- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know, y'all a suit on the don giving them
- 0:13Speaker 1: more like the milling bus things and it's y'all good
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve listening together for Stu. I don't joy. You gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you, you gotta turn to turn out, got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out. Then turn the water to the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby now, uh huh, I shore
- 2:02Speaker 1: will good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice,
- 2:05Speaker 1: Come on dig me now? Wanting only Steve Harvey got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show. Ain't God been good to me? But
- 2:13Speaker 1: then again, ain't he been good to you too? Though?
- 2:15Speaker 1: I mean, really, man, think of all the blessings God
- 2:18Speaker 1: has given you, you know what. That's a good news today, though, y'all,
- 2:23Speaker 1: in the face of all the world being the way
- 2:26Speaker 1: it is, the evilness that's out there, it just it
- 2:29Speaker 1: just seems like that's all that's on the news sometimes,
- 2:31Speaker 1: you know, we got we got news of parents not
- 2:34Speaker 1: really standing up being parents. We got news stories of
- 2:37Speaker 1: children turning on their parents. You got, you got everything,
- 2:41Speaker 1: the economy, you got places you thought you should be beautiful,
- 2:45Speaker 1: places to go. Now they got travel alerts. It's just
- 2:48Speaker 1: it's all over. It's it's all over. But the good
- 2:51Speaker 1: news is that's something that you can have in this
- 2:57Speaker 1: relationship with God that gives you a way to deal
- 3:02Speaker 1: with it all. And I'm not saying that it'll protect
- 3:06Speaker 1: you from every single thing out that is happening, because
- 3:09Speaker 1: some things are going to happen to you. You're going
- 3:12Speaker 1: to be in an accident from time to time. You're
- 3:15Speaker 1: going to make a mistake and fall down from time
- 3:18Speaker 1: to time. But man, wouldn't it be incredible to you
- 3:21Speaker 1: for you if you understood that you had some insurance
- 3:25Speaker 1: in all of this that no matter what happened to you,
- 3:29Speaker 1: you know you will cover it. You know, look, insurance
- 3:32Speaker 1: companies as good as they are, you know, like our
- 3:34Speaker 1: friends that stay farm or any other insurance company, you
- 3:38Speaker 1: know they do they do some amazing things. Insurance is
- 3:41Speaker 1: a really really good thing to happen in the event
- 3:43Speaker 1: that something happens to you. You know, you may not
- 3:46Speaker 1: want to pay the premium, but guess what in the
- 3:48Speaker 1: event that something happens to you, that insurance is absolutely critical. Well,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but guess what they cover certain things. You could get
- 3:57Speaker 1: life insurance, you can get auto insurance, you can get
- 4:01Speaker 1: accident insurance, you can get health insurance. There is nothing
- 4:06Speaker 1: that you can buy to safeguard you against life's decisions.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You know, if you make a mistake, if you cheat,
- 4:17Speaker 1: if you lie, if you if you fall down and
- 4:21Speaker 1: you can't seem to get it together, and you make
- 4:24Speaker 1: a crazy decision about how you're gonna go about securing
- 4:28Speaker 1: an income, that there are there are no policies you
- 4:31Speaker 1: can buy for that. You can't buy a policy if
- 4:35Speaker 1: you stop being the man you're supposed to be, and
- 4:39Speaker 1: and and and give up on your children. You can't
- 4:41Speaker 1: buy a policy if something happens as a mother and
- 4:45Speaker 1: all of a sudden you're not the mother you're supposed
- 4:47Speaker 1: to be. But there is some insurance coverage out there
- 4:51Speaker 1: for you. And that relationship that you form with God,
- 4:56Speaker 1: that friendship that you form with him, that that a
- 5:00Speaker 1: science that you that that partnership, that that prayer that
- 5:04Speaker 1: you put in all the time, there is an insurance
- 5:08Speaker 1: policy that you have taken out when you form a
- 5:12Speaker 1: relationship with your heavenly father, when you form a friendship,
- 5:16Speaker 1: when you form a bond that protects you, that protects
- 5:21Speaker 1: you when these things happen. In the event that they happen.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Now here's a great thing about prayer. Prayer can head
- 5:28Speaker 1: off some stuff from happening. It really really can. Prayer
- 5:32Speaker 1: can prevent some things from happening. You know, I'll give
- 5:36Speaker 1: you an example in my life. Okay, here we go,
- 5:38Speaker 1: because see it is the best way for me to
- 5:40Speaker 1: do it. Because see, what I don't like to do
- 5:43Speaker 1: is talk to people without letting them know. Hey, look
