I'm thinking today of verse 3 of chapter 5 of the book of Ephesians.

It says, but do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you

as is proper among saints.

And there must be no filthiness and silly talk or coarse jesting which are not fitting,

but rather giving of thanks.

I think it's interesting that the proper activity of the saints is the giving of thanks.

And when we get wrapped up in doing the things that the world is doing, we forget to be giving

thanks.

And while we're doing those things, we're doing those things that are not proper for

the saints.

If you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you know where you're going.

You don't need to participate in the world system of finding entertainment.

You don't need to participate in the world system of comedy or coarse jesting.

Turn it all off.

Don't let it affect your mind.

Don't let it enter your ears.

We will stand firm and we will serve Jesus when we remember the way we are to conduct
