- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them just like theming bu bu things. And it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: not good. Steve Hart to mother Joy. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn hur You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn out to turn turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, huh, I sure will, I
- 2:04Speaker 1: come on and everybody you are listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:11Speaker 1: got a radio show. Well, okay, here we go. You
- 2:18Speaker 1: know what's important, what's what can be a huge part
- 2:22Speaker 1: of your success is if you if you find a balance,
- 2:28Speaker 1: if you find a balance in your life. That's that's
- 2:33Speaker 1: been very important for me. And I've really never phrased
- 2:36Speaker 1: it this way until now, but I was kind of
- 2:39Speaker 1: thinking about it after my wife and I mean, we
- 2:42Speaker 1: set up one night recently. Man. You know, I often
- 2:45Speaker 1: come on here and this is kind of an inspirational
- 2:48Speaker 1: moment of the show, and I try to remind people
- 2:51Speaker 1: about that most important relationship between you and God. And
- 2:55Speaker 1: that's that's the apex of it. That's that's the that's
- 2:58Speaker 1: the top of the crime. You gotta form the relationship
- 3:02Speaker 1: with God. If you don't, everything else struggles. It's hard
- 3:05Speaker 1: to be a good husband without God. It's hard to
- 3:07Speaker 1: be a good family man without God. It's hard to
- 3:10Speaker 1: be successful without God. Man, it's hard to be hard
- 3:13Speaker 1: to get through this thing called life without God. So
- 3:16Speaker 1: that's clear. But at the same time, you can't talk
- 3:21Speaker 1: about God twenty four seven. You got to go to work.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Come on, man, let's just be real. I ain't I
- 3:26Speaker 1: ain't your past, and I ain't at your church. But
- 3:29Speaker 1: let's just be real about it. You know, if people
- 3:32Speaker 1: tell you got to keep your mind stayed on Him
- 3:34Speaker 1: and all like that, that's that's a true statement. You
- 3:37Speaker 1: gotta keep your mind stayed in that area. I don't
- 3:39Speaker 1: not here to tell you how to live, but you
- 3:40Speaker 1: got to keep your mind stayed in that area of God,
- 3:43Speaker 1: of doing the right thing, caring about people. That's what
- 3:45Speaker 1: I took it as. Now I could be wrong. I
- 3:47Speaker 1: apologize if I'm not saying that the way you've been taught.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I can only do me now. But after that, you
- 3:54Speaker 1: got to go to work. You gotta have some fun.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You gotta take care of your business, and that's the
- 4:01Speaker 1: balance you have to find so it once you focus
- 4:06Speaker 1: on shooing up your relationship with God, you got you
- 4:09Speaker 1: gotta balance this now. Now you got to allocate some
- 4:15Speaker 1: time I don't care who you are, for your family.
- 4:18Speaker 1: If you're gonna have a family, you got to allocate
- 4:21Speaker 1: some time for them. See, we can't just marry these
- 4:24Speaker 1: women or make these kids and then neglect them and fellas,
- 4:29Speaker 1: especially if I'm talking to me about him, Ladies, you
- 4:31Speaker 1: can listen to but listen. If you find yourself struggling
- 4:35Speaker 1: in your life, man, and you can't seem to get
- 4:37Speaker 1: it together, let's just go over a couple of things.
- 4:40Speaker 1: The first two things, if you find yourself struggling, you
- 4:43Speaker 1: can't seem to pull it together and reach your goals
- 4:45Speaker 1: and get to where you want to go, Let's just
- 4:48Speaker 1: do a check how is your relationship with God? And
- 4:54Speaker 1: then next how much time are you taking to allocate
- 4:58Speaker 1: for your family? Now, your family don't always live in
- 5:02Speaker 1: your house, but if you made them, they yours and
- 5:06Speaker 1: the responsibility to them is never lessing because you don't
- 5:10Speaker 1: stay that no more. Because you and the girl broke up,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you and the woman don't speak a man that don't
- 5:16Speaker 1: ever release you from the obligation. Feel me when I'm
- 5:19Speaker 1: telling you this now, because I'm not telling you something
- 5:23Speaker 1: I'm wondering about. I've had to live through them years.
- 5:27Speaker 1: So two things you can start looking at. If you're
- 5:29Speaker 1: not where you want to be, and you ain't, you
- 5:31Speaker 1: ain't really solid. You can't figure out why you keep
- 5:33Speaker 1: spending your wills. Have you just done a random inventory, man?
- 5:37Speaker 1: Have you just checked on your relationship with God? Have
- 5:39Speaker 1: you checked on the time you spending dedicated towards your family,
- 5:43Speaker 1: your children that you've created. If them two things is
- 5:46Speaker 1: out of saint man, that I can tell you right now,
- 5:49Speaker 1: you can go on and get to explain in yourself
- 5:51Speaker 1: away just like that. A man, how come you ain't
- 5:55Speaker 1: where you want to be? I'm couz man, I really ain't. Well,
- 5:58Speaker 1: if you really ain't, then you really ain't. The third
- 6:01Speaker 1: thing is you got to allocate the necessary time for
- 6:05Speaker 1: your business. You got to handle your business. All of this, man,
- 6:12Speaker 1: is the way it works, and the order the order
- 6:17Speaker 1: is God first, family second. Then you got to handle
- 6:24Speaker 1: all your business. But as me and this is what
- 6:27Speaker 1: we do. If I don't handle my business, I can't
- 6:30Speaker 1: take care of my family. True statement. But if your
- 6:34Speaker 1: business is in front of your family, you out of order. Nah.
- 6:38Speaker 1: That's all we're talking about now, ain't it. See that's
- 6:40Speaker 1: that's all we really saying here now, fellas you know,
- 6:43Speaker 1: you know, I mean, I mean, come on, man, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 1: let's let's have a real conversation about being better. You know,
- 6:49Speaker 1: if you have created these children, you got to handle
- 6:51Speaker 1: your business. You may not like the girl no more.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You and the woman might have broken up, y'all might
- 6:56Speaker 1: go your own way, But what that got to do
- 6:58Speaker 1: with the child though? Man out to handle your business.
- 7:01Speaker 1: They got to know who daddy is. That's your obligation, man,
- 7:04Speaker 1: And God ain't letting you off the hook for that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Try go ahead and try it, and thank you. Gonna
- 7:09Speaker 1: get off the hook with that, because you're not man,
- 7:12Speaker 1: You just not. I'm sorry, man, dog Steve, Why are
- 7:17Speaker 1: you coming like that? Because I did it like that.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I did it, man. I was over here trying to
- 7:23Speaker 1: reshape my life, getting myself up on my feet when
- 7:25Speaker 1: I was a homeless man and trying to come back. Man,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I thought I had to take care of me first
- 7:30Speaker 1: and then so I can neglect it careing about them kids. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 1: That ain't high work, man, God kelpers knee on my
- 7:36Speaker 1: neck for a long time for that one right there,
- 7:38Speaker 1: until I finally learned the lesson hold up, man, put
- 7:42Speaker 1: these phone calls in, Go spend some time, do something,
- 7:46Speaker 1: And then it started turning around for me. You know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I can't beat there all the time because I am
- 7:51Speaker 1: out here on the ground in the hustle. But at
- 7:53Speaker 1: the same time, Man, some more phone calls, some more letters, somemohaha,
- 7:57Speaker 1: he he's something, Then take care of your business. Man.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You got to work hard to be successful. Now, sometimes
- 8:07Speaker 1: I don't put that in there. I just live in
- 8:08Speaker 1: and I expect my sons to emulate that. But I
- 8:11Speaker 1: gotta talk to him all the time. How hard you
- 8:13Speaker 1: got to work to be something. It's all out of
- 8:17Speaker 1: salt on it. Man. If you gotta target in mind,
- 8:19Speaker 1: you gotta go. You gotta wake up every day trying
- 8:22Speaker 1: to get there. And you can't get tired of it
- 8:26Speaker 1: because it's it's it never ends. You're gonna always be
- 8:30Speaker 1: this way. That's how life is designed and set up.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You got to be a hard worker, man. If you're
- 8:36Speaker 1: always looking for some time to chill and man, I
- 8:39Speaker 1: wanta go do what I want to do, you ain't
- 8:41Speaker 1: gonna make it. In order to be successful, you have
- 8:44Speaker 1: to do a series of things that you're uncomfortable doing,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and work is the thing that most of us are
- 8:50Speaker 1: uncomfortable doing. It's so much easier to chill, man. I
- 8:54Speaker 1: wish I could kick back with a cigar man all
- 8:57Speaker 1: the time, but I can't, Man, I can't because I
- 9:04Speaker 1: got to work. Then the last piece of the balance
- 9:10Speaker 1: balance piece is you gotta take some time out to
- 9:13Speaker 1: enjoy yourself. But if you ain't where you want to be,
- 9:17Speaker 1: you ain't got a lot of time to enjoy yourself.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Quit thinking, man, that this balance is even. It's a
- 9:24Speaker 1: whole lot of God, a whole lot of family, a
- 9:28Speaker 1: whole lot of business, and a little bit of chilling.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The chilling can't be equal to the family, the business,
- 9:35Speaker 1: or your God. If the chilling is equal to any
- 9:38Speaker 1: of them, you ain't gonna make it. Quit chilling, man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and go to work like a man. Do what you
- 9:44Speaker 1: post to do. Work on your family, work on your relationship,
- 9:48Speaker 1: work on your God, work on your business. And then
- 9:50Speaker 1: when you chill, you might not chill is long, but
- 9:53Speaker 1: your show gonna chill bigger. You're gonna ball bigger. Baby,
- 9:56Speaker 1: you're listening, Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve Harvey
- 10:04Speaker 1: Morning Show. This is it. I don't know why I'm
- 10:06Speaker 1: on one this week, but I am here. I go.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I can turn a gray sky, blue, king, nigger rain
- 10:17Speaker 1: whatever I wanted to. I can't build a castle found
- 10:22Speaker 1: my single great of sing. I can make a ship
- 10:25Speaker 1: sail on dry land, but my life isn't complete and
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm so blue because I can't get next. Can't get
- 10:37Speaker 1: next to you, girl, can't get next to you. Ah
- 10:41Speaker 1: can fly like a bird in the sky. I can
- 10:46Speaker 1: buy anything, but money can buy. Or I can build
- 10:51Speaker 1: a river into great big fire, fucking little for elbow.
