- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is Verdict with center, Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with
- 0:04Speaker 2: you live from the Republican National Convention, and we've.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Got an audience out there. I love it.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Senator, this is the first morning I have ever woken
- 0:17Speaker 2: up truly believing that Joe Biden is going to drop
- 0:22Speaker 2: out of this presidential race. I've never believed it was
- 0:26Speaker 2: possible before this morning. I want to get your initial
- 0:29Speaker 2: reaction to that.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Well, listen, if only someone could have predicted that before
- 0:33Speaker 3: this week, I know, right. So, for regular Verdict listeners,
- 0:37Speaker 3: you will recall that this podcast ten months ago, ten
- 0:42Speaker 3: months ago, we predicted that Joe Biden would drop out
- 0:45Speaker 3: of this race, that the Democrats would throw him out.
- 0:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:48Speaker 3: And we predicted ten months ago that he'd be replaced
- 0:50Speaker 3: by Michelle Obama.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 0:51Speaker 3: And at the time, the corporate media treated that prediction
- 0:55Speaker 3: as utter moon bat insanity, insanity like complex deletely nuts.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Do we want a prize for ten months ago? By
- 1:03Speaker 2: the way, I got to give you the brainchild of
- 1:04Speaker 2: it ten months ago.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I'll give you full credit. Do we get a prize
- 1:07Speaker 1: for that?
- 1:07Speaker 3: I think we certainly should get a prize, But look,
- 1:10Speaker 3: I think it's going to happen. I think it is
- 1:12Speaker 3: going to happen within the next week. And we have
- 1:16Speaker 3: seen we've seen the momentum building and building and building.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And look, I got to tell you, and you and
- 1:23Speaker 3: I have talked about this. I have mixed sentiments at
- 1:25Speaker 3: this convention. On one side, I am thrilled. I am
- 1:30Speaker 3: excited because the party is unified. It's unified at a
- 1:33Speaker 3: level I've never seen. I've been to a lot of con.
- 1:36Speaker 1: A lot of conventions. What was your first one?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Nineteen ninety two. I was at nineteen ninety two. I
- 1:41Speaker 3: had just graduated from college. I was twenty one years old.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Nineteen ninety two, was in Houston.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Oh, there you go.
- 1:47Speaker 4: And it was.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Actually it was the last public speech Ronald Reagan ever gave.
- 1:52Speaker 3: And actually just after the convention they announced he had Alzheimer's,
- 1:55Speaker 3: so it was his last public address.
- 1:57Speaker 4: And so for his speech, it was very cool.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Texas de Gation was in front because it was in Houston,
- 2:02Speaker 3: and they decided they wanted all the college kids down front.
- 2:05Speaker 3: They wanted to show that the Republican Party is young
- 2:08Speaker 3: and vibrant. So all the college kids we were in
- 2:10Speaker 3: that we were put up front. So I was in
- 2:11Speaker 3: the front row for Reagan's last public address.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I'm jealous.
- 2:15Speaker 3: And here's something really cool. At the time, Heidi was
- 2:19Speaker 3: in college. She was at Claremont McKenna. She was the
- 2:21Speaker 3: president of the College Republicans at Claremont McKenna out in California.
- 2:25Speaker 3: She was at the convention and she was in the
- 2:27Speaker 3: front row with the Texas delegation.
- 2:29Speaker 4: And we didn't meet. I said, did you meet? No,
- 2:31Speaker 4: we didn't meet until eight years later. Wow.
- 2:33Speaker 3: But every time I see photographs of that convention, I
- 2:35Speaker 3: like scan them to see if someone somehow got a
- 2:37Speaker 3: picture of Heidi and me standing near each other, because
- 2:40Speaker 3: we were very close to each other. So the point is,
- 2:43Speaker 3: I've been to a lot of these I have never
- 2:45Speaker 3: seen unity like this last couple of days. As you know,
- 2:49Speaker 3: I've done a ton of media interviews, and you listen
- 2:51Speaker 3: to the reporters.
- 2:52Speaker 4: They're losing their minds. They're so unhappy.
- 2:54Speaker 3: They're like, you guys are so difide yea, and they're furious,
- 3:00Speaker 3: like it.
- 3:01Speaker 2: We know not how to screw things up well in
- 3:02Speaker 2: the Republican Party. When it comes to unity, this does
- 3:04Speaker 2: feel very different.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Everyone is on the same page.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Everyone is united, Everyone wants Trump to win in November.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Everyone wants to win the Senate, everyone wants to win
- 3:13Speaker 3: the House. But you and I have also talked about this.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I'll tell you what I'm scared about. I'm scared about overconfidence.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I couldn't agree more.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Look, there is an aspect of this convention that feels
- 3:25Speaker 3: like a celebration, and I get that. But my message
- 3:29Speaker 3: to everyone at this convention is it is not time
- 3:32Speaker 3: to celebrate. We'll celebrate after election day. We need work
- 3:36Speaker 3: to do.
- 3:36Speaker 4: We have a.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Job in front of us, and listen, I think we're
- 3:40Speaker 3: going to come out of this convention. I think we'll
- 3:42Speaker 3: see a bounce in the polls, and then I think
- 3:45Speaker 3: within days or even hours, the Democrats are going to
- 3:50Speaker 3: announce Joe Biden is no longer our nominee. They're going
- 3:53Speaker 3: to pull them off, and the media is going to
- 3:56Speaker 3: reset the entire race. They're going to do everything they
- 3:59Speaker 3: can to take away the momentum from this convention, and
- 4:01Speaker 3: so nobody here should get over confident because this becomes very,
- 4:06Speaker 3: very dangerous, and the media is going to do everything
- 4:08Speaker 3: they can to say, well, Joe was old, but now
- 4:11Speaker 3: we're going to replace them with someone young. Everything solved,
- 4:14Speaker 3: Move on forward.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Let me tell you about Patriot Mobile.
