- 2:03Speaker 7: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 7: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 7: radio show. Man o man o man. I thank God
- 2:16Speaker 7: for it. I thank God for all he's done for me,
- 2:21Speaker 7: for all the little things that I oftentimes failed to
- 2:25Speaker 7: thank him for that I take for granted for you know,
- 2:30Speaker 7: I was talking the other day to a buddy of mine.
- 2:35Speaker 7: We had gotten to this conversation about God and and
- 2:40Speaker 7: in the conversation we had narrowed it down and we
- 2:43Speaker 7: were talking about changing the way we are as people.
- 2:47Speaker 7: You know that everybody has to change. You know, nothing
- 2:51Speaker 7: stays the same. Everybody changes, and a lot of these
- 2:56Speaker 7: changes can be for the good, and a lot of
- 2:58Speaker 7: them are just they just with time. You know, sometimes
- 3:01Speaker 7: it's aging that changes us. But no matter how old
- 3:05Speaker 7: you get, you still have the ability to improve as
- 3:11Speaker 7: a person. You may not have the footspeed you used
- 3:15Speaker 7: to have. You may not be as agile as you
- 3:19Speaker 7: used to be. Your energy level may not be what
- 3:24Speaker 7: it used to be. Your desire to do some of
- 3:28Speaker 7: the things that you used to do may be gone.
- 3:33Speaker 5: The thing that.
- 3:36Speaker 7: Doesn't have to change and will not change is you.
- 3:41Speaker 7: You have the ability to continue to grow as a person,
- 3:48Speaker 7: even when far the time and nature has taken its course.
- 3:55Speaker 7: We were talking about everybody can change and everybody has the
- 4:05Speaker 7: right to reinvent themselves as they get older, and I
- 4:11Speaker 7: equated it to jumping out of an airplane. You know,
- 4:15Speaker 7: there are some people man who get to a certain
- 4:18Speaker 7: point in their life and they and they jump from
- 4:21Speaker 7: the airplane is now almost a stunt of some kind.
- 4:27Speaker 7: It's almost like they lifed and got out of control.
- 4:30Speaker 7: You ever seen somebody jump out an airplane and the
- 4:33Speaker 7: parachute don't open, and they life start and it seems
- 4:36Speaker 7: like they start spinning and tumbling and they can't get
- 4:39Speaker 7: it together. And I've seen some mid air rescues before.
- 4:42Speaker 7: But then there are times when you know when it
- 4:45Speaker 7: hasn't worked. You know, you jump out that airplane and
- 4:49Speaker 7: at first it's fun. I've never scot dived before, but
- 4:54Speaker 7: I would imagine when you first jump out of an
- 4:57Speaker 7: airplane that they people describe it as a a sense
- 5:00Speaker 7: of being free, and it's exhilarating when you first jump
- 5:05Speaker 7: out the plane. But if you pull that cord and
- 5:08Speaker 7: nothing happens. That never happened to me. But I can
- 5:12Speaker 7: only imagine the panic that's got to set in because
- 5:17Speaker 7: no matter how fun it was a moment ago, the
- 5:21Speaker 7: flying over to one another, holding hands in the air,
- 5:25Speaker 7: the breeze, the descent, the feeling of all of a sudden,
- 5:32Speaker 7: if you reach for that cord and it's not there,
- 5:35Speaker 7: you're suddenly spinning out of control. And that's what happens
- 5:38Speaker 7: in a lot of people's lives. When you first start
- 5:42Speaker 7: your life, you jump out the plane, You free, you young,
- 5:45Speaker 7: you ain't got nothing to war about it. But then
- 5:46Speaker 7: you get to a certain point in your life when
- 5:48Speaker 7: you go, okay, I'm gonna pull the cord now. And
- 5:53Speaker 7: pulling the cord is an important thing because here's the
- 5:58Speaker 7: analogy my friend gave me. He said, man, use your
- 6:03Speaker 7: mind like a parachute. It works better when it's open. Well,
- 6:09Speaker 7: see what happens with a lot of people is they
- 6:13Speaker 7: in life. They jump out the plane and they having
- 6:18Speaker 7: this free fall and it's fun for now. But they
- 6:22Speaker 7: get to a certain point in their life where they
- 6:24Speaker 7: got themself in a situation, or they've had a little