- 10:57Speaker 1: If I so desire, I just felt like it. Why
- 11:01Speaker 1: was I doing the booze? Right morning? Shirley Hey, good morning,
- 11:07Speaker 1: Good morning, Dennis Oldis, David, Eddie, Melvin call a favorite group,
- 11:14Speaker 1: call it for l mighty mighty temptations. Baby, you was
- 11:18Speaker 1: hitting Eddie though you was hitting caring that false settle,
- 11:21Speaker 1: y'all don't know how. I don't know where that came from,
- 11:23Speaker 1: because that can go years ago, man, When I was
- 11:27Speaker 1: about fifteen sixteen, Oh, I had a falsetto my brother
- 11:31Speaker 1: actually thought I was gonna be a singer. Wow. Man.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Then it fell off real fans after that, and then
- 11:38Speaker 1: that's when he went to the hard note. He said, boy,
- 11:42Speaker 1: you might be a singer. I was just that one
- 11:46Speaker 1: good day I had Junior morning morning, everybody, Nephew, Timmy,
- 11:53Speaker 1: what did dude? Man? What did dud dude? Hey? And
- 12:00Speaker 1: make the seasons change? Just by the way from my hand, Oh,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I can change anything from all to things I want
- 12:12Speaker 1: to do. The most I'm unable to do, but I'm happy,
- 12:16Speaker 1: am I with all the powers? I posted his ass
- 12:20Speaker 1: because girl, you're the key to my happiness. And oh
- 12:30Speaker 1: I oh that's like that was on Apolo that he
- 12:35Speaker 1: was doing a temptation. When you follow up that one
- 12:41Speaker 1: all by himself. They just gave him. They just let
- 12:48Speaker 1: him go because his effort. He had an apolo effort, man,
- 12:53Speaker 1: because he couldn't really say what he had such an
- 12:57Speaker 1: apolo effort. Yeah, yeah, you know people, we love the temptations.
- 13:02Speaker 1: So they gave me. Come on boy, you know, and yeah,
- 13:07Speaker 1: let him. I was concerned with him over there. I
- 13:10Speaker 1: have seen him boo your clothes off, nudity. He missed
- 13:19Speaker 1: miss Floyd Mayweather and Nate Robinson. Floyd said he appreciated
- 13:23Speaker 1: Nate's effort. He said he gonna train him now to
- 13:26Speaker 1: see why. N No, no, Floyd, Nate, we gotta go
- 13:34Speaker 1: stay out of this. Coming up at thirty two after
- 13:39Speaker 1: the hour, asked the CLLO. Right after this, you're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: string show. Right before we get to the CLLO and Steve,
- 13:49Speaker 1: you have an announcement and I have to tell him,
- 13:51Speaker 1: don't forget our forever President's coming up. We got to
- 13:55Speaker 1: talk about that too, Barack Obama. No, let me just
- 13:58Speaker 1: say something would be almost as important as Barack Obungle
- 14:02Speaker 1: coming on. What's really what? Floyd Mayweather than said he
- 14:07Speaker 1: willing to train Nate Robinson. Floyd, don't waste show damn time.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Get one of your kids trained, one of your kids
- 14:17Speaker 1: with Mayweather blood anymore something. Do not waste your time
- 14:22Speaker 1: trying to teach Nate Robinson how to fight? Then, ain't
- 14:26Speaker 1: what Nate do's can help him? No? Oh he can
- 14:31Speaker 1: make him better. Oh, he'll be better than he was.
- 14:35Speaker 1: But that ain't gonna be worth a day. This is
- 14:39Speaker 1: not what n Oh, no, no, no, no, no, he
- 14:43Speaker 1: has no clue what that is wrong? Shoes. He ain't
- 14:46Speaker 1: got no jaw, he can't take a shot, he can't
- 14:49Speaker 1: throw a straight jab. He he never had his assho before.
- 14:53Speaker 1: And the one ass whipping he got was final and
- 14:58Speaker 1: in front of the world. You got knocked out with
- 15:01Speaker 1: a boxing glove. Own if but do hit you with
- 15:03Speaker 1: his bad knuckle even to crack. You're here. We'll go ahead,
- 15:07Speaker 1: let's play all right, Yeah, this is your favorite segment,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and don't forget. At the top of the hour, our
- 15:14Speaker 1: forever President Barack Obama will be on with Steve to
- 15:17Speaker 1: talk about his brand new book, A Promise Lane, Right,
- 15:19Speaker 1: Steve Clo, Yes, I'm excited. This one is from Corey
- 15:24Speaker 1: in Mississippi. You're ready, right, let's do it. I've been
- 15:28Speaker 1: married for sixteen years. My wife and I own a
- 15:31Speaker 1: liquor store and a nail salon, and there's a small
- 15:34Speaker 1: space in the back of the nail salon that we
- 15:37Speaker 1: haven't decided what to do with. My wife went behind
- 15:40Speaker 1: my back and had a contractor look at the space,
- 15:43Speaker 1: and when I found out, she told me that she's
- 15:45Speaker 1: opening a last studio in that space. We're equal partners
- 15:50Speaker 1: in other businesses, but she never does any work at
- 15:54Speaker 1: either one of them. So now she's trying to make
- 15:56Speaker 1: her own money without me. This doesn't sit right with me,
- 16:00Speaker 1: and I told her i'd take her to court over it.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Am I right or wrong? You gotta taking the court over.
- 16:05Speaker 1: All you gotta do is get get. All you gotta
- 16:07Speaker 1: do is walk up to the contractor. You ain't getting paid, dog,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I don't understand, no, no, listen to eat, nobody if
- 16:20Speaker 1: to pay you. So see, so I don't think it's
- 16:26Speaker 1: a court issue. I do know how y'all going to court,
- 16:29Speaker 1: and I don't know but the lashes and nails. I
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't know how y'all's business is doing, if it's working well.
- 16:35Speaker 1: But I bet it ain't topping that liquor stoe though
- 16:38Speaker 1: not in the sip. Liquor STOs is big in Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, Chattanooga.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Why don't y'all expand the liquor stoe? They do a bar?
- 16:52Speaker 1: That's b wild, b he's pretty bitter though talking about court,
- 16:58Speaker 1: You're right, yeah, you ain't got through that. Yeah, okay.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Ch Andrea and Memphis says, I'm a thirty four year
- 17:03Speaker 1: old female and I was dating a sixty year old
- 17:06Speaker 1: married man sixty year old married man. His wife found
- 17:09Speaker 1: out and called me and asked me to meet with her.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I felt so bad that I agreed to talk to
- 17:14Speaker 1: her face to face. I was shocked at how beautiful
- 17:18Speaker 1: and put together she is. She said her husband cheats
- 17:21Speaker 1: all the time, and she loves him so much that
- 17:23Speaker 1: she would never leave him. She offered me fifteen hundred
- 17:27Speaker 1: dollars if i'd leave him alone. I genuinely liked her,
- 17:30Speaker 1: so I promised her I was not going to see
- 17:32Speaker 1: him anymore, and I told her to keep her money.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I'm trying to keep my promise to her, but her
- 17:37Speaker 1: husband won't leave me alone. Should I tell him? I
- 17:40Speaker 1: met his wife and told her everything. Get the money, though,
- 17:44Speaker 1: Why leave me whole fifteen first thing? Yeah? Well, I
- 18:00Speaker 1: don't you know. I think it was a smart, cool
- 18:02Speaker 1: thing if you not to take her money. Uh, you know,
- 18:06Speaker 1: but I think you should just leave a guy alone,
- 18:08Speaker 1: just say, hey, look, I met with your wife. I
- 18:10Speaker 1: really respect her. I felt bad about what I'm doing,
- 18:13Speaker 1: and uh, she told me about how you are and
- 18:16Speaker 1: you seeing other people, so go see them other people.