- 4:17Speaker 2: If you have a cell phone, and probably nine nine
- 4:19Speaker 2: percent of you do, you may not know that when
- 4:22Speaker 2: you pay your monthly bill every month the big mobile,
- 4:25Speaker 2: that you are giving big donations by default to democratic causes,
- 4:30Speaker 2: candidates and organizations, including organizations like Planned Parenthood. That is
- 4:36Speaker 2: why Patriot Mobile was started about ten well over ten
- 4:39Speaker 2: years ago, more than a decade ago. Patriot Mobile is
- 4:42Speaker 2: America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. And when I say only,
- 4:47Speaker 2: I mean it now. Patriot Mobile is incredible because they
- 4:50Speaker 2: actually take about five percent of your bill every month,
- 4:53Speaker 2: that no extra cost to you, and they give it
- 4:56Speaker 2: back to conservative causes and organizations. Yes, that support your
- 5:01Speaker 2: First and your Second Amendment rights, support the free speech,
- 5:05Speaker 2: support this sanctity of life. And that is why I
- 5:08Speaker 2: love Patriot Mobile. Now I switch to Patriot Mobile, and look,
- 5:11Speaker 2: there's a lot of people that say, I don't know
- 5:13Speaker 2: about switching.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I need my great coverage I have. Now.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Look in twenty twenty four, you're using the same exact
- 5:19Speaker 2: cell towers. When you switch to Patriot Mobile, you're gonna
- 5:22Speaker 2: get the same coverage that you're used to and when
- 5:26Speaker 2: you pay your bill every month, you know you're setting
- 5:27Speaker 2: up for the values that you believe in. Switching has
- 5:30Speaker 2: also never been easier. You don't even have to go
- 5:33Speaker 2: to a store. You just have to call them and
- 5:35Speaker 2: they do everything over the phone.
- 5:37Speaker 1: It is easy.
- 5:38Speaker 2: They have one hundred percent Uspace Customer Service team because
- 5:42Speaker 2: they believe in actually employing great Americans, and they make
- 5:47Speaker 2: switching that much easier. So keep your same cell number
- 5:50Speaker 2: you have now, keep your phone you've got, or upgrade.
- 5:53Speaker 2: The team will help you find the best plan for
- 5:54Speaker 2: your needs and you make a difference in what you
- 5:57Speaker 2: believe in every time you make a call. Just go
- 5:59Speaker 2: to Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict that's Patriot Mobile
- 6:04Speaker 2: dot com slash verdict or nine seven to two Patriot.
- 6:08Speaker 2: That's nine seven to two Patriot get free activation when
- 6:12Speaker 2: you use the offer code verdict join me. Make the
- 6:15Speaker 2: switch today and make a difference with every phone call
- 6:17Speaker 2: you make. Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict or nine seven
- 6:21Speaker 2: to two Patriot. The media has already started to write
- 6:23Speaker 2: the obituary earlier today MSNBC.
- 6:26Speaker 4: It helps because he's been dead for.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Three very true.
- 6:30Speaker 2: They said on I want you to listen to this
- 6:33Speaker 2: clip because it's an interesting clip.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And they said on MSNBC they're so ready to be
- 6:37Speaker 1: done with him.
- 6:38Speaker 2: They said, Joe Biden, obviously as COVID, and they said
- 6:42Speaker 2: he is quote self isolating both medically.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And politically. Listen, get up to dat though, with what's
- 6:52Speaker 1: happened happening in Milwaukee. Also what you're hearing from the
- 6:56Speaker 1: Biden campaign.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll start with the Biden campaign, Joe, and exactly
- 7:02Speaker 5: right about the sequencing. So on your air, I talked
- 7:06Speaker 5: about the fact three weeks ago that there was an
- 7:09Speaker 5: effort among top Democrats to give President Biden the chance
- 7:13Speaker 5: to walk off the stage. They said, he is proud,
- 7:16Speaker 5: he's stubborn, we love him, we appreciate him. We want
- 7:20Speaker 5: to give him the chance to walk off the stage.
- 7:24Speaker 5: President Biden, in the view of these top Democrats, did
- 7:26Speaker 5: not take the hint and the way that one top Democrat,
- 7:31Speaker 5: someone very close to the West wing, put it to
- 7:34Speaker 5: me Sunday as I sat here on the floor of
- 7:37Speaker 5: this hall with my laptop doing reporting at the Republican
- 7:40Speaker 5: Convention about what was happening in the Democratic Party. They said,
- 7:44Speaker 5: we don't want to humiliate him.
- 7:47Speaker 1: That was the effort.
- 7:49Speaker 5: Then we saw this sequence yesterday and is my brilliant
- 7:54Speaker 5: colleague Zach Bossu puts it at the top of Axios
- 7:57Speaker 5: this morning. President Biden is now self isolating, both medically
- 8:03Speaker 5: and politically.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I mean, that's an obituary to his entire career. And
- 8:08Speaker 2: he says, what we've seen. Let's talk about what we've seen.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Every aspect of the Democratic Party has now run him entirely,
- 8:17Speaker 2: turn on him completely. Ye, you've got the Clintons. They're
- 8:19Speaker 2: saying you're done. The Obama's saying you're done, Schumer saying
- 8:23Speaker 2: you're done, Pelosi saying you're done, Jeffreys saying you're done,
- 8:27Speaker 2: Holly media saying you're done, the donors saying you're done,
- 8:30Speaker 2: Hollywood saying you're done.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Everyone, How the.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Hell does this guy? He won't survive this.
- 8:35Speaker 3: He doesn't. And look, you and I we predicted this
- 8:39Speaker 3: ten months ago. And then the night of the debate.
- 8:43Speaker 3: You and I did a podcast the night of the debate,
- 8:46Speaker 3: immediately after the debate, and I said that night, Biden's done.
- 8:50Speaker 3: He is no longer the nominee. He will be chased out.
- 8:53Speaker 3: It'll take a few weeks for it to happen. But
- 8:55Speaker 3: this is what's going to happen. Why, because the Democrats
- 8:58Speaker 3: are terrified they're going to lose. Now, it's worth noting
- 9:01Speaker 3: none of them care that we have a commander in
- 9:04Speaker 3: chief right now with dementia. Has a single Democrat said, well, gosh,
- 9:08Speaker 3: if he's so mentally diminished, he needs to resign as president.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Nobody said that, not a single Democrat. Apparently they're fine
- 9:16Speaker 3: with him having his finger on the button. Now, mind you,
- 9:18Speaker 3: there comes a point where you take the keys away
- 9:20Speaker 3: from grandpa. Yes, but it's even scary if the keys
- 9:23Speaker 3: are attached to ICBMs. Yes, but the Democrats aren't doing that.
