- 0:08Speaker 1: I don't have a suit on looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them move like theming buck bus things and its cubs.
- 0:19Speaker 1: True good it Steve has listening to together for STU. Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't joy joining me. You gotta turn, you gotta
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn, got to turn out to turn, turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water. Come come on your baby, uh huh,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shall will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice?
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man o man o, man I
- 2:16Speaker 1: just I have to tell you this. How good is
- 2:22Speaker 1: the god I served? How amazing is he here? It is?
- 2:33Speaker 1: It is your determination and your effort. Listen to me carefully.
- 2:40Speaker 1: It is your determination and your effort. I think that
- 2:46Speaker 1: the average person, and I'm not knocking you, I just
- 2:49Speaker 1: want you to hear me out. I think what stops
- 2:52Speaker 1: the average person from becoming successful is that we don't
- 2:56Speaker 1: realize the effort that it takes. And that's just truth.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I found that to be so true in my life
- 3:05Speaker 1: and my talking to people and meeting people, and people
- 3:08Speaker 1: aren't asking me questions about it, and me trying to
- 3:10Speaker 1: figure out the way myself. I don't think that you
- 3:15Speaker 1: really can comprehend the effort that it takes to become successful.
- 3:21Speaker 1: This is the thing that you have to wrap your
- 3:23Speaker 1: mind around very quickly if you want to be successful
- 3:27Speaker 1: on any level, in any area. The dream is the beginning.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Good Lord, let me tell you something. The determination and
- 3:35Speaker 1: effort is massive. You cannot be overly concerned with sleep.
- 3:44Speaker 1: If you are a person who is always concerned about sleep,
- 3:48Speaker 1: get success out your mind. A fit to happen partner
- 3:51Speaker 1: is not fit to happen. You cannot be that concerned
- 3:55Speaker 1: about sleep. Now listen to me. You have to get
- 3:58Speaker 1: your rest. But this was my philosophy. I'm just sharing
- 4:03Speaker 1: you with what how I did it. My philosophy was
- 4:08Speaker 1: I stopped being concerned about sleep. I got my rest,
- 4:13Speaker 1: but I got just enough to get back to it,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and I got back on the grind to hop into hustle.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I got just enough rest so I could go and
- 4:26Speaker 1: put forth some more effort. But listen to me, you
- 4:30Speaker 1: cannot sleep a third of your life away and expect
- 4:34Speaker 1: to become successful if you're not already successful. If you
- 4:38Speaker 1: are asleep for eight hours, that is a third of
- 4:40Speaker 1: your day. You cannot be asleep a third of your
- 4:44Speaker 1: life and expect to get successful. Not after you get successful.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You know, you learn as you go to work smarter,
- 4:53Speaker 1: not harder. So as you get successful, you may have
- 4:57Speaker 1: eight hours available to you. But the way up there,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I don't see how you can do it, I promise you.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I don't now, I don't. Maybe somebody can come forward.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I did it out. Yeah, probably lying, But okay, tell
- 5:08Speaker 1: your story because everybody I know that's successful that I've
- 5:14Speaker 1: sat down ahead real talks with they wasn't concerned with sleeping.
- 5:19Speaker 1: You cannot be concerned with sleeping if you want to
- 5:23Speaker 1: be successful. How how can this happen for you? Listen
- 5:27Speaker 1: to me. The effort that it requires is massive. It's
- 5:31Speaker 1: an all out of salt on your dream. Now you
- 5:33Speaker 1: got to make an assault. It's requires and all out
- 5:37Speaker 1: of salt on it. And you can't be sleeping. Fight
- 5:40Speaker 1: at the same time. You can't fight when you sleep. Man.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I wish I could get y'all understand this right here.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Understand that the effort that is required to be successful
- 5:50Speaker 1: will take everything you have, and when you think you've
- 5:54Speaker 1: given your all, it's gonna require some more. The quality
- 5:59Speaker 1: of your chill is amazing. See that's okay. Listen, what
- 6:04Speaker 1: is sitting around having a bill every day? Fault? What? What?
- 6:08Speaker 1: What are sitting around smoking weed for every day? Fault?
- 6:11Speaker 1: Come on, man, for real, But if you took that beer,
- 6:16Speaker 1: drinking weed smoking chill time and apply it to progressing
- 6:20Speaker 1: yourself towards your dream. When you do carve out a vacation,
- 6:26Speaker 1: guess where you be able to go. Guess what part
- 6:29Speaker 1: of the world you can go? See guess how you
- 6:31Speaker 1: can chill now? Now I'm instead of you just driving
- 6:33Speaker 1: every year your family to the family union, sit at
- 6:36Speaker 1: the same picnic table. Everybody pull their money in. Two
- 6:40Speaker 1: ten families don't never pull they money in. They down
- 6:42Speaker 1: there eating like y'all eating. You got attitude because the
- 6:46Speaker 1: day or they side don't ever chip in, And no
- 6:48Speaker 1: they down they eating the extra potatoes are making place.
- 6:51Speaker 1: You're not not harguing about this every year for real? Man,
- 6:54Speaker 1: they ain't got the T shirt money. You know they
- 6:57Speaker 1: got to say a T shirt, don't They ain't put
- 6:59Speaker 1: it in? Really, man, so so so so so you
- 7:03Speaker 1: want that to be it every year? Or do you
- 7:05Speaker 1: want this year I'm taking my family to New Orleans
- 7:10Speaker 1: or I'm taking my family see the Grand Canyon. I'm
- 7:13Speaker 1: taking my family down to the beach this year, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: me and my family gonna go sight See. We're gonna
- 7:18Speaker 1: go ride a coup the river on Chicago. Me and
- 7:20Speaker 1: my family gonna go skiing this year, and me and
- 7:23Speaker 1: my family going out to La Man, we're gonna we're
- 7:25Speaker 1: gonna go out there for the weekend. You know, you
- 7:27Speaker 1: know it can happen like that. But if you ain't working,
- 7:30Speaker 1: listen to me. Average effort gets average results. See. Ordinary
- 7:41Speaker 1: effort gets ordinary results. But if you put forth an
- 7:47Speaker 1: extra effort. See, the only difference between extraordinary and ordinary
- 7:52Speaker 1: is one word, that's extra. If you do extra, you
- 7:56Speaker 1: can take ordinary right on over to extraordinary. Do you
- 8:00Speaker 1: understand you have to have a massive assault on your dreams.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Quit sitting up in here, man, trying to chill all
- 8:06Speaker 1: the time. I'm sorry, man, I wish I could tell
- 8:08Speaker 1: you another way, but it ain't one. I didn't talk
- 8:11Speaker 1: to jay Z about this. I wouldn't talk Samuel all
- 8:14Speaker 1: about this. I didn't talked to said about this. I
- 8:16Speaker 1: didn't talk I have talked to the President of the
- 8:19Speaker 1: United States. I've had a conversation with him about his effort.
- 8:24Speaker 1: You look at this. You cannot become successful with our effort.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You cannot be concerned about sleep. Here's what I did. Now.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You can take it from me, or you can try
- 8:37Speaker 1: it your way. But when you get through trying it,
- 8:39Speaker 1: this is what you're gonna have to do. I wasn't
- 8:42Speaker 1: concerned about how much sleep I got. I just had
- 8:45Speaker 1: to get my rest. And once I got enough rest
- 8:49Speaker 1: to get up and get the task done, I got up.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Somebody sent me a tweet the other day, a partner
- 8:58Speaker 1: of mine. He's someone to see if I can pull
- 9:01Speaker 1: it up while I'm talking to you. But he just
- 9:03Speaker 1: sent me a little sign, just what, nothing, just a
- 9:05Speaker 1: little something to say, Hey man, I ran across this,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I thought about you, and I sent it to you.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It said, no alarm clock needed, My passion wakes me.
- 9:18Speaker 1: He said, no alarm clock needed, My passion wakes me.
- 9:24Speaker 1: That's what you got to be about. You gotta take
- 9:27Speaker 1: that dream. You gotta get passionate about it, and you
- 9:30Speaker 1: gotta get awake, and you got to get up and
- 9:32Speaker 1: get at it, and you gotta put it forth. A
- 9:34Speaker 1: massive assault on your dream. Your effort has got to
- 9:37Speaker 1: be extraordinary. If you put forth extraordinary. If you put
- 9:40Speaker 1: forth extra effort, you go from ordinary to extraordinary. That's
- 9:45Speaker 1: the deal. You think it's another way, If you got
- 9:48Speaker 1: another way, could you please email it to me, Steve
- 9:51Speaker 1: Harvey doctor, let me know so I can slow down.
- 9:53Speaker 1: So I don't know no other way. All right, you're

- 13:54Speaker 1: answers them. And I would like to ask you, Steve
- 13:57Speaker 1: at this point to please keep your answers a short
- 14:00Speaker 1: as possible so we could get more questions in. Yeah,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and once again, you can ask all you want. I
- 14:12Speaker 1: asked Donald Trump not to be president, but he is.
