- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out to turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby, I shall will Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, man, Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I do. Man, what an amazing blessing. God has given
- 2:18Speaker 1: me my health, my strength, my will power, my dreams,
- 2:26Speaker 1: all of it. God gave it to me. I accept it.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I work hard, but man on, man on, man, I
- 2:35Speaker 1: work hard. Is something that He gave me a gift.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And that's what I want to talk to you about today,
- 2:42Speaker 1: because God has gifted everyone, so I can't help but
- 2:45Speaker 1: believe it. You are gifted in some way. Something about you.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's special and unique. Now that means that doesn't mean
- 2:55Speaker 1: you're the only one that can see? Are you the
- 2:58Speaker 1: only one that can write. Are you the only one
- 3:00Speaker 1: one that can draw, you're the only one that can decorate,
- 3:03Speaker 1: or you're the only one that can network, or you're
- 3:05Speaker 1: the only one that that's not what it means. Or
- 3:08Speaker 1: you have a great scientific mind, or you can figure
- 3:10Speaker 1: things out, or you're good at problem solving. You're not
- 3:12Speaker 1: the only one but you. But you are a unique individual.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Nobody will travel the exact path that you are on.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Nobody will have everything happened in a series of circumstances
- 3:23Speaker 1: in the order that you're going to have it happened
- 3:26Speaker 1: to you. That's what I mean when I say that
- 3:29Speaker 1: you are unique. But now because you are gifted, you
- 3:34Speaker 1: know you have something you have to do. You know,
- 3:37Speaker 1: there's a scripture. It's in Proverbs, Proverbs eighteen and sixteen.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I've been trying to be a little bit better at
- 3:44Speaker 1: that for you, you know. So when I have an
- 3:47Speaker 1: idea and I know where it is, I have somebody
- 3:50Speaker 1: looked the scripture up from it handed to me. So
- 3:53Speaker 1: it's in Proverbs eighteen sixteen. And this is the layman's
- 3:57Speaker 1: term of it. It says a man's gift make room
- 4:00Speaker 1: for him and brings him before great men. It is
- 4:05Speaker 1: your gift that will make room for you. Now, my
- 4:08Speaker 1: interpretation of this is this. Now I could be wrong.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Please go to your local church, Syner God, Temple, Mass,
- 4:14Speaker 1: whatever you do, and go get clarification. But what my
- 4:19Speaker 1: gift has done in making room for me is I've
- 4:24Speaker 1: taken it almost in the literal sense. My gift has
- 4:27Speaker 1: actually made room for me. It has made it has
- 4:30Speaker 1: cleared paths for me. My gift has opened up doors
- 4:34Speaker 1: for me. That's what I take it as. It will
- 4:36Speaker 1: make room for you. My gift has is broadened my
- 4:41Speaker 1: ability to travel. My gift has opened my eyes to fashion.
- 4:46Speaker 1: My gift has caused me to be able to provide
- 4:52Speaker 1: for my family. My gift has caused me to be
- 4:56Speaker 1: able to reach more people. That's what I'm saying in
- 4:59Speaker 1: terms of it will make room for you. That it
- 5:02Speaker 1: may be another interpretation. I'm just telling you how I
- 5:04Speaker 1: took it. Now. It's worked out pretty good for me
- 5:07Speaker 1: to that understanding. But I'm pretty sure Bishop Jake's, Joel Oldstein,
- 5:11Speaker 1: Kenneth for Almah, you know, God, Glenn Staples, Bishop Glenn Stables,
- 5:16Speaker 1: these guys give you much better understanding of it. I'm
- 5:19Speaker 1: just giving it to you. You know way, I know
- 5:21Speaker 1: how so you know, it's kind of I don't know.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I just like to keep it right there. But and
- 5:28Speaker 1: then it says that it brings you before great men.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it's gonna take you places. It's
- 5:35Speaker 1: gonna take you places you never thought of going. You're
- 5:38Speaker 1: gonna meet people because of your gift. I told my son,
- 5:42Speaker 1: who two of them are good photographers, You'll be taking
- 5:45Speaker 1: pictures of great men. And then I messed with him.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You're already taking pictures, Say your daddy, you know what.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I'm messing with him like that. But that's just me
- 5:51Speaker 1: and them just kicking it. But you know, but one day,
- 5:53Speaker 1: who knows, you could be shooting the president. You know,
- 5:56Speaker 1: you could be shooting some foreign dignitaries. You know, you
- 5:59Speaker 1: could be shooting great sport events. You know, you never
- 6:02Speaker 1: know where it could take you. But that's your gift.
- 6:05Speaker 1: But what you gotta do is you gotta get to
- 6:07Speaker 1: moving though. See, you can't have your gift and not
- 6:10Speaker 1: do nothing with it. See. You know what that reminds
- 6:13Speaker 1: me of. It's something that my father used to say,
- 6:17Speaker 1: get up off your butt because you're sitting on a
- 6:21Speaker 1: gold mine. He say that all the time, Boy, get
- 6:24Speaker 1: up off your butt and move it, because you're sitting