- 18:19Speaker 1: But she loves you so much she ain't gonna leave you.
- 18:21Speaker 1: So But I'm not gonna be a part of this
- 18:24Speaker 1: anymore because there's a righteous side of me, and I
- 18:27Speaker 1: respect the lady, and she was beautiful and I felt bad,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and so I'm out. That's all you got to do.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You don't have to continue to see him. You do
- 18:35Speaker 1: know that, don't you. All Right, she's thirty four, he's
- 18:39Speaker 1: sixty wild. Oh, I know what he's doing now. I
- 18:42Speaker 1: know what he's doing. What's saying? I mean, I'm sixty three.
- 18:45Speaker 1: You know he could he got he got you know
- 18:47Speaker 1: there's something happening in that. You know, he got some moves.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Oh oh girl, oh oh he went off. Ohio players on.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Oh heaven must be like this somewhere to rest my
- 19:09Speaker 1: aching mind, all right? May and Richmond Virginia says, I've
- 19:15Speaker 1: been married for four years and I found out that
- 19:17Speaker 1: my husband pleasures himself when I'm not home. When we
- 19:22Speaker 1: got our new alarm system, a tiny stationary camera came
- 19:25Speaker 1: with it. We put the camera in the den on
- 19:28Speaker 1: a bookshelf, and we log in to see what's going
- 19:30Speaker 1: on at home when we're away. Well, yesterday I was
- 19:33Speaker 1: at work and remember to check the camera. I couldn't
- 19:36Speaker 1: believe what I saw. My husband was on the couch
- 19:41Speaker 1: naked and pleasuring himself. He damn show did he must
- 19:47Speaker 1: have forgotten that the camera was there? Is it weird
- 19:51Speaker 1: if I tell him what I saw? Should keep it
- 19:54Speaker 1: to myself and move the camera? Well, I mean you
- 19:59Speaker 1: put the m in there for what I mean? You
- 20:03Speaker 1: know he was in that naked you know, I mean,
- 20:07Speaker 1: I know, I ain't forgot about no damn camera. Maybe
- 20:10Speaker 1: he was making a movie. Maybe he wanted to know
- 20:14Speaker 1: you know, maybe he said, I hope she tuned in
- 20:16Speaker 1: watching in him. I mean, you know, it might be
- 20:21Speaker 1: something spicy for your relationship. The good thing is you
- 20:24Speaker 1: know what nobody else was buying, you know, by yourself.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You know, probably was thinking about you. You know, a
- 20:31Speaker 1: couple of things has to happen, you know, to be
- 20:33Speaker 1: able to put that together. Would be scared to to, oh, yeah,
- 20:38Speaker 1: know that your husband, I saw you. What was you
- 20:42Speaker 1: doing in there? What was you thinking about? All right?
- 20:45Speaker 1: Thank you the nephew. Nephew telling me would run that
- 20:50Speaker 1: prank back right after this, You're listening morning show coming
- 20:56Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, President of Obama
- 21:00Speaker 1: yea the special guests. He's gonna talk about his new memoir.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I have it. It's called a Promised Land. He's gonna
- 21:07Speaker 1: talk about the election and more. We cannot wait our
- 21:10Speaker 1: forever President Barack Obama at the top of the hour.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But right now, time to have a little fun with
- 21:16Speaker 1: the nephew, and today's run that prank back. What you
- 21:20Speaker 1: got for his nephew? Christmas decari, sans Christmas decarians, let's go. Okay, look,
- 21:27Speaker 1: I'm trying to read cecil. Yeah this cecil. What's going on? Hey?
- 21:31Speaker 1: This manny man? I live like about four five streets
- 21:34Speaker 1: over from you, this manning. How you doing, brother, I'm
- 21:37Speaker 1: doing do it? Man? How you doing? I'm good? Hey,
- 21:40Speaker 1: I see you. You You got your Christmas lights up right?
- 21:43Speaker 1: Ye know? Yeah? I got him up. I got my
- 21:44Speaker 1: whole of theme nearything's set up. Man. It just looking
- 21:46Speaker 1: real too. Okay. Let me let me ask you something, man,
- 21:49Speaker 1: the theme you got in your yard? Where you get
- 21:51Speaker 1: that ideal? From? What you mean? Where I get him
- 21:53Speaker 1: from the idea? Like you got the snow Man, you
- 21:56Speaker 1: got Santa claud some reindeals, you got your whole house
- 22:00Speaker 1: are graded. You got Jesus with the manger and the
- 22:03Speaker 1: wise men around him. Where did you get your idea from.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I'm I'm lost what you're talking about. Man, You ask
- 22:10Speaker 1: me where I got a thing from? I mean you
- 22:12Speaker 1: try to imply from them. I'm I'm asking you a question.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Where did you get the idea from? I mean up
- 22:18Speaker 1: Jesus and the man you know that represents Chrystal Man.
- 22:21Speaker 1: You go with a thing that's Chrystmas base man, and
- 22:23Speaker 1: that's that's Chrystmas base. Jesus there, Chrystmas. Hey, what's what's
- 22:26Speaker 1: going on? Man? Who are you when you get my
- 22:29Speaker 1: number from any I'm I'm I'm manning, man, I'm manning.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I got I got your number from one of the
- 22:33Speaker 1: people that live on your street. And I'm just asking
- 22:36Speaker 1: you on the real where you get this idea from?
- 22:40Speaker 1: I made this idea? If I made this up? Man,
- 22:42Speaker 1: I made this up. The second time you ask me
- 22:45Speaker 1: where I get the idea from? What are you trying
- 22:46Speaker 1: to go? The real deal? Dog? The same thing you
- 22:50Speaker 1: got if you come four streets over. I got the
- 22:53Speaker 1: same thing in my yard, and it looked like you
- 22:55Speaker 1: just stole my idea. And see what you ain't gonna
- 22:59Speaker 1: do is try to win Christmas yards of the season.
- 23:02Speaker 1: And you didn't stole my idea. That's the problem I
- 23:05Speaker 1: got with you. Now, the problem you got is like
- 23:07Speaker 1: to twisted. Okay, to see I put this together without here.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I never even heard of you, manny begin with. Secondly,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I've been doing this particular theme in my yards as
- 23:17Speaker 1: I've been standing over. I've been stand over six years.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You ain't had that. You ain't had that theme last year.
- 23:22Speaker 1: You ain't had that. Man, this theme last year and
- 23:24Speaker 1: the year before. And I put my stuff in the
- 23:27Speaker 1: same place every damn time I put it down. You
- 23:29Speaker 1: did not have this last talk about who are you
- 23:31Speaker 1: to call me and tell me about my theme and
- 23:33Speaker 1: about my yard and what you got going. I know
- 23:36Speaker 1: you ain't copying there. Man, I'm gonna tell you right now,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and I ain't gonna go no further. You need to
- 23:40Speaker 1: rearrange your theme and get a different thing, because you
- 23:43Speaker 1: got the same theme I got. No, you need to
- 23:46Speaker 1: rearrange your okay, because I ain't rearranging jack over here.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Hey man, let me tell you that. Man. And I'm
- 23:53Speaker 1: being really as real as I can be with you.
- 23:55Speaker 1: If I got to come over there and unplugged, if
- 23:58Speaker 1: you got to come, if I got to come over
- 24:01Speaker 1: to your house, um plugs some stuff. No, no, no,
- 24:05Speaker 1: see if that thing my foot will be getting a
- 24:07Speaker 1: plug from your First of all, you ain't gonna come
- 24:09Speaker 1: on my street, in my house and just tect me
- 24:11Speaker 1: at all about anything that I got set up in
- 24:14Speaker 1: my y'all, saly ain't. I'll tell you what. Then, I'm
- 24:18Speaker 1: just gonna do this ship. I'm gonna just come over
- 24:20Speaker 1: there and take Jesus and take them and take them
- 24:23Speaker 1: wise men at your yard. That's what I'm gonna do.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Come over this way calling aboudy, messing with Jesus in
- 24:28Speaker 1: the major. It's gonna be some real power. Because football
- 24:31Speaker 1: that's fake signal it that's that's the center other things. Now,
- 24:34Speaker 1: if you want to come over here and you want
- 24:35Speaker 1: to kind of do something like that, you're gonna need
- 24:37Speaker 1: Jesus to help you because it's gonna be some rolling
- 24:39Speaker 1: around going on like yoll. What's the bottom line is
- 24:43Speaker 1: just right here, you got the nerve to do the
- 24:45Speaker 1: same thing. My god, I'm full street sober. I'm driving
- 24:49Speaker 1: through looking at everybody's over here, man, looking at everybody's
- 24:53Speaker 1: the only one and same way the same place. Do
- 24:57Speaker 1: the doct lone yere and nobody. Elver called told me
- 25:00Speaker 1: your stuff look like man, and from four five six,
- 25:02Speaker 1: I go to hand this man in any Wait, Man,
- 25:05Speaker 1: it ain't got no right coming on my street because
- 25:07Speaker 1: you don't stay on this street. You're going around looking
- 25:09Speaker 1: at people trying to get your ideas. Man, you're not
- 25:12Speaker 1: a rich No, No, I'm very original, ilone. You've been
- 25:15Speaker 1: living over here. I've been living over here six years.
