- 1:49Speaker 1: is to improve well being for all of us, to
- 1:51Speaker 1: achieve generational wellness where they invest twenty percent of their
- 1:56Speaker 1: profits in the fight for health equity and black, brown
- 2:00Speaker 1: and underserved communities. Please welcome the Money Making Conversation master Class.
- 2:04Speaker 1: He's out of the Northeast, I think Boston area. Please
- 2:06Speaker 1: welcome Demond Martin.
- 2:08Speaker 2: How you doing, sir, I'm doing well, brother. Thank you
- 2:11Speaker 2: so much man. And let me let me just start
- 2:13Speaker 2: off by saying, you know, I really appreciate all you do. Uh,
- 2:18Speaker 2: the information and the knowledge and the wisdom that should
- 2:20Speaker 2: you're passing along there so many of us. Is uh
- 2:23Speaker 2: is needed and appreciated.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Well, thank you because sometimes you know, I'm not playing music.
- 2:27Speaker 1: You know, I's no, it's no jamming. There's no jams
- 2:30Speaker 1: over here. You know, this is information. You know, this
- 2:33Speaker 1: is on the number one jazz station in the country.
- 2:35Speaker 1: They stopped playing music, allowed me to talk for an
- 2:37Speaker 1: hour and by guests like you on the show. Guess
- 2:39Speaker 1: who are making a difference in the community when I
- 2:42Speaker 1: demand when you when you're successful. We're going to talk
- 2:44Speaker 1: about that in a minute. But when you say underserved communities,
- 2:48Speaker 1: what do you what?
- 2:49Speaker 3: What?
- 2:49Speaker 1: What's that? What's that area? What? What? What are you
- 2:51Speaker 1: talking about?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Man? I'm I'm talking about the Third War, like you
- 2:56Speaker 2: know where where you grew up, where I grew up
- 2:58Speaker 2: in Englewood, California. I'm talking about all these places that
- 3:01Speaker 2: they don't have the resources and the just pure human
- 3:06Speaker 2: dignity that should be given to them and it's desperately needed.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Now that's always you know, because like I said, you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: he's referencing Houston, Texas area, third Ward Texas. You know,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I've lived in LA for fifteen years, so I'm very
- 3:19Speaker 1: familiar with Inglewood and you know, we always read about
- 3:25Speaker 1: the wealth gap, the racial wealth gap, Well we kind
- 3:28Speaker 1: of miss a lot is the racial health gap. And
- 3:32Speaker 1: that's where you're diving in deep here, aren't you, oh
- 3:36Speaker 1: two thousand percent?
- 3:37Speaker 2: I mean you use Boston as an example, you know,
- 3:41Speaker 2: back Bay, which is pronominally white versus Roxbury, which is
- 3:45Speaker 2: which is black and brown. There's three miles apart from
- 3:48Speaker 2: each other, and there's a twenty three year life expectancy
- 3:52Speaker 2: gap between those two places. So I mean just just imagine, Wow,
- 3:56Speaker 2: you know, three miles away from each other and twenty
- 4:00Speaker 2: three years different in terms of you know, your your lifespan.
- 4:04Speaker 2: And but the reality is that exists in every major
- 4:06Speaker 2: city in the country, right, And so those are the
- 4:10Speaker 2: things that we're attacking now.
- 4:12Speaker 1: The origin story, what spark they drove you and your
- 4:15Speaker 1: co founder? And who is your co founder by the way,
- 4:17Speaker 1: to start well Withal.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Carmichael Roberts, who is a is a dear friend and
- 4:23Speaker 2: brilliant investor, venture capitalist, serial entrepreneur, just an incredible human being.
