- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all sit looking back to back down, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like theming bu bu things and it's not good
- 0:20Speaker 1: at Steve har to sty don't join Jo. You gotta
- 0:59Speaker 1: use that turn. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out, to turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your back, Uh huh, I sure will
- 2:04Speaker 1: come on and everybody, y'all listen to the voice. Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey. Uh how
- 2:11Speaker 1: a radio show? Yep? Yep. Sometimes I saw all I
- 2:17Speaker 1: can say. Yelp, Man, how far I've come is really unbelievable.
- 2:23Speaker 1: But you know I finally figured it out. Man. God
- 2:27Speaker 1: allowed me to have the life I've had so that
- 2:32Speaker 1: I can become experienced at so many different things. And
- 2:37Speaker 1: then this experience when I'm talking and sharing with people,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I will be able to relate to a lot of
- 2:43Speaker 1: different circumstances, not exact, but just the circumstances. You know.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You know if a person comes to men, they say, man,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I've been down and out. Okay, Well I know what
- 2:52Speaker 1: that is. Man. I didn't I didn't have any direction, Okay,
- 2:56Speaker 1: got that been there man. At one point, Ti Man,
- 3:00Speaker 1: I just kept piling mistake on top of mistakes. Okay,
- 3:06Speaker 1: So you know, I think what I'm trying to say
- 3:09Speaker 1: to everybody is when you're going through life and life
- 3:13Speaker 1: is dealing the cards that it deals, I want you
- 3:17Speaker 1: to understand that life deals everybody these cards. The disappointment card,
- 3:23Speaker 1: the setback card, the failure card, the mishap card, the
- 3:30Speaker 1: unexpected misery card. Everybody gonna get, the grief card, everybody
- 3:37Speaker 1: gonna get, the rash of bad decision card, everybody gonna
- 3:40Speaker 1: get them. Understand that going in that everybody is gonna
- 3:47Speaker 1: get these cards. It's how you play them, though, you know,
- 3:54Speaker 1: from time to time, one more time, it's how you
- 3:57Speaker 1: play them, you know, from time to time. When watching TV,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I love to watch the World Series of Poker. I
- 4:04Speaker 1: like watching poker tournaments on TV because it's it's really weird,
- 4:10Speaker 1: what's happened to a sport? To a poker they're actually
- 4:14Speaker 1: trying to call it a sport, you know, And as
- 4:17Speaker 1: the everyday guy that doesn't have to be athletically inclined
- 4:20Speaker 1: to anything, who has a shot of winning a title
- 4:25Speaker 1: if they play their cards right, the best poker players
- 4:29Speaker 1: in the world don't have the best hands. They just
- 4:34Speaker 1: make the best plays. I've seen guys win a hand
- 4:39Speaker 1: with nine two in their hand, that's nothing, and win
- 4:42Speaker 1: their hand because they knew the bluff, they knew the odds,
- 4:47Speaker 1: they calculated risks, they made the stakes higher than the
- 4:52Speaker 1: other person was willing to pay. They gave off the
- 4:55Speaker 1: illusion that they had something with an actuality. They had nothing.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So what I what I enjoy about poker and watching
- 5:04Speaker 1: it is that these people, these people here, played the
- 5:10Speaker 1: hand they dealt and it ain't always a good hand.
- 5:14Speaker 1: But it ain't whether your hand is good, And it
- 5:16Speaker 1: ain't whether you're gonna get dealt bad cards or not.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Because you're gonna get dealt some bad cards. Everybody ain't
- 5:21Speaker 1: gonna get two bullets in their hand. You ain't gonna
- 5:23Speaker 1: get two aces when you get dealt. Uh. You know,
- 5:26Speaker 1: when you play a draw poker, some of your cards
- 5:28Speaker 1: gonna be nothing. But you got to turn that nothing
- 5:31Speaker 1: into something. So when you get dealt these cards in life,
- 5:34Speaker 1: it ain't the fact that you get keep getting them dealt.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I was talking with a young person yesterday and we
- 5:40Speaker 1: were talking and we keep having the same conversation over
- 5:43Speaker 1: and over and over, and they could not understand why
- 5:46Speaker 1: they were not moving forward. But I said, you don't understand.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Every time we talk, we have the exact same conversation.
- 5:54Speaker 1: It is simply because you keep getting your cards and
- 5:58Speaker 1: you playing them the same way. See. Until you make
- 6:02Speaker 1: a conscientious different, the conscious decision to do something different,
- 6:07Speaker 1: the results will continue to be the same. See here's
- 6:15Speaker 1: the way this works. When you're dealt to disappointments in life,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it's how you handle the disappointments that determine the outcome
- 6:22Speaker 1: and who you are. Because everybody gonna be disappointment, Everybody
- 6:27Speaker 1: gonna lose a love one, everybody gonna make a bad decision,
- 6:30Speaker 1: everybody gonna end wake up one morning they have done
- 6:32Speaker 1: something they regretted. Everybody gonna get caught at the wrong time,
- 6:37Speaker 1: every everybody gonna make a mistake. It ain't just you.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That is how you play your cards when they get
- 6:43Speaker 1: dealt to you, that determine who you are. Na, how
- 6:46Speaker 1: do I play my cards better? First of all, it's
- 6:49Speaker 1: a mindset. Quit looking at everything as just the end
- 6:53Speaker 1: when it happens to you. Oh lord, woe is me? Nah,
- 6:57Speaker 1: everybody got your cumstances somewhere. It ain't old. Woe is me,
- 7:03Speaker 1: it's hold on, man, Okay, let me play this out
- 7:06Speaker 1: to see how God then connected this to something else. See.
- 7:09Speaker 1: As soon as a person have a setback, what's the
- 7:11Speaker 1: first thing a lot of people do, they go straight negative.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I can't see him to get a break. I can't
- 7:16Speaker 1: see him move forward. Hold on, man, do you realize
- 7:19Speaker 1: this could be connected to something? See? You got to understand, man,
- 7:23Speaker 1: that this thing is all connected. That you're not having
- 7:26Speaker 1: these mishaps and these spills and accidents and falls for
- 7:30Speaker 1: no reason. It's so you can become experienced at them.
- 7:33Speaker 1: So when he takes you to the next level, when
- 7:35Speaker 1: it happens again, you have no how and how to
- 7:37Speaker 1: handle it. If you keep throwing yourself off the cliff
- 7:41Speaker 1: every time something happened, you're just gonna be a cliff diver. Man,
- 7:45Speaker 1: Stop tripping yourself out. I was talking to this young person.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I kept saying, and you know what they tried to
- 7:51Speaker 1: tell me. I'm trying to stay positive. But the people
- 7:54Speaker 1: around here, they're just killing that. Oh. I see. So
- 7:58Speaker 1: when you learn something and then you know something, you
- 8:01Speaker 1: don't take ownership of it. You allow other people to
- 8:05Speaker 1: come into what you know and believe and shake it
- 8:08Speaker 1: loose from you. I don't care who you are. You're
- 8:10Speaker 1: not doing me like that. Here's a deal. I have
- 8:13Speaker 1: a gift that was given to me from God. That
- 8:16Speaker 1: is the gift of comedy. That's what I've done. I've
- 8:18Speaker 1: made the bulk of my living on that skill set.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Right there. That are comedians who are supposedly friends of mine,
- 8:26Speaker 1: who I've worked with, who get around in huddles with
- 8:28Speaker 1: one another and they say, man, Steve really ain't funny.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I don't see what they'd be laughing at. He ain't
- 8:33Speaker 1: funny to me. He wasn't the funniest king to me.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Excuse me, you're irrelevant in this conversation because it regardless
- 8:42Speaker 1: as to how you feel about me. That are people
- 8:45Speaker 1: think that I'm knocked down kill over funny. But more importantly,
- 8:49Speaker 1: I own the gift that God gave to me. I
- 8:52Speaker 1: take ownership of his blessing. Because you don't think it's so.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You ain't taking that from me. Stop letting people steal
- 8:59Speaker 1: your Stop letting people take what you're supposed to know. Look,
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm a I'm a I'm a I'm a kind person
- 9:07Speaker 1: at heart. Man, you ain't nothing now you said if
- 9:10Speaker 1: it going, Man, I guess I ain't what you're tripping for.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You are a kind person, own that take ownership of it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Stop letting things God has given you be taken away
- 9:23Speaker 1: from others. The devil's a cold player, and he got
- 9:25Speaker 1: cold players working for him, just shaking, just taking stuff
- 9:29Speaker 1: from you. You know, I'm a hard worker. I really
- 9:32Speaker 1: am intelligent. You stupid man. I thought I was a
- 9:35Speaker 1: hard worker. Man. They came in here and said I
- 9:37Speaker 1: was stupid. Man. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
- 9:40Speaker 1: What excuse me? You're a very bright person. Hey, y'all,
- 9:45Speaker 1: take ownership. When God gives you something, blesses you would
- 9:48Speaker 1: have gifted talent, a skill set, a mindset. Own it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Don't let people come in here and take it from you. Man, Okay,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't have with that. You're listening Morning show
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. It's about that time. Steve Harvey Morning
- 10:07Speaker 1: Show is open for business today. Welcome to the ride, y'all.