- 25:17Speaker 1: This suff the vision was just coming up when I
- 25:19Speaker 1: came over here. How are you gonna tell me you've
- 25:21Speaker 1: been running your team long and not been running mine?
- 25:23Speaker 1: Who you crazy? Hey? Man? And it ain't. I ain't
- 25:25Speaker 1: got time to go back. Man, you know what, I
- 25:26Speaker 1: got better things? So I still got some old lights
- 25:28Speaker 1: put up. Hey, I gotta want to class and go
- 25:30Speaker 1: back and forth. What I'm gonna tell you just right here,
- 25:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna come take Jesus off your yard. I'm gonna
- 25:35Speaker 1: take Jesus and the one to take Jesus out my yard.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I see now you're sounding like when I'm crazy people
- 25:39Speaker 1: come about thinking Jesus out of my life. That's where
- 25:41Speaker 1: you got life and mess up. Come on over. I
- 25:44Speaker 1: got something man, and that's what you look here don't
- 25:46Speaker 1: turn your lights on. Light's gonna be on the nighte
- 25:48Speaker 1: tomorrow night and every other night more if you want to.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I got something. You have stole my ideal and we're
- 25:54Speaker 1: talking about this skilling ideas. Come on around here and
- 25:57Speaker 1: lets hey dog dog, let me tell you something right now,
- 26:00Speaker 1: Jesus and then wise men is coming. I chow y'ad today. No,
- 26:06Speaker 1: you know what, man, I'm through with you. Man, I'm
- 26:07Speaker 1: through with you. You know what. Come over here if
- 26:09Speaker 1: you want to touch my baby, Jesus, touch my manjer
- 26:12Speaker 1: touch Mevin Joseph and the wise Man, and I'm gonna
- 26:14Speaker 1: put the North Star over your literally. Hey man, I
- 26:17Speaker 1: don't know where you get my number from a night?
- 26:19Speaker 1: Who are you anyway? Who is it? Who are you? Man?
- 26:21Speaker 1: I tell you what you tell about? Coming over here?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Miss with anything is on top? Okay, set to go
- 26:26Speaker 1: off every evening at du who's the start getting dark?
- 26:29Speaker 1: My going on? Let money, I come on the nights
- 26:32Speaker 1: cook for you anyway? Why why are you Why you
- 26:35Speaker 1: can't come up with your own team? Man? Why you
- 26:37Speaker 1: can't my own thing? Look at it? I tell you what, man?
- 26:40Speaker 1: Who are you anyway? We're just squatch it right how
- 26:43Speaker 1: you say four five three over? What kind of color
- 26:45Speaker 1: you got your rye? Where I come fire you little
- 26:47Speaker 1: come deal with you right now where you are, right now,
- 26:50Speaker 1: where you you know what? Don't worry about where I'm at.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm I'm a beauty on your life about moment. Literally
- 26:56Speaker 1: now I'm gonna come fine. No, your life ain't coming
- 26:58Speaker 1: on tonight. Never not come on the night. There's gonna
- 27:01Speaker 1: be some poles in your life. It's gonna be on
- 27:03Speaker 1: the brief and you i'nna let you know this? Man,
- 27:05Speaker 1: hey Mann? Who for you anyway? Man? You don't caused
- 27:09Speaker 1: me out of the blue telling me that you're gonna
- 27:11Speaker 1: come disconnect my life and still my major and take
- 27:14Speaker 1: my baby Jesus out the man? Who are you should
- 27:16Speaker 1: up feel accusing me of feeling your things when it's
- 27:19Speaker 1: been my theme or all these years six years I've
- 27:22Speaker 1: been doing this night of war best yard three years
- 27:24Speaker 1: or three years running in this season. Now I think
- 27:27Speaker 1: you're trying to get mine. But but see the problem
- 27:29Speaker 1: is you don't want the best yards because you're still
- 27:32Speaker 1: in my idea. How can I be sitting your man? Man?
- 27:35Speaker 1: You know what you and your and I'm ready to
- 27:37Speaker 1: deal with your right. Hey, dog, dog, I'm not gonna
- 27:41Speaker 1: go back and forth with you. You stole my Jesus theme.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Dog on, wait a minute, how can I have one
- 27:47Speaker 1: best yard three years running and you're saying I got
- 27:50Speaker 1: to think and you you should have been getting you
- 27:52Speaker 1: must not be doing your right. Let me let me,
- 27:54Speaker 1: let me, let me go on on say this to
- 27:55Speaker 1: you right now. Dogs, what Larry on your streets told
- 27:59Speaker 1: me to call you lads later gave you my number.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Larry and Tommy told me to call you every Timmy
- 28:06Speaker 1: told you to call me. Do you know who Tommy is?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Nothing that ain't there, ain't never missing, ain't Tommy? To me?
- 28:12Speaker 1: Who I'm Tommy. I'm Nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey
- 28:16Speaker 1: Morning Show. You just got planked by your boy, Larry Man.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy. You want the morning show exact Larry told
- 28:28Speaker 1: me to call you. It's a you win every single
- 28:31Speaker 1: year the Christmas but it's kind of funny. Not Oh yeah,
- 28:38Speaker 1: let me ask you something. What's the baddest radio show
- 28:41Speaker 1: in the lane? Oh man hands, I don't know, stout
- 28:46Speaker 1: show with Nephew all right, thinking, ah, you coming up
- 28:56Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, President Obama. Right after this,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you're listening. Everybody asked promise our distinguished guests this morning.
- 29:09Speaker 1: It's a forty fourth president of the United States. He
- 29:11Speaker 1: served from two thousand and nine to two thousand and seventeen.
- 29:15Speaker 1: But I got news for you. Don't really need an introduction.
- 29:18Speaker 1: These families been on the show before. I guess we've
- 29:21Speaker 1: often all wondered what has President Obama been doing since
- 29:26Speaker 1: he left the White House. And of course, besides campaigning
- 29:29Speaker 1: for the Biden Harris team, he's been writing a memoir
- 29:33Speaker 1: and the book is titled A Promise Land. The first
- 29:36Speaker 1: volume of the memoir is currently, without a doubt, the
- 29:40Speaker 1: number one best selling book in the nation. So let's
- 29:43Speaker 1: get to it, ladies and gentlemen. He's here today. Please
- 29:46Speaker 1: welcome to the show, our president, President Barack Obama. How
- 29:50Speaker 1: are you doing, man? How are you doing, sir? You're good.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I hope you had a good thank for man. I
- 29:56Speaker 1: ate I ate everything that I ate stuff. I had
- 29:59Speaker 1: no big This is eating, well you know that that
- 30:01Speaker 1: that's what you do on Thanksgiving. We had uh, we
- 30:06Speaker 1: had four pies and and I somehow it felt the
- 30:11Speaker 1: blind to taste every one of them, and uh, then
- 30:15Speaker 1: had a little trouble sleeping funny how that works? Oh
- 30:21Speaker 1: oh you did oh you did that to yourself. Man,
- 30:25Speaker 1: you know, but hey, if you can't do it, all
- 30:28Speaker 1: things given, when you're gonna do it? No for real,
- 30:31Speaker 1: A look, I waited all year for that. Hey, listen,
- 30:34Speaker 1: look before I get started. Man, we miss you. We
- 30:38Speaker 1: didn't know. We didn't know how good we had it.
- 30:43Speaker 1: We just didn't and we boy, we know. Now it's
- 30:48Speaker 1: we'll get into that. But listen, let's let's talk about
- 30:51Speaker 1: A Promised Land. The first volume or your memoir. Uh,
- 30:55Speaker 1: right now, everybody is available in print and audio book. Uh,
- 30:59Speaker 1: and the book The Promised Land covers your historic campaign
- 31:02Speaker 1: in two thousand and eight and all the major events
- 31:05Speaker 1: during your first time as president. Tell us what was
- 31:08Speaker 1: the inspiration for doing a memoir? Now? Well, look, I
- 31:13Speaker 1: started shortly after I left office. Um, and you know,
- 31:20Speaker 1: because I had written two books before, I felt obliged
- 31:24Speaker 1: to write it myself. And and uh, you know, I'm
- 31:27Speaker 1: a slow writer because there was a lot of stuff
- 31:30Speaker 1: to write about. And you know, I always wanted to
- 31:36Speaker 1: tell a story that allowed people to see behind the
- 31:41Speaker 1: curtain on the presidency, to understand not just the policy,
- 31:48Speaker 1: but also the personal to understand you know, how it
- 31:53Speaker 1: had an impact on me and Michelle in terms of
- 31:55Speaker 1: our marriage, how our kids adjusted to it, all the
- 32:00Speaker 1: amazing people you know who helped us behind the scenes. Uh,
- 32:05Speaker 1: and you know who sometimes don't get the credit for
- 32:10Speaker 1: the work that helps to get you know, a healthcare
- 32:14Speaker 1: bill passed or you know, uh, to be able to
- 32:18Speaker 1: get bin laden um and and and you know, hopefully
- 32:24Speaker 1: you know, especially young people who read this who've made
- 32:29Speaker 1: be asking themselves, how can I have an impact? How
- 32:32Speaker 1: can I make a difference? Uh? You know, they don't have, uh,
- 32:36Speaker 1: the ability to kind of read this and get a
- 32:40Speaker 1: little bit of a roadmap about you know, how all
- 32:44Speaker 1: this stuff works. Wow, when did you When did you
- 32:48Speaker 1: first get the notion? I've always wanted this. When when
- 32:51Speaker 1: you first get the notion that you could be president?