- 6:27Speaker 1: on a gold mine. I never really quite got that
- 6:29Speaker 1: when I was little, but now that I'm an adult,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I got it full well. See, a lot of you
- 6:34Speaker 1: are sitting on a gold mine. You're sitting on a
- 6:37Speaker 1: talent or a gift that you have. You're sitting on
- 6:41Speaker 1: an ability. I don't care if it's making cakes or pies,
- 6:44Speaker 1: you know, I don't care. That's a gift, man. That's
- 6:48Speaker 1: a talent. I don't care. If it's the ability to
- 6:50Speaker 1: do hell on your kitchen, on your back porch, that's
- 6:54Speaker 1: a gift. Man. Half of you are gifted. A lot
- 6:57Speaker 1: of us are gifted, and we're sitting on it looking
- 7:01Speaker 1: at other people, wondering what can I do to make it?
- 7:04Speaker 1: You already got something to make it with if you
- 7:07Speaker 1: would just get up off your behind, man, quits sitting
- 7:10Speaker 1: on that gold mine. Some of you are tech savvy,
- 7:14Speaker 1: just a whiz is when it comes to engineering and
- 7:17Speaker 1: putting stuff together and cables and wires and computers and stuff.
- 7:21Speaker 1: And now you steady looking around trying to figure out, Man,
- 7:24Speaker 1: wonder what I can go do? Go do that? How
- 7:28Speaker 1: about you go do that you know. It ain't that
- 7:32Speaker 1: hard man, if you would just taking note of what
- 7:35Speaker 1: God has given you already. He has given you a
- 7:38Speaker 1: gift already. He has already given you a talent. Now
- 7:42Speaker 1: the fact that you ain't using it and you sitting
- 7:45Speaker 1: on your tail somewhere now, who fathers what we're talking about? Well?
- 7:51Speaker 1: What you you blaming God for that? I'm man. I
- 7:55Speaker 1: tell you what. I sit around people all the time
- 7:58Speaker 1: who are gifted, and I'm looking at their gifts, and
- 8:02Speaker 1: they steady complaining about what they don't have, but will
- 8:06Speaker 1: not get up off there behind and use the gifts
- 8:10Speaker 1: that God gave them. And it's frustrating. It's frustrating. It's
- 8:14Speaker 1: gotta be frustrating for you if you're doing it, because
- 8:17Speaker 1: it's frustrating for me when I see it. So when
- 8:20Speaker 1: these people come to me and ask me for help,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I just keep going the same thing over and over.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Help yourself, man, do for you use your gift. It's
- 8:28Speaker 1: a cat sitting behind the wall right now that's locked up.
- 8:32Speaker 1: That's so good at artistry. It's catch in that tattoo
- 8:36Speaker 1: and everybody, Man, get out do it the right way.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Quit selling drugs. Man, you ain't going nowhere's selling no drugs.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You're going to jail. Saw you going to jail, man.
- 8:48Speaker 1: And if that don't do it, somebody gonna get tired
- 8:50Speaker 1: of you selling drugs because they're gonna want to sell
- 8:52Speaker 1: them over and they're gonna kill you. Let's just keep
- 8:54Speaker 1: this thing real for just a second. Here, Come on, man,
- 8:59Speaker 1: get up off your but because you're sitting on the
- 9:01Speaker 1: gold mine, and you're sitting up here, somebody always looking
- 9:04Speaker 1: for a shortcut to the top. Ain't no shortcut. Somebody
- 9:07Speaker 1: told me this the other day. Man. The road to
- 9:10Speaker 1: success is always under construction. It ain't paved, it ain't
- 9:16Speaker 1: free of barrels. It's got detour signs on it. It's
- 9:21Speaker 1: got slow men working. It's got delays. Sometimes they flipped
- 9:27Speaker 1: the stop sign. You gotta sit there and wait. Sometimes
- 9:30Speaker 1: they got slow. There's traffic. That's accidents. Somebody on the
- 9:35Speaker 1: road holding up things with a flat tie. Sometimes you
- 9:38Speaker 1: get a flat tie. It's nails, it's gravels, this spike,
- 9:42Speaker 1: it's everything. The road to success is always under construction.
- 9:47Speaker 1: It ain't getting ready to be easy just because you
- 9:50Speaker 1: didn't decided to do it. But don't sit around on
- 9:52Speaker 1: your behind and complain all the time about what you
- 9:55Speaker 1: don't have. My daddy said it, Man, get up off
- 9:58Speaker 1: your butt because you sitting on a gold mine. You
- 10:01Speaker 1: got a gift, you got a talent, You got something
- 10:05Speaker 1: that you can do that could make a way for you,
- 10:08Speaker 1: but you won't do it. It is within you. Stop
- 10:11Speaker 1: looking around. Here's where people waste the most time on
- 10:14Speaker 1: the road to success, looking around as somebody else trying
- 10:18Speaker 1: to figure out, Man, how can I do what they did?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Do what you do? You ain't jay Z, You ain't sorry.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I got a couple of your homies told you you
- 10:30Speaker 1: rap better than him, But you're not jay Z. Really
- 10:33Speaker 1: you're not. You know, all of us can shot at him,
- 10:36Speaker 1: but we ain't Richard Pryor a nice shot Steve Bernie Dierre,
- 10:41Speaker 1: all of we took some great shots at it. We're
- 10:44Speaker 1: not him. Do what you can do. Do you do
- 10:49Speaker 1: your gift quick, complaining about what you don't have. Get
- 10:52Speaker 1: up off your butt because you're sitting on a gold mine.
- 10:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, get ready to get
- 11:03Speaker 1: ready to get better, get ready to get ready, get better,

