Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is verdict with Senator Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson
- 0:04Speaker 1: with you and Senator shocking what happened on the floor
- 0:08Speaker 1: of the Senate yesterday with Chuck Schumer basically going after
- 0:12Speaker 1: Israel instead of Hamas your reaction.
- 0:16Speaker 2: To this story yesterday was truly a shocking day. Was
- 0:19Speaker 2: an historic day, never in our country's history as something
- 0:23Speaker 2: happened like what Chuck Schumer did yesterday. He stood on
- 0:26Speaker 2: the Senate floor and he blasted the nation of Israel.
- 0:29Speaker 2: He stood on the Senate floor and he demanded that
- 0:32Speaker 2: Israel's elected Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanya, who stepped down. Mind you,
- 0:37Speaker 2: Schumer doesn't do this for enemies of America. He doesn't
- 0:40Speaker 2: do this for Russia. He doesn't do this for Iran.
- 0:42Speaker 2: He doesn't do this for Hamas. He reserves this hatred
- 0:46Speaker 2: for the elected leader of Israel, and sadly, Schumer is
- 0:50Speaker 2: the point of the spear. He represents also Democrats across
- 0:53Speaker 2: the board who were pivoting away from Israel. This very
- 0:56Speaker 2: same week, the Biden administration waves sayings to effectively give
- 1:01Speaker 2: ten billion dollars to Iran, to the Ayatola who pledges
- 1:07Speaker 2: death to Israel and death to America, who is funding Hamas,
- 1:11Speaker 2: who was behind the October seventh attack, and Joe Biden
- 1:15Speaker 2: is prepared to fund those zelots, while Chuck Schumer has
- 1:19Speaker 2: decided that the target of his ire should be the
- 1:22Speaker 2: elected leader of Israel. It's truly stunning, and it's dangerous.
- 1:26Speaker 1: It is dangerous, and we're going to obviously have a
- 1:28Speaker 1: lot of that audio from the fore of the Senate.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I also, so many vertical listeners have asked, what can
- 1:34Speaker 1: we do to help those in Israel. I want to
- 1:36Speaker 1: tell you about the International Fellowship of Christian and Jews.
- 1:39Speaker 1: And it's been five months since Hamas brutally attacked Israel,
- 1:43Speaker 1: launching that vicious war for Israel's very survival, and as
- 1:47Speaker 1: Israel fights for her existence, so many people around the world,
- 1:51Speaker 1: even in America's community, have said, what can we do
- 1:57Speaker 1: to help? Well, there are a lot of needs right now.
- 2:01Speaker 1: The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is on the
- 2:04Speaker 1: ground in Israel and they're delivering critically needed emergency supplies
- 2:09Speaker 1: for those suffering as we speak. There is a significant
- 2:13Speaker 1: immediate need for essentials like food, medicine, and emergency supplies
- 2:18Speaker 1: for hundreds of thousands of suffering Jews. Many cannot return
- 2:22Speaker 1: to their homes because the rocket fire in the north
- 2:24Speaker 1: from Hesblah. Israel is in desperate need, and that's why
- 2:28Speaker 1: we are partnering with a fellowship and I want you
- 2:31Speaker 1: to get involved. Every donation is going to be used
- 2:35Speaker 1: basically immediately. If you want to help the people in Israel,
- 2:39Speaker 1: give to IFCJ by going to support IFCJ dot org.
- 2:44Speaker 1: That's SUPPORTIFCJ dot org. It's one word, support IFCJ dot org.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Now here's the other great thing. Your gift is going
- 2:53Speaker 1: to be automatically matched to double in impact and help
- 2:57Speaker 1: you provide twice the support, So it doesn't matter if
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's even five dollars, it turns into ten. You get
- 3:03Speaker 1: the point. If you want to help the people that
- 3:05Speaker 1: are in desperate need in Israel, go to support IFCJ
- 3:08Speaker 1: dot org. Right now, that's support IFCJ dot org. Senator,
- 3:14Speaker 1: let's talk about the backdrop for what Schumer said and
- 3:18Speaker 1: why this timing is so significant. I think it has
- 3:22Speaker 1: a lot to do with the state of the Union.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I really want your opinion on that. It was pretty
- 3:26Speaker 1: clear that the President was kind of changing a little
- 3:29Speaker 1: bit his perspective and his words on Israel. He was
- 3:33Speaker 1: also caught on a hot mic that we talked about
- 3:35Speaker 1: here on Verdict as well. And as I watched Chuck
- 3:39Speaker 1: Schumer say these words on the floor of the Senate yesterday,
- 3:44Speaker 1: there was honestly a part of me that I'm like,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I'm not even sure Chuck Schumer believes this, and I
- 3:48Speaker 1: want your take on that. Maybe he really does, but
- 3:51Speaker 1: it was almost like it was a decision made within
- 3:54Speaker 1: the Democratic Party. Okay, we got to get people younger
- 3:58Speaker 1: and a lot of the radicals of the Democratic Party,
- 4:00Speaker 1: the Socialists and the Marxists and the Communists, they hate Israel.
