- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out to turn turn water to the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water got come come on your baby, Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: show will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man got a radio show because
- 2:13Speaker 1: God is in the blessing business. I just happened to
- 2:17Speaker 1: be a recipient. I just happened to got a couple
- 2:21Speaker 1: of things right, and man, his grace and mercy carries
- 2:28Speaker 1: you the rest of the way. All you got to
- 2:30Speaker 1: do is get a couple of things right, and then
- 2:33Speaker 1: his grace and his mercy will take over his favor,
- 2:38Speaker 1: his love of you. It's it's already evident. I mean,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you know, because so many times we go along without
- 2:44Speaker 1: even acknowledging him or conferring with him in our decisions,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and we look up when we find ourselves in a predicament,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and he always comes to the rescue. He always manages
- 2:56Speaker 1: to show up. He's never too he's never one minute
- 3:01Speaker 1: too late. And so in light of this to date,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I wanted to talk to you about something. It's another
- 3:10Speaker 1: principle of success that I'd like to share with everybody
- 3:15Speaker 1: this morning. And once again, these are not things that
- 3:18Speaker 1: you don't know or you've never heard before. These are
- 3:22Speaker 1: just reminders along the way. And one of the things
- 3:26Speaker 1: you have to be conscious of is don't be afraid
- 3:28Speaker 1: to change. Don't be afraid to change because change is
- 3:33Speaker 1: coming anyway. See, I have a theory, don't be afraid
- 3:38Speaker 1: to change because change is coming anyway. You know, everything changes,
- 3:43Speaker 1: nothing remains the same nothing, and change is inevitable. Now,
- 3:49Speaker 1: you could participate in the change, or you can react
- 3:54Speaker 1: to the change. Are you following me? You can participate
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the change, or you can react to the change.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But don't be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. Now,
- 4:09Speaker 1: what I mean by that is this, in participating in
- 4:13Speaker 1: the change or reacting in the change, there is a difference. See,
- 4:19Speaker 1: if you react to the change, that means the change
- 4:23Speaker 1: has occurred and now you have to make the necessary
- 4:26Speaker 1: adjustments to the change. Example, the boss walks in, you
- 4:32Speaker 1: think your job is good. The boss walks in and
- 4:34Speaker 1: hands you a pink slip. That right there, that's a change.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Now you didn't participate in this change because you didn't
- 4:42Speaker 1: ask for the pink slip. But now you got to
- 4:45Speaker 1: react to the pink slip. Whenever you have to react
- 4:49Speaker 1: to the change, it's an adjustment period. It almost throws
- 4:55Speaker 1: you off. So change is going to come. It always does.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You could participate or you can react. Or let's say
- 5:09Speaker 1: your boss comes in and hands you the pink slip
- 5:13Speaker 1: and you said, you know what I've been preparing for
- 5:16Speaker 1: this day. Always knew nothing last forever. I've been working
- 5:22Speaker 1: on the sideline on the business idea I had and
- 5:25Speaker 1: I had, or I had several other applications in around town.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I was just holding off to see what was going going.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So when they hand you the pink slip, the transition
- 5:35Speaker 1: to adjustment you make is a lot more smooth a
- 5:38Speaker 1: transition because now you just transition into your new business
- 5:42Speaker 1: I did that you've been working on, or you transition
- 5:44Speaker 1: into the apps you already had in or the contact
- 5:47Speaker 1: you made the preparation for when the day they're coming
- 5:50Speaker 1: in hand you the pink slip we stee what did
- 5:53Speaker 1: they surprise you with it? This is just one example
- 5:55Speaker 1: I'm giving you, so you know, let's not nick pick
- 5:59Speaker 1: the message. So what I'm saying to everybody is, don't
- 6:04Speaker 1: be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. So
- 6:08Speaker 1: many people are stuck in a rut because of your
- 6:12Speaker 1: our refusal to change. I was hell bent on a
- 6:17Speaker 1: certain thing going a certain way, and this is how
- 6:20Speaker 1: I was going to go. Well, that that I was
- 6:23Speaker 1: thinking didn't really fit. Now in my own personal experience,
- 6:28Speaker 1: this may not be yours, but in my own personal experience,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the things that I've had the most trouble letting go
- 6:34Speaker 1: of was something I wanted. When I line myself up
- 6:40Speaker 1: with the will of God to ask God what he
- 6:43Speaker 1: wanted for me. You understand, those things came a lot
- 6:48Speaker 1: more easy to me because it was in the will
- 6:52Speaker 1: of God. It was what God wanted me to do too. Okay,
- 6:55Speaker 1: see what you mean by that? Okay, here we go.
- 6:58Speaker 1: When things were going wrong in relationships for me, what
- 7:04Speaker 1: I did was the biggest mistake I've ever made was
- 7:08Speaker 1: I attempted to fix what was wrong in my relationship
- 7:12Speaker 1: outside of the relationship filming. Okay, so I'm out there
- 7:18Speaker 1: working my groove like I want to. Well, now, guess what,
- 7:22Speaker 1: there's a cause and effect for all of that too.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Your house ain't gonna get better. It can't. And then
- 7:30Speaker 1: in that lady's room for some other things. And so
- 7:33Speaker 1: now that when the change come, guess what, I gotta
- 7:37Speaker 1: react to it. Now, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta
- 7:41Speaker 1: have a reaction to it. Had I lined myself up
- 7:44Speaker 1: in the will of God, the transition may have grown differently.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It could have still ended the relationship. But guess what,
- 7:54Speaker 1: some of the pain I was in I ain't had
- 7:56Speaker 1: to go through. I bought a lot on myself. Sometimes
- 8:01Speaker 1: you're pursuing a passion of yours, and what God really
- 8:06Speaker 1: wants you to do is pursue your gift. So now
- 8:09Speaker 1: you're pursuing your passion. Right, you're passionate about golf. You
- 8:14Speaker 1: love golf so much you just determine. But now you're
- 8:17Speaker 1: messed around. You ain't made it on the PGA Tour yet,
- 8:21Speaker 1: and you fortify still talking about I'm gonna play on
- 8:23Speaker 1: the PGA Tour. Really, Okay, maybe you ain't as good
- 8:27Speaker 1: as as you think, or maybe you're not as gifted
- 8:29Speaker 1: as you think maybe you're pursuing a passion. Sometimes, man,
- 8:33Speaker 1: we have to change and we have to ask God
- 8:37Speaker 1: what is his will? His will is much simpler. It's
- 8:41Speaker 1: a simpler rule. Not going to be easier, it's simpler.
- 8:45Speaker 1: See when I wake up. Now, it's simple for me
- 8:48Speaker 1: to wake up because I know that are a few
- 8:50Speaker 1: things that I have to do. I have to click
- 8:54Speaker 1: this mic on. I have to be positive. I have
- 8:57Speaker 1: to be inspirational. I have to be informative. I have
- 9:01Speaker 1: to be uplifting. Got it, That's what he want. All
- 9:04Speaker 1: I got to do is sit down, close my eyes,
- 9:07Speaker 1: ask God to help me be who he wants me
- 9:10Speaker 1: to be. And for the most part, he tell me
- 9:13Speaker 1: what to say. Now, guess what he's done though, to
- 9:17Speaker 1: create this in me. I went through enough things in
- 9:20Speaker 1: my life. I had enough challenges. I made plenty of mistakes.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So I now, at my age, I can turn around
- 9:27Speaker 1: and tell somebody listening to me, Okay, this is what
- 9:30Speaker 1: I did. This is a mistake I made. Maybe you
- 9:32Speaker 1: see yourself in this story right here. Maybe you don't
- 9:34Speaker 1: have to go this way, or this is what I've
- 9:36Speaker 1: learned about becoming successful. Here's a principle that I learned,
- 9:40Speaker 1: but then guess what, I had to be unsuccessful to
- 9:43Speaker 1: get it though did not. So you can't have a
- 9:45Speaker 1: testimony without a test Change is coming. It's inevitable. You
- 9:49Speaker 1: can participate or you can react. I much prefer to
- 9:53Speaker 1: participate in the change. All right, let's go. You're listening show, aren't.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Everybody is too? You got one day in the hole.
- 10:06Speaker 1: All you gotta do is do this one and then
- 10:08Speaker 1: you got another day. And we're gonna make it funner
- 10:10Speaker 1: for you. Is that right, group, We're gonna make it funner. Yeah, yes,
- 10:15Speaker 1: and here to make it funn it's gonna be Miss
- 10:18Speaker 1: Shirley straw Man. What up, Sharley? You got that right?
- 10:21Speaker 1: Let's have some fun on this Tuesday. Good morning, Good