- 6:27Speaker 7: bit too much fun a little bit too long, or
- 6:30Speaker 7: you know, they wasn't open to nothing and they just
- 6:33Speaker 7: did what they wanted to do, or they started getting
- 6:35Speaker 7: involved with drugs or drinking, or started running with the
- 6:38Speaker 7: wrong people. See you jump out the plane. At first,
- 6:41Speaker 7: you're free falling this fun, but then after a minute, man,
- 6:44Speaker 7: something happens and they realize whoa and they reach for
- 6:47Speaker 7: the cord, and the chord don't work.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Well.
- 6:49Speaker 7: Now you're in the panic stricken situation. And my suggestion
- 6:53Speaker 7: that what I've learned from the analogy that my friends
- 6:55Speaker 7: shared with me is that we all the sooner we
- 6:58Speaker 7: can open our minds to God, the sooner we could
- 7:02Speaker 7: develop that relationship with Him. It's like pulling the chord
- 7:07Speaker 7: and opening a parachute. If you open up your mind
- 7:11Speaker 7: to God, God is like a parachute. You know, God
- 7:16Speaker 7: can slow your descent. God can turn this out of
- 7:21Speaker 7: control freefall into a nice ride for you. See, that's
- 7:27Speaker 7: what happened to me. I was spinning out of control.
- 7:32Speaker 7: I had gotten myself into a point man where I
- 7:36Speaker 7: wasn't doing real good. Oh, y'all would look at me
- 7:39Speaker 7: and think, man, stevee man. Now I wasn't doing real good.
- 7:46Speaker 7: I had spun out of control. I was in a
- 7:49Speaker 7: free fall, and I reached for the chord, but I
- 7:53Speaker 7: was so far away the chord didn't open. Then I
- 7:56Speaker 7: went to him and I pulled the chord. When I
- 7:59Speaker 7: went to God, I pulled the cord and open and
- 8:02Speaker 7: he slowed my descent.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And this is what I just believe.
- 8:06Speaker 7: I don't believe now that I age as fast as
- 8:09Speaker 7: I was aging, because I got that parachute open. Now,
- 8:13Speaker 7: you know, I take better care of myself, eating, I
- 8:15Speaker 7: work out more. Now you know I'm not out of control.
- 8:19Speaker 7: I have a direction now that win. Then got up
- 8:23Speaker 7: under that parachute a little bit, you know, And now
- 8:26Speaker 7: I'm I'm going You know, I'm still getting older, you
- 8:30Speaker 7: know so, but the descent is so slow. Now I'm
- 8:33Speaker 7: able to enjoy the ride. I'm guiding my parachute over.
- 8:37Speaker 7: Sometimes we go over to to a vacation spot over here,
- 8:41Speaker 7: we float back over to it. But you know, I'm
- 8:43Speaker 7: still getting old. I'm still going down. But the descent
- 8:48Speaker 7: because I've opened my mind to God, the parachute has
- 8:52Speaker 7: slowed my descent. And now I'm rocking back and forth.
- 8:57Speaker 7: But I ain't spending out of control no more. You know,
- 8:59Speaker 7: I'm able to enjoy the view now. You know, when
- 9:03Speaker 7: you jump out that plane and you pull that cord
- 9:06Speaker 7: and it don't work, you ain't looking at the view
- 9:08Speaker 7: no more. You're thinking of only one thing. How can
- 9:10Speaker 7: I slow this down? Well, now I'm able to enjoy
- 9:13Speaker 7: the view. I'm able to see all the beautiful things
- 9:16Speaker 7: on the horizon that God has for me. I'm able
- 9:20Speaker 7: to see all the beautiful things around me that He's
- 9:23Speaker 7: provided for me over these years. Because I've slowed my descent.
- 9:27Speaker 7: I use my mind like a parachute. It works better
- 9:31Speaker 7: when it's open. Open your mind to God, and so
- 9:36Speaker 7: you can see the view, so you can slow the descent,
- 9:39Speaker 7: so you can stop the out of control free fall
- 9:42Speaker 7: that you've been on. That you can get your life
- 9:45Speaker 7: together and see everything out on the horizon that God
- 9:48Speaker 7: has for you. You know, It turned out to be
- 9:50Speaker 7: a very true statement your mind. If you use it
- 9:53Speaker 7: like a parachute, it works better when it's open.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Y'alling show.