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm in this hole with you. I feel where yet? Okay,
- 5:49Speaker 1: here we go. I was making some decisions a few
- 5:53Speaker 1: years ago because what I thought I was doing was
- 5:57Speaker 1: counterbalancing something that was happening in my life life. You know,
- 6:01Speaker 1: I thought that since I wasn't happy, or for whatever
- 6:07Speaker 1: the reason I thought I wasn't happy, if I, as
- 6:10Speaker 1: wrong as I am, wanted to blame somebody else from
- 6:13Speaker 1: my unhappiness, that's that's really If if I make a
- 6:17Speaker 1: bad decision because I'm thinking I'm unhappy with somebody, hold
- 6:21Speaker 1: a partner. Two wrongs don't make it right, and I
- 6:23Speaker 1: make a decision to do something wrong, and now the
- 6:26Speaker 1: consequences come when I do something wrong. See then that
- 6:32Speaker 1: I already know, as an intelligent thinking man, as most
- 6:35Speaker 1: of you are, that when you do something wrong that
- 6:38Speaker 1: you know there is a consequence for that. I teach
- 6:42Speaker 1: that to my son's When you do something wrong, there
- 6:44Speaker 1: as a consequence. So as an adult, I fully understood
- 6:48Speaker 1: the consequence. And so what I was doing was I
- 6:50Speaker 1: was making some decisions that was causing some consequences in
- 6:54Speaker 1: my life, that was delaying my happiness, delaying my progress,
- 7:00Speaker 1: causing my business not to go the way it could go,
- 7:03Speaker 1: so forth and so on. Well, what I started doing
- 7:06Speaker 1: was I took out this insurance policy called Prayer, and
- 7:10Speaker 1: I started putting it in my mix on a daily basis.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And then I started putting it in my mix, you know,
- 7:15Speaker 1: two three times a day. And then I found myself
- 7:18Speaker 1: using it all the time. And then I really started
- 7:21Speaker 1: putting it in when I didn't need any help, when
- 7:24Speaker 1: I wasn't in trouble, I started putting insurance in. I
- 7:27Speaker 1: started making deposits into the bank. I started paying my
- 7:30Speaker 1: premiums down. And Prayer is like a premium, you just
- 7:34Speaker 1: pay into it. Then when situations started coming up, now
- 7:39Speaker 1: it that prayer that I had put in, that in
- 7:42Speaker 1: those premiums I had paid it started preventing me from
- 7:45Speaker 1: making the decisions I was making in the past. Thus
- 7:49Speaker 1: I didn't have to suffer the consequences. Thus my businesses
- 7:53Speaker 1: didn't have to be delayed in this progress because I
- 7:57Speaker 1: had put some payments on some premiums. I take out
- 8:00Speaker 1: an insurance policy with my life, my real life. I'm
- 8:05Speaker 1: talking about your life where you make your day to
- 8:07Speaker 1: day decisions in I'm not talking about see life insurance
- 8:10Speaker 1: is only good if you die. God has a policy
- 8:15Speaker 1: that's avasable, that's available for you. Why are you living? See?
- 8:20Speaker 1: In order for an insurance policy to pay, something bad
- 8:23Speaker 1: got to happen. Now. There may be some others out
- 8:26Speaker 1: there I don't know nothing about, but all the ones
- 8:28Speaker 1: I got my car insurance, they only come into play
- 8:32Speaker 1: if I have an accident. I have an accident insurance
- 8:35Speaker 1: policy where if something happens to me, I got accident,
- 8:39Speaker 1: I got, I got my voice is covered in case
- 8:42Speaker 1: something happened to that. I got that, But but I
- 8:44Speaker 1: got to not be able to talk to cash that one.
- 8:47Speaker 1: You understand everything I got homeowners insurance. Don't nothing show
- 8:52Speaker 1: up on my homeowners insurance unless it's a flood or
- 8:56Speaker 1: fire of fail something bad got to happen for my
- 9:00Speaker 1: insurance to even make sense. When you take out the
- 9:05Speaker 1: policy with you, with your heavenly father, when you pay
- 9:08Speaker 1: the premiums of prayer, and that's all it costs. Man,
- 9:11Speaker 1: It ain't you. Ain't got to have no money for
- 9:13Speaker 1: this policy. I put into the policy. It pays me
- 9:18Speaker 1: dividends and benefits for living. Ain't nothing got to go
- 9:25Speaker 1: wrong for me to cash in on this policy. I
- 9:29Speaker 1: use this policy for good things. I give you an example.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I use this policy to ask God to watch over
- 9:37Speaker 1: my family when I travel. Make the decisions to pay
- 9:41Speaker 1: your premiums in prayer, Talk to your heavenly father, get
- 9:45Speaker 1: you some insurance in your life. And when you have
- 9:47Speaker 1: little things like that, keep on stepping. Man. God loves you. Man, Man,
- 9:52Speaker 1: I show hope you talk to God today, because guess
- 9:54Speaker 1: what he show would like to hear from you. That's
- 9:56Speaker 1: for shop you're listening. Show ladies and gentlemen, let's have it.

