- 0:39Speaker 1: join jo. You gotta turning? You are you gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turnout? Turn? You got to turn out? Then turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water to the water. Got come come on your
- 1:59Speaker 1: ba I shall well a good morning everybody. Y'all listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, come on dig me now one it
- 2:09Speaker 1: only Steve Harley got a radio show. I was talking
- 2:12Speaker 1: with my wife and she said something her father always
- 2:15Speaker 1: used to tell her, just because you can do something
- 2:18Speaker 1: don't mean you should do it. I can't tell you
- 2:21Speaker 1: how many times I've had to learn that in my life.
- 2:23Speaker 1: You know, just because you can do something does not
- 2:27Speaker 1: necessarily mean you should do it. I could tell people
- 2:31Speaker 1: off oftentimes, but it don't mean I should do it.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I could go here and set the record straight a
- 2:38Speaker 1: lot of times, but it don't mean I should do it. Well,
- 2:42Speaker 1: I've learned a lot in that lesson, folks, And because
- 2:48Speaker 1: I have a relationship with my creator, what it's done
- 2:52Speaker 1: is it's allowed me to learn even more how to
- 2:56Speaker 1: stay still on a lot of issues. That's troubling me.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I've learned it the hard way. I do want you
- 3:01Speaker 1: to understand that that sometimes it's better to be still.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Sometimes it's better to just let God handle a situation. Now.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I know it's hard to say because we think as people,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but if I do this, I would feel better. If
- 3:16Speaker 1: I do this now, they're feel how I feel. See,
- 3:19Speaker 1: But that's not always the best way though. I found
- 3:22Speaker 1: in my life. Sometimes you gotta like old people used
- 3:26Speaker 1: to say, you gotta let go and let God. I'm
- 3:29Speaker 1: gonna tell you something, man, I learned a lot from
- 3:30Speaker 1: my mother being a Sunday school teacher. But you know,
- 3:33Speaker 1: at the same time, when she was when I was young,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I thought she was just an old, old person just
- 3:37Speaker 1: talking to me. I didn't get it. You know how
- 3:39Speaker 1: your parents used to talk to you and you didn't
- 3:41Speaker 1: get it, and they used to always say, well wait
- 3:43Speaker 1: till you have your own kids. You would get it
- 3:45Speaker 1: then and showing off you got it then. Well, I'm
- 3:48Speaker 1: the same way. I'm no different. You know. I don't
- 3:49Speaker 1: have no different life than you. You know, don't have
- 3:51Speaker 1: no different upbringing than you. I don't have no different
- 3:54Speaker 1: ways that I can live and you can't. You know
- 3:56Speaker 1: that I gotta live by the same laws of the
- 3:59Speaker 1: land that you gotta live by. I gotta obey the
- 4:01Speaker 1: principles of success. If I want to be successful. I
- 4:03Speaker 1: got a bam and you know, and if I want
- 4:05Speaker 1: to go to heaven, I gotta do what God tell
- 4:07Speaker 1: me to do as many times as I can. Now,
- 4:10Speaker 1: you ain't gonna get it at all, right, but he
- 4:11Speaker 1: understand that, and I just get on with the best
- 4:14Speaker 1: I can. But so many times, man, we get stuck
- 4:18Speaker 1: right there, man, worrying about you know, how it's gonna
- 4:22Speaker 1: come across, and what I'm you know, I'm you know,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I'm kind of going around here because I'm trying to
- 4:27Speaker 1: find a way to tell you this that you won't
- 4:30Speaker 1: get twisted. The bottom line, you gotta let go and
- 4:33Speaker 1: let God. You have to allow him to do it
- 4:36Speaker 1: his way. See, I thought myself to a certain point,
- 4:40Speaker 1: but to go further, I had to let God have it.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I found out I wasn't all that good a driver.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I found out I wouldn't all that good of all
- 4:48Speaker 1: explore with a map. So I had to let go.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I had to let God. And you gotta understand that
- 4:54Speaker 1: God works in mysterious ways. How often had I thought
- 4:58Speaker 1: it was over for me. But what God was doing
- 5:01Speaker 1: was he was teaching me a lesson. He was showing
- 5:03Speaker 1: me something that I needed to know. He was allowing
- 5:06Speaker 1: me to experience something. But he didn't let me go under.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You know how they say God had never put more
- 5:11Speaker 1: on you than you can bear. He won't let you
- 5:13Speaker 1: go under you know, It's like the scripture that Bishop
- 5:16Speaker 1: Olmer taught me when I was going through that traumatic
- 5:19Speaker 1: thing on the internet. Man, it was really really man
- 5:21Speaker 1: trying to destroy what I had worked for and my
- 5:24Speaker 1: family and this new life to God had presented me.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And the devil is busy. The devil won't like to
- 5:29Speaker 1: see you happy. So here he comes. He puts you
- 5:31Speaker 1: under attack, and here comes internet and everything, and my
- 5:34Speaker 1: kids are suffering, but you know, here comes God. Though see,
- 5:38Speaker 1: God don't put more on you than you can bad.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Bishop Olmer sent me a scripture. He sent me Isaiah
- 5:44Speaker 1: forty three one and two. And then that scripture it
- 5:47Speaker 1: says to the effect that you can walk through the
- 5:51Speaker 1: water of the rivers and the water won't overcome you.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But then it said you can walk through the fire
- 5:57Speaker 1: and you will not get burned nor will kindling set
- 6:02Speaker 1: upon your clothing. I learned something very valuable that day. See,
- 6:06Speaker 1: God sent me through something, but he was showing me
- 6:09Speaker 1: something too. Now he didn't do it. God didn't bring
- 6:12Speaker 1: that calamity into my life because in Isaiah fifty four
- 6:16Speaker 1: seventeen it says clearly that if anyone comes against you,
- 6:20Speaker 1: it will not be my doing. Now, this is what
- 6:22Speaker 1: he promised you. When people come for you don't see.
- 6:25Speaker 1: And this is what I learned. That's why I have
- 6:27Speaker 1: no fear of the people coming anymore because I learned that.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But God had to send me through a traumatic experience
- 6:33Speaker 1: in order for me to learn that. You can't have
- 6:36Speaker 1: a testimony without a test you know what I'm staying.
- 6:39Speaker 1: You can't learn nothing without a lesson. So what he
- 6:41Speaker 1: did was he allowed that internet thing crossed into my life,
- 6:45Speaker 1: but he taught me something. And Isaiah forty three one
- 6:48Speaker 1: and two was and you could walk through the fire
- 6:50Speaker 1: and not get burned, nor wal kindling set upon your clothing.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So what that said to me was, even though you
- 6:56Speaker 1: trying to do me and it's fire all around me,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I burn, but when it's over, kindlin won't set upon
- 7:03Speaker 1: your clothing. What that showed me was not only would
- 7:06Speaker 1: I walk through the fine not get burned, but there
- 7:09Speaker 1: would be no signs that I was ever in the fire.
- 7:12Speaker 1: There's no signs of it. But now hold up, though,
- 7:16Speaker 1: now he go apart, though that I had to learn,
- 7:18Speaker 1: even though you can walk through the fire, y'all, and
- 7:21Speaker 1: even though you're being flames and scorching all around you,
- 7:24Speaker 1: if you trust him, he ain't gonna let you burn.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But now hear what he did not say. Though he
- 7:28Speaker 1: did not say that it was not going to be
- 7:32Speaker 1: uncomfortably hot, wickedly hot in there. He can't say that.
- 7:38Speaker 1: He just said you won't burn, and when it's over,
- 7:41Speaker 1: it won't be no signs that you was in the fire.
- 7:43Speaker 1: See what happened to me was after they tried to
- 7:45Speaker 1: destroy me, let me show you what God did from it.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Not only did they not accomplish what they set out
- 7:50Speaker 1: to do, but when they was through with me, though,
- 7:53Speaker 1: when they was through throwing the gas and throwing the fire,
- 7:56Speaker 1: throwing their hate and writing it in lyne and ain't
- 8:00Speaker 1: all these names for themselves so it could look like
- 8:03Speaker 1: more people was hating. When they got through with all that, man,
- 8:06Speaker 1: look what he did to me look what he did
- 8:09Speaker 1: fun me because he taught me something that day, and
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm sharing it with you because God will do the
- 8:14Speaker 1: same thing for you. But you gotta trust him though.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You got to get in there and you got to
- 8:19Speaker 1: let him do it. You gotta let him handle it. So,
- 8:21Speaker 1: just like Pop Bridges taught my wife Margie, just because
- 8:25Speaker 1: you can do something, don't mean y'all to do something.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah you could go down there and straight in the mouth,
- 8:29Speaker 1: but should you though, Yeah, you can go down there
- 8:31Speaker 1: and tell them all. Yeah, you can go down stand
- 8:33Speaker 1: up and make sure they know it's your voice that
- 8:35Speaker 1: they're hearing. And you can get in their face and
- 8:37Speaker 1: make a scene. But should you though, or should you
- 8:41Speaker 1: let go and let God? So before we run all
- 8:45Speaker 1: out in the streets and somebody go out there and
- 8:47Speaker 1: do something crazy, let's hold tight. Now. I'm not saying
- 8:50Speaker 1: don't go out there, but you gotta watch who you
- 8:52Speaker 1: go out there with. But you can go down there
- 8:54Speaker 1: with peace in your heart. Somebody decide I'm gonna throw
- 8:56Speaker 1: a brick through here and bust a wonder. Hold up, partner,
- 8:59Speaker 1: hold up there, we're down here doing so. See. Sometimes man,
- 9:02Speaker 1: you gotta let go and you gotta let God. You
- 9:04Speaker 1: gotta let God have a situation sometimes and you get
- 9:07Speaker 1: it in and do the things that He tells you
- 9:08Speaker 1: to do. See Bishop woman and taught me a lot.
- 9:11Speaker 1: He had another book out and he said, you know,
- 9:14Speaker 1: knowing God's Voice or something like that. I'm not sure
- 9:16Speaker 1: the title, but I never really knew the definition of
- 9:19Speaker 1: how do you know as God's voice talking to you? Well,
- 9:23Speaker 1: he clearly made a statement. God's voice has no sin
- 9:27Speaker 1: in it. Whenever you're talking about I'm gonna go, I'm
- 9:30Speaker 1: gonna show him, I'm gonna get him back. If it's
- 9:33Speaker 1: sin in it, God ain't in it. See thats you now,
- 9:36Speaker 1: God's voice has no sin in it. So when you
- 9:39Speaker 1: say God told me, be careful because God ain't never
- 9:44Speaker 1: told you to go do nothing wrong, that ain't what
- 9:47Speaker 1: he told you. And I learned that too. It's a lot.
- 9:50Speaker 1: So I'm just sharing to day. I hope it helps
- 9:53Speaker 1: somebody today get through a difficult time because the show
- 9:55Speaker 1: has helped me. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, man, have
- 10:03Speaker 1: your undivided attention. Please are you listening to it? This
- 10:08Speaker 1: is it? Make no mistake who you are. Yeah, this
- 10:13Speaker 1: is it? Right, yeah, this is Kenny Loggins kind of
- 10:17Speaker 1: morning that ain't Joys, That ain't stud I thought that

