- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join Jo. You gotta turn you. You got
- 1:25Speaker 1: to turn the turnmown. You got to turn them out
- 1:45Speaker 1: to turn the water. The water got me come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your back. I shall well a good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only, Steve Harvey, I got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Somebody sent me an email one day that, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 1: kind of a nasty little email, you know, I think
- 2:19Speaker 1: I said it wants to before Steve Harvey trying to
- 2:21Speaker 1: be a preacher. Man, I'm so far from being a preacher. Man,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I can't even tell you. But what I am trying
- 2:29Speaker 1: to do is share information. Now. I understand how haters work,
- 2:32Speaker 1: and I understand how the devil works. Believe me, I
- 2:35Speaker 1: do you know? Sometimes even heat, the devil surprises me
- 2:43Speaker 1: at the level and the angles of attack they use,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you know which, I go, wow, man, I didn't I
- 2:49Speaker 1: didn't see that one. Oh that was pretty slick. I
- 2:51Speaker 1: gotta get credit on that. We try to get me.
- 2:54Speaker 1: But every time you try to get me, I get saved.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I get saved every time, man, because because God got me,
- 3:04Speaker 1: God got some angels camped around me. That's what my
- 3:08Speaker 1: mom used to always say as a Sunday school teacher.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Never really understood it, but you know when I was
- 3:12Speaker 1: growing up as a kid, but I got it. Now.
- 3:14Speaker 1: He got some angels around me. And angels come into
- 3:18Speaker 1: form sometimes of people, people who pull your coat to this,
- 3:22Speaker 1: or introduce you to that, or reveal some information to
- 3:26Speaker 1: you like this. He got them all around me. So see,
- 3:30Speaker 1: having a relationship with God has been beneficial to me, y'all.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's not just that what he gives to me, but
- 3:41Speaker 1: what he protects me from. And you know, some some
- 3:46Speaker 1: people wonder, well, if you were God, why he letting
- 3:48Speaker 1: people do that to you? Now, that's not how it works. See,
- 3:52Speaker 1: there's two forces in this world, as good and as evil.
- 3:55Speaker 1: And if you succumb to good, that's what you become,
- 3:58Speaker 1: that's what you do. But everybody don't succumb to good.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Some people succumb to evil. Some people's mission is to hate,
- 4:05Speaker 1: to destroy, to tear down, and so that forces at
- 4:10Speaker 1: work in this world too. And when that force comes
- 4:12Speaker 1: up against me. What God never promised me that I
- 4:16Speaker 1: wouldn't see none of that, that I wouldn't see the attacks,
- 4:20Speaker 1: that I would not come under fire, that I would
- 4:23Speaker 1: not be falsely accused. He didn't say that. A matter
- 4:25Speaker 1: of fact, he four warned me that it would happen.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Or what he does give me in those moments on
- 4:32Speaker 1: moments of comfort and peace, knowing that He's with me,
- 4:36Speaker 1: and no, no matter what my enemy does to bring
- 4:39Speaker 1: me down, it ain't gonna work. It ain't gonna work.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So come if you want to fight, if you will,
- 4:45Speaker 1: I have a man that has been attacking me since
- 4:51Speaker 1: I owned the comedy club in Dallas. He has been
- 4:54Speaker 1: on a mission and that if I don't give him
- 4:59Speaker 1: five million dollars, he gonna do it. He didn't done everything, man,
- 5:03Speaker 1: he has done everything. Now he've messed around and got
- 5:08Speaker 1: itself now claiming in his letters physically ill and his
- 5:13Speaker 1: illnesses and what's befalling his family. He's blaming that on
- 5:18Speaker 1: me too, as Steve Harvey not stressed me out and
- 5:21Speaker 1: paid me this money he owed me, were you coming
- 5:25Speaker 1: with this? He just has kept on it on, it on,
- 5:28Speaker 1: And you know what he a messed around, got itself sick.
- 5:33Speaker 1: He'n messed around, man, got himself in some situation. And
- 5:36Speaker 1: can I tell you something. It's been going on since
- 5:39Speaker 1: nine teen, maybe ninety seven. He started the attack when
- 5:50Speaker 1: I first went on, No before that, probably ninety five.
- 5:56Speaker 1: He started the attacks in ninety five, every nine in
- 5:59Speaker 1: he didn't got six lawyers. All the lawyers didn't drop
- 6:03Speaker 1: the case. After they come in and they discover the fact.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But he steady trying. But it's too angels that's around.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And I forewarned him several times. Man, and man, if
- 6:14Speaker 1: I was you, I go head on because what I'm
- 6:16Speaker 1: not gonna do is being because see, you cannot break
- 6:19Speaker 1: me because I happened to be a soldier for Christ.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I happened to be an imperfect soldier or Christ as nothing,
- 6:29Speaker 1: Man as nothing. And oh it ain't like a bunch
- 6:33Speaker 1: of people and tried. Now, Oh y'all all been on YouTube,
- 6:36Speaker 1: y'all been on the internet. Oh they didn't try. Oh
- 6:38Speaker 1: they didn't put some dirt on me. Man, that ain't true.
- 6:41Speaker 1: But if you keep looking at me though, and I'm
- 6:45Speaker 1: not the prize, but if you put your eyes on God,
- 6:48Speaker 1: it's where you go. But if you look at me,
- 6:50Speaker 1: He's covered me through it all. And that's been the
- 6:53Speaker 1: importance of the relationship I formed with God, is that
- 6:57Speaker 1: I know that I'm under his wings, that I'm ever
- 7:00Speaker 1: under his ever loving protection, that he got me. And
- 7:05Speaker 1: I just want to share that with you that if
- 7:07Speaker 1: you got If you're looking for some protection, if you're
- 7:12Speaker 1: looking for a way to have the strength to get
- 7:14Speaker 1: through what you're going through, get some God man. If
- 7:19Speaker 1: if you want to weigh out, get some God man.
- 7:22Speaker 1: If you've been gangbanging and you're sick of gangbanging, get
- 7:25Speaker 1: you some god man. If you're tired of being on
- 7:28Speaker 1: drugs and you're tied to drinking, get you some god man.
- 7:32Speaker 1: If you're tired of being if you're sick and tired
- 7:34Speaker 1: of being sick and tired, get you some God man.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I'm just telling you now. If you're trying to make
- 7:39Speaker 1: your dreams come true and it looks like you ain't
- 7:42Speaker 1: gonna make it, and you still believe that that's for you,
- 7:45Speaker 1: get you some God man. If you're setting a new
- 7:48Speaker 1: gold dream of aspiration and you're trying to get that
- 7:51Speaker 1: and you're gonna start out today, get you some God man,

- 7:58Speaker 1: real what I'm saying. Man, I ain't on fake dude
- 8:00Speaker 1: with it. You understand. I'm just telling you real. Get
- 8:02Speaker 1: you some God, man, and be patient, have faith, believe,

- 8:18Speaker 1: don't doubt, and get ready to work your tail off.
- 8:24Speaker 1: God can't blessing you. See a lot of times we
- 8:27Speaker 1: go to God asking for prayers and stuff, but we
- 8:30Speaker 1: go to him and we don't give nothing God nothing
- 8:32Speaker 1: to bless. We won't blessings, but we don't give him
- 8:34Speaker 1: nothing to bless. You make one step, he'll make two.