- 14:40Speaker 11: Uh? It seemed like, well, you know, the trash man
- 14:43Speaker 11: run on on Tuesday, okay and Saturday right now. The
- 14:49Speaker 11: problem is that that that that a lot of people,
- 14:51Speaker 11: I guess since the holiday just passed, you know, a
- 14:53Speaker 11: lot of people got this stuff out on the on
- 14:55Speaker 11: the curve already.
- 14:56Speaker 12: Right right now.
- 14:59Speaker 11: The trolling me is that that that they're saying, man,
- 15:01Speaker 11: is that your trash is actually really really foul and
- 15:06Speaker 11: smelling and smelling pretty bad. And we wanted to call you,
- 15:09Speaker 11: man and see if you do hold on, hold on,
- 15:11Speaker 11: hold on, hold.
- 15:12Speaker 14: On, you calling me because you smell my trash?
- 15:15Speaker 11: Well yeah, they say, yours is the one that's really thinking, man,
- 15:18Speaker 11: And if you could actually maybe put it in, put
- 15:20Speaker 11: it back in the in the in the garage until tuesday.
- 15:22Speaker 12: You know, no trash and no garage.
- 15:25Speaker 14: That's why I put it outside.
- 15:27Speaker 13: I didn't have enough room in the garage.
- 15:28Speaker 11: Okay, well see that?
- 15:30Speaker 14: And who is everybody saying my trashast?
- 15:32Speaker 11: Hey? Listen, I'm not saying. You know what I want
- 15:37Speaker 11: to tell you.
- 15:37Speaker 14: If everybody in the hood gotta fire with my trash,
- 15:40Speaker 14: take you tell them because.
- 15:43Speaker 11: Okay, what what what?
- 15:44Speaker 4: What?
- 15:44Speaker 11: We we we discussed that too, But listen, listen, we
- 15:47Speaker 11: don't want no trouble.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Man.
- 15:47Speaker 11: If we could just get you to put your trash
- 15:49Speaker 11: back in, I'm.
- 15:50Speaker 14: Not moving no trash. I paid rent over here.
- 15:53Speaker 11: My brothers. Hey, we're not gonna go back, and I'm
- 15:56Speaker 11: not gonna go back.
- 15:57Speaker 14: Tell you what you're gonna do. I'm telling you what
- 15:59Speaker 14: I pay rent that don't tell me to just over here.
- 16:02Speaker 11: Okay, Well listen, man, aren't you concerned that your trash
- 16:05Speaker 11: is thinking and reaking through the whole neighborhood.
- 16:07Speaker 14: I don't give a damn. If who smelled my chances
- 16:10Speaker 14: they got a problem with it, tell them come take
- 16:12Speaker 14: it out still then and say it out there.
- 16:14Speaker 11: Okay, whether that's the problem, the problem is is that
- 16:16Speaker 11: you took it out, and you took it out too early.
- 16:18Speaker 11: You should out till Tuesday morning and tuesday.
- 16:23Speaker 14: Money find it. If I put it out there and
- 16:25Speaker 14: say it out yesterday, come get it.
- 16:27Speaker 11: I'm not gonna go back and forth with you, man. Okay,
- 16:30Speaker 11: damn what you gonna do?
- 16:30Speaker 14: If you ain't gonna call me telling me take my chance?
- 16:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I say, n over here?
- 16:34Speaker 14: Okay, Well, how is everybody smelling my trash?
- 16:38Speaker 4: Out?
- 16:38Speaker 11: Of everybody on the see, I don't know from my understanding.
- 16:42Speaker 11: It's just a couple of holes in it. There's some
- 16:44Speaker 11: food or something must have got out. I don't know
- 16:46Speaker 11: if if one of the roads or dog got in it,
- 16:48Speaker 11: or what the case may be, but you know we
- 16:51Speaker 11: need to try to get your trash in the backyard.
- 16:53Speaker 14: My trash ain't going no damn well, and how come
- 16:56Speaker 14: you the one your fus of this? How come my
- 16:59Speaker 14: next neighbor ain't called? How come yo around the corner
- 17:02Speaker 14: and you call? Who'll put you up to this?
- 17:04Speaker 11: What if everybody's smelling it? I was just fortunate enough
- 17:07Speaker 11: to get your phone number. I said, well, look, I
- 17:08Speaker 11: just gone and call it.
- 17:09Speaker 1: My I'll tell you this.
- 17:11Speaker 13: You and hey, you my phone number.