- 10:11Speaker 1: We will uplift, we will inform, we will inspire. At
- 10:16Speaker 1: the end of the day today, I am going to
- 10:19Speaker 1: take it upon myself. I'm just gonna call this a
- 10:23Speaker 1: day of ignorance. So prepare yourself because I'm just gonna act.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna let y'all have it. I'm gonna call this
- 10:32Speaker 1: show y'all must have forgot. The title of this show
- 10:37Speaker 1: is y'all muscle for good. Sirley Strawberry, I haven't Good morning,
- 10:46Speaker 1: Steve now right, Yeah, you know he just a game show.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Hope calin for rel just about to find out Junior, Okay,
- 11:00Speaker 1: good morning, Junior. I ain't forgot, I ask to the
- 11:06Speaker 1: mic man. It's a lot, a lot of perfections in it.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Jathony Brown and uh nephew, Tommy ain't here, so watch this.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Just watched this all I got to say, Yeah something, Junior,
- 11:23Speaker 1: what's up? I told with you. I know what you're
- 11:25Speaker 1: capable of. I watched it night after night after night.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But you know, Junior man, I was looking at um,
- 11:32Speaker 1: they're doing that. They're doing this app. This company's doing
- 11:34Speaker 1: an app for me. And I was reviewing footage today
- 11:39Speaker 1: and if I may say so myself, the comedy career
- 11:44Speaker 1: that I had, I'm proud of mine. Mine boy, I
- 11:53Speaker 1: had some Hello moments. That's really really good that you
- 11:57Speaker 1: can say that. Yeah, you know me. You know, look, man,
- 12:03Speaker 1: if I was still active as a stand up comedian
- 12:07Speaker 1: and it didn't have the restrictions that it has with
- 12:13Speaker 1: the exception of Dave Chappelle. And Dave Chappelle has no
- 12:16Speaker 1: restrictions because he he does nothing in television or movies
- 12:20Speaker 1: that requires any sponsorship dollar. So he is free. And
- 12:25Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, this boy is brilliant. Dave Chappelle,
- 12:30Speaker 1: absolutely brilliant with it. And that the freedom that he
- 12:33Speaker 1: has to say and be Dave Chappelle is what I
- 12:38Speaker 1: really really miss because he has the freedom to say
- 12:45Speaker 1: anything however he want to say it, and there are
- 12:48Speaker 1: no repercussions because he has no sponsors. That I envy
- 12:53Speaker 1: that about him. Speaking of Chappelle, I remember when he
- 12:56Speaker 1: quit a show. Everyone was upset about that because I
- 12:59Speaker 1: think he turned on like a fifty million dollar contract
- 13:02Speaker 1: or something company Central. Yeah, right, because the show, which
- 13:05Speaker 1: is brilliant, which was absurd money. Yeah, But I mean
- 13:09Speaker 1: look at him now. He believed in himself, he knew
- 13:11Speaker 1: what he was doing. He just stayed with it. Man,
- 13:13Speaker 1: he's a good brother man. He walked away from that
- 13:16Speaker 1: pressure and that he did he did all right, Well,
- 13:20Speaker 1: you heard Steve. It was from his own mouth. He said,
- 13:23Speaker 1: today will be a day of ignorance. Well, we're gonna
- 13:26Speaker 1: get it started, coming up at thirty, coming up at thirty,
- 13:30Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, the CLLO. Steve, he loves
- 13:35Speaker 1: everybody get out to wait, I might not only advice
- 13:38Speaker 1: you won't everybody stay back. That's the CLLO coming up
- 13:42Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show, all right, So Steve,
- 13:47Speaker 1: today we're gonna start off the show in a lighter note. Um,
- 13:50Speaker 1: you know, people still need your relationship and okay, still
- 13:53Speaker 1: quarantined together. Okay, but let me say this now, what
- 13:57Speaker 1: since today I'm going to act a fool, I don't
- 14:00Speaker 1: know if I can recommend the advice I'm giving today,
- 14:04Speaker 1: ready said, God, don't even recommend it. This one's from
- 14:08Speaker 1: Felisa and Gary, Indiana. She says, I'm twenty seven years
- 14:12Speaker 1: old and I'm falling in love with a forty six
- 14:15Speaker 1: year old man. We started hanging out a month ago
- 14:18Speaker 1: and we're taking it slow. May twenty seventh, My twenty
- 14:21Speaker 1: seventh birthday was Friday, and we met for dinner. He
- 14:24Speaker 1: said he knows a man should never ask a woman
- 14:26Speaker 1: her age, but since it was my birthday. He was curious.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I told him I was twenty seven. This man flipped
- 14:33Speaker 1: out and said, he's glad we didn't have sex because
- 14:36Speaker 1: he has a daughter that's almost my age. He thought
- 14:39Speaker 1: I was at least thirty five because of the way
- 14:41Speaker 1: I carried myself. I'm so hurt because I never had
- 14:44Speaker 1: a problem with him being older. What does my age matter?
- 14:47Speaker 1: Why does my age matter? Don't you don't have a
- 14:50Speaker 1: problem with him being older. He got the problem with
- 14:52Speaker 1: you being younger. You know, let's just talk about a
- 14:55Speaker 1: couple of things. You know you said, he said he
- 14:59Speaker 1: thought you thirty five? How you dress it? What you
- 15:04Speaker 1: got on? Got this man thinking you thirty five? How
- 15:08Speaker 1: is your half style? You have bangs? Ain't then went
- 15:15Speaker 1: wrong with bangs? But do you have a bang and
- 15:18Speaker 1: flip coming back? They're making a comeback? Are your heels
- 15:26Speaker 1: maximum two inch heels? I'm just saying there's some things
- 15:32Speaker 1: that would make him think you was old dirt. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: would if I were you, I would be a little hurt.
- 15:39Speaker 1: The hurtful thing is a man thinking you much older
- 15:42Speaker 1: than you really are. Let me at one last question,
- 15:47Speaker 1: do you drink heavy? Thirty five? But if you twenty seven,
- 15:56Speaker 1: then look thirty five to the fart six year old.
- 16:03Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. Nick, all right. This is from
- 16:06Speaker 1: Beth and Charlotte, North Carolina. She says, I've been dating
- 16:10Speaker 1: a man for three years and I know he loves me,
- 16:13Speaker 1: but he doesn't trust me. Last year, he admitted to
- 16:16Speaker 1: putting a tracker on my phone and a camera in
- 16:18Speaker 1: my house when he suspected I was cheating. I have
- 16:22Speaker 1: a I have limited freedom, and he goes everywhere I go.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I love the attention, but sometimes I feel like he's
- 16:28Speaker 1: smothering me. My friends say he's only going to get
- 16:32Speaker 1: crazier if we stay together. How can I get him
- 16:35Speaker 1: to relax and give me some space? Relax? He got
- 16:38Speaker 1: a tracker on your car and cameras in your phone.
- 16:42Speaker 1: You're gonna relax? It right where you gonna relax. You're
- 16:46Speaker 1: taking your clothes off. He watches, you're in a bathroom,
- 16:50Speaker 1: he watches you go to the stove. He watches. But
- 16:58Speaker 1: if your friends are right, is only gonna get worse.
- 17:02Speaker 1: He gonna take you down to the vet and get
- 17:04Speaker 1: that little pillet put in you that you put in
- 17:07Speaker 1: your dog. You're gonna end up. Yeah, you're gonna mess
- 17:13Speaker 1: around and go outside and gonna have a visit fence
- 17:17Speaker 1: and what a visit fence wherever? When you walk over
- 17:21Speaker 1: there to the neighbor, then that shot hit you out. Yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 1: well she wants her space. How can she get him
- 17:29Speaker 1: to give her? It ain't no space. You got a
- 17:33Speaker 1: tracker and cameras. Yeah. Next, next he gonna buy you
- 17:37Speaker 1: ordered them police bracelets and put it on your ankle. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 1: your friends are right, it's going to get worse. You
- 17:46Speaker 1: can't get him to relax. He's what's called insecure. Right,
- 17:50Speaker 1: We had one of them on this show. He did
- 17:53Speaker 1: a whole movie about it. Right, Right, Tommy's insecure in
- 18:00Speaker 1: his life. But he doesn't go that even Tommy doesn't
- 18:05Speaker 1: go this far. He he don't go that far at all. Yeah,
- 18:08Speaker 1: she needs to get out. Don't don't make any serious
- 18:11Speaker 1: future plans with this guy. You're right, Steve. This one's
- 18:15Speaker 1: from Michelle. She's an iHeart radio app listener. Hey Michelle.
- 18:19Speaker 1: She says, I'm a forty five year old woman and
- 18:21Speaker 1: I've been married to a man child for six years.
- 18:24Speaker 1: The quarantine has brought out a side of him that
- 18:28Speaker 1: I can't stand. If things don't go his way. He
- 18:31Speaker 1: pouts for days. If he wants to have sex and
- 18:35Speaker 1: I'm not in the mood, he would hold sex from
- 18:37Speaker 1: me for days. If I cook and it's not what
- 18:41Speaker 1: he wants, he leaves and picks up food. We always
- 18:44Speaker 1: have to watch the shows he picks. And I've been
- 18:47Speaker 1: asking him to clean up behind himself, and he always
- 18:49Speaker 1: tells me if I come help him cut the grass,
- 18:53Speaker 1: he'll help me clean up the house. How can I
- 18:56Speaker 1: get him to grow up? Really? Divorce? No? Wow, wow,
- 19:01Speaker 1: leave him? It's over. He's not gonna change. You don't
- 19:07Speaker 1: think why would he for six years? Yeah? Well you
- 19:12Speaker 1: know you want six more years? It is. Well, she's
- 19:14Speaker 1: thinking it's the quarantine Steve that's brought out the side
- 19:18Speaker 1: of him. Well, you know, quarantine can't bring out nothing
- 19:21Speaker 1: that ain't there. Hello, you don't develop nothing in quarantine.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Now you're just in there with yourself. You have been
- 19:31Speaker 1: allowed to see more of who he really is. YEA,
- 19:35Speaker 1: quarantine ain't bought out nothing. It's just you got to
- 19:39Speaker 1: sit there and see it up close. Now he ain't
- 19:42Speaker 1: at work, But after six years, keep in that way,
- 19:46Speaker 1: you just couldn't see it because y'all was busy. Quarantine,
- 19:50Speaker 1: peeled back the curtain. Baby. A lot of neckd bananas
- 19:54Speaker 1: walking around now, no skiing on it. M yeah, praising.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Why do they always have to watch the shows he
- 20:04Speaker 1: wants to watch? They only have one TV? I mean,
- 20:08Speaker 1: you know, and even if they did, what I'm saying
- 20:10Speaker 1: is that's selfish, right, that's crazy. You probably want together together. Okay, listen.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Divorce has is for reason. That's why I got it.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It's when you get it moments like this and you
- 20:29Speaker 1: realize you're married to a man child and you just
- 20:31Speaker 1: want the man. Uh huh he powdon calls he don't
- 20:34Speaker 1: have sex? Did he with whole sex from you? We're
- 20:37Speaker 1: playing this game at the house that is so childish.