- 11:36Speaker 1: That's whatever? My lady? You didn't you you knee nothing? Yeah?

- 12:00Speaker 1: I was trying to pull it together Jodas. All these
- 12:04Speaker 1: were smoking the stuff getting rested on the book. I
- 12:07Speaker 1: ain't got time with it. Well, I was trying to
- 12:09Speaker 1: put this money together. I was struggling man ninety one Jodas,
- 12:14Speaker 1: Oh man, cool man, I may give me another Jodas

- 13:06Speaker 1: in and saying all the hits through it. Roscoe, Baby,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you gotta ask nobody twice. Well, I got somebody to
- 13:19Speaker 1: come here and wrote the songs. I ain't no get

- 13:41Speaker 1: prank back with the nephew. Yeah what you got, nef
- 13:44Speaker 1: shop lift? Oh m hmm, shop lift, shop stop lift,
- 13:52Speaker 1: run it hell yes, I'm trying to reach a tanyo.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Please hi. Tell you my name is Daniel, from the
- 14:04Speaker 1: head of store security here at your job. Yeah, uh, listen,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to see. Um, I'm gonna have to I
- 14:11Speaker 1: know today's your day off. I'm looking at the schedule here.
- 14:14Speaker 1: It seems that you don't come back in until Saturday.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to see if it's possible I can get
- 14:19Speaker 1: you to come to the store. There's a bit of
- 14:20Speaker 1: a situation I want to discuss with you. There's about
- 14:23Speaker 1: eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise missing from the store. Yeah,
- 14:29Speaker 1: it's about eighteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise. And we
- 14:32Speaker 1: definitely know that this is a in house situation. This
- 14:35Speaker 1: is not someone walking in shoplifting. This is definitely an
- 14:40Speaker 1: in house situation with employees who have evidently been shoplifting
- 14:44Speaker 1: from the store, taking things, and we want to get
- 14:47Speaker 1: down to the to the roots of the problem. Well, man,
- 14:52Speaker 1: it's uh, it's been brought to my attention that there's
- 14:55Speaker 1: a possibility that you may be part of this situation.
- 15:01Speaker 1: And I ain't. I don't steal. You don't call my
- 15:07Speaker 1: house accusing me. Is stealing. I stole nothing from nobody. Okay, Well,
- 15:11Speaker 1: my hangar man, what I'm trying to do is just
- 15:13Speaker 1: trying to you, trying to say out and hold something
- 15:17Speaker 1: and I stole them. Okay, wait just a second. Now,
- 15:20Speaker 1: do you have a sister named Cynthia? Yeah, what about it? Well,
- 15:24Speaker 1: now it seems that here on some of the footage
- 15:27Speaker 1: that we have on camera, that it's a possibility that
- 15:31Speaker 1: it seems like your sister's actually wearing some of the
- 15:34Speaker 1: merchandise that we sell here in the store. Okay, just
- 15:38Speaker 1: because she wears something that we sell in the store,
- 15:41Speaker 1: don't mean that I stole it. Well, we don't see
- 15:45Speaker 1: where she's at. I've backed the footage up as far
- 15:47Speaker 1: as I could. I don't see any footage of where
- 15:50Speaker 1: she purchased this particular merchandise. And my assumption is maybe
- 15:54Speaker 1: you gave it to her. I gave her And just
- 15:58Speaker 1: because you don't see what somebody purchased it don't mean
- 16:00Speaker 1: that it's miss stolen. Okay, here's what I'm gonna I'm
- 16:03Speaker 1: gonna just get to the chase of this, Tanya. What
- 16:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to do is this, If I can't
- 16:08Speaker 1: get you to come to the store man. And matter
- 16:11Speaker 1: of fact, here's another question for you before I go
- 16:13Speaker 1: any further. You have children at all? Tanya? Yeah, I
- 16:16Speaker 1: got children, wife, because I'm missing a lot of baby
- 16:21Speaker 1: merchandise as well. And you know what, you know what
- 16:24Speaker 1: you're really cruising for this morning, Okay, because you're gonna
- 16:29Speaker 1: call somebody on the off day accusing them of stealing. Okay,
- 16:33Speaker 1: here's what I gotta do. Are you coming into the
- 16:36Speaker 1: office so I can talk with you. I'm not coming
- 16:39Speaker 1: know where on my off day. Well, then what's gonna happen,
- 16:43Speaker 1: miss Tanya, is I'm gonna have to actually come to
- 16:46Speaker 1: your home, check your closets. I'm gonna have to check
- 16:49Speaker 1: your kids and see if they're check and see if
- 16:51Speaker 1: they're wearing merchandise that comes from this Come to my
- 16:54Speaker 1: house if you want to, and they're gonna take your
- 16:57Speaker 1: somebody here in the body back exteals me. Me. You
- 17:00Speaker 1: heard what I said. You heard what I said. You
- 17:03Speaker 1: don't call nobody. I bust my death store. I bust
- 17:06Speaker 1: my to that store. You understand me. I work hard
- 17:09Speaker 1: for y'all. Okay, you you've been busting you, You've been
- 17:12Speaker 1: busting your car. Here excusing me of stealing. I ain't
- 17:16Speaker 1: so from nobody. I don't have to steal. That's why
- 17:19Speaker 1: I work all that. You understand. I think you've been
- 17:21Speaker 1: busting your butt. Taking stuff is what you've been doing.
- 17:25Speaker 1: You've been from nobody. You understand me. I do not steal.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna come over there. I'm checking your closets things.
- 17:33Speaker 1: But it ain't no cease, you understand. And I'm checking
- 17:35Speaker 1: your babies as well. And I'm making check my babies
- 17:38Speaker 1: to see what happens. You put your heads on any
- 17:41Speaker 1: damn thing in here and see what happens. Okay, I
- 17:44Speaker 1: don't want to have to drag your butt here. Oh
- 17:47Speaker 1: you're gonna drag somebody? Oh? Now you threatening me? I
- 17:50Speaker 1: don't want to drag by of your house security guy.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You tough security guy. You like your job that much
- 17:55Speaker 1: you're willing to die for that? Huh? Who said anything
- 17:58Speaker 1: about me? Die? I did come over here, and that's
- 18:01Speaker 1: what's gonna happen. That's what happens. When you put people
- 18:04Speaker 1: on the off day, you get hurt. Okay, I get
- 18:07Speaker 1: a couple of damn days off, and y'all gonna call
- 18:09Speaker 1: me with this. So are you threatening? Me now I'm
- 18:13Speaker 1: threatening you. Then you just call and say you was
- 18:15Speaker 1: coming over here. Yes, I did bring you. I'm don't
- 18:20Speaker 1: bring your security. I don't let me tell you something. Okay,
- 18:25Speaker 1: I get you. I can have you brought up on charges.
- 18:28Speaker 1: You know that. Bring me up on charges and see
- 18:30Speaker 1: what happens. I want charge, see if you get that first.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I'm on my way over there now to check you.
- 18:36Speaker 1: When your kids. You understand, men come over here to
- 18:38Speaker 1: check me and my kids and see how they checked y'all.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Somebody here. Let me tell you something. I ain't got
- 18:45Speaker 1: to tell me. You ain't got nothing to tell me.
- 18:47Speaker 1: You ain't got something to tell me. Why don't you
- 18:50Speaker 1: go ahead and tell me what you took? Maybe I'll
- 18:52Speaker 1: go light on you. I'll go light. Think I'm stupid
- 18:54Speaker 1: or something. You don't sound like a damn food. Why
- 18:57Speaker 1: don't you tell me what you took? I ain't took.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I bet you teaching your little kids over there how
- 19:02Speaker 1: to steal too? Aunt you what what you teach kid? Hey? Hey? Hey? Hey?
- 19:07Speaker 1: Now you want hey hey, hey, hey, hey hey? Don't
- 19:11Speaker 1: call me with this on a stake. Let me tell
- 19:15Speaker 1: you one mother, are you listening to me? I got
- 19:17Speaker 1: one more thing to say to you. You ain't got
- 19:19Speaker 1: nothing else to say to me. Are you listening? What
- 19:22Speaker 1: this is, Nephew timing from the Steve Harvey Martin Show.
- 19:26Speaker 1: You just got prank your sister sid for you? Okay? Okay?