- 10:47Speaker 1: my partner. Will you down. I'm down though, and lasting

- 10:59Speaker 1: the house? Fun? Hill up in him? Rest in peace? Man.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I did not know he wrote that song. I just
- 11:10Speaker 1: I knew that song, but I didn't know there was
- 11:12Speaker 1: a DMX song. I didn't. I'm sorry. I apologize. I learn,
- 11:15Speaker 1: I learned. Look how I'm looking at you? What I
- 11:21Speaker 1: do know? My best DMX movie is barely that. I
- 11:24Speaker 1: mean that one, right? That was the very first one, right, yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 1: investment best movie. Yeah. He was a very interesting guy.
- 11:34Speaker 1: He really was. Man, he really was man like our house.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Anyone like him, there would never be boy boy energy
- 11:45Speaker 1: oh man, Yes, like like Tommy was saying the other day.
- 11:49Speaker 1: There was a picture. I don't know where he was performing,
- 11:52Speaker 1: but it was a seat of white people that you
- 11:56Speaker 1: do You know what concert that was? Anybody you know?
- 11:59Speaker 1: It was festival? Probably probably, yeah, some kind of It
- 12:04Speaker 1: was the Essence Fest. No, they were outside, they were outside, right, yeah,
- 12:09Speaker 1: any outside? It was a white the Hoodie Awards. Look,
- 12:16Speaker 1: you know how I know it wasn't Essence because you
- 12:17Speaker 1: didn't see green, pink, yellow suits lavender suits. It was
- 12:23Speaker 1: not you see no hats. That's how you know. It
- 12:25Speaker 1: wasn't essence, man. It wasn't saying the soul it was
- 12:33Speaker 1: the hoodie was it could have been the Soul Training Awards.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Was it that? I have no idea. That's that's it, Jay,
- 12:40Speaker 1: That's what it was. That's right, that's exactly what it was. Yeah, well,
- 12:51Speaker 1: we got a good show to day a right, yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know. And before we get to it, let's say
- 12:55Speaker 1: happy birthday to Al Green, one of the great Green

- 13:05Speaker 1: still holding the brit over all these man make Yeah,

- 13:25Speaker 1: leaving up and some bacon and some bacon bits in it.
- 13:32Speaker 1: All right, listen, coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:36Speaker 1: be our we're gonna do a little bit of Ask
- 13:39Speaker 1: bitter Man, all right, right after this, oh lord, you're

- 13:48Speaker 1: Ask bitter Man, Ask bitter Man, and Bitter man, you're
- 13:53Speaker 1: here for these questions, of course from our audience, and
- 13:55Speaker 1: you always have a disclaimer before we get dim. This
- 13:59Speaker 1: ain't saying finna help nobody. Okay, what I'm about to
- 14:03Speaker 1: say ain't nobody finna get no help, no n because
- 14:08Speaker 1: that's on this show. Help You ain't gonna get nothing
- 14:11Speaker 1: out of this, all right. This one's from Stacy in Detroit.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Stacy says, I'm a thirty two year old single woman
- 14:19Speaker 1: and I'm dating a man with four children. He's been
- 14:22Speaker 1: divorced for six years, and he told me he was
- 14:25Speaker 1: looking for a woman that would accept his children and
- 14:28Speaker 1: be a good stepmom. He also said he was dating
- 14:31Speaker 1: to get married, so if I wasn't serious, I needed
- 14:33Speaker 1: to let him know. We've been together for nine months
- 14:35Speaker 1: and when he has his kids at home, he expects
- 14:38Speaker 1: me to cook, clean and take care of them. Is
- 14:41Speaker 1: this a trial period to see if I can handle
- 14:43Speaker 1: the kids? Or is he just using me as a babysitter.
- 14:47Speaker 1: What he's looking for is a nanny. That's what he's
- 14:50Speaker 1: looking for. He's trying to see if you nanny material.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It ain't wife, it ain't no soul mate. He needs
- 15:01Speaker 1: a nanny. Now. This inward needs a nannin now, Okay,
- 15:05Speaker 1: that's what he needs. He needs a nanny. Okayo kids,
- 15:10Speaker 1: no folkids, run for the hills. Yeah, and she's single,
- 15:15Speaker 1: no kids in thirty two? Come on, and like me,
- 15:18Speaker 1: he probably got full baby mamas. So no, he needs
- 15:22Speaker 1: a nanny. Oh you do, that's news. Okay. I don't
- 15:27Speaker 1: have full baby mamas. I have three, thank you very much. Okay,
- 15:34Speaker 1: all right, listen, we're moving on with as bitter man
- 15:37Speaker 1: Emilio in the Bay Area says, I'm in my mid
- 15:40Speaker 1: fifties and h I've had a little work done, Okay,
- 15:43Speaker 1: here and there, I had an eyelift, I got veneers
- 15:46Speaker 1: on my teeth, and I got lightful suction on my
- 15:48Speaker 1: abdomen and love handles. I'm serious about my looks because
- 15:52Speaker 1: I do print modeling. I was Danny, a woman, and
- 15:55Speaker 1: she recently broke up with me because she says I
- 15:57Speaker 1: have low self esteem and I refuse to grow old gracefully.
- 16:01Speaker 1: This is not the case at all. I just believe
- 16:03Speaker 1: in keeping my look so I can keep my paycheck.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Should I keep trying to get her back or move on?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Bitcher man, Here's the problem. This woman does not recognize
- 16:13Speaker 1: you anymore. That's the problem. She don't. She don't know
- 16:19Speaker 1: who the hell who you are. You can't you know,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I'm no, no, you can't leave it and come back
- 16:25Speaker 1: looking at somebody looking like somebody else. This is causing
- 16:28Speaker 1: a problem in your relationship because you're a new person.
- 16:32Speaker 1: She don't know who the hell you are. You know
- 16:35Speaker 1: that your new dude, use a new dude this morning
- 16:40Speaker 1: when the hot cheeks come back with you know what
- 16:42Speaker 1: I meant a flat cheek? Now you got a hot
- 16:44Speaker 1: cheeks and more than like you doesn't bleach your skin.
- 16:47Speaker 1: You come back looking like hell debage and you just
- 16:50Speaker 1: look like um George Wallace. I mean, that will cause
- 16:53Speaker 1: a problem in anybody's relationship. You can't lead a house
- 16:58Speaker 1: and come back with a six pack that. You can't
- 17:02Speaker 1: do that. So that's the issue, Emilia. She don't know
- 17:07Speaker 1: who he is. She has no idea who he is. Right,
- 17:10Speaker 1: all right, lead with a ball spot and come back
- 17:13Speaker 1: with a head full of hand man or vice versa.
- 17:18Speaker 1: You can't leave with a head full of hand and
- 17:20Speaker 1: come back balls. This live ain't working. It's me, Yes,
- 17:29Speaker 1: you gotta say it's me. It is me. All right,
- 17:34Speaker 1: We're moving on Teddy and says, I'm twenty nine years
- 17:37Speaker 1: old and I met a woman on a trip to Jamaica,
- 17:40Speaker 1: and she's beautiful and smart and everything I was looking
- 17:43Speaker 1: for and a woman. We FaceTime each other all of
- 17:46Speaker 1: the time, but it's only when she reaches out to me.
- 17:50Speaker 1: When I call her, she always says it's a bad connection.
- 17:54Speaker 1: And she planned to come visit me a month ago,
- 17:56Speaker 1: but she said something came up and she never came.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I know if she's playing me or not. And with
- 18:02Speaker 1: the distance, I will never know. Should I do a
- 18:04Speaker 1: pop up trip to Jamaica or break up? Dude? Tell
- 18:11Speaker 1: me you want to get something this go ahead, time
- 18:13Speaker 1: to get something. Don't You're gonna pop up and scare
- 18:15Speaker 1: the hell out to yourself. Don't you get the popping
- 18:17Speaker 1: on it. Honestly, a lot of people try to do
- 18:20Speaker 1: some pop up and get get shut completely down. But
- 18:24Speaker 1: in Jamaica, though, timmy run, Why are you doing here? Man?
- 18:33Speaker 1: Why are you doing here your time all this week?
- 18:35Speaker 1: It's nothing. No, your lady came over here for some
- 18:39Speaker 1: relaxation and I'm going to give it to her. He
- 18:42Speaker 1: got a whole husband at home. Yeah, you pop up
- 18:45Speaker 1: over there? You might get a cap popped in your ass.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Don't go You not following that up? Yeah, the name
- 18:52Speaker 1: what's the name of Dexter? Saint Jock? No, you don't
- 19:00Speaker 1: want to pop up, and don't do it, Teddy, stay
- 19:05Speaker 1: in Charlotte, all right. So the last one is Clifton
- 19:08Speaker 1: in Kentucky. Clifton says, I'm a twenty nine year old
- 19:11Speaker 1: single male and I'm trying to get my life together
- 19:14Speaker 1: after spending six years in jail for petty theft. I
- 19:18Speaker 1: had just graduated from college and had a girlfriend when
- 19:21Speaker 1: I went to jail, and while I was gone, she
- 19:23Speaker 1: had a baby and got married. Her child is six
- 19:27Speaker 1: years old, and her mom told me that the child
- 19:30Speaker 1: is most likely mine. The girl will not let me
- 19:33Speaker 1: do a DNA test because she led her husband adopt
- 19:37Speaker 1: the child. Do I have any rights on this matter? Dude?
- 19:42Speaker 1: You you you've scot free from baby troubles. Why why,
- 19:47Speaker 1: why the hell are you trying to follow this You
- 19:51Speaker 1: had diapers, nothing, she says, it ain't you let it
- 19:56Speaker 1: go dude, seriously? Or j he went to he went
- 20:02Speaker 1: to jail for pitty phil steal your baby back to me?
- 20:07Speaker 1: Are you right now? I don't play steal your baby
- 20:13Speaker 1: back another word, I'll steal your baby back, baby back back. Wow. Well,
- 20:22Speaker 1: congratulations on getting your life together though, Twiston and Kentucky
- 20:27Speaker 1: graduating from college all of that. Congratulations on that part
- 20:30Speaker 1: about everybody deserved the second chail. But lead that baby
- 20:33Speaker 1: a loan. Damn that baby. Man know that baby looks
- 20:45Speaker 1: just like him too. All right, thank you? I think
- 20:51Speaker 1: bitter man coming up next, the nephew would run that
- 20:54Speaker 1: prank back right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Miss Anne
- 21:03Speaker 1: is standing by with today's national news and an entertainment news.

