- 0:26Speaker 1: together for stum, I don't joy. You gotta turn you,
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out, to turn the water the water. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby, uh huh, I sure will A
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, come on,
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now wanted only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Man o, man o, man, I just I have to
- 2:17Speaker 1: tell you this. How good is the God I served?
- 2:25Speaker 1: How amazing is he? That's that's all you know. And
- 2:29Speaker 1: you know, really, man, when I try to explain, um,
- 2:34Speaker 1: how I feel about what he does for me, really,
- 2:37Speaker 1: the words that I come up with that they just
- 2:39Speaker 1: they inadequate. Man, they don't they don't cut it. They
- 2:41Speaker 1: really don't. You know. I could say amazing. At one time.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I even just got there. I tried something real ignorant.
- 2:48Speaker 1: One time, I just said, you know, God is just
- 2:50Speaker 1: super casual, fragilistic as be allidocious. I just tried that
- 2:54Speaker 1: to see how that felt. That's that's all the change
- 2:57Speaker 1: he is with me. I just try to because see
- 2:58Speaker 1: how that felt. But then I ain't feel right saying that,
- 3:01Speaker 1: the fact that he's amazing and awesome and he's an
- 3:05Speaker 1: awesome god. You hear people say that as it's bigger
- 3:08Speaker 1: than that too, man. So you know, as as hard
- 3:12Speaker 1: as I try, no matter what I do every day,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna come up short with trying to explain to
- 3:16Speaker 1: you exactly how he works and how he is for me.
- 3:19Speaker 1: So I just thank him every day every chance I
- 3:22Speaker 1: get here. It is it is your determination and your effort.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Listen to me carefully. It is your determination and your effort.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I think that the average person, and I'm not knocking you,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I just want you to hear me out. I think
- 3:45Speaker 1: what stops the average person from becoming successful is that
- 3:49Speaker 1: we don't realize the effort that it takes. That's just truth.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I found that to be so true in my life
- 3:58Speaker 1: and my talking to people, in meeting people and people
- 4:01Speaker 1: aren't asking me questions about it and me trying to
- 4:04Speaker 1: figure out the way myself. I don't think that you
- 4:09Speaker 1: really can comprehend the effort that it takes to become successful.
- 4:15Speaker 1: This is the thing that you have to wrap your
- 4:17Speaker 1: mind around very quickly. If you want to be successful
- 4:21Speaker 1: on any level in any area. The dream is the beginning.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Good Lord, let me tell you something. The determination and
- 4:29Speaker 1: effort is massive. You cannot be overly concerned with sleep.
- 4:37Speaker 1: If you are a person who is always concerned about sleep,
- 4:42Speaker 1: get success out your mind. A fit to happen partner
- 4:45Speaker 1: is not fit to happen. You cannot be that concerned
- 4:49Speaker 1: about sleep. Now listen to me. You have to get
- 4:52Speaker 1: your rest. But this was my philosophy. I'm just sharing
- 4:57Speaker 1: you with what how I did it. My philosophy was
- 5:02Speaker 1: I stopped being concerned about sleep. I got my rest,
- 5:07Speaker 1: but I got just enough to get back to it,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and I got back on the grind to hop into hustle.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I got just enough rest so I could go and
- 5:20Speaker 1: put forth some more effort. But listen to me. You
- 5:24Speaker 1: cannot sleep a third of your life away and expect
- 5:28Speaker 1: to become successful if you're not already successful. If you
- 5:31Speaker 1: are asleep for eight hours, that is a third of
- 5:34Speaker 1: your day. You cannot be asleep a third of your
- 5:38Speaker 1: life and expect to get successful. Not after you get successful.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You know, you learn as you go to work smarter,
- 5:47Speaker 1: not harder. So as you get successful, you may have
- 5:51Speaker 1: eight hours available to you. But on the way up there,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I don't see how you can do it, I promise you.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I don't. Now I don't. Maybe somebody can come forward
- 5:58Speaker 1: I did it. I ain't. Yeah, probably lying. But okay,
- 6:02Speaker 1: tell your story, because everybody I know that's successful that
- 6:07Speaker 1: I've sat down a head real talks with, they wasn't
- 6:10Speaker 1: concerned with sleeping. You cannot be concerned with sleeping if
- 6:16Speaker 1: you want to be successful. How how can this happen
- 6:19Speaker 1: for you? Listen to me. The effort that it requires
- 6:23Speaker 1: is massive. It's an all out of salt on your dream.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Now you got to make an assault. It's requires and
- 6:30Speaker 1: all out of salt on it. And you can't be
- 6:33Speaker 1: sleeping fight at the same time. You can't fight when
- 6:35Speaker 1: you sleep. Man. I wish I could get y'all understand
- 6:39Speaker 1: this right. Ill understand that the effort that is required
- 6:43Speaker 1: to be successful will take everything you have, and when
- 6:47Speaker 1: you think you've given your all, it's gonna require some more.
- 6:51Speaker 1: The quality of your chill is amazing. See that's said. Okay, listening,
- 6:58Speaker 1: What is sitting around having a bill day fault? What
- 7:01Speaker 1: what what I'm sitting around smoking weed for every day? Fault?
- 7:05Speaker 1: Come on, man, for real, But if you took that beer,
- 7:10Speaker 1: drinking weed smoking chill time and apply it to progressing
- 7:14Speaker 1: yourself towards your dream. When you do carve out a vacation,
- 7:19Speaker 1: guess where you be able to go. Guess what part
- 7:23Speaker 1: of the world you can go see. Guess how you
- 7:24Speaker 1: can chill Now Now I'm instead of you just driving
- 7:27Speaker 1: every year your family to the family union, sit at
- 7:30Speaker 1: the same picnic table. Everybody pull their money in. Two
- 7:33Speaker 1: ten families don't never pull they money in. They down
- 7:36Speaker 1: there eating like y'all eating. You got attitude because the
- 7:40Speaker 1: day or they side don't ever chip in, and no
- 7:42Speaker 1: they down they eating the extra potatoes that making place.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You're not not arguing about this every year for real? Man,
- 7:48Speaker 1: they ain't got the T shirt money. You know they
- 7:51Speaker 1: got to say T shirt don't. They ain't put in
- 7:53Speaker 1: that really, man, so so so so so you want
- 7:57Speaker 1: that to be it every year? Or do you want
- 8:00Speaker 1: this year I'm taking my family to New Orleans, or
- 8:04Speaker 1: I'm taking my family see the Grand Canyon. I'm taking
- 8:07Speaker 1: my family down to the beach this year and me
- 8:09Speaker 1: and my family gonna go sight See, we're gonna go
- 8:12Speaker 1: ride Coup the River on Chicago. Me and my family
- 8:15Speaker 1: gonna go skiing this year, and me and my family
- 8:17Speaker 1: going out to La Man, we're gonna we're gonna go
- 8:19Speaker 1: out there for a weekend. You know, you know it
- 8:21Speaker 1: can happen like that. But if you ain't working, listen
- 8:27Speaker 1: to me. Average effort gets average results. That's that's all
- 8:34Speaker 1: it is to it. See, ordinary effort gets ordinary results.
- 8:44Speaker 1: But if you put forth an extra effort. See, the
- 8:48Speaker 1: only difference between extraordinary and ordinary is one word, that's extra.