- 8:41Speaker 1: You start, he'll finish you come, He'll go you dream it,

- 9:16Speaker 1: the folk without the twenty three hundred. Yeah, man, how
- 9:20Speaker 1: much you think you have spent trying to get to
- 9:22Speaker 1: twenty three hundred? Just a few hundred. Now, let me
- 9:26Speaker 1: ask you something. Do you have a few hundred mold
- 9:28Speaker 1: to try to get this twenty three hundred that you've
- 9:30Speaker 1: been trying to get for four years? Yeah? I could
- 9:33Speaker 1: do that, But do you want to? Man? Do you
- 9:36Speaker 1: have the time to dedicate faux more or your years

- 13:36Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, asked the CLO Chief Love Officer,
- 13:40Speaker 1: will be in the building, Steve Harvey right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Yeah you're listening, Steven show all right, Steve, Time for
- 13:48Speaker 1: your favorite segment, asked the CLO chief Love officer that issue,
- 13:54Speaker 1: we have some good questions for you. This is from
- 13:56Speaker 1: US Steve Harvey FM dot com. This one's from Annika
- 13:59Speaker 1: and Marilyn. She says, Hey, morning crew, I need some
- 14:03Speaker 1: advice with a ridiculous situation. I'm a thirty five year
- 14:07Speaker 1: old woman and my husband is thirty eight. We recently
- 14:12Speaker 1: purchased our first home, and since we are on lockdown Tommy,
- 14:17Speaker 1: we decided we'd do some renovations on our house. My
- 14:20Speaker 1: husband started in the basement and I was his helper
- 14:24Speaker 1: whenever he needed me. Yesterday, I was upstairs cleaning up
- 14:28Speaker 1: and my husband started screaming like he was being attacked.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I ran down to the basement and he told me
- 14:36Speaker 1: he had just seen a spider. Oh my god, Yes,
- 14:42Speaker 1: a darn spider. Turns out he's terrified of spiders and
- 14:47Speaker 1: I'm just finding this out. I killed the spider and
- 14:50Speaker 1: then sprayed the entire basement with bug spray. We live
- 14:54Speaker 1: in a wooded area and spiders are everywhere. Steve, please
- 14:58Speaker 1: give me some advice on how to get this grown
- 15:00Speaker 1: but man to overcome this fear. I can't stand the
- 15:05Speaker 1: wust come on, arachnophobia. Right, well, it's gonna be tough.
- 15:10Speaker 1: These fears usually come from childhood. Now, I'm not a
- 15:16Speaker 1: psychiatrist or anything. I don't know, oh psychologist, psychiatrist, I
- 15:23Speaker 1: ain't nothing. I ain't really good help. I think the
- 15:27Speaker 1: way to stop it is the next time he does it,
- 15:30Speaker 1: you have to go down there and go, what what
- 15:32Speaker 1: he go? A spider? And then put your hands on
- 15:35Speaker 1: your hips and say these words right here, what is
- 15:40Speaker 1: your punk ass screaming about? And then walk off? Don't
- 15:46Speaker 1: get the bug spray, don't help him out? Or here's
- 15:50Speaker 1: another one. Walk down there and go, excuse me, yea,
- 15:57Speaker 1: what is it a spider? Good? Walk off? Here's another one.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Ain't nobody coming down now to kill another dawn spider?
- 16:09Speaker 1: But and that's it. You ain't got just you can
- 16:12Speaker 1: help him get out of it. Oh my god. I
- 16:15Speaker 1: hope the kids never see this in you. And you
- 16:18Speaker 1: have to do that, and if you don't, then the
- 16:21Speaker 1: field continues. That's all, okay. So, so you don't like
- 16:26Speaker 1: the fact that it's a man being afraid of a
- 16:29Speaker 1: spider or just period. No, I don't like that it's
- 16:31Speaker 1: a man being afraid of a spider, I don't. You
- 16:34Speaker 1: cannot be well, you can be afraid. I mean, men
- 16:37Speaker 1: have fields, that's that's normal. You can't let your girls
- 16:41Speaker 1: see it, though. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Thought else your
- 16:46Speaker 1: ass gets a letter on the Steve Harvey morning sho.
- 16:49Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying to you, all right. Here's one
- 16:52Speaker 1: from Charmaine Steve and Richmond, Virginia. She says, I started
- 16:56Speaker 1: dating a married man last September only because he told
- 16:59Speaker 1: me he ain't nothing wrong with that. Okay, this is
- 17:03Speaker 1: where the clo thank you. We had a good relationship
- 17:07Speaker 1: until when until recently, when we all had to be quarantine.
- 17:12Speaker 1: He told me he had to stay home with his
- 17:14Speaker 1: wife because it wouldn't look right in court if he
- 17:18Speaker 1: left her. Now. He also told me that his divorce
- 17:21Speaker 1: process is on hold until the country gets back to work.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Since he's home with his wife, we haven't communicated much.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Part of me thinks he's miserable over there with her,
- 17:33Speaker 1: But then my intuition says he may be liking it
- 17:37Speaker 1: and the togetherness might fix his marriage. Steve, you've been divorced,
- 17:41Speaker 1: so what do you think is going on over there?
- 17:44Speaker 1: He quarantined he can't he can't leave his wife. Come
- 17:48Speaker 1: over there with you. He quarantined. He it's nothing you
- 17:54Speaker 1: can say. What is he going to tell his wife?
- 17:57Speaker 1: Where he going? He can't say going to work. He
- 18:00Speaker 1: can't say he's going to the stow. It's gonna take
- 18:03Speaker 1: too long. What stow did you go to? He ain't
- 18:06Speaker 1: got no damn doctor's appointments? What what can he listen
- 18:10Speaker 1: to me? Excuse me, ma'am. You you you had a
- 18:14Speaker 1: good you had a good relationship with a man that's
- 18:17Speaker 1: married until recently, and everything going to hell right now,
- 18:22Speaker 1: including your little fair with your married man. It's gone
- 18:27Speaker 1: to hell. Well, I don't even know what you're tripping about.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Can I say some all number two? You're out? Okay,
- 18:37Speaker 1: they'll be back to you soon. Just wait, all right,
- 18:41Speaker 1: we're going through something right now. We can't get there right.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Some of them we never some of them may never
- 18:51Speaker 1: get back to you. He notched yours. Wow, Well he
- 18:56Speaker 1: coming back. Wait a minute, he comes now. You don't
- 18:59Speaker 1: know that. No, we don't, No, Timmy, no, no, timmy.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you. This quarantine is doing something.
- 19:07Speaker 1: This quarantine all the positive, all the positive, it's bringing
- 19:11Speaker 1: families closer together. It's on the positive, it's actually causing
- 19:16Speaker 1: people to realize what's important and what's not. On the positive,
- 19:20Speaker 1: it's causing a lot of men to go wild. Wait
- 19:22Speaker 1: a minute, man, I could lose something really valuable to
- 19:25Speaker 1: me messing around with something that ain't nothing but a
- 19:27Speaker 1: side piece. A man, It ain't all negative. Now, some
- 19:30Speaker 1: divorce is gonna come out of this. It's some people
- 19:33Speaker 1: ain't gonna ever speak to each other. Oh, it's gonna
- 19:36Speaker 1: be some that once this clears up and I get
- 19:39Speaker 1: out of the house, I'm never coming back. Oh that's
- 19:44Speaker 1: gonna happen. But it's a lot of healing going on too.
- 19:48Speaker 1: It is, it is. I just won't number twos to know.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I don't like that. When you ain't no hope for tools,
- 19:57Speaker 1: tools don't give promotion, tools don't become No, they don't
- 20:01Speaker 1: show me a two that's become a number one? Come
- 20:05Speaker 1: about millo, Hello, show me a number two? What did
- 20:11Speaker 1: what did you just say? She can go, she can
- 20:15Speaker 1: get promoted, she can come about my house, just somebody.

- 20:22Speaker 1: I keep telling y'all, twuns don't become one man, your man.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I don't like that, you don't like I don't like too.