- 12:44Speaker 1: me and I speak to the people who are out
- 12:47Speaker 1: there who feel the same way I do. Like I
- 12:49Speaker 1: said them, it's not a happy song we have today
- 12:52Speaker 1: because there's too many, too many, too many happy songs
- 12:58Speaker 1: to getting lost in the shuffle. It's time for a
- 13:02Speaker 1: sad song. This is how you get into it. You
- 13:05Speaker 1: put Do you have a tree? You put your tree up?
- 13:07Speaker 1: Do you put lights up? You decorate? Do you do
- 13:10Speaker 1: any of that? Have green cone? You have the smell
- 13:14Speaker 1: of pine and stuff going through your house? Candy kany,
- 13:18Speaker 1: start baking? Oh, I'm decorated? Lights outside, Christmas music, sick,
- 13:27Speaker 1: come on singing, ja outside brightening? But Jake, but a tree?
- 13:33Speaker 1: Do you at least have a tree? I don't have

- 13:38Speaker 1: Two trees, Ja, I got two? You got two trees? Yeah?
- 13:43Speaker 1: I have one in our fourier and then one in
- 13:45Speaker 1: the din, the smaller one in then and Natasha decorates

- 15:46Speaker 1: with fantastic. This year was fantastic for me. Uh another

- 16:00Speaker 1: Yeah it was how many? How many words was that?
- 16:05Speaker 1: Let's see? Uh, I got to travel travel. I traveled

- 16:16Speaker 1: happiness good, very happy this year, very current, complete opposite
- 16:21Speaker 1: of my year, completely in every way. But I'm still standing.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And that's that's all thanks to God. I got through.

