- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdict with Ted Cruz. Wee can review
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you. And here are the big stories
- 0:06Speaker 1: that we talked about this week that you may have missed.
- 0:08Speaker 1: First up, it was an incredible morale booster for the
- 0:12Speaker 1: American military and their capabilities to rescue the two down
- 0:15Speaker 1: pilots in Iran.
- 0:17Speaker 2: What went into all of it, we explain it.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Second up, Democrats accused Donald Trump of war crimes if
- 0:24Speaker 1: he does something they say he's not allowed to do.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We'll explain that.
- 0:28Speaker 1: And finally, yet again, another illegal alien led into this
- 0:33Speaker 1: country and the Biden administration commits a violent murder and
- 0:37Speaker 1: will it ever stop? It's the weekend review and it
- 0:40Speaker 1: starts right now. You know, several people that I talked
- 0:43Speaker 1: to that are in the military over the last couple
- 0:45Speaker 1: of days, they were really worried about the airman who
- 0:49Speaker 1: has gone missing because they were like they knew what
- 0:51Speaker 1: was going to happen to him. If he was caught
- 0:54Speaker 1: by the IRGC, by these militias, he was a dead man,
- 0:58Speaker 1: and they were going to do it in a horrific
- 1:00Speaker 1: way and probably film it and put it out there
- 1:02Speaker 1: as propaganda to the world. And that was what they
- 1:05Speaker 1: were all concerned with. They also said to me and
- 1:08Speaker 1: and text messages on Easter Sunday, I want you to understand,
- 1:12Speaker 1: they said, the morale booster of seeing that you have
- 1:15Speaker 1: a commander in chief who says, I do not care
- 1:19Speaker 1: what it costs.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I don't get it.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Go get them, Go get them, and use everything, stop everything,
- 1:28Speaker 1: and use everything to go get one man. And then
- 1:31Speaker 1: we'll go back to what we're doing. But whatever it takes,
- 1:34Speaker 1: there is nothing I'm going to say no to. And
- 1:36Speaker 1: they said, they said to me, they said, been it's
- 1:38Speaker 1: been a long time since men and women in uniform
- 1:42Speaker 1: have felt that they have a commander in chief who
- 1:44Speaker 1: truly has their back in this way. One of the
- 1:47Speaker 1: things they said that was I also thought was very
- 1:49Speaker 1: interesting and I'm going to look it up now.
- 1:51Speaker 2: See you looked up saying earlier.
- 1:52Speaker 1: But it was a quote and I want to quote
- 1:55Speaker 1: this because it was so it was so important what
- 1:58Speaker 1: this individual said. That's serving as he said, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: go look at the comparison to Bill Quinton and what
- 2:04Speaker 1: he did with American troops in Somalia. Yeah, he said,
- 2:07Speaker 1: look at Barack Obama and what he did with Americans
- 2:09Speaker 1: in Libya. Look at Joe Biden, who abandoned thirteen US
- 2:12Speaker 1: soldiers in Afghanistan. Trump moved mountains to rescue one American
- 2:17Speaker 1: in Iran, one American. And if you're an American soldier
- 2:20Speaker 1: right now, how fired up for you to serve Donald
- 2:22Speaker 1: Trump knowing he's genuinely got your back.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Well, let me be clear, you're serving the United States,
- 2:28Speaker 3: You're not serving Donald Trump. But agreat your commander in
- 2:32Speaker 3: chief has you're back, and that's a powerful thing. And
- 2:36Speaker 3: by the way, it's not just you and me saying that,
- 2:39Speaker 3: it's also Barack Obama's former Secretary of Homeland Security. Listen
- 2:43Speaker 3: to Jay Johnson talking about this incredible.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Rescue, this operation for the first pilot, in this second pilot,
- 2:52Speaker 4: it's a remarkable exercise demonstration of US military courage technology.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I would encourage the President and the Secretary of Defense,
- 3:03Speaker 4: consistent with operational security, share as much of that with
- 3:07Speaker 4: the American public so that the American public can appreciate
- 3:10Speaker 4: what goes into this kind of operation was more complicated
- 3:13Speaker 4: than the bin laden operation. For example.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Wow, I'm not.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Sure any of that saying something that's coming from Jay Johnson.
