- 2:11Speaker 1: show today. I want to just share or something with you.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Um along your way, um to wherever it is you're
- 2:24Speaker 1: trying to get to. You know, every everybody has a
- 2:27Speaker 1: different definition for success, and I'm not. I'm not here
- 2:31Speaker 1: to tell you what yours should be. I mean, please
- 2:33Speaker 1: pursue whatever you think success. He is aim as high
- 2:37Speaker 1: as you can though. Uh, that's for sure. My father
- 2:42Speaker 1: used to say all the time. I'm sure you all
- 2:44Speaker 1: have heard it in different variations, but he used to
- 2:47Speaker 1: always say aim for the moon. Just in case you
- 2:50Speaker 1: miss you'll still be amongst the stars. Just say that
- 2:53Speaker 1: to me all the time. So that always was in
- 2:57Speaker 1: me to aim high. Now he wasn't saying aim with
- 3:02Speaker 1: the intent to miss. He was just saying aim in
- 3:07Speaker 1: case you miss, you're still a mongst the stars. If
- 3:10Speaker 1: you aim for the moon. But if you just aim
- 3:13Speaker 1: for that first flow wind and you miss it, you know,
- 3:18Speaker 1: usually run into some type of wall and nothing happens.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You slither down. But a lot of times I think
- 3:25Speaker 1: along the way, folks, you know, we just don't understand
- 3:27Speaker 1: what all it takes, and so we give up along
- 3:30Speaker 1: the way. But there's a couple of things I want
- 3:33Speaker 1: you to prepare yourself for. You know. In my book,
- 3:37Speaker 1: act like a lady, think like a man. I told
- 3:39Speaker 1: her people that men love three ways. They profess, they provide,
- 3:42Speaker 1: they protect, and that's the core essence of a man's love. Well,
- 3:48Speaker 1: there's some other peas in life too. And uh now,
- 3:55Speaker 1: the number one thing you have to understand about trying
- 3:59Speaker 1: to be successful. And I guess I call this the
- 4:03Speaker 1: four piece. I may come up with five along the way.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm just talking as it is given
- 4:08Speaker 1: to me. So I'm gonna summer start by saying, as
- 4:12Speaker 1: these are the four piece of uh success that you
- 4:16Speaker 1: have to get ready for it. Number one, it's pressure,
- 4:21Speaker 1: pure pressure. Being successful. It's just pressure. A lot of
- 4:31Speaker 1: it is applied by the circumstance of what you're trying
- 4:34Speaker 1: to go for and what you're trying to do, but
- 4:39Speaker 1: a lot of it also is self imposed pressure. It's um,
- 4:45Speaker 1: it's it's what you put on yourself to make it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's it's a sense of urgency, it's it's a sense
- 4:53Speaker 1: of necessity. But pressure is the first thing I want
- 4:58Speaker 1: you to be ready for. And pressure comes in a
- 5:01Speaker 1: lot of different forms, but it's gonna be pressured. As
- 5:04Speaker 1: an old saying the pressure bus to pipe. See, that's
- 5:07Speaker 1: why most people turn around because of the pressure of
- 5:10Speaker 1: trying to be successful. I want you to get it
- 5:13Speaker 1: in your mind that it is going to be a
- 5:16Speaker 1: pressurized situation on your rise to the top. Pressure wise,
- 5:22Speaker 1: it's gonna be pressure. It's gonna be difficult to do.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It's gonna be moments when it seems like it's real heavy.
- 5:28Speaker 1: It's gonna be moments, man, when it feels like you're
- 5:30Speaker 1: gonna burst us. All comes from pressure. Pressure bus to
- 5:34Speaker 1: pipe pressure, But understand that that is what it is,
- 5:40Speaker 1: is not going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself, get
- 5:44Speaker 1: ready for there to be pressure. The second thing I
- 5:51Speaker 1: want you to understand is when you receive this pressure,
- 5:55Speaker 1: you have to persist. You got to stay at it.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You got to develop a dog itness has a there's
- 6:08Speaker 1: a song out who says, why must I feel like that?
- 6:13Speaker 1: Why must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog
- 6:18Speaker 1: in me? That's a funny line in that song, because
- 6:23Speaker 1: really I was thinking about it one day. I was
- 6:25Speaker 1: humming it and and and it, and it occurred to
- 6:28Speaker 1: me he said, why must I feel like that? Why
- 6:32Speaker 1: must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog in me?
- 6:38Speaker 1: And you know, now you could take it into literal
- 6:40Speaker 1: sense that the cat chases the dog because it's innately
- 6:44Speaker 1: is in his spirit that cats and dogs are a
- 6:47Speaker 1: lot of times enemies. Now people have pets and help
- 6:50Speaker 1: proven that if you show love on both sides, they
- 6:52Speaker 1: can exist. And that happens too. But naturally, innately, when
- 6:57Speaker 1: your cat goes by a dog, your dog don't mechanism.
- 7:00Speaker 1: That's some barking going on. I'm talking I just walking
- 7:03Speaker 1: through the neighborhood or something. So but the reason that
- 7:06Speaker 1: this dog it's so persistent towards this cat's just cause
- 7:13Speaker 1: it's in him. It's innately in him. And what I'm
- 7:18Speaker 1: saying to you, just using that as an analogy, is
- 7:23Speaker 1: that you got to be you got to be persistent
- 7:29Speaker 1: in that. You got to develop some dog in you now,
- 7:33Speaker 1: because pressure take some fighting back. See if you don't
- 7:37Speaker 1: fight back against pressure, pressure buster pipes, So what you're
- 7:40Speaker 1: think it will do to you? Pressure, crack walls, pressure calls, explosions.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So if you don't fight back to hold it in,
- 7:50Speaker 1: you understand pressure does most people in the simple thing
- 7:55Speaker 1: called pressure, the weight of what it feels like to
- 7:59Speaker 1: want to be successful on every single day, over and
- 8:02Speaker 1: over and over and over and over. It's just too
- 8:05Speaker 1: much pressure. People crack. You got to persist. You have
- 8:09Speaker 1: to persist. You can the thought of giving up can come,
- 8:14Speaker 1: but you gotta get it out. You gotta persist. The
- 8:22Speaker 1: next thing I want you to think about, there's another
- 8:25Speaker 1: something that I've been thinking about for years and learn
- 8:28Speaker 1: for years. It's called perseverance. See, to persist means to
- 8:36Speaker 1: to to to to insist. Keyword in insist and persistence
- 8:41Speaker 1: insists you must you must insist that this is going
- 8:45Speaker 1: to happen. Now, the persist I'm assuming means it's a
- 8:49Speaker 1: pro action. It's some type of pro action that you
- 8:52Speaker 1: go towards it to make it. You know, persist, you
- 8:56Speaker 1: gotta be persistent. You gotta be constantly at you insist
- 9:00Speaker 1: thing that it happens. You gotta be constantly at it.
- 9:02Speaker 1: But the next thing I want you to remember is perseverance.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Perseverance is important. Perseverance means that when you've done your best,
- 9:13Speaker 1: when you've persisted, when you're fighting back against the pressure.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Perseverance simply means I'm gonna I'm gonna hang in here. Now,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I'm going to hang in here. What if if a
- 9:27Speaker 1: crack come into pipe, I'm gonna hang in there. If
- 9:31Speaker 1: the pipe bust, I'm gonna keep going. If I gotta
- 9:34Speaker 1: put duct take silly glue, bondo mud, whatever I got
- 9:41Speaker 1: to put on this thing. Man, I'm gonna use perseverance.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I'm going to stay with it no matter what. So
- 9:50Speaker 1: we're looking at the three things again. You got to
- 9:53Speaker 1: understand that it's gonna be pressure that you're gonna have
- 9:57Speaker 1: to persist key word and persisted. Insist. You have to
- 10:01Speaker 1: insist that no matter what the pressure is, I'm gonna
- 10:04Speaker 1: stay with it. But then perseverance if it goes wrong. Man,
- 10:08Speaker 1: you got to get in there and keep fighting. You
- 10:13Speaker 1: got to use the dog in you. Everybody got to
- 10:18Speaker 1: develop some dog in them or else you can't win
- 10:22Speaker 1: in this thing called life. So you got the pressure,
- 10:27Speaker 1: you got to be persistent, and then you got to persevere.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you one more that's key to this
- 10:35Speaker 1: whole thing. Prayer. Prayer is the key to this whole thing.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I am telling you, I am giving you the best
- 10:48Speaker 1: shot I got it making it. You have got to
- 10:53Speaker 1: understand that it is going to be pressure. You have
- 10:58Speaker 1: got to understand that you absolutely have to persist. You
- 11:03Speaker 1: have to insist that this has to happen for you.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And then when it starts going wrong, you got to
- 11:11Speaker 1: develop some doggedness in you. You got to persevere. But then,
- 11:15Speaker 1: Lord ha mercy, nothing helps you handle the three peas
- 11:19Speaker 1: better than the fourth p You got to pray. You
- 11:23Speaker 1: got to use prayer. You gotta talk to God. You
- 11:28Speaker 1: gotta use faith. You gotta have some conferences with him
- 11:33Speaker 1: late at night, early in the morning, in the middle
- 11:36Speaker 1: of the afternoon when you own the train when you're driving,
- 11:39Speaker 1: you got to talk to God. Man. You gotta get
- 11:42Speaker 1: yourself some help along the way. Nothing is bigger than prayer.
- 11:45Speaker 1: There is nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer will help you
- 11:49Speaker 1: overcome the pressure. Prayer will help you stay persistent and
- 11:52Speaker 1: Lord her mercy, Prayer will help you persevere. Them is
- 11:56Speaker 1: the foe pas that just came to me today. God
- 11:59Speaker 1: gave it. I'm passing it on. You're listening to the
- 12:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Eighteen minutes after that, I welcome
- 12:10Speaker 1: to the Ride Jaw Steve Harpin Martin Show. What's going on? Everybody?
- 12:15Speaker 1: Everybody good? Yeah, every it happened. You know why? I said, Uh,
- 12:28Speaker 1: everybody glad, very appreciative, very grateful. Yeah, LF, you're feeling good.
- 12:37Speaker 1: On Thursday, I wanted to tell y'all something this morning,
- 12:41Speaker 1: and I thought about it at the house, but I forgot.
- 12:45Speaker 1: You don't so much going on your on your brain.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You have so much your notes for the show. You
- 12:54Speaker 1: just keep them in your head and then you forget them. Yeah.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Time he just got to work because what I do
- 13:03Speaker 1: is I just think of something else. Yeah, okay, here
- 13:09Speaker 1: you are man? All right? Then it's been a busy
- 13:16Speaker 1: Thursday already interesting, Yeah, crazy headlines the president, what do
- 13:26Speaker 1: you do? What are you don't do? Well, you know
- 13:31Speaker 1: the whole big thing about there's no evidence whatsoever, you
- 13:35Speaker 1: know from the FBI. Everyone James called me the director
- 13:39Speaker 1: that um, there was any evidence of President Obama wire
- 13:44Speaker 1: tapping Trump Tower during the election last year. But see,
- 13:49Speaker 1: can I say this man, m hmm. I don't think
- 13:53Speaker 1: that CNN, MSNBC and head News understand what's being done here.
- 14:04Speaker 1: It's a distraction. It's a distraction, and everybody bid it
- 14:11Speaker 1: hook line and sinker. Well. Well, now I don't think
- 14:14Speaker 1: that they don't think it's a distraction. I think that
- 14:17Speaker 1: their job, though is to report the news. But sure, distraction.
- 14:23Speaker 1: There is no no news because listen to me, what
- 14:30Speaker 1: they tried to do was detract from all the allegations
- 14:35Speaker 1: of Russian involvement and hacking up the election. So they
- 14:39Speaker 1: introduced this Obama tapped his phone that got introduced at
- 14:46Speaker 1: such a timely way. Not everybody that took the FBI
- 14:49Speaker 1: probe and everybody ran over there, they slick it and
- 14:54Speaker 1: puppy do do on the kitchen floor, and we sit
- 14:57Speaker 1: up here and we go for it. And right now,
- 14:59Speaker 1: get is what we're not discussing on either side of
- 15:03Speaker 1: the aisle. We're not talking about anything to help anybody. Well,
- 15:09Speaker 1: they think they are, you know, the Republicans deal with
- 15:11Speaker 1: the with the working on the healthcare bill. They think
- 15:14Speaker 1: they are that they have they have votes short because
- 15:21Speaker 1: what you don't understand is the ultra conservatives don't want
- 15:26Speaker 1: any part of Obamacare because they wanted to go back
- 15:30Speaker 1: the way it was. And even the moderate Conservatives know
- 15:35Speaker 1: that Obamacare has some good points in it, because they
- 15:39Speaker 1: can't go back to their constituents and say, hey, all
- 15:42Speaker 1: y'all with pre existing medical conditions, you in trouble. All
- 15:45Speaker 1: y'all is waiting on Medicare, We're gonna strip that because
- 15:48Speaker 1: what they want to do, the ultra conservative Republicans is stripped,
- 15:52Speaker 1: what they guy said on TV last night, strip all
- 15:55Speaker 1: the welfare from the Healthcare Act. That means giving anybody
- 16:00Speaker 1: anything that is dangerous. And that's why they can't get
- 16:05Speaker 1: it past. Because the moderate Republicans who voted on repeal
- 16:10Speaker 1: and replacing Obama Headcare also know that they can't do
- 16:14Speaker 1: because Donald Trump because of it. Right, remember when President
- 16:20Speaker 1: Obama met with Donald Trump and do you remember when
- 16:24Speaker 1: they had that long conversation and he asked Donald Trump
- 16:29Speaker 1: not to strip Obamacare because there were some good things there.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and he came out and said he would
- 16:36Speaker 1: look at it. Well, that's what they did, because you
- 16:39Speaker 1: can't strip Obamacare complete. You can call it a disaster
- 16:42Speaker 1: if you want to, but the truth of the matter
- 16:45Speaker 1: is it has some excellent components in it, and they
- 16:49Speaker 1: know they can't strip it from all of that. And
- 16:53Speaker 1: that's why they call in this new bill that they
- 16:54Speaker 1: have to decame that that they came past Obamacare Light
- 17:00Speaker 1: American Healthcare Bill. And they say Trump doesn't want his
- 17:03Speaker 1: name on it because in case it doesn't pass, he
- 17:06Speaker 1: doesn't want then it will be a failure. If it
- 17:09Speaker 1: doesn't pass, then trump Care didn't pass, you know. So anyway,
- 17:14Speaker 1: it's interesting to watch every day every day as people
- 17:23Speaker 1: it's not allowing any of the issues to be discussed
- 17:28Speaker 1: by either side. The Democrats, who so much supposed to
- 17:33Speaker 1: be for us, ain't talking about nothing for us, and
- 17:37Speaker 1: the Republicans ain't talking about nothing for us. All they're
- 17:42Speaker 1: talking about is Trump Trump, Trump, Trump Trump. Ain't nobody
- 17:47Speaker 1: talking about the people because there' stuff they're voting on now, folks,
- 17:50Speaker 1: we don't even get to vote on You don't get
- 17:53Speaker 1: to vote on the travel band. You know why because
- 17:55Speaker 1: that's foreign policy and Americans don't have a vote or
- 18:00Speaker 1: say so in foreign policy. Wow, you can't vote on
- 18:04Speaker 1: foreign policy. They didn't ask you all about this travel band.
- 18:08Speaker 1: They just enacted and then they came up with another
- 18:11Speaker 1: one and put that out. You can't say nothing. You
- 18:14Speaker 1: don't vote on that. I'm telling you, man. They pimping
- 18:19Speaker 1: us so cold right now. And because they're all these
- 18:23Speaker 1: distractions that we're sitting here and nothing is happening. Well,
- 18:31Speaker 1: this is his big thing, you know too, because his
- 18:34Speaker 1: credibility is in question now. So we'll see how it goes.
- 18:37Speaker 1: They're scheduled to vote today right there on it today. Yeah,
- 18:42Speaker 1: we'll see how it goes. We'll be watching. When we
- 18:45Speaker 1: come back from the break at thirty four after the hour,
- 18:48Speaker 1: we're gonna tell our early risers about the Sand and

