- 2:01Speaker 8: Uh huh, I shure, well a good morning everybody. You're
- 2:05Speaker 8: listening to the voice. Come on digny now, one and
- 2:09Speaker 8: only Steve Harley got a radio show. I want to
- 2:12Speaker 8: share something with you this moment.
- 2:15Speaker 7: In order for God to bless you, you have to
- 2:21Speaker 7: you have to have something you know and and and
- 2:25Speaker 7: that means I guess, I guess what I'm saying is
- 2:28Speaker 7: God can only bless you by your faith and your effort.
- 2:32Speaker 7: It's the only way He can bless you by your
- 2:35Speaker 7: faith and your effort. Now, because of his grace, he
- 2:41Speaker 7: gives us so many things that we don't even we
- 2:44Speaker 7: don't ask for, we don't thank him for, you know,
- 2:48Speaker 7: we don't even have on the list.
- 2:50Speaker 1: You know.
- 2:50Speaker 7: Oftentimes, you know, many of us have health, we never
- 2:54Speaker 7: thank him for We get another opportunity to wake up
- 2:56Speaker 7: the next day, we never thank him for it. We
- 2:58Speaker 7: take so many all things because of his grace, we
- 3:02Speaker 7: just take for granted, like it's just supposed to pop
- 3:05Speaker 7: off for us, just like that. Okay, including that, what
- 3:12Speaker 7: all this wonderful things he does us? And he blesses
- 3:14Speaker 7: us even far beyond our wildest dreams. I'm talking by
- 3:18Speaker 7: myself now us and a lot of you listening, without
- 3:23Speaker 7: us confiding or conferring in him. He still watches over us,
- 3:27Speaker 7: watches over us. I'm talking to all of us. Here
- 3:31Speaker 7: is what you get blessed on through your faith and
- 3:35Speaker 7: your efforts. I mean, he really gives you, give him
- 3:39Speaker 7: something to work with. This what I'm saying, He's gonna
- 3:42Speaker 7: do certain things for us automatically because he just loves us.
- 3:47Speaker 7: He automatically does things for us that we take so
- 3:51Speaker 7: for granted that a lot of people are not experiencing because.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Their time is up or whatever. I don't know the.
- 3:56Speaker 7: Reason, but whatever the case, but he does so many
- 3:59Speaker 7: things for us automatic. Imagine what could happen to you
- 4:03Speaker 7: if you just gave him a little bit to work with.
- 4:06Speaker 7: Ever thought about that suppose this idea that's been burning
- 4:11Speaker 7: on the inside of you, suppose you just started it
- 4:15Speaker 7: today and don't wait to start an idea so you
- 4:19Speaker 7: can figure it all the way through, because you'll never
- 4:21Speaker 7: get started.
- 4:23Speaker 3: You know.
- 4:24Speaker 7: It cripples so many people because they think of how
- 4:26Speaker 7: to start their business. Then they look all the way
- 4:29Speaker 7: down the road and the loans they gonna need, and
- 4:32Speaker 7: they don't know nobody, and they care they bad, and
- 4:34Speaker 7: so they stopped.
- 4:35Speaker 1: They never started.
- 4:37Speaker 7: What would happen had you ever thought if you just
- 4:39Speaker 7: started do the part of the business that you could do,
- 4:43Speaker 7: and ask God to lead you and guide you to
- 4:45Speaker 7: the next step, that that thing called faith, the belief
- 4:47Speaker 7: in things that you cannot see. Suppose you just started
- 4:51Speaker 7: out on faith, You just stepped out the water, stepped
- 4:55Speaker 7: out the boat and stood on the water, just on faith,
- 4:58Speaker 7: seeing that as well, but just believing that He would
- 5:02Speaker 7: take care of you, just believing that He would get
- 5:04Speaker 7: you through through, just believing that He would lead you
- 5:07Speaker 7: to the next step.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Start.
- 5:10Speaker 7: If you just started now, you would then give God
- 5:14Speaker 7: something to put his finger on and to bless. People
- 5:17Speaker 7: say to me, all the time, man, man Steve, it
- 5:20Speaker 7: seemed like everything you do work.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Man, do you know what it is?
- 5:24Speaker 8: Really?
- 5:26Speaker 1: I just lose the fear of failing and I start
- 5:30Speaker 1: I don't know how to do all of this.
- 5:33Speaker 7: Come on, man, if I could have told you ten
- 5:36Speaker 7: years ago or there's no way I could have told you,
- 5:39Speaker 7: I'd be why i'm today.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But if anyone had come to me and.
- 5:42Speaker 7: Said, Steve, in ten years you will be doing this, that, this,
- 5:47Speaker 7: that and the other, they will recognize you here. You
- 5:50Speaker 7: will get this recognizable recognition, you'll get this award, and
- 5:53Speaker 7: you'll be living like this.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I'd have just looked at them like they was crazy.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I really would have.
- 5:58Speaker 9: Man.
- 5:58Speaker 7: It's not that I didn't have the faith. It's just
- 6:01Speaker 7: that in my imagination I didn't see it. I've always
- 6:06Speaker 7: believed in God, I just didn't see things for myself. See,
- 6:10Speaker 7: I didn't open myself up to what God had for me.
- 6:14Speaker 7: I was just living my life based on what I
- 6:17Speaker 7: could see for me. When I stopped worried about what
- 6:21Speaker 7: I could see for me and started allowing God to
- 6:24Speaker 7: do what he could do for me, it changed my
- 6:26Speaker 7: whole existence because I found out that God's plan was
- 6:30Speaker 7: way better than mine. But you got to start something.
- 6:35Speaker 7: You got to give God something to put his finger
- 6:37Speaker 7: on that might's touched where it turned into something. You
- 6:42Speaker 7: got to let your imagination go. You got to let
- 6:45Speaker 7: your imagination fly as wild as it can fly without
- 6:48Speaker 7: being constricted by the confines of where you live and
- 6:52Speaker 7: what color you are, and what sex you are, and
- 6:54Speaker 7: how much money you make and what your degree say.
- 6:58Speaker 7: You got to let your imagination fly beyond that. You
- 7:01Speaker 7: got to go for it. You got to step out
- 7:04Speaker 7: on faith and you got to go for it. Oh
- 7:06Speaker 7: and did I mention you got to pray? Don't want
- 7:09Speaker 7: to lead that out? Then you got to seek understanding. Man,
- 7:14Speaker 7: read Proverbs. Proverbs is a great book to start with out.
- 7:19Speaker 7: You know, I guess other people got other worse I'm
- 7:21Speaker 7: just telling you about me. Man, this is probably some
- 7:23Speaker 7: better places to start.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:24Speaker 7: Proverbs was to start for me, the book of wisdom
- 7:28Speaker 7: and understanding that helped develop my thought process, which helped
- 7:32Speaker 7: me become fairly successful. Proverbs teaches you everything you need
- 7:37Speaker 7: to know. And if you can't read the King James version,
- 7:40Speaker 7: get you one of them translated Bibles. What difference it
- 7:43Speaker 7: makes long as you hear what he's saying to you. Oh,
- 7:46Speaker 7: and did I mention? Don't forget to pray and then
- 7:50Speaker 7: take the idea, the business, the journey you want to
- 7:55Speaker 7: embark on and break it down inch by inch anythings
- 7:59Speaker 7: and sich just start with the peace that you can do.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Okay, you don't know how you go get the loan?
- 8:04Speaker 1: When it's time for the loan? What part can you?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Can you design the business card?
- 8:08Speaker 3: Can you?
- 8:09Speaker 7: Can you make a YouTube video and post it? Can
- 8:12Speaker 7: you start telling people that you're associated with this is
- 8:15Speaker 7: what you do now? You could start somewhere. You can
- 8:17Speaker 7: get a gig somewhere doing something. Somebody will pay you
- 8:21Speaker 7: for the service right now, and then simplify it, take
- 8:26Speaker 7: it and break it down to the lowest common denominator.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Qut trying to figure it all out? Simplify it? What
- 8:31Speaker 1: can I do now? I can't figure this out. It's
- 8:34Speaker 1: too complex, it's too difficult, there's too many levels. Quit
- 8:37Speaker 1: tripping on that.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Do the part you can do, but start, man, Just
- 8:43Speaker 7: get started today. Stop delaying it. Every time you put
- 8:46Speaker 7: it off, you seen further away from it, don't you.
- 8:49Speaker 7: Why won't you start? Let your imagination go open it up?
- 8:55Speaker 7: You know, if you can't imagine, God show can Einstein
- 8:59Speaker 7: said it one time, he said that imagination is everything.
- 9:03Speaker 7: It's the preview to life's coming attractions. Is that crazy?
- 9:08Speaker 7: Is that crazy? Do you know that everything we do
- 9:11Speaker 7: somebody imagined it? But do you know when they imagine
- 9:14Speaker 7: if somebody laughed at them? Man, I'm gonna make a
- 9:16Speaker 7: car that you can sit on it and will automatically drive,
- 9:19Speaker 7: and the wheels a roll. Who gonna do that? Okay,
- 9:22Speaker 7: here we go. We all ride in cars. Man, I'm
- 9:25Speaker 7: gonna fly. I'm gonna make something that will take people
- 9:28Speaker 7: far away in the air. People board flights every day.
- 9:33Speaker 6: Man.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Somebody sat up there and looked at that moon and said, man,
- 9:36Speaker 7: one day, I'm going to the moon. He talking about
- 9:39Speaker 7: going to the moon. They take people to the moon
- 9:41Speaker 7: all the time. Imagination is everything. It's the preview to
- 9:45Speaker 7: life's coming attractions. Or are you imagining for yourself? What
- 9:50Speaker 7: do you see coming? What's your coming attractions? I'm so
- 9:53Speaker 7: grateful I change mine. Oh I see being because I
- 9:56Speaker 7: see God. Come on, y'all.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And gentlemen, we're back again. All thanks to God Almighty.
- 10:04Speaker 7: Just to be back again, that deserves a rondem applause
- 10:08Speaker 7: for God Almighty.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I'm talking about, man, how good is God?
- 10:12Speaker 9: Really?
- 10:13Speaker 1: Really? A amazing Thank you, Dave Roda applause. That's for God, everybody.
- 10:19Speaker 7: Steve Harby Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry is off today, Carlin
- 10:23Speaker 7: Farrell Mississippi Monica Junior is off today, and the legend
- 10:28Speaker 7: that is nephew Tommy.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Well, Shirley's off, best voice.
- 10:34Speaker 7: In all the radio is gone. Junior is off today also,
- 10:38Speaker 7: and so now we're here. Normally I would say, Junior,
- 10:42Speaker 7: what's on your mind today? But Lord, man, I ain't
- 10:45Speaker 7: asking him that today, because Lord, that would be that
- 10:49Speaker 7: would be down a pathway, slipping into.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Dog may.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Anyway out today? Man? Old school had a song for everything. Yes,
- 11:05Speaker 1: wha slipping into darkness? That was war?
- 11:14Speaker 10: Yes, yes, what if your nephew have?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Don't just say if your nephews well, okay, here we go.
- 11:21Speaker 9: Question.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I mean, Tommy, you got anything on your mind today?
- 11:26Speaker 9: I do.
- 11:30Speaker 1: It ain't it ain't gonna hurt you.
- 11:31Speaker 11: You know, family, family and and and families as falling out,
- 11:37Speaker 11: don't get in it, don't get back together. The tension
- 11:39Speaker 11: that that it, that it creates whenever we do come
- 11:42Speaker 11: around each other. How do you handle family fall outs man,
- 11:45Speaker 11: How do you fix them?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Do you do?
- 11:48Speaker 1: You do?
- 11:48Speaker 6: You do?
- 11:49Speaker 11: You jump in and try to fix it, because now
- 11:52Speaker 11: it's gotten to the point where we got we got
- 11:54Speaker 11: let's just say we got we got some relatives, my
- 11:57Speaker 11: wife got some relatives. Ain't spoke in six months, and
- 12:02Speaker 11: it's it's getting stronger and stronger and strong.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Don't have them at your house. That's your advice.
- 12:13Speaker 7: Tell you right now, do not have them at your house, okay,
- 12:19Speaker 7: and and and tell me why, because you can't put
- 12:22Speaker 7: him out. It's hard to put people out. There's arguing,
- 12:29Speaker 7: you know, because it's if the women in there they
- 12:31Speaker 7: trying to fix it all this he is, So don't
- 12:34Speaker 7: have them at your house.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Now.
- 12:35Speaker 7: What you could do is separate them, invite the better
- 12:41Speaker 7: half of the family that's involved in the dispute, so
- 12:44Speaker 7: you could try to uh narrate and negotiate what do
- 12:48Speaker 7: they call it?
- 12:49Speaker 1: Mediate?
- 12:51Speaker 7: But you don't want to have them both there and
- 12:54Speaker 7: and they know they both coming, or they don't know
- 12:57Speaker 7: one of them is coming.
- 12:58Speaker 1: That's not what you need. So just have one side
- 13:01Speaker 1: of the family come.
- 13:03Speaker 7: That's the cooler side and the one that you all
- 13:07Speaker 7: have decided that has the right way, because most.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Families know who's the right way. Yeah exactly.
- 13:13Speaker 7: Yeah, So you know they wrong for that because once
- 13:16Speaker 7: I'm gona tell you something, Man, when people get together
- 13:19Speaker 7: and they will create a narrative amongst themselves that makes
- 13:23Speaker 7: themselves one hundred correct yep, because they ain't talking to
- 13:27Speaker 7: nobody but their self, yep.
- 13:30Speaker 10: Dropping that knowledge.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Family beef early this morning, Okay, coming up at thirty
- 13:35Speaker 3: two minutes after the hour, the nephew is back.
- 13:38Speaker 1: He's gonna run that prank back right after that. Ye