- 17:05Speaker 1: still say horny because you ain't been there. If you've
- 17:09Speaker 1: been there, you'll say that I just haven't heard it.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I just haven't Okay, okay, three more jay horny, horny, stressful, stressful, um, um, grateful,

- 17:37Speaker 1: That's one one. That's four and blessing. Okay, yeah, you
- 17:42Speaker 1: got rid of your two hornies. You wouldn't be stressful
- 17:47Speaker 1: and your blessed because you're still standing. All right, all right,

- 19:08Speaker 1: most of my life not to get bitten by a bug. Okay,
- 19:11Speaker 1: that's what I want. I don't do it. I don't
- 19:20Speaker 1: go out. And La normally doesn't have a lot of bugs.
- 19:23Speaker 1: We really don't. We have spiders and ants, but we
- 19:26Speaker 1: don't have like your typical mosquito and fly and things
- 19:29Speaker 1: like that. Gnats, we don't have that. But this year
- 19:32Speaker 1: it has been that. But I don't go will take
- 19:38Speaker 1: you down. I'm talking about carry you to your grain
- 19:44Speaker 1: to drive around and look for people. Yes, that's so

- 19:54Speaker 1: Chicago growing up. And we were all kinds of bugs
- 19:57Speaker 1: in Chicago, New York. Yeah, you know, I got in
- 20:02Speaker 1: Chicago and I did not know it until the nineties
- 20:06Speaker 1: when I was there in the nineties. The them them
- 20:09Speaker 1: bugs are light up just made my dad bugs. We
- 20:14Speaker 1: don't have that in Texas, you know. I was like, wow,
- 20:17Speaker 1: this is amazing. Yeah. And and ladybugs. We had a
- 20:20Speaker 1: lot of ladybugs. Ladybugs, but butterflies. But okay, surely don't
- 20:25Speaker 1: laughing what call it, don't lay? I thought if I
- 20:30Speaker 1: touched one them bugs, I might get electrocuted. I did
- 20:35Speaker 1: that was an old wives. Still it was okay, but
- 20:38Speaker 1: we used to put They used to put them in jars,
- 20:40Speaker 1: you know, yeah, yeah, put them in jar, something cruel.
- 20:43Speaker 1: They tear the butt off and stick it on your head.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Then has kids used to do that and they would
- 20:47Speaker 1: light up? You had a very interesting child. Put that
- 20:53Speaker 1: out there, Jay, put it on your head? Huh? All right?
- 21:04Speaker 1: He Jay, all right, listen. Go to Steve Harvey FM,

- 21:17Speaker 1: get to that later on in the morning. Who said what?
- 21:20Speaker 1: It's a segment from Jay. Yes, all right, prank phone
- 21:23Speaker 1: call from the nephew coming up right after this. You're
- 21:26Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at
- 21:30Speaker 1: the top of the hour and entertainment news. The Rock
- 21:33Speaker 1: and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have been announced and Sierra,
- 21:37Speaker 1: We love Sierra. Sierra wants court ordered. I'll tell you
- 21:43Speaker 1: why I'm laughing in a minute, Sierra wants court ordered
- 21:46Speaker 1: mediation for future junior. But right now it is time
- 21:49Speaker 1: to run that prank back. I gotta tell you why
- 21:51Speaker 1: I was laughing, because when I first looked at that word,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I thought it said medication. Sierra wants court ordered medication

- 33:31Speaker 1: busy schedules. Okay, so they're trying. The boy don't want
- 33:36Speaker 1: to miss football season. I mean we're missing the Sea Hall.
- 33:44Speaker 1: All right, Gary Wilson, We're moving on. Jay, It's time
- 33:48Speaker 1: for today's headlines. Here we go headlines and trip. Y'all
- 33:53Speaker 1: very very much, And unfortunately I'm starting out with sad news.
- 34:04Speaker 1: You're so late. Nancy Wilson, Free time Grammy Award winning
- 34:08Speaker 1: artist has passed away. Nancy Wilson was eighty one years old.
- 34:12Speaker 1: This is what her manager has announced this morning. Miss
- 34:15Speaker 1: Wilson passed away peacefully, they say, Thursday, at her home
- 34:18Speaker 1: after a long illness. Nancy Wilson was from Chillicothe, Ohio.
- 34:22Speaker 1: She initially focused on R and B music, would later
- 34:24Speaker 1: excel to jazz, ballots and torch songs. She made her
- 34:27Speaker 1: debut in her nineteen sixty one single guests Who I
- 34:30Speaker 1: Saw Today. Her biggest hit came in nineteen sixty four
- 34:33Speaker 1: with You Don't Know How Glad I Am, which rose
- 34:35Speaker 1: through the charts to number eleven spot on Billboard's Hot