- 4:30Speaker 2: You know my origin story. I'll go back just a
- 4:33Speaker 2: little bit.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You take your time too, because DeMar and I've heard
- 4:36Speaker 1: we talked offline, and I think this is important that
- 4:39Speaker 1: this is now You're not a doctor, but you are
- 4:41Speaker 1: an expert in changing lives financially, and now you're about
- 4:45Speaker 1: to start changing lives in the health community.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I definitely am not a doctor, but but I have
- 4:50Speaker 2: incredible folks that are that are working with us with
- 4:53Speaker 2: great excellence and ensuring that we get all the things
- 4:56Speaker 2: that we need, from the products that we developed to
- 5:00Speaker 2: to the health information that we put out. But just
- 5:02Speaker 2: in terms of you know, my story, you know, I've
- 5:06Speaker 2: lived this improbable life where I grew up in poverty,
- 5:11Speaker 2: first in Columbus, Ohio, then Inglewood, California. Uh then lived
- 5:15Speaker 2: in a trailer in rural North Carolina, and you know,
- 5:19Speaker 2: I had these extraordinary opportunities to progress. My first job
- 5:25Speaker 2: out of college after going to UNC Charlotte was being
- 5:28Speaker 2: the assistant to the White House Chief of Staff and
- 5:30Speaker 2: the Clinton administration, you know, been consulting for just a
- 5:33Speaker 2: little bit, and then ended up at Harvard Business School,
- 5:36Speaker 2: and then after that I joined what has become one
- 5:40Speaker 2: of the largest hedge funds in the world, and I
- 5:42Speaker 2: was there for twenty one years as one of the
- 5:44Speaker 2: managing partners. And you know that that allowed me to
- 5:47Speaker 2: become you know, a philanthropists, and.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Let's load down. Let's load down to them on because
- 5:51Speaker 1: I love people who were successful. They just go through
- 5:54Speaker 1: all these damps and those little magical moments that make
- 5:57Speaker 1: a difference. And that's why this show is in because
- 6:01Speaker 1: those moments. You know, like like you said, you said
- 6:04Speaker 1: trailer and then you jumped from trailer, which is to
- 6:07Speaker 1: Hedge Fund. Now you jump from a trailer to the
- 6:12Speaker 1: Clinton administration. You know, you jump from a trailer to
- 6:15Speaker 1: Harvard Business School. See that opportunity to slow us down
- 6:21Speaker 1: on those steps because you know, wellwithal is based on
- 6:25Speaker 1: the fact that relationships but also a drive that was
- 6:29Speaker 1: built into you, what caused you to be you. And
- 6:33Speaker 1: then just getting into the story from the trailer park
- 6:35Speaker 1: to the to the to the big house.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I love you know. I never want to bore your
- 6:41Speaker 2: your audience, you know, with more detail, but I'll flow
- 6:45Speaker 2: it down a little bit. I mean, you know, I've
- 6:47Speaker 2: had extraordinary mentors in my life, Yes, sir, people that
- 6:51Speaker 2: that that poured into me. You know, from my fifth
- 6:54Speaker 2: grade teacher that you know, I didn't understand I was
- 6:57Speaker 2: dyslexic at the time at Englewood Create in school. But
- 7:01Speaker 2: she allowed me to realize that, you know, I had
- 7:04Speaker 2: an extraordinary ability, uh when it came to math, and
- 7:08Speaker 2: that that you know, gave my wealth in terms of
- 7:10Speaker 2: an understanding of my intelligence. That that was allowed to progress.
- 7:15Speaker 2: And then you know, I've just had all of these
- 7:17Speaker 2: amazing folks who have given me shots and poured into
- 7:21Speaker 2: my life and invested in me and given me an
- 7:25Speaker 2: opportunity to thrive. You know, Charlotte, I became student body
- 7:29Speaker 2: president as a sophomore and and just had these leadership
- 7:33Speaker 2: opportunities that allowed me to give speeches and and interact
- 7:37Speaker 2: with folks. And you know, I'm I'm sitting at dinner
- 7:39Speaker 2: tables not knowing exactly you know, whish fork to use,
- 7:43Speaker 2: and eating the wrong bread at times. But but was
- 7:47Speaker 2: allowed to progress and grow and get that exposure. And
- 7:50Speaker 2: the exposure at each one of those levels, you know,
- 7:53Speaker 2: allowed me to to see myself in a different light
- 7:57Speaker 2: and and imagine what could be possible. And when I
- 8:00Speaker 2: met my wife in college, you know, she believed in
- 8:05Speaker 2: me and rolled with me and stood right beside me
- 8:10Speaker 2: and oftentimes in front of me. H and allowed me
- 8:13Speaker 2: to continue to grow. When I was at the White house.