- 8:53Speaker 1: If you do extra, you can take ordinary right on
- 8:57Speaker 1: over to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have
- 9:00Speaker 1: a massive assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man,
- 9:04Speaker 1: trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I
- 9:06Speaker 1: wish I could tell you another way, but it ain't one.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Here's what I did. I wasn't concerned about how much
- 9:13Speaker 1: sleep I got. I just had to get my rest.
- 9:17Speaker 1: And once I got enough rest to get up and
- 9:19Speaker 1: get the task done, I got up. Somebody sent me
- 9:24Speaker 1: a tweet the other day, a partner of mine. He's
- 9:29Speaker 1: someone to see if I can pull it up. While
- 9:31Speaker 1: I'm talking to you, but he just sent me a
- 9:33Speaker 1: little sign. Just wasn't nothing, just a little something to say.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Hey man, I ran across this, I thought about you,
- 9:39Speaker 1: and I sent it to you. It said no alarm
- 9:42Speaker 1: clock needed, My passion wakes me. It's in block print.
- 9:50Speaker 1: He said, no alarm clock needed, my passion wakes me.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That's what you got to be about. You're da ladies
- 10:03Speaker 1: and gentlemen, boys and girls, let me have it. What
- 10:06Speaker 1: about asking for your undivided attention? Why because it's about
- 10:09Speaker 1: to go down? What Steve Hard Morning Show? When right now?
- 10:14Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. This is real simple. It's
- 10:17Speaker 1: what we do every morning. We try to bring you information, motivation, stimulation,
- 10:24Speaker 1: education and laugh asition. All that these is the laugh
- 10:32Speaker 1: I Asian. I love that one. That's laughing with information
- 10:36Speaker 1: combined laugh laugh action. Yeah, yeah, I just thought of
- 10:40Speaker 1: that just now. Just now. Ain't nothing new, you know,
- 10:44Speaker 1: just just sitting up in here. I was telling the
- 10:45Speaker 1: crew right before I started, I said, I just didn't
- 10:48Speaker 1: get my gratitude in so I just want to say
- 10:50Speaker 1: it out loud this morning. Thank you my father for
- 10:52Speaker 1: waking me up to day, for keeping me strong, for
- 10:55Speaker 1: providing for providing me with my measure of health. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: feel like today and every day, I'm getting better and better.
- 11:05Speaker 1: In Jesus name, I'm walking strong man. I ain't the
- 11:08Speaker 1: way you can't when you comfort me, you ain't coming
- 11:10Speaker 1: from me because I ain't by myself. Now I'm fair warning.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I have issued just wanted to enemies before. It is
- 11:16Speaker 1: my enemies versus my God. Score one billion to zero.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Come on, Lord Jesus, undefeated, undefeated man. Even when it
- 11:34Speaker 1: looked like I was losing, I ended up with it. Boys,
- 11:40Speaker 1: So I praised God for everything every moment of my
- 11:42Speaker 1: life that I've had to endure, overcome, been overwhelmed by
- 11:48Speaker 1: and survived, which is all of them. Steve harfmarnin Show,
- 11:52Speaker 1: Charley Strawberry Carlin for real, Mouth to the South Junior
- 11:56Speaker 1: and the legend that he is nephew Tommy Junior. Anything
- 11:59Speaker 1: on your mind today, Yeah, there's just funny that you
- 12:01Speaker 1: would start to show that way on because I had
- 12:03Speaker 1: a question. We would talk about something, but everybody's going
- 12:06Speaker 1: through it and how to handle when you losing your faith?
- 12:08Speaker 1: How did you internally deal with that? When ask me
- 12:12Speaker 1: that again, I missed it. When you just feel like
- 12:14Speaker 1: you losing your faith when you're seeing you in a
- 12:16Speaker 1: situation internally, How did you handle losing getting it back
- 12:20Speaker 1: and getting back on the right track. Well, you know,
- 12:23Speaker 1: it happens to everybody that your face, yea, that your
- 12:28Speaker 1: trials and tribulations get a bit much at times and
- 12:33Speaker 1: causes you to second guess and wonder and have doubt
- 12:39Speaker 1: and all that. I mean, it happens to everybody. You know.
- 12:43Speaker 1: When I have moments like that, what I've learned to do,
- 12:46Speaker 1: and I haven't always known this, but what I've learned
- 12:49Speaker 1: to do when I get to those moments is I
- 12:51Speaker 1: go somewhere and I get real still. I get you.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Usually early in the morning. I get real still when
- 12:58Speaker 1: I'm by myself and I focused on the gratitude of
- 13:01Speaker 1: what all has happened to me. In that gratitude, I
- 13:05Speaker 1: realized that I have overcome and gained so much in life.
- 13:10Speaker 1: And then it restrengthens me to deal with what's currently
- 13:13Speaker 1: going on, because once I think of the gratitude, it
- 13:16Speaker 1: exposes the track record that I have to success winning
- 13:21Speaker 1: overcoming victories. And I think of all the other times
- 13:26Speaker 1: that I had doubt that he ended up and he
- 13:28Speaker 1: came through what he got me. So that's a measure
- 13:30Speaker 1: I've learned to do. You got to thank God when
- 13:33Speaker 1: you're in the middle of it. Amen, coming up in
- 13:36Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, we're gonna hear from
- 13:39Speaker 1: the nephew. It's about to get ignorant. Now run that
- 13:41Speaker 1: frank back right after this you're listening to show. All right,
- 13:48Speaker 1: it's time now for the nephew to run that prank back.
- 13:51Speaker 1: What you got for his now, repass chicken, repass chicken.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Let's go, thank you for I need to make an order. Hey, yeah,

- 19:34Speaker 1: either way coming up here, what you want to do,
- 19:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna send somebody else up there to get the chicken? Man, Okay, Oh,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you're gonna stand up here. Tommy coming to get the chicken? Tommy? Who?
- 19:42Speaker 1: What's the blame? Enough? I gotta get information. Can what's
- 19:46Speaker 1: the name Timmy man, nephew Timmy from the Steve Hardy
- 19:49Speaker 1: Morning Show. What's the here? You just say a week? Who?