- 34:40Speaker 1: Best R and B Recording. She's won so many and
- 34:43Speaker 1: so many beautiful performances. John Legend reacted to Wilson's passing
- 34:48Speaker 1: on Twitter with great sadness again, starting out with this
- 34:51Speaker 1: sad note, the great Nancy Wilson has passed away. She
- 34:54Speaker 1: was eighty one years old. As a nation's latest budget
- 34:59Speaker 1: deadline approaches, looks like the President's still sticking by his
- 35:01Speaker 1: demand for five billion more dollars to build a campaign
- 35:05Speaker 1: promise border wall and threatening to shut down the government
- 35:07Speaker 1: a few days from now if the Congress doesn't authorize
- 35:10Speaker 1: the money he wants. Trump's claiming again that Mexico is
- 35:12Speaker 1: going to end up paying forward with the savings he
- 35:15Speaker 1: says extracted by the former NAFTA deal, which is now
- 35:18Speaker 1: called USMCA. However, the expected incoming speaker of a House
- 35:22Speaker 1: in January, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, seems to feel Trump may
- 35:25Speaker 1: not really understand how trade agreement's work. Basically what he's
- 35:28Speaker 1: saying and he benefited our economy might have from a
- 35:31Speaker 1: trade agreement. A revised trade agreement would be spent on
- 35:36Speaker 1: the wall instead of growing our economy and increasing paychecks
- 35:41Speaker 1: for our workers. The American people are still paying the price,
- 35:45Speaker 1: and Pelosi says that a partial shutdown of the government
- 35:47Speaker 1: would actually cost the US billions of dollars. The deadline
- 35:50Speaker 1: for the Congress to agree in a budget to avoid
- 35:52Speaker 1: all of this. December twenty first fast Approaching right admitted
- 35:55Speaker 1: Russian operative Maria Boudinoff has become the first from her
- 35:58Speaker 1: country to acknowledge being part of Moscow's political influence campaign
- 36:02Speaker 1: during the twenty sixteen election. Botnoff entered a federal court
- 36:05Speaker 1: yesterday and pled guilty to mount to mounting a campaign
- 36:08Speaker 1: to influence top Republicans. She said she did buy a
- 36:11Speaker 1: using connection with the National Rifle Association and the National
- 36:14Speaker 1: Prayer Breakfast. Noof has agreed to cooperate with the US prosecutors.
- 36:18Speaker 1: She expected to spend less than six months in prison
- 36:21Speaker 1: if she's sent behind bars at all, and then she's
- 36:23Speaker 1: supposed to be deported back to Russia. Judge selected February twelfth,
- 36:26Speaker 1: if we're at a hearing to assess her value when
- 36:28Speaker 1: it comes to the ongoing investigation. Finally, the copyright lawsuit
- 36:34Speaker 1: filed over the song Blurred Lines has finally been settled.
- 36:37Speaker 1: A California federal judge has entered a five million dollar
- 36:40Speaker 1: judgment against Robin Thick and Farrell Williamson in favor of
- 36:43Speaker 1: the family of the late Great Marvin Gay. Back to
- 36:47Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Boarding Show, everybody you're listening to show.
- 36:52Speaker 1: If you need health insurance, please listen up. Okay. Individuals
- 36:56Speaker 1: and families who buy their own insurance have until this
- 37:00Speaker 1: coming Saturday, December fifteenth in most states to sign up
- 37:05Speaker 1: for Obamacare. All right, it's a word we haven't heard
- 37:08Speaker 1: in a long time because they've been trying to destroy it.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Are you shocked that you didn't know about tomorrow's deadline? Well,
- 37:15Speaker 1: you are not alone. President Trump has cut funding for
- 37:18Speaker 1: the Affordable Care Act you know, we like to call
- 37:21Speaker 1: it Obamacare advertising, of course, an outreach media campaigns. The
- 37:26Speaker 1: Trump administration has cut advertising funding by ninety percent. He
- 37:30Speaker 1: did that in twenty seventeen. President Obama, if you recall
- 37:35Speaker 1: earlier this week, did a video reminding everyone about tomorrow's
- 37:38Speaker 1: urgent deadline on social media. All right, so you can
- 37:42Speaker 1: go to healthcare dot gov to sign up. Got it, guys,
- 37:46Speaker 1: healthcare dot gov to sign up. Yes, it's still available
- 37:50Speaker 1: for you. It's been tomorrow. A lot of people, a
- 37:53Speaker 1: lot of people. Absolutely, I got I got three children.
- 37:58Speaker 1: We have used so much in this past year. If
- 38:02Speaker 1: I didn't had that, oh my god, can you imagine?
- 38:08Speaker 1: But think about this, what if you had a pre
- 38:10Speaker 1: existing condition? What if you had a child, a loved
- 38:13Speaker 1: one with a pre existing condition and didn't have healthcare.
- 38:17Speaker 1: So this president, mister Trump, who's trying so hard to
- 38:21Speaker 1: cut funding and get the word out about the deadline,
- 38:24Speaker 1: he doesn't care about American citizens that need healthcare to
- 38:28Speaker 1: help their family members and children. Man, he is so
- 38:31Speaker 1: petty and the right you're still right, And they never
- 38:34Speaker 1: came up with a viable alternative. Okay, you want to
- 38:37Speaker 1: cut Obamacare and replace it with what Yeah. Right. So
- 38:42Speaker 1: in the video and in the video that the President
- 38:45Speaker 1: President Obama did, he said, spread the word. We can
- 38:48Speaker 1: help save people lives. So just like you just said, Tommy,
- 38:52Speaker 1: it's our obligation to let everybody know about this deadline.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It's tomorrow tomorrow. The saddest thing you ever want to
- 38:58Speaker 1: see is go and see people getting medication and they
- 39:01Speaker 1: don't have enough money, and so they vation out. Yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 1: and he said, well, I'll get six of these and
- 39:06Speaker 1: three because they don't have the money, Well, can you
- 39:08Speaker 1: get a pool bottle? Appeals? No, they don't have it. Ye,
- 39:11Speaker 1: elderly people go through that when I was young. Again. Yeah,
- 39:16Speaker 1: it's literally so again, go sign up, do it now

