- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, the only thing I totally admired about sleepy Joe
- 0:03Speaker 1: Biden is the following. He'd go to a beach, he'd
- 0:05Speaker 1: lay down in a cut barely able to get his
- 0:08Speaker 1: feet through the sand, and within minutes he's sleeping and
- 0:10Speaker 1: you have cameras watching him. I could never do that.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I would never be able to slip like that.
- 0:15Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Good Thursday morning.
- 0:20Speaker 4: Ben Ferguson with it's nice to have you on the
- 0:22Speaker 4: forty seven Morning Update, and there's three major stories we're
- 0:25Speaker 4: dealing with. First up, Donald Trump to sign a major
- 0:29Speaker 4: order shutting down the Department of Education. I have the
- 0:33Speaker 4: details in just a moment. Also, a major win for
- 0:36Speaker 4: American consumers with gas and egg prices coming down quickly.
- 0:40Speaker 4: What caused it and will this have an effect on
- 0:43Speaker 4: other products that in a moment. And finally, Donald Trump
- 0:46Speaker 4: moves to get rid of well major debt issues in
- 0:49Speaker 4: this country with the introduction of golden visas, and he
- 0:53Speaker 4: explains exactly how to work. It's the forty seven Morning
- 0:56Speaker 4: Update and it starts right now.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Story number one is another promise.
- 1:01Speaker 4: That Donald Trump made to the American people, We're going
- 1:04Speaker 4: to get rid of the Department of Education because they're
- 1:06Speaker 4: doing a terrible job and they're not actually educating our kids.
- 1:11Speaker 4: In fact, we are the lowest ranking in many categories
- 1:14Speaker 4: of industrialized nations. And that is why Donald Trump today
- 1:18Speaker 4: is going to sign an order to shut down the
- 1:21Speaker 4: Department of Education. Now, to be clear, as the left
- 1:24Speaker 4: is already fear mongering over this, this doesn't mean that
- 1:27Speaker 4: any child in a public school is not going to
- 1:30Speaker 4: be able to go to a school. He's made it
- 1:32Speaker 4: clear it is time to hand this responsibility back over
- 1:35Speaker 4: to the states so the states can do what is
- 1:38Speaker 4: right for the students in their state. The President also
- 1:42Speaker 4: said that many of the people that are working at
- 1:45Speaker 4: the Department of Education, well they're not even showing up
- 1:48Speaker 4: for work or doing their job at all.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Take a listen.
- 1:51Speaker 1: The Department of Educations may be more so than any
- 1:55Speaker 1: other place, has a lot of people. They can be
- 1:58Speaker 1: cut the number one not showing up to work. Number two,
- 2:01Speaker 1: they're not doing a good job. And if you take
- 2:04Speaker 1: a look at take a look at our education process,
- 2:08Speaker 1: and if you look at the charts, because they have
- 2:10Speaker 1: numerous charts where they do the top forty. We're at
- 2:13Speaker 1: number thirty seven, thirty eight, thirty nine, and forty. And
- 2:17Speaker 1: recently they hit during Biden's last few days. They hit last,
- 2:21Speaker 1: so they were number forty, and yet we're number one
- 2:24Speaker 1: in costs per pupil. So it's pretty bad. But we
- 2:29Speaker 1: have a dream, and you know what the dream is.
- 2:30Speaker 1: We're gonna move the Department of Education. We're gonna move
- 2:33Speaker 1: education into the states so that the states instead of
- 2:37Speaker 1: bureaucrats working in Washington, so that the states can run education.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And you have Norway, you have Denmark of Sweden, you
- 2:45Speaker 1: have various Finland, you have various countries that do very well.
