- 0:01Amen. God bless you. You may be seated.
- 0:04This is the day the Lord has made and I
- 0:06will rejoice and be glad in it.
- 0:11>> Amen and amen. I don't know where you
- 0:13got that little picture from.
- 0:17[laughter]
- 0:18Can we celebrate this woman of faith and
- 0:22woman of God again? Can we do that?
- 0:25>> THIS REAL QUICK. GOD'S GETTING READY TO
- 0:27DO Totally
- 0:32amazing.
- 0:34Everything that has been done has been
- 0:36done first class which is a reflection
- 0:39of who you are and reflection of what
- 0:43you know you have meant to so many many
- 0:45people. And so um uh we celebrate you
- 0:49today. And can we celebrate this church
- 0:52that has gone all out? [applause]
- 0:55[music]
- 1:00I mean, you you took you took retirement
- 1:03to a whole another level today.
- 1:05>> And Taurus is happy and the boys are
- 1:08happy and their wives are happy.
- 1:10[laughter]
- 1:11Amen. Amen. Amen.
- 1:15So, uh, we honor you today. It was my
- 1:17joy to be here. And I know you've been
- 1:19talking about it. You told me, "Don't
- 1:20you put nothing on that date. Don't you
- 1:22put nothing on that date." And so we're
- 1:24here and we're so happy to be here. And
- 1:27of course, uh, can you all just, uh,
- 1:29celebrate, uh, my partner in ministry
- 1:31for 50 years,
- 1:33>> Lady Bal,
- 1:37[music]
- 1:39Hallelujah.
- 1:43for all of the pastors and leaders,
- 1:46especially pastors who took out their
- 1:49time uh from their churches on Sunday
- 1:52morning to come and be here. Um I'm
- 1:55we're just all honored that you did that
- 1:57and you made your sister in Christ feel
- 1:59real good when she could look out and
- 2:02see uh the the amazing sacrifice that
- 2:05you made by being here today. Amen.
- 2:08Amen.
- 2:08>> And so, uh, I also want to just say
- 2:11from, uh, New Light, New Life, uh, you
- 2:14know, I have restructured. I didn't
- 2:16retire. I restructured and I speak
- 2:18restructure on you. You can't quit
- 2:20preaching, lady.
- 2:21>> Now, you can't know. So, we, we call
- 2:23this retirement, but slashreststructure.
- 2:27>> Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord.
- 2:30And so uh um our pastor, my my daughter
- 2:33is the pastor and she loves some Bishop
- 2:38O'Neal.
- 2:40>> She I mean she really loves Bishop
- 2:43O'Neal and uh I want to thank you Bishop
- 2:46on behalf of New Light and my daughter
- 2:49for being there for us when we needed
- 2:51you.
- 2:53>> Y'all don't know about it.
- 2:56[applause]
- 2:58Bishop does. Thank you there. Uh our
- 3:01family thanks you for being there for us
- 3:04>> when we needed you.
- 3:06>> Amen. And if I put a hashtag, I'd say
- 3:09real daughter.
- 3:13[applause]
- 3:17>> So I think I've covered everything I
- 3:19wanted to cover before we get into the
- 3:21word. And I'm not going to hold y'all
- 3:23long, but I do need my water.
- 3:25>> Amen.
- 3:25>> I think I started it. Yeah, I do need my
- 3:28water. And um I'm going to pray. Would
- 3:31you stand? I'm going to pray and then we
- 3:32going to get into this.
- 3:35>> Amen.
- 3:35>> Thank you, Lord.
- 3:39>> Now, let's have a smiling exercise.
- 3:41Turn. Look at the person next to you.
- 3:42Smile real big. Show them your pretty
- 3:44whites, your 32s, 22s, tens, whatever
- 3:49you got left. Amen.
- 3:55Father, in the name of Jesus, want to
- 3:57thank you for this time together as we
- 4:00celebrate this woman of faith and this
- 4:03church. And we celebrate, Father, we
- 4:06thank you for the precious Holy Spirit
- 4:08who is our teacher and our guide. And we
- 4:11believe he will manifest himself today
- 4:13as the teacher causing the complex to be
- 4:16made simple. It is our prayer today,
- 4:19Father, since you know us name by name
- 4:22and situation by situation that you will
- 4:24tailor this word for every individual.
- 4:27That is our prayer. So in advance, we
- 4:30give you alone the praise, the glory,
- 4:32the honor, and the adoration for all
- 4:35that shall be accomplished, all that
- 4:37shall be revealed in Jesus' name. And
- 4:41the people said,
- 4:42>> "Amen."