- 29:02Speaker 1: at the top of the hours of entertainment news and
- 29:04Speaker 1: national news right after this you're listening to show. Yesterday,
- 29:12Speaker 1: the International Olympic Committee is finally announcing the Summer Olympics
- 29:16Speaker 1: in Tokyo. They've said that the uh they will postpone
- 29:20Speaker 1: the Olympics to twenty twenty one due to, of course,
- 29:23Speaker 1: the coronavirus pandemic. Yeah, and this, Steve, is the first
- 29:27Speaker 1: time that the Olympic Games have been postponed ever. W Yeah.
- 29:31Speaker 1: So I've been a live in history. I haven't seen
- 29:33Speaker 1: a bunch of Olympics. Man, God, dog, these are the
- 29:36Speaker 1: Summer Olympics. Yeah, no, bad gamey basketball junior. You don't
- 29:44Speaker 1: watch the Summer Olympics for basketball. They do have a
- 29:46Speaker 1: US basketball team, absolutely, but that's not why you watch it.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Though you watch, you watch it on. You don't nobody
- 29:55Speaker 1: came about the USA basketball team. Nobody aloud. Whoo, who's
- 30:05Speaker 1: the fastest guy now? Since the brother out of Jamaica's gone?
- 30:08Speaker 1: I mean he's not. He's not running the same you're saying.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Since you're saying it's gone, you know he finished last.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Who's the fastest guy now that boy gate is up?
- 30:18Speaker 1: And what's his name? Still running? Uh? Uh? The dark
- 30:23Speaker 1: skinned brother? What's his name? He respects you saying he
- 30:27Speaker 1: has run a long time. Many Oh, what's this catt man?
- 30:31Speaker 1: I'm looking at his face, brown skin, dark skin, dude, muscular,
- 30:36Speaker 1: Hitler mustache. Oh that's every track person. What do you talk?
- 30:40Speaker 1: I'm like the muscular with the Hitler mustache, with the Hitler.
- 30:48Speaker 1: We'll look him up. Okay, well we'll figuring out who
- 30:52Speaker 1: that is. So anyway, the Olympics will be next year,
- 30:55Speaker 1: though they're saying and h Other entertainment news, inter Elba
- 31:00Speaker 1: coronavirus diagnosis has not set well with his co workers.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Indris thinks he was exposed on March fourth, but he
- 31:08Speaker 1: didn't go into isolation until March thirteenth. Now, in the
- 31:11Speaker 1: days following his exposure, he was at an event in London.
- 31:16Speaker 1: He was in Santa Fe, New Mexico, rehearsing with his
- 31:19Speaker 1: co stars and crew members for the upcoming Netflix movie Idris.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Production crew is upset about it, and they're saying he
- 31:27Speaker 1: didn't communicate with them about his potential risk after his
- 31:31Speaker 1: positive test. Meanwhile, his wife its His wife, Sabrina, has
- 31:35Speaker 1: tested positive for the virus as well. In other news,
- 31:39Speaker 1: Wendy Williams says she's ready to risk it all and
- 31:41Speaker 1: get back to work. Her show is on Higus. Of course,
- 31:45Speaker 1: you know, due to COVID nineteen. You're gonna risk it
- 31:48Speaker 1: off to get back to your ship. But she's gonna
- 31:52Speaker 1: have to wait because the New York Governor Andrew Cuomo,
- 31:55Speaker 1: everybody's hero right now. He's just love him. He's doing.
- 32:03Speaker 1: My shows are a whole. I'm not everybody all to
- 32:08Speaker 1: go back to work. That don't make sense. Risk it all, man,
- 32:14Speaker 1: please anyway. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order.
- 32:22Speaker 1: He's directed all ninety Central businesses to close. Also some
- 32:27Speaker 1: good news, Tom Hanks's wife, Rita Wilson she's doing okay
- 32:31Speaker 1: while being quarantine over in Australia. She posted a video
- 32:34Speaker 1: on social media rapping to hip hop hooray by Natty
- 32:37Speaker 1: by Nature. So she's having a good time. Yeah, he's
- 32:40Speaker 1: having a real good time. It's recovering. Well, well, you know,
- 32:43Speaker 1: you need somebody like that that's actually got it and surviving.
- 32:48Speaker 1: So everybody can quit thinking it's a death sentence. Now.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Is it dangerous? Very much so if you have a
- 32:54Speaker 1: pre existing condition, is it dangerous. Absolutely, But man's at
- 33:00Speaker 1: least have some bit of hope, some by type of faith. True,
- 33:05Speaker 1: that's true. All right, Steve, we're gonna switch gears here
- 33:08Speaker 1: and get caught up on today's headlines. Take it away,
- 33:11Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Trimp and thank you. This
- 33:15Speaker 1: is a troop of the news. Good morning, everybody. The
- 33:18Speaker 1: latest worldwide number of coronavirus infections is three hundred and
- 33:22Speaker 1: seventy two thousand, five hundred and sixty three. That's worldwide,
- 33:25Speaker 1: three hundred and seventy two thousand, five hundred and sixty three.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Sixteen thousand, three hundred and eighty one people have died,
- 33:32Speaker 1: while here in the US there are forty one thousand,
- 33:34Speaker 1: seven hundred eight infections with five hundred and seventy three deaths.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Now former presidential hopeful. Amy Klobuchar says her husband has
- 33:42Speaker 1: tested positive for the coronavirus. The Minnesota Senator said he's
- 33:45Speaker 1: being hospitalized in Virginia. But with all that looks like
- 33:49Speaker 1: the President wants people to focus not on the coronavirus pandemic,
- 33:52Speaker 1: but beyond it. We will have a large team working
- 33:55Speaker 1: on what the next steps will be once the medical
- 33:57Speaker 1: community gives a region the okay, meaning the okay to
- 34:01Speaker 1: get going, to get back, Let's go to work. Our
- 34:04Speaker 1: country wasn't built to be shut down. Trump says he's
- 34:07Speaker 1: worried about the economic impact of the government's response to
- 34:10Speaker 1: the coronavirus. In fact, Trump says he expects to begin
- 34:12Speaker 1: rolling back recommendations for social distancing and stuff in some weeks,
- 34:17Speaker 1: not months. The nation's governors have been taking the lead
- 34:21Speaker 1: and telling schools in certain businesses though to close as
- 34:23Speaker 1: and also for people to stay home you know what.
- 34:25Speaker 1: According to a recent NPR PBS News Hour Marispole, Democrats
- 34:30Speaker 1: and Republicans believe it or not, divided over whether the
- 34:32Speaker 1: corona pandemic is a real threat. Most Democrats say COVID
- 34:36Speaker 1: nineteen is threatening, but a growing number of Republicans are
- 34:39Speaker 1: not convinced, and that's even as coronavirus numbers continue to rise,
- 34:42Speaker 1: The survey says the Republicans have. For instance, last month,
- 34:46Speaker 1: seven out of ten members of the GOP said they
- 34:48Speaker 1: thought the virus was serious and a threat, but now
- 34:50Speaker 1: only four out of ten do, and the numbers have
- 34:53Speaker 1: been rising. Interestingly enough, half of the respondents say they
- 34:56Speaker 1: didn't trust what the news media was saying, while a
- 34:58Speaker 1: larger percentage of those survey said they didn't trust with
- 35:01Speaker 1: President Trump was saying. Another drive through coronavirus testing units
- 35:06Speaker 1: opened in Florida, a sprawling retirement community in central Florida.
- 35:09Speaker 1: There Congress in the White House trying to work out
- 35:11Speaker 1: a stimulus agreement about a two trillion dollar rescue plan
- 35:14Speaker 1: for the economy. This compromise package would push tenths of
- 35:18Speaker 1: billions of dollars to hospitals and healthcare providers. It would
- 35:23Speaker 1: send direct checks to millions of American households. We're very
- 35:27Speaker 1: close to reaching a deal, very close, and we're hopeful,
- 35:32Speaker 1: even confident, that we will meet that goal. So cross
- 35:35Speaker 1: your fingers. We don't know what's going on so far.