- 21:05Speaker 1: driveway to light up, and I don't want him out
- 21:08Speaker 1: there looking get up. My husband and I were raised
- 21:11Speaker 1: very differently, so I've learned to overlook a lot that
- 21:14Speaker 1: his mom does. But can I draw the line with
- 21:17Speaker 1: her stinky boyfriend? Yes, because it's your house, you absolutely can.
- 21:24Speaker 1: You are the queen of the castle. Your husband is
- 21:26Speaker 1: the king of the castle, and you all get to
- 21:29Speaker 1: make rules. And I could just tell you flat out
- 21:32Speaker 1: the queen's rules at the castle outweighed the king's rules.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you that now you can act
- 21:40Speaker 1: like it. Don't if you want to, you sadly mistake
- 21:43Speaker 1: it in the way. The thing really does work. Queen's rules,
- 21:50Speaker 1: make the rules, set it, and then tell your king
- 21:54Speaker 1: that's what you won't carry it out at your house
- 21:57Speaker 1: that his mom was staying. There's one thing, but hello,
- 22:01Speaker 1: puck ass boyfriend coming over that smoking cigarettes and stuff
- 22:05Speaker 1: we're not doing that. A matter of fact, he can't
- 22:07Speaker 1: stay here. He got his own place. Keno, man comes,
- 22:11Speaker 1: stay in my house. Man sleep with somebody. Man, get

