- 1:41Speaker 1: them out. Turn got to turn out to turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water. Come come on your baby ith huh?
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will a good morning everybody? You'll listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice? Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Y'all do took on
- 2:14Speaker 1: me when I said, but I do like I say always.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It just is a constant reminder of how good God
- 2:20Speaker 1: has been. So my question to you is, what's stopping
- 2:24Speaker 1: you from having the life that you want? What's stopping
- 2:29Speaker 1: you from having the life that you want? I know
- 2:33Speaker 1: a lot of people who have given up on achieving
- 2:38Speaker 1: the life of their dreams, but I know they'd still
- 2:42Speaker 1: want them if they could get to them. But they
- 2:45Speaker 1: just allowed to settle for so many reasons. So who
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm talking to is you today? What's really at the
- 2:54Speaker 1: core of stopping you. What is that? Is it your
- 2:57Speaker 1: friends or your associates. Is it the fear of what
- 3:01Speaker 1: you think somebody else will think of you if you
- 3:05Speaker 1: decide to change. Is it what I used to call
- 3:07Speaker 1: the call of the while? Is it the fact that
- 3:10Speaker 1: you keep thinking that the thing that you're doing that's
- 3:14Speaker 1: providing you these momentary moments of pleasure that really ain't
- 3:18Speaker 1: really good or healthy for you. You don't want to
- 3:22Speaker 1: stop doing that because you've got just a little bit
- 3:24Speaker 1: more something else you want to do. I call that
- 3:26Speaker 1: the call at a while. You know, it's just out there.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Them streets is calling you, Them lights is calling you.
- 3:32Speaker 1: You know, them girls is calling you. Them guys that's
- 3:35Speaker 1: on the wrong side keep calling you. You can't seem
- 3:38Speaker 1: to make a decision by the right guy. You keep
- 3:40Speaker 1: picking the wrong guy all the time. What is it
- 3:43Speaker 1: that's stopping you from having the life that you really
- 3:46Speaker 1: want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing, that's
- 3:50Speaker 1: the reason that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:54Speaker 1: you want to have, it's no good because at the
- 3:57Speaker 1: end of the date, here's the real deal. See, God
- 4:00Speaker 1: is available, and God is available for all of us,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and God has a plan for all of us, and
- 4:07Speaker 1: God wants to vary best for all of us. That's
- 4:09Speaker 1: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna
- 4:12Speaker 1: do to get started having that life? First of all,
- 4:17Speaker 1: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something
- 4:20Speaker 1: your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends
- 4:23Speaker 1: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends
- 4:26Speaker 1: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a
- 4:29Speaker 1: wide range of reasons and misery love company. So usually
- 4:34Speaker 1: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind
- 4:37Speaker 1: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
- 4:40Speaker 1: going to church, You're gonna be their friend. They don't
- 4:43Speaker 1: really want you to go to church. You know, your
- 4:46Speaker 1: friends don't pray, so why would they offer up prayer
- 4:49Speaker 1: as a solution to you. You know, your friends don't
- 4:53Speaker 1: really really get the fact that if you treat people better,
- 4:58Speaker 1: people would treat you better. So what's that? So your
- 5:02Speaker 1: friends are a lot of times the reasons, you know,
- 5:05Speaker 1: to peer pressure of what and then the thought in
- 5:08Speaker 1: your mind of what they're gonna think once they find
- 5:11Speaker 1: out I don't do what they do anymore. Who cares
- 5:14Speaker 1: what they think other than you? I mean, really, you
- 5:18Speaker 1: can't let what somebody thinks if you stop you from
- 5:22Speaker 1: having the best life you wanted to have. If I
- 5:25Speaker 1: went by that theory right there, I wouldn't I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 1: even be on this mic this morning. I would have
- 5:30Speaker 1: never become a stand up I would have had I
- 5:32Speaker 1: listened to the people around me who clearly told me
- 5:36Speaker 1: when I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't
- 5:39Speaker 1: you quit your job? You got a family, Boy, don't
- 5:42Speaker 1: you do this. You ain't got no bit dad, ain't
- 5:44Speaker 1: ain't no security in that. Get yourself a job, Go
- 5:48Speaker 1: down here and whet your brother, go to work over here.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I heard all of that. I didn't let that stop
- 5:54Speaker 1: me from pursuing this. Why would you allow that to
- 5:57Speaker 1: stop you from pursuing your relationship with God so you
- 6:00Speaker 1: can have the best life you could possibly have. You
- 6:03Speaker 1: gang bang because they've convinced you that this is the
- 6:07Speaker 1: family situation and love that you don't have, and they've
- 6:10Speaker 1: convinced you that this is your only way, your only
- 6:14Speaker 1: source of getting over And then you drum up these
- 6:18Speaker 1: ignorant reasons man for staying with it. But they sound
- 6:22Speaker 1: so good when you're listening to everybody else you surrounded
- 6:26Speaker 1: by telling you why we gang banging. Why we're holding
- 6:29Speaker 1: this blockdown? Why we slanging this thing here right here?
- 6:33Speaker 1: Why we're letting it go like this here? You keep
- 6:36Speaker 1: listening to them when all in your heart of hearts,
- 6:39Speaker 1: you know this ain't right, you already know, but you
- 6:43Speaker 1: allow that form of the call of the wild, that
- 6:47Speaker 1: wanting to be accepted by a group of people who
- 6:50Speaker 1: trying to get you to accept the way so you
- 6:52Speaker 1: can further they progress. To even prove that you worthy
- 6:56Speaker 1: to be around them, you got to commit some type
- 6:59Speaker 1: of crime to even prove that you're worthy to be
- 7:02Speaker 1: around them. Then when you get busted on the crime,
- 7:05Speaker 1: what happens to that where your family had? Now they
- 7:08Speaker 1: don't come down there to see you because guess what,
- 7:11Speaker 1: they can't turn an idea to deaths at a law
- 7:13Speaker 1: enforcements center. So now your homies can't come visit you.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And then you know your family back out here, they
- 7:19Speaker 1: ain't taking care of your family because it's all about them.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Then you learn that what is it to stopping you
- 7:25Speaker 1: from having a life that you always wanted to have?
- 7:28Speaker 1: What is it? Why are you a repeat offender? Why
- 7:32Speaker 1: do you keep checking yourself back into that institution? Why? Man,
- 7:38Speaker 1: why won't you get it together? Why won't you give
- 7:41Speaker 1: God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself? Why would
- 7:45Speaker 1: you continue to be a part of a revolving door
- 7:48Speaker 1: system and becoming the farm system for these institutions that
- 7:52Speaker 1: ain't got nothing for you? But you keep going back
- 7:55Speaker 1: in there. And then every time you go in there,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and then your little homies or your gang banging love,
- 8:00Speaker 1: little silly little friends try to make you think that's
- 8:02Speaker 1: a badge of honor. The ain't no badge of honor. Man,
- 8:05Speaker 1: that's one mold. What's one more scratch on that record,
- 8:08Speaker 1: That's one mode, That's one more nail in that coffin.
- 8:12Speaker 1: That's one step closer to that third strike where you
- 8:14Speaker 1: ain't gonna ever get out. It's one step closer to
- 8:17Speaker 1: that graveyard you keep on. Why would you not give
- 8:22Speaker 1: God a try? Why would you not go and see
- 8:24Speaker 1: what your life could really be? What is it that's
- 8:27Speaker 1: stopping you? Because see, I got news for you. There's
- 8:31Speaker 1: nothing like waking up free. I don't care who you are.
- 8:34Speaker 1: There's nothing like waking up with the joy in your heart. Now,
- 8:39Speaker 1: if you ain't gonna be free, get the joy in
- 8:42Speaker 1: your heart. The satisfaction of knowing that you accomplishing something
- 8:45Speaker 1: with your life. Help somebody behind them bars, get in
- 8:49Speaker 1: the program, show these young cats when they come in
- 8:51Speaker 1: a better way. But don't you dare sit there man
- 8:54Speaker 1: and just ride it out, and man, just go and
- 8:58Speaker 1: get the fullest life that you can have. What you
- 9:02Speaker 1: know what it feels like to wake up and be
- 9:04Speaker 1: on your way somewhere knowing that you have something to accomplish,
- 9:08Speaker 1: that you can change somebody, that you can stop somebody
- 9:10Speaker 1: from going down the roads you went down. It's a
- 9:13Speaker 1: whole lot of ways to make your life better. But
- 9:15Speaker 1: why would you not go and have the best life
- 9:17Speaker 1: you can have? What is it that's stopping you? Really? Really?