- 3:20Speaker 1: That's pretty incredible.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it is, and I want to drill down a
- 3:25Speaker 3: little bit more on what this does for the fighting
- 3:28Speaker 3: spirit and the morale of the entire military. And actually
- 3:32Speaker 3: a different tweet but I thought very profound as well,
- 3:36Speaker 3: from a fellow named John Conrad on X. Here's what
- 3:38Speaker 3: he said, this is why Americans are the deadliest fighters
- 3:42Speaker 3: on Earth. I met a priest yesterday who just got
- 3:44Speaker 3: accepted to chaplain school in Newport. I asked him the
- 3:47Speaker 3: obvious question, Marines or Navy Navy? He said, his face
- 3:52Speaker 3: fell a little. He told me he could never be
- 3:55Speaker 3: a marine because every marine is a rifleman, and as
- 3:57Speaker 3: a priest, he can't carry a weapon. Hoping to get
- 4:00Speaker 3: a sign to a marine unit. Anyway, all chaplains are
- 4:03Speaker 3: Navy officers, so that's the only door in. I laughed,
- 4:06Speaker 3: I feel a little bad about that. Then I explained
- 4:09Speaker 3: to him what devil doc means. The Marine Corps doesn't
- 4:13Speaker 3: have medics. They use Navy cormen. I told him, when
- 4:17Speaker 3: you get out to the fleet, find a marine sergeant
- 4:20Speaker 3: with a couple of purple hearts and tell him devil
- 4:23Speaker 3: docks aren't real. Marines be prepared to duck. Marines are
- 4:30Speaker 3: violently particular about who gets to wear their uniform. Navy
- 4:34Speaker 3: cormen and Navy chaplains who have eaten dirt alongside them
- 4:38Speaker 3: in combat qualify full stop. My dad was air Force,
- 4:43Speaker 3: not even Navy. I remember going to VFW Hall's with
- 4:46Speaker 3: him as a kid. Someone would ask him what service.
- 4:48Speaker 3: He'd say Air Force. In the room would chuckle a little,
- 4:51Speaker 3: and then they'd find out he was a medic and
- 4:53Speaker 3: the air in the room changed something close to reverence.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Dad hated being honored. He had one line he used
- 5:01Speaker 3: to deflect it. I didn't do much savior praise for
- 5:05Speaker 3: my cousin. The PJ that always broke the ice. Pjs
- 5:09Speaker 3: are the Air Force special operators who go into hell
- 5:12Speaker 3: to pull downed pilots out. They will take casualties and
- 5:17Speaker 3: are prepared to die to rescue a single pilot or crewman.
- 5:22Speaker 3: The math doesn't math out why would any combat force
- 5:26Speaker 3: take multiple casualties to wreck rescue one Air Force jet jockey.
- 5:32Speaker 3: What the padre is about to learn is that the
- 5:34Speaker 3: military has a hierarchy that has nothing to do with
- 5:37Speaker 3: rank and nothing to do with the service stitched on
- 5:40Speaker 3: your chest. Have you deployed, have you seen combat in
- 5:45Speaker 3: every firefight, there are men who move towards the guns
- 5:48Speaker 3: and men who hang back. And when the guy at
- 5:50Speaker 3: the tip of the spear is pinned down, bleeding with
- 5:53Speaker 3: rounds cracking past his head, there is exactly one word,
- 5:57Speaker 3: he screams into the radio medic. YEP, here's the catch,
- 6:03Speaker 3: and it is the whole reason America fights the way
- 6:06Speaker 3: America fights. That marine is willing to push forward into
- 6:10Speaker 3: fire because he knows the core men is coming. He
- 6:15Speaker 3: knows the Metavac birds will land in the hot LZ.
- 6:19Speaker 3: He knows the devil doc will drag him out by
- 6:21Speaker 3: his plate carrier if it comes to that, and if
- 6:24Speaker 3: the medic can't help he has what Dad called injuries
- 6:28Speaker 3: incompatible with life. He knows that chaplain will crawl on
- 6:34Speaker 3: his belly to administer last rites and deliver him to Heaven.
- 6:40Speaker 3: The f F fifteen pilot punching out over enemy territory knows
- 6:44Speaker 3: the same thing. He knows the pjs will move Heaven
- 6:47Speaker 3: and Earth to reach him and turn whatever is shooting
- 6:50Speaker 3: at him into a smoking crater of hell on Earth
- 6:54Speaker 3: on the way in. This is the quiet math underneath
- 6:59Speaker 3: American violence. Our warriors are the fiercest on Earth, not
- 7:03Speaker 3: because they're the more aggressive, not because they're better trained
- 7:06Speaker 3: or better equipped, although though they are all of those things,
- 7:10Speaker 3: they are the fiercest because they know in their bones
- 7:14Speaker 3: that when they key the mic and call for help,
- 7:16Speaker 3: help is coming in hot. Take that away, and you
- 7:20Speaker 3: don't have the US military anymore, you have a security force.