- 4:04Speaker 1: They support Hamas and the Palestinians. They believe that Israel
- 4:09Speaker 1: is evil. So let's placate to them. I'll go give
- 4:12Speaker 1: this speech that I would have never given before, and
- 4:15Speaker 1: maybe that'll get them back in an excitement to vote
- 4:19Speaker 1: for us. Is there a possibility that could have been
- 4:22Speaker 1: part of what this is about just straight up selling
- 4:24Speaker 1: out or do you believe he actually believes what he's
- 4:25Speaker 1: saying about getting rid of neat Yahu.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Well, I think there's several things that are going on. Yes,
- 4:30Speaker 2: I believe what I believe he believes what he's saying.
- 4:33Speaker 2: The Democrats have hated net Yahu from the beginning. They
- 4:37Speaker 2: despise him, they view him Democrats view Netanyahu as the
- 4:42Speaker 2: Israeli equivalent of Donald Trump, and they hate him with
- 4:45Speaker 2: a comparable fury. And much of that stems back to
- 4:49Speaker 2: when Barack Obama was president, and Obama pushed forward the
- 4:54Speaker 2: catastrophic Iran nuclear deal, and they tried to muscle all
- 5:01Speaker 2: of our allies into accepting it, and the Obama white
- 5:03Speaker 2: House tried to muscle Congressional Democrats into accepting it. Virtually
- 5:08Speaker 2: every single Congressional Democrat meekly knuckled under to the Obama
- 5:13Speaker 2: white House's pressure. And Benjamin Netanyah, who heroically stood up
- 5:18Speaker 2: and said, this is an existential threat to Israel, that
- 5:21Speaker 2: when the Ayatola says death to Israel, a nuclear Iran
- 5:26Speaker 2: poses a very real threat of a mushroom cloud over
- 5:30Speaker 2: Tehran or Jerusalem. And it is the one threat on
- 5:34Speaker 2: the face of the planet capable of once again murdering
- 5:38Speaker 2: six million Jews if never again is to mean anything. Netnyah,
- 5:42Speaker 2: who argued, rightly, we cannot allow Iran to have a
- 5:45Speaker 2: nuclear weapon. And I'll tell you Democrats have never forgiven
- 5:49Speaker 2: him for daring to stand up to the Obama White House.
- 5:54Speaker 2: And I remember at the time there was a Republican
- 5:58Speaker 2: House representative that invited Benjamin Netanya who to speak, to
- 6:02Speaker 2: address a joint session of Congress. I was there. I
- 6:05Speaker 2: heard that speech. It was an historic speech. It was
- 6:09Speaker 2: a speech that I described then and I still consider
- 6:11Speaker 2: to be Churchillian in terms of its clarity, in terms
- 6:15Speaker 2: of its strength, in terms of its unwillingness to knuckle under.
- 6:20Speaker 2: And yet even back then, multiple Democrats boycotted the speech,
- 6:24Speaker 2: refused even to listen to the elected Prime Minister of Israel. Well,
- 6:30Speaker 2: that hatred is real. That's one thing that's going on.
- 6:33Speaker 2: But then a second thing that's going on that is
- 6:36Speaker 2: in many ways even more concerning, is the Democrat party,
- 6:40Speaker 2: day by day by day, is turning against Israel. If
- 6:43Speaker 2: you look at polling numbers now among Democrats, if you
- 6:46Speaker 2: ask Democrats whom do you support, Israel or the Palestinians,
- 6:51Speaker 2: the numbers are growing every single day of Democrats who say,
- 6:55Speaker 2: we're with the Palestinians. And here's the dirty little sea.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Some people are saying, well, it's just the squad, it's
- 7:03Speaker 2: just the radical anti Semites. On the far left of
- 7:06Speaker 2: the Democrat Party. They're the ones doing it, and the
- 7:09Speaker 2: crazies on college campuses. I'll tell you, Bennett's a lot
- 7:12Speaker 2: more concerning than that. It is the Biden Whitehouse. It
- 7:16Speaker 2: is Chuck Schumer, the self declared guardian of Israel, who
- 7:20Speaker 2: is the median of the Democratic Party, is steadily turning
- 7:25Speaker 2: against Israel. Here just play Schumer's comments on the floor yesterday.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Israeli side the US government should demand that Israel conduct
- 7:37Speaker 3: itself with a future two state solution in mind. We
- 7:40Speaker 3: should not be forced into a position of unequivocally supporting
- 7:45Speaker 3: the actions of an Israeli government that include biggots who
- 7:48Speaker 3: reject the idea of the Palestinian state. Israel is a democracy.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Five months into this conflict, it is clear that Israeli's
- 7:59Speaker 3: need to take stock of the situation and ask must
- 8:03Speaker 3: we change course at this critical juncture. I believe a
- 8:09Speaker 3: new election is the only way to allow for a
- 8:13Speaker 3: healthy and open decision making process about the future of
- 8:17Speaker 3: Israel at a time when so many Israelis have lost
- 8:21Speaker 3: their confidence in the vision and direction of their government.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I also believe a majority of the Israeli public will
- 8:29Speaker 3: recognize the need for change, and I believe that holding
- 8:32Speaker 3: a new election once the war starts to wind down
- 8:36Speaker 3: would give Israelis an opportunity to express their vision for
- 8:41Speaker 3: the post war future. Of course, the United States cannot
- 8:46Speaker 3: dictate the outcome of an election, nor should we try.