- 4:42>> And the people shouted,
- 4:44>> "Amen."
- 4:45>> Hallelujah. God bless you. You may be
- 4:47seated there in the I think they will
- 4:49use the screen and help me. But those of
- 4:52you have your Bibles, we're going to
- 4:53start off with Ephesians 3 and 20. And
- 4:57then we have a dual text, Romans chapter
- 4:594. And there now unto him that is able
- 5:02to do exceeding abundantly above all
- 5:06that we ask or think according to the
- 5:08power that workketh in us. And then uh
- 5:13our anchoring scripture is going to be
- 5:15found there in Romans chapter 4. Who
- 5:17against hope believed in hope that he
- 5:20might become the father of many nations
- 5:23according to that which was spoken so
- 5:26shall thy seed be. And being not weak in
- 5:29faith, he considered not his own body
- 5:31now dead,
- 5:33>> which is about 100 years old. Neither
- 5:37neither yet the deadness of Sarah's
- 5:39womb.
- 5:41He staggered not at the promise of God
- 5:44through unbelief,
- 5:45>> but was strong in faith, giving glory to
- 5:48God, and being fully persuaded
- 5:52>> that what he had promised, he was able
- 5:55also to perform.
- 5:57>> Here's what we're going to talk about.
- 5:59Living an audacious life.
- 6:04>> Living an audacious life. A life of
- 6:07believing. a life of boldness and a life
- 6:11of breakthrough. Now, I know that sounds
- 6:14kind of arrogant.
- 6:16But it's not really arrogance. It's
- 6:18really assurance
- 6:20>> because God wants us to be audacious.
- 6:24Everybody say audacious.
- 6:26>> Audacious.
- 6:26>> And it's about having the courage to
- 6:28buck the odds,
- 6:30>> the courage to believe what God's word
- 6:33says. You know, the choir just finished
- 6:35singing believe. and it's like we got
- 6:37together but we really didn't. It's the
- 6:39Holy Spirit that's orchestrating it. But
- 6:41when we talk about an audacious person,
- 6:44audacious, we're saying a person who
- 6:47will look at the odds and say that does
- 6:50not define me. When you look into the
- 6:53hall of faith, all of the people in the
- 6:55hall of faith there in Hebrews are
- 6:58people who were audacious.
- 7:01>> Yeah.
- 7:01>> Dared to believe, dared to act and got
- 7:06results.
- 7:07>> In the contemporary
- 7:09hall of faith, Bishop Rosie is there.
- 7:14But the odds,
- 7:16>> dared to believe,
- 7:18>> dared to take steps others would not
- 7:20take and got results. Can we applaud our
- 7:24audacious person today?
- 7:28[applause]
- 7:30Now we are here to celebrate HER BUT HER
- 7:33LIFE IS LIKE an example even as the life
- 7:36of those who are in the scripture uh
- 7:39serves as an example for those who are
- 7:43really saying can I make it
- 7:47>> there are those who have
- 7:49oh it's okay right here
- 8:02>> [clears throat]
- 8:03>> There are those people who are saying,
- 8:05"Can I make it?
- 8:07>> Can I do it?"
- 8:09>> The kingdom of God does not need
- 8:13cautious people.
- 8:17The kingdom of God needs people who are
- 8:21audacious with their faith,
- 8:23>> who will dare to believe,
- 8:27>> and who will dare to say God can do
- 8:30exactly what he said he would do.
- 8:34>> And that is what is the key to stepping
- 8:37beyond your comfort zone. stepping
- 8:41beyond the comparison you are you are
- 8:44making with the status quo. And so we're
- 8:48going to celebrate her, but we're going
- 8:50to we're going to be inspired by her
- 8:52when you look at everything she has
- 8:54done. Oh my god, she is definitely
- 8:58audacious.
- 9:00>> Amen. And amen. And amen. Now, I'm not
- 9:04going to be long. I only have two
- 9:05points, but I got sub points under the
- 9:07two points.
- 9:09First point is noteworthy. What I call
- 9:12the noteworthiness of audacious uh
- 9:15living or the audacious life. And and
- 9:18then we're going to talk about the
- 9:19necessity of it.
- 9:20>> Yeah.
- 9:21>> All right. Now, in 1980, I'm uh 28 years
- 9:25old. Praise the Lord.
- 9:27>> Amen. 1980, I'm [clears throat] 28 years
- 9:30old, and I'm in a little raggedy,
- 9:31rundown building, and uh that's where I
- 9:35got my start.