- 14:17Speaker 1: You can't get it. You can't get everything you want
- 14:20Speaker 1: right right, right right? Yeah, it just happens. All right,
- 14:26Speaker 1: So Steve, we're starting out. You ready, what's your favorite
- 14:32Speaker 1: room in the house. Okay, what's your favorite room in
- 14:35Speaker 1: the house, The kitchen or the bedroom. No, kitchen or bedroom.
- 14:39Speaker 1: You have to choose between those two. It's not in there,
- 14:44Speaker 1: kitchen or the bedroom. Bath room ain't in now, no, sir,
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm justsappointed to be exact. The toilet area. Oh goodness,
- 15:05Speaker 1: all right, come on, junior, you got a question. So
- 15:07Speaker 1: the quick kitchen or the bad room? Yes, yes, your
- 15:12Speaker 1: favorite room, well, then it would be the bad room.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Bad room. Huh? Care to elaborate? Well, you know, because
- 15:22Speaker 1: when I'm not sleeping, I'm trying to get put your sleep.
- 15:26Speaker 1: That come on, all right? So you know, at last
- 15:35Speaker 1: week you went on the ram about the movie Joker.
- 15:37Speaker 1: You didn't you didn't really care for Joker. You know,
- 15:40Speaker 1: you didn't really care for the movie Joking, worse damn
- 15:42Speaker 1: movie of the year. But I want to ask you
- 15:47Speaker 1: if you was a superhero, what would be your superpower?
- 15:50Speaker 1: M but to be invisible? Oh? I like it? I
- 15:57Speaker 1: like it? Yeah? And why why? You know how many
- 16:03Speaker 1: people I want to just walk up to and just
- 16:05Speaker 1: haul off and slap their ass and they wouldn't know
- 16:09Speaker 1: it was you? Me too? Oh dog, I don't want
- 16:13Speaker 1: to be able to fly. None of that. You don't
- 16:16Speaker 1: off Paul building. I don't give a damn about going
- 16:19Speaker 1: under water for eight days. I ain't gonna do none
- 16:22Speaker 1: of that. If I could just walk up to you,
- 16:25Speaker 1: you see it's me being blink and become invisible and
- 16:30Speaker 1: slap your ass and walk off background, and you saw
- 16:34Speaker 1: it was me. Thank you. Come on, Carl, like you
- 16:39Speaker 1: got a question for Steve, we're doing. Ask Steve if
- 16:44Speaker 1: you could change one thing about your upbringing, what would
- 16:48Speaker 1: it be? I didn't get no whippers? Oh yeah, who
- 16:57Speaker 1: you are though? Life without beatings? Right? Well? Who we
- 17:01Speaker 1: got to Tommy? I'd have just been somebody else then.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Kids today don't know how good they have it. Yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 1: what's your question? I'm just kidding about the spanking that
- 17:19Speaker 1: that ain't the one that I would have done. I
- 17:20Speaker 1: wouldn't have picked spanking, really, but I just thought for
- 17:23Speaker 1: complety purposes it would have made sense. But not really. No, Oh,
- 17:28Speaker 1: what's your inc I don't know. I think probably you
- 17:34Speaker 1: know probably I don't. They're not short like I didn't.
- 17:40Speaker 1: I didn't think I had to be it. I don't
- 17:42Speaker 1: think I had to be as pole. You had a
- 17:47Speaker 1: chart and another little you know, i't mind. I ain't
- 17:55Speaker 1: mind a little bit of poverty. But yeah, but you know,
- 17:57Speaker 1: but what we was doing thought but look at you
- 18:02Speaker 1: now I did you Now? Yeah, all right, I got one.
- 18:09Speaker 1: This one been on my man because I'm just curious
- 18:11Speaker 1: when a black woman can make a man move out
- 18:14Speaker 1: of his grandmama's castle, renounce his throne, move to Canada.
- 18:20Speaker 1: What did she say? What did this black woman say? No,
- 18:25Speaker 1: it ain't what she said. No, it's not what she's saying.
- 18:29Speaker 1: What is it ain't gonna do what she said? Right,
- 18:33Speaker 1: it's what she said after she did what she did?
- 18:37Speaker 1: What did she did? What she do? What all? I
- 18:45Speaker 1: make it radio friendly? In the words of my daddy,
- 18:49Speaker 1: put don't you grandmama? That one word tell you something?
- 19:02Speaker 1: And it's and it's this. It's one word. P u
- 19:05Speaker 1: t o n y a putnia. That's all it is. Answer.
- 19:17Speaker 1: This is kind of a similar question. But uh, I
- 19:20Speaker 1: wanted to ask you, Steve, how would your life be
- 19:23Speaker 1: different if you were born white? White? Steve Man, w Steve,
- 19:32Speaker 1: that's an impossible question. You can't you can't be a
- 19:36Speaker 1: white Steve Harvey. You just came on. It's too much,
- 19:40Speaker 1: too much rich. Oh, you can't furst of all. You
- 19:45Speaker 1: will be dead because there's no way you could have
- 19:53Speaker 1: lived sixty three years as a white man and ben
- 19:56Speaker 1: why being and saying what I said, thank you possible?
- 20:02Speaker 1: There's no way. Do you know the stopings you would
- 20:05Speaker 1: have hand to take? You can't be a white meat.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You don't want to stop out and say, you know,
- 20:10Speaker 1: places out of being and shid it. Man, the deep
- 20:16Speaker 1: dog dirty parts of the hood, talking trash. Can't do that. Man,
- 20:21Speaker 1: I've enjoyed my life. One of my great joys of
- 20:23Speaker 1: my life has been being black. Okay, okay, all right
- 20:27Speaker 1: out head and that thank you gee, all right coming
- 20:32Speaker 1: up and the nephew in the building would run that
- 20:35Speaker 1: bread back. And that's coming up right after this you're
- 20:39Speaker 1: listening show coming up at the top of the hour,
- 20:45Speaker 1: Entertainment news. We're gonna tell you about music's biggest night,
- 20:48Speaker 1: the sixty second Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday, hosted by
- 20:52Speaker 1: Alicia Keys. And there is also drama with the Grammys,
- 20:55Speaker 1: including ugly allegations with a lawsuit pending. We'll get into that.
- 21:00Speaker 1: We'll talk about all these stories at the top of
- 21:02Speaker 1: the hour, but right now, it is time for the
- 21:04Speaker 1: nephew to run that prank back what you got for
- 21:06Speaker 1: his nev Your wife is fine as hey, it's crazy god.

- 25:39Speaker 1: Tommy is the one that said your wife was fine
- 25:42Speaker 1: as hell. That's the one brought all into our attention
- 25:44Speaker 1: at the meeting. Tommy is the one that said your
- 25:46Speaker 1: wife was fine as hell though frommy just Tommy, Tommy

- 27:09Speaker 1: is it? Darrel? It's Steve Harvey with Nephew talking. How
- 27:16Speaker 1: do you feel about that? I feel nervous, But that's
- 27:21Speaker 1: what I feel like. I feel nervous or good words, Junior. Yeah,
- 27:24Speaker 1: always does. If I don't go too far, then we're
- 27:30Speaker 1: not doing anything right right your wife aside as, Hell,
- 27:34Speaker 1: ain't too far. That's right there where we need to be.
- 27:38Speaker 1: That's actually Is that not a compliment? Exactly? Man? God Donson,
- 27:44Speaker 1: I mean you can talk somebody. I want you to
- 27:46Speaker 1: continue down this road. Why in twenty twenty, because it's
- 27:51Speaker 1: gonna be the year right here, just stay right for
- 27:53Speaker 1: you at this nice start for twenty twenty. You're talking
- 27:57Speaker 1: to me about their talking to me and about their wives.
- 28:00Speaker 1: This is the perfect start to twenty twenty promise you
- 28:03Speaker 1: won't see twenty. That brings me to another quarter. Since
- 28:06Speaker 1: we just finished, asked Steve, not too long ago. Can
- 28:08Speaker 1: I just ask you one question? How long should you
- 28:11Speaker 1: date somebody before you meet the spot? Wait? What stupid,
- 28:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that one more time. How long should
- 28:25Speaker 1: you date somebody before you meet the spot? Yeah? Now you,
- 28:31Speaker 1: they always say, asked Steve. I'm asking as try to
- 28:36Speaker 1: meet the man as soon as possible that day so
- 28:40Speaker 1: you can get a clear understanding of what they hell.