- 8:18Speaker 2: You know, six months into my job, I was living
- 8:22Speaker 2: on my fraternity brother's couch in Alexandria, Virginia, and my
- 8:26Speaker 2: car broke down. I had to be the first person
- 8:29Speaker 2: into the West wing every morning. And my boss at
- 8:32Speaker 2: the time, Erskine Bowles, you know, heard about it, and
- 8:35Speaker 2: he said, look, you know, I'm living in this big
- 8:37Speaker 2: house in Georgetown. Once you come live with.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Me, please don't go anywhere. We'll be right back with
- 8:42Speaker 3: more money Making Conversations master Class. Welcome back to the
- 8:51Speaker 3: Money Making Conversations master Class hosted by Rashaan McDonald. Money
- 8:56Speaker 3: Making Conversations master Class continues online at money Making Conversations
- 9:00Speaker 3: dot com and follow money Making Conversations Masterclass on Facebook, Twitter,
- 9:05Speaker 3: and Instagram.
- 9:07Speaker 2: And and and that, you know, was this magical changing
- 9:10Speaker 2: moment because I said yes, because I had nowhere else
- 9:13Speaker 2: to live. But the time that we spent together allowed
- 9:17Speaker 2: him to become a mentor to me and give me
- 9:21Speaker 2: exposure to to what another world, you know, could could
- 9:25Speaker 2: look like. And and and that was a really impactful moment.
- 9:30Speaker 2: And he's he's like my second father, you know, just
- 9:33Speaker 2: invested in me in in such an extraordinary way, and
- 9:36Speaker 2: in each one of those points, you know, whether it
- 9:38Speaker 2: be at Harvard Business School with Jim Cash, you know,
- 9:42Speaker 2: who was one of my greatest mentors, and David Thomas,
- 9:45Speaker 2: who's currently the president of Morehouse College. You know, those folks,
- 9:49Speaker 2: you know, gave me wisdom in those moments where I
- 9:52Speaker 2: needed it. You know, where I hadn't seen you know
- 9:56Speaker 2: what those other rooms look like. Uh, but they gave
- 9:59Speaker 2: me guidance. So when I walked into them, I was prepared.
- 10:02Speaker 1: You know, it's really amazing because, uh, you know, because
- 10:06Speaker 1: I remember I grew up in the hood, the neighborhood,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and I didn't know I because I grew up with
- 10:11Speaker 1: six sisters and two brothers them on and so I
- 10:14Speaker 1: used to spoon. I mean, my wife will tell you
- 10:17Speaker 1: she was always saying, why you always use a spoon?
- 10:20Speaker 1: You know, I would either steak with aol, I would
- 10:22Speaker 1: eat the spoon was my thing. I didn't know what
- 10:25Speaker 1: a knife was, you know, I was everything was a
- 10:27Speaker 1: spoon because we didn't have everything, you know, we you know,
- 10:30Speaker 1: that was that was my That was my number one thing,
- 10:32Speaker 1: a spoon. And my friends in college would look at me, go,
- 10:35Speaker 1: we's shy and you would eat everything with a spoon.
- 10:37Speaker 1: So yeah, well it did not have dawned on me
- 10:40Speaker 1: about a knife in a fark, especially a knife.
