- 25:00Speaker 1: of pressure first here, you know. That's okay, though, Pastor,
- 25:03Speaker 1: we have we have some problem. Uh. People don't like
- 25:06Speaker 1: the fact that you are not uh doing the baptismals.
- 25:10Speaker 1: You are having contactless baptismals, which is coming very hard
- 25:14Speaker 1: for people understand when you want them to go under No,
- 25:17Speaker 1: this is this is all I'm saying. We're doing zoom services.
- 25:22Speaker 1: So the baptisms have to be zoom. Your water in
- 25:25Speaker 1: your bath cool. And when I say three, dunk yourself
- 25:28Speaker 1: down for the over year that they ain't coming up
- 25:31Speaker 1: on time, that ain't got nothing to do with me. Yeah,
- 25:35Speaker 1: the problem is everybody don't have hot water. Well, then
- 25:38Speaker 1: you got to wait till we got in our water
- 25:40Speaker 1: in the baptismal pool ain't ain't hot either. The water
- 25:44Speaker 1: down at the river wasn't hot either. Y'all got to
- 25:48Speaker 1: quit complaining. Now when I say three, When I say three,
- 25:54Speaker 1: that's it. Gotta go. Okay. Here's another complaint, Uh, the
- 26:00Speaker 1: motorized wheel chair praise dance ministry. Uh. They are saying
- 26:04Speaker 1: that they need more money for better batteries so everybody
- 26:08Speaker 1: can make it through the routine. You have to help them.
- 26:12Speaker 1: If we I told you not to allow them perform
- 26:17Speaker 1: or group bread, they have to They want to participate
- 26:23Speaker 1: in the church. Every time they perform, we got to
- 26:26Speaker 1: go unhook some spokes because they didn't got tangled up together.
- 26:30Speaker 1: We're not doing this every week? What's wrong with them?
- 26:34Speaker 1: They want to be a part two? They can be
- 26:36Speaker 1: a part of it. Just do it in the parking
- 26:39Speaker 1: lot where you got more space through that old halftime
- 26:44Speaker 1: on sadness at the car wah. Also they ask it
- 26:48Speaker 1: if you don't mind, also, could you also have a
- 26:50Speaker 1: church supply seatbelts so he could slide out the chairs
- 26:54Speaker 1: as well? Sliding out your chair is a weight issue.
- 27:00Speaker 1: There ain't got nothing to do with a built Now
- 27:04Speaker 1: we're gonna be like Softwest. Now you're gonna start charging
- 27:08Speaker 1: double there it is and then you know, just like
- 27:13Speaker 1: airports had to give black seatbelt extensions. We don't have
- 27:18Speaker 1: money for that. Yes, come on now, mold old mo
- 27:24Speaker 1: mo more Reverend like, yes, sir, thank you. Red. Also Red,
- 27:30Speaker 1: we're asking right now have can you please? Uh? They
- 27:34Speaker 1: are asking members asking could you please widen the middle
- 27:37Speaker 1: detectives at the front of the church as we come
- 27:40Speaker 1: back into service. Everybody's have COVID weight. They're not getting
- 27:44Speaker 1: in like they lorn the wood. They just ask, could
- 27:46Speaker 1: you please widen the middle weight game doing covid lockdown.
- 27:53Speaker 1: We're not gonna be able to why I'm not gonna
- 27:56Speaker 1: be able to wide need metal detectives called. We gonna
- 27:59Speaker 1: have the money for that, okay, realf Uh. Also we're
- 28:03Speaker 1: asking pastor, Uh, I'm sorry, Pastor motown. We are also
- 28:07Speaker 1: asking that the MCA has a complaint. This is the
- 28:11Speaker 1: mean Christian Association. Uh. They having a zoom meeting and
- 28:15Speaker 1: they will not tolerate any tardiness even from you. Ref
- 28:19Speaker 1: m O. The MCA, the mean what Christian Association. I'm
- 28:25Speaker 1: not coming down there, no way. They ain't got to
- 28:28Speaker 1: worry about me and coming late. I'm not coming at all.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Tell them I said that m and rights from from
- 28:36Speaker 1: one mean asked Christian to the other. How about that? Oh,
- 28:41Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be empty because they might want
- 28:43Speaker 1: to hear no mad message gets up. Oh, I'm gonna
- 28:50Speaker 1: have to agrade your performance to then I'm gonna have
- 28:53Speaker 1: to give you all or low. Mar Let me ask
- 28:57Speaker 1: you something. Was you called well? Did you just go
- 29:01Speaker 1: down there? Now? I went down hand? I thought you
- 29:08Speaker 1: take some time off to you get called coming up
- 29:14Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Entertainment and national news.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Our Kelly's sex trafficking trial is finally on the books,
- 29:27Speaker 1: it's on the calendar, and he's been moved to New
- 29:30Speaker 1: York City to face the charges. Kelly faces five charges
- 29:34Speaker 1: of racketeering and four counts of violating the Man Act
- 29:37Speaker 1: when the trial opens on August ninth of this year.
- 29:40Speaker 1: The Man Act is a century old statute that criminalizes
- 29:45Speaker 1: adult for taking miners across state lines for sexual purposes.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Several of Kelly's accusers, each identified only as Jane Doe,
- 29:53Speaker 1: are expected to testify against him. Kelly has been incarcerated
- 29:57Speaker 1: in Chicago since July of twenty nineteen, but that federal
- 30:01Speaker 1: case involves different charges, including child pornography and obstruction of justice.
- 30:06Speaker 1: That trial had been tentatively scheduled for September, but it's
- 30:10Speaker 1: unclear now when it will unfold. WHOA okay, man? Good? Yeah, good?