- 32:55Speaker 1: You know, look, as I describe, you know, I've started
- 33:01Speaker 1: off in public life as a community organized and I
- 33:06Speaker 1: was a little skeptical about politics, and so was Michelle,
- 33:11Speaker 1: by the way, And it was really sort of an
- 33:17Speaker 1: experiment when I first ran in the state legislature. Let's
- 33:22Speaker 1: see how much of a difference I can make doing this,
- 33:27Speaker 1: and you know, then I ran for the US Senate
- 33:32Speaker 1: and I won the nomination. I think it wasn't until
- 33:37Speaker 1: I spoke at the Democratic National Convention in two thousand
- 33:40Speaker 1: and four. I knew it was a good speech, but
- 33:44Speaker 1: it really blew up. Yeah, and you know that's the speech,
- 33:48Speaker 1: you know, where I talked about the audacity of hope
- 33:50Speaker 1: and you know, I think really bursts on the national
- 33:55Speaker 1: scene and the way it resonated. Yeah, I described in
- 33:59Speaker 1: the book just that kind of sense you have sometimes
- 34:02Speaker 1: when you know you're connecting with an audience, and that
- 34:05Speaker 1: audience was you know, millions of people around the country
- 34:09Speaker 1: who had tuned in. At that point, the chatter starts
- 34:13Speaker 1: picking up, so that even by the time I arrived
- 34:16Speaker 1: at the Senate, I'm a brand new senator, but people
- 34:19Speaker 1: were already talking about, uh, you know, all right, this
- 34:24Speaker 1: is somebody who could potentially run at some point. But
- 34:30Speaker 1: even by even then, I didn't think I was going
- 34:34Speaker 1: to run right away. And I think it was a
- 34:38Speaker 1: combination of timing. I had opposed the war in Iraq,
- 34:42Speaker 1: which you made me somewhat unique among uh, you know,
- 34:50Speaker 1: the major candidates or potential candidates, and that's where the
- 34:54Speaker 1: Democratic Party was moving. Um, you know, so a little
- 34:59Speaker 1: bit a combination of being in the right place at
- 35:05Speaker 1: the right time with the message that resonated with people. Wow. Yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 1: you know, man, I appreciate you saying that because I've
- 35:13Speaker 1: always been curious about that. How that how that notion
- 35:17Speaker 1: can even come about is such a such a big step.
- 35:20Speaker 1: You were talking earlier about how living in the White
- 35:24Speaker 1: House affected your family life in the book. Now, because
- 35:28Speaker 1: you go into this in depth and a promised land,
- 35:31Speaker 1: you talk about uh Michelle and your daughters and how
- 35:34Speaker 1: living in the White House affected him. Okay, mister President,
- 35:38Speaker 1: hold on one second, we'll be right back. Uh sit tight.
- 35:42Speaker 1: We got more with President Barack Obama right after this.
- 35:45Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, We're back, everybody. We're talking with
- 35:51Speaker 1: our president, President Barack Obama. You were talking earlier about
- 35:56Speaker 1: how living in the White House affected your family family
- 36:00Speaker 1: life in the book. Now, because you go into this
- 36:02Speaker 1: in depth and a promised lad, you talk about uh
- 36:05Speaker 1: Michelle and your daughters and how living in the White
- 36:08Speaker 1: House affected him. You even share how you had moments
- 36:12Speaker 1: of self doubt and disappointment. You know, and I'm pretty
- 36:15Speaker 1: sure you're trying to juggle all this in the family.
- 36:18Speaker 1: What what can people pick up from this book through
- 36:21Speaker 1: all of this discussion about the family life in the
- 36:24Speaker 1: White House, I think that if people, uh look at
- 36:28Speaker 1: the stories, it's a reminder number one, Uh, the president
- 36:33Speaker 1: of the first lady or uh you know, in some
- 36:37Speaker 1: future administration, maybe the first gentleman. Right, Kamal Harris is there,
- 36:42Speaker 1: so her husband, he's gonna start a new tradition there. Um. Yeah,
- 36:49Speaker 1: the kids, Uh, in our case, it has been a
- 36:52Speaker 1: while since there were young kids in the White House.
- 36:55Speaker 1: It's still a family with the same family dynamics, right,
- 36:59Speaker 1: and trying to balance work and family life. And you know,
- 37:04Speaker 1: the girls as they were growing up, you know, trying
- 37:06Speaker 1: to figure out, all, right, how can we hang out
- 37:08Speaker 1: with our friends without uh you know, dealing them with
- 37:12Speaker 1: secret service, Uh, you know, looking over our shoulder every
- 37:15Speaker 1: minute and uh you know. So so some of it
- 37:19Speaker 1: is just a reminder that it is a family in
- 37:23Speaker 1: a weird situation, but it's still just a family. Um.
- 37:27Speaker 1: And I think part of what I also try to
- 37:29Speaker 1: reflect in the book is all the amazing people who
- 37:34Speaker 1: behind the scenes are are are helping us do what
- 37:38Speaker 1: we do. You know, I spend some time describing the
- 37:42Speaker 1: butlers in the White House. Um, all of them African
- 37:46Speaker 1: American or Hispanic. Uh, most of them molder. Uh. You know,
- 37:50Speaker 1: they reminded me of Michelle's uncles. Uh, you know, and
- 37:54Speaker 1: and and Malie and Sasha reminded them of their grandkids.
- 37:57Speaker 1: And you know, uh yea many of them arrived at
- 38:03Speaker 1: the White House when it was unimaginable that there would
- 38:06Speaker 1: ever be a black family in the White House. Uh.
- 38:09Speaker 1: And and you know, sort of the love and concern
- 38:12Speaker 1: and care that they showed towards us. Um. You know
- 38:16Speaker 1: that I think is also something we wanted to make
- 38:20Speaker 1: sure what's featured in the book. You know. That's that's
- 38:23Speaker 1: that's really unique because uh, you know, people talk to
- 38:28Speaker 1: me and they talk about you know, we talk about
- 38:30Speaker 1: different problems. They go, man, that's rich boy problems you got.
- 38:33Speaker 1: But when you're the president of the United States, that's
- 38:35Speaker 1: a whole other level. That's not that's that's beyond most
- 38:39Speaker 1: people conversation. All right, Uh, mister President, if you could
- 38:42Speaker 1: hang on just one more time for me, we want
- 38:45Speaker 1: to get the rest of this great interview that we're
- 38:47Speaker 1: talking to it with President Barack Obama. We'll be right
- 38:50Speaker 1: back with more with our man, our friend right after this.
- 38:54Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, We're back again, and I special
- 39:00Speaker 1: guests this morning is our distinguished forty fourth president forty
- 39:04Speaker 1: four forty fifth all that which she still was personal
- 39:09Speaker 1: statement I don't have to make. But we're back to
- 39:11Speaker 1: the interview. You got a family, You got these kids,
- 39:15Speaker 1: and like you said, you're trying to trying to create
- 39:17Speaker 1: a normal existence for them. But how how you you're
- 39:21Speaker 1: the president of the United States daughter. Sometimes people ask
- 39:25Speaker 1: you one of the greatest accomplishment of your presidency. Uh, yeah,
- 39:29Speaker 1: I always say that the fact that we came out
- 39:33Speaker 1: of there and our girls turned out to be kind
- 39:36Speaker 1: and smart and thoughtful and respectful and treat everybody with
- 39:42Speaker 1: your grace and and and love. You know that. Wow,
- 39:47Speaker 1: that's something that we're really really proud of. And you
- 39:50Speaker 1: should be man. You know, I've actually seen it firsthand.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, you know, nothing like home training, even
- 39:56Speaker 1: when the man might have a Yeah, hey, listen, man,
- 40:00Speaker 1: we will the Promised Land. This this book, it addresses
- 40:04Speaker 1: a lot of the challenges that our country has faced
- 40:07Speaker 1: over the last four years. But you talk about this
- 40:10Speaker 1: in your book, and you provide insight on how we
- 40:14Speaker 1: can move forward as a country and restore our faith
- 40:16Speaker 1: in the power of democracy. What give give us, just
- 40:19Speaker 1: briefly some of the stuff that that we can look
- 40:23Speaker 1: for in this book about this country. Well look, uh,
- 40:27Speaker 1: and and Steve, I'm gonna have to run after this.