- 9:23Speaker 1: So you think that Satan really has your best interests
- 9:26Speaker 1: at heart. That Dela thing your mama kept telling you
- 9:29Speaker 1: about praying, you wasn't listening. It was you. But you know,
- 9:32Speaker 1: it ain't ever too late to get back to that.
- 9:34Speaker 1: It ain't ever too late to turn around, It ain't
- 9:37Speaker 1: ever too late to get your life together, it ain't
- 9:40Speaker 1: ever too late to seek God, and it ain't ever
- 9:43Speaker 1: too late to pray. Don't forget to pray, don't be
- 9:46Speaker 1: ashamed to pray. And don't be too proud to pray,
- 9:49Speaker 1: because prayer changes things. Prayer change people too. I'm a
- 9:54Speaker 1: witness to that. You're listening. What if everybody is your
- 10:02Speaker 1: boy James and around for the Steve Hobby Morning Show.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do a
- 10:05Speaker 1: special show. Since yesterday was Veterans Day, we're gonna honor
- 10:10Speaker 1: them again today. How about Dad? Huh? All right, okay, okay,

- 10:55Speaker 1: do it twice. We can do it twice. Did I
- 10:56Speaker 1: say it twice? Did I say it twice? I think
- 10:58Speaker 1: I'll say it twice. I think I'll say it twice.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Did it from miles of giving my foundation that gets
- 11:03Speaker 1: back to wounded veterans? We salute the soul just twice

- 11:45Speaker 1: well I'm only this is major surgery. Yeah, I'm empty.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I haven't drunk anything, haven't eaten anything since midnight. I
- 11:53Speaker 1: told him I had to do the show first and
- 11:54Speaker 1: then I'll be in and he's drunk. What he hadn't
- 11:59Speaker 1: drink any no liquids nothing. What are you getting done?
- 12:04Speaker 1: What are you getting done? Right? Rotator cuff getting done? Okay,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it's torn, it has a terror and what were you

- 12:25Speaker 1: eat with my left. I bowled with my left, I
- 12:28Speaker 1: back with my left, I right with my right. Have
- 12:32Speaker 1: you been doing a lot of bowling, writing and eating
- 12:34Speaker 1: to tip you? Coaster cuff nor roller cups? No basketball involved? Well,
- 12:43Speaker 1: we gotta we got a little court at the house.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I've been out with my son. But that's it's been.
- 12:47Speaker 1: It's been over eight years, y'all a long time. But
- 12:51Speaker 1: that's why. That's why it's been over eight years. Why
- 12:54Speaker 1: are you just doing it now? Because it's gotten worse.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I can't raise my arm above my head like I'm
- 13:00Speaker 1: you need to read. Yeah, you can't ask no questions.
- 13:04Speaker 1: You can't raise your hand, no questions that you still
- 13:11Speaker 1: show when people get sick. Yeah, I have no mercy.
- 13:17Speaker 1: R and B singer David do hurt when you do that?
- 13:22Speaker 1: I say, he said, then don't do that? Can you
- 13:27Speaker 1: die from it? Oh? No? Coming up at thirty two
- 13:31Speaker 1: after the hour that you always want to kill something
- 13:35Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour, guys are
- 13:37Speaker 1: good friend. Kevin Hart made his first public appearance Sunday night.
- 13:40Speaker 1: We'll tell you about it right after this. You're listening
- 13:45Speaker 1: morning show. Well, guys. The highlight of the People's Choice
- 13:49Speaker 1: Awards on Sunday Night came when Kevin Hart appeared on stage.
- 13:54Speaker 1: He walked on the stage, accepted accepted the award for
- 13:57Speaker 1: the Best Comedy Act for his Irresponsible Comedy Tour. Congratulations
- 14:01Speaker 1: to Kevin Hart. This marked Kevin's first public appearance since
- 14:05Speaker 1: his scary scary car accident two months ago now almost
- 14:09Speaker 1: Kevin walked out on stage to a standing ovation. He
- 14:12Speaker 1: accepted his awards, saying, first and foremost, I thank God
- 14:17Speaker 1: because I definitely don't have to be here. Wow. Wow,
- 14:22Speaker 1: being that I am that makes me appreciate life even more.
- 14:28Speaker 1: It makes me appreciate the things that really matter. Family.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I want to think my wife, my kids. They really
- 14:35Speaker 1: stepped up to the plate for me. Kevin looked really good.
- 14:38Speaker 1: He looked serious. Really serious. Is a serious Yeah? It
- 14:46Speaker 1: was a life changing yeah, yeah, But he looked good.
- 14:51Speaker 1: We're all glad to see that he is back. He's up,
- 14:54Speaker 1: he's moving around, he's you know, making public appearances. I'm
- 14:58Speaker 1: going on the radio coming up soon with the Two Hours,
- 15:00Speaker 1: specially him in the Red cup Boys when he comes
- 15:04Speaker 1: back on Serious. I think this change is his comedy jake,
- 15:07Speaker 1: depending on how he deals with it. I mean, I
- 15:09Speaker 1: mean I went through the loop and for me it
- 15:12Speaker 1: was the ability to make jokes. So I mean both
- 15:14Speaker 1: are life threatening. So it's how he decides to deal
- 15:17Speaker 1: with it, you know, right, you will only know that
- 15:20Speaker 1: when you see it. I mean, look at rich de
- 15:22Speaker 1: Pratt when he was, you know, almost near death. He
- 15:25Speaker 1: did a fifteen minute routine off off, yeah, fire, yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: So you never know how it affects. Yeah, he did
- 15:36Speaker 1: seem serious last night, but he looked good. He looked healthy,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and he looked strong. So we're glad he's recovering and
- 15:43Speaker 1: recovering well, and we can't wait for him to come
- 15:45Speaker 1: back on this show as well. Yeah, we love him.
- 15:51Speaker 1: He's family to us. Meanwhile, our President Donald Trump his
- 15:55Speaker 1: son transition home. I know, but anyway, Donald Trump Junior
- 16:03Speaker 1: is still getting booed, He's still getting heckel while he's
- 16:06Speaker 1: out in a book tour. You know, he's got a
- 16:08Speaker 1: book tour going on. Video from Sunday's event at UCLA
- 16:12Speaker 1: showed a chant that started out as USA, U S A.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Then it turned quickly into angry cries of Q and
- 16:19Speaker 1: a Q and a Q and he he didn't want
- 16:25Speaker 1: to answer questions. They were mad. Yeah, yeah, they were
- 16:28Speaker 1: man and you know what else, a lot of them
- 16:30Speaker 1: was in some of them booths for you, Daddy say.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You know, they did not take it. They cannot take it.
- 16:40Speaker 1: If they're not loved, they cannot take it. Yeah. Minutes
- 16:44Speaker 1: later he just stormed off with his senior advisor. Advisor, Yeah,
- 16:48Speaker 1: he stormed off the stage. Yeah, yeah, he got it
- 16:52Speaker 1: out of those booths were made in America. How about that? Yeah?
- 17:04Speaker 1: They were so anyway, Yeah, yeah, there's that. He was
- 17:10Speaker 1: smiling what I was saying in USA? That quickly went away?
- 17:15Speaker 1: They did anyone see Jeff Sessions commercial when he was
- 17:18Speaker 1: coming back. You know, he's waiting a bit again again
- 17:22Speaker 1: to run for the Senate in Alabama. See he left
- 17:25Speaker 1: to me, you know, to do what he did with
- 17:28Speaker 1: for the president. Well, I mean, really he said such
- 17:33Speaker 1: glowing things. I've never said an unkind word about the president.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You know, he came on like that. He's never said
- 17:39Speaker 1: anything bad about the president. I'm sure he wants that endorsement.