- 30:22Speaker 1: This is this is serious, serious justice for the victim
- 30:28Speaker 1: moving when they move you they're serious, man? And then
- 30:34Speaker 1: are they going to have another trial in Chicago? Yeah,
- 30:38Speaker 1: they're gonna get it. Sounds I don't have a trial
- 30:40Speaker 1: where he committed a crime. Yeah there you go. Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Sometimes if you get enough time, they don't have another
- 30:49Speaker 1: one sometime. But it just appears on what happens in
- 30:53Speaker 1: New York, I think. M But but they're gonna want
- 30:58Speaker 1: to see justice everywhere. Pretty serious challeges, Yes, yes, And
- 31:03Speaker 1: the women are coming forth to testify, you know, against him.
- 31:07Speaker 1: So this is very serious, very very serious. He could
- 31:11Speaker 1: be doing more serious time. All right, time for tell
- 31:15Speaker 1: me something good. We're gonna flip it. Here. Here's some
- 31:18Speaker 1: good news from three guys named Steve, there's Stevie, there's Steven,
- 31:23Speaker 1: and there's Stefan Wilson. They do almost everything together, Steve,
- 31:28Speaker 1: including graduating college at the same time. The triplets are
- 31:31Speaker 1: graduating from Louisiana's Grambling State University and they all majored
- 31:36Speaker 1: in biology with plans to become doctors. The trio has
- 31:40Speaker 1: been overcoming challenges since being born premature, even schools suggesting
- 31:45Speaker 1: and rolling the boys in special education courses. And they said,
- 31:49Speaker 1: if it wasn't for my mother, she's the one that said, note,
- 31:53Speaker 1: those boys got talent. When we graduated high school, we
- 31:57Speaker 1: proved them wrong. Now we're getting ready to walk and
- 32:00Speaker 1: prove them wrong, Stefan said. Ultimately, the Wilson Triplet's biggest
- 32:04Speaker 1: goal is to be role models for their community and
- 32:07Speaker 1: in the medical field. After all representation matters. Stevie says, congratulations.
- 32:13Speaker 1: We gotta say it from our Steve Harvey to you guys.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Will Ye that's big man, Steve cracking that barrier. Baby,
- 32:24Speaker 1: but three Steves. Yeah, Stevie Wonder and I both thank you. Yes,
- 32:37Speaker 1: congratulations to them. That is wonderful. And Stevie, Stephen and Stefan, Yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 1: they had a mom that believed in them. You know.
- 32:50Speaker 1: That's it, right, that's it. M Yeah, black models, love
- 32:55Speaker 1: black parenting and just you know, trying to make our
- 32:59Speaker 1: kids win and be productive. It's a great story. We need.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I love that their biggest goal is to be role
- 33:06Speaker 1: models in their community and representation is important to them.
- 33:10Speaker 1: So congratulations again and thank you mom for a job
- 33:14Speaker 1: well done. Yeah all right, yeah, it is time for
- 33:19Speaker 1: today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, miss and trip, thank you
- 33:23Speaker 1: very much. Like going on. Closing arguments are expected to
- 33:27Speaker 1: begin later on this morning. In Minneapolis and the Derek
- 33:29Speaker 1: Chauvin George Floyd murder trial. The defense presented only a
- 33:32Speaker 1: few witnesses. One of them was a guy named doctor
- 33:34Speaker 1: David Fowler. Fowler was born in Zimbabwe when it was
- 33:37Speaker 1: Rhodesia and was educated in South Africa during Apartheit, and
- 33:41Speaker 1: he was their main medical witness. Then George Chauvin himself
- 33:46Speaker 1: officially refused to testify. Of course, predictably, the city of
- 33:49Speaker 1: Minneapolis and some other municipalities around the country have been
- 33:52Speaker 1: put on alert, with the National Guard called up. Meanwhile,
- 33:55Speaker 1: only a few miles away, demonstrations continue in the community
- 33:59Speaker 1: of Brooklyn Center over the killing of young Dante Wright,
- 34:02Speaker 1: again by a white cop, this time of twenty six
- 34:04Speaker 1: year veteran, who claims she thought she was tasing him.
- 34:07Speaker 1: California Democratic Congressman Vaccine Waters came out to support the
- 34:10Speaker 1: community over the weekend. We have to persist then, calling
- 34:14Speaker 1: for justice. We have to let people know that we're
- 34:17Speaker 1: not going to be satisfied unless we get justice in
- 34:21Speaker 1: these patients. But for people who still don't get an attorney.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump lays it out on ABC this week. She
- 34:28Speaker 1: claims that she was trying to pull the taser, and
- 34:31Speaker 1: even though you have the gun on the dominant side
- 34:34Speaker 1: of the taser on the non dominant side, and the
- 34:37Speaker 1: fact that the gun weighs two and a half pounds
- 34:41Speaker 1: and the taser weighs eight ounces, but even tasing him,
- 34:45Speaker 1: it's still an excessive use of force. Whether it's George
- 34:49Speaker 1: Floyd with a twenty dollars allegation of a counterfeit bill
- 34:53Speaker 1: that should have been a ticket, and certainly this pretext
- 34:57Speaker 1: your stop for an allege expired tag should have been
- 35:01Speaker 1: a ticket. And we see when it's our white brothers
- 35:03Speaker 1: and as sisters, they give them the benefit of the doubt.