- 19:48Speaker 1: We're gonna go out there and have a good time.
- 19:49Speaker 1: You know what I was gonna be a good time.
- 19:51Speaker 1: We ain't gonna teach you nothing. We ain't learn how
- 19:57Speaker 1: to jump up. Um, don't don't even bring the book,
- 20:03Speaker 1: he said, don't bring the book. Don't don't read it.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Don't read it on the beach. You read on the beach,
- 20:11Speaker 1: but don't ask me nothing about it. As you see
- 20:16Speaker 1: me walking down the beach, it'll be with a hat
- 20:19Speaker 1: on and a sick off. So go to Sand and
- 20:26Speaker 1: Soul Festival dot com for more information. After the song,
- 20:30Speaker 1: Steve's gonna tell us one of your layaweight stories. Come
- 20:41Speaker 1: on law story. One time I laid away a sweater.
- 20:49Speaker 1: The sweater was burgundy, had a shawl collar on it,
- 20:56Speaker 1: A big wide shawl collar and it came down. It
- 21:00Speaker 1: was burgning. The sweater was a hunted and fifteen dollars.
- 21:06Speaker 1: H got it from Man Talk. I laid he the
- 21:10Speaker 1: way the same time that Lavertnum was in that shopping
- 21:13Speaker 1: Gerald Mark and his brother Sean. They was all in
- 21:19Speaker 1: their shop just buying stuff. Man Talk Man Talking as
- 21:25Speaker 1: a store that was at Random Mall called Man Talk.
- 21:29Speaker 1: They had another one that Richmond Mall. They had to
- 21:32Speaker 1: fly stuff man, but that stuff was high as okay,
- 21:41Speaker 1: And so they in that shopping I knew him. We
- 21:45Speaker 1: was just cool with each other. I was in the
- 21:47Speaker 1: business about to get into it. They was already in it.
- 21:51Speaker 1: So they were speaking everything. Man, you're cool, bro. Man
- 21:54Speaker 1: ain't come seeing sometime, Yeah, okay, I will though, so
- 21:58Speaker 1: they but they shopping. I'm They're just up there buying stuff.
- 22:01Speaker 1: I'm just trying to lay this dawn sweater away. I'm
- 22:04Speaker 1: standing lying here in Gerald them and they're just paying
- 22:07Speaker 1: for stock. Three thousand dollars. I'm going three thousand dollars. Hell.
- 22:13Speaker 1: They sing it, and this is true, storts sweater away.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I put twenty five on it. Man Talk didn't have that,
- 22:28Speaker 1: you know, temple cent like Alberts did. I had to
- 22:31Speaker 1: argue with them, so I had to gonna give them
- 22:33Speaker 1: twenty five dollars down, let me tell you all. So
- 22:38Speaker 1: I went back to get the sweater. Have you ever
- 22:42Speaker 1: had something to lay away so long? When they go
- 22:45Speaker 1: get it and show it to you, you don't recognize.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I don't even know along that damn sweater was in
- 22:53Speaker 1: lay away. It wasn't lay away so long. Not only
- 22:56Speaker 1: did not recognize it, it was out of stop and
- 23:01Speaker 1: it was over a hundred dollars fifteen. I had made
- 23:05Speaker 1: like six payments on it. Man. I finally had that
- 23:08Speaker 1: last thing of dollars and I went in there and
- 23:09Speaker 1: put something on it. Man, I got that sweat out. Man,
- 23:11Speaker 1: I put that sweat on. I ain't even want it,
- 23:17Speaker 1: Like I didn't remember. The big shaw collars was out
- 23:21Speaker 1: of style. They was wearing them dog her collars. Then
- 23:24Speaker 1: I said, oh damn, messed around and had this thing
- 23:28Speaker 1: in here too. Damn low They wouldn't got that sweat
- 23:31Speaker 1: out with my head turned sideways like a little puppy,
- 23:36Speaker 1: didn't recognize what does what does that? That's your lay away?
- 23:42Speaker 1: I made the way that Wow, he said, here's the
- 23:45Speaker 1: description on your lapweight tag Burgundy. Shawn Collars, dude said,
- 23:51Speaker 1: try it. Only put it on. He said, yeah, they
- 23:53Speaker 1: don't wear that, no mo, but but it's nice. Yeah.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I had to go on and wad man. Yeah I
- 24:03Speaker 1: was back then. I tried to put it on under suit,
- 24:05Speaker 1: my suit with fool Man. Get ready for running that prank.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Back with the Nephew movie back at forty eight. After
- 24:15Speaker 1: you're listening. St Hey coming up, y'all. At the top
- 24:22Speaker 1: of the hour, y'all, there were here and we'll be
- 24:27Speaker 1: here with today's national news, and then we're gonna have
- 24:33Speaker 1: some developments with the White House. Ain't don't tell you
- 24:36Speaker 1: what the hell up that doing? You know who I