- 10:44Speaker 2: When you when you have, you know, lived experiences like
- 10:48Speaker 2: we've had, it gives you a level of empathy and
- 10:51Speaker 2: and understanding that that most people don't. Right, And in
- 10:56Speaker 2: my heart as soon as I had two nickels to
- 10:58Speaker 2: rub together. You know, my wife and I have poured
- 11:03Speaker 2: in the black, brown and underserved communities because we've lived
- 11:06Speaker 2: in those places. And you know, you asked me, like,
- 11:09Speaker 2: what made me me? It's been those experiences, surviving them,
- 11:15Speaker 2: seeing what the reality of them are, and living on
- 11:18Speaker 2: the other side and knowing that I have to look
- 11:21Speaker 2: back and do more because I easily could be me
- 11:24Speaker 2: right there in that same place.
- 11:26Speaker 1: You know, something on According to Deffiser, black people are at
- 11:30Speaker 1: a higher risk for heart disease, stroke, cancer, asthma, and
- 11:35Speaker 1: diabetes compared to their white components. Counterponents counterpart excuse me,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and like you just said, in the Boston area, three
- 11:43Speaker 1: miles apart, twenty three years in life's expectancy. But that's
- 11:47Speaker 1: not all based on research. The mental health side of
- 11:50Speaker 1: us is failing as well. And so what time in
- 11:54Speaker 1: your life because you mentioned a hedge fund success, you
- 11:57Speaker 1: mentioned a venture capitalist coming into your life. Best in it?
- 12:01Speaker 1: What timeline did you say? I'm successful here, but I
- 12:05Speaker 1: got to give back in a way that impacts me personally,
- 12:09Speaker 1: but also more impacts the community that I feel needs it.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Now. You know, four years ago, I was standing in
- 12:18Speaker 2: the middle of an emergency room with my oldest child
- 12:21Speaker 2: dealing with depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. And that changed
- 12:27Speaker 2: my family's world. That changed my world, That changed my
- 12:30Speaker 2: whole perspective on everything. And you know, as we were
- 12:35Speaker 2: going through literally the toughest moments of our life, you know,
- 12:40Speaker 2: I had this great clarity because when I walk into
- 12:43Speaker 2: an emergency room, because I've been in a philanthropist for
- 12:45Speaker 2: the last twenty years, before I sit down, somebody says,
- 12:48Speaker 2: mister Martin, you know, we have a room for your family.
- 12:51Speaker 2: The fourteen year old version of myself in the exact
- 12:55Speaker 2: same scenario would be likely either either dead or in
- 13:00Speaker 2: given the lack of resources, living in the trailer in
- 13:03Speaker 2: rural North Carolina. And that just stuck with me. And
- 13:06Speaker 2: I was having all these sleepless nights, you know, worrying
- 13:09Speaker 2: about my child. The thing that just kept sticking with
- 13:12Speaker 2: me is like I got to do something to impact black,
- 13:16Speaker 2: brown underserved communities and and and that's been the birth
- 13:19Speaker 2: of Well with All. You know, how do you use
- 13:22Speaker 2: the skills that you have, which you know, my business partner,
- 13:26Speaker 2: a co founder, and I you know, have been capitalists
- 13:29Speaker 2: for you know, a long time, and we've built extraordinary relationships.
- 13:34Speaker 2: How do we use those skills to actually benefit black,
- 13:38Speaker 2: brown underserved communities, you know in this context. And that's
- 13:42Speaker 2: what Well Withal is. We take twenty percent of the
- 13:44Speaker 2: profits of everything that we sell and we pour it
- 13:47Speaker 2: into health equity, you know, for for the folks who
- 13:51Speaker 2: truly need it.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Now, before we go to break, Well with All, what
- 13:55Speaker 1: did the name come from?
- 13:59Speaker 2: You know, we we thought a lot about a lot
- 14:01Speaker 2: of different names, uh huh. And the thing that was
- 14:04Speaker 2: very clear is we wanted it to be Well with All.