- 35:06Speaker 1: And the benefit of professional of them. And when it
- 35:08Speaker 1: says black people, we can't even get the benefit of humanity,
- 35:14Speaker 1: we will see. That's Ben Crump and Chicago. A Cook
- 35:16Speaker 1: County assistant DA placed on administrative lead because the state's attorney,
- 35:19Speaker 1: Kim Fox, says he failed to fully present the facts
- 35:22Speaker 1: during a bond hearing last month in the case of
- 35:24Speaker 1: thirteen year old Adam Toledo. State Attorney Fox says the
- 35:27Speaker 1: ADA failed to mension that the teenager was unarmed when
- 35:30Speaker 1: a Chicago police officer shot and killed him. Assistant States
- 35:33Speaker 1: Attorney James Murphy told the judge that Toledo had a
- 35:36Speaker 1: gun and that he was still holding it when officers
- 35:38Speaker 1: Stillman told him to turn around and drop it. Bodycam
- 35:41Speaker 1: video shows the seventh grader dropping the gun and facing
- 35:45Speaker 1: the officer with both hands up and empty. Officer Eric
- 35:48Speaker 1: Stillman is on an administrative leave. A white teenager who
- 35:51Speaker 1: police in Indiapolis State murdered eight people at the FedEx
- 35:54Speaker 1: warehouse last week before taking his own life, identified his
- 35:57Speaker 1: nineteen year old former FedEx employee, Brandon Scott Hall, who
- 36:00Speaker 1: was actually interviewed by the FBI last year after his
- 36:03Speaker 1: parents told him he might try to commit suicide. Four
- 36:05Speaker 1: of his victims were from the Sikh community. Now back
- 36:08Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show, all right, Steve.
- 36:13Speaker 1: So you're over in the Motherland, um to do Family Few,
- 36:18Speaker 1: the Family Few version, second season, second season, second season. Yeah,
- 36:23Speaker 1: and everybody knows this. It's a business because I'm not
- 36:28Speaker 1: just over here doing it just to be doing TV. Yeah.
- 36:32Speaker 1: I bought the international rights to Family Few. Big business,
- 36:37Speaker 1: and so I'm over here as though, you know, owner,
- 36:40Speaker 1: producer of the show and star. Don't forget star. Yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 1: well I got hosted. But it's just I really want
- 36:49Speaker 1: to say that everybody to look into it. That's listening
- 36:51Speaker 1: to me. Uh look, I know you're gonna price of
- 36:55Speaker 1: the tickets are expensive, I know, but there's deals everywhere
- 36:58Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be working this soon as things get
- 37:00Speaker 1: back open with the Tourism board over here in South
- 37:03Speaker 1: Africa to put together some packages. I've been to Ghana,
- 37:07Speaker 1: I have some things available card to do in Ghana
- 37:11Speaker 1: as well as Botswana. But I want everything African American
- 37:16Speaker 1: to put this on your list of places to go,
- 37:20Speaker 1: and I want you to put this on the top
- 37:22Speaker 1: of the mist because this is whole. I cannot describe
- 37:25Speaker 1: to you the feeling that you have when you come here.
- 37:29Speaker 1: I can't even tell you what it's like the Morning
- 37:33Speaker 1: Show we went once before, Yes, you know, And I
- 37:39Speaker 1: want I want every African American to know what it
- 37:43Speaker 1: feels like to wake up and not be a minority.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I want you to know that. I want you to
- 37:50Speaker 1: see what it feels like to walk past all the
- 37:54Speaker 1: police and you don't have to tighten up. I want
- 37:57Speaker 1: black men to know what it feels like to be
- 38:00Speaker 1: in a car and see policemen and not tighten up. Now,
- 38:04Speaker 1: at first, you're gonna tighten up because it's innately in us,
- 38:07Speaker 1: Like I automatically when I see police cars, I get it,
- 38:10Speaker 1: Like even if one pull up next to me and
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm in my car, I for some reason, just over
- 38:17Speaker 1: the years, and I'm just being honest, I tightened up.
- 38:20Speaker 1: They might wave and say hello, but I just I
- 38:22Speaker 1: tightened up. Anybody, you know, to have people look at
- 38:27Speaker 1: you for the and judge you for the color of yours,
- 38:30Speaker 1: it's amazing. And then to see cities like Capetown and
- 38:34Speaker 1: Durban and Barcewana. I mean, I'm just talking about it.
- 38:38Speaker 1: In South Africa, and how full what they are. You know, now,
- 38:42Speaker 1: this ain't Vegas, you know, not every hotel is opulent,
- 38:46Speaker 1: but they got really, really really nice hotels over here.
- 38:50Speaker 1: All the major chains are here. It's not what you've
- 38:53Speaker 1: been told it is. You can come over here and shop.
- 38:55Speaker 1: They got fashion malls with all the fashion houses in it.
- 38:59Speaker 1: They have every thing. You know. You won't go to
- 39:00Speaker 1: Louis Vitown. You can go to Louisviton, but if you
- 39:02Speaker 1: want to really go and enjoy, come over here and
- 39:05Speaker 1: culturally shop, go to the villages in the in the
- 39:09Speaker 1: areas that they have where you can buy things of
- 39:12Speaker 1: the culture. Come over here to eat at McDonald's and
- 39:16Speaker 1: buy no damn Louiverton. Come over here and participating in culture.
- 39:20Speaker 1: You will love it. You will absolutely love it. Please
- 39:22Speaker 1: everybody put on your bucketness absolutely see sure. All right,
- 39:26Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 39:29Speaker 1: closing arguments today at the Derek Schauvin trial. We'll talk
- 39:33Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening to the Stave
- 39:36Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, what's going on now? Here?
- 39:40Speaker 1: We go closing arguments in the Derek Chauvin murder trial
- 39:45Speaker 1: our schedule for today, following nearly three weeks of witness testimony.