- 35:37Speaker 1: The Democrats say that the Republican plan is too kind
- 35:39Speaker 1: of corporations and give nothing, really pretty much to average Americans.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Rhode Island the latest to postpone their presidential primary. And finally,
- 35:47Speaker 1: Neil Diamond's trying to help people doing the pandemic. He's
- 35:50Speaker 1: changed the words of his famous song Sweet Caroline, hands
- 35:54Speaker 1: washing hands, reaching out, We'll not reaching out. Now. Back
- 35:59Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey more show you're listening. All right, Steve,
- 36:05Speaker 1: we have more clo questions for the Chief Love Officer.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Please can you bring him in him right? Here's this
- 36:13Speaker 1: One's from Deborah in te Neck, New Jersey. She says,
- 36:17Speaker 1: I'm a forty one year old single mom and I've
- 36:19Speaker 1: been dating an She's forty one, she's single, she's a mother.
- 36:24Speaker 1: She's been dating a nice man, Steve for close to
- 36:26Speaker 1: a year now. She says she used to seeing him
- 36:29Speaker 1: every day, and she says we satisfy each other's needs
- 36:33Speaker 1: every day, Yes, every day exclamation mark. But now she says,
- 36:39Speaker 1: I have a problem because my boyfriend is a transit
- 36:42Speaker 1: driver and he's still working every day because he goes
- 36:46Speaker 1: out and it is exposed to people daily. He told
- 36:49Speaker 1: me that he does not want to risk my health,
- 36:51Speaker 1: so he stopped coming to see me. I have not
- 36:54Speaker 1: seen him in almost two weeks, and at first I
- 36:57Speaker 1: thought he would get over the quarantine rules and come
- 37:00Speaker 1: over and please me, But he will not do it.
- 37:03Speaker 1: I've tried to be kinky on FaceTime with him, but
- 37:05Speaker 1: he's not into that. I appreciate his concern for my health,
- 37:09Speaker 1: but I can't help but think something else is going on.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Am I just bored and paranoid or selfish? See? Now,
- 37:22Speaker 1: if the guy is practicing what they told him to
- 37:26Speaker 1: do and wants to limit you getting exposed to him,
- 37:29Speaker 1: being exposed to all these people he got on trans
- 37:32Speaker 1: and and he trying not to come out, what's what's
- 37:35Speaker 1: what's what's the matter with that? You know? I mean
- 37:38Speaker 1: I would, I would accept that. But you want every day, Well,
- 37:42Speaker 1: ain't nothing happening every day? No damn for nobody nowhere? Yeah,
- 37:51Speaker 1: all you gotta do is turn news on. Ain't nothing
- 37:53Speaker 1: happening every day no more. I used to go to
- 37:57Speaker 1: work every day, and that ain't ain't happening no more.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Rights a man going out here every day? I know
- 38:04Speaker 1: people used to go to the stove every day. They
- 38:07Speaker 1: go to Starbucks every day. It ain't happening, no more
- 38:11Speaker 1: happening I used to leave my house every day. That
- 38:16Speaker 1: ain't happening no more. Next question, sure coming, all right,
- 38:20Speaker 1: and she's from She's selfish. All right, here we go,
- 38:24Speaker 1: uh Lynthia in Chicago. She says, Hello, I'm twenty three
- 38:28Speaker 1: years old. I'm still a virgin. I've had the absolute
- 38:31Speaker 1: worst time and time it just let her read the question.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Did you hear that? First? She twenty three years old,
- 38:39Speaker 1: she's still a virgin? What's what's wrong? And we're running
- 38:41Speaker 1: out of time? Now? You want't stop her from being
- 38:44Speaker 1: a virgin. I'll see Jesus, nice, stupid you hear that?
- 38:50Speaker 1: What the hell going on? Oh Lord Jesus, what the
- 38:54Speaker 1: hell the world coming to? Right? I don't know if
- 38:59Speaker 1: we'll have time to finish. We ain't got it, but
- 39:01Speaker 1: go ahead. Yeah, I can't finish it. Well, we'll talk
- 39:05Speaker 1: about it when we come back, Steve. We'll hear what
- 39:08Speaker 1: Thomas response is. I'm not gonna say not cause you
- 39:11Speaker 1: get you're changed. You're listening to all right, So everybody
- 39:20Speaker 1: knows where we are in this country right now. We're
- 39:23Speaker 1: updated just about every day, Steve. With the president and
- 39:27Speaker 1: his coronavirus, we're not all day. I'm I'm feeling a
- 39:32Speaker 1: little bit less and less comfortable with him as a
- 39:35Speaker 1: leader because he intertwines too much of his own personal
- 39:40Speaker 1: The other day, it was it's really hard for a
- 39:43Speaker 1: rich guy to run for president. Hey man, nobody needs
- 39:46Speaker 1: to hear that. At this time. We need information, we
- 39:50Speaker 1: need results, and we need some logistics going on. And
- 39:54Speaker 1: then he come you know, he's talking about Mitch McConnell
- 39:57Speaker 1: came out and talked about how the Democra hats are
- 40:00Speaker 1: slowing down the stimulus package. See, what they're trying to
- 40:03Speaker 1: do is turn this thing that really got out of
- 40:06Speaker 1: hand because our leader said that for two weeks this
- 40:09Speaker 1: was a hoax. We could have been two weeks further
- 40:12Speaker 1: up the road if he wasn't saying it was a hoax.
- 40:15Speaker 1: But now the stimulus package, let me help y'all understand something.
- 40:19Speaker 1: This stimulus package is designed for a few things. They're
- 40:24Speaker 1: trying to keep companies alive and thriving, you know, whether
- 40:28Speaker 1: it's auto or something like that. But now it's important
- 40:32Speaker 1: for him to keep the businesses alive. And he's correct
- 40:36Speaker 1: in that when this war with the virus is over,
- 40:39Speaker 1: you still want to be able to get back and
- 40:41Speaker 1: have an economy. But what the Democrats are over there
- 40:44Speaker 1: fighting for is not enough of this stimulus package is
- 40:48Speaker 1: gonna get itself down to the people who are hurting
- 40:51Speaker 1: right now. He keeps saying he's concerned with the worker,
- 40:54Speaker 1: but his concern with the worker is at the upper
- 40:57Speaker 1: level to keep the companies open. What you need to
- 41:00Speaker 1: have open so the workers that have somewhere to go.
- 41:02Speaker 1: But the Democrats know that there's a deeper problem going
- 41:06Speaker 1: on down there, whether you're working or not right now,
- 41:10Speaker 1: and we got to get this problem solved. And he's
- 41:12Speaker 1: got more of the efforts of the stimulus package coming
- 41:15Speaker 1: from the Republicans to take care of the businesses instead
- 41:18Speaker 1: of taking care of business and excuse me, instead of
- 41:21Speaker 1: taking care of people. Now, if you say that you
- 41:24Speaker 1: need the businesses to stay alive, which is true, so
- 41:28Speaker 1: the people will have jobs to go back to. That's
- 41:31Speaker 1: the truth. But there are other problems too, and the
- 41:35Speaker 1: Democrats are trying to make sure that the people at
- 41:38Speaker 1: the bottom survive. To see a company can go two
- 41:43Speaker 1: months without a check, the regular person can't see GM
- 41:52Speaker 1: gonna survive, Ford gonna survive two months down the worker
- 41:58Speaker 1: is going to be hurt him if he don't get
- 42:02Speaker 1: a check for two months. The airlines with they airlines, man,
- 42:06Speaker 1: they let me ask you about that. When when the
- 42:10Speaker 1: airline says the airlines has made billions of dollars, let's
- 42:14Speaker 1: just say on an annual basis, you made billions of dollars.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Why is it that they now they almost saying they
- 42:19Speaker 1: almost feel to be bankrupt, because well, you know, look, man,
- 42:23Speaker 1: but a big business, big business can't report everything is profit.