- 54:27Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, my boyfriend and I are not compatible at all.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I am not sure why I keep trying to make
- 54:33Speaker 1: our relationship work. He says he loves me. I love him,
- 54:37Speaker 1: but I'm not as in love with him as I
- 54:40Speaker 1: used to be. We've been together five years and we
- 54:43Speaker 1: have two children, but we argue so much We're completely
- 54:48Speaker 1: opposite of each other. He likes rap, I like R
- 54:50Speaker 1: and B. I'm educated, he's not. I'm a goal achiever.
- 54:54Speaker 1: He just creates goals and never follows through with them.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I cook, he eats. I have a car, he doesn't.
- 55:01Speaker 1: He likes hanging with his family. I would rather go
- 55:03Speaker 1: on dates with just him. He refuses to compromise on
- 55:07Speaker 1: what he likes to do, so we end up doing
- 55:10Speaker 1: whatever he wants to do. I can't stand his family
- 55:14Speaker 1: because they are not positive role models for my children,
- 55:17Speaker 1: but I let them go over there as much as possible.
- 55:20Speaker 1: I've been forced to do things that go against my morals,
- 55:24Speaker 1: but I've done it for this man. I feel like
- 55:27Speaker 1: I'm losing myself and turning into a whole different kind
- 55:30Speaker 1: of woman. I have told him that I'm not happy,
- 55:33Speaker 1: and I suggested counseling, but he says he says counseling
- 55:38Speaker 1: is for white people. Now I find myself yelling at
- 55:46Speaker 1: him more and more, and I can't find a nice
- 55:48Speaker 1: way to express myself anymore. Is it me or him
- 55:52Speaker 1: that's the problem. I wanted to work out so we
- 55:54Speaker 1: can remain together for the children, but I also realize
- 55:58Speaker 1: that I don't really know this man. I didn't really
- 56:01Speaker 1: know this man before I fell in love with him.
- 56:03Speaker 1: I'm feeling stuck and unhappy. Do you think this man
- 56:06Speaker 1: can change? Or should I move on and find happiness
- 56:09Speaker 1: with someone else i'm compatible with. Yes, move on and
- 56:12Speaker 1: find someone else you're compatible with if you want to
- 56:14Speaker 1: be happy, because this isn't the guy. He's not that guy.
- 56:19Speaker 1: He's just not all right. You guys have nothing in
- 56:22Speaker 1: common but the children, and you have two children no
- 56:27Speaker 1: positive role models around them. You've changed as a woman
- 56:31Speaker 1: dealing with this man. You're just letting him bring you down. Okay,
- 56:35Speaker 1: you're not. You've lost yourself in this guy. He's not
- 56:39Speaker 1: the guy for you. You need to realize that before
- 56:43Speaker 1: you know it gets too late. You don't need to
- 56:45Speaker 1: continue in this relationship with him. You find yourself yelling
- 56:49Speaker 1: at him more and more. You can you can't find
- 56:53Speaker 1: a nice way to express yourself anymore. Is it me
- 56:56Speaker 1: or him? That's the problem, you ask? It is you?
- 57:00Speaker 1: It's you because you keep allowing this and you won't
- 57:02Speaker 1: recognize that nothing is going to help this situation. You
- 57:07Speaker 1: want to go to counseling. He doesn't. He thinks it's
- 57:09Speaker 1: for white people. You know, I do suggest you go
- 57:12Speaker 1: to counseling on your own to figure some of this
- 57:15Speaker 1: stuff out. You say you're feeling stuck and unhappy. Why
- 57:19Speaker 1: continue to feel like that? Why he's not trying to
- 57:22Speaker 1: help you at all. You already said he doesn't compromise.
- 57:25Speaker 1: He likes to spend time with his family. He sounds
- 57:27Speaker 1: very immature to me. And you're raising two children, so
- 57:30Speaker 1: you're gonna have to realize and decide what you're going
- 57:35Speaker 1: to do for your children. Your children are the most
- 57:37Speaker 1: important thing, you know, in this relationship. You got to
- 57:42Speaker 1: figure out what's the best thing to do for your children.
- 57:45Speaker 1: I think it's to separate from this guy. You're not
- 57:48Speaker 1: even married to him, but you know, do your own thing,
- 57:52Speaker 1: get your own apartment, you know, give the children some
- 57:56Speaker 1: stability in life. That's what they need. They don't want
- 58:00Speaker 1: to be sitting around with people that aren't role models
- 58:03Speaker 1: for them. To hear you guys arguing all the time, No,
- 58:06Speaker 1: don't compromise anymore. This meant can this man change? Yeah,
- 58:11Speaker 1: everybody can change, but you can't change him. That's what
- 58:14Speaker 1: you need to understand. You can't change him. Should you
- 58:17Speaker 1: move on and find happiness with someone else. Yes, please do,
- 58:20Speaker 1: please do, because you're not happy and you're feeling stuck. Jay. Finally, finally, finally, finally,
- 58:28Speaker 1: I found a friend. Someone who doesn't want to go anywhere,
- 58:31Speaker 1: don't want to do anything, A nice guy who just
- 58:34Speaker 1: wants to in the house and be alone. He don't
- 58:38Speaker 1: like Christmas, he don't like New Years, he don't like Thanksgiving.
- 58:42Speaker 1: He's my buddy. Man, Calm me up. We can do
- 58:46Speaker 1: nothing together. Come right here, man, call a dude. Calm
- 58:51Speaker 1: me up. Man, what you're doing nothing? What you're doing?
- 58:53Speaker 1: I ain't doing a damn thing. See later. I love
- 58:56Speaker 1: this guy you cameling to Jay. I love this guy.
- 59:03Speaker 1: And my first nominee inducted to the Grubby Hall of
- 59:07Speaker 1: Fame is this guy right here. Man, keep doing you.
- 59:12Speaker 1: That's what life is all about. You're not doing your
- 59:15Speaker 1: best life. I love it. Jay. Do you feel the
- 59:20Speaker 1: same way about counseling as your new buddy, No conseling
- 59:23Speaker 1: for black people? Yeah? Well that one I take back.
- 59:31Speaker 1: A lot of black people need to be in counseling
- 59:35Speaker 1: in that right. I get brother, and that my life. Yeah. Yeah,
- 59:43Speaker 1: it's for all people. If you need it, go get it.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Please he's not on her side at all, absolutely not. Yeah,
- 59:51Speaker 1: I'm sorry, no, no, no, I was gonna bring Tommy
- 59:53Speaker 1: in this as well. Come on, Tommy. Well you know,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: as though I have a ready to love show, I
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: have to give some device here. I have to How
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: much time do I have? Yeah, you have a little
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: over a minute. Okay, let me start, Let me at
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: least start. Everything that you have done is out of order.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: You didn't do things in order. You fell for this man. Then,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: all of a sudden, y'all living together. Now, all of
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: a sudden, y'all got some kids. You didn't take time
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to see if if y'all were compatible. You didn't take
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: time to hey, why don't we fall in love and
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: maybe getting married? Then have some children. Everything you have
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: done is out of order. Now you found out exactly
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: who this man is and realize you don't like him.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: You didn't take time and at the beginning to see
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: if you all were compatible. Am I gonna fall in
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: love with this man? Do I just like him for this?
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Or do I just like him for that? You didn't
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: give him. You gotta give everybody time to let the
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: real don't come out. Now you're seeing the real person
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: and now it's too late. Now you gotta figure out
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: what you're gonna do. And I'm with sure to move
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: somewhere on your own. And what you might want to
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: do is get on my next season. Are ready to love?
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: And let me find you somebody. Yeah, she's they've been
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: together for five years. They don't need to spend any
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: more time. Uh, you know, going down or yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you're you're absolutely right. And with the two children, uh,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: you know, you're arguing so much in front of the kids,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: around the kids. Then you know, you let them go
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: with his family so much, and they're not good role models.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: You gotta get out of this situation. It's bad for you,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: it's bad for your kids. It's just bad. Yeah. Well,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: let for two of the Strawberry Letters, subject love is
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: not enough for Me? At twenty three after the hour
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: All right, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters, subject love is
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: not enough for Me. A young woman wrote this. Well,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: I'm assuming she's a young woman. They did not give
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: their ages, but just based on what she wrote, I'm
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: assuming they're possibly in their twenties. She says she has
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: a boyfriend. They've been together. They're not compatible at all,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: and she's not sure why she keeps making wants to
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: make their relationship work. He says he loves her. She
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: loves him, but she's not as in love with him
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: as she used to be. Again. They've been together for
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: five years, but they have nothing in common except the
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: two children. They argue so much. They're completely opposite. He
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: likes raps, she likes R and B. She's educated, he's not.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: She writes her goals down. She's an achiever. He just
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: creates goals and never follows through. He eats, she cooks.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: She has a car, he does not have a car.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: On and on and on. He likes hanging out with
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: his family, She likes hanging out with him, on and
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: on and on. She's been forced to do things that
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: go against her morals, she says, but she's done it
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: for this man. She's changed as a woman because of him.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: She wants to go to counseling. This guy says counseling
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: is just for white people that line right there alone
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: or random saying yeah, uh, you know. She wants to
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: know is it her or him that's a problem. She
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: wants to work it out so they can remain together
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: for the children. But she realizes that she doesn't really
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: know this man, and she didn't know him before she
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: fell in love with him. So that's the gist of
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: the letter. All right, So let's get to it. Guys, Uh,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: what are you? What are you gonna do? A reenact me?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I'm talking. I'm talking to my baby right now. Baby.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: What's up? Baby? What's up? What's you cook? The day?
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: You want? You want to do something to day? You
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: want to go out? I want you to cook something, baby,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: that's all. You don't want something. You don't want to
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: go nowhere like I want to go into kitchen and
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: eat something after you cook something. Baby, there's a seminar
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: and positive thinking at your church. Would you like to
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: attend that? Would you like to go to that? I mean,