- 17:44Speaker 1: But then well he did. Trump did reference it. He said,
- 17:51Speaker 1: you know, I've heard Jeff Sessions is running again. I
- 17:54Speaker 1: heard he said some very nice things about me, and
- 17:57Speaker 1: boy does he love that. And then of course he
- 18:00Speaker 1: also says, you just need to kiss my ass just
- 18:02Speaker 1: a little more. Jim. Yeah, I don't know anymore. You
- 18:07Speaker 1: know what, everybody who's talking nice about Trump when he
- 18:10Speaker 1: was running for president, he dogged them all out, and
- 18:13Speaker 1: they're all supporting him now, Lindsay Graham, every last one
- 18:17Speaker 1: of them. Yeah, they all did so. Mark Vidio all, Yeah,
- 18:21Speaker 1: they sell a soul man. Yeah, because that power. And
- 18:25Speaker 1: you can't talk about my my wife, man, and we
- 18:27Speaker 1: just man, No, no, I don't know what happened to
- 18:31Speaker 1: Lindsay Brown. You see me. Yeah, Linday Graham is coming
- 18:37Speaker 1: up right, his seat is coming up for yes, And
- 18:39Speaker 1: there's a black guy in the in the South Carolina
- 18:42Speaker 1: running against him, and I cannot think of his name,
- 18:44Speaker 1: but I really hope he wins. We need to know
- 18:46Speaker 1: all black people that's running. Jay, you're from your own.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Everybody black running, okay, anybody black, we need to know
- 18:56Speaker 1: the name name. Yeah, but that's why, that's why Lindsay
- 19:00Speaker 1: Graham is. You know, kissing, it's sucking up. There's a
- 19:05Speaker 1: different thing kissing and sucking up. Sucking up, they're about
- 19:08Speaker 1: the same time. Kissing. No, sucking a strong girl. It's
- 19:14Speaker 1: more aggressive scene like I don't know, kissing button, sucking
- 19:18Speaker 1: up okay, yeah, but sucking up a couple of bars.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Its stupid. It's gonna go for it though, did you
- 19:34Speaker 1: hear I know he was looking for as Harmonica. That's what. Wow,
- 19:41Speaker 1: what we mentioned. Uh, Steve's out today. Carla's out as well.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Carla she had to take some time. You know, the
- 19:48Speaker 1: Saints lost to Atlanta. That's why she didn't come in
- 19:51Speaker 1: the falcon. You your team lose, you take off. There's
- 19:55Speaker 1: a lot of people that tips off. She Cowboys fans,
- 19:58Speaker 1: some of them Alabama fans. Some of them took the
- 20:02Speaker 1: man who you know, that's Tasha's team, So she probably
- 20:05Speaker 1: took off to console him at Yeah. Yeah, somebody got
- 20:10Speaker 1: to go to work with them. Her feeling, I'm sorry,
- 20:12Speaker 1: somebody was Alabama's fans still in the stadium looking at
- 20:15Speaker 1: the stop. I know he just live game. That was
- 20:19Speaker 1: a hell of a game. That was a really good,
- 20:22Speaker 1: real good game. The game was a good game too, Timmy.
- 20:25Speaker 1: That was a really good game. Man. All right, get
- 20:28Speaker 1: it all out now, don't say it when Carla comes aback,
- 20:30Speaker 1: no consoling her husband. Cleveland won a game. Cleveland did win. Yeah, yeah,

- 29:16Speaker 1: many hearts a post gets on Instagram? Okay, that's soon
- 29:21Speaker 1: going to go away. Okay, it's going to disappear from
- 29:24Speaker 1: Instagram's user profile pages next week. When I say soon,
- 29:28Speaker 1: I mean soon. Okay. A user can still see how
- 29:31Speaker 1: many likes they've received, but their followers won't know their account.
- 29:35Speaker 1: According to Instagram CEO, social media companies have come under
- 29:39Speaker 1: pressure to take a more proactive approach to monitoring content
- 29:43Speaker 1: and managing screen addiction. Okay, but a lot of users
- 29:47Speaker 1: are not happy about all of this, especially yeah, especially
- 29:51Speaker 1: if they're trying to make a living as a social
- 29:53Speaker 1: media influencer. There are tons of new comedians and entrepreneurs entertainers,
- 29:58Speaker 1: for example, they gained stardom on Instagram. We even know
- 30:02Speaker 1: some of them. Just with the mess comes to mind,
- 30:05Speaker 1: just hilarious comes to mind. What do you guys think?
- 30:09Speaker 1: I mean, we love it. Man, Let me tell you something. Yeah,

- 30:33Speaker 1: able to see your own likes, but you're the people
- 30:35Speaker 1: looking at your Instagram, they won't be able to see it. Okay,
- 30:38Speaker 1: that's the difference. What are they getting out getting out
- 30:43Speaker 1: of Instagram? What Instagram getting out of? I mean show
- 30:48Speaker 1: this weekend, the last last comedy tour they had all
- 30:52Speaker 1: they had about three or four hundred people in the club.
- 30:54Speaker 1: They did it all on the internet, all on the Yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 1: So I don't know how that just doesn't help anybody. Yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 1: I mean we didn't have it when we were growing up,
- 31:04Speaker 1: but these kids now this, you know, they live by this,
- 31:07Speaker 1: And I guess that's when some of the companies are
- 31:09Speaker 1: trying to stop again. Uh. You know, they want to monitor,
- 31:12Speaker 1: they want to monitor the content, and they want to
- 31:14Speaker 1: manage the screen addiction because you know a lot of
- 31:17Speaker 1: people are addicted to social media and all of this.
- 31:20Speaker 1: So they're trying to cut some of that down. So
- 31:21Speaker 1: they'll probably do it. See how they won't go well,
- 31:24Speaker 1: and then they'll bring it back. Ten Na, Natty want
- 31:28Speaker 1: to manage yeah, so you'll be able to see all
- 31:32Speaker 1: ten of yours, Junior, but your followers won't be able
- 31:34Speaker 1: to Yeah, that's all. Yeah, yeah, they can just take
- 31:38Speaker 1: them from them, let them see the tem We just

- 32:24Speaker 1: Here we go in other news. This story is crazy
- 32:26Speaker 1: right here. Our girl Trina, you know her, straight out
- 32:28Speaker 1: of Florida, straight out of Miami, the baddest be She
- 32:31Speaker 1: was minding her own self business at Walmart over the
- 32:34Speaker 1: weekend when she accidentally brushed up against a white female
- 32:37Speaker 1: customer and the lady told Trina, watch out you in
- 32:41Speaker 1: word by So Trina lost it. Her epic rant was
- 32:48Speaker 1: caught on video. We can't even play it because too
- 32:51Speaker 1: much cussing was going down. Trina was screaming at the
- 32:54Speaker 1: white woman say saying say it again, you dirty you
- 33:00Speaker 1: nerdie B. I am a n word. B say it again.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I dare you to say it. Police responded to the scene,
- 33:06Speaker 1: but no charges were filed. Trina with that score to troos.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Yeah he's better pop in an album. All right, let's
- 33:14Speaker 1: go to miss Anne please Jay. Al Right, everybody, it's
- 33:17Speaker 1: time for the news with miss Anne trimp Ah, Thank
- 33:20Speaker 1: you very much, and good morning everybody. Former President Jimmy
- 33:22Speaker 1: Carter is reportedly scheduled for some kind of brain surgery today.
- 33:26Speaker 1: They proceeded to take place in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta,
- 33:29Speaker 1: is designed to relieve pressure on his brain resulting from
- 33:32Speaker 1: some recent falls. President Carter apparently fell and bumped his
- 33:35Speaker 1: head just in October and acquired fourteen stitches for that
- 33:38Speaker 1: fall alone. Mister Carter is ninety five years old. He
- 33:41Speaker 1: is the oldest living president ever. A Lloyd for the
- 33:44Speaker 1: whistleblower who sparked the current impeachment inquiry says that House
- 33:47Speaker 1: Republicans have not yet responded to the offer to make
- 33:51Speaker 1: the whistleblow available to answer questions written under oath the
- 33:54Speaker 1: offer made last week to the ranking GOP member of
- 33:57Speaker 1: the Intelligence Committee, Devin Juniez, who has not responded. By
- 34:00Speaker 1: the way, the Secretary of State under George bus Condoleeza
- 34:03Speaker 1: Rice says that reports of an unofficial US policy carried
- 34:06Speaker 1: out by Donald Trump and Ukraine are quote deeply troubling. Rice,
- 34:10Speaker 1: who also served as the Bush administration's head of annapsal
- 34:13Speaker 1: security and who went to the White House as a
- 34:15Speaker 1: Soviet specialist, says that the world wouldn't be would shouldn't
- 34:19Speaker 1: get confusing messages from the United States of America, that
- 34:21Speaker 1: the call was murky, and that quote. I don't like
- 34:24Speaker 1: for the President of the United States to mention an
- 34:26Speaker 1: American citizen for investigation to a foreign leader. I think
- 34:29Speaker 1: that's out of bounds. President Trump was in New York
- 34:32Speaker 1: City yesterday where he later reathed to signal the official
- 34:35Speaker 1: start of this the one hundredth anniversary of Veterans Day,
- 34:38Speaker 1: the commemoration of the end of World War One, and
- 34:40Speaker 1: he made sure that its significance was not lost. We
- 34:43Speaker 1: carry on a noble tradition that began one century ago.