- 14:18Speaker 10: What your got nephew.
- 14:20Speaker 11: We down there with them. Praise dancer. Y'all, y'all get
- 14:23Speaker 11: on one accord. Okay, I just can't take me.
- 14:26Speaker 1: They are one accord at church. I think it's a limit.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I think it's a limit caller. We'll praise.
- 14:32Speaker 11: I think praise dancing man about thirty. I think we
- 14:36Speaker 11: are the you know, an age limit to praise. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 11: you need to find a new ministry after you just
- 14:41Speaker 11: you can't. You know, it's a limit on praise. Then
- 14:44Speaker 11: after thirty say okay, I'm gonna give you thirty five
- 14:46Speaker 11: after that. But when I see a fart of some
- 14:49Speaker 11: of your old praise dances, it's that's yeah.
- 14:52Speaker 10: Y'all tell people what age to be the serve on
- 14:55Speaker 10: the ministry you got.
- 14:58Speaker 1: At some point you have to move on to the
- 14:59Speaker 1: usher bowl. You know what I'm saying.
- 15:01Speaker 9: You have to.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And await limit and praise dancers. Let's go cat don.
- 15:09Speaker 6: Hello, this is the day that the Lord has made.
- 15:11Speaker 6: Let us rejoice and be glad. And how you doing?
- 15:13Speaker 6: I'm looking for uh Stania?
- 15:16Speaker 9: This is Tania.
- 15:18Speaker 6: This is brother Puller from the church.
- 15:19Speaker 9: How are you?
- 15:20Speaker 4: Oh, I'm with my brother, so how are you?
- 15:22Speaker 6: I'm good I'm good. We wanted to give you a
- 15:26Speaker 6: call about the about the praise dancing that's at the church.
- 15:28Speaker 6: First of all, I wanted to really show you how
- 15:30Speaker 6: much you're doing a great job over there with the
- 15:33Speaker 6: praise dancers and you you definitely do a great job
- 15:35Speaker 6: on happy third, tell you that you guys actually perform.
- 15:38Speaker 6: Everybody seemed to really like it.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Well, thank you, thank you.
- 15:41Speaker 6: What can I do for you today? There is a
- 15:42Speaker 6: bit of a situation with you know, it's been brought
- 15:45Speaker 6: to our attention. We actually had a small gathering, a
- 15:47Speaker 6: little meeting about it and wanted to I've been elected
- 15:50Speaker 6: to actually give you a call. Who I'm sorry, who
- 15:54Speaker 6: are you kids? Brother Puller, uh huh and and who
- 15:58Speaker 6: had a meeting uh some of the brothers at the
- 16:01Speaker 6: church and uh path to actually sat in for a
- 16:03Speaker 6: moment on it. And I was actually elected to actually
- 16:06Speaker 6: just give you a call. Nothing that I don't think
- 16:09Speaker 6: we can't get rectified and and you know, move on
- 16:12Speaker 6: smoothly as.
- 16:13Speaker 9: We normally do.
- 16:13Speaker 6: But I just think it's we wanted to reach out
- 16:15Speaker 6: to you and kind of make you aware of it.
- 16:17Speaker 6: If it's if you don't mind, okay, and what things
- 16:21Speaker 6: are those well, sis Antonia? Has any of the praise
- 16:27Speaker 6: dancers before they became praise dancers?
- 16:30Speaker 9: Was? Was?
- 16:32Speaker 6: Was any of them strippers?
- 16:35Speaker 9: I beg your pardon?
- 16:36Speaker 6: Was any of the praise dancers that at the church
- 16:40Speaker 6: that you have on the praise team right now? Was
- 16:43Speaker 6: any of them strippers in the past?
- 16:45Speaker 4: I'm sorry, sir, I don't I don't really know who
- 16:47Speaker 4: you are, and I don't really understand this line of questions.
- 16:51Speaker 6: Like I said, I'm brother full I don't think we've met.
- 16:53Speaker 6: But uh, like I said, I've been elected to give
- 16:55Speaker 6: you a call.
- 16:56Speaker 7: Not now.
- 16:57Speaker 6: It seems what happened is this past week when you
- 17:00Speaker 6: all actually danced, it seemed like a couple of the
- 17:03Speaker 6: girls was actually GI raiding during the praise routine.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Say what girating, brother Phillip. I don't know who you are,
- 17:10Speaker 4: and I don't know what you saw. None of my
- 17:13Speaker 4: girls with GI rating, they would.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Dancing for the Lord.
- 17:16Speaker 4: And I think if you look through your lord's eye,
- 17:19Speaker 4: perhaps you would see them better instead of maybe you
- 17:21Speaker 4: were looking through the GI rating eye. No, see a
- 17:24Speaker 4: couple of the girl we.
- 17:25Speaker 6: Can pull them out. A couple of them half stript
- 17:28Speaker 6: girl tendencies up and then because some of them have been.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Trimp girl's tendencies. You know what, sir, I think we
- 17:35Speaker 4: need to complete this call. Perhaps I need to call
- 17:38Speaker 4: Bishop and speak to him myself, because you know, I
- 17:40Speaker 4: don't know what you do all day, but I have
- 17:42Speaker 4: a real job, and I'm sitting here holding a conversation
- 17:44Speaker 4: in my office about Ji rating strippers in the church.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Are you kidding me? Well, listen, now here's a couple
- 17:50Speaker 6: of other things that they're talking about. Some of the
- 17:52Speaker 6: girls seat or real ask you when you all are
- 17:55Speaker 6: performing and they wanted to see it. Maybe you can,
- 17:58Speaker 6: you can.
- 17:58Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Maybe I don't know if y'all need to grip or
- 18:01Speaker 6: whatever that y'all don't. Y'all don't put lotion on. We're
- 18:03Speaker 6: not sure what that is. As well as the totnail pology,
- 18:08Speaker 6: everybody has three, four, five different designs and everything is it? Anyway,
- 18:12Speaker 6: y'all can be in unison with your totnail pology. But
- 18:15Speaker 6: the most important thing hell the jib rating doing the
- 18:19Speaker 6: dance routine. I don't know what your feet look like.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I don't need you calling me talking to me about
- 18:24Speaker 4: my girls their feet, their nail pology. Perhaps your man
- 18:27Speaker 4: should be on Jesus instead of on them.

