Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: The Chinese owning of farmland in our country is a
- 0:05Speaker 1: massive national security issue.
- 0:08Speaker 2: And for the media, you can see the yellow is
- 0:11Speaker 2: where all of the farms have been purchased over the
- 0:13Speaker 2: last number of years, and the red is around all
- 0:16Speaker 2: of the military bases where that farmland has been purchased.
- 0:21Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Good Wednesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:27Speaker 4: the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got some major
- 0:29Speaker 4: stories we're covering for you. First up, not one, but
- 0:33Speaker 4: two major FBI investigations, one being launched into John Brennan,
- 0:39Speaker 4: the former CIA director, and James call Me, the former
- 0:42Speaker 4: FBI director, over their Trump Russia probe and lies. Is
- 0:46Speaker 4: accountability finally coming for those that were involved in the
- 0:50Speaker 4: collusion to overthrow the will of the voters. And that's
- 0:54Speaker 4: not all. The FBI is also releasing documents that now
- 0:57Speaker 4: show there was actual collusion, but it wasn't in twenty sixteen.
- 1:02Speaker 4: It was a plot that the Chinese had to sway
- 1:04Speaker 4: the twenty twenty election in favor of Joe Biden. Not
- 1:08Speaker 4: only that, we also have a huge story it is
- 1:11Speaker 4: going to protect American farmland, and also make sure that
- 1:15Speaker 4: Chinese organizations and those connect to the Chinese Campis Party
- 1:19Speaker 4: aren't buying up our farmland, especially close to our military basis.
- 1:23Speaker 4: It's the forty seven Morning Update, and it starts.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Right now, story number one.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Right now, the Democrats are doing what they do best,
- 1:31Speaker 4: trying to find a way to stop Donald Trump at
- 1:34Speaker 4: all costs. But we also know that there was a
- 1:36Speaker 4: lot of lies that were told about what Donald Trump
- 1:40Speaker 4: had been involved in or had not been involved in.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Is what the reality was when it came to Russia collusion,
- 1:46Speaker 4: and there were people that had top secret security clear
- 1:50Speaker 4: into the highest level that knew they were lying to
- 1:52Speaker 4: the American people over the issue of the Trump Russia probe,
- 1:56Speaker 4: a probe by the way, that turned into a coup
- 1:58Speaker 4: attempt to get rid of Donald Trump and make it
- 2:02Speaker 4: where he's no longer the president of the United States
- 2:04Speaker 4: of America. Well, now there may be some accountability for
- 2:07Speaker 4: those former top level government officials, as the FBI has
- 2:11Speaker 4: now informed the country that they have launched an investigation
- 2:15Speaker 4: into John Brennan and the former FBI Director James Comy
- 2:19Speaker 4: over that Trump Russia probe. The Big Lie, a coup attempt.
- 2:24Speaker 4: The Federal Bureau of Investigations launching their investigation into the
- 2:27Speaker 4: former CIA director John Brennan and, as I mentioned, the
- 2:31Speaker 4: former FBI director Camy over their roles in the investigation
- 2:35Speaker 4: surrounding President Donald Trump and Russia allegedly colluding, which they
- 2:39Speaker 4: knew was a lie. The Department of Justice sources now
- 2:42Speaker 4: telling Fox News that the CIA director John Radcliffe had
- 2:46Speaker 4: allegedly referred evidence of wrongdoing by Brennan to the FBI
- 2:51Speaker 4: director Caspittel, and added that a quote criminal investigation to
- 2:56Speaker 4: Brennan was opened and is under way quote unquote CIA
- 3:02Speaker 4: director John Ratcliffe referred evidence of wrongdoing by Brennan to
- 3:06Speaker 4: the FBI director Cash Matel for potential prosecution, is what
- 3:10Speaker 4: DOJ sources also told to Fox News Now. The sources
- 3:14Speaker 4: said that the referral was received, and told Fox News
- 3:18Speaker 4: that a criminal investigation to Brennan was open and underway.
