- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now one it only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Okay, okay, here's one
- 2:17Speaker 1: for you today. This is one that's deep inside of me.
- 2:21Speaker 1: So this one right here, I know this one very
- 2:26Speaker 1: very well. I want to talk to you today about success.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But I want to talk to you about it like
- 2:37Speaker 1: I usually do in terms of a principle of it,
- 2:41Speaker 1: but I want to share something with you about it.
- 2:45Speaker 1: And I was talking to my daughter about it. I've
- 2:48Speaker 1: talked about my son in law about it, talked about
- 2:50Speaker 1: it with all my children, and I'm really starting to
- 2:53Speaker 1: express it to them now, because I mean mine range
- 2:56Speaker 1: from age thirty one down to sixteen, so I'm talking
- 3:00Speaker 1: to a wide range of people constantly. But I want
- 3:04Speaker 1: to share something with you, and this is very, very real,
- 3:08Speaker 1: and there is no way around this. If you have
- 3:11Speaker 1: any aspiration of being successful, if you have any inkling
- 3:16Speaker 1: that you want to change for the better and become
- 3:20Speaker 1: successful in that change, I want you to realize, starting
- 3:25Speaker 1: right now, the effort that is going to require. And
- 3:29Speaker 1: that's why I think it stops a lot of people.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I think a lot of people are never told or
- 3:35Speaker 1: don't understand the sheer effort that's that it takes to
- 3:40Speaker 1: become successful at anything in any area of your life.
- 3:44Speaker 1: You know, I think people think that if they do
- 3:46Speaker 1: their best they can that that will cut it. Well,
- 3:51Speaker 1: that's not enough. Here, here is the lightbulb. That's not enough.
- 3:59Speaker 1: If you think that doing your best is enough, that
- 4:03Speaker 1: I got news for you. It's not. Well, Steve, what
- 4:07Speaker 1: if you've done your best, though, and your best ain't
- 4:11Speaker 1: good enough? Well, let me ask you that same question.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Hold on. If you want to be successful and you've
- 4:18Speaker 1: done your best and best isn't good enough? What you
- 4:21Speaker 1: threw that's it? But Stephen was my best. No no, no,
- 4:25Speaker 1: no no. It was the best you had at that time,
- 4:28Speaker 1: in that particular day. But tomorrow add something to it.
- 4:35Speaker 1: You've you've never done everything. There is no you can't
- 4:39Speaker 1: go no more, you can't add no more. I've seen
- 4:42Speaker 1: marathon runners end up crawling across the line. I've seen
- 4:46Speaker 1: triathlon people man just staggering in the street and didn't
- 4:50Speaker 1: want nobody to help him because they knew that would
- 4:53Speaker 1: disqualify him from the race. You got more? Have you
- 4:59Speaker 1: ever did into your reserve tank? That's what we're talking
- 5:03Speaker 1: about now. See, all of us have a reserve tank,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you know. I you know, on my ranch, I like
- 5:10Speaker 1: to ride four wheelers. I have all terrain vehicles and
- 5:13Speaker 1: all of them have a gas tank on it and
- 5:16Speaker 1: a gas tank and most of mine, let me see
- 5:18Speaker 1: all of them. All of them have gas tank needles
- 5:21Speaker 1: on them, and it lets me know. When I get
- 5:24Speaker 1: down towards eat, there's a little lane that's read that
- 5:28Speaker 1: lets me know. Okay, Steve, you're in the danger zone.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Now you're riding into the lowest part of your tank.
- 5:34Speaker 1: But if I keep riding and I forget to get
- 5:37Speaker 1: some gas in there, guess what when it runs out
- 5:40Speaker 1: of gas. All of my all terrain vehicles, all of them,
- 5:45Speaker 1: Honda Polaris, all of them. Those are the makers. There's
- 5:50Speaker 1: a button on the gas tank itself that I can
- 5:53Speaker 1: click and it says reserve. That means they know that
- 5:59Speaker 1: for the hardcore riders, they're gonna ride somewhere, they're gonna
- 6:03Speaker 1: get themselves in a situation and they're gonna run out
- 6:06Speaker 1: of everything. They're gonna run out of road, they're gonna
- 6:09Speaker 1: run out of gas. They've prepared because they know for
- 6:13Speaker 1: the hardcore rider, every hardcore rider needs a reserve tank.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And so there's a button that you can click on
- 6:20Speaker 1: the gas tank that clicks it into a reserve and
- 6:24Speaker 1: it will give you about fifty miles or twenty miles
- 6:27Speaker 1: worth of gas in that Now, guess what in that
- 6:31Speaker 1: reserve that maybe all you need to get you the
- 6:35Speaker 1: where you're going, or get you back to safety so
- 6:38Speaker 1: you can refuel. Don't tell me you've done your best.
- 6:42Speaker 1: When your best don't cut it. What you're gonna do.
- 6:46Speaker 1: See when best is possible, then good enough ain't enough.
- 6:53Speaker 1: See you you you can flip that any kind of
- 6:55Speaker 1: way you where you want to. But if but if
- 6:57Speaker 1: the best is possible, then good enough. And it ain't enough. Man,
- 7:02Speaker 1: See that's good enough. But if the best is possible,
- 7:05Speaker 1: why would you not shoot for that? And you you
- 7:07Speaker 1: are all capable of making it. You are all capable
- 7:12Speaker 1: of being successful if you change your mind set. But
- 7:17Speaker 1: you've got to change your mind set and realize the
- 7:20Speaker 1: effort that has to be put forth in becoming successful.
- 7:25Speaker 1: You've got to do it relentlessly, over and over and
- 7:28Speaker 1: over and over and every day. I try to do
- 7:31Speaker 1: something to progress my life for the better. I try
- 7:35Speaker 1: to do something every day. I wake up every day
- 7:38Speaker 1: with the plan. Some phone calls, some meetings, some some
- 7:41Speaker 1: some some interviews, something. Man, that's going to advance and
- 7:46Speaker 1: move the brand forward. Because here's what's gonna happen. You
- 7:49Speaker 1: are Let's say you reach your goal. Let's say your
- 7:52Speaker 1: goal is to make me um a hundred thousand dollars. Well,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I got news for you. Listen to this. When you
- 8:00Speaker 1: the one hundred thousand dollars, you can't go on noway
- 8:03Speaker 1: and go on vacation and put your hand behind your
- 8:05Speaker 1: head and say I made a hundred thousand dollars. Guess
- 8:08Speaker 1: what you got to do? You got to find a
- 8:11Speaker 1: way now to maintain that a hundred thousand, to keep
- 8:14Speaker 1: it coming in. So you can't just get there and
- 8:18Speaker 1: stop and rest and whoa, it is harder to maintain
- 8:21Speaker 1: your success that it is to get successful. See let's say,
- 8:27Speaker 1: let me let me show you that supposed it takes
- 8:28Speaker 1: you five to eight years to find a way to
- 8:35Speaker 1: make fifty thousand dollars. Let's say it takes you five
- 8:38Speaker 1: to eight years to find a way to make an
- 8:40Speaker 1: extra fifty dollars, and you finally, through work and effort,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you get to the fifty thou dollar mare. That's that's
- 8:50Speaker 1: that's it's only just begun now, because guess what, in
- 8:53Speaker 1: order to keep the fifty coming in, you got to
- 8:57Speaker 1: duplicate what you did to get there. And then, oh,
- 9:02Speaker 1: here's what you're going to have the audacity being a
- 9:04Speaker 1: human being. You're gonna want another fifty because you're a
- 9:08Speaker 1: human being, because you gotta have something else to shoot for.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Now you're gonna want another fifty. Well, now, I guess
- 9:15Speaker 1: what you gotta do. Now, Now you gotta do what
- 9:17Speaker 1: you did before, plus you gotta come up with something else.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Then after that you're gonna have the audacity, because you're humans,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you're gonna want another fifty says how this works, and
- 9:30Speaker 1: see that that's the that that that's the importance of
- 9:33Speaker 1: your relationship with God because you're gonna constantly need it,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and another point where you're gonna be through needing it.