- 17:54Speaker 11: I don't give them.
- 17:55Speaker 14: If it's smell, I'll tell you what I do. I'll
- 17:57Speaker 14: go out to pull slow myself.
- 17:58Speaker 4: That where that where it happened.

- 18:03Speaker 11: the people in the neighborhood want. We want you to say.
- 18:05Speaker 13: Don't give a damn what they want.
- 18:07Speaker 14: I'm telling you what I'm gonna do. And how do
- 18:09Speaker 14: did you get my phone?
- 18:10Speaker 13: I'm any down.
- 18:11Speaker 11: I already told you, man, I got your number from
- 18:13Speaker 11: one of the neighbors on your street that said they
- 18:15Speaker 11: don't want to gell to the.
- 18:17Speaker 14: Left, one to the right, Tell me which one?
- 18:20Speaker 11: Listen, listen, listen, Sweve. Won't you get to the meet
- 18:23Speaker 11: of the problem. The problem is your trash think.

- 39:40Speaker 10: can get to be a toxic in life. She said,
- 39:43Speaker 10: to live your toxic twenties and enjoy them, because when

- 39:49Speaker 10: slashing tires and you know, doing all the stupid things
- 39:52Speaker 10: that you might do when you're young. So I got

- 40:51Speaker 2: they got that they saw each other at the dope man,
- 40:55Speaker 2: it's asked me attractive to see too. Yeah, I could