- 19:59Speaker 1: I ain't the nephew coming from the sea. Harvey, morning, man,
- 20:06Speaker 1: this is some man you about to ask somebody? Yeah,
- 20:12Speaker 1: what bro something doing all the chicken though? You got
- 20:17Speaker 1: coming that Courtney? Uh that dirty hey way. This is
- 20:20Speaker 1: what I'm doing, man, I'm gonna give you my credit
- 20:23Speaker 1: card and we're gonna dominate kicking all day. Man, you
- 20:25Speaker 1: see some homeless people or whatever, you just pans out
- 20:27Speaker 1: to chick up and we've been getting paid for it.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Right now, Yeah, I can't trust that, y'all gotta be
- 20:34Speaker 1: paring on. I'm about right now. I'm saying, man, what's
- 20:39Speaker 1: the baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in
- 20:42Speaker 1: the lame man the Steve Harvey more in the shout,
- 20:48Speaker 1: All right, nephew. Coming up next, it is asked the
- 20:52Speaker 1: Cello chief Love Officers, Steve Barbie in the building for
- 20:55Speaker 1: your love questions. Right after this, you're listening Steve Every
- 21:00Speaker 1: morning show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 21:03Speaker 1: And entertainment news, Oscar's nomination snubs. Okay, we'll talk about those. Plus.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Erica Badou addresses the controversy over the mother and daughter
- 21:12Speaker 1: booty pics that were on the Graham a couple of
- 21:15Speaker 1: days ago. Oh yeah, oh yeah. And then former GMA
- 21:19Speaker 1: three anchors t J. Holmes and Amy Roebok are Roebok
- 21:23Speaker 1: are in mediation meetings almost said meditation meetings, but mediation
- 21:27Speaker 1: meetings with a they're in those meetings with ABC. We'll
- 21:36Speaker 1: talk about all of these stories at the top of
- 21:37Speaker 1: the hour, but right now it is time to ask
- 21:41Speaker 1: the CLO, the Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building,
- 21:45Speaker 1: Ronda and Philly says, I'm a single mother of a
- 21:48Speaker 1: fifteen year old son, and I have a question because
- 21:51Speaker 1: there's no male representation around us. My son keeps his
- 21:55Speaker 1: hands in the front of his pants all the time
- 21:58Speaker 1: when he sleeps and walking aroun around the house. This
- 22:01Speaker 1: is so gross and disrespectful to me. Is it normal
- 22:05Speaker 1: or should I say something? Well, he's fifteen. Let me
- 22:11Speaker 1: tell you what's happening. It's very normal for him to
- 22:15Speaker 1: do that when he sleep. I don't know if you've
- 22:17Speaker 1: been around me and before with a lot of grown
- 22:19Speaker 1: men do it holding on. It's jest, you know, so
- 22:25Speaker 1: it's a safe feeling it So yeah, you know you're
- 22:29Speaker 1: sleep and now that's grown men do it. Fifteen, he's
- 22:35Speaker 1: in that age where it is it reacts to just
- 22:40Speaker 1: about anything. It don't take much. He's just not thinking
- 22:45Speaker 1: it out. And now during the day and that's a
- 22:51Speaker 1: little odd. Sleeping when he buys yourself, watching TV, that's
- 22:55Speaker 1: very normal. Walking around all day, it is very adum.
- 23:04Speaker 1: You have to. But then what didn't happened is, see, Mama,
- 23:08Speaker 1: he didn got comfortable with you. So now it's just
- 23:11Speaker 1: just mama. Now if he's doing it at school and
- 23:16Speaker 1: walking down the street and waiting on buses and you know,
- 23:20Speaker 1: then then we have a problem. But I think it's
- 23:23Speaker 1: just a moment. I he's gotten comfortable around you, and
- 23:27Speaker 1: I think you could ask him not to do that
- 23:29Speaker 1: in front of you, and then most boys should be
- 23:32Speaker 1: respectful of their mom. That cut it out. But at
- 23:35Speaker 1: night it ain't nothing you can do. But time daddy
- 23:38Speaker 1: was day in the daytime a little to dad attended. Boy, boy, Well,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I can't say it on the radio. You don't. You
- 23:49Speaker 1: can't boiling boy if you don't get your head off,
- 23:54Speaker 1: Jack Johnson, ain't no heavyweight fight. Didn't hear this moment?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yea you know that? Yeah? That kind of all right.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Moving on to Dot in West Virginia. Dot says, I'm
- 24:07Speaker 1: sixty two years old, and I'm dating a sixty three
- 24:10Speaker 1: year old man that I met at church. We've been
- 24:12Speaker 1: together for five months and we've had sex a few times,
- 24:16Speaker 1: but it's not enough for me. He doesn't like it
- 24:19Speaker 1: if I initiate sex. And does this mean we're not
- 24:22Speaker 1: sexually compatible? YEA one word? I know, Yeah, dot, that's
- 24:31Speaker 1: what that means. Yeah. And West Virginia, you know, I
- 24:37Speaker 1: don't know if y'all met at the snake charmer church.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I don't know what church this is. I don't really
- 24:42Speaker 1: know what there's a lot of it going on away.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm from West Virginia. So you say, yeah, anybody don't
- 24:47Speaker 1: like it, you can just get the email. No, I'm
- 24:51Speaker 1: just shocked. They still doing snakes down there and contest
- 25:00Speaker 1: parts of Tennessee. Now all Appellachians is doing it still,
- 25:04Speaker 1: some of them. It's not a widespread but it's still
- 25:07Speaker 1: out there shouting with snakes and stuff like that. That's
- 25:11Speaker 1: your bigger problem. Or maybe his snake is tired of
- 25:20Speaker 1: making appearances and his snake is tired of performing, and
- 25:29Speaker 1: so he got to pick and choose the time to
- 25:32Speaker 1: bring the snake out. FUS service man, see that high dude, right, good, Yeah,
- 25:43Speaker 1: it was radio friendly radio friends, all right. Moving on
- 25:48Speaker 1: to Ola in Tampa, Ola. Right, my aunt, yeah, Ola, rights,
- 25:56Speaker 1: My aunt is staying with me temporarily, and she's always
- 26:00Speaker 1: flirty with my twenty eight year old boyfriend. She's forty eight,
- 26:03Speaker 1: but looks like she's seventy eight. Uh, my boyfriend may funny.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I know that's crazy, thirty years older than she really is.
- 26:13Speaker 1: My boyfriend thinks it's funny, and he flirts back to
- 26:15Speaker 1: make her feel special. Is it cool or should I
- 26:18Speaker 1: stop all of this flirty behavior? No, he just he
- 26:22Speaker 1: tries to trying to ask the fun that's all. I
- 26:25Speaker 1: don't know many men that wan't a forty eight year
- 26:28Speaker 1: old and look like a seventy eight year old. I've
- 26:30Speaker 1: yet to meet him. Yeah good, yeah, good' Look how
- 26:43Speaker 1: shriveled up she looked. I'm gonna looking real good. That
- 26:50Speaker 1: dog don't hunt. Don't you see them teeth in that glass? Yeah? Yeah, wow, yes, no, yeah,
- 27:01Speaker 1: it's funny to him, he said that. Yeah. Well, if
- 27:04Speaker 1: she forty looks av me eight, there's some things that's
- 27:06Speaker 1: gone wrong. She had hard life. That's a shame. All right, Well,
- 27:12Speaker 1: moving on, Yeah, last one Briann in New Orleans. Brian writes,
- 27:16Speaker 1: my brother is coming to hang out for his birthday
- 27:19Speaker 1: and he asked me to book him two hotel rooms
- 27:22Speaker 1: on my credit card. I asked why he needs two rooms,
- 27:26Speaker 1: and he said the other room is for a female friend.
- 27:29Speaker 1: He just got married, So I'm not gonna help him cheat.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Should I do it for him? Or should I tell
- 27:35Speaker 1: him to ask someone else? No, they don't get involved
- 27:39Speaker 1: in then, because if something happens and then the wife
- 27:43Speaker 1: find out that you help, it's all going back for
- 27:47Speaker 1: I don't even know why he asking that. Don't when
- 27:49Speaker 1: the dude's gonna learn, keep your dirt to your damn self. Man,
- 27:53Speaker 1: the less people you bring in your mess, the less
- 27:56Speaker 1: people can tell about it. If you're gonna do some dirt, man,
- 28:00Speaker 1: do your dirt by your damn So what are you
- 28:02Speaker 1: dragging all these people? Yeah? Yeah, I can't ask my
- 28:11Speaker 1: sister a damn thing illegal or wrong? Which one? Either one?