- 8:51Speaker 3: That is for the Israeli public to decide. A public
- 8:55Speaker 3: that I believe understands better than anybody that Israel cannot
- 9:00Speaker 3: hope to succeed as a pariah opposed by the rest
- 9:04Speaker 3: of the world. As a democracy. Israel has the right
- 9:09Speaker 3: to choose its own leaders, and we should let the
- 9:11Speaker 3: chips fall where they may. But the important thing is
- 9:15Speaker 3: that Israelis are given a choice. There needs to be
- 9:18Speaker 3: a fresh debate about the future of Israel after October seventh.
- 9:23Speaker 3: In my opinion, that is best accomplished by holding an election.
- 9:30Speaker 3: If President Prime Minister Netanyahu's current coalition remains in power
- 9:35Speaker 3: after the war begins to wind down and continues to
- 9:38Speaker 3: pursue dangerous and inflammatory policies that test existing US standards
- 9:43Speaker 3: for assistance, then the United States will have no choice
- 9:47Speaker 3: but to play a more active role in shaping Israeli
- 9:49Speaker 3: policy by using our leverage to change the present course
- 9:56Speaker 3: the United States bond with Israel is unbreakable, but if
- 9:59Speaker 3: extreme miscontinue to unduly influence Israeli policy, then the Administration
- 10:04Speaker 3: should use the tools at its disposal to make sure
- 10:07Speaker 3: our support for Israel is aligned with our broader goal
- 10:11Speaker 3: of achieving long term peace and stability in the region.
- 10:15Speaker 3: I believe this would make a lasting two two state
- 10:19Speaker 3: solution more likely.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Senator, you hear that. I mean, he's basically giving the
- 10:24Speaker 1: talking points for the Palestinian in hamas well.
- 10:28Speaker 2: He's giving the talking points for the left wing of
- 10:31Speaker 2: the Democrat Party. And let's stop for a second once
- 10:38Speaker 2: one line that Schumer says there. He says Israel is
- 10:41Speaker 2: a democracy, and that's true, and he says they need
- 10:44Speaker 2: to have an election. Well, they did have an election.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They had an election, and Benjamin Netanyahu was elected. He's
- 10:52Speaker 2: the elected leader. How would Schumer feel if net Yahoo
- 10:59Speaker 2: gave a speech and said America is a democracy and
- 11:03Speaker 2: they should call an election today to determine if Joe
- 11:06Speaker 2: Biden should still be president. That's what Schumer just said,
- 11:10Speaker 2: that he doesn't give a damn who the people of
- 11:13Speaker 2: Israel elected. Net Yaho is elected in a far and
- 11:16Speaker 2: square election. Nobody disputes that. It's just Chuck Schumer and
- 11:21Speaker 2: the rest of the Democrat Party doesn't like the choice
- 11:26Speaker 2: that the people of Israel made, and there is an
- 11:30Speaker 2: arrogance to if you listen to what he says. He
- 11:33Speaker 2: says there should be an immediate election, and then he
- 11:37Speaker 2: says if they elect net Yahoo again after we the
- 11:41Speaker 2: Democrats have told them not to, well then we should
- 11:45Speaker 2: use us power to force them to change their policy.
- 11:50Speaker 2: The absolute arrogance of that is stunning. And by the way,
- 11:55Speaker 2: you know, some people pretend, well Democrats, they just dislike
- 12:03Speaker 2: net and Yahoo. This is not directed at Israel. Well.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Benny Gantz from the opposing party in Israel, he put
- 12:11Speaker 2: out a statement yesterday. Here was Benny Gantz's statement quote.
- 12:15Speaker 2: The United States and Israel share common values and interests,
- 12:18Speaker 2: and the citizens of Israel profoundly cherish the clear stance
- 12:22Speaker 2: of the United States and support of Israel throughout these
- 12:25Speaker 2: trying times. The Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is a
- 12:28Speaker 2: friend of Israel, and, though he aired in his remarks,
- 12:33Speaker 2: plays an important role in assisting the State of Israel,
- 12:36Speaker 2: including during these difficult times. Israel is a robust democracy
- 12:41Speaker 2: and only its citizens will decide its future and leadership.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Any external interference on the matter is counterproductive and unacceptable.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Well what do you think Schumer was doing right there?