- 14:07Speaker 2: We're not going to stop until we do it.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Wow. And that because because when you're saying you're investing
- 14:13Speaker 1: in the community, you really are with twenty percent of
- 14:15Speaker 1: your profits. And after the break, we're going to talk
- 14:16Speaker 1: about those products that you are using to physically and
- 14:22Speaker 1: emotionally and mentally inspire people they have better lives. But
- 14:26Speaker 1: when you say, well with all the spark, the drive,
- 14:29Speaker 1: and you talk about the personal story of your of
- 14:31Speaker 1: your daughter, and then I can remember before we go
- 14:34Speaker 1: to record, share this quick story. I remember when my
- 14:37Speaker 1: lung collapsed in California and I was just you know,
- 14:41Speaker 1: I was kind of doing stand up and I've been
- 14:44Speaker 1: on a lot of TV shows demand, and I remember
- 14:46Speaker 1: when I went in the hospital SESUS side and I
- 14:49Speaker 1: has a regular hospital wing and then they have a
- 14:51Speaker 1: celebrity hospital wing, and then they put me on the
- 14:54Speaker 1: celebrity floor, which means everybody couldn't come see you and
- 14:57Speaker 1: all that stuff. So I truly understand what you're saying
- 14:59Speaker 1: that halves get it. They get it when they don't
- 15:03Speaker 1: want to ask for they are going to get it
- 15:05Speaker 1: either through financial through celebrities, through who you know and
- 15:08Speaker 1: who know you. And now you're trying to give that
- 15:12Speaker 1: have to a community that is underserved and don't know
- 15:17Speaker 1: how to get it. Correct.
- 15:19Speaker 2: That's right. It does not have to be that way.
- 15:22Speaker 2: We we have to know how and the resources to
- 15:26Speaker 2: treat people with dignity and respects. And you know, again
- 15:30Speaker 2: we're using the lens of how do we create incredible products?
- 15:35Speaker 2: Take you know, the profits of things that we were
- 15:37Speaker 2: already gonna buy anyway and do good.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I'm interviewing Demand Martin. He is the founder or co
- 15:44Speaker 1: founder of Well Withal. It's an organization that is changing
- 15:48Speaker 1: their lives and it's a it was a line in
- 15:50Speaker 1: these and there. When I went to WOOFO, we we
- 15:53Speaker 1: fill out information, they said, what does generation of wealth wellness? See?
- 15:58Speaker 1: I always say wealth all the time. This first time
- 15:59Speaker 1: I've heard word generational wellness? And I said, I went
- 16:03Speaker 1: back to my old hat because when I hear generational,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I always hear wealth. So what does generational wealness mean
- 16:10Speaker 1: to you? Sir?
- 16:12Speaker 2: Hey? See like you you're you're right on point, because
- 16:15Speaker 2: generational wellness actually is generational wealth. Right there, single greatest
- 16:20Speaker 2: asset that you can have is your health. Yes, right,
- 16:23Speaker 2: I mean there there are a ton of rich people
- 16:26Speaker 2: that have zero days left. And what good is that?
- 16:29Speaker 3: We know?
- 16:30Speaker 1: You know, I I you know it's really interesting is
- 16:34Speaker 1: that you know when we young were just young, you know,
- 16:37Speaker 1: we get a cold. I know why I play I
- 16:38Speaker 1: get basket When I was young and my twenties, I
- 16:40Speaker 1: get a back, I get a cold. I just go
- 16:41Speaker 1: play the cold off. You know, I just go out
- 16:43Speaker 1: there just hoop. You know, I get a cold, I
- 16:45Speaker 1: get a cold night brother, I look like I'm in
- 16:48Speaker 1: I got a meliciny chest in my truck as I
- 16:51Speaker 1: drive home, wrapped up.