- 42:28Speaker 1: They got to give out dividins, they got to payout salaries,
- 42:32Speaker 1: and they got that. They got to make it a
- 42:35Speaker 1: peer as though, yeah, that they got so much overhead
- 42:38Speaker 1: that they can't make money. All them airlines was making money.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Why they open all of them. But now now when
- 42:46Speaker 1: it gets tight, you got to you got to do
- 42:49Speaker 1: what your tax returned. Sad you did. Now you can't
- 42:54Speaker 1: just all of a sudden show up with a whole
- 42:56Speaker 1: bunch of cash reserves and and then exposed to tax
- 42:59Speaker 1: loopholes that you jumped through. That's the whole reason behind
- 43:03Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. We're gonna go after big
- 43:07Speaker 1: business and make them pay their fair share because they
- 43:09Speaker 1: know big business jumps through the loopholes and the tax system.
- 43:13Speaker 1: That's what they know. That's the American way. But rich
- 43:17Speaker 1: people have to protect that way because how is they're
- 43:19Speaker 1: gonna be rich if they don't protect that way? Man.
- 43:24Speaker 1: So it's it's a crazy situation of what the do
- 43:28Speaker 1: that great mayor, the great governor up there in in
- 43:32Speaker 1: New York and Mayor is saying, hey, man, we gotta
- 43:35Speaker 1: get this stuff solveway and they know how to solve it.
- 43:38Speaker 1: But guess what, man, Yeah, they got STI they got
- 43:43Speaker 1: to pay people to help them because America, until you
- 43:48Speaker 1: get down here with us, grassroots folks, America ain't designed
- 43:53Speaker 1: to help people. That ain't what is designed for man, Sorry,
- 43:58Speaker 1: what do you mean? See, that's what this is about, man,
- 44:02Speaker 1: somebody gotta get paid. Oh boy? All right? Um, coming up,
- 44:06Speaker 1: it's the Nephew and the prank phone call. Right after
- 44:09Speaker 1: this you're listening to show coming up at the top
- 44:15Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 44:17Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today, the subject we have a big
- 44:21Speaker 1: problem sis. But right now nephew in the building with
- 44:25Speaker 1: today's prank phone call, what you got next? Can I
- 44:28Speaker 1: paint your wife naked? Okay? Steve, So you're just not
- 44:33Speaker 1: gonna say anything. You're just gonna sit there. No, what
- 44:36Speaker 1: I'm done, I'm done? What? What? What do you need
- 44:39Speaker 1: to say? What are you allow? Did you hear the
- 44:41Speaker 1: title of the plank? Can I paint your wife naked?
- 44:48Speaker 1: Is every day? Sureley? This start happened to you round
- 44:51Speaker 1: two thousand and three? Yeah? Yeah, two years well yeah,
- 44:55Speaker 1: two thousand and two, I think, Yeah, this's been happening
- 44:58Speaker 1: to me since nineteen sixty seven. Ain't your wife? Nick? Wife? Wife?
- 45:08Speaker 1: I said that I hate your wife, Nick? That's a color?
- 45:16Speaker 1: What you didn't get that? Empy and the junior wife? Hey,
- 45:28Speaker 1: your wife naked? Let's go ken. Hello, Hello, I wish
- 45:35Speaker 1: to speak with a mister please, Hello, sir. My name
- 45:41Speaker 1: is Sebastian. I am with the Art Institute and I
- 45:46Speaker 1: wanted to give you a call about Um. I have
- 45:49Speaker 1: a huge showing coming up where I am going to
- 45:51Speaker 1: be displaying my portfolio and all of my drawings within it.
- 45:56Speaker 1: But I have one drawing that I am looking to
- 45:58Speaker 1: display that I have not put on canvas yet, and
- 46:02Speaker 1: I'm looking to take something of essence to put on canvas,
- 46:06Speaker 1: and I want to call you about getting permission. Well wait,
- 46:09Speaker 1: hold on dog, just to stop you right now. I
- 46:11Speaker 1: don't do that, all right. I'm not a model. That's
- 46:13Speaker 1: not my profession, So you would not waste your time
- 46:16Speaker 1: no more. You know what I'm saying. Just go ahead, mister.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I don't think you understand that my showing is gonna
- 46:22Speaker 1: have some very important people there. I am, like I
- 46:25Speaker 1: said before with Art Institute, and I said, I don't
- 46:30Speaker 1: do that. That's not me. I mean, I hate it.
- 46:33Speaker 1: You know, would you just calling folks up to you
- 46:35Speaker 1: as solicitor or something? I mean, y'all just randomly picking
- 46:37Speaker 1: out folks and trying to trying to get them the model.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Look man, sir, mister, no, I'm not just randomly calling people.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I actually have done research in order to get your number.
- 46:47Speaker 1: What I'm doing is I'm not calling you as for
- 46:52Speaker 1: being a model that I'm going to portray on canvas,
- 46:55Speaker 1: but you have something far more greater visually that I
- 46:59Speaker 1: would like old on Kansas. Now you're married to your wife?
- 47:04Speaker 1: Is am I correct? The whole whoa whoa whoa dob?
- 47:08Speaker 1: No for who is this? Seriously? Because I can get
- 47:11Speaker 1: my number? How you see my number? Because you're talking
- 47:13Speaker 1: about my wife and stuff me my wife. My name
- 47:17Speaker 1: is Sebastian. I am with Art Institute. What I'm trying
- 47:21Speaker 1: to do with capturing and mortalize the beauty of essence
- 47:25Speaker 1: on cana lives. Okay yo, for real, though, you just can't.
- 47:28Speaker 1: You don't talking about my wife, all right, So I'm not.
- 47:32Speaker 1: I'm not calling in a negative manner towards your wife.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I want to. I want to mortialize her and capture
- 47:39Speaker 1: her on canvas, the beauty that she beholds. I've seen
- 47:43Speaker 1: your wife several times, you guys reside, whoa, whoa, whoa?
- 47:47Speaker 1: You see my wife? But wait, what do you see
- 47:49Speaker 1: my wife at? Why are you? Why are you? Why
- 47:51Speaker 1: are you watching my wife? I've seen her. She she
- 47:53Speaker 1: shops on one hundred and twenty fifth Street in hall Im.
- 47:55Speaker 1: I've seen her so many times there, and she holds
- 47:58Speaker 1: all the beauty that an artist would like to put
- 48:00Speaker 1: on Kansas. Like I said before, I have a huge
- 48:03Speaker 1: showing in May. You're welcome to come out as well.
- 48:06Speaker 1: There's gonna be so many important people there. But I
- 48:08Speaker 1: want to call and get permission from you about painting
- 48:11Speaker 1: your wife. No, you ain't got that permission. Play well,
- 48:14Speaker 1: you just can't. You just can't go around following my
- 48:17Speaker 1: wife and trying to motalize or whatever. I just said.