- 1:04:12Speaker 1: to do that all the time? And maybe back we
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: live in our best life. I'm going back and forth

- 1:07:37Speaker 1: trying to make me go down and then talk to
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the white folk. Remember that, Remember that order for this
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: to what we need, counseling, we need to go to
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: counsel I'm not talking to them white people. We got
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: they got black counselors. What's wrong with I'm not talking
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: to no black people with some white ideas. I'm not
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: doing well, he said. She said in the letter, he

- 1:08:53Speaker 1: if they want to comment on today's letter, they can
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: email us or instagram us your thoughts at Steve Harvey
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey and coming up in ten minutes. Couples
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: resolutions to start the new year off. Right right after
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, well, everyone's starting to
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: think about New Year's resolutions. Most of them are personal,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: and a lot are related to being healthier guys, But
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: if you're in a relationship, you want it to be
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: healthy too, right right, yeah, So this is according to
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Cosmopolitan magazine. And here are some suggestions. All right, be
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: more grateful for each other. I like that one that yeah,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I do too. Yeah. So it means take time to
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: acknowledge your partner and things you might not notice in
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: the hustle of everyday life that can help you appreciate
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: them more. I like that a lot. You know, honey,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: thank you well, because we think it's normal. And then
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: you come in all right, here's here's another one. Guys,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: actually listen to your partner. Listen. Yeah really, yeah, guys. Yeah,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: we've heard that. Communication is key, of course, but the
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: most important part of that isn't what you say. It's
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: hearing what your partner says. Okay, it's not what you say,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: it's hearing what your partner says, go ahead, go ahead. Time.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Hearing and listening, it's two different things. I would listen
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: more if you would pick up tune times to talk. Okay,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: so you gotta have a special time to time to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: talk to you. Yeah, this is the person that's in
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: his house about him. That's who it is. Y'all know
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: who y'all time to? Right? When is it a good time? Jay?
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: When is it a good time? I'll let you know.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Just listen, right, Jay, just listen. You take the trash
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: at there's some truth to that though. There is some
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: truth to that about people. All Right, talk about your
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: goals for the year ahead. I like that sit down.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: That's important, having an adult conversation. You know, what are
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: some of your goals for your personal, professional, all of
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: that as a family. So surely if I tell my
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: wife that my goal this coming year is for us
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: to get busy at least old times a week. If
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: that's my goal, shouldn't she try to help me obtain
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: the goal? Well, I mean she could at least hear
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: you out and if four and if four times, if
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: she's cool with that, then yeah. But if she's not,
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: then you guys got to work in a compromise. Maybe three,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: maybe two and a half, you know, maybe five. I
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: want to go not if it's two and a half.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Don't that leave me hanging somewhere if it's two and
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: a half. But that's the compromise. Yeah, yeah, all of
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: us right if she can't do the four, yeah, she
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: mayn't surprise you. Go fine, go yeah her hanging how
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: about that? Wow? Hey hey, hey hey, hold on that.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: But then that goes back to when we were saying
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: you gotta listen and talk and conversation and then you
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: set your goals. Yeah, that's why you have the conversation
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: because I really wanted a calendar just so we kind
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: of get meet vision boy, meet me here too, kids
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: getting here at the out of school meet me right
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: here at Yeah that's cool, you know, making date nights
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: and things like that, but sometimes you want that's date,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: that's date, thirty minute, that's date date, that's thirty minute. Ye,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: just right there, thirty That's all I'm asking. I'm not
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: trying to take about your time. I'm fine for go ahead,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: all right, I'll do something together. But we're doing together
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: at two, not just to drink at your neighborhood bar.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Do something new, do something different. H and oh here's
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: a big one. Here's a big one. And Jay, I
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: want you in on this one. O forgive? Who are
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: you talking of? Man who forgive? Talk about things that
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: are bothering you and dig deep and try to forgive.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: Do not carry those things into the new year. Don't
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: do it. Let it go. Many years we didn't care
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: this into now. You want to pick twenty nineteen to
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: be something different. Tommy, you knew you have a hard
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: time letting go. Oh yeah, yeah. Ever, I'm good to
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: you cross mean, well, sometimes you gotta forgive those who
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: crossed you. That's the whole point of forgiveness. Let him go.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I had this conversation. I had this conversation last night
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: one of my friends. I was like, wow, wow, yeah,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: you know what he was telling me about someone that
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: owed him some money. This is a buddy, I mean,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: he really, he really did the Christian thing. He's went
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: to this person said you know what, you don't owe
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: me no more. And the dude was like, huh. He said,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just wiping the slate clean. He said,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: this is this is the year of the jubileegue and
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: you don't ot And I was like, are you kidding me? You?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: And he was like, Toime, I had to let it go.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: He said, He's said, guess what, I got so much
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: more money after that was tenfold. He said, I could
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: not believe it. He said, now that person that I forgave,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: he said, that person is sick and ill and need
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: all the help. And I was like wow there, and
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: I had to just I had to take back and
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: just listen. I had to take it in. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: So did you learn something I did? What? Don't be
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: loaning the people out of this money. Don't get yourself called.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: I tell like that man, you can't do that. So
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: to answer your question, Carl, and he learned nothing. And
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: then a lot of man need to get some insurance.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: And he got to get well, you got forgiven. This
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: is powerful and it's not for them, it's right. Yeah, okay,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: here is a major one major All right before we go, quickly,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: put those phones away. People put them away when you're together.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: When you're together, make a point to focus on being
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: with your partner and putting your phone away. But if
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: we together, like I want to be at two o'clock,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: you can text me why are we doing it? And
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: let me know how I'm doing. How about your FaceTime timming?
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: That'd be real cool, man, coming up next, Jay and
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Tommy are gonna let us know what's on their minds
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: during the holiday season. You're listening to Steve Morning Show.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: All right, Jay and Tommy, it's the holiday season. Guys,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: just want to pick into your minds. What's on your
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: mind about this holiday. I think it's time for Tommy
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: and I. Tommy and I together, I wrote a song
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: about it. It's to talk to the side pieces over
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: the holiday because we again stop that called Christmas. Zip
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: it zip it zip what changes? It's thirty days? Do
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: you know what? There are a lot of people who
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: didn't hear what we did for Thanksgiving, So now we're
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: speaking to a new batch of people. Some people became
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: side pieces, you see Christmas. Some people just picked up aside.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: A couple of people picked up side all right, time,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: and you speak to the women, and I will speak
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: to the men, because there's some men who are side
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: pieces also and over there with them. Okay, my ladies,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: here we ladies. Let me talk to y'all. Alright, the
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: twenty four Christmas, that's your Christmas? Okay, And let me
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: tell you something. You your twenty four is really from

- 1:23:41Speaker 1: call tuesday. You go from the twenty four to the

- 1:24:36Speaker 1: all right. So you did that. Now, Jay, you've come
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: up with something. I think I'm sure that was your
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: brain child, the side piece stuff, Tommy, because you we