- 9:27Speaker 3: The only reason they're bailing on Biden is because the
- 9:31Speaker 3: American people in the debate saw that and said, holy crap,
- 9:34Speaker 3: that man can't tie his shoes, and we're going to lose.
- 9:37Speaker 3: And they're suddenly protecting their rear end. Now, when you
- 9:40Speaker 3: and I have been predicting it, people have asked, how
- 9:42Speaker 3: does this happen? And you go back, go back to
- 9:44Speaker 3: Richard Nixon. Yep, when Richard Nixon stepped down, Listen, he
- 9:48Speaker 3: didn't do so because he just said, well, gosh, I
- 9:50Speaker 3: want to leave. He did so because a half dozen
- 9:53Speaker 3: old bulls from the Senate, old Republican senators went to
- 9:56Speaker 3: the Oval office and they said, mister President, you're done,
- 10:00Speaker 3: and he resisted. And let's be clear, they didn't just
- 10:03Speaker 3: rely on persuasion.
- 10:06Speaker 4: They said, if you don't.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Resign, the House is going to impeach you and we're
- 10:10Speaker 3: going to convict you.
- 10:11Speaker 4: So you will be removed.
- 10:12Speaker 3: And your only choice is do you want to do
- 10:14Speaker 3: it voluntarily or do you want us to throw yeut
- 10:17Speaker 3: of office? And that ultimately led to the president.
- 10:20Speaker 4: The president.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Now, in this situation, we've seen the equivalent of the
- 10:27Speaker 3: old bulls, the gray beards of the Democrat Party. All
- 10:30Speaker 3: of the constituent groups, one after the other after the other,
- 10:32Speaker 3: go to Biden say get out and get out, get out.
- 10:34Speaker 3: They initially did so quietly, quietly, didn't work. They then
- 10:38Speaker 3: have done so more and more publicly. And by the way,
- 10:41Speaker 3: if Biden were to dig in, if he were to say,
- 10:43Speaker 3: I don't care, I'm not going, they have a hammer.
- 10:48Speaker 3: The twenty fifth Amendment. I understand how the twenty fifth
- 10:50Speaker 3: Amendment works. All it takes is the vice president and
- 10:54Speaker 3: a majority of the cabinet and the vice president of
- 10:57Speaker 3: the majority of the cabinet. If they sign a letter
- 11:00Speaker 3: declaring that the president is unfit for office.
- 11:02Speaker 4: He is removed from office instantly. Instantly.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Now he can file a letter saying no, I am
- 11:07Speaker 3: fit for office, and then it goes to Congress and
- 11:09Speaker 3: it takes two thirds of both houses. But you know what,
- 11:11Speaker 3: Pelosi's turned on him, Schumer's turned on him. The Democrats
- 11:14Speaker 3: are terrified.
- 11:15Speaker 2: So they would accept it, is what you're saying. Yes,
- 11:18Speaker 2: So let me ask you this. If he doesn't drop out,
- 11:21Speaker 2: it's not.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Going to come to that. He's going to.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I don't think it's going to come to that. But
- 11:26Speaker 3: that's the hammer that they don't want to threaten that.
- 11:29Speaker 3: And and look the whole line about about dignity. They
- 11:33Speaker 3: don't want to have to threaten that. But he is
- 11:35Speaker 3: gone and so and in my view, there's lots of
- 11:39Speaker 3: speculation about about who the replacement will be. I believe
- 11:42Speaker 3: the replacement will be one of two human beings. It
- 11:46Speaker 3: will either be Kamala Harris or it will be Michelle Obama.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Those are the only two human beings I believe that
- 11:53Speaker 3: will be at the top of the take.
- 11:54Speaker 1: And if Kamala gets it, it's only because of logistics.
- 11:57Speaker 3: So actually, I think the logistics argument is completely overstated.
- 12:01Speaker 1: So explain that. Let's let's explain the people who just
- 12:03Speaker 1: exchargument the argument that the argument is we hold hold on.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Before we do that, let me explain why it's Kamala
- 12:08Speaker 3: or or Michelle Kamala is next in line. Now, a
- 12:13Speaker 3: lot of Democrats recognize that Kamala has limitations as a candidate,
- 12:17Speaker 3: and so there's some Democrats that are like, oh, what
- 12:19Speaker 3: are we doing? So you people hear people talking about
- 12:21Speaker 3: Gavin Newsom. I think the chances that Gavin Newsom is
- 12:24Speaker 3: at the top of the ticket are zero point zero
- 12:26Speaker 3: zero percent. And the reason why it's not complicated the
- 12:30Speaker 3: Democrat Party is structurally unable to push aside an African
- 12:36Speaker 3: American woman and replace her with a white guy like
- 12:39Speaker 3: their party would implode. They would I mean, you talk
- 12:42Speaker 3: about civil wars, they would have a civil war with muskets,
- 12:44Speaker 3: like a literal civil war. They can't do that, which
- 12:48Speaker 3: means all of the names bannied about, none of them.
- 12:51Speaker 3: You could have a primary and someone defeats her, but
- 12:54Speaker 3: if it's annoying in a successor, I don't believe their
- 12:57Speaker 3: party can do that, which means the only human being
- 13:00Speaker 3: on planet Earth who could push Kamala side is Michelle Obama.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Michelle Obama's obviously also an African American woman, but an
- 13:06Speaker 3: African American woman with much higher approval ratings. And I
- 13:09Speaker 3: think a much more dangerous candidate. Ten months ago, I said,
- 13:13Speaker 3: and I still say it today. If I were a Democrat,
- 13:15Speaker 3: I would be all in. I would be begging Michelle
- 13:20Speaker 3: because I got to tell you, look, sitting here as
- 13:22Speaker 3: a Republican who desperately wants us to win in November.