- 16:55Speaker 2: My knees.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Kn't hamdler going out there in the court. And so
- 16:58Speaker 1: so when I when I think of about that, the
- 17:00Speaker 1: whole weldness process, and and and I love getting compliments
- 17:04Speaker 1: from people at my age, you know, all those things
- 17:06Speaker 1: that have value to us. Now you have products that
- 17:10Speaker 1: you are that you went and sat down. Let's talk
- 17:13Speaker 1: about that part of the business model, because this is
- 17:16Speaker 1: money making conversation master class. You are an entrepreneur, you
- 17:20Speaker 1: develop a hedge fund, then you say, there's another model
- 17:23Speaker 1: out there that can generate revenue but also can improve
- 17:26Speaker 1: the lives of individuals from a wellness perspective. Let's talk
- 17:29Speaker 1: about that model.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, and just you know, we have been
- 17:34Speaker 2: underserved even as even consumers right where, you know, I thought,
- 17:40Speaker 2: what if we actually looked at our consumer base and
- 17:44Speaker 2: design product with us in mind and made them premium
- 17:48Speaker 2: quality and and just really extraordinary products. And and by
- 17:52Speaker 2: the way, the response that we've gotten about our products
- 17:55Speaker 2: have been really amazing, overwhelmingly because we we've had some
- 18:00Speaker 2: of the best people in the world designed them. But
- 18:02Speaker 2: the reality is is that, you know, the nutritional composition
- 18:06Speaker 2: of the American diet is incomplete for almost everybody, and
- 18:10Speaker 2: and so by having supplements to that, whether it be
- 18:14Speaker 2: our multi vitamins, which which are extraordinary, or even thinking
- 18:17Speaker 2: about you know, how we're living our lives and not
- 18:20Speaker 2: getting enough sleep. Our speech support product is extraordinary. These
- 18:24Speaker 2: are all things that I use and my family uses,
- 18:27Speaker 2: and that you know, are enhancing the way we're living
- 18:30Speaker 2: our life. And again we're just getting really extraordinary response
- 18:34Speaker 2: from them. Let me ask you, by the way you
- 18:35Speaker 2: can go. You can go to Wellwithall dot com and
- 18:37Speaker 2: pick those up.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Okay, let me ask you this. It's about trust now,
- 18:40Speaker 1: because you know, you know, I get up in the morning,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I kid you not. I got I got my high
- 18:45Speaker 1: bless your prey peel. I got my high blessed blood
- 18:48Speaker 1: pressure peel. I got my thyroid peel. I got my
- 18:51Speaker 1: calcium peel, I got my I got three other pills
- 18:55Speaker 1: I take. I got a peal for my because central
- 18:59Speaker 1: you know, because of by multi vitem appeal. Now, now,
- 19:03Speaker 1: how do I trust you, you know, and I'm not
- 19:06Speaker 1: saying in the negative man, And that's what we're doing now.
- 19:08Speaker 1: We're taking people who are tied to going into a
- 19:12Speaker 1: drug store seeing all these brands that have told us
- 19:17Speaker 1: you should be using us. And so when you have
- 19:20Speaker 1: a new product like yours, how do we how do
- 19:23Speaker 1: you convince me that I can trust you it really
- 19:26Speaker 1: is going to work?
- 19:28Speaker 2: You know. The thing that I'm really proud of is
- 19:30Speaker 2: the team that we've been able to attract. And again,
- 19:34Speaker 2: you know, I invested in the consumer world for over
- 19:36Speaker 2: twenty years and with an extraordinary fashion, and we've been
- 19:42Speaker 2: able to bring some of the best in the world.
- 19:44Speaker 2: We've got a unicorn and our chief merchant who has
- 19:48Speaker 2: been in this industry for twenty years and doing so
- 19:52Speaker 2: in a really extraordinary way. The former CEO at G
- 19:55Speaker 2: and C is one of our business partners. We brought
- 19:58Speaker 2: together the best people in the world to develop these products.