- 54:22Speaker 10: Right, thanking neh, you subject to fake and phony for me,
- 54:27Speaker 10: Dear Stephen Shirley, my cousin hooked me up with a
- 54:30Speaker 10: man that works with her. He was nice and handsome,
- 54:33Speaker 10: but I could tell that he dyes his hair and
- 54:35Speaker 10: he had something in his beard to make it look
- 54:37Speaker 10: a lot fuller. We went on a few dates and
- 54:40Speaker 10: the conversation was great, but I couldn't get past how
- 54:43Speaker 10: proper he spoke. I drew the line when he tried
- 54:46Speaker 10: to correct how I speak. All the major things checked
- 54:49Speaker 10: out with him. He had a nice condo, but it
- 54:52Speaker 10: was small and there wasn't much furniture in there. His
- 54:55Speaker 10: car was older, but he explained that it was it
- 54:58Speaker 10: had sentimental value to him. I was telling my cousin
- 55:02Speaker 10: the pros and cons of dating him, and she said
- 55:04Speaker 10: that he's really down to earth. So I was wondering
- 55:06Speaker 10: if we were talking about the same man. This man
- 55:10Speaker 10: has been pretending to be something he's not, and I
- 55:12Speaker 10: finally started seeing little things that lead to bigger things.
- 55:16Speaker 10: I spent the night with him, and I ordered dinner
- 55:18Speaker 10: for us. The girl at the restaurant said that they
- 55:21Speaker 10: won't deliver here anymore because the last few orders have
- 55:24Speaker 10: been disputed at the bank and they did not get paid.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Old boy said they had.
- 55:30Speaker 10: Him confused with someone else, and he suggested we make
- 55:33Speaker 10: tacos instead of ordering food.
- 55:35Speaker 1: That same night. I know I would have been out
- 55:38Speaker 1: that same night.
- 55:40Speaker 10: I saw an envelope with a lease in it after
- 55:42Speaker 10: he told me that he owned the condo. I then
- 55:46Speaker 10: noticed that the apartment sign on my way out the
- 55:49Speaker 10: next day. He's also a lot more comfortable around me,
- 55:53Speaker 10: and he dropped the proper talk and he sounds so country,
- 55:57Speaker 10: and boy, can he cuss? This man is a fake,
- 56:01Speaker 10: phony liar. I'm ignoring his calls, and I told my
- 56:04Speaker 10: cousin that he's not the man for me. My cousin said,
- 56:07Speaker 10: he's probably very nervous around me. Am, I being too judgy?
- 56:11Speaker 10: Am I supposed to lower my standards and overlook certain things.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Please help?
- 56:15Speaker 10: I mean, no, you want what you want, right, You're
- 56:18Speaker 10: definitely not supposed to lower your standards. There's nothing wrong
- 56:21Speaker 10: with you wanting a man who's truthful. He's not giving
- 56:24Speaker 10: you the option to choose whether you want to be
- 56:27Speaker 10: with him or not. How could you You don't even
- 56:29Speaker 10: know who he really is, Okay.
- 56:32Speaker 1: His cousin said.
- 56:33Speaker 10: Your cousin says he's one person, and you're seeing that
- 56:36Speaker 10: he's almost the exact opposite of who your cousin said.
- 56:39Speaker 10: At first, I thought you were just complaining and complaining
- 56:42Speaker 10: about the guy. You know, when you said he was
- 56:45Speaker 10: talking proper, and after the woman in the restaurant said
- 56:48Speaker 10: she wouldn't serve him anymore and they didn't get paid,
- 56:52Speaker 10: I was with you after that.
- 56:53Speaker 1: He is a fake and phony.
- 56:56Speaker 10: I don't care that he dies his hair and beard
- 56:58Speaker 10: or whatever, but I do care how he treats you
- 57:00Speaker 10: and lying to you about who he is and what
- 57:03Speaker 10: he asks.
- 57:03Speaker 1: That's not cool. You deserve to know who he is.
- 57:06Speaker 10: If you guys are thinking about a future together and
- 57:08Speaker 10: all of that.
- 57:09Speaker 1: I mean, you know.
- 57:11Speaker 10: You don't even know who you're dating, who he really is,
- 57:14Speaker 10: and what are all these lies for.
- 57:16Speaker 1: Anyway, I think you can do better, Tommy.
- 57:24Speaker 5: I think you already found out that you got you
- 57:26Speaker 5: a phony. I think you already know it. I think
- 57:29Speaker 5: you just want somebody to co sign it for you.
- 57:31Speaker 5: But you already been picked out, like all these little
- 57:33Speaker 5: strange things to give you the ok to give you
- 57:36Speaker 5: to understanding that this brother right here is on something
- 57:38Speaker 5: else that you need to keep him moving and move on.
- 57:41Speaker 5: You already know when he dropped that accent on you
- 57:43Speaker 5: and he quit being proper. That right there, that was
- 57:46Speaker 5: a flag right there when he was over there talking
- 57:48Speaker 5: to you. Yeah, hey, you know what, it's been a
- 57:50Speaker 5: great thing for you to come over and hang out
- 57:52Speaker 5: with me in my apartment. And then all of a sudden,
- 57:55Speaker 5: hey like it. Look at Oh, look at Oh. You
- 57:57Speaker 5: gonna sit on this car right here, know, look say
- 58:00Speaker 5: this here with you. Now, I'm gonna say this here
- 58:01Speaker 5: with you now going down and watch how you sitting
- 58:04Speaker 5: over there? Uh, I need you go out there in
- 58:06Speaker 5: that noble, Go out there in that noble. You know,
- 58:09Speaker 5: that's my pride and joy right there, baby, that's my
- 58:11Speaker 5: pride and joy. That No, but right there and them
- 58:13Speaker 5: people over there, look at it, Look at them people
- 58:15Speaker 5: laying on me by this whole this food thing you're
- 58:17Speaker 5: talking about, you talking about the greasy grill, all right,
- 58:19Speaker 5: No know who you're talking about. You talk about greasy grill,
- 58:21Speaker 5: all right? And what it would they drop some food
- 58:24Speaker 5: off over here and fold had a little old situation,
- 58:26Speaker 5: what hold hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on,
- 58:28Speaker 5: that's that's somebody from my job. Hold on, Hello, hey

