- 0:26Speaker 1: for stum, please, Moby, I don't join by joined me
- 0:50Speaker 1: to be doing men. You gotta turn you, you gotta
- 1:24Speaker 1: turn to turnow, got to turn them out, turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come come on your back. Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will a good morte to everybody, y'all listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice come on dig me now, want and
- 2:08Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Um. Five things
- 2:13Speaker 1: that I know successful people have to do to be successful.
- 2:18Speaker 1: The principles are the same. You can apply it to anything,
- 2:22Speaker 1: you know, if you want to be happily married, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: whatever it is. The principles of success are the same.
- 2:28Speaker 1: There are a series of things that you have to do.
- 2:30Speaker 1: You cannot skip the steps of success. If you do,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you're going to have to go back and step on
- 2:35Speaker 1: them anyway. So here's here's here's here's a part man
- 2:41Speaker 1: that I want you all to understand about me and
- 2:44Speaker 1: and and and about how to look at it. You know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you cannot under estimate faith and prayer. You just can't.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You cannot underestimate the power of faith and the power
- 3:05Speaker 1: of prayer. See for me, this is just for me. Now.
- 3:10Speaker 1: This ain't in the scripture nowhere. This is just something
- 3:13Speaker 1: I discovered. What prayer did for me was was it
- 3:17Speaker 1: tied me to my creator. It gave me a sense
- 3:24Speaker 1: and I'm describing it this way, but I'm telling you
- 3:27Speaker 1: it's deeper than this. But it gave me a sense
- 3:30Speaker 1: that I wasn't alone and an actuality. I wasn't. But
- 3:36Speaker 1: prayer helped connect me to the power source that was
- 3:42Speaker 1: available to me to get through, get around, or get
- 3:48Speaker 1: over whatever it was that was in a way, whether
- 3:53Speaker 1: it was just a period I stretched, I had to
- 3:54Speaker 1: go through hard work. It had a period I had
- 3:58Speaker 1: to go through to learn some lessons, some periods I
- 4:02Speaker 1: had to go through from having to pay for some
- 4:04Speaker 1: of the mistakes I've made. Whatever the case may be,
- 4:07Speaker 1: prayer gave me a decided advantage, especially oh, here we go,
- 4:20Speaker 1: Especially over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in
- 4:25Speaker 1: my life that were my enemies, I didn't want them
- 4:27Speaker 1: to be my enemies. Make no mistake about this. But
- 4:32Speaker 1: through the thing called life, some things went down. Some
- 4:35Speaker 1: things happened from here and then went over here or
- 4:38Speaker 1: that way, and a person became my enemy. The majority
- 4:42Speaker 1: of enemies I had came out of nowhere. I have
- 4:46Speaker 1: no reason to even see why they are my enemies.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But you know, life goes on, man, it happens from
- 4:53Speaker 1: time to time. Some people just won't let it go. See,
- 4:57Speaker 1: some people, in their quest to do something to you
- 5:02Speaker 1: or to make you pay, they just won't let it go.
- 5:06Speaker 1: What may cause you some discomfort, and some of them
- 5:08Speaker 1: may be lies about you and all of this and
- 5:11Speaker 1: all of that, but you that can't prohibit you from
- 5:14Speaker 1: going forward. So what I'm saying is prayer gave me
- 5:19Speaker 1: the strength, wisdom understanding the carriage to either go through it,
- 5:24Speaker 1: go around it, or go over it. But it happened.
- 5:29Speaker 1: And that's what prayer does. And I don't want you
- 5:31Speaker 1: to underestimate the power of prayer because you're going to
- 5:35Speaker 1: need it on this way. Now here's a deal. You
- 5:37Speaker 1: could do this without prayer, but it's going to be
- 5:42Speaker 1: so so incredibly difficult. See. Look, becoming successful is already difficult.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Now try doing it without prayer and faith. I can't
- 5:57Speaker 1: see how it gets done. Now, see I don't. I
- 6:03Speaker 1: don't see how I can get done. I mean personally. Now,
- 6:06Speaker 1: somebody else can have a book or write a story
- 6:08Speaker 1: and tell you something totally different. But dying on the
- 6:12Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, I'm telling you the truth as
- 6:18Speaker 1: it happened for me. I do not know how I
- 6:23Speaker 1: could have made it without faith and without prayer. It
- 6:28Speaker 1: would have something would have got me. You Tube would
- 6:33Speaker 1: have got me. The bloggers would have got me. You
- 6:40Speaker 1: know that teacher that told me was never gonna be nothing,
- 6:43Speaker 1: she would have got me. My partners that I grew
- 6:48Speaker 1: up with, that used to laugh behind my back, they
- 6:51Speaker 1: would have got me. My friend that would old my
- 6:55Speaker 1: mother's house one time and told her, you know what
- 6:58Speaker 1: Steve's problem is he out there telling them jokes. He
- 7:01Speaker 1: just lazy, He don't want to work. That would have
- 7:04Speaker 1: got me. They didn't know. I ain't really mad at him,
- 7:10Speaker 1: because they were just All they was doing was basing
- 7:12Speaker 1: their conversations and passing judgment based on what they knew,
- 7:17Speaker 1: based on what they believed. They didn't believe I was
- 7:21Speaker 1: gonna make it. But that's them though. If it was
- 7:26Speaker 1: not for faith, which is the belief in things that
- 7:29Speaker 1: you cannot see. I wouldn't have made it because I
- 7:33Speaker 1: would have listened to everybody else who didn't see me
- 7:36Speaker 1: getting here and went along with it. And then prayer.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, man, how many times has prayer bailed
- 7:45Speaker 1: me out? Prayer has bailed me out, Prestiel belling me out.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Tell you the truth, man, quiet as his kelt prayer.
- 7:57Speaker 1: That connection to your heavenly Father, that connection to your creator,
- 8:03Speaker 1: that connection to that source of power and inspiration, that
- 8:06Speaker 1: connection of never feeling that you were alone. You know,
- 8:10Speaker 1: I was watching a Bishop Jakes on TV yesterday and
- 8:13Speaker 1: it was a repeat, and one of the things he
- 8:17Speaker 1: was talking about, well, let me just get to the
- 8:21Speaker 1: gist of it. I was going through a portion of
- 8:25Speaker 1: my life and I and I went through it for
- 8:29Speaker 1: some years, y'all. I had gotten myself into a jam
- 8:32Speaker 1: that lasted for years, I'm telling you, for years, with
- 8:37Speaker 1: some serious consequences to follow. For years. And I was
- 8:45Speaker 1: so busy looking at who I was at. I was
- 8:51Speaker 1: sulking sometimes, man, I'd get on the radio, man, I'd
- 8:55Speaker 1: be just done. I was sulking. My my spirit had
- 9:02Speaker 1: gotten low. I had gotten tired of the fight, and
- 9:06Speaker 1: I would I would come on some mornings, man, and
- 9:09Speaker 1: I will try try not to let on. But I
- 9:11Speaker 1: was hurting. I was because I'd been in it for years. Man,
- 9:14Speaker 1: I had been in this thing for years. And one
- 9:18Speaker 1: thing I was doing, I was so busy looking at
- 9:21Speaker 1: where I was at. And when I was watching Bishop
- 9:24Speaker 1: Jake's he preached this sermon. He was talking about so
- 9:33Speaker 1: busy looking at where you at that you don't even
- 9:40Speaker 1: realize that God has been with you the entire time.
- 9:48Speaker 1: And you know what, Man, just yesterday, just yesterday, I
- 9:51Speaker 1: heard this and I text him. I text Bishop Jakes
- 9:55Speaker 1: and I thanked him because it was an old message
- 9:57Speaker 1: I could tell and I called text him up and
- 10:00Speaker 1: I said, Man, thank you so much. I was just
- 10:02Speaker 1: watching you on TV and you told me, Man something
- 10:06Speaker 1: that I that I'll always remember that whatever you're going through,
- 10:11Speaker 1: that He's there with you the whole time. But see
- 10:14Speaker 1: when sometimes when you're so busy looking at where you at,
- 10:17Speaker 1: you don't even notice where he is. And see sometimes, Man,
- 10:21Speaker 1: that that helped me, and that's going to help me
- 10:24Speaker 1: in the future to realize that what I'm going through,
- 10:26Speaker 1: that he's there, He's there with me, and he gonna
- 10:29Speaker 1: protect me, and he ain't gonna let my enemies overcome me,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and he ain't gonna let nobody overtake me, and he
- 10:35Speaker 1: ain't gonna let me go under because he's there. It's
- 10:38Speaker 1: just you can't be so busy looking at where you
- 10:40Speaker 1: at that you don't take notice or where he at.
- 10:42Speaker 1: God is always there, He's always available, And the best
- 10:46Speaker 1: way to tap into that and know it is you
- 10:48Speaker 1: got to pray. Prayer has changed my life. Prayer can
- 10:52Speaker 1: change your life. You can become something if you just pray.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show. Ladies and gentlemen, man, have your
- 11:03Speaker 1: undivided attention. Please, this is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Now listen to me. What's about to happen today. It's
- 11:10Speaker 1: gonna be moments of revelry. Revelry and high unobliterated foolatry
- 11:21Speaker 1: combine with anquocracy of the evolution of doxterity. Wow, it's
- 11:33Speaker 1: a word, won't won't we all get to heaven? Say? Amen? Amen? Amen,
- 11:43Speaker 1: Sister Shirley, Hello, Steve, Amen, the head of the nurses,
- 11:49Speaker 1: guil Sister Carlo, good morning, Steve. Amen, Amen again, the
- 11:55Speaker 1: head of the junior choir kill, I'm going up for yonder.