- 2:49Speaker 1: You also have China that does very well in education,
- 2:52Speaker 1: which is a pretty big tribute to China. I must
- 2:54Speaker 1: say one point four billion, and they're in the top ten.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Pretty amazing. So we can't blame size anymore. You know,
- 3:03Speaker 1: normally you'd blame size. It's too big, how can you
- 3:06Speaker 1: do it? But China does it. So we think when
- 3:09Speaker 1: you move it back to Iowa and Indiana and all
- 3:13Speaker 1: the states that run so well, there's so many I
- 3:16Speaker 1: could name thirty, maybe almost forty, those will be as
- 3:21Speaker 1: good as Denmark. Those will be as good as Norway,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and they'll be as good as any of these. I
- 3:26Speaker 1: believe they'll be as good as any Now then you're
- 3:28Speaker 1: gonna have ten that won't be so great. You're gonna
- 3:31Speaker 1: have five that will not be good at all. But
- 3:33Speaker 1: we'll work with them and we'll get them to be good.
- 3:36Speaker 1: But what we want to do is always school choice.
- 3:39Speaker 1: But we're gonna do school choice, and we're doing it.
- 3:41Speaker 1: But we want education to be moved back where the
- 3:44Speaker 1: states run education, where the parents of the children will
- 3:49Speaker 1: be running education, where governors that are doing a very
- 3:52Speaker 1: good job, we'll be running education, not run I drive
- 3:57Speaker 1: through the city and I see like so many buildings,
- 4:00Speaker 1: Department of Education, Department of big buildings, the department and
- 4:04Speaker 1: by the way, they're empty. Nobody shows up to work.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Nobody shows up to work.
- 4:08Speaker 4: This is why the President is saying it is time
- 4:10Speaker 4: to overhaul the system and save Americans a ton of
- 4:14Speaker 4: money and give it back to the states where they
- 4:16Speaker 4: can run the system better and have better test scores
- 4:20Speaker 4: and test results. Now you also heard the President talk
- 4:23Speaker 4: about school choice. It is something that he is a
- 4:26Speaker 4: huge advocate for. Now, the order I'm being told from
- 4:30Speaker 4: the White House directs the Education Secretary, Linda McMahon to quote,
- 4:34Speaker 4: take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the
- 4:38Speaker 4: Department of Education and return education authority to the States,
- 4:43Speaker 4: while continuing to ensure the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services, programs,
- 4:49Speaker 4: and benefits on which Americans rely. It also mandates that
- 4:54Speaker 4: any program or activities receiving remaining Department of Education fund
- 5:00Speaker 4: should not advance DEI or gender ideology. The President making
- 5:05Speaker 4: it clear, this is about educating our kids. Now, get
- 5:10Speaker 4: ready to watch many states move like never before to
- 5:14Speaker 4: advocate for school choice. And if you're in favor of
- 5:17Speaker 4: school choice, now is the time to go to work
- 5:20Speaker 4: on your elected officials in your state, because this could
- 5:24Speaker 4: totally transform education for countless kids all over America.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Now story number two, Donald.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Trump promised when he was elected that he was going
- 5:34Speaker 4: to do everything he could to bring prices that had
- 5:36Speaker 4: gotten out of control back down for American consumers.
- 5:40Speaker 3: For American families.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Two of the big things that American families need is
- 5:45Speaker 4: gas for their cars and eggs to feed their family. Well,
- 5:49Speaker 4: we now have some very big news. The average host
- 5:53Speaker 4: sale price per dozen eggs has dropped to three dollars
- 5:57Speaker 4: and ten cents. How significant is that it is down
- 6:01Speaker 4: forty seven percent from six fifty five per dozen from
- 6:07Speaker 4: January the twenty first of this year. The White House
- 6:11Speaker 4: is now stated The White House on March the seventeenth,
- 6:14Speaker 4: announced this drop in egg and gasoline prices, calling it
- 6:18Speaker 4: a win for not only the Trump Administration's economic agenda,
- 6:22Speaker 4: but for the American people that have been hurting for.
- 6:25Speaker 3: So long now.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Egg prices had soared in recent months, reaching an average
- 6:30Speaker 4: high of four dollars and ninety five cents per dozen
- 6:32Speaker 4: in January that according to the Department of Labor, and
- 6:36Speaker 4: then from January of twenty twenty four to January twenty
- 6:39Speaker 4: twenty five, egg prices increased by fifty four percent. My
- 6:43Speaker 4: primary reason for the skyrocking prices is the avian influenza
- 6:48Speaker 4: avian flu, which has led to the calling of tens
- 6:52Speaker 4: of millions of egg laying hens in recent months. This
- 6:56Speaker 4: is something that was actually talked about by the USDA
- 6:59Speaker 4: Secretary Kay Rowlands in a recent interview, but saying that
- 7:03Speaker 4: it was time for someone to take charge since the
- 7:06Speaker 4: Biden administration refused to do it.