- 9:37>> Yes, sir.
- 9:37>> Yeah. And um I'm the laughingtock of the
- 9:41community. I had gone through a church
- 9:43fight and uh I was feeling pretty sad
- 9:47about myself and my future. And the Lord
- 9:50talked to me there. He told me he had
- 9:53great things for me, but I had to be
- 9:56bold. Now, he didn't give me the word
- 9:58audacious back then, but he told me I
- 10:00had to be bold and I wanted to go back
- 10:03in industry, but he said no. He said,
- 10:07"I'm going to teach you how to trust me.
- 10:09I'm going to teach you how to live by
- 10:11faith."
- 10:12>> I didn't really want to be I didn't want
- 10:14to do that. I want to go back in the
- 10:16industry. I knew how to make these
- 10:17monies
- 10:19[laughter]
- 10:20and and I and I didn't believe God could
- 10:22take care of me at the level I wanted to
- 10:26be taken care of because I did not know
- 10:29any preachers that were where I wanted
- 10:32to be.
- 10:35Y'all can judge me if you want to. It
- 10:36don't matter right now.
- 10:40>> So, so, so, so, uh, I was a reluctant
- 10:42student, uh, but I obeyed.
- 10:46>> But I had to have this kind of faith.
- 10:48God taught me to believe
- 10:51um, beyond my circumstances, believe
- 10:55beyond what I could figure out because
- 10:58God is able. Yes.
- 11:03>> And as a result of taking bold steps, we
- 11:07went from one level to another. Now,
- 11:09only reason I'm doing this because I'm
- 11:11presenting to some my resume.
- 11:16>> So, I'm not teaching audacious faith and
- 11:19not being a representative of the
- 11:22audacious faith community.
- 11:27>> And and [clears throat and laughter] put
- 11:28the next picture up there. So we move
- 11:30from there. Uh now that's inside. No,
- 11:33let's go to Jensen. We seen nothing.
- 11:35Yeah. Now that's great. I thought I made
- 11:38it then. And God said, "No, I've got
- 11:40much more." Had I stopped then, it
- 11:43required audacious spade from there. Put
- 11:45the next f photo up there. Yes. Inside.
- 11:48Because from the little raggedy building
- 11:50to that building and on television
- 11:54>> in less than three years.
- 11:57Now, television back then wasn't like it
- 11:59is now. You know, like you can go on
- 12:02YouTube and all that. No, no, no, no,
- 12:03no. You had to have you had to have
- 12:05these monies.
- 12:09Amen.
- 12:11But in less than two years, from a
- 12:14little raggedy rundown building to being
- 12:17on television in a major city in America
- 12:21because I had to be what's the word?
- 12:23>> Oh, y'all got it. Y we are. Let's go to
- 12:26the next prayer. Next. Next. Next photo.
- 12:28Next photo. Next photo. Yes. Audacious
- 12:31faith
- 12:32>> produced in 33 years.
- 12:36>> A million square ft of property,
- 12:39500 acres of land.
- 12:42>> And we grew from 23 to 28,000.
- 12:45>> But every step required
- 12:48audacious faith. Believing beyond
- 12:52statistics. Believing beyond what folks
- 12:56said could be done.
- 12:58>> Believing beyond prejudices.
- 13:01>> Trusting God knowing that God's able.
- 13:05>> Bible teaches us that be not slothful,
- 13:08but followers of them who through faith
- 13:10and patience inherited promises.
- 13:12>> It is the order of God to teach us and
- 13:15to train us by example. I got to keep my
- 13:17[clears throat] time because I don't
- 13:19want to go too over time because you
- 13:20know Yes. I should have had Y'all don't
- 13:22have a clock in here. You should have
- 13:24had clock in here preaching like me. Got
- 13:26to have a clock. Okay. Yeah. All right.
- 13:29All right. All right. Watch. We good. We
- 13:31good though. We good. If I can just get
- 13:33my my phone.
- 13:37Amen.
- 13:39>> Now,
- 13:41here's here's my point. Because it takes
- 13:44some audaciousness,
- 13:46living the audacious life to climb out
- 13:49of whatever situation you're in.
- 13:53>> Some of you are believing for homes.
- 13:55Some of you are believing to send your
- 13:57kids to school
- 13:58>> and nobody in your co in your family has
- 14:00gone to college. Some of you are
- 14:03believing to to do that that you know to
- 14:06to start that business and all of that.
- 14:09But yet when you look at the statistics,
- 14:13they are in your odds. They are against
- 14:16you.