- 12:07Speaker 1: per month. And ladies and gentlemen, the Deacon of DEAs
- 12:15Speaker 1: aprosity of the Deacon of death jail, Ladies and gentlemen
- 12:25Speaker 1: without father or duke, my right hand, my rock, my
- 12:31Speaker 1: east boon coon, buzzard back buddy, none other than the
- 12:37Speaker 1: prank master himself, left few tug Come on in morning,
- 12:48Speaker 1: good morning, good morning, good morning, and money. Yeah. We
- 12:53Speaker 1: are here today to discuss the shutdown. M Why in
- 13:01Speaker 1: the hell because we still shut down? Come on, because
- 13:08Speaker 1: your president does not have his wall. The president said
- 13:13Speaker 1: Mexico was gonna pay for the damn wall. Huli, Julie
- 13:21Speaker 1: old Gar staviole Hay, sus Hector, Louis and all of them.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Lad we're not paying for a damn thing, and we're
- 13:33Speaker 1: still coming, and we're gonna have stuff in our pockets.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Three tunnels. I don't give damn what you do. We're
- 13:40Speaker 1: flying in, tunneling in, we're walking in, we're skipping in.
- 13:46Speaker 1: We're coming he skipping him good, yeah, I like it. So,
- 13:50Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, that is what it is, and it
- 13:53Speaker 1: ain't what it ain't. I'm so sick of this shutdown. Man.
- 13:56Speaker 1: This has got a curse right there. But if you
- 14:05Speaker 1: had done it, if we understand why, because the government
- 14:09Speaker 1: workers understand, that's right. It's the second day, second day
- 14:13Speaker 1: with their paychecks saying zero points ero zero. What he said,
- 14:17Speaker 1: what he's daughter in laws. They don't get it, man,
- 14:23Speaker 1: They've never been paycheck to paycheck. The Trump family has
- 14:27Speaker 1: never struggled. They don't know what it is. Donald Trump's
- 14:31Speaker 1: daddy was rich for years. Yeah, all right, Steve coming
- 14:36Speaker 1: up at thirty two after the hour, Well, the big
- 14:38Speaker 1: Gang prop bet propositions. We're going to talk about that
- 14:42Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to. Okay, Now, there's a thing, guys.
- 14:49Speaker 1: It's called prop bets where people make predictions on how
- 14:53Speaker 1: some of the prop bets on the big games will
- 14:56Speaker 1: turn out. For instance, you know about this right here.
- 14:59Speaker 1: So yeah, here we go. They make bets some things
- 15:03Speaker 1: like how long will it take for Gladys Knight to
- 15:05Speaker 1: sing the national anthem? Oh that's a bet. Yeah, that's
- 15:09Speaker 1: a prop bet. The previous three years it went over
- 15:13Speaker 1: two minutes. Just so you'll know, he's not a singer.
- 15:22Speaker 1: He's a billionaire. Yeah, he's got some more money to make.
- 15:29Speaker 1: All right. Uh, here's another one. What color will the
- 15:32Speaker 1: liquid be that's poured over the head of the winning coach? Yeah? Okay, Oh,
- 15:38Speaker 1: let me tell y'all what color that's would be? Don't
- 15:41Speaker 1: you remember what color was last year? It was green
- 15:45Speaker 1: last year? Oh, because of the Eagles. Oh yeah, and
- 15:51Speaker 1: then the year before that, it was a push because
- 15:53Speaker 1: Bill Belichick ran but you're not going to right, I
- 15:59Speaker 1: love it. They poured up How did they know to
- 16:01Speaker 1: make it green? So you know what I'm saying? Color? Oh?
- 16:06Speaker 1: But they had each color? Yeah, they had to. The
- 16:09Speaker 1: Eagles ain't gonna drink no red gators. Well, you know
- 16:12Speaker 1: what she's saying is, how did they know the Eagles
- 16:14Speaker 1: were gonna win? They played the Patriots? Oh, y'all, so
- 16:19Speaker 1: they had blue gateway? Yeah, they probably. That's That's what
- 16:24Speaker 1: the prop is. You got the probability of their winning
- 16:28Speaker 1: would produce green. So okay, you gets the coin toss
- 16:32Speaker 1: heads and tails. Okay, yeah, the coin toss. What will
- 16:36Speaker 1: what will the team that wins the coin toss decide
- 16:39Speaker 1: they're gonna defer? Oh? He said, okay, because sometimes they
- 16:42Speaker 1: receive the kickoff or they deferred to the second. Okay,
- 16:46Speaker 1: how many people will watch the super Bowl in the US? Alone? Million? Millions? Yeah,
- 16:53Speaker 1: you know they're saying one hundred and six and a
- 16:55Speaker 1: half million. That's a lot of people. That's a whole
- 17:00Speaker 1: a lot of people watching one thing at one time. Yeah,
- 17:03Speaker 1: And ain't nobody doing nothing? And here's another prop bet.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I mean it's the biggest game played anywhere. Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 1: How many times will the Patriots owner Robert Kraft to
- 17:12Speaker 1: be shown on TV? I think about I would say
- 17:23Speaker 1: eleven times? And for our game? Wow, that's probably right.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So you have any prop bets to be your own seat?
- 17:30Speaker 1: How many things I was betting? Known stuff that's very
- 17:34Speaker 1: off sending. You know, you have to know people to
- 17:36Speaker 1: make these bets. These bets sin in Vegas, you know,
- 17:41Speaker 1: you don't just like hood bets, like how many pimps
- 17:44Speaker 1: gonna be there in Atlanta? Yo? Highlighted? Magic City gonna
- 17:52Speaker 1: be over? They got it done, They got it done.
- 17:55Speaker 1: They are open on Sunday. They got it done. It's done.
- 18:00Speaker 1: You know this? How oh I heard? But they're gonna
- 18:06Speaker 1: be opens Sunday though, That's all like, how would you
- 18:08Speaker 1: even know? You Martin. It's just snows. I haven't heard
- 18:17Speaker 1: that at all. Oh, they're gonna be open on Sunday.
- 18:20Speaker 1: You know they normally close on Sunday. The script clothes
- 18:22Speaker 1: are normally clothes on Sunday. They will be open on Sunday.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And not only that, they may be even may even
- 18:27Speaker 1: be open an hour too longer. They are open. They
- 18:32Speaker 1: got a mailing list for the newsletter. I'm not on
- 18:36Speaker 1: the committee or none of that. I'm just saying, I'm
- 18:39Speaker 1: just giving y'all the facts. That's all that you want
- 18:42Speaker 1: to go fact check, go do that. I'm just telling you. Boy,
- 18:46Speaker 1: Oh Atlanta, what oh what color is the mink coat?
- 18:54Speaker 1: That big boy gonna well for the half? Yeah, that's why.
- 18:59Speaker 1: That's what you think. What you think? Oh? I don't
- 19:02Speaker 1: think he's gonna fool them all. Ain't gonna do me.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Um ah, these hood bets is going on? This just
- 19:11Speaker 1: at the barbershop? Yeah yeah, yeah. How many copies are
- 19:17Speaker 1: Kevin's new movie could be sold at the barbershop called
- 19:26Speaker 1: It's stealing theater? Steed thirty copies. If you're stealing theaters,
- 19:31Speaker 1: it's at the barbershop. It just bets like that, you're
- 19:37Speaker 1: gonna have you know, yeah, how many times uh, you
- 19:45Speaker 1: know people are gonna be on the wrong street called Peachtree. Uh.
- 19:55Speaker 1: There's another bet for the Super Bowl. How many people
- 19:59Speaker 1: are gonna get throwed out of Linux. It's gonna be
- 20:04Speaker 1: so crowded Atlantic. Man's man, that's true. Now, that's that's
- 20:12Speaker 1: gonna be. That's true. Yeah, Peachtree to The confusion is real,
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yes it is. And then here's a real honorary bet,
- 20:24Speaker 1: which hotel will had the most fights. The bet is
- 20:32Speaker 1: the W. I don't know why they think the W
- 20:40Speaker 1: is the spot in every city it used to be,
- 20:44Speaker 1: though I've never really been a W guy. No, it's
- 20:51Speaker 1: too contemporary, probably for you. Yeah, I don't like to
- 20:54Speaker 1: be leaning up against the wall. Put the damn thing
- 20:56Speaker 1: up on the wall. There's all this frontiture leaning up
- 20:58Speaker 1: on stuff. We're at the button on this little skin
- 21:01Speaker 1: ass lamb the hell you mean? Touch the steam and
- 21:06Speaker 1: it come on, I'm calling down stair. Really, Yeah, we're
- 21:10Speaker 1: after room service. It's in your phone, lady. Yeah, it
- 21:16Speaker 1: was too high tech. I don't don't like stuff like that.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You you want to talk to somebody. He's an ter
- 21:22Speaker 1: continental guy. Yeah, you know, you give me that. Yeah,

- 24:31Speaker 1: do with construction arm your men. We do. I mean,
- 24:35Speaker 1: we want, we definitely want you to come in and
- 24:37Speaker 1: we want to get you a physical uh make sure
- 24:39Speaker 1: you're you're you know, in good shape to actually be
- 24:44Speaker 1: a part of the company. We want to make sure
- 24:45Speaker 1: you're you're all fitting ready to go for March. So
- 24:48Speaker 1: and did you think this would be something you'd like
- 24:50Speaker 1: to do? Yeah, this is this is amazing. So what
- 24:53Speaker 1: type of practice is here? This is UM. Like I said,
- 24:56Speaker 1: we're all wall workers recruitment and I'm actually spearheading it.
- 25:00Speaker 1: We got to steal with the government, so we're as
- 25:02Speaker 1: soon as we can't be dreaming light. We just gotta
- 25:04Speaker 1: make sure we got enough fan power and we're looking
- 25:06Speaker 1: for great Did you say wall wall workers were crummy?