- 20:41Speaker 1: All right, all right, we gotta get out of here.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Thank you, Cello. Coming up next, Uh, nephew Tommy's out today,
- 20:48Speaker 1: but the junior is here to run that prank back
- 20:52Speaker 1: for the nephew that's coming up right after this. You're listening.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss Anna
- 21:01Speaker 1: standing by with today's national news and uh. In entertainment news,
- 21:05Speaker 1: Cardie b got an upgrade on her hip tattoo, and
- 21:08Speaker 1: Barbara streisand gives George Floyd's daughter some Disney shares. How
- 21:13Speaker 1: about that. We'll talk about these stories at the top
- 21:15Speaker 1: of the hour. But right now the nephew is out,
- 21:17Speaker 1: Junior is in with Run that prank back what you
- 21:20Speaker 1: got for his junior? You know, Shirley, You know, as
- 21:23Speaker 1: I think about what I was going to do, and
- 21:26Speaker 1: you know, because I'm the king of pranks, so I
- 21:28Speaker 1: might as well, gee y'all this one. And y'all, boy,
- 21:32Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I mean, you buy with
- 21:33Speaker 1: just you because I am the cake. He it is
- 21:37Speaker 1: cake lady, listen, go ahead, run a cat o cake?
- 21:42Speaker 1: Did this is Barbara? Oh? Yeah? I need to ask

- 21:58Speaker 1: you know, bachelotte parties and uh you know when Well,
- 22:02Speaker 1: what exactly are you looking for? Sir? No? No, no,

- 22:11Speaker 1: be delivered to my daughter's school on Tuesday, and you
- 22:14Speaker 1: know she and junior High school, thirteen years old. The
- 22:17Speaker 1: cake was supposed to have hand them on towna on it,
- 22:20Speaker 1: and it was supposed to say happy birthday. Now the
- 22:23Speaker 1: cake get delivered over there today and I can't, for
- 22:26Speaker 1: the life of meek believe that this is opper. Were
- 22:28Speaker 1: in her classroom, all the classmates in there, some teachers
- 22:31Speaker 1: in there. The principle that came down. We've been to
- 22:33Speaker 1: have cake and ice cream for the kids, but when
- 22:36Speaker 1: they open up the cake, it's a man's private part
- 22:39Speaker 1: on the cake. What oh, No, sir, No, sir, no, sir, no, suthing. No,
- 22:44Speaker 1: we have never made a mistake like that. JA made
- 22:47Speaker 1: that mistake that I've been calling this place all damn day.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Y'all didn't made this damn mistake. And somebody gonna pay
- 22:53Speaker 1: for this. I got thirty, I got thirteen year olds. No,
- 22:57Speaker 1: you're gonna have to low it down now, okay, because
- 22:59Speaker 1: we can't get nothing if you're yelling and I can't
- 23:01Speaker 1: hear you. Okay, I need the lord that you should
- 23:03Speaker 1: have lord that private part off that cake. That's where sir,
- 23:07Speaker 1: what is your name? My name is trouble. And now
- 23:10Speaker 1: where was the cake supposed to be going? Middle school?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Middle school? Now when was it delivered to? I just
- 23:16Speaker 1: don't see them stas there right there. You can't remember.
- 23:19Speaker 1: That's how y'all made the damn mistake. Sir. Please just
- 23:22Speaker 1: answer the question so we can get this settled. Sir. No,
- 23:25Speaker 1: what who is the owner there? Excuse me? I am
- 23:28Speaker 1: the owner. My name is Boba. Now if you give
- 23:31Speaker 1: me the information, I'll try to make this thing right
- 23:33Speaker 1: because it couldn't have been my company. Are you absolutely sure, sir?
- 23:37Speaker 1: I'm positive y'all are the ones that delivered the damn Okay, listen,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I got all these thirteen year old kids in their
- 23:43Speaker 1: chromatized and the teachers and okay looking at me crazy,
- 23:47Speaker 1: I can, sir, but I need to calm down just
- 23:51Speaker 1: for a minute. Let me ask you this. Wait wait, wait,
- 23:53Speaker 1: you want me to calm down. You should have took
- 23:55Speaker 1: that private part down. Then I can understand. But I
- 23:58Speaker 1: don't think it was my company, okay, because we've never
- 24:01Speaker 1: made a mistake like that. Now, we're very careful with
- 24:03Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. Now, cirtain, hold on one night,
- 24:06Speaker 1: come here, do you know anything about a cake? Delivery
- 24:09Speaker 1: a Hannah Montana cake going to middle school today? Y'all
- 24:13Speaker 1: did y'all make any deliveries? Okay, thanks, sir. I just
- 24:16Speaker 1: talked to my driver and he's been with me about
- 24:19Speaker 1: eight years, sir, and we've never had a problem like this.
- 24:21Speaker 1: He's never delivered a cake over there, sir. Are you
- 24:24Speaker 1: sure it was my cousin? Damn show this place, lady,
- 24:28Speaker 1: it's this play your driver line. You know, you know

- 24:38Speaker 1: ye old kids out of I can't understand. I would
- 24:40Speaker 1: be upset too. I have children too, so I can
- 24:42Speaker 1: understand what you're trying to say. But sir, what I'm
- 24:44Speaker 1: trying to tell you is, this is not my company
- 24:47Speaker 1: you're talking about. We wouldn't have done anything like that.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I've been in business with thirteen years. What is your name?
- 24:52Speaker 1: My name is Barbara. Okay, so you're the one behind
- 24:56Speaker 1: all of this on this damned cake was full to
- 24:58Speaker 1: be handa Montana and want to be an a man's
- 25:00Speaker 1: private party on the cake, So come on, stop and
- 25:04Speaker 1: think about it. You deliver high school and a duck
- 25:08Speaker 1: cake to a school. Now, I understand you. Ups, lady,
- 25:12Speaker 1: do you understand what has happened at my daughter's school?
- 25:15Speaker 1: And I apologize parts, sir, but I don't believe that
- 25:18Speaker 1: you ordered the cake from my company. Okay. As a
- 25:21Speaker 1: matter of fact, we made cakes on Friday, sir. Wasn't
- 25:24Speaker 1: no cake delivered today? Sir? It's a Tuesday, and what
- 25:27Speaker 1: the hell I mean it's a Tuesday. Ain't nobody in

- 25:35Speaker 1: me know. I'll be happy to make a cake for you, sir,
- 25:40Speaker 1: and to send it to your daughter. But sir, it
- 25:42Speaker 1: wasn't my company that I won't won't no more damn cake.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. Let me tell you what
- 25:47Speaker 1: I'm going to do, Lady. I'm gonna call my lawyer.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna get with the police, and I'm coming over
- 25:52Speaker 1: there to shut that down. You won't sell a cupcake
- 25:56Speaker 1: when I get through with y'all, sir, you know what't?
- 25:58Speaker 1: You don't go to fun? Me tell you something. This
- 26:01Speaker 1: is my business that I've worked for thirteen years to build.
- 26:05Speaker 1: You ain't gonna come up here doing I'm gonna shut
- 26:08Speaker 1: that dud. You come over in the sand more icing
- 26:11Speaker 1: up your Your mammy won't even know who you are.

- 27:08Speaker 1: is you're listening to me. I ain't listening what you
- 27:10Speaker 1: got to say to me. This is nephew Tommy from
- 27:13Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by
- 27:16Speaker 1: your girlfriends. Oh my god, oh oh yes, I gotta
- 27:28Speaker 1: get up this moll Oh my god, I'm gonna killer

- 27:40Speaker 1: No Oez. You ain't on the radio now, but you're
- 27:43Speaker 1: gonna be on there in the morning. Oh lord, no, no,
- 27:46Speaker 1: my preaching. Everybody else gonna be on it. Oh my god,
- 27:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill it. I'm gonna kill it. I'm gonna

- 28:05Speaker 1: be like the thief in the night on hers. I
- 28:12Speaker 1: gotta ask you one more thing. What is what is
- 28:15Speaker 1: the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in
- 28:18Speaker 1: the land, Steve hard and Morning Show. Y'all. What can
- 28:25Speaker 1: you make it? Can you make a socket to the cake? Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 1: I can make a socket to your cake, but but
- 28:29Speaker 1: I hope it ain't got him done in it. Y'all around,
- 28:32Speaker 1: get round. That's what somebody like that they business there,
- 28:40Speaker 1: see see y'all guts to come on. I need all
- 28:43Speaker 1: this anniversary. I need this. Come on. I praise an
- 28:52Speaker 1: honor you, thank you very much, because can't nobody else
- 28:55Speaker 1: to do this what I'm doing now Ever, others try,
- 28:58Speaker 1: but they never succeed because I ain't you. You know,
- 29:03Speaker 1: nephew thinks he's cute. A let's go to coming up
- 29:09Speaker 1: at the top of the hour entertainment and national news
- 29:12Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show well. Cardi B
- 29:19Speaker 1: has added an extra pop of color to her iconic
- 29:23Speaker 1: hip tattoo, you know the one. Cardi showed off her
- 29:26Speaker 1: updated peacock ink on Instagram, revealing the latest intricate details.
- 29:31Speaker 1: So after ten years, she says, I gave my peacock
- 29:34Speaker 1: tattoo a makeover. Cardi caption the side by side image
- 29:38Speaker 1: the hot new pink butterfly and several new peacock feathers
- 29:42Speaker 1: and flowers, and Cardi's body art is also significantly brighter
- 29:46Speaker 1: and more colorful thanks to additional touch ups. Okay, yeah,
- 29:52Speaker 1: I saw it. Yeah, it's yeah, it's bright. It's bright
- 29:54Speaker 1: for sure. Yeah yeah, yeah did you guys? Yeah, that's
- 30:00Speaker 1: resolutely junior. You see it? Yeah, I have sick or sell.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I've been stuck with enough needles. That's enough. That's pain.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I see pain when I look at this, that's Do
- 30:12Speaker 1: you have any tattoos? Junior? No, you see do you
- 30:16Speaker 1: have any us? Private? Us? I said it's private. What
- 30:24Speaker 1: your tattoo is private? I don't discuss them. Oh you
- 30:27Speaker 1: don't discuss them? Okay, anybody markins I may have. That
- 30:33Speaker 1: means a resounding yes. Oh any really? So I mean
- 30:38Speaker 1: you got tattooed. No, I doesn't. I didn't get tattooed
- 30:41Speaker 1: at a tattoo parlor. But I've been tattooed. Oh so
- 30:49Speaker 1: I was asking, but it was not at a parlor. Yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I know we're talking about. Okay, I got you. You
- 30:58Speaker 1: don't You don't have any carlor, I don't have any
- 31:00Speaker 1: No call you know how you don't call that one
- 31:05Speaker 1: because see we've been to the spa together, but we
- 31:11Speaker 1: hung out. Okay, a lot of things. You don't know.