- 10:08Speaker 1: Marty show it live. When I say live, I mean

- 10:23Speaker 1: gonna be v is for victory. Is what we want
- 10:27Speaker 1: to win, is is for everybody. Put that together. That
- 10:34Speaker 1: that's what's called alconyl. You know what I mean, that's
- 10:40Speaker 1: a that's an alcromyl. That that's that's a word you say,
- 10:43Speaker 1: but it acts like it's so melk. I want to
- 10:46Speaker 1: call it an alcroony. Yes, so, yes, so let the
- 10:51Speaker 1: word be told, and let what you're told be the word.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Hump that girl. You better pret been to a church

- 11:12Speaker 1: to hear about goodness? Shockolate it's good two words. Good
- 11:22Speaker 1: means yummy and next means it's all in a group.

- 39:26Speaker 1: So here's an interesting question. These are questions that Jay
- 39:30Speaker 1: Anthony Brown wanted us to ask you. If you're better
- 39:33Speaker 1: have Steve, if Marjorie had on something you didn't like,
- 39:37Speaker 1: would you say anything? Would you say something? Nope? No,
- 39:40Speaker 1: that's right, Nope, that's cute. I wish you would girl. Well,
- 39:47Speaker 1: just then, I'm not going how about that? All right?
- 39:51Speaker 1: Here's another one. Name three TV shows you and your
- 39:54Speaker 1: wife watched together? Huh? What TV shows that you and
- 39:59Speaker 1: Marjorie watched together? Oh? Is it that hard Sports Center?
- 40:07Speaker 1: No football, She's sit down and watch football with me.
- 40:10Speaker 1: Don't know a damn thing, Just be asking questions a
- 40:13Speaker 1: whole dot case standing go in the other room. Why
- 40:19Speaker 1: are they jumping up down and said touchdown? How many points?
- 40:21Speaker 1: What touchdown? Why are they kicking it? Football? What else
- 40:29Speaker 1: do we watch? Sometimes we'll watch the news. Yeah, and
- 40:34Speaker 1: I guess the only other thing we'll watch together is
- 40:38Speaker 1: oh yeah, movies, Okay, watch movies together. I got NUSTA
- 40:44Speaker 1: and I have two out of three of those. No,
- 40:46Speaker 1: I'm not watching a football. All right, Here we go
- 40:49Speaker 1: this other question. Shay Any Brown wanted me to ask you,
- 40:53Speaker 1: do you talk to yourself? You talk to yourself if so?
- 40:56Speaker 1: About what I talked to myself about damn anything like
- 41:03Speaker 1: for instance, mostly about other people, though you know, somebody
- 41:08Speaker 1: getting on my nerves. H I fire them all, And
- 41:14Speaker 1: that's in practice for when I see them. I like
- 41:21Speaker 1: it because a lot of if we're caught off guards,
- 41:23Speaker 1: sometimes we don't know what to say. No no, no, no,
- 41:26Speaker 1: no no. When I see y'all, didn't thought it out
- 41:29Speaker 1: us this damn this scripted? I like it. Yeah, all right,
- 41:34Speaker 1: here's another one from Jaanthony Brown. Name one good thing
- 41:39Speaker 1: and one bad thing about your unaired radio personality. Name
- 41:43Speaker 1: one good thing and one bad thing about your about us? Oh.
- 41:47Speaker 1: The good thing is that probably the most dependable crew
- 41:51Speaker 1: in all of radio. I mean, they constantly are the
- 41:54Speaker 1: very supportive. They have answers and responses. Okay, thing sometimes
- 42:01Speaker 1: they talking on top of me. All right, here's the
- 42:09Speaker 1: last Okay, go ahead, go ahead, answer the last question.
- 42:14Speaker 1: All right. Here here's the last one. Stude. This is
- 42:16Speaker 1: from Anthony Brown. Name some of your best friends, Marvelous,

- 46:00Speaker 1: not Pastor's not up yet, but he's he's stating that
- 46:03Speaker 1: people coming in. It just seems very disrupted to the
- 46:06Speaker 1: service that's going on. That's so Nevertheless, like I said,
- 46:08Speaker 1: this is a warning call, you know, to let you
- 46:10Speaker 1: know that if you are late on next Sunday, then
- 46:13Speaker 1: they will be charging you fifteen dollars a late charge.
- 46:17Speaker 1: And actually you won't be able to even come in
- 46:20Speaker 1: until you until you pay a dollars. I can't even
- 46:24Speaker 1: get in church with we Look, okay, look, I don't.
