- 0:59Speaker 4: Do love you.
- 1:13Speaker 5: Turn, you.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I can't.
- 1:40Speaker 6: I got to turn the mouth turn, probably got to
- 1:44Speaker 6: turn mouth turn A wad of the money up looking me,
- 1:55Speaker 6: come me, come out you thin.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 7: Good morning everybody. You'll listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 7: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey Man oh Man,
- 2:10Speaker 7: got a radio show. Yeah do God so big to me? Man,
- 2:15Speaker 7: I just have to tell you about it. I can't
- 2:17Speaker 7: help it. It's rather obvious to me how big, how
- 2:22Speaker 7: good God is. He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain.
- 2:27Speaker 7: He owned one, he'd be clowning, he'd be just showing out.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Man.
- 2:34Speaker 7: I'm just over here, just on the receiving end. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 7: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:43Speaker 7: mission today?
- 2:45Speaker 4: What are you waiting for? Why do we as people
- 2:50Speaker 4: delay what we want.
- 2:55Speaker 7: Or delay the process to begin what we want on
- 3:00Speaker 7: our hopes, our dreams, our desires. Why won't you start
- 3:04Speaker 7: your mission today? Why don't we all decide together that
- 3:10Speaker 7: just individually. Look you listening, you got something that you've
- 3:15Speaker 7: been dreaming about. You got an ambition of yours that's
- 3:18Speaker 7: not yet fulfilled. You got goals you haven't accomplished yet.
- 3:22Speaker 7: Everybody has them. Everybody's got them. Everybody's got something that's
- 3:27Speaker 7: on the table that they haven't yet attacked yet. What
- 3:31Speaker 7: are you waiting for? Start your mission today? Stop the procrastination. Now,
- 3:37Speaker 7: the procrastination is only hurting you yourself. If you got
- 3:42Speaker 7: a goal of aspiration to dream and you fall off
- 3:45Speaker 7: track momentarily, you can get back to that because God
- 3:50Speaker 7: know where you left off.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Now.
- 3:52Speaker 7: You may have to accomplish a few more things since
- 3:54Speaker 7: you stopped for a long period of time, but God
- 3:56Speaker 7: knows where you left off, you can get back on track. Look, man,
- 4:00Speaker 7: this dream of being on TV since I was a kid,
- 4:03Speaker 7: and it got off track. Now it got off track.
- 4:07Speaker 7: I just kept it as one of the dreams, and
- 4:10Speaker 7: in some real dog moments when it looked like it
- 4:13Speaker 7: wasn't gonna happen, all I was hanging on to was
- 4:16Speaker 7: just the hope that one day it could. But that's
- 4:19Speaker 7: what faith is really about. Faith is the belief in
- 4:22Speaker 7: things that you cannot see. But faith gives you the
- 4:26Speaker 7: confidence to keep hoping.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Man.
- 4:29Speaker 7: Sometimes it just keep hope alive. Sometimes you heard Jesse
- 4:33Speaker 7: Jackson say it, just keep hope alive. Sometimes, man, it's
- 4:36Speaker 7: just the hope. I was hanging on a hope, And
- 4:41Speaker 7: I'm talking about when it got real ugly and funky
- 4:44Speaker 7: out there for me, when it looked like I wasn't
- 4:46Speaker 7: gonna ever make it, and all of the facts was
- 4:49Speaker 7: in and everything pointed in the direction you not gonna
- 4:53Speaker 7: make it. You done really messed up this time. Then
- 4:56Speaker 7: I sat there and I just hung on to the hope.
- 5:00Speaker 7: But man, that's what I'm saying. If you got a
- 5:03Speaker 7: dream on aspiration of vision or something, when you fall
- 5:07Speaker 7: off track and you want to go get back in line,
- 5:10Speaker 7: God holds your place.
- 5:12Speaker 4: See. He held on to that for me.
- 5:15Speaker 7: He knew I was off tracking, out of line, but
- 5:17Speaker 7: he said, okay, here's where we stopped.
- 5:19Speaker 4: You want to be on TV. Now.
- 5:21Speaker 7: When you get it together and you quit tripping and
- 5:23Speaker 7: you come and your turn to me, I'm gonna hold
- 5:25Speaker 7: your place, put you back in line. Then we're gonna
- 5:27Speaker 7: finish the journey that took me a lot longer to
- 5:29Speaker 7: get here than I wanted to. But then it was
- 5:31Speaker 7: necessary because I needed all of them mishaps to happen
- 5:34Speaker 7: to me along the way. So when I got on
- 5:36Speaker 7: the radio one day, which I did not see coming,
- 5:39Speaker 7: Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all. That's why I
- 5:42Speaker 7: say it every day. See, because of this radio show
- 5:44Speaker 7: that I didn't see coming. Now I have stories to tell.
- 5:49Speaker 7: I got experiences to share, and I can tell you
- 5:52Speaker 7: about me better I can tell you about anybody. And
- 5:56Speaker 7: I don't been through enough whereas relatable, where enough people
- 5:59Speaker 7: can go. Man, that happened to me, appreciate you saying that.
- 6:03Speaker 4: That's what it was for.
- 6:04Speaker 7: See, I get it now. See at the time, no,
- 6:07Speaker 7: I didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 6:10Speaker 7: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 6:12Speaker 7: lot of stuff he was pulling off on me. But
- 6:15Speaker 7: in essence I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 6:18Speaker 7: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 6:21Speaker 7: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 6:26Speaker 7: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 6:30Speaker 7: there and did wrong. He forgave me, he said, because
- 6:34Speaker 7: man if you ever come to me, I have a
- 6:37Speaker 7: plan for you that is going to be far and above.
- 6:42Speaker 7: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what
- 6:46Speaker 7: I did. I just got sick of me, good and
- 6:49Speaker 7: sick of me, and I turned it over to God.
- 6:52Speaker 7: And then God started working and here I am today.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Now he threw it me yet Nope? Have I arrived
- 7:00Speaker 7: jet Nope? But guess what the journey is cool?
- 7:05Speaker 4: You know.
- 7:05Speaker 7: It's like I was talking to this young brother the
- 7:07Speaker 7: other day about comedy, and he's a really good stand up.
- 7:11Speaker 4: You know, this young dude that's really good.
- 7:13Speaker 7: He said, Man, what is this I feel every night
- 7:17Speaker 7: before I go on stage. I don't know what it is.
- 7:19Speaker 7: I just want it off me, I said, sir, listen
- 7:23Speaker 7: to me, you young dude. This thing that climbs on
- 7:26Speaker 7: my back every night before I go on stage. I
- 7:29Speaker 7: don't know what it is. It's got something to do
- 7:32Speaker 7: with pressure, It's got something to do with anticipation. It's
- 7:35Speaker 7: got a whole lot to do with the fear of falling.
- 7:38Speaker 4: He said, what you mean by that?
- 7:40Speaker 7: I said, every night I walk out on stage, it's
- 7:43Speaker 7: like I'm about to go and step off of cliff.
- 7:46Speaker 7: I say, it's a sickening feeling. He said, man, but
- 7:48Speaker 7: you do so well. I said, that's because the parachute opens.
- 7:52Speaker 7: I say, but I want you to understand something. When
- 7:54Speaker 7: I first walk out there, it's just stepping off the cliff. Now,
- 7:59Speaker 7: the yolks provide a parachute which slows my descent when
- 8:04Speaker 7: I jump off the cliff, and I turned it into
- 8:07Speaker 7: a glide. And then I take the audience this way
- 8:10Speaker 7: and I swung them back over to that way. We
- 8:12Speaker 7: might swing out to the Colorado Rockies. We may go
- 8:16Speaker 7: down to Miami with this joke. We may take it
- 8:18Speaker 7: on out to LA and I just swing back and
- 8:20Speaker 7: forth till I land softly. The crowd cheers. The night
- 8:24Speaker 7: is over with, I said, but it's been too many
- 8:27Speaker 7: nights though. When I walked off that cliff and I
- 8:29Speaker 7: pulled the cord and the parachute didn't open, I said,
- 8:32Speaker 7: Now I'm just free falling out there for thirty minutes.
- 8:35Speaker 7: Ain't no jokes working. Ain't the parachute didn't open. I said,
- 8:39Speaker 7: So see, that's what it's like for me. And then
- 8:42Speaker 7: you know what I found out if you done walked
- 8:44Speaker 7: off the cliff in life, and you ain't got no
- 8:47Speaker 7: guard in your life. It's like not having a parachute.
- 8:51Speaker 7: You step off the cliff and you just free falling.
- 8:55Speaker 7: Now see we all now that fog gets you closer
- 8:58Speaker 7: to the grave, right, we all heading to the grave
- 9:01Speaker 7: from the moment we're born. But the cool thing about
- 9:03Speaker 7: a relationship with God is when you step off the
- 9:06Speaker 7: cliff and you got God here a parachute. You still
- 9:10Speaker 7: going down, but it's a nice ride, and God just
- 9:14Speaker 7: helps your descent appear more like a rise and more
- 9:18Speaker 7: like a euphoric fall, instead of not having no God
- 9:22Speaker 7: in your life and you just walking off that cliff
- 9:25Speaker 7: every day, free falling.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Ain't got no.
- 9:27Speaker 7: Cord, you steady pulling, you hollering the whole way because
- 9:31Speaker 7: you to mess around with yourself, and ain't let God
- 9:34Speaker 7: come into your life and provide.
- 9:35Speaker 4: A parachute for you.
- 9:37Speaker 7: I would rather have a parachute since I got to
- 9:40Speaker 7: jump every day, than to not have one. God has
- 9:44Speaker 7: been like a parachute for me. Ask me where that
- 9:48Speaker 7: came from. I can't tell you. But like I always say,
- 9:51Speaker 7: most good things that happen in my life that I
- 9:54Speaker 7: can't explain, it's usually him.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening morning show.
- 10:01Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, it is here, the Steve Harvey Morning