- 25:10Speaker 1: Wall workers quickly correct like building the wall, building the wall,
- 25:16Speaker 1: bolding wall at the at the borders exactly. And I'm sorry, man,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to pack on this. I mean, I
- 25:24Speaker 1: need to work. I mean, is there is there is
- 25:27Speaker 1: there a problem, Hobby, Yeah, here's a problem. I mean
- 25:31Speaker 1: a Mexican American man. I got family that lives over
- 25:33Speaker 1: than Mexico. I got family las over here, you know,
- 25:36Speaker 1: in the States, Like I don't. I don't want to
- 25:38Speaker 1: be a part of that. I don't want to be
- 25:41Speaker 1: a part of anything that Trump hacked to do with
- 25:43Speaker 1: but building some ball? Are you kidding me? You were
- 25:46Speaker 1: excited when I told you we were paying you forty
- 25:48Speaker 1: five dollars an hour for twelve hours chimps in six six,
- 25:51Speaker 1: six days a week. I mean that's pretty good money.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Of course there had great Murney. But I wouldn't be
- 25:56Speaker 1: a part of this for if you pay me a
- 25:58Speaker 1: hurry bucks an hour or retard now. I mean, you
- 26:01Speaker 1: know I just respected to my people, my brother. I mean,
- 26:03Speaker 1: it it ain't gonna happen. I don't want to part
- 26:06Speaker 1: of this. I didn't know. I didn't know what type
- 26:08Speaker 1: of project. It wasn't down. I mean, you must have
- 26:10Speaker 1: said it really quickly because I didn't patch what you said,
- 26:13Speaker 1: and I don't know if you're catching what I'm saying.
- 26:15Speaker 1: But I want no part of this. So you have
- 26:18Speaker 1: a problem with building a wall, and we're paying you
- 26:23Speaker 1: each amount of dollars that's gonna put um, you know,
- 26:26Speaker 1: food on your table and take care of your family.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You got a problem with Doug. I don't give a
- 26:30Speaker 1: favorite put food on my table. I can make my
- 26:32Speaker 1: money doing looking for some other works. I ain't gonna
- 26:36Speaker 1: be a part of building some guy whoa. But it's
- 26:39Speaker 1: gonna be saying what I'm saying. I am what you're saying. Well,
- 26:43Speaker 1: we're doing we're doing in the first place. My family
- 26:49Speaker 1: be slang, right do you belong to them? Before? It
- 26:52Speaker 1: wasn't the point of the US all right? I mean,
- 26:54Speaker 1: how was the border? It is because some part of
- 26:59Speaker 1: Mexico think you, I mean, he betrayed us Mexicans. Not cool?
- 27:04Speaker 1: Not cool? Okay? Questions are you calling Latinos to build
- 27:10Speaker 1: this wall or are you calling other racist school? I haven't.
- 27:15Speaker 1: I mean I don't know everyone's nationality, sir. You just
- 27:19Speaker 1: came what about the last name? How about that? So
- 27:23Speaker 1: are you looking at this last name. I'm not looking
- 27:26Speaker 1: at the last names. I mean, I know, uh, I
- 27:29Speaker 1: assume that you were Latino on your name is Poverty.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I got that, but I got you Vier. It's Javier,
- 27:36Speaker 1: not Harvey. Only my friends your family called me Harvey?
- 27:39Speaker 1: All right? Okay, um, do you have any friends or
- 27:43Speaker 1: families you take? Might want to work the wall? Bro Yo,
- 27:47Speaker 1: who are parents? By? Nobody could be that dumber, stupid
- 27:54Speaker 1: old I want how did you see the news? I mean,
- 27:57Speaker 1: what do you think I was gonna say? I mean
- 28:00Speaker 1: you and everybody else that's a part of building this
- 28:03Speaker 1: wall the water? All right? Okay, he suspectful, you're really
- 28:11Speaker 1: continued start recruiting that things? You your worse memory? What
- 28:18Speaker 1: about what about Louise? What about what about your cousin?
- 28:22Speaker 1: I mean, would he be all right? But on the way,
- 28:25Speaker 1: my cousin louis, my cousin Louise, you got him signed
- 28:30Speaker 1: up and he's the one that recommended me. Because I'm
- 28:32Speaker 1: gonna pick it. I'm gonna go down right now part
- 28:36Speaker 1: of my mother. You better enough tell me my cousin
- 28:38Speaker 1: signed up already. No, I'm gonna tell you this. Your
- 28:42Speaker 1: cousin Louise got me to play phone call you. This
- 28:45Speaker 1: is Nephew taught me from the Steve Hobbins Martin and
- 28:48Speaker 1: show me mother, Oh my god, this man all you
- 29:06Speaker 1: guys got me good man? Hey, you do this for me?
- 29:10Speaker 1: Man in Spanish. Let me know this. What is the
- 29:13Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land. Let's all right, thank
- 29:22Speaker 1: you Nephew's crazy workers. I got it. Workers found out
- 29:28Speaker 1: what wall you was talking about? That you have a partner.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Yes he did, all right, guys, coming up at the
- 29:35Speaker 1: top of the hour. In Entertainment News, ray J flips
- 29:39Speaker 1: e bike biz for seven figures. He's rich right after this.
- 29:45Speaker 1: You're listening morning show, all right. In today's entertainment news,
- 29:52Speaker 1: ray J. You know we love us from ray J.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Ray J has just flipped his scootie bike business to
- 29:58Speaker 1: a Canadian ride sharing company called loop Share. Ray Je
- 30:03Speaker 1: reportedly received seven figures in that deal. Stave yes, yes, yes.
- 30:08Speaker 1: The e bikes and scooters, which include a sit down model,
- 30:11Speaker 1: a Vespa style unit, and a standalone scooter. They will
- 30:15Speaker 1: start popping up in the US and Canada with plans
- 30:18Speaker 1: for global expansion. He's gonna take over the world with
- 30:22Speaker 1: these scootie bikes. Ray J didn't cash out. He just didn't,
- 30:27Speaker 1: you know, cash out and dip. He controls nineteen million
- 30:31Speaker 1: shares and will apparently play a key role in strategy. Steve,
- 30:36Speaker 1: what do you think about that? I mean, you know,
- 30:39Speaker 1: I don't know the particularly, but congratulations to business. It
- 30:45Speaker 1: really is making it happen, you know. Nineteen million man? Yeah?
- 30:54Speaker 1: Is that nineteen me? But you think I hope if
- 31:01Speaker 1: the share work for dollars that nineteen million? Let men
- 31:05Speaker 1: said what you think one time nineteens? I'm just lujitia.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I'm just saying, what do you think one times nineteens?
- 31:18Speaker 1: And I mean know when it goes public, you know,
- 31:23Speaker 1: that's what he would own, his nineteen million shares if
- 31:26Speaker 1: he can maintain his amount of shares as that divest,
- 31:30Speaker 1: you know, when they take on more money, sometimes just
- 31:34Speaker 1: shares get diluted. But what he's done is a brilliant
- 31:37Speaker 1: business movement. Congratulations. However, they delute that could become more
- 31:41Speaker 1: valuable than that. You know, let's say, let's say to
- 31:44Speaker 1: get up to around the funding. I'm just talking hypothetical.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Let's say Rachel has nineteen million shares and they raise
- 31:53Speaker 1: fifty million two really blow the company up global they
- 31:58Speaker 1: take on fifty million, but he has to give up
- 32:00Speaker 1: some of his shares. So let's say he gives up
- 32:03Speaker 1: nine million shares and he keeps ten millions. But let's
- 32:09Speaker 1: say it turns into an ipo. Let's just say they
- 32:12Speaker 1: go out for ten dollars a shiit mayding got one
- 32:16Speaker 1: hundred million dollars. Wow, wow wow, okay, go ahead, well yeah,
- 32:22Speaker 1: well wait, wait to go. Ray j my new friend
- 32:24Speaker 1: and princes love I love it and the baby. Yeah.
- 32:28Speaker 1: He make families and he makes money. You do both
- 32:31Speaker 1: of them? Boy? All right, guys, switching gears. We're gonna
- 32:38Speaker 1: talk about this story and other news. Covington Catholic High
- 32:41Speaker 1: School reopened yesterday as police continue to respond to threats
- 32:46Speaker 1: and suspicious packages delivered to the school in the wake
- 32:49Speaker 1: up last weekend's tense showdown between students and Native American
- 32:54Speaker 1: Nathan Phillips. Phillips was interviewed on The Today Show this morning,
- 32:58Speaker 1: a day after Savannah Guthrie sat down with sixteen year
- 33:01Speaker 1: old Nick Sandman to get his side of the story.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Philip said he watched some of Salmon's interview, and I
- 33:07Speaker 1: thought it was coached and written up for him, adding
- 33:10Speaker 1: that it showed insincerity and a lack of responsibility. Philip
- 33:14Speaker 1: said he was trying to break up a tense encounter
- 33:17Speaker 1: between the students and members of the Black Hebrew Israelites.
- 33:20Speaker 1: He says he tried to walk peacefully through the crowd,
- 33:23Speaker 1: chanting a prayer for peace, but was quickly surrounded by
- 33:26Speaker 1: the students and couldn't move. Take a listen. And when
- 33:30Speaker 1: I put myself in prayer and used that drum to
- 33:34Speaker 1: reach to God, that mass of young men surrounded me
- 33:38Speaker 1: and the folks that were with me, And it was
- 33:41Speaker 1: a moment when I was in prayer. It wasn't that
- 33:46Speaker 1: I felt like I could stop anything or do anything,
- 33:50Speaker 1: but I felt like I was spiritually moved into that center,
- 33:56Speaker 1: that center of that whirlwind. They got support from Trump
- 34:00Speaker 1: and um Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Yeah. Phillips went on to
- 34:06Speaker 1: say that he is still angry about the encounter. He
- 34:08Speaker 1: blames the chaperones for not reigning the students in, but
- 34:13Speaker 1: despite his bitterness, he says he forgives the students and Steve,
- 34:16Speaker 1: don't you think that instead of supporting one side, President
- 34:19Speaker 1: Trump should bring all sides together. He doesn't know how
- 34:23Speaker 1: to do that. It's things. No, I don't expect anything
- 34:26Speaker 1: good of him. I expect I expect him to do
- 34:29Speaker 1: what he did. The students had on make America great again.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Hats anybody that shows support of him, he's on their side.
