- 0:02Speaker 1: with the money. This is Money Making Conversation. A multi
- 0:05Speaker 1: millionaire Christian entrepreneur dedicated to spreading wealth to the Christian
- 0:10Speaker 1: community by by providing opportunity, knowledge and resources to build businesses.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Some of our brands are Curl Bible, Sprinkle of Jesus,
- 0:20Speaker 1: Jumping Jack, Tasks, Alecazam Apps, and Credit Exterminators. Please welcome
- 0:27Speaker 1: to Money Making Conversation. I know she's on the phone
- 0:29Speaker 1: because she's called twice. She's ready to spread that information.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Dana Channel, are you you know? Listen? One thing that
- 0:38Speaker 1: you could honestly do to enough entrepreneur is disrespect their time.
- 0:42Speaker 1: So I just want to say thank you so much,
- 0:44Speaker 1: because you can make a lot of money in a conversation.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So I just wanted to make sure I was on time,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I didn't waste your time, and that other people that
- 0:50Speaker 1: were looking to listen um had our time. First of all,
- 0:55Speaker 1: are happy to have you. I was ready because I
- 0:57Speaker 1: knew you are a pot of cad. I know you're
- 1:00Speaker 1: going out. I know you you had the personality because
- 1:02Speaker 1: you don't have these many you don't have these many
- 1:05Speaker 1: brands and sit around and can't communicate. Communication is one
- 1:08Speaker 1: of your skill sets. Talk to us about that and
- 1:11Speaker 1: how you sit around and you and you and you decide,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and how you plan out your your brands and how
- 1:16Speaker 1: you communicate your brands. I mean, I think we have
- 1:22Speaker 1: to understand that even miss the media today. Dude, if
- 1:26Speaker 1: you can't communicate about what you believe, what your morals are,
- 1:30Speaker 1: what your vision is. You can believe in yourself all day,
- 1:32Speaker 1: but if you can't get other people to believe in
- 1:34Speaker 1: what you're doing. But I mean, you really don't have
- 1:36Speaker 1: a business. And I mean we're talking about entrepreneurship and
- 1:39Speaker 1: you know, being a CEO, your life is based off
- 1:43Speaker 1: of communication. And I think, um, you know it only
- 1:47Speaker 1: happens on the outside in public what you practice in private.
- 1:51Speaker 1: And I'm gonna be honest. I come from a father
- 1:53Speaker 1: who is a master communicator and he's just been one
- 1:57Speaker 1: of the things that I would say makes me who
- 1:59Speaker 1: I and today is my confidence within myself and I've
- 2:04Speaker 1: got and he's taught me how to believe in myself.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And so at home we are constantly practicing communication. Um
- 2:11Speaker 1: we have Oh my gosh, you're gonna think he's crazy. Ready,
- 2:14Speaker 1: for this. We have morning meetings about the smallest of things.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I remember when I was younger, we would even have
- 2:20Speaker 1: morning meetings about Okay, if something a family member disliked, Okay,
- 2:23Speaker 1: what are you gonna do about it? Let's negotiate a plan.
- 2:26Speaker 1: How are you guys going to overcome your disagreement? You know,
- 2:28Speaker 1: physical altercation wasn't allowed, but um, it's something that he
- 2:32Speaker 1: definitely prepared me to do. And I'm so grateful for
- 2:35Speaker 1: my father because I'm where I am today because of
- 2:39Speaker 1: his leadership. And where are you based it right now? Oh,
- 2:43Speaker 1: weren't Philly. Weren't Philadelphia. But my father is, um uncle Magic,
- 2:46Speaker 1: the hip hop magician. He's really well known. Um he
- 2:49Speaker 1: does he does celebrities, kid's birthday parties. He's a magician.
- 2:52Speaker 1: He owns a uh a children entertainment company. And he's
- 2:55Speaker 1: from New York. But then we migrated to Philly because, um,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it had been a little bit cheaper for some office space.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Like yeah at the beginning, Yeah, New York ate the move.
- 3:08Speaker 1: So so so your father was was an entertainer. Oh, yes,
- 3:13Speaker 1: he's a comedian, he's a he's a magician. So he's
- 3:16Speaker 1: done parties for Russell Simmons to Jay Z everybody, I
- 3:21Speaker 1: gotta get your father on the show now, so you
- 3:24Speaker 1: see that wasn't that wasn't in your bio nowhere. Now,
- 3:26Speaker 1: your father already got me inspired because I'm my my,
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'm an entertainer, my my, what when you stand up comic?