- 31:14Speaker 1: You want one? I want one? Yeah, I want to
- 31:20Speaker 1: get some eyes. Why because my eyes are small. No,
- 31:26Speaker 1: They'll just be white dots and a little black pupil
- 31:30Speaker 1: in the middle. What would that mean? No, because you chocolate,
- 31:34Speaker 1: just get white eyes and black dots in the middle
- 31:39Speaker 1: and with everything in you right call but right on
- 31:43Speaker 1: your ass though. Somebody seeing so somebody seeing you? Go
- 31:49Speaker 1: you you looking at it? It's looking at chick. I
- 31:53Speaker 1: hate you. What is the dots? I don't called their eyes?
- 32:00Speaker 1: Where did you looking for? Moving on, Shirley, I'm sorry,
- 32:06Speaker 1: I said, Yeah, I saw Cardi B's test and I
- 32:09Speaker 1: absolutely have no comment. M yeah, okay, as long as
- 32:13Speaker 1: she's happy, it makes her happy, all right. And other
- 32:17Speaker 1: trending news. I can I say this though, I actually
- 32:21Speaker 1: happened to be a fan of Cardi B. I actually
- 32:24Speaker 1: like her. Man, Yeah, who is? I like a lot?
- 32:27Speaker 1: And Marjorie be talking about the way that girl dressed
- 32:30Speaker 1: all the time, Marjorie saying that girl be hidden it
- 32:36Speaker 1: Cardium comments and other trending news. George Floyd's little daughter,
- 32:42Speaker 1: gianna I received the most surprising gift from singer Barbara
- 32:46Speaker 1: Barbara streisand uh St streisand made the six year old
- 32:50Speaker 1: a Disney stockholder. How about that? Meaning that Gianna now
- 32:54Speaker 1: owns a piece of the most magical company in the world. Okay,
- 32:59Speaker 1: the happiest on Earth. Gianna showed up her certificate from
- 33:02Speaker 1: Barbara streisand in an adorable Instagram selfie, grote is Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: that is all right, Steve. It's time now to get
- 33:12Speaker 1: caught up on today's headlines. Missanna's going to update us
- 33:15Speaker 1: on the shooting in Dallas. Another one here with the
- 33:18Speaker 1: facts and bring us all up to speed as our
- 33:21Speaker 1: very own miss An, thank you very very much, And
- 33:24Speaker 1: we got to start with some other stuff that they're
- 33:25Speaker 1: also equally as upsetting. The FEDS are reviewing the local
- 33:29Speaker 1: investigations now and to the depths of two black men,
- 33:31Speaker 1: each found hanging from trees in different areas of southern California.
- 33:36Speaker 1: So far, local authorities in Palmdale and Victorville are listing
- 33:39Speaker 1: both as suicides. How their families don't buy that, and
- 33:42Speaker 1: neither do the protesters who turned out over the weekend
- 33:45Speaker 1: and continue to turn out to voice their opposition to
- 33:48Speaker 1: that diagnosis of that conclusion. The California State Senate, in fact,
- 33:52Speaker 1: began its session this week with a moment of silence
- 33:55Speaker 1: for both men Robert Fuller and Malcolm Harsh by the way,
- 33:59Speaker 1: it's folks and for the Harsh family, and a GLI
- 34:01Speaker 1: says quote, there have been at least three other reports
- 34:04Speaker 1: of the supposed suicide by hanging of black men found
- 34:07Speaker 1: near Victorville, California. And that's an area, he says, has
- 34:10Speaker 1: a large population of skinheads, white supremacists and clansman. And
- 34:14Speaker 1: he says, nobody saying anything about that. And if that's
- 34:16Speaker 1: not enough yet, another black man was reportedly found hanging
- 34:19Speaker 1: from a tree in Houston, Texas the other day. Police
- 34:22Speaker 1: they are labeling in an apparent suicide apparent homicide, though
- 34:25Speaker 1: not a suicide. And now a fourth young a black
- 34:29Speaker 1: man named Dominique Alexander, found hanging from a tree inside
- 34:32Speaker 1: a park in Harlem, New York. Investigating that one. President
- 34:36Speaker 1: Trump me while unveiled his version of police reform yesterday.
- 34:39Speaker 1: It came in the form of an executive order signed
- 34:41Speaker 1: in the White House. Rose Garden. Many believe that proper
- 34:44Speaker 1: training might have prevented the tragic deaths of Antoine Rose
- 34:49Speaker 1: and both of them jan As part of this new
- 34:52Speaker 1: credentialing process, choke calls will be banned, except if an
- 34:57Speaker 1: officer's life is at risk, while neither Antoine arose a
- 35:01Speaker 1: boff of Jeane. Some of the other people that he
- 35:03Speaker 1: mentioned died as a result of chokeholes, but both were
- 35:06Speaker 1: shot by police. Critics note that in case after questionable case,
- 35:10Speaker 1: cops always claimed they felt their lives were at risk,
- 35:13Speaker 1: even when killing unarmed black men running away and not
- 35:16Speaker 1: toward them. So some Capitol Hill folks say the President's
- 35:19Speaker 1: ideas may be well meaning, but that they're very modest.
- 35:22Speaker 1: In fact, Trump spent much of his time yesterday praising
- 35:25Speaker 1: law enforcement people instead of talking about the victims of
- 35:28Speaker 1: police brutality. House Democrats, meanwhile, have already introduced a bill
- 35:32Speaker 1: that would, among other things, banned chokeholes. Five years ago today,
- 35:36Speaker 1: a white man named Dylan Rufe murdered nine innocent black
- 35:39Speaker 1: men and women as they attended Bible study and Mother
- 35:42Speaker 1: Emmanuel Church in Charlotte Chalton excuse me, South Carolina. A
- 35:46Speaker 1: top Walt Disney Company executive has been suspended while investigations
- 35:51Speaker 1: supposed he taken a place about her alleged racist behavior.
- 35:55Speaker 1: ABC News executive Barba Fedida accused in a recent Huffington
- 35:58Speaker 1: Post article of making system walks referring to Robin Roberts
- 36:02Speaker 1: of a Good Morning American. Finally, shades of Miami vice
- 36:05Speaker 1: the FED season more than two million dollars right off
- 36:08Speaker 1: the coast of Puerto Rico. Now back to the Steve
- 36:10Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show well President Trump's
- 36:16Speaker 1: police reform bill that was yesterday. He signed an executive
- 36:21Speaker 1: order aimed at tracking misconduct by law enforcers and creating
- 36:25Speaker 1: incentives for departments to improve their practices, and he banned
- 36:30Speaker 1: chokeholes unless the police officer's life is at risk. The
- 36:34Speaker 1: Trump Administration's order rejects calls to defund the police that
- 36:39Speaker 1: have gained traction from within the nationwide protest movement. Take
- 36:43Speaker 1: a listen. But I strongly opposed the radical and dangerous
- 36:46Speaker 1: efforts to defend, dismantle, and dissolve our police departments, especially
- 36:51Speaker 1: now when we've achieved the lowest recorded crime rates in
- 36:54Speaker 1: recent history. Americans know the truth. Without police, there is chaos.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Without law, there is anarchy, and without safety, there is catastrophe.
- 37:05Speaker 1: The police reform bill comes as lawmakers of both parties
- 37:09Speaker 1: pursue who wrote there for him exactly, and he said,
- 37:12Speaker 1: he said, defending it's defund Yeah, come on. The Police
- 37:19Speaker 1: reform Bill comes as lawmakers of both parties pursue legislation
- 37:22Speaker 1: to reform law enforcement in the wake of George Floyd's
- 37:25Speaker 1: death in police custody. President Trump also said that his predecessor,
- 37:29Speaker 1: President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden didn't know how
- 37:33Speaker 1: to do police reform. He just got to be yes,
- 37:39Speaker 1: he got to He said I saw it yesterday. He
- 37:42Speaker 1: said eight they couldn't do it. And now he's putting
- 37:45Speaker 1: Biden's name in it, because that's going to be if
- 37:47Speaker 1: you listen to the reform bill, it's not much. Most
- 37:51Speaker 1: police department is now because of that. Have already said
- 37:55Speaker 1: we're going to ban the chocole. He ain't thought a
- 37:58Speaker 1: nothing new right, better ways of policing and and all
- 38:04Speaker 1: of this here David trying to figure that out for years.
- 38:08Speaker 1: He ain't gonna do nothing because he got back to
- 38:11Speaker 1: right to what he wanted to just say, we're not
- 38:13Speaker 1: disbanding police departments. This man has said nothing about healing
- 38:18Speaker 1: this country in any way to make the protesters feel better,
- 38:23Speaker 1: to make black people feel better, to make white people
- 38:27Speaker 1: feel better. He has not made a single statement as
- 38:31Speaker 1: the leader of a country ravished in turmol steady rising
- 38:37Speaker 1: numbers on this COVID thing. He to quit talking about that.
- 38:40Speaker 1: He just liked the rest of them, stupid ass Americans
- 38:43Speaker 1: that think COVID just overcause they tired of being in
- 38:46Speaker 1: the house. Right, And he didn't have a mask on
- 38:48Speaker 1: or anything. He's never won a mask. He didn't have
- 38:51Speaker 1: one on. He've been taking that drug. Surely he cooled.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I'm telling you he's not leading by example at all
- 38:59Speaker 1: at all. You always have to take a hit, a swipe.
- 39:03Speaker 1: But his predecessor, he is meeting by example. He don't
- 39:06Speaker 1: wear a mask. A whole lot of people they wearing
- 39:09Speaker 1: that's true. Yeah, he says nothing to heal the nation.