- 13:25Speaker 3: That scares the living daylights out of me. If Michelle
- 13:27Speaker 3: is the nominee, it is dangerous and everyone here better
- 13:31Speaker 3: understand we're in for the fight of our life if
- 13:33Speaker 3: it's her. Now, what is interesting is how much the
- 13:36Speaker 3: Democrat Party is circling the wagons behind Kamala.
- 13:39Speaker 4: And I think Kamala has risen.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Is that because it's easier logistically, That's where I asked
- 13:44Speaker 2: that question, Because the money's there, the campaigns there, it's seamless.
- 13:49Speaker 4: It's just seamless, bultedash, complete nonsense.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So people are saying, oh, well, Kamala is the only
- 13:55Speaker 3: one who can access the money. Biden Harris's raise, and
- 13:57Speaker 3: so that's why they'll do it. What uttered look imagine
- 14:02Speaker 3: because that's what everybody's saying, but everyone's saying it. Anyone's
- 14:06Speaker 3: meaning true. That doesn't actually hasn't run a presidential campaign.
- 14:09Speaker 3: It doesn't know how things operate. It's true Michelle Obama
- 14:13Speaker 3: can't access the money, and the Biden coffers what happens
- 14:17Speaker 3: the day Michelle Obama's announces the nominee.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I'm assuming they would start the campaign, start raising money.
- 14:23Speaker 3: And every Democrat, every grassroots Democrat, every activist, every donor
- 14:28Speaker 3: is suddenly goes from the despondency, depression, despair.
- 14:32Speaker 4: They're resigned.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Crap, we're gonna lose, crap's gonna Trump's gonna be president.
- 14:36Speaker 3: We're gonna lose the Senate, We're gonna lose the House.
- 14:38Speaker 3: They're in misery, and they wake up and hallelujah, hallelujah.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Michelle Obama is riding in to save the day and.
- 14:44Speaker 1: A billion dollars of free press, and.
- 14:46Speaker 3: They would raise a billion dollars within three weeks. Every
- 14:51Speaker 3: Democrat billionaire goes, holy crap, we've saved the world. Get
- 14:55Speaker 3: me my checkbook, and we're talking Michelle would raise it
- 14:58Speaker 3: in one hundred million dollar chunk.
- 15:00Speaker 4: There is no money problem.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Plus all the free media.
- 15:04Speaker 3: And the free media, so it is massive. The only
- 15:07Speaker 3: thing that can save us from that is if Michelle
- 15:09Speaker 3: says no. And I am praying. Look, Michelle, you and
- 15:13Speaker 3: I are not close. To put it mildly, but I
- 15:16Speaker 3: just want to say, man, you got a good life.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Ye you're kicking back. Martha's vineyard is really nice in
- 15:22Speaker 3: the summertime. I've told I've never been there, but I'm
- 15:24Speaker 3: told it's nice. Like you're kicking back, You're sipping charnay,
- 15:30Speaker 3: You're on a yacht, you're on a private jet, You're
- 15:32Speaker 3: paling around with movie stars.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Loves you.
- 15:36Speaker 4: You don't want to deal with the pesky.
- 15:39Speaker 3: You don't want to deal with us, you don't want
- 15:41Speaker 3: to deal with politicians.
- 15:42Speaker 4: You can't stand us.
- 15:43Speaker 3: So just live your life as a movie star and
- 15:47Speaker 3: a celebrity and don't bother with the gritty mess.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Now. I don't know if that's persuasive to her or not.
- 15:54Speaker 4: I will tell you.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I've heard people say confidently Michelle doesn't want it.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Maybe, And here's why I say maybe.
- 16:04Speaker 3: When they say Michelle doesn't want if they say well
- 16:06Speaker 3: she said she didn't want it. Okay, Well, you know politicians,
- 16:08Speaker 3: you could always believe what they say, like when they
- 16:10Speaker 3: say they don't want something, it's always telling the truth.
- 16:13Speaker 1: But they I don't want it. I don't want it,
- 16:14Speaker 1: but I do get to be on Air Force one
- 16:16Speaker 1: when I want it.
- 16:17Speaker 3: So they base it on the fact that Michelle did
- 16:20Speaker 3: not run in twenty twenty. Well, that's true, but it
- 16:23Speaker 3: is a very different decision to say, do I want
- 16:26Speaker 3: to run for president? Do I want to spend two
- 16:28Speaker 3: years going through the muck? Do I want to come Mary?
- 16:31Speaker 3: Do I want to go through every county in Iowa?
- 16:33Speaker 3: Do I want to go all over New Hampshire? Do
- 16:34Speaker 3: I want to go all over South Carolina? Do I
- 16:36Speaker 3: want to raise money nonstuff? Do I want to spend
- 16:38Speaker 3: two years of my life? It is all comes to me.
- 16:42Speaker 3: And by the way, Michelle knows it.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, She's witnessed it twice.
- 16:44Speaker 4: She went side by side with Baroxo.
- 16:46Speaker 3: She knows exactly what's entitled entailed in that.
- 16:50Speaker 4: That is a very different decision.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Than at three months two and a half months, co.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Michelle, we will have a coronation. Everyone will sing your Hoseanna.
- 17:00Speaker 3: We will hand you the nomination. You'd give one speech,
- 17:04Speaker 3: you'd do a debate, you do a couple of rallies,
- 17:06Speaker 3: and suddenly you're President of the United States. Yeah, there
- 17:09Speaker 3: are very few people on planet Earth that if you
- 17:11Speaker 3: walked up and said, okay, we'll make you president right now?
- 17:15Speaker 3: All right, Right, we got a studio audience here. How
- 17:18Speaker 3: many of you would say yes if we offered you
- 17:20Speaker 3: would you like to be president?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Would you say yes?
- 17:22Speaker 3: If they were okay, right now, we're getting nods, there's like, yeah, okay,
- 17:27Speaker 3: one guy said no, One guy said no, right, one
- 17:29Speaker 3: guy said no.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Out everyone here.
- 17:32Speaker 1: He lives at Martha's vineyard. By the way, I guarantee, right,
- 17:34Speaker 1: all right, guarantee.