- 22:51Speaker 3: She says, I'm moving in with my older sister and
- 22:54Speaker 3: she hates my boyfriend. I don't say anything about who
- 22:58Speaker 3: she dates, but as the big sister, she judges everything
- 23:02Speaker 3: I do. I am thirty one years old. So should
- 23:06Speaker 3: I have to sneak around her or should I stand
- 23:08Speaker 3: up to her?
- 23:10Speaker 1: Well, you ain't got to do either one. But let
- 23:11Speaker 1: me tell you what. He can't come over there though
- 23:13Speaker 1: her house, right yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- 23:18Speaker 1: yeah yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 7: You ain't got to sneak around, but he can't come
- 23:21Speaker 7: over there, and you can't expect her to allow him
- 23:24Speaker 7: in the house.
- 23:25Speaker 1: If you know she don't like her.
- 23:27Speaker 7: You can't bring him to her house. That's rule number one.
- 23:32Speaker 7: Now you ain't got to sneak around. Because you're thirty one.
- 23:35Speaker 7: You can openly date the guy. But hopefully he got
- 23:38Speaker 7: a house, cause he can't come over there. When he
- 23:41Speaker 7: come to pick you up, he can call you and
- 23:44Speaker 7: let you know he outside. He can come and meet
- 23:46Speaker 7: you at the door and walk you to the car
- 23:47Speaker 7: and open your car door and put you in and
- 23:50Speaker 7: shut the door and drive off. And when you get
- 23:53Speaker 7: back from the date, he can get out the car,
- 23:55Speaker 7: open your door, walk you back up to the house.
- 23:58Speaker 1: He can't come in. Big sisters not like him. No, No,
- 24:03Speaker 1: that's how I don't let nobody in my house. I
- 24:06Speaker 1: don't like no bad all. I don't care who you are.
- 24:11Speaker 3: All right, all right, moving on to there you go, Trinity,
- 24:14Speaker 3: Moving on to Melissa and Jacksonville dou ball.
- 24:19Speaker 1: All yup.
- 24:20Speaker 3: My son's tutor told me that she won't be able
- 24:23Speaker 3: to come to our house anymore because my husband makes
- 24:27Speaker 3: her uncomfortable. She's almost sixty, so I doubt my husband
- 24:32Speaker 3: came on to her. He laughed and denied it. Should
- 24:36Speaker 3: I take her seriously?
- 24:38Speaker 1: She foined them. That's all. That's a fine sixty dough
- 24:40Speaker 1: let me tell you that right now.
- 24:45Speaker 10: She shut up something.
- 24:50Speaker 1: It a ma'am, and she's smart. I know a rithmetic that's.
- 24:57Speaker 3: What he laughed at off and deny it and deny it.
- 25:03Speaker 3: This is what Melissa and Jacksonville said.
- 25:05Speaker 7: Well what he got to deny it? That that's obvious.
- 25:09Speaker 7: But right what is it that the woman is saying?
- 25:12Speaker 7: She made the feel is he staring at her?
- 25:16Speaker 6: You know?
- 25:16Speaker 10: No specific in this from Melissa.
- 25:20Speaker 3: My son's tutor told me that she won't be able
- 25:21Speaker 3: to come to our house anymore because my husband makes
- 25:24Speaker 3: her uncomfortable.
- 25:25Speaker 1: She didn't say what exactly he is doing. Well, well,
- 25:29Speaker 1: she not coming to the house no more.
- 25:31Speaker 7: Now if you're not gonna find out what's making her uncomfortable,
- 25:36Speaker 7: then your question was should I take her seriously? Well, yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 7: you have to take her seriously because we're in a
- 25:44Speaker 7: culture now where anything can turn into a lawsuit, So
- 25:48Speaker 7: you have to take her seriously. But I think to
- 25:51Speaker 7: keep your family together and to keep everybody safe, just
- 25:55Speaker 7: get another tutor. Yeah, yeah, because if the woman is lying,
- 26:00Speaker 7: you don't need up around your family no more. And
- 26:02Speaker 7: if she telling the truth, yeah, you don't need up
- 26:06Speaker 7: around the family no more.
- 26:09Speaker 1: So the boy gonna flunk for a minute. Basic, Yeah,
- 26:11Speaker 1: he'd be all right, though, I got a lot of else,
- 26:14Speaker 1: I got a lot of made look at you now? Yeah?
- 26:18Speaker 1: Everything where about? Else said? He gives them else he coupled.
- 26:26Speaker 1: How old is the boy here? A tutor?
- 26:28Speaker 3: Well he needs a tutor? Yeah, you know, so, hey,
- 26:33Speaker 3: he'd be all right. Maybe you find another place to tutor, like,
- 26:37Speaker 3: I don't know, library or.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Something like that. Anyway, moving on Rico and Trenton, New
- 26:42Speaker 1: jer Zy.
- 26:42Speaker 3: My wife and I heard our fourteen year old daughter
- 26:45Speaker 3: on the phone cursing out a boy that rubbed her
- 26:49Speaker 3: butt at school. I think my daughter gets a pass
- 26:53Speaker 3: for how she handles the situation, but my wife wants
- 26:56Speaker 3: to punish her.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Should she be punished or praised? Punish her?
- 27:02Speaker 7: Hey, tell me who the little boy is, right, so
- 27:08Speaker 7: I can go up to the school and talk to
- 27:11Speaker 7: his daddy. Yeah, see, that's all that is. You know
- 27:16Speaker 7: what you want to punish her for? Cause let me
- 27:20Speaker 7: tell you something your kids is cussing when you ain't around.
- 27:23Speaker 7: Is was at mcgradson's basketball game. Uh huh uh BJ

- 27:42Speaker 7: They look like NBA rings, you know they have they
- 27:46Speaker 7: fake diamonds, of course, but they real heavy. They got
- 27:48Speaker 7: weight on them like a real wing. I was going
- 27:51Speaker 7: and here in third grade we won the elementary school championship.
- 27:55Speaker 7: When I was in sixth grade, I got a patch.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Anyway back to iron on patch.
- 28:06Speaker 7: So anyway, that's in the seventies. Dog dogs that was
- 28:10Speaker 7: in his sixties. Seventies.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Come on, help Rico. Should they punish the girl or no?
- 28:20Speaker 7: I don't think you should punish the girl. But I
- 28:22Speaker 7: think you all need to realize your kids are talking
- 28:24Speaker 7: a little bit different. I had his basketball team down
- 28:28Speaker 7: at the ranch for his birthday, and boy, I drove
- 28:31Speaker 7: up and they didn't know I was there. Boy, they
- 28:35Speaker 7: was out there letting him fly ifew little And you