- 7:24Speaker 3: I thought that those two posts I thought were very insightful,
- 7:28Speaker 3: and they sum up a truly extraordinary and unique aspect
- 7:36Speaker 3: of the American military.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And this brings us to the second part of the
- 7:40Speaker 1: conversation that is important, and that is a new warning
- 7:44Speaker 1: center coming from President Trump. If there's anything that I've
- 7:49Speaker 1: learned from President Trump on the second term, there's two
- 7:52Speaker 1: aspects of his foreign policy. One is FAFO and two
- 7:56Speaker 1: is if you're an OWI of the United States of
- 7:58Speaker 1: America and you don't stand with it, then his second
- 8:01Speaker 1: foreign policy is, well, good luck to you, because we're
- 8:03Speaker 1: not gonna we're not gonna keep funding and doing things
- 8:06Speaker 1: like NATO. Are you in or whatever it may be,
- 8:08Speaker 1: if you're taking advantage of us. He's calling that out
- 8:11Speaker 1: as well. And the President has made it clear when
- 8:14Speaker 1: he tells you there's a deadline for something he means it.
- 8:18Speaker 1: There's a new deadline with it with Iran and Tehran
- 8:22Speaker 1: and the leadership there, and let's talk about what his
- 8:24Speaker 1: new threat is by Tuesday.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Well, on Sunday, he sent out a truth Social that reads,
- 8:31Speaker 3: Tuesday will be power plant Day and Bridge Day all
- 8:38Speaker 3: wrapped up in one in Iran. There will be nothing
- 8:43Speaker 3: like it. Oping open the effen straight, you crazy bastards,
- 8:50Speaker 3: or you'll be living in hell. Just watch Praise Be
- 8:55Speaker 3: to Allah President Donald J.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Trump.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Now, I will say he did not abbreviatefing, but this
- 9:02Speaker 3: is a PG rated podcast, so I did. I will
- 9:06Speaker 3: say also that after he sent that truth Social, the
- 9:09Speaker 3: Wall Street Journal article that I quoted at the beginning
- 9:12Speaker 3: of this show quotes it. And for the first time
- 9:15Speaker 3: I've ever seen the F bomb in the Wall Street Journal,
- 9:18Speaker 3: they did it quoting the President of the United States.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I'm not aware of any precedent of a president dropping
- 9:24Speaker 3: the F bomb, But then again, I'm not aware of
- 9:26Speaker 3: any president dropping the level of bombs that he is
- 9:29Speaker 3: dropping in a concentrated focus that is having this kind
- 9:33Speaker 3: of effect. And look, I think Tuesday night is a
- 9:38Speaker 3: very serious deadline. The president wants the straight of horn
- 9:41Speaker 3: moves open. And if you're an Iranian leader as batcrap
- 9:47Speaker 3: crazy as those guys are, I don't think they think
- 9:50Speaker 3: this is a bluff.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I would think not now they are crazy enough
- 9:55Speaker 1: to just say go ahead and do it. And that
- 9:57Speaker 1: may be how much they're holding on for dear life
- 10:00Speaker 1: just to try to stave control. But I agree with you,
- 10:02Speaker 1: I don't think they think he's bluffing at all.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Well, and that's the challenge is that the Malas, I
- 10:10Speaker 3: don't think care at all about their people. You know,
- 10:13Speaker 3: we talked to before about comparing, say, the Nazi army
- 10:17Speaker 3: to the Allies during World War Two, that Hitler was
- 10:19Speaker 3: willing to send German soldiers in to die and just
- 10:22Speaker 3: have a mode over. I think the same is true
- 10:26Speaker 3: with the Malas. They're happy to have, not happy, but
- 10:29Speaker 3: they're willing to have as many Iranians die as need be.
- 10:33Speaker 3: They believe they're on a mission from God. This is
- 10:39Speaker 3: it is theocratic and if thousands, look, they murdered the
- 10:44Speaker 3: Ayatola just murdered about forty thousand Iranians who were rising
- 10:47Speaker 3: up in protest, So thousands of Iranians dying doesn't bother
- 10:52Speaker 3: them at all. Tens of thousands doesn't bother them at all.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It may prove to be the case that hundreds of
- 10:57Speaker 3: thousands or even millions of Iranians dying doesn't bother them.
- 11:01Speaker 3: And so the question is, look, if the US military
- 11:05Speaker 3: takes out the power plants and takes out the bridges,
- 11:08Speaker 3: that kind of hard infrastructure that doesn't get rebuilt overnight,
- 11:13Speaker 3: that has real and long lasting damage to the economy
- 11:19Speaker 3: in Iran. It imposes enormous consequences on Iran. What I
- 11:24Speaker 3: don't know is does a theocratic mulla who's chanting death
- 11:29Speaker 3: to America care about inflicting massive misery on the Iranian
- 11:35Speaker 3: people and devastating the Iranian economy. I guess we'll find
- 11:38Speaker 3: out by Tuesday. I don't know the answer.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You know what's interesting is I was asked this question
- 11:42Speaker 1: over the weekend, and it's when I want to ask
- 11:44Speaker 1: you center. It was someone to right, well, look, let's
- 11:47Speaker 1: say we do this and we knock out their power plant.