- 34:37Speaker 1: He don't get the facts, don't mean they had the
- 34:39Speaker 1: red hats on. That's all that matter. I really don't
- 34:42Speaker 1: even know. I'm not well versed enough about the situation
- 34:45Speaker 1: because I've heard conflicting things. At first, I heard that
- 34:49Speaker 1: the Native American gentleman, mister Phillips, I think that he
- 34:55Speaker 1: was okay with everything. Then I heard that the student
- 34:59Speaker 1: was just that look Granny had on face started, he
- 35:02Speaker 1: would just smile, he diffused it. I heard his statement.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I know, you know prepared statements when I hear him,
- 35:09Speaker 1: but he's a kid. I don't I don't care. I
- 35:12Speaker 1: don't care nothing about them students. I could care less
- 35:15Speaker 1: about them. They don't shake or move the world. We're
- 35:19Speaker 1: not getting anything from the White House that brings people together.
- 35:23Speaker 1: It's no, hey, let's sit down. Let me invite all
- 35:25Speaker 1: of you to the White House and talk it over.
- 35:28Speaker 1: That's not who we have up there. I don't expect
- 35:31Speaker 1: him to do anything different than support whoever had the
- 35:34Speaker 1: red and White hattle. That's all of it is. Though,
- 35:37Speaker 1: I tell you what I did not like when they
- 35:40Speaker 1: kept referring to the organization as these young black men
- 35:45Speaker 1: who are rilling up everything. Yeah, that's who they are. Stopped.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Don't just try to ban everybody together. You know, the
- 35:53Speaker 1: name of the group. Just say the name of the group.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Move on with your story. I don't try to make
- 35:58Speaker 1: this about this young angry group. Will back men because
- 36:00Speaker 1: with a lot of black people, they weren't saying nothing
- 36:02Speaker 1: to them kids, and the stuff that they was yelling
- 36:05Speaker 1: to the kids probably shouldn't have been saying it. Yeah,
- 36:08Speaker 1: you know, they were saying some stuff to the kids.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I thought it was out of line. But you know,
- 36:12Speaker 1: if you understand the organization, you know they say what
- 36:16Speaker 1: they want to say. So all right, we gotta move on. Guys.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, Florida Secretary
- 36:23Speaker 1: of State resigns from office. As wait to you hear this, Steve,
- 36:27Speaker 1: as black face photos are released, we'll talk about that
- 36:31Speaker 1: when we come back. You're listening to Florida's Secretary of
- 36:37Speaker 1: State Michael Ortell is learning the same lesson former NBC
- 36:42Speaker 1: host Megan Kelly learned about black face. He's stepping down
- 36:46Speaker 1: after offensive Halloween pictures of him emerged online. Or Tell
- 36:52Speaker 1: healthy audacity to wear blackface fourteen years ago when he
- 36:56Speaker 1: dressed up as a female Hurricane Katrina Victim. His costume
- 37:02Speaker 1: also included a head scarf steve around his head. So
- 37:07Speaker 1: now newly elected Governor Ron de Santis, who appointed or Tell,
- 37:11Speaker 1: got wind of the picks on Thursday morning after the
- 37:15Speaker 1: tala Has The Democratic newspaper obtained them Shortly thereafter, Ortell
- 37:20Speaker 1: resigned his post. The photos were taken back in two
- 37:23Speaker 1: thousand and five, two months after Katrina ripped through Louisiana.
- 37:27Speaker 1: We all remembered this, and while Ertel was serving as
- 37:31Speaker 1: Seminole County Supervisor of Elections. Worth noting now we remember
- 37:36Speaker 1: this from the election. Governor de Santis had his own
- 37:39Speaker 1: racial controversy during his hotly contested campaign against Andrew Gillum.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Remember he said he made the statement about don't monkey
- 37:49Speaker 1: this up. Remember that comment made, yeah, yeah, yeah, for
- 37:53Speaker 1: black face. But how is black face a hurricane black
- 37:57Speaker 1: face Katrina Victim? Your costume? How how is that a
- 38:02Speaker 1: costume choice? You don't you don't know I'm no listen truly. Yeah,
- 38:10Speaker 1: there are people who think that stuff is funny. Yeah, yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 1: First of all, that was nothing funny about Katrina at all.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Nothing thousands of people. I'm telling it was probably the
- 38:25Speaker 1: biggest natural catastrophe in the history of the United States,
- 38:31Speaker 1: especially lives. And the way they handled it, Yes, that
- 38:37Speaker 1: made it even greater. You know, Puerto Rico was horrible.
- 38:41Speaker 1: What they've done and what they're still not doing any reporter,
- 38:45Speaker 1: Katrina was another catastrophe. You think they learned, but here's
- 38:51Speaker 1: the problem. They learned nothing when it comes to people
- 38:56Speaker 1: of color. I'm telling you right now, you're right. If
- 39:00Speaker 1: Puerto Rico was the Hamptons, oh boy, yeah, boys stop. Yeah,
- 39:08Speaker 1: but we're talking about New Orleans. We're talking about all
- 39:11Speaker 1: those black people in that super dome, all those black
- 39:17Speaker 1: people in that area, which was a dangerous area. Yeah.
- 39:22Speaker 1: All right. Coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 39:24Speaker 1: we're going to switch gears and talk about the difference
- 39:27Speaker 1: between raising boys and raising girls. Right after this. You're listening,
- 39:35Speaker 1: all right, Steve, So it was interesting on your talk
- 39:38Speaker 1: show you had a conversation about the difference between raising
- 39:42Speaker 1: boys and raising girls. You talked about this on Steve
- 39:46Speaker 1: on your talk show. So what is the difference? What
- 39:49Speaker 1: I mean, it's a huge difference. And for people who
- 39:51Speaker 1: don't think it, I don't think they have boys and girls.
- 39:55Speaker 1: You can't raise them the same way because you're you're
- 39:59Speaker 1: not trying to get this same results. You're trying to
- 40:02Speaker 1: turn eventually one of them into a fine woman, and
- 40:07Speaker 1: you're trying to turn the other one into a fine man.
- 40:11Speaker 1: They happen to be two totally different species. Now, do
- 40:14Speaker 1: you want them to have the same drive? Yes? You
- 40:18Speaker 1: want them both to be disciplined, yes? Do you want
- 40:22Speaker 1: them both have a strong work ethic yes? Ye, you
- 40:26Speaker 1: want to be law bidy, yes, good citizens? Yes. There
- 40:31Speaker 1: are a lot of similarities. But after that, that's it.
- 40:36Speaker 1: We're not alike. We don't dress alike, we don't talk alike,
- 40:41Speaker 1: we don't process information alike, and we don't think alike.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Women are emotional. They're typically more so than men, but
- 40:51Speaker 1: there are men who are more emotional on some subjects
- 40:54Speaker 1: than women. Sports, we weigh more emotional. I see more
- 41:00Speaker 1: of me inclining over games than I do with it.
- 41:03Speaker 1: I'm talking about literally tears. But when you're raising a
- 41:07Speaker 1: boy and you're raising a girl. That it's just a difference. Man,
- 41:12Speaker 1: I don't see how a person cannot see the difference. Now, Timmy,
- 41:16Speaker 1: you got boys ain't girl right, So you know there's
- 41:20Speaker 1: a difference. Raising trade different from raising city. Oh my god,
- 41:25Speaker 1: too told different people, who told different people, told the
- 41:29Speaker 1: different genders. I have to approach it differently. Yeah, you know,
- 41:33Speaker 1: like for me, it's crazy education wise, I've had very
- 41:38Speaker 1: little to no trouble from the girl them damn boys.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I couldn't even get mad at it because hell I
- 41:46Speaker 1: didn't you shot it in everybody and the girls. Man,
- 41:54Speaker 1: Laurie went to school. She just straight at She just
- 41:56Speaker 1: got all a's she gotta be. She was so upset
- 41:59Speaker 1: When time I was looking at her, I was confused.
- 42:03Speaker 1: You gotta be. Let me tell you something dark. I
- 42:08Speaker 1: gotta see on my report called one time it happen
- 42:12Speaker 1: my daddy bought me a bike and brag it. Yeah, boy, boy,
- 42:20Speaker 1: study here the asshole. I've seen it go difficult. I
- 42:28Speaker 1: just don't see how people don't see the difference when
- 42:31Speaker 1: you're trying to get different results. Yeah, you're trying to
- 42:34Speaker 1: raise a lady and you're trying to raise a gentleman.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Them two different people. You gotta take different runs. You know,
- 42:40Speaker 1: you're not gonna raise your daughter to open doors and
- 42:43Speaker 1: pull out chairs and pump gas. Some people do that
- 42:46Speaker 1: though they believe in this gender neutral raising. You know
- 42:50Speaker 1: that's stupid. Yeah, I mean, you know that's the thing. Now,
- 42:54Speaker 1: that's stupid. Yeah, it's the thing. It's it's like gender neutral,
- 42:59Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, even though you're you're generid a heart attack, Yeah, seriously,
- 43:10Speaker 1: all right, we gotta move on. Up next, it is
- 43:12Speaker 1: a nephew here with today's frank phone call. Right after
- 43:16Speaker 1: this you're listening to, all right, coming up at the
- 43:21Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's
- 43:23Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today, the subject my husband is
- 43:27Speaker 1: not carrying her casket. All right, But right now the
- 43:32Speaker 1: nephew is here with today's frank phone call. You heard me, Carla,
- 43:40Speaker 1: what you got now? Yeah? You are what you got?
- 43:44Speaker 1: But main? What? But main? What? Man? Yeah? What? Man?