- 28:44Speaker 7: h you sent up in there? Tell me you better
- 28:46Speaker 7: get out of my l faith. You don't know who
- 28:49Speaker 7: you mess with. You're about to beat something up in here,
- 28:51Speaker 7: I'm going all right. I was impressed. I was, you
- 28:56Speaker 7: will be you know, you know you're not walked in
- 28:57Speaker 7: and tried to be his grandparent.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Hey watch your language. Language.
- 29:04Speaker 7: But then as soon as I got their attention, I said, nah,
- 29:06Speaker 7: good all you little molse get over there on.
- 29:08Speaker 1: That other side.
- 29:11Speaker 7: Stupid, you're all out here. Oh my god, my daughter,
- 29:17Speaker 7: Hey man, my daughter, Carly said, she.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Said, Dad, so embarrassed. Daddy? All right, So rego and Trenton.
- 29:25Speaker 1: You know, y'all shouldn't punish the girl, all right, moving
- 29:28Speaker 1: the girl. She probably caught it like her mama, cuss, mama,
- 29:32Speaker 1: do it?
- 29:33Speaker 3: Uh? All right, let's move on. Last one, Kelvin and Philly.
- 29:37Speaker 3: I kept my kids this past weekend, and my ex
- 29:39Speaker 3: wife went to Ohio with her new husband for his
- 29:42Speaker 3: ten year old daughter's birthday party. My kids are eight
- 29:46Speaker 3: and eleven, and they're wondering why they weren't invited. Is
- 29:51Speaker 3: it my place to talk to my ex wife about this? No,
- 29:54Speaker 3: the ex he kept his kids.
- 29:56Speaker 7: And then you know, yeah, yeah they may not. Y'all
- 30:00Speaker 7: them to them kids may not get in there. Y'all
- 30:02Speaker 7: ain't a blended.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Family, So you don't think he should talk about.
- 30:07Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, you're not a blended family. If what of
- 30:09Speaker 7: y'all would have to be date have to be living together?
- 30:12Speaker 1: This doesn't matter. You ain't going to the parky Okay, never,
- 30:16Speaker 1: you ain't going to the war next year?
- 30:18Speaker 3: Okay, coming up talking to y'all. Entertainment's gold, that's gold.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Look you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. So according to
- 30:33Speaker 3: Yahoo dot com, stephen A. Smith has clapped back at
- 30:36Speaker 3: former First Lady Out Forever First Lady Michelle Obama after
- 30:41Speaker 3: she mentioned him on her podcast last week. She said,
- 30:45Speaker 3: in part quote, if I listened to ESPN for an hour,
- 30:49Speaker 3: it's like watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
- 30:52Speaker 10: You know, it's the same drama. They're yelling at each other.
- 30:56Speaker 6: You know.
- 30:57Speaker 10: She went on about that. So then stephen A. Meth responded,
- 31:01Speaker 10: take a listen to his response in.
- 31:03Speaker 12: Part, I adore and love practically everything about you and
- 31:08Speaker 12: who you are and what you represent, what you mean
- 31:10Speaker 12: to this country, what you mean that so many young
- 31:13Speaker 12: ladies in this world. What an incredibly motivational and inspirational
- 31:18Speaker 12: figure you are. And I feel even more adamant about
- 31:22Speaker 12: what your husband, Barack Obama said when he talked to
- 31:25Speaker 12: those men in Pittsburgh and implied that to not vote
- 31:29Speaker 12: for Kamala is because we're engaging in some sort of misogyny.
- 31:34Speaker 12: There are issues that matter to every American citizen, and
- 31:37Speaker 12: it sort of blackmail us emotionally into trying to compel
- 31:41Speaker 12: us to vote one way or another.
- 31:43Speaker 1: It's part of what won Trump the election.
- 31:47Speaker 3: So that was part of stephen A's response. It was lengthy,
- 31:50Speaker 3: but that was part of it. So what do you
- 31:52Speaker 3: guys think?
- 31:53Speaker 10: I just I don't know.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 31:56Speaker 11: I don't think everything needs to have a response to it.
- 31:59Speaker 11: I don't think you are always got to say something.
- 32:01Speaker 1: He could have just let that go, yeah, because it
- 32:03Speaker 1: wasn't nothing.
- 32:04Speaker 7: Everything don't but but his I don't know, he must
- 32:07Speaker 7: add some something else to say because that wasn't connected
- 32:10Speaker 7: to what she said at all at all.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Well he and he said he respectfully disagreed with I
- 32:17Speaker 3: guess her opinion about the show first take, or.
- 32:21Speaker 7: Well, you can't disagree with the person's opinion. Listen to me, man,
- 32:26Speaker 7: My wife don't like the show.
- 32:28Speaker 10: She don't like all that Holland Yeah, it's a lot
- 32:30Speaker 10: of Holland on.
- 32:32Speaker 3: She don't like all that Holland it's like Michelle Obama
- 32:35Speaker 3: is correct, it's a lot of yelling.
- 32:37Speaker 7: Brouh and it's a lot of women go why he's
- 32:39Speaker 7: so angry, Why his rains in his forehead? Why it's
- 32:42Speaker 7: just sports about sports? Yeah, you ain't in there interview
- 32:47Speaker 7: in Laziskian hoton. So you know, sometimes man, you you
- 32:53Speaker 7: just don't have to comment on everything. Yeah, how much
- 32:57Speaker 7: you love her and respect her? And what Barack Obama
- 32:59Speaker 7: did with the men in Pennsylvania and how what that
- 33:02Speaker 7: got to a All she said was watching Sports Center sometimes,
- 33:09Speaker 7: like watching the Real Housewives of Atleanta.
- 33:12Speaker 3: It's just drama and yelling, right, And she did say
- 33:16Speaker 3: Stephen A Smith. She did mention his name.
- 33:18Speaker 7: Well, that's who be hollering. She ain't wrong, she is
- 33:24Speaker 7: not dog. Sometime I don't call my boy because I
- 33:27Speaker 7: don't feel like that. Sometime we be talking, i'd be gonna, hey, man,
- 33:30Speaker 7: bag it down a little bit. I've done first take.
- 33:33Speaker 7: And you know what I said that Stephen At one
- 33:36Speaker 7: time he was just talking. I said, hey man, hey,
- 33:42Speaker 7: this first take, this ain't just your take, right, Remember that.
- 33:46Speaker 7: I remember that I said that to him. Man, you
- 33:48Speaker 7: just be talking like you just the voice of it.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So he felt the need to respond
- 33:55Speaker 3: to that. I just I'm with you, guys, you could
- 33:57Speaker 3: have left that alone.
- 33:58Speaker 1: That was that big of it.
- 34:01Speaker 7: Just relax you acting like Trump now upset? He comment
- 34:07Speaker 7: on everything.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Yes he does. Yes'.
- 34:11Speaker 7: He mad at Bruce Springsteen. He's a low talent guy.
- 34:14Speaker 7: Bruce Springsteen.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Bruce Springsteen, he met dogs, one of the biggest, the Boss,
- 34:21Speaker 1: the Boss.
- 34:25Speaker 5: He's the.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Bro, he said, low talent guy. I went, wow, the
- 34:32Speaker 1: Boss Bruce Springsteen. Wow.
- 34:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 34:35Speaker 10: He's also mad at our radio brother, Charlemagne.
- 34:38Speaker 1: He went in on him.
- 34:39Speaker 10: So all right, let's switch gears and other entertainment news.
- 34:43Speaker 3: A glittered rhinestone sock that Michael Jackson ward during his
- 34:47Speaker 3: performance of Billy Jean back in nineteen ninety seven recently
- 34:51Speaker 3: sold for about eighty nine hundred dollars at a French auction. Now,
- 34:55Speaker 3: according to The New York Post, how we know that's
- 34:58Speaker 3: the sock?
- 34:58Speaker 10: How we listened? This is what the New York Post
- 35:01Speaker 10: is reporting.
- 35:01Speaker 3: The white and studded sock with crystal ringstones was discovered
- 35:07Speaker 3: by a technician backstage at Michael Jackson. You remember the
- 35:11Speaker 3: History World tour back then so the sock was preserved
- 35:16Speaker 3: in the frame for twenty eight years, and so it
- 35:20Speaker 3: sold for about eighty nine hundred dollars at the auction
- 35:22Speaker 3: of the King of pop Items.
- 35:23Speaker 6: Here.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Yeah, bout that out about it? You'd about the sock? Hell?
- 35:28Speaker 1: Eighty nine hundred? Would you have warned?
- 35:31Speaker 9: No? No, no?
- 35:31Speaker 1: But it is a lie? A hand with it though?
- 35:35Speaker 6: What lie?
- 35:35Speaker 1: What would you have said?
- 35:36Speaker 10: Why you got a live about Michael Jackson's glitters.
- 35:39Speaker 7: I was out of Mike House one night and I
- 35:43Speaker 7: had bought these old hookahs out there for him, okay,
- 35:46Speaker 7: and he had got nked in the back. Oh, and
- 35:49Speaker 7: I found the socks that he had on, because he
- 35:51Speaker 7: had the socks on while he was with the girl.
- 35:53Speaker 7: Then the sock fell off, and that sock fell off,
- 35:55Speaker 7: and I kept it and this it but just the
- 35:58Speaker 7: same sock. Though he wore the Billy Jean video because
- 36:01Speaker 7: she said that's what she came out there for. So
- 36:04Speaker 7: I knew this was it all right. So here's a
- 36:07Speaker 7: question for you, Steve.
- 36:08Speaker 3: This question for Steve, which article of clothing would you
- 36:12Speaker 3: have auction off or would you auction off from your career?
- 36:16Speaker 4: Uh?
- 36:17Speaker 1: I auctioned off.
- 36:18Speaker 7: I had the jockey strap I had on the last
- 36:20Speaker 7: time I dunked the basketball.
- 36:22Speaker 11: Yeah, I thought you would say the yellow soup from
- 36:27Speaker 11: your special, you know that was legendary.
- 36:31Speaker 10: What about the soup from the Kings I got?
- 36:34Speaker 7: I got?
- 36:35Speaker 1: I got the Kings of Comedy suit. Yeah, that I wore.
- 36:38Speaker 7: I got the yellow suit and I got the suit
- 36:40Speaker 7: I wore my first HBO special.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:44Speaker 1: So how much? How much? How much you think you
- 36:46Speaker 1: can get for the King suit? Michael Sock went for
- 36:50Speaker 1: eight nine thiuves Hell, Yeah, that wasn't nothing, but the sock.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I got the whole suit. I probably take it. Yep,
- 36:58Speaker 1: how much? A couple of million? A milion?
- 37:02Speaker 11: About buying no soup and no coming up.

- 38:05Speaker 3: one of the very first super yachts that run on hydrogen.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I didn't even know that was the thing.
- 38:10Speaker 3: The sticker price is six hundred and forty five million dollars.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Ain't a whole lot of bias for that, No, not
- 38:18Speaker 1: at all.

- 38:40Speaker 11: If I'm playing that thirty forty thousand here and just
- 38:43Speaker 11: buy some stuff, but I known i'd try to do it,
- 38:46Speaker 11: and so.
- 38:46Speaker 3: You could spend thirty thousand dollars and your wife not No,

- 39:47Speaker 7: We have we have an account that nobody can touch.
- 39:50Speaker 7: It's a savings account. Wise both of our signatures to
- 39:54Speaker 7: move a single dollar out of it. We have our
- 39:58Speaker 7: household account where we put the money in that covers
- 40:01Speaker 7: all of our light bills, electrical house payments, anything like that.
- 40:06Speaker 7: So so we make sure for and then Marjorie has
- 40:09Speaker 7: her own account and I have my own account. Every
- 40:12Speaker 7: month she gets an allowance, and every month I get
- 40:15Speaker 7: an allowance. Her allowance is more than mine. Wow, because
- 40:19Speaker 7: she spends a different thing. She buy for the grandkids
- 40:23Speaker 7: and all that.

- 40:30Speaker 7: She said, I thought you was just gonna go on
- 40:32Speaker 7: and do it, but I would now because I don't

- 41:03Speaker 1: I went to dinner.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Right, that's it coming up at thirty five after the hour,
- 41:10Speaker 3: we're gonna have some more fun with random questions.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening hard Morning show.
- 41:21Speaker 3: All right, it's time to ask the morning crew some
- 41:24Speaker 3: fun random questions.