- 28:22Speaker 1: What would Jesus do? W W j D the guilt
- 28:30Speaker 1: the exact opposite of what I just asked you to
- 28:37Speaker 1: help me? What would Jesus do? Okay, got your answer? Next?
- 28:46Speaker 1: All right? Brian? Nope, Closis stay out of it brother sloppy. Yeah,
- 28:54Speaker 1: with the truth, he shouldn't be able to trop The
- 28:56Speaker 1: rule should have been for Carl. What did you talk about?
- 28:59Speaker 1: Phoebe got married though? What anybody? Yeah? But why tell
- 29:05Speaker 1: the sisters? Tell the sister who was? The truth is crazy?
- 29:10Speaker 1: All right? Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:12Speaker 1: Thank you, Clo. We'll have some entertainment news for you
- 29:15Speaker 1: all right after this crazy you're listening to show still trending.
- 29:23Speaker 1: The Oscar nominations were announced on Tuesday, and we're so
- 29:27Speaker 1: happy for actress Angela Bassett's nomination for Best Supporting Actress
- 29:31Speaker 1: and her performance as Queen Ramanda in Black Panther Wakanda Forever.
- 29:36Speaker 1: We all know the Academy still owes Angela and Oscar
- 29:39Speaker 1: for her role as Tina Turner in the movie What's
- 29:41Speaker 1: Got What's Love Got to do with It? Of course? Yeah. Um. However,
- 29:47Speaker 1: we are disappointed that Viola day This was overlooked for
- 29:51Speaker 1: the Best Actress nomination for her role in the movie
- 29:54Speaker 1: The Woman King. Now, Steve, you saw The Woman King, right,
- 29:59Speaker 1: wasn't it amazing? Whoa? Yeah? Like Simon asked me, and
- 30:08Speaker 1: I gave it a little bit of thought, but you
- 30:11Speaker 1: know who I think the greatest female actor of all
- 30:15Speaker 1: time is as actress. I really think it's Viola Davis. Oh,
- 30:22Speaker 1: she's so just believable. But everything she does from the
- 30:28Speaker 1: White House, the Offences with Denza, I saw that. I
- 30:35Speaker 1: was right there with you. Yes, I mean this woman
- 30:39Speaker 1: is so I movie about the aide that the help, Yeah,
- 30:46Speaker 1: and how to get away with murder him in his chest. Amazing, man,
- 30:53Speaker 1: she should have gotten nominated for that. That movie can
- 30:56Speaker 1: blow a snot bubble on Cue. You was cold, says
- 31:01Speaker 1: the fellow actor on Tommy. Who do you think it's
- 31:03Speaker 1: the top female actress? I think it was definitely in
- 31:08Speaker 1: the time. That's for definitely. She She's a bad girl.
- 31:11Speaker 1: She got she got every everything on point that she
- 31:14Speaker 1: don't miss a beat. Woman King was woman King was outstanding.
- 31:20Speaker 1: She delivered, she delivered. I just saw it. I just
- 31:23Speaker 1: saw it. Yeah, that's like one of my favorite movie
- 31:27Speaker 1: of last year, The Woman care no scene. I haven't
- 31:31Speaker 1: seen Black Panther two yet, an Well, I saw that
- 31:36Speaker 1: and I said, you know, as soon as I saw that,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I said, she should be nominated for an hour. Yes, yes,
- 31:44Speaker 1: she's a legend too, Yes, yes, yeah, that girl ain't
- 31:48Speaker 1: gonna get it. That's right. People think they just popped up.
- 31:52Speaker 1: You start looking at old TV shows and you start saying,
- 31:54Speaker 1: oh my god, that's yes. Yeah, you know, it's been
- 32:00Speaker 1: very route and I'm gonna just be honest with you,
- 32:02Speaker 1: the route that black women have to take to get roles,
- 32:05Speaker 1: even in roles, I mean, man like, they will. They
- 32:10Speaker 1: will not put a black woman in a role simply
- 32:13Speaker 1: because she black. Yeah, yeah, black card. They don't want
- 32:17Speaker 1: to have to explain that all it's not the look
- 32:21Speaker 1: we're looking for. That's crazy, Or she won't be able
- 32:24Speaker 1: to bring in the audience that we want, or you know,
- 32:27Speaker 1: the box office dollars and all of that. Um well, anyway, yeah,
- 32:32Speaker 1: Viola King was over Viola Davis was overlooked for The
- 32:36Speaker 1: Woman King, and also Danielle Dadweiler was snubbed for her
- 32:40Speaker 1: role in the movie Till uh yeah, The Woman King,
- 32:44Speaker 1: Until are two movies with black women as lead. Steve,
- 32:48Speaker 1: you just talked about this and they had black directors
- 32:51Speaker 1: as well. Um. Academy Awards point, yeah, very much, so,
- 32:56Speaker 1: very much so. Academy Award nominees received their votes from
- 32:59Speaker 1: member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts, Motion Picture,
- 33:03Speaker 1: Arts and Sciences. The organization of more than ten thousand
- 33:06Speaker 1: industry professionals has around ninety five hundred members who are
- 33:10Speaker 1: eligible to vote her vanity fair, according to MSN dot com.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Now the Oscars will be March twelfth, and it will
- 33:17Speaker 1: be hosted not by Chris Rock, It will be hosted
- 33:20Speaker 1: by Jimmy Kimmel. Okay, well, but you do something to
- 33:23Speaker 1: let me say this too. A lot of movies don't
- 33:27Speaker 1: get recognition like till because they don't give a damn
- 33:31Speaker 1: about that, right, Yeah, what happened to this whole movement?
- 33:36Speaker 1: Remember the whole diversity, diversity and inclusion and all that last. Yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 1: like the terms described it perfectly. That came and went,
- 33:52Speaker 1: just like all our movements come and go. Yeah, what
- 33:56Speaker 1: happened to Black Lives Matter? What happened to kneeling? What happened?
- 34:00Speaker 1: What happened to the boycott? The expertise of the oppressor
- 34:05Speaker 1: is to just let some time go back. The first
- 34:10Speaker 1: week them picket signs as low crowded. Everybody got a
- 34:14Speaker 1: sign about a month in braids. Ain't half the people
- 34:20Speaker 1: out there marching? They ain't showing off nor more. And
- 34:23Speaker 1: in six Mores you ain't gotta word about it. So yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 1: sorry for those snubs, but Viola Davis, we're huge fans
- 34:31Speaker 1: of yours and other entertainment news. Erica Badou and her
- 34:35Speaker 1: family are responding to the backlash over a picture of
- 34:38Speaker 1: her daughter that was posted on the Gram earlier this week.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Her name is Puma Curry. Puma posted a picture standing
- 34:46Speaker 1: alongside her mom, Erica Badoud. They were both rocking tight
- 34:50Speaker 1: leggings and showing off their booties. I mean they were
- 34:52Speaker 1: showing off their curves. Some people on social media found
- 34:56Speaker 1: this to be scandalous, leaving comments like quote, so y'all
- 35:00Speaker 1: advertising ass objectifying and exploiting y'all bodies for personal gain,
- 35:06Speaker 1: then post for likes, views, and engagement for payment. This
- 35:11Speaker 1: is clearly commercial prostitution. You can do nothing. Then another
- 35:21Speaker 1: one wrote, um yeah, Then another one wrote anything for
- 35:24Speaker 1: social media. Well. Eighteen year old Pulma addressed the situation
- 35:28Speaker 1: in writing she said, I posted a picture of me
- 35:30Speaker 1: and my mama Badu and some cute form fitting pants.