- 3:21Speaker 4: The DOJ sources declined to provide further details now. It
- 3:25Speaker 4: is unclear at this point if the investigation spans beyond
- 3:28Speaker 4: his alleged false statements to Congress. Obviously, this is huge
- 3:33Speaker 4: now the report of Brennan and Komy reportedly facing criminal
- 3:36Speaker 4: investigation comes, as we have also learned through another report,
- 3:40Speaker 4: that Brennan may be exposed to perjury problems after Ratcliffe
- 3:44Speaker 4: had released an internal CIA review of what is known
- 3:48Speaker 4: as the Intelligence Community Assessment quote unquote regarding claims that
- 3:53Speaker 4: Russia had tried to influence the twenty sixteen presidential election
- 3:58Speaker 4: between Trump and the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Breitbart News Washing Bureau Chief reported this last week, saying
- 4:06Speaker 4: Ratcliffe declassified and publicly released an internal CIA review of
- 4:11Speaker 4: what is known as the Intelligence Community Assessment or the
- 4:14Speaker 4: simply the ICA of the claims that Russia tried to
- 4:17Speaker 4: influence the outcome of the twenty sixteen election. In a
- 4:20Speaker 4: post on x, Ratcoffe explained that the report underscores that
- 4:24Speaker 4: the twenty sixteen ICE assessment was conducted through a atypical
- 4:31Speaker 4: and corrupt process under the politically charged environments of the
- 4:36Speaker 4: former director Brennan and the former FBI Director James Comy. Again,
- 4:42Speaker 4: this is coming from the current CIA director now. Fox
- 4:45Speaker 4: News also added that while the full scope of the
- 4:48Speaker 4: criminal investigations into Brennan and Comy is unclear, two sources
- 4:53Speaker 4: describe the FBI's view of the duo's interaction as quote
- 4:58Speaker 4: conspiracy quote unquote. Now, as that's marinating, I want to
- 5:02Speaker 4: tell you about something else that we've learned about real collusion.
- 5:06Speaker 4: This time. We're now learning from FBI documents that there was,
- 5:10Speaker 4: in fact a Chinese plot to sway the twenty twenty
- 5:14Speaker 4: election in Joe Biden's favor. Take a listen to this
- 5:19Speaker 4: from Fox News pass Alert.
- 5:21Speaker 5: The FBI has declassified a trove of documents suggesting there
- 5:26Speaker 5: was a Chinese plot to sway the twenty twenty election
- 5:29Speaker 5: in Biden's favor. An intel source says in August twenty twenty,
- 5:34Speaker 5: the CCP tried to flood America with fake driver's licenses,
- 5:38Speaker 5: then give them the Chinese nationals so they could vote
- 5:41Speaker 5: for the Big guy using fraudulent mailings. A month after
- 5:44Speaker 5: the plot was discovered, Border patrol flagged twenty thousand licenses
- 5:49Speaker 5: at Chicago's Ohare Airport. These were scannable with credible barcodes.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Some even had the same photo and bioslapped onto them.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Thankfully they foiled the plot. Twenty thousand ballots could have
- 6:00Speaker 5: had a big impact. Remember Biden won Wisconsin, Arizona, and
- 6:04Speaker 5: Georgia all within that range. It's easy to understand why
- 6:07Speaker 5: Beijing wanted Joe. They had the whole Biden family on
- 6:10Speaker 5: their payroll. Meanwhile, Trump squeezing Chinese heads against the walls
- 6:13Speaker 5: with tariffs. But why are we just finding out about
- 6:16Speaker 5: this now. The FBI got this intel before the election,
- 6:19Speaker 5: and instead of investigating it further, they buried it. Former
- 6:22Speaker 5: Director Chris Ray even testified to Congress and instead of
- 6:26Speaker 5: saying the word China, he just screamed to Russia, Russia, Russia.
- 6:29Speaker 6: The intelligence communities consensus is that Russia continues to try
- 6:36Speaker 6: to influence our elections, primarily through what we would call
- 6:40Speaker 6: malign foreign influence, to primarily to denigrate Vice President Biden.
- 6:46Speaker 5: If this was a Moscow fake ID plot to help Trump,
- 6:50Speaker 5: Ray would have held a press conference. He should be
- 6:53Speaker 5: hauled back to Washington to testify immediately. If Democrats actually
- 6:56Speaker 5: care about democracy, they'd want answers.
- 6:58Speaker 4: But they don't. That's exactly why we're now finding out
- 7:02Speaker 4: exactly about what China was doing. You want to know
- 7:04Speaker 4: where the real collusion was, Maybe it was the Biden
- 7:08Speaker 4: in China. Don't ever forget how much money the Chinese
- 7:11Speaker 4: were giving the Biden crime family, not tens of thousands,
- 7:15Speaker 4: not hundreds of thousands, but millions and millions of dollars
- 7:20Speaker 4: we're coming in from the Chinese to the Biden family.