- 39:13Speaker 1: And people have been more hate during this administration than
- 39:16Speaker 1: ever before. I thank god for these protesters that's out there,
- 39:20Speaker 1: white and black, red, yellow, green, blue, black, white. All right,
- 39:26Speaker 1: Coming up next thirty four after the hour, we'll have
- 39:29Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this
- 39:32Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Richard Brooks's family and friends honored
- 39:39Speaker 1: him Monday night during a moving memorial service in his
- 39:42Speaker 1: Atlanta neighborhood, the invent The event was in Southwest Atlanta.
- 39:46Speaker 1: It lasted about four hours. It saw three to four
- 39:50Speaker 1: hundred people show up to pay their respects. It was
- 39:53Speaker 1: held about ten minutes away from the Wendy's parking lot
- 39:56Speaker 1: where Richard Brooks was killed. The ex Atlanta officer Garrett Rolf,
- 40:00Speaker 1: who fatally shot Brooks, had twelve previous misconduct complaints, including
- 40:07Speaker 1: use of excessive force. The Brooks family attorney said he
- 40:12Speaker 1: wasn't surprised by Rolf's record. See right there, twelves back
- 40:18Speaker 1: to the police reform, I was saying before, Steve, Because
- 40:23Speaker 1: if they're not going to do anything on the local level,
- 40:26Speaker 1: you know, with the police and their their bad records,
- 40:30Speaker 1: or they should be reprimanded, we're back to where we started. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:35Speaker 1: he's allowed to work continue there with all with twelve
- 40:39Speaker 1: previous misconduct complaints. If we got so many complaints, we
- 40:43Speaker 1: wouldn't be working anywhere, right. But if we don't start
- 40:47Speaker 1: policing the police, nothing's going to change. Listen, with all
- 40:53Speaker 1: these people in the streets, this man still shot this
- 40:56Speaker 1: brother in the back. Right, doing all these protests all
- 41:01Speaker 1: over the world, all of the world, he still shot
- 41:05Speaker 1: a brother in the back. Yeah, it didn't think what
- 41:08Speaker 1: thought twice about anything that's going nothing. Yeah, five black
- 41:15Speaker 1: dudes have committed suicide by lynching themselves. What where? Yeah?
- 41:21Speaker 1: Where where that rash come from? What movie they immulating? Yeah?
- 41:29Speaker 1: What free black dude hangs his self? What? Yeah? Ible dog.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I've been around a long time. I've never heard that
- 41:38Speaker 1: get out, and now all of a sudden, five and
- 41:40Speaker 1: they all committed suicide through hanging. That's a hard way
- 41:43Speaker 1: to kill yourself, bro. Yeah, anywhere you're thinkable, Yeah, it's unthinkable,
- 41:49Speaker 1: it is. And we're supposed to buy that and just
- 41:53Speaker 1: take that, take that like, oh oh okay, that really five? Yeah,
- 42:00Speaker 1: this is it's just I mean, what can you say?
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's like, I don't when is this going to get better?
- 42:09Speaker 1: Thank God for the people that are out there demonstrating.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Thank God for them and keep them safe and everything,
- 42:14Speaker 1: and I hope you know they stay peaceful for sure
- 42:17Speaker 1: and wear their masks. But oh my god, this we're
- 42:21Speaker 1: in trouble. Yeah, and it's time for a change, it
- 42:24Speaker 1: really really is. It's time. Well, I mean it has
- 42:27Speaker 1: to happen. I think this is I think this is
- 42:30Speaker 1: a turn because it's going out a rate that I've
- 42:34Speaker 1: never seen protests go ever in my life. Yea, and
- 42:38Speaker 1: things are starting to happen. Three and four weeks of
- 42:40Speaker 1: protesting going on. We need something meaningful to come from
- 42:45Speaker 1: the administration, but we can quit looking for that. He's
- 42:49Speaker 1: already done all he gonna do. He passed that little
- 42:51Speaker 1: week as reform bill. They've gotten, and he's still saying,
- 42:54Speaker 1: even with that, that he's the law and order president.
- 42:57Speaker 1: He's still saying that which Nixon said many years ago.
- 43:01Speaker 1: He didn't get that from that, y'all. Somebody wrote it
- 43:03Speaker 1: from that rights this dude, if he took a history test,
- 43:09Speaker 1: promise you he'd flunk it. Yeah, Yeah, I know we
- 43:17Speaker 1: have a lot of work to do, we really really do.
- 43:19Speaker 1: But I'm just glad that a spotlight is on it
- 43:22Speaker 1: right now. You know, this systemic racism that we've had
- 43:26Speaker 1: to endure for the majority of our lives, our parents,
- 43:29Speaker 1: our grandparents, you know, at least it's to the forefront now.
- 43:33Speaker 1: And I do believe what you say, Steve. It's because
- 43:35Speaker 1: people were at home and they had a chance to
- 43:37Speaker 1: actually see it for themselves. You know, I just believe that.
- 43:43Speaker 1: I believe it too. You know, it's a shame that
- 43:46Speaker 1: we that had to happen for you know, people to
- 43:49Speaker 1: really take what we were saying as truth. But we're
- 43:54Speaker 1: here now. I've learned this in my life. When pain
- 43:58Speaker 1: goes away, it always leaves a gift. Tragedy brings about change.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Pain always leaves a gift. If you want a gift,
- 44:09Speaker 1: go through some pain, and if you get to the
- 44:11Speaker 1: other side, you'll always notice it always leaves a gift. Yeah,
- 44:15Speaker 1: this will be the gift from twenty twenty in the
- 44:18Speaker 1: middle of a crisis. All right, time to switch gears again.
- 44:24Speaker 1: It's time for today's prank phone call. We'll get into
- 44:27Speaker 1: that right after this you're listening to coming up at
- 44:33Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:36Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today, the subject torn between
- 44:39Speaker 1: two lovers, Torn between two lovers. Wow, right now, Nephew's out,
- 44:46Speaker 1: the Junior's in with today's prank phone call. What you
- 44:49Speaker 1: got for us? Junior? You know, you know I have
- 44:52Speaker 1: to do this because you know I'm the greatest, and
- 44:56Speaker 1: you know, I don't even know if y'all notice, but
- 44:58Speaker 1: preachers have why yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's why
- 45:04Speaker 1: this one is called the Preacher's Wife. Hello. Hello, I'm
- 45:11Speaker 1: trying to reach a sister Angela, Sister Angela, please, how
- 45:16Speaker 1: you doing? My name is Brother Clayton. I'm calling you
- 45:18Speaker 1: from a greatest Baptist Church. How are you doing this morning?
- 45:21Speaker 1: Oh I'm fine, I'm fine. Yeah, listen, I know that
- 45:27Speaker 1: your husband, Reverend Reverend Jonathan, is actually one of the
- 45:31Speaker 1: candidates that we may be choosing to be our pastor
- 45:34Speaker 1: since our past pastor has stepped down. Yes, yes, yes,
- 45:38Speaker 1: I'm very proud of my husband. I think you'll make
- 45:41Speaker 1: a very good candidate. As a matter of fact, here
- 45:43Speaker 1: at the church, we've been asking a lot of the
- 45:46Speaker 1: deacons and and and assistant ministers here have been asking
- 45:51Speaker 1: different questions, different things that they would be doing once
- 45:54Speaker 1: they became pastor. You know, like your first one hundred days.
- 45:57Speaker 1: What would you try and change here at the church?
- 46:00Speaker 1: You'll try and make better so to speak. Yet, But
- 46:02Speaker 1: but what my husband he's not here right now. Do
- 46:04Speaker 1: you need to speak to him? No? Not right now?
- 46:06Speaker 1: What what we decided to do? Uh, sus Angela is
- 46:10Speaker 1: actually called the wives and ask them a few questions. Oh, okay,
- 46:15Speaker 1: that's a little different. Sure, And we don't we don't
- 46:18Speaker 1: want to take up too much of your time. You know,
- 46:20Speaker 1: a lot of times. Uh. If a pastor is stressed
- 46:24Speaker 1: at home, nine times out of ten, he's likely to
- 46:27Speaker 1: be stressed at the church. So I guess, my, my,
- 46:31Speaker 1: My biggest question to you is is your husband stressed
- 46:36Speaker 1: at home? Uh? No, not that I know of. He
- 46:41Speaker 1: eats regularly, he's on a good diet. You know, he
- 46:44Speaker 1: gets goes to the doctor regularly. He gets his physical
- 46:48Speaker 1: um pretty good at home. I don't have a reason
- 46:50Speaker 1: to believe that he's stressed it. He certainly hasn't brought
- 46:53Speaker 1: anything to my attention. Okay, No, No, I don't. I don't.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I don't. I don't, I don't. I don't think you
- 46:58Speaker 1: follow me, sister, since Andrew, what I'm saying is he's
- 47:02Speaker 1: stressed behind closed doors? Is he stressed in that fashion? Um,
- 47:10Speaker 1: I'm not. I'm not too sure I follow you. You
- 47:13Speaker 1: say behind closed doors? What exactly did you mean by that?
- 47:16Speaker 1: Is he is he stressed in y'all's relations? Is he stressed?
- 47:23Speaker 1: Are you asking me about my personal business? Brother? Well,
- 47:27Speaker 1: what I'm saying is if he's stressed at home, he'll
- 47:29Speaker 1: be stressed at the church. And if he's stressed at
- 47:32Speaker 1: the church, then the members are stressed. Then the congregation
- 47:35Speaker 1: is stressed, so the stress start with you. Excuse me,
- 47:40Speaker 1: if you are making sure that he's all right at home,
- 47:43Speaker 1: he's gonna be all right at the church. Um, I'm sorry, brother.
- 47:47Speaker 1: What was your name? Brother Clayton, Brother Clayton. I appreciate
- 47:51Speaker 1: you m conducting whatever interviews you guys need to conduct
- 47:55Speaker 1: with the candidates wives. I do think that's pretty much
- 47:58Speaker 1: personal territory and I really don't want to answer those
- 48:01Speaker 1: kind of questions. It's not personal since the Angela when
- 48:05Speaker 1: so many other people involved. See, that's why I'm asking
- 48:07Speaker 1: you the question, is your man stressed behind I could
- 48:12Speaker 1: assure you, yes that my husband is not stressed at home.