- 14:17>> But I'm here today to tell you from the
- 14:20from the word of God, as we will also
- 14:22learn from the reflection of this uh
- 14:25this this audacious person who's trying
- 14:27to retire.
- 14:33It's possible. Everybody say it's
- 14:34possible.
- 14:35>> It's possible.
- 14:35>> All right. Number one, we're going to
- 14:37look at what I call the traits of an a
- 14:40of an audacious person. The audacious
- 14:42life. Number one, it's a life of
- 14:44defiance. Y'all put that up there. Yeah.
- 14:46Yeah. It the traits. Yeah. Go to the
- 14:48next one. Yes. Did y'all put them all
- 14:50three of them? Y'all put put them up
- 14:51there. Well, it's audacious faith. You
- 14:54have to defy the odds. Abraham looked at
- 14:56his situation, but he did not let that
- 14:58define him. It's a life of defiance. He
- 15:02hoped against hope.
- 15:03>> Right? It is a life of um of
- 15:06determination.
- 15:08>> You have to determine that you're going
- 15:11to win. What do you mean determine?
- 15:13You're going to live in your future.
- 15:15>> You might as well live in a future that
- 15:17you plan.
- 15:19>> Look at the person next to you and say,
- 15:20"You're going to live in your future."
- 15:22>> You might as well live in a future
- 15:25>> that you plan.
- 15:28>> The audacious life is a life of
- 15:30durability. The Bible says he staggered
- 15:33not at the promise of unbelief.
- 15:36>> He staggered. HE DID NOT MAKE the
- 15:38mistake that Thomas made. Thomas
- 15:41staggered. Why did he staggered? Because
- 15:43his criteria for believing was flawed.
- 15:47>> He said, "If I can examine him, I will
- 15:52believe. What's up?
- 15:53>> If I can touch him, if I can put my
- 15:56finger in that hole that was in his
- 15:58hand, if I can put my hand in the hole
- 16:02that was in his side, I will believe.
- 16:06Believing is a matter of your will. You
- 16:09can will to believe or you can will not
- 16:12to believe. That's powerful because the
- 16:16Bible says if you can believe all things
- 16:19are possible to him that believeth. So
- 16:23possibility for you is not defined by
- 16:26what others have done or whether others
- 16:29have not done. Possibility for you is
- 16:32defined by your capacity to believe.
- 16:36>> So if you can't believe things become
- 16:39possible for you. Amen and amen. Now, so
- 16:44what Thomas had, his flawed criteria
- 16:47was, I got to touch him to believe.
- 16:50Well, Bible says eight days later, Jesus
- 16:52appeared. Come here, Thomas. Put your
- 16:54hand in my side. Put your finger in the
- 16:57hole in my hand. Thomas starts shouting.
- 16:59Jesus shut him down. He said, "No, no,
- 17:01no, no, Thomas." Uh uh uh. He said, "I'm
- 17:03not going to stay around here long
- 17:04enough. Everybody touch me and examine
- 17:07me." And then he said, "Blessed are
- 17:09those who will believe and have not
- 17:12seen."
- 17:14>> So he's saying here that believing is to
- 17:17accept something as a fact even though
- 17:20you have no sens.
- 17:22The evidence we have is what the word of
- 17:25God says.
- 17:28>> So then now audaciousness, the audacious
- 17:31life is a life of of determination. It's
- 17:35a life of defying the odds. It's a life
- 17:38of durability. And it is a life of
- 17:41devotion. The Bible says in verse 20
- 17:44there, "And giving glory to God."
- 17:49>> See, you give glory while you're
- 17:51waiting. You don't wait to give glory
- 17:53until you see the results.
- 17:58>> Audacious faith. Now let's go through
- 18:01the hall of faith and just look at the
- 18:04some of the testimonies. The Bible says
- 18:06they overcame by the blood of the lamb
- 18:09which is our covenant. But then he says
- 18:12they overcame by the word of their
- 18:15>> testimony. Testimonies are good. Amen.
- 18:19Testimonies are good because every time
- 18:22I hear a testimony of what God has done,
- 18:26I understand he can do the same for me.
- 18:30Amen and amen. So audacious faith
- 18:34believes when everything around looks
- 18:38hopeless. Believes when others quit.
- 18:42Believes. And we have the God-given
- 18:45capacity to believe.
- 18:48>> Amen and amen. Well, Moses is on the
- 18:51testimony block now. And Moses is
- 18:54audacious because he believed he could
- 18:57stretch out his rod and the water would
- 18:59part.