- 41:27Speaker 10: you guys ready?
- 41:29Speaker 1: Come on?
- 41:30Speaker 10: What's your most frequent lie?
- 41:33Speaker 11: My most frequent lie? I tell you that if I
- 41:38Speaker 11: just told you, whyout? I just why I tell you
- 41:40Speaker 11: a lie? I just tell her.
- 41:43Speaker 1: If I just told it, it's still in effect right now.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I have one I use all the time. Thank you?
- 41:51Speaker 5: You know?
- 41:52Speaker 7: Okay, For example, if you call my phone, you know
- 41:55Speaker 7: how it comes up, and you had that little message
- 41:58Speaker 7: thing over there that you can customize.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, you can't pick up the phone. You're doing
- 42:02Speaker 1: something or whatever. I just hit that. You know, I
- 42:05Speaker 1: have messages to go out. I'm on the zoom.
- 42:09Speaker 7: I don't be no matter if you get one of them,
- 42:12Speaker 7: all all four of them customizations.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I'm on the zoom. I don't I'm on the zoom.
- 42:21Speaker 7: Text me, I can't talk. I don't recognize the number.
- 42:28Speaker 7: Oh and I got one more. Yeah, but I'm hitting
- 42:33Speaker 7: one of them.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Okay, now my lie like that, Uncles, I'm at my
- 42:37Speaker 1: son gang is too live? Text me? Okay, you don't
- 42:44Speaker 1: want to pick up?
- 42:44Speaker 3: Okay, you guys frequently live about phone calls. I don't
- 42:48Speaker 3: want to talk to people every day every day.
- 42:53Speaker 7: Well, Michael, I'm sorry. Yeah, you're on the zoom talking
- 42:57Speaker 7: about it. That's how I got what something?
- 43:00Speaker 1: Yeah, you send that to us. You're coworkers. Well I'm not.
- 43:04Speaker 1: We're not gonna talk. So what difference do it make?
- 43:06Speaker 7: What I say?
- 43:08Speaker 1: And we need to talk to you moving on? I
- 43:12Speaker 1: just text h when I need to tell him something.
- 43:14Speaker 1: That's it.
- 43:14Speaker 10: That's all you can do because he's not gonna pick.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Up the phone. Nog.
- 43:18Speaker 7: I got stuff I'm doing. I'm like sometimes I'm just thinking.
- 43:24Speaker 1: They care.
- 43:26Speaker 10: All right.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Here's another one.
- 43:27Speaker 3: What's a myth about men? That's one hun untrue and
- 43:34Speaker 3: it makes you mad whenever you hear it.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Once a cheatah, always a Cheatah. That just ticks me off.
- 43:40Speaker 7: Man.
- 43:41Speaker 1: So that's not true. No, that's not true. I don't
- 43:44Speaker 1: know why y'all don't understand this thing about cheating.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Explain it.
- 43:51Speaker 1: First of all, every.
- 43:53Speaker 7: Man has cheated somewhere somewhere down the line before he
- 43:57Speaker 7: met you. Something something, And that's how we learned. Because
- 44:03Speaker 7: you pay for something, you lose something along the way.
- 44:06Speaker 7: You lose trust, you lose a person, you lose companionship, friendship,
- 44:11Speaker 7: and you learn. And but I've said this on the show.
- 44:15Speaker 7: I can't tell you how many times. All men can change,
- 44:19Speaker 7: all men will change. But there's only one woman we
- 44:22Speaker 7: will change for, and when we meet him, we will
- 44:26Speaker 7: give up all all the foolishness. That's the one I
- 44:28Speaker 7: hate that women say.
- 44:30Speaker 1: That's some man.
- 44:33Speaker 10: All right, Okay, Steve, what about your nephew?
- 44:35Speaker 1: You got all men, all men with big hands and
- 44:38Speaker 1: feet is blessed? That's a lie.
- 44:42Speaker 11: I'm a little guy. I'm blessed. I'm a little guy.
- 44:45Speaker 11: I got little hand lift here. I'm still blessing that
- 44:48Speaker 11: that didn't say that.
- 44:49Speaker 7: But I beg to different about what you just said,
- 44:54Speaker 7: seeing it's how you ain't got big hands of.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Sound like hate to me the struggle. Okay, here's a
- 45:07Speaker 1: lot of stuff, y'all. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
- 45:11Speaker 10: What's something that you don't like or enjoy but wish that.
- 45:15Speaker 1: You did something I don't like or enjoy, but wish
- 45:20Speaker 1: I did something I don't like? Yeah, but you wish
- 45:24Speaker 1: you did.
- 45:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 45:26Speaker 1: That's a good crush. Yeah, that's a good one. Because
- 45:29Speaker 1: if I don't like it, I just I don't like it.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I ain't I if I don't like it. I don't
- 45:38Speaker 1: like what I wanted for. Well, that's fair. You can't
- 45:41Speaker 1: think of anything I wish.
- 45:43Speaker 11: I like black Jack, but I don't know what the
- 45:44Speaker 11: hell I'm doing when I'm sitting there, I don't. I
- 45:46Speaker 11: can't enjoy that. That's then I sit on the end
- 45:49Speaker 11: and I'm messing it up for everybody else.
- 45:51Speaker 7: I don't.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 45:52Speaker 7: I wish I loved everybody, but I don't. I don't
- 45:57Speaker 7: know how I'm getting to Heaven with that attitude.
- 46:03Speaker 10: Coming up next, nephews on freak phone.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I'm explaining to do when I get to that gate cap.
- 46:11Speaker 1: I'm with you. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Right about four minutes after Shirley left us was one
- 46:24Speaker 3: of her favorite Strawberry letters. The subject is Yeah, fight
- 46:29Speaker 3: or flight. This is one of her favorites. But right
- 46:31Speaker 3: now the nephew is here with today's phone call.
- 46:35Speaker 1: What you got, nephew.
- 46:36Speaker 11: We headed back to the church, called it. We headed
- 46:38Speaker 11: back to the church again. Yeah, you know, you know
- 46:43Speaker 11: I love the church. We grew up in church. Me
- 46:45Speaker 11: and I grew up in church, and we're there every day,
- 46:47Speaker 11: every other day. We grew up in the church house.
- 46:49Speaker 11: But that's right, that's starting to bother me. When you
- 46:51Speaker 11: go to church, of course, you know, maybe you ain't
- 46:53Speaker 11: been in a couple of days, a couple of a
- 46:55Speaker 11: couple of weeks, and they I just don't like it
- 46:58Speaker 11: when I don't get no notetion that it's a guest past.
- 47:02Speaker 11: I guess, I guess you know that preaching where is
- 47:07Speaker 11: Ain't nobody told me nothing? I want my money back.
- 47:09Speaker 11: I want my money back. He's preaching from the Book
- 47:12Speaker 11: of Ruth. Don't nobody preach from Ruth?
- 47:14Speaker 6: Lo?
- 47:14Speaker 1: What you doing? Man? What is all this? Where is
- 47:17Speaker 1: the regular past that? I ain't come in here for this?
- 47:20Speaker 11: I got all dressed up and got here at ten o'clock,
- 47:22Speaker 11: and now past ain't here. And here I hear the
- 47:25Speaker 11: guests past here preaching in front the book of Ruth?
- 47:28Speaker 1: Who do that?
- 47:29Speaker 6: Who do that?
- 47:30Speaker 11: I need my money back? I'm calling the church and
- 47:31Speaker 11: I need my money back. Let's go catch dog. I
- 47:33Speaker 11: want my money back.
- 47:35Speaker 9: Hello, I need to speak to sister Policia.
- 47:38Speaker 5: I okay, who is this?
- 47:40Speaker 9: That's right? Here is Glen? All right? This is Glenn?

- 47:44Speaker 9: suster policia? But I have some please?
- 47:46Speaker 5: Okay, sir, how did you get my number?
- 47:49Speaker 9: I got your number from one of the deacons at
- 47:50Speaker 9: the church.
- 47:51Speaker 5: Okay what deacon was that?
- 47:52Speaker 9: I don't even know the deacon name. I listen when
- 47:55Speaker 9: I'm trying to ask you, I'm trying to ask you,
- 47:57Speaker 9: can you reimburse me for some money that I put
- 48:00Speaker 9: in church on Sunday?
- 48:01Speaker 5: Okay? Well, can you just calm down just a little plea? Sir?
- 48:04Speaker 9: I I'm look. Are you the financial person at the church?
- 48:07Speaker 3: Yes?
- 48:07Speaker 9: I am soo.
- 48:07Speaker 5: What can I do for you?
- 48:08Speaker 9: I'm trying to get my money back that I put
- 48:11Speaker 9: in church on Sunday. I put one hundred dollars in
- 48:14Speaker 9: church on Sunday, and I'm trying to get my one
- 48:16Speaker 9: hundred dollars back.
- 48:17Speaker 5: Okay, what did you not give from your heart?
- 48:19Speaker 9: I gave from my heart what I thought was gonna happen,
- 48:21Speaker 9: but it didn't happen.

- 48:27Speaker 5: What didn't happen?