- 10:14Speaker 7: us rejoice and be glad in it. I want to
- 10:18Speaker 7: thank ILOs Via Harvey for saying that to me on
- 10:21Speaker 7: my way out to school every morning. I didn't get
- 10:24Speaker 7: it back then because I was boy and I just
- 10:27Speaker 7: didn't want to apply that.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I ain't understand why.
- 10:30Speaker 7: She kept saying that I heard this yesterday, But oh God,
- 10:35Speaker 7: I thank her for that, because now I realize today
- 10:40Speaker 7: is today that the Lord has made that I had
- 10:42Speaker 7: nothing to do with the production of it. He makes
- 10:45Speaker 7: that sun come up every single day. You can't stop it.
- 10:49Speaker 7: You can't move it shifted, you can't do nothing with
- 10:52Speaker 7: its appearance or its arrival or its departure. Man for
- 10:58Speaker 7: the Mighty God, research thank you all for the day. Yes,
- 11:04Speaker 7: ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:05Speaker 4: This show stars a bunch of Christians.
- 11:08Speaker 7: Shirley Strawberry who sends for scriptures every morning. I've asked
- 11:13Speaker 7: her too, and I thank her to do it. Call
- 11:16Speaker 7: her for real? Who is a Christian that's very similar
- 11:19Speaker 7: to the Christian that I am. Entry level Christianity only
- 11:24Speaker 7: Carl and I do not practice advanced Christianity. We are
- 11:27Speaker 7: very comfortable with entry level. If you slap us, you
- 11:32Speaker 7: will be slapped back. The mouth of the South. Give
- 11:37Speaker 7: him all the praise and glory, the mouth of the South,
- 11:43Speaker 7: who's raised in Mississippian Old Lord, if you don't relieve
- 11:46Speaker 7: any religion anywhere, you need it now, Ladies and Jermy
- 11:51Speaker 7: kill Spates, better known as Junior, who has called on
- 11:54Speaker 7: God more time than any of us put together. In
- 12:00Speaker 7: week one week, he said his name more times than
- 12:04Speaker 7: we do in a year. The last but not leads
- 12:08Speaker 7: a man who resembles the art of Christianity, even at
- 12:12Speaker 7: a lower level than Carle and we do entry level Christianity.
- 12:17Speaker 4: He just does basic Christianity. It's called b C. He
- 12:24Speaker 4: has a form of Christianity that that was done before Christ.
- 12:28Speaker 4: He honors the.
- 12:32Speaker 8: Yes.
- 12:33Speaker 4: This boy is different. He's a knockout artist.
- 12:37Speaker 7: He's a grudge holder, hate the part of his repertoire, hothead,
- 12:46Speaker 7: short tempered, quick week.
- 12:49Speaker 4: All of that.
- 12:51Speaker 7: Has the nerve to love the Lord anyhow and help
- 12:56Speaker 7: wounded veterans around the world, right, got the nerve to
- 13:02Speaker 7: be it. In the words of my mama, tender hearty.
- 13:07Speaker 7: She told me about my father one day. One day,
- 13:09Speaker 7: my mama said, boy, you just like your daddy. Your
- 13:11Speaker 7: daddy rough, Your daddy'll whoop a man, but your daddy
- 13:15Speaker 7: tender hearty. He said, your daddy cry. I said, Mama,
- 13:19Speaker 7: I ain't never seen daddy cry before. She said, you
- 13:21Speaker 7: ain't never seen him. I'm married to him. You tend
- 13:27Speaker 7: to hearty just like your daddy. So boy, you ignory
- 13:30Speaker 7: just like him too.
- 13:34Speaker 4: This is Steve Harvey Marty Show. Take it away, Charlott.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yes, it is coming up. In thirty two minutes after