- 9:40Speaker 1: But there ain't gonna become a point in your life
- 9:41Speaker 1: where you're gonna through, won't be through, won't nothing unless
- 9:44Speaker 1: you just gave up. And if you don't gave up,
- 9:46Speaker 1: who wants that? Come on, y'all, this is going to
- 9:50Speaker 1: take quite a bit of effort, and if you think
- 9:54Speaker 1: it will come to you any other way, you're sadly mistaken.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Because of all the successful people I know, I know
- 10:01Speaker 1: that the effort they put out on a daily basis
- 10:03Speaker 1: is daunting, and I think that the average person just
- 10:06Speaker 1: doesn't understand the requirement of time and effort that it
- 10:10Speaker 1: takes to get that and willingness to put it out.
- 10:14Speaker 1: You gotta cut a lot of monkey business out your life,
- 10:17Speaker 1: all that hanging out, all that late and all that
- 10:20Speaker 1: club and all that drinking, all that. You gotta cut
- 10:23Speaker 1: a whole lot of monkey business out to be successful. Man,
- 10:28Speaker 1: if you're planning on being successful, get up early, stay
- 10:32Speaker 1: up late, work, try, think, meet, great, smile, attract. It
- 10:38Speaker 1: takes a lot, let's go, but you can do it.
- 10:41Speaker 1: God has pressed to plassing our blessings all day long.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Why are you not in line for yours? I'm telling
- 10:47Speaker 1: you right now, I want everything God got for me,
- 10:50Speaker 1: because what he's shown me so far cool if he
- 10:53Speaker 1: got some ore Man on man? How good is God hunts?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. My name is Steve Harvey. This is

- 12:04Speaker 1: Though we've worked together. Everybody knows everybody, but we're worked
- 12:08Speaker 1: together for so long. Yeah, we don't have a button.
- 12:14Speaker 1: We found it yet. Oh you have a button. Yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 1: he's marriage. Yes, it's what. Oh his button is called
- 12:28Speaker 1: marm marriage. Right, you bring it up? He started, Oh
- 12:34Speaker 1: the last time I brought it up, he snapped at me, remember,
- 12:38Speaker 1: went in, Oh, and I know another button, but I'll
- 12:45Speaker 1: only use it if you piss me off. Well, because
- 12:49Speaker 1: you know you've known him the longest. Yeah, you got some.
- 12:53Speaker 1: He got another, but he's being read. It's the one
- 12:58Speaker 1: same size. We'll see no truth. It's nuclear man, when
- 13:09Speaker 1: you're just talking about you know what it is then? Yeah. Yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 1: we've been together a long time. Being my boy right there.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Boy was the best thing. Putting him on this show.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Man kind of gave me like a balance punch, you know.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You know when you see how I talked to me
- 13:23Speaker 1: when I come into work like that. Yeah, no, but
- 13:28Speaker 1: you all have history. Man. Oh he talked to me
- 13:31Speaker 1: so crazy when I come to world. If we didn't know,
- 13:35Speaker 1: we would, yeah, we would think you hated each other.
- 13:37Speaker 1: The way you talk to each other. That's just us.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I don't do it on the other job. But that's
- 13:43Speaker 1: love though, that that's that's junior. He lied right now?
- 13:50Speaker 1: What did he say when he doesn't do it anywhere else.
- 13:53Speaker 1: He comes in there on the day, he come in
- 13:56Speaker 1: there and give us a gift. Wow, it's mont you're
- 14:06Speaker 1: listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, it is time
- 14:10Speaker 1: for something funny. Steven. I'm just gonna let you take
- 14:12Speaker 1: it away right here. You and Jay with your reenactment.
- 14:15Speaker 1: This is for all me and listening today. We're going
- 14:21Speaker 1: to give you how it works when you're trying to
- 14:27Speaker 1: end the conversation with your wife or girlfriend and you're
- 14:34Speaker 1: trying to find a way to end it or not
- 14:36Speaker 1: have it at all, or not have this conversation. You're
- 14:39Speaker 1: gonna have it, but somehow it just goes on it.
- 14:45Speaker 1: You don't want to talk. Basically, you don't want to
- 14:48Speaker 1: talk at work day quiet. You just want to come
- 14:53Speaker 1: in and not talk to nobody. You don't understand that, man,
- 14:58Speaker 1: how come you don't want to talk? What I'm saying?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Here's had go? What's wrong with? Here's how it go?
- 15:05Speaker 1: You just walked in the house. Hey baby, how are
- 15:09Speaker 1: you doing? I'm doing good. How was your day to day?
- 15:13Speaker 1: I'm tired, I'm beat up, man. It was a rough
- 15:15Speaker 1: out there to day going to it and nothing. It
- 15:21Speaker 1: was just a long day. Baby, you know I get
- 15:23Speaker 1: sometimes I just gonna sit down and chill, get my
- 15:26Speaker 1: thoughts a minute to myself. What happened? It was just
- 15:31Speaker 1: a long day, you know, just long, long like long
- 15:34Speaker 1: like what I mean, long like how like? But I've
- 15:36Speaker 1: been down there all day. No, I just been there
- 15:38Speaker 1: all day. If it been that all day working, I
- 15:41Speaker 1: got two jobs and just got home. You're just a
- 15:43Speaker 1: long day. I'm just tired, that's all. What happened the
- 15:46Speaker 1: first job? Just tell me that. Ain't nothing in particularly happened,
- 15:52Speaker 1: you know, it just was so you were that all
- 15:54Speaker 1: day and you're telling me nothing happened. No, I no,
- 16:00Speaker 1: not nothing meaningful. So something did happen? No, baby, listen,
- 16:06Speaker 1: listen what I'm saying is it just it was just
- 16:11Speaker 1: a long day, was just you know, you know, just
- 16:14Speaker 1: the day to day got in the way, and it's
- 16:15Speaker 1: just tired. So something happened that you don't want to
- 16:18Speaker 1: tell me about. Ain't nothing happening that I ain't wanna
- 16:20Speaker 1: tell you about. I'm just trying to tell you ain't
- 16:22Speaker 1: nothing really happened, but just what I'm just I'm tired. Well,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know you sound like you're yelling. I mean, you
- 16:30Speaker 1: listen to him. Right, Look, I ain't I ain't trying to. Look,
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm not yelling if I did forget, I just want
- 16:39Speaker 1: what happened to the second. Hey, look I'm tired, I
- 16:45Speaker 1: didn't have a good day. I'm just gonna go on
- 16:47Speaker 1: in here. I'm watching a little TV and he So
- 16:51Speaker 1: you don't want to talk. That basically what you're saying,
- 16:53Speaker 1: you don't want to talking. You all day and you
- 16:57Speaker 1: come home and now I want to talk. You want
- 16:59Speaker 1: to talk to me? Is that? Is that basically what
- 17:01Speaker 1: you're saying. You don't You've been talking to all other
- 17:03Speaker 1: people all day when I bounds at work though I'm
- 17:06Speaker 1: on at work, Well, I just want to check by,
- 17:11Speaker 1: just want to chill work at the house. There's no talk. No,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I just want to cheer, not just want to cheer
- 17:17Speaker 1: for a little while. Don't you have a talk show?