- 43:51Speaker 1: It's called But main? Ok, let me break this dad
- 43:54Speaker 1: to you. So at the you know, at the job,
- 43:58Speaker 1: somebody some to copy day but on the machine, on
- 44:03Speaker 1: the copy machine that it didn't really happen, surely, But
- 44:09Speaker 1: I act like it did. So I'm human Resources and
- 44:13Speaker 1: I call this man, this brother, and say, hey, we
- 44:17Speaker 1: uh we got an understanding that uh somebody on your
- 44:20Speaker 1: floor copy day, but on the copy machine, and we
- 44:24Speaker 1: need to um set a meeting with you at a
- 44:27Speaker 1: level so you can come in and we need to
- 44:30Speaker 1: see if it was you, which means what which we need? Yes, okay,
- 44:37Speaker 1: we need to we need we need to see your butt.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Here we go and you already know our brothers at
- 44:43Speaker 1: here we go right now. But mate, Hello, hey, I'm
- 44:47Speaker 1: trying to reach Vaughan. Please Vaughan. This is Darius. Darius

- 44:58Speaker 1: we um have answer that has taken place at the
- 45:02Speaker 1: job you actually what floor are you on? Vin? I'm
- 45:07Speaker 1: all for twelve floor twelve? All right? So do you
- 45:12Speaker 1: use the copy machine that often on that floor? Not
- 45:15Speaker 1: all the time, but I do use it every once
- 45:17Speaker 1: in a while, okay, every once in a while. So
- 45:21Speaker 1: here's what's going on. There's gonna be some actions being
- 45:24Speaker 1: taken place here pretty soon, some legal actions, and we're
- 45:28Speaker 1: just clearing everybody. You know, this is just a proper
- 45:31Speaker 1: procedure that we're having to go through. So let me
- 45:34Speaker 1: just kind of enlighten you on what's taking place. Someone
- 45:37Speaker 1: on the twelfth floor has copied their butt on a
- 45:41Speaker 1: piece of paper and the copy machine. So someone actually
- 45:44Speaker 1: sat up on the Xerox machine and copied their butt.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Why someone would do that, I have no earthly idea.
- 45:50Speaker 1: But what's happening now is everyone on your floor is
- 45:55Speaker 1: gonna have to come in and show their butt. So
- 45:58Speaker 1: we're scheduling this down. I'm thinking Friday at eleven am.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Would that be super? Yah? Y'all talking, y'all talking about
- 46:09Speaker 1: y'all want me to come up there and show show
- 46:12Speaker 1: my show because somebody, I'm a grown man. Okay, I'm
- 46:17Speaker 1: a grown man. I adn't do that. Okay, you know what.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I believe you. I believe you wholehearted. Leave on. But
- 46:23Speaker 1: just to clear your name, we have to, I hate
- 46:26Speaker 1: to say it, clear your butt as well. So we
- 46:28Speaker 1: want to make sure we're gonna find out who's but
- 46:31Speaker 1: this here is on a piece of paper that did this.
- 46:33Speaker 1: We're gonna find out, gonna find You're gonna find out
- 46:35Speaker 1: who's You're gonna find out whose cheeks those are, and
- 46:37Speaker 1: you're gonna find that real quick. Than our mind. All right,
- 46:40Speaker 1: I'm not doing that, man, I'm not gonna come in.
- 46:42Speaker 1: You said Friday. You're doing this on Friday, Friday, UT eleven,
- 46:46Speaker 1: not coming in my day off. I'm pulling my pants down.
- 46:49Speaker 1: But some strangers look at really, look at my look
- 46:53Speaker 1: at my cheeks. Talking about somebody copied I'm not doing that.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I don't. I don't want to. I don't want this
- 47:00Speaker 1: to take a turn, von, because right now this is
- 47:03Speaker 1: if you're not if you're saying you're not coming in,
- 47:05Speaker 1: then other actions will be taking place if you don't
- 47:08Speaker 1: come in and follow the precedure that everybody's saying. Everybody
- 47:12Speaker 1: else that I'm calling they have to come in. How
- 47:15Speaker 1: many how many people work on that floor? There's at
- 47:18Speaker 1: least eighty plus people on that floor. You're talking about
- 47:21Speaker 1: trying to have eighty plus people come in, drive all
- 47:25Speaker 1: the way to work. So some strangers and we don't
- 47:28Speaker 1: even know can look at our look at our cheeks,
- 47:30Speaker 1: and I'm not gonna do that. I don't know who
- 47:33Speaker 1: did it, but I know they ain't met. Well, somebody,
- 47:36Speaker 1: somebody zeros there but on the twelfth floor, and we're
- 47:41Speaker 1: gonna get to okay, But we're gonna get to the
- 47:43Speaker 1: bottom of who did it and what you're What you're
- 47:46Speaker 1: not gonna do, von is tell me you're not coming in.
- 47:48Speaker 1: What you're not gonna do. Do you like your job
- 47:51Speaker 1: here with this company? Okay? What you're not gonna do
- 47:54Speaker 1: is act like you're gonna fire me because I'm not
- 47:57Speaker 1: gonna show y'all my sweet goodies just because you just
- 48:00Speaker 1: because you from HR you got me food. If you
- 48:02Speaker 1: actually expect me to think that everybody that worked from
- 48:05Speaker 1: this floor is over here like oh yeah, sure, I'm
- 48:09Speaker 1: some strangers looking mind look at my crack. You must
- 48:12Speaker 1: be playing, no, sir, not with me. Okay, let me
- 48:16Speaker 1: ask Let me, let me ask you this. Do you
- 48:18Speaker 1: have a coworker name Andre Andrea? Yes, okay, and Andrew
- 48:23Speaker 1: says he knows you now, I'm just gonna put it
- 48:26Speaker 1: out here. Andrea is stating that it could have possibly
- 48:30Speaker 1: been you. Really Andre got the nerve to say it
- 48:33Speaker 1: could have been mere. Why are he trying to single
- 48:37Speaker 1: me out like I even use that damn copier. I
- 48:40Speaker 1: don't round there playing games. I'm a grow man. He
- 48:43Speaker 1: must be out of his mind thinking he gonna say
- 48:47Speaker 1: I did it all I know is he stated that
- 48:49Speaker 1: you were a possibility. That's what That's what he stated.
- 48:52Speaker 1: He said I was a possibility. That that's dumb. He
- 48:56Speaker 1: ain't have absolutely no reason to take I don't even
- 48:58Speaker 1: use that copier, man, I use that thing like once
- 49:01Speaker 1: every two three weeks, everybody on that floor. Okay, so
- 49:05Speaker 1: out of once every two three weeks, is there a
- 49:07Speaker 1: possibility maybe you propped your butt up there and copied it.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Not at all, y'all, don't need ain't even told me
- 49:13Speaker 1: when this happened. I probably wasn't even working when the
- 49:16Speaker 1: booty chick Scott get what you must be out your mind.
- 49:20Speaker 1: You can waste everybody else for time trying to bring
- 49:23Speaker 1: everyone in to get a free strip show, but you're
- 49:25Speaker 1: not gonna do that to me. This has to be
- 49:28Speaker 1: unethical and illegal on so many levels. You're trying to
- 49:32Speaker 1: come in and say everybody on the entire four has
- 49:35Speaker 1: to come show that cheeks man. You want to be
- 49:38Speaker 1: kidding me? What's your name? Whole time you're trying to
- 49:41Speaker 1: call me saying this is HR what's your name? Because
- 49:43Speaker 1: we're not I'm Darius. I'm Darius out of human resources.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I told you that when I first called you and well, Darius,
- 49:50Speaker 1: Well Darius, when I do come into work, I want
- 49:54Speaker 1: to see let me ask you this, Von. Do you
- 49:57Speaker 1: know Leslie? Leslie? I know that better not even say
- 50:02Speaker 1: my name, but so you do know Leslie? Yes, I
- 50:06Speaker 1: know Leslie. She works there with me. So you're trying
- 50:08Speaker 1: to tell me that Leslie said. Do you want to
- 50:11Speaker 1: know what Leslie said? Yes? I would like to know
- 50:14Speaker 1: what Leslie says. So when I cussed her out, I
- 50:17Speaker 1: get it right, okay. Leslie told me to tell you
- 50:20Speaker 1: that this is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey More
- 50:23Speaker 1: on the show. And you just got frank by your
- 50:26Speaker 1: co worker Leslie. And oh man, Leslie and Andre got
- 50:37Speaker 1: me to prank phone call you. Man, dude, I was man,
- 50:43Speaker 1: I was passed. Yeah, your uncle is right, bro, somebody
- 50:49Speaker 1: is gonna whoop y'all. I bet I bet it this
- 50:53Speaker 1: year two thousand nineteen year. All right, VU tell me
- 50:58Speaker 1: this man, what is the baddest and I mean the
- 51:00Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the land, the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Somebody is definitely gonna whoop'all. You're like, man, don't give
- 51:12Speaker 1: it to me, give it to me. That's but man baby.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Oh now, all right, I'm in town right now this
- 51:24Speaker 1: weekend and everything is sold out. But next land in

- 52:28Speaker 1: Bugle up and hold on tight. We got it for
- 52:30Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry Lettuce subject my husband
- 52:35Speaker 1: is not carrying her casket exclamation mark. Here's Stephen Shirley.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Here's my ordeal. My husband and I have been married
- 52:44Speaker 1: for eight years and we have three beautiful children. One
- 52:48Speaker 1: of my husband's longtime ex girlfriends died over the weekend,
- 52:52Speaker 1: and we were all shocked because it was so sudden.
- 52:55Speaker 1: My husband's best friend is the deceased woman's cousin, so
- 52:59Speaker 1: he called to tell us the bad news. He said
- 53:02Speaker 1: that the family was working out the funeral arrangements and
- 53:04Speaker 1: had decided that they wanted my husband to be a
- 53:08Speaker 1: pall bearer at her funeral because the ex girlfriend still
- 53:12Speaker 1: loved him up until the day she died. This was
- 53:16Speaker 1: just too much for me to process. My husband asked
- 53:19Speaker 1: if I was okay with him being a pall bearer
- 53:21Speaker 1: at the funeral, and I said, h E double l
- 53:26Speaker 1: no hel And I told my husband's best friend that
- 53:31Speaker 1: the family needs to find somebody else to help them out.