- 28:44Speaker 1: All right, listen coming up at the time of the
- 28:47Speaker 1: hours and entertaining and national news and maybe even more,
- 28:51Speaker 1: asked Steve, right after this, you're listening. Meek mill Old,
- 29:00Speaker 1: John Legend, and DJ Khaled are just a few of
- 29:03Speaker 1: the artists who will be part of the all star
- 29:05Speaker 1: tribute to the late Nipsey Hustle at the sixty second
- 29:08Speaker 1: Annual Grammy Awards this coming Sunday. Also, the night is
- 29:11Speaker 1: shaping up to be one of the one of music's
- 29:14Speaker 1: most memorable nights. Performers include Lizzo, Errol Smith, Her Camio Cabello,

- 29:46Speaker 1: Los Angeles. It'll be on CBS CBS. I hope they
- 29:50Speaker 1: give Charlie Wilson time, ample time, yeah, because if they
- 29:54Speaker 1: give him time, yeah, yeah, they are about to understand
- 30:03Speaker 1: what one of the best living performers really does. Charlie
- 30:07Speaker 1: Wilson is one of the best living performers alive today.
- 30:11Speaker 1: People have no idea, but they're gonna put their ball
- 30:13Speaker 1: on a national stage. And I hope they give him time.
- 30:16Speaker 1: It ain't just a snippet, yeah, because you know, the
- 30:18Speaker 1: Grammys don't really get Charlie Wilson. Yeah, yeah, Grammys don't.
- 30:22Speaker 1: They don't really get him. They don't know that they
- 30:26Speaker 1: will be showing one of the great living performers of
- 30:30Speaker 1: our time. But you know, long as they don't blay
- 30:33Speaker 1: him short, mister Wilson. Yeah, and he has a new single,
- 30:39Speaker 1: Steve that we're supporting call Forever Valentine. So I wonder,
- 30:43Speaker 1: like you said, is he just gonna do that song
- 30:47Speaker 1: or is he gonna do a whole set? I would
- 30:49Speaker 1: love to see a whole set at the Grammys with
- 30:51Speaker 1: Charlie Wilson. You're right, Stevenyne. I wish they would. I
- 30:56Speaker 1: wish they would. They'll learn something. Yeah, you're gonna get right.
- 31:01Speaker 1: They better keep this lineup just like surely read it. Okay,
- 31:12Speaker 1: let him with and and and with his voice. And
- 31:18Speaker 1: because I don't know no dude, I don't know no
- 31:21Speaker 1: dude that they could put in front of him today
- 31:24Speaker 1: that canuse sing it. I don't know him. Yeah, well
- 31:31Speaker 1: I'll be watching, Yeah about a living legend. Who yeah,
- 31:34Speaker 1: somebody tell me what man could they put in front
- 31:37Speaker 1: of him, just living that canuse sing it? No, I
- 31:39Speaker 1: don't know what I don't know. I mean yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 31:45Speaker 1: he's performance Julo, Mars, this group them some bad boys
- 31:50Speaker 1: them some bad boys right there, but buttle artists. And
- 31:56Speaker 1: he's an original. I mean he's just such an you know. Yeah. Yeah,
- 32:02Speaker 1: that's now okay, they can't do It's gonna be a moment.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Mean you say, life change not American, Ain't nobody So
- 32:12Speaker 1: you say, juniors should be Lizzo Arrowsmith, her Camillo Cabello
- 32:16Speaker 1: and then clear the stage for Charlie will What what
- 32:22Speaker 1: what what? Lizzo Arrowsmith, her Legends, Camilla Cabello, and then
- 32:34Speaker 1: Uncle Charlie Wilson. That's right. That's better that anything else
- 32:39Speaker 1: is gonna be a disaster, not a disaster. Better make
- 32:43Speaker 1: sure it's an all white audience. That's he gonna get them,
- 32:47Speaker 1: and he gonna get them too up they love Charlie. Yeah,
- 32:53Speaker 1: well that's it. Good luck Grammys. All right, Steve. Time
- 33:00Speaker 1: now for today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne Tripp,
- 33:04Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, thank you very much. This is
- 33:06Speaker 1: a trip with the news and yesterday's Senate inpeachment trial,
- 33:08Speaker 1: prosecutors from the House sought to outline what they say
- 33:11Speaker 1: was Donald Trump's corrupt scheme to abuse his power and
- 33:13Speaker 1: obstruct the Congress. Congressman Jason Crow says the whole case
- 33:17Speaker 1: the reason for the two articles of impeachment based on
- 33:19Speaker 1: Trump's alleged pressuring of Ukraine's president into investigating his expected
- 33:24Speaker 1: rival for the reelection bid Joe Biden, and also Biden's
- 33:27Speaker 1: son by withholding badly needed military aid and represented. Crow
- 33:31Speaker 1: says Trump was deliberate with it. The President personally made
- 33:34Speaker 1: this decision even after his own appointed advisers warned him
- 33:38Speaker 1: that it wasn't in our country's interest to withhold the
- 33:41Speaker 1: aid after overwhelming support in this Senate and against longstanding
- 33:46Speaker 1: policy even in his own administration. By the way, Crowe
- 33:49Speaker 1: is reportedly one of the congress persons who pushed hard
- 33:52Speaker 1: with Nancy Felosi to start an impeachment investigation. The President's lawyers, now,
- 33:56Speaker 1: by the way, get to tell his side the story
- 33:58Speaker 1: later this week. Each side has twenty four hours I
- 34:00Speaker 1: tell you that a couple of days ago, spread out
- 34:02Speaker 1: over days though, to present their case, and Leading House
- 34:05Speaker 1: Manager Adam Schiff says he knows that's a tedious amount
- 34:07Speaker 1: of testimony for the American people to wade through, but
- 34:10Speaker 1: Shifts said, while I'm maybe overwhelming, it's necessary. I recognize
- 34:13Speaker 1: there'll be times during the trial that you may long
- 34:15Speaker 1: to return to the business of the Senate. The American
- 34:18Speaker 1: people look forward to the same, but not before you
- 34:20Speaker 1: decide what kind of democracy that you believe we ought
- 34:23Speaker 1: to be. The Trump administration reportedly preparing to expand his
- 34:27Speaker 1: travel ban by adding restrictions to seven additional mostly Muslim
- 34:31Speaker 1: countries and a formal announcement to be made on Mondays
- 34:33Speaker 1: that would be the third anniversary of the Donald's original
- 34:36Speaker 1: travel ban, where it is the new restrictions will target Nigeria, Sudan, Sanzania, Eritrea,
- 34:42Speaker 1: me and mar Kurgistan and Belarus. At the same time,
- 34:45Speaker 1: BuzzFeed and Box report that a draft of a State
- 34:47Speaker 1: Department cable marks sensitive but unclassified, suggests that they're going
- 34:51Speaker 1: to be guidelines going into effect to keep pregnant illegal
- 34:54Speaker 1: immigrants from coming to this country on short term visas
- 34:57Speaker 1: to have their babies, so their babies are US citizens,
- 35:00Speaker 1: black and brown English citizens finally speaking out in articles
- 35:03Speaker 1: and on the radio and TV about what they said
- 35:05Speaker 1: was the mostly racist coverage given to Megan Markle, Even
- 35:08Speaker 1: actors like Hugh Grant said enough is enough. I'm rather
- 35:11Speaker 1: on Harry's side. I have to say, I think, if
- 35:14Speaker 1: you know, the tabloid press effectively murdered his mother. Now
- 35:17Speaker 1: they're tearing his wife to pieces. I think as a man,
- 35:20Speaker 1: it's his job to protect his family. So I'm I'm
- 35:23Speaker 1: with him. And when they say in those articles a
- 35:26Speaker 1: close friend says or a palace insider. There's no such
- 35:29Speaker 1: person and no such person news speaking, Andy Cohen. By
- 35:32Speaker 1: the way, finally you know, Wendy Williams is officially unhitched now.
- 35:35Speaker 1: She and her husband Kevin Splitt last year, which he
- 35:37Speaker 1: found out he had a child with his mistress. Wendy's
- 35:39Speaker 1: selling their Jersey mansion. The proceeds will be divided down
- 35:42Speaker 1: in the middle. She gets the couple's joint bank account,
- 35:44Speaker 1: a total ownership now of Wendy Williams production. So what
- 35:47Speaker 1: can I say? She's single, single, single. Now back to
- 35:52Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Mourning Show. You're listening to show, all right,
- 35:57Speaker 1: some trending food news. We are here. We here at
- 36:00Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Love food, all of us.
- 36:03Speaker 1: But there are a lot of foods we think are
- 36:05Speaker 1: from other countries that are actually invented in the good
- 36:08Speaker 1: old USA. And those are some of the most famous ones.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Like Fortune cookies invented right here. Yeah, it was actually
- 36:16Speaker 1: invented in San Francisco by a Japanese American baker. Did not, Steve,
- 36:23Speaker 1: I did taste good? They don't taste good. I like
- 36:28Speaker 1: them with chocolate, white chocolate on them, then they're good.
- 36:33Speaker 1: They don't. Surely, surely excuse me. Chocolate is the worst
- 36:39Speaker 1: thing you could put in your body. I absolutely know that.
- 36:42Speaker 1: But it tastes real good. That's all I'm saying. I'm
- 36:45Speaker 1: sorry for you a very wonderful health reason, and you
- 36:50Speaker 1: just do it. I know that. I don't eat it now,
- 36:56Speaker 1: but yeah I used to, and it's delicious. Orange chicken.