- 17:35Speaker 3: It's an unusual cat that would say no to being
- 17:39Speaker 3: offered the coronation.
- 17:40Speaker 4: So Michelle scares me.
- 17:42Speaker 3: But I want to say something else to Republicans at
- 17:44Speaker 3: this convention and across the country.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Don't get over confident with Kamala.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great point.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I got to ask you about the twenty fifth in
- 17:52Speaker 2: a moment, because there's a lot of people asking questions
- 17:54Speaker 2: about that.
- 17:54Speaker 1: But let me tell you real quick about my friends
- 17:57Speaker 1: over chalk.
- 17:57Speaker 2: As I mentioned when you get older, you start to
- 18:01Speaker 2: get that fatigue that sets in and you feel like
- 18:03Speaker 2: you don't have that energy to go work out.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Maybe you started getting weight.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Well, I was one of those, and I'm now down
- 18:09Speaker 2: like over sixty pounds sixty three sixty four pounds since
- 18:12Speaker 2: last August.
- 18:13Speaker 1: And I started taking Chalk.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Why Because chalk helps you maximize your masculinity by boosting

- 19:39Speaker 2: it too. Everything that you just went through. The Democratic
- 19:43Speaker 2: Party is in disarray. They're depressed, the donors are depressed.
- 19:47Speaker 2: They feel like they're about to lose. I think anybody
- 19:51Speaker 2: that gets this opportunity, that could be Kamala Harris, will
- 19:54Speaker 2: reinvigorate the checkbooks, or reinvigorate the party, or reinvigorate every
- 20:00Speaker 2: candidate that's down balloted because it's a reset button. I
- 20:04Speaker 2: think the bump that we get out of this convention
- 20:06Speaker 2: could have instantly disappear with Kamala Harris because of all
- 20:09Speaker 2: of the news you're talking about. And I think the
- 20:11Speaker 2: amount of money she'll raise. But I also think the
- 20:13Speaker 2: thing is what Kamla is. She will also get a
- 20:16Speaker 2: billion dollars of free media. The media will obsess over her.
- 20:20Speaker 2: It changes the race completely.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Do you agree, I absolutely do what I will say.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Look, Republicans, people at this convention think rightly that Kamala
- 20:30Speaker 3: is a train wreck, that she's been an absolute disaster.
- 20:33Speaker 3: She's the borders are except she only went to the
- 20:35Speaker 3: border once as vice president. She and act even go
- 20:37Speaker 3: to the Rio Grand Valley. Everything she's touched had been
- 20:39Speaker 3: a disaster. She got clobber in the Democratic primary. There
- 20:42Speaker 3: are lots of reasons to say Kamala is not very
- 20:44Speaker 3: good at this, but you made the exact right point.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Imagine it with a billion dollars of free media, with
- 20:53Speaker 3: every media outlet hyperventilating saying, oh, she's a combination of
- 20:58Speaker 3: Mother Teresa, Oprah.
- 21:01Speaker 4: And Gandhi all combined.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Like you will see reporters running after her, throwing their
- 21:07Speaker 3: panties at her.
- 21:08Speaker 4: And by the way, that's just the men.
- 21:12Speaker 2: That those men, let's be clear about that, those are
- 21:15Speaker 2: identify as men.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Right, you never know and nowadays.
- 21:21Speaker 4: And it is a dangerous thing.
- 21:22Speaker 3: So listen, I think we beat Kamala, but everyone here
- 21:26Speaker 3: needs to be aware. We're not just going against Kamala
- 21:29Speaker 3: We're going against every corporate media outlet. We're going against
- 21:32Speaker 3: all of Hollywood. We're going against big tech, which will
- 21:35Speaker 3: elevate everything. They will do everything they can, and their
- 21:39Speaker 3: narrative will be you know what they'll say, Biden was
- 21:43Speaker 3: a great historic president, but he got too old.
- 21:45Speaker 4: We all get too old, and we fixed that problem. Now.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Now Kamalas is young and vigorous. She smiles a lot,
- 21:52Speaker 3: she laughs, and it drives us crazy. Yes, get ready
- 21:55Speaker 3: to hear that last so often.
- 21:58Speaker 4: You're going you're.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Gonna wake up at nights screaming and hearing the cackle.
- 22:02Speaker 2: They also believe that she's going to bring women together
- 22:05Speaker 2: for two reasons. One, they're going to make Roe v.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Wade an issue again and try to really bring feminists
- 22:11Speaker 2: and women out on that.
- 22:12Speaker 1: That'll be a core point of her campaign.
- 22:14Speaker 2: But two, just the overall history of women and breaking
- 22:19Speaker 2: the glass ceiling. She also is a minority. Yeah, so
- 22:23Speaker 2: you would have a minority female who would make history
- 22:27Speaker 2: while in re engaging women voters in the Democratic Party
- 22:32Speaker 2: and women that maybe are swing voters.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I think that's actually very, very dangerous.
- 22:37Speaker 3: It is exceptionally dangerous. And let's complicate it a little more.
- 22:41Speaker 3: If it is Michelle, if it is Kamala, who's the VP.
- 22:45Speaker 2: It's a great question. I honestly have not thought about
- 22:48Speaker 2: it much. I say that here's why. I'm like, do
- 22:51Speaker 2: you pick a man? Do you pick another woman? Do
- 22:54Speaker 2: you pick someone that's young? Do you pick someone that's
- 22:57Speaker 2: older that's not a threat to you if you don't
- 22:59Speaker 2: do well and for you? I mean, I've been so
- 23:01Speaker 2: focused on Joe Biden, and I'm going who's on the
- 23:04Speaker 2: short list.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I don't know if they would even know who their
- 23:06Speaker 1: short is yet. Who do you have?
- 23:08Speaker 4: Yeah, So I have a couple of thoughts.
- 23:10Speaker 3: One possibility that is a real possibility is Gavin Newsom.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I don't believe Gavin Newsom could be at the top
- 23:16Speaker 3: of the ticket, but I believe he would be a
- 23:18Speaker 3: very credible undraiser VP choice for either either Michelle or
- 23:23Speaker 3: Comma that that that is a VP choice. And mostly
- 23:26Speaker 3: Newsome comes with with with just a crap ton of
- 23:29Speaker 3: California monds.