- 35:33Speaker 1: I'm an adult, what's the real issue? Meanwhile, Erica has
- 35:37Speaker 1: been cracking jokes saying wait till you all see the
- 35:39Speaker 1: inside's heart mind and spirit. Next year, I'll show you
- 35:42Speaker 1: all a sonogram X ray of my colon. The doctor says,
- 35:46Speaker 1: and I quote, is just the prettiest thing I've ever seen. Yes,
- 35:54Speaker 1: I love it. I love it all right. Coming up,
- 35:59Speaker 1: coming up into twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 36:01Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 36:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the Stave Harvey Morning Show. Well. The
- 36:08Speaker 1: start of twenty twenty three has seen an alarming spike
- 36:11Speaker 1: and gun violence, with forty mass shootings so far this month.
- 36:17Speaker 1: We are still in January, Okay. The Gun Violence Archive,
- 36:21Speaker 1: which tracks shootings across the country and defines mass shooting
- 36:25Speaker 1: as an incident where at least four victims are injured
- 36:28Speaker 1: or killed, says seventy three people have so far been
- 36:32Speaker 1: killed this year. There were six mass shootings in January alone,
- 36:36Speaker 1: and only seven days this month which haven't seen a
- 36:40Speaker 1: mass shooting. The recent shooting this past Sunday in Monterey Park, California,
- 36:44Speaker 1: where twelve people were killed and nine others were injured.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Just two days later, eight people were killed in separate
- 36:50Speaker 1: shootings in California's Bay Area. There was another shooting recently
- 36:54Speaker 1: in North Carolina, and just yesterday another shooting in Washington State.
- 36:59Speaker 1: President Biden said in a statement, quote, we know the
- 37:03Speaker 1: scourge of gun violence across America requires stronger action. The
- 37:08Speaker 1: President spoke about bills introduced Monday by Senate Democrats, including
- 37:12Speaker 1: a federal assault weapons band and legislation that would raise
- 37:16Speaker 1: the minimum purchase age for assault weapons to twenty one.
- 37:19Speaker 1: The President went on to say, I once again urge
- 37:22Speaker 1: both Chambers of Commerce to act quickly and deliver this
- 37:26Speaker 1: assault weapons band to my desk and take actions to
- 37:29Speaker 1: keep American communities, schools, workplaces, and home safe. So will
- 37:35Speaker 1: anything be done? I doubt it. Yeah, So Congress is
- 37:45Speaker 1: just going to keep saying thoughts and prayers, no action, nothing, nothing.
- 37:51Speaker 1: They I mean, twenty one something donates too much money
- 37:57Speaker 1: to the Republican Party for the republic In candidates to
- 38:01Speaker 1: open their damn mouth, because if you open up your
- 38:04Speaker 1: mouth against the Second Amendment, they will take their money
- 38:07Speaker 1: and put it into the opposing candidate candidate and make
- 38:11Speaker 1: sure they win. So this is more important than lives.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I mean, we saw it when we all know that
- 38:21Speaker 1: their main objective is power, money and control and money
- 38:26Speaker 1: and nothing supersedes that, including human life until it comes
- 38:31Speaker 1: down to your damn that's your life or your child.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Until that happens, man, it's business as usual. This is
- 38:42Speaker 1: this is sad, this is crazy the norm in this country.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I watched the lady interview the one of the ladies
- 38:54Speaker 1: for the thing that happened in Montery was in Monerate,
- 38:57Speaker 1: the last one in that Asian community. Oh yeah, Monterey
- 39:01Speaker 1: Parker point. She said, I know this is just the
- 39:06Speaker 1: normal mass shooting for you because it happened to you.
- 39:10Speaker 1: What this is what the reporter said, I know this
- 39:13Speaker 1: isn't just a regular mass shooting for you. This has
- 39:16Speaker 1: affected you personally because this is your community. What do
- 39:21Speaker 1: you mean a regular I went, wow, that's again, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 39:27Speaker 1: all right, coming, thank you. Coming up at thirty four
- 39:29Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. We're gonna check Steve's voicemail. Right
- 39:33Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 39:39Speaker 1: it is time to check your voicemail and listen. If
- 39:42Speaker 1: you want to leave a message for Steve, call them

- 41:28Speaker 1: the distance and the times and all of that, and
- 41:30Speaker 1: a call from South Carolina has an issue with it.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Take a listen, hey, look, bit man, there's little call
- 41:36Speaker 1: technic nephews term me is not running to leave miles

- 44:08Speaker 1: answers to this. Um, I'm more than willing to help.
- 44:12Speaker 1: I really really am. But that's basically what my mentoring
- 44:16Speaker 1: program is. Man. I try to head it off early
- 44:18Speaker 1: as as I can, but it's not enough. We need more,

- 54:33Speaker 1: have to receive it before we can read its subjects.
- 54:38Speaker 1: No subject they went to the place without me. Dear
- 54:47Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, My husband claims he was trying to do
- 54:49Speaker 1: something sweet and thoughtful, but it's backfired. It's backfired on him.
- 54:54Speaker 1: He decided we would go to an island for our
- 54:56Speaker 1: tenth anniversary, and he invited four couples to join us,
- 55:00Speaker 1: but they couldn't give me any details about the trip
- 55:03Speaker 1: because my husband wanted to surprise me. Last weekend, my
- 55:07Speaker 1: husband and my husband informed me that he planned a
- 55:09Speaker 1: trip to go visit the hotel, check out boat rentals,
- 55:12Speaker 1: and plan some activities for our big weekend trip. He
- 55:16Speaker 1: said it would be a quick trip and he was
- 55:17Speaker 1: taking his buddy with him to help him plan everything.
- 55:22Speaker 1: He left on Friday and texted me when he landed.
- 55:25Speaker 1: It was a long flight, so he said he was
- 55:27Speaker 1: going straight to his room and get in the bed.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I didn't hear from him until four pm the next day.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I tried to FaceTime him and he declined it, but
- 55:38Speaker 1: then he called me back on a regular call a
- 55:41Speaker 1: few minutes later, and it was loud wherever he was.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Then one of my girlfriends texted me a picture of
- 55:48Speaker 1: a lady whose name was Amber, on a boat in Cancoon.
- 55:54Speaker 1: I don't like Amber because she has been friends with
- 55:56Speaker 1: my husband for fifteen years and she acts like she
- 56:00Speaker 1: knows him a lot better than I do. I could
- 56:03Speaker 1: not help but think Amber was wherever my husband was.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I called him back to back. He didn't answer, so
- 56:11Speaker 1: I sent him at least ten text messages. He finally responded, yes,
- 56:16Speaker 1: Amber is helping me plan your weekend getaway, and yes
- 56:19Speaker 1: she is here with me. He got home later that
- 56:22Speaker 1: night and tried to plead his case. But I've ignored
- 56:25Speaker 1: him for over a week. He must think I'm stupid.