- 37:00Speaker 1: How about that one? That's good? Yeah? It was created
- 37:03Speaker 1: in Hawaii in nineteen eighty seven by Panda Express chef
- 37:08Speaker 1: Andy Ko or Kyle. I didn't know that. Wow, I
- 37:13Speaker 1: didn't know who came up with them, that crustation. Who
- 37:20Speaker 1: came up with them? The copy German chocolate cake German?
- 37:30Speaker 1: My mama, My mom, Yeah, my mama. I don't know
- 37:35Speaker 1: who made it before. I don't know who made it before.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Anybody make it? Like Hurdle it lost Vera Harvey, greatest
- 37:42Speaker 1: piece of German chocolate cake on the planet. I have
- 37:48Speaker 1: German chocolate, but anyway, it has nothing to do with Germany. Uh.
- 37:52Speaker 1: It's because of its name Samuel German that it's called
- 37:56Speaker 1: German Blad. People that perfected it. Oh, yes, hello that coconut. Yeah,
- 38:07Speaker 1: we've had a lot taken from us so hey, ride
- 38:10Speaker 1: of that. We took we took the cake. Okay, okay,
- 38:19Speaker 1: we love German chocolate cake, all right. English muffins, English
- 38:23Speaker 1: muffins from England, from England. They were actually invented in
- 38:28Speaker 1: New York City in nineteen eighty four by English immigrant
- 38:32Speaker 1: Samuel Bass Thomas. They were rich, they were. Let me
- 38:37Speaker 1: give you some real dishes that was created right here
- 38:40Speaker 1: in America. Okay, come on, what's you guys? Shitless? YEA
- 38:46Speaker 1: work it out boy? Whether they want to be a
- 38:48Speaker 1: not fried spram, yes, hot dogs and parking beans American dish.
- 39:02Speaker 1: All right, there you have it. Coming up At thirty
- 39:05Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour impeachment hearing, its marathon continues.
- 39:09Speaker 1: We'll tell you about the sleepy senators fell asleep during
- 39:11Speaker 1: the trial right after this. It was all night long.
- 39:15Speaker 1: We'll be right back. You're listening to show well, the
- 39:20Speaker 1: marathon of the Senate impeachment trial is a very long one.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Yesterday we saw opening arguments and President Trump's counsel had
- 39:27Speaker 1: twenty four argues to argue, twenty four hours excuse me
- 39:30Speaker 1: to argue their case. Members of the Senate had sixteen
- 39:33Speaker 1: hours to ask questions and vote on whether they want
- 39:36Speaker 1: to call any witnesses. Now, this impeachment trial is all
- 39:40Speaker 1: day and all night long. We noticed the sleepy senators.
- 39:44Speaker 1: First to doze off was Republican Senator from Idaho, Jim Rish.
- 39:49Speaker 1: He cradled his head in his hands and shut his eyes. Steve,
- 39:54Speaker 1: Holy thing was missing was a hair wreck. Yeah, I
- 40:02Speaker 1: didn't say if people do that at church? Right there?
- 40:06Speaker 1: He shut his eyes. Then Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
- 40:10Speaker 1: closed his eyes several times, and his body started to
- 40:13Speaker 1: lean forward, but he caught himself. I'd been just shelted back.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Democratic Senator Kristen Gillibrand uh dozed off and then startled
- 40:28Speaker 1: herself and started writing something. Then she got up and
- 40:34Speaker 1: walked out for a minute and get herself to get there. Okay,
- 40:38Speaker 1: she went outside to get a pepper. Mit, my girl, Steve,
- 40:48Speaker 1: I already know the answer to this, but I'm gonna
- 40:50Speaker 1: ask it for the people who don't. Have you ever
- 40:53Speaker 1: fallen asleep at work during an important meeting? He ain't
- 40:58Speaker 1: got to answer that me and you can ask Vegas
- 41:01Speaker 1: what year was? I don't know. I remember the year
- 41:08Speaker 1: we was in his booth. No, we were on the
- 41:12Speaker 1: air line we were on the air live interviewing stairs
- 41:17Speaker 1: upstairs in the booth. Yes, Steve had the microphone in
- 41:22Speaker 1: his hands downstairs. We upstairs. All of a sudden we
- 41:28Speaker 1: heard this big the mic and him Fellow he was
- 41:34Speaker 1: on the Apple time he remember, remember he remember Timmy.
- 41:39Speaker 1: He didn't have any shoes on. He was leaning rubbing
- 41:43Speaker 1: his feet together in his showed up or Junior when
- 41:54Speaker 1: I woke up them too, white men were interviewing him.
- 41:57Speaker 1: When that mike hit the float and startled me and
- 42:01Speaker 1: I looked at him, and I didn't have a mic
- 42:03Speaker 1: in my hand. I thought it was FBI. My past
- 42:12Speaker 1: had finally called up to a minute. Don't tell you
- 42:18Speaker 1: was that the tables All night I was rolling, Julia,
- 42:24Speaker 1: I was killing and then we had to be I
- 42:26Speaker 1: think I told Sherlon them I was up about twenty
- 42:29Speaker 1: six thousand. Yeah, whoa, So I was rolling. Yeah. So
- 42:34Speaker 1: I couldn't come. So I gambled all the way to
- 42:38Speaker 1: three am, and I was time to go on the ALP.
- 42:40Speaker 1: We had to go to work at three am in
- 42:42Speaker 1: the morning. I left the table at two party old
- 42:49Speaker 1: time that got on the AD three you had here
- 42:54Speaker 1: for the interview you had in that white out pack
- 42:58Speaker 1: of coat because it was a little chilli and Aaron
- 43:00Speaker 1: think he had on a white hat and but no
- 43:02Speaker 1: shoes though. Junior just sucks rubbing his feet together. I
- 43:06Speaker 1: love that you've been Junior. She Junior, My feet was
- 43:16Speaker 1: tied because I had been at that craft table all night,
- 43:19Speaker 1: standing up standing up. Gators were starting to painch oh man,
- 43:28Speaker 1: oh man, it's crazy. I've never heard this. Lord. So
- 43:32Speaker 1: now when we watched the impeachment, here is we're gonna
- 43:34Speaker 1: live time and we used to go hard in Vegas. Man,

- 43:49Speaker 1: I didn't know who we two white dudes wom to
- 43:53Speaker 1: talk to me so embarrassing. I said that a lot

- 45:30Speaker 1: like I said, there's quite a few of US African
- 45:32Speaker 1: Americans right here who are fond of the Republican Party,
- 45:36Speaker 1: and you know we're reaching out, we're doing quite you know,
- 45:39Speaker 1: making phone calls and wanting to see can we count
- 45:41Speaker 1: on certain people to be at the polls with us?
- 45:44Speaker 1: You can't count on me. No, I'm not about to
- 45:46Speaker 1: be an Uncle Tom. No, I'm not voting for Donald Trump.
- 45:50Speaker 1: That's not gonna make you on Uncle Tom. Sorry. That
- 45:52Speaker 1: just means that you you like the Republican Party and
- 45:54Speaker 1: you support what they're doing. Yeah, I don't don't. I
- 45:57Speaker 1: don't support I don't support racism. So like that's a
- 46:00Speaker 1: black dude. Why would I vote for someone who that
- 46:02Speaker 1: doesn't have my interest? Like, no, I'm not voting for Trump.
- 46:05Speaker 1: How do you even get my number? Who would even think? No?
- 46:08Speaker 1: Con down? You know, maybe I can persuade you to
- 46:10Speaker 1: thinking and look at it in a different life. You know,
- 46:13Speaker 1: the Republican Party, they're doing some great things. They're doing
- 46:16Speaker 1: some great things for African Americans or employment is up.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I mean, you got to look at the positive side
- 46:21Speaker 1: of things, you know what I'm saying. And not only that,
- 46:24Speaker 1: you don't even sound like you believe that. You sound
- 46:27Speaker 1: like you're reading the script right now, Like do you
- 46:29Speaker 1: reason to believe that. Well, Jason, let me tell you this,
- 46:31Speaker 1: Not only that you know if we can count on you,
- 46:33Speaker 1: if I can get your verbal that we can count
- 46:35Speaker 1: on you, We're also gonna send you a T shirt

- 46:41Speaker 1: gonna send you that. What is like wearing Amica a
- 46:45Speaker 1: Great hat in my neighborhood with a goofy ass T shirt?
- 46:47Speaker 1: I'm not about to know if you're trying to bribe
- 46:50Speaker 1: my vote with a T shirt and a stupid at
- 46:54Speaker 1: All I'm saying is man, we're reaching out to African
- 46:56Speaker 1: Americans across the country, and we'll just keep saying that.