- 17:19Speaker 1: You have two shows that you just talk if you
- 17:22Speaker 1: come home, it's just no talking. That's well. I got
- 17:25Speaker 1: a radio show to do, radio show, dinner do to
- 17:27Speaker 1: talk show, and I got a brief in and I
- 17:29Speaker 1: do meeting. You're talking to meeting, y'all talking to meeting.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You're talking the show. Yeah, you're talking to radio show. Yeah,
- 17:36Speaker 1: but you can't talk home. But I'm tired of talking loud. Okay,
- 17:40Speaker 1: now you're getting loud, you get loud now, yeah, well
- 17:42Speaker 1: you ain't listening. I'm listening. I'm trying to talk. Now
- 17:45Speaker 1: you ain't hearing me. I'm my voice raising because you're
- 17:49Speaker 1: not listening. You know what, Forget it, just forget it,
- 17:52Speaker 1: just to get the whole thing for get asked. Get
- 17:55Speaker 1: it all right? Now, I don't want to talk to
- 17:56Speaker 1: my mom. Okay, I'm going in here, simper, I'm going
- 18:01Speaker 1: to I'm not talking to you no more. You don't
- 18:06Speaker 1: have to worry about me talking to you. Okay, when
- 18:09Speaker 1: you coming from now, I will not be talking about Okay,
- 18:14Speaker 1: let's see how you like that. If you don't want
- 18:16Speaker 1: to talk, then I don't want to talk. No, no, no,
- 18:18Speaker 1: no no no. I tried to talk, but you didn't
- 18:21Speaker 1: want to talk. Now you want to talk. Talk baby,
- 18:27Speaker 1: I'm going in here and just sit down the chill
- 18:30Speaker 1: because you can't talk to me. All right, baby, just
- 18:34Speaker 1: just look look look, just whatever you said, I didn't
- 18:37Speaker 1: even know are we talking? All I was going to
- 18:39Speaker 1: hear you said you want to talk to me no
- 18:41Speaker 1: more okay, then forget it. No, wout to talk. Let's stop.
- 18:45Speaker 1: You don't talk to me, and I won't talk to you.
- 18:47Speaker 1: All right, that's good, it works fine for me. Ever
- 18:51Speaker 1: talk to you? Now he walks away under his brow
- 18:55Speaker 1: and he so he thinks and he said, husband's crazy,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and then she follows him in the room. Yeah, she says,
- 19:09Speaker 1: I just have one question. I just I just had
- 19:14Speaker 1: one more question to ask you. Why don't you want
- 19:18Speaker 1: to talk to me? What did I do? Yeah? What
- 19:21Speaker 1: did I do? Because I didn't do anything to you? No,
- 19:24Speaker 1: you ain't did nothing. I just told you I had
- 19:26Speaker 1: a long thing. And then you said you didn't want
- 19:27Speaker 1: to talk. I said, I'm going to hear the chill
- 19:29Speaker 1: and you to follow me and asked me again one
- 19:34Speaker 1: more thing. I got one more thing to ask you,
- 19:37Speaker 1: colombo ya come on? Well, okay, so one more time
- 19:45Speaker 1: under my breath. And I don't think she can hear this.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So I said to myself, this is helpful. Cz Oh,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'm crazy now, I'm crazy. Now I'm ready want that one.
- 20:01Speaker 1: You've been crazy, but I'm crazy. No, I ain't say
- 20:03Speaker 1: he's crazy. I an't say who's crazy. I'm crazy now
- 20:06Speaker 1: I'm crazy. No, I said what I'm gonna show you crazy, Steve,
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you crazy. No, I don't know what
- 20:12Speaker 1: I said. I ain't say this crazy. And now I'm
- 20:16Speaker 1: gonna su you know I said this crazy. You you
- 20:18Speaker 1: want to see it, I'm show it to you. Well,
- 20:22Speaker 1: I'm looking at wait what he's already looking at him?
- 20:31Speaker 1: Every man who's winning way with good friend? Laugh when
- 20:34Speaker 1: you get at work. Okay, oh my god, that's it right,
- 20:41Speaker 1: there were pretty much coverted. Huh yeah, good job, Jay. Yeah,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you played wifey very well, very well. You're listening Steve
- 20:57Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right now. It is for the reverend
- 21:00Speaker 1: and the deacon. They are here with church complaints. Wasn't
- 21:11Speaker 1: wasn't really ready for that? Don't weary about don't have
- 21:17Speaker 1: regular deck or regular or motown voice, motown have would
- 21:24Speaker 1: win a little Lord Sony Empy Columbia on them, and
- 21:29Speaker 1: really whoo. He heads out the best of I can.
- 21:34Speaker 1: But we are here again Calvary for church complaints. But
- 21:39Speaker 1: what is it, dear? I passed that to day we
- 21:44Speaker 1: have since the vera. Jean Gladmore is finally getting her
- 21:49Speaker 1: beard cut. He has gotten tired of the members calling
- 21:53Speaker 1: her Deacon Vernon, instead of verya passor he is request
- 21:58Speaker 1: in five cases of magic shave to get the entire
- 22:01Speaker 1: beard off. I was thinking more of a fund raising
- 22:07Speaker 1: event with her. Oh, I was gonna put it in
- 22:13Speaker 1: a cage in the basement of the church and help
- 22:16Speaker 1: people pay two dollars to see the bearded lady. Well
- 22:22Speaker 1: I'm not that's that and raised money for the building
- 22:25Speaker 1: fun at the circus. Or we could have a black
- 22:33Speaker 1: black or like like doing car wash, have her at
- 22:37Speaker 1: the end behind a drape. Yeah. I can bring this
- 22:42Speaker 1: up to it, but she's really focusing on getting the
- 22:45Speaker 1: magic saved, only getting the beard out. But that's we'll
- 22:47Speaker 1: run that by first. Before we're spending money on the
- 22:50Speaker 1: magic shade. We're not gonna get a case. Well, now
- 22:54Speaker 1: she needs more than a case pass to get all
- 22:56Speaker 1: that hell off. Well, see, first you have to shave
- 22:59Speaker 1: it or nephew, then you you magic check. You don't
- 23:02Speaker 1: put it over me. That's deacon. It's not nephew, it's beacon.
- 23:09Speaker 1: H Okay, Well get it together, Reverence. Here's something that
- 23:18Speaker 1: you need to know. Pastor. Our sister Deaconda Jenkins and
- 23:22Speaker 1: brother Lavon Terry Rivers Scarcter to be married in three weeks.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Instead of you doing the wedding, they are requesting Bishop Carry,
- 23:31Speaker 1: who just did the raw weddings for Prince Harry and
- 23:34Speaker 1: making Marcael. They won't him as well as third of
- 23:37Speaker 1: men on hearts escort him to the reception as they
- 23:41Speaker 1: ride in a carry. Well, well, well look like I
- 23:48Speaker 1: won't be doing the wind hu will will. I'm just
- 23:53Speaker 1: saying this, good luck in getting outside or help with
- 23:57Speaker 1: this wedding. You might didn't get the preacher that did.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, maybe Marco with man you might be able to.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I don't know him, but you made you maybe a
- 24:07Speaker 1: brutal train come up with the necessary feet. But I
- 24:10Speaker 1: tell you what, you're not gonna have thirty damn horses
- 24:12Speaker 1: that I bet you don't have money for that. Alright,
- 24:20Speaker 1: I passed the wearing on pastor. I listen beyond say
- 24:24Speaker 1: just about eight new thirty dogs. I don't, nobody won't.
- 24:29Speaker 1: That's not elegant, damn Pastor. The elegance is when the horses,
- 24:33Speaker 1: and elegance costs money, Deacon, and I understand, I'm just
- 24:37Speaker 1: telling you what they wanted, but they quit what it was.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Well quit um now listen Beyond just by the church
- 24:46Speaker 1: in New Orleans for eight hundred and fiftif thousand dollars.
- 24:50Speaker 1: The members have had an emergency meeting and want to
- 24:53Speaker 1: put the J p j J up for sale for
- 24:56Speaker 1: a cool million. But they're also throwing you in on
- 25:00Speaker 1: the deal as well. If the sales. I'm just letting
- 25:04Speaker 1: you know, I'll be starting my own church with the money,
- 25:06Speaker 1: and the members are going with me. Well, let me
- 25:11Speaker 1: liken you to something. If they throw me in the
- 25:13Speaker 1: deal and pay the million, I'm gonna get the million.