- 59:21Speaker 5: than an apartment. It's a duplex. Kind of minium is
- 59:24Speaker 5: what this is. So it's a duplex minim it's.
- 59:27Speaker 11: What it is.
- 59:29Speaker 5: Okay, you know, I know you're trying to read tweenty

- 1:00:50Speaker 10: the recap of today's Strawberry letter. The subject is too
- 1:00:53Speaker 10: fake and phony for me, Dear Stephen Shirley. It says,
- 1:00:56Speaker 10: this is from a woman who has a cousin hooked
- 1:01:00Speaker 10: her up with this man from work. And you know,
- 1:01:03Speaker 10: she liked the man. The man was nice looking, he
- 1:01:06Speaker 10: was nice to her, but she could tell, you know,
- 1:01:08Speaker 10: she that he died his hair and he died his beard,
- 1:01:12Speaker 10: and also she thought that he was a bit phony.
- 1:01:15Speaker 10: You know, he spoke really proper with her, but then
- 1:01:18Speaker 10: you know when he got with his his friends when
- 1:01:21Speaker 10: he wasn't at work, then he talked real country. She said,
- 1:01:26Speaker 10: he said he owned the condo in which he lived.
- 1:01:28Speaker 10: Come to find out it was an apartment. She saw
- 1:01:30Speaker 10: the lease on the table. So he's just telling her
- 1:01:33Speaker 10: a bunch of lies. But she's seeing the real truth
- 1:01:35Speaker 10: with her own eyes. So, you know, she said he
- 1:01:39Speaker 10: was a lot more comfortable around her, and you know,
- 1:01:42Speaker 10: he cussed a whole lot. You know, she just said
- 1:01:47Speaker 10: he was a fake and phony liar. So she told
- 1:01:50Speaker 10: her cousin, and her cousin said, maybe he's just a
- 1:01:52Speaker 10: little nervous around you.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: And she wants to know is she being too judgy?
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: She is she supposed to lower her standards and overlooks
- 1:01:59Speaker 10: her things.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: She needs some help or yeah, let me let me
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: just say this. It started with that beard and that hair.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: That Beijing black. Okay, that Beijing black. That was your
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: first red flag. Okay, you went past that. But but
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: go ahead. I ain't even mad at it because I'm
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: telling you I used to be him. Oh yeah, see,
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: I believe it. Fake it till you make it. Just
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: fake it, and it's always good because you can still
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: get girls if you're fakeingy, why tell the truth? This