- 48:20Speaker 1: All right, so so, but I would like to let
- 48:23Speaker 1: you know I have taken the liberty myself. I have
- 48:27Speaker 1: painted your wife's head. What, Joe, you have lost your
- 48:32Speaker 1: damn mind. You can't be just walking around here, payton
- 48:35Speaker 1: folks headed. You gotta get permission for that. What's wrong
- 48:38Speaker 1: with you? But if you are crazy? You don't understand
- 48:41Speaker 1: your wife holds the essence that every artist wants. I
- 48:44Speaker 1: don't care what he holds. You can't be going around
- 48:47Speaker 1: payton folks heads. Wrong with you, sir. That's the reason
- 48:51Speaker 1: why I'm calling trying to get permission from you. I, Sebastian,
- 48:54Speaker 1: want to put your wife on canvas because she holds
- 48:57Speaker 1: the essence that every artist wants to behold. She mortalized

- 49:42Speaker 1: It's a bashi? Who name is? That's a baship? Sir.
- 49:46Speaker 1: All I want to do is paint your wife in
- 49:48Speaker 1: her rawest and purest foe. That's there's a law and
- 49:53Speaker 1: purest for me. What do you want? Siously? I want
- 49:57Speaker 1: to paint your wife? I you want to paint her

- 50:37Speaker 1: mind to ask me something like that, Sir, I must

- 50:43Speaker 1: person that has seen your wife in the nude chula
- 50:46Speaker 1: that has been men before you to have seen her
- 50:48Speaker 1: in the net? That for you and my wife ain't

- 54:00Speaker 1: get to do my intro because when I mean when,
- 54:05Speaker 1: when you not you don't want me saying nothing? He
- 54:09Speaker 1: don't like me? You mean you mean you mean don't
- 54:12Speaker 1: want you saying nothing? Like now when she could be
- 54:14Speaker 1: reading the letter like you don't like me, but he
- 54:18Speaker 1: loves you. Talk about all right subject. We have a
- 54:22Speaker 1: big problem sis. Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been divorced for
- 54:26Speaker 1: four years and my seventy year old child is caught
- 54:29Speaker 1: up in a dysfunctional mess with me and my ex husband.
- 54:33Speaker 1: After my divorce, I found out that my older sister
- 54:36Speaker 1: was having an affair with my husband. Throughout the divorce.
- 54:40Speaker 1: She was my rock and I turned to her for advice,
- 54:44Speaker 1: since she'd been divorced three times. All of the signs
- 54:48Speaker 1: were there that they could have been messing around, but
- 54:51Speaker 1: I was going through hell, so I didn't notice. My
- 54:54Speaker 1: sister had started calling me at work a lot, and
- 54:56Speaker 1: I thought it was to check on me, But I
- 54:59Speaker 1: found out later that she was making sure I was
- 55:01Speaker 1: at work so she could be alone with my husband
- 55:05Speaker 1: in our bed. When it all came out, I felt
- 55:09Speaker 1: so stupid. It seemed as if my husband was relieved
- 55:13Speaker 1: to give me the details. Well, fast forward to present day.
- 55:17Speaker 1: My sister lives with my ex husband and they are
- 55:20Speaker 1: planning to get married. This is torn up my entire family.
- 55:25Speaker 1: My son knows that his mommy and his auntie don't
- 55:28Speaker 1: get along, but he does not know why. He constantly
- 55:31Speaker 1: asked me why his auntie lives with his daddy instead
- 55:34Speaker 1: of me and him living with his daddy. All I
- 55:38Speaker 1: told him is that his auntie hurt his mommy really bad.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I have never said anything negative about his daddy to him.
- 55:47Speaker 1: He's too young to understand. I have told my ex
- 55:50Speaker 1: that our son does not need to stay with him
- 55:52Speaker 1: right now because it's confusing to him. My ex is
- 55:56Speaker 1: so very nasty towards me and still has no remorse
- 56:00Speaker 1: for what he's done, so he insists that he gets
- 56:02Speaker 1: weakened a visitation. For four years, I've been bitter and
- 56:07Speaker 1: angry and want to hurt both of them. Someone mentioned
- 56:10Speaker 1: counseling to me, but I need a little more than that.
- 56:13Speaker 1: I need peace in my life and in my son's life.
- 56:16Speaker 1: How can we move on from this and be happy? Wow,
- 56:21Speaker 1: you're a really good person to not have, you know,
- 56:24Speaker 1: done something physical and violent to both of them. I
- 56:28Speaker 1: must tell you some sort, you know, even if it's
- 56:31Speaker 1: at a low level, some sort, I mean, I really
- 56:34Speaker 1: have to commend you for that. I'm a I'm a person.
- 56:36Speaker 1: I'm a woman that has two brothers. I always wanted
- 56:40Speaker 1: sisters because I always, you know, just wanted that closeness.
- 56:43Speaker 1: She could be my bff, we could bond all of that.
- 56:47Speaker 1: But clearly this is not the case in your situation
- 56:51Speaker 1: with you and your sister. I mean, she's ratchet and trifling,
- 56:54Speaker 1: she really is. I mean, calling your job to see
- 56:57Speaker 1: if you were at work so she could be with
- 56:59Speaker 1: your husband your bed. Now she's living with him, you
- 57:03Speaker 1: divorced because he was This is just awful. I mean,
- 57:06Speaker 1: and I can imagine how this has torn your family apart,
- 57:09Speaker 1: and he doesn't seem to carry your ex husband. What
- 57:13Speaker 1: effect this has on your seven year old son. That's
- 57:16Speaker 1: really where your focus should be. How is he going
- 57:19Speaker 1: to come out of all of this? So to you,
- 57:22Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, you gotta be strong right now
- 57:24Speaker 1: for the both of you, because this kid is confused. Okay,
- 57:28Speaker 1: so daddy's not living with us, mommy, but he is
- 57:33Speaker 1: still in the family because he's living with Auntie. Now
- 57:37Speaker 1: can you imagine how confusing that is for a child?
- 57:41Speaker 1: And then your ex husband wants visitation on the weekend,
- 57:44Speaker 1: so he's gonna be over there still with his daddy,
- 57:46Speaker 1: your sister who now might be his step mom slash Auntie.
- 57:50Speaker 1: I mean, the confusion and craziness of all of this.
- 57:58Speaker 1: But you know he's gonna find out she's been to
- 58:00Speaker 1: force three times. He's gonna find out why in just
- 58:03Speaker 1: a few short minutes. He will be I'm sure ex
- 58:08Speaker 1: husband number four when this is all over with, because
- 58:11Speaker 1: she is trifling, She is wratchet, your older sister. I mean,
- 58:15Speaker 1: of all the men in the world, she goes after.
- 58:17Speaker 1: You're a man, your husband, I mean, and right in
- 58:20Speaker 1: your face. Yeah, but how do you get through it?
- 58:26Speaker 1: This is a tough one. Right here, I'm gonna have
- 58:28Speaker 1: to tell you if you can, yes, I want you
- 58:31Speaker 1: to go to some counseling for sure, for sure for
- 58:34Speaker 1: you and your son. And this is hard. You're gonna
- 58:38Speaker 1: have to try to find it in your heart to
- 58:41Speaker 1: forgive them in this situation, because that's one of the
- 58:45Speaker 1: cleanest ways you can move on with your life. I mean,
- 58:49Speaker 1: that's hard. If you can. You know. I didn't say forget,
- 58:53Speaker 1: but you're gonna have to try and forgive them if
- 58:56Speaker 1: you can. That's what I have for you, Steve. Before
- 59:01Speaker 1: I read this letter, I want to make this statement
- 59:04Speaker 1: right here that nothing I'm about to say is what
- 59:07Speaker 1: I really want to say. Nothing. Nothing, Well, it's not
- 59:14Speaker 1: so much the cuss, but you do what I want
- 59:18Speaker 1: to do to the both of them. I can't save
- 59:22Speaker 1: on the radio or recommend. So let me take this
- 59:26Speaker 1: approach to this. This woman's been divorced and she's got
- 59:29Speaker 1: a seven year old that caught up in this dysfunctional
- 59:32Speaker 1: mess her ex husband. After your divorce. After the divorce,
- 59:37Speaker 1: now this is after divorce. You find out that my
- 59:41Speaker 1: older sister was having an affair with my husband. Okay,
- 59:44Speaker 1: So I'm si. Now you found this out after divorce.