- 7:09Speaker 5: A long way to go listen. Combating the av and
- 7:11Speaker 5: bird flu is not something that we can do overnight.
- 7:15Speaker 5: It is a long term effort. But the Biden administration,
- 7:18Speaker 5: this was a major problem that they had two years ago.
- 7:22Speaker 5: They talked about it, they wrote some plans about it,
- 7:25Speaker 5: and then nothing ever happened. So I think that it
- 7:28Speaker 5: is really important to know and for your viewers that
- 7:30Speaker 5: we are on it. We have a major plan we've
- 7:33Speaker 5: rolled out. As you mentioned, it's got five different points,
- 7:35Speaker 5: but the really piece of at least right now today
- 7:38Speaker 5: good news is that the price of eggs seemed to
- 7:40Speaker 5: be coming down, and dollar eighty five per carton is
- 7:42Speaker 5: not insignificant, but we've got a long way to go now.
- 7:45Speaker 4: The US Department of Agriculture said last month that more
- 7:48Speaker 4: than twenty three million birds were cold in January to
- 7:51Speaker 4: contain the virus, and that followed more than eighteen million
- 7:55Speaker 4: in December of twenty twenty four that were put down
- 7:58Speaker 4: as well. Several weeks ago, the USDA also warned that
- 8:01Speaker 4: egg prices could jump by more than.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Forty percent this year.
- 8:05Speaker 4: But as you just heard there from the Agricultural Secretary,
- 8:08Speaker 4: nothing is going to stand in the way of doing
- 8:11Speaker 4: everything they can for the prices to continue to come down.
- 8:15Speaker 4: So Let's move to the other big issue, and that
- 8:18Speaker 4: is dealing with a nationwide average for gas, and that
- 8:21Speaker 4: has declined for four straight weeks and down forty two
- 8:24Speaker 4: cents from one year ago. The White House pointed to
- 8:27Speaker 4: data is showing that the average for a gallon of
- 8:30Speaker 4: gas is now under three dollars at two ninety nine
- 8:33Speaker 4: or less at more than two thirds of all gas stations.
- 8:37Speaker 4: The Trump administration has faced some blowback in recent days
- 8:41Speaker 4: over its economic policies. The left continues to attack, particularly
- 8:46Speaker 4: their tariffs and the declines in the Dall Jones Industrial
- 8:49Speaker 4: Average and Nasdaq. But the White House saying, we are
- 8:52Speaker 4: staying the course, understanding that there is going to be
- 8:55Speaker 4: tough days for America to have a major recorrect on price,
- 9:00Speaker 4: and tariffs are going to help us get that done.
- 9:03Speaker 4: When it comes to the issue of gasoline, the President
- 9:06Speaker 4: is saying, drill, baby, drill, making it clear that we're
- 9:09Speaker 4: not going to be held hostage by the Middle East
- 9:12Speaker 4: or any other nation, that America has more than enough
- 9:15Speaker 4: resources to take care of itself and to lower prices
- 9:18Speaker 4: for all Americans. Yet again, another promise from the President
- 9:23Speaker 4: that egg prices would come down and the gasoline prices
- 9:26Speaker 4: will come down, paying off in the first two months
- 9:29Speaker 4: in office.
- 9:30Speaker 2: And here is story number three.