- 34:47Speaker 1: More than four million Americans formed in the Great War,
- 34:50Speaker 1: and more than one hundred and sixteen thousand made the
- 34:54Speaker 1: ultimate sacrifice at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day
- 34:59Speaker 1: of the In nineteen eighteen, the armistice was declared the
- 35:04Speaker 1: war had come to an end. President Trump became the
- 35:07Speaker 1: first president to attend this particular Veterans Day parade and
- 35:10Speaker 1: said of those who serve and continue to serve, that
- 35:12Speaker 1: the nation is forever in their debt. The body of
- 35:15Speaker 1: a Clark, Atlanta student named Alexis Crawford has been found.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Twenty one year old co found was reported missing since
- 35:21Speaker 1: October thirtieth. Cops say discovered the young woman's body with
- 35:24Speaker 1: the aid of her roommate, a woman named Jordan Jones.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Just three days before going missing, Alexis Crawford had filed
- 35:30Speaker 1: a police report alleging that her womby's boyfriend, Baron Brantley
- 35:34Speaker 1: Force will be touched and kissed her. Both the roommate
- 35:36Speaker 1: and her boyfriend are considered suspects in miss Crawford's disappearance.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Now and a murder and today is National Basketball Day.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Everybody you're
- 35:53Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morn Show. You know, guys, we
- 35:57Speaker 1: worry about our kids' safety in schools. But um, you
- 36:00Speaker 1: never want to think the threats could come from the teachers.
- 36:03Speaker 1: All right, Tommy, you saw this video. I've seen it
- 36:06Speaker 1: on moth but you sent us this video that's trending
- 36:09Speaker 1: on social media right now. Substitute teacher and Kyle Texas
- 36:13Speaker 1: was fired and arrested on Friday after allegedly assaulting a
- 36:19Speaker 1: high school student. Now, this is what happened. This disturbing
- 36:22Speaker 1: video online shows the teacher, Tiffany Langford is her name,
- 36:26Speaker 1: throwing several punches at the student, then stomping the student
- 36:29Speaker 1: on his head when he falls on the floor. School
- 36:32Speaker 1: officials say Langford had undergone training and passed a background
- 36:35Speaker 1: check way back in September before she was hired to
- 36:39Speaker 1: work as a substitute teacher. There is no more information
- 36:42Speaker 1: on what prompted the attack, but at any rate, it
- 36:45Speaker 1: is inexcusable. I mean, the teacher was having a sapper. Yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 1: kids slapped her first, but the first time. Trump is
- 36:55Speaker 1: absolutely right, there's wrong on both sides. SPA and the
- 37:01Speaker 1: teachers shouldn't be you know, because the teacher's the adult.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Now come on, now, seriously, she was supposed to refrain
- 37:07Speaker 1: but but you say she was trained, You say she
- 37:12Speaker 1: was trained before this to become become training. She passed
- 37:17Speaker 1: that ground chat well physically she looked like she had
- 37:20Speaker 1: been training for a boxing match. Man, look like I mean, god,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I couldn't believe this. This You know, the lady was
- 37:29Speaker 1: throwing these hands like that. Man. And these teachers take
- 37:33Speaker 1: a lot of stuff off. These things they do very stressful,
- 37:36Speaker 1: and we love, love, love love our teachers. Yes, they
- 37:39Speaker 1: are the unsung heroes of the world in my book.
- 37:44Speaker 1: But yeah, you don't slap your teacher, student, You don't
- 37:47Speaker 1: do that. Do not. Let me go home and tell them,
- 37:50Speaker 1: and let and Lee Brown find her. I slapped the teacher.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Oh what mom would invite the teacher over? They get
- 37:57Speaker 1: they getting me together. We couldn't talk bad, not that
- 38:00Speaker 1: kind of stuff. You couldn't talk respectful. Yeah. Not only
- 38:05Speaker 1: did it. Not only did the students of disrespect, the
- 38:08Speaker 1: parents are just as disrespectful to the teachers. Yeah. So
- 38:11Speaker 1: it's like the teachers can win, man. You know why
- 38:14Speaker 1: because the parents are young. I mean they were young
- 38:16Speaker 1: in our day two. But still they had that different
- 38:20Speaker 1: kind of home training. You know, it's different. You didn't
- 38:23Speaker 1: have the God to raise your hand in an adult period,
- 38:27Speaker 1: it just you just it just wouldn't happen. We were
- 38:29Speaker 1: raised to respect our elders, yes man, Yeah, we had to.
- 38:34Speaker 1: We just had to. That was it was a different time.
- 38:37Speaker 1: It was just a different time. And that's how we
- 38:38Speaker 1: were raised to slap your teacher. Death at home, yea death,
- 38:43Speaker 1: It just would you would have died. I actually died
- 38:47Speaker 1: twice in my life. My mama has killed me twice.
- 38:52Speaker 1: I saw Jesus. Let me tell you, I've seen it.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Well you wish you did or mama. Coming up at
- 39:09Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour, guys, it looks like Jay

- 39:27Speaker 1: so what is this new album we've been sing out.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Everybody knows that I played a harmonica played. So I've
- 39:34Speaker 1: been working on my first release of my blues album
- 39:38Speaker 1: to come out shortly. And I'm not gonna sing under
- 39:40Speaker 1: the name of James and Round. That's not bluesy. Yeah,
- 39:46Speaker 1: the name I'm gonna introduce this blind Grape Jelly. Blind
- 39:50Speaker 1: Grape Jelly, What is that? That's the name, that's the
- 39:53Speaker 1: name of the hell. That's the name of That's gonna
- 39:55Speaker 1: be my stage name as a blues singer, Blind Grape
- 39:58Speaker 1: and the name of my my first album is Blind
- 40:02Speaker 1: Grape Jelly in the album called Bite on These Grapes.
- 40:05Speaker 1: So that's gonna come out pretty soon because you have
- 40:09Speaker 1: a whole album ready now that you were saying the
- 40:11Speaker 1: word out already. Yeah, I have one. It's not full.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I don't have all the songs, Shirley, So I got
- 40:17Speaker 1: a couple of them, and like I like to run
- 40:19Speaker 1: them by you guys, just let me know what tell me.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I'll do them a cappello just so you kind of
- 40:25Speaker 1: kind of get that. Then you know the first song
- 40:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna really it's called Please Don't Eat Daddy's Chicken.
- 40:30Speaker 1: And it can't go something like you want to hear.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Then come on wherever you dude, don't eat Daddy Chicken.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Here you do your bud, He'll be kicking. Please Don't
- 40:42Speaker 1: Eat Daddy Chicken. And then you know what I'm I
- 40:46Speaker 1: just kind of you know, I ain't finished it. I
- 40:47Speaker 1: ain't got it offense, but yeah, that's part of it. Yeah.
- 40:51Speaker 1: And then I'm gonna I'm working on another song. This
- 40:54Speaker 1: is gonna be a slow song. It's called we All
- 40:57Speaker 1: Smell the Same when the Lights go out. It's a
- 40:59Speaker 1: very touch and song. Smell the same. We all smell
- 41:03Speaker 1: the same whoping the lights go out. We all love
- 41:07Speaker 1: the same when the lights go out. You know, we
- 41:10Speaker 1: all smell the same when the lights go out in
- 41:15Speaker 1: the dog say that night. You don't care who's black, white,
- 41:19Speaker 1: you know, we all smell the same when the lights
- 41:23Speaker 1: go out. That's that's I'm not finish it. I'm it
- 41:27Speaker 1: didn't need more work. I think I think it's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:33Speaker 1: And then I got a little something for diabetics because
- 41:35Speaker 1: I wanted to speak to diabetics. It's a very touching
- 41:40Speaker 1: song and it's direct. It's called Eat the Cake and
- 41:43Speaker 1: Lose the Foot. Encourage, Yes, encouraging, can't use the foot Dan,
- 41:50Speaker 1: And then eat you can't lose the foot, Danny. I
- 41:53Speaker 1: ain't got all the words, just know that's all. That's
- 41:57Speaker 1: all you needn't can lose the foot, Danny, And and
- 42:00Speaker 1: eat the cake and lose the foot and yeah, man, ok,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I like that, and then I gotta a dance song.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I gotta dance song. And then it's called Bumping on
- 42:16Speaker 1: the Moon. You know. I mean, I'm trying to bring
- 42:18Speaker 1: the bump back because the bump has gone away. I'm
- 42:21Speaker 1: bringing up Bumping on the moon, and and and yeah.
- 42:26Speaker 1: But being on the moon, I don't have everything. I
- 42:31Speaker 1: don't have it all. I don't now. In my last song,
- 42:35Speaker 1: my last song that's gonna be on this album. I
- 42:38Speaker 1: was inspired to write the song when I was dating
- 42:40Speaker 1: an older lady had a grandson. And the son, you
- 42:45Speaker 1: know by by twelve thirteen, you know, you know you
- 42:48Speaker 1: have a dating. The little boy was just always in
- 42:50Speaker 1: my face, what you're doing over here? Or you where
- 42:52Speaker 1: you come to see my grandmama? You just like constantly.