- 47:00Speaker 1: But like, you're not gonna get the black vote just
- 47:02Speaker 1: because you're black like that. No, Like that's how that works.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm not voting for Donald Trump. Have you given it
- 47:08Speaker 1: a chance? Have you thought about it? Have you? I
- 47:10Speaker 1: haven't thought about it. I know I'm my vote for
- 47:12Speaker 1: Donald Trump, but I don't know who is in the battle.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I don't know who's gonna be election. I know when
- 47:16Speaker 1: I get into the voters booth, if I see Donald
- 47:18Speaker 1: Trump name, I'm not checking it, I'm not marking it.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'm my circling it. I ain't vote for the man, Okay,
- 47:25Speaker 1: so you don't want to hurt I'm gonna do a hat. No,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I don't want your stupid hat. I could order a hat.
- 47:32Speaker 1: I don't want a hat with with Donald Trumps stupid name. No, Like,
- 47:35Speaker 1: do you not get that in my vote for Donald Trump?
- 47:37Speaker 1: But I mean it's a real pompular hat though I
- 47:39Speaker 1: think you'd like to make that. Yeah, you gotta be
- 47:42Speaker 1: I give about the stupid hat, dude, Like, do you
- 47:46Speaker 1: not get that hat? Is that? That's your selling point?
- 47:49Speaker 1: You're trying to sell on Donald Trump, and your selling
- 47:51Speaker 1: point is a hat. You know what? I knew it
- 47:53Speaker 1: was a boy. I know it's gonna answer this damn
- 47:55Speaker 1: phone up, but I never answer phone on them from people.
- 47:57Speaker 1: I know you really, man, how much already paying you
- 48:01Speaker 1: to see her and call other black people and try
- 48:04Speaker 1: to sell them on Donald Trump. Black man, you're the
- 48:06Speaker 1: dude in the back of Donald Trump, the one block
- 48:08Speaker 1: to the audience to sitting there with your goofy ass
- 48:11Speaker 1: hat on trying to make America great again. This is
- 48:14Speaker 1: a bullshite. Man's the damn phone. Okay. Sure, all I'm
- 48:18Speaker 1: trying to do is to get you to broaden your
- 48:19Speaker 1: your your vision on this whole thing. I want you to,
- 48:22Speaker 1: man that I'm done, like you're goofy is out and
- 48:25Speaker 1: I hope they're giving you a fat track for this
- 48:27Speaker 1: stupid that you're doing, because this is ridiculous. Okay, well,
- 48:30Speaker 1: you know, to be honest with you, man, I thought
- 48:33Speaker 1: that you would like the hat. I thought you would
- 48:35Speaker 1: like the shirt. You know, I think that you're not
- 48:38Speaker 1: giving it a fair shot. You know, I think you're
- 48:40Speaker 1: just listening to all the naysayers out there, because honestly,
- 48:44Speaker 1: you're not. You're not giving it a shot made. It's
- 48:45Speaker 1: a black out here that that want to make America
- 48:48Speaker 1: great again. We wear the hat with pride, we wear
- 48:51Speaker 1: a shirt with pride. We don't need to rally up
- 48:53Speaker 1: more of our people and let them understand that. You know,
- 48:55Speaker 1: the Republican is not a bad part. Get the dude,
- 48:59Speaker 1: get the You're literally your selling point is a damn
- 49:02Speaker 1: hat and a T shirt. You met to those hats
- 49:04Speaker 1: and T shirts nineteen times. I talk about their hats
- 49:07Speaker 1: because I'm fond of the head. Okay, y'all wear them
- 49:09Speaker 1: all the time, all right. I'm just trying to I'm
- 49:12Speaker 1: just trying to get you to look at Trump in
- 49:15Speaker 1: a different light, and look at the whole Republican Party
- 49:17Speaker 1: in a different light. You know what I mean. That's
- 49:19Speaker 1: all I want you to do. I'm not vote for
- 49:21Speaker 1: Donald Trump unless you're about to send me a check.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I'm my vote for Donald Trump. I'm wherever he's paying.
- 49:28Speaker 1: You pay me that, and then I might think about
- 49:31Speaker 1: wearing that stupid had, but I might vote for Donald Trump.
- 49:33Speaker 1: So just to call whatever the black persons on your
- 49:36Speaker 1: list talk called Tyrone or Tachika, whoever else is next,
- 49:39Speaker 1: and panted to them, you like Donald Trump, kems for
- 49:44Speaker 1: starting this blast war, setting our kids over thy rackings
- 49:48Speaker 1: that and everyone else. The list that you have for
- 49:51Speaker 1: the people that you have, call it and take me
- 49:53Speaker 1: off this goofy ass with that stupid hat. I got
- 49:56Speaker 1: a room full of hats, and I would be damned.
- 49:59Speaker 1: I'm aware that stupid ass rad one. So a matter
- 50:01Speaker 1: of fact, take my number and draw a big extra
- 50:04Speaker 1: it and don't call me no more with your boy,
- 50:07Speaker 1: because I'm done, Donald sir. So you were recommended by Tommy.
- 50:12Speaker 1: He said you would be on board Tommy who's Tommy?
- 50:16Speaker 1: But you don't you don't remember. Tommy said that you
- 50:18Speaker 1: would be on board. He said you would wear the shirt,
- 50:21Speaker 1: he said you would wear the hat. He said that
- 50:23Speaker 1: you would probably you know, staying behind Trump in the
- 50:25Speaker 1: nixt rally. Okay, well he's Tommy. Don't know what the
- 50:28Speaker 1: he's talking about, because i'd be damn. I don't know
- 50:30Speaker 1: know who who named Tommy. I'm not wearing No, I'm
- 50:34Speaker 1: not wearing that hat. I'm my boat with this man.
- 50:36Speaker 1: So take me off the list and stop with me.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Like I'm done. Donald Trump is not getting my vote.
- 50:41Speaker 1: So whatever Timme? He told you was some boy. Okay,
- 50:44Speaker 1: do you want to talk to Tommy? Sure? Why not Tommy?
- 50:48Speaker 1: Who's Tommy wears Tommy? This is tell me. I'm telling
- 50:50Speaker 1: me baby nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morten Show.
- 50:54Speaker 1: You just got Yeah, dude, you gotta me so hot
- 51:03Speaker 1: in this is cargeing lot. Man. Really, I really didn't
- 51:09Speaker 1: think you was gonna pick up, but you know I
- 51:12Speaker 1: got your baby, I got Damn. I never answer unknown
- 51:16Speaker 1: cause dude, I never did. So he checked us out.
- 51:18Speaker 1: So you work with it with this white guy named Brian.
- 51:22Speaker 1: You know Brian Henry, right, I didn't know Brian. Brian
- 51:25Speaker 1: got me too, crank phone call you man, okay, damn,
- 51:34Speaker 1: he got mad. I don't know what, man, I don't
- 51:36Speaker 1: know what the temperature is in your office, in your workplace.
- 51:39Speaker 1: But Brian said, you've gotta call my guy. Okay, all right,
- 51:45Speaker 1: So white people got jokes now, I ain't. They can
- 51:48Speaker 1: call the commy on me, you know what, Nah man,
- 51:51Speaker 1: it's not. It's on though, right because if I I'm
- 51:53Speaker 1: gonna have some a call damn about some democratic and
- 51:56Speaker 1: see how they take it all white people, if anyway,
- 52:00Speaker 1: people at my job or listen to this right now,
- 52:02Speaker 1: because I know you guys all laugh at the office
- 52:04Speaker 1: right now listening to this. Just no, I got ya.
- 52:07Speaker 1: I'm getting all office, that's for sure. All right. Tell
- 52:12Speaker 1: me this. What is the baddest and I mean the
- 52:14Speaker 1: baddest radio show into playing man? Steve Harvey wanted so
- 52:18Speaker 1: many Joe want to show ya want to hear man?
- 52:26Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't want no damn hat. I just
- 52:30Speaker 1: couldn't get him to get d He didn't want the hat.
- 52:32Speaker 1: You know, I didn't understand. Come on, nobody would have
- 52:36Speaker 1: wanted to hatch blanketed Blake had God, that was certainly
- 52:43Speaker 1: a butt whipping. If you face to face that that's
- 52:48Speaker 1: that's well. It ain't gonna happen this weekend. This weekend June.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Your Sunday night. I'm at the end prov in Houston, Texas. Yes,
- 52:56Speaker 1: third annual post Office Night. I'm with my boys. That's

- 53:46Speaker 1: up and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 53:48Speaker 1: It is every letter subject I'm doing wifey things without
- 53:52Speaker 1: a ring. Dear Stephen Shirley. My boyfriend and I have
- 53:55Speaker 1: been dating for three years and we moved in together
- 53:58Speaker 1: with a plan to get married and start a family.
- 54:01Speaker 1: I'm thirty years old and he is twenty five. After
- 54:04Speaker 1: a year and a half of living together, he bought
- 54:07Speaker 1: me an engagement ring, and I found out because he
- 54:10Speaker 1: was dropping hints about it. Then one day in November,
- 54:13Speaker 1: he admitted to me that he had bought the ring,
- 54:15Speaker 1: but he's not as happy in this relationship as he
- 54:18Speaker 1: should be. He told me that he's having doubts about
- 54:21Speaker 1: marrying me. I asked him what made him feel that way.