- 20:03Speaker 2: And also you'll you'll see some some significant announcements. We've
- 20:07Speaker 2: partnered with some of the biggest institutions UH in the
- 20:11Speaker 2: world as well. We're making these products with with excellence
- 20:16Speaker 2: because that is what we deserve. And and and by
- 20:19Speaker 2: the way, Everything is premium quality right right. Everything is
- 20:23Speaker 2: clinically studied dosages with clinically studied ingredients every day, all day,
- 20:29Speaker 2: you know, because we we we we wanted to take
- 20:31Speaker 2: zero risks with that factor.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Because no one's question that, you know, like I said,
- 20:36Speaker 1: and that's that's why I brought you on the show,
- 20:37Speaker 1: because of the fact that I've done my research and
- 20:39Speaker 1: this is this is people. I hope I've developed a
- 20:43Speaker 1: reputation out there in this industry where people who listen
- 20:46Speaker 1: to my show, they trust that Shan has done his research.
- 20:49Speaker 1: He's talking to a credible source. But it is competition,
- 20:53Speaker 1: it is marketing. It is being able to have your
- 20:57Speaker 1: products stand out on the shelf of people clicking your
- 21:00Speaker 1: online how do you market your product and it's new, so.
- 21:05Speaker 2: You know, one of the things that we're doing, we're
- 21:07Speaker 2: actually out with our consumers. We were Essence Stuffs and
- 21:14Speaker 2: the response that we got there both with a new
- 21:17Speaker 2: drink that will be launching next year as well as
- 21:20Speaker 2: our existing products, and just to see the response over
- 21:24Speaker 2: and over and over again, to have people there was
- 21:27Speaker 2: a moment where my wife was just in tears because
- 21:29Speaker 2: it's one thing to come home and say baby, Look, look, loter,
- 21:31Speaker 2: what we're about to do to see you know, hundreds
- 21:35Speaker 2: and hundreds and hundreds of people over and over again
- 21:38Speaker 2: say this is really good. This is really good, this
- 21:40Speaker 2: is really good. And we got the exact same response
- 21:43Speaker 2: that the HBCU Classic in New York that we were
- 21:47Speaker 2: just at this this past Saturday. And the consumer is
- 21:50Speaker 2: telling us over and over again that they love what
- 21:54Speaker 2: we're what we're building and developing, and there's going to
- 21:56Speaker 2: be more and more that that continues to come.
- 21:58Speaker 1: You know, is people special, man? You know I love
- 22:02Speaker 1: I love us, man, I'm telling you. And that's all
- 22:05Speaker 1: about to go with the ball. They they they they
- 22:07Speaker 1: are like the truth sayers. You know what I'm saying.
- 22:09Speaker 1: When they say this is good, that meant that they
- 22:12Speaker 1: really didn't believe. They didn't believe, and then you you
- 22:16Speaker 1: sold them out right there they turned there go this
- 22:19Speaker 1: is really really good. And so so talk to us
- 22:22Speaker 1: about some of the different products, because you talk about
- 22:24Speaker 1: you have a drink coming out, and and how these
- 22:26Speaker 1: products go through the test cycle and and then uh,
- 22:30Speaker 1: and then just talk about the website and and drive
- 22:33Speaker 1: people to your websites.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Are yeah, again, the products are really extraordinary. The men's
- 22:40Speaker 2: and when women's uh multi vitamins are are incredible, the
- 22:43Speaker 2: sleep products are incredible. We've got this line good numbers,
- 22:49Speaker 2: the special formulated for exactly the areas in which we
- 22:55Speaker 2: we tend to be most vulnerable as we think about cholesterol, diabetes,
- 22:59Speaker 2: hypertension and and you know, preventative measures you know around
- 23:03Speaker 2: that that we should be having those conversations early in life,
- 23:06Speaker 2: you know, particularly if if there's a family history and
- 23:08Speaker 2: and uh, there's just an overall concern like and and
- 23:12Speaker 2: in addition to the products, like, we're not stopping there,