- 39:49Speaker 1: According to AP News, today, the prosecutors will draw on
- 39:53Speaker 1: expert testimony, the video, and other evidence to explain how
- 39:58Speaker 1: White officer Derek Chauvin's action on May twenty fifth, when
- 40:02Speaker 1: he pinned George Floyd's neck to the pavement with his
- 40:05Speaker 1: knee for nearly nine and a half minutes, were quote
- 40:07Speaker 1: a substantial cause of Floyd's death. That's the prosecutor's job,
- 40:12Speaker 1: and they'll highlight testimony from top Minneapolis police officers and
- 40:17Speaker 1: officials and outside use of force experts that an objectively
- 40:22Speaker 1: reasonable officer would not have used that kind of force. Meanwhile,
- 40:27Speaker 1: on the defense side, defense attorney Eric Nelson will try
- 40:31Speaker 1: to persuade jurors that elements of testimony he elicited from
- 40:34Speaker 1: prosecution witnesses and his own witnesses add up to reasonable
- 40:39Speaker 1: doubt over what caused Floyd's death and whether Chauvin is responsible.
- 40:44Speaker 1: So those are the two opposing sides there was. I
- 40:47Speaker 1: have one question to be in closing for anybody saying
- 40:50Speaker 1: that they don't think that they're trying to lay reasonable
- 40:55Speaker 1: doubt that this man's knee on this man's neck was
- 40:59Speaker 1: not the cause of his death. Let me ask anybody
- 41:02Speaker 1: who saw the video, do you think that that man
- 41:05Speaker 1: that you saw in the video in the store, do
- 41:10Speaker 1: you think that nine minutes and forty six seconds later,
- 41:16Speaker 1: based on what you saw in the store, did he
- 41:18Speaker 1: look like he was about to die? No? You mean
- 41:24Speaker 1: prior to yeah, as saying yeah, yeah, right, What what
- 41:31Speaker 1: did this man look like in the store that would
- 41:33Speaker 1: make you think nine minutes, if everything had been just
- 41:37Speaker 1: left with view got in this car, that nine minutes
- 41:40Speaker 1: and forty six seconds later, he'll be dead. So how
- 41:43Speaker 1: are you gonna try to tell me that his knee
- 41:47Speaker 1: on his neck was not the cause of his death
- 41:50Speaker 1: when if he had never put his knee on his neck,
- 41:53Speaker 1: this man probably thousands put thousands will still be living. Well,
- 42:00Speaker 1: you cause the death. Yeah, they tried everything. Exhausted. I
- 42:05Speaker 1: can't breathe, drugs. I'm gonna tell you. Do you know
- 42:09Speaker 1: the number one cause of death in this country not
- 42:14Speaker 1: breathe disease? Yeah, Now, when you stopped breathing, Oh, that's
- 42:19Speaker 1: the number one cause. Once you quit breathing, IM about
- 42:25Speaker 1: assure you, yeah, that's it. You're saying, Yeah, people can't
- 42:31Speaker 1: beat canceled people didn't beat people didn't beat dementia. People
- 42:35Speaker 1: didn't beat long disease. People can beat heart disease. You
- 42:40Speaker 1: can't beat not breathing. Yeah, for that long anyway, I
- 42:45Speaker 1: just you know, and we all saw it. We all
- 42:49Speaker 1: saw it on the tape, So I mean, yeah, it is.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I don't mean to cut you off. Go ahead, finnish
- 42:54Speaker 1: your statement. No, no, no, go ahead, you can finish.
- 42:57Speaker 1: I'm just saying, we all saw on the tape. We
- 43:00Speaker 1: just hold it. You can go ahead. Yeah, I was
- 43:02Speaker 1: just saying, this is it's also about racism and the
- 43:05Speaker 1: prosecution here going to bring that up too. It's part
- 43:09Speaker 1: of that. And it's just with the jury, with them deliberating.
- 43:12Speaker 1: This is just common sense. Now, you get in this
- 43:15Speaker 1: room and you see this man had his knee on
- 43:18Speaker 1: this man's neck for nine and a half minutes and
- 43:20Speaker 1: he died as a result of that period period. That's
- 43:24Speaker 1: the end of this. You know, his attorney though he
- 43:27Speaker 1: did it. Yeah, you're right, he did. His attorney for
- 43:30Speaker 1: the tape. Yeah, this country has a thing that says
- 43:37Speaker 1: you're innocent into proving guilt, and into proving guilty, it
- 43:41Speaker 1: has to be beyond the shadow of a doubt. So
- 43:44Speaker 1: all the defense's job is is to show reasonable reason,
- 43:48Speaker 1: abut make you wonder about anything. So they whole defense
- 43:53Speaker 1: is not that he didn't kill them, but maybe he
- 43:56Speaker 1: died from something else from maybe if he hadn't had
- 44:00Speaker 1: Fenton al maybe if it's right here, No, no, no, man, Yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 1: why didn't he take the stand? Explain your story? Explain
- 44:08Speaker 1: what wrong? Yeah, he played but he yea yeah, Now
- 44:13Speaker 1: carbon monoxide got something to do with all. Well, that's
- 44:16Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, all right, we'll be watching, for sure,
- 44:21Speaker 1: we'll be watching. We're gonna switch gears um and coming
- 44:25Speaker 1: up next it is Junior in for the nephew with
- 44:28Speaker 1: the prank phone call. Right after this you're listening to
- 44:33Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour, right
- 44:36Speaker 1: about four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today,
- 44:39Speaker 1: subject I don't want your step daddy, And we'll get
- 44:44Speaker 1: into that. We'll get into that. See it's a little
- 44:49Speaker 1: bit Yeah. Right now, Junior is in for the nephew
- 44:54Speaker 1: with today's prank phone call. What you got for us, Junior?