- 12:53Speaker 2: That's counterproductive and unacceptable. And so I mean that demonstrates
- 12:57Speaker 2: Look across the leadership in Israel, there is consensus that
- 13:04Speaker 2: Israel must defeat Hamas. You know, where there isn't consensus
- 13:08Speaker 2: in the Democrat Party. In the Democrat Party, and I
- 13:11Speaker 2: got to say, look, I serve with these guys. I'm
- 13:14Speaker 2: on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. When we have a hearing,
- 13:17Speaker 2: almost every Democrat all they go on and on about
- 13:21Speaker 2: is Gaza. We've got to save Gaza. We've got to
- 13:24Speaker 2: give relief to Gaza. It's as if October seventh didn't happen.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Understand where these Democrats are. October seventh was a grotesque
- 13:32Speaker 2: act of terrorism where Hamas terrorists murdered over twelve hundred people.
- 13:38Speaker 2: They raped and murdered children, They took over two hundred hostages.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It was the single worst mass murder of Jews since
- 13:46Speaker 2: the Holocaust. And the reaction of the American Democrat Party
- 13:51Speaker 2: is to pivot hard against Israel and want to reward
- 13:56Speaker 2: Hamas and their sponsor that nation of Iran for committing
- 14:02Speaker 2: that grotesque act of terror.
- 14:04Speaker 1: You know that, Mitch McConnell. And look, you've been critical
- 14:07Speaker 1: of McConnell. I've been critical of McConnell many times in
- 14:10Speaker 1: my life. He's stepping down from leadership. But I also
- 14:14Speaker 1: think you got to give credit when credit's due, and
- 14:17Speaker 1: Mitch McConnell ripped Chuck Schumer on the four of the Senate.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I think it's important we play this because this is
- 14:25Speaker 1: honestly one of I think the best moments of Mitch
- 14:29Speaker 1: McConnell's time in the Senate, unequivocally saying we stand with Israel,
- 14:34Speaker 1: but also calling out the radical left who is dictating
- 14:38Speaker 1: now the Democratic Party, masquerading his Democrats that are extremists
- 14:42Speaker 1: and radicals that are young, forcing them to the most
- 14:46Speaker 1: extreme viewpoints. Here is Mitch McConnell, in his own words.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Of Israel deserves an ally but actually like one. People
- 14:58Speaker 4: of Israel at home and in captivity deserve America's support,
- 15:07Speaker 4: and Israel's unity government and security cabinet deserve the difference
- 15:13Speaker 4: befitting a sovereign, democratic country. The primary obstacles the peace
- 15:21Speaker 4: in Israel's region or genocidal terrorists by Kamas and Palestinian
- 15:30Speaker 4: Islamic jihad who slaughter innocent people, and corrupt leaders of
- 15:38Speaker 4: the Palestinian authority who have repeatedly, repeatedly rejected peace deals
- 15:44Speaker 4: from multiple Israeli governments, and foreign observers who cannot keep
- 15:53Speaker 4: these clear distinctions ought to refrain from weighing in. It
- 16:03Speaker 4: is grotesque and hypocritical for Americans, who hyperventilate about foreign
- 16:10Speaker 4: interference in our own democracy to call for the removal
- 16:15Speaker 4: of the democratically elected leader of Israel. This is unprecedented.
- 16:22Speaker 4: We should not treat fellow democracies this way at all.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Things that upset left wing activists are not of Prime
- 16:30Speaker 4: Minister's policies. There is Israel's policies. Make no mistake. The
- 16:39Speaker 4: Democratic Party doesn't have an anti BV problem. It has
- 16:43Speaker 4: an anti Israel problem. Israel is not a colony of
- 16:49Speaker 4: America whose leaders serve at the pleasure of the party
- 16:55Speaker 4: in power in Washington. Only Israel's citizens should have a
- 17:01Speaker 4: say and who runs their government. This is the very
- 17:06Speaker 4: definition of democracy and sovereignty.
- 17:10Speaker 1: I mean Senaer you hear him there, He's spot on,
- 17:12Speaker 1: but he also reminds the history of like you think
- 17:15Speaker 1: it's easy. You think Israel just shows up and says
- 17:18Speaker 1: to the Palestinians who are back by Hamas, who are
- 17:20Speaker 1: back by Iran, Hey, let's have this, you know, kumbaya
- 17:23Speaker 1: moment of ceasefire here? Do we need to not remind
- 17:26Speaker 1: you of what just happened five months ago?
- 17:30Speaker 2: Well, and let me commend Mitch McConnell for those remarks,
- 17:33Speaker 2: because he didn't know Chuck Schumer was going to give
- 17:35Speaker 2: this speech. He was sitting there and just heard it,
- 17:37Speaker 2: and then he got up and that was his impromptu response.
- 17:41Speaker 2: And that was eloquent, it was powerful, it was effective.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And notice what Mitch said there, which is exactly what
- 17:49Speaker 2: you and I said at the beginning of this podcast.