- 11:50Speaker 1: What good does that do is because then we're just
- 11:51Speaker 1: going to have to help them rebuild it one day.
- 11:53Speaker 1: My response was, what you don't understand is that may
- 11:57Speaker 1: be what it is it takes for the people to
- 12:00Speaker 1: really overthrow their government. It'll also have a devastating impact
- 12:03Speaker 1: on their military in general. And it's another way, it's
- 12:07Speaker 1: another way to fast track them losing control of their country.
- 12:10Speaker 1: That's the reason why I think the President saying, all right, fine,
- 12:13Speaker 1: you guys aren't budging, well, then we're going to go
- 12:15Speaker 1: to the next step here, because I'm not backing down.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and and and look, the President in his nationwide
- 12:21Speaker 3: address said he was going to bomb them back into
- 12:23Speaker 3: the Stone Ages. What's one of the aspects of the
- 12:26Speaker 3: Stone Ages not having electricity, not having power? Going back
- 12:29Speaker 3: to to to lighting fires for light. You take out
- 12:33Speaker 3: all their power plants and they have no electricity, which
- 12:36Speaker 3: is amazing for an oil rich country like Iran. But
- 12:40Speaker 3: you want to talk about grinding the economy to a halt,
- 12:43Speaker 3: immediately grinding the military to a halt. Everything runs on
- 12:47Speaker 3: electricity and and and so shutting down power and by
- 12:52Speaker 3: the way, you take out the bridges, that means you know,
- 12:54Speaker 3: it's one of the things that I've learned. I didn't
- 12:56Speaker 3: realize when I was a kid how much of military
- 12:59Speaker 3: effectiveness is logistics. One of the incredible things our military
- 13:03Speaker 3: is really good at is moving people in material, getting
- 13:07Speaker 3: it in there, getting ammunition in there, getting food in there,
- 13:10Speaker 3: getting fuel in there, moving it around, all of that. Logistically,
- 13:16Speaker 3: we are extraordinarily we the military. That not you and me.
- 13:19Speaker 3: You know, I'm a lawyer and you're even worser a podcasts,
- 13:22Speaker 3: so we are not extraordinary logistically, But but the military is.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Notice how I'm not a podcaster. Apparently you do this just.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say, you just just threw
- 13:32Speaker 1: me under the bus, so that I'm pretty sure the
- 13:34Speaker 1: name of the show is behind me there.
- 13:35Speaker 2: But we just keep going, there, we go.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, pot meat kettle. But look, you take
- 13:43Speaker 3: out the bridges and the ability to move, the military
- 13:45Speaker 3: to move, but anyone else to move, you basically shut
- 13:48Speaker 3: down commerce in the country. That puts enormous economic pressure
- 13:53Speaker 3: on the country. Look, my hope is that the endgame
- 13:58Speaker 3: on this is the people right up and say enough
- 14:01Speaker 3: with these crazy malas. We want you out. And my
- 14:06Speaker 3: objective has always been the President laid out his objective,
- 14:09Speaker 3: which is to eliminate the Iranian military's ability to strike
- 14:12Speaker 3: out and kill Americans or kill our allies. That's a
- 14:14Speaker 3: very important objective. I think the objective should be to
- 14:18Speaker 3: collapse this regime, to have Iran led by a government
- 14:23Speaker 3: that is not a crazy islabist who wants to murder Americans.
- 14:27Speaker 3: I don't care who it is, as long as they're
- 14:29Speaker 3: not actively murdering Americans, if they're not murdering Americans, if
- 14:32Speaker 3: they're not trying to murder Americans, I'm good with it. Now,
- 14:35Speaker 3: the next step, if we've leveled all the power plants,
- 14:39Speaker 3: you get a new government in the new government is
- 14:41Speaker 3: going to have to rebuild the power plants. Now, I
- 14:44Speaker 3: will note that there is one advantage for rebuilding, which
- 14:47Speaker 3: is Iran has a crap ton of oil.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and so very quickly financially.
- 14:54Speaker 3: There's a revenue stream. So you said, like people said
- 14:57Speaker 3: to you, well, gosh, we're going to have to rebuild it.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I promise you if Trump bombs it, the American taxpayers
- 15:03Speaker 3: are not rebuilding it. That there is no scenario in
- 15:06Speaker 3: which the endgame is Trump writing a check. Now, there
- 15:09Speaker 3: may be a scenario depending on what happens where when
- 15:12Speaker 3: you have a new government, if they're a friend and
- 15:13Speaker 3: ally with America, you could see assistance on the construction
- 15:19Speaker 3: that is paid for by Iranian oil revenues. It's possible
- 15:22Speaker 3: that we help them build it back where they're paying
- 15:25Speaker 3: for it. But I don't envision any universe in which
- 15:29Speaker 3: America is paying for this, and I think anyone who
- 15:32Speaker 3: knows Donald Trump knows that's right now.