- 25:03Speaker 1: I would hire Sean spice ability. He has none none. Yeah,
- 25:09Speaker 1: they're talking about all these losing credibility, but anyway. All right,
- 25:14Speaker 1: he'd be handling that press. He could get a job
- 25:16Speaker 1: doing his job. No, he's doing his job. He is
- 25:20Speaker 1: holding the line regardless of a high sound. What they
- 25:25Speaker 1: told me to say? All right, we gotta update from
- 25:34Speaker 1: the White House. Plus there's some news out down. What
- 25:38Speaker 1: does this say, sirlely? Because I don't like doing stuff
- 25:40Speaker 1: like that? Well, no, this is okay. You could say this.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Plus to Rogi p Henson says the Cookie character Cookie Lion,
- 25:49Speaker 1: it's draining her. She's all in though. You know that's

- 26:37Speaker 1: we can we can use some ice over here there?
- 26:39Speaker 1: Who say, hey this launch man? I was trying to see, uh,
- 26:42Speaker 1: if y'all need somebody what kind of beer I should
- 26:44Speaker 1: I bring? But y'all want some beer? Man? Everybody over
- 26:47Speaker 1: here pretty much too, Bud wiser Man, who would you said?
- 26:49Speaker 1: This was? Again? This Lawrence. This, Lawrence, Man, I read
- 26:52Speaker 1: it to your wife at the supermarket and she was
- 26:55Speaker 1: telling me, y'all was you know, getting together? And she
- 26:57Speaker 1: told me to, you know, come on through if I
- 26:58Speaker 1: asked some time. So I didn't want to come through
- 27:00Speaker 1: there without nothings. You know what I'm saying. I want to,
- 27:02Speaker 1: you know, come through empty hand. They're looking disrespectful, man. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I'll feel it. Man. We just pretty much over there,
- 27:07Speaker 1: just kicking and watching the game. Man. You can you