- 44:57Speaker 1: Your funeral arrangements? Yeah, funeral, I don't I don't know
- 45:01Speaker 1: what This is about the map you just left and
- 45:04Speaker 1: where is he? He ain't coming work to day either.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Look at my face, Junior. You know he worked. And
- 45:11Speaker 1: let's see what he say that, Junior, because you know, yeah,
- 45:15Speaker 1: it worked out in Birmingham. Yeah, excuse me, I'm in Africa. Yeah.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Then flew all way over here taking shows all day
- 45:27Speaker 1: and I'm doing radio. No, no, no, no, come on
- 45:33Speaker 1: play no no no. I don't care about the little
- 45:36Speaker 1: shows you're doing setting people down there. Hello. Hello, I'm

- 49:12Speaker 1: Which ever one? I mean? I don't, I don't. I mean,
- 49:16Speaker 1: I won't. I don't want. I don't, I don't. I
- 49:17Speaker 1: don't know. We even be you know what I'm saying.

- 49:26Speaker 1: But you would have a funerals of men. I tell
- 49:32Speaker 1: you that they got the right law. You got the
- 49:34Speaker 1: right one. I tell you, man, I'm not watch watch mister.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I mean, since I have you on the phone, is
- 49:43Speaker 1: can I ask you? What? Is it all right? If
- 49:45Speaker 1: I ask you something? Sir? May you want to ask me? Bro?
- 49:48Speaker 1: I mean, since since it is your funeral, would you
- 49:51Speaker 1: would you like the light blue lining or the white

- 54:16Speaker 1: Gentlemen's time for the Strawberry Letter with my good friend
- 54:19Speaker 1: Shirley Strasbery. All right, thank you, junior. Subject, I don't
- 54:23Speaker 1: want your stepdaddy. Dear Stephen, Shirley, I need your help.
- 54:28Speaker 1: My husband's mother is separated from her husband and she's
- 54:32Speaker 1: staying with us temporarily while she works out her marital issues. Meanwhile,
- 54:37Speaker 1: she's been up late at night entertaining a younger man.
- 54:40Speaker 1: My husband has seen it with his own eyes, but
- 54:43Speaker 1: he doesn't know how to confront her about it. My
- 54:46Speaker 1: husband said, we need to focus on getting her back
- 54:49Speaker 1: with her husband so she can leave our home. He's
- 54:53Speaker 1: asked me to help out by talking to his mom's husband,
- 54:56Speaker 1: which is his stepdad. He doesn't have a good relationship
- 54:59Speaker 1: with the stepdad because he is a whore. He slept
- 55:03Speaker 1: with two of my mother in law's friends before they met,
- 55:06Speaker 1: and she knew that and still married him. Anyway. They
- 55:09Speaker 1: are separated now because my mother in law came home
- 55:12Speaker 1: one day and another woman was sitting in the kitchen
- 55:15Speaker 1: with him smoking a cigarette in her house. He's so
- 55:18Speaker 1: foul and we wish she'd divorced him, especially since she's
- 55:21Speaker 1: already started dating again. Yeah, the goal was to get
- 55:26Speaker 1: her out of my house, so I agreed to talk
- 55:28Speaker 1: to a stepdad. I went to their house and I
- 55:31Speaker 1: took my eleven year old daughter because he has said
- 55:34Speaker 1: a few inappropriate things to me before. He offered me
- 55:38Speaker 1: a drink and I declined. He told me he's happier
- 55:41Speaker 1: without my mother in law there and he wants a divorce.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I reminded him that it is her house and he
- 55:47Speaker 1: needs to move out. He got upset with me and
- 55:50Speaker 1: put me out. Next thing I know, he told my
- 55:53Speaker 1: husband that I came over there ready to do a
- 55:55Speaker 1: lot more than talk. My husband had the audacity to
- 55:58Speaker 1: ask me to tell him exactly what happened, as if
- 56:02Speaker 1: he believed his stepdaddy. I'm furious at my husband. This
- 56:06Speaker 1: had nothing to do with me, and my husband has
- 56:09Speaker 1: put me in the middle of it. What to do?
- 56:11Speaker 1: Please help? Well, first of all, you let your husband
- 56:14Speaker 1: put you in the middle of it, and this is
- 56:16Speaker 1: a whole mess right here. Now. I know your gut.
- 56:19Speaker 1: I know your gut told you to stay out of
- 56:22Speaker 1: it when your husband first asked you. But the most
- 56:26Speaker 1: urgent thing was to get your mother in law out
- 56:28Speaker 1: of your house. So you went along. You agreed to
- 56:30Speaker 1: talk to your stepdaddy, and stepdaddy is the one who
- 56:33Speaker 1: needs to go. Clearly, he's the culprit in all of this.
- 56:36Speaker 1: He doesn't get along with anyone. He doesn't get along
- 56:38Speaker 1: with his wife, his stepson, and he doesn't get along
- 56:42Speaker 1: with you. He puts you and your daughter out he's
- 56:46Speaker 1: the one who had the woman in the house, so okay,
- 56:49Speaker 1: it's just disrespectful smoking a cigarette. Talking to step daddy
- 56:54Speaker 1: didn't work, so now it's time to talk to his mom,
- 56:58Speaker 1: his son, her son. Your husband is afraid to confront her,
- 57:04Speaker 1: and you guys got to talk to him. Though, fear
- 57:07Speaker 1: or not, you guys still have to talk to him.
- 57:09Speaker 1: I would say, don't talk to her about entertaining the
- 57:13Speaker 1: younger man because she'll only get defensive. Okay, talk to
- 57:17Speaker 1: her about going back to her own house. That he
- 57:20Speaker 1: should be the one leaving, not her. Why should she
- 57:22Speaker 1: allow him to make her leave her own home. You
- 57:25Speaker 1: guys got to also throw in the fact that you
- 57:27Speaker 1: have a young and impressionable daughter, her granddaughter, that doesn't
- 57:31Speaker 1: need to be seeing her grandmother with another man. This
- 57:34Speaker 1: is crazy. These are all the reasons her stepdaddy or
- 57:39Speaker 1: his stepdaddy needs to go and mother in law needs
- 57:42Speaker 1: to file for a divorce from this clown and move on.