- 40:29Speaker 1: But the reason I call it the problem a Promised
- 40:33Speaker 1: Land is just like you know, the story acts us,
- 40:37Speaker 1: just like doctor King spoke about before he was shot. Yeah,
- 40:41Speaker 1: we might not get there, but each generation we've got
- 40:45Speaker 1: our struggles to make this a more perfect union, to
- 40:48Speaker 1: make it more free, more just. Uh, you know, we
- 40:51Speaker 1: stand on the shoulders of folks like my dear friend
- 40:55Speaker 1: who departed, John Lewis this here, um? And what I
- 41:00Speaker 1: try to describe in the book is that our politics
- 41:04Speaker 1: in this country are as divided as any time in
- 41:07Speaker 1: my lifetime. But beneath the surface, people still have a
- 41:13Speaker 1: lot in common. Folks still have Pop's dreams. You know,
- 41:16Speaker 1: there's a reason why I won Iowa where it's ninety
- 41:21Speaker 1: eight white. It's because people saw that I was listening
- 41:28Speaker 1: to them and heard them when they describe you know,
- 41:31Speaker 1: they're worries about losing a job or not having healthcare,
- 41:34Speaker 1: or their kids moving away because there weren't any opportunities
- 41:37Speaker 1: in their small town, or or you know, worrying whether
- 41:40Speaker 1: they could retire or not. And those were the same
- 41:42Speaker 1: worries I was hearing in the South side of Chicago,
- 41:46Speaker 1: you know, in a barrio in La and where I
- 41:49Speaker 1: put my faith. And hopefully if people read the book,
- 41:52Speaker 1: they get a sense of this. For all the things
- 41:55Speaker 1: that divide us, we still have a lot in common.
- 41:57Speaker 1: But it's just there's a lot of forces that make
- 42:00Speaker 1: it hard for us to realize those common aspirations. You know,
- 42:05Speaker 1: we've got politicians who's so division instead of trying to
- 42:07Speaker 1: bring people together. We've got a media that knows conflict
- 42:11Speaker 1: sells and so tries to get people angry all the
- 42:13Speaker 1: time instead of give people information. Let's face the legacy
- 42:17Speaker 1: of racism in this country that still can be tapped
- 42:22Speaker 1: in by unscrupulous politicians. And we can't just think, Okay,
- 42:27Speaker 1: we elected Barack or now we elected Joe and Kamala
- 42:31Speaker 1: and they'll fix stuff. Stuff gets fixed because folks are
- 42:34Speaker 1: paying attention. And you know, even if you've got a
- 42:38Speaker 1: good president, that good president still needs voters who are
- 42:41Speaker 1: allies to put pressure on other politicians to make sure
- 42:45Speaker 1: that stuff actually gets done. And it's that idea of activism,
- 42:52Speaker 1: even if you're not a politician, the idea that you
- 42:55Speaker 1: take some responsibility for your community and for future generations.
- 42:59Speaker 1: That's more than anything. What I want to people to
- 43:02Speaker 1: take away from this book after they've reread it, that
- 43:04Speaker 1: you have power, you just have to use it. Wow. Well, sir,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I just want to say, we miss you, man. Please
- 43:10Speaker 1: give Michelle I love we love you, brother. Thank you
- 43:13Speaker 1: for everything you did for this nation. You set a
- 43:16Speaker 1: mark that it just can't be gotten to but we
- 43:18Speaker 1: appreciate everything you did, brother, for real. Thank you so much.
- 43:22Speaker 1: And everybody stay safe. We've got more work to do.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Everybody's got to take this pandemic seriously. I hope everybody
- 43:29Speaker 1: has a safe and joyful holiday. See. Thank you, mister president.
- 43:34Speaker 1: He give Michelle the kids. I love man, and you
- 43:37Speaker 1: stay safe also, brother. Oh wow, great great interview Steve
- 43:41Speaker 1: as Away. Yeah, so good to hear the President Obama,
- 43:46Speaker 1: So good to hear him. Coming up next, nephew telling
- 43:48Speaker 1: me it's prank phone call. Right after this, you're listening
- 43:51Speaker 1: to Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 43:56Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after, it's my strawberry
- 43:59Speaker 1: letter for today's object, And well might have to guess
- 44:03Speaker 1: who this was written by. I pretend to be broke,
- 44:08Speaker 1: but I'm not m one to mind mind always freak,

- 44:28Speaker 1: nothing because right as house calls, it is your turn, nephew,
- 44:34Speaker 1: you're here with today's praying phone call? What do you
- 44:37Speaker 1: have for us today? A daughter for her birthday? You know,
- 44:41Speaker 1: he always do that to me, asking what he bought
- 44:44Speaker 1: his daughter food for her? You ask him if he
- 44:46Speaker 1: does it to you. She's sixteen. I left my medicine.
- 44:51Speaker 1: I left my medicine. Let's go care do it? Hello?
- 44:56Speaker 1: He wants to be clares clares Hey, moneam, sherman, dog

- 45:20Speaker 1: How you here about this? Oh? No, you know, I
- 45:22Speaker 1: stay a couple of streets, so everybody in the neighborhood

- 45:30Speaker 1: around him. Man. Just don't make no sense. Man. You
- 45:32Speaker 1: go out here and work hard for stuff, and then
- 45:34Speaker 1: you know people just do you like this? Man. It's
- 45:37Speaker 1: just I'm just glad what nobody hurt. Man, My wife
- 45:40Speaker 1: and my son they alive, and that's you know, that's
- 45:43Speaker 1: the best thing. Man. So you know, trying not to
- 45:46Speaker 1: custom something like this happened. You know, I understand. Man.
- 45:50Speaker 1: You stay a couple of streets over you say yeah, yeah, yeah, hey, hey,
- 45:56Speaker 1: let me let me let me say this to you. Man.

- 46:15Speaker 1: know how to say it, but uh, I was. I
- 46:20Speaker 1: was with the two dudes that had broken there. I
- 46:24Speaker 1: was with them when they did that. Okay, you did
- 46:28Speaker 1: you just say you was with them that broke in

- 54:35Speaker 1: long time. We got it for a year. It is
- 54:37Speaker 1: a Strawberry letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject. I pretend to
- 54:41Speaker 1: be broke, but I'm not. We're trying to figure out
- 54:45Speaker 1: who wrote this letter, Dear Stephen Shirley. Was was it
- 54:48Speaker 1: Steve or was it Tommy? Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been
- 54:53Speaker 1: dating a woman for about a year, and I've been
- 54:55Speaker 1: keeping a big secret from her. The secret is I'm
- 54:59Speaker 1: a wealthy man, and my girlfriend doesn't know. Before I
- 55:02Speaker 1: met her and fell in love, I met a lot
- 55:05Speaker 1: of women that were attracted to me because I have
- 55:07Speaker 1: a nice car, expensive watches, and tailored suit. I have
- 55:10Speaker 1: an apartment in the city, and I started taking women
- 55:13Speaker 1: there instead of to my home because my house sits
- 55:16Speaker 1: on a lot of acreage in a gated community in
- 55:20Speaker 1: the suburbs. Oh, that would be Tommy in the past.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Us in the past, I used my house and flashy
- 55:28Speaker 1: things to lure women. But when I turned forty, I
- 55:31Speaker 1: wanted to find my soul mate. The woman, the woman
- 55:36Speaker 1: i'm in love with. The woman i'm in love with
- 55:40Speaker 1: works at a grocery store, and I knew I wanted
- 55:43Speaker 1: her the minute I laid eyes on her. She's my
- 55:46Speaker 1: age and she's a beautiful, hard working woman. So I
- 55:50Speaker 1: asked her out. I was afraid to reveal everything about myself,
- 55:54Speaker 1: so I started driving my suv and I dressed casually
- 55:58Speaker 1: around her. She helped me pick out furniture for my
- 56:01Speaker 1: apartment and had no idea I also have a beautifully
- 56:04Speaker 1: decorated mansion. She knows I have a great job, but
- 56:07Speaker 1: she doesn't know about my investments and all of my
- 56:10Speaker 1: rental properties in town. As we got closer and closer,
- 56:14Speaker 1: she opened up to me about her failed marriage and
- 56:16Speaker 1: said it ended because her ex husband was a liar.