- 23:30Speaker 4: And he's a good looking guy, he's smooth, he's slick.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Gavin Newsom reminds me of the comment about Bill Clinton,
- 23:37Speaker 3: he's an unusually good liar, and in Democrat politics, that
- 23:41Speaker 3: is a really good tribute. He is a gifted and
- 23:45Speaker 3: talented liar. Now I've also pointed out I consider Gavin Newsom.
- 23:49Speaker 4: I I want to actually name him.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Texas Realator of the Year because nobody has sold more
- 23:55Speaker 3: homes in the State of Thames than Gavin Newso, I
- 23:58Speaker 3: mean he could sell homes every we're in Texas. But
- 24:01Speaker 3: I'll also point out, all right, so Political Playbook, which
- 24:05Speaker 3: is every political junkie reads the playbook. It's kind of
- 24:09Speaker 3: a combination of news and gossip from politics. So Playbook
- 24:15Speaker 3: right now writes about a polling memo circulating among Democratic
- 24:18Speaker 3: Party officials that argues the best chance to defeat Trump
- 24:22Speaker 3: is with a new nominee independent of the administration, in
- 24:26Speaker 3: other words, not Kamala Harris. And look, we get that
- 24:28Speaker 3: Kamala in an open field is not the most attractive
- 24:33Speaker 3: political candidate for the Democrats, but I think they're locked
- 24:36Speaker 3: into her unless Michelle is doing it. But what's interesting
- 24:39Speaker 3: is what this memo argues. And it says based on
- 24:43Speaker 3: polling of who does well against Trump, it says the
- 24:46Speaker 3: strongest candidates. So this is polling for their presidential nominee,
- 24:50Speaker 3: but it says the strongest potential candidates are, in alphabetical order,
- 24:54Speaker 3: Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Pennsylvania go
- 25:00Speaker 3: Josh Shapiro, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
- 25:04Speaker 1: That's the one that keeps coming in my mind. A
- 25:06Speaker 1: double women woman ticket.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Look, that is certainly a possibility, and they're different philosophies
- 25:12Speaker 3: on vps. Sometimes a president picks a VP that is different,
- 25:16Speaker 3: that that is markedly different.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Think JFK picking LBJ.
- 25:20Speaker 3: You picked kind of totally different branches of the party
- 25:23Speaker 3: to unifif EI them. Think Reagan picking Bush. That that
- 25:27Speaker 3: that is one way to do it. Other times a
- 25:31Speaker 3: nominee reinforces the strength of a candidate, and think Bill
- 25:35Speaker 3: Clinton picking Al Gore. We're both young, relatively conservative Southern Democrats,
- 25:40Speaker 3: kind of doubling down. This is our message. I think
- 25:43Speaker 3: there is a chance they do that. But my guess
- 25:46Speaker 3: is I think the Democrats are less likely to pick
- 25:49Speaker 3: two women. I don't know this, but but I think
- 25:53Speaker 3: as I look at it, I would.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Set to bet tonight you go with Gavin Newsom.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Or Josh Shapiro, and Josh Shapiro is a they don't know,
- 26:03Speaker 3: Okay Shapiro, Josh Shapiro.
- 26:05Speaker 1: The audience says, Been Shapiro, not Josh Shapiro.
- 26:07Speaker 3: They will not pick Been Shapiro, although, boy, that would
- 26:10Speaker 3: be fun. Can Shapiro? Now that's that's that's a unity
- 26:14Speaker 3: ticket right there. Josh Shapiro is the governor of Pennsylvania.
- 26:18Speaker 3: He used to be the Attorney General of Pennsylvania. He
- 26:20Speaker 3: is widely perceived as a moderate Democrat. He's not very moderate,
- 26:24Speaker 3: but he's widely perceived as such. He's what passes for
- 26:27Speaker 3: a moderate in today's Democrat party. Now, look, Pennsylvania is
- 26:32Speaker 3: a state both sides view as very close to must win.
- 26:37Speaker 3: There are paths to getting to two hundred and seventy
- 26:39Speaker 3: electoral votes without Pennsylvania, but not many. Pennsylvania is probably
- 26:43Speaker 3: the single most contested UH swing state in this election.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Josh Shapiro is a popular governor, yep. And a popular governor, and.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Governors you will in that position.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Look it.
- 26:55Speaker 3: I think Shapiro would be dangerous. I'd be surprised if
- 27:00Speaker 3: she picked him. But I'll tell you Mark Kelly would
- 27:02Speaker 3: be a very dangerous candidate. I know Mark Well. Mark
- 27:06Speaker 3: is Look, he's a Navy veteran, he's a former astronaut.
- 27:09Speaker 3: He's a short, muscular, bald guy. And look, it's very
- 27:14Speaker 3: hard to call Mark Kelly a wuss. Yeah, Like he
- 27:20Speaker 3: seems that there's a reason that he has won decisively
- 27:23Speaker 3: at Arizona. He's also an affable guy, so he seems moderate,
- 27:29Speaker 3: he seems reasonable. His voting record is terrible, but he
- 27:33Speaker 3: comes across as very He comes across like he could
- 27:36Speaker 3: be a Republican.
- 27:37Speaker 4: So I could see.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I doubt Mark Kelly would be the nominee, but I
- 27:41Speaker 3: could see him being in the mix.
- 27:43Speaker 4: So I would.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Probably say Michelle slash Kamala, and I'd probably give Kamala
- 27:48Speaker 3: the edge right now. Part of that may be just
- 27:52Speaker 3: wishful thinking. I wanted to be Kamala, not Michelle. And
- 27:56Speaker 3: in terms of the VPS, I would say Shapiro, Newsome,
- 28:02Speaker 3: Kelly Whitmer.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I want to remind you about what's going on in Israel.