- 48:16Speaker 1: If I get your drift, he is not stressed behind
- 48:19Speaker 1: closed doors. Brother, And I would appreciate you if you
- 48:22Speaker 1: don't call. What these kind of questions are you asking
- 48:25Speaker 1: other candidates? Why these kind of questions? Well, I was
- 48:27Speaker 1: the one dedicated to call to give you a call,
- 48:31Speaker 1: and that's the question that I decided to come up
- 48:33Speaker 1: with because I want to know if a man is
- 48:35Speaker 1: gonna be stressed, because if he's gonna have tension at
- 48:38Speaker 1: the church, then then the congregation is going to have tension.
- 48:41Speaker 1: The church is gonna have tension, and the church cannot
- 48:43Speaker 1: move forward in the direction on Rayton, my husband and
- 48:46Speaker 1: I have been married twenty five years, and they've been
- 48:49Speaker 1: twenty five good years. If you get my drift, Okay,
- 48:53Speaker 1: he is not stressed at home, and whatever goes on
- 48:56Speaker 1: at home, my husband has sense enough not to take
- 48:58Speaker 1: it to the church. That is not something he's going
- 49:00Speaker 1: to do. So you don't about anybody else being stressed
- 49:04Speaker 1: at the congregation in the pulpit nowhere. Okay, we have
- 49:07Speaker 1: together at home, and I appreciate if you don't ask
- 49:09Speaker 1: me those kind of questions. Sometimes ask me, well, sometimes
- 49:14Speaker 1: a woman does not realize that a husband is stressed.
- 49:17Speaker 1: You understand that there's a possible way that you don't
- 49:20Speaker 1: know that he's stressed. So how can you get Let
- 49:23Speaker 1: me get your phone. A matter of fact, let me
- 49:24Speaker 1: get your full name. What's your first name? Let's just
- 49:27Speaker 1: go with brother Clayton right now. Could you please answer
- 49:29Speaker 1: this question? How can you guarantee that he is fully
- 49:33Speaker 1: not stressed? Brother Clayton? How calling the Lord real quick?
- 49:38Speaker 1: Hold on it, Brother Clayton. I'm an honorable woman. I'm
- 49:42Speaker 1: a woman who stands by my man. Okay, but you
- 49:45Speaker 1: are asking me some questions that very personal, very private,
- 49:50Speaker 1: very confidential. You are asking me questions that a question
- 49:54Speaker 1: is the safety of my marriage? Okay, my husband is
- 49:57Speaker 1: not stressed and if I don't send him away from
- 50:04Speaker 1: my home stressed? Okay, how do you know? But what
- 50:09Speaker 1: are you doing to make sure that this is less stress? Clayton,
- 50:12Speaker 1: I'm about to end this phone call. Okay, now, if
- 50:15Speaker 1: you know, we're not gonna end this phone call until
- 50:17Speaker 1: that we know we I need to know the Reverend
- 50:20Speaker 1: Jonathan is not stressed at home. They put they assign
- 50:24Speaker 1: me to talk to you, and that's what I'm going
- 50:26Speaker 1: to do, and I'm gonna love he is not stressed.
- 50:28Speaker 1: I don't know who told you that the man is
- 50:30Speaker 1: not stressed. If he had to stress around you, I
- 50:33Speaker 1: bet you. I bet you his stress because you're stressed,
- 50:36Speaker 1: ain't me right now? Now we're both stressed out. How
- 50:38Speaker 1: can we understand that that man is not stressed. That's
- 50:41Speaker 1: the end of this conversation. Do you understand me? Give
- 50:44Speaker 1: me your full name right now, give me some intimate details,
- 50:47Speaker 1: and then I'll give you my number to cross the mind.
- 50:49Speaker 1: You wait till my husband gets here. If this is
- 50:52Speaker 1: gonna cost him a candidacy, does this so be, We'll
- 50:54Speaker 1: find another church. I'd have some choice words for you
- 50:57Speaker 1: right now, Brother Clayton, I will give you my name
- 51:01Speaker 1: right now. Do you have a yes, I'm gonna writer
- 51:03Speaker 1: right now. The letter N N is in Nancy. I
- 51:09Speaker 1: know how to spell N E P H E W.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Name is that? Nephew? Your name is nephew Clayton. My
- 51:19Speaker 1: name ain't nephew Clayton. My name is nephew Tommy. From
- 51:22Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by

- 51:53Speaker 1: believe I let him. You know, thanks before? Oh my god, Timmy.
- 52:00Speaker 1: I will tell you if this was twenty five years ago, brother,
- 52:04Speaker 1: I cussed up a storm. I'm so glad I'm a
- 52:08Speaker 1: safe woman. Well listen, listen. Can I ask you one
- 52:13Speaker 1: more thing? Yes, what is the baddest radio show in
- 52:17Speaker 1: the land? The Steve Harvey Morning Show, where that is
- 52:25Speaker 1: Preacher's wife. Yeah, preachers have white twice called praise yourself.
- 52:35Speaker 1: You know how long I had to come up with that.
- 52:37Speaker 1: It took a while to come up by by by
- 52:42Speaker 1: by by by a month, a month, thirty days. It
- 52:47Speaker 1: took thirty Yeah, come up with preacher's wife. That's genius.
- 52:52Speaker 1: That's why I do. I come up with just thirty
- 52:54Speaker 1: days by by by thirty man. Let me mash you something. Boy.
- 53:00Speaker 1: You must have prayed on that hume. Hey, O my
- 53:04Speaker 1: knees every night? Did it? Did it hit me? I
- 53:07Speaker 1: opened my eyes? I said, Oh, preacher's wife, it hits
- 53:11Speaker 1: you just like that, just like that. Oh, I don't
- 53:13Speaker 1: ahead do this or you check that off your list?

- 54:07Speaker 1: doing it all right, ladies and gentlemen, it's that time.
- 54:10Speaker 1: It's time for the Strawberry Letter with my good friends.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Shirley straw Berry. Thank you my good friend Junior. Subject
- 54:18Speaker 1: torn between two lovers, Dear Stephen, Shirley. Two years ago,
- 54:23Speaker 1: I met the man of my dreams and he loves me,
- 54:28Speaker 1: motivates me, and we can't get enough of each other sexually.
- 54:31Speaker 1: We've been talking about marriage and starting a family soon.
- 54:35Speaker 1: There's just one problem. Recently, I've been thinking a lot
- 54:39Speaker 1: about my ex boyfriend, and I decided to call to
- 54:43Speaker 1: see how he's been doing. I wanted to let him
- 54:45Speaker 1: know that I've found happiness again. We're good friends despite
- 54:49Speaker 1: how we broke up, so I knew he would be
- 54:52Speaker 1: happy for me. He was very happy to hear from
- 54:55Speaker 1: me and said he wanted to see me so we
- 54:57Speaker 1: could catch up since it's been a while. He suggested
- 55:01Speaker 1: that I come by one day after I work out,
- 55:03Speaker 1: since he lives by the gym we both used to
- 55:06Speaker 1: go to. I told my new man that I was
- 55:09Speaker 1: going to stop by to say hi to an old friend,
- 55:12Speaker 1: and he was cool with it. I ended up skipping
- 55:15Speaker 1: the gym and went straight to my ex's house. We
- 55:18Speaker 1: talked and laughed and went over all of our good
- 55:21Speaker 1: and bad times. He said he wanted to hold me
- 55:24Speaker 1: one last time before he would let me leave. He
- 55:28Speaker 1: pulled me up to him and gave me a long,
- 55:32Speaker 1: passionate kiss, which led to a lot of passionate for play.
- 55:36Speaker 1: I gave in eventually and we made love. Needless to say,
- 55:41Speaker 1: the sex was all that and more so. Our sexual
- 55:45Speaker 1: relationship has continued. I am still in love with my
- 55:48Speaker 1: new guy, and I know I'm playing a dangerous game now.
- 55:53Speaker 1: My ex is saying that he wants me back and
- 55:55Speaker 1: he wants to marry me, But all he's been showing
- 55:58Speaker 1: me is wild and crazy sex. How can I figure
- 56:01Speaker 1: out if he's really making plans to be with me
- 56:03Speaker 1: or if he's only being selfish to make me leave
- 56:06Speaker 1: My good man. Okay, come on, now, you already know
- 56:10Speaker 1: what this is. You already know, and let me tell
- 56:13Speaker 1: you something. You're just as guilty as he is. There
- 56:16Speaker 1: is no better sex and break up sex. Okay, everybody
- 56:19Speaker 1: knows that. Everybody knows that you didn't have to go
- 56:22Speaker 1: over there. You know you're playing with fire. You know
- 56:25Speaker 1: you want to get burned. You said you've been thinking
- 56:27Speaker 1: about him anyway. All you needed was for an excuse.
- 56:30Speaker 1: You didn't have to tell you knew boo, you were
- 56:33Speaker 1: going to say hi to an old friend. You couldn't
- 56:36Speaker 1: wait to get over there. You didn't even go to
- 56:38Speaker 1: the gym anything like you said, and you certainly didn't
- 56:42Speaker 1: have to allow your ex to hold you one last time?
- 56:46Speaker 1: Really before? Are you fooling here? Not us? Not us?
- 56:51Speaker 1: You know that led to sex, and like I said,
- 56:53Speaker 1: break up sex is the best. I mean, what did
- 56:56Speaker 1: you think was gonna happen? That was his plan all along?
- 57:01Speaker 1: And now that he has you, he do you realize
- 57:03Speaker 1: he has you right where he wants you, and he's
- 57:06Speaker 1: gonna string you along. He's gonna try to get you
- 57:08Speaker 1: to agree to marry him and not your new man.
- 57:11Speaker 1: You know it's an ego thing for him now, I mean,
- 57:14Speaker 1: no one or nothing is more attractive to him right
- 57:17Speaker 1: now than you. Okay, all his energy and everything is
- 57:22Speaker 1: gonna go into you because you're with someone else. Because
- 57:25Speaker 1: you're with someone else, so that you're a challenge to him.