- 57:45Speaker 1: But first, of course, she needs to move out of
- 57:47Speaker 1: your house, because next is going to start affecting your
- 57:51Speaker 1: marriage if it hasn't already. I mean, your husband is
- 57:53Speaker 1: questioning you right now about what happened with his stepdad.
- 57:57Speaker 1: That's not a good look. Does he believe his step Yeah?
- 58:00Speaker 1: You don't want these problems, You really really don't. So
- 58:03Speaker 1: you guys gotta seriously set her down and have a
- 58:06Speaker 1: serious conversation with her. Steve, this is crazy, Yeah it is.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Now let me show you why. I think. The whole
- 58:18Speaker 1: letter just really explains itself to me. I don't know
- 58:23Speaker 1: why she even wrote us, but I do understand why
- 58:25Speaker 1: she wrote us. But let me help put just be
- 58:28Speaker 1: able to solve her own problem. They're not getting back together.
- 58:31Speaker 1: Let's just understand that. Okay, they're not getting back together,
- 58:36Speaker 1: and they don't want to. She's staying with y'all temporarily
- 58:39Speaker 1: in you and your husband's house. Your mother his mother
- 58:43Speaker 1: that's separated from her husband, and now she's downstairs late
- 58:49Speaker 1: at night entertaining a younger man. Like going on. She
- 58:55Speaker 1: had moved out and got busy at y'all's house. Okay,
- 59:01Speaker 1: your husband has seen it with his own eyes, but
- 59:05Speaker 1: he don't know how to go to his mom about it.
- 59:08Speaker 1: I was thinking right away, man, he's gotta mess him
- 59:11Speaker 1: up because he won't hearing her daddy back together. But
- 59:13Speaker 1: now he don't. My husband says that they need to
- 59:16Speaker 1: focus on getting her back with her husband so he
- 59:19Speaker 1: can leave our home. But that's really not the best move,
- 59:23Speaker 1: I don't think, and I don't think that's gonna happen
- 59:27Speaker 1: because which is his stepdad, and he wants his mom
- 59:29Speaker 1: to go back to, but he don't have a good
- 59:32Speaker 1: relationship with his stepdad. I want y'all to keep that
- 59:35Speaker 1: information for later. He don't have a good relationship with
- 59:38Speaker 1: his stepdad, who is a whore because he is a whore.
- 59:47Speaker 1: It says it in the letter. It does. He is
- 59:51Speaker 1: a whore. He slept with two of y'all's mother law
- 59:56Speaker 1: friend before he before they met, and she knew that
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: and still married. And anyway, now they separated because your
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: mother in law came home one day and there was
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: another woman sitting in the kitchen with him smoking a
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: cigarette in her house. Yeah, come over here and chill out.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Who do that? Let's smoke over him? So right there,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: the disrespect is blatant. So while we talk and I'll
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: explain the rest when we come back. He's so foul
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: we wish to shot. We'll let part two of your
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hours subject,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: I don't want your step daddy, and we'll get back
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter, subject I don't want your
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: step daddy. My damn husband's mom then moved in with y'all.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: They have an argument with her husband, y'all, calling mantle issues. Meanwhile,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: she been entertaining the younger man at the house said nothing,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: which means she don't want her husband no more because
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: she left the house. Now she at your house clowning. Okay,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: on top of all that, your husband has seen it
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: with his own eyes, but he don't know how to
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: approach his mama because that's his mama. And he can't
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: talk to his mom's husband because that's his stepdad, and
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: they don't have a good relationship because he is a whore.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: This is what your letter say. I've never called a
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: man that in my life, so I'm enjoying it in
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: his letter. Your stepdaddy is a whore. He has slept
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: with two of your mama's friends for they met, and
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: she married him anyway. Now, the reason they separated because
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: mother in law came home and saw him in the
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: kitchen with another woman in her house smoking a cigarette,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: and the lady says, he's so far we wish she
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: did she divorce him, especially since she's already started dating again. Damn,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: what is the letter? Fall y'all never want y'all want
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: her to divorce him because he's a whore and she's
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: already started dating. But y'all stupid husband talking about we
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: need to get them back together so they can go
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: their home. Why would you want your mama to go
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: back to the whore? Okay, and your mama just started
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: dating at your house, so the goal was to get
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: out of y'all's house. So then you agreed to go
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: over there and talk to the step dad and you
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: took your eleven year old daughter because he has said
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: a few inappropriate things to you before, because you didn't
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: say that to your husband, because you're trying to keep
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: do this. He offered me a drink. I decline. He
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: told me he was happier without my mother in law
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: there and he wants to do bs. Well, if it's
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: if it's the wife's house, why did she have to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: leave you put his ass out? It's her house now
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: you know, took the eleven year old daughter over there
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: just in case. He offered you a drink and decline.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: He told you he's happier without the mother in law.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: He wants your I reminded him that it is her
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: house and he needs to move out. He got upset
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: but you and put you out. Then he told your
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: husband you came over there ready to do more than talk.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: My husband had to dance it and ask me to
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: tell him exactly what happened. How about I start when
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: I took eleven year old baby over there? How about
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: that I took the eleven year old baby over there
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: to do more than talk? Are you kidding me? The
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: horror has to be put out of the house. That's
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: the fact he I got because it just it just
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: so much. The man is a horror. I've never said
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: that to another man. You're a horror. You're a horror
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: a man I never said. I never said to a woman. Well,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: thank god, Okay, next thing. So now I'm furious at
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: my husband. This has nothing to do with me, and
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: my husband has put me in the middle of it.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: What to do? Please, fell First of all, you need
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: to put this in your husband's lap, because it's his
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Mama that's downstairs with the younger man, and it's his
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: daddy in law. Now, the fact that he don't get
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: along with him should have told him in the beginning.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Not only is his father in law a whore, he
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: is a liar too. So now he gonna try to
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: throw doubt in your marriage because you don't like your stepdaddy.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: And I got news for you, brother. Your stepdaddy don't
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: like you eating. So now he's trying to throw salt
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: on you in your relationship. Man, that's the oldest game
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: in the book for old cats. Let's get the light
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: off me. You're over here trying to talk to me,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: talk about me with your mama. Your wife came over
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: here to do more, and she's gonna do more than talk.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: But dog, but that's the oldest trick in the book
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: by old cats. Man. The best defense is the best offense.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: So now instead of paying a defense, let me put
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: you on d I'm gonna throw a fireball at you.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Your wife came over here to do more than talk
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: and tip the eleven year old girl. Really, man, so
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: what you need to do, really, this should be on
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: the man, the wife's husband. He needed to talk to
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: his mama and go over there and talk to damn
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: stepdad and stepped to him the right way, go your pardon,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: say something else about my wife like that. I'm gonna
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: bust you upside your head already, don't like you, and
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: get out my mama's house. Poor, Yeah, not for real.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: I'll go over there for the dude out of my
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: mama's house and my mama moving back in. She ain't
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: got to go nowhere, and then she could date the
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: young man a house because you dating chicks in her house.

- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Also I love to recognize the one and only King

- 1:12:33Speaker 1: true American Roalton. Well, let's not forget the Knights of
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: gladys Plays. Never lame them about away. Also, we'd also

- 1:13:17Speaker 1: take it from down and of course lost but not least.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: The only royalty that we true can't truly care about
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: is the Royal of Crown. That the purple bag. That
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: thing is such a that needs to be recognized that
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I just wanted to stop by and give you my yeah,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: give you the flowers while they live, something gone, But
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: of course I needed to say something called America all

- 1:14:12Speaker 1: There were no black shot that he couldn't go. I

- 1:14:30Speaker 1: no where, no where. I didn't see anyone. They might
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: have been there, but I didn't see it. I saw
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: a black girl crying against the ropes one time they
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: told her to shut up. Excuse me, du I can
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: come back now more trending stories of the sh I'm

- 1:15:17Speaker 1: and of course Um William, Prince William was already there.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Prince Harry flew from California to be at the funeral
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: of his grandfather and they were talking. The press was
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: watching to see, you know, if they were going to
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: communicate or be standoff as they were brothers. Yeah, they're brothers. Yeah,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I'm cos you can have a difference, which I brought.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: I'm still big brother, that's right. But I was going
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: to ask you, um, duke, what do you think they
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: were talking about what you done home to the castle
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: and we're talking and I was in the back and
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: they didn't see it. I overheard everything. What were they saying?
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: What they say, dude was what is name? William? Twill you?
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: William was asking if hell would you think I'm ringing
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: the castle fog. I didn't hear what he said, but
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I chimed in and said, well, I'm still hal I
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: ain't gnawed man castle. I got quiet called, I said, damn,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I don't want to get put out. I'm back and
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: got quiet. Damn if I leave the castle only black hall.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: You have seen no blacks inside the castle? Look out
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: they're cutting grass or anything. All right, Well, I just
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: wanted to clear that up. Thank you so much, Duke
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: of Iddingham. We will be back with more of the
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey morning show coming up at thirty three minutes after.
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steven Show. All right,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: what's going on? Now? Here? We go? Closing arguments in
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: the Derek Chauvin murder trial. Our schedule for today, following
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: nearly three weeks of witness testimony of acording to AP News, today,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: the prosecutors will draw on expert testimony, the video, and
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: other evidence to explain how white officer Derek Chauvin's actions
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: on May twenty fifth, when he pinned George Floyd's neck
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: to the pavement with his knee for nearly nine and
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: a half minutes, were quote a substantial cause of Floyd's death.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: That's the prosecutor's job, and they'll highlight testimony from top
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Minneapolis police officers and officials and outside use of force
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: experts that an objectively reasonable officer would not have used
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: that kind of force. Meanwhile, on the defense side, defense
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: attorney Eric Nelson will try to persuade jurors that elements
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: of testimony he elicited from prosecution witnesses and his own
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: witnesses add up to reasonable doubt over what caused Floyd's
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: death and whether Chauvin is responsible So those are the
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: two opposing sides there was. I have one question to
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: be inclosing for anybody to say that they don't think
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: that they're trying to lay reasonable doubt that this man's
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: knee on this man's neck was not the cause of
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: his death. Let me ask anybody who saw the video,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: do you think that that man that you saw in
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the video in the store, do you think that nine
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: minutes and forty six seconds later, based on what you
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: saw on the store, did he look like he was
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: about to die? No? You mean prior to yeah saying yeah, yeah, right?