- 19:02>> Amen. David is on the testimony stand.
- 19:06He's audacious because he's audacious in
- 19:09his confrontation. He's willing to fight
- 19:12a giant that never lost a battle.
- 19:15>> And because he believed he won. Amen.
- 19:20Then Esther, can we call Esther and let
- 19:23Esther testify? Esther testifies because
- 19:27she was audacious in her advocacy. What
- 19:31do you mean? She was bold enough to
- 19:33believe that even though it doesn't look
- 19:36good, I can step forward and be the
- 19:39advocate for the innocent and win. Peter
- 19:44is on the testimony stand now and Peter
- 19:47is audacious in his action
- 19:51>> because on the words of Jesus while
- 19:53others was in the boat he steps out of
- 19:56the boat
- 19:58>> and he walks on water. Now I don't think
- 20:00you heard me.
- 20:02>> Ezekiel was great but he never walked on
- 20:04water.
- 20:05>> Daniel was awesome but he never walked
- 20:07on water. Three Hebrew boys never walked
- 20:10on water. When you GO THROUGH THE TEXT,
- 20:12NOBODY'S WALKING ON THE water but Jesus
- 20:16and Peter because of audacious faith.
- 20:20>> Joshua is on the stand. Why? Because he
- 20:23had an audacious strategy.
- 20:27>> Doesn't make sense. HIS STRATEGY THAT HE
- 20:29GOT from God that was to just to walk
- 20:32around the wall and God would give him
- 20:34the victory. It takes audaciousness to
- 20:38believe that I can walk around the world
- 20:41and never raise my sword and get the
- 20:44victory.
- 20:45>> Elijah is on the stand and he's
- 20:48audacious BECAUSE HE BELIEVED HE COULD
- 20:51CALL DOWN fire
- 20:53>> and fire would fall.
- 20:55>> Three Hebrew boys are on the stand
- 20:57because they were audacious to say,
- 20:59"King, if you don't put us in THE FIRE,
- 21:02WE STILL AIN'T going to bow." And even
- 21:04though in the fire, they were audacious
- 21:07enough to believe they would get out.
- 21:09And Jesus visited them.
- 21:11>> Yeah. Audacious faith. Audaciousness.
- 21:14Yeah. The woman with the issue of blood.
- 21:16Audacious in her pursuit. She pressed
- 21:19THROUGH THE CROWD BELIEVING IF I CAN
- 21:21JUST TOUCH THE HIM. [laughter] YEAH.
- 21:24AUDACIOUSNESS. AMEN. And amen. You know,
- 21:27I could go on, but for time's sake, just
- 21:29let me stop here. I could talk about
- 21:32Nehemiah, but I want to do that. I could
- 21:34talk about Caleb in his old age being
- 21:36audacious, but I don't want to do that.
- 21:38I'm almost on my last point.
- 21:43>> The last point is the necessity of the
- 21:46audacious life.
- 21:49H
- 21:51>> yeah, it's on it's it's necessary
- 21:54because God needs audacious believers
- 21:58>> to inspire others.
- 22:01>> Now, y'all think y'all missed it.
- 22:04He needs audacious believers
- 22:08>> in every generation
- 22:11>> so they can inspire those who are
- 22:13sitting on the sidelines saying, "I
- 22:16don't know if I can do it."
- 22:18>> Amen and amen. Amen. God depends on the
- 22:22courageous faith of believers who will
- 22:25partner with him so that they can see
- 22:28him move supernaturally
- 22:31>> because God just can't do anything he
- 22:33wants to do. He has designed the system
- 22:36where he needs human permission and
- 22:39human participation.
- 22:41>> Yeah. So what he's saying, what I'm
- 22:43saying to you now is for you to be where
- 22:46you want to be. God says he's ready. But
- 22:49are you willing to be bold in your
- 22:53believing? That's the key. Amen and
- 22:56amen. All right. So the you need
- 22:59audacity. Those of you who may be taking
- 23:01[clears throat] notes, you need audacity
- 23:03to defeat adversity.
- 23:06>> You need audacity. I'm going to give
- 23:08them to you and I go back. You need
- 23:10audacity uh um uh I call it an audacious
- 23:14resolve to develop you know uh uh to
- 23:19yeah let me put it like this you you
- 23:22need it so that you can have determined
- 23:25action
- 23:27under pressure.
- 23:30>> Everybody say under pressure.
- 23:31>> Under pressure.