- 13:53Speaker 2: Right here is your son is going back to pre
- 13:57Speaker 2: k to let's go catch dog. I don't want hear
- 13:59Speaker 2: nothing else but.
- 14:01Speaker 8: Hell.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Yes, I'm trying to reach missus Thomas.
- 14:04Speaker 9: Please.
- 14:06Speaker 2: My name is mister Stapleton. I'm actually the principal over
- 14:09Speaker 2: at elementary school. You're I'm looking at my records indicating
- 14:13Speaker 2: that your son, Thomas is going to be starting his
- 14:16Speaker 2: first grade.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Baby is ready, right, Listen, miss Thomas.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I've been going through actually all of the children's records
- 14:25Speaker 2: that will be starting school, and I'm looking at your
- 14:28Speaker 2: son's grades from his kindergarten. Well, no, not exactly. I
- 14:35Speaker 2: mean there's been a few. I actually spoke with the
- 14:38Speaker 2: teacher and who he was under in kindergarten, and it
- 14:41Speaker 2: seems like he just really wasn't up to par as.
- 14:44Speaker 4: The rest of the children.
- 14:46Speaker 5: His conduct. Now, he talks, but he gets his work.
- 14:50Speaker 5: So what else is she saying on that that ain't right?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Well, what's what it seems to be, ma'am, is that
- 14:56Speaker 2: his grades weren't up to par as the rest of
- 14:58Speaker 2: the other children.
- 14:58Speaker 4: She did tell me he was a disobedient child.
- 15:01Speaker 5: No, he disobedient and talking two different things.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Come on, Okay, well.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Man, listen, what we've decided here is we're gonna let
- 15:09Speaker 2: little actually do another year of kindergarten.
- 15:12Speaker 5: No, y'all ain't gonna gonna let him do another year
- 15:14Speaker 5: of kindergarten.
- 15:15Speaker 4: No, sign man, that's that's the only choice I.
- 15:17Speaker 7: Have after lo u.
- 15:19Speaker 5: No, we got our letter in the mail with our
- 15:22Speaker 5: report card the week after school's started, and it said
- 15:26Speaker 5: on the back promoted. And if I got to get
- 15:29Speaker 5: about this couch and go get it, I'm gonna be
- 15:31Speaker 5: out because I'm telling you right now we will be
- 15:34Speaker 5: in the first grade. Kindergarten. Wasn't that hard. I'm not
- 15:37Speaker 5: sure what they told you about him, but it must
- 15:40Speaker 5: be the wrong.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Well, he don't understand that. He doesn't color as well
- 15:44Speaker 2: as the rest of kids. He's all out of it.
- 15:46Speaker 2: He's out of the lines when he colored. He doesn't
- 15:48Speaker 2: know his numbers completely. And that's kind of what we
- 15:51Speaker 2: need when you first come into into the.
- 15:54Speaker 5: First grad when I can show you on this paper
- 15:56Speaker 5: he did satisfactory all the way through. Now you're about
- 15:59Speaker 5: to out and I'm already sick calling me with some
- 16:03Speaker 5: by my son blunking kender garden. He ain't that kind
- 16:06Speaker 5: of thing.
- 16:06Speaker 4: It does not color well, ma'am.
- 16:08Speaker 5: I say, Colin ain't got nothing to do with the
- 16:10Speaker 5: dadgarde kindergarten. He is going to the first grade and
- 16:13Speaker 5: I'll be down there on August twenty four.
- 16:15Speaker 4: No, I will not be able to allow you to get.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Into school on a god, mister, I'm sorry, and let
- 16:22Speaker 5: me get Let me tell you what. Let me go
- 16:23Speaker 5: in and get my pencil pen because I don't live
- 16:25Speaker 5: that far from the school. And if y'all aren't ready
- 16:27Speaker 5: down there, calls him some conflict. I need to get
- 16:29Speaker 5: up and go down there because I'm not telling my
- 16:31Speaker 5: baby when he come home today, so he ain't going
- 16:33Speaker 5: to the dad gun first, ma'am.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I hate to say it, but I'm gonna have to
- 16:36Speaker 2: refuse education from him on August.
- 16:38Speaker 5: You know what, I just went back and put him
- 16:40Speaker 5: in public school. I know that was a stake in
- 16:42Speaker 5: the first place. Food which I'm talking about some coloring.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Give me your name against her Stapleton, man, And what's
- 16:48Speaker 5: that number down there?
- 16:50Speaker 4: The number here is actually area code.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Wait, man, I got the number. Now, mind, I pulled
- 16:55Speaker 5: up this report card. I got the number your name
- 16:56Speaker 5: on the back of this paper. I tell you what
- 16:58Speaker 5: I was twenty fourth wheel be coming in there, going
- 17:01Speaker 5: to school, and I might make a trip around there
- 17:03Speaker 5: this evening when I come from the document. I'm not
- 17:06Speaker 5: want to hear that calling. Ain't got nothing to do
- 17:09Speaker 5: with nothing else.
- 17:11Speaker 4: It's not only color.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Here's arithmetickets back all right, No, are you working with
- 17:15Speaker 2: him at home?
- 17:16Speaker 5: When you're doing anything at home today? What you're trying
- 17:19Speaker 5: to say, I'm an incompetent parent.
- 17:21Speaker 4: I'm just asking, as a parent, are you working with
- 17:23Speaker 4: your child.
- 17:23Speaker 5: I'm working with my child every day. He can read
- 17:25Speaker 5: better than you.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Probably, No, he can't read, Princess.
- 17:28Speaker 5: I can't read better than you, because honestly, you read
- 17:30Speaker 5: that wrong on that paper that he's supposed to be
- 17:32Speaker 5: going back to kindergarten, when I know the paper saying
- 17:35Speaker 5: from his going to the first grade. And I'm not
- 17:38Speaker 5: listening to no more this about him going backward. Now,
- 17:41Speaker 5: if you got a problem with your paper work, maybe
- 17:44Speaker 5: you need to go talk to your secretary or somebody
- 17:47Speaker 5: in there that wrote my baby.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Name down with your son's name.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Thomas, Ma'm no, it ain't him, baby, I know it
- 17:53Speaker 5: ain't him. You're not gonna sit up and tell me
- 17:55Speaker 5: my son is flocking kindergarten. He is not going back
- 17:57Speaker 5: to that kindergarten.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Don't bring your son down August four.
- 18:02Speaker 5: I tell you what, be ready to put me and
- 18:04Speaker 5: my husband, but we will be down there. Augia four,
- 18:07Speaker 5: that pant shoes, uniform. Everything you hear me, I will
- 18:10Speaker 5: not be able to allow him in education, and that
- 18:13Speaker 5: right now. I will come down there, right now and
- 18:15Speaker 5: make that correction on that paper for you. Is not
- 18:18Speaker 5: going back to no kindergarten for no coloring.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Can you bring him down here and let him color
- 18:23Speaker 4: for me?
- 18:23Speaker 5: You tell about coloring arithmetic on ourself? No, no, I'm sorry.
- 18:28Speaker 5: We will be down there augusta twenty four. I will
- 18:31Speaker 5: have this poor card in my head that says you