- 46:27Speaker 1: I don't owe nothing. I don't owe you no explanation,
- 46:31Speaker 1: but I need to tell you something. We are me
- 46:34Speaker 1: and my kids for the last a few Sundays that
- 46:37Speaker 1: we've been late. It's because my car broke down. We
- 46:40Speaker 1: are owned the bus man public transportation. Okay, I mean,
- 46:44Speaker 1: and I understand, I understand. I siviltize with everything that
- 46:47Speaker 1: you're going through. But why are you called if you understand?
- 46:49Speaker 1: How are you calling me about fifteen dollars? If you
- 46:51Speaker 1: understand what I'm going through? Well I didn't. I first
- 46:53Speaker 1: of all, I didn't know what you were going Why
- 46:54Speaker 1: are you raising your voice at me? But why are
- 46:57Speaker 1: you raising Did you just raise your voice at me?
- 46:59Speaker 1: You know what? You know what I think? You're raising
- 47:01Speaker 1: your voice at me? How dare you call me about this?
- 47:05Speaker 1: About a feet and I'm there at church. I got
- 47:08Speaker 1: my key in desks trying to raise them up is
- 47:11Speaker 1: where they should go, just like the Bible say. And
- 47:13Speaker 1: you know why I got to do this and why
- 47:15Speaker 1: I'm late? Why while we got to chesch the bus?
- 47:17Speaker 1: Do you understand why that is? Brother Glenn, No, I
- 47:21Speaker 1: do not. That is because they to their daddy is
- 47:23Speaker 1: ain't and they yes, Tracy, you got to calm down
- 47:27Speaker 1: a little bit now. Oh Jesus help me. Jesus help me, Jesus. Okay, listen.
- 47:32Speaker 1: All I can do is tell you this. I hope
- 47:34Speaker 1: you can make it. Maybe you can catch an earlier bus,
- 47:37Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and get there a little earlier.
- 47:39Speaker 1: But but I'm just stating the fact that as of
- 47:42Speaker 1: next Sunday, if you come in late, it's fifteen dollars
- 47:45Speaker 1: late fee, and that's what you'll pay in order to
- 47:47Speaker 1: get in the service. You know what, Well, maybe next
- 47:49Speaker 1: Sunday I just won't be there. How about that? You
- 47:52Speaker 1: know I'm already working six days a week. The only
- 47:56Speaker 1: day I have off is Sunday. I've been baking, breaking
- 47:59Speaker 1: my back. Do you know I work two jobs or
- 48:01Speaker 1: two jobs, and they always trying to take money out
- 48:03Speaker 1: of my check, always trying to pull me here and there,
- 48:06Speaker 1: and I'm always tired. I get two hours of sleep
- 48:08Speaker 1: and then now the church wants to dump another fifteen
- 48:11Speaker 1: dollars charging me for being at church when that's what
- 48:13Speaker 1: I'm supposed to do. But you're coming in late though,
- 48:18Speaker 1: you know what? You know what late ain't bad? Okay,
- 48:22Speaker 1: I might be delayed, but I ain't denied, and I'm
- 48:24Speaker 1: getting there the best way that I know how. We're
- 48:26Speaker 1: on the bus. I have to put my kids on
- 48:28Speaker 1: the school bus, and not you have to put them
- 48:30Speaker 1: on the school buson I have to get on the
- 48:32Speaker 1: bus myself to work because I don't have a car.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Because they daddy's ain't doing nothing nothing for them. Do
- 48:38Speaker 1: you understand what I'm saying to you? I need to understand.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Daddy number one, guess what he daddy for? Two? He
- 48:46Speaker 1: in jail, been there aby five years, he ain't And
- 48:49Speaker 1: Daddy number three he decided to go ahead and walk out,
- 48:53Speaker 1: ain't I ain't heard from that that tent in about
- 48:57Speaker 1: seven months now. He know we're struggling. He had to
- 48:59Speaker 1: nerd take my wallet too. You don't You don't even
- 49:02Speaker 1: understand what I'm going through. You don't even understand that
- 49:04Speaker 1: I'm trying to make a better life for me and
- 49:05Speaker 1: my children. There is one more thing, sister Tracy, that
- 49:08Speaker 1: the Church wants you to know before next Sunday that
- 49:10Speaker 1: you definitely need to know. What one more thing does
- 49:13Speaker 1: the church want me to know? Beside sixteen dollars? The

- 51:22Speaker 1: that I've never met in person. I have heard him
- 51:25Speaker 1: speak almost every day and I'm not sure if he
- 51:28Speaker 1: is single, but I would love to meet him in person.