- 23:32>> You need to get audacious. Watch. Watch
- 23:36this. So that you have this divine
- 23:40assurance. You know a lot of times when
- 23:41you have assurance when you have a
- 23:43confidence people call you arrogant.
- 23:48>> They do they call you arrogant but
- 23:50that's all right. We know it's just our
- 23:52assurance.
- 23:54>> It's just our assurance. And so when we
- 23:57look at these to defeat adversity,
- 24:01>> first of all, situation adversity
- 24:04when things don't look good.
- 24:09>> Amen. Everybody say situation adversity.
- 24:11>> Situation adversity.
- 24:13>> David faces a giant never lost battle.
- 24:15Everybody else is afraid. Those are not
- 24:18good quote winning conditions,
- 24:21>> right?
- 24:22>> So I need to be audacious. That's what I
- 24:24mean. I need to believe it's possible. I
- 24:26need to believe God's with me. I believe
- 24:28that whatever God said he'll do, he'll
- 24:30do. Even if everybody else is doubting,
- 24:34>> Jehoshaphat
- 24:38adversity,
- 24:40>> situational adversity,
- 24:41>> three armies against him,
- 24:43>> not knowing what to do. Paul and Silas,
- 24:46situation adversity. God told him, "Go
- 24:49start a church."
- 24:50>> And now here they are in jail.
- 24:54So, I'm saying you may be in a bad
- 24:56situation,
- 24:57>> but that's all right.
- 24:59>> THAT'S THE SETUP FOR MIRACLES.
- 25:02>> That's the setup for your breakthrough.
- 25:04[applause]
- 25:05Amen. And the Bible teaches us on the
- 25:09ever on the other side. Everybody say
- 25:11other side.
- 25:11>> Other side.
- 25:12>> THE ON THE OTHER SIDE of adverse
- 25:15situations
- 25:17>> is a victory.
- 25:20>> Watch this. and you always come out
- 25:22better.
- 25:24>> Well, see, see, some of y'all, you got
- 25:26to believe that. See, you you got to
- 25:28believe in the midst of your struggle,
- 25:30in the midst of the situation, I'm
- 25:33coming out better.
- 25:37>> It's all throughout the scripture. It
- 25:38says, "NOW FOR YOUR SHAME, YOU'LL GET
- 25:40DOUBLE."
- 25:41>> But that's not what people see, the will
- 25:43of God, though expressed in the word of
- 25:45God does not automatically come to pass.
- 25:47>> Right?
- 25:49So what most people do is they get
- 25:51through it and go, "Praise the Lord."
- 25:55And the Lord is over HERE SAYING, "COME
- 25:56ON, GET YOUR DOUBLE."
- 25:58>> STAY IN FAITH FOR YOUR DOUBLE.
- 26:02>> HALLELUJAH.
- 26:03>> So now, not only do you need faith uh
- 26:06that this audaciousness for um uh uh
- 26:09situational adversity, but also to face
- 26:14uh spiritual adversaries.
- 26:17>> Amen.
- 26:18Everybody say spiritual adversary.
- 26:20>> Spiritual adversary.
- 26:21>> WE DON'T BACK down from the devil's
- 26:24fight.
- 26:25>> The gates of
- 26:27>> hell can't stop us.
- 26:29>> But do you believe it?
- 26:32>> Look at the person and say he I believe
- 26:34it. Come on. Tell my brother.
- 26:39And then we need audacious faith and
- 26:42audacious living when it comes to
- 26:45defeating self-imposed limitations.
- 26:48>> Oh, that's good.
- 26:50>> Every person, well, not every most of
- 26:52the people in the Bible had this this
- 26:54self-imposed limitation. Moses talking
- 26:56about he I can't talk. Are you talking
- 26:57to God?
- 27:01>> Gideon says I you CAN'T USE ME. MY
- 27:03FAMILY IS THE WORST FAMILY AROUND.
- 27:06Jeremiah said, "Oh, I'm I'm nothing but
- 27:08a child." All throughout the Bible,
- 27:10>> people had to overcome
- 27:13>> their own
- 27:14>> selfimposed
- 27:16limitation.
- 27:18>> That's right.
- 27:18>> And so there you are. I I can't do it
- 27:21because this I can't do IT CUZ I DROPPED
- 27:24OUT of school. I can't do it cuz I got
- 27:26all these children. I can't do it. You
- 27:28got all of these self-imposed. But
- 27:30here's why the audacious life works.
- 27:33Because it's not dependent on you.
- 27:37>> It's dependent on him.