- 20:15Speaker 5: I'm Onlia, I am going to beat her. You're about
- 20:21Speaker 5: to get to out the plank. I mean, I'm writing,

- 20:36Speaker 2: radio show in the land.
- 20:38Speaker 5: That's Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Baby, come on here now, all right?
- 20:46Speaker 1: Coming up next? It is as the CELO, our Chief
- 20:50Speaker 1: Love Officer, Steve Harvey in the building and he's waiting.
- 20:54Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is time to
- 20:59Speaker 1: ask the CLO, Chief Love Office of Steve Hart. Yes, yes,
- 21:03Speaker 1: here we are is ready? Are you ready? Irma and
- 21:07Speaker 1: Hammond writes, I'm a sixty year old widow and I'm
- 21:11Speaker 1: dating a guy that's a chef. We bonded over our
- 21:15Speaker 1: love for food, but he thinks he's the best cook
- 21:17Speaker 1: on the planet. I made gumbo for him and instead
- 21:21Speaker 1: of enjoying it, he critiqued it. We got in an
- 21:24Speaker 1: argument and I said, most of his food is bland.
- 21:28Speaker 1: He hasn't called sense. Should I reach out?
- 21:32Speaker 2: Nothing like a good gumbo argument. Well you see, y'all
- 21:36Speaker 2: too old, last people.
- 21:39Speaker 7: Y'all too old last people here arguing about food instead
- 21:42Speaker 7: of trying to find a way to get along, y'all
- 21:44Speaker 7: trying to find a way to see. His need to
- 21:49Speaker 7: be accepted as the chef and your need to be
- 21:53Speaker 7: accepted as a good cook's greater than both y'all's needs
- 21:57Speaker 7: to have a quality relationship. Oh wow, there is a saying,
- 22:02Speaker 7: And I'm not sure if it's a scripture or not.
- 22:06Speaker 7: Ain't no food like an old food pretty show? That
- 22:11Speaker 7: ain't a scripture, ain't no party, but it sound.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Like it should be. So congratulations.
- 22:19Speaker 7: Both of you all have ruined your relationship because you
- 22:23Speaker 7: all won't let the other person win. And that's as
- 22:29Speaker 7: simple as that. And what would it have hurt if
- 22:32Speaker 7: he'd have just hho, damn gumbo? And what would have
- 22:35Speaker 7: hurt if you would have just said you a great chef?
- 22:39Speaker 7: What would it have hurt? But he bought this on
- 22:42Speaker 7: hisself because he started he did dumb ass dude. Sometimes
- 22:47Speaker 7: the damn gumbo.
- 22:49Speaker 4: Ego got in the way.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yep, all right.
- 22:53Speaker 7: I mean, let's look at our very own show as
- 22:55Speaker 7: a great example. Shirley k Ball water but she got

- 23:02Speaker 7: lady teaching, and Paul Nesto then had to eat lord
- 23:09Speaker 7: knows what out of a damn crock pot. He had

- 23:18Speaker 7: he didn't, didn't need Let's pray for nests though.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Moving on, Okay, Marie in Tampa says, my husband and
- 23:28Speaker 1: I met through my best friend, so we're all close

- 23:35Speaker 1: attic and she called my husband. I went too, because
- 23:38Speaker 1: I don't trust women. She jokingly said, uh, don't nobody
- 23:42Speaker 1: want your man? He laughed, but I didn't. Was she

- 23:51Speaker 7: that the best jokes we've ever written has been ninety
- 23:55Speaker 7: percent truth.

- 23:58Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's something to her line that she stated.
- 24:03Speaker 7: Don't nobody want your man? Why you call him all
- 24:06Speaker 7: the time. If you don't want my man, why you
- 24:10Speaker 7: ask him to come over here and move?
- 24:11Speaker 4: No box?
- 24:12Speaker 2: You don't know no other men. They got three men
- 24:16Speaker 2: in a truck. They got all kind of moving companies.

- 24:29Speaker 4: Oh you know what? You ain't tripping? Right?
- 24:33Speaker 1: Yes, she says she does not trust women. Okay, go
- 24:37Speaker 1: with your first man, all right, Marie. And I'm mad
- 24:39Speaker 1: at hope for they're not And all right. TetR im
- 24:43Speaker 1: Portsmouth says, I'm moving to a new city to marry

- 24:53Speaker 1: exes that I'll be off the market. One of them
- 24:56Speaker 1: said goodbye. One of them got some goodbye cookie too.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I want to intermarriage with a clean slate? Should I
- 25:04Speaker 1: change my Facebook page and my cell number?
- 25:07Speaker 7: If you want to hit a marriage with a clean slate,
- 25:10Speaker 7: what you need to do is quit calling people up
- 25:13Speaker 7: because your ass gets talked into things.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Don't get it. You just need to quit calling people up. Hey, y'all,
- 25:21Speaker 4: I'm Finn.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Move up?