- 51:31Speaker 1: I am single and ready to mingle with him if
- 51:34Speaker 1: he is available. This guy makes my toes curl when
- 51:38Speaker 1: I hear his voice, and the icing on the cake
- 51:41Speaker 1: is that he is very funny and quite handsome. I
- 51:45Speaker 1: have been single and abstinent for abstinent for five years
- 51:49Speaker 1: by choice. I've been focusing on my daughters and I'm
- 51:53Speaker 1: writing a book about my family and it will be
- 51:55Speaker 1: coming out soon. I actually met a guy at Essence
- 51:59Speaker 1: Bets year when you guys were in New Orleans doing
- 52:03Speaker 1: a radio show, and I liked him a lot, but
- 52:06Speaker 1: he got married on me. I kept hoping, you guys
- 52:10Speaker 1: come back. What go here? I kept hoping you guys
- 52:15Speaker 1: come back to the Essence fest so I can talk
- 52:19Speaker 1: to you in person about my new crush. I live
- 52:22Speaker 1: on the West Bank, so I'm not far from downtown.
- 52:26Speaker 1: It would be a great time to talk to you
- 52:27Speaker 1: about my crush. And maybe you, Shirley or Steve could
- 52:31Speaker 1: introduce me to my crush. Wow. I'm not sure if
- 52:34Speaker 1: you figured it out or not, but Junior is my crush.
- 52:39Speaker 1: I don't want to remain silent and let Junior slip
- 52:41Speaker 1: away from me too, So I'm writing you to find
- 52:45Speaker 1: out if Junior is single and if he plans to
- 52:49Speaker 1: be in New Orleans anytime soon would get him down
- 52:52Speaker 1: the next week. If he's got a girl and not interested,
- 52:54Speaker 1: then can you please tell me the best way to
- 52:57Speaker 1: meet a good man like him? Wait a minute, I
- 52:59Speaker 1: like the way he handles his business, and he seems
- 53:02Speaker 1: like I like the way he handles his business and
- 53:06Speaker 1: he seems like a good family man. Or is this
- 53:09Speaker 1: a totally crazy way to meet a man? Do I
- 53:11Speaker 1: need to change my approach? Please help? Uh? This is
- 53:15Speaker 1: so sweet? This is so sweet. I love this. Yeah,
- 53:21Speaker 1: and yes, Junior is all the things you said in
- 53:24Speaker 1: the letter. He's a kind person. He's single, he's got
- 53:28Speaker 1: a great job. Junior works out. He's single. He's very funny.
- 53:34Speaker 1: You're right about that. He's fun to be around when
- 53:37Speaker 1: we hang out. He's fun, he's a life of the
- 53:39Speaker 1: did he just write notes on me? And did I mentioned, Yes,
- 53:43Speaker 1: he's single, and you asked if he was available. Yes,
- 53:46Speaker 1: he's available. Yes. He told me he frequents New Orleans
- 53:50Speaker 1: because I asked him, didn't I ask you, Junior? You did,
- 53:53Speaker 1: but I didn't know about the letter. He said he
- 53:55Speaker 1: likes New Orleans, the West Bank in particular. So this
- 54:00Speaker 1: could work out. You guys, this cold. I'm so right now. Yes,
- 54:05Speaker 1: I know we got to find out these things. Uh,
- 54:11Speaker 1: this is to answer your question. It's a very good
- 54:14Speaker 1: way to meet people. Yes it is. I can give
- 54:16Speaker 1: you Junior's number, his availability, I know his schedule, Shirley. Yeah.

- 54:29Speaker 1: He loves his family. He's a good family man. I
- 54:31Speaker 1: love the way he handles his business. He will handle it. Uh.
- 54:35Speaker 1: And this is just wonderful. I'm so excited, Junior. Yeah, Steve, Shirley,
- 54:41Speaker 1: you was away that right? No, yes, all right, listen
- 54:45Speaker 1: to me or we're gonna read this like as we
- 54:49Speaker 1: go in order, like we don't know this. Junior. Okay,
- 54:51Speaker 1: thank you. I need your advice for the issue I'm having.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I've fallen for someone that I have never met in person. Okay, Hi,
- 55:03Speaker 1: you don't fail for somebody you ain't even met yet.
- 55:08Speaker 1: I've heard him speak almost every day. I'm not sure
- 55:13Speaker 1: if he's single, but I would love to meet him.
- 55:16Speaker 1: I'm singing and make ready to me go. This guy
- 55:19Speaker 1: makes my toes curl when I hear his voice. What, yes? What?
- 55:28Speaker 1: I love this his voice? I make your toes curl? What?
- 55:38Speaker 1: What the hell? I'm shocked to I'm shot and your
- 55:47Speaker 1: toes curl? I'm shocked too. What is your toes curl?