- 25:17Speaker 1: They can clothed it ragged, and you want to wherever
- 25:22Speaker 1: you want to. You let somebody pay a million for
- 25:25Speaker 1: this hell and see them on our ticket. All right, man,
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm just saying we're gonna be calling Beyond Faith about
- 25:33Speaker 1: buying the check. I don't think Beyond gonna buy another one.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Well some people have, you don't think. Just think of
- 25:40Speaker 1: something around with having a chain of churches. Chain. You're
- 25:45Speaker 1: trying to act like we're fast food. That's not what
- 25:50Speaker 1: we are. U can't franchise churches. They did it with
- 25:56Speaker 1: the kicking, But all right, we don't have chicken. I know,
- 26:01Speaker 1: I know. Here's something you need to know passing the
- 26:05Speaker 1: trips the church roads have now been converted with the
- 26:09Speaker 1: pens in them. The choir would be singing a marathon
- 26:15Speaker 1: concert to raise money for their summer trip to Jerusalem.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Members are complaining. They're saying, this concert is going to stink.
- 26:24Speaker 1: It's up to you to fix this one. Pass once again. Well,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I understand no need for the quad to have a
- 26:33Speaker 1: marathon count. Do understand the application of the pens inside
- 26:40Speaker 1: of the route being now hard? Do you? Now you
- 26:45Speaker 1: step into the road, You step into the road when
- 26:47Speaker 1: you actually you're stepping into the the pen as you
- 26:50Speaker 1: ride right right right, kind of like a jumper. Yeah,
- 26:53Speaker 1: and you zip it out. Okay, well that's gonna be interesting.
- 26:58Speaker 1: System Burton, he needs help with pro assist to the
- 27:04Speaker 1: step down and hust him. And you know that woman, Lord,
- 27:14Speaker 1: she thought off creator of doing. I'm not talking about
- 27:21Speaker 1: the war down that out back. I'm talking about the
- 27:26Speaker 1: original bloom on you cry, put tears in your all
- 27:38Speaker 1: right pastor just that Glinda Fraser will be doing how
- 27:43Speaker 1: sug avery song and dance. He's asking it all the
- 27:46Speaker 1: men come out and making rain This Wednesday night at
- 27:49Speaker 1: the juke joint around the corner. She said, you gave
- 27:52Speaker 1: her a hundred dollars the last time I gave a
- 27:55Speaker 1: whole hundred dollars to stop. She might have been doing
- 27:59Speaker 1: the shoe gave it, but she looked just like shoes
- 28:02Speaker 1: like I just learned something that we shoot avery this
- 28:11Speaker 1: over time. I swart. God, I thought it was shooting night,
- 28:18Speaker 1: not death death roll shoes like look just like it
- 28:24Speaker 1: scared me to death. So that hen that I gave
- 28:30Speaker 1: her was to stop. Get out right girls, just like it, Lord,
- 28:42Speaker 1: before we go pafter we had one quick announcement from
- 28:45Speaker 1: I know it. You're going to start or let me
- 28:53Speaker 1: know when you change your announcement. Yeah, I'm sorry that
- 28:58Speaker 1: was out in my tears complaints that that was. I
- 29:00Speaker 1: only give you think you so much to let me
- 29:04Speaker 1: have that. There'll bill beating, they'll bill beating. Read after service,
- 29:08Speaker 1: blonde hair, black roots. If you'd like to participate, blonde hill,
- 29:13Speaker 1: black roots, it'll be beating rooms five. You're listening Steve
- 29:23Speaker 1: Hardy Morning Show. All right, Steve, you you started telling
- 29:27Speaker 1: us about this woman. I met this girl and in college, Lord,
- 29:35Speaker 1: she was fine creole girl. My brother told me how
- 29:39Speaker 1: to get him and he gave me some money to
- 29:40Speaker 1: take out, so I told her pick a restaurant. She
- 29:42Speaker 1: picked a creole restaurant. I'm seventeen. I ain't had no
- 29:46Speaker 1: creole food, so I'm in. I go in there. She
- 29:50Speaker 1: didn't order all this spicy stuff there to faye, all
- 29:53Speaker 1: this but spicy though. Yeah, yeah, I'm eating stuff. Man
- 29:57Speaker 1: ain't never been in my system there, f So I'm
- 30:01Speaker 1: taking her home and my stomach is turning. So we
- 30:05Speaker 1: get at the front of the house. I'm a walker
- 30:07Speaker 1: to the dough. She said, come on here for a
- 30:09Speaker 1: little while. My mama and I'm gone. My mama had
- 30:13Speaker 1: told me when your stomach is tolk, try to go home. Yeah,
- 30:17Speaker 1: but that didn't nobody else house. But she was so fine.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I just said, well, man, let me go in here
- 30:24Speaker 1: for a little while, because I what kind of man
- 30:26Speaker 1: would I be? Fine? Chicken? Bite you in and mom
- 30:29Speaker 1: and dad ain't there. Let me leave, go on in
- 30:31Speaker 1: here something but your stomach. I mean, really, Shirley, that's
- 30:35Speaker 1: a girl and man would have went in there. I'm
- 30:40Speaker 1: sitting down on the couch, We're watching TV. My stomach turning.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I can hear, so I said, can I go to
- 30:46Speaker 1: the bathroom? She said second dough on the left. I
- 30:51Speaker 1: go in there, and Lord have mercy the walls of Gibraltar.
- 30:58Speaker 1: You know what's coming the walls. I didn't grabbed the
- 31:04Speaker 1: tie rack in front of me to just try to
- 31:07Speaker 1: hang off. I'm twisting the guest tile in my head
- 31:11Speaker 1: like I'm bringing it out. I didn't knock the toilet
- 31:15Speaker 1: tissue holder off the wall screws out everything. I didn't
- 31:19Speaker 1: kicked over the trash. Can you can hear this right?
- 31:23Speaker 1: I don't get he wasn't feeling what I was feeling.
- 31:28Speaker 1: But I'm using the bathroom so much that is alarming
- 31:34Speaker 1: to me. Yeah, I've actually put more in there that
- 31:40Speaker 1: I've ever put in there in my life. Briar too,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I think I didn't know what you don't stop my
- 31:47Speaker 1: story shooting. This is for junior and time. So I'm
- 31:53Speaker 1: feeling the bowler. So finally I'm done. To my relief,
- 31:56Speaker 1: I'm but I'm sweating though. I'm talking about my shirt wide.
- 32:04Speaker 1: I put my whole shirt. It's wide. I had hung
- 32:09Speaker 1: my past up on the back of the door because
- 32:13Speaker 1: I used a bathroom like my daddy always hate my
- 32:15Speaker 1: pants and draws up on the back of the Yeah,
- 32:21Speaker 1: you don't ever use the bathroom. But I got my
- 32:23Speaker 1: shirt on, but I didn't open it up because it's hot.
- 32:26Speaker 1: I got just just water coming down out the front.
- 32:30Speaker 1: So I stand up and I flushed the toilet. Now
- 32:36Speaker 1: I'm putting my clothes on. But you know how you're
- 32:39Speaker 1: waiting to hear that sound that all I hear is
- 32:47Speaker 1: to swirl it. And I turned around and in this rise,
- 32:57Speaker 1: I'm asking God not just do the is to me today.
- 33:03Speaker 1: I'm asking God, don't not today, Lord, We're not in here.
- 33:08Speaker 1: We have to have a part three. This ain't the
- 33:10Speaker 1: time for Lord, stop this swirl from rising. In your
- 33:19Speaker 1: name Father, they never now o God, Steve, we have
- 33:27Speaker 1: to go to Miss Anne's. I will, but Jesus real
- 33:30Speaker 1: in stop this swarl. But INSTEADY coming good. Part two
- 33:37Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Steve Morning Show. Here we are, Steve,
- 33:43Speaker 1: just catch up. I'm over this fine girl house stomach
- 33:48Speaker 1: toe up in eight gree old food seventeen. Should have
- 33:51Speaker 1: went home and used the bathroom. Fine, Now I'm in
- 33:55Speaker 1: here using the bathroom and all held and proclusive. Here.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I'm in here, neckid, sitting on the just my shirt
- 34:02Speaker 1: on because I like the ship whine. I like to
- 34:06Speaker 1: be open and free, and I need it because I
- 34:08Speaker 1: had to brace myself a couple of times. But she
- 34:10Speaker 1: never came in there. Not yet she coming. That's coming
- 34:14Speaker 1: in the store. So I get up. I finally get through.