- 21:11Speaker 1: Prince Harry is back in the UK for his grandfather's funeral,
- 21:14Speaker 1: and Kanye West is asking for joint custody. We'll talk
- 21:19Speaker 1: about all of these stories at the top of the hour,

- 22:24Speaker 1: wanted me to call you. I wanted to tell you that,
- 22:27Speaker 1: you know, she didn't decide that she wanted to start
- 22:29Speaker 1: hanging with me. She wanted me to come up to
- 22:31Speaker 1: the house and pick up stuff up. Oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Really maybe that's what's going on you calling me. She
- 22:38Speaker 1: then told you to call me and tell me basically
- 22:43Speaker 1: what I wanted to do, saying and just have a
- 22:45Speaker 1: man to man talk with and just let you know
- 22:48Speaker 1: you that's that's what that's what's going on right now.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Don't do it because right now you just talking a
- 22:53Speaker 1: bunch of what's up? Now? What I'm saying any other day,
- 22:55Speaker 1: you know, I'm already making room for her at my apartment.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'm just trying to come. Uh listen, that ain't none
- 23:05Speaker 1: of it. It's whatever. If you want to come, do,
- 23:09Speaker 1: come you. But it ain't going out. We ain't. We
- 23:11Speaker 1: ain't going out without a fight. I'm not tripping. I'm
- 23:15Speaker 1: not tripping with you, and I'm not tripping with all.
- 23:17Speaker 1: But you come to my house. Somebody getting from my house,
- 23:21Speaker 1: then it's going down, me and you, me and you.
- 23:24Speaker 1: So what's up? You're coming to get us because I'm
- 23:27Speaker 1: on the road right now and then shrucks, but dob

- 23:36Speaker 1: let's back up and see. Like I say, I'm trying
- 23:38Speaker 1: to lessen you know where. Then when you gotta have
- 23:40Speaker 1: no problem, I want to do it. Come in the
- 23:41Speaker 1: house and get her stuff and pack it up so
- 23:44Speaker 1: I can get it over to me. You think you're
- 23:46Speaker 1: just gonna come in to my house, and I've been

- 24:00Speaker 1: a woman. Why don't you bring it to me? Why
- 24:02Speaker 1: she didn't bring it to me? You know what I'm saying,
- 24:05Speaker 1: what's what's out? What y'all want to be together? Now? On?
- 24:08Speaker 1: She ain't no more? All I know is she was
- 24:11Speaker 1: feeling me. That's all I'm saying. She was feeling me.
- 24:14Speaker 1: You know, she telling me. I mean, dude, you have
- 24:19Speaker 1: a problem with her league because that's her choice. You
- 24:22Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. If she claims she want to
- 24:23Speaker 1: be with me, that's what she won't. You know, I
- 24:25Speaker 1: ain't knocking what nobody do you understand? But what I'm
- 24:28Speaker 1: trying to tell you, she's telling me she want to
- 24:30Speaker 1: be with me. So I'm just trying to get you

- 24:34Speaker 1: go there? Why you ain't there? Ain't get our stuff?
- 24:36Speaker 1: Dog all this? Didn't keep saying no, I don't. I
- 24:41Speaker 1: ain't got the rational lot thing with you. She needs
- 24:44Speaker 1: to be the one telling me all it is and

- 28:54Speaker 1: make you know, work the room. Yes, that's the thing.