- 54:25Speaker 1: He told me that a minor things, but I needed
- 54:28Speaker 1: to work on them before we got engaged. He told
- 54:31Speaker 1: me that he would like for his dinner to be
- 54:33Speaker 1: ready when he gets home on the days that I'm
- 54:36Speaker 1: off work. He says he does not want me to
- 54:38Speaker 1: wait until he gets home to ask what he would
- 54:41Speaker 1: like to eat. He also said that I don't send
- 54:44Speaker 1: him as many nudes as I used to. I told
- 54:47Speaker 1: him I could work on the cooking thing, but I
- 54:50Speaker 1: stopped sending new picks to him because I had gained
- 54:52Speaker 1: a few pounds and wasn't feeling very sexy. Most days
- 54:56Speaker 1: he said. Other than that everything was fine with us,
- 54:59Speaker 1: I couldn't help the thing. There was something more that
- 55:01Speaker 1: is bothering him. He has made a few other suggestions
- 55:04Speaker 1: to me about things I should do to make him
- 55:07Speaker 1: feel like the man of the house, and each time
- 55:10Speaker 1: he says they will make me a better wife. While
- 55:12Speaker 1: I'm not playing the role of wife without a ring
- 55:15Speaker 1: on my finger, and he does not understand that. I've
- 55:18Speaker 1: been walking on eggshelves to keep him happy because I
- 55:21Speaker 1: want my ring and I want to marry him. As
- 55:25Speaker 1: time goes by, I'm starting to have a change of heart.
- 55:28Speaker 1: I'm doing wifey things without a ring. I feel like
- 55:31Speaker 1: he's up to something and he's playing games because he's
- 55:34Speaker 1: not ready to commit. Should I give him an ultimatum
- 55:36Speaker 1: or should I be patient and let things progress? Well,
- 55:40Speaker 1: I mean, it depends on really, really what you want.
- 55:42Speaker 1: You say you want your ring and you do want
- 55:44Speaker 1: to marry him, so I say, do what you feel,
- 55:47Speaker 1: and you feel something. You say he's having doubts and
- 55:51Speaker 1: you think he's playing games and he's not ready to commit.
- 55:53Speaker 1: That could be what it is. I mean, he could
- 55:55Speaker 1: be you know, getting cold feet or deciding since you
- 55:58Speaker 1: guys are living together, that he doesn't have to marry you.
- 56:02Speaker 1: He can get you to do all these things without
- 56:05Speaker 1: you know, the benefit of marriage or whatever. I mean.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I agree with you. You shouldn't be doing WiFi things
- 56:09Speaker 1: without the benefits. So how about this, Why don't you stop?
- 56:13Speaker 1: Why don't you stop doing those things? Um? That means
- 56:17Speaker 1: a lot of things. It could mean moving out, It
- 56:19Speaker 1: could mean, you know, you guys separating for a while.
- 56:21Speaker 1: It could mean putting him out. But if you truly
- 56:25Speaker 1: want to marry him and you want your ring, do
- 56:27Speaker 1: you want just want the ring and the marriage or
- 56:30Speaker 1: do you I mean the wedding or do you really
- 56:32Speaker 1: know what it takes to be a you know, to
- 56:35Speaker 1: be married to him? Him telling you, wait a minute,
- 56:39Speaker 1: is this the nineteen fifties? I want my dinner ready
- 56:42Speaker 1: when I get home, girl, Please, I want my dinner.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Who are you talking to? Yeah? You know? Uh? Anyway,
- 56:57Speaker 1: you know you're you're thirty, he's to a five. It
- 57:01Speaker 1: sounds like, you know, he's a little more old school
- 57:04Speaker 1: and older than his years allowed than his twenty five years.
- 57:10Speaker 1: So I just say this, if you really if that's
- 57:12Speaker 1: really what you want from this man, sounds like he's
- 57:15Speaker 1: starting to take this whole living together arrangement for granted.
- 57:19Speaker 1: So you're gonna have to make a move. You're gonna
- 57:21Speaker 1: have to make a move if that means giving him
- 57:23Speaker 1: him an ultimatum, look marry me or I'm out, or
- 57:26Speaker 1: getting you know, let's get engaged. You probably never should
- 57:29Speaker 1: have moved in with him without becoming engaged and having
- 57:32Speaker 1: a date and all of that. So now you got
- 57:35Speaker 1: a backtrack and do that to make to let him
- 57:37Speaker 1: know that you're serious about what you want, and then
- 57:41Speaker 1: after that you'll see how it goes. But yeah, you're
- 57:43Speaker 1: probably gonna have to make a major move like leave
- 57:46Speaker 1: to get what you want. See, you know what, I
- 57:50Speaker 1: feel sorry for this lady because this is so atypical.
- 57:54Speaker 1: I know exactly what this is. So let me put
- 57:57Speaker 1: you on gay Glad you called Uncle Steve. I know
- 58:00Speaker 1: exactly what's happening. Your boyfriend, y'all have been dating for
- 58:03Speaker 1: three years, moved in together with the plan to get married.
- 58:05Speaker 1: Start the fan. I'm thirty twenty five, pumped the brakes.
- 58:09Speaker 1: That's part of the problem right there. You're a little
- 58:12Speaker 1: bit older. You have a biological clock that's ticking. A
- 58:14Speaker 1: man has no biological clock. He has a financial clock,
- 58:18Speaker 1: and at twenty five, neither one of those have gone
- 58:21Speaker 1: off yet. This is truth. His financial clock hasn't gone
- 58:26Speaker 1: off yet, and he doesn't have a biological clock. Your
- 58:29Speaker 1: biological clock is going crazy. So now you've moved in
- 58:35Speaker 1: a man, moved in with a man that has different
- 58:37Speaker 1: ideals than you do. You've heard that he was gonna
- 58:40Speaker 1: he bought you an engagement ring. You find out because
- 58:42Speaker 1: he was dropping hits. One day November, he admitted to
- 58:45Speaker 1: me that he had bought the ring, but he wasn't
- 58:47Speaker 1: happy with the relationship as he should be. He told
- 58:50Speaker 1: me that he's having doubts about married me. That Shirley
- 58:53Speaker 1: has absolutely correct. It's called cold feating. I asked him
- 58:57Speaker 1: what made him feel that way. He told me that
- 58:59Speaker 1: there were minor things, but I needed to work on
- 59:01Speaker 1: them before we got engaged. He told me that he
- 59:05Speaker 1: would like for his dinner to be ready when he
- 59:07Speaker 1: gets home on days that I'm off for work. He
- 59:10Speaker 1: says he doesn't want me to wait till he gets
- 59:12Speaker 1: home to ask him what he would like to eat.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Let me show you exactly how minor that is. Here's
- 59:18Speaker 1: a guy that expects you to have dinner ready when
- 59:21Speaker 1: he gets home on the days that you're off work,
- 59:25Speaker 1: which means you have a job. Also, he doesn't want
- 59:29Speaker 1: to wait until he gets home to ask him what
- 59:32Speaker 1: he would like to eat, so he thinks he posed
- 59:34Speaker 1: to walk in the house at twenty five, slide his
- 59:36Speaker 1: ass up on the table and just start eat. Well,
- 59:40Speaker 1: what are you supposed to do? Guess what he wants?
- 59:43Speaker 1: So you did a very decent thing to ask him
- 59:45Speaker 1: what he wants. He also said that you don't send
- 59:48Speaker 1: as many nudes as I want, as you too used to.
- 59:51Speaker 1: I could work on the cooking, but I'll stopped sending
- 59:53Speaker 1: new picture to him because I gained weights. No, you
- 59:56Speaker 1: stop sending new picture to him because y'all lay together
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: here every night. He sees it. The hair you need
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: to picture of this is stupid. Hey, I'll be back.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I got the rest of them. Okay, hang right there, Steve.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Part two of your responses coming up at twenty three
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: minutes after the hour subjects of today's strawberry letter. I'm
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: doing wifey things without a ring. We'll be back right
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: after this. You're listening morning show, all right, Steve, Come on,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: let's recap Today's Strawberry Letters, subject I'm doing wifey things
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: without a ring. Oh, this is such an easy letter
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: for me, because boy, lady, I feel for you. Thirty
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: years old, he twenty five bought the engagement ring. Then
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: he admitted that he had bought the ring, that he
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: wasn't happy in the relationship. He was having doubt. Shirley
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: nailing on the head as called cold feet, asked him
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: what made him feel that way. He told me some
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: minding things I needed to work on before we got engaged.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: So he told us he wants his dinner to be
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: ready when he getting home on days then I'm off
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: work and like I said, early, which means that she
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: works too. But he says he don't want to wait
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: till he get home for you to ask him what
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: he want to eat. Well, what is she supposed to do? Dog?