- 3:33Speaker 1: That's how I started, before I got into managing people
- 3:37Speaker 1: and writing sitcoms. And because I played a major role
- 3:39Speaker 1: in my whole life, you know, but being a magician,
- 3:42Speaker 1: a black magician. Yeah, I'm not even trying to brag,
- 3:46Speaker 1: but my dad is so much cooler than everybody else's dad. Well,
- 3:49Speaker 1: guess what I want to put him on Money Made Conversation.
- 3:51Speaker 1: But let's stay on just day, stay to you because
- 3:53Speaker 1: he made he built this brand through you, and you're
- 3:55Speaker 1: a great communicator. And one of the things you want
- 3:57Speaker 1: to talk about was generational wealth. Let's talk about that,
- 4:00Speaker 1: breaking breaking generational curses of poverty. She puts her family
- 4:04Speaker 1: in position to run her companies as they build legacy together.
- 4:07Speaker 1: The first company to gain international success was the Sprinkle
- 4:10Speaker 1: of Jesus App, which is the media company which she
- 4:13Speaker 1: then began to branch off to need to need base
- 4:17Speaker 1: front business and build an empire of profitable sources of income. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I think what happened. And really just to put it
- 4:25Speaker 1: in a nutshell because anyone listening, like, yo, you guys,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I don't want you guys to just listen to this
- 4:29Speaker 1: and just be inspired enough to oh my gosh, that
- 4:32Speaker 1: was so cool, Like it be inspired enough to actually
- 4:34Speaker 1: do something, you know what I mean. And so for me,
- 4:37Speaker 1: we learned really quickly with this social media generation. Of course,
- 4:41Speaker 1: I was getting popular on social media, on Instagram, on
- 4:43Speaker 1: the Facebook, and it's only took one time. Are you
- 4:46Speaker 1: listening very ready for this? It only took one time
- 4:49Speaker 1: for me to wake up and um, you ever did
- 4:51Speaker 1: you met him? Not gotten it? But there was a
- 4:53Speaker 1: little post on my phone and it said this image
- 4:56Speaker 1: has been deleted due to um infringement on the Instagram policy.
- 5:01Speaker 1: And so immediately that rose a red flag to me
- 5:05Speaker 1: and my father, and we're like, yeah, we're building a
- 5:06Speaker 1: brand in a business, but if your business is homeless,
- 5:09Speaker 1: if your business doesn't have a home, it's homeless. And
- 5:12Speaker 1: so at any point in time, your social media page
- 5:15Speaker 1: can be ripped from you. You are not the controller
- 5:17Speaker 1: of that. And so we built Sprinkle of Jesus app
- 5:20Speaker 1: and we started literally marketing UM. We knew that it
- 5:23Speaker 1: would gain a lot of momentum. We started um, you know,
- 5:26Speaker 1: selling in that purchases, selling advertisement. It was just such
- 5:29Speaker 1: a profitable platform for the Christian communities continue to share
- 5:32Speaker 1: their gifts. So for example, people um Christians with books
- 5:35Speaker 1: who just dropped businesses, they would advertise on Sprinkle of Jesus.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And then we were like, you know, I'm the oldest
- 5:43Speaker 1: out of nine, so more of my brothers and sisters
- 5:46Speaker 1: were coming to age. So we quickly said, okay, let's
- 5:49Speaker 1: make sure while building an empire, we each look at
- 5:52Speaker 1: their gifts and their talents and let's put them in
- 5:54Speaker 1: position of what business we think would be good. So that,
- 5:57Speaker 1: you know, because Sprinkle Jesus is based off of cool,
- 6:00Speaker 1: that we need to start building things that no matter what,
- 6:03Speaker 1: noble matter, if I'm not on social media anymore, if
- 6:05Speaker 1: you know, God forbid I die today, that my family
- 6:08Speaker 1: would still be able to survive. And so what we
- 6:10Speaker 1: did was is we started building need based businesses in credit,
- 6:14Speaker 1: in um taxes and things that aren't going nowhere, you
- 6:17Speaker 1: know what I mean, they aren't going anywhere, And we
- 6:20Speaker 1: started being the biggest advertisers on the sprinkled je app
- 6:23Speaker 1: with over eight million people. Now you are, first of all,
- 6:28Speaker 1: you when I you're catching me off gold, your your energy,
- 6:31Speaker 1: your do you really I gotta catch up here with
- 6:34Speaker 1: you because you really? This is not Can you come
- 6:37Speaker 1: back on my show? I'm already rescheduling you. First of all,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I hear whateveryone. I love you, so I'm down whatever.