- 28:31Speaker 1: I ran into him, man, so I just appreciated the invite.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I saw, I saw Glenda. Man, you know your girl
- 28:36Speaker 1: looking good? Man, I ain't seen it in a long time,
- 28:39Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying? Yeah, yo, man, what do

- 30:25Speaker 1: you mean you don't want She really remember I'm my
- 30:28Speaker 1: first dog, se man. I look, man, I like I said,
- 30:32Speaker 1: you bring your pump over to my house, and it's

- 30:45Speaker 1: the one invited me, and I'm showing up. And if
- 30:47Speaker 1: you start tripping with me, guess what, dog, it's only
- 30:50Speaker 1: in popping. One thing I ain't forgot is my first
- 30:53Speaker 1: love and my first love that invited me to the house.

- 33:35Speaker 1: South Carolina as they read it, Township Auditorium, Southern fried comedy.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Did I just did? I just tell you the train
- 33:41Speaker 1: stopping them down? Now? April the first April Fools Day,
- 33:44Speaker 1: Ain't we fools? We fools? Southern Fried Foods Township Auditorium.
- 33:51Speaker 1: That's April one. Uh, this Saturday? Uh, that's marchin the
- 33:55Speaker 1: filth is meat though with an Alabama. That's it. That's
- 33:57Speaker 1: all I wanted to say. You're listening to the Steve
- 34:00Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Okay, so here we go. Steve, you
- 34:06Speaker 1: were questioning this story. Empire returned last night. Okay. Everybody
- 34:11Speaker 1: was anxiously awaiting the return of Empire. Will it came
- 34:15Speaker 1: on last night and Taraji is saying that the character
- 34:19Speaker 1: Cookie drains her. She says, Cookie drains me. Taraji gives
- 34:23Speaker 1: Cookie lion life, of course she does on Empire, but
- 34:27Speaker 1: apparently the character doesn't do the same for her. With
- 34:30Speaker 1: the show entering its fourth season now, Taji was very
- 34:34Speaker 1: honest about Cookies future. Taji said, Cookie wears me out.
- 34:39Speaker 1: She drains me. She is emotionally all over the place.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Those writers, they just keep pushing my emotions with every episode.
- 34:48Speaker 1: By the eighteenth episode, I'm dead. I have to get
- 34:51Speaker 1: far away. I don't wear animal print cut my hair
- 34:55Speaker 1: into a bob. Remember at the at the Golden Globe,
- 34:59Speaker 1: she had one side of hair shade. Remember that. And
- 35:02Speaker 1: as the oscars, she says, I don't wear a we've
- 35:04Speaker 1: because I've got to get as far away from Cookie
- 35:07Speaker 1: as possible. When Taragi was asked when she would be
- 35:10Speaker 1: ready to leave Empire, she quickly responded, once it's syndicated,
- 35:15Speaker 1: she said, thank you, good night, added Taggi added what
- 35:22Speaker 1: she learned from the Ladies of Sex in the City.
- 35:24Speaker 1: You have to know when it's time to go and
- 35:26Speaker 1: get out on a high. That's right, she said, Cookie rights.
- 35:32Speaker 1: And after last night episode, Oh Lord, yes girl, I'm
- 35:40Speaker 1: just so happy it's back. You need to stop. Lord
- 35:51Speaker 1: have mercy right right. I don't know what to say
- 35:57Speaker 1: because you haven't seen anything. I'm just trying to be
- 36:01Speaker 1: in the conversation thought Cookie. Now, come on, man and Leonard.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I don't know what do you do? Lucius? Who is
- 36:19Speaker 1: leon What the name Lucius? Parents? Howard? Is Lucius? All right?
- 36:41Speaker 1: I want to go and play Lucia's brother. I can
- 36:46Speaker 1: see that what was for lion crazy Crayford because when
- 36:57Speaker 1: we're growing up and you should call us else whatsoever?
- 37:08Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. She's here, the talented ms and childrip.
- 37:16Speaker 1: Thank you Rayford. Okay, good morning everybody. This is entered
- 37:20Speaker 1: with the news. I can't wait. I'd love to see
- 37:22Speaker 1: Steve on that. I guess what today is a really
- 37:25Speaker 1: real sad day in Great Britain. Three people are dead,
- 37:28Speaker 1: including a police officer and the assailant, as a result
- 37:31Speaker 1: of a vehicle and knife attack near the British Parliament yesterday.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Police in London say the driver first mowed down pedestrians
- 37:37Speaker 1: on the Westminster Bridge before crashing into a railing He
- 37:40Speaker 1: got out approached the Parliament building, where he stabbed a
- 37:42Speaker 1: police officer there to death before being shot and killed
- 37:45Speaker 1: by others. Twenty nine people have been injured hospitalized. Prime
- 37:49Speaker 1: Minister Theresa May intends to get to the bottom of it.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Chaired a meeting of the government's Emergency Committee COBRA following
- 37:55Speaker 1: the stick and depraved terrorist attack on the streets of
- 37:59Speaker 1: our capital. The full details of exactly what happened are
- 38:03Speaker 1: still emerging, but authorities say they've now arrested eight people.
- 38:06Speaker 1: They've labeled it a terrorist attack, as you just heard
- 38:09Speaker 1: the Prime Minister say. Meanwhile, in this country a white U. S.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Army veteran from Baltimore, bent on making a racist attack,
- 38:15Speaker 1: took a bus to New York City and randomly picked
- 38:18Speaker 1: out a black man who was doing nothing but collecting
- 38:20Speaker 1: bottles on the street and killed him with a sword,
- 38:23Speaker 1: a twenty one in sword. The murderer, James Harris Jackson,
- 38:27Speaker 1: turned himself and a time into a Time Square police
- 38:29Speaker 1: station early Wednesday, about twenty five hours after Timothy Kaufman
- 38:33Speaker 1: staggered into a police precinct bleeding to death. He laid
- 38:36Speaker 1: and died. This the white man said, I'm the person
- 38:39Speaker 1: you're looking for. Police say. The reason that he says
- 38:42Speaker 1: he picked New York was because as the media capital
- 38:44Speaker 1: of the world and he wants to make a statement.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Today's the day the Republicans vote on their Obamacare repeal bill.
- 38:51Speaker 1: The President spent a lot of time trying to line
- 38:53Speaker 1: up votes for it, since the Democrats are not expected
- 38:55Speaker 1: to okay, and several Republicans say they don't like it either.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Former Vice President Joe Biden issue this warning about the bill.
- 39:01Speaker 1: We're talking about eliminating close to a trillion dollars in
- 39:07Speaker 1: benefits to go to people to be able to meet
- 39:10Speaker 1: the commitment we made that healthcare is are right, and
- 39:13Speaker 1: we're transferring all of that to the wealthare That's what
- 39:16Speaker 1: this is all about. Now. Failure to pass this measure
- 39:19Speaker 1: would be seen as a major defeat for President Trump.
- 39:21Speaker 1: By the way, today also happens to be the seventh
- 39:23Speaker 1: anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. The head
- 39:27Speaker 1: of the House Intelligence Committee now says information about President
- 39:30Speaker 1: Trump and his staffers may have been picked up by
- 39:32Speaker 1: US intelligence agencies who were conducting legally sanctioned surveillance of
- 39:36Speaker 1: a criminal Russian enterprise three fours below the Trump penthouse
- 39:40Speaker 1: in the Trump Building and ordered by the courts years
- 39:43Speaker 1: before Trump even ran for president. The committee chair, Republican
- 39:46Speaker 1: Devon Junia has claims that information about some Trump associates
- 39:49Speaker 1: was picked up widely circulated throughout the intelligence community, even
- 39:53Speaker 1: though they were not targets of the foreign intelligence gathering
- 39:55Speaker 1: and even though the info was of little value intelligence wise.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Democrats smell or rat or a bend over back whatever.
- 40:01Speaker 1: To save face, they're calling for a completely independent investigation
- 40:05Speaker 1: because this is much different than what the president was
- 40:07Speaker 1: claiming that President Obama intentionally ordered surveillance. Today, cudly Kitten
- 40:11Speaker 1: Day and National Puppy Day, A little poopy. Now back
- 40:17Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, thank you, miss Anne.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Our question of the week this week. It's a good one.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Have you ever texted someone the wrong message or didn't
- 40:28Speaker 1: hang up the phone and that person heard something you
- 40:31Speaker 1: really didn't want them to hear? I call us and
- 40:34Speaker 1: tell us all about it? Eight seven seven nine, Steve,
- 40:38Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 40:48Speaker 1: at eighteen after the hour. The Butterfly is up next
- 40:51Speaker 1: with the Butterfly Blog. Or, as Steve has been asking
- 40:55Speaker 1: all week, will it be Oatmeal done? They're done, and
- 40:59Speaker 1: we gonna find out to date if Eugene is as
- 41:04Speaker 1: draining on tummy as Cookie is on too rock. That's
- 41:12Speaker 1: the question of the day. Good morning, Stephen and Shirley
- 41:24Speaker 1: Carler Junior. Good money to all of you all. Hey,
- 41:27Speaker 1: what's up? What's up? I'm moping to what's yeah? Beautiful color?
- 41:38Speaker 1: What's hood? Hey? Old Meal? What's up? What's up? That
- 41:45Speaker 1: we were doing a story earlier that the character Cookie
- 41:48Speaker 1: to Roger pres and say it's draining on her. Have
- 41:51Speaker 1: you heard anything about any of y'all draining on tummy.
- 41:56Speaker 1: I don't eat the real I don't even food. What
- 41:59Speaker 1: time the time to do? What you do or whatever?
- 42:01Speaker 1: I stay? I do white. Uh so it's for draining somebody.
- 42:05Speaker 1: I know. I ain't the wood. You know what I'm saying.
- 42:07Speaker 1: I stayed completely to the to the back of the brain.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Do what I do? You know you know whereverybody else
- 42:14Speaker 1: do theything? I don't get it. Nobody to wait as
- 42:17Speaker 1: I go put you true be told though on the
- 42:21Speaker 1: reel the you're somebody's a colling fleet. That's how I'm saying.
- 42:26Speaker 1: I ain't, but you're somebody. There's a cooning fleek. What
- 42:33Speaker 1: are you saying? What are you saying? Are you trying
- 42:36Speaker 1: to say I'm a conflict to him? I would he