- 15:35Speaker 1: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
- 15:37Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
- 15:39Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two, let
- 15:44Speaker 1: me ask you another question that's gotten a lot of
- 15:47Speaker 1: fodder online, and I think it's an important one to answer.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Democrats and the media really seem to be trying to
- 15:53Speaker 1: figure out some way, even if there's success with this
- 15:56Speaker 1: Iranian policy of Trump, that they can stick it to
- 15:59Speaker 1: Donald Trum. And now, the new thing over the last
- 16:01Speaker 1: twenty four to forty eight hour has been Donald Trump
- 16:04Speaker 1: is advocating for committing war crimes by blowing up bridges
- 16:08Speaker 1: potentially in Iran and power plants in Iran. Let's talk
- 16:12Speaker 1: about the war crimes aspect of this and deal with
- 16:16Speaker 1: what Americans need to know about this new line by
- 16:18Speaker 1: the left, because they, I mean, they care more about
- 16:22Speaker 1: Donald Trump being in trouble than actually taking out a
- 16:24Speaker 1: murderer's regime in Iran.
- 16:26Speaker 3: That's true, and I will say one of the sad things.
- 16:29Speaker 3: It used to be the case for a long long
- 16:30Speaker 3: time that that politics ended at the water's edge, in
- 16:34Speaker 3: other words, that that Republicans and Democrats battle here at
- 16:38Speaker 3: home over all sorts of issues, but when it comes
- 16:40Speaker 3: to military conflict abroad, when it comes to defending America,
- 16:44Speaker 3: that the two sides refrained from partisan attack. I got
- 16:48Speaker 3: to say that is not the case anymore. The instant
- 16:51Speaker 3: President Trump launched this attack, Democrats began savaging him. You know,
- 16:56Speaker 3: we had a classified briefly short shortly after the beginning
- 16:59Speaker 3: of the of this attack, where you had the Secretary
- 17:02Speaker 3: of State, Secretary Defense, chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the
- 17:04Speaker 3: head of the CIA, kind of all the top national
- 17:07Speaker 3: security apparatus, and the Trump administration and all one hundred
- 17:13Speaker 3: senators attended that and they were laying out what was happening.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And look, I'm not going to say anything that was
- 17:19Speaker 3: said by the briefers in the classified briefing, but I
- 17:21Speaker 3: can tell you, other than John Fetterman, who has been
- 17:24Speaker 3: very positive on what he said publicly about about the
- 17:28Speaker 3: conflict with Iran, every single Democrat senator in the room
- 17:32Speaker 3: was highly, highly skeptical was attacking what happened was opposing
- 17:36Speaker 3: what happened was started on day one with we are
- 17:42Speaker 3: against standing up to Iran, and I sat there and
- 17:46Speaker 3: just kind of shook my head. I was saddened by that.
- 17:49Speaker 3: And so one of their talking points when President Trump
- 17:52Speaker 3: said he was going to take out power plants and bridges,
- 17:54Speaker 3: and why did he say power plants and bridges. By
- 17:56Speaker 3: the way, Look, the biggest thing to take out for
- 17:59Speaker 3: Iran is there a production facility carg Island, which is
- 18:02Speaker 3: the key to where they export virtually all they're oil from, yep,
- 18:06Speaker 3: carg Island. If we really wanted to cripple Iran and
- 18:09Speaker 3: put them into the Stone Age, we'd take out their
- 18:13Speaker 3: their oil facilities. We'd bomb the hell out of carg Island,
- 18:16Speaker 3: and Iran's economy would just be screwed for a decade.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, instantly.
- 18:22Speaker 1: By the way, people need to understand that, Like, if
- 18:24Speaker 1: you just wanted to decimate them economically, that is how
- 18:26Speaker 1: you would do it, and it would not be that hard.
- 18:29Speaker 3: So Trump very deliberately has not done that. The reason
- 18:33Speaker 3: he said power plants and bridges is because they're critically
- 18:37Speaker 3: important to the economy. You take out the power plants,
- 18:40Speaker 3: the electricity turns off. The military is crippled, but also
- 18:43Speaker 3: the economy is crippled. The basic all of banking, all
- 18:45Speaker 3: of communication. Lights Literally at night, people start lighting candles
- 18:49Speaker 3: because there's no longer the light switches don't work. And
- 18:53Speaker 3: bridges are essential for transportation, both military and commercial transportation
- 18:59Speaker 3: across the county. I think the reason he picked those
- 19:02Speaker 3: two is their enormous lever points, and his hope is
- 19:07Speaker 3: that it would cause the collapse of this regime, I believe.