- 6:44Speaker 1: You're so supportive to the community, and I couldn't imagine,
- 6:47Speaker 1: like legit, where so many people would be if they
- 6:50Speaker 1: didn't run into you. And so you have my attention
- 6:53Speaker 1: whenever good. Well, We're gonna be right back so I
- 6:56Speaker 1: can get more of your attention on my main conversation,
- 6:58Speaker 1: so I can catch up because you're you're wow. That voice,
- 7:02Speaker 1: the energy, she's a pot of gig of enthusiasm, she's
- 7:06Speaker 1: money making conversations. Queen should be right back with more
- 7:10Speaker 1: and I'll catch up. Hi, just Ra Sean McDonald, I
- 7:17Speaker 1: have I am ready for my interview now. My guest
- 7:20Speaker 1: is a multimillionaire Christian entrepreneur dedicated to spreading wealth to
- 7:24Speaker 1: the Christian community by by providing opportunity, knowledge, and resources
- 7:29Speaker 1: to build businesses. She's on the phone again. I think
- 7:33Speaker 1: I've I'm ready for her energy now she's uh awesome.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Please welcome back to the show, Dana Chanel. Dana, I'm
- 7:41Speaker 1: here now. Yeah, you had a number of things that
- 7:47Speaker 1: were they in your talking points the Curl Bible. We
- 7:51Speaker 1: just talked about Sprinkle of Jesus, which is number one
- 7:54Speaker 1: online Christian ministry, and mobile app jumping Jack Tax which
- 7:58Speaker 1: is a tax preparation in the software company, Alekasam Apps,
- 8:02Speaker 1: which is a mobile app building company, marketing and advertising,
- 8:06Speaker 1: and Credit Exterminators which is a credit repair company, and
- 8:11Speaker 1: financial literacy. So tell me what is your background? What
- 8:17Speaker 1: there's a lot of apps going on here? Well, you
- 8:21Speaker 1: could say that there's a lot of apps going on,
- 8:23Speaker 1: but I'm gonna be honest with your Rashan. I just
- 8:26Speaker 1: paid attention to what was happening around me. A lot
- 8:29Speaker 1: of the time when we're not successful entrepreneurs is because
- 8:31Speaker 1: we're so we're so gun hole on the fact of Oh,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I want to do what makes me happy. I want
- 8:36Speaker 1: to do what I'm passionate about. But bro, these successful
- 8:39Speaker 1: companies out here are killing you. And so my thing
- 8:42Speaker 1: is I looked at Okay, hold on, I can order
- 8:44Speaker 1: a car on an app? Wait, wait, I can make
- 8:46Speaker 1: an insurance claim on an app? Whoa I can order
- 8:49Speaker 1: food on an app. It made it made me realize
- 8:53Speaker 1: that as we're moving into a digital generation, if I'm
- 8:56Speaker 1: not ahead of the game. The reason why I bought
- 8:59Speaker 1: the app company for the people who created Sprinkle of Jesus,
- 9:03Speaker 1: You're gonna fall behind and you're gonna be looking to like, hurry, hurry, hurry,
- 9:06Speaker 1: hurry up. It's apps are the new websites, and so
- 9:10Speaker 1: unfortunately a lot of people aren't educated enough yet on
- 9:13Speaker 1: how powerful it is and how and honestly everyone's trying
- 9:16Speaker 1: to get dig on other people's platforms instead of building
- 9:18Speaker 1: their own. And so we just made sure with every
- 9:20Speaker 1: single business that we own that we also controlled the
- 9:23Speaker 1: digital aspect of it, and we were collecting data as
- 9:26Speaker 1: much as possible. That is the new currency. I think,
- 9:29Speaker 1: um Marashan, did you see that article where they are
- 9:31Speaker 1: now calling data the new the new oil. Absolutely, I'm
- 9:35Speaker 1: just still trying to catch up what you're doing. Really,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you just amazing new oil. You just you know, rarely
- 9:43Speaker 1: do I get people that leave me speechless, but it's
- 9:46Speaker 1: it's just just the energy, the positive energy, and then
- 9:50Speaker 1: you have these little slangs, Bro whoa? You thought these
- 9:53Speaker 1: little you know what I mean, Bro whoa? Because it's
- 9:59Speaker 1: like we're supposed to be sharing this information and it's like, well,
- 10:04Speaker 1: there's no reason why if you're not the CEO of
- 10:07Speaker 1: your life and of your family, there's no way you
- 10:09Speaker 1: can be the CEO of your business. And so my
- 10:12Speaker 1: thing is I'm just trying to be realistic and tell
- 10:15Speaker 1: people like especially people are looking at me and like, yo,
- 10:17Speaker 1: how are you twenty five years old? And you're so
- 10:20Speaker 1: far ahead of forty five year olds old who are
- 10:22Speaker 1: going through a midlife crisis. And it's like, because I didn't,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. I didn't start with
- 10:29Speaker 1: my passion. Of course, I wanted to be purposeful and