- 56:22Speaker 1: And here I am lying to her about who I
- 56:26Speaker 1: really am. She is my soul mate and she deserves
- 56:29Speaker 1: to know the truth. But I'm afraid she will think
- 56:33Speaker 1: I was testing her to see if she was a
- 56:34Speaker 1: gold digger. I'm ready to marry her, so I want
- 56:37Speaker 1: to come clean and show her the real me. How
- 56:40Speaker 1: can I do this? Should I just take her to
- 56:42Speaker 1: my mansion and yell surprise? Please advice? Wow? If this
- 56:48Speaker 1: isn't a Hallmark Lifetime channel type letter, right here and
- 56:53Speaker 1: I have to tell you, sir, trust me on this.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Please trust me on this. She will be fine. She
- 57:00Speaker 1: will be just fine. This is a lie that she
- 57:03Speaker 1: will kiss you for later. She's not gonna kill you
- 57:06Speaker 1: for this life. She will kiss you this is a
- 57:09Speaker 1: fairy tale every woman dreams about. Everyone woman dreams about
- 57:13Speaker 1: this fairy tale. I mean, you know, we know Cinderella
- 57:16Speaker 1: and all that stuff isn't real, but we still allow
- 57:19Speaker 1: ourselves to, you know, think about the fairy tale every
- 57:21Speaker 1: now and then. We go there from time to time,
- 57:24Speaker 1: and this is one of those times. But this happens
- 57:27Speaker 1: to be real. I suggest to you that you propose
- 57:30Speaker 1: first letter, accept, and then eventually let her see and
- 57:33Speaker 1: really know what you're all about. I know you've been
- 57:36Speaker 1: through others who wanted you just for your money, but
- 57:39Speaker 1: she's a keeper, and I just you know, I just
- 57:41Speaker 1: say to you, don't overthink this. She's going to be fine.
- 57:44Speaker 1: She'll be fine. Steve, this is an interesting letter. It
- 57:49Speaker 1: is because this delimitate timing to guide herself into for
- 57:54Speaker 1: you know, you have to you kind of have to
- 57:57Speaker 1: look at his side of it, you know, like I
- 58:00Speaker 1: feel this dude in in a way, you know, even
- 58:04Speaker 1: dating this woman. And he then kept his big secret
- 58:07Speaker 1: from the secret is I'm a wealthy man and my
- 58:10Speaker 1: girlfriend don't know it. We could have stopped the letter
- 58:13Speaker 1: right here and the next line is and I'm a
- 58:21Speaker 1: wealthy man and my girlfriend don't know it. And when
- 58:25Speaker 1: you're gonna tell her, because boy, you probably gonna see
- 58:29Speaker 1: some shouting. I can't believe this is the lottery dog,
- 58:35Speaker 1: Shelly said it best trust me. She will be fine.
- 58:41Speaker 1: This is one lie she won't to Hell. Yeah, baby,
- 58:47Speaker 1: I know you think I'm broken, But I'm rich. Boy
- 58:51Speaker 1: gone somewhere, Na, Really I'm rich. Boy. Stop saying that
- 58:58Speaker 1: you drive the same truck my brother got. Yeah, but
- 59:02Speaker 1: I got some more houses. Boys. Stop, I just helped
- 59:06Speaker 1: you pick out furniture for your apartment. But yeah, but baby,
- 59:10Speaker 1: but I got more than an apartment. I got rental property.
- 59:15Speaker 1: I live in a mansion with a lot of acreage
- 59:18Speaker 1: in a gay community. What what? And I didn't want
- 59:24Speaker 1: you to think that I was testing you to see
- 59:26Speaker 1: if I was. You was a gold digger? You was?
- 59:31Speaker 1: You was testing her to see her? She will she passed.
- 59:35Speaker 1: She can't wait to find out. She graduated with honors.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Tell you passed to test? Boys, fall out of that
- 59:47Speaker 1: grocery store. You ain't had to sex. You gonna have who? All? Right,
- 59:53Speaker 1: Hold hold it right there, Steve, We're gonna have part
- 59:56Speaker 1: two of your response coming up to twenty three minutes
- 59:58Speaker 1: after I pretend and to be broke, but I'm not,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: is the subject. We'll be right back. You're listening, all right,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject. I
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: pretend to be broke, but I'm not. I'm not, he ain't.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: And if that ain't a thank you Jesus moment, see
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: listen to me. Here's a letter about this man that's
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: been dating this wonderful woman for a while. He kept
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: a big secret from him that he's a wealthy man,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: and she don't know it. Now, you know, before I
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: met her and fell in love, you know, he met
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: a lot of windows tracked to it because what he had.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: So he got him apartment in the city and started
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: taking women to the apartment instead of their home because
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: her house, his house, got a lot of acreage in
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: a gated community in the suburban. And if she used
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: to use flashy things, a little women. But at when
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: he turned for it, he wanted to find his soul mate,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: so the one but that he and love would not
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: work at a grocery store. And I knew I wanted
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: her the moment I laid eyes on her. She's my age,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: she's beautiful, hard worker, woman. So I asked her out,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and I was afraid to reveal everything about myself. So
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I started driving my SUV and I dressed casually. She
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: helped me pick out furniture from my apartment. No idea,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: we had a beauty. I have a beautifully decorated mansion.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: She knows I got a great job, but she don't
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: know about my investments and all the rental property in town.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: So now they didn't get closer. And she talked to
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: you open up about her failed marriage and said it
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: didn't end it because her ex husband was a liar. Yea,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: And here I am lying to her about who I
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: really am. Un dun yes, yes, Lock Vickens. So now
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you gonna tell her that that apartment is just a
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: front that you didn't really need no furniture. You got
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: a wonderfully decorated mansion. And you ain't just got an apartment,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you got an acreage gated in mansion in a gated community.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: And you think that the reason her marriage fell because
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: her husband was a lie. You don't really think this
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: the lie he walked in and told her. Dear right,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: you don't really think this is the lie he told
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: her that ended their marriage. Let me tell yourselfing brother,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Like all men know and women don't understand this statement,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: but they really do it. There is a time to
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: lie and there's a time to tell the truth. I
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: rarely are those two the same occasion. Yeah, it's either
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: we need a lie or we need the truth. That
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: the way men do it. Ladies, I'm sorry to tell
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: you this. We decide when it's time for the lie
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: and when it's time for the truth. Truth. We make
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: that decision based on what we feel like dealing with
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: at that particular day or time. For selfish reasons. In
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: other words, see right there, that relationship. That's what Steve
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: just said. Though if you break it down, that's what
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: I just said. What you just said, you'd lie for
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: selfish reasons depending can deal with at the time, right,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: because we don't want to hurt you right now, right,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: So to delay that right or put it off, we lie.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Oh you're so sensitive and sweet. It's not really to
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: protect yourself. Get out so you won't be the best
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: because we care, okay, love because you love us, right,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: not just because he loved this woman in this ladder
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: that was that this grocery store. He didn't want to
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: take her too fast. You get nose bleed when you
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: go up too high too quick. He loved her, he
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: had loved her. Okay, so let's do a re enactment. Okay,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: you're starting to notice things about me and ask me questions.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: You got an idea that I'm rich, but I'm gonna
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: play like I ain't. So this is what's been happening
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: all this time, Just to say anything to me that
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: might allude to the fact that I got money, but
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna redirected. I'm gonna sure, y'all he'd been doing it. Oh, honey,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: is that a new watching Yesterday it seems like you
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: had on a TIMEX or something. Today you have one.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Is that a Rolex? Wow? That's nice. Yeah, I put
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: I put my Time Max in the shop. That this Alona,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: turning my time next that game? No, no, no, this
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: or this is high it's been going. This is why
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: he in trouble now. So when I put it in
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: the shop, they gave me this as Alna. This ain't mine.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: This Alona. Well, honey, you said we're going to dinner
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: tonight to I look that restaurant up. It's really expensive.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I mean normal, you just we just go down to
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: the street to the corner and get take out. What's
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: the occasion, Oh, we're going We're going to the Eye
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: Hoop tonight. No. I looked up a way more expensive
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: restaurant than that that you said you were taking me to.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: That you forget? Oh no, no, no, the Eye Hop
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: is next dough to it. That's the address that's closest
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: to it. That's I had googled that one instead because
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I just needed to get into the vicinity. But we're
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: gonna go to the Eye Hoop. Don't don't worry ask
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: him about and yeah, and you know what, Um, I
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: noticed some tickets that were laying on the table about
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: a trip to somewhere. I think it was Paris or
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: some place. Are you taking me on a trip or
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: are we going somewhere? I didn't think we could afford
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: anything like that. No, that's my mama's name tickets. That's

- 1:09:37Speaker 1: here we go. We're gonna talk about Real Housewives of Potomac.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: So the ladies are back from their trip Portugal and
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Karen is planning her big wig line the lunch party
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: that's going on, and Karen is making boss moves, but
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: she's still working on her marriage to her husband. Ray.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: When did you see the bubble back? Yes? I did. Yeah,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: that was that was a lot. That was a little much.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: She was taking a romantic bubble bath. And then she's
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: caring from the Real Housewives. Yeah, and she's married to
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: an older gentleman, Steve. So she was in the bubble
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: bath waiting for him to come upstairs and took him
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: a long time to get up to stay. Who is
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: this last dude that's your husband? He's is he in
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: the seventies? Yeah? Because yeah, because I think she's in
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: her fifties and they're like twenty years of twenties. Yeah, yeah, man. Yeah.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: So anyway, it was cute. They were trying to She's
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: trying to rekindle things in our marriage. They've been having
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: some issues and you know, they tried to get romantic
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: and then Ray close the door, shut out the cameras
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: so they can have their little moment. Anyway, So that's that.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: No bathtub, just regle bathtub in the in the bathroom
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: at the house. What's your wife? You know, Gooding Hill
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: will some eisde He just went in the tomb. He
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: no close are getting them joints shape? Yeah? What he is?