- 57:28Speaker 1: Now you're, like I said, you're way more attractive and
- 57:30Speaker 1: he's gonna do whatever it takes to get you. So
- 57:33Speaker 1: don't fall for that. Don't let him play you. You
- 57:35Speaker 1: have a good man, you have you know, you've been
- 57:37Speaker 1: with him for two years and everything. Keep the good
- 57:41Speaker 1: man and let this X go. He's your X for
- 57:43Speaker 1: a reason. Come on now, girl, let's be smart about this.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Don't lose a good man messing around with this X
- 57:50Speaker 1: who's just playing Steve Torn between two lovers. I knew
- 57:57Speaker 1: the moment of the title. This was a woman who
- 57:59Speaker 1: wrote this, No dude right and then torn between two lovers.
- 58:03Speaker 1: Now we just got two women, that's all. Ain't nobody
- 58:08Speaker 1: told up about that? Only time you told up about that?
- 58:11Speaker 1: And if you get busted or one of them leaves,
- 58:15Speaker 1: that's only told Now. Here's the first line in the
- 58:20Speaker 1: letter that makes the rest of this letter soul dog
- 58:23Speaker 1: gone stupid. Two years ago, I met the man of
- 58:28Speaker 1: my dream right there pump your brakes. What's the rest
- 58:32Speaker 1: of the light of four My god, lady, you meet
- 58:36Speaker 1: the man of your dream. He loves you, he motivates you.
- 58:41Speaker 1: You can't get each other enough to each other sexually.
- 58:43Speaker 1: We've been talking about marriage and starting the family. Bam,
- 58:48Speaker 1: straight stop writing, right, dude, Like I tell me sometime,
- 58:52Speaker 1: if you're really trying to get your life together, go home, dog,
- 58:57Speaker 1: just go home. Yeah a man. I said this all
- 59:00Speaker 1: the time, and I ain't trying to sound righteous. It
- 59:02Speaker 1: took me a long time to figure it out myself.
- 59:04Speaker 1: I'm just be real with you. But if you really
- 59:06Speaker 1: want to get your life together, go home, go home
- 59:11Speaker 1: and let COVID work it out. Because I'm gonna tell
- 59:14Speaker 1: you right now. If you go home, COVID gonna let
- 59:17Speaker 1: you know if you need to stay or leave. Yeah, Steve,
- 59:22Speaker 1: So now, recently I've been thinking about this is the
- 59:25Speaker 1: problem though, been thinking about my ex boyfriend. So you
- 59:28Speaker 1: call and see how he was doing. See you you're
- 59:32Speaker 1: thirsty little something now been thinking about to call. We're
- 59:37Speaker 1: good friends, really, really, we're good friends. I'm gonna show
- 59:44Speaker 1: you how that you lied in that letter right there,
- 59:48Speaker 1: despite how we broke up. So I knew he would
- 59:50Speaker 1: be happy for me. He was very happy for me,
- 59:52Speaker 1: and said he wanted to see me, see how I
- 59:54Speaker 1: could catch up. Since it's been a while. He suggested
- 59:57Speaker 1: that I come by one day after work. Wait a minute,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: he wanted to see you so you can catch him
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: since it's been a while. I thought y'all said y'all
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: was good friends. Just go back the lie. That's a lot.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: We're good friends, you know. I just called it. Check. No, No,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: you hain't talked to him in a while. You've been
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: wondering what's going on, and you wanted to catch up.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: You're good friends. Hold on, Steve, hold right there on
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: that friend's part, the good friend's part. We'll have part
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three after
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: the hour. Today's strawberry letter, subject torn between two lovers.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letters subjects torn between two e lovers.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Yet this is crazy. Crazy lady in this letter that
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: met the man of her dreams. He loves them, motivates her.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: They can't get enough enough for each other's section. Ven
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I'm a married and having defendly Jack Pott women. There
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: are so many women wanting just that. But then she
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: said there's a problem though. I've been thinking about my
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: ex boyfriend, so I decided to call see how he's doing.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: And I also wanted to let him know that I
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: found happiness again. You know, because we're good friends despite
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: how we broke up, so I knew he'd be happy
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: for me. He was happy to hear from me. He
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: said he wanted to see me so we could catch
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: up since it's been a while. I thought you said
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: y'all was good friend, because you know what the deal is.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: He suggested that I come by one day after work
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: since he lives by the gem that we both used
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: to go to. Here's the other lot. I told my
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: new man that I was gonna stop by to say
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: hi to an old friend, and he was cool with it.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure you didn't say my ex. That's why
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: she set us up in the letters say were good friends?
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Did y'all ain't friends? And you didn't tell your boyfriend
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: that you was going to see your acts? You said
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: an old friend and he was cool with it. Now
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I told my new man I was gonna stop by
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and say how the old friend I ended up skipping
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the gym. That's because you ain't want to get sweaty twice,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: one more time, one more time, one more time. Come on,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I ended up skipping the gym. That's because you didn't
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: want to get sweaty twice two times, because you know
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: good hair well, while you skipped the gym because you
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: wanted him to see you, see you in that outfit.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: You didn't want to come over there, no gym clothes.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: You wore a dress over there with easy access. You
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: know what you did. I've had it done to me.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: How you stop over for I go to the gym? Cool?
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I'm thinking while I'm in that making that extraciality. Damn
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: that gym. We talked and laughed, went over all our
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: good and bad time. Then he said he wanted to
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: hold me one last time before he would let me lead.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Which is why you skip the gem, which is why
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you wore that outfit. That's why your makeup was all
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: and that's why you didn't go to the gym, because
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: it's what you He pulled me up to him and
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: gave me a long passionate kid, I bet your tongue
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: with just as far down his third as his war
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: was down your promise you that right there. Needless to say,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: we made We had a lot of passionate folk play.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: I gave in and we made love. Needless to say
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: that sex was all that and more. Now that's the
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: second time. Every time you have sex is good. In
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: your first man, you said we can't get enough for
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: each other sexually, So every time you have sex, it's good.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: It's the best ever in the world. So our sexual
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: relationship has continued. I am still in love with my
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: new guy, and I know I'm playing a dangerous game.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: But now my ex is saying he wants me back
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: and he wants to marry me. When when did he
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: When did he want to do that? Did he want
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: to marry you when y'all broke up the first time?
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Or is he saying that because he knows now you
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: can't found happiness and now he gonna lead you on
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: so he can cap having his cake and eat it too.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: You know it. But all he's been showing me is
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: wild and crazy sex chessca. He ain't got nothing else place.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: You're not feel to have no future. So what I
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: got to show you my bank statements for all my
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: damn credit report? Or why do I have to show
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: you a plan? You're not in my future? That's why
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: we're just having this wild and crazy sex. How can
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I figure out if he's really making plans to be
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: with me he's not with you, or am I or
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: as he or he's or if he's only being selfish
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: to make me leave my good man? He Ain't nobody
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: make you leave your good man. Ain't nobody make you
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: skip the jim. Ain't nobody make you call him to
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: check on him. Ain't nobody make you go over there?
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Ain't nobody make you have all that damn for a play.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Ain't nobody make you give in? Ain't nobody make you
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: and now you continue it because it's good sex to
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: have a sexual relationship. Ain't nobody made you do a
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: damn thing? Right? So, now, how he gonna make you
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: leave your good man? You haven't already left your good man?