- 22:21Speaker 1: Madeline rights to have two children by a man I
- 22:24Speaker 1: was with for six years. He got married a year
- 22:26Speaker 1: after we broke up, and I still cannot get over
- 22:29Speaker 1: the fact that he moved on so quickly. I feel
- 22:32Speaker 1: like he didn't give our relationship a chance, and he
- 22:35Speaker 1: threw me and the kids to the side for his
- 22:37Speaker 1: new wife. Was he cheating with her all along? What
- 22:41Speaker 1: difference do it make? What difference do it make? You
- 22:47Speaker 1: had two children with this man in six years. A
- 22:51Speaker 1: year after y'all break up, he married somebody else. Now
- 22:55Speaker 1: you can't get over that because you want to know
- 22:57Speaker 1: if he was cheating with this woman and he just
- 23:00Speaker 1: throw you away and the kids for the woman. Yes,
- 23:04Speaker 1: now what okay? So now now now what? Now you're
- 23:10Speaker 1: gonna stay, You're gonna stay there in that past or
- 23:13Speaker 1: you're gonna get up and realize that that was that
- 23:16Speaker 1: was probably a reason for that. First of all, he
- 23:19Speaker 1: was not your soul mate. If he was your soul mate,
- 23:23Speaker 1: y'all will still be made it. That's not him and
- 23:28Speaker 1: he's gone. These are facts, yea. And men don't do closure,
- 23:35Speaker 1: So quit looking for him to come over there to
- 23:37Speaker 1: explain to you what he did. We're telling you what
- 23:40Speaker 1: you wrote in the line of what he did. Did
- 23:43Speaker 1: he leave gone? What they always got to know if
- 23:48Speaker 1: they want to know the whole story, how it started,
- 23:51Speaker 1: when it started, when it ended, It don't matter. And
- 23:55Speaker 1: and you you you got the story, you got the opening,
- 23:59Speaker 1: you got the after. Yeah, you got the closing, you
- 24:02Speaker 1: got the forwards, you got the baby, you got everything
- 24:07Speaker 1: in the store. She just doesn't want to face it. Yeah,
- 24:10Speaker 1: all right, moving on, thank you have no choice. Yeah,
- 24:13Speaker 1: that's right. And she's got two kids, she's an example
- 24:16Speaker 1: for this, and they're watching. You're all. That's right, all right,
- 24:21Speaker 1: Madeline and Austin. Moving on to LaToya and Henderson Nevada.
- 24:26Speaker 1: LaToya says, I'm a personal chef for newlyweds, and they
- 24:30Speaker 1: host wild dinner parties that usually end up with people
- 24:33Speaker 1: dancing naked and hooking up. I was safe for the
- 24:37Speaker 1: first few months, but now the husband wants me. I
- 24:40Speaker 1: told him, I'd do a threesome with his wife, but
- 24:42Speaker 1: she said she's not interested. It's awkward knowing that she
- 24:46Speaker 1: doesn't want me. What is this awkward for me to
- 24:54Speaker 1: get a new job? What? So, LaToya? First of all,
- 24:58Speaker 1: this is the first profession. And I've heard that's a
- 25:01Speaker 1: chef for newlyweds. That's the first time i've heard that specific.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm a chef for newlyweds. So let's be honest. Is
- 25:17Speaker 1: the chef a cover because that's what it sounds like
- 25:22Speaker 1: because you're specific just to newlyweds. Now the husband won't
- 25:28Speaker 1: you and you said you'd be willing to do a
- 25:33Speaker 1: threesome with him, but now the wife don't want you.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Now it's awkward for you being a newlywed chef cost
- 25:43Speaker 1: she don't want you. I'm so damned. Why why did
- 25:50Speaker 1: you write us? I don't know? You know, I don't
- 25:58Speaker 1: know doctor Phiel Okay, old broh, somebody who care? Oh ya?
- 26:06Speaker 1: You could have wrote Yalla fixed my life because I
- 26:10Speaker 1: would really she retired. She's true with people done, but
- 26:16Speaker 1: too much for her. Where is the next dinner party? Though?
- 26:23Speaker 1: That's I mean, we really should and you need to
- 26:26Speaker 1: know this? Why? Well, I like to cook. I like
- 26:30Speaker 1: to cook. Y'all like to cook here? Yeah? Yeah, you
- 26:36Speaker 1: like to cook, but don't swom it here. Let's go ahead.
- 26:40Speaker 1: S all right, Uh, we don't have a lot of time,
- 26:43Speaker 1: but let's see. It's Stella in Bergen County says, I'm
- 26:46Speaker 1: dating a man that is insecure, and every time I'm
- 26:48Speaker 1: on the phone with my male best friend, he's right
- 26:50Speaker 1: in my face, listening to every word. He's forbidden me
- 26:54Speaker 1: to visit him at his house, and we can't travel
- 26:57Speaker 1: together anymore. He said it would help if my friend
- 27:00Speaker 1: weren't so fine. Is it okay for a man to
- 27:02Speaker 1: say that? Excuse me? You have a male best friend
- 27:07Speaker 1: that your husband has told you he don't want you
- 27:10Speaker 1: talking to no more. He don't want you visited, and
- 27:13Speaker 1: he don't want y'all taking trips no more. You' you'
- 27:20Speaker 1: you're listening all right? As comments? It is time to
- 27:27Speaker 1: ask Steve. You're ready, Steve, Yeah, right, I'll kick it up.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Let me ask you this. What's the one thing that
- 27:35Speaker 1: you just love doing right now? I'm talking besides golf
- 27:38Speaker 1: and smoking cigars and everything, but what makes you really
- 27:41Speaker 1: happy right now? M my, my yearly vacation that my
- 27:48Speaker 1: wife and I take every year. It's the most relaxing, rewarding.
- 27:53Speaker 1: It's it's it's our gift to herself for a year
- 27:56Speaker 1: of labor. Nice and just you two without the kids
- 28:00Speaker 1: and every well, you know, we had the kids on
- 28:02Speaker 1: it for a week. Yeah, last year, and it was
- 28:04Speaker 1: really nice, man, because my kids have grown up. Man,
- 28:07Speaker 1: it was like amazing. They were talking about going to
- 28:09Speaker 1: all these clubs and every night they went nap. We
- 28:13Speaker 1: ain't going nowhere, and it's just nice to watch them
- 28:16Speaker 1: grow up in front of your face, you know. And
- 28:18Speaker 1: we had some interesting conversation. We had some real, real
- 28:22Speaker 1: conversations with each other, and so it was really nice.
- 28:25Speaker 1: It was revealing. But that's my favorite thing to do. Okay, Carla,
- 28:30Speaker 1: I got a question, So where do you go to think, Steve?
- 28:34Speaker 1: You know, you're always on, you're always working, you know, radio, TV.
- 28:39Speaker 1: It's a couple of things out in the backyard. I
- 28:41Speaker 1: have a special place in the backyard I go to
- 28:44Speaker 1: do some thinking. I also I do my morning meditation
- 28:48Speaker 1: at my desk in my office. Every morning. I read
- 28:52Speaker 1: my scriptures, I go with my motivational talks and phrases
- 28:56Speaker 1: and a girl at work gave me a Jesus's calling
- 29:00Speaker 1: leather bound daily you know daily bread type format. Yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 1: kind of devotional. She gave me one was really really
- 29:09Speaker 1: helpful to me. All right, junior, what you got we're doing?
- 29:12Speaker 1: All right? Uh? What is uh? Your favorite word? Just
- 29:20Speaker 1: a word motivational word. Well, we may need to get
- 29:24Speaker 1: the beeper ready for the PROD. You know what? I
- 29:30Speaker 1: don't know, man, I guess I don't know my favorite word. Yeah, yeah,
- 29:38Speaker 1: you're Sammy Jackson got the same word. I don't know.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Why are you waiting? Oh? No, no, man, that's not
- 29:44Speaker 1: my favorite word, not not not the big thirteen letter one. Now,
- 29:47Speaker 1: it's not my favorite word. It ain't even what I've
- 29:51Speaker 1: used it often, but you've used it more than anything.
- 29:55Speaker 1: My favorite word. You're really it's not gonna be it's
- 29:58Speaker 1: not for radio. Okay, okay, let's move. Yeah, tell me
- 30:03Speaker 1: what you wait? Wait, run over that you know, not
- 30:11Speaker 1: for radio. We're all out the radio. We're on the radio. Time.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Tell him call him protect the brand. We want to
- 30:18Speaker 1: be at the mall time. All right, let me ask
- 30:23Speaker 1: him a popcorn question then something, you know what I
- 30:27Speaker 1: got one? Since he's been he's been eating right, what's
- 30:30Speaker 1: your favorite vegetable? You've been eating a lot of them.
- 30:34Speaker 1: You're on the plant. I like. I like vegetables, though,
- 30:38Speaker 1: you know favorite then call a flower. It's one of
- 30:44Speaker 1: my favorites. Broccoli. I love mushrooms. I love all beans.
- 30:53Speaker 1: That's not a bean that I don't like. Pintoe, lime,
- 30:57Speaker 1: navy white, guy peas, snow peas, snap peas. In the
- 31:04Speaker 1: mind the Mommy oh Man, man boy shot peas, green peas,
- 31:11Speaker 1: snap peas, chick peas, man chick peas, hummus. Yeah, there's
- 31:16Speaker 1: not a bean. There's no black beas. There's not a
- 31:19Speaker 1: bean I don't like. What's your least favorite vegetable, Bob CHOI,
- 31:24Speaker 1: that's your least favorite. I don't even understand what they
- 31:26Speaker 1: do with that. Why he's in on the plate and
- 31:30Speaker 1: you can't chew it? All right, I got another question
- 31:32Speaker 1: for you, Steve. Everybody loves you. I mean, you have
- 31:35Speaker 1: so many wonderful, wonderful fans, But I want to know
- 31:39Speaker 1: what your craziest fans story is your craziest quickly, you
- 31:47Speaker 1: know he ain't no one man. I had this lady
- 31:51Speaker 1: in Nashville one time the show was over, went to
- 31:57Speaker 1: a club and I saw this girl in the club.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Oh my god, this girl was amazing. She was this
- 32:05Speaker 1: girl was stunningly gorgeous, stunningly gorgeous in Nashville. And I
- 32:12Speaker 1: was heading over tour and this girl grabbed me by
- 32:16Speaker 1: the arm and said, hey, Steve Harvey. I said, hey, baby,
- 32:19Speaker 1: how you doing? What's going on? She said, all right,
- 32:22Speaker 1: come on, let's dance. I said, no, I don't dance.
- 32:25Speaker 1: What No, I don't. I don't go to no clubs
- 32:28Speaker 1: to dance. Famous. She ain't never seen me and no
- 32:31Speaker 1: club dancing ship I told her. I said no, no,
- 32:36Speaker 1: thank you, I don't dance. Okay. So I went over
- 32:39Speaker 1: and the girl was standing there. As soon as she
- 32:41Speaker 1: turned around, she said, oh my god, Steve Harve, I
- 32:43Speaker 1: was hoping you came over to say to me. You
- 32:45Speaker 1: were so funny tonight. This girl walked up behind me
- 32:49Speaker 1: and said, I thought your blankety blank blank said you
- 32:52Speaker 1: didn't dance lit me. I wasn't even on the floor dancing.
- 33:00Speaker 1: But I'm standing here talking to this girl yet. But
- 33:03Speaker 1: I guess she that I went over there and asked
- 33:06Speaker 1: the girl to dance. That wasn't even on my minor. Man,
- 33:10Speaker 1: that woman cuss me out. She cuts me out so bad.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I actually turned around and said I asked her to
- 33:18Speaker 1: dance just a blankety blanket a live I see. We
- 33:23Speaker 1: gotta get out of here, everybody, you know who this is? This?
- 33:26Speaker 1: I want to invite everybody down to invest Fest. Invest Fest.
- 33:30Speaker 1: It's gonna be at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia,
- 33:33Speaker 1: August fifth through the seventh. Come down and enrich your