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: But that episode was in there. It was for a purpose. Yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: all right, moving on, let's get to it. Wendy, she
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: decided to tell her mom, you know, Wendy's from Nigeria,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: her mom's Nigerian as well, that she did not want
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: to be she does not want to be a professor
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: at John John Hopkins University anymore. Her mom was like, nah, nah,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: you need to keep doing that. So Wendy was a
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: little up tight about that, but she finally gave in
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: and decided to support her daughter and let her daughter
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: pursue her dreams into be a political commentator, and that's
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: what she's starting to do right now anyway, so she
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: has her mother's support. Giselle had a family photo shoot
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: set up and schedule but passed to Jamal Bryant. Uh
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: miss the photo shoot due to delayed flights, international flight
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: schedule and everything, and Giselle was disappointed, but she didn't
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: really show it. She didn't really express it at all.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: So the girls, the kids, I don't know, it's some
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: little issues with this with Gizelle getting back with their dad.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I don't know that. The daughters are just not all
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: the way on board. Did you get that, Shirley. It's
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: just it's weird, right. He hurt their moms, so you
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: know they're very protect protected. Oh, absolutely absolutely so. Moving
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: on to the wig party, Monique was not invited even
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: that's what Karen told the ladies in Portugal, but she
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: actually was invited. She showed up to the party early,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: and then Karen rushed out at the party, hurry up,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: let the girl get a glass of Champain zack. It's funny. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: She rushed her out the party because she knew Candice
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: and the other were coming. The course of drama started
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: when they showed up because Ashley told the ladies that
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Monique was actually invited to the party and she was
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: actually there earlier. So the Grand dam was not having
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: problems and drama at her wig launch party, so she
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: left the party. She left the party that she was hosted,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: and she left the girls there because she was not
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: having it. So there you go. Real Housewives of Potomac

- 1:16:16Speaker 1: a small space in the back of the nail salon
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: that we haven't decided what to do with. My wife
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: went behind my back and had a contractor look at
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the space, and when I found out, she told me
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: that she's opening a last studio in that space. We're
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: equal partners in other businesses, but she never does any
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: work at either one of them, so now she's trying
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: to make her own money without me. This doesn't sit
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: right with me, and I told her I'd take her
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: to court over it, and my right or wrong a
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: court over at All you gotta do is walk up
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: to the contracting. You ain't getting paid, No, ain't nobody
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: if he to pay you. So see, so I don't
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: think it's a court issue. How y'all going to court?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: And I don't know, but the lashes and nails. I
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: don't know how y'all's business this door and if it's
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: working well, but I bet it ain't topping that liquor
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: stoe though not in the silk. Liquor stoles are big
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: in Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Memphis, Chattanooga. Why don't y'all expand
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: the liquor stone? They do a bar as b wild b.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: He's pretty bitter though talking about court. You're right, Yeah,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: you ain't gotta through that man. Yeah, okay. Schandrea and
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Memphis says. I'm a thirty four year old female and
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I was dating a sixty year old married man. Sixty
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: year old married man. His wife found out and called
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: me and asked me to meet with her. I felt
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: so bad that I agreed to talk to her face
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: to face. I was shocked at how beautiful and together
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: she is. She said her husband cheats all the time,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: and she loves him so much that she would never
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: leave him. She offered me fifteen hundred dollars if i'd
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: leave him alone. I genuinely liked her, so I promised
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: her I was not going to see him anymore, and
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: I told her to keep her money. I'm trying to
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: keep my promise to her. But her husband won't leave
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: me alone. Should I tell him? I met his wife
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: and told her everything. Get the money though, why right there?
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Leave me whole first thing? Yeah right, I'm gonna leavehim alone. Yeah, well,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I don't you know. I think it was a smart,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: cool thing of you not to take her money. Yeah, uh,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: you know, but I think you should just leave a
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: guy alone. Just say, hey, look I met with your wife.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: I really respect her. I felt bad about what I'm doing,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: and uh, she told me about how you are and
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: you seeing other people. So go see him. The people
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: coming up. It is our last break of the day,
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: and we'll have some closing remark from the one and only,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: our fearless leader, Steve Harvey with his crazy self. That's
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: coming up with forty nine minutes after right, after this
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: you're listening to show all right here we are at
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: our last break of the day, before we say anything
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: and before we get to the closing remarks, Steve Um,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I wanted to just let everyone know if they missed,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: if they like to hear your interview with President Obama again,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: they can go to Steve Harvey FM and check it
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: out Steve Harvey FM dot com. Talk to somebody that's
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: actually been the president. Did a good job and sound
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: like a president. If you just want to listen to
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: it over and over. You forgot. Yeah, I hated to
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: hang out. I told him. I said, Man, I don't
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: I don't know if we really lies how good we
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: had it? Right? Man? Man, you just missed. Man, this
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: because this right here, this has been I don't I
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: don't even know what this is. This has been for
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: four years. The alarming thing to me, though, is this
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: absurd of a president as he's been to have that
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: many damn supporters. Yeah, it's actually scary, man, Yeah, really,
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: it's actually scary because I truly believe now, I truly
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: believe now that it is party over country or either
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: every country is a big part of that party. One
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: of the damn two, and both of them statements is
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: the same. YEA shocked and appalled at the number of
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: people who actually believed that the something happened in this election.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: It doesn't. Who has The other Republicans who know that,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: who are election ballot officials, have told you. The governors
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: of these red states who are average Trump supporters have
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: told you. The god that's the head of the election
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: bureau is a starch Republican and a big Trump supporter,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: and he says it at every interview and says, we
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: still found nothing. Yeah, but these small minded people believe
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: everything a liar tells them. I just don't know how
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: gullible of a person you can be. I don't care
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: what black person is talking to me. If you start
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: lying to me, hey man, I ain't got nothing for you.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: I don't care how dark skinned you are. I don't
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: care how much you've done for black people. If you
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: start lying to me as a black person, and I'm
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: still the thinking man that I am, why would I
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: follow you. I don't care who you are, and I'm
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: not going to do that. Troubling the number of people
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: who followed this man blindly and just ignore the facts,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: ignore the science, ignore the numbers, ignore the computers, that technology,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: ignore the system. And just because this man said it's
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: a rigged and a fraugulent election, you go, yeah, it's frauging.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: Are you serious? No proof? No proof, go ahead. I
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: was just gonna tell you. This judge in Pennsylvania, he said,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: you know, attorneys don't pick the president. The people. The
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: voters do, So we don't care that you're an attorney
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: for a candidate that don't like the outcome. Change. Yeah,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: and you only don't like where you didn't win, where
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: you lost. That's the only those are the only places
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: you have. You know that Hillary Clinton has not opened
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: her mouth about that last election. No, And do you
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: know hers was the direct she actually won the popular vote, Yes,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and by a lesser margin than the one Joe Biden
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: is winning by his gap. His gap in some of
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: these swing states were in the blue states, were not
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: even as big as the gap that Biden got over him.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: And she didn't open her mouth one time. This dude
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: has made a mockery of democracy. And these people who've
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: had slave owning ancestors are just refusing to understand what
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: that means. This is the same constitution that your forefathers wrote,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: your forefathers wrote this constitution that he's supposed to adhere to.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: But all of a sudden you allow this one right
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: here to get away with non constitutional behavior that your
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: foe fathers wrote. You know, no on it. It's amazing.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: And the two that's shocking me, it's Rubio down in
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Florida and Cruise in Texas. Because man, this coward ted Cruse,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: he's the lowest of all. He's lower to me than
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: David Duke. David Duke ran for office in Louisiana as
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: a clansman, was a grand wizard of the clan. You
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: know what's lower than that? To me? At least I
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: know where you stand. Right, You hate black people, gaye, Jews,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: you hate, you hate anybody ain't what you consider pere wife. Okay,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: that's your position. You're ignorant. Got it When you stand
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: on the stage next to a man and you say
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: you would never support a man who has called your
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: wife ugly, talked about your wife and accused your father
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: or being in on this assassination temp of President Kennedy.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: And this is where you be loyal to him, and
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: you all of a sudden you turn around and reverse
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: your stance or what he's said about your wife and
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: your daddy and you supporting him. Now, yeah, boy, how
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: you him? You piece of that's cow loneness, that's your dog.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Your manhood to me is gone. You trade it in
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: your manhood for something Nah wants is president. He can't,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: damn for all. Steve Harvey contests no purchase necessary, void