- 25:58Speaker 4: How many people you do have to call?
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah, you might want to get baptized too. You might
- 26:05Speaker 2: want to do a little that too. Just yeah, you
- 26:06Speaker 2: need to be washed. Yeah, in the blood of the

- 26:43Speaker 1: ghosted me after we had sex, even after I waited
- 26:46Speaker 1: three months to sleep with him. Is it a way
- 26:49Speaker 1: to vet these guys before I get too deeply involved

- 53:44Speaker 1: we graduated from high school, we were even closer, and
- 53:47Speaker 1: I told her that I wanted her to be more
- 53:49Speaker 1: than my friend. She's always been really close to her
- 53:52Speaker 1: mom and tells her everything, so she told her mom
- 53:55Speaker 1: that she and I were dating. Her mom told her
- 53:58Speaker 1: that I was her cousin. When she told me we
- 54:01Speaker 1: were related, I felt strange because we had kissed a
- 54:05Speaker 1: few times. We never questioned it. Though we stopped dating
- 54:08Speaker 1: and remained very close cousins, we still did everything together
- 54:13Speaker 1: and told each other everything, and by the time we
- 54:15Speaker 1: were in our mid twenties, we had both had a
- 54:18Speaker 1: bunch of bad relationships and always ended up back together.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I realized that I loved my quote unquote cousin and
- 54:26Speaker 1: she's a perfect woman for me. So I finally asked
- 54:29Speaker 1: my mom if we were really related. My mom said,
- 54:32Speaker 1: we're related somewhere down the line, but there is no
- 54:35Speaker 1: way for us to find out now because all of
- 54:37Speaker 1: the older relatives are deceased. I told my mom that
- 54:41Speaker 1: I'm in love with her and I want to be
- 54:43Speaker 1: with her. My mom told me to follow my heart.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I couldn't wait to tell my cousin how I really felt,
- 54:48Speaker 1: and I was relieved when she told me she's been
- 54:50Speaker 1: in love with me forever. Since then, we've made love
- 54:54Speaker 1: a few times, and I asked her to marry me.
- 54:56Speaker 1: She wants to do a search of our family tree.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I don't think we're cousins and this is only postponing
- 55:03Speaker 1: our happiness. Should we search for answers or not? Hmm, Well,
- 55:08Speaker 1: I'm with you. On this one, I don't know. I
- 55:11Speaker 1: just don't believe your guys are cousins. I don't believe.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I think maybe you know, her mom told her that
- 55:16Speaker 1: because she didn't want you guys dating for whatever reason.
- 55:19Speaker 1: And you know, I don't want you guys, not because
- 55:22Speaker 1: I don't want it to be true or anything. I
- 55:25Speaker 1: just don't believe your mom. Both of them are telling
- 55:28Speaker 1: the truth. Even your mom said you were related somewhere
- 55:31Speaker 1: down the line, she didn't even know, and she said
- 55:34Speaker 1: there's no one in your family to validate it. But
- 55:36Speaker 1: I mean, there are ways you can search to find out.
- 55:40Speaker 1: It's just, I don't know, suspicious the way they handled
- 55:43Speaker 1: everything and the way they told you, and for that
- 55:46Speaker 1: very reason, Yes, I think you should find out if
- 55:50Speaker 1: you're related. I think you should do the search. I mean,
- 55:52Speaker 1: knowledgeous power. The truth will set your free. What if
- 55:55Speaker 1: you want to have children down the line, you know
- 55:59Speaker 1: this is something you should know, whether or not you're related.
- 56:02Speaker 1: There's a lot to consider. You need the fact so
- 56:05Speaker 1: you can make an informed, the clear headed, right decision
- 56:08Speaker 1: and nothing just based on your emotions. Like your mom
- 56:11Speaker 1: told you, just to follow your heart. It sounds like
- 56:14Speaker 1: you don't care though, if your cousins are not, and
- 56:17Speaker 1: your mom certainly doesn't care, but your girl wants to
- 56:21Speaker 1: know and it's important to her. So I think you
- 56:24Speaker 1: should do the search, and you know, whatever you guys
- 56:27Speaker 1: find out, let the ships fall, you know where they may.
- 56:31Speaker 1: I don't think you're really cousins. I don't know then,
- 56:34Speaker 1: and if you find out that you're not, then you
- 56:36Speaker 1: can move forward.
- 56:37Speaker 7: Steve, Well, this is a short response for me, because
- 56:41Speaker 7: I don't even understand. There's no advice to give in
- 56:44Speaker 7: this letter, like you don't know, imal, I have sections
- 56:48Speaker 7: why I break down what somebody said and what the
- 56:50Speaker 7: other person said.
- 56:52Speaker 4: Is none of that in here.
- 56:53Speaker 1: And he just wants to know should they search? That's
- 56:55Speaker 1: his question.
- 56:56Speaker 4: Anyway, It ain't about that to me.
- 57:01Speaker 7: If your mother, if the woman that she's really close to,
- 57:06Speaker 7: and y'all been over each other's house, if that ain't
- 57:09Speaker 7: your mother's sister, and that woman that's not the sister
- 57:16Speaker 7: this girl that you're dating, and okay, let me put it.
- 57:20Speaker 7: The woman and your mama are not sisters, and then
- 57:25Speaker 7: her daughter is the woman.
- 57:27Speaker 1: You love.
- 57:29Speaker 7: That ain't your cousin. So now that's established right there.
- 57:35Speaker 7: Now this y'all cousin somewhere down the line. Black people
- 57:41Speaker 7: know what's happening. How far you get, lamb if all
- 57:44Speaker 7: of them is dead, Black people know what's happening.
- 57:49Speaker 4: Now.
- 57:50Speaker 7: What didn't happen is one of the men in the
- 57:53Speaker 7: family and strayed off somewhere, had a child out of war,
- 58:01Speaker 7: and one of your aunts or mama's is them now?
- 58:05Speaker 7: Everybody dead?
- 58:06Speaker 4: Stuff. Y'all got bibles, Open up them with old bibles
- 58:10Speaker 4: and read who who? You ain't gonna see your name
- 58:13Speaker 4: in there.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Now once you don't see your name, Just open and
- 58:18Speaker 2: shut case they know all the old people dead.
- 58:23Speaker 4: Well, hot man, So what are we talking about here?
- 58:26Speaker 4: So I don't really think it's a case.
- 58:27Speaker 7: Of if you do the search, what you're gonna find,
- 58:33Speaker 7: You're not gonna find anything, and you'll already you were
- 58:36Speaker 7: in love with the girl.
- 58:38Speaker 4: She in love with the girl, I mean, she in
- 58:41Speaker 4: love with you. I mean, what.
- 58:44Speaker 1: If they want kids. They're too far down the line
- 58:46Speaker 1: for that to affect anything you're saying.
- 58:50Speaker 4: I think they're way way down the line. Let me
- 58:55Speaker 4: tell you something.
- 58:56Speaker 7: It was something dangerous. The boy's mother would not have
- 58:59Speaker 7: said follow your heart.
- 59:02Speaker 1: But the other mother was the one that said their cousins.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I think she said it because she didn't want them
- 59:06Speaker 1: to date.
- 59:07Speaker 7: She just said that, well, okay, tell her mama ask
- 59:10Speaker 7: or ask her mama how uh huh.
- 59:14Speaker 4: But she didn't even.
- 59:15Speaker 7: Tell how these She can't even tell how these other
- 59:20Speaker 7: two is related, the two women.
- 59:22Speaker 4: What's their relationship?
- 59:24Speaker 9: They're just they're just really close, you know, only cousins. Yeah,
- 59:30Speaker 9: but they did it, they do know they did it, right, Yeah,
- 59:38Speaker 9: it's in the letter.
- 59:38Speaker 4: They said it in the letter.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Yes, in the letter. We'll have part two of Steve
- 59:44Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after be our subject
- 59:47Speaker 1: I don't think we're really cousins. We'll get back into
- 59:49Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening hard Morning show. All right,
- 59:55Speaker 1: come on, Steve, let's recap today's interesting Strawberry Letters. Subject
- 59:59Speaker 1: I don't think we're really cousins.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: This guy was in high school. He liked the girl
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: and they she liked him. They talked on the phone,
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: hung out together all the time. Yeah, her mom and
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: my mom were close too, so she was always at
- 1:00:15Speaker 7: my house. Never once in this letter does it say
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: her mom and his mom was related.
- 1:00:24Speaker 10: M M.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: By the time they graduated high school, we were even closer.
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: I told her we want to be more than friends.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: She's always been really close to her mom and tells everything.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: So she told her mom.