- 56:28Speaker 1: How could this place ever be special to me? Now
- 56:31Speaker 1: that he's taken Amber there. I told him to cancel
- 56:34Speaker 1: the whole trip. He said, I'm overreacting. Why couldn't he
- 56:38Speaker 1: Why couldn't he say that he was going with Amber? Well,
- 56:42Speaker 1: he did tell you that he was going with a buddy,
- 56:44Speaker 1: and Amber is a buddy, but you know, not the
- 56:46Speaker 1: kind of buddy. Of course, you know that was that
- 56:51Speaker 1: you thought he was talking about. And Amber is wrong
- 56:54Speaker 1: and he is wrong. Absolutely they're both wrong for doing this.
- 56:59Speaker 1: He didn't mention it because he knew you would be
- 57:01Speaker 1: mad and probably explode on him, and you would be right,
- 57:05Speaker 1: absolutely right. Your husband, though, who your husband is thoughtful,
- 57:12Speaker 1: I'll give him that, but he's not very smart. He's
- 57:15Speaker 1: not smart at all. It was great that he wanted
- 57:17Speaker 1: to do something wonderful for your tenth anniversary, but to
- 57:21Speaker 1: plan it with this Amber chick who he knows you
- 57:24Speaker 1: can't stand that beyond stupid on his part, how is
- 57:29Speaker 1: someone you don't like gonna care enough to plan a sexy, beautiful, awesome,
- 57:33Speaker 1: memorable celebration for you? And Amber is stupid too for
- 57:37Speaker 1: going over there in the first place. And why wasn't
- 57:40Speaker 1: he answering her phone while he was all over there
- 57:43Speaker 1: with Amber? This had disaster written all over at the
- 57:46Speaker 1: moment your husband included her. And I don't blame you
- 57:50Speaker 1: for canceling the trip or being upset or anything. You're
- 57:53Speaker 1: not overreacting. You're acting as any wife would when their
- 57:56Speaker 1: husband asks a woman you don't like to help plan
- 57:59Speaker 1: something special for you. Get out of here with this. Uh, Steve,
- 58:03Speaker 1: this is ridiculous, you know this letter, man, It's just
- 58:16Speaker 1: this is when men do stuff so stupid that I
- 58:22Speaker 1: can't help you. Dog, I can't help you at all. Bro,
- 58:26Speaker 1: I can't even joke this one out. No. I could
- 58:30Speaker 1: tell you him funny stuff make you think, but it's
- 58:33Speaker 1: it's not believable. Now, let's just start at the bottom
- 58:37Speaker 1: of this letter. The subject is they went to see
- 58:40Speaker 1: the place with album. Her last line in this letter says,
- 58:45Speaker 1: he says, I'm overreacting. Why couldn't he say he was
- 58:50Speaker 1: going with Amber because it is See, we know why
- 58:57Speaker 1: because of this, he can't come out and tell you
- 59:02Speaker 1: this thing, this trip is with Amble because all it
- 59:05Speaker 1: is the letter the reaction. He want this, so he
- 59:11Speaker 1: didn't mention Amble. Now does that make it right? This
- 59:17Speaker 1: dude is so dumb on so many damn levels, you know, Bros.
- 59:22Speaker 1: I try to work with y'all sometimes get y'all benefit
- 59:25Speaker 1: of the doubt, and I will when I can. But Bro,
- 59:29Speaker 1: when you do something so blatantly stupid, man, I can't
- 59:32Speaker 1: help you. Man what you want me to do? I
- 59:35Speaker 1: got women that listen to this show and then actually
- 59:40Speaker 1: care about Uncle Steve's advice. Now most of y'all know
- 59:42Speaker 1: when I'm joking, y'all know what I'm saying. Well, he
- 59:46Speaker 1: did this cause of that, and you know, you know,
- 59:48Speaker 1: I'm just because sometimes it's so obviously stupid. But this
- 59:52Speaker 1: is beyond obviously stupid, because this had an element of
- 59:58Speaker 1: cunning involved. And this is the part where I don't
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: and I don't like it because it was a special occasion.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: This is where dudes get in the most. He decided
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: that y'all will go on to island for y'all's tenth anniversary. Okay, Green,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: he invited folk keep people to join us. Now that's
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: called you know, he got split the costs of this
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: island and all this hill maybe or maybe you know,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: they just wanted some company, and now all that's cool too,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: But they couldn't give you any details about the trip
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: because my husband wanted to surprise me. All right, so
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: we come back. I'm gonna show you how he tried
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: to surprise you. All right, we'll have part two of
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Steve's response. Can't wait for this coming up in twenty
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject they
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: went to see the place without me. We'll get back
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to the show,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: or the subject is they want to see the place
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: without me. I'm gonna apologize to women out there that's
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: listening to this because I just can't even play around.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I don't even know where we're going with this right here.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: The question she posed at the end of the letter
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: was why couldn't he say he was going with Amber?
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: And because of this. This is why he didn't tell
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you about Amber because of the reaction you have him
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: right now in this letter. And the part I don't like,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: bro is he used a special occasion to pull it off.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: This is where the dog come in at and this
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: is what I don't like. So he decided we go
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: to an island for our tenth anniversary. He invited folk
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: couples to join us, but they couldn't give us any
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: details about the trip because my husband wanted to surprise me. Okay,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: that sounds cool, But last weekend my husband informed me
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: that he planned the trip to go visit the hotel,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: check out both rentals, and playing some activities for our
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: big weekend. He said to be a quick trip and
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: he was taking his buddy with him to help him
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: playing everything right here. Why would you say you taking
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: your buddy with you to help you playing everything just right?
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: The dog? He shouldn't have said it, but he shouldn't
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: have did it, because this is for your tenth anniversary. Man,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: you don't take special moments and include trickery. Yeah, that's
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: where the doggish part come in that man, And that's
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: what I'm a little ticked off with you about. He
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: said to be a quick trip. He's taking his buddy
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: with him to help him playing everything. He left on Friday,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: text me when he landed. Okay, it was a long flight,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: so he said he was going straight to his room
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: and get into bed. He did. I didn't hear from
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: him until folk him the next day. I tried to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: FaceTime him and he declined it. See why declined it?
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Just Let listen to me though. Decline it means you
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: saw it and hit the red button. Just let it ring.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: It's gold. Stop. Why are you declining it? You never
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: saw it? Stupid, can't center in the man. He calls
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: me back on a regular call a few minutes later,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: and it was loud wherever he was. He was at
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: the club. One of my girlfriends take me a picture
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: of a lady named Amber on a boat in can Koon.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I don't like Amba because she has been friends with
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: my husband for fifteen years and she acts like she
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: knows him a lot better than I do. Well she do.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: He took her on the trip. Now, let me tell
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: you how you got to picture Amber on the boat
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: in can Koon. Because one of the folk couples that
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: y'all went to one of the folk couples. Dude set
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: up here and took a picture, got a picture from
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: his boy of Amber or Amber is friends with one
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: of the girls, and sent how the picture tell about
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: we down here playing in the trip, and the girls
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: sent a picture to you Amber is in the picture
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: and Amber either center picture or the dumb ass husband
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: say yeah, man, me and me and Amber and his
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: boat we down here, and his wife saw it as
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: one of the other couples that you so stupid. Well
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: it didn't said that. Text me a picture of a
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: lady named Amber boat the girlfriend I don't like Amba.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I cannot help but think that Amber was whoever. My
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: husband was absolutely right. I called him back to back
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to back. He didn't answer, so I sent him at
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: least ten text messages. We've all been here. He finally responded,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: And then this is what this fool said. Yes, Amber
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: is helping me playing your weekend getaway, and yes she
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: is here with me. He knows he's wrong. Dog, What
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: are you nuts? It's no way I could have admitted
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: that I would even dare what the pictures say? Well,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I was the picture you got the pictures. I don't care. Oh,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I wasn't in a picture that is you. It's not me.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: That is your head in Mexico. You know how many
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: people in Mexico look like me? A lot? Done? They
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: found the one who did. How could his he ignored
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: me for then? Okay, anyway, he got home later that
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: night and tried to plead this case. I've ignored him
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: for over a week. He must think I'm stupid. How
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: could this place ever be special to me? Now that
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: he's taking Amber there? I told him to cancel the
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: whole trip, and I could understand you doing that, he said,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: I'm overreacting. Why couldn't he say he was going with amb?