- 55:55Speaker 1: With his voice? And the icing on the cake is
- 55:58Speaker 1: He's very funny and quiet hands. So she's seen it.
- 56:05Speaker 1: It's not for a year. I'm just talking to the lady, Shirley.
- 56:09Speaker 1: But obviously you have. You've been single and after it
- 56:13Speaker 1: for five years. Now. That's another problem. But we've been
- 56:16Speaker 1: doing going here, wrestle, now, going here, you know, trying
- 56:21Speaker 1: to you know, probably tuna can we need we need
- 56:26Speaker 1: a can with key on it. We need a spam
- 56:30Speaker 1: can kill Yeah. Now, now I've been focusing on my
- 56:37Speaker 1: daughters and I've written a book about your family to
- 56:39Speaker 1: be coming out soon. Don't nobody know you. I actually
- 56:44Speaker 1: met a guy in Essence one year while he was
- 56:46Speaker 1: in New Orleans doing the radio show, and I liked
- 56:48Speaker 1: him a lot, but he got married on me. Who
- 56:51Speaker 1: is that? That's just some dude. Probably might have been terming.
- 56:56Speaker 1: I think I can't ask you guys. Come back to
- 56:58Speaker 1: the Essence so I can talk to you in about
- 57:00Speaker 1: this crush. I live on the West Bank, so I
- 57:02Speaker 1: ain't far from downtown. In a great time talk to
- 57:05Speaker 1: you about my crush. Maybe, Shirley, you are Steve. Steve
- 57:08Speaker 1: not gonna talk to you about Julie. I'm your girl,
- 57:11Speaker 1: coach because dream like little nephew and I had to
- 57:13Speaker 1: watch over. He's my brother. Could you introduce me to
- 57:16Speaker 1: my crush? We could, but like time to say, We're
- 57:18Speaker 1: gonna need some evidence with who you are. All right, listen, Steve,
- 57:21Speaker 1: hang on catfishing, nobody in your ship. Hang on, Steve
- 57:25Speaker 1: for part two. We'll have part two of your response
- 57:27Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three after the hour subject someone
- 57:30Speaker 1: has a secret admirer. We'll be right back right after this.
- 57:36Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on, Let's recap today's struggle.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Recap a simple Shirley, this girl got a crush on
- 57:44Speaker 1: Junior yes, she said some things in this letter that
- 57:48Speaker 1: this guy makes my toes curl when I hit his boy. Junior,
- 57:56Speaker 1: that's what's doing it right now. I'm single and ready
- 58:08Speaker 1: to mingle. I've been focused on my daughters and I'm
- 58:12Speaker 1: writing a book about my family and it'll be coming
- 58:16Speaker 1: out soon. And you live on the West Bank, you
- 58:19Speaker 1: ain't far from downtown. Be great to talk to you
- 58:21Speaker 1: about my crush. And maybe you, Shirley or Steve could
- 58:24Speaker 1: introduce me to my crush. I'm not sure if you
- 58:27Speaker 1: figured it out or not, but my crush is Junior.
- 58:30Speaker 1: And when you got to this line right here, my
- 58:32Speaker 1: mouth fell over because I keep going back to just
- 58:36Speaker 1: sounding his voice, just make and then I heard its Junior,
- 58:40Speaker 1: and then hold through the whole damn ladder. All. So
- 58:43Speaker 1: I'm writing you to find out if Junior single, Yes,
- 58:46Speaker 1: Junior is single, if he plans being New Orleans anytime soon?
- 58:51Speaker 1: Are you gonna being Orlans this year? Junior? Yeah? Yeah. Now.

- 1:01:41Speaker 1: I ain't no need to want me. I'm unwonnable. I
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: ain't even wonnable. Yeah, okay, So what what happened all
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: of a sudden that now she's single and ready to mingle? Well,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: you know it's been five years, and you know, after
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: while you got and look at yourself and go, I
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: need to do something. So writing Strawberry letta, Yeah, and
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: what's the problem with the line? I know with the problem.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I think I know that he makes her toast curl
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: when he hears when she hears his voice. Junior has
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: a lot of toe curling moments in his life. So
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you know, y'all go ski and his damn toes a
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: curl enough too, because he's gonna be too cold. Oh.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I like how you with you the back door? Now?