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: She and I were dating. Her mom told her I
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: was her cousin, but your mama ain't related this to
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: the boys, Mama, they're just so now where that comes from? Well,
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: she told me we were related. I felt strange cause
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: I had kissed a few times. We never questioned it though.
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: We still updating and remained close everything together. Then they
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: went through a bunch of bad relationships and always ended
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: up back together. And then he said, I realized I
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: loved my cousin and she's a perfect woman for me.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: So this dude go and ask his mom if they
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: really related. The mother said, y'all related somewhere down the line,
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: but ain't no way to find out because all the
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: older relatives are dead.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: I did, well, okay, when's we talking about this folk?
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: I told my mom that I'm in love with her
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: and I want to be with her. My mom told
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: me follow my heart. So then he ran and told
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: the girl who is he thinks his cousin how I
- 1:01:45Speaker 7: really felt, and he was relieved when she told me
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: she been in love with me forever.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: Well then since then they'd have made.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: Love a few times, and I asked her to marry me. Yeah,
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: she wants to do a search of our family tree
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: first because she.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: Don't want to come up and get in bad.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: Then half these people you think it's dead, gonna show
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: up at the wedding. Well, it ain't just strange, you know,
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: I'm Gertrude's least Overtholom. Inside the all.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: Have old slaves names and everything.
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: Frederick, you know, Frederick was your uncle, great great great
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: great uncle, Frederick Frederick Douglas.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Boy, you got to afro just like him, you know,
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: be a guy. So she wants to do a search
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: and to think.
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: And he said, I don't think we cousins, and this
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: is only postponing our happiness. Should we search for answers
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: or not? Okay, let me explain something to you, son.
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: When you get through searching, it ain't gonna change one
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: thing you feel about this girl. Come on, boy, when
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: you get through searching, it ain't gonna erase the fact
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: and y'all in love with each other, and y'all been together.
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: It ain't gonna erase nothing, no matter what the search say.
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: And if you find out you somewhere way down the line.
- 1:03:12Speaker 7: How far down the line is it? Now?
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: How many people got to die? Steve?
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: Well, all your evidence is dead down the line is dead.
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: But your mother and her mother ain't even related. So
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: what are y'all talking about?
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: See? I think her mother didn't want them to date,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: because immediately when she told him that, they stopped dating.
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: If there's no relation between the two friends, well that
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: could be happening because maybe they just friends and the
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: two kids.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: And other families.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, yeah, that's a possibility.
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: That's why I don't think their cousins I don't think
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: will hurt anything to do the search because we.
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: See the problem with that is we're talking about two mothers. Though. See,
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: once you have mothers involved, it ain't no, you ain't
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: in the family.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: M hmm, what you mean?
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: This woman.
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: Is the mother of the boy all your heart is
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: the mother of the girl. So how are these two
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: kids related? How am I missing something?
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: It could be through? Could it be through mar I
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: Two women were married to the same brothers or some friends.
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: That could happen.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: But now, yeah, I don't think that I just don't
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: think they're related.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: What's that test you take? Din We had that test
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: one time. What is the name? I think ancestry doctor.
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: That's it right there.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I just did one. I just did a test.
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: I just did it. I had people do mine for me.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: So that's what I'm saying. You don't have to have
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: living relatives, you know. So his mom said, everybody's dead
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: to prove whether or not there I can.
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: Find stuff on my mother's side, but it goes back
- 1:05:15Speaker 7: to my father and it stops.
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: Oh so if down the line ain't here.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: You can still find out what's going on. He love
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: it though, Yeah, yeah, she loves him. She wants she's
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: the one that wants to know. I mean, you do
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: have to consider that you have small children and everything.
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Are you out, Steve? You're done well.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: I told you I'm doing it.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Cause you got awfully quiet right there.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: It was hard to raise anyway, don't have it?
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Ain't that the truth?
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: You said? Well, yeah, you're gonna have a situation with
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: him if ain't nothing wrong with him?
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Yes, all right, listen, guys. You can leave your comments