- 17:52Speaker 2: The Democrats don't have an anti Beb policy. They have
- 17:56Speaker 2: an anti Israel problem. And it's not just the squad,
- 18:03Speaker 2: it is supposedly mainstream Democrats. And look, this troubles me.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I have been I was elected to the Senate twelve
- 18:10Speaker 2: years ago. When I first arrived at the Senate, I
- 18:13Speaker 2: resolved on day one to be the leading defender of
- 18:16Speaker 2: Israel in the Senate. I've worked hard to do that
- 18:18Speaker 2: every day since then. It is important for the US
- 18:23Speaker 2: Israel relationship to have bipartisan cooperation. It's important that Israel
- 18:28Speaker 2: not be just a partisan issue like so many other
- 18:31Speaker 2: issues are. I have to say, it is deeply saddening
- 18:36Speaker 2: and it is really dangerous that the Democrat Party today
- 18:41Speaker 2: does not resemble in any way, shape or form the
- 18:43Speaker 2: Democrat Party twelve years ago when I arrived in the Senate,
- 18:48Speaker 2: because the party as a whole is turning day by
- 18:53Speaker 2: day steadily more and more hostile to Israel. And I
- 18:56Speaker 2: got to say, and I don't mean this as hyperbole,
- 18:59Speaker 2: if you are a voter who cares about Israel, who
- 19:03Speaker 2: loves Israel. At this point, I genuinely do not know
- 19:07Speaker 2: how a voter who cares about and loves Israel could
- 19:10Speaker 2: cast a ballot for the Democrats. That that is fundamentally
- 19:15Speaker 2: inconsistent with where this Democrat Party is. And I'll tell
- 19:18Speaker 2: you likewise, there are fifty one Democrats in the Senate,
- 19:22Speaker 2: counting two who call themselves independent. Every one of them
- 19:28Speaker 2: should be asked, do you support Chuck Schumer attacking the
- 19:34Speaker 2: nation of Israel and demanding that the elected leader of
- 19:38Speaker 2: Israel step down? And in my view, every Democrat in
- 19:43Speaker 2: the Senate is responsible for it now. No one in
- 19:45Speaker 2: the press will ask them that question and they'll all
- 19:47Speaker 2: dodge it. But every Senate Democrat who is running for
- 19:51Speaker 2: reelection in November should be forced to decide. And the
- 19:55Speaker 2: sad thing is, I believe every one of them, all
- 19:58Speaker 2: of them will stand Schumer on this, that this is
- 20:01Speaker 2: where the party is, and that's really it is a
- 20:06Speaker 2: terrible development for Israel and it's a terrible development for America.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Well, let's give a little bit of a history lesson
- 20:14Speaker 1: here for people that may not remember all of the
- 20:18Speaker 1: and it's not that distant pass, but it's important, and
- 20:21Speaker 1: it was referenced there by Schumer. There have been quite
- 20:25Speaker 1: a few times where there were these quotes, these fires
- 20:28Speaker 1: and let's get along moments. Not once is an Israel
- 20:32Speaker 1: that's been the aggressor afterwards, every single time it's been
- 20:37Speaker 1: the terrorists that have gone after Israel. People forget what
- 20:42Speaker 1: it's like to live in Israel under the constant mirage
- 20:45Speaker 1: of rockets. They forget that every time they do a
- 20:48Speaker 1: deal that within weeks or months it's somebody on the
- 20:53Speaker 1: on the Palestinian side is trying to blow that deal
- 20:56Speaker 1: up figuratively literally, And they forget forget that Israel has
- 21:01Speaker 1: tried to live in peace in a defensive manner, not
- 21:04Speaker 1: offensive manner.