- 23:15Speaker 2: We're creating really great content around these conditions and and
- 23:21Speaker 2: and issues that we're suffering from, you know, putting putting
- 23:24Speaker 2: together with Boston Children's Hospital a parenting toolkit that you know,
- 23:29Speaker 2: parents that are that are dealing with anxiety, depression and suicidality,
- 23:34Speaker 2: all these things that a lot of folks are paying
- 23:37Speaker 2: hundreds of thousands of dollars to get advice on. You know,
- 23:40Speaker 2: we're we're going to be producing content to to help
- 23:42Speaker 2: folks you know, manage through and get educated, uh in
- 23:47Speaker 2: in these important areas. I will say, oh, sorry.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Now, I was just I was just letting people know
- 23:52Speaker 1: where with all yeah, well with all blood pressure support, yeah,
- 23:56Speaker 1: well with all blood sugar support, Yeah, with all cholesterol
- 24:02Speaker 1: support you have, well with all vitamin D three and
- 24:06Speaker 1: K two, well with all mega three. Well with all
- 24:10Speaker 1: women's multi as well as sleep support. Is that sleep support,
- 24:15Speaker 1: and then as well as men multime. So across the board,
- 24:18Speaker 1: you're covering all areas and so one that's important, correct
- 24:24Speaker 1: that you've been able to offer these things that are
- 24:26Speaker 1: important to a certain age group as well as people
- 24:29Speaker 1: who who need them as men and women. That's that's
- 24:33Speaker 1: the whole process, right.
- 24:35Speaker 2: That that that's exactly right. And and the drink that
- 24:38Speaker 2: we're launching, you know, we'll be taste testing around the country.
- 24:42Speaker 2: But it's a it's a caffeinated beverage, only eighty milligrams
- 24:47Speaker 2: of caffeine, all natural, and it tastes fantastic. So if
- 24:52Speaker 2: you think about, you know, what's one of the highest
- 24:55Speaker 2: caloric intake products across the country, it's it's the sugary
- 25:02Speaker 2: sodas that that folks are are consuming. And we've got
- 25:06Speaker 2: something that uh, they can they can switch out and
- 25:09Speaker 2: and uh and we'll really enjoy well.
- 25:11Speaker 1: You know, well, first of all, thank you for taking
- 25:13Speaker 1: the time that you articulately. You're smart. You know, I'll
- 25:17Speaker 1: be honest with you. I've read about hedge funds. I
- 25:20Speaker 1: just first time I met a guy who started a
- 25:23Speaker 1: head fund. So I feel good about this interview. I'm
- 25:26Speaker 1: moving up.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Just started, but I was there from the from the from.
- 25:29Speaker 1: The I'm gonna tell you them just like just like
- 25:31Speaker 1: those people in essence, they looked at you when this
- 25:33Speaker 1: tastes good. I'm gonna say, you just started this. Okay,
- 25:36Speaker 1: this tastes good. See you gotta give me some props. Now,
- 25:39Speaker 1: you gotta let me. Let me let me self hype
- 25:42Speaker 1: myself to my fan base. You know what I'm saying.
- 25:45Speaker 1: So when they when they google hedge fun, it's a
- 25:47Speaker 1: Youshan moving up. He interviewed the founders of hedge Funds. Oh,
- 25:55Speaker 1: I appreciate you, man, but give us that that that
- 25:57Speaker 1: that website one more time and again we'll be bringing
- 25:59Speaker 1: you back when you drop that drink. Because of course,
- 26:03Speaker 1: you know, like I said, man, that's why I'm honest
- 26:06Speaker 1: in telling people what I do. What my daily regime is.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You might look at me, go we should you look good,
- 26:11Speaker 1: but we should have taken some pills okay, to look good,
- 26:13Speaker 1: to get up to walk okay. And that's why I
- 26:16Speaker 1: had to bring you on the show to say, hey man,
- 26:18Speaker 1: you know there's an African American man that's out here
- 26:21Speaker 1: competing in the industry that's providing products that you guys
- 26:25Speaker 1: should consider. And that's what well, hey.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Well, we're gonna we're gonna send you some additional product, brother,