- 59:47Speaker 1: This is your saving grace in this whole thing that
- 59:52Speaker 1: you found out after you got the divorce. God spared
- 59:59Speaker 1: you knowing this during for a particular reason, and you
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: turned to her for advice because she's been divorced three
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: times and she did something to make you think she
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: was Okay, when I come back, I'm gonna tell you
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: the grace in all of this that you have. There
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: is an upside. Okay, Steve, hang on, we'll have part
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: after the hour right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. We have a problem.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Since this woman been divorced four years, got the seven
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: year old child who's in this dysfunctional mess, her ex husband.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: She found out after the divorce, that found out that
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: her oldest sister was having an affair with the husband
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: that you got the divorce from. Now, there's a reason
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: why you didn't know this during because that would have
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: been gut wrenching. I'm pretty sure it is now, But
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: at least you got the divorce. Now, during the divorce,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: she was your rock and you turned to her for advice,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: you know, because she's been divorced three times. I don't
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: know what advice you get from somebody that's been divorced
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: three times, except especially when you're going through a divorce,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: except just how to get through divorcing. That's the best advice,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Especially when you find out that all the signs that
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: were there that they had been messing around, but you
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: didn't notice. Your sister was calling you at work. You
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: thought it was a check on you, but you found
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: out she was making sure you was at work so
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: she could be along with my husband in our bed. Okay,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: now that's trifling. Let me tell you what's wrong here.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: You have discovered after the marriage that two of the
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: most despicable, trifling people were in your life. You had
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: a bad husband, you got a bad sister, and it's
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: led to a bad situation. These two people right here
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: are the worst of the worst. The blessing is you
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: had that you got a chance to get away from
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: one of them. Now, the problem with siblings is you
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: don't get to pick them. You're born with them. Because
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: your sisters don't mean you have to be friends. You
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: and your sister are not friends now, Shirley said, a
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: good thing. Shirley said, you have to forgive. I don't
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: know how you forgive this right here, but you do
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: have to move on from it now. When it all
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: came out, you say you felt stupid, and then it
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: seemed as if my husband was relieved to give you
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: the details. Well, number one, he had been living a lie.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: So giving you the details also was to make you
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: feel a couple of things. Number one like something was
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: your fault, and number two, it was your sister's fault. See,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: dudes that open up about stuff like this is to
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: say to him some of this, if I hadn't been
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: around in this situation with you and your family, it
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: were half of it is your fault and the rest
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: of it is your sister fault. Now fast forward to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: present day. Your sister live with your ex husband and
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: they planning on getting married. How you think that's gonna work?
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: That's sure, he pointed out, she'd been divorced three times
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: and she then slept with her sister's husband. What type
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: of blessing you think fitna be on this mess? Right here?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Thank God you out of it. See oftentimes when God
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: pulls us through stuff, we mess up by dabbling back
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: into stuff. Well, now your son is another problem. He
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: knows that as mommy and his auntie don't get along. Well,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: that's cool, you can explain that. Quit taking him over there.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: He constantly asked me why his auntie lived with his daddy,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: though the answer a little bit of trouble. And if
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: he's seven, he going to school, somebody else gonna ask too. Instead,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you won't know. Instead of why you and him don't
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: live with your daddy. I told him that his auntie
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: heard his mommy really bad. I've never said anything negative
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: about his daddy to him. He's too young to understand.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: I've told my ex that our son does not need
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: to stay with him right now because it's confusing to him,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: which is a true statement. But now he has no
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: relationship with his father, which is probably worse. So I
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: don't know that. Since this is causing some confusion in
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: him as to why his daddy is staying with his
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: auntie and not staying with him and his mama, that
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: confusion is going to exist whether he sees his dad
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: or not. But him not seeing his father, he needs
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: that he may not be a good husband. He could
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: be a good father, though my ex is so very
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: nasty towards me and still has no remorse for what
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: he's done. Or he's nasty towards you because that's a
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: defense mechanism. He got to be nast towards you because
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: you have every right to be nasty towards him. But
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: kindness kills baby. Or if you would to just be
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: kind to him and his ex wife, him and your sister,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: it would kill him. Now it's gonna take a lot
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: for you, and I'm not sure you the person that
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: has that, because for years I've been bitter and angry
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: and I want to hurt both of them. See. Somebody
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: told you that you should go to counseling, and you
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: really should, because you need to talk over this with
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: somebody to discuss your feelings. But I need a little
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: more than that. Well, the only thing more than that
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: is God. See, And the one thing I'm gonna tell you,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: some old people say sometimes you got to let go
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: and let God. You gotta take this situation that you're
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: going through that's bigger than anything any of us have
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: for you, and you got to turn it over to God.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I ain't joking. Now, you really got to turn this
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: one over to God because you need peace in your life.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: And I know no better way to get peace in
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: your life through a relationship with God. I don't know
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: a better way. It's my piece in my life and
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: in your son's life. How can we move on from
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: this and be happy? You move on to it because
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: He got you out of it. Stop dabbling in it.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: You got to play the game now, Okay, this your
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: daddy boom and separate yourself. You gotta get to that
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: point a you're gonna lose your mind. You need counseling
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: and you need prayer. Yep. Post your comments on today's
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. It's Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: and don't forget to check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: on demand now coming up at forty six minutes after
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: the hour, We're gonna do Ask the Clo with Steve
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Harvey right after this you're listening morning show. All right,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: So Steve, we had a question for the CLO. Actually
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: it's from a twenty three year old woman. Her name
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: is Linthia from Chicago. She's a virgin. She said she's
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: had the absolute worst experiences with dating. When this topic
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: of sex comes up, the guys usually run. Her most
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: recent experience was with a guy that she had been
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: dating for three months. They had the sex talk, but
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: he didn't pressure her about it, so she didn't tell
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: him that she was a virgin until the very last
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: minute when they were about to do the deed. She says,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: I told him it was my first time, and he
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: laughed hysterically at me, and he didn't believe me because
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I was acting so dominant the whole time. He told
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: me that he didn't want a girl that didn't know
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: what she was doing. She says. I was ashamed and
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I left his house and he hasn't called me since.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I don't want to be a virgin anymore. But why
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: is it so hard to find a good guy to
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: help me out? Well, you know, it's the same problem
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: that every woman has in finding a great guy. That's
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: the number one thing with most women who don't have
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: anybody is finding a great guy. You'll have a guy
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: that'll that'll be the right guy for you, that'll be patient,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: which you take his time? Would you be understanding and
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: want you all in want you just haven't met the
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: guy yet. And if you keep having the same experiences,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: it could possibly be with the way you're breaking the
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: news and how you're explaining the news, maybe your approach
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: to expressing yourself is a little bit off. Because a
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: dude that kicks you out because I want somebody know
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: what he's doing. He just wants somebody. That's freaky, that's
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: all it was. And Steve the fact that she just
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: doesn't want to be a virgin anymore. I mean, I mean, yeah,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you know you're not. You don't want to be a
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: virgin anymore. That's your decision. I can't not the one
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: to tell you to hang on to your married because
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: if you've made that your mind, why why would I
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: tell you anything else? You know, but you haven't found
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: mister Wright, you're twenty three years old. You're still very young.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Please take the pressure off yourself because you got the
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: rest of your life not to be a virgin. You
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: ain't out of time, No, Tommy, anything you want to say?
