- 0:00Luke chapter 17 He said to his disciples, It is inevitable that
- 0:05stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come.
- 0:09It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his
- 0:12neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause
- 0:15one of these little ones to stumble.
- 0:18Be on your guard. If your brother sins, rebuke
- 0:20him, and if he repents, forgive him.
- 0:23And if he sins against you 7 times a day and returns to you 7
- 0:26times, saying, I repent, forgive him.
- 0:29The apostle said to the Lord, increase our faith.
- 0:32And the Lord said, If you had faith like a mustard seed, you
- 0:36would say to this Mulberry tree be uprooted and planted in the
- 0:39sea, and it would obey you. Which of you, having a slave
- 0:42plowing or tending sheep will say to him, when he has come in
- 0:45from the field, come immediately and sit down to eat.
- 0:49But will he not say to him, Prepare something for me to eat,
- 0:52and properly clothe yourself, and serve me while I eat and
- 0:55drink, and afterward you may eat and drink?
- 0:58He does not thank the slave because he did the things which
- 1:00were commanded. Does he so you too, when you do
- 1:03all the things which are commanded?
- 1:04You say We are unworthy slaves. We have done only that which we
- 1:09ought to have done. While he was on the way to
- 1:11Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee.
- 1:14As he entered a village, 10 leprous men who stood at a
- 1:17distance met him, and they raised their voices, saying,
- 1:20Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. When he saw them, He said to
- 1:24them, Go and show yourselves to the priests.
- 1:27And as they were going, they were cleansed.
- 1:29Now one of them when he saw that he had been healed, turned back,
- 1:32glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face
- 1:35at his feet, giving thanks to him, and he was a Samaritan.
- 1:39Then Jesus answered and said, Were there not ten cleansed, but
- 1:43the 9 Where are they? Was no one found who returned to
- 1:47give glory to God except this foreigner?
- 1:50And he said to him, Stand up and go, Your faith has made you
- 1:53well. Now having been questioned by
- 1:55the Pharisees as to when the Kingdom of God was coming, he
- 1:57answered them and said, The Kingdom of God is not coming
- 2:00with signs to be observed, nor will they say, look, here it is
- 2:04or there it is. For behold, the Kingdom of God
- 2:07is in your midst. And he said to the disciples,
- 2:12The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of
- 2:15the Son of man, and you will not see it.
- 2:17They will say to you, look there, look here, do not go away
- 2:21and do not run after them. For just like the lightning,
- 2:24when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other
- 2:27part of the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day.
- 2:30But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this
- 2:33generation. And just as it happened in the
- 2:35days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man.
- 2:39They were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying,
- 2:41they were being given in marriage until the day that Noah
- 2:44entered the ark and the flood came and destroyed them all.
- 2:48It was the same as happened in the days of Lot.
- 2:51They were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they
- 2:53were selling, they were planting, they were building.
- 2:56But on the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and
- 2:59brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
- 3:02It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is
- 3:04revealed. On that day the one who is on
- 3:06the housetop whose goods are in the house must not go down to
- 3:10take them out, and likewise the one who is in the field must not
- 3:13turn back. Remember Lot's wife.
- 3:15Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses
- 3:19his life will preserve it. I tell you, on that night there
- 3:22will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other
- 3:25will be left. There will be two women grinding
- 3:28at the same place. One will be taken and the other
- 3:30will be left. Two men will be in the field,
- 3:33one will be taken and the other will be left.
- 3:36In answering, they said to him where Lord and he said to them,
- 3:40where the body is, there also the vultures will be gathered.