- 48:31Speaker 9: Sunday and y'all had this guest minister come in who
- 48:36Speaker 9: I ain't like him at all. But the dog on
- 48:39Speaker 9: the offering was before he even got up to preach,
- 48:43Speaker 9: so I didn't already gain my offer, which was one
- 48:45Speaker 9: hundred dollars, and then I didn't even know Pastor wasn't.
- 48:49Speaker 9: Now you know what I'm saying. So here I am
- 48:52Speaker 9: giving one hundred dollars. I'm thinking, I know I'm gonna
- 48:54Speaker 9: get the word when Pastor there. But y'all put this

- 49:06Speaker 9: ain't giving to that, sir.
- 49:08Speaker 5: Do you not read the bulletin? I mean, how often
- 49:10Speaker 5: do you even come to church?
- 49:11Speaker 9: I come to church often. I mean, what dos got
- 49:13Speaker 9: to do with anythiing?
- 49:14Speaker 5: W if you were come a little often to read
- 49:16Speaker 5: the bulletin, so you would have known that Pastor took
- 49:18Speaker 5: a vacation.
- 49:20Speaker 9: He took a vacation, so so everybody knew he wasn't
- 49:23Speaker 9: gonna be there.
- 49:24Speaker 5: Yes, sir, the regulars, the people that come regular to church.

- 56:44Speaker 14: Subject fight or Flight, Fight or Flight, Dear Stephens, Shirley,
- 56:48Speaker 14: I'm a thirty year old flight attendant, and I'm married
- 56:51Speaker 14: to a forty four year old professor. I met him
- 56:54Speaker 14: when I was in grad school and we started dating
- 56:57Speaker 14: after I got my degree. He was going going through
- 57:00Speaker 14: a divorce and we kept our relationship private until it
- 57:03Speaker 14: was finalized. He has a seventeen year old daughter that
- 57:06Speaker 14: found out on social media and she started a lot
- 57:09Speaker 14: of chaos in our lives. She didn't show up at
- 57:12Speaker 14: our wedding, and it devastated my husband. He was upset
- 57:16Speaker 14: that his ex wife allowed her to skip the wedding.
- 57:19Speaker 14: I was over her by that time, so I didn't care.
- 57:22Speaker 14: Now she's about to turn eighteen and asks if she
- 57:25Speaker 14: can come live with us in Florida and attend a
- 57:28Speaker 14: fashion school. I never answered my husband, and he eventually
- 57:32Speaker 14: flipped out on me and made the executive decision to
- 57:35Speaker 14: allow her to come. I fixed up our home office
- 57:38Speaker 14: for her, and I moved my desk on to our
- 57:40Speaker 14: sun porch. I was so irritated. She has been here
- 57:45Speaker 14: four months and she has done exactly what I knew
- 57:47Speaker 14: she was going to do. Now, when she's got an attitude,
- 57:50Speaker 14: I leave and go to work. I take any flight
- 57:53Speaker 14: available so I can get away from this girl. My
- 57:56Speaker 14: husband and I argue because he says I'm not a
- 57:59Speaker 14: positive model for her. She's a grown woman to me,
- 58:02Speaker 14: and she's got parents that failed her and allowed her
- 58:05Speaker 14: to disrespect grown people. I told my husband that if
- 58:08Speaker 14: she pops off at the mouth one more time, I'm
- 58:11Speaker 14: going to pop her. He says I need to learn
- 58:13Speaker 14: how to be a parent, and I told him I
- 58:15Speaker 14: will as soon as he makes me one. I would
- 58:18Speaker 14: rather work and deal with the plane full of needy
- 58:20Speaker 14: passengers instead of dealing with the grown child. My husband
- 58:24Speaker 14: told me that my fight or flight mentality is ruining us.
- 58:29Speaker 14: He can't see that his child is divisive and honoring.
- 58:33Speaker 14: Am I wrong or does he need to put her out? Absolutely? Yes,
- 58:39Speaker 14: I think you're wrong. I do think you're wrong on
- 58:43Speaker 14: so many levels. Here I'll tell you why. It's simple.
- 58:45Speaker 14: You are the adult. You keep calling her a grown woman.
- 58:49Speaker 14: You keep saying she's grown, but she's really still a child.
- 58:52Speaker 14: You're grown when you can pay your own way and
- 58:55Speaker 14: when you can take care of yourself, and she's not
- 58:57Speaker 14: doing that right now. She's in your home, living off you, guys,
- 59:01Speaker 14: she's living with you, guys. You're also grown when you
- 59:04Speaker 14: can face your problems head on. But what do you
- 59:07Speaker 14: do You run and jump on a flight and as
- 59:10Speaker 14: you say, deal with the plane full of needy passengers
- 59:13Speaker 14: rather than trying to fix a problem at the house.
- 59:16Speaker 14: And yes, it is a problem because it's causing you
- 59:19Speaker 14: and your husband to argue. Now why would you let
- 59:21Speaker 14: that happen? You too should prevent present a united front
- 59:26Speaker 14: to his daughter, making it impossible for her to come
- 59:28Speaker 14: between you guys, because that is what's happening, that situation.
- 59:32Speaker 14: You all are allowing to let it come between you.
- 59:35Speaker 14: Stay home in the midst of all this and handle
- 59:38Speaker 14: your situation. No more jumping on planes when you can't
- 59:41Speaker 14: deal with it anymore. I say, first you and your
- 59:44Speaker 14: husband should talk agree on some basic house rules. Then
- 59:47Speaker 14: a family meeting should be called to let the daughter
- 59:50Speaker 14: know about the new changes. And again, remember you and
- 59:53Speaker 14: your husband are on the same team, and you guys
- 59:55Speaker 14: are the adults. I mean, she needs to see that
- 59:58Speaker 14: you guys are together her dad, but he's your husband,
- 1:00:01Speaker 14: which means it's your house and your rules. So as
- 1:00:06Speaker 14: you know, she's welcome as long as she abides by
- 1:00:08Speaker 14: the house rules. I mean that means no attitudes, no
- 1:00:12Speaker 14: popping off, at the mouth, no disrespect of any kind.
- 1:00:15Speaker 14: And let me say this, if she pops off at
- 1:00:18Speaker 14: the mouth one more time, you're gonna pop her.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Don't don't pop her. That's not what this is all about.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Don't do that.
- 1:00:24Speaker 14: I mean, you know, she's angry, she's she's trying you
- 1:00:27Speaker 14: and all of that, trying to come between her.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: But you don't have to take it there. You can
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: be the bigger person here.
- 1:00:33Speaker 14: You can invite her to lunch, you can do something
- 1:00:35Speaker 14: fun with her, you know, and try to make peace
- 1:00:38Speaker 14: with her, and like your husband said, be a role
- 1:00:41Speaker 14: model for her. I think you should try that before
- 1:00:44Speaker 14: you give up on this situation and start, you know,
- 1:00:47Speaker 14: popping her and all that all together.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Steve, Wow, this is gonna have a couple of twists
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and turns.
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: And I.
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: Agree with what She'll was saying about the letter. The problem,
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: the real problem here is in the letter writer. That
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: seems to be the real problem.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Now you're a.
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: Thirty year old flight attendant and you're married to a
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: forty four year old professor.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Now see, I want you to understand something.
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: The news got out some kind of ways because this
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: story got told because somebody knows he was your professor
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: at the school. I met him when I was a
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: grad school and we started dating after I got my degree.
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: He was going through a divorce and we kept our
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: relationship private until it was finalized. He has a seventeen
- 1:01:42Speaker 7: year old daughter that found out on social media and
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: she started a lot of chaos.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: In our lives.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Well, the daughter found out what on social media that
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: you all were dating or you all had gotten married.
- 1:01:56Speaker 7: I think she found out y'all was dating, so quite naturally,
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: her and the mother are now blaming you.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: As the cause of the divorce. That's how it always works,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: ain't it. Yes, So now after they found.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: Out on social media, she started a lot of chaos
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: in our lives. She didn't show up at our wedding,
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: and it devastated my husband. He was upset that his
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: ex wife allowed her to skip the wed You mean
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: his ex wife didn't make her go to the web
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: His ex wife wasn't now, so the ex wife didn't
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: make the daughter go to the wedding. What you mean
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: allow her to skip it? She's seventeen. She didn't want
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: to go down there because she figured you the reason
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: her mama and daddy ain't together, and her Mama didn't
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: co sign that, because as soon as you start dating somebody,
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: they go, oh here.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: She is right here. You the reason that you was dating,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: and you younger, and you younger.
- 1:02:57Speaker 14: Hang on, Steve, Part two of your responses coming up