- 19:11Speaker 3: But also it means if there were a new government
- 19:14Speaker 3: in Iran, the oil facilities would still be there, so
- 19:17Speaker 3: they have the ability to generate billions in revenue pretty quickly,
- 19:21Speaker 3: and that billions. If the United States military took out
- 19:25Speaker 3: the power infrastructure, if you had billions in oil revenue
- 19:28Speaker 3: coming in, you could rebuild. It wouldn't be immediate, but
- 19:32Speaker 3: having the revenue stream makes rebuilding much more possible than
- 19:35Speaker 3: if you take out the oil infrastructure. The revenue stream
- 19:39Speaker 3: is much further down the road and it's much harder
- 19:42Speaker 3: to turn around. I think that's why I picked it.
- 19:44Speaker 3: But I will say we're getting a lot of pompous
- 19:47Speaker 3: democrats and pompous news reporters, although I repeat myself on
- 19:52Speaker 3: TV saying taking out civilian power plants is a war crime.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Well, let me to you from the Pentagon's Law of
- 20:03Speaker 3: War manuals. So the Pentagon has a manual on the
- 20:05Speaker 3: law of war.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Here's what it says.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Quote, electric power stations are generally recognized to be of
- 20:12Speaker 3: sufficient importance to a state's capacity to meet its wartime
- 20:17Speaker 3: needs of communication, transport, and industry, so as usually to
- 20:23Speaker 3: qualify as military objectives during armed conflicts. And by the way,
- 20:30Speaker 3: the broader section which I will read from you, this
- 20:33Speaker 3: is in section five point six point eight point five
- 20:38Speaker 3: examples of military objectives economic objects associated with military operations,
- 20:43Speaker 3: and it says before what I just read, economic objects
- 20:47Speaker 3: associated with military operations are with war supporting or war
- 20:50Speaker 3: sustaining industries have been regarded as military objectives. That is
- 20:59Speaker 3: incredibly inconvenient for all of the Trump haters in the
- 21:03Speaker 3: Democrat Party or in the media who want to scream
- 21:06Speaker 3: war crime, war crime, war crime, because there's no doubt
- 21:09Speaker 3: the power generation is integral to the war fighting ability
- 21:13Speaker 3: of Iran. And listen, I will say the fact that
- 21:17Speaker 3: Pakistan stepped in it actually goes to what we said
- 21:21Speaker 3: on Monday's podcast, which is Trump's threat with any ordinary
- 21:27Speaker 3: and rational leader would be incredibly effective. If you actually
- 21:30Speaker 3: had a leader that gave a damn about their people,
- 21:32Speaker 3: that gave a damn about their economy, that threat would
- 21:35Speaker 3: be Holy cow. We can't let that happen. The risk
- 21:38Speaker 3: factor is the very real possibility that the I told
- 21:42Speaker 3: in the Malas just don't care that they're willing to
- 21:45Speaker 3: see that kind of devastation to their country. I will
- 21:48Speaker 3: say Pakistan, Pakistan is I've long described Pakistan as a
- 21:55Speaker 3: problematic Ally. They are an ally, but there are challenges
- 21:59Speaker 3: in Pakistan.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Actually put Pakistan, it's a very diplomatic way of putting that.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Yes, but you know what, they're an ally rather than
- 22:06Speaker 3: a friend. But there are real challenges. We work with Pakistan.
- 22:08Speaker 3: There are a lot of bad people or enemies of
- 22:10Speaker 3: America that are within Pakistan, but we work with the
- 22:13Speaker 3: government of Pakistan. And I think that the Prime Minister
- 22:17Speaker 3: of Pakistan stepped up and said, hey, look, you guys
- 22:20Speaker 3: in Iran, don't don't go down this road and end
- 22:24Speaker 3: up crippling. Don't go back to the dark uges. And
- 22:28Speaker 3: and this goes back to where where Pakistan may have
- 22:32Speaker 3: some credibility with Iran. I don't know if Pakistan provided
- 22:35Speaker 3: Iran something of an off rant that that's a good interpretation,
- 22:39Speaker 3: or if Iran's just seizing on this to delay that's
- 22:42Speaker 3: another interpretation that is possible. But I do think Pakistan
- 22:47Speaker 3: stepping forward and saying let's have a two week cease
- 22:50Speaker 3: fire is an example of a more normal country and
- 22:55Speaker 3: a leader who presumably cares about his people at least
- 22:59Speaker 3: to significant extent, stepping forward to Iran and saying, come on, guys,
- 23:04Speaker 3: don't keep playing chicken. This doesn't end up well as before.
- 23:08Speaker 1: If you want to hear the rest of this conversation
- 23:10Speaker 1: on this topic, you can go back and dow the
- 23:12Speaker 1: podcasts from earlier this week to hear the entire thing.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I want to get back to the big story number
- 23:19Speaker 1: three of the week you may have missed, Senator. We
- 23:21Speaker 1: want to talk about another issue that it needs to
- 23:23Speaker 1: be back on the radar screen for a lot of Americans,
- 23:28Speaker 1: and that is the continual crimes are being committed by
- 23:32Speaker 1: illegal immigrants that are in this country.