- 42:55Speaker 1: So I had I wrote the song and then I
- 42:57Speaker 1: sung it to him directly. I don't know how to
- 43:00Speaker 1: tell you, but I'm smashing your grandmama. I'm smashing your grandmama.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And she lighted a light. But oh, I don't know
- 43:11Speaker 1: why to tell you, but I'm smashing your grandmama. I'm
- 43:16Speaker 1: smashing your grandmama. And she led it a light. Yeah
- 43:23Speaker 1: that that that they no more question, question. I don't
- 43:27Speaker 1: know how to get just mess a little my wild open.
- 43:34Speaker 1: So you're putting all these songs, all these songs, people
- 43:37Speaker 1: and more. I have more songs, but I wanted to
- 43:39Speaker 1: run them by y'all. Person, And what's your favorite? Anybody
- 43:42Speaker 1: have a favorite? Smashing your Grandmama's back. I don't know
- 43:46Speaker 1: how to take a smell the same when the lights like, no,
- 43:53Speaker 1: we can't forget, don't he Daddy's chicken. It's a very
- 43:58Speaker 1: memorable album. I guess you on the moon. I'm smashing
- 44:05Speaker 1: you brand mma, Well, thank you, we'll look for that.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Your stage name was blind Greg Jelly. All right, he's
- 44:16Speaker 1: coming up next. The nephew with the price phone. Right

- 45:23Speaker 1: that's correct. Okay. I actually I am calling you from
- 45:26Speaker 1: the insurance group. I have you alls live results and
- 45:28Speaker 1: everything as far as your physicals and blood tests and
- 45:31Speaker 1: things of that nature. Is there any way I could
- 45:34Speaker 1: possibly talk to both of you guys at the same time,
- 45:37Speaker 1: you and Harvey. Is that possible? M Well, sure he's
- 45:40Speaker 1: at right now, but I can get him on the side. Okay,
- 45:43Speaker 1: it will be uh it'd be kind of easy if
- 45:45Speaker 1: I kind of explained everything to both of you guys
- 45:46Speaker 1: at the same time as if that's okay, okay somehow
- 45:50Speaker 1: Uh No, nothing's wrong. I mean I think I need
- 45:52Speaker 1: to just try to bring a few things to you
- 45:53Speaker 1: guys attention. But I think you know, after that, it's
- 45:56Speaker 1: pretty much you guys decision on what you do. But
- 45:58Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you know a few things
- 45:59Speaker 1: about you know, the results and things of that nature, life, insurance,
- 46:03Speaker 1: the whole nine yards. Okay, okay, hold on, let me
- 46:06Speaker 1: shoo talking to them on the phone. Hello, hey, babe,
- 46:11Speaker 1: Hey sweet right, um, look, I got the insurance people
- 46:14Speaker 1: on the line. They want to get both of us
- 46:16Speaker 1: on the phone to talk to us about the insurance stuff.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Oh cool, Hey, Harvey, awre you doing this? Is Keith
- 46:22Speaker 1: Keep from the insurance group? How are you? Hey? Good?
- 46:26Speaker 1: Was that nicky? Good? Good? Listen? Um? I wanted to
- 46:29Speaker 1: give you guys a call and kind of follow up.
- 46:31Speaker 1: You guys did physicals and blood tests and the whole
- 46:33Speaker 1: nine yards, and I wanted to give you guys a call.
- 46:35Speaker 1: It's kind of better if I talk to both of
- 46:37Speaker 1: you guys at the same time. So if you have
- 46:38Speaker 1: a minute that we can actually use a kind of
- 46:41Speaker 1: get some of this information out to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 46:43Speaker 1: I'm fine, man, I'm gonna break right now. I'm good. Okay, great.
- 46:46Speaker 1: First of all, we've gotten all your your lab results
- 46:48Speaker 1: back everything, and I kind of got a few questions
- 46:51Speaker 1: for you guys that I'm a little puzzled on. How
- 46:54Speaker 1: long have you guys actually been married. We've been together
- 46:58Speaker 1: for years. Okay, now, prior to being married three years.
- 47:01Speaker 1: How long did you guys know each other before you
- 47:03Speaker 1: got married? About five and a half five six kids. Okay,
- 47:09Speaker 1: you guys have been knowing each other pretty close nine
- 47:11Speaker 1: years now altogether. Yeah, okay, are you actually from the
- 47:14Speaker 1: same hometowns? You grew up in the same hometown? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 1: we grew up. I mean if I'm I'm sorry, is
- 47:21Speaker 1: this question? I mean, is this about the insurance or well,
- 47:25Speaker 1: I mean there's a two things that's that's actually uh puzzling,
- 47:29Speaker 1: Carmen that we need to this. This is some news
- 47:33Speaker 1: I actually didn't want to bring you, guys. I mean,
- 47:35Speaker 1: we have to. I have to actually give you this news.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Looking at our records, looking at all the test results,
- 47:41Speaker 1: and let me be the first to tell you that
- 47:43Speaker 1: we run these results over and over and over trying
- 47:46Speaker 1: to make sure we are completely one hundred and fifteen right, Okay,
- 47:50Speaker 1: it's a problem with the test. Well, looking at our test, guys,
- 47:54Speaker 1: Harvey a garment, it's indicating that you guys are related.
- 47:59Speaker 1: And any times I attend you are you guys are siblings.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Hold on, man, what O and I understand the shot?
- 48:11Speaker 1: It took me. It took everything. I had to make
- 48:13Speaker 1: this phone call. I did not want to make it.
- 48:15Speaker 1: But looking at our records, and we went over these
- 48:17Speaker 1: records over and over and and and the blow works
- 48:21Speaker 1: tells us that you guys are actually siblings. Mann, Are
- 48:29Speaker 1: you serious? Man? I'm actually you know this is not
- 48:34Speaker 1: a this is not a laughing matter, not a joking matter.
- 48:36Speaker 1: You know, Like I said, I did not want to
- 48:39Speaker 1: call with this information where you did make the call. Man,
- 48:43Speaker 1: Look you, I don't know what you need to go
- 48:46Speaker 1: back and and and double check your records or something,
- 48:49Speaker 1: because you've been married three brief check with the laugh man?
- 48:54Speaker 1: Can you check with the laughing like Paul is back?
- 48:57Speaker 1: Harvey and I and I and I knew those questions
- 48:59Speaker 1: would come up, and we we went over it. We
- 49:02Speaker 1: went over it and over and over it. Y'all need
- 49:05Speaker 1: to go over it again because old baby I got this.
- 49:10Speaker 1: You made the call and this gotta be wrong. So
- 49:13Speaker 1: what you need to do is make another call and
- 49:16Speaker 1: called the lab and call us back and let us
- 49:18Speaker 1: know that you either so they made a mistake or
- 49:21Speaker 1: you talking about me and my wife and I understand
- 49:24Speaker 1: it hard. Harry. Let me ask you, this is it
- 49:26Speaker 1: possible you know, and this is just a question. Is
- 49:29Speaker 1: it possible that your dad and maybe her mom maybe
- 49:32Speaker 1: knew each other at some point? And what what you
- 49:35Speaker 1: say by my mom and dad, that's some straight look
- 49:40Speaker 1: at you need to have go back and do whatever
- 49:41Speaker 1: you need to do. But I think you much. You
- 49:43Speaker 1: say something like that again, I tell you my baby's
- 49:46Speaker 1: gonna be coming down that beach saying like that. Hold
- 49:49Speaker 1: on old baby, baby, baby baby. I got it. I
- 49:55Speaker 1: gotta how you gonna call me we get you know,
- 49:59Speaker 1: you from tod like that. But that ain't all I'm doing, sir,
- 50:03Speaker 1: is bringing you the result. Why don't you bring me
- 50:05Speaker 1: results in person? And that I whomp y'all, that's what
- 50:08Speaker 1: I'm talking about. He knows. Hey, sir, even if you
- 50:11Speaker 1: beat the messenger at the end of the day, that's
- 50:13Speaker 1: still your sister. At the end of the day, I'm
- 50:15Speaker 1: gonna whop You'll look. I don't care what he's talking
- 50:17Speaker 1: about nothing. He ain't my damn brother. I got it.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna find out of whatever jupercle you in. You're
- 50:24Speaker 1: gonna call me time about brother. It's my wife. I
- 50:28Speaker 1: am having that, sir. Somewhere down the line, somebody made
- 50:30Speaker 1: a mistake, and you guys a brother and sister got married.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I'm not at far for that. Let me tell you
- 50:36Speaker 1: that shot mistake to calling. He's in one of these numbers,
- 50:39Speaker 1: a kid in your life. So I got one more
- 50:42Speaker 1: test result I do need to get you. Got hold
- 50:46Speaker 1: that hold what you've been talking about them? What else
- 50:48Speaker 1: you got to say? Now? That's gonna be wasting me.