- 1:03:44Speaker 14: All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:47Speaker 14: The subject fight or flight.
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: Thirty year old flight attendant is married to a forty
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: four year old professor. She met the professor in grad
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: school and they started dating after she got the degree.
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: What she says he was going through a divorce, and
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: we kept our relationship private until it was finalized.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: He got a seventeen year old daughter that found out
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: on social.
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: Media and she started a lot of chaos in her life.
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: She was seventeen then, well, now listen to that. She
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: didn't show up at our wearing and it devastated my
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: husband because he was upset that his ex wife allowed
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: her to skip the wear. No, his ex wife didn't
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: make her go down there, because the ex wife and
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: the daughter then came to the conclusion that this young
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: girl you married is the reason why y'all got the
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: divorce any way, and that's exactly how it looks.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: And then when they found out about.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: Y'all's relationship on social media, that validated because it was
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: only telling one story. Then you said I was over
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: her by that time, so I didn't care. So now
- 1:04:50Speaker 7: you didn't care if she comes to the wind because
- 1:04:52Speaker 7: you over.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Her by that time.
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: It was a year chaos that you was through with
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: the girl. She's about to turn eighteam Oh, So it
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: wasn't even a whole year because now you say it
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: was about to turn it to you see how fast
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: this is moving.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: But you left that out the letter, baby, baby, you
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: left that out after she finds out there.
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: Next thing, she know y'all getting married and there's a
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: fourteen year age justice and you were his students while
- 1:05:27Speaker 7: he was a professor, and y'all were seeing each other
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: while they still were married and not yet the boy
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: because y'all kept.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: It to see see how this working? See how this working?
- 1:05:39Speaker 11: Ah?
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: Now she want to come live with y'all in Florida
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: and attend the fashion school. I never answered my husband.
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: He eventually flipped out on me and made an executive
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: decision to allow her to come.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: It's his daughter.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: She want to come down there and stay with her
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: daddy's go to fashion school. What you want him to
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: say except yes, I fixed up her home office for her.
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: I moved my desk into our son point. I was
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: so irritated you did all this begrudging me. She has
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: been there four months since. She's done exactly what I
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: knew she was gonna do. Now she's got an attitude.
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: Now when she's got an attitude, I leave and go
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: to work. See you're not explaining this. You're not explaining
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: she did exactly what you want. You don't give us
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: no information. I take a flight whenever available, anything to
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: get away from this girl. My husband, I argue, because
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: he says, I'm not a positive role model for her.
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: She's a grown woman. To me, Shirley's right, she's not
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: a grown woman. She's eighteen. She's just not turning eighteen.
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: She's a child.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: She don't get it. Now you're an adult. You know
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: what happened.
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: You know why this girl mad. She's got parents that
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: failed her and allowed her to disrespect grown people. Wait
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: a minute, respect.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: On social media?
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: You dating her daddy that's divorce and her mama? Wow
- 1:07:12Speaker 7: they still married that You kept it a secret. That's
- 1:07:16Speaker 7: what you said. Respect. See you want something you wasn't
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: willing to give, See, little sister, that's how this game work.
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: Now this the grown folk game. I'm just giving it
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: to you straight. I told my husband, and she pops
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: off at the mouth one more time. I'm gonna pop
- 1:07:35Speaker 7: up and then what?
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: And then what?
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: Because she talking that You're gonna hit her in the mouth,
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: so you gonna resort the virus pharol stop. He says,
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: I need to learn how to be a parent. I
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: told him as soon as I will, as soon as
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: he makes me. Won Wait a minute, excuse me, Harry,
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: you're twelve years older than this girl. That best you
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: can be a big sister, but parent she has two parents,
- 1:08:05Speaker 7: you not. She's not finna call you mama. Hey, none
- 1:08:10Speaker 7: of this is sitting to work. I'm gonna have a
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: suggestion for you to say. I told him as soon
- 1:08:16Speaker 7: as he makes me, I would rather work and deal
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: with a plane full of needy passages instead of dealing.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: With a grown child. He keep saying grown. But she
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: a child, She's not.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: My husband told me that my fighter fighter flight mentality
- 1:08:29Speaker 7: is runnings. He can't see that his child is divisive
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: and honored.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: Am I wrong?
- 1:08:35Speaker 7: Or does he need to put out? First of all,
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: he can't put his daughter out, Well, you're asking a
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: man to not be a man. You're asking a father
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: to not be a farther. You asking a man to
- 1:08:49Speaker 7: show his daughter an example of man that he's hoping
- 1:08:52Speaker 7: that one day she'll be able to find put her out?
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? And you asking that?
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: What's wrong with your maturity level? No, he can't ask
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: his daughter to leave, and no he can't put her out.
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: I'm gonna tell you right here, y'all, you never failed
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: to mention in this letter that.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: You all have ever had to sit down to discuss this,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: to work through it, because you know what. Your corner decided.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: You don't like her. You was through with the boat.
- 1:09:20Speaker 7: She came to you house, and now you're reaping what
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: you saw. You remember how I got your man des.

- 1:10:46Speaker 3: you got, nephew, you're doing sports today?
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Look man, the nephew doing sports. I don't know if
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: y'all saw it.
- 1:10:51Speaker 11: Sterling shape, Jared Allen, Eric Allen and Antonio Gates would
- 1:10:56Speaker 11: just welcome into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday,
- 1:10:58Speaker 11: and can know how they're in the shop. They had
- 1:11:02Speaker 11: a moment of course with his brother shinning sharp as
- 1:11:05Speaker 11: they are now the first brothers both enshrine in the
- 1:11:09Speaker 11: Hall of Fame.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Did you see it? Y'all saw some of it? Yeah?
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Let me ask you what you think?
- 1:11:14Speaker 11: Do you think with all of the drama that's going
- 1:11:16Speaker 11: on with Shannon, do you kind you think it may
- 1:11:19Speaker 11: have dampered what was going on with brother.
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: I don't think it did. I don't think it did.
- 1:11:25Speaker 7: You know, he still went into the hall. I mean,
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: of course he would have loved He asked ESPN to
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: hold the announcement until afterwards. They didn't because ESPN don't
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: care about his brother or his feelings. You know, they Disney,
- 1:11:40Speaker 7: we're doing the right thing. We're electric right now, so
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: you know, you know, they had a great moment on
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: stage together. Shinnon his brother, Sterling loves him, you know,
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: and he gonna stand by his brother no matter what
- 1:11:55Speaker 7: he did, as he's that's right to die, that's right.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: Sterlin gave an emotional speech. I didn't see all of it,
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: but I saw people crying and people you know, talking
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: about it on social media, so that you know, everybody
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: was saying it was a touching.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Moment for them.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: So that I mean, like you said, Tommy, first two
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: brothers to be enshrined the Hall of Fame, that's.
- 1:12:22Speaker 11: Being one family with two of them gold jackets. Yeah,
- 1:12:26Speaker 11: and I held my jacket on ed tank.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Y'all see me out at the gas station with that
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: gold jacket on, pumping gas everything. You come by the house,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I'm cutting the yard. I got my gold jacket on. Man,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: you can't tell me nothow.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: So who do you think, guys? Is there anybody that
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: is not in the Hall of Fame yet that you
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: think should be? Steve favorite players?
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: You are in the hall? Yeah, in the hall that's
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: not in it now?
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, I don't have anybody in the Hall
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: of Fame I think ought to be in there. I
- 1:13:01Speaker 7: think there's somebody in the Baseball Hall of Fame that
- 1:13:04Speaker 7: I think should be in there. I think the Roles
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: should be in there. I think Sammy Solser should be
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: in there. I think Mark McGuire should be in there.
- 1:13:15Speaker 7: And I think one thousand percent that very bonds.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that I do know. But America is so
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: dog on hypocritical.
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: They got a lot of nerve man passing judgment on cats,
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: They got a lot of nerve. You can put Trump
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: in the White House, but you can't put Barry Bones
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: in the hall, man.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Right that part?
- 1:13:41Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:13:42Speaker 10: Yeah, thank you, Steve, Thank you, nephew.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: Coming up at the top of the hour, a young
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: man on social media needs some advice, job offer or
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: love of my life.
- 1:13:52Speaker 10: We'll talk about it right after this you're listening.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: To the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:00Speaker 10: G on' Steve Harvey FM Rights.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: I'm twenty three and just finish school with a tech degree,
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: but landing a job.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Has been harder than I expected.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: Right now, I've got a temporary job that pays the bills,
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: but I just got a full time offer with great pay,
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: double what I'm making now. The problem is is that
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: it's four hours away from my girlfriend. We've been together
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: since high school and I really do see a future
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: with her. But she can't move right now because she's
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: helping her parents out, especially since her dad's been sick.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: If I stay, I might miss my shot. If I go,
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: I don't know if our relationship will make it. Do
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: I hold out for something closer or take the job
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: and risk losing the person that I love.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: You better go get this dog on job. Ory this
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: man up time right here.
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: You can't buy houses and provide for families with just love.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: You have a part of your life as a man.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Provision is a huge part of it.
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: M now, you stay in town and hold hands all
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: you want, but that's gonna get going to the movies.
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: But if you don't start progressing, the train up the track. Brother,
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: it's gonna be hard. So at one point in time,
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: you're gonna she's gonna a woman will marry you for security.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: So you're telling him, go get it, go, get it, go,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: get the job, right, yeah, man? Yeah, you know many
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: times I have to move from work. We all have
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: ye move.
- 1:15:40Speaker 10: Yes, we're going, We're going, We're going.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: We live in New York, we live in Atlanta.
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: You gotta do what you gotta do. Yeah, so that's
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: good advice. All right, Steve, here we go. We got
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: time for one more. Steve and nephew. Marva on Steve
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: Harvey FM Rights. I've been married, y'all, Marva, all right,
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: marvra on Steve.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Harvey FM Rights.
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: I've been married just under two years to someone I
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: once thought was my person. At first, everything was perfect.
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: We had the same goals, the same sense of humor,
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: the same dreams. But lately I feel like I'm vanishing
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: inside the relationship. I'm not working right now, and my
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: husband was okay with that, but now he's grown distant,
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: even passive. Aggressive when I ask for money for the bills.
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: When I think about leaving, I hesitate because he's kind
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: to others says the right things in front of friends,
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: and I wonder.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: If I'm just being ungrateful.
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: I've started emotionally pulling back, But I don't know if
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: that means it's time to go or am I giving
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: up too early? How do you know when your heart
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: is tired for a reason.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Or not, and not just overwhelmed. So there's a lot
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: in that. What do you think?
- 1:17:05Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a lot in that, you know. Look, I
- 1:17:07Speaker 7: don't it's there's so much information we don't have to
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: help you deal with that.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: You know, men are going to stress about the finances.
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: They're gonna stress about the finances because that's how he equates.
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: That's how he measures his his manhood, his value. We
- 1:17:31Speaker 7: measure it by our work and what we bring to
- 1:17:35Speaker 7: the table and contribute to the to the UH, to
- 1:17:38Speaker 7: the relationship. Yeah, I'm still guilty of that myself after
- 1:17:41Speaker 7: all these years. So he's not going to stop m
- 1:17:45Speaker 7: HM wanting to have a say so in it. I
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: think what has to happen is he has to be
- 1:17:52Speaker 7: convinced that you're not going to sink the ship with
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: your decisions. I think you all got to have monthly
- 1:17:58Speaker 7: meetings financially to discuss moving forward what you're doing, because
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: if you don't, after two years of not discussing it,
- 1:18:05Speaker 7: all of a sudden, you're saying stuff like he's grown
- 1:18:08Speaker 7: distance and he's checking me.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Now. Well, y'all should be having monthly meetings, and some
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: of this could have been avoided.
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: Job.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: You know, I don't know if she quit because you
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: said it was okay with it. If you got fired,
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: you have no choice.
- 1:18:21Speaker 11: When he said okay, it wasn't okay though when he
- 1:18:23Speaker 11: said it, it would clearly.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: But I like Chick for Something, got to get the
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: job they had on there, Chick for Late Now and
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: My Pleasure. More of today's trigger stories.
- 1:18:41Speaker 10: At twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning.