- 23:34Speaker 2: The media continues to overlook this.
- 23:37Speaker 1: They don't want you to know that it's happening, but
- 23:40Speaker 1: It's another example of why the President needs to be
- 23:41Speaker 1: fighting so hard against these sanctuary cities that are harboring
- 23:46Speaker 1: many of these criminals that are as he would describe them,
- 23:48Speaker 1: really bad ombraves.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Well, you may recall back in twenty twenty four the
- 23:53Speaker 3: Republican National Convention, when I spoke and addressed the convention,
- 23:57Speaker 3: my remarks were focused on this topic, and the theme
- 24:01Speaker 3: of it was every damn day, every day, another American
- 24:07Speaker 3: has raped, another American is assaulted, another American is murdered
- 24:11Speaker 3: by a violent criminal, illegal alien that Joe Biden and
- 24:14Speaker 3: the Democrats have released. And I walked through the tragic
- 24:17Speaker 3: cases of Joscelyn Nungary, the beautiful twelve year old girl
- 24:21Speaker 3: raped and murdered here in Houston. I walked through Lake
- 24:24Speaker 3: and Riley, the horrific murder of the young nursing student
- 24:28Speaker 3: in Georgia. I walked through Rachel Morin, the mom of five,
- 24:33Speaker 3: raped and murdered outside of Washington, d C. It was
- 24:36Speaker 3: happening over and over and over again. That was one
- 24:41Speaker 3: of the big reasons that the voters came out in
- 24:43Speaker 3: overwhelming numbers, re elected President Trump, elected a Republican House,
- 24:47Speaker 3: elected a Republican Senate, and we've seen immediate results. We've
- 24:51Speaker 3: seen illegal border crossings drop more than ninety nine percent.
- 24:56Speaker 3: The problem is, we have four years of open borders
- 24:59Speaker 3: that we have to un We have over twelve million
- 25:01Speaker 3: illegal aliens that were allowed to flood into this country.
- 25:04Speaker 3: And so just this week, the story broke that a
- 25:09Speaker 3: gas station clerk, a mom in Fort Myers, Florida, was
- 25:13Speaker 3: bludgeoned to death with a hammer. I mean, what a
- 25:17Speaker 3: horrible way to go, beaten to death with a hammer.
- 25:20Speaker 3: And who is it that committed this crime? A Haitian
- 25:24Speaker 3: illegal alien who was caught and then released at the
- 25:28Speaker 3: border by the Biden administration. In twenty twenty two, an
- 25:31Speaker 3: immigration judge ordered him deported. Robert Joshim is his name,
- 25:38Speaker 3: but the Biden administration shielded him from deportation by granting
- 25:44Speaker 3: him temporary protected status. So, in other words, what this
- 25:49Speaker 3: person did He took a hammer the parking lot of
- 25:52Speaker 3: a gas station. He walks at her with full strengths,
- 25:56Speaker 3: He beats her on the head with a hammer, she
- 25:58Speaker 3: falls down, unconscious, and then he crushes her head with
- 26:02Speaker 3: the hammer while she's unconscious six more times. Here's the
- 26:08Speaker 3: statement of the Department Homeland Security put out quote, this
- 26:12Speaker 3: illegal alien barbarically hit this woman in the head multiple
- 26:16Speaker 3: times with a hammer. This heinous murderer was released into
- 26:21Speaker 3: the country by the Bidad administration. Not only did the
- 26:25Speaker 3: Bida administration release him into the country, but they gave
- 26:28Speaker 3: him temporary protected status. Their reckless immigration policies cost this
- 26:36Speaker 3: woman her life. This keeps happening over and over and
- 26:43Speaker 3: over again. And what is amazing, Ben In spite of that,
- 26:50Speaker 3: every Democrat in the Senate, when we have a vote,
- 26:52Speaker 3: the Department I'm less Security is still shut down because
- 26:55Speaker 3: they have decided they hate ICE so much, they hate
- 26:58Speaker 3: border enforcement so much that it is the position of
- 27:01Speaker 3: the Democrat Party they are opposed. They want to defund ICE,
- 27:05Speaker 3: which is the organizations that is charged with finding this
- 27:10Speaker 3: vicious criminal, arresting him and deporting him. They don't want
- 27:14Speaker 3: him deported. They want this Haitian murderer in your community.
- 27:18Speaker 3: They don't care if you happen to be the poor
- 27:22Speaker 3: woman who's bludgeoned to death. Look, you know, Chris Murphy,
- 27:27Speaker 3: the very liberal Democrat from Connecticut, was on TV, and
- 27:32Speaker 3: you know there's an old line that a gaff is
- 27:34Speaker 3: when a politician actually accidentally tells the truth he described.