- 7:24Speaker 4: And the FBI documents now show the Chinese wanted to
- 7:27Speaker 4: sway the twenty twenty election in favor of Joe Biden.
- 7:30Speaker 4: And it's very clear that there's a lot more questions
- 7:33Speaker 4: that need to be answered, and the FBI, well, they're
- 7:36Speaker 4: doing a lot of the questioning right now now.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Story number two.
- 7:40Speaker 4: For the last several years, there have been major warning
- 7:43Speaker 4: signs about Chinese nationals connected the Chinese Communist Party buying
- 7:48Speaker 4: up literally hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland. What
- 7:52Speaker 4: was even more suspicious about the deals is how much
- 7:55Speaker 4: of the farmland was around our top military basis. Well,
- 8:00Speaker 4: there is now a move for a nationwide ban on
- 8:03Speaker 4: Chinese farmland sales. The Agriculture Secretary Rowlins announcing a new
- 8:08Speaker 4: National Farm Security Act plan which will implement a nationwide
- 8:13Speaker 4: ban on sales of US farmland to Chinese nationals and
- 8:16Speaker 4: other quote adversarial countries. It also includes mechanisms to clawback
- 8:22Speaker 4: existing Chinese own land, primarily near military installations. Now the
- 8:28Speaker 4: callback of already acquired farmland is obviously not an easy task,
- 8:32Speaker 4: but it was a central element of the plan, and
- 8:35Speaker 4: it is one that is well led by the Trump administration.
- 8:38Speaker 4: And it is a push to reclaim the land already
- 8:41Speaker 4: owned by these Chinese entities, leveraging executive action and federal
- 8:45Speaker 4: state coordination to reverse past acquisitions. We also know that
- 8:50Speaker 4: this is a multi agency US government effort, and they
- 8:54Speaker 4: are now demanding stronger oversight. This initiative marks a coordinated
- 8:58Speaker 4: effort with the US the Defense Department, Homeland Security, the
- 9:03Speaker 4: Treasury Department, as well as others tightening oversight of farmland transactions,
- 9:08Speaker 4: specifically near strategic assets and military sites. Rawlins also officially
- 9:14Speaker 4: joined the CFIUS to ensure security over agricultural investment for
- 9:19Speaker 4: national security purposes, and they wanted to reduce foreign holdings.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Already underway, The USDA data indicates now that Chinese farmland
- 9:29Speaker 4: ownership has declined now around two hundred and sixty five
- 9:33Speaker 4: to three hundred thousand acres of US farmland, down from
- 9:37Speaker 4: higher levels in prior years. Notably, major players like Smithville
- 9:42Speaker 4: Foods the wh Group have significantly sold land holdings now
- 9:46Speaker 4: at about eighty five thousand acres. But the question is
- 9:50Speaker 4: how do we get to the point where we are
- 9:51Speaker 4: allowing the Chinese to own farmlands, specifically around our most
- 9:56Speaker 4: secretive basis. Secretary Rawlings on Fox News Channel the ingram
- 10:01Speaker 4: Angle to explain all of this. Listen carefully.
- 10:05Speaker 7: Agriculture Secretary Brook Rollins is here to tell us more, Madam,
- 10:08Speaker 7: Secretary is good to see you tonight. So as of
- 10:10Speaker 7: twenty twenty three, this is going to shock the viewers.
- 10:13Speaker 7: China reportedly owned more than two hundred and seventy seven
- 10:17Speaker 7: thousand acres of agricultural land in the country. Is this
- 10:21Speaker 7: I mean? Is this a goal of ours now to
- 10:25Speaker 7: have China own zero percent? Could you get that back
- 10:28Speaker 7: from China? Tell us what's going to happen?
- 10:30Speaker 1: Well, first of all, how great to be with you again.
- 10:32Speaker 1: We had a wonderful event this morning announcing this. I
- 10:36Speaker 1: had Secretary of Homeland Security Christy Nome, Defense Pete Hegseth,
- 10:41Speaker 1: had a G. Pambondi, We had three of the country's
- 10:43Speaker 1: best governors. We had several people from the hill. This
- 10:46Speaker 1: isn't all of government approach.
- 10:48Speaker 7: What does that mean?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Well, what that means is that if we're going to
- 10:52Speaker 1: really ban China from buying our farmland or any foreign adversaries.
- 10:56Speaker 1: It's got to be the States have to lean in.