- 34:18Speaker 1: But I've noticed that I'm putting more in the bowls
- 34:20Speaker 1: and never been, so I'm a little bit concerned with them,
- 34:24Speaker 1: ship argue. So I flushed the toilet as I'm putting
- 34:28Speaker 1: my pants back up on me, and I'm waiting to
- 34:31Speaker 1: hear that. But I don't hear it. And I look back.
- 34:38Speaker 1: That's going in a slow circle. So I go in.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I go to my heavenly father father dog boy, Now
- 34:48Speaker 1: long stop this rising time. Wow, somehow, don't let this
- 34:55Speaker 1: swirl get up by the top. But he didn't hear
- 34:58Speaker 1: me that ding. I guess it wasn't let the next
- 35:02Speaker 1: thing I know, it's at the very top of the tarlet.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Oh my god, and it's about to flow over. So
- 35:10Speaker 1: now I don't know what to do. So I looked
- 35:13Speaker 1: down and it's a trash can. So I dipped the
- 35:17Speaker 1: trash can down in it, and I got a trash
- 35:21Speaker 1: can full of it. Yeah, So I pulled a shower
- 35:24Speaker 1: curtin back and throw it in the bath too. When
- 35:31Speaker 1: here comes some moat. So I had to take another
- 35:35Speaker 1: trash can full of it and throw another trash can
- 35:39Speaker 1: in the bathtub. And here comes some damn moat. So
- 35:43Speaker 1: now I realized they call it is broke. The backed
- 35:49Speaker 1: up and it started going back down. I say, I
- 35:55Speaker 1: gotta get some water and put it in here. So
- 35:58Speaker 1: I started running water in the trash can to pour
- 36:02Speaker 1: down there and make the water go clean. So I
- 36:05Speaker 1: finally did that, and I said, thank you Lord. And
- 36:08Speaker 1: I looked over and the damn bathtub right shower Kirk,
- 36:18Speaker 1: it's trap. I look up. It's on the wall. Wait, wait, hold,
- 36:25Speaker 1: it's on the wall. Four part four, Hold on, this
- 36:29Speaker 1: is this is r Kellys in the closet, and this
- 36:33Speaker 1: is Steve Holly in the barn food trapped parts, Folks
- 36:37Speaker 1: coming up right over, trap in the brown food part. Folk,
- 36:42Speaker 1: it's on the walls, the shower curve and the bathtub
- 36:47Speaker 1: coming up. More of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at
- 36:49Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour. You're listening to the Steve
- 36:53Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Steve Trapped in the bath in the
- 37:01Speaker 1: close part. Folk. Yeah, I didn't bailed out three buckets
- 37:07Speaker 1: trash hands a pure mess, then throwed it in the
- 37:12Speaker 1: shower so without get all of the water back in
- 37:16Speaker 1: the tarlet where I got it upside in the water clean,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I said, okay, cool, I look over the damn bathtub
- 37:23Speaker 1: and strike. So now I cut skis, people shower on
- 37:30Speaker 1: and I'm washing down the walls, the shower curtain with
- 37:34Speaker 1: the shower. The girl comes up to the girl because
- 37:37Speaker 1: I've been in here now about the minute all time,
- 37:42Speaker 1: so she said, you O came down everything fast. She said,
- 37:51Speaker 1: it sounds like something wrong in that to get away
- 37:58Speaker 1: from the dun said, well, otky the house. So I'm
- 38:02Speaker 1: in there's this too late. But I noticed they got
- 38:06Speaker 1: a candle in the bathrooms. I light it. I light
- 38:10Speaker 1: the candle, start striking matches and running tapwater. That's when
- 38:14Speaker 1: my mom always told me, strike some matches and run
- 38:16Speaker 1: some tap water and to help you get rid of older.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So I've been there, but now I'm washing down shower curtains, walls,
- 38:23Speaker 1: the bathtub, getting up stuff off the floe. Now now
- 38:29Speaker 1: you've probably saying, Steve, what is you washing it down with? Yeah?
- 38:33Speaker 1: What paper ties in there? But that tie rat that
- 38:37Speaker 1: I had grabbed when I first sat down and was
- 38:39Speaker 1: twisting it. Yeah, they guest house there with the lace
- 38:44Speaker 1: in the Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I washed it down,
- 38:51Speaker 1: not my good towel. That is tie is brown. I
- 38:57Speaker 1: can't rising all because the color wasn't when it started
- 39:04Speaker 1: that was pink. This is awful now that tis it's running.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I don't wash all the walls down. Everything I'm in
- 39:10Speaker 1: that sweat has been on a construction site. So I've
- 39:16Speaker 1: been in there total about damn near hour. So I
- 39:20Speaker 1: pulled fastened my clothes, I look at the bathroom. I
- 39:23Speaker 1: got everything up, but I got this big nasty ass tie,
- 39:27Speaker 1: and I don't know what to do with it. So
- 39:29Speaker 1: I take it, put it in the waste paper can
- 39:32Speaker 1: that I've been bailing with, and stuck all that under
- 39:35Speaker 1: the sink. I figured this ain't gonna be good, no
- 39:41Speaker 1: how ye. But at least when they come in here,
- 39:44Speaker 1: they're gonna they's gonna take a moment, because I know
- 39:46Speaker 1: when you're going there, you're gonna have to say what
- 39:49Speaker 1: they happened here. Because I couldn't remember how the shower
- 39:53Speaker 1: curtain was of none of that, and I got I look,
- 39:56Speaker 1: I'm taking I got everything off, so I walked in
- 40:00Speaker 1: the hallway. She's sitting on the couch with the attitude
- 40:03Speaker 1: of folding. Then she looked at me and she said,
- 40:08Speaker 1: why are you pitting that so long? I had a
- 40:10Speaker 1: little accident this, She said, Oh my god, look at you.
- 40:15Speaker 1: What was I didn't realize when I was barely all
- 40:23Speaker 1: that mess into the shower, it was splashing on my
- 40:28Speaker 1: pants below my knee. I ain't had time to look
- 40:32Speaker 1: at this because I'm too busy cleaning up their damn house.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Now I looked down, It's just specks, splash marks from
- 40:44Speaker 1: my knee down my pass was trying. I looked at huh.
- 40:49Speaker 1: She looked at me and she said, oh my god,
- 40:52Speaker 1: look at you. What have you been doing. I looked
- 40:56Speaker 1: at her, said you ain't got talk to me like that,
- 41:01Speaker 1: and walked up the fourth got in my car, had
- 41:07Speaker 1: to ride home with all my wonders. Dad, I spank.
- 41:13Speaker 1: I smelled sitting in that call. That girl saw me
- 41:20Speaker 1: on the campus next day and all her girlfriend was
- 41:23Speaker 1: looking at me act like I had never met him.
- 41:27Speaker 1: And that was my seve hobbies. Wow, trapped, trapped claulton.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I will put some music to that. Alright, alright, nephew,

- 49:07Speaker 1: Morning Show Brother, I think I might tellgate at least
- 49:10Speaker 1: a couple of times this year. What yall think you'll
- 49:12Speaker 1: get out a little bit. Yeah, And people go to
- 49:16Speaker 1: the game. Two different groups. But the tailgators getting their
- 49:22Speaker 1: fights out there, they do a lot of a lot
- 49:25Speaker 1: of he go up against subpark competition people, decent looking
- 49:37Speaker 1: people that but you know what section you got the
- 49:43Speaker 1: party you've been that park over there in a good
- 49:47Speaker 1: looking So they got an ugly tailgate right over there
- 49:51Speaker 1: with all other people, got the biggest grial set up
- 49:58Speaker 1: because they need a lot of moke around. Stand back.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Then people are looking at ignorant. So if you go
- 50:07Speaker 1: to the tailgate, you already know to just take yourself
- 50:10Speaker 1: over to the ugly city. That's why I'm going right
- 50:12Speaker 1: on over there. That's why. But your situation is different. See,

- 50:58Speaker 1: live on the air like we're doing this one. You
- 51:01Speaker 1: never know, you never know. Up hold on type We
- 51:04Speaker 1: got it, Paul you here It is a Strawberry let
- 51:06Speaker 1: us subject why is my son in law watching me?