- 1:10:10Speaker 10: Coming up at the top of the hour, Guys, a
- 1:10:12Speaker 10: female wrote in for advice after she showed up unannounced
- 1:10:16Speaker 10: at her man's job.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: God, yes you're listening morning show.
- 1:10:28Speaker 10: Well, guys, Mackenzie and Newark says, I've been seeing a
- 1:10:30Speaker 10: man for almost a year. He's a veterinarians assistant and
- 1:10:34Speaker 10: he has been working longer hours, so I wanted to
- 1:10:37Speaker 10: surprise him with Chick fil A for dinner. The receptionist
- 1:10:40Speaker 10: said his clinic had a nasty attitude, and she told
- 1:10:43Speaker 10: me he was with a patient. I laughed and said
- 1:10:46Speaker 10: it was an animal, not a patient. She rolled her
- 1:10:49Speaker 10: eyes extra heart at me and said I could leave
- 1:10:52Speaker 10: the food and go. I texted him and he hit
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: me right back and said he was really busy. I
- 1:10:57Speaker 10: walked out and sat in my car for a while.
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: A few minutes later, my man came to the front
- 1:11:01Speaker 10: of the clinic and he shared his food with the
- 1:11:04Speaker 10: receptionists and.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: They talked and laughed.
- 1:11:07Speaker 10: Later on, when I asked him how the food was,
- 1:11:10Speaker 10: he lied and said that he was so busy he
- 1:11:13Speaker 10: barely had time to eat. Is there something going on
- 1:11:16Speaker 10: with him and the girls?
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: Should I pop up again?
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: They play in front of you. What you think when
- 1:11:23Speaker 5: she rolled her eyes, you supposed to know something was
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: going on when she said he with a patient. He's
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: with a lama right now, all right? He got allama,
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: and he got two cows he got after that, and
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: he got a chipmunk. He got the work on this evening. So, yeah,
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: we don't have time for all of this right now. Whatever,
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: you need to leave it at the think we got
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: a hippopotamus coming in about two thirty. We got a
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: hip hop coming in two that. We got a lot
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: we got to work on right now, So we do
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: not have time for this. And as soon as you left,
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: they outside with some chick flate, dipping it in that
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: Polynesian south and enjoining themselves. Yes, she passed. Something going on.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: When you're a veterinarian and a universal soul cervices in
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: your city. You're finna be busy, you know what, You're
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: gonna be busy. Yes, he was business.
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: Because they're in town.
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: That line. Gotta get this these splinners out of his foot.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: There's a lot of stuff happening.
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: In him and get his raw back. He gotta get it.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: He got sore throat in here every night, Yeah, every night. Yeah,
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: this man is busy. And now now when you messed up,
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: was you need to bring two chicken sandwiches? That's what
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: you need to do. You're gonna go to chicken because
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: you know she in there? Uh huh, it's man busy. Yes,
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: he's busy.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: Circus, that's what you said.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: Yeah, when they in town, all the animals come in town.
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: Would you that that graffe giraff.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Thing crazy? He needs one of those pill ups? Yeah, airplane.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: Do you think he ain't busy. That's the only reason
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: why I'm betting every business is the universe of sold
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: circus is in your city?
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: A monkey is not? Why is I monkey?
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: Monkey?

- 1:13:08Speaker 1: A lot all right, we have time for one more guys.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Queenie and Mobile says.

- 1:13:16Speaker 10: on a cruise. For the past six months, I've been
- 1:13:19Speaker 10: giving my sister the money to pay on the cruise.
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: I called the travel agency to get my tenerary and
- 1:13:25Speaker 10: they said I only paid a deposit. I was able
- 1:13:28Speaker 10: to get half of my deposit back, but I'm out
- 1:13:30Speaker 10: of five hundred and seventy dollars. My sister admitted to
- 1:13:33Speaker 10: spending my money on her bills. She ruined my birthday.
- 1:13:38Speaker 10: I'm too old to fight, so what should I do?
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: You ain't never too old to fight. Let's get that

- 1:13:56Speaker 5: I said, I don't hold grudges, but I do make people,
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: you know, keep you accountable. This this is a prime
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: example right here, now, what we're supposed to do. Why
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: are we not supposed to whoop our sister ass at
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: this point right here? Tell me why you then took

- 1:14:28Speaker 2: gonna be honest with you. Spent all your money. This
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: is where you invite your sister down to Montgomery, Alabama.