- 21:07Speaker 2: That's exactly right. You know. Many years ago, Goldameyer, who
- 21:11Speaker 2: was the former Prime Minister of Israel, said quote peace
- 21:15Speaker 2: will come to the Middle East when the Arabs will
- 21:18Speaker 2: love their children more than they hate us. And Goldimeyer
- 21:23Speaker 2: also said the following quote, If the Arabs put down
- 21:27Speaker 2: their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If
- 21:31Speaker 2: the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be
- 21:34Speaker 2: no more Israel. That is the simple reality that this
- 21:39Speaker 2: has been a war of aggression. It was not Israel
- 21:44Speaker 2: that launched this attack on October seventh, It was Hamas
- 21:49Speaker 2: it was directed at innocent civilians. I'll tell you I
- 21:53Speaker 2: have sat with the families of victims of murder on
- 21:59Speaker 2: October seventh, and of kidnapping victims. I have seen photographs,
- 22:05Speaker 2: horrible photographs. I sat recently and went through photograph after
- 22:09Speaker 2: photograph of women brutalized, violently raped, and sexually disfigured. Where
- 22:18Speaker 2: I mean, the brutality of it is horrific. And I
- 22:21Speaker 2: also watched nearly an hour of video footage of what
- 22:26Speaker 2: happened on October seventh. That footage I saw over one
- 22:30Speaker 2: hundred people murdered. Watch the footage of it. I've never
- 22:33Speaker 2: seen that before in my life. It is horrific and
- 22:36Speaker 2: stomach turning. And Israel is defending itself. And yet the
- 22:40Speaker 2: Democrat position today, they look at this battle and they
- 22:45Speaker 2: cannot bring themselves to say, Israel is on the side
- 22:49Speaker 2: of truth and righteousness and Hamas is on the side
- 22:54Speaker 2: of evil. This is civilization versus barbarism. And in the
- 22:58Speaker 2: Democrat Party, you are a priah for saying that, for
- 23:03Speaker 2: acknowledging that you look at you know, Joe Biden certainly
- 23:07Speaker 2: didn't say that during the State of the Union. Instead,
- 23:10Speaker 2: he said that his priority is to build an emergency
- 23:12Speaker 2: pier into Gaza. And by the way, Chuck Schumer says, well, gosh,
- 23:18Speaker 2: we won't stand with the bigots who don't want a
- 23:21Speaker 2: Palestinian state. Well, you know, it's interesting. There is a
- 23:23Speaker 2: Palestinian state. It's called Gaza. Gaza is governed by the Palestinians.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Israel does not have sovereignty over Gaza. Israel left Gaza,
- 23:33Speaker 2: they handed it over to the Palestinians said here, it's
- 23:35Speaker 2: all yours. The Palestinians had an election, you know, who
- 23:38Speaker 2: won the election in Gaza Hamas. It's curious why didn't
- 23:44Speaker 2: Chuck Schumer give a speech saying, the people, the Palestinians,
- 23:49Speaker 2: if you want peace, throw out Hamas. He didn't say that. Instead,
- 23:53Speaker 2: today's Democrat Party they direct their ire at the elected
- 23:59Speaker 2: leader of Israel. And it is grotesque.
- 24:02Speaker 1: You mentioned you watching that video. I last week was
- 24:05Speaker 1: asked to go to the Israeli Console and have a
- 24:09Speaker 1: meeting and an update on what's happening right now, specifically
- 24:15Speaker 1: with the number of people that are still being held
- 24:17Speaker 1: hostage as we speak. And there was a book that
- 24:21Speaker 1: we were able to look at and see the faces
- 24:25Speaker 1: of the people that are still being held hostage, that
- 24:27Speaker 1: you hope are alive, that you know are being kept
- 24:31Speaker 1: in unimaginable conditions, and we know that they have tortured
- 24:37Speaker 1: and raped and killed many of the hostages. But when
- 24:42Speaker 1: you look at these pictures center, and you and I
- 24:44Speaker 1: have talked about what that video looked like that you saw,
- 24:48Speaker 1: you look at these people and it is sad to
- 24:51Speaker 1: me that the media has not done a better job
- 24:53Speaker 1: of humanizing There were people in their upper eighties, yes,
- 24:59Speaker 1: who couldn't defend themselves against being abducted on that day.
- 25:02Speaker 2: There were somethings. There were infants and toddlers murdered and raped.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah, and there was the elderly that couldn't defend themselves
- 25:14Speaker 1: or even get out of their wheelchair. I mean they
- 25:16Speaker 1: were at the mercy of the attackers. And you look
- 25:19Speaker 1: at the people that they took hostage. They wanted nobody
- 25:24Speaker 1: in Israel to ever feel safe again. That's part of
- 25:27Speaker 1: the terrorism of that day. They wanted everyone to feel
- 25:32Speaker 1: like they could be next and that they were coming
- 25:34Speaker 1: for them as well. Like you said, whether it's toddlers
- 25:37Speaker 1: in their cribs or a nine year old great great grandmother.
- 25:42Speaker 1: They this was psychological warfare on the most grotesque and
- 25:46Speaker 1: horrific level. And it was pre planned and orchestrated. It
- 25:50Speaker 1: wasn't one madman. This was a terrorist organization that used
- 25:56Speaker 1: countless warriors to do this.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Well, and under stand, that's not one isolated event. Chuck
- 26:03Speaker 2: Schumer's disgraceful speech is not one isolated event. This is
- 26:08Speaker 2: comprehensive throughout the Biden administration and throughout Congressional Democrats. Just
- 26:14Speaker 2: in the last twenty four hours, Joe Biden and Biden administrations,
- 26:18Speaker 2: they gave a ran a ten billion dollar sanctions waiver
- 26:23Speaker 2: also in the last twenty.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Four I mean that, by the way, because it sounds complicated,
- 26:27Speaker 1: but I really think it's important that we explain this
- 26:29Speaker 1: what does that mean? Because we've already given them billions
- 26:31Speaker 1: in actual cash.