- 51:11Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm writing you for advice and a
- 51:14Speaker 1: family matter. When my daughter had her first child, she
- 51:18Speaker 1: and her husband asked me to move in with them
- 51:20Speaker 1: to help out with the baby. I was thrilled to
- 51:22Speaker 1: be there to help with my grandchild. After living with
- 51:25Speaker 1: them for about five months, my daughter came to me
- 51:28Speaker 1: and said that her husband had been watching me move
- 51:31Speaker 1: around the house. I thought she meant that he was
- 51:33Speaker 1: watching me to see how I handled the baby. I
- 51:35Speaker 1: didn't think anything about it. Once again, my daughter came
- 51:39Speaker 1: to me and said that her husband was watching me
- 51:41Speaker 1: and that she felt some type of way about it.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Now she had my full attention. This was no joking matter.
- 51:48Speaker 1: She told me that my son in law had been
- 51:50Speaker 1: watching me in an inappropriate way. My son in law
- 51:54Speaker 1: has always said that he doesn't like big women, and
- 51:57Speaker 1: I'm a big, curvy wop girl. So I took my
- 52:00Speaker 1: daughter into the living room with me to confront him
- 52:02Speaker 1: about his inappropriate behavior. He said that I wear tight
- 52:06Speaker 1: pants and leggings to entice him, and I'm doing it
- 52:09Speaker 1: on purpose. I moved out immediately to remove myself from
- 52:13Speaker 1: the situation. I've always dressed decently and leggings are in style,
- 52:18Speaker 1: so I never thought about my clothes. Uh. I never
- 52:21Speaker 1: thought that my clothes were a problem. Since I've moved out,
- 52:24Speaker 1: my relationship with my daughter is rocky. I can't help
- 52:27Speaker 1: but feel like she blames me for her husband's attraction
- 52:30Speaker 1: to me. This really bothers me, and I'm sad because
- 52:34Speaker 1: I don't get to see my grandchild that much anymore.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I don't know why my son in law will come
- 52:38Speaker 1: up with this mess, but it seems like he's turning
- 52:41Speaker 1: my daughter against me. What can I do to make
- 52:43Speaker 1: things right? Please help? This is crazy. I really don't
- 52:49Speaker 1: believe my eyes and ears. I mean, either they want
- 52:51Speaker 1: you gone immediately and that's what you did. Um after
- 52:55Speaker 1: five months of being there with them, or they're just
- 52:57Speaker 1: playing crazy. Um, you haven't done anything wrong. You you
- 53:01Speaker 1: asked what you know? What can you do to make
- 53:03Speaker 1: things right? You haven't done anything wrong. You came there
- 53:05Speaker 1: to help them, you know, because they requested that you do,
- 53:09Speaker 1: so you did that. And now somehow it's turned on
- 53:12Speaker 1: you because your son in law uh finds you attractive
- 53:16Speaker 1: in tight clothes. This sounds crazy. And then some for
- 53:21Speaker 1: some reason, he's gotten his daughter, your daughter to his wife,
- 53:24Speaker 1: to get on board with this foolishness. Um. Uh, And
- 53:28Speaker 1: what is wrong? I don't understand what's wrong with your
- 53:31Speaker 1: daughter to even go along with this. You're her mom.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Of course, she you know, is one with her husband
- 53:37Speaker 1: and everything. But you're her mom. And again you came
- 53:39Speaker 1: there to help them. So um, now your relationship with
- 53:43Speaker 1: her is rocky. You're gone, So why is there still
- 53:46Speaker 1: a problem here? Uh? You don't get to see your grandchild.
- 53:50Speaker 1: You lose in this situation, But the grandchild does too
- 53:54Speaker 1: because they don't get the benefit of seeing their grandparents anymore.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Because your son in law is attracted to you and
- 54:01Speaker 1: your daughter feels some kind of way. This letter is crazy.
- 54:04Speaker 1: If they wanted you to leave, they could have asked you. Uh,
- 54:08Speaker 1: just asked you or done it differently, not this crazy,
- 54:11Speaker 1: ignorant way. Um. I don't think you have anything to
- 54:14Speaker 1: feel guilty or badly about except for not seeing your grandson.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Maybe you and your daughter can sit down and talk
- 54:20Speaker 1: about this. But she doesn't sound reasonable either the t
- 54:27Speaker 1: This is actually a bogus, really ignorant letter. To tell
- 54:32Speaker 1: you the first of all, this lady says, uh, why
- 54:39Speaker 1: is my son in law watching me? Well, that's the question,
- 54:42Speaker 1: why is he watching me? But this dude is wrong
- 54:46Speaker 1: on so many levels. I question. All of my questions
- 54:49Speaker 1: revert back to the motive of the son in law.
- 54:54Speaker 1: What is his objective? Because it serves no purpose man,
- 54:59Speaker 1: unless it wall us to to to put some distance
- 55:03Speaker 1: between you and your daughter. And he didn't care how
- 55:07Speaker 1: he go about it. That are manipulative men in this world,
- 55:10Speaker 1: and I think that this kid happens to be one
- 55:13Speaker 1: of them. So she said they needed some help out
- 55:19Speaker 1: with the baby. I was thrilled to be there to
- 55:21Speaker 1: help my grandchild. After living with him for about five months,
- 55:25Speaker 1: my daughter came to me and said, that her husband
- 55:28Speaker 1: had been watching me move around the house. I thought
- 55:32Speaker 1: she meant he was watching me to see how I
- 55:34Speaker 1: handle a baby. I didn't think nothing about it. Not
- 55:37Speaker 1: all that's real. Right there, you can hear the truth
- 55:39Speaker 1: in this. Once again, my daughter came to me and
- 55:42Speaker 1: said that her husband was watching me and she felt
- 55:45Speaker 1: some type of way about it. Now she had my
- 55:48Speaker 1: full attention. This was no joking matter. She told me
- 55:52Speaker 1: that my son in law had been watching me in
- 55:54Speaker 1: an inappropriate way. Now right here, then we gotta address
- 55:59Speaker 1: what the hell wrong your son in law? Because she
- 56:03Speaker 1: said clearly that my son in law had been watching
- 56:07Speaker 1: me in an inappropriate way. So this is all on him.
- 56:13Speaker 1: He looking at this girl's mama in an inappropriate way.
- 56:19Speaker 1: That's him, that's him. See, fellas, don't nobody make you.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Won't there. You have a choice, you cannot want them.
- 56:30Speaker 1: So this woman wasn't trying to do nothing to you.
- 56:33Speaker 1: This is something you drummed up. Not with all of
- 56:35Speaker 1: that said, then she told me that So what she
- 56:38Speaker 1: did was my son law had been watching me inappropriate way.
- 56:41Speaker 1: My son in law has always said he doesn't like
- 56:44Speaker 1: big women, and I'm a big curvy woman. So I
- 56:47Speaker 1: took my daughter into the living room with me to
- 56:49Speaker 1: confront him about this inappropriate behavior. Now, this woman going,
- 56:52Speaker 1: hold up, let me bring you in front of him
- 56:55Speaker 1: so you don't think I'm doing something to him, and
- 56:57Speaker 1: that we can ask him right now? What have I
- 56:59Speaker 1: done to you directly to make you have my daughter
- 57:02Speaker 1: in here talking to me about this? So we can
- 57:04Speaker 1: just come on in here right now talk to this
- 57:06Speaker 1: little boy. Well, she went in there and a little
- 57:08Speaker 1: boy didn't have nothing because he was lying. He said
- 57:13Speaker 1: that I wear tight pasts and leggings to entice him,
- 57:16Speaker 1: and I'm doing it on purpose. Maybe she just had
- 57:22Speaker 1: the clothes on. It wasn't thinking nothing. She in a
- 57:24Speaker 1: She figured she at home, She had her daughter's house.