- 50:50Speaker 1: The only other touch result I have, ma'am, is that
- 50:52Speaker 1: this is nephew taught me from the Steve Harby Morning Show.

- 53:58Speaker 1: on time. We got it for you. Here. It is
- 54:00Speaker 1: the Strawberry letta. All right, subjects, stop wandering all over
- 54:03Speaker 1: my house. Dear Stephen, Shirley, my in laws make me
- 54:08Speaker 1: very uncomfortable in my own home. My husband's family was
- 54:12Speaker 1: cool before I married my husband, and I didn't get
- 54:14Speaker 1: to see how uncouth they were until I moved in
- 54:17Speaker 1: with my husband after the wedding. They basically have no
- 54:21Speaker 1: home training and feel like our house is their house,
- 54:25Speaker 1: so they're welcome to anything we have. My mother in
- 54:28Speaker 1: law thinks it's okay to walk freely all over my
- 54:32Speaker 1: house when they visit. It's like she has lost something
- 54:35Speaker 1: and can't find it, so she goes from room to room.
- 54:39Speaker 1: My father in law goes into my refrigerator without asking
- 54:42Speaker 1: and will heat up leftovers if there's anything in there
- 54:45Speaker 1: he wants. I often cook for the week for my
- 54:48Speaker 1: husband and I, and more than once his dad has
- 54:51Speaker 1: come in and fixed himself a plate. We have a
- 54:54Speaker 1: guest bathroom on our main level, but my in laws
- 54:57Speaker 1: always use the guest bathroom that is up stairs. It's
- 55:01Speaker 1: very disrespectful to wander all over our house like that
- 55:04Speaker 1: without asking. My husband was raised by these no manners
- 55:08Speaker 1: having people, so he doesn't see it as a problem.
- 55:11Speaker 1: He said, he's so glad they're comfortable in our home
- 55:14Speaker 1: when they're visiting. Now, when they come over. I close
- 55:17Speaker 1: our master bedroom door and our home office door because
- 55:21Speaker 1: those areas are off limits. It became an issue and
- 55:25Speaker 1: my in laws asked if everything was okay because it
- 55:28Speaker 1: seemed like we had something to hide. They can't seem
- 55:31Speaker 1: to take a hint. How can I get this under
- 55:33Speaker 1: control before it gets worse. We're a newly married couple
- 55:37Speaker 1: and this is my biggest problem thus far. And this
- 55:41Speaker 1: is a major problem, Jay Anthony Brown. Look, I know
- 55:47Speaker 1: this has got to be a crazy situation for you.
- 55:50Speaker 1: I'm really sorry because I mean really, like you said,
- 55:53Speaker 1: if you can't feel comfortable in your own home, where
- 55:56Speaker 1: can you be comfortable? I mean, really, this is your house.
- 56:00Speaker 1: People walk around naked in their house. Okay, you can't
- 56:03Speaker 1: do that. You cannot do that because you never know
- 56:07Speaker 1: when your in laws are going to pop up and start,
- 56:09Speaker 1: you know, walking through the house and going through your
- 56:12Speaker 1: refrigerator and your things. It's a good thing you closed
- 56:15Speaker 1: off your master bedroom door. It's a good thing you
- 56:17Speaker 1: closed off your home office door. How about let's getting
- 56:20Speaker 1: that bathroom, that guest bathroom upstairs. Let's close that door now,
- 56:25Speaker 1: and then you know, when you go downstairs, close some
- 56:27Speaker 1: of those doors too. Maybe then they will take a
- 56:30Speaker 1: hint to stop this. This is crazy, and your husband
- 56:35Speaker 1: is the problem because he doesn't see anything wrong with it,
- 56:38Speaker 1: but you have to let him know how you feel.
- 56:41Speaker 1: There's going to have to be a family meeting. Your
- 56:43Speaker 1: husband's going to have to align with you, unite with
- 56:47Speaker 1: you his wife. You know, you leave and cleave your
- 56:50Speaker 1: family and then you join with your wife. That's how
- 56:53Speaker 1: a marriage is supposed to go biblically. Okay, you know
- 56:57Speaker 1: if we follow that, but you guys have to have
- 57:00Speaker 1: a family meeting and just tell them, tell them nicely, respectfully.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I say, they can't wander through your house. This is
- 57:07Speaker 1: your home, or you know, I mean, they can't do this.
- 57:12Speaker 1: This is wrong, it's disrespectful, it's all of that. Have
- 57:16Speaker 1: a family meeting as soon as possible. Let your husband
- 57:19Speaker 1: lead if he can, let him know how uncomfortable you are,
- 57:21Speaker 1: how unhappy you are, and if he wants a happy life,
- 57:24Speaker 1: he knows that he has to make his wife happy,
- 57:26Speaker 1: so hopefully this will work. If if that doesn't work,
- 57:30Speaker 1: then you're gonna have to get locks on your refrigerator
- 57:33Speaker 1: and all this other stuff so they won't get This
- 57:35Speaker 1: is terrible. This is really, this is real. This is
- 57:38Speaker 1: your home. This is your home, all right? All right,
- 57:40Speaker 1: come on, Jay, what you got locked up? Let me?
- 57:44Speaker 1: Can I talk to the two people. It's your turn
- 57:47Speaker 1: in the house right now, the oldest people here, that
- 57:49Speaker 1: would be you two right here right now. Follow me.
- 57:51Speaker 1: We're gonna walk through the house and I'm gonna lay
- 57:53Speaker 1: down Saru. Now, this is my refrigerator. Okay, if you
- 57:56Speaker 1: didn't putting that in there, don't take your ass in there. Okay,
- 58:00Speaker 1: all right, ohad walk with me. Walk with me, now,
- 58:01Speaker 1: walk with me. We're going somewhere. Okay, we're going somewhere,
- 58:04Speaker 1: this lindry room. I don't want your ass roaming around
- 58:07Speaker 1: up in here. Okay, I got everything straighten out. Don't
- 58:10Speaker 1: go in there, all right, Walk with me, Walk with
- 58:11Speaker 1: me walking. I'm gonna keep up, keep up. We're gon
- 58:14Speaker 1: we're going upstairs, all right, this room, this room, and
- 58:17Speaker 1: this room. In fact, y'all stay downstairs and you're not
- 58:19Speaker 1: allowed to take your butt upstairs. Okay. When you come
- 58:22Speaker 1: over here, look at me, old people, look at me,
- 58:24Speaker 1: Look at my eye, Look at my eyes. Come over.
- 58:27Speaker 1: I'm sitting in these two chairs right here, Grandpa, you
- 58:30Speaker 1: sit here, my mom, you sit over there, all right,
- 58:32Speaker 1: and that's gonna be it. I don't want to hit
- 58:35Speaker 1: nothing else. No, no, no, no, nothing, that's it. I
- 58:40Speaker 1: like zip it zipping. Okay. I'm not trying to be disrespectful,
- 58:46Speaker 1: but I don't need you to old people roaming your
- 58:49Speaker 1: ass all around my damn my house. Okay, Now I'm
- 58:51Speaker 1: not gonna say it no more. I've said it. I'm
- 58:57Speaker 1: done with it. I'm done. Okay, yeah, okay, all right,
- 59:03Speaker 1: thank you, Jay, Come on, junior job. You know this
- 59:06Speaker 1: this this lady here that this is the best device
- 59:09Speaker 1: I have. I've seen people like this, but um, pretty
- 59:13Speaker 1: much what she needs really is a traumatic experience at
- 59:15Speaker 1: her house. You see, something traumatic got to happen over that.
- 59:19Speaker 1: You know, trauma keep people away. And so what I
- 59:22Speaker 1: suggest is you stage a robbery, a robbery at your house. Now. Now, Now,
- 59:31Speaker 1: I got some cousins you can hide and they real teeth.
- 59:35Speaker 1: They're not expensive, but they fought one hundred five. We
- 59:38Speaker 1: can get these family members gone. They have they have
- 59:42Speaker 1: three packages day off. Uh. They have one call the
- 59:45Speaker 1: close encounter. That that's where they meet you out in
- 59:50Speaker 1: the driveway and you just had a close encounter Secondly,
- 59:55Speaker 1: they could come out at dark and meet up with them.