- 30:19Speaker 1: Prince Harry has reportedly arrived in the UK to attend
- 30:22Speaker 1: his grandfather's funeral. Unfortunately, as pregnant wife Magan Markle was
- 30:27Speaker 1: not clear to travel because she's near her due date.
- 30:31Speaker 1: This will be Harry's first time back in the UK
- 30:33Speaker 1: since he and Megan stepped down as senior royals in
- 30:36Speaker 1: March of last year and their bombshell interview with Oprah.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Prince Philip's funeral will be this Saturday. Now. As for
- 30:44Speaker 1: the Queen, sources say she's been doing amazing since the
- 30:49Speaker 1: death of her husband. They were together for seventy three years.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I don't know how to take that. I don't either.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I die you feeling amazing exactly, Queen need to be
- 31:03Speaker 1: down or something? I mean, not doing real date, I'm
- 31:08Speaker 1: doing amazing. I'm amazing. That what I do know she
- 31:14Speaker 1: said she was doing amazing. If the sources thing she's
- 31:17Speaker 1: holding up, she's doing amazing, well the sort, yeah, that's
- 31:20Speaker 1: why I said. The sources did say it. But still
- 31:23Speaker 1: for anyone to say, anybody go back to your original statement,
- 31:30Speaker 1: crumpets right now, I don't if she got a hat
- 31:33Speaker 1: back on that spinning a purse man, that ain't any
- 31:36Speaker 1: good sense. Yeah, I was amazing, even even the adjective
- 31:40Speaker 1: here you know something? All right, did Megan? Do you
- 31:46Speaker 1: think Megan wanted to go? I know she can't go
- 31:49Speaker 1: and think she wanted don't. Yeah, she probably wanted to
- 31:52Speaker 1: support her husband, I will say that. But as far
- 31:56Speaker 1: as going back over there with all the drama and
- 31:59Speaker 1: and you know and all of that, she probably didn't
- 32:01Speaker 1: want to deal with that, especially now that she's with child.
- 32:04Speaker 1: You know, keep the stress out of your life. You know,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you walk in the funeral, turn around, why she is? Yeah?
- 32:14Speaker 1: What what color's let? Look who at the funeral? Right?
- 32:22Speaker 1: You know how to say this? Though? For Harry, though,
- 32:24Speaker 1: he gave up his whole rights and titles for that woman. Man,
- 32:28Speaker 1: that is beautiful. That is a beautiful because you know
- 32:33Speaker 1: what a black woman do. But because Tom soap Us
- 32:35Speaker 1: is in relationships, we won't to take off a Wednesday.
- 32:40Speaker 1: He gave up his whole title. You can't Jane to
- 32:44Speaker 1: take off Wendy. I denounced my throne. And finally, as
- 32:49Speaker 1: we move on in entertainment dues, Kanye West is asking
- 32:52Speaker 1: for joint custody and the divorce petition from Kim Kardashian
- 32:55Speaker 1: his wife. According to TMZ, the couple wants to work
- 32:58Speaker 1: out a co parenting situate. There is a pre nup
- 33:01Speaker 1: already in place, so there shouldn't be a big deal
- 33:04Speaker 1: of dividing up the assets and all of that. So
- 33:07Speaker 1: that's cool. He's a good dad. He really is a
- 33:10Speaker 1: good dad. She said that over and over. I'm sure.
- 33:14Speaker 1: All right, time now, Jay for today's headlines. As we
- 33:17Speaker 1: looked to miss Anne for information and an update on
- 33:20Speaker 1: the school shooting that happened in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jay, all right, everybody,
- 33:24Speaker 1: it's time for the news with miss Anne. Trip very much.
- 33:28Speaker 1: This is a trip with the news. While President Biden
- 33:30Speaker 1: is weighing in on yet another incident in Minnesota where
- 33:33Speaker 1: an unarmed black man was killed by a white police officer,
- 33:36Speaker 1: this time by a white female officer who claims she
- 33:39Speaker 1: meant to fire her taser but used her service pistol instead.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Question is was it an accident intentional That remains to
- 33:48Speaker 1: be determined by fullball investigation. Twenty year old Dante White
- 33:53Speaker 1: was stopped in a Minnesota suburb called a Brooklyn Center
- 33:56Speaker 1: for having an air freshener hanging from his back window.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Apparently that's illegal there and expired tags. Cops checked and
- 34:03Speaker 1: found that he had an outstanding warrant. They say Dante
- 34:05Speaker 1: White was shot as he tried to get back into
- 34:08Speaker 1: the car with his girlfriend who was inside. Some forty
- 34:11Speaker 1: people were arrested in protests over this overnight, and there
- 34:14Speaker 1: were clashes also early Monday morning between Black Lives Matter
- 34:17Speaker 1: protests and cops in that Minnesota suburb. Meanwhile, only about
- 34:21Speaker 1: ten miles away in Minneapolis, the trial of Derek Chauvin
- 34:24Speaker 1: entered his third week, and because of the killing of
- 34:27Speaker 1: Dante Smith, Chauvin's lawyer asked to judge at one point
- 34:30Speaker 1: to sequester the jury. In the George Floyd murder case,
- 34:33Speaker 1: he refused. On the stand. Yesterday, doctor Jonathan Richard cardiologists
- 34:37Speaker 1: who viewed all the police body camp and testified that
- 34:40Speaker 1: Floyd's heart stopped yeah, because he couldn't get any air,
- 34:43Speaker 1: not because he had a heart attack, and that neither
- 34:45Speaker 1: he nor the crowd that day were any danger to
- 34:47Speaker 1: the cops who restrained him. Right now, right now, so here.
- 34:58Speaker 1: The audio starts with the buy standers saying that mister
- 35:02Speaker 1: Floyd is not responsive, pleading with officers to check his pulse.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Officer King does so, spends six or seven seconds checking
- 35:13Speaker 1: looks like two locations or maybe trying to get a
- 35:16Speaker 1: pulse on the same location twice, before ultimately announcing that
- 35:20Speaker 1: he can't find a pulse. Someone who does not have
- 35:23Speaker 1: a pulse does not present a threaten any way. Maryland's
- 35:26Speaker 1: majority Democratic legislature has overridden the governor's veto there and
- 35:30Speaker 1: pass changes designed to reduce police brutality and the use
- 35:33Speaker 1: of excessive force in Maryland. The director of Maryland's ACLU says, quote,
- 35:37Speaker 1: this is what the community wants. They want reform, they
- 35:40Speaker 1: want transparency, and they want accountability. The governor of Texas,
- 35:44Speaker 1: Greg Abbott, says that his statu is close to achieving
- 35:47Speaker 1: herd immunity. He said that to Chris Walls on Fox.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Then he had to admit he didn't even know what
- 35:50Speaker 1: hurt Muney was. Yeah, somebody needs help. Now back to
- 35:56Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening, day Hartnoll, Right, Junior,
- 36:03Speaker 1: Let's introduce Jay. Okay, Well, here it is my writing buddy,
- 36:07Speaker 1: my sick partner. Let's take a look into the mind
- 36:10Speaker 1: of the darkest place we know Jay Frank, It's coming
- 36:16Speaker 1: up around. I don't know when, but I'm maybe in May.