- 53:34Speaker 1: So later that day, I asked my best friend if
- 53:37Speaker 1: I was wrong for saying no, and she said that
- 53:40Speaker 1: I was dead wrong. He said that I'm being jealous
- 53:42Speaker 1: and insecure about a deceased woman and it's not a
- 53:45Speaker 1: good look. She told me that I need to be
- 53:47Speaker 1: more concerned about the flirtations women that are living and
- 53:51Speaker 1: always in my husband's face. Needless to say, I'm not
- 53:55Speaker 1: speaking to her right now. I am in no way,
- 53:58Speaker 1: shape or form jealous or insecure. I told my husband
- 54:03Speaker 1: that we will go to the funeral together to pay
- 54:05Speaker 1: our respects, and that is it. He seems a bit
- 54:08Speaker 1: uneasy with my decision, but he does not want to
- 54:10Speaker 1: keep stirring the pot and make me angry. I would
- 54:13Speaker 1: love to get your thoughts on this. Am I wrong?
- 54:16Speaker 1: Please help? Well? You know you sound like one of
- 54:20Speaker 1: those women that is not here for it at all.
- 54:23Speaker 1: You're not having it. I don't care if she's dead,
- 54:26Speaker 1: alive or what. I bet you did say some choice
- 54:29Speaker 1: words to your husband other than hub l. No, you
- 54:33Speaker 1: said this is some b S. Probably you know you're
- 54:37Speaker 1: a little crazy, said it? She said it, yeah, and
- 54:42Speaker 1: you're a little crazy. But it's okay, it's all right.
- 54:45Speaker 1: You have every right to feel how you feel about
- 54:47Speaker 1: this situation. But I just gotta tell you lighten up, please.
- 54:51Speaker 1: I mean, the woman was his ex girlfriend, right, You've
- 54:55Speaker 1: been married to him for the last eight years and
- 54:57Speaker 1: your best friend was right. I think the woman is dead.
- 55:01Speaker 1: I mean are you mad because her family said she
- 55:03Speaker 1: still loved your husband until the day she died. Well,
- 55:07Speaker 1: I say this, unless say acted on this love that
- 55:11Speaker 1: she supposedly had for your husband until the day she died,
- 55:14Speaker 1: and you did not mention that in this letter. It's okay,
- 55:17Speaker 1: she just loved him from afar still according to this letter.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Now you know she's dead. Now, So and you've told
- 55:26Speaker 1: your husband that no, he can't be a pall bearer
- 55:30Speaker 1: because you won't like it. But I mean, you know,
- 55:34Speaker 1: so he's not gonna rock the boat. He doesn't want
- 55:37Speaker 1: you mad. He doesn't want, you know, to come in
- 55:38Speaker 1: the house and with you with an attitude and all that. So, yes,
- 55:42Speaker 1: go on and go to the funeral as a family
- 55:44Speaker 1: and pay your respects. But again I say to you,
- 55:47Speaker 1: lighten up. The woman is dead. She's dead, Steve. Let's
- 55:52Speaker 1: just get to the bottom of it. Am I wrong?
- 55:55Speaker 1: You know? Good hair? Well you wrong. You've been married
- 56:03Speaker 1: for eight years to this man. You got three beautiful children.
- 56:07Speaker 1: One of my husband's long time ex girlfriend died over
- 56:12Speaker 1: the weekend. We were all shocked. Now, let's break that down.
- 56:19Speaker 1: We were all shocked. Now was you shocked or was
- 56:23Speaker 1: you something now what else now? Was you shocked or
- 56:28Speaker 1: was you relieved? Oh? Man, we're gonna say that. I mean,
- 56:35Speaker 1: I mean, come on out, coming up. Based on the
- 56:37Speaker 1: rest of this letter, I got a right to ask
- 56:40Speaker 1: was you shocked or was you showed? Or was you
- 56:44Speaker 1: so overjoyed? It appeared as shocked? Wow, somebody coming and said, man, man,
- 56:53Speaker 1: Lucretia died. What now does that sound like shot? No?
- 57:00Speaker 1: It but that sounded a lot like Joe, what what's
- 57:08Speaker 1: a bad actors? So now my husband best friend is
- 57:20Speaker 1: the dead woman's cousin, so he called to tell us
- 57:24Speaker 1: the bad news. He said. The family was working out
- 57:27Speaker 1: of the funeral arrangements and had decided that they wanted
- 57:30Speaker 1: my husband to be a pall bearer at her funeral
- 57:34Speaker 1: because the ex girlfriend still loved him. Today she died.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Now they were too much for me to process. My
- 57:41Speaker 1: husband asked if I was okay with him being a
- 57:43Speaker 1: pall bearer at the funeral. I said, hell Na. That
- 57:50Speaker 1: woman didn't say no, h E L L. She said,
- 57:55Speaker 1: hell no. I told my husband's best friend, and I
- 58:00Speaker 1: see you all in the middle of it. Now, see
- 58:03Speaker 1: you ain't even you don't even let see this way
- 58:05Speaker 1: you started messing up. I told my husband's best friend
- 58:08Speaker 1: that the family need to find somebody else to help
- 58:11Speaker 1: them out. See right there. If if your husband asked you,
- 58:17Speaker 1: was it okay, you would said, baby, I wish you
- 58:20Speaker 1: would decline that it would make me uncomfortable to see
- 58:25Speaker 1: you as the pa bear of your ex. But you
- 58:27Speaker 1: didn't do that. You took it into your hands. See
- 58:30Speaker 1: to see this way, you made it real stink at
- 58:32Speaker 1: where it looked like he standing up or he ain't
- 58:35Speaker 1: got no say so in his life. You told your
- 58:37Speaker 1: husband's friend that the family need to find somebody else
- 58:40Speaker 1: to help him out. So later that day, then you
- 58:43Speaker 1: steal in it. You went to ask your best friend
- 58:45Speaker 1: if I was wrong for saying no, and she said
- 58:48Speaker 1: I was dead wrong. She said, I'm being jealous and
- 58:53Speaker 1: insecure about a deceased woman, and it's not a good look.
- 58:57Speaker 1: She told me, I need to be more concerned about
- 59:02Speaker 1: the flirtationous women that are living and always in my
- 59:06Speaker 1: husband faith needles to say, I'm not speaking her right.
- 59:08Speaker 1: I am in no way, shape or form jealous or insecure.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Yes you are. You are jealous and insecure in all shape,
- 59:17Speaker 1: firms and fashion. You bet not go nowhere near that
- 59:21Speaker 1: dad dead. Now you are being jealous because the woman
- 59:35Speaker 1: is dead, and you're being insecure. What do you mean,
- 59:39Speaker 1: You're in no way foam jealous or insecure. That's exactly
- 59:43Speaker 1: what you are. You're jealous of a relationship and you
- 59:47Speaker 1: insecure of how to look if he got his head
- 59:50Speaker 1: on that cask. Now, when we come back, I'm gonna
- 59:54Speaker 1: tell you what else she told him. All right, we'll
- 59:57Speaker 1: be back in twenty three after the hour. Right after this.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Let's recap today's strawberry letters. Steve subject,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: My husband is not carrying her casket. This woman been
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: married to this man eight years. They got three beautiful children.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Got a call from his best friend, who is the
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: cousin of this woman. Said man the girl used to
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: date died over the weekend. The lady writing the letter said,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: we was all shocked. I don't really think she was. Shock,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: relief and joy can be the same damn sound. See Charley,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: say something shocking to me, Oh Steve, you lost all
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: your money? What now say something joyful to me, Oh Steve,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you just made a billion dollars? What it gives me
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: the same same thing? I see your part. It's the same.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Damn so to knowing she made that look shocked, I
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: think with damn near joy because lady in the later
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: on in the letter, she act like family working out
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: the funeral plans, and they decided they wanted her your
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: husband to be the husband Paul bearing the funeral because
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: the ex girl Field loved him all the way until
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: she died. That was too much for me to process.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: My husband asked, okay being a Paul Bear at the funeral.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: I said, hell now, then you jumped in and told
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: your husband best friend the family need to find somebody
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: else to help him out. So later that day I
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: asked my best friend if I was wrong, saying no,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: She said yeah, us day wrong said, I'm being jealous
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: and insecure about the deceased woman. Is not a good look.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Tell me I need to be most serned about the
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: flirtations women that's living in always in my husband faith.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Need to say I'm not speaking to her right now
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and in no way, shape or form my jealous or insecure.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Yes you are, you are very jealous and insecure. I
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: told my husband we will go to the funeral, take
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: gather and pay high respects you ain't even like the woman.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: What is your ass down there for? Why are you
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: at the funeral or somebody you don't even like? You know,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: ain't never been nobody funeral. I don't like man. He
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: seems a bit uneasy with my decision. He messed up
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: because damn, it's just about showing respect. The family would
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: like to see him do that for her. It ain't nothing.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: They had a relationship one time. There's nothing, no more
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: to it. But he does not want to keep staying
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: the pot and make me ain'try because you're crazy. I
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: would love to get your thoughts on this. Am I wrong? Please?
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Have I? Thank? You? All wrong? Now? You're insecure? Get
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: over it? She gone And now that she's gone, she
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: can't hurt you no more. Oh, let's get her told
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: what you want? She gone. You're tripping. He can't do nothing.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: He stared. Now he don't want to stay the pot.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: You trying to be big about it, but you can't.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: You can be the pall bear, but you been not
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: touch you cast don't look at it. You're gonna be
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: and view it, but you better not look in there.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Let me see your crying, Let me see I don't
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: care now you ain't caring these eulogies out of this
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: church with you either. You're not caring a damn thing
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: that You're not caring a eulogy out of here, out
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: this damn church. You ain't putting your hands on nothing.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: You touch your cask and you see what's happening. You
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: can't be the pall bear, but you've been not touch
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: your handle. You ain't caring no chicken over there after after,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: that's what you ain't can You ain't caring nothing over there.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: You ain't gonna care your grieving ass. No one here,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: I swear to God. Let me look over the cry cry,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: come down your damn cheek yea sh up in here
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: just fiddling you and hear crying? What do is you crying?