- 9:32Speaker 4: One of the core issues the President of the United
- 9:34Speaker 4: States of America said he believes is his job now
- 9:37Speaker 4: is to cut government waste, fraud, and abuse, and to
- 9:40Speaker 4: deal with our out of control federal deficit, which is
- 9:43Speaker 4: in the trillions of dollars. Donald Trump is also looking
- 9:47Speaker 4: at ways to bring more money into the country and
- 9:50Speaker 4: one way he says we can do it is by
- 9:52Speaker 4: having a five million dollar payment to our government for
- 9:57Speaker 4: a golden visa. Believes that this is a major opportunity
- 10:02Speaker 4: for America to pay down our debt. Now, he was
- 10:06Speaker 4: talking with Laura Ingram on Fox News Channel about these visas,
- 10:10Speaker 4: and this is what he wanted the American people to know.
- 10:13Speaker 6: The Golden visa, which you also you're obviously backing, probably
- 10:18Speaker 6: is going to have to go through Congress. We'll see
- 10:19Speaker 6: if they actually do that. But five million dollar investment
- 10:23Speaker 6: from a foreigner coming into the United States, why should
- 10:27Speaker 6: our citizenship be purchased for any amount of money, especially
- 10:31Speaker 6: given the fact that you're America first, Given the types
- 10:35Speaker 6: of people who have five million dollars to throw down
- 10:38Speaker 6: for a visa, or for a permanent residency.
- 10:41Speaker 1: That's why, because I'm America first. Because at five million dollars,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you're getting a lot of things, but you're getting five
- 10:47Speaker 1: million dollars. Let's say we sell a million of them.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That's five trillion dollars. We are now a unbelievably successful
- 10:57Speaker 1: country paying down tremendous amounts of debt. All going to
- 11:00Speaker 1: pay down debt. We're going to have very little debt.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Separate.
- 11:03Speaker 1: But if you did think of it, if you did
- 11:05Speaker 1: five million dollars. Now, generally people that can pay five
- 11:09Speaker 1: million dollars are going to be job producers. Okay, they're
- 11:12Speaker 1: going to be successful. They're going to produce jobs. But
- 11:14Speaker 1: here's another thing. Apple comes to me. A lot of
- 11:17Speaker 1: companies come to me. They say, sir, we just made
- 11:20Speaker 1: a deal to hire the number one student at the
- 11:23Speaker 1: Wharton School of Finance or at Harvard Business School or
- 11:29Speaker 1: anything else, or MIT or Stanford or anything. But they're
- 11:33Speaker 1: going to throw them out of the country the day
- 11:34Speaker 1: after graduation.
- 11:35Speaker 3: They'll buy these.
- 11:37Speaker 6: Why should any American kid become a company?
- 11:39Speaker 1: And by the way, they're going to call it either
- 11:40Speaker 1: the gold card. The problem is is mini gold cards? Well,
- 11:43Speaker 1: I will tell you what my people want to call it.
- 11:46Speaker 1: It'll drive you crazy. It'll drive the left crazy. They
- 11:49Speaker 1: want to call it the Trump card because the Trump
- 11:51Speaker 1: card sells much better than the Gold card. Everybody has
- 11:55Speaker 1: a you're.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Not worried about any unsavory people coming in and take me.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I'm worried about unsavory, in which case we'll get it,
- 12:01Speaker 1: given the money back, and they get out.
- 12:02Speaker 6: They'll be properly vetted.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Are they going to be properly vetted? But you know
- 12:06Speaker 1: what you're talking about a lot of people. I think
- 12:07Speaker 1: it's going to be very successful. If somebody's wrong, we
- 12:11Speaker 1: get we actually very very nice because it makes it
- 12:14Speaker 1: a lot easier legally. We give them that money back
- 12:16Speaker 1: and we send them.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Out one thanks for sure.
- 12:19Speaker 4: The President United States of America is looking for new
- 12:22Speaker 4: ways to bring actual cash into the United States of
- 12:25Speaker 4: America from people overseas. In other words, he's looking at
- 12:29Speaker 4: them as customers instead of all the money coming from
- 12:32Speaker 4: the American taxpayer. As for the program and the fear mongering,
- 12:36Speaker 4: many in the media are doing this, they're saying, what
- 12:38Speaker 4: if an unsavory.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Person comes in.
- 12:41Speaker 4: You just heard the President make it very clear we'll
- 12:44Speaker 4: kick him out. Maybe we'll give them a refund and
- 12:46Speaker 4: we'll move on.
