  Thinking today of Proverbs 28-11 where it says, the rich man is wise in his own eyes
• 0:16
  but the poor who had understanding he's through him.

  The fact is it's really easy for people to think they've got it all together, they'll
• 0:24
  think everything is okay, even they may judge themselves or think that they're bad or wicked
• 0:29
  or that their life is not going the way that it should go and basically they're taking
• 0:33
  the place of God because of their wealth, because of their success, they think that
• 0:37
  they have the ability to make those determinations and they're frankly wrong.

  Those of us who are poor in spirit, we're going to inherit much but the bottom line
• 0:47
  is being poor sometimes opens your mind to realize that you don't have everything and
• 0:53
  you don't need everything.
• 0:55
  You have what you need and that's the wisdom of life.
• 0:58
  Trying to be wealthy, trying to make $900 an hour by some kind of side job or trying
• 1:03
  to collect millions or lots of property in this lifetime, these things are not necessary.

  What we do with this lifetime is about serving others.
• 1:11
  Jesus said, the greatest amongst us shall be your servant and so we have the opportunity
• 1:15
  to serve others and make a difference in this world and that's what we really ought to
• 1:18
  be about and sometimes you find folks who aren't rich who have figured that out and
• 1:22
  I think that's what this verse is about.
• 1:24
  So let's live as if we've figured out what this life is really about, not collecting
• 1:29
  wealth, but living, valuing what Jesus has done for us and what we might do for others.