- 10:32Speaker 1: know that God wanted to use me. But a lot
- 10:34Speaker 1: of people out here are like, oh my gosh, like
- 10:36Speaker 1: it's about me when business about being a servant. And
- 10:38Speaker 1: so I'm more I'm wanna focus on the result. If
- 10:41Speaker 1: it don't make money, of course, you know it don't
- 10:42Speaker 1: make sense. But my thing is, why don't we have
- 10:44Speaker 1: more black people who are owning tax companies, are owning
- 10:48Speaker 1: um um, doing credit repair doing all these things that
- 10:52Speaker 1: are need based so that we are not focused on
- 10:55Speaker 1: being the problem. You know, the minority to me, people
- 11:00Speaker 1: of color. We we dominate the credit repair companies, and
- 11:04Speaker 1: we dominate not knowing how to the financial lack of
- 11:07Speaker 1: information and financial literacy, community, tax issues, you know. So,
- 11:12Speaker 1: so what which are very profitable from a standpoint because
- 11:15Speaker 1: these are software driven? You know, paper, you know, printer,
- 11:19Speaker 1: got a printer, got a print on the laptop. You
- 11:21Speaker 1: can get rich if you do taxes, and you can
- 11:24Speaker 1: repair taxes and repair our credit issues and things like that.
- 11:28Speaker 1: So so you're just saying that, Hey, I'm twenty five
- 11:30Speaker 1: years old, I've been how long have you been thinking
- 11:33Speaker 1: like this though, Dana? How long have you been thinking?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Because your dad had these little meetings and the kind
- 11:39Speaker 1: of like kind of like put that that that that
- 11:41Speaker 1: that plan of action, that you have to be organized,
- 11:44Speaker 1: that you have to have a plan. When did you
- 11:46Speaker 1: win with you The first one was a Sprinkle of Jesus.
- 11:49Speaker 1: You said you bought that app. Yeah, so no, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: created Sprinkle of Jesus. And then I realized how profitable
- 11:55Speaker 1: the app business was and making sure that I provided
- 11:58Speaker 1: other small businesses with the opportunity to have in house
- 12:01Speaker 1: marketing UM. So we started building apps for other people
- 12:04Speaker 1: when I went ahead and bought the company. So, for example,
- 12:07Speaker 1: right now, you know how people spend money on like
- 12:10Speaker 1: Facebook ads and Instagram ads and stuff like that. Right, well,
- 12:14Speaker 1: believe it or not, you're paying just to you're paying
- 12:19Speaker 1: for them to you. You're paying to borrow the data,
- 12:23Speaker 1: but you're not you're actually not acquiring it. So for me,
- 12:25Speaker 1: when I was thinking of building a brand, I'm like, Yo,
- 12:28Speaker 1: if I could just go ahead and obtain all this
- 12:30Speaker 1: data myself, then I'd be able to remarket when I
- 12:33Speaker 1: want however I want, and not have to continue to
- 12:35Speaker 1: pay for We just trust in Facebook and Instagram send
- 12:40Speaker 1: out that information, do you know what I mean? We're
- 12:42Speaker 1: trusting their analytics, But what if I could actually see
- 12:44Speaker 1: the result. So right now, I'll send out a push
- 12:46Speaker 1: notification on Sprinkle of Jesus saying, UM, Christians need good
- 12:50Speaker 1: credit to UM, let us check out this Christian credit
- 12:53Speaker 1: repair company who's dedicated to fixing your credit boom. Do
- 12:56Speaker 1: you know on the first day of business we had
- 12:58Speaker 1: a five thousand customers because we had already built a
- 13:01Speaker 1: platform beforehand and That's why I got so much easier
- 13:05Speaker 1: to open new businesses, because if you are the controller
- 13:08Speaker 1: of your data and your platforms, then you can use
- 13:10Speaker 1: it without having to ask people for permission. And so
- 13:14Speaker 1: we knew how powerful apps were going to be until
- 13:16Speaker 1: we wanted to make sure. I think now we probably
- 13:18Speaker 1: put over three thou the app store for small businesses. Okay,
- 13:28Speaker 1: why are you laughing at your shot? Obviously don't know
- 13:31Speaker 1: who you're talking to. I don't, I don't. I'm telling
- 13:36Speaker 1: you this, and you so and you you didn't everything
- 13:39Speaker 1: I'll talk about. It's just it's just crazy and listening
- 13:41Speaker 1: to come back to me so fast. You know, I'm
- 13:43Speaker 1: supposed to be what's I'm the host of this show.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be the most the smartest person on
- 13:47Speaker 1: this call. You hit me with so much. You're going
- 13:50Speaker 1: like I was supposed to say that she's taking over
- 13:54Speaker 1: my show. I'm not taking over this is your show.