- 59:57Speaker 1: That's called scared straight. But the one I recommend damn
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: ned date. I'm just getting that package. That's where y'all
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: leave a house they come me in. This involves tape. Uh,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: it involves being bound up tape left in that threefold night.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Hold on, Junior, hold on, hold on. All right, we're
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: gonna have part two of your response coming up to
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: the Strawberry letter at twenty three after the hour subject
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: stop wandering all over my house. We'll get back into
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: it right after this you're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: we're gonna recap the Strawberry letter. Uh and uh come
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: on with and wrap up with Junior's part two response.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: And then of course we have to get to the nephew. Uh.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: The subject is stopped wandering all over my house. We
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: all thought j Anathony Brown wrote this letter, but this
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: was from a new wife, newly married, young lady. Uh.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: She's upset about her in laws. She's very uncomfortable uh
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: in her own home because when they come over, they
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: wander through the house like it's theirs. They're all in
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: the refrigerator fixing food. Leftover's food that she's cooked for
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: her and her husband. They're all upstairs using the guest
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: bathroom when there's a perfectly fine gas bathroom downstairs. The
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: mother in law things, it's okay just to walk through
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: freely through like she's lost something and can't find it.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: The dad's all up in the refrigerator fixing himself plates.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: It's very disrespectful, she's saying, and they do it without asking.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: They don't see it as a problem. But her husband
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: doesn't see it as a problem because this is how
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: he was raised. So she's just trying to figure out,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: you know, what should she what should she do. She's
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: tried to close off doors upstairs to the master bedroom
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: and to the home office, but they still haven't taken
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: a hint. She wants to know how can she get
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: it under control before it gets worse. Junior, we left
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: off with him saying he has some cousins and they
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: can fix it if they stage robbery. Go ahead and finish. Now,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: these cousins of mine have packages that they didn't purchase.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Now now they got the first package that you need.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: You need a traumatic experience at your house with these
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: in laws. Okay, now the first package close encounter. They'll
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: meet him in the driveway. You know, scam a little
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: bit neck you one is uh scared straight, that's what
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: they're short at night, and meet him outside dadcare. But
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: the one we recommend is the damn near dead. When
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: they damn near died at your house, they don't come back.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: See all these places they like to roll. My cousins
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: will be all in these rooms. So you know she
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: liked to go upstairs. You're the bathroom. Got a cousin
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: gonna come out there, grab her, tie hu up, bring
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: her down to the living room. Then, Daddy, I got
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: a cousin just talked up to fit in a refrigerator.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: He pop out soon. He gonna take him down. Body,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: tie him up, bring him all out of the living room.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Day anybody in there now they leave him. Then they
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: find two times at the house that way. They will
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: ever come back. When you come back on vacation, like
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: what happened. They said, girl, we got to go this.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Do you fire a warning shot shot that let them
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: know when you find the na have tears coming down
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: the face. You need all of that. I like you,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: all right, thank you, thank you, all right, Here we
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: go nephew, stop wandering all over my house. Help this
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: young lady out, all right, if if you don't want
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: to kill him. From Junior's perspective, I'm gonna scare you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: a different way. I'm gonna show you a different way.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Put that naked on them, naked out on them when
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: they come over, greet him at the front door. But
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: ass naked. Hey, y'all, come on it. We wanted to
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: go coming by today. Come on in lit room, stay naked,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: don't change, go to the frigerator, pull out some form neck,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: throw something on the stove. Form naked. When they come
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: to the bathroom, dough be wideo you're sitting there naked.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Let them see you in your getting this and just
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: run it up and run it on them all over
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: the house. Ass naked, and I promise you this will
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: run nil all but get up close to him and
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: you're talking to him like you damn thee up on them, naken,
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: touch the naked, touch the johnny huh family meeting, your
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: family meeting naked. I wanted to talk to y'all about
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: the man. Spread time me with the man's bread. Don't
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: don't you put your knees together, bring them out. Bring
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: when you sit down. We don't have that cloth on
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: your knee like you out that put that naked all hey,
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: reach set your glass down next, yes, yes, drop something
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: on the floor in front of and ben over to
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: pick it up and wait, wait, it'll get scratch while
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: you talk. You can scratch. You can scratch, you can
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: do anything. Just keep it naked when you when you
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: talking to somebody, go over and throw your arm around.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Come over here and let me talk to you boys,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: let me tell you something and just just hit them
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: with it naked. But Jay, after that, after that, will
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: the inlaws ever come over? And what will they say?

- 1:06:15Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter podcast. That's right, it's on demand now,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: coming up in ten minutes. We'll review the headlines and
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: some trending topics. That's all coming up right after this.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, So Popeyes,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: you know this wildly popular chicken sandwich, it's it's it's
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: gonna remain on menus nationwide despite the chaos chaos it
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: is causing, uh, including a fatal stabbing in Maryland that
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: was the most tragic over a chicken sandwich. I mean,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: that's really hard. Hard hard. Is it all us as
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: acting like this over this chicken? Is it mostly us chicken?
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: I got to be honest about it. I didn't, I
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: mean clowning. It's not just us in line, No, it's
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: everybody in line but us clowning. Yeah, we hunt. Yeah,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: But my thing is this, I don't want none of
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: this chicken. If it makes you do that, I don't
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: want that. That's exactly they don't want that. There's nothing
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: that good. That'll know, there's nothing that good. I don't
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: think the last thing I had that was that good.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I've still been chasing it, and I don't want nothing
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: else better than that. I don't. I tell you I
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: had that good at Merit and look what that got.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: You shouldn't just got the sandwich swich. So a rep
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: for popeye Is told TMZ that the chicken sandwich is
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: still available. A Popeye spokesperson added that the Maryland incident
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: is a tragedy. Yes it is, and popeye Is is
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: saddened to hear about this senseless act of violence. We
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: along with the franchise, are cooperating with local authorities to
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: gather more information. Uh, you know we're talking about this.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: We're kind of you know, this is such a sad situation.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: But a lot of people now are even scared to
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: drive by a Popeyes. You know, they see the lines
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: and they just you know, keep driving because it's just crazy.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: It's too crazy. I mean, that woman tore up her
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: nice Mercedes Benz trying to stop someone for getting in
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: front of her in line over a chicken sandwich. Really,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: and then the ultimate someone dies come on, yeah, Surley.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: In Houston, we have a place called the Turkey Leg hut. Yeah,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: and the line is down the street. Ain't nobody fighting?
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: The line is down the street. That Turkey Leg is
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: just that damn good. Can I tell you that it's
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: people flying in to go to the Turkey legue hood.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: That's how cold is. No fights fight the reason don't
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: fake because once you get a turkey leg, you can
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: beat the hell out at Yet everybody. Wow. So it's
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: called the What Tummy. It's in Houston, the Turkey League.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Classic times we've been down to Houston. You guys have
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: never taken us there? Got there. Coming up at the

- 1:09:32Speaker 1: long time Wheel of Fortune host Pat say Jack is
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: recovering after emergency surgery on Thursday to repair a blot

- 1:09:45Speaker 1: seventy three year old say Jack is resting comfortably. Taping
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: of the popular game show and it is still popular
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: to this day. The taping was paused on Thursday and
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: resumed on Friday with co host Vannah White as the host. Yesterday,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Pat Say, she tweeted, Yeah, listen to Pat Say Jack's
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: tweet tummy. He said, I'm so grateful for all the
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: good wishes during my recent illness. Happy to say that
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: the worst has passed and I'll be out of the
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: hospital in a day or two then back to work
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: unless Van and White has completely taken over. So I
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: think she's doing quite well. To answer your question, sounds
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: like she's doing well. Yeah, somebody and took too much
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: control around here, you know. Oh yeah, but yeah, that's um.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: That's good to know that he's on the mend and
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: he'll be back. Yeah. The puzzle. Liked to buy a verb?
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: What's the puzzle? Jay, I'm not a verb. I've been
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: doing that since I was a baby, over twenty years.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: She's been flipping and I don't know why because they
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: flipped by himself. She has to touch him first, Yes,
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: she has to touch her, and they flipping to see
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: the dress. If she don't go touching the letters, ain't
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: man used to be in love with bad? You wish
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I couldn't wait. She came out. Wow, you know what
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: she's gonna have on. Everybody was waiting for to see
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: what Vana White was wearing. That is true that it
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: was there. You know, pap Sayjack is tall, Tommy, what
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: have to do with something like I can't have Willow fortune?