- 28:08Speaker 2: The people in Israel right now still very much desperately
- 28:11Speaker 2: need your help. They are absolutely under attack, this time
- 28:15Speaker 2: with a massive rocket attack that just came in from HESBLA.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Since October the seventh, attacks on Israel have increased, with
- 28:22Speaker 2: Iran and its proxies launching attack after attack, hundreds and
- 28:26Speaker 2: hundreds of drones and missiles. Israel and the Israeli people
- 28:31Speaker 2: are living with the harsh reality of terror every day,
- 28:34Speaker 2: and the need right now is bomb shelters. The International
- 28:37Speaker 2: Fellowship of Christians and Jews is on the ground right
- 28:40Speaker 2: now addressing all the urgent needs. And that's why I
- 28:44Speaker 2: want you to partner with IFCJ today. While praying for
- 28:48Speaker 2: the best, IFCJ is also preparing for the worst by
- 28:51Speaker 2: packing emergency bomb shelter kits that can be delivered immediately
- 28:55Speaker 2: to those in desperate need. And your life saving donation
- 28:58Speaker 2: today will help assemble and play these kits with enough
- 29:01Speaker 2: food and life saving emergency supplies for twenty people huddled
- 29:05Speaker 2: in a bomb shelter. The cost to put together and
- 29:08Speaker 2: distribute these kits is just two hundred and ninety dollars
- 29:12Speaker 2: and your gift will help save lives. And thanks to
- 29:15Speaker 2: a matching challenge from a generous ifc supporter, your gift
- 29:20Speaker 2: will be doubled in impact to help provide twice the support. Now,
- 29:24Speaker 2: all you have to do is call them triple eight
- 29:27Speaker 2: for eight eight IFCJ. That's eight eight eight four eight
- 29:32Speaker 2: eight IFCJ eight A eight for eight eight IFCJ. You
- 29:37Speaker 2: can also go online to support IFCJ dot org to
- 29:42Speaker 2: give that's one word, support IFCJ dot org to stand
- 29:47Speaker 2: with the people in Israel. Two final questions A do
- 29:52Speaker 2: they delay the convention? Number one?
- 29:55Speaker 1: And two?
- 29:57Speaker 2: If they delay the convention, will he step down at
- 30:01Speaker 2: the convention and then have that be the media or
- 30:05Speaker 2: does it come out before the convention?
- 30:07Speaker 3: All right, so the appellate lawyer and maybe has has
- 30:09Speaker 3: to say, I love that you asked A and two.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Yeah, like that's that. That's just kind of a fun outline.
- 30:15Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Just want just want to mess with you every once
- 30:19Speaker 2: while see if you're selling your game, right af B
- 30:21Speaker 2: Is that better.
- 30:22Speaker 4: That that is?
- 30:23Speaker 3: I like Roman numbers and outlines and and Z. But
- 30:26Speaker 3: but I'm not going to tell you I love ven diagrams.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I'm gonna leave that to say ven diagrams make make
- 30:33Speaker 3: my my cold cruel heart go pitter pat. Look, uh,
- 30:41Speaker 3: I don't think they delay the convention. They might, but
- 30:43Speaker 3: I doubt it, and they don't. Wait, I think this
- 30:46Speaker 3: happens within the next week. I think this could easily
- 30:49Speaker 3: happen this weekend. And and frankly, look, the Democrats are
- 30:52Speaker 3: smart by delaying till after this convention. This convention kill
- 30:56Speaker 3: them a minute has been phenomenal, and and the media
- 31:00Speaker 3: will treat whoever parachutes in the media will treat it
- 31:04Speaker 3: as a brand new race, ignore anything that happened before.
- 31:08Speaker 3: We're brand new, starting over, and so I think they
- 31:10Speaker 3: want to get on with that quickly. So my prediction,
- 31:14Speaker 3: by the way, if you want to think about momentous
- 31:18Speaker 3: and historic weeks in politics, on Saturday, the forward president
- 31:24Speaker 3: of the United States was shot, the first presidential assassination
- 31:28Speaker 3: attempts since nineteen eighty one. Immediately thereafter, we've had an
- 31:34Speaker 3: incredibly successful convention, We've had a vice presidential nominee named,
- 31:39Speaker 3: and it could be within a week of that, because
- 31:42Speaker 3: I could easily see it being this weekend. Joe Biden
- 31:46Speaker 3: is off the ballot, and we have a new Democrat nominee,
- 31:49Speaker 3: and there's chatter, there's some of the pundits that are saying, oh,
- 31:52Speaker 3: we ought to have an open primary, we got to
- 31:53Speaker 3: have Democrats fighting, going to happen. I don't believe that
- 31:56Speaker 3: will happen. They will coorroinate, and I think it'll be
- 31:59Speaker 3: one of the two.
- 32:00Speaker 2: My bonus question is either three or c depending on
- 32:02Speaker 2: how you want to enlist these. How many times will
- 32:06Speaker 2: Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama debate Donald Trump?
- 32:09Speaker 1: Once? We'll have one debate, just one debate.
- 32:11Speaker 4: We will have one band.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Could they get away with saying I'm not going to
- 32:14Speaker 2: debate now, No, even if it's Michelle.
- 32:17Speaker 3: I think they will do one debate. I think they
- 32:19Speaker 3: will feel like it's not credible if you don't do
- 32:22Speaker 3: a debate, particularly because.
- 32:24Speaker 2: If you're Trump, do you push for two? I would yeah,
- 32:28Speaker 2: but they say it's a reset. We're doing two of
- 32:29Speaker 2: these suckers before November.
- 32:31Speaker 3: But I don't think they'll end up doing it. Look,
- 32:33Speaker 3: I think Trump may well push for two. Part of
- 32:35Speaker 3: the reason if you're a Democrat everyone concedes Trump mopped
- 32:38Speaker 3: the floor with Biden. I think it's a Democrat. You
- 32:41Speaker 3: don't want that to be the only debate. If you're
- 32:42Speaker 3: putting someone new, you'd need something credible. I will tell you,
- 32:47Speaker 3: I just came from a meeting that that jad Vance
- 32:49Speaker 3: met with all the senators. We're congratulating him, and he
- 32:52Speaker 3: did have a very funny thing he shared with us.