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: What what did this man look like in the store
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: that would make you think in nine minutes, if everything
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: happened just left with if you got in this car,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: that nine minutes and forty six seconds later, he'll be dead.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: So how are you gonna try to tell me that
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: his knee on his neck was not the cause of
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: his when if he had never put his knee on
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: his neck, this man, probably thousand PUDs will still be living. Well,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: you caused the death. Yeah, they tried everything. Exhausted, I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: can't breathe. Drugs, I'm gonna tell you, do you know
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: the number one cause of death in this country. Not
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: breathe disease. Yeah, no, when you stopped breathing. Oh that's
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: the number one calls once you quit breathing. I'm about
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: assure you. Yeah, that's it. Yeah. People don't beat cancer.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: People didn't beat people didn't beat dementia. People didn't beat
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: long disease. People can beat heart disease. You can't beat
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: not breathing. Yeah. Coming up, it is our last break
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: of the day on this Monday, and of course we
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: will have the Duke was still here. Of course we'll
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: have some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Harvey at forty nine minutes after right after this. You're listening,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: all right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: the day on this Monday. Yeah. Yeah, oh you know
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: what one or two? Um, you know, some sad news
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: from the hip hop world. Rapper Black Rob he passed
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: away and a lot of people if you were fans
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: of bad Boy Man back in the day, yes, yes,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Black Rob. He was fifty one years old, and um,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: you know, just according to multiple reports, they've said Rob
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: passed away after battling kidney failure. And so I just
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: want to say our condoles is going out to Rob's
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: friends and family. You know, you saw his health deteriorating
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: on social media and posts, so you were just praying
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: and you know he was fighting to get better. But
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: Black Rob was featured on a lot of bad boy
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: hip hits like including bad Boy Life and of course
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the jam whoa you know that was the jam Junior
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: that was that was an anthem right there. So the
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: rest in peace Black lives. So I just wanted to
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: all right, thank you Carla with that music news of course,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, we're losing some some good man. But
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: closing remarks, Steve, what today, Well, you know, um, look
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: like you're thinking deeply right now. Yeah. You know, Um,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: there's a guy that I followed on social media. Uh.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: He's a motivational guy, Eric Eric Thomas. Eric Thomas, uh,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: the hip hop preacher. And I was watching something he
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: was doing today, you know, and he said, and it
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: just reminded me of me so much, man, And I
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: was just listening to it. He said, oh, you know, Um,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: he said that his friend came up to and said, uh, yo,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: e E have you seen Empire? He said, Noah, Noah, Man,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I missed that. He's a man. You don't want to
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: watch Empire. He said, yeah, yeah, yeah, man, I love
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: to watch Empire, but I ain't got time. He said,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: I ain't got time to watch Empire because I'm out
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: here trying to build an empire for my wife and
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: my kids and and and that, and that message kind
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: of stuck with me because you know, I look back.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: You know, you know, we have movie conversations all the time,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: and where I could never really participate in the movie conversations.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: And it's kind of crazy, man, because I ain't seen nothing.
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: And always say and I was jokingly, I always saying, hey, y'all,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I was I was just hustling that that period of time,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: I had my head down and I was hustling, but
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I was thinking about it in terms of currently even today,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: I'm not able to watch a lot and I know
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: a lot of people aren't. But I want you to
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: think about this. Listen, you all to get to where
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: you want to get to in life, everybody, it's gonna
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: take and all out of salt. You're really gonna have
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: to pour your heart and soul to a thing in
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: order for it to come true. Now, this a thing
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: can be any number of things. It can be your dreams,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: your life be something. But you all have to have
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: a thing. Everybody has to have something that they aspire to.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I mean the scripture say, as a man without a
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: dream or visions, your perish. Do you know what happens
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: to a lot of people. Man, when they retire, they
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: retire their dreams and their hopes because they've accomplished it.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: My dream was to retire, and then when they retire,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: they've set nothing out in front of them, and they
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: slowly fade away. I know of some people who've retired
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: who have faded and just rusted away. Now I'm seeing
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: some people retire and find new things to be active in,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: things that move them and make them, that wake them
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: up in the morning. You know. They volunteer work, they
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: get involved with some type of philanthropic if it's something.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: But you gotta have a thing. Everybody has to have one.
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: I don't care where you are, I'm telling you, man,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: you gotta start looking at this thing, right You gotta
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: stop looking at everybody building their life, and you gotta
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: put that focus on building your own life. That's why,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: like haters don't really shake me like they used to.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: They really don't. I used to be bothered when social
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: media first came out. Oh man, what they say? So
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: why they say that about me? I don't care no more.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: I truly can tell you. They don't move the needle
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: in my life. You know why, because they don't move
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: the needle in their life. Anybody that has the time
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: to sit around and troll the internet talking about everybody
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: else ain't taking care of themselves. When you got a
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: person who I got this one person who follows me
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: and got something negative to say about everything I do?
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Why are you following me? They say, why don't you
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: block him? Oh no, no, no, no, I'm not blocking
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: me because I gotta provide this dude with something to do.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: I've tried to look him up, but he gotta You know,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: he got a private page because he's a coward, you know,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: because he want to say all this stuff about me,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: but he don't make himself available. But I feel sorry
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: for the brother too, because he inflicts. He inputs so
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: much of his time into probably not only me, but
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: a host of other people, that he ain't having time
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: to build himself up. He's so busy trying to tear
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: me down. You got haters in your life, that's trying
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: to tear you down when they could put that effort
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: into building themselves up. I'm under attack all the time
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: by somebody trying to tear me down, but they could
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: take that same effort and build their self up. It's
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: just really sad, man, how some people spend their time.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: So I'm employing all of the Steve Harvey Show listening.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Get yourself a thing, a thing that you are willing
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: and wanting to pour your heart and soul into your efforts,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: and make that a goal of yours, because I'm telling
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: you right now, everything that is now is going to change.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: COVID has proven that the work world is changing, Your
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: job is changing. The predicaments in this world have changed.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: Get ready because some of this stuff ain't going back
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: to normal. So if I were you, I would develop
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: myself a thing and pour my heart and soul and
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: being into that thing, and so do it so much
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: where you ain't got time to watch empire because you're
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: busy trying to build your own. Those are my closing remarks.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: I'm saying that in the hope that it lights a
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: candle in you. That's the only reason I said it.