- 57:27Speaker 1: She figured she welcome. Now you're tripping My whole thing
- 57:33Speaker 1: is It's not you, ma'am, it's all him. Why would he?
- 57:39Speaker 1: First of all, why would he take this to his wife?
- 57:43Speaker 1: You've got to understand the motive behind him. What good
- 57:47Speaker 1: are you trying to accomplish by bringing this to your wife?
- 57:51Speaker 1: He watching? He watching you? She she she'd be doing stuff.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I'll be I'll be looking at her some kind of way. Baby,
- 57:59Speaker 1: I can't I don't even know how he said it.
- 58:01Speaker 1: All right, Steve, hang on a second. We'll have part
- 58:04Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three after
- 58:07Speaker 1: the hour subject why is my son in law watching me?
- 58:10Speaker 1: You're listening, but right now it's your turn against Steve.
- 58:16Speaker 1: We're part two of your response to today's Strawberry letter,
- 58:19Speaker 1: Why is my son in law watching me? Once again?
- 58:22Speaker 1: This woman been living with her daughter and her husband
- 58:25Speaker 1: and five months baby for about five months, trying to
- 58:28Speaker 1: help him out. The daughter says her husband came to
- 58:32Speaker 1: him and started saying, you know, I've been watching your
- 58:35Speaker 1: mama move around. She takes the information to her mother
- 58:39Speaker 1: and go, my husband is watching you move around. The
- 58:42Speaker 1: mother thinks she's talking about the way he handles the baby.
- 58:45Speaker 1: He comes back, double's back again, you know, and tells
- 58:50Speaker 1: her now, like you know, she'd be just in front
- 58:52Speaker 1: of me baby, and I don't know what I'm doing
- 58:54Speaker 1: with it now. All of a sudden, the daughter says
- 58:56Speaker 1: she's feeling some kind of way, so she confronts her
- 58:59Speaker 1: mother about mother think thinking nothing of it, does the
- 59:02Speaker 1: right thing takes her daughter into that to her husband
- 59:05Speaker 1: to just lay it out on the line. How have
- 59:08Speaker 1: I done something directly to you, Dwayne or whatever Punk's
- 59:11Speaker 1: name is, and then you know, just to get it clear,
- 59:15Speaker 1: he's sitting up in here talking about something. You'd be
- 59:17Speaker 1: wearing tight pants and leggings to entice me, and I'm
- 59:22Speaker 1: doing You're doing it on purpose. So lady said, I
- 59:24Speaker 1: moved out immediately. No, she said, this ain't the game up,
- 59:28Speaker 1: and I move out immediately right now. I've always dressed
- 59:31Speaker 1: decently and and legings is in style, so I thought
- 59:34Speaker 1: my clothing was wasn't. What was a problem since I
- 59:37Speaker 1: moved out, My relationship with my daughter's rocking. I can't
- 59:40Speaker 1: help but feel like she blames me for her husband's
- 59:42Speaker 1: attracting to me. This really bothers me, and I'm sad
- 59:45Speaker 1: because I don't get to see my grandchild that much anymore.
- 59:48Speaker 1: I know my son in law would come up. I
- 59:51Speaker 1: don't know why my son in law would come up
- 59:53Speaker 1: with this mess, but it seems like he's turning my
- 59:55Speaker 1: daughter against me. What can I do to make things right?
- 59:58Speaker 1: Please help? I think it's time for reenacting with Shirley. Yes,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: I want you to be not Jake. No, No, he
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: don't be a little too much. I won't won't. Well,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: let me see what I'm trying to react. I don't

- 1:12:16Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show. Steve, you are
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: the relationship expert on the show. H and I have
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: a list of things that what women really want and
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: what we want from our men. Women love to be protected.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Women of course like men who smell good. We like
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: men who surprise us galore. We love surprises. Women love surprises.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: We don't care if it's chocolates, if it's love notes,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: if it's gifts, or even bouquets of flowers. We love flowers.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: We love everything. Transparency and that's what we love from
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: our men. We love honesty. All you liars out there,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: that's still the best policy. Never lie. We like when
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: you dress well, when you look nice. We like when
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: you're okay, like when you dress well. Nothing turns off
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: a woman. Let me tell you the top three things
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: the women wontay security absolutely, women want a future. Ye,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: women won't loyalty. If you give a woman some security,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: provide her with a good look at a great future,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: and you give her your loyalty, she writeed that for you, man, security,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: future and and flowers and chocolates. Don't leave that and
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: love and give and transparency. We don't want you to
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: lie to us. Where was that honesty? That is, if
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you're loyal, loyal to cover but in your honesty. The
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: loyalty is honesty. Loyalty is honesty, and they want honesty
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: like honest gonna be all over. You can't you can't
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: tell everything. Okay, I agree, with that, you can't tell everything.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: But we're saying, don't lie. That's what we're saying. We
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: don't want you to lie to us. Sometimes we have
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: excuse me, sometimes we have Why would you have to
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: protect you from the truth. We don't need protecting from
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: the truth. Wants the truth. No, that is not true.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: That is not why I'm late. Sometimes will require a lie. No,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: you're protecting yourself. Down my car broke down? No, no,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: what was her name? No, the time you can do that.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: I can't go home to you, my wife. But here's
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: the deal. I'm home, so I ain't. Now. Back in
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: the day, you were the best at it. The lie
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: is for the protection of me. It's protection of you,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: not of the woman. Protection of you too. No, it's
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: not it's not protecting me. No, no, no, from the truth.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: You don't. We need to hear the truth. We can handle.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: You can't handle our reaction to the truth. The lie
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: is for you, not for us, for you, because I
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: don't want you to have to go off. No, it's okayka, No,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: No I won't. Oh yeah, well know if I don't
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: go off, that'll mess right there. When they tell you
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: tell me the truth I'm not gonna be upset. That's okay,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: that's want to look like the bad guy. We have
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: to say that, yeah, and we have to fix it. Yeah.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: We have to lie to you guys so we can
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: get the truth out of me. And we know that
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: we like lots of gifts, flowers, you know what about
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: those things, Steve? Yeah, we love all in the yard
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: she's seating. When she pulled in and pull up cheap car,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: she would go with the B words, so sham thing.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: J What do you have to say? Three times they
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: didn't work out? I'm done, I'm out. Well did you
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: do any of these things? And I still ended up
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: in court? Now? What y'ellse she got a lot of
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: stuff on that list. Did you give her chocolate? Love notes? Yes,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: give me an example of one of your love notes
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: getting caught. That's love notes right there. What about honesty?
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Were you honest? Very honest that one? Where were you lasting?
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Where were you last night? While you come in so late? Yeah?
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: I don't like that. I don't like questions. No, I
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: don't like when you in your relationship you have to
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: answer to people said, I don't like questions. I don't
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: like them either, But Most men don't like questions. They
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: will not ask me where you going? Honey? You look
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: all nice. You know you got all dressed up, you're
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: smelling good. Where you going? It's nine o'clock, you know,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: the late in Europe. Oh, you're going to where we
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: live in New York meeting? Where are you meeting? Perhaps
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: I can join you. It will only take me a
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: few minutes to get ready. Now we've meeting at a club. Oh,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I love clubs. Oh, which one? The new one? No,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: it's Oh, it's just a men's club. No women allowed.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: There will be no women in the club. Hey, well,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: I know how you are. You don't like men serving you,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: So I'm surprised you're going to this club at all. Well,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: they got a shift. They just stick the stuff out
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: to one. Can I ask you a question? Can you tell?
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Can you say this at home? What you just said?