- 32:54Speaker 3: He said, you know, he was talking to to Trump about, well, okay,
- 32:58Speaker 3: who are we going to face?
- 32:59Speaker 4: Is going to be someone new? Is it going to
- 33:01Speaker 4: be Kamala? And and and and.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Jad said well, well, look, mister President, I said, yes,
- 33:06Speaker 3: assuming I got to debate Tamala. If they actually bring
- 33:09Speaker 3: in someone that's a really good debater, I may have
- 33:12Speaker 3: to rethink this. And Trump said, no, backing out. You
- 33:14Speaker 3: accepted that thing. You're stuck.
- 33:16Speaker 1: You'rein't going anywhere.
- 33:18Speaker 4: But look that.
- 33:21Speaker 3: I I think they'll do it fast. By the way,
- 33:25Speaker 3: I will point out the night of the debate, when
- 33:27Speaker 3: you and I did a podcast immediately thereafter, we said
- 33:30Speaker 3: that night, this is the most consequential presidential debate in
- 33:35Speaker 3: American history. And the reason we said that is because
- 33:38Speaker 3: we said, I believe this will change the names on
- 33:42Speaker 3: the ballot in November.
- 33:43Speaker 4: And that has never happened.
- 33:44Speaker 3: There's never been a debate that changed the names on
- 33:47Speaker 3: the ballot. And that's exactly what that debate did. It
- 33:49Speaker 3: took a few weeks to play out, but I think
- 33:52Speaker 3: it is imminent. I think it is within days.
- 33:54Speaker 2: To everybody that's here in the hall, thank you guys
- 33:57Speaker 2: for joining us. It's nice to do a show here
- 34:00Speaker 2: at the convention. Senator cruise and I do this money
- 34:03Speaker 2: was a Friday hit that subscribe auto download button wherever
- 34:06Speaker 2: you are, and I have way.
- 34:08Speaker 3: How do you subscribe? Because because as you know, my
- 34:10Speaker 3: dad's eighty five. My father is my hero. But my
- 34:13Speaker 3: father points out all the time when I use the
- 34:15Speaker 3: word subscribe, he says, people my generation think magazine subscriptions.
- 34:19Speaker 3: They think you're gonna charge us uncosted anymore.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Doesn't cost any money.
- 34:23Speaker 3: And you pull so all right, a line I say
- 34:25Speaker 3: all the time on the trail, I say, if you're
- 34:26Speaker 3: under forty.
- 34:27Speaker 4: Subscribe to the podcast. If you're over forty, call your.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Kids or call your grandkids and ask them to help
- 34:32Speaker 3: you subscribe to the podcast. But it's real simple. And
- 34:35Speaker 3: I see a bunch of young people there laughing, Yes,
- 34:37Speaker 3: know how to do this, And like you call your parents,
- 34:40Speaker 3: call your grandparents and say, okay, give me your phone.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Actually, don't even tell them, just just take their phone
- 34:44Speaker 4: and it's here.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Pull it up, pull up podcast, hit subscribe and it
- 34:49Speaker 3: magically appears. You can set it to download, it'll magically appear,
- 34:52Speaker 3: and it's every Monday, every Wednesday, it's every Friday, and
- 34:55Speaker 3: we do this. Number one, if you subscribe to the podcast,
- 34:59Speaker 3: you you know what's happening. We predicted this ten months ago,
- 35:03Speaker 3: and by the way, nobody else was predicting this.
- 35:04Speaker 4: We were do we.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Get a letter from the media when they thought we
- 35:07Speaker 2: were moonbacks apologizing No?
- 35:09Speaker 1: Okay?
- 35:10Speaker 3: But number two, this is designed to equip you to
- 35:15Speaker 3: give you the tools when you're talking to your friends,
- 35:17Speaker 3: your family, young people, when you're talking to your classmates
- 35:20Speaker 3: in school and they're arguing, and to give you the
- 35:23Speaker 3: facts that the corporate media never reports. That's what we
- 35:26Speaker 3: try to do three times a week on this is
- 35:29Speaker 3: this is what you need to know to go and
- 35:32Speaker 3: persuade and win.
- 35:33Speaker 2: And I promise we will have an emergency pod if
- 35:37Speaker 2: and when Joe Biden drops out. That's a fair prediction, right,
- 35:42Speaker 2: I think that is a fair prediction. Grab it wherever
- 35:45Speaker 2: you can. Donald Trump's speech tonight, any any prediction last minute?
- 35:49Speaker 1: Will he needled Joe Biden?
- 35:51Speaker 3: Look, I think it is going to be substantially tamped down.
- 35:56Speaker 3: I think Saturday change the speech. In fact, I know
- 35:58Speaker 3: Saturday change the speech that I think prior to Saturday
- 36:02Speaker 3: the speech was going to be quite combative, and I
- 36:06Speaker 3: expect to see a lot of unity, a lot more
- 36:10Speaker 3: language seeking to bring people together. And look, we've seen
- 36:14Speaker 3: this throughout the convention. We talked about we did a
- 36:18Speaker 3: live podcast at the convention yesterday. I talked about when
- 36:20Speaker 3: I visited with President Trump yesterday, and I think Saturday
- 36:24Speaker 3: really had an impact on him, had an impact. I mean,
- 36:26Speaker 3: he kind of pulled me aside and said really quietly,
- 36:29Speaker 3: just said God saved me. And it was it was
- 36:34Speaker 3: quiet and serious in a way that I think is
- 36:37Speaker 3: really consequential. And listen, I think it's you can't go
- 36:43Speaker 3: through what he went through Saturday, having been shot and
- 36:46Speaker 3: having been within a half inch of being killed. Amen,
- 36:51Speaker 3: without really thinking about God Almighty turning his head because
- 36:54Speaker 3: I believe that happened. I believe it was divine providence
- 36:57Speaker 3: that turned his head. And had it been slightly one
- 36:59Speaker 3: where the other, we would be having a dramatically different conversation.
- 37:03Speaker 2: No doubt about it. Always a pleasure at the convention.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Thanks to everybody that are here. We will see you
- 37:08Speaker 2: back here in a couple of days.