- 36:29Speaker 1: is like, I'm not judging anybody. I don't want to.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Don't send me letters and cards. It's just my opinion
- 36:35Speaker 1: of people who need to let it go. I'm not
- 36:38Speaker 1: saying what they need to let go. I'm just saying
- 36:41Speaker 1: I've seen some things and they need to let it go. Okay,
- 36:46Speaker 1: I won't say what it is you need to let go.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Snoop Dog, we love you, but it's time to let
- 36:55Speaker 1: it go. I didn't say what he needed to let
- 36:57Speaker 1: go because I'm not that type of person. I wouldn't
- 36:59Speaker 1: do that and put somebody on front. You know, you
- 37:03Speaker 1: don't know what I'm thinking. You know, I'm just saying,
- 37:05Speaker 1: Snoop Dog needs to let it go for shizzle, whatever
- 37:12Speaker 1: the nizzle, what how do we want to do it?
- 37:14Speaker 1: It needs to be let go? All right. We love you,
- 37:21Speaker 1: we love your music, Lizzle, you need to let it go. Okay,
- 37:27Speaker 1: I'm just not talking about how your weight. Don't go
- 37:30Speaker 1: there with that with me, Okay, but you need to
- 37:33Speaker 1: let it go. James Brown, sportscaster. Dude, dude, dude, dude,
- 37:42Speaker 1: let it go. Just let it. It's back, it's back.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Don't don't hold on to it no more. Let it go.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Stop the middle of the middle of it. When you're
- 37:57Speaker 1: in the middle of it, you come. I didn't say that.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I didn't give it away. I didn't give it away.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I didn't say that through it. This is just my opinion.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I'm not criticizing about. We love you, miss Goldberg. We
- 38:21Speaker 1: love you, but enough is enough, Miss Whoopi Goldberg. We
- 38:26Speaker 1: love you. Don't take this the wrong way. It is
- 38:30Speaker 1: time to let it go. Enough enough, it's a new enough. Okay, stopping.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Give me one more? Yeah, help me, help you. I
- 38:50Speaker 1: didn't call nobody's name, so don't be calling here. Jason
- 38:55Speaker 1: Lebron James great basketball player, one of the best. But
- 39:03Speaker 1: it's ten, it's ten to let it go. Yes, let
- 39:11Speaker 1: it go, all right? Listen coming up at thirty four
- 39:14Speaker 1: minutes after the hour this seven to show more of
- 39:17Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this day you're
- 39:22Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Guys, we have
- 39:26Speaker 1: to ask this question, it seems constantly and more and
- 39:29Speaker 1: more now, and that question is what is going on
- 39:32Speaker 1: in this world? I mean, tensions are high between police
- 39:37Speaker 1: and the public in the middle of the Derek Chauvin trial,
- 39:39Speaker 1: and here we go again, what is going on? Sunday
- 39:43Speaker 1: afternoon during a traffic stop, twenty year old Dante Wright
- 39:47Speaker 1: was fatally shot during a traffic stop after a Minnesota
- 39:50Speaker 1: police officers shout at taser but fired a handgun instead.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon said. Police said they
- 39:59Speaker 1: tried to take the driver into custody after learning during
- 40:02Speaker 1: a traffic stop that Dante Wright had outstanding warrants. According
- 40:06Speaker 1: to the body cam footage, Right got out of his
- 40:09Speaker 1: car but then got back in. It's not clear why.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Then you hear a female officer shouting taser, Taser, taser,
- 40:17Speaker 1: but then fires a gun. Not a taser, a gun, right, Yeah,
- 40:23Speaker 1: I mean really uh? And then you hear the female
- 40:26Speaker 1: officers saying, holy shi t U, I shot him. You
- 40:31Speaker 1: know what? Yes, I'm this scares me so much because
- 40:35Speaker 1: I have a twenty four year old son, and I
- 40:39Speaker 1: just I just I cringe every time I see this
- 40:44Speaker 1: because you just don't know when it's gonna be you,
- 40:47Speaker 1: even me, you know what I mean, your children. You
- 40:51Speaker 1: just don't know what day somebody's gonna call you with
- 40:54Speaker 1: some news like this. Because these people are that terrified
- 40:58Speaker 1: at doing their job and and and they make these
- 41:01Speaker 1: careless mistakes. And they have to understand that these young
- 41:05Speaker 1: men they're scared too, that they are scared too. So
- 41:11Speaker 1: you're reacting and they are afraid that what's gonna happen happened, Yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 1: and then you you there kill them. They're afraid of
- 41:20Speaker 1: being killed. That's why why can't you get that through
- 41:23Speaker 1: your head? These these people are human, They're human. They
- 41:27Speaker 1: have targets, yeah, the right, and they are I mean,
- 41:31Speaker 1: I've heard that so much from black men. We feel
- 41:33Speaker 1: like we got a target on our back when we're
- 41:35Speaker 1: stopped by police. I would saying, could it be the
- 41:40Speaker 1: fact that you know, if you see he's African American?
- 41:42Speaker 1: Can we just you know, just have a quick meeting
- 41:44Speaker 1: as officers, like, hey, he may be scared. Can we
- 41:47Speaker 1: just talk about this for a second, because you know,
- 41:51Speaker 1: how do you want us to get out of the car.
- 41:52Speaker 1: That's the next question. How are we supposed to get out. Yeah,
- 41:55Speaker 1: you want to get you scared to grab that that
- 41:59Speaker 1: that handman to open that door. You're scared, take you out. Yeah,
- 42:04Speaker 1: that's a very good point un here, because police officers
- 42:07Speaker 1: aren't the only ones whose lives are at stake. Black
- 42:10Speaker 1: men's lives are at steak from from a routine traffic stop. Right,
- 42:15Speaker 1: Why why is your attitude so escalated when you stop
- 42:20Speaker 1: somebody black? But it's not when you stop somebody Well,
- 42:23Speaker 1: why are you not at the waist so always ready
- 42:26Speaker 1: to shoot, to shoot when you see a black man,
- 42:29Speaker 1: knowing that when you stop him, in most cases, he's
- 42:33Speaker 1: he's frightened, he's yeah, this is gonna be the day
- 42:37Speaker 1: I die, Right, I tell you, because they do not
- 42:41Speaker 1: look at us as human They do not. They don't
- 42:45Speaker 1: look at us like human people. They just really don't.
- 42:49Speaker 1: They really don't. Because we know they're scared, and that's
- 42:52Speaker 1: why they escalate, escalate, escalate, But can you, like you say,
- 42:56Speaker 1: stop for a moment and realize that we might be
- 42:58Speaker 1: too in the taser to me another way, how the
- 43:04Speaker 1: hell you make that mistake? Once you draw your weapon
- 43:06Speaker 1: and it's yellow, it's a The taser is yellow and
- 43:09Speaker 1: they made it yellow for a reason. You don't see that.
- 43:13Speaker 1: It's bright. It's not like a dull yellow. It's a
- 43:15Speaker 1: bright ass yellow, and you don't see it. And for
- 43:18Speaker 1: a traffic stop. You got his tag number, you know
- 43:22Speaker 1: where he lives. You can go in the rest this
- 43:24Speaker 1: guys some other time. Why the hell you cruising looking
- 43:27Speaker 1: at bad tags? But the hell you could call that in? Yeah, surely, yes,
- 43:33Speaker 1: I mean this, it's just and and all of this,
- 43:37Speaker 1: all of this during the Derek Chauvin trial, right, same thing. Yeah, practically,
- 43:43Speaker 1: you know, you like, you don't have an attitude. We
- 43:45Speaker 1: already we already they're already looking at us. We need
- 43:48Speaker 1: to be cool with this, you know. But no, no,
- 43:53Speaker 1: can I request a black officer please safety to live? Yeah,
- 43:59Speaker 1: that's true, I mean yeah, and uh. In other news
- 44:03Speaker 1: out of Minneapolis, during the Derek Chauvin twild yesterday, cardiologist
- 44:07Speaker 1: testified for the prosecution that George Floyd did not have
- 44:10Speaker 1: to die that way, something we already knew. And we'll
- 44:13Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 44:16Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 44:20Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:23Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today, the subject I don't
- 44:26Speaker 1: like the gifts he buys for me. I don't like
- 44:31Speaker 1: the gifts he buys for me. But we'll get into
- 44:34Speaker 1: that in just a bit. Right now, the nephew is
- 44:37Speaker 1: here with today's prank phone call. What you got for
- 44:39Speaker 1: his nest? What kind of gifts we're gonna have to
- 44:41Speaker 1: call to church today, y'all. We're gonna have to call