- 1:06:26Speaker 1: you'll remember this, a woman wrote in said her four
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: year old son sleeps in the bed with her and
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: now that she's engaged, her fiance said it's time for
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: the boy to sleep in his own bed. Well, you
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: agreed with the fiance. You know, we had a problem
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: with that. We wanted the baby to stay in the
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: bed with the mommy. But this caller left a message
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: and disagree with you.
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: Listen, Okay, these guys aren't taking live callups because you
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: can't take the heat.
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: But Steve, you have never raised a four year old.
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: He's never been around any of your children.
- 1:06:58Speaker 14: At the age of four, were your vice children at
- 1:07:01Speaker 14: the age of four, So you have no idea how
- 1:07:04Speaker 14: bonded the child is at four years old.
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: Okay, Now, first of all, you a damn lie because
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: Brandon Carley, I watched them being born.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: You don't know nothing about me, and don't worry about.

- 1:07:32Speaker 7: I've been around bribery. I've been round between you. The
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: one ain't been round me. Oh, call here no more
- 1:07:39Speaker 7: with your little mucky ass statement. You don't know how
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: kids are. I know plenty about kids. I ain't never
- 1:07:45Speaker 7: had a child. But your ass gonna get in your
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: bed and foe and sleep while your damn self. That's
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: what you gonna do. And you're not gonna call here
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: no more, which show damn wrong ass information.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: I wish you would call here. Lie, You ain't gonna
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: been around your own kids. You don't know me. You
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: an internet person? All right? Now, we ain't moving on.
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: We're staying right here. What was her name.
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: Name?
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: Oh coward too? Oh a coward?
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: Now you're gonna call it, tell me what I ate,
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: But you ain't gonna leave your name. Oh maybe ragged
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: ass calls me no more.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: And this is why we.
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: Don't take the cause. Lie this why right here? Ain't
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: nobody scared? This is why we don't take live calls.
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: They don't know this on the hal All right.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Now we're moving on to a voice call from a
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: calling who appreciates us.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: Steve.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: How about that change, Steve.
- 1:08:49Speaker 10: I just want to say, God bless you and your
- 1:08:52Speaker 10: whole entire morning. So cruise, y'all are such a blessing.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: I appreciate the advice.
- 1:08:58Speaker 10: I appreciate the straightforward and this has been an inspiration
- 1:09:01Speaker 10: and it keeps me going. It gives me my chuckle
- 1:09:04Speaker 10: for the morning, and I love it. My kids love it,
- 1:09:07Speaker 10: even though some of it's not children I appropriate, but
- 1:09:11Speaker 10: we do appreciate you. North Carolina represents all day, every
- 1:09:14Speaker 10: day and fort Uncle Steve and the cruise.
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you very much for that. Oh wow, you
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: know you don't have levels show. You have to have
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: levels and I just wanted to say thank you so much, sister.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: All right, thank you Steve. You're listening morning show. All right,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: So this summer heat wave really hot. We've been sweating.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: We know how hot it is. And you know, think
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: about kids today. They don't really know how to play
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: the games that we used to play back in the
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: day during summer. Uh So, guys, I want to ask
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: you this question. Can you, guys reminisce and tell us
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: about some of the games you played outside. I know
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: you have some story, Steve, give us some suggestion about
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: what the kids can do to stay cool this summer.
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: Get your daddy's uh pipe wrench. Go down there, take
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: that Take that nozzle off that fire hydrant. Get all
- 1:10:12Speaker 7: the damn water you want.
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: A turn that sprinkl on in the front yard and
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: just run your air back and forth to it.
- 1:10:24Speaker 7: Ah, let your mama take that nozzle off that fire
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: hose and put her thumb on it and spray your ass.
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: I act like y'all don't remember that, man, Please, I'm
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: gonna tell you something I did one time. Man, we
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: played Hide and go Seek. One time I hid under
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: Ms Payne's porch. I damn it, fainted under there was

- 1:14:15Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show coming up in about twenty minutes after
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: the hour right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: So listen to this story, guys. A meat manufacturing company
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: experienced a glitch in its payroll recently and accidentally paid
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: a worker three hundred times his salary, and now they
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: can't seem to find the guy. The worker expected his
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: usual monthly check of five hundred and forty five dollars,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: but instead received a check for more than one hundred
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: and eighty thousand dollars. Now, when he noticed, yeah, when
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: he noticed the mistake, he alerted his manager, who told
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: him to go to his bank and repay the money.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: But he never did and the company can't find him.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: They tried to reach him for several days and eventually
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: received a letter from his attorney informing them of his resignation.
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: Yeah, you roll babies.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: He hasn't been heard from since. The company has filed
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: a complaint with the police, but no arrest has been made.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: So the question to you, guys is, what would you
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: do in this situation if you got paid three hundred
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: times your salary.
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: Oh I'm out, y'all. I'm telling you, I will die
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: in front of you right there. You would think I'm
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: gone flat out, roll me out the dough. Pardon I'm gone, Junior.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: I call in him.
- 1:15:39Speaker 12: I will call see how y'all doing.