- 46:46Speaker 1: our question of the week. Have you ever texted someone
- 46:49Speaker 1: the wrong message or didn't hang up the phone and
- 46:51Speaker 1: that person heard something you didn't want them to hear? Okay, Steve,
- 46:55Speaker 1: there's this lady out of Chicago. Her name, her name
- 46:58Speaker 1: is Carol. She couldn't hold on, but we did record
- 47:00Speaker 1: her answer to today's question. Take a listen to this.
- 47:04Speaker 1: I have a co worker who talked about our boss
- 47:06Speaker 1: like a dog, called her a be just this week
- 47:10Speaker 1: while we wear at Hamilton's play at the theater, talked
- 47:13Speaker 1: about her being a be sat Be white bee, all that,
- 47:17Speaker 1: and then accidentally send her to text message directly. So
- 47:22Speaker 1: now it's trying to fire. It's that crazy. The fire
- 47:28Speaker 1: now sent the text to the lady. Yeah, you go,
- 47:35Speaker 1: you go, you go, you go, you out, it ain't
- 47:41Speaker 1: it ain't no fixing that No, she called She called

- 47:58Speaker 1: the boss? But hi though, oh man? Something she didn't
- 48:09Speaker 1: sleep last night at all? Uh yeah, she's been just

- 48:28Speaker 1: thank you, Carol, Carol, Carol had to get that one out.
- 48:30Speaker 1: She couldn't stay but she was like, let me, but
- 48:34Speaker 1: thank you. That tell your boss about your bass? Right? Boy?
- 48:38Speaker 1: Do you know she's staring at that phone all night
- 48:41Speaker 1: long with her hand in her head trying to figure
- 48:43Speaker 1: out how to hell she can? But you know what
- 48:49Speaker 1: people have done that have done that. You know, that's
- 48:51Speaker 1: like when you're talking about somebody but then you text
- 48:53Speaker 1: that person. Oh yes, yes, that's just that you're talking
- 48:57Speaker 1: about that's on your mind, and that's sleep what she did?
- 49:01Speaker 1: H God, have you ever done that? Steve Tommy one
- 49:07Speaker 1: time you did what? Trying to text cat and I
- 49:15Speaker 1: called Tommy a stupid blank blank and then I sent

- 49:23Speaker 1: it got it, I was really comfortable. You always comfortable
- 49:31Speaker 1: as you do something. Yeah, I called Tommy stupid blank blank,
- 49:36Speaker 1: and then I sent it to him. Then I realized
- 49:39Speaker 1: you sent it to the group. Yeah, but it's true
- 49:42Speaker 1: though everybody? Yeah, why I got to be shamed about
- 49:46Speaker 1: the truth. And then I asked him, though, did you
- 49:51Speaker 1: you do know this is me? You sent this to
- 49:56Speaker 1: What did he say? Did you te it? Took ten
- 50:00Speaker 1: ten minutes to respond, Yeah, I went back through that
- 50:05Speaker 1: to check it. What it was the group text. I
- 50:08Speaker 1: didn't know that everybody know he was on the group Well,
- 50:14Speaker 1: I didn't know I was touched. Since I was talking
- 50:17Speaker 1: about him, I ain't think it would send it to him.
- 50:19Speaker 1: That's why I made group texting. Y'all right, So you're
- 50:28Speaker 1: a logic. You were talking to him about him. He
- 50:31Speaker 1: ain't gonna get it. Yeah, cat, but kill But you
- 50:40Speaker 1: feel so bad when you do that. I didn't really