- 27:40>> You got to have the conict [laughter]
- 27:42the conviction. The conviction, watch
- 27:44this, of God's ability to work.
- 27:46Everybody say, "God's ability."
- 27:48>> God's ability.
- 27:49>> You have to have the conviction of the
- 27:51accuracy of the word. THE WORD SAYS IT.
- 27:55THE word [laughter]
- 27:56and his he honors his word. Abraham said
- 28:00he was ABLE TO PERFORM WHAT HE PROMISED.
- 28:05>> You got to have the conviction uh
- 28:07believing the accounts of the witnesses.
- 28:11>> Oh my.
- 28:12>> Are you getting this?
- 28:13>> The ability of God to work.
- 28:16>> Accuracy of his word, accounts of his
- 28:19witnesses, AND ANGELS DOING GOD'S WILL.
- 28:24>> Everybody say, "Angels."
- 28:25>> Angels
- 28:26>> doing God's will.
- 28:27>> Doing God's will. You got to believe in
- 28:29angels. They You got one. Amen. Some of
- 28:32you got more than one in in certain
- 28:34situations. And watch this. The
- 28:37accuracy. Watch it. No. The assurance of
- 28:40God's will. Now, what do you mean by
- 28:42that? God's willingness.
- 28:45>> I discovered
- 28:48>> God wants to.
- 28:50>> Oh, y'all didn't even get that.
- 28:54>> You ain't got to begging.
- 28:59He wants to
- 29:00>> He wants to.
- 29:02>> I found out that he wants to. I grew up
- 29:06in a church setting where they begged
- 29:07him, "Oh, please. Oh, please. Oh, but
- 29:10but I found out he's ready,
- 29:13>> willing,
- 29:15>> and able."
- 29:16>> Amen. And amen.
- 29:19>> I'm I'm just about ready to to wrap this
- 29:22up because all I wanted to do today was
- 29:24to inspire you. that hey yes we are
- 29:28seeing and we are seeing a contemporary
- 29:31example of audacious living.
- 29:34>> I I've watched the progression of her
- 29:37ministry.
- 29:39>> What a great celebration it is today.
- 29:42>> But I want you to be able to say so can
- 29:46I. No not necessarily building ministry
- 29:50but my dreams can come to pass.
- 29:54that what God promised me in the word
- 29:58>> and watch this stepping forward. Watch
- 30:00this. Denying circumstances. The Bible
- 30:03says he considered not he he was not in
- 30:06denial but he did not let circumstances
- 30:11shut off his faith
- 30:12>> and define his future.
- 30:15>> Amen and amen.
- 30:17>> You got to choose to believe.
- 30:20>> May I start my closing?
- 30:31A story is told.
- 30:35>> The story is told of
- 30:37two trees
- 30:39growing in the forest.
- 30:43>> One was a giant oak tree.
- 30:46>> Uhhuh.
- 30:47>> And the other tree was a young tree.
- 30:51Young oak tree.
- 30:53growing next to him.
- 30:56>> Oak trees are known for their
- 30:58durability,
- 30:59>> their stamina,
- 31:01>> so this young oak tree, while he's
- 31:03growing, he's asking the question to the
- 31:06old oak tree.
- 31:08>> Year after year, am I an oak tree?
- 31:12>> Looked at him and said, not yet.
- 31:14>> Not yet. [clears throat]
- 31:17>> Years went by. The young oak tree then
- 31:20says again,
- 31:22"Am I an oak tree?"
- 31:25>> The old oak tree says,
- 31:27>> "Not yet."
- 31:28>> Not yet.
- 31:30>> He argues with him. He says, "I'm as
- 31:34tall as you are."
- 31:36>> God.
- 31:37>> But the old priest says,
- 31:39"Not yet." He said, "No, no, no. My
- 31:42limbs are as broad as yours."
- 31:46Yes sir. Yes sir.
- 31:48>> And the old oak old tree says
- 31:50>> not yet.
- 31:51>> Not yet.
- 31:53>> HE AUGUST I PROVIDE SHADE JUST LIKE YOU
- 31:56DO. But he says
- 31:58>> not yet.
- 31:59>> Not yet.
- 32:00>> Then a storm comes
- 32:02>> and knock trees down all over the forest
- 32:06>> causes even the old oak tree to bend
- 32:09under the weight of the storm.
- 32:14The young oak tree is also bent under
- 32:18the weight of the storm.
- 32:21>> But after the storm passes,
- 32:24>> the old oak tree straighten himself out.
- 32:30>> Shook its limb. Yes, sir. [cheering]
- 32:33>> Stood tall.