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: That's exactly why I came down to this funeral so

- 1:07:14Speaker 1: on this letter. This has touched a nerve the subject
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: my husband is not carrying her casket. A woman wrote
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: in she and her husband have been married for eight years,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: three beautiful children. One of her husband's longtime ex girlfriends
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: died over the weekend, and it was a shock, she
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: said to everyone, because it was really, really sudden. Her
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: husband's best friend is the deceased woman's cousin, so he's
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: the one that called to the house to break the
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: bad news. And the family wanted her husband to be
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: a pall bearer at her funeral because the woman who
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: died loved her husband until the day she died, and
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: wife he says, absolutely no, you will not be a
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: pall bearer. We will go to this funeral as a
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: family and pay our respects. Doug Right does have it going.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I don't know how she thought we was going. You
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: thought you're just gonna leave me and the kids at
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: the house. Why is you down that grieving? Well, honey,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: we were best friends. You know you was what we
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: were ex boyfriend and girlfriend. We did you just gonna
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: keep bringing this help? Well she's dead, now, what difference
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: does it make? I mean I couldn't go back to
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: her if I wanted to. I mean, um, she's dead,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: she's she's dead now she did. Let let let me
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: take this over. Sweet you you you ain't going nowhere?
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: But no, well listen to me. You're not going nowhere. Yah,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: you ain't fished to be. No, Pa bear, we in
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: this funeral together, But Connie, we were friends. Listen to me.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Listen to me. Was look at this past it we're
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: sitting up in here in this funeral. Look what is
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: his family looking over? What her family looking over here for? Well,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: yeah it's me. It's me. I don't need all that.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: It's me looking the wife right now. You understand sitting
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: up in hire past, the sitting up in here talking
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: about we missed her, and what he looked over here for?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Maybe that he was looking sitting up here talking about no,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: talking about she gone too soon. She didn't get abouty
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: here quick enough, for she ain't gone too soon. She
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: went right on here when the Lord wanted her to here.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: I can't stand with past to say that they're gone
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: too soon. Yeah, were sitting up in there on Suday.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: He's talking about to let the Lord will be done.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: It was yesterday, that's when she got about it hire
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: right when the Lord wanted her too. I don't see
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: what we're sitting up in here. I don't see why
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: anybody crying for anyway? Yeah, because we missed her. You
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: miss her. She wasn't that well liked. She was a
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: good person. My friends like her, yea, mostly because I
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: didn't like her. Now she gone and what is this
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: open casket? Oh my god? Well that hu So we
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: got to sit up here and look at this too.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: He wanted an open cat. I tell you, I don't
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: give damn what she wanted. Well, we wanted Clo sending
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: up in here putting all this. Why does she ain't
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: glitter lipstick? Fault? She had her lass kiss? Why does
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: she glitter lip chunk? Dressing up just like a little hustle.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: I can't stand the funeral. That's why I don't like
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: park of Funeral Home to this day. I always trying
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: to make you look mold than you dress on. What
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: is you looking at her? Fault? Now tell you what
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: listen to them. See how everybody going around viewing the body.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: You see that right there? Yes, we gotta do it too. No, No,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: when you go trot, you slow down and look at
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: that funeral and see what happened to your ants. Better
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: have your knees up by your neck. You you better
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: be stepping real tall around that part to slow down
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: and see what happened. You're gonna be over there in
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: it with him. I swear to God, if you stopped
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: to say something to I'm gonna slam your hands in
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: the cast. I might say, I miss her, you know,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: rest in peace. I might say, I bet I won't
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: miss you with this gun, say you miss her? I
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: bet I don't miss you. Might miss but yes, sistuh
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: what baby? What about the three minute remarks? We would
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: like for you know, your husband to say something you
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: come out but no, yes, Connie, yeah deceased. Yeah, I
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: wanted to say something. He ain't got three minutes say
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: about her. I can say all he got saved from
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the chair right here. Want to say, well, just yeah,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: talk about how how nice of a person she was
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: and how good of a how much we're gonna miss her?
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: If they was that nice? They wouldn't have broke up.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: People break up for reasons. You gets out of a
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: relationship for reasons. Obviously they had a reason. Y'all sitting
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: the been talking about how nice she was. She went
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: nice to him. Can the husband can Bernard ride in
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: the family car? Know what you come up? What you're
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: trying to get me killed? Carl? If but not ride
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: in any car? If with her, it'd be that damn hearse.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: She can scoot that. It is what she could do
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: if I touch his answering that car crime whatever? Fat
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: asked mamma leaning on my husband, And if he hain't
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: in this car with me, the only old ride he
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: gonna be it, he's gonna be sitting up in that
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: hearse with her. That they're good people. They they just
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: asked me to be a Paul bearer. That's solved. Do
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: listen to me. You're not fishing to carry nothing with
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: her in it? Do yell understand me? You been not
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: care pursed down here for them and for them to
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: lay in the case. Can I ask the question of
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: gun what the repass? Can y'all go by the repass?
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: We're not doing no carrying. Didn't you just see me repairs.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: When you sit around and food reminisce, you're reminisced and
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: talk about reminisce. I wish you would reminisce, because I
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: wish you would ram on this and see what happened
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you somewhere and listen over this half and see what
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: happened to you. Connie. That's not a good look. Now,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: you know, we got calling my name, Connie. We got
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: three kids, Connie, we got three kids. Y'all got no keys, no,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: and you ain't gonna had no kids now, naw. Just
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: what I was waiting though my life a peace. Now
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: I've been worried about just half all these years. Well
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: you sound a little insecure, baby, I don't. I ain't
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: ese kid. All right, listen, we gotta get out of here. Uh,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: coming up in the top of Coming up in the
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: top of the hour, we'll tell you about the medical
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: marijuana ad that CBS has banned from the Super Bowl
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana is in the
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: we business. We'll talk about it right after this. You're
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: listening to the String Show, all right, So did you
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: guys hear about the medical marijuana and cannabis? Adds a
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: CBS band from the super Bowl. Yeah. This is according
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: to timz Now, the ad produced by Acreage Holdings. It's
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: a marijuana and cannabis investment firm. Was willing to pay
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: get this five million dollars for the spot, but CBS
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: flat flat out turned it down. Because we're right, five million,
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: five million, Give me five million. I'll run the spot
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: right now. I'll be in a commercial I ain't never
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: had we Yeah, but CBS turned it down because we're
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: told that they don't allow any marijuana adds on the air.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: The ad profiles three people, a boy who had hundreds
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: of seizures a day that were not abated by traditional medicine,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: and they had another one about a man addicted to opioids,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: and then a veteran who was in severe pain after
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: his leg was amputated. All say medical marijuana made life livable. Liabow,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: but the super Bowl won't let him heir it. Yeah,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: sound like I should have been in the commercial. Yeah, sickness,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: you have thought about it though at might help. Yeahs
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: are real though cannabis soils. That stuff is real, Julian,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I don't know if it's a help, but I don't,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: you know, I'm a kid of that. Hell I try, man,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: I take a shot and then being taking bobble baths.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: If it do work, If it do work, I do
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: have to come to work. You known, you you already
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: high weighting the world. You're doing crisis. Well. The point
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: of the ad, guys is to push push for legalization
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: of medical marijuana on the federal level. Now, thirty states
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: have made medical marijuana use legal, but a federal law
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: would make a big, big difference. So that's why. Yeah,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I don't get what they do. They're gonna do it.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: It's gonna eventually happen because they found out a way
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: to make money on it. They taxed. Huh, so it's
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: gonna become legal. It's just like alcohol, Yeah that was legal.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: What's worse? Cigarettes? Man, are addictive and calmed cancer. Yeah.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: And somebody said, sugar. You know what the effects of sugar,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: sugar body, But cigarettes, so think about think about what
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: they do to a cigarette. Yeah. They dip it in nicotine,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: which is addictive, and and they put it on you. Man.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: You once you get it, you gotta have it. Yeahs cancer, yep,
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: to see that, that's crazy, man. Yeah, they've legalized it.
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: They legalized alcohol, which causes so many deaths. Man. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: yeah yeah. In other related news, you can call him
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: grow Montana now instead of Joe Montana because NFL Hall
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: of Famer Joe Montana is investing heavily in the weed business.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: He's sixty two years old. He's one of the major
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: investors of a company called uh Khaliva. It's a major
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: legal marijuana operation. It's out of San Jose, California. The
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: company not only grows weed, it also sells everything from
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: joints to bake pins, and even marijuana beverages. Wow, I've
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: never even heard of that. You know how how you
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: would be if they put marijuana in kole? Oh yeah, drink?
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I haven't I know,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: vait pins, joints, marijuana beverages. I've heard of um edible. Yeah. Well,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: what you ain't gonna worry about this shoe because you can't,
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: So I'm good. Ain't nobody? Then it's not it's something
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: wrong with whatever. Man, that's crazy. Yeah, I don't know
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: what the beverage. Yeah, making my own. It's legal, it
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: is right, especially in California. It's just been illegal for
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: so long. It's just hard to remember sometimes that it
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: is legal, you know, on the state level. Anyway. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: it's weird. It is, it is, it is. It is weird.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: It's a weird feeling. What Yeah, but it is. It's
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: a weird feeling now that marijuana is illegal. That's okay. Yeah, No,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: I don't come on, you know, don't know. No, I
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: don't keep talking, keep talking. It's really good. It isn't weird,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: that's all. Well, if you had heard the beginning of
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: the conversation, my co wasn't smoke, Well I don't, so
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: you don't have to believe it. I heard get in
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: a conversation. Yeah, we were talking about how strange it
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: is now that marijuana is legal. That's all it's. And
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: then when you say it's a weird feeling, Yeah, it's
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: a weird feeling to even be saying it and talking
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: about Yeah, I knew what you meant. Shirley, we were.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: We were on the same page. I know, we were guys,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: you know, we were. Me and Shirley were on the
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: same page. Smoke morning, did not? She says she feels weird,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Come on, do it? No, no, no, well it's illegal.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: So anyway, whatever it is. Speaking of the pothead's leg,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: that's the second time you said that. You can't his
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: as no all his clothes, man, like we j be
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: in your car. You're gonna he man roll it. I
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: know he smoked. Well, I don't know. I worked with him.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: He repeats himself seven times. What I forgot? What I
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: just say? You man, you put that dope down. You
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: can remember such stuff. You said, what I just said?