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: I like that just y'all be sitting up in both
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: y'all toes. Well, don't you think it's cool that um
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: that she thinks he's very funny and quite handsome? He
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: is very very funny, Now, Junior not handsome? Yeah, Julie's
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: not handsome. You're not hands I know I'm not handsome,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: but don't take that. I'm okay, I'm okay looking. I'm

- 1:05:44Speaker 1: They called books though nickname, that their nickname, but they
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: don't match the person. That nickname is slim fat ass,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Wait four hundred pounds. He was slim in junior high.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: He bad in a four hunted heaven slim. I know,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: how about does the nickname nickname? His nickname all through
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: school was cash money broke his helpe. I love this nickname.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: And in last but not least, anybody would look in
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: front of that name, ain't little at all? No, no,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: because they did. They started that in the seventies and eighties,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Little John Live, Mike Live by Wild, Little Wayne. George
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Wallace got on. He called white girl problem is. Ain't
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: nobody in his family light held light his one George

- 1:07:06Speaker 1: Don't look bored like you already know this, Steve, Okay,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: like you don't need any help in this area. Look
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: at all the guys in the room like yes, yes,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: like they could have ridden all the stuff about me. Okay,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: First of all, get in the mood. Time to start
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: thinking about what's going to turn you on later. So
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: that's how you get in the mood. You start thinking
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: about what's going to turn you on later. Okay, say
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: it's now you know when we get up, you start
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: thinking about it. Now, so by the time we get
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: up work and you get home, tell me what if
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: you mention it. Hey, we're gonna do something when we
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: get home. Yeah, that's enough. You know we've been turning
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: me on late. I've been catching her and I don't
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: know what it is. When I catch her animal, I just, boy,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: when I catch her hands, it just it happens right
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: there at the animals. Because some kids don't really come
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: into launching part of the boy, we'd be right there
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: getting a whole weight. Man. I like, I like, like
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: when you're walking up the steps and I'm behind him,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: that's it. You game name makes sense. Ironing is not sexy.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: So you boy, when my baby leaning over behind him, God,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: that is the greatest thing in the world. Now, I'd
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: be like, these pills it's on, boy, the five damn dollars,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: I'm going down. Do you have to hear about these
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: pills every time? The cost of the pills, all of
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: that every time? Every Yes? Okay, So here's another here's
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: another tip. So you know, when you're thinking about it early,
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: start texting, because it takes women a little longer. We're
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: not as ready, set go as you guys. So it
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: takes us a long time to warr you know, longer
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: time to warm up to get where you guys already are.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: And I have another problem with that because I'm such
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: a bad speller. And then I text I'm gonna ted
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: that grass up, and she's looking at her phone like
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: what what she gonna say to say? Good, because I'm
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: been asking you to get another thing that garbage. Okay,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: So they say eat frisky friendly foods, you know, like um,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: like oysters, things like that. You know, the foods that
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: say that they're aprodisiacs. Don't eat the rito. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: They don't want you to ease cool wrench on your breath.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: It's not cool. It smells a lot like a rinch. Cooless,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: your breath do smell like a rinch? Ain't nothing cool?
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: But that's exactly what they says. Avoid foods that cause
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: bloating and bad breath. That's exactly what The cigars are
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: not helpful at all, you know, boy, you don't know
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: how many times you love your cigars. Yeah, but you know,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I know, you know, what do you do before I
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: go to Big Dog? I have to brush first of all,
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: I have to wash my monch. You don't really seems
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: is a whole nother separate back. My lips is a
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: whole soul. Three man, I got to brush my teeth
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: with toothpaste, okay, then I brush them with Lister Red okay.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Then I rest with list okay, and then you know,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: I go eat something cool and refreshing. But don't come
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: in there at all with cigar brow now because I
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: actually live with the blood hat. All right, We'll be
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right

- 1:11:58Speaker 1: in with the it's multiple times a day while they're
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: on vacation. That's that's not a vacation. Listen to this one.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I know, I know I was. I won't be called

- 1:12:25Speaker 1: we know. Yeah, So forty five I know percent of
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: respondents say they checked in with the office multiple times
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: a day during vacation. Twenty six percent said they checked
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: in at least once a day, and none of the
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: respondents said they never checked in with work while on vacation.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: What they need to tell is it a disrespect to
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: the people you on vacation with stay on the phone
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: and keep calling and working. Ain't that a disrespect that?