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: He can't tell you taking Amber? You face time? He
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: declined it he in a loud atmosphere. He calls you
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: back later. I mean, come on, he should have never
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: took amb. But this is stupid on so many levels.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: It just ignorance, man, dog and Bro, you got to
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: with the bid, you the maid. You gotta lay in
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: this one. Bro, I'm sorry, I don't know. I don't
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: know what to tell you. This is ignorant. All right,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: You're so damned. Thank you? Steve. Post your comments on
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM, on Instagram and face.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: Check out the Bwberry Letter podcast on demand coming up
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: in forty six minutes after in Sports Talk with Junior.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: All right, ladies and gentlemen, Junior is here now with
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Sports Talk. What you got, Junior, please please just stop,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: just ease up on the Cowboys. God, they let me
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: tell you, baby, you can't make this up. This is
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: actually a true story. That was Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: and his girlfriend for two years, how with their separate ways? Now, yeah,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: she left them because they say it. The Beans say
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: she left because she couldn't see no ring coming. God,
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: lead colo. He gave his bitch shot his girl. Okay, Junior, Yeah,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: they say Dak got into the locker room and threw
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: his helmet and guess what. Somebody called it. Somebody accepted it. Dog,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Just do it. That manure of his girlfrid, Oh yeah,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: the picture of mine. You know the other thing too, man,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: This is how serious. Man. Everybody's really mad at Dak
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Prescott because Michael Parson's linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, says
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: that three out of the four quarterbacks in the in
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: the Championship Games. Three out of four quarterbacks in the
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Champion Games have rookie contracts. He's talking about Brock Purdy,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Javid Hurts still his rookie deal, and Joe Burrow. Now
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: that he's saying that wef we just get rid of
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: dak Prescott, maybe we can get some more talent in
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: here at quarterback. And he just put that out there. Man,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: that's not even really something you should be saying like
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: that because they just said yes. Man, it is like
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: they are internal over in Dallas. Man, they don't like him.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I mean, look, I don't want to see that go.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to see him go eat.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: I don't want to see that. I really don't want
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: to see him go. So is there a way to
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: fix the Cowboys? Is Daktor Prescott the man in Dallas?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Should he stay? Should he get another season? You know, Junior,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: you're asking if somebody who never gave damn by the Cowboys.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Let me just give your brief history moment. When I
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: was a little boy, the Dallas Cowboys was in the
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: North Division with the Cleveland Browns. I have grown up
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: since a boy hating the Dallas Cows the wrong person.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: I did. Now. When they broke up the AFC NFC
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: and the Cowboys went over to the NFC and the
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Browns stayed in the AFC, my hatred for them never ended.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: This is boyhood hate. I don't even know how to
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: rid myself of that. My bad luck. I didn't know
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: that far. I hated Mary Singleton as a boy to
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: this day, sixty six years later. He lived on my street.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Either another boy lived on my street. I just never
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: forget it, all right, hang all right, rolled it off
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: into the back of a Cohn bent my realm. I
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: didn't have no money form, no new realm. Coming up.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: At the top of the fan, Steve, a woman needs
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: your help. Right after this, you're listening to Steve Morning Show. Well, Steve,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: this one's for you. This one's from Derek on Facebook.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: He writes, I finally started dating again after a divorce
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: and two years off. These days, I share custody of
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: my with my wife, and I have my little girl,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Kelsey over every other weekend. The downside is that I
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: made the mistake of introducing the woman I've been seeing
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: to my daughter and have regretted it ever since. Even
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: though she's not a parent and has only known my
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: daughter for less than a month. She somehow got the
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: idea in her head that she has the right to
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: punish and discipline Kelsey when she comes over. It's led
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: to some uncomfortable moments and it needs to stop. Is
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: this the relationship killer that I think it is? The
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: relationship with my little girl is far more important, and
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: there's a line that's going to be crossed if I
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: don't control it. So yeah, just a deal, break it.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: It's better she don't understand it, you better, and if
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: the mama fund right? Dude, Kelsey, Mama, Man, it's not
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: good brocause I'm a little stunned anyway. What you finally
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: started dating after your divorce and waited two years? Who
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: do that? Yeah? I'm not really sure that's the truth, bro,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: because me and we don't. We don't wait two years
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: to date. That's not who we are, even if you
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: have a little girl to raise or whatever. Maybe he
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: was concentrating on his baborite, that's cool. Yeah, no, no, no,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: she got to go to sleep though. Somebody coming over here,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: somebody coming over here when baby go bad? Right now,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: two years we've been to move your bad time up
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: you've been get on, boy've been a lock on your
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: damn thought two years what you moved it up to?
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Bad time? Was that now? When you moving it up
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: to six thirty? We ain't got them on TVs in't
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: here nothing, no paid off all the internet in this house.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: Go off it. But daddy, I'm not sleeping. I didn't
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: ask you when you sleep. I said go to bed.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: And I don't give a damn what you're doing now, Daddy,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: I need some help with my homework. I don't know
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: about that damn homework. I got somebody coming over here.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: We can get the elf. We can deal with the
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: l want to fail? Are you want me to fail?
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Are you helping Derek? He needs your help here, Steve?
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: What what? What do you want? Shall? He wants to know?
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Is this relationship killer that he thinks it is, because yeah, okay,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: so he should do she and it disciplined in his
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: baby and dog. You got to get some permission. You've
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: on't eve been around for one month and you're talking
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: about she gonna cross the line. You already know what
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: it's going bro. Bro all y'all going out jail cack out.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: All right, here's another one, another relationship question from Tracy
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Steve uh. This is from Steve Steve Harvey dot com.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: It's been over two years since I was in a relationship.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I have a pretty active social life. I meet lots
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: of new people, but I just don't never seem to
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: meet anyone that I'm particularly attracted to. I'm afraid that
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: I'm going to spend the rest of my life alone.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Is there's something wrong with me? Should I be doing
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: something different? Yeah? First of all, why don't you quit
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: putting that into atmosphere that is something wrong with you?