- 26:33Speaker 2: So I will, but I want to underscore just what's
- 26:36Speaker 2: happened in the last twenty four hours. In the last
- 26:38Speaker 2: twenty four hours, they gave a ran a ten billion
- 26:40Speaker 2: dollar sanctions waiver. They also the Biden administration directly sanctioned
- 26:46Speaker 2: Israeli Jews. They also said Israel's top priority should be
- 26:51Speaker 2: aiding gozzins, and the majority leader of the Senate demanded
- 26:58Speaker 2: the overthrow of Israel's Democrat elected government in the middle
- 27:02Speaker 2: of a war. All of that happened within twenty four hours.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Now you ask what happened with the sanctions, Well, the
- 27:09Speaker 2: Biden administration on Wednesday reapproved a sanctions waiver that unlocks
- 27:15Speaker 2: ten billion dollars in frozen funds for the Iranian government.
- 27:19Speaker 2: And this was according to a notice submitted to Congress
- 27:23Speaker 2: late Wednesday. The sanctions waiver allows Iraq to transfer electricity
- 27:30Speaker 2: payments to Iran via third party countries. The sanctions waiver
- 27:35Speaker 2: was last approved by the Biden administration in November, and
- 27:38Speaker 2: it was set to expire this month, but they just
- 27:42Speaker 2: reissued that waiver. So get this. Iran funded Hamas ninety
- 27:49Speaker 2: percent of Hamas is funded by Iran. Iran funds Hesbela,
- 27:53Speaker 2: ninety percent of Hesbela is funded by Iran. Iran is
- 27:57Speaker 2: actively attackings, Iran is funding the whu thies. Iran is
- 28:04Speaker 2: attacking American soldiers. And what does Joe Biden do? He
- 28:07Speaker 2: gives Iran ten billion dollars And that is this week
- 28:11Speaker 2: after October seventh, after Americans have been targeted over and
- 28:16Speaker 2: over and over again. Let me ask you this, seriously, Ben,
- 28:20Speaker 2: how does one even mount an argument that giving ten
- 28:24Speaker 2: billion dollars to an iatola who repeatedly chants death to
- 28:29Speaker 2: America is in any way, shape or form in the
- 28:32Speaker 2: interest of the United States of America.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not. And yet that's exactly what they're doing.
- 28:41Speaker 2: And understand also that the antipathy to Israel and to
- 28:45Speaker 2: net Yahoo it's not new. Look. When net Yahoo was elected,
- 28:54Speaker 2: Biden refused to call him. It took enormous public pressure
- 28:57Speaker 2: for him to call him. Biden, has I will not
- 29:00Speaker 2: welcome Netanyahu to the White House. He said, net Yaho
- 29:03Speaker 2: is not welcome in the Biden White House. Mind you,
- 29:06Speaker 2: this was long before October seventh. This was long before
- 29:10Speaker 2: his alleged concerns about Gaza and contrasts that to how
- 29:15Speaker 2: Biden treats Lula. Lula is an anti American, pro Iran thug,
- 29:22Speaker 2: the leader of Brazil. When Lula was elected, Biden called
- 29:27Speaker 2: him immediately, He congratulated me, invited Lula to the White House.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Enemies of America. Here's what Biden tweeted when Lula was
- 29:34Speaker 2: at the White House. It was great sitting down with
- 29:37Speaker 2: my friend and partner in democracy. It is bizarre if
- 29:43Speaker 2: you're an enemy of America, Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer
- 29:48Speaker 2: they like you, and if you are a friend of America,
- 29:51Speaker 2: especially if you are Israel, they actively undermine you at
- 29:56Speaker 2: every step.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Final question on this for you, I believe this is
- 30:02Speaker 1: not just should be one of the top issues of
- 30:06Speaker 1: this election cycle coming up. I actually believe this is
- 30:09Speaker 1: one of the top issues of our lifetime. How do
- 30:15Speaker 1: conservative candidates explain this and do a better job of
- 30:20Speaker 1: explaining the history of Israel, especially because if you look
- 30:24Speaker 1: at the polling. It's so concerning to me how many
- 30:28Speaker 1: people thirty five and under are standing now with terrorists
- 30:32Speaker 1: over Israel. We've got to change the conversation to let
- 30:36Speaker 1: them understand this. How did we lose so easily, so quickly,
- 30:41Speaker 1: an entire generation to stand with Israel instead of standing
- 30:44Speaker 1: with a terrorists? And what candidates need to do and
- 30:47Speaker 1: how do they need to talk about this?
- 30:49Speaker 2: So how did we lose? We lost the universities, we
- 30:51Speaker 2: lost K through twelve, We lost the media, we lost entertainment,
- 30:55Speaker 2: we lost social media. Young people are barraged with propaga
- 31:00Speaker 2: and the propaganda is is telling them lies. Look. I
- 31:05Speaker 2: was just just a couple of days ago in the airport.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I was standing in Chicago getting on a plane to
- 31:10Speaker 2: fly back to DC, and this young leftist began berating
- 31:15Speaker 2: me and filming And it's interesting he hadn't put it online.