- 33:57Speaker 1: Is he gonna bless us with you know he's such
- 33:59Speaker 1: a poet. Yeah, he's going to bless us with the
- 34:01Speaker 1: birthday poem? Yeah? Yeah, Yeah, I'm a poet. I'm a poet.
- 34:07Speaker 1: My art is what my art is, you know. And
- 34:10Speaker 1: I don't I don't care how y'all feel about this. Yeah,
- 34:14Speaker 1: don't judge me. I'm just I'm just doing what comes
- 34:16Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, I'm just coming here. And let me
- 34:19Speaker 1: just tell you see, I've turned a nice number now
- 34:22Speaker 1: and and now life has gotten a little bit confused.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Oh I really want to hear this, you know, you know,
- 34:28Speaker 1: And so I had expressed myself in a lot of
- 34:31Speaker 1: different ways. So I wrote down a bunch of things
- 34:33Speaker 1: for this poem that that that tells you, like how
- 34:36Speaker 1: life is so confused in that and okay, lett you
- 34:39Speaker 1: get that here it is. The poem is called It's like, okay, yeah,
- 34:47Speaker 1: it's called it's called it's like um after the fact,
- 34:54Speaker 1: it's life is. It's like the unhealthy doctor with a
- 34:58Speaker 1: high blood pressure. It's like the schoolteacher who own child
- 35:05Speaker 1: can't read. It's like the psychiatrist who has a psychiatrist.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Life is like it's like the clown that hates keith. See.
- 35:20Speaker 1: It's like the backslide preacher. What a side piece because
- 35:26Speaker 1: his birthday ain't no poets. It's like the militant black man,
- 35:33Speaker 1: uh huh, but married to a white woman is really well,
- 35:38Speaker 1: that's what life is like. It's confusing. It's like, yeah,
- 35:43Speaker 1: it's like the mechanic who drive a raggedy car. Why.
- 35:50Speaker 1: It's like the police offer to tell you hawked, but
- 35:53Speaker 1: he got two kids in jail. How life is like
- 36:00Speaker 1: the chef who never had no food in the refrigerator
- 36:03Speaker 1: and always hungry. Why are you cooking? Okay, it's like
- 36:10Speaker 1: the strip that goes to church every Sunday, But she
- 36:14Speaker 1: also lead the prayer meeting. How how how it's like
- 36:22Speaker 1: the uber drive Yeah that you get in the car
- 36:25Speaker 1: with pick you up, but he asked you where we're going?
- 36:30Speaker 1: How that for me is what life is like? Wow? Yeah, yeah,
- 36:36Speaker 1: that's it. Yeah, you don't have I didn't. It wasn't
- 36:41Speaker 1: like a poem, but I like, yeah, all poems don't rhyme.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I'm at another level now. The true form of poetry
- 36:51Speaker 1: is to get to the level where it is conversation.
- 36:53Speaker 1: So y'all didn't know that you're listening? Is your relations
- 37:00Speaker 1: and ship so good? Guys that sometimes you wish you
- 37:03Speaker 1: and your spouse would argue more? Huh if far? So?
- 37:16Speaker 1: If one argument, just one argument, could save your marriage,
- 37:20Speaker 1: that is it. But this husband cooked, clean, swept, and
- 37:23Speaker 1: loved his wife passionately completely. She in turn, felt choked
- 37:28Speaker 1: by his affection and now wants to divorce him. The
- 37:32Speaker 1: woman sought divorce from her husband in a city in
- 37:35Speaker 1: the United Arab Emirates because his love was too much
- 37:39Speaker 1: for her to bear. He never yelled at me or
- 37:42Speaker 1: turned me down. The woman told the court, I was
- 37:45Speaker 1: choked by extreme love and affections. He even helped me
- 37:49Speaker 1: clean the house. The court ordered the adjournment of the
- 37:52Speaker 1: case to give a couple a chance at reconciliation. So, guys,
- 37:56Speaker 1: here's a question for you. Do you wish you and
- 37:59Speaker 1: your spouse would actually argue more? Or have you ever
- 38:03Speaker 1: ended a relationship because there was no conflict at all?
- 38:06Speaker 1: It's just too much love and affection. Jay, don't answer
- 38:09Speaker 1: this no, please see they need to stay away from it.
- 38:16Speaker 1: As soon as soon as you say something to him,
- 38:20Speaker 1: you disagree with his ass is getting some papers drawed.
- 38:24Speaker 1: Are you serious? Are you serious? Talk back too much?
- 38:28Speaker 1: I'm out of this relationship? Is that fast? Can be quick?
- 38:33Speaker 1: Getting that? Really? Jay? Yeah? He out? I'm out, he
- 38:41Speaker 1: out out. I don't know who wants an argument, but
- 38:44Speaker 1: this woman, what's wrong with her? Exactly? She's a problem
- 38:48Speaker 1: standing what real love is. She's got a different view.
- 38:52Speaker 1: She saw somebody getting cussed out abuse something. I want that? Yeah,
- 38:58Speaker 1: that's probably yeah, she said something. Yeah, I want to
- 39:01Speaker 1: get cussed out. Too much love and affection. I've never
- 39:06Speaker 1: heard a woman wants who want that unless he's ultra cleaning.
- 39:14Speaker 1: She did say she felt choked by his love. He
- 39:17Speaker 1: felt choked by it. You mean be choked. He cooked,
- 39:25Speaker 1: he cleaned, He cooked, he clean, He loved her passionately
- 39:29Speaker 1: and completely. This sounds like a romance, Joe. Yeah, he
- 39:37Speaker 1: said he never yelled at me or turned me down,
- 39:41Speaker 1: but never yet. Go baby, you need to be who
- 39:45Speaker 1: are you? He never turned you down? Oh my god.
- 39:49Speaker 1: So this is the opposite of an abusive relationship. He
- 39:53Speaker 1: cook extreme, He cooking and cleaning. Girl, Please, yeah, cook,
- 40:01Speaker 1: I'm not gonna clean. He swept well, olive was pot
- 40:11Speaker 1: on a stove in a heartbeat. Wow, this this, I mean?
- 40:15Speaker 1: Women say all the time they want a good man.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Women complain all the time. He never helps me around
- 40:21Speaker 1: the house. I don't. We never spend enough time together.
- 40:25Speaker 1: He's not affectionate, he's not romantic. I help you back.
- 40:36Speaker 1: But Jay, Now, one time she said something, she's out,
- 40:41Speaker 1: You're done. Well. I don't take tell them back. I
- 40:43Speaker 1: don't what is talking back? What we're doing there? Her daddy,
- 40:49Speaker 1: you're her husband, you're her man. Jack your daddy say uh,
- 40:57Speaker 1: dad say, oh, we don't do back. We just do
- 41:01Speaker 1: folk ain't. I've never heard of this before. But Jay,
- 41:10Speaker 1: we can't disagree. We can't agree you talking back to me,
- 41:15Speaker 1: you would have been done. But we don't like what
- 41:17Speaker 1: you're saying. Jay, we have a right to say. Yeah,

- 45:02Speaker 1: bit your say and be cussing at me. Lady. I
- 45:04Speaker 1: just said, your daughter Secura bit my son Joshua in
- 45:08Speaker 1: the back, and I just let no. I just said
- 45:10Speaker 1: no two things. One my daughter wouldn't bite nobody, and two,
- 45:13Speaker 1: don't call my house with this tone. I called with
- 45:16Speaker 1: any kind of tone I want to call with. All
- 45:18Speaker 1: I'm saying is your daughter then bit my son in
- 45:21Speaker 1: the back. And I'm gonna tell you. All I'm saying

- 45:27Speaker 1: some that my daughter beat your child in the back.
- 45:30Speaker 1: My daughter has manners and she wouldn't be biting nobody

- 45:36Speaker 1: you know what your daughter gonna be doing if you
- 45:38Speaker 1: ain't there my daughter you're raising. Ain't you just come
- 45:44Speaker 1: in one month and trying to do some kind of
- 45:46Speaker 1: daddy work. No dad, but four years old, Hignail, You
- 45:49Speaker 1: don't you know how that? Damn well, I've been with
- 45:52Speaker 1: her for four years. You being my daughter does not
- 45:54Speaker 1: be biting people around in the back of the neck
- 45:56Speaker 1: or anything like that. What the hell is wrong with you?
- 45:59Speaker 1: Don't call my house to attitude where I get. I

- 46:08Speaker 1: don't think you got your facts straight. So next time
- 46:10Speaker 1: you call somebody to tell them about their child, figure
- 46:13Speaker 1: out everything about your child first. All I'm saying is
- 46:16Speaker 1: that the people at the academy says, so, Carol, my
- 46:19Speaker 1: son Joshua were in the back. Well, I can't understand
- 46:22Speaker 1: what you're saying because I don't like your tongue. So

- 46:28Speaker 1: Don't make no difference. If a mama or daddy called
- 46:30Speaker 1: long with somebody called hello, call her back? Hello? Is
- 46:36Speaker 1: this Carol? This is Why are you hanging up on me?
- 46:39Speaker 1: Why are you still calling me? And why are you
- 46:41Speaker 1: yelling at me? My child didn't bite your child in
- 46:44Speaker 1: the back. When I picked up my child. They didn't
- 46:46Speaker 1: say to me, your child is fighting in the back.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Child with my child every day? Like I said in
- 46:51Speaker 1: the first lady, you must be some kind of weekend daddy.
- 46:54Speaker 1: How can I know my child? I'm with my child
- 46:57Speaker 1: every day. How can you are you? I'm I don't
- 47:01Speaker 1: even know who Joshua is. She should have just hit
- 47:03Speaker 1: him in the head. Ain't what you ain't gonna do
- 47:05Speaker 1: and sit there and talk about my baby? Now? You
- 47:07Speaker 1: asked me to lower my talk. You know what I'm
- 47:08Speaker 1: gonna do. I'm gonna hang up one lay hello Hello?
- 47:15Speaker 1: Called back? Then call her back cat Hello, don't hang
- 47:20Speaker 1: up on me no more, lady number again. I'm gonna
- 47:24Speaker 1: call you until you tell me why you your child
- 47:27Speaker 1: beat me? Just bite my child in the back. I
- 47:29Speaker 1: Am not in the mood to play with you right now.
- 47:31Speaker 1: You're gonna miss try to get you and your child
- 47:34Speaker 1: swoop you and your child. You don't whoa whoa whoa.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Guess what Shakira got her? Daddy? You talking about whipping somebody?
- 47:42Speaker 1: Daddy else to say. You can't call my house and
- 47:45Speaker 1: threaten me and my job. If my child beat you up, child?
- 47:49Speaker 1: What your child deserved? He got whoop? Datta whooped? Your
- 47:53Speaker 1: frinds just probably want me to laught trying the little

- 49:10Speaker 1: You just got prive you. Oh, I am shame. I
- 49:17Speaker 1: am just got prank. Your sister Glinda told me, she
- 49:22Speaker 1: said they could get me. She said get She said
- 49:26Speaker 1: you always never get me. That I told that wouldn't
- 49:31Speaker 1: happen to me. But you can't call somebody talk about baby.
- 49:40Speaker 1: That's that's where I killman. Don't don't call nobody. But
- 49:43Speaker 1: you got my heart hearted? Look, can I ask you something?
- 49:46Speaker 1: Let me ask you what is the baddest radio show