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Am I doing something wrong? I'm socially in app Why
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: don't you stop saying that. It's been two years. If
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: you saying that, and so you keep attracting the wrong people,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: and you keep claiming that you're socially in app so
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: you keep winding up in the same situation. Positive affirmation
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: is the first thing you need to do that every day,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: in every way, I'm getting better and better. All right,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Thank you? That was good. Coming up at twenty minutes
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening show, all right,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: So Steve our last break, we were talking trying to
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: help Tracy, who said, you know, she's it's been two
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: years since she's been in a relationship. She has a
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: pretty active social life. She meets new people, but she
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: doesn't ever meet anyone that she's interested in. And she's
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: asking herself, is there something wrong with her? Should she
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: be doing something different? And you said, don't put that
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: out in the atmosphere first, what you know, like, is
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: it something wrong with her? I think only she can
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: answer that question. But now, what a lot to mistake
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: a lot of women do is they listen to other
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: people talking about girl, you too picky and all iss here.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: And there's no such thing as being too picky unless
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: you're underqualified for the things that a man has to
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: be qualified for. See, if you're looking for a man
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that's all that, then I hate to tell you these ladies,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: but you need to be all that too, right, That's
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: a huge part of it. And a lot of times
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: you go in here and you dump all this on
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: this man, but then the man wants something dumped on
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: him too. And if you're not gonna be what you're
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: looking for, what do you think a man who has
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: all that is looking? Y'all think we're just out here
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: because you got some lashes on. That's what you think.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: If you watch the African Famous and Rich. You've seen
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: that show. I don't know how they open their eyes
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: with the shows. Man, touch your eyebrows. Coming up in
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: thirty three minutes, thank you. See thirty three minutes after
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: the hour, we'll play a round off. Would you rather
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show, It is time
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: now for a round of would you rather? Would you
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: rather fight a tiger or a bear? Which one? Oh?
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: I'm losing one, but you have to you gotta ask
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: you a dad, I can't beat that. I can't out
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: run down one of them. I can't. That's that's that's
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: we out. Let me get it overway, give me a tiger. Clo. Okay,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I get that tiger. He packed tiger? He did? Yeah,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: all right? Would you rather play basketball with Michael Jordan
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: or Lebron James against him? Yeah? With them, with them,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: just to play just to what what is that fall?
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: But you would you rather be able to play with
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Michael Jordan or Lebron Jacks? It's just what you play
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: play basketball with. You should have said something else, like,
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: you know, man, we gonna play golf. You don't want to.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: You don't want to play basketball? No, I don't want
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: to as well play against the band the Tiger. I mean,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: what is sixty six play on? It ain't even gonna
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: look like basketball. It's gonna really happen the Tiger. Yeah,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: we just playing the game, guys. Okay, all right, we're
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: getting back to the animals. Now. Would you rather put
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: your head in a lion's mouth or would you rather
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: water ski over a shark tank? Okay, okay, I don't know, Yeah,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: answer the question. Question, that's all putting my head in
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: no lines month. I showed them want the word skiing,
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: no shark tank, but give me the shark tank. I
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: can't say. Yeah, I mean I'm on skis, you know.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: That's all I can tell you. Well, Hello, you think
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: you're gonna be on and you know I started screaming, Yeah,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: we're just gonna be standing here all damn. I'm not
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: going in there. I'm not gonna put my head. I'm sorry.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: All right, what you do? We're moving on because you
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: guys suck? All right? Would you rather have hands that
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: kept growing as you got older or feet that kept
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: growing as you get older. What where you get these
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: looks like? Yeah, yeah, you would look like the hobby.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: Now I'm just sitting up in here bathfoot in where
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: I go. Ye six your feet look at them? Eighteen?
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: All right? All right? Coming up in forty nine minutes
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll have our last break of the
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: day and we'll get some closing remarks from the one
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening to
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the Steve Morning Show. It is time now for today's
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: closing remarks. But Steve, before we get to you, um,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: we have to say a prayer for the victims of
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: an extra alarm fire that happened on yesterday in Chicago
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: and a Kinwood neighborhood. It was in a high rise building.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: According to the Black Information Network, this fire burned through
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: several floors. According to city records, this building has been
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: sighted from multiple city code violations. Investigators are looking into
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: the cause of the fire, and all we can say is,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: please keep listening to our homestation in Chicago. That would
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: be B one oh three for more on this developing story,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: and definitely our prayers are going on. That's horrible. I
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: saw the debris. I saw it on the news of
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: debris flying from the building. Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, Praying
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: for the victims and their families. So sad. There's so
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: much going on, many, so much going this world in
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: which we live. You know, it's a lot, you know,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: we sometimes man, even myself, I just found myself at
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: a loss with what happens on the news in this country.
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Because I've been very fortunate, and God has graced me
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: to be able to travel to many, many different places.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: I think traveling has really opened up my eyes to
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: a lot of things. Because I was very very Americanized,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I was very very Western, because that's why I grew up. Now,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: I had a disadvantage growing up because of who I was,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: the color of my skin, that age, the period that
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: I grew up in. But through God's grace, I got
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: through and I'm here now and it affords me an
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: incredible life that almost almost never really saw coming. To
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: be honest with you, That's how I know its God's grace,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: because I didn't. I didn't plan it this way. You know.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I had some hopes and dreams and some visions, but
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I certainly cannot tell you that I mapped this out.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I just didn't, man. And the more I travel, the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: more I've been awakened and understanding of just everything. Man,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: we have been fed so much misinformation about other parts
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: of the world. It's alarming. It's alarming. And our country's
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: attitude of superiority is well noted around the world. Now,
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: is America admired in some places? Yes? Yes. Do people
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: aspire to come there for opportunity, to come here for opportunity? Yes? Yes.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: Do they have any idea what all is over here?
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I promise you you don't. I promise you you don't.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I talk to Africans all the time about their strong
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: desire to get to the state because they see, you know, opportunity.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: They see all these videos, they see these people who
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: are thriving, surviving, They see all that. But you got
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to pull the curtain back so you can see all
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: of it. And it's it's really man. If we could
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: tie the two nations together, if African Americans could understand
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: the value of going to Africa and understanding what's actually there,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: if we could bridge that gap, that would be a
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: solving of so many problems. And you know, you do
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: you know that Africa is the only continent on Earth
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: that does not have to import anything. They don't need
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: your food. They have it there. They have the resources.
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: Now they don't have the roads and the infrastructure to trade.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: But they got food over there. They got all the fruits,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: they got all the animals, they have everything over there.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: They got all the minerals, they have everything. Africa doesn't
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: need to import anything. America has to import resources, Russia
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: has to import stuff. Everywhere I go has to import
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: with the exception of Africa. But yet, and still that's
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: such a cry to leave there to come here. Man,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: if we could go there and look at the opportunities
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: that were available. Africa is the fastest growing continent on Earth.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: American business don't want you to know that because they
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: over there taking They're not investing in Africa. They're stripping
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: it like they always have. They started by stripping it
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: of their people. How do you think America got built?
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: First they stripped it of the people. Then they went
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: over they went, whoa, they have all the resources. So
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: then they began stripping the resources. So then the really
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: slick part came about when they said, wow, if we
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: don't help them and leave them in these remote areas
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: where they don't have access to water and simple things.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: We come in dig a well in exchange for ownership
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: of all this land and everything that's in it. So
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: not just out of pure survival. Yes, dig us this well.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: Bring your technology to dig the well. Now we got
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: water or now they've given up their resources. The stripping
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: of Africa has been going on for hundreds of years.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: If African Americans would go to Africa and learn the
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: opportunities and take your money and invest in infrastructure and housing,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: in agriculture, that's so much to do over that it
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: would strengthen the continent. That's the longer conversation than I
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: have time for to take. But just travel so you
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: can see the world for what it is instead of
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: what America has made you believe it to be. Those
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: are my close remarks today. Hey, listen, y'all talk to God.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: He'd love to hear from you. Okay. For all Steve