- 58:28Speaker 1: Here comes the folks. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 58:31Speaker 1: Morning Shows. You guys, hold on, Tank Strawberry letter three.
- 58:41Speaker 1: This subject right here, younger man. Okay, Hello, Steve Harvey
- 58:46Speaker 1: Morning Show boy. Do I have a dilemma for you.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I meet this man whom I believe is the man
- 58:52Speaker 1: of my dreams. I have strong feelings for him. I
- 58:56Speaker 1: can't stop thinking about him or wanting to be with him.
- 58:59Speaker 1: There is and no sexual involvement as of yet. The
- 59:03Speaker 1: dilemma is I'm married and older than him, and he
- 59:09Speaker 1: doesn't know how old I am. He doesn't know I'm
- 59:13Speaker 1: married and have children. I have only one child left
- 59:16Speaker 1: at home with me. It's about a sixteen year difference
- 59:19Speaker 1: between our ages. I'm scared to tell him my age
- 59:23Speaker 1: because it might run him away. I don't look my age.
- 59:27Speaker 1: What I really do want is to get a divorce
- 59:30Speaker 1: from my husband, but I don't know what to do
- 59:32Speaker 1: about the younger man. I can get the divorce, but
- 59:35Speaker 1: how do I tell the younger man everything without losing him? Steve,
- 59:39Speaker 1: don't just tell me to tell him straight out, because
- 59:42Speaker 1: it doesn't work that way, and you know it. I
- 59:45Speaker 1: need instructions and steps. I want to be honest, help
- 59:50Speaker 1: me do this the right way? Are you crazy? I mean,
- 59:57Speaker 1: do you really hear how ridiculous this l her sound? Yeah?
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I mean you got to give us something to work with. Here.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Is your husband abusive? Does he not love you anymore?
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: Does he stay out all night? I mean, what is
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: the reason you want to break your marriage vows to
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: this man? What about your commitment to him that you
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: made under God? I mean, you sound very mature to me,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: this young dream man of yours. You're already starting off
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: lying to him, and really you could be putting his
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: life in jeopardy, you know, if your husband finds out
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: about him. I just think this letter is crazy and
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: you really need to get yourself together. If you want
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: to be honest, why don't you start at home with
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: your husband? Why don't you start there? Steve, Wow, it's
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: it's so much. You absolutely correct sally in what you said.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: But this letter is so deep. Man, boy, do I
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: have a dilemma for you? I met this man who
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I believe is a man of my dreams? Or do
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: you really? Oh? Do you really you met a man?
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Why are you're married who you have not told any
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: of the truth about yourself, and it's the man of
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: your dreams. Um if he knew everything there was to
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: know about you, do you think you would be the
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: woman of his dreams? So you know in this letter
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: you're saying you've got strong feeling I can't stop thinking
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: about wanting to be with him. There's been no sexual
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: involvement as of yet. The dilemma is I'm married. This
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: is where I think you're lying. This is where I
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: really think you're lying. You can't stop thinking about him
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: or wanting to be with him, period. There has been
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: no sexual involvement as of yet. Okay, then what what was? What? What?
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I don't understand the prior line. You can't stop thinking
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: about him or wanting to be with him. When you
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: say I want to be with him, that means we're
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: growing sexual So okay, let's say you have it. Let's
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: just trust that you're telling the truth. So far. The
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: dilemma is I'm married and older than he, and he
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: doesn't know how old I am. He doesn't know I'm
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: married and have children. I have only one child left
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: at home, so how many is out there that ain't
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: at home? It's about a sixteen year difference between our ages.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: I'm scared to tell him my age because it might
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: run him away. I don't look my age. What I
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: really want to do is get a divorcee. Lady, are
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: you wait a minute? Hold on, so let me get
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: this right. You're deceiving this man. Now you want me
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: to tell you how to complete it because you're saying
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: and but how do I know I tell a young
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: man everything without losing as Steve, don't just tell him
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to tell him straight out, because you know it don't
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: work that way. Yeah, if you was a man, it
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: wouldn't work that way. See see if you as a man.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: See the way we do it is we get you
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: all emotionally involved. Then when you find out all this
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: stuff about we're being married and we got kids, then
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: we let you figure it out and deal with it.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: But we already got you where we want you. That's
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: how men do it. So now you want to do
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: it like men do it. Okay, go ahead and see
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: how much hell you're gonna wind up in your life
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: because when your husband find out, I can't even tell
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: you that that's gonna get passed out around. Now, do
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: you understand me? Starting with your little bit of young
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: friend called big fella that you're married too. When he
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: find out somebody been snapping off his cookie right there,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: big fella gonna be real grimmy about his alright, really
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: really mad. No hold on, I'm gonna tell you the
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: rest of it when I come back. I'm gonna tell
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: you really what's happening here? But did you really want
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: to do like a man? Do? But you're gonna be
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: a woman? The name of the book is act like
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: a lady, think like a man, not not not be
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: a lady, Try to act like a man. Steve, Well,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: what part two? Coming up? For it? From them? Their time?
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: This letter right here, this woman, you've got to deliverament
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: this man who she believes is a man of a dream,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: of strong feelings for I can't stop think about him.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I wanted to be with him. There's been no sexual
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: involvement as a year. Delima is I'm married at I'm
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: older than he and he doesn't know how old I am.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: He doesn't even know I'm married and I have children,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: only have one child left at home with me. It's
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: about a sixteen year difference between our ages. I'm scared
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: to tell him my age because it might run him away.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: I don't look my age. But what I really want
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: to do is get a divorce from my husband. But
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I don't know what to do about the younger man.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: I can't I can get the divorce, but how do
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I tell the younger man everything about losing Steve. Don't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: just tell me to tell him straight out, because it
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: doesn't work that way, and you know it. I need
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: instructions and steps. I want to be honest, Help me
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: do this the right way. Well, like I said, you're
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: asking me. You've lied to this man. Now you're asking
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: me how to do it, and I've told you. How
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: men do it is very simple. We don't tell you
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: that we're married and we have kids. We get you
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: all involved, and then as you uncover the facts, we
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: don't give it. Then we just let you figure it
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: out how you're gonna deal with yourself emotionally, how erupt
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: you feel, how rupture you feel on the inside, and
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: let you figure out how you're gonna keep seeing me
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: and deal with the fact that I'm married and I
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: have kids. That's how men do it, now, that's how
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you want to be because that's exactly what you're doing.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Right now, and I don't really know what to tell yourself.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: A couple of other things. The name of my book
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: is act like a lady, Think like a man. If
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: you want to act like a lady and act like
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: a man at the same time, you play a very
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: dangerous game. Because see, once we figure out that that's
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: the game you're playing, that is the game that we
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: specialize in bull crap. If you want to bullcrap somebody,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: then you start playing that game with a man and
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: see how far you get with it, because that's what
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: we do. You've heard old streets slaying game, recognized game.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Once we see that that's what we're doing, now, oh
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: that's what we're doing, then game on. And we would
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: be so emotionally unattached to you. Which leads me to
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: the fact that no where in this letter do you
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: state how he feels about you. It's just all how
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: you feel about him. So now let me ask you something.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: You're gonna give up your marriage on a maybe that
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: seemingly you've created in your mind he's the man of
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: your dreams? Has he ever told you you were the
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: woman of his dreams? This needs to match up to
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: make sense. You're gonna going in and divorce your husband
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: and leave your family? Are you nuts? Oh? For what?
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: And tell us man how old you are? He might
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: not want to be dating his mama. Hell you let
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: the man figure it out. If ladies, if a man
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: was lying to you like this, if a man was
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: lying to you like this, you know goodes hell well,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: how every last one of you would feel seeing you
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: he way on, He ain't telling you, age, ain't telling you,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: a man ain't telling you he got kids? How would
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: you feel when you found out? Let's just reverse that.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: So now you want me to tell you how to
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: play this boy? When I have dedicated my last book
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: on helen women how not to get played, you want
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: me to tell you how to play this boy? You
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: wrote the wrong letter, all right. Today's strawberry letter is

- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I want to get awards too? I could do Jane
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: Jane that they'd be like, wow, she was deep in character.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: I don't know what she started, Gene Gene. Wait, speaking
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of acting, were happy about Empire? Are we sad about Empire?
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: What is going on? Struggle? Yeah? It did you last night? Um?
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: It was okay. First of all, the thirsty dude, is

- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Many morning, nephew, morning balls man was at all none much? Hey?
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I had had a moment, man, I had one of them,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: like you excel. If I didn't have mine in the car,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: I had mine on my head. I was talking to
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: one of my girls and we were arguing it up
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: and I threw my phone down and I thought I'd
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: hit my button on the hood thing and thought I
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: cut it out everything, and I didn't. Okay, but you
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: said you had it on your head. You're talking about like, okay, yeah,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: he don't tell the story. You don't ran up in
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: the one of them storyteller my head the same thing
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: happened to you time me sep and have on my head.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: So so I threw it on the bed. I thought
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I turned it off, and she thought I cast out,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: but I didn't. So then one I did, I said no,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I said he was over head all of the only
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: one blue tooth boy. You know what I'm saying this tree.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: So then that that have winded right right. So next
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: summer I had another bluetooth, but this here was a
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: dark bluetooth that was and I was talking and it
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: was on my mouth this time because it was on
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: my head, and I looked at that there I know.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: I said hello, and she said that you don't want
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: to because me I'll laughed. Something I said, bought in
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: black tooth something else. Huh, I said, yeah, yeah, they will, man,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: they will ignat asked for fine commonality with each other. Don'tice,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I keep referencing timing. You don't talk nobody else. I
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: got you, player, I understand what you went through. Man,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: keep your head up. You still got your girl. No, no,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: we broke up that Sunday. No, you got your girl.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: We brought up Sunday. Don't we're together no more? I
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: could no after that, not after that bluetube and then
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: we're good. Yeah, yeah, I understand. You don't use the bluetooth,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: now do you? Yeah, you use the bluetooth. Now you
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: you go, you go back to use the bluetooth, or
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: you stay it off of I use it, but I
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: try to stay. I don't love it. He explain again. Man,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: I said, I tell you, I'm usually take my Bluetooth
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: off when I'm talking a woman. Yeah, there you go, bro,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: you learn how to get down. You're good, man, you're good.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: We appreciate your color. But let me let you all
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: the phone man for my own good time. Crazy to
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: you and you wanted to layoff nextew man because you
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: were on here mort yeah, thank you. Tell me what
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: to do, you little days. Get on your bluetooth. I

- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I read the baby, how you're in the building a
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: baby straight up about us to tell you a love
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: to your baby, straight about the dad and so clear. Baby,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: I know you're from tell us. I already was all right.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Is that it? D Yeah, that's it, Augle Steve. I've
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: been listening to you, but what I'm your store? Man.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: I love you. You're the best thing that ever happened
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to me. Because every time I listen to you of
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: the morning, I get coaches when you first came, when
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: you first come on, and I have a blessed day
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: every day when I come on in the morning. Look Hill,
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: when I come on in the morning, I'm on like
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: a blue juice and I'm connected to your head. That's
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: why you're having a blessed day, because I'm connecting you.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Don't take me off throw don't dad start cousin now,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: thank you. D ain't trying to see your next song.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: It's called the man you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Morning Show. It's that time, getting ready, getting ready. Our
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: girl is here, call it with reality. All right, nephew,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: thank you. Here we go love and hip hop Atlanta.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Who right, it's just too much? Okay. Kirk and Rashida,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: you know they're married, and you know last time we
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: talked about this, Kirk, you know he has a secret baby.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: He cheated on his wife, allegedly has a secret baby. Well, well, well,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Mr Kirk admitted to cheating on his wife Rashida God
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: why admitted? Yeah, he had to admit to it because
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: Carly read her friend, Rashida's friend. She told her about
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: the baby. She told her told her about the girl.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: There was evidence of text messages and with videos allegedly
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: of him holding the baby. So Carly told Rashida. So
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Rashida asked her husband, Kirk, what happened, and so he
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: admitted to cheating on his wife. He had to come
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: clean to Rashida about having sex with Jasmine and that
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: he could be the father of her child. When Rashida
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: asked her husband to further explain, he said he was
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Although he was sexually involved with Jasmine, they were never
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: in a relationship. It was a very emotional scene. That better,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: But it's not official that he's the dad yet, right,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: not officially, not just landing a video him holding the baby. Yeah,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: it was a lot, y'all. So this was a very
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: emotional scene with Rashida. You can imagine this woman, this wife,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: talking to her husband about it. Take a listen. So
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: you need to tell me something to make me not
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: want to strangle even I mean, I don't want to
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: say it's alive, but yeah, I did live. Yeah, I
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: do know the girl. What's up with you on some
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: just really? Is it a situation where I might have
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: up in a sense? Yes? Did I look around? Yes?
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I wasn't in a relationship. They ain't been around on
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: our family, that ain't been around our kids all. That
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: is all. She lived in the building. Did you know that? Yes?
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: I did. Did you put her in the building? I didn't.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: Now you didn't sat here and told this big gass
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: lie and then tipped it off with an old, weak ass,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: lame mask confession. You can't even keep it a thousand
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: with it. And on top of all that, I'm so
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: damn mad at you right now that I hadn't even
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: focused on the fact that this is claiming she got
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: a baby. Boy, why would you do that? You wasn't
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: thinking about me, You wasn't thinking about Carter. You wasn't
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: thinking about how I love my family. But you don't.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: You couldn't do it the jump. You couldn't. I might
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: not be perfect, but I'm just a touch dripp That's
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: what I get. That's what I get from my friends.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: What you're gonna do? I get your mother and getting
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: they were talking too much and not fighting enough. She's
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: trying to throw something. Adam, that was confession week. Yeah,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: he sounded like he was laughing. You can't start a
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: confession with um going to lie on that one. I'm
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: sorry he's busted. He can't get a video or him
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: holding the f I didn't held some babies before then,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: wasn't my babies? Somebody? Have you held the baby of
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: a woman who said this is your baby? Come on,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: I wouldn't never do that. I wouldn't know what you
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: would have to lie? Why does she say it's my baby?
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I'm okay, let me ask you a question. The girl
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: that's got the baby is a striple yo. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: what You're fine? You're fine? You think you ain't have
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: you ain't have a rapper? His wife is beautiful to
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: what she did? I mean no, I mean rapper like
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: cover up raincoat? You didn't wear a raincoat? Right? Behavior
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: the striple? What I'm trying to understand? What? Okay, thank
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: you make some sense of this. Don't here. Let Kirk
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: fall off said, Kirk go this is It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous.
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: I hate his response to it. I hate sick at him.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: What response? It ain't weak? It well, moving on, we
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: sick of Kirk wra She had kicked him at the
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: house on the show, and Stevie j says that he
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: is unsure if he is the father of Jocelyn's child,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: so he's taken a DNA test to get to the
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: bottom of the truth. Anybody on this show who the
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: children below knows all these kids gonna all grow up
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: not knowing. Damn. I mean, you're being funny, but it's
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: really sad. No, really, which one of these you want
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: to be your daddy? Joscelyn stole a pair of Stevie's
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: underwear to try to get a DNA sample for the
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: paternity test. What but yeah, but she put him in
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: a plastic bag, right, Carlin. And then yeah, she went
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: to a DNA collector. She yeah, she went to the
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: DNA collector. Listen to what the DNA collector told her
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: about trying to do this still his underwear and to
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: get DNA paternity tests. Take a listen is the issue?
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: First of all, it wasn't a ziploc bag. It actually
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: suffocates those DNAs. Are you kidding me? I've watched show
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: where Everything comes they put everything in a zimple. I'm
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: telling you, I've had a lot of clients have the
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: same exact issue and it doesn't come back positive. It
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: comes back no percentage, no nothing. They need to change
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: it up on TV this But are you going to
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: use this for personal knowledge or for court? A little
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: bit about yeah, we need him in court, Okay, if
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: you need it in court, this the way you brought
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: it to me. The lab might see it as something
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: tampered with if it's not something that I am personally collected,
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: freaking kidding me? Tempered? What would I temper with the drought?
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: And how could she His DNA is going to be
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: on here, and I believe you, But if you want
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: to use his purport, you have to make sure that
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: he voluntarily supplies his DNA by coming to me. Good chap,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: sh wow so later, good job. Yeah, why would you
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: have to do that to prove that the father your
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: child is him? If you ain't slept with nobody but him.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: She wants him to know that. You know that Joscelyn
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: slick way of saying, yeah, I got the paternity tests
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: and you are the father. She wants I got the
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: draw tepid day. She's not questioning it. He is, Steve
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: is Yeah, so she wants to go bam, you know,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: proof in your faces? So crazy? I think, God, I
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: ain't never had to do that here, Lord, all right,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: we gotta go. Um, that was something. All right, we
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: gotta go and we come back. Um. Our girl for
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: a TV personality Egypt Sharad will be here. She's gonna
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: tell us about flipping virgins. That's her TV show and
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: h G TV. We'll be back. You're listening to show,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: all right? Up next she is waiting in the wings
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Egypt Charade Flipping virgins. Will talk to her next. I
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: want to learn how to flip these virgins? How're they
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: doing that? Everybody get flipped? Eventually? Tell me, yes, what
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: she's talking about houses. Okay, just first time house flipping.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Just so you'll know this first time. Yeah, flipping virgins
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: the first time. Let's say that the show's father to
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: tell who's wrong? All right, come on, Mary, giving it
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: to the people. Okay, So let's switch gears. Last break,
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: we did enough talking about loving hip hop Atlanta boy
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: was off the chain. So now let's switch gears. Our girl,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: TV personality and property expert. We love her, Egypt Sharad.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: She is on the line to tell us about yes,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: her show. We love her shop, Yes, flipping virgins. Hey, Egypt,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: what's going on? Girl? Can you feel me giving you
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: all a hug through the phone? Absolutely as we're hugging
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: you right back through the radio. Good morning to you.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Good morning, God is good. I'm telling you girl, Yes,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: all the time, Agya. Tell everybody about Flipping virgins because
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: a lot of people they don't know what the show
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: is about. It's about the first time house flippers, and
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: tell them what you do. Yes, we're not flipping anybody's baby,
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: so get your mind on the go. Flipping Houses and
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: the show premier Saturday, April one, eleven am. Is a
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: long time coming, but essentially It's a graduation from my
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: old show that ran for sixteen seasons, Property Virgins. This time,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: instead of working the first time and homebuyers, I'm working
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: with first time investors, showing them the ins and outs
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: of flipping houses so they don't lose their shirts. Because
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: you know what, there's a lot of flipping shows on TV,
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: but they don't show you the good, the bad, and
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: the ugly of the flipping world. And that means that
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: you know, there's an opportunity lose money, just as much
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: as there is to game money if you don't make
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: the right decisions. And so that's what I'm doing, walking
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: them through it, and you get to see the emotional
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: roller coaster age of you know, we love you on
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: this show. We're so happy for you, We're so proud
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: of you. First of all, I mean just yeah, because
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: we all watch HGTV, we all have homes, we all
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: you know, we just love it. We love it, and
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: we love you. You've been named America's most beloved real
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: estate agent. Congratulations. You know what, you guys know me
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: from twenty years in radio, right, So oh yes, for
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: this graduation of my career, I can only say it's
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: an honor. You know, I don't take that lightly. I
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: am grateful. I stay grateful. What did they say? It's
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: your talent that will get you there, but it's your
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: character that will keep you. So I'm just letting God
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: god my steps and use me in whatever way he will.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: And so I appreciate that honor. So I mean really
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: very much deserved least so though, I mean really, because
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: you're just good at what you do. You sell houses,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: you tell people how to keep them, how to flip them,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: how to do all this stuff. You deserve it. So, uh,
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: we're happy to know you, and we're proud of you.
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: Seriously receive that, I do. Sure. You know, a girl,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: you've always shown me love you and Carla um just
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: from day one, So we need more of that in
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: the world, don't you think, just just as loving each other.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: The sisterhood is alive and well for sure it is
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: for sure. So listen, let me ask eachyp a question, Shirley,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: because you know what, I'm so interested in doing this
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: flipping houses, and what is what can you say, Egypt?
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: You know, maybe you can drop a trick of the trade,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: a jewel to everyone if you're interested in doing this
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: and buying properties, investment properties, and flipping the house. What
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: do you think or what have you seen? Is the
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: most common mistake? Well, well, the most common mistake is
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: people watch television shows and then say I can do
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: it too, and run because that's what I've been doing. Yeah,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: run out by the ugliest house they can find, and
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: then they get the middle of the project and say, wow,
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: flipping is not easy. So the best thing that you
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: can do is learn the formula what real investors use
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: as a gage to gauge to determine if a house
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: is definitely of the right property to flip. And I
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: use something called the air V formula, where I'm looking
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: at what the acquisition is, how much I'm putting in,
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: how much I'm going to have to spend to renovate,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: and then what is the after rental value or the
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: a r V. And it's got to be at least
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: the third or third and the third to make sense.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: You heard it, Ladies and gentlemen from America's most beloved
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: real estate agent, Egypt Gerard. Watch her show. It's called
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: Flipping Virgins. It premieres Saturday, April one at eleven am
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: Eastern time. And we're so again. We're so happy for you, Egypt,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: and we'll be watching as always. Girl, I love you. Guys.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: You have a wonderful day, making a great day, folks.
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: Thank you. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: All right, we're back. Let's get to these back to
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: back jams. Come on, Captain gool coming up. We got

- 1:33:22Speaker 1: up next, We got time for just one more thing
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: and then we out of here. Y'all. We're gonna tell
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: you what can keep a couple to stay together. Yeah,
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: you're gonna love this, Steve. You don't do nothing. Call
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: it reported in the update. Yes, a secret baby, None
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: of that works. Still your husband's DNA underwear. We'll be back. Wrong,
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: All right, here we go. It says the couple that
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: laughs together stays together. All right. If you want to know, um,
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: if you and your significant other, if you'll go the distance,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: here's how you find out. This is According to a
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: dating expert, it all comes down to one thing, a

- 1:35:58Speaker 1: help you out. Laugh Yeah, yeah, Junior, Yeah, it's true,
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: it's true. Ain't true. I don't think so, because I
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: didn't laugh with some women who left me the next day.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: I haven't been to this situation, I'd have been put out,
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: laughing at you, not with you. All right, nephew, what
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: do you think? No, I got no comment. I don't
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: want of fact. Somebody listening right now, I don't want
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: to talk about it. Your wife listening to the show.
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: The point of the of the story is that you
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: have a shared sense of humor. Come on, big wide,
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: back level, come on, man back w black guys, He said,
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: a shared sense of humor is the number one sign
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: a relationship will share it. I'm having a baby with
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: another girl. That's nothing funny at all. What happened to Kirk,
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: shame thing happened to me. So you guys, you guys
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: don't believe this. You guys are definitely I got praternity.
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: So for all of gave come on when you get
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: this survey from This is according to the dating expert
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: James Price. He's known as the dating Gurro. Well, I
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: mean I think it's to it, yeah, he says, any
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: arguments can have to laugh. Yeah, you can. You can
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: diffuse any argument. I've done it many times with Madre