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, no, sir, no fairly Why
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: how you answering for me? Sir? Yeah, sure, it's the
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: best thing to do with this moment. Trust me, I'm
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: st I'm smart, stop, I got another question, Tommy, I
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: don't think Shirley's gonna let you interject here. You don't
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: realize how smart I am. And that's exactly right. Eddy
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: is right there, nailed it. Okay, right, all right, we'll
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: be back at the top of the hour with more
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: of a Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right, so listen. Even
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: if you're not panicking about the coronavirus spreading and all
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: of that, it's still a good a good time to
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: stay as healthy, at least try to stay as healthy
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: as possible to protect yourself from coals and viruses. And
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: one way to do it is by boosting your immune
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: system through proper nutrition. So what should we be eating?
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: That's the question. There's some of these are some foods
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: that you can add to your diet to improve improve
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: your immunity of well, I'm gonna tell you one before
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: you get started, chickens child, let me tell you something.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Feel the reason I have no fear or coronavirus for
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: thirty eight years of my life. I don't eat no more,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: but I have had chitlings in my system. And if
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: a virus coming in and chitness, chidless kill all that. Boy, Yeah,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I stopped at thirty eight childne and residue kill all that.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: We're gonna add that to the list. Chiles. Okay, there's
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: also garlic. My friends have been telling me it's hard
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: to find garlic in the stories right now because it
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: says garlics stimulate your white blood cells and other immune
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: cells to fight viruses and infections by eating garlic. And
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: for the biggest boosts, try it raw and finally minced
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: on dressings or dips like hummus. So well you can.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: You can eat it raw now doing this quarantine. If
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: you're gonna have to let it go a week photo
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: quarantine up, the steel gonna be in your skin? Yeah,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: too much? Oh do if you eat raw garlic? Boy,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: what about that kyolic garlic? Is that it the one
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: that's that's odorless? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, all right. Mushrooms. Mushrooms
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: because they have vitamin BE, it says, and vitamin B
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: helps boost your immune system. Uh. Oysters, I cannot eat oysters,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: they say they. I know a lot of people do.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: They contain more sink than any other food and it
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: has powerful anti inflammatory and anti occident property. So there
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: you go eat some oysters, don't they say they were.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: It raises your libido too, right's yeah, yeah, yeah, you'd
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: be strong when you do, you'll be strong. Sunflower seeds, Carla,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: that's your favorite, full of vitamin E and these help
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: boots immunity. So get you some sunflower seeds people. Yeah,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: how about some yogurt? Yeah, yurt can't do yoga yo,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I don't do it because of the dairy. But it
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: says it's also a great source of probiotics to help
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: your immune system. It protects your immune system. Yeah, like yogurt.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Uh huh. Guava it's a tropical fruit. It has three
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: hundred and fifty percent more vitamin C than an orange,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: and it's loaded with vitamin A. It's loaded with fiber
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Vitamin K too. Nobody even know they need vitamin don't
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: look like what do that look like? I think? Is
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: it green? Kind of ugly green color? Yeah? Yeah, it
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: looked like avocado. No, no, no, that ain't what she
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: said said it was green. Yeah, I didn't say that.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Ain't why you don't like me? Why? Why you what
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: is it me? She listened to me. Yeah, every time
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: you say something stupid, And I commented on. It's not
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: because I don't like you, it's just maybe what you
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: said it's so stupid. She said it's green like avocado.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: She said, no, you said it was like green. Well,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: grapes is green, kale is green? That is No. I
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: didn't say none by no grapes. I said, wow, like avocado.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: Is that what it looks like? That's what I was answering. No, that'sdoo.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Thank you. Why do you not like me? Though? Thank you? Junior?
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: Say it again, Junior, No, avocado looked like an avocadova
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: fruit looks just like a guava fruit. No, that's when
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I see one, they're gonna say that's a guava. Fru'll
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: have a sign, but he won't put up. But he
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: won't put an avocado in his basket thinking it's a
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: damn guavo. Tast be different. More trending stories. We'll be
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: back on the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Show, all right,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: So Lionel Richie says it maybe time for a new
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: version of We Are the World, you know, this time
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: to raise money to fight this disease. It's coronavirus. Uh
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: Lionel didn't expect the thirty fifth anniversary of the charity single,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: which he of course wrote with the late Michael Jackson,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: would be so significant now, but he feels that the
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: global pandemic has made its message so clear once again.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: He even points to one line that stands out in
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: a time of social distancing. He says, there's a choice
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: we're making. We're saving our own lives. Um we are.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Then Bob Dylancy the worst line. There's a charge with
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: me again. Why did they put they had to get
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: all all the most powerful singers and musicians during that time?
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Well calls a social distancing. I don't see this song
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: coming back. Yeah, it was released back in nineteen eighty five. Yeah,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: it rates more than sixty three million dollars in humanitarian
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: aid for Africa. I never knew the final things the
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: same studio anymore. Steve Technology. Yeah, well, you know what
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: made it cool was the video they was. It was
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: hard to get that much talent together one time. Remember
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: QUC Jones produced Boy did you see that dude singing
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: next to Michael and he was off key and Michael
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: turn like, man, what damn noticed yours? What do you
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: do all right? We'll have more of the coming up
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: you're listening to. Everybody knows where we are in this
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: country right now. We're updated just about every day, Steve.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: With the president and his coronavirus up, we're not seeing
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: you all today. I'm I'm feeling a little bit less
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: and less comfortable with him as a leader because he
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: intertwined too much of his own personal The other day
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: it was it's really hard for a rich guy to
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: run for president. Hey man, nobody needs to hear that.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: At this time. We need information, we need results, and
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: we need some logistics going on. And then he come,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: you know, talking about Mitch McConnell came out and talked
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: about how the Democrats are slowing down the stimulus package.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: See what they're trying to do is turn this thing
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: that really got out of hand because our leader said
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: that for two weeks this was a hoax. We could
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: have been two weeks further of the road if he
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: wasn't saying it was a hoax. But now the stimulus package,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: let me help y'all understand something. This stimulus package is
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: designed for a few things. They're trying to keep companies
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: alive and thriving. But now it's important for him to
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: keep the businesses alive. And he's correct and that when
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: this war with the virus is over, you still want
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: to be able to get back and have an economy.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: But what the Democrats are over there fighting for is
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: not enough of this stimulus package. It's gonna get itself
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: down to the people who are hurting right now. He
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: keeps saying he's concerned with the worker, but his concern
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: with the worker is at the upper level to keep
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: the companies open. What you need to have open so
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: the workers that have somewhere to go. But the Democrats
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: know that there's a deeper problem going on down there,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: whether you're working or not right now, and we got
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: to get this problem solved. And he's got more of
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: the efforts of the stimulus package coming from the Republicans
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: to take care of the businesses instead of taking care
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: of business and I'm excuse me, instead of taking care
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: of people. Now, if you say that you need the
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: businesses to stay alive, which is true, so the people
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: will have jobs to go back to. That's the truth.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: But there are other problems too, and the Democrats are
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: trying to make sure that the people at the bottom survive.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: To see, a company can go two months without a check,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: the regular person can't GM gonna survive, Ford gonna survive
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: two months down the worker is going to be hurting
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: if he don't get a check for two months. Let
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: me ask you about that other steag. The airlines has
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: made billions of dollars. Let's just say, on an annual basis,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: you made billions of dollars. Why is it that day
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: now they almost seeing they almost seem to be bankrupt
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: because well, you know, look, man, big business can't report
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: everything is profit. They got to give out dividems, they
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: got to payout salaries, and they got that. They got
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: to make it a peer as though over here, yeah,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: that they got so much overhead that they can't make money.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: All of them airlines was making money. Why they open
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: all of them? Coming up our last break of the day,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Our last break of the day. It's the last break
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: of the day. I love it. And some closing remarks