- 27:38Speaker 3: He said, the people we care about the most, meaning
- 27:43Speaker 3: we meaning Democrats, are illegal immigrants. That is what their
- 27:47Speaker 3: party is. And it's infuriating. It keeps happening over and
- 27:51Speaker 3: over and over again.
- 27:53Speaker 2: When you talk about it still being shut down.
- 27:55Speaker 1: And this is I think one of the midterms are
- 27:57Speaker 1: going to be a really important of you. This should
- 28:00Speaker 1: be one of the important issues of the midterms that
- 28:02Speaker 1: Republicans need to remind If Democrats get back in charge,
- 28:06Speaker 1: they've made it queer. They will immediately open the borders
- 28:09Speaker 1: wide up and they don't care who comes in.
- 28:12Speaker 2: It's going to happen. Get ready for it.
- 28:13Speaker 1: That is their form, that is their policy, and they
- 28:16Speaker 1: will absolutely abolish ice if they can do it as well.
- 28:20Speaker 3: And by the way, understand, the risk is not just
- 28:23Speaker 3: the murderers. It's not just the child molesters and the
- 28:27Speaker 3: rapist and the gang bangers. It is also a very
- 28:30Speaker 3: real risk of terrorism. We have seen in the last
- 28:33Speaker 3: month four acts of terrorism by radical Islamic terrorists. And
- 28:37Speaker 3: here's a story that broke this week. I'm just going
- 28:39Speaker 3: to read a tweet from Bill Belushian the fantastic reporter
- 28:43Speaker 3: at Fox.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Here's what he said.
- 28:44Speaker 3: New Border patrol caught and arrested four British nationals entering
- 28:49Speaker 3: the US illegally in a remote part of Maine after
- 28:53Speaker 3: crossing from Canada. Their names these are four British nationals.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Ali Mohammad Ali Abdullah that's number one, Hamid Mohammed Nagi
- 29:07Speaker 3: that's number two, Ibrahim ayub Khan that's number three, and
- 29:13Speaker 3: Mohammed Sultan Salaih. And these are illegal immigrants that were
- 29:18Speaker 3: sneaking into a remote wooded part of Maine. This is dangerous.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Now you know what happened. Because President Trump is in
- 29:29Speaker 3: office and Border Patrol's allowed to do their job. They
- 29:31Speaker 3: were apprehended. They weren't just let in and they're apprehended.
- 29:36Speaker 3: You know what, I guarantee you they will not be released.
- 29:38Speaker 3: They won't be released into this country. If Joe Biden
- 29:40Speaker 3: were president, those four people whose names I just released,
- 29:44Speaker 3: they named that they'd be released and we might be
- 29:47Speaker 3: reading about them in another week or two. That pattern
- 29:52Speaker 3: has played out over and over and over again. And
- 29:56Speaker 3: by the way, it's not just illegal immigran it is
- 30:02Speaker 3: criminals across the board. It is criminals across the board,
- 30:08Speaker 3: such as, for example, de Carlos Brown, who was this
- 30:15Speaker 3: psychotic lunatic who murdered the beautiful Ukrainian woman in North Carolina.
- 30:24Speaker 3: He was just ruled not competent to stand trial. And
- 30:30Speaker 3: I don't doubt that the guy as crazy as a loon.
- 30:34Speaker 3: But let's be clear, Democrats and Roy Cooper in particular,
- 30:39Speaker 3: the Democrat governor released this psychopath murderer fourteen separate times fourteen.
- 30:49Speaker 3: If you keep releasing violent criminals, and it actually helped
- 30:53Speaker 3: me on this Ben play play devil's advocate for a minute.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Try to get inside the mind of a Democrat. Why
- 31:00Speaker 3: would they want to release violent criminals over and over again?
- 31:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't make sense, and yet they continue to
- 31:07Speaker 1: do it because for them, I really do think it's
- 31:09Speaker 1: an issue of politics, right, they want to bring in
- 31:13Speaker 1: a new voters.
- 31:14Speaker 2: It's the simplest way I can put it.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Well, it's not just new voters. Yes, for the illegals.
- 31:19Speaker 3: But you look at this to Carlos Brown, he was
- 31:20Speaker 3: not an illegal immigrant. He was just a psychopathic lunatic American.
- 31:24Speaker 3: But you know what Democrats also think, not only should
- 31:27Speaker 3: he be released from jail, they think he ought to
- 31:29Speaker 3: be a voter, He's perfectly fine to vote in US elections.
- 31:33Speaker 3: And I guarantee you violent criminals vote overwhelmingly Democrat. And
- 31:38Speaker 3: I guess that explains why the Democrats their priority is
- 31:41Speaker 3: violent criminals and not American citizens.
- 31:44Speaker 1: As always, thank you for listening to Verdict with Center