- 1:16:24Speaker 1: A lot of people not my lift man, thigh, my
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: thigh and nip is the same sign. I put a
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: tattoo on this thing right here. I can't even hold
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: my damn out. It gonna look like a billboard?
- 1:16:48Speaker 6: All right?
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Would you rather walk barefoot in a public restroom? On
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the floor at the airport?
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: They sleep on that floor at airport. I've done that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: I've done that too. Yeah all right, that bathroom floating something.
- 1:17:12Speaker 7: When I was homeless, I spent night in the airport,
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: three nights. Yeah, and man, yeah, I spent the night.
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: They had bathroom in there and everything.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: And then I you know, I still flight.
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: You just went in there. Hell, you know it before
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: nine eleven. You could just watch it on in there.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: Man. I went on.
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: I stayed at the gate, kept like I was bored,
- 1:17:32Speaker 7: and turned around the man wanted to go somewhere, act
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: like I was interested, slept at the and then and
- 1:17:44Speaker 7: then hell yeah. And then I met this girl that
- 1:17:46Speaker 7: worked at uh didn't press that pretzel place, Auntie uh Presbels.
- 1:17:51Speaker 11: She liked me.
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: She gave me preszels all day long doing her shift.
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: I kept them at night. I ate pressel for three days.
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: No meat. Some water, had water found in the hallway.
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: I had water bathroom. I was comfortable, dog.
- 1:18:09Speaker 7: I was in there, people watching and stuff. Then I
- 1:18:11Speaker 7: set across from a Fridays and they had a TV
- 1:18:14Speaker 7: on it and I watched TV.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: You had everything you need, oh dog, I was comfortable.
- 1:18:20Speaker 8: Wow.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: See all right, would you rather be the captain of
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: the football team or the valedictorian of your school, of
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: the whole school.
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: No, hey, yeah, I ain't finn to be that.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: What is again, valedictorian? You know, the smartest person with
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: the grades and given.
- 1:18:43Speaker 4: To be that. I'm gonna be this captain.
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: Ga, yeah, at least I know how to give a
- 1:18:49Speaker 7: speech in the locker rooms missing it. You ain't even
- 1:18:52Speaker 7: understand that. And I'm sure we a is glad y'all
- 1:18:55Speaker 7: had me up here to do. I know you sound like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: I'm gonna be this captain of the football team. I
- 1:19:06Speaker 7: ain't gonna make that valid valifetorian.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with our last break of
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: the day and some closing remarks coming up at forty
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour right after this you're listening
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: morning show. All right, here we are, Steve, We've come
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: to the end of our show. Wow, a lot of
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: stuff happened on this show today. So here we go
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: with just one more thing and your closing remarks.
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: Well, you know, I wanted to talk to you all
- 1:19:36Speaker 7: in my closing remarks today about something that I've had
- 1:19:40Speaker 7: to learn to rely on more of late. I wish
- 1:19:45Speaker 7: I had learned this a lot earlier in my life.
- 1:19:48Speaker 7: It would have helped me such a great deal. I've
- 1:19:54Speaker 7: had to learn to trust in God's timing and I've
- 1:20:00Speaker 7: had to learn to trust in God's will. Now these
- 1:20:06Speaker 7: are tough lessons to learn. I know why I didn't
- 1:20:11Speaker 7: learn these lessons earlier because I thought that it was
- 1:20:17Speaker 7: in my best interest to work as hard as I
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: could make choices and decisions and go about the process
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: of trying to make those choices and decisions work.
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: And I did that, and a lot of people do that.
- 1:20:35Speaker 7: And you know, we set our goals and where our
- 1:20:36Speaker 7: dreams up on our vision boards, and we get locked
- 1:20:40Speaker 7: in on that, and that's what we started shooting for.
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: What I've learned as I've gotten older, it's Steve Harvey.
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: It's absolutely fine to have aspirations, dreams, and visions and goals,
- 1:20:55Speaker 7: but in your request of requiring or attaining all of
- 1:21:01Speaker 7: these things, you should also add in the request that
- 1:21:06Speaker 7: God let your will be done and give me the
- 1:21:10Speaker 7: strength and wisdom to trust in your timing.
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: But I didn't do that.
- 1:21:16Speaker 7: I thought that it was in my best interest to
- 1:21:20Speaker 7: set my goals and aspirations and then just start working
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: towards them as hard as I could. Some of those
- 1:21:27Speaker 7: things happened because some of those things were in His will.
- 1:21:31Speaker 7: But when a lot of things didn't happen for me,
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: I didn't understand that it just wasn't God's will for me.
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: And so what I've had to learn as I've gotten.
- 1:21:43Speaker 7: Older is when I set up my vision board, when
- 1:21:46Speaker 7: I set up my dream board like I have on
- 1:21:48Speaker 7: my phone today, and I have in my notes section
- 1:21:51Speaker 7: of everything I want I'm asking of God on page
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: one it says trust in his timing and trust in
- 1:22:01Speaker 7: his will. Because the old I've gotten, I've discovered something
- 1:22:07Speaker 7: that everything that I wanted and then I wanted it
- 1:22:10Speaker 7: to work out as say, a certain way, what God
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: has given me didn't work out that way, and what
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: He gave me was far greater than what I asked.
- 1:22:24Speaker 7: I can tell you it has worked that way every
- 1:22:28Speaker 7: single time.
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: Why I did not.
- 1:22:31Speaker 7: Learn this when I was younger, Man, it befuddles me.
- 1:22:34Speaker 7: But that's what age is though, that's what experience he is.
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: They say experiences is priceless. It's a shame. You have
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: to pay for it with your youth. And it cost
- 1:22:46Speaker 7: me my youth to learn that God's will and God's
- 1:22:51Speaker 7: timing is far superior than mine.
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: So now, Steve, how do you fix that? How do
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: you fix that?
- 1:23:00Speaker 7: Well, it's a couple of things I had to get
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: in line with. First of all, the will of God,
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: our Father, who art in heaven. How will be thy name,
- 1:23:11Speaker 7: thy Kingdom come? Thy will be done on earth as
- 1:23:15Speaker 7: it is in heaven. That's important when you pray to
- 1:23:21Speaker 7: ask God that his will be done in your life.
- 1:23:25Speaker 7: I mean, who would know better how to direct your
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: life than the person who.
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: Gave you life, your creator.
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: So that was the first thing I had to start
- 1:23:33Speaker 7: implementing in my prayer, to let your will be done
- 1:23:38Speaker 7: on earth as it is in heaven. And then the
- 1:23:42Speaker 7: Lord's prayer gets real specific. Give us this day our
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: daily bread.
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: You know what that is?
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: You're just asking for. You need enough to get through today.
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: See, tomorrow ain't promised and you have no control over tomorrow.
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: Do you know that today is enough?
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: Do you know that if you take care of yourself today,
- 1:24:02Speaker 7: today got plenty for you to do. Today is a
- 1:24:06Speaker 7: monster man, Today is a truckload. This is all we
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: were built for. We were built for today.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Now, once again, does not to mean you don't have aspirations,
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: goals and hopes for tomorrow.
- 1:24:18Speaker 7: That's not what it says. The Bible says a man
- 1:24:21Speaker 7: without a dream or visions you'll perish. That ain't what
- 1:24:23Speaker 7: he's saying. But you got to get your focus on today.
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: Give us this day our daily bread because that's enough.
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: Tomorrow will take care of itself. And like that quote
- 1:24:35Speaker 7: I was reading to you all the other day that
- 1:24:37Speaker 7: I got, and I'm gonna grab it right quick, but
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: it really really helped me man, in my focus point
- 1:24:43Speaker 7: of learning how to be you know, because it's just
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: important that I learned this lesson right here. Fear does
- 1:24:50Speaker 7: not stop death, it stops life. And worrying does not
- 1:24:55Speaker 7: take away tomorrow's troubles. It takes away today's peace. Come on, man,
- 1:25:02Speaker 7: if you focus on today, you'll have a much more
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: peaceful life.
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: Worrying about tomorrow it does nothing for you.
- 1:25:11Speaker 7: That's God's will, That's God's timing. Tomorrow, yours is today.
- 1:25:15Speaker 7: Focus on today, man, trust in God's timing, trusting God's
- 1:25:19Speaker 7: will because it's better than the plan you got. I
- 1:25:22Speaker 7: thank God that I started become more trusting in his
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: timing and his will and stop tripping all the time
- 1:25:28Speaker 7: on what Steve Harvey want?
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: What do God want for you? Man?
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: Have you ever asked that that's way better than what
- 1:25:34Speaker 7: you could ever imagine? Those are my closing remarks. Don't
- 1:25:37Speaker 7: forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and don't
- 1:25:41Speaker 7: ever be too proud to pray, because prayer, prayer changes things. Pray, Chase,
- 1:25:49Speaker 7: y'all have.
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: A good day.
- 1:25:58Speaker 8: For all.