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Guess what you want? That's the cool thing to do.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Then he said, you don't send as many new pitches
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: as I used to. I told him I could work
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: on the cooking, but I stopped sending a new picture
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: to him because I gained a few pounds. It wasn't
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: feeling sexy most of the days. Hold On, Lady, you
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: live with him. It's why you're not sending as many
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: nudes he dare every night. Take your own. Damn it,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: you're tripping with me, fall dog seeing he has turned
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: this thing around on you, and what he's done is
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: the reason he doesn't understand what you're saying to him
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: is because you're not helping him understand. You so desperately
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: want this ring that you've allowed this man to turn
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: this into all one sided request. Everything is what he
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: won't shoot to do, what he won't pitchers, he won't
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: cook it, he won't fool he said. Other than that,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: everything was fine. I couldn't think, But that was he
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: said that I couldn't think, but he was something more
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: than that bothered him, made a few others, suggesting to
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: me about things I could do to make him feel
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: more like the man at the house. Wait a minute,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Wait a minute. First of all, the dude is not
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: understanding this because you're not helping him understand. All this
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: is is a bunch of one sided requests. You can't
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: be totally one completely or during this boy. It's something
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: wrong with him, but you ain't making no request of him.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Your desperation for this ring is allowing you to let
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: this man make all what's wrong with you ain't nothing
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: wrong with him. He perfect. So you are trying to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: be engaged to Christ. That's the only thing I can
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: think of, because that's the only perfect person out there
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: ever lived on this earth, and he not here yet.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: So now why you got this boy propped up like
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: he all of that winning thing? Now? Now you walk
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: around on eggshells to keep him happy? What keep him happy?
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Here's the line in there. You got to do some
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: things to make him feel like the man at the house.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: That's not your job. If he is the only man
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: in the house and he don't feel like the man
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: of the house, then what inadequacy does he have? If
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: he don't feel like the man at the house, it's
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: because you must be doing a lot of stuff that
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: he no he should be doing, but he got all
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: these requests heaped on you, lady. As time goes by,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I'm starting to have a change of heart, and you should.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I'm doing wifey things without a ring. I feel like
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: he's up to something and he's playing games because he's
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: not ready to commit. He ain't ready to commit. He's
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: not going to commit, and he got you thinking that
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: the reason he's not gonna commit because it's all your fault.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: He the one don't feel like the man at the house.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: What they got to do with you? So here we go.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: It's hard cooking what he wants. Some seal, have a
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: fowl of lucky charms. Won't on his ass when he
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: comes in the house. I'll tell you what, cook old
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: ass food for me, real old ass food. Make him
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: feel like, you know, man's man. Have some chicken feet
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: and just and just uh crock pot with none but
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: beans and rice in it, cone bread, old ass meals
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: coming to the house. Have him some fried spam sitting
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: there with some tripe and some scrambled eggs. Cooking some
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: real old ass grown man like it's coming there with
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: some hot water, corn bread and and just some red
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: eye gravy, No damn meat. No, let's make a pot
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: of aving, give him a straw, tell him that what
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: we're eating today, Tell him gravy, old country ass meal.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Come home. Ain't number damn just a bowl of slough. Yeah,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: just come in there, ain't nothing but some greens, just greens.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: All that on smoked turkey, Damn that ham hock. Yeah,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: greene with a big ass hock in it bowler, lisal
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: bea feeeding his ass like an old ass man. This
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: is blood pressure, lady. That's there's nothing wrong with you.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: It's something wrong with him. Yeah, it's not you. And
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: the second thoughts you're starting to have is because you're
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: starting to realize you're walking on eggshells in your own house.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: That little boy ready to get married and you're gonna
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: marry somebody that he ain't a man because he's messed
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: up bout your age anyway, because of Mama said a
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: couple of things about it. Gone send him back a
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: lunch next time you go, got buy him a lunch
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: box with superhero Happy All right, listen, come home, have

- 1:08:00Speaker 1: nobody want to see no neck a Batch, McConnell and
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: all them suck. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Nobody want to
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: see that. Nobody want to see that. Nobody wants to
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: see that. We already know what time it is. They
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: tried to shake them down. They tried to shake down
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: to Ukrainians. They would needed to probe. Then they were
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: trying to knock Joe Biden out of the race, but
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: smoking Joe Biden would be in the race. It's happened white.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: The most ignorant thing I heard when Hillary Clinton say
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: nobody like burning Sanders, like nobody who listen to me?
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I ain't never heard nothing like when white people talk
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: against each other. It's inn to see black people do
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: week because you know what I'm saying, White people, nobody
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: likes you. Nobody ever likes you. They didn't like you
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: when you were like Fiamn Man Bernie Sanders, I mean
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: he I he all right? And then Bernie Sanda didn't
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: even cry. He ain't got no feelings. You know what
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna need them to do it take the damn impeachment,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: stop doing gave the gave. Don't nobody call. We already
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: know it's a hustle. We already know the dude ain't
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: gonna be put out of office. All we need to
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: do is participate in the primaries and the caucus participant.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: That's right. Shirley we're gonna participate in the primaries and
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: the caucus. A question, Yeah, ask me a question, Steve Harvest,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Who do you think is the three top candidates in
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: the Democratic Party? That could be truck Joe, Biden and
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: mayor Bloomberg President and vice president. Um, but that that's
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: my ticket right there. You gotta do old white man
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: or old white Man and Bloomberg. Got that money in
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: that pocket? Son, that's who I'm looking for. That big
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: bakes son, you know that's what I'm looking at. We
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: gotta go Sky as always, we love your girl. Coming

- 1:09:55Speaker 1: the hour, right after this. Yeah, she did me. She
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: just knocked it right out of my mouth. Shirtless. You're listening,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: all right, Tommy, here we go, introduce our girl. She
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: is here, she's waiting, she's ready. Let's go. Let's go.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: She's here. Colin Ferrell with what reality update? All right,
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: thank you, nephew. Okay, guys, let's talk about it. Let's
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: go with Real Housewives of Atlanta. Let's talk about that. First.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Let's address the rumors. There's some rumors out there. I
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: don't know if you guys heard about this. That Ninie
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Leaks is quitting the show Real Housewives of Atlanta. Did
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: you hear that? Yes, girl, this is a new rumor. Yeah,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: I love it. Julia, Now I don't want her to Yeah,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: well listen, listen. Wendy Williams on her talk show, she
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: claimed that she got a text message yeah from Ninie
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: they're real close friends, saying that she is leaving the
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Atlanta. However, Ninie posted a picture of
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: herself on Instagram with the caption who said that hashtag
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: shaking my head. So you don't know what to believe
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: with that, So anyway, let's go and talk about the show.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: On the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: the girls were hanging out They're back from Toronto. Tanya
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: said that Kenya left the package in Toronto and asked
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: her to bring it back and she did. And in
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: the package, what Tanya was saying was that her fiance
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: was like, look, when being bringing a package over, you know,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: out of the country without knowing what it is, So
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: you need to open up this package, yeah and see
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: what it is. So in the package there was a
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: wig hair wig. So you know, Tanya is I guess
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: she was telling all of the ladies this to pay
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: her back from the shade that Kenya was trying to
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: insinuate on the cool that Tanya's man flirted with another
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: girl or she was cheating with this other woman. So
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Tanya tried to get her back by showing the ladies, Yeah,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: your girl is rocking a wig while she up here
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: spreading rumors about me and my relationship or in Senya
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: this she never said. Kenya never said Danyan, but she
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: kept looking at him when she was talking about it.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I thought that was really really foul about that. So anyway,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: that was wig gate. So now Kenya knows Candy told Kenya,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: and now she knows that this girl pulled out the
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: wig and so not Kenya's on the roll to get
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: her back. You know how Kny is. She don't play
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: so and you know Marlow love that moment, you know that,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: because you know, Kenya put shade down, you know, the
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: whole thing when Marlow launched her wig line, remember with
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: the band and all that, the drum line that came in.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: So anyway, so Marlo loved that. So moving on Porsche
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and her fiancee and Dennis, Dennis, they are trying to
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: keep their family together. Dennis meant with Porsche's mom and
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: her sister Lauren. He invited his mom, he tried, he
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: apologized to them for infidelity, you know, cheating on Porsche.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: I'm breaking her heart and he knows he has to
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: earn their trust back. But now that's on the show.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: But the other day, Porsche was on Watch What Happened
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: five with Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: there are new rumors that porsches man Dennis was out
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: at a diner at four am with some women. So
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: what it's going on. Ain't nobody gonna see you food? Yeah,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: I know, I know, with a group of women. So
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: Porsche's you know, she's playing all of this. You think
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: they're gonna see you. You know what I'm saying. You
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: think baby, Oh yeah, a little baby Pollard So cute,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: so cute. So that's that. So you know, Porsche's asking
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: everyone to you know, pray for her family play. You know,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: she's still trying to work on her relationship and keep
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: her family together. You know, they have a baby together.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: So we're rooting for you, Porsche. Hopefully it can work
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: out and before we run out. But everybody does. Well,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: you know, I don't get it. It's not a big deal.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: You know, but Ya's all natural hair. That's her thing.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: So you know, they're like, oh, but you're rocking a wigdow. Oh,