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: If you don't want to know what you're saying, you
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: gotta be tall to host will for I'm just saying
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I've seen him in person and he's tall. That's tall. Okay,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: So they they need a short wheel of fortune. That's
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: what you're trying to say. You need saying to be
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: able to wheel. That's all I'm saying. All I'm saying
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: he's tall. Yeah, okay, that was a little Pye's attitude, Tommy.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: See what I'm saying pop Eye's attitude. I don't like
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: him with the angry chicken. So this story right here

- 1:12:13Speaker 1: it's offering patrons some booze to go along with their
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: um uh pooh. Okay. The pub is appropriately named. It's
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: called Number two Tavern, And yeah, what's going on. It's
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: called Number two Tavern. It is the world's first bar
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: powered by recycled wait for it, wait for it, human waste. Hey, okay,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: they use they use the lights is getting low to
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: make the beer. No, no, they used the waste to
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: burn the lights the power to generate the Okay, it
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: actually converts pooh into biogas that can be used to
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: generate eat and electricity. Yeah you go, so I'm smelling
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: ass coming through the v Hey, no, how about this
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: time me? The phrase drunk is as really happens? Or
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: your blanket is drunk chilling him? So full of this
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: is really distaste for real though. Yeah, well you can
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: say the number two tavern. It's gotta stay full. When
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: your kids ask you, mummy, what does that mean? Daddy?
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: What does that mean? The number two. I'm not here
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: to get a bill. I'm just here to drop out something.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: We're from the run. I don't know. All right, coming up, guys,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: coming up, more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. More

- 1:15:09Speaker 1: appear as a Dedre roper. We all know her as Spinderella. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: shout out to Spinderella. We used to work with her
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: and we worked in La at the Beat. That's right.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Mario Van Peoples will direct, and both Saw and Pepper
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: our executive producers. Queen Latifa is also a producer. The
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: series will air on Lifetime sometime next year, but no
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: release date has been given. Although Salt and Pepper have
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: not released any original materials since nineteen ninety seven. Yeah
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: they are. They still tour uh yeah, I mean and
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: they still put on a great show. So I definitely
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: want to see the movie. M junior. Do you even
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: know who Salton Pepper? You know? Yo yo yo yo
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: baby pop? Yeah, yea, better make you fast if I'm
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: going all right? More of show coming up at thirty
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: three minute after the hour right after this, you're listening
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: to show, well, guys. The highlight of the People's Choice
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Awards on Sunday night came when Kevin Hart appeared on stage.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: He walked on the stage accepted the award for the
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Best Comedy Act for his Irresponsible Comedy Tour. Congratulations to
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Kevin Hart. This marked Kevin's first public appearance since his
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: scary scary car accident two months ago now almost Kevin
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: walked out on stage to a standing ovation. He accepted
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: his awards, saying, first and foremost, I thank God because
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: I definitely don't have to be here. Wow. Wow, being
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: that I am that makes me appreciate life even more.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: It makes me appreciate the things that really matter. Family.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I want to thank my wife, my kids. They really
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: stepped up to the plate. For me, Kevin looked really good.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: He looked very serious though serious. I mean it is
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: a serious thing, it is. Yeah, it was life changing, yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: but he looked good. We're all glad to see that
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: he is back. He's up, he's moving around, he's you know,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: making public appearances. There, gonna be on the radio coming
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: up soon without two hours, especially him in the Red
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Cup Boys when he comes back on serious. I think
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: this change is his comedy jake, depending on how he
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: deals with it. I mean, I mean I went through
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: the loop and for me it was the ability to
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: make jokes, so I mean both are life threatening, so
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: it's how he decides to deal with it, you know, right,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: You will only know that when you see I mean,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: looking rich de Prad when he was you know, almost
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: near death. He did a fifteen minute routine off though
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: yeah fire, yeah, so you never know how it affects.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Yeah he didn't. He did seem serious last night, but
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: he looked good. He looked healthy and looked strong. So
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: we're glad he's recovering and recovering well, and we can't
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: wait for him to come back on this show as well. Yeah,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: all right, coming up next, our last break of the days,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: break up the day, and some closing remarks from the
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: one in em lead. These are something he left us
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: with a right Steve Harvey coming up at forty nine
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, right after this, you're listening to
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: show all right, here we are, guys, last break of
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: the day on this Tuesday. Steve, you have some closing
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: remarks for us. I know you do. Yeah, you know.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: I want to remind everybody of something that God created
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: us all for greatness. All of us were created in
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: His likeness. All of us were created to be an
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: example of what God can do in people's lives. We
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: will all create it for this. What happens along the
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: way is we make decisions. Because God gave us the
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: power of choice, we make decisions at people as people
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: that counteract what God really intended for us. And one
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: of the reasons we counteract what God intended for us
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: is because the devil's main job the opposition is to
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: not allow you to reach your potential. See the devil
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: don't ever want you to reach your potential, because then
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: he'll have another child of God out there spreading the
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: word and showing off and being an example of what
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: light can do, and what love can do, and what
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: the power of prayer can do. So his job is
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: to make each and every one of us fall by
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: the wayside. That's his constant mission in life. To make
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: us think we're not worthy, to make us think we can't,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: to make us think it ain't possible, to make us
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: look at our environment, to make us feel like, well,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: it's because I'm this, I can't be that. Ain't none
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: of that truth, None of that is true. I bought
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: a book the other day by Joel Oldstein because I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: was listening to him over the weekend and he sent this.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: He was talking about his new book called Next Level Thinking,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: and I bought the book. And because I constantly try
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: to reinforce myself. As successful as you may think I am,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I still have a ways to go and I will
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: always try to improve myself. And people like Joel Ostin,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Bishop Jakes, Bishop Olmer, Bishop Getty's down there in North Carolina.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: My boy, you know, it's a lot of Charles Jenkins
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: up in Chicago. There's a lot of dudes, man that
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: called me to make sure I'm okay. Check in on me, Tyler,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: check in on me, Doctor Phield, check in on me.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: I got a lot a lot of people check in
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: on me. Man, make sure I'm okay. I was reading
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: his book because it's just I just needed some more
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: information and one of the things I had learned from
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: his one. But in the first chapter, the title of
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: his chapters be a barrier Breaker, Be a barrier Breaker,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: And throughout the book it just talks about your surroundings,
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: your environment. That because you're from a family who ain't
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: nobody never made it out, don't mean that you have
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: to not be one of that. You have to be
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: one of those and not make it out. Because you
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: come from a hood that don't have a whole lot
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: of millionaires made from that hood, That don't mean that
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: you can't be a barrier breaker and be one of
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: the millionaires from the hood. Just because nobody on your
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: block ever went to college, don't mean you can't be
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: the first one. Maybe nobody in your family ever went
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: to school, you're the first one. Maybe nobody in your
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: family ever became a supervisor at a post office or
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: the FedEx or UPS or any place else. Don't mean
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: that you can't You can become a barrier breaker. But
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: see what a lot of us do is we get
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: so immersed in our environment that we adapt to our environment,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: and we must we act like this is it? Well,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: if God had wanted me to be rich, I'd have
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: been born rich. What what did you say? I heard
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: of God say that if God had wanted me to
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: be rich, I would have been born rich. So let
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: me ask you something, brother, all these people that have
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: gone from poverty to riches, what was their excuse or
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: what mindset did they use to become a barrier breaker,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: to break the barrier poverty to become well off. I
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: chose to be a barrier breaker. I knew what my
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: family was. I loved my family dearly and still do.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: But what my family had I didn't want. As much
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: as I loved my mother and father, what my father
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: was and how hard I saw him work, I didn't
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: want that. I wanted something else. Now do I appreciate
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: the work as to keep put in me? Most certainly
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: do that. I appreciate the faith in the fear of
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: God that my mam wa put in me. Oh, I
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: most certainly do. But I didn't want to be the
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: warre sitting at the church on the usher board. I
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: didn't want that. I didn't want to work as hard
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: as my father and make the same money as my father.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: I wanted to something else. I wanted to be a
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: barrier breaker. A barrier breaker. And one of the things
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: he talked about in the book is that so often
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: we led our environment and how we were raised, and
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: other people's expectation of us set limits in our life.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: He was saying that we adapt to what's around us.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: So what he said in the book I wanted to
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: share with you all. In the book, he said that
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: if you take an oak tree seed, the seed of
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: an oak tree, and you plant this seed from this
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: oak tree in a two foot pot, that oak tree
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: will never become what it was created to be if
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: you leave it in that pot, not because there's something
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: wrong with the seed, but because of the environment is in.
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: Did you hear what I just said. There is nothing
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: wrong with you. The problem is your environment. If you
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: stay in the environment, you will never grown. But you
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: can choose to become a barrier breaker and get out
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: of any environment that you in. You can escape poverty,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: you can escape the hood, you can escape bad thinking people,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: you can escape the dope game. You can become non
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: addicted to drugs. You can stop being an alcoholic. You
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: can stop with God's help. If you take a oak
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: tree seed and you plant it in a two foot pot,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: that TRII will never become what it was created to
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: be if you leave it in the pot, not cause
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: that's something wrong with the seed, but because of environment
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: is in. You got to change your environment. You fine,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: you got to see you got everything you need to grow?
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: You did? Those are my clothes? Drop it, baby, drop it, yes, sir,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: get out of that environment. Man. For all Steve Harvey contests,