- 1:25:56Speaker 1: no way, we know what you all right, there's another man.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: It's another who said, all right, there's another who said
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: whack whack? What is that? Jacking? Nack whack w Yeah,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: he's still so that they want to hear it. They
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: do you get married? Don't you say? Sucker? Doctor? Whack whack?
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: Who said, Oh that's good, that's easy. John Weber's phone. Yeah,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: I'm scared of you, you know, Jack, you say that?
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: But that who says? Who says? I'll be thinking George Waller.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: I didn't know who said. I don't even know I
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: wrote this, but I forgot Who says, where whit whit? Well?
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: Is that Kevin Hart? Yeah, that's Kevin Hart? Is it
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: was a guest? That was guest? Got it though? Last
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: but not least, because Timmy's got a few of them.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: Who says, show your love? We all know that one. Steve,
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey. Yeah, you can ask
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: the Lord about me. That Steve Harvey, who said what
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: that's what we're playing right now? Let me give you
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: one more. Let me give you one okay, here one
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: Jake Okay who said damn don down Yeah, Florida? All right?
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: All right? Uh more with the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: She says that right after this, you're listening to the
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: Morning Show. If you need health insurance, please listen up. Okay.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Individuals and families who buy their own insurance have until
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: this coming Saturday, December fifteenth, in most states to sign
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: up for Obamacare. All right. It's a word we haven't
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: heard in a long time because they've been trying to
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: destroy it. Are you shocked that you didn't know about
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: tomorrow's deadline? Well, you are not alone. President Trump has
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: cut funding for the Affordable Care Act. You know, we
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: like to call it Obamacare advertising, of course, and outreach
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: media campaigns. The Trump administration has cut advertising funding by
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: ninety percent. He did that in twenty seventeen. President Obama,
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: if you recall earlier this week, did a video reminding
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: everyone about tomorrow's urgent deadline on social media. All right,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: so you can go to healthcare dot gov to sign
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: up out of guys, healthcare dot design. Yes, it's still
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: available for you tomorrow. A lot of people, a lot
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: of people, Yeah, absolutely, I got I got three children.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: We have used so much insurance this past year. If
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: I didn't had that, Oh my god, can you imagine?
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: I can but think about this, What if you had
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: a pre existing condition? What if you had a child,
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: a loved one with a pre existing condition and didn't
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: have healthcare. So this president, mister Trump, who's trying so
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: hard to cut funding and get the word out about
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: the deadline, he doesn't care about American citizens that need
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: healthcare to help their family members and children. Man, he
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: is so petty. And they right, you're still right. And
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: they never came up with a viable alternative. Okay, you
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: want to cut Obamacare and replace it with what? Yeah? Right.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: So in the video and in the video that the
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: president President of Mamma did, he said, spread the word.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: We can help save people lives. So, just like you
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: just said, Tommy, it's our obligation to let everybody know
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: about this deadline. It's tomorrow. Tomorrow. The saddest thing you
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: ever want to see is go and see people getting
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: medication and they don't have enough money, and so they
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: ration out, Yeah, and he said, well, I'll get six
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: of these three because they don't have the money. Can
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: you get the full bottle appeals. No, they don't have it. Ye,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: elderly people go through that, through that when I was young. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: it's literally so again, go sign up, do it now
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: healthcare dot gov. Tomorrow is the deadline if you don't
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: do it by tomorrow healthcare dot gov. Okay, another petty
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Trump news, Carla, the President. The President is canceled the
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: White House Press Christmas party. It's long run. It's a
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: long running tradition, and one of the perks is that
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: members of the press get to take pictures with the President,
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: but not the White House. We'll have another Christmas party
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: with more favorable members of the press invited. All right,
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: So don't forget to sign up healthcare dot gov. Do
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: it today, all right? Coming up, our last break of
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: the day, our last break of the day, and some
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: closing remarks from Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening,
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: all right, guys. Before we get to Steve's closing remarks,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: let's send some love and some prayers out to our
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: friend Donnie McClerkin, Pastor Donnie McClerkin, pastor. Donnie was in
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: a serious accident. Uh he passed out while driving on
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: the highway. But the good news is he is okay.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: He is okay. Yeah, thank the Lord, he says, I
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: am alive. He gives all the credit, of course, to
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: God and two human angels that pulled him out of
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: the car on the passenger side. He says, he remembers nothing. Um. Yeah,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: he got some stitches on his left left um, sprained wrists,
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: a hurt knee. But he's still here and he's thanking
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: the angels and he's thanking the Lord. Thank you, so
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: Johnnie mcclerk in our prayers that you have a speedy
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: recovery and that we're so thankful that you're okay, You're alive.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: All right, Yeah, all right, guys, ready for Steve and
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: his closing remarks. Let's do it. Let's do it, Let's
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: do it. You know, I've always heard people say you
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: gotta take the high road. But you know that's been
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: difficult for me at times because sometimes that hasn't always
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: registered with me. I haven't I haven't received it the
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: way I should have taking the high road. But Oprah
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: put it a little bit differently, and I've received it differently.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: She said, She's always been taught never to meet negativity
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: with negativity, because the only thing can him come out
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: of that is more negativity, she said. The only way
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: to come back darkness is with light, she said, and
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: it only takes a little bit of light to affect darkness.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: And so I started thinking, if you're in a completely
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: pitch black cave and you happen to have the smallest candle,
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: let's just say a birthday candle, and you light a
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: birthday candle in a pitch black cave, it has a
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: profound effect on a very large area in which was
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: normally a completely dark space. Just that one little piece
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: of light from a candle has a profound effect on
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: a pitch black dark cave. And she's absolutely correct. The
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: only way to combat darkness is to be light. And
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: I was talking to the girls and they were saying, Steve,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: that's taking the high road. And they're absolutely right. That's
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: exactly what people mean when they say take the high road.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: But I just never really received it that way because
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: it's been difficult for me sometimes to take the high road.
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: I've done it many times, but it's been challenging because
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: I being the way I am, sometimes I go, okay,
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: all right, so this the road we're riding towards each
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: other own. Then let's dry these cars and pick up
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: some speed and let's go. But that's not fruitful. That's
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: that's not to a benefit of me. It never has been.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: I've had people to help me understand, Like when they
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: blog about you. Now everybody's on social media some form
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: or fashion or another, no matter how many followers are, Like,
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: you get on Facebook or something, you're gonna run into
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: some hate. And what I was told being in this
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: position was when bloggers blog about you, it's a blog.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: If you respond to them, Steve, it's a press conference.
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: Because now you're gonna meet this negativity with more negativity.
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: You're gonna you're gonna heighten a much more ne get
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: a situation. So what open was saying, I wish everybody
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: receive it the way I did. It's just light, man.
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: You can't you can't win like that. You've got to
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: be light. I've always wanted to be a person that
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: when you walk into a room, people be glad to
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: see you. You know, I talk to my kids about
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: that all the time too. You know, you want to
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: be the person when they walk in the room everybody
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: going okay, cool, my man, Oh that's what my dude,
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: what's up? Boy? All of us know someone that walks
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: into a room and they just take that air out
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: the room. Everybody knows somebody like that. Man when they man,
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: y'all be sitting around having a good time. Man, you
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: and your boys or your girls, y'all sitting around. Then
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: this one person walk in and the whole attitude go.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: It's like they take the out the room because they
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: just darkness. Man, they just darkness. Y'all in there having
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: this light time. They here comes this black cloud that's
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: gonna cover over a fan and just start raining on it.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: I never wanted to be that person. I've always wanted
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: to be a person. And when I walk in the room,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: man that I could make a difference, But I just
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: wanted to be a bright spot up. You know, a
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: little more positivity. You can ask God to help make
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: you relevant, and I just I would rather be relative
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: on a positive level than to try to create relativity
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: by dragging other people down. These people who have shows
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: where all they do is talk about people, and they're
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: trying to be relevant by talking about people. Or you
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: got haters out there, who's a whole blog and whole
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: Instagram and whole social media's set up to draw hate
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: so they can draw viewers, so they can monetize and
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: and sell ads. Man, you know that ain't no good money.
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: You know how that's gonna last, because somebody gonna turn
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: around and say something about you, and then somebody gonna
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: stop viewing you. It's much better if you try to
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: make your living in a positive way. It lasts a
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: lot longer. I say this all the time. Hate is louder,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: but love is stronger. You have even noticed that hate
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: is so loud when they got stuff on all these
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: blog sites. They're just talking about people. You go, oh,
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: but love is stronger. It's quieter, but it's stronger. And
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: if you just keep loving yourself, you keep loving your God,
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: and you keep loving the people back that love you
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: can you can weather the storm. For all Steve Every