- 50:56Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. Thank you enough you subject.
- 51:00Speaker 1: The child won't understand this. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am
- 51:03Speaker 1: a thirty four year old single mother. I have had
- 51:07Speaker 1: the same best friend for twenty years and she is
- 51:11Speaker 1: my daughter's godmother. My daughter's father died when she was
- 51:14Speaker 1: two years old, and my best friend said she would
- 51:17Speaker 1: always be there for my child. Well, she has not
- 51:21Speaker 1: kept her promise. My daughter is seven years old now
- 51:25Speaker 1: and she has a spicy personality and behavioral problems. She
- 51:30Speaker 1: acts out when she's upset, and she has a problem
- 51:34Speaker 1: with being disrespectful to adult. I have tried everything to
- 51:38Speaker 1: discipline her, but nothing has worked. This past Saturday, her
- 51:42Speaker 1: godmother took her to a birthday party for me so
- 51:45Speaker 1: I could rest and nurse a cold. Within thirty minutes
- 51:48Speaker 1: of leaving, my child walked back in yelled at the
- 51:52Speaker 1: top of her lungs at her godmother. The godmother said
- 51:55Speaker 1: that as soon as she got to the party, this
- 51:57Speaker 1: child of mine insulted the birthday girl and told her
- 52:02Speaker 1: that her hair was a mess, her party decorations were terrible,
- 52:05Speaker 1: and her house was stinky. My best friend said she
- 52:09Speaker 1: was so embarrassed she drugged my daughter out of the party,
- 52:13Speaker 1: kicking and screaming. I know my friend was very upset,
- 52:17Speaker 1: but I thought as an adult, she should have handled it.
- 52:19Speaker 1: A few hours later, I called my best friend to
- 52:22Speaker 1: see if she cooled off. She said she wasn't mad,
- 52:25Speaker 1: but she is done with my daughter for good. She
- 52:28Speaker 1: denounced her title as the godmother of my child. I
- 52:32Speaker 1: didn't even know you could do that. She doesn't want
- 52:34Speaker 1: my child to interfere with our friendship. I'm like, what,
- 52:38Speaker 1: who does that? I tried reasoning with her, but she
- 52:41Speaker 1: kept saying that she's not changing her mind. It's going
- 52:44Speaker 1: to devastate my child because she loves her godmother. So
- 52:48Speaker 1: how will I tell my child that her godmother quit her?
- 52:51Speaker 1: I'm so upset? Well, I mean, really, can you blame
- 52:54Speaker 1: her though? I mean, no one likes a bad but child,
- 52:57Speaker 1: just no one likes bad babies type kids. No one
- 53:01Speaker 1: likes them but their parents. Sorry, and you're her mom,
- 53:04Speaker 1: so uh you know, I mean, truth be told her
- 53:07Speaker 1: godmother might come back if little goddaughter, you know, is
- 53:12Speaker 1: better behaved. Um, but I just got to ask where
- 53:16Speaker 1: is she getting this attitude? I mean at seven years old? Who? Who?
- 53:21Speaker 1: What kind of little friends does she have? Um? She's disrespectful,
- 53:26Speaker 1: as she showed at the party. She's unruly, she's way
- 53:29Speaker 1: too grown. She's just a bad little kid. I mean,
- 53:31Speaker 1: what is wrong? Are you doing your part as mom?
- 53:35Speaker 1: H and as her as her mother? Okay, as her mother? Um,
- 53:43Speaker 1: I think you gotta know that this is more than
- 53:46Speaker 1: what you call a spicy personality. I think you're overlooking
- 53:51Speaker 1: this whole thing because she's your daughter. I think you
- 53:54Speaker 1: just can't wait for the godmother to godmother to come
- 53:57Speaker 1: over and discipline your child the stuff that her godmother
- 54:00Speaker 1: does every once in a while, every now and then.
- 54:02Speaker 1: That's not gonna stick. That's not gonna stay with your child.
- 54:05Speaker 1: It really isn't, you know. And she could very well
- 54:09Speaker 1: be through with your daughter because your daughter did act up.
- 54:12Speaker 1: The question is why is she doing all this and
- 54:15Speaker 1: if it's going to devastate your child so much because
- 54:18Speaker 1: she loves her godmother, maybe you know that would reel
- 54:22Speaker 1: your daughter in and make her behave better. But I
- 54:25Speaker 1: think the best thing to do is to get your
- 54:27Speaker 1: daughter into some kind of therapy right away. I know
- 54:30Speaker 1: people will disagree with me. Someone are just gonna say
- 54:33Speaker 1: you should whoop her a little behind. I know people
- 54:36Speaker 1: are gonna say that, but I mean she's only seven.
- 54:39Speaker 1: She's only seven. Maybe it's their fool, but anyway, that's
- 54:50Speaker 1: what I think about this, because you know she suffered
- 54:53Speaker 1: major loss. I mean even though she was only two
- 54:55Speaker 1: years old. You're a single mom, there is no man
- 54:57Speaker 1: in the home. She could just be acting out. To
- 55:00Speaker 1: get her into some therapy. Okay, Steve, please, Oh I
- 55:05Speaker 1: thought you had more? Okay, everybody ready? Yes, you read
- 55:12Speaker 1: Happy Knew Year. This is random. Jesus. Well, you're thirty
- 55:24Speaker 1: four year old single mother. You got this best friend
- 55:27Speaker 1: you didn't had for twenty years. She's your daughter's god mother.
- 55:32Speaker 1: That's a given title. That's just the inner, you know,
- 55:37Speaker 1: when you somebody god mother, godfather, that's just a title.
- 55:43Speaker 1: You ain't really posted do nothing, got really really, dog? Listen,
- 55:51Speaker 1: just you don't really posted do nothing. If that's your
- 55:55Speaker 1: god mother, that's your god cousin, that's your god brother.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, you ain't. You ain't really supposed
- 56:00Speaker 1: to do nothing? All right. She said her father died
- 56:05Speaker 1: when she was two, and your best friend said she'd
- 56:07Speaker 1: always be there for your child. Everybody say that. Don't
- 56:11Speaker 1: nobody mean that. Let's just gonna be real. Who mean
- 56:17Speaker 1: that I'll always be there for your child? That means
- 56:20Speaker 1: I'll always know them? Her name Brenda, Yes, Brenda dog
- 56:29Speaker 1: but qua yes, but sheiqua. Well she has not kept
- 56:34Speaker 1: her promise. My daughter is seven years old now. She
- 56:37Speaker 1: has a spicy personality and behavioral problems. Pump your brakes
- 56:42Speaker 1: right there, SAMN year old with a spicy personality and
- 56:46Speaker 1: behavioral problems. You know what that means? This little health
- 56:53Speaker 1: for crazy SAMN. Your old little health for crazy. No,
- 56:58Speaker 1: I ain't on Steve nothing. She acts out when she's upset,
- 57:03Speaker 1: and here goes a big one. She got a problem
- 57:06Speaker 1: with being disrespectful to adults. You know why because she's
- 57:09Speaker 1: been allowed. Hello, now when I come back, here come
- 57:14Speaker 1: the truth. All right, all right, we're gonna have part
- 57:17Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after
- 57:19Speaker 1: the hour. Subject of today's Strawberry Letter, the child won't
- 57:24Speaker 1: understand this. We'll be back right after this. You're listening show,
- 57:30Speaker 1: all right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Subject the child won't understand this. Thirty four year old lady,
- 57:37Speaker 1: got a friend, been there free in twenty years, got
- 57:40Speaker 1: a little girl. The little girl father to die when
- 57:43Speaker 1: she was two. The lady that's been her free and
- 57:46Speaker 1: is her god mother. We've discussed this. That don't mean nothing.
- 57:51Speaker 1: That title, that term just a throwaway line. That's like, hey,
- 57:57Speaker 1: happy New Year. Really give a damn how your year?
- 58:03Speaker 1: We've just got this year out, sayybody, yeah, Happy New Year,
- 58:09Speaker 1: Happy New Year. It's the seventh. It's just tradition. It's
- 58:15Speaker 1: that tradition. Nobody really care. How are you today? Like,
- 58:20Speaker 1: I give a damn now, I really don't want to
- 58:23Speaker 1: know how you do today. I want you to say
- 58:25Speaker 1: I'm fine. I don't want to hear about your problems
- 58:29Speaker 1: god mother, godfather. The same thing. How you doing, how
- 58:32Speaker 1: you feeling that? We don't really want to know that now.
- 58:38Speaker 1: She says she'd always be there for the little girl,
- 58:40Speaker 1: and she ain't kept her problems. The little girl seven
- 58:43Speaker 1: years old. He got a spicy personality and behavioral problems flash.
- 58:48Speaker 1: That means it's little health of crazy. He acts out
- 58:52Speaker 1: when she's upset, okay, And she has a problem with
- 58:56Speaker 1: being disrespectful to adults. And you know why she has
- 58:58Speaker 1: a problem with beings to adults because she has been
- 59:01Speaker 1: allowed to be disrespectful to adults and it ain't been
- 59:04Speaker 1: no consequence. I have tried everything to disappline her, but
- 59:08Speaker 1: nothing has worked. Oh no, you ain't. Oh no, yeah,
- 59:15Speaker 1: you ain't did everything. If you did everything, you wouldn't
- 59:19Speaker 1: be writing this damn letter. You've tried something. What did
- 59:24Speaker 1: she try? Oh? Time out that ain't worked. Told her
- 59:32Speaker 1: she couldn't go outside. Don't nobody give a damn about that?
- 59:36Speaker 1: No more, go to your room. Hell, that's where my
- 59:42Speaker 1: computer that I'm good. Yeah, yeah, I'm not gonna get
- 59:46Speaker 1: you nothing for Christmas. Have far got a whole year
- 59:49Speaker 1: for you to change your man. I've tried everything, but
- 59:53Speaker 1: nothing has worked. You ain't tried everything. But let's move
- 59:56Speaker 1: on this past sadday. Her godmother took her to a
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: birthday party for me. Now keep in mind who took her,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: now her godmother the throwaway title. Now this same thing,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the mama took her grandmother. Her godmother took her this
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: party for me so I could rest in nurse a cold.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Penty minutes after leaving, my child walked back in the house,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: yelling at the top of her lungs at her god mother,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: You don't bring me back to this damn party. I
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: just went to the party. How you gonna bring me back?
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: You don't bring me back home? About you back oncause
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: your ass can't dry. You're back in this house because
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you don't know how to act, the godmother said. As
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: soon as she got to the party, this child of
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: mine in something. The birthday girl tell her that her
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: hand was a mess, her party decorations was terrible, that
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: her house was thinking, we gotta get this half out
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: of here. See the godmother said, I gotta get this
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: little ignorant health of out this woman, how she hid
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: this and kill everybody an here. It wasn't a little
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: girl she was concerned about. It was the little girl
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: who mama threw the party that hadn't invited Joe Poe
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: asked daughter over to the house that ain't bought the
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: damn gift. You know why because she funking and she
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: got a bad attitude. So she just over there insulting
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: some people's house. So your best friend says, she was
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: so embarrassed she drugged her daughter out the party, kicking
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: and screaming like she was posed to, because you know why,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: she the god mother. She ain't got invest no more
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: her day in this little helpful your little girl crazy.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I know my friend was very upset, but I thought
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: as an adult, she could have handled it better. Oh
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: you're talking about handled it better to the little girl.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: That's disrespectful to adults, right, You thought she could have
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: handled it better. I agree with you right there. I
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: think she could have handled it better too. Think of
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: what iuda did soon as she said something about the
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: little girl messed up here, I'd have missed her head.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Now you're both standing here with your hair all over
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: your head. How you like that? And then i'd have
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: said something about her dress. Out of threw punch on
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: her dress. Now everybody outfit messed up and out of
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: stuff to one of them balloons in her little ragged
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: ass mouth because she keeps running it. That's how out
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: of hand it. Oh, we just stayed at the party
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: because I'm not going to the party and don't get
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: no damn cake. So we got leaving this party right here.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna guessing I like going to kids party because
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: kid part of her good ad cake because some of
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: they had a little crazy ass writing on it, but
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: it'd be red velvet on the inside. So I don't
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: know why you think we'venna lead this party about this cake.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I beat your daughter ass and bought her back. But see,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you know why she don't beat your daughter ass, because
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: she just a god mother. Now she was the grandmother.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: She bought your little baby back home with a couple
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: of wounds on her ass. But she bought this looked
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: crazy health of back. A few hours later, I called
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: my best friend to see if she cool off. She
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: said she wasn't mad, but she's done with my daughter
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: for good. I'm through it. I don't want to be
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: the god mother Tyler anyway. I ain't never would be
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: damn god mother way. But you said you beat that
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: for a lot. As far as I go, I ain't
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: beat that normal. I've been there for seven years. I
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: ain't need to beat that normal. I'm just a god mother.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I ain't gonna be it no more. I won't finish
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: this letter when I come back, because I got motor sake.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I got motives sake. Go to this shoe, all right.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Poster comments on today's Strawberry Letter Steve Harvey fem on
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Instagram and Facebook. Don't forgot to check out the Struwberry
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Letter podcast on demand. Coming up. Steve has Part three
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: of the Strawberry Letter. The subject is the child won't