- 13:57Speaker 1: This is your show. From it because it really is
- 13:58Speaker 1: too yeo. I always tell people, because I always tell people.
- 14:01Speaker 1: You know, you you control the media, you can control
- 14:04Speaker 1: your boards, and you can dictate your traffic. That's what
- 14:07Speaker 1: you're saying, and that's what you're doing with these apps,
- 14:09Speaker 1: you said, ra Sean, build your brand through your apps,
- 14:11Speaker 1: and when you know your audience that you're attracting, then
- 14:13Speaker 1: you play back information to them. They respond to the information.
- 14:17Speaker 1: You have to run out and put an ad on
- 14:20Speaker 1: a TV or put a post on Facebook. Develop these apps.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Control your whether you're a baker or whether you're a
- 14:28Speaker 1: person who does concerts or person who does taxes. Take
- 14:31Speaker 1: the time to build your brand and collect that information
- 14:34Speaker 1: about the people who want to know about your brand.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Then mark it back to them and you get the
- 14:39Speaker 1: reaction you want very fast. That's what you're saying. Yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 1: and I think I finally come up with you. Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 1: And I think for me, just as a young woman, right,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I understand I'm going to be in a constant state
- 14:53Speaker 1: of growth, evolution. And so for me, you know, you know,
- 14:56Speaker 1: I started out as people knew me as like kind
- 14:59Speaker 1: of the internet teacher, right, and then I became you know,
- 15:02Speaker 1: I showed people my life on you know, entrepreneurship and
- 15:05Speaker 1: leading a team and being a leader and being the CEO,
- 15:07Speaker 1: and then you know, I went through a natural hair
- 15:09Speaker 1: journey and then go ahead and and I built a
- 15:11Speaker 1: um you know, I'm I'm I'm just laying on it
- 15:13Speaker 1: right now. I'm taking over the um, the beauty supply stores.
- 15:17Speaker 1: That's happening, That's gonna happen soon. Um. But when it
- 15:21Speaker 1: came to things, I just realized that I was in
- 15:23Speaker 1: a consistative evolution. And so what I like now, I'm
- 15:26Speaker 1: not gonna like later, which means that people like now,
- 15:30Speaker 1: they're not gonna like later. So when it came to
- 15:32Speaker 1: making sure at least that I acquired the data who
- 15:34Speaker 1: once believed in me, that's like right now asking the
- 15:38Speaker 1: reason why these big brands pay celebrities to be the
- 15:41Speaker 1: face of their company, because there's this sense of trust
- 15:43Speaker 1: and likability. So if I can control that and continue
- 15:47Speaker 1: to feed the customers and and and my followers and
- 15:50Speaker 1: the people and the downloaders new things, and they'll grow
- 15:53Speaker 1: with me, and so I'll never be starting at zero anymore.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And so that's what the app for us and has
- 15:58Speaker 1: legit may every single company that I've built a piece
- 16:02Speaker 1: of cake. We're right now jumping jack tax. We help
- 16:06Speaker 1: people start their tax preparation companies, and um, we already
- 16:10Speaker 1: have just the first six months. My husband is the
- 16:13Speaker 1: headrunner that every single business is ran by a different
- 16:16Speaker 1: family member, and um, we already have three hundred tax
- 16:20Speaker 1: preparation offices across the country due to the fact that
- 16:24Speaker 1: one we built a platform, we continue to innovate how
- 16:27Speaker 1: we could serve other people, and boom we are now
- 16:31Speaker 1: we already have a customer based We're not starting over again.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And so I wish more people would think about acquiring
- 16:37Speaker 1: the data so they never had to start over, like
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know, when their their kids took over anything like that.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I love it, I love it. I'm looking at your Instagram.
- 16:46Speaker 1: We went to it, had to find out more about it.
- 16:48Speaker 1: She has five seven thousand followers on Instagram count you know,
- 16:52Speaker 1: she has a she has a check that she's showing it.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Don't tell people my Instagram name. Do you know? We
- 16:58Speaker 1: actually were so dedicated to making sure that we only