- 1:20:25Speaker 1: of that off now. And number five, Man, your nerves
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: are bad. Rolling wheel and do the last it stops. Yea, oh,

- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you mean by hello? Hello? What man's got to be
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: hello in the morning? Why can't it be in the afternoon.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I'm tired of people speaking to me here in the
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: damn morning. I ain't got started on my day yet.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Every time I look around, somebody, good morning, good morning.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: What's so damn good about it? Come on, come on,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I'll tell you. I'll tell you. When you know your
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: nerve bad. When any sound you're here and you jump
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: fars like a call backfire with you up to this table.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: Your nerve is bad. You ain't sounds scare you. Come

- 1:21:56Speaker 1: see your kids walk in the room and go, oh
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: my daddy, and you turn up. What bad hell? Calling
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: me fault? When you have people standing outside your office
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: going no, you're gonna ask him? No you ask No,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: You're going no, you gonna ask him. I ain't gonna
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: ask if you ask him. We're playing comedy rolettin stuff. Man,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: your nerves are bad. I'll tell you. You know your
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: nerves bad when you're sitting there shaking, smoking a cigarette.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: I don't know what you're going through, but your nerves
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: is bad. I don't know what the evidence is, but
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: your ass is shaking. Let me tell you something. When
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: you were at your house and you buy yourself and
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: ain't nobody else in there but some ice moving the
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: glass in the sink, and your ass run through the
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: pit of your dough. When I opened your nerves, this
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: is an honor of our fearless leader, Steve Hardy, that
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you're talking about, Steve Man, your nerves is bad when
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you think all your co workers is lying on. You're
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. When you know it's time
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: to go back to church, it's time. You know when
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: it's time to church. Okay, when you know it is
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: time to take yo, but that the church. Somebody needs
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: to lay hands on me right now. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: How did I get here? When you wake up and
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: you went somebody and you don't know their name, it
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: is time? Who you talk about backsliding? Yeah? How long
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: we've been laying I got handcuffs. You try to go
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: back to church when you wake up in this bike box.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: You can't explain nothing. Who I'm doing it too much?
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: I'm doing too much. You know, it's hard to go
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: back to When you wake up and you got her
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: phone home? What the hell we have? And it's backwards?
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: You in the back and in the back put in
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: the front. That's a crazy, crazy visual right there. It's
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: time you to go back to church. When you're starting
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: to look at your boys grandmama and starting to feel
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: some time. Yeah back, who is that youth? I never
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: felt this way? Let you know it's time to go
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: back to church. When you see spake marks on your
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: behind and you don't know how they got that. Yeah,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: you can't excuse me, did you know? And it's a
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: man hand. It's pretty rough way. You know what's time
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: to actually happy day? When your lights watering gay get
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: turned off the same day you can't do nothing. It's time.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: You know it's time to go back. When you wake
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: up and your whole chest is peer, I need time
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: for you to go back the church. You've been arguing
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: with this fine girl for on ahead, trying to convince
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: hard it ain't no way can be cause it's seven ago.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: We're not really cousin's now, Come on, how you figuring that?
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: We right down to the fifth? The fifth? It's time
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: to go back to church. You know it's time to
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: go back to church. When you wake up with a
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: tattoo that says Veronica and you don't know about name, run,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: it's it's time to go to church. When you start
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: stalking anybody, oh little women talking about every way they
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: coming up. Steve's closing remarks at forty nine after the
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: or gather around everyone you're listening to give your closing remarks,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: are back what you got for us today? You know
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: what I just want to remind people because it's it's
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: a tough thing to cut people out your life. It's
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: a tough decision for people to make because the average person,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: uh you know, that's a positive nature. They like positive
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: things around them, positive energy, and it it's difficult when you,
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: as a positive or decent or caring person, has to
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: be faced with the decision to cut somebody out your life.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: And I've had to do it many times, and I'm
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: faced with the decision again even this stage of my life,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: that are people who I really should not have around
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: me now. Because I have a sense of guilt, I
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: continue to keep them. You know, I come up with
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: excuses for them. You know what they're gonna do? You know,
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: if they're not here, what would they do if if
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: if I remove them, what happens to them? Well, I
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: mean that's because you're caring person, But can I tell
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: you how much that ain't your business. It's really really not.
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: It's not your business, nor should you make it yours,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: because what will happened is if you guilt yourself into
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: holding on to this person, you will continue to possess
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: that nagging, gnawing feeling that you have every time you
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: around them, because they actually bring no real value to you.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: Oh they bring you a lot of promises. Oh they
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: bring you a lot of Oh man, this is man.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: I got something big I'm working on. Oh you hear
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: that all the time? Or I shall appreciate you. Lord,
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: I don't know where I be without you. You've been
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: You've been such a blessing to me. You know you're
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: gonna get it all kinds of ways, and that makes
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: you feel even worse about the inevitable decision that you
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: know you have to make. But let me help y'all
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: understand something right here. People can be manipulative. People can
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: be very, very manipulative. And when a person know they're
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: getting over on you, they say the things because they
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: know you're a decent person, so they say the things
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: to you to keep in the forefront of your mind.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: And how decent you are. God, bless you. You've been
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: a blessing to me. Lord, I don't know what I
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: do without you. I thank God for people like you. Well,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: when do I get to thank God for you? When
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: do you become such a blessing to me? When at
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: the point in this relationship where every relationship should be
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: give and take. When do I get to take something out?
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Because right now, all I'm doing give it. I'm telling you, y'all,
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: I know how you're feeling about cutting these people out
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: your life, but you have got to because if there's
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: a person in your life that's just on the receiving
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: end of your friendship and give you nothing in return,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: they are on the receiving end of your paycheck and
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: give you nothing in the return. They are receiving end
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: of all your goodness and favors and give you no
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: goodness and favors. You no longer have an obligation to
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: that person. You really don't. And I remind you of
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: something that Bishop Jake said. Sometimes you have to let
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: people go so they can be freed up to their
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: own destiny alone. See, because they keep tying their destiny
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: to yours. But see, God didn't give them your destiny.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: They got their own destiny. You know, unless you're with
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: your wife and your children, their destinies ain't tied to yours.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: And once your children get a certain age, your destiny
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: don't belong to them no more. They have to they,
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: as Marjorie says, their wings work. You gotta let them
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: get out there and get the flapping so they can fly.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: So as you make your list of people who bring
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: you nothing but bad news, they have to go. When
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: you make your list of people who every time they
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: call you they just won't something, they have to go.
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: They have to go because they're slowing you down. They dead. Wait,
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: they're sitting on the wagon and they ain't pushing. They
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: ain't getting out the wig wagon to remove no rocks
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: and debrie out the way. They ain't trying to fill
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: a pothole for you. They don't even repair wagon wheels.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: They just own your wagon, sitting there, legs up and
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: just chilling you out on a rope, just pulling. You
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: got to get rid of them people. The other people
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: you have to get rid of is sometimey people because
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: you know what's so hard about some timeing people, because
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: you don't never know when their time gonna be because
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: they's some timey. So sometimes they're cool and sometime they ain't.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: And on the days when you need them be cool,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: that's what that's one of them. Some days where they are.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: So now you got on these sometime people in your
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: life and you've been going, well, they're cool over here,
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: but they ain't cool over there. If the people in
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: your life ain't cool everywhere you take them and every
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: time you talk to them, you got to get rid
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: of them too. I'm sorry. Now that's gonna shorten your list,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: But what good is the list if it ain't a
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: good list? Stop just trying to have a list. It's
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: like people in a bad relationship. So you're gonna stay
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: in the bad relationship just so you can say you're
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: in a relationship. Or will you free yourself so that
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: you can be freed up to your destiny to possibly
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: be in a good relationship. But you're never getting a
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: good relationship if you're gonna stay and sit in the
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: bad relationship. What you's proven year after year after year
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: to be of no substance and no just no goodness
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: for you. It just does nothing for you. But you're
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: gonna stay in it just so you can say you
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: in a relationship. That's crazy, man, that's crazy. So y'all
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: think about it. Those people that you gotta cut loose,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: You got a tough decision, but you have to do it.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: God to bless you for it too. And guess what,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: you have more more free time, You have more money
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: and everything when you let them go and you don't
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: even have to deal with the aggravation to them anymore.
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: That's an amazing thing. So it's my clothes remarks. Just