- 44:44Speaker 1: the days. How much in the account passed? Yeah? I
- 44:50Speaker 1: don't want to know how much is in the account alone,
- 44:58Speaker 1: and it shouldn't be a little back in answer me
- 45:00Speaker 1: and and we can move on and let me get
- 45:08Speaker 1: Let's go cat though. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach
- 45:12Speaker 1: Pastor Hayes. See Pastor Hayes, how are you doing this? Is?
- 45:16Speaker 1: This is brother lin Lenna Thompson. How you doing it?
- 45:20Speaker 1: I'm good brother, and how can I help you today?
- 45:22Speaker 1: Pass I'm actually one of your members at the church,
- 45:26Speaker 1: and I want to just commend you that you're doing
- 45:28Speaker 1: a good job the way you are displaying safety. Let
- 45:32Speaker 1: me say that first and foremost. Okay, cool, thank you.
- 45:35Speaker 1: You know, we just want everybody to be safe and healthy,
- 45:38Speaker 1: and your name again, Brother Lenna Thompson, Okay, and and
- 45:42Speaker 1: and other times I'm I'm kind about to be in
- 45:45Speaker 1: the middle of dinner. How can I help you? Brother? Well,
- 45:47Speaker 1: here's what I wanted to ask you, man, uh pallas,
- 45:51Speaker 1: I want to ask you this. I know, you know
- 45:52Speaker 1: a lot of people are going through different things, and
- 45:54Speaker 1: and people are, you know, trying to make sure they
- 45:58Speaker 1: keep food and stuff in the house because you know,
- 46:00Speaker 1: time like this, you know you kind of want to
- 46:02Speaker 1: stay put, and but you want to make sure you
- 46:04Speaker 1: got enough food and water and things like that. So
- 46:06Speaker 1: but but but what I wanted my reason for calling
- 46:09Speaker 1: you is I wanted to ask you how how much
- 46:12Speaker 1: money do we have in the account? Come again, the
- 46:17Speaker 1: church account? How much money do we have in there? Brother? Brother?
- 46:21Speaker 1: What what do you say? Your name was again? Brother?
- 46:24Speaker 1: My name is a brother, Lennah Thompson. Okay, Brother Thompson.
- 46:27Speaker 1: How did you get my personal self one number to
- 46:30Speaker 1: be calling me at home the time of day? Well?
- 46:32Speaker 1: I got this number from one of the brothers at
- 46:34Speaker 1: the church. What what, brother, the church do they know
- 46:37Speaker 1: not to give my personal lumber out to to people
- 46:39Speaker 1: I don't know you? Well, I'm a I'm a but
- 46:42Speaker 1: I'm a but I'm a member though I'm a member. Well,
- 46:45Speaker 1: how I long you've been a member? Because I've been
- 46:47Speaker 1: passing this church for ten years and your name ain't
- 46:49Speaker 1: familiar to me. How long? How long have you been
- 46:51Speaker 1: a member at my church? I've been a member of
- 46:54Speaker 1: probably going on going on three years now, but I ain't.
- 46:58Speaker 1: I ain't been since, you know, since that day I joined.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I you know, you know, I didn't kind of got
- 47:03Speaker 1: caught out there, you know how I go. But wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 47:06Speaker 1: wait wait wait. So you you've been a member of
- 47:08Speaker 1: my church two or three years? You ain't been to
- 47:10Speaker 1: the church, and two to three years are you calling
- 47:13Speaker 1: me to ask me about finances of my church? Well,
- 47:16Speaker 1: I'm understand what you're looking for. Well, I am a member,
- 47:19Speaker 1: so I mean I do how to don't I have
- 47:22Speaker 1: the right to know what we got in there? What
- 47:23Speaker 1: we got in the account? Actually you don't. You don't
- 47:26Speaker 1: have to write to that question. If you don't actively
- 47:29Speaker 1: come to the church. You can't come to the church,
- 47:30Speaker 1: sign up the church, and then call me three years
- 47:33Speaker 1: later asking me what we got going on at church?
- 47:36Speaker 1: So I need to understand what is your purpose? What well,
- 47:40Speaker 1: like I say, everybody going through hard times. I'm trying
- 47:43Speaker 1: to see what we got in there, because you know,
- 47:46Speaker 1: I need to pick up a few things from the stove.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I don't have the money right now, but shouldn't I
- 47:51Speaker 1: be able to lean on my church though you lean
- 47:54Speaker 1: on it. We've done a lot of stuff in the community.
- 47:56Speaker 1: We've been feeding the elderly. We got a full bank.
- 47:59Speaker 1: We've been that's happing people some money that when we can.
- 48:02Speaker 1: But you ain't been at this church and three years.
- 48:04Speaker 1: You can't call me after three years and think I'm
- 48:07Speaker 1: about to give you some money for something I don't
- 48:09Speaker 1: even know if you're a real member. I am a
- 48:11Speaker 1: real man. I'm a real member. So hold on, hold on,
- 48:13Speaker 1: hold on, hold hold on, past hold on, hold on,
- 48:16Speaker 1: hold on, no, no, no, yould on. Boy. Look here,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I'm trying to sit down here dinner with my family.
- 48:22Speaker 1: You sitting here on my last nerve. Look here, brother Thompson.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I don't know you. I ain't never heard of you.
- 48:28Speaker 1: You am not about to call here and try to
- 48:30Speaker 1: get some money out of me. You ain't even member
- 48:33Speaker 1: of the church. You can't I am a member of
- 48:35Speaker 1: the church because you come to the church one time.
- 48:38Speaker 1: You ain't been back in three years and you come
- 48:41Speaker 1: to me for some money. I am a membtor your mama.
- 48:44Speaker 1: You are not a member of this church, sir, I
- 48:47Speaker 1: am a member of the church. Look, look, look, let
- 48:49Speaker 1: me tell you something. I know. This ain't no. No,
- 48:53Speaker 1: let me tell you where you can't join my church
- 48:55Speaker 1: two or three years ago and called me three years later,
- 48:58Speaker 1: get my number from somebody and ask me for money
- 49:01Speaker 1: because you're gonna through hard times. Now, if you was
- 49:03Speaker 1: a true member of the church, you'll understand how we
- 49:05Speaker 1: work and how we give money to people that are struggling.
- 49:08Speaker 1: I just delivered forty meals today to our elderly huh.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Last week we cash people money to go pick up grocery. Compare,
- 49:16Speaker 1: what do you need? Do you need my cash? App
- 49:19Speaker 1: d do you need my cash? Boy? Boy, you gonna
- 49:22Speaker 1: make me because you ain't even tiring? So how are
- 49:25Speaker 1: you not tiring? And think you wold you? I have
- 49:28Speaker 1: fell on bad times? Didn't I say I fell on
- 49:31Speaker 1: bad times? You feel on bad times for three years? Hey? Hey,
- 49:35Speaker 1: you know it takes longer for some people. Okay, why
- 49:38Speaker 1: are you? Why are you judging me? In opposed trying
- 49:40Speaker 1: to figure out how to cash apt me so I
- 49:42Speaker 1: can get on a number of my church. I don't
- 49:45Speaker 1: know if you some scam artists trying to get money
- 49:47Speaker 1: from the church. Sir, I have never met you. I
- 49:50Speaker 1: don't know you. A matter of fact, I'm about to
- 49:52Speaker 1: call it the deacons to see who you are and
- 49:54Speaker 1: why they would give my number to some points to
- 49:57Speaker 1: call me and ask me for some money. Hey, let
- 49:59Speaker 1: me say this to you. If you don't cash at me,
- 50:01Speaker 1: then I'm funny at all the members that I know you.
- 50:04Speaker 1: I know our church ain't no mega church. You know
- 50:06Speaker 1: we got three four hundred members already know so. But
- 50:10Speaker 1: but I would let every member know that you're not
- 50:12Speaker 1: cash happen to me to help me in a time
- 50:14Speaker 1: I need. I will do that. Rob Thompson, you can
- 50:18Speaker 1: let him know. You can Facebook and Instagram and you
- 50:20Speaker 1: can put it on that TikTok and cad me in it.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I ain't giving you a dime. I don't know you,
- 50:26Speaker 1: I ain't never heard of you. Matter of fact, you
- 50:28Speaker 1: need to get off my phone. I got dinner with
- 50:30Speaker 1: my wife about to go on, man, and I ain't
- 50:32Speaker 1: got tired of be going back and forth with you.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I need to know who gave you my number so
- 50:37Speaker 1: I can call them up and tell them. Don't be
- 50:39Speaker 1: giving my number of some stranger who ain't been our
- 50:42Speaker 1: church in two to three years. Ain't gonna ask me
- 50:44Speaker 1: for some money, some cash out or if you don't
- 50:46Speaker 1: get off this phone, who gave you? Okay, so let
- 50:49Speaker 1: me ask you something. So so you know Deacon, uh,