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know what the hell you
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: just said. Just respect if it's disrespectful. But I'm sure
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: the arguments and all of that coming from you know,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: you're supposed to be on vacation. I mean, if you

- 1:15:05Speaker 1: it was like listening to a tape on Mission Impossible.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Soon did you touch my phone? Just start smoking? Okay, okay,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: that's we do when nobody's looking here. One one, this
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: is your own house. But you drink juice straight out
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: the bottom. Hell oh, yeah, jee, I just did that
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: the other day after kids juice too. Yeah, y'all wrong

- 1:15:41Speaker 1: just open it. I took. I took a swallow. Hell
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I bought it. Yeah, a German factory. Okay, here's another one.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: Stuff we doing. Nobody's looking. You ever go to somebody's
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: house and looking at medicine cabinet? Hell yeah, yeah, oh yeah,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I quit dating. The girl calls it that. Well, if
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: you got three bottles and I can't pronounce naw one
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: of them, out of here because obviously you have something
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: that I because three bottles or something long names on
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: it and I can't pronounce them. I got to get
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: out of here, lingo, yeah at all, No one, she
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: can't keep still, y'all wrong for that. If you look
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: at that, yeah, and you see or two but anything,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: I'm out of here. Antment be all right? Steve coming
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: up closing remarks right after this. You're listening morning show,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: all right, Steve. Here we are last break of the day.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Time for you to leave us with some closing remarks, Yeah,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: you know, I try to find different ways to encourage
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: people because life is really challenging, man, and it's becoming
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: even more so for all of us because of social media. Man,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: it's like craziness. It's it's you can become a part
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: of the meal, so to speak. You can just become
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: a part of the meal. And you don't even have
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: to be famous, you really really don't. It can just
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: be in your circle of friends that you start getting
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: hated on or something like that. But it's really difficult
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: out here. So I really try to give people bits
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: and pieces of things that happened to me as I
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: progress through my life, and I maintain and I grow
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: all the while in spite of in spite of not
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: two things help me. First of all, my relationship with
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: God is probably better than it's ever been because I've
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: learned some really really useful tools over the past year
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: to really really help me. Now, little did I know
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: that God was presenting these tools to me so I
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: could so I would have them and be equipped for
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the fight that he knew was coming my way. Man,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: that's a cool, cool thing to know that God taught
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: me some things before last year that was going to
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: help me with what he knew was coming my way
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: this year. So the first thing I have to attribute
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: and give credit to my relationship with God has been
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: the real root of my ability to keep moving forward
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: in the face of all circumstances, whether they seemed appeared
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: to be what they were or not. And then secondly,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: I have learned how to shield myself. It's not that
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: I know how to shield myself, but I've learned how
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: to put a protective coating over my mind to help
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: me deal with negativity, because it's just so much of
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: it out there. Man. And if you get if you
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: really listen to what everybody's saying, you know you have
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: a lot more people that love you than hate. You
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: know that the problem with hate is it's so dog
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: gonn loud, and love it's just somebody called and say, hey, man,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: don't worry about none of that. I got you back.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: I love you, man, Thank you for all you do.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: Your real friends know the truth. It's just people who don't.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: They have something to say. So your relationship with God
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: and this practice that I've learned of how to the
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: coat now how to coat my mind from negativity, have
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: been two of the most powerful things that I've developed
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: over the past couple of years and last year and
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: a few months ago, that's really really helping me. And
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: so what I wanted to kind of share in light
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: of all of that, or in that same vein as
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: what I want you to stop doing. If you're doing this,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: stop giving people permission to have an opinion about you, man,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: Stop giving people permission to have an opinion about you, when,
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: first of all, they don't even know you. Number two,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: are a lot of people with an opinion about you.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: They've never met you. And here's the most important reason
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: they don't know you. They haven't met you. And you
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: want to know the real reason you shouldn't care, Because
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: they don't care. They don't care anything about you, one
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: way or another. They just riding through the system pushing buttons,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: and you happen to be the button that they pushing today.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Do not give people permission to have an opinion about you,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: and you listen to it. I stopped doing that. I
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: stopped giving people my permission to have an opinion about me.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: You don't have I'm not giving you permission. Now. You
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: can go have one, but it's without my permission. So therefore,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: you can't affect me. Listen to me. People. If you
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: don't give them the permission to affect you, they can't
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: affect you. You can keep pushing on and upwards to
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: your goals. Don't give them permission to turn you back.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Don't give them permission to stop you. Don't give a
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: person permission to ride your back. Martin Luther King said,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: a man can't ride your back unless you bend over.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: Stand up, stand up to some of this mess. I'm
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: not saying go down there and do something about it.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I'm just saying, stand up. Hold your head up, square
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: your shoulders, pinch your shoulder blades, get your chests out,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: hold your chin up, go on with your bad self.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: Quit worrying about what they're saying. Then people don't even
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: know you. Don't give these people permission to make you
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: feel less than who you really are. Your heavenly Father
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: made you. You're a child of God. These people didn't
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: make you. Do not give them permission. Don't give them
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: permission to be a determining factor in your life. They
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: don't have your permission to do that. They don't have
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: the ability to do that. Don't give them permission to
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: hate you, turn you back, ride your back make you
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: feel less, be a determining factor in your life. You
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: know why because they don't know you, they never met you,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: and they don't care about you. You should not care
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: about what they think. Those are my remarks. Have a