- 10:58Speaker 1: The federal government has to step up. We've got to
- 11:00Speaker 1: have executive orders out of the White House. A law,
- 11:03Speaker 1: there's a law needs to be passed. A lot of
- 11:05Speaker 1: bills have been filed, but it hasn't moved. I don't
- 11:07Speaker 1: know that America really understands, or at least our elected
- 11:10Speaker 1: officials allow.
- 11:12Speaker 7: China owned Smithfield Foods, one of the largest food processing
- 11:15Speaker 7: plants in the United States, land in their military basis.
- 11:18Speaker 7: I've covered this for twenty years.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Well it's now all changed is today? I mean today
- 11:22Speaker 1: we for the first time are saying no more banning
- 11:25Speaker 1: the sale of China farmland, working with the States, getting
- 11:28Speaker 1: the bills passed through Congress, having an executive order, but
- 11:30Speaker 1: also Laura looking at how to potentially claw some of
- 11:34Speaker 1: that back, especially that's a national security.
- 11:36Speaker 7: Issue one hundred percent of national security issue, food security
- 11:39Speaker 7: and national security Matter of Secretary. Earlier today, President Trump
- 11:43Speaker 7: made a comment about what to do with illegal immigrant
- 11:46Speaker 7: farm workers.
- 11:47Speaker 8: Watch there's no amnesty. What we're doing is we're getting
- 11:50Speaker 8: rid of criminals. But we are doing a work program.
- 11:53Speaker 7: But last week the President said something different in Des Moines.
- 11:56Speaker 8: We're going to sort of put the farmers in charge.
- 11:58Speaker 8: If a farmer's been with one of these people that
- 12:01Speaker 8: work so hard they bend over all day. We don't
- 12:04Speaker 8: have too many people can do that, but they work
- 12:06Speaker 8: very hard and they know him very well. If a
- 12:09Speaker 8: farmer is willing to vouch for these people in some way, Christy,
- 12:12Speaker 8: I think we're gonna have to just say, that's going
- 12:13Speaker 8: to be good. Serious radical right people who I also
- 12:16Speaker 8: happen to like a lot. They may not be quite
- 12:18Speaker 8: as happy, but they'll understand.
- 12:20Speaker 7: Well, I mean, Madam Secretary, which is it? Because first
- 12:23Speaker 7: of all, radical right, that's the majority of Americans want
- 12:25Speaker 7: every illegal immigrant apported four poles right, majority of Americans
- 12:29Speaker 7: want all legal immigrants. Americans always did their own farming.
- 12:33Speaker 7: You and I were growing up. Americans did their own farming.
- 12:35Speaker 7: There were a few foreign workers, but really not that many.
- 12:37Speaker 1: What's going on here, Well, I think, first of all,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and I was glad the President underscored this today. First,
- 12:42Speaker 1: no amnesty.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Under said, no amnesty. So to McCain, well, you know.
- 12:46Speaker 1: I think President Trump hopefully has earned a little more grace,
- 12:49Speaker 1: not grace, but a little more confidence than those, but
- 12:52Speaker 1: no amnesty. Second, mass deportations continue, but he has been
- 12:56Speaker 1: fairly specific that we need to make sure that we
- 12:59Speaker 1: don't compromise our food supply. So we are going to
- 13:02Speaker 1: mass support, but we have to make sure we focus
- 13:04Speaker 1: on the really bad guys first in the inner cities
- 13:06Speaker 1: La New York, et cetera. Number three, moving toward more automation,
- 13:10Speaker 1: but also moving toward an American based labor supply. You
- 13:13Speaker 1: and I have talked about this on screen, off screen,
- 13:16Speaker 1: that's the goal, and then finally for Congress, our Secretary
- 13:20Speaker 1: of Labor, and others to really begin to fix this.
- 13:22Speaker 1: The President is unequivocal in his support for farmers, but
- 13:25Speaker 1: also weighing that with his support for secure borders and
- 13:28Speaker 1: mass deportation ensuring we don't have that illegal population here.
- 13:32Speaker 1: He remains committed to that, and we're here to effectuate
- 13:35Speaker 1: that vision.
- 13:36Speaker 4: It is incredible to witness what President Donald Trump is doing,
- 13:39Speaker 4: not only making sure that our adversary is done on
- 13:42Speaker 4: our farm land, but also that we can protect our
- 13:44Speaker 4: food sources and our crops and also protecting American farmers,
- 13:49Speaker 4: and the President of United States of America also making
- 13:52Speaker 4: it clear that China is no longer going to be
- 13:54Speaker 4: calling the shots in the United States of America.