- 51:25Speaker 1: all right? Man, man, I'm good, man, I'm good, baby, baby,
- 51:28Speaker 1: everything good. My wife Donna came out here, boy, and
- 51:31Speaker 1: you don't want her to set it off? Oh you
- 51:36Speaker 1: don't want the first lady to go out? Okay, man,
- 51:39Speaker 1: But now we take care of our church man. We
- 51:41Speaker 1: feed them, sending the money, man, delivering mills. Man, make
- 51:44Speaker 1: sure everybody good during the time. That's good man, Hey man,

- 53:57Speaker 1: buckle up, hold on tight, we got it for you here. Subject,
- 54:02Speaker 1: I don't like the gifts he buys me. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:05Speaker 1: I love my husband to death. Although he and I
- 54:08Speaker 1: are different in a lot of ways. They say opposite's
- 54:11Speaker 1: a track, and we are living proof of that. He's
- 54:15Speaker 1: very successful and very frugal, to the point that he
- 54:18Speaker 1: won't shop for himself, so I have to do it.
- 54:21Speaker 1: When I met him, I started shopping with him and
- 54:24Speaker 1: for him, and he always complained about prices. He's also
- 54:28Speaker 1: a practical man, so he likes to have the newest
- 54:31Speaker 1: gadgets around the house for repairs and home improvement so
- 54:35Speaker 1: he doesn't have to hire anyone to do it. I'm
- 54:37Speaker 1: just the opposite. I like nice things, fine jewelry, and
- 54:41Speaker 1: fine dining. I prepare. I prefer to hire a housekeeper
- 54:45Speaker 1: or a handyman instead of him doing it, and I
- 54:49Speaker 1: have struggled with that from the beginning. There is also
- 54:53Speaker 1: an area that I will not compromise on. My husband
- 54:57Speaker 1: buys me crappy gifts, and I'm sick of it. He
- 55:01Speaker 1: buys things like artwork that he orders online, or heated
- 55:05Speaker 1: neck massager, the amazing copper non stick skillet, and even
- 55:10Speaker 1: the miraculous knife set that never gets dull. He's even
- 55:16Speaker 1: ordered me some of those leggings that make your butt
- 55:19Speaker 1: look really good. I don't ever use the stuff, so
- 55:22Speaker 1: it's sitting in our basement. I talked to him till
- 55:25Speaker 1: I'm blew in the face about buying me gifts for
- 55:27Speaker 1: our house, but he doesn't listen. And this Christmas he
- 55:30Speaker 1: gave me a food sealer and he ordered that he
- 55:34Speaker 1: ordered from a TV infomercial from Icy a little. I
- 55:42Speaker 1: knew you guys were gonna say that. For my anniversary
- 55:45Speaker 1: last month, he told me he was going all out
- 55:48Speaker 1: and spoiling me. He got a cake from the grocery
- 55:51Speaker 1: store and gave me a gold wide band clustering full
- 55:55Speaker 1: of tiny little diamonds. I took the ring back and
- 55:58Speaker 1: used a two hundred and seventy seven to get a
- 56:00Speaker 1: pair of shoes. He was offended and called me ungrateful.
- 56:04Speaker 1: M I didn't mention that I picked my own engagement
- 56:07Speaker 1: ring out. This is our fourth year of being married.
- 56:11Speaker 1: How can I get him to do better? Zi? Hold on,
- 56:20Speaker 1: How can I get him to do better? She asks? UM, Well,
- 56:24Speaker 1: I don't know, because there's nothing like getting gifts, bad
- 56:27Speaker 1: gifts that you know. I know how that is, especially
- 56:31Speaker 1: when you're all gassed up to think that it's going
- 56:33Speaker 1: to really be nice, like he said, and then you
- 56:35Speaker 1: know it's nothing. But the point is. The point is
- 56:39Speaker 1: he got you something, and for that you should at
- 56:42Speaker 1: least say thank you and be grateful. Clearly, buying you
- 56:46Speaker 1: nice gifts is just not what he does. It's not
- 56:49Speaker 1: what he does. You said, You've talked to him about it,
- 56:52Speaker 1: and still nothing because he doesn't listen and he's not
- 56:56Speaker 1: gonna change. This has been going on for four years now,
- 56:59Speaker 1: probably more than that. This is only important to you.
- 57:03Speaker 1: He doesn't care. And unless he's willing to give you
- 57:07Speaker 1: the money and let you buy your own gifts, or
- 57:09Speaker 1: you could take, you know, some of that stuff back
- 57:11Speaker 1: that he brought you, that's in the basement piling up,
- 57:14Speaker 1: you know, get the money off that. I just say,
- 57:16Speaker 1: pick your battles in this one. Is this worth breaking
- 57:19Speaker 1: up about? Is this worth fighting about? Is this worth
- 57:22Speaker 1: being miserable miserable about? I don't think so. I don't
- 57:25Speaker 1: think it is so. Just like in any other marriage
- 57:28Speaker 1: or any other relationship, you gotta take the good with
- 57:32Speaker 1: the bad. He's a bad gift buyer. Don't get your
- 57:36Speaker 1: hopes up high when it's your birthday or anniversary. He's
- 57:40Speaker 1: not gonna come through for you. But in other ways,
- 57:43Speaker 1: in other ways. You know you love your husband to death.
- 57:46Speaker 1: That's what you said in the letters. So I'm just
- 57:48Speaker 1: telling you just be grateful at this point, right, Just
- 57:51Speaker 1: be grateful, right, all right, Jase, Look, excuse me. The
- 57:55Speaker 1: man and I don't know if it took you for
- 57:58Speaker 1: years to realize, is that man is cheap. Okay, he's
- 58:02Speaker 1: a cheap ass and he will not pass up a sale.
- 58:07Speaker 1: And here's what you do. You take all them cheap
- 58:10Speaker 1: gifts that he gives you throughout the ears, and on
- 58:12Speaker 1: Christmas time you give it to relatives. You know what
- 58:15Speaker 1: I mean, They will be appreciate if that set up

- 1:00:16Speaker 1: and then we're gonna hear from the nephew. The subject
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: of this letter is I don't like the gifts he
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: buys for me. We'll have part two of you guys
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: responses coming up Strawberry Letter right after you're listening to
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, we're gonna
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject, I don't like the
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: gifts he buys me. It's from a woman that loves
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: her husband to death, but she she hates the gifts
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: that he buys her. She says, there, there, there, there
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: are a lot of like but then they're different in
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: a whole lot of ways. But opposite the track, she says, Um,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you know, she shops for him. He always has the
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: newest gadgets on hand because he likes to do the
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: work if there are any repairs needed in the home himself.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: She doesn't like that. She'll hire out for cleaning and
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: for repairs and stuff like that. She hates the gifts
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: that he buys her. She's into fine dining and fine
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: jewelry and stuff, and he's just the opposite. He's cheap,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: and uh, you know, he's always trying to save a coin,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: so he's he's bought her all kinds of things, like
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: the miraculous knife that never gets dull, the copper non
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: stick skillet, the leggings my favorite, my personal favorite, the
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: leggings that make your butt look good. Uh. Just you know.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: All those gifts have piled up in the basement because
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: she doesn't like them. The last gift he boughter was
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: a wide band gold ring with a cluster of tiny diamonds.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: She saw. She took that back and got her some shoes.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: So um, she wants to know how can she get
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: him to do better? Because he's called her ungrateful and
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: he was offended. Junior, you had some more to add
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: to the woman that you called heavily and grateful, heavenly ungrateful.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I don't see first of all, the food sailer. He
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: must have known that you've been letting me go bad.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: It's a great gift that comes on at five fifteen
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: am on the Food Network. I've seen the sailor. I've
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: been thinking about getting it. She's heavenly ungrateful. I cannot,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: I cannot believe this. They don't see the beauty in
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: these gifts come on. It's not the knives that never
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: go though. They get so knives they come out of Japan.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: He comes on at three thirty eight him, I've seen it.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: It's on the food Network. The man be thinking about
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you and the leggings. Come on, he saw you. They
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: had no ass He gave your work, gave you one,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: and you still ungrateful. You need to calm down a
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: little bit. Yeah, you're heavily upset. Yeah, okay, all right,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: come on, nephew, what you got? I don't like I'm riding.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I'm riding with Junior. What do you want? What is
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: it that you want? You don't like that? How about
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: we get you the chip pet? The chip pet would

- 1:03:27Speaker 1: can make the cookies with the gingerbread mold, remember you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: see that. That's beautiful gift? Right then? But you ungrateful,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: like my boys say, But how about this. I'm gonna

- 1:05:21Speaker 1: What about that? What about? What about that thing? I
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: don't know what it's called. But it allows you to
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: lay your your your iPad on it. You can lay
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: your iPad on it, you can put it in the bed.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: It's made the phone. You can flip it over so sladder.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: You don't want that who that man, she's ungrateful heavenly
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: if you don't want to bend down and put your