- 31:16Speaker 2: I really actually hope he puts it online. But berating
- 31:19Speaker 2: me saying, why do you stand for genocide? Well, why
- 31:22Speaker 2: do you stand for Israel committing genocide? And I and
- 31:26Speaker 2: I happily engaged him, and I said, I stand on
- 31:28Speaker 2: equivocally with Israel and understand you are on the side
- 31:32Speaker 2: of murderers and terrorists, and who torture and rape little children,
- 31:38Speaker 2: and who rape women. You are standing on the side
- 31:41Speaker 2: of evil, and Israel is right to utterly defeat Hamas
- 31:46Speaker 2: because they are evil. And he just kept going on
- 31:50Speaker 2: and on and on and about no, no, no, and
- 31:51Speaker 2: he said all of that has been debunked. This is
- 31:54Speaker 2: a guy I don't know. He's about twenty five years old.
- 31:56Speaker 2: He was a young leftist who said it's been debunked.
- 31:59Speaker 2: October seventh, that that that Hamas committed those murders and
- 32:03Speaker 2: raped he claimed has been debunked. And I said, you know,
- 32:06Speaker 2: I'm really sorry that you're a young man who's just
- 32:09Speaker 2: been lied to and deluded. I said, I've seen the videos,
- 32:13Speaker 2: I saw what happened that day, but but he happily
- 32:17Speaker 2: believes it. And I couldn't help. But but turn to
- 32:20Speaker 2: him and say, you know, I have to I have
- 32:22Speaker 2: to assume if this were World War two, you'd be
- 32:25Speaker 2: rooting for the Nazis. And he got offended at that,
- 32:29Speaker 2: and he said, I'm actually Jewish American. And I just
- 32:32Speaker 2: shook my head and walked away. But but there are people,
- 32:36Speaker 2: there are young people who've just been lied to they're
- 32:40Speaker 2: ignorant and they have been buffeted with propaganda. Look, it's
- 32:46Speaker 2: one of the reasons for this podcast is we're trying
- 32:51Speaker 2: to give people the truth it is. Yeah, the lines
- 32:57Speaker 2: here that this is not gray, it is black and
- 33:00Speaker 2: white between genocidal mass murderers and people defending innocent civilians.
- 33:07Speaker 2: You shouldn't be on the fence with which one you stand.
- 33:11Speaker 2: You shouldn't be be seeking some moral relativity of well,
- 33:15Speaker 2: they're both.
- 33:16Speaker 1: In the wrong.
- 33:17Speaker 2: No, No, there is nothing good. There is nothing redeemable
- 33:21Speaker 2: about people who murder little children, who kidnap little children,
- 33:25Speaker 2: who rape women, who do it in a degrading, animalistic way.
- 33:29Speaker 2: That is who Hamas is. And Israel has every right
- 33:33Speaker 2: to defend itself. And I got to say it, really,
- 33:39Speaker 2: it worries me. To the best of my knowledge, I
- 33:45Speaker 2: have not seen a single Democrat senator denounce what Chuck
- 33:48Speaker 2: Schumer did yesterday. Maybe it's happened and I haven't seen it.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Yeah, which is not one?
- 33:54Speaker 2: Not one? And so and listen, I know a lot
- 33:58Speaker 2: of people who are voters that still want to vote Democrat,
- 34:03Speaker 2: and they have other issues they care about and they
- 34:05Speaker 2: think about and they try to rationalize no, it's just AOC,
- 34:09Speaker 2: it's just o mar just the squad. This was the
- 34:13Speaker 2: Democratic leader in the United States Senate. And by the way,
- 34:19Speaker 2: it was Joe Biden. So Joe Biden who just gave
- 34:23Speaker 2: ten billion dollars to Iran. Now after October seven, and
- 34:28Speaker 2: I mentioned a minute ago the sanctions on Israel. Yesterday
- 34:33Speaker 2: the Biden administration put even more sanctions, but they only
- 34:38Speaker 2: applied it to Jews. They sanctioned for Jews yesterday. And
- 34:42Speaker 2: I recently questioned Biden's nominee to be sanctions are and
- 34:47Speaker 2: he's been in charge of sanctions, and there was an
- 34:48Speaker 2: executive order that is essentially targeting Jews, and he claimed
- 34:54Speaker 2: and basically they want to make it illegal to be
- 34:56Speaker 2: Jewish and living in Judaea and Samara. And he said, well, no, no, no,
- 35:02Speaker 2: it doesn't target Jews. And so I asked him, I said, well,
- 35:06Speaker 2: have you sanctioned any Palestinians who are supporting terrorism in
- 35:09Speaker 2: the West Bank? And he said, well, no, they haven't.
- 35:12Speaker 2: And then after the hearing you walked out and they
- 35:15Speaker 2: sanctioned even more Jews. This is prevalent throughout the administration
- 35:20Speaker 2: and it is becoming the position of Congressional Democrats.