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: you know, is that kind of thing. But let me
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: get to this before we run out of time. Let
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: me tell you about the scripted TV show We Love Power.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Who shot ghost? We're narrowing it down, okay, so yes, yeah,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: it wasn't Angela's sister. Pause, it wasn't her, and so
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: now we just found out it was not Tommy, but
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Tommy kill Vinny and then he shot and kills spanking.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Yeah you know, yes, yeah, all right, hit me up
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: on social media. Look, spark Carlo. We gotta get out
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: of here. Talk about more of your favorite shows. Yeah,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: shout out there. You're listening, all right. So Bernie Sanders
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: has responded to Hillary Clinton. You know, she said, no
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: one likes him. Uh, take a listing as he address
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: she said, no one likes him, no one wants to
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: work with him. He's a career politician. Take a listen.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: As he addressed reporters, secretary said was about your supporters
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: and criticizing them. Look, look look, Secretary Clinton is entitled to, uh,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: you know her point of view. My job today is
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: to focus on the impeachment trial. My job today is
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: to put together a team that can defeat the most
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: dangerous president in the history of the United States of America.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: Why do you think the secretary is still talking about
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: twenty sixteen? That is a good question. Ask him shade
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: and clap bag and he handled it. He handled it. Yeah,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: a good question. Why don't you ask, right? He said? Meanwhile,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: I gotta go to this impeachment trial. Yeah, this is unbelievable.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: But well, you know what, I don't think to say.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: I really don't think that they expected to be in
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: there all day and all night. I just you know
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: who expected that. That's why they were falling asleep sleep. Yeah,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: but they weren't gonna let it go, you know. So
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: they shout out to Mitch McConnell because he fell asleep
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: and jolted in head back. Boy, All right, coming up
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some trending
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: news at thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: you're listening to show. All right, guys, this time for
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Steve's favorite segment, you know what it is. It's ask Steve.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Where we get to ask Steve questions, he answers them.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: And I would like to ask you, Steve at this
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: point to please keep your answers as short as possible
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: so we can get more questions in good luck. Yeah,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: and once again you can ask all you want. I
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: asked Donald Trump not to be president, but he is.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: You can't get it. He can't get everything you want,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: right right, right right? Yeah, it just happens. All right,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: So Steve, we're starting out. You ready, what's your favorite
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: room in the house, The kitchen or the bedroom. No,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: kitchen or bedroom. You have to choose between those two.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: It's not in there. Kitchen or the bedroom. Bath room
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: ain't in now, no, sir, I'm disappointed to be exact.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: The toilet area. Oh goodness. All right, come on, junior,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: you got a question. So the quick kitchen or the bedroom? Yes?
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Those yes? Your favorite room? Well, then it would be
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: the bad room. Bad room. Huh? Care to elaborate? Well,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: you know, because when I'm not sleeping, I'm trying to
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: get put to sleep. All right. So you know, at
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: last week you went on the ram about the movie Joker.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: You didn't. You didn't really care for Joker. You know
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: you didn't really care for the movie Jokers, damn movie
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: of the year. But I want to ask you, if
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: you was a superhero, what would be your superpower? But
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: to be invisible? Oh? I like it? I like it? Yeah?
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: And why why? You know how many people I want
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: to just walk up to and just haul off and
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: slap their ass and they wouldn't know it was you?
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Me to oh jog. I don't want to be able
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: to fly, none of that. You don't jump off Paul Building.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: I don't give it. Damn about going under water for
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: eight days. I ain't gonna do none of that. If
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: I could just walk up to you, you see it's me,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: then blink and become invisible and slap your ass and
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: walk off background and you saw it with me? Thank you?
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Come on, Carl, like you got a question for Steve.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: We're doing. Ask Steve if you could change one thing
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: about your upbringing, what would it be. I didn't get
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: no whippers? Oh yeah, who you are though? Life without beatings? Right? Well?
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: Who we got? Been somebody else? Then? Kids today don't
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: know how good they have it. Coming up our last
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: break of the day, and some closing remarks from the
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve. We're here at
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: the last break of the day. Just one more thing.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: You're closing remarks. What do you have for us today, Steve? Well,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: I think I should talk about dreams because it's such
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: a major component to your success. Dreams are such an
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: important component to success. You can't underplay dreams. See, let
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: me tell you something. Education is necessary for certain fields
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: and professions. You want to be a doctor, a lawyer,
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: a dentist, a pilot, a scientist, a teacher. Education is
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: so necessary for me any professions in this world. But
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: there is nothing, and I repeat, there is nothing more
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: important than your dreams. Your dreams have value. Your dreams
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: wake you up in the morning. The dreams give you hope.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: You know, I'm not saying education doesn't do that. But
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: education don't wake you up in the morning. It's what
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: you dream and hope of becoming with the education that
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: wakes you up. It is your dream that causes you
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: to even get an education. If you want to fly
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: a plane and that's your dream, your dream will cause
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: you to do the things necessary to accomplish the dream.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: That's why I tell people educators in all, if we
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: spent more time talking to our children in our school
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: system about their dreams and visions, we could reduce the
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: dropout rate. But what we're doing is we keep talking
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: to kids about the education, and we're not talking about
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: the kids for the reason for the education. You gotta
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: get your education, because you gotta finish school. Finish school
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: for what we have. Got to take time out to
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: talk about the dreams and visions. I tell parents all
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: the time. If you're not talking to your kids about
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: dreams every ninety days, that's a mistake. Man, that's a
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: mistake because young people change more often than you think.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: But if you're not revamping your dreams every ninety days
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: as an adult, you're making a mistake because guess what
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: you change also now you know may not change as
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: often as your children, because you become a little bit
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: more subtle when you're older. But you've got to refurbish
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: these dreams. You gotta dust them off. You gotta keep
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: reminding yourself or what the purpose is, because the dream
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: provides purpose. You wake up in the morning because of
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: what you dream to be. You get excited when the
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: lawnclock get all goes off because of what you dream
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: to be. Man, don't let nobody fool you. Now, listen
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: to me. I'm gonna say this again. Education is important
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: and it's critical to certain things in life, but you
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: can actually make it in this world without one. Now,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: do you need to have some basics under your belt?
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I strongly suggest you do. And I'm not saying at
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: all that you don't need school because you do. School
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: offers you a way to become well rounded. That's the
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: thing that school does for you a great deal. It
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: not only educates you, it gives you social skills. It
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: teaches you how to be well rounded. It teaches you
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: now to adapt. It teaches you the tool of memorization.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: So I'm not knocking it at all. But what I
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: am saying to you, if you are like me in
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: any way and you're just not a school person, what
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: you're gonna do? You can still be something. If you've
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: blown your education opportunity in life, you can still be something.
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: If you just don't feel like you can do school again,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: you can still be something. Because the scripture says a
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: man without a dream or vision shall perish. I've old
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: the Bible inside out. I don't know it. I didn't
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: go to theology school anything, so I can't quote it
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: like people can oftentimes. But I don't really don't recall
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: ever going to Sunday School or any service I've ever
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: been to and read a scripture about how necessary your
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: education was. But I have seen repeatedly that a man
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: without a dream or vision shall perish. See the reason
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: You'll die without the dream of the vision because without
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: the dream of the vision, you'll give up hope. You've
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: heard that so many people saying, keep hope alive because
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: it's necessary. The dream, the vision. What you see for yourself,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: your hope for tomorrow, that impossible thing that nobody else
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: can see except you, that thing that floats around in
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: your imagination, that keeps pushing you to make you think
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: that's something out there other than this. For me, if
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: you wake up in the morning and you keep saying yourself, man,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: that's got to be more to my life than this,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: that's because it is. That's because it is. Your visions
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: and dreams are out there. And let me tell you
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: something else. You got to make your dreams and visions
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: so big, so big that it causes you to overcome
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: all of your fears. See the fear of failures in
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: number one cause of failure in this country, because people
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: are afraid to fail. But you have to have dreams
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: and visions so big that it just overcomes all of
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: your fee is. You've got to want something so big,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: so dynamic to happen in your life. Man, that you've
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: got to make this happen, and the fear is secondary
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: to all of it, and it will cause you to
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: push through. You've got to dream of something so outstanding
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: that an order for it to have to in order
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: for it to happen, you absolutely have to have God's help.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: If you're dreaming of only stuff that you can accomplish yourself,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: I got news for you. You ain't dreaming big enough.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Start dreaming big, increase your dreams. They would change your life.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: It would change your perspective, It would cause your hope
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: to grow. All right, those are my closing remarks. All right, Steve,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: All right, Yes, y'all have a good one. Hey, And
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: can I say, have a great weekend. I'll be working