- 1:05:49Speaker 1: this for you. That cane that's got fourth facts. That
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: cane has got four things on it. You know what
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I'm saying. When you hurricane, yeah, the hurricane Timmy comes
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: on it. Five hurricane I've seen it. You junior you've
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: got all this stuff in his apartment. Yeah, and maybe
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: maybe you're hearing is bad and they got that little
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: hearing that you can you can just put up hooked
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: up to your television so when she's sleep, you won't
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: be bothering her at all. You are grateful, Junior's right
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: that you bring your face and it takes off the
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: bags into your Yes, yes, that heals Scraper when you scrape.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: That did skiing off the bad. So I think it's

- 1:06:44Speaker 1: post your comments on today's Thanks guys on Today's Strawberry
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Check

- 1:07:05Speaker 1: what you got, Junior? Okay, well I saw this game too.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: The debate is on. Let me ask you sometimmy, Jay,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: did y'all see Charlotte's Horning Star Miles Bridges dumped on
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Clint Coppella or Atlanta Hall. What man, Take a listen
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: to the announces. This is hard to tell you how
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: hard this dunk was. Broer, Cody Seller, offensive rebound, Broches,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Oh my god, I gotta pull something. Bridges, Oh my gosh,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: this one. I'm telling you man. It looked like he
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: wasn't even gonna make it. He was coming down, but
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: we forgot his arms, his eight feet and it went
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: right back off over Clint head. If you are listening
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: in Atlanta this morning, somebody to check on Clint coppella
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: feelings because they in the hospital. I saw, like, no,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: you know what happens to Jay when you get dunk
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: onto the game When the person that gets dunked on
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: try to act like it didn't happen, like yeah, they
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: try to look serious, trying to find somebody pass the
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: ball back to. When they get the games go no,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: that was you, junior. Junior, you know you got dumped
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: on real bad. When your teammates go damn, damn, you
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: know you'll be trying to call time. They don't want
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: to call time. Who bitch? Bitch clear about right the
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: whole You know, man, you can't go back in the
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: locker room if you got a doll like that, expect
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: anybody to talk to you. There's no talking. Yeah, I
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: just saw It's like you got a disease or something. Man,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: if your companion, then you know what I'm talking about.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: When the comedian has a bad set, nobody talks to
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: him because you don't want to catch it. It's the
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: same du Yeah, you don't want that to get on you, right, right,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: do you have a bad set? The comedian has a
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: bad set, he goes outside in the back end. Go yeah,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: go outside in the back, And that's what he should
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: have done, went outside in the back. I don't know,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: you know, you know, I don't know basketball that much,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: but is there any way you can leave the game
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and something like that happens to you when you should
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: just be able to quit for that night? I didn't.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I'm not playing no more because clearly, and he's most
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: of a better defender than that man. But you know,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: you get called. Everybody got dunked on before the league.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: It's just just that when we see it, we're like, oh,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: you you that good. You're supposed to not let this happen.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: I mean you are in the NBA. I mean I
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: can see that happen on the blacktop or something. But
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: this is the league man. Yeah, did announce again this
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Cody Seller offensive rebound breches. Oh my god. Only good
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: thing about it, Shirley. Only good thing about it is
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: the Hawks did win. So that's don't go away, Junior,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: the window. Let that dunt go away. Now, I'm listening,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: all right, Junior. Thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Here we are again asking this question
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: one more time. What's going on? We talked about this
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: earlier when a young man, Dante Wright, was shot up
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: in Minneapolis by a female officer who claimed she thought
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: she had a taser. She was firing off her taser,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: but instead it was her gun and she killed him. Now,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: one of the police officers accused of using excessive force
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: in a Virginia traffic stop has been fired following an investigation.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: The town manager said this late on Sunday. The Windsor,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Virginia officers pointed guns at pepper, sprayed, and pushed a
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: black US Army officer to the ground during the traffic
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: stop last December. During the stop. The police officers believe
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: the army officer was missing a license plate on his
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: new SUV. Second Lieutenant Kroon Nazario, who is black and Latino,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: is suing over the incident, claiming the two officers violated
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: his rights guaranteed under the First and the Fourth Amendment.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: One of the officers, Joe Gautierrez, has been fired. Town
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: manager William Sanders, confirmed to CNN late Sunday evening. The
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: other officer, Daniel Crocker, is still employed by the police department. Yeah,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: what's going on here? Did y'all see that video? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: it's hard everywhere. Yeah. He was just simply asking them,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: what what is it? What I done? What did I do?
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: You see my hands? What's going on? He's pleading with
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: them to take another avenue in terms of getting me
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: out of the car. Could you just calm down? Yeah?
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: What you say? You know why the elevated in their
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: attitude whenever they stopped a black man. It's like, damn
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you get stopped. This might be your last damn day.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: And every black man knows us. Everyone knows it. And
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: he told them he was scared. He say, I'm scared
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, but let me ask you guys something
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: as black man, and you know, and what are you
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: gonna say, Carla, I was gonna say, he pulled over
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: to a little lighted Yeah, yeah he did on purpose.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Thank god he did that. Yeah, yes, because he was afraid.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: He started recording his phone because he was afraid, and
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: he is a veteran, and he said, I true country. Yeah,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: and it is like elevated once they said, you know
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: once they said once he said that to the officer,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: it's like it elevated, you know, they took it a
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: notch higher, right, Yeah, like that officer, relax, Can you
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: just relax? Relax? What is all this escalation about? What
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: is all this about? I'm just asking you, why did
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: you stop me? What's going on? You know? Let's see
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: the officer could have answered that. My opinion is that
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: until police offers are going to be held accountable for
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: the mistakes that they make instead of the city having
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: to pay all this money out, until the police unions
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: don't have to go in their budget and start paying
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: their money out, they will have a different attitude. But
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: until that changes. First of all, these cops know a
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: lot of them and we're not saying all cops are bad.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: But we're seeing too many damn bad ones. We see
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: too many damn bad ones, we really are. And where
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: are yeah, and where are the good ones that come out,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: you know and speak? Where are they talk about this
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: bad behavior, you know within the clue? Where are they?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: But I would say this so surely too that during
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the George Floyd trial, we did, Yeah, they did. And
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: they all the officers that have testified, even the police chief,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: saying excessive force and right and we need more of that.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: And one of the reasons they say that is because
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: it was caught on film. You know, Yeah, it was
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: caught on film. So of course they have to say
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: that this man killed him before our very eyes, you know.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: But um, yes, it's sad. But I did want to
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: ask you guys as black men. I mean, there's no
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: right thing to do, of course, yeah, but you know,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: for this to continually be going on, it's like we
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: can't even grieve George Floyd properly before here we are
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: with another one and another one. You know, it's like
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: nobody cares. They don't see us as human. They just don't.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: They don't. We can't be scared, you know, to get
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: out of the car when we see the police. It's
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: sad that it's become the norm, right, Yeah, all right,
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: we're gonna move on. Um, we'll have more of the
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to show. Still just so
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: very frustrated about what's going on in this country, in
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Minneapolis and in Virginia. You know, we're it's like we're
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: living in this crazy cycle, right of killing, protesting trials,
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: killing testing trials, you know, killing, protesting trial, gun violence,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: gunn all of it's the same thing. But we I
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: think there needs to be a change. There has to
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: be a change in policing. There's an issue with police
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: policing that you feel in this moment every single time,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: every time, every time, that you were killing people right
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: there on the spot. Yeah, it's not it's not we
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: chasing a killer. It's not somebody who robbed a bank
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: or somebody who beat up somebody. It's a simple traffic stop.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Did you end up dead? Right? So tell me, why
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: wouldn't these young men be afraid to get out of
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: their cars? Right? Why wouldn't they you know, want to
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: know what's going on? Before they open that door, because
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: at any moment, some trigger happy cop that doesn't have
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: to face any consequences for what he's done could kill

- 1:17:22Speaker 1: looking for a woman that would accept his children and
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: be a good stepmom. He also said he was dating
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: to get married, so if I wasn't serious, I needed
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: to let him know. We've been together for nine months
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: and when he has his kids at home, he expects