- 1:22:28Speaker 5: be coming up on a year and and I am
- 1:22:31Speaker 5: I'm one percent cancer free.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: A beautiful thing.
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: It's it's it's been an incredible journey. They had a
- 1:22:39Speaker 5: lot of ups, lot of downs, and just the village
- 1:22:42Speaker 5: that I have around me. Man, I'm so grateful that
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: you know, my mother, my wife, my sister, I mean,
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: just people that that helped me get through this. And
- 1:22:52Speaker 5: even you guys. You know, you guys are very supportive.
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: And I just want to tell anybody, Man, if you
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: out there and you're going through some health issue, if
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: you're going through uh, this this thing they call cancer,
- 1:23:03Speaker 5: that can just pretty much mentally shut you down. When
- 1:23:06Speaker 5: you get that word, when you get that phone call,
- 1:23:09Speaker 5: I just want you to know that that it's possible.
- 1:23:12Speaker 5: It's possible to get to beat it. It's possible to
- 1:23:14Speaker 5: get to the other side.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: You you you need a lot of faith and a
- 1:23:17Speaker 5: lot of work and it can be done. And I
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: just I just encourage you not to give up, man,
- 1:23:23Speaker 5: do not give up.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: You can make it through that storm.
- 1:23:27Speaker 5: And I'm blessed to be standing on this side to
- 1:23:29Speaker 5: tell you that I made it through it. And you know,
- 1:23:32Speaker 5: just coming up on one year, man, this is this
- 1:23:34Speaker 5: is something different from me. And I don't know, I
- 1:23:39Speaker 5: just I'm still standing and that's I'm still standing and
- 1:23:44Speaker 5: to be able to be back back working, back on
- 1:23:46Speaker 5: the microphone, back on stage, back on my TV show.
- 1:23:50Speaker 5: I mean it's I do I do. I am blessed.
- 1:23:56Speaker 5: I'm blessed, and I give God all the praise man,
- 1:24:00Speaker 5: and I do I do.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: He brought you through this one.
- 1:24:04Speaker 10: The most incredible thing, Tommy, for me, when you had it,
- 1:24:08Speaker 10: just for me as your friend looking on number one,
- 1:24:12Speaker 10: you didn't know, you didn't know initially somebody pointed it
- 1:24:16Speaker 10: out to you. That was a miracle in and of itself,
- 1:24:20Speaker 10: you know, and and all the story. And then your voice,
- 1:24:23Speaker 10: you know, as you were going through it, you had
- 1:24:26Speaker 10: to work with your voice, and you know, you had
- 1:24:28Speaker 10: certain exercises and all of that.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: So, like we say, able to take. Yeah, it was
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: a struggle, but you you made it through.
- 1:24:35Speaker 10: And and you know, I love the fact that you're
- 1:24:37Speaker 10: giving God the glory because you know that's what you do.
- 1:24:41Speaker 10: And I'm so happy that you're here one year later
- 1:24:44Speaker 10: because we were all praying, praying, praying hard.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: For Let me tell you some man, when when was
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: in New Orleans, brother, let me tell you something, man,
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: I saw a dude out there on stage that has
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: overcome something and enjoying what he did it. It was
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: a pleasure watching you perform, man, because you always could
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: realize that it could have been gone yeah, oh yeah.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: And you was out there giving it to them, man,
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: And I was just proud to say, Man, that's how
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: you that's how you bounce back. That's how you bounce back.
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: I mean man, New Orleans. Man was out there giving
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: it to them. Dog, you didn't miss a step. It's
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: like you never missed a step.
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: Man, trying to give it I try to give one
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: hundred and ten now, trying to make Yeah, I do
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: not take it for granted. I do not take it
- 1:25:36Speaker 5: for granted.
- 1:25:37Speaker 8: Well, you know what, Tommy, what what you just said?
- 1:25:39Speaker 8: It was emotional, your journey, what you've gone through. You're
- 1:25:43Speaker 8: a survivor, You're very very strong. Your family loves you,
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: your friends, your family, your fans, listeners, everybody out there
- 1:25:51Speaker 8: was praying for you. And as you what you just said,
- 1:25:53Speaker 8: you are helping someone today. Somebody is on their way
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: to get in chemo. Somebody is on their way to
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: get that diagnosis, that horrible word they were about to
- 1:26:04Speaker 8: hear that, but just knowing through the power of prayer,
- 1:26:07Speaker 8: and your village and your family through the grace of God,
- 1:26:11Speaker 8: praise him as if it's already done. And keep going
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: and keep fighting because you know, we've all know someone
- 1:26:21Speaker 8: that either has been affected by cancer.
- 1:26:23Speaker 5: We know someone is.