- 1:19:35Speaker 3: snack food or maybe your favorite candy and cookie together,
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: what would it be?
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: What do you if I put that Hershey ba down
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: in that Bluebell ice cream? I would? If I could
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: cram that down in there, I'd do it. Which Bluebell flavor? Vanilla? Vanilla?
- 1:19:53Speaker 9: Yes?
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: Oh, I got some goodie Hershey Yes, come on, Steve,

- 1:23:01Speaker 11: nicked twister. Everybody's sign up for that. That'd be nice,
- 1:23:06Speaker 11: man like a tournament. Yeah, like I wish we still
- 1:23:09Speaker 11: had the hoodies I going on and had that on
- 1:23:12Speaker 11: Friday naked twist in Vegas?
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: Would you rather have a friend with benefits or a
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: one night stand with a stranger?
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: I'm too old.
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: I'd rather have what a friend with benefits or one
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: night stand with a stranger.
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: What is the benefits? Yeah, I'd rather have a friend
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: with benefits. I don't need that because you won't mess
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: around and be on the internet in the morning.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: My headline, yeah, strange and strange for a reason. A
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: stranger danger. All right, Finally here we go.
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: Would you rather lie and tell someone you like the
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: meal that he or she prepared or cooked for you?
- 1:23:59Speaker 10: Or would you rather be honest and tell them you
- 1:24:02Speaker 10: didn't like it?
- 1:24:03Speaker 11: These some nasty greens you don't cook. I got to
- 1:24:06Speaker 11: say it. I can say you can't have no bad greens.
- 1:24:08Speaker 11: I got to take you this is terrible. Don't you
- 1:24:11Speaker 11: ever cook this again?
- 1:24:13Speaker 6: What?
- 1:24:14Speaker 7: But they gonna keep cooking it though if we don't
- 1:24:16Speaker 7: say something. Come on, Steve, I've dated a fine chick.
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: You can't cook it ain't gonna.

- 1:25:12Speaker 3: it's good Tuesday today.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: Yeah, what you got it was good. Yeah.
- 1:25:20Speaker 7: Keep our coworkers in your prayers, Shirley and Junior, just
- 1:25:24Speaker 7: remember that. Also in my closing, let me say this,
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: and this is something that I'm currently dealing with, and
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: I know a lot of people. Matter of fact, I
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: don't know nobody who's not dealing with it. You know,
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: you know when you've been praying about something, and you've
- 1:25:48Speaker 7: prayed about it for a long time, and it's something
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: you've wanted and hoped for, and it's been a long time,
- 1:25:59Speaker 7: and sometimes you get to the point where you just
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: you want to go, Hey, God, are you listening.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: I said, this is what I want. This is what
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I need. You know, the part that you have to.
- 1:26:09Speaker 7: Understand, especially if you've been in contact with him on
- 1:26:12Speaker 7: a regular and even if you just started back with him,
- 1:26:16Speaker 7: or are you are? Are you starting up with him now?
- 1:26:20Speaker 7: God knows what we need before we ask. But the
- 1:26:25Speaker 7: part that we got to get to is to trust
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: in the timing that He has. Now, this is a
- 1:26:34Speaker 7: tough thing to do, y'all, because God's timing has never
- 1:26:39Speaker 7: ever been my timing.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: Ever, I don't don't.
- 1:26:43Speaker 7: I look back on all of the things I've asked
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: for and I found out that the answer was no.
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: And I think about, man, how disappointed I was. Let
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: me tell you something I was. I was about twenty seven,
- 1:26:58Speaker 7: hadn't gotten into comedy yet. I interviewed with an insurance company.
- 1:27:04Speaker 7: And I won't say the name of the insurance company,
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: but my boy had got me the interview.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: The man I interviewed it with. His name was either
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: Roy Foster or Ray Foster.
- 1:27:17Speaker 7: And I'd been through about four or five interviews and
- 1:27:20Speaker 7: this was my final interview, and man, I was so excited.
- 1:27:25Speaker 7: This was around in eighty four, eighty five, somewhere like that,
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: and I was so excited. Man, I knew I was
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: gonna get this job. And I went to the interview
- 1:27:38Speaker 7: and the man told me, you know, this is a
- 1:27:41Speaker 7: final interview, and I just have one concern. I'm looking
- 1:27:43Speaker 7: at your record and it looks like you've moved four
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: times over the last six years, and for that, that
- 1:27:51Speaker 7: just doesn't symbolize stability. He said, you want to explain that,
- 1:27:56Speaker 7: and I just told her. I said, man, I had
- 1:27:57Speaker 7: a couple of things happened.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: He had to move.
- 1:27:59Speaker 7: My least went up, I moved again. I had the twins,
- 1:28:03Speaker 7: and I had to move to get a bigger place.
- 1:28:05Speaker 7: He said, yeah, yeah, yeah, Yo. All that says to
- 1:28:08Speaker 7: me is instability. Well, sorry, we won't be hind you
- 1:28:12Speaker 7: at that time.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: And so I got in my.
- 1:28:15Speaker 7: Seventy two Chevy and I drove out the parking lot
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: and I was heartbroken because man, I wanted that job
- 1:28:21Speaker 7: so bad.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: And I swung around on the freeway.
- 1:28:25Speaker 7: And I was driving past the big sign of the
- 1:28:29Speaker 7: insurance company as I had made that U turn and
- 1:28:31Speaker 7: loopter and tears was just rolling down my face. I
- 1:28:36Speaker 7: felt so disappointed at that moment. Man, God, you know
- 1:28:40Speaker 7: I need this job. I'm trying to take care of
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: these kids, and he said no.
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Do you know what.
- 1:28:49Speaker 7: Had I gotten that job at guess what, I probably
- 1:28:53Speaker 7: wouldn't have got into comedy because that would have been
- 1:28:56Speaker 7: the career path I thought that I really wanted, and
- 1:28:58Speaker 7: God said, no, I'm not gonna do that. So the
- 1:29:01Speaker 7: answer is no. And as I look back over my life,
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: I can think of so many times that the answer
- 1:29:10Speaker 7: to my prayer has been no. And if it had
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: a been yes what I was praying for, my outcome
- 1:29:17Speaker 7: would have been totally different. There's no way I would
- 1:29:20Speaker 7: be where I am today had the answer had to
- 1:29:22Speaker 7: he answer to prayer the way I wanted it to.
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: So as I sit here today, are you sitting here
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: today and you've been asking for something over and over?
- 1:29:31Speaker 7: And I said, like I've been asking for something over
- 1:29:33Speaker 7: and over. Could it be possible that the answer is no?
- 1:29:37Speaker 7: And usually when God tells me no is because he
- 1:29:40Speaker 7: has a better plan. It has always worked that way. Man,
- 1:29:44Speaker 7: It's crazy. Hey, you know what, suppose you had stayed
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: with that person that you had prayed for. Suppose you
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: had stayed with that person that you really thought was
- 1:29:56Speaker 7: this that or the other, and you stayed with him,
- 1:29:58Speaker 7: would you be where you were in to.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: No, probably not. Had you stayed there, had they not
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: left you, had you been able to find who you
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: have now? Probably not. If you had stayed on that
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: job that you had, would you be in a position
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: that you're in now? Probably not?
- 1:30:15Speaker 7: Or maybe it still ain't just works itself completely out yet, y'all.
- 1:30:19Speaker 7: You gotta keep waking up and understanding that when God
- 1:30:22Speaker 7: wakes you up, it's a clear sign that He ain't
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: through with you yet.
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: So why don't you see what the process? He is quick.
- 1:30:27Speaker 7: Complaining all the time when it don't go your way.
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: Sometimes your way ain't really the best way. I've had
- 1:30:33Speaker 7: to discover that as smart as I think I am,
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: I've really made some dumb decisions.
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: I really have.
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: Man, I done walked myself into some crazy situations. So
- 1:30:51Speaker 7: now I'm really just learning to trust trusting his steps
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: as he's ordering a mind, because I ask him to
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: order my steps and trust in his timing and ask
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: God to let your plans to prosper me, let them
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: come true.
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: That's the best way to live. If you can do that, man,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: you release a lot.
- 1:31:15Speaker 7: Of pressure from yourself because you're trying to figure out
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: which way to go. When God clearly has a path
- 1:31:21Speaker 7: for you that's already designed. Why don't you talk to
- 1:31:24Speaker 7: God about that? Ask God what would he have for
- 1:31:26Speaker 7: you to do today? Ask God to order your steps today.
- 1:31:30Speaker 7: Ask God to give you peace of mind, the direction,
- 1:31:32Speaker 7: and ask God for the strength to just stand the
- 1:31:35Speaker 7: test and trust in his timing. God's timing is different,
- 1:31:39Speaker 7: but it's usually way way better. Those are my close
- 1:31:42Speaker 7: remarks today. Have a go with today, y'all. Hey, listen,
- 1:31:46Speaker 7: talk to God today. He'd absolutely love to hear from you. Okay,
- 1:31:51Speaker 7: all right, do that, y'all. Stay in peace.