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: What you just say? It? All right, listen, we'll be back.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Ignorance you're listening to show. Well, guys are surveyed by
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: Frido Lay finds that ninety percent of people will have
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: at least one snack during the big game, with eighty
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: percent of those yeah, yeah, at least one snack. I
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: didn't say that was it. I'm just saying at least
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: one they'll have, with eighty percent of those people snacking
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: on either potato chips or tortilla chips. And when it
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: comes to dips, salsa is the number one dip for
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: game day snacking. Okay, yet the gate, Oh yeah yeah,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: that's goitely great. Although French onion is the most popular

- 1:22:28Speaker 1: It doesn't taste anything like that. Don't be thick and creamy.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: It was loose. We don't like our stick with damn
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: it I do. You're just eating an egg drinking an
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: eggs some stuff. Man, you just have to buy. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: So French onion dip is the most popular for potato chips.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Of course, where you live may influence your Super Bowl
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: snacking decisions. Like saucy. Yeah, we make out and then

- 1:23:13Speaker 1: I just want the saucer with the chimp you make.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: We put eggs in it. I said, are you finished making? Yeah?
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I said. We don't like them little bitty chunks. We
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: like anything, big chunks. I can't stand. It's stuff that
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: you're not supposed to make. Just bad. Okay, Well, people
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: in Los Angeles are the biggest lovers of chips. They
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: love chips. People in Dallas love you like chips. We
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: make our ship raw potato sending them in it. Man
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: ain't no crunch to hard you chewing them. It's like
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: wet potatoes. Oh dog. And I can't stand that. People
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: in Dallas like chips, Miami, New York City and DC. Meanwhile,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: Boston fans are more likely to pick tortilla chip for
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: the big game instead of potatoes. Like wings, we make
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: it our own. Go ahead, we make our Yes, we
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: do you use chicken? What do they use it? We
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: make our own way. Do you taste to take you
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: just like you? We don't use like. We don't use chicken.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: You make wing and don't use chip. That's crazy. Let's
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: see fans in Houston and Atlanta also like tortilla chips.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: And then there's Chicago. It has its own favorite snacks Chicagoans.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Chicagoans love popcorn, popcorn popcorn? You like potato salad. We
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: bought yea the one thing you got it back to
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: make potatoes. You Yeah, we bought that. You know what
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: I don't like though? I love wings, but I cannot
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: stand Swedish meatball. I can't stand them. I'm not a
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: fan of all Right, we'll be back with more of
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Ray J. You know
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: we love us and ray J. Ray J has just
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: flipped his scootie bike business to a Canadian ride sharing
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: company called loop Share. Ray J reportedly received seven figures
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: in that deal. Stave yes, Yes, yes. The e bikes
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: and scooters, which include a sit down model, a Vespa
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: style unit, and a standalone scooter. They will start popping
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: up in the US and Canada with plans for global expansion.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: He's gonna take over the world with these scootie bikes.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Ray J didn't cash out, He just didn't, you know,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: cash out and dip. He controls nineteen million shares and
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: will apparently play a key role in strategy. Steve, what
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: do you think about that. I mean, you know, I
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: don't know the particular, but congratulations to the business. This gangster,
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: it really is making it happen. You know. Nineteen millions,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: yeah man, yeah, a share worth of dollars that nineteen million.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: But you think, James Man, I hope if a share
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: worth for dollars that nineteen million. Let men said what
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: you think one time nineteen I'm just Lujulia, I'm just saying,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: what do you think? One time's nineteen? And I mean
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: know when it goes public, you know, that's what he
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: would own, his nineteen million shares if he can maintain
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: his amount of shares as that divest, you know, when
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: they take on more money, sometimes your shares get diluted.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: But what he's done is a brilliant business movement. Congratulations. However,
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: they delute that could become more valuable than that. You know,
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: Let's say, let's say to get up around the funding.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: I'm just talking hypothetical. Let's say ray Jel has nineteen
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: million shares and they raise fifty million to really blow
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: the company up global. They take on fifty million, but
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: he has to give up some of his shares. So
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: let's say he gives up nine million shares and he
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: keeps ten million. But let's say it turns into an ipo.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Let's just say they go out for ten dollars a shar.
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: They just got one hundred million dollars. Wow, wow wow, Okay,
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: go ahead, well yeah, wa way to go. Ray my
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: new friend and Princess Love. He makes families and he
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: makes money. You do, all right, guys, switching gears. We're
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: gonna talk about this story and other news. Covington Catholic
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: High School reopened yesterday as police continued to respond to
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: threats and suspicious packages delivered to the school in the
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: wake up last weekend's showdown between students and Native American
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: Nathan Phillips. Phillips was interviewed on The Today Show this morning,
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: a day after Savannah Guthrie sat down with sixteen year
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: old Nick Sandman to get his side of the story.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Philip said he watched some of Salmon's interview and thought
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: it was coached and written up for him, adding that
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: it showed insincerity and a lack of responsibility. Philip said
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: he was trying to break up a tense encounter between
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: the students and members of the Black Hebrew Israelites He
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: says he tried to walk peacefully through the crowd, chanting
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: a prayer for peace, but was quickly surrounded by the
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: students and couldn't move. All right, Steve coming up our
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: last break of the day, closing remarks, Okay, get ready
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: people right after this. You're all right, Steve. Here we are,
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Friday. Take us
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: home today. I'm still committed to trying to uplift everybody.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: I really want to share, not teach. I want to
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: share with you all, just some things I've learned and understand.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I don't know at all, and I don't think I
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: know more than you. It's just that I've learned in
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: my life that repetition is sometimes good. Somebody told me
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: one time that there's a scripture. I don't know where
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: it is, but it says something to the effect that
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: faith comes from hearing, not from having heard. I didn't
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: understand that until I got older. Faith comes from here,
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: not having heard. Sometimes you've heard something in the past
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: but it didn't quite connect, but all of a sudden,
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: you hear it at a particular time in your life,
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: and oh my god, it's like it's like a brand
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: news phrase. It's almost like you've never heard it before,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: but it clicked. The lightbulb turns on. So that's what
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: I was taught that faith comes from hearing, not from
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: having heard. So sometimes repetition is good in why sayings
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: or understanding a scripture because at a particular time in
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: your life, it's so valuable to you because it happens
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: right when you need it to hear. So, in my
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: commitment to uplift people this year, I've decided to day
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: to talk to you about another mindset that you have
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: to develop to get to where you're going, and that
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: is to elevate your thinking. You've got to elevate your thinking.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: You have got to think above your current circumstance because
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: where you are now, the moment you say now, as
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: soon as you get through saying now, that moment that
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: you claimed as now is gone. So what I want
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: you to do is I want you to start thinking
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: beyond today because for the majority of us, tomorrow is
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: going to come. For the majority, tomorrow is going to come.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: So I want you to elevate your thinking so that
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: you can have a better tomorrow. And what I mean
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: by that is I want you to up your ask
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: when you're talking to God. From now on, up your
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: ask the things you've been asking God for. I want
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: you to think about it, Elevate it, expand on it.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Blowing up is not too big for God. It may
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: seem tremendous for you, it's nothing for him, it's absolutely nothing.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: It's a wave overhead. It's to blink over now. It's
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: a mere emotion. To him, it's nothing. It's it's an afterthought.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: He does amazing things, but you've got to call on
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: him to get to gain access to all this amazing stuff.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: There's a scripture that says you have not because you
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: ask not, And simply what that means is just what
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: it says, you have not because you ask not. Most
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: people don't have the life of their dreams because they
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: never ask God for it. Now you think about that,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: what have you been asking him for? If you've constantly
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: been asking for rent? Don't he always give it to you?
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: Don't you somehow always manage to come up with the rent?
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: Might be a little bit late, but don't you come
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: up with it? Yeah? You do. Suppose you change that.
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: Just ask for a mortgage? Why would he not give
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: it to you? It's just some money to where you stay.
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: It's all it is. So if you keep asking for rent,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: you're gonna get rent. But if you ask God for
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: a mortgage, you give you a mortgage. But you have
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: not caused, you asked, not you got to up your ass.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: Let me show you something. This is not bragging, but
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: I want to show you something. You're listening to a
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: person who's been at just about every economic state. So
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: at one point in time, I kept asking God. I said, God, Man,
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: I show want to see another zero in my income,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: if you could just give me another another zero. So
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: I was making you know, some thousands back then, right
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: in a year. I've had years where I've made four
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: thousand dollars. I've had years where I've made seven thousand dollars.
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: I've had years where I've made eight thousand and five
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: hundred dollars. I've had some lean years in this comedy thing.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: So I asked God, man, if I could just get
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: another zero. But you know what I did to zero
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: kicked me up to ten thousand, and from eight thousand
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: to ten thousand spread out over the year, I did
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: not really see a big jump in my lifestyle because
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: to two thousand dollars. It elevated it, but it wasn't
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: quite what I wanted, and so I just kept asking
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: for zero. Do you know what happened? One day I
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: was talking to this very, very wealthy guy and I
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: told him my theory of praying for the zeros. He said,
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: you're praying too small. I said, what do you mean?
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: He said, you praying too small? You asking for zeros?
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: He said, if you get another zero from ten thousand,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: you half one hundred thousand dollars. He said, that ain't
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: where you want to be. He said, why don't you
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: ask God for some commas? I said what he said?
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: Why you keep asking for zeros? Commas? Change your life?
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: Ask God for calma us. Elevate your thinking. When I
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: went from asking God from zeros to commas, do you
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: know he gave me another comma. Do you know what
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: that did for my life? Do you know what it
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: would do for yours? But you can't get it unless
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: you ask. You have not because you asked. Now, elevate
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: your thinking in this year. If you up your ask,
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: he will up his guilt. It's a fact. It's not
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: a theory of mind. It's a fact. You have not
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: cause your ass not. Those are my closing remarks. Drop it.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: I'm telling drop it a comma man. Have a good
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: weekend for real, y'all, have a great weekend. For all