- 32:36>> And looked down
- 32:37>> at the old at the young oak tree.
- 32:40He watched the young oak tree struggle
- 32:45>> stand
- 32:47>> and stretch his limbs.
- 32:51>> And then he looked
- 32:53>> and he said, "Today
- 32:55>> you are
- 32:57>> AN OAK TREE."
- 33:02>> [applause]
- 33:04>> I WANT TO CLOSE WITH this
- 33:07>> because Rosie sir,
- 33:10>> I've watched you
- 33:13>> and I want to say today,
- 33:16>> you are an oak tree. [cheering]
- 33:19>> Can I get a witness in the house?
- 33:22In the area of teaching,
- 33:25>> you are
- 33:27>> an oak tree.
- 33:29>> In the area of preaching, yes, sir,
- 33:32>> you are an oak tree.
- 33:35>> In the area of family,
- 33:37>> yes, sir,
- 33:38>> you are
- 33:39>> an oak tree.
- 33:40>> Yes, sir.
- 33:41>> In the area of leadership,
- 33:44>> sir.
- 33:45>> You are an oak tree.
- 33:48>> I'm here to announce
- 33:50>> Yes, sir. In the area of boldness,
- 33:55>> you are an oak tree.
- 33:58>> In the area of a worshipper,
- 34:01>> you are an oak tree.
- 34:05>> In the area of overcoming,
- 34:09>> can I get a witness?
- 34:11>> You are an oak tree.
- 34:14>> I'm here to tell you today.
- 34:17>> Can I celebrate just a little bit?
- 34:19I'm here to tell you today
- 34:22>> you stand as an oak tree
- 34:25>> and I'm happy to announce
- 34:28>> that you are an oak tree.
- 34:31>> You know I I start preaching when I was
- 34:34young.
- 34:36>> And I wish when I was young I could
- 34:39close like the old guys clothes.
- 34:42>> Here's how they would close. Hallelujah.
- 34:44>> I lived long enough. Yes, sir.
- 34:47>> But I was only 12 years old,
- 34:50>> but I've been around a little bit. Yes,
- 34:52sir.
- 34:53>> I'm 73 now.
- 34:55>> I think I've earned the right
- 34:57>> Yes, sir.
- 34:58>> to make this testimony.
- 35:01>> I've lived
- 35:04>> long enough
- 35:06>> to know that God will. [cheering]
- 35:09>> He will make a way.
- 35:12I've lived [screaming]
- 35:14>> long enough
- 35:16>> and I can tell you
- 35:18>> with conviction
- 35:20>> with coniction.
- 35:21>> There is
- 35:23>> there is
- 35:25>> no shadow
- 35:27>> he won't light up.
- 35:30>> There is
- 35:32no mountain
- 35:35>> that he won't climb up.
- 35:38coming after you.
- 35:41There is
- 35:44>> no wall
- 35:46>> he won't kick down
- 35:49>> and no lie
- 35:51>> that he won't tear down
- 35:54coming after you.
- 35:57>> IT IS NO SECRET
- 36:00>> all
- 36:02what God can do.
- 36:05What he's done for us, he will
- 36:10>> do for you. I'm out of time.
- 36:21[music]
- 36:29>> Has thou not known?
- 36:31>> Had thou not heard? God the everlasting
- 36:34father.
- 36:36>> Creator of the ends of the earth
- 36:39>> faintth not,
- 36:41>> neither is he weary.
- 36:43>> And there is no searching of his
- 36:44understanding. Yes, sir.
- 36:46>> He giveth power
- 36:48>> to the faint.
- 36:50>> And to them who have no might,
- 36:52>> Yes, sir.
- 36:52>> He increasth strength.
- 36:55>> Even the youth shall faint
- 36:57>> and be weary.
- 36:58>> Yes, sir.
- 36:59>> And the young men shall utterly fall.
- 37:02But they that wait,
- 37:05>> they that wait
- 37:07upon the Lord.
- 37:10>> Yeah. [music]
- 37:12>> Hallelujah.
- 37:18Father, we thank you for this word is
- 37:19falling on good ground
- 37:22>> and it produces fruit and we thank you
- 37:24for the boldness to move forward
- 37:27>> in Jesus name pursuing our dreams
- 37:32>> using this example before us.
- 37:35>> Thank you Jesus
- 37:36>> knowing that it is no secret
- 37:38>> what you can do
- 37:40>> in Jesus name.
- 37:41>> Amen.
- 37:43And
- 37:43>> amen.