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: What you're tripping for? You've already left your good man.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: You lied when you said you were stopping about to
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: say how to an old friend that you ain't y'all
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: ain't even friends. I hope he find out. A matter
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: of fact, if I knew him my team and you
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: will never tell. Yeah, she's gonna mess around and lose
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: a really good man. I really have nothing. Yeah, right,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: because he doesn't know all the good times and the
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: bad times, and y'all talked about him, and you're trying
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: to make sure if he'd write one of you all,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: y'all hamming is wild and crazy. Sit because that's all
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: y'all had before. Right, And he didn't even call her
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: the ex she called him. He wasn't looking for you.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: You walked up. You walked into the trap. I okay.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Poster comments Thank you Steve on today's Strawberry Letter at
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook, and please check
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on Demanding Now coming up
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: at forty six minutes after the hour. The NFL commissioner
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: says he supports NFL teams to sign Colin Kapern. Oh really,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: we'll get into it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: morning show. Okay, so you guys know this. Recently, NFL
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Commissioner Roger Goodell admitted they were wrong for not listening
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: to players sooner about racism and injustice in the black community.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: While on ESPN, Roger Goodell was asked what role does
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: he see Colin Kaepernick having with the NFL. Take a
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: listen to this, please. If he wants to resume his
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: career in the NFL, that obviously is going to take
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: a team to make that decision. But I welcome that
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: support the club making that decision and encourage them to
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: do that. If his efforts are not on the field,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: but and continuing to work in this space, we welcome
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: to that table and to be able to help us
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: and guide us and help us make better decisions about
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: the kinds of things that need to be done in communities.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: We have invited him in before them. We want to
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: make sure that everybody's welcome at that table and trying
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: to help us deal with some very complex, difficult issues
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: that have been around. Unfortunately for a long time. I
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: see it's some other issues because the first of all,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Roger Goodelle works for the owners. You understand that the
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: owners decide who the commissioner him is player, so he
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: works and he represents the owners. This is the only
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: thing they can say at this point. I don't know
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: that Colin Kaepernick has a football career after this long
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: being off. And I don't even think that's the important
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: thing here. I think the important thing is recognizing and
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: acknowledging the all of the sponsors who wanted to pull
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: and the rest of America who got hoodwink and bamboozle
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: by this president who formed this little mission so he
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: could seem like he was defending the flag and the military.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: He's never defended the flag or the military. He refused
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: induction into the Army bonespers Steve, he fought it off
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: with a rich boy medical excuse. He has no record
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: of defending American democracy and the flag. He has filed
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: bankruptcy more times than all of us on this show
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: put together and probably keen listeners and shout out to
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: our listeners, we love you so dull unifiled bankruptcy. That's
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: really the type of business man you are, because you
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: know how to manipulate the system. You can try stuff,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: throw money up against the wall, see what stick, and
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: then with some main working you file bankruptcy and leave
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: all these creditors holding and Steven. As you know, President
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Trump has lost two allies in his anti kneeling crusade. Nascar,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: are we know about that one and now the miracle
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: so much? Why don't you marry one? Oh? Coming up
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, We'll have more of
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: too well. As anger bubbles in parts of the country,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: some US police departments are facing their own crisis, and
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: some officers have now opted just to walk away. Atlanta
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: Police said in a statement that eight officers have resigned
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: from the department this month. The Atlanta Police Foundation earlier
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: had reported that nineteen officers resigned since the start of
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: the social injustice protests or demonstrations. The foundation has since
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: retracted that incorrect number. In South Florida, ten officers resigned
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: from their city SWAT unit over concerns about safety, saying
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: they feel restrained by the politics of it all by
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: their tactics. That's according to documents obtained by CNN and
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Buffalo New York. Nearly sixty officers resigned from the Forces
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Emergency Response Team over the suspension of two police officers
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: who were caught on video. We all saw this pushing
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: down a seventy five year old man. His name was
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Martin Gugino. And this man, this older gentleman has suffered
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: a fractured skull and he cannot walk as he continues
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: to recover from home, he can't. He's unable to walk. Now. Yeah,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: so you say police officers in that city resigned, Yeah,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: we know about that, sixty nearly sixty officers. But they
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: were from you know that special team, the Emergency Response Team.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: That's what they resigned from, from the police forces, Emergency
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Response Team, Steve, because those two officers were suspended when
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: they were caught on tape for pushing the man down.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: This is well, when that mortgage dude, they'll be back. Yeah,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: this be mad right now. But when we first get here. Yeah,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: and we told you earlier that President Trump signed an
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: executive order on police reform as he tried to address
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: the national outcry of police brutality. He has he's made
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: no attempt to address it, not that I've heard in
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: tweet all speech. No. No, I think he met with
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: some of the families. I do think he met with them,
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: but he still maintains this strong law and order stance.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Now check this out. Ben Carson said that he has
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: been working on the president's public displays of hostility, uh
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: towards at least towards the professional athletes. And he said
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: the president will get there. Well, he got to November.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: He got to get that because we're not having this
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: another fact exactly, So he needed to hear up and
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: get that. Yeah, but you're asking a man to get somewhere.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: He don't know the way too, that's the problem direction.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: You're right, You're right, Steve, But he's he don't know
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: no black people. What is an issue though with the community, though,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: there needs to be some kind of reform and more
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: communication and more dialogue because I'm telling you, on the
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: local level, this police reform bill, if they're just gonna
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: lie and not remand these officers the same, yeah, Yeah,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: it's a it's a vicious cycle. It's just a vicious
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: cycle of the same thing. Um, I'm saying for the
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: twentieth time mandatory police sentencing, it's the only way to
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: stop this. They that has to be written and concise
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: consequences for illegal behavior as a policeman. Policeman do not
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: have a bag to do anything they want to do
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: to the citizens of this country, right right, And I'm
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: just saying citizens of this country to sound like I'm
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: being more inclusive. It don't happen to nobody but black people, right.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I ain't seen no footage of them whipping no white boy.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I ain't seen no footage of them putting some young
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: white man at the car, shooting his ass in the back.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I ain't seen no damn footage of none of it
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: is happening. You know why, because there is none. It's
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: just us. We're tired, man, We're tired of it. And
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: if it was happening to your ass, you would be
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: tired too. Let him shoot two of your kids and
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: see how you feel and what you would do about that.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I bet you do something. Then, all right, Steve coming
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: up more trending stories and more of a Steve Harvey
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Morning Show at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Carlo, what
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: you got time for some music news? What's happening? All right?

- 1:16:06Speaker 1: is that to hear all of those hits? And you

- 1:16:57Speaker 1: updated peacock inc on Instagram the latest intricate details. So
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: after ten years, she says, I gave my peacock tattoo

- 1:17:10Speaker 1: the hot new pink butterfly and several new peacock feathers
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: and flowers, and Cardi's body art is also significantly brighter
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: and more colorful thanks to additional touch ups. M Okay,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: I saw it. Yeah, it's yeah, it's bright. It's bright
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, did you guys her body? Yeah? Absolutely, Junior,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: you see it? Yeah? I have sick. I've been stuck

- 1:18:36Speaker 1: been to the spa together, but we hung out. Okay,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: a lot of things. You don't know you. I want one.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I want one. I want to tato. Yeah, I do
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: get some eyes? Why because my eyes are small? No,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: they'd just be white dots and a little black pupil
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: in the middle. What would that mean? No, because you chocolate,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: just get white eyes and black dots in the middle
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: and with everything in you right, they call it, but
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: right on your ass though, somebody to see it. So
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: somebody seeing you? Go you you looking at it? It's
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: looking at you. I hate you. What is the dots?
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: I don't call their eyes? What is you looking for?
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Moving on, Shirley, I'm sorry. I saw Cardi bees tests
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: and I absolutely have no comment. M yeah, all right,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: coming up our last break of the day, this last
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: break of the day. Are you anywhere near the mic.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Aw off, mike, are you anywhere near the mic? So
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: it to sound like you know I'm distant? It did
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: it really did? Thank you drunk, Steve, you sound like yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: and coming up Steve closing remarks, And that's coming up
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after Wait till you hear this.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Don't go anywhere right after this you're listening or anybody
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: on last break of the day, last break of the
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you know what you want to call it? Week nine?
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Not anymore. No, I ain't on playing where you're going.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: It's too sick to go to a movie. My wife
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: keep reminding me, Steve, you're not doing anything, and nobody's
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: coming off. I said, baby, will be good that you're
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: over sixty. She keeps dropping at age on you. Hey,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: you're gonna quit telling me, you know, like I'm just
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: decrepit or somewhere. Wow. Yeah, man, the closing remarks, I
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: don't want to. I just you know, I need a break. Yeah,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: sometimes you do. This is this is a lot, everybody.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: Because I was talking today and my wife said, Steve,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna be getting ready to go
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: on vacation right now. I said, I can't. She said, why,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: I said, because it's it's a crisis going on, and
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: we got a radio show, I said, and I just
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: have an obligation to talk my listeners through it with
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: information and inspiration and comedy, you know, because I think
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: if they didn't have our voice. And I'm not putting
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: so much importance on what we do, but our voice
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: is important to a lot of people, you know. Yeah,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: it's like families, people that count on us to give
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: them something. And so I told, I said, I probably
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: won't be taking a vacation like that this year because
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: of other virus or because of the obligation. But you know,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: it's it's kind of heavy on all of us, you know,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: And I think, yeah, I just feel for so many
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: people because you know, look, we're working from home. At
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: least we have a job. There are people man whose
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: companies are closed and that's it. It's people who are
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: waitress in bar backs and and and and bus boys
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: and valets and hostesses and working companies. And got clean
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: up services that go to office builders and provide a
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: cleaning services where all the offices is closed, so the
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: cleaning services is down. You got people daycare centers that's
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: gone it's restaurants that will not recover from this, because
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: if you're a small restaurant owner X amount of people
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: come in, you got value food restore. Those people are struggling. Man,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: it's a lot going on. I don't want us to
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: look at what's happening in this White House and get
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: it confused during election time. Look, I got that people
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: want to go back to work. And like I said
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: the other day, if I was in that position where
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: I had to choose risking my safety of going back
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: to work and going back to work to provide for
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: my family, I might have to face that decision and
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: go back to work and put my mask on my
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: gloves and be prayed up and you know, and go
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: to it. But I would do it. And I understand
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: where people are coming from, and I understand the need
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: to get the economy back rolling so people can go
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: back to work, because unemployment don't pay the same as
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: your check for the average person. It just does it,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: And so I understand it. So with all of that
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: being said, it's a challenging time. But man, oh man,
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: as heavy as I feel with it sometimes and as
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: bad as I think it is, it's a lot of
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: people not doing as well as you are. Can I
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: say something, Steve, Yeah, you know as much as we
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: You know, we're on the radio. We have fun, and
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: like you say, you give information. But this is this
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: is to a lot of people, this is the one
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: thing that's there every day. Well, you know, they get
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: up in the morning, maybe they can't go to work,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: but they say, well, I can listen to the Steve
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: Harvey Show. I'm gonna get lets some lads, I'm gonna
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: get some knowledge. So it's very important that we take
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: what we do very serious, and we do, we really do.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: That's why I know what people are going through. We
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: know that people are hurting. And you know, we do
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: this radio show. We don't know how many people we
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: touched because we don't see you guys. We don't see
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: you guys at all, and we know you're listening. And
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: just know that we feel your pain too. Because everybody
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: knows ten people that ain't working, and those ten people,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: no ten people, and those ten people who know ten people,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: and so on and so on and so on. So
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: forget what this guy in the White House is saying.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: People are dying, people are not working, and people are
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: in bad shape. Because they can't pay their bills and
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: they want to work. They want to They don't want
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: that little check. They want to work. They want to
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: get out and work, and they were working. They could
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: go back to work. In that choice, I'm gonna die
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: or I stay at home. I don't know. I might
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: have to make it. I wouldn't make it because you know,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: going to work gives a person a sense of value. Yea.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: The average person that I know doesn't want to hand out.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: They want to work. They want to feel value. You know.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: Men want to come in and and they family go,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: hey daddy, and like he come in, like he saved
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: the day. Women want to come home, hey mommy, and
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: mommy been out there making money, like she's saving the day.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: Don't nobody want to be sitting here waiting on no
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: mail man to come with a check that ain't gonna
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: that that's not gonna cover this stuff, right? You know,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: you know your job might have been checked the check,
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: but you knew at least you could cover some things
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: that unemployment check don't cover enough. Dog. Yeah, man, So
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: y'all keep y'all head up. Man. I know it's tough,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: it's challenging, but prayer works I'm just telling you it works. Man.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: If you haven't done it, tried it, I'm telling you
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: it provides you with a level of comfort and confidence
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: that you may need in a time like this. That's
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: just a suggestions anxiety. Well, those are my closing remarks.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: That's it. I would say, have a great weekend, but
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: have a great weekend which would be just like Saturday.