- 1:03:35Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So Steve
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: back to the Strawberry Letter. This is part three, by
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: the way, hart three of a letter of a seven
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: year old and ain't got no home training, behead problems,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: a folking attitude. When her godmother personality went and picked
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: up to take her to a party, for her sick
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: ass friend got to the party. Now her friend wasn't
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: really sick. Her friend knew what was gonna happen at
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: the guard at the party and decided she wasn't going
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: over to the party. Let me take somebody else to
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: the party. Take this a little crazy to help them.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Go over here and show and exactly what she did.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Took a little crazy ass over that insulted the girl's health,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: talked about the declarations and everything. Now I can't get
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: no damn cake. Now I didn't draw you way over here.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Now we're back in the house. The little up glass
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: girl coming to the house, just just just cussing everybody
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: else because you know, when you got a nasty child
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: with that hands up, spicy personality and behavior problems, ain't
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: they unattractive children? I don't care how cute the baby is.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Once they got a spicy personality and behavior problem, the
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: u lass little kids, then that's when you're started finding
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: something wrong with the kids. You look jets like your
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: damn daddy. Yeah, set up here, your glass sitting up
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: in here. You look jest like your grandmother. Caref her either,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: And she took a little ugly ass out of the house,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: insulting people like she cute seven year old little Heller
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: got behavioral problems in her spicy personality. You can beat
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: spice out of a child, you can get the spice
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: right out of date. Yeah, yeah, come on, got to
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: have behavioral problems, I have, no You be quiet, Shelley,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: You said a bed time I go to therapy. I
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: never went to there. I had a spicy ass personality
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: and I had behavioral problems, all of it at the
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: same time. Nick Harvey got rid of all of that
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: in eight nine ass whippings. I no longer had a spice,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: and I didn't have no behavioral problems because my daddy,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Nick Harvey, we ain't had no money for therapy. You're
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: not going down now, laying on the white folk couch
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: with no legal pand sharing your problem. I'm gonna beat
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: your ass until you straighten your stupid ass up. Look
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: at me, not look I had behavioral problem, my ain't
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I study? He beat me till I started stuntering. Now,
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: then she's done with your daughter for good. She denounced
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: her title as the godmother my child because it ain't
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: really no title. I ain't the godmother no more. That
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: probably gone. Now we can as a part God, we'll
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: be back with the Morning Show. You're listening Morning Show. Okay, guys,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: I don't know people if you have breakfast yet and
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: you're already thinking about what am I gonna have for lunch?
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Or maybe you're gonna make a sandwich? So Steve Jay Junior,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: y'all gonna break it down the ten best sandwiches. We're
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: gonna talk about that right now lunch. Let's go. Let
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: me hear it. I got one right up the top.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I can't think of the name of the restaurant, but
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: they make a turkey sandwich. It's good. Not only didn't
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: make the real good, they put cranberry sauce on top
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: of the tecoma man, what you might know the name
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: of that place? I can't think in the name of
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: it Penars or something that is it paro? Yes, yes, lord,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: that's a good ass sound with what you got? Hell yeah,

- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Hell yeah yeah, with chili on it and boardy to
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: sell them. Oh man, what you got? I'm getting hungry? Yeah?
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: In that same vein that that Earl Campbell hot link.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: We split that hot link with that mayo with cheese
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: on it and squeeze. Y'all have mercy. I'm gonna take
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: y'all back ten best sounds. Get that big rollers bologny
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: that your mom a bought from the store. Slice it
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: as thick as you possibly can, keep the band around it.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: It ain't right until it bubble up in the middle.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: What when when it bubble up and you put that
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: bread in that pan and put that Greek I know
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: it ain't good. That's why I'm probably a diabetic today.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: But that's a damn good as that blogey. That's a
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: good Yeah, yeah, yeah. They call that and stop six
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: over and fort Worth Bolow saying before you say it,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: stop six stop. That's that's just deep man, all right.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: He got to know your way out that this is
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: just a Cleveland sandwich. A lot of people don't know
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: about these, but that's just y'all stamn problem. I'll be
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: making them all the week long at the camp. I
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: use Earl Campbell Sausage. I put down a hot dog,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: I put a couple of crinkle cut or order fries
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: in the bottom of the hot dog. I laid the
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: hot Link sauceage on top. I put some more fries
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: on top of the hot league with a row of
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: cold slaw, and then I drizzle it in bar a
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: q sauce. That's the sandwich right there. That's called the
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Polish Boy. But when I do it at the camp,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: I called it the Clevelander. The Clevelander. Yeah, I like
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the Cleveland. What best sandwich? Hell? I want that one?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: He just said, why are you playing me too? And
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: that's something better than the sandwich. I'm about to say
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: what you got though? What you gotta tell? Oh my god,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: anybody still appreciate the magic of a grilled cheese? It
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: ain't by anybody. Yes, nothing like a grilled cheese, saying nothing?
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Since we talking about something what you can't appreciate? You
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: still can't. Whoop a really good thick ass peanut butter
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: and jealous what I'm talking about real hood, Just great
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: damn jelly with mur mur murk, not milk, murk lurk.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: You got to have cold, yes, so wash it down,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: glass of milk. Who Yeah, I ain't mad at the
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Steve good. Yeah, we got time for one more. Come on,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie to teeth man. This is good ass.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna throw out two of them, right quick.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Chick fil A, Yes, sandwich Chick fil A. It's the greatest,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: greatest fast food sandwich available. But please don't sleep on
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: that triple decker at damn Wendy's with cheese. Please. I
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: ain't had one about thirteen years, but that damn triple
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: decade windows would change. Shut up, shut up, Coming up,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: we got more music and fun on a Steve Happy
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Morning Show with twenty minutes after the hour. You're listening
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show, all right, Well, most people at
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: work right now, and you're already thinking about the end
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: of the day, right like maybe going to get a
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: drink after work or a happy hour. Well, according to
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: a new of course, I'm talking about going to my
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: next job. Yes. According to a new survey Steve by
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: the Food and Wine magazine, the booze most recommended by
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: bartenders when it's when it's time to do a shot,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: it's jack uncle, what thunderbird? Now? Now, this was a
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: pretty big survey here, with with nearly ten thousand bartenders
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: asked to give their opinions. Patron Tequila, Gray Goose Vodka
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: and Johnny Walker Scotch also ranked hi, but Jack John
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Walker Scotch man, I can't stand that. That's that's not man.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: If you drink real I don't see how anybody good stuff. Man,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: I don't see how anybody drink Johnny Walker that I can't.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: I can't do it, man, I can't do it. Maybe
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I'm not a real Scotch drinker. I don't know. But
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: at that black label and Johnny Walker about the blue label,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I don't like none of no, man, I promise you
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: down more is what I like it? Oh man, Oh yeah, yeah.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Glenn Levitt is good. Glenn Levitt or John Palmer turned
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: me on to Glenn Levitt. It's real good. Well you
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: got a high end Glenn Levitt. Tho yeah twenty one.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: All right, listen, we'll be back with more of the
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Steve coming up right after this. You're listening, all right, Junior.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: It's gonna bless us with you know, he's such a poet. Yeah,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: he's going to bless us with the birthday poem today. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I am. Yeah, I'm a poet. I'm a poet. My
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: art is what my art is, you know, I don't
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I don't care how y'all feel about this. Don't judge Yeah,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: don't judge me. I'm just I'm just doing what comes
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, I'm just coming here. And let me
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: just tell you the seat I've turned a nice number
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: now and and now life has gotten a little bit confused.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Oh I really want to hear this, you know, you know,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: And so I had expressed myself in a lot of
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: different ways. So I wrote down a bunch of things
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: for this poem that that that tells you, like how
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: life is so confusing now and okay, let you go,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: let you get that here it is. The poem is
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: called It's like, Okay, yeah, it's called It's called It's like, um,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: it's life is. It's like the unhealthy doctor with a
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: hot blood pressure. It's like the schoolteacher who own child
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: can't read. It's like the psychiatrist who has a psychiatrist.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Life is like. It's like the clown that hates kids. See.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: It's like the backslide preacher. What a side piece because
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: his birthday It ain't No, it's it's like the militant
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: black man but married to a white woman is really well,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: that's what life is like. It's confused. It's like, yeah,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: it's like the mechanic who drive a raggedy car. Why
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: it's like the police offered the are you hawked? But
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: he got two kids in jail. How life is like
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: the chef who never had no food in the refrigerator
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: and always hungry. Why are you cooking? Okay? It's like
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the stripper that goes to church every Sunday, but she
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: also lead the prayer meeting. How how How it's like
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: the over drive that you get in the car with
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: pick you up, but he asked you where we're going?
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: How that for me is what life is like. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: that's it. Yeah you don't have I didn't. It wasn't
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: like a poem. But yeah, all poems don't rhyme. I'm
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: at another level now. The true form of poetry is
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: to get to the level where it is conversation. So
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: y'all didn't notice you're listening? All right, here we go,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: last break of the day. This has been a good morning.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: All right, we're ready stay for your closing remark. Well,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: you know today, man, it's something that I was that
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: was brought to my attention. I told you ill do
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: my morning meditation and this morning, man, I got up
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: a little early and I was going over some stuff
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: and I was doing some reading. Uh uh uh this Christian?
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: What am I saying? She, this lady on the job,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: gave me as a Christmas gift. Uh Like the devotional Yeah,
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: this devotional book and the name of the book is
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Jesus Calling. You know. But when I talk to people,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: I talk to people of all faiths. I'm not trying
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: to ram my belief down your throat. I believe that
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: God is real. I believe that Dad's one God. So
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: you know, what you call him is, you'll be business.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: But that's just my belief. There's one God. We serve
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: him in different ways. It's not my judgment call to
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: make a call on anybody's way that they choose to
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: serve him. As long as you serve the true and
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: living God, that's all that matters to me. So I'm
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: talking to everybody. But one of the things I was
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: learning today, and I don't know if some of you, well,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: yes you are, because we're all guilty of it. And
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: it's something that I learned that we all have to
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: stop judging and evaluating ourselves. I want you to understand
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: what I was reading this morning and learning that we
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: all got to stop judging and evaluating salves because that's
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: not your role. Your role is not to judge or
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: evaluate yourself, and I do it all the time, man,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: But let me tell you what it does. And also,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: not only are we not supposed to judge and evaluate ourselves,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: here's the big culprit. We should all stop comparing ourselves
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: to other people. That's a huge danger man, And once
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: again I'm guilty of it too. This one was a
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: tough one for me to learn to not judge and
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: evaluate yourself because I was always taught to self evaluate
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: yourself so you learn or how to improve. But if
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: you self evaluate yourself to where as a detriment to
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: you moving forward, you're doing yourself a disservice with your
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: evaluation because in your evaluation, if you find yourself comparing
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: yourself to other people, what this does is when you
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: compare yourself to other people, check this out, it produces
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: feelings of pride or inferiority. This is what I learned
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: this morning, because if you notice it, if you compare
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: yourself to people who let's say, got more than you,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: are dressed better than you, and live in a better
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: neighborhood than you, and make more money than you then
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: guess what. You sometimes produce a feeling of inferiority, and
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: you are not inferior to this person. But here's the
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: other one. If you compare yourself to somebody who has
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: less than you, you develop a sense of superiority, and
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: you ain't superior to nobody. Man, God knows what he's
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: trying to teach us. That's the cold part, man, Like
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I say, Look, i ain't no perfect Christian. I ain't
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: to do man, I'm just telling you real how I'm
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: trying to get better in my life, in my walk
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: as a human being on this planet while I'm while
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: I'm here, I'm just trying to I'm just trying to
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: better myself with the stuff that's coming my way. And
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: if I can share what you all what I'm learning, man,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: then that's just my mission. Those of you that don't
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: accept it, I ain't ramming it down your throat, turn
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: your station, do you talk, don't go where you're going.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: I ain't trying to be mean to you. I'm doing uplifting,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: empowering stuff. I ain't telling you to join in with
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: me and hate this or hate that. I'm saying these
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: are things we could do if we stop judging and
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: evaluating ourselves, and if we stop comparing ourselves to other people,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: because guess what, God made you uniquely you you, He
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: taylor made you. Everybody's different. Your path, your walk, your
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: journey is different from everybody else's. Stop letting people put
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: you under the microscope too. You know, well, when I
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: did it this way, this is what I did. You
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: doing it that way, You're wrong. They don't know. They
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: don't know, and you don't know. But here's what I
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: do know. We are all uniquely made by our creator.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: He made all of us. That's how different we are.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: Do you know that God is so powerful that I
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: know two human beings with the same fingerprint? Hold up, man,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: wrap your mind around it. What is it? Six eight
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: billion people on the earth and none of them have
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: the same fingerprint. There have been billions of people who
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: have died and ain't none of them have the same
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: fingerprint as you. That's how unique God made you. So
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: why are you comparing yourself to somebody else? Put your
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: focus on him, what He trying to do with you
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: in your life and going to have yourself a great life.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Stop comparing yourself to other people. It's like putting your
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: fingerprinting up next today is talking about look at how
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: much the same we are you not? And God intentionally
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: made you that way and that's a good thing, you
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: being different. It's good. Those are my remarks today. Drop it,
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: you better speak why. Let's just get with yourself though,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: up in him? Why with you? Love you? Come on, man?
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: Do you you? If you just put your focus on you,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: that's your man. Your best chance to succeed is right there. Y'all.
