- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know, y'all have a suit on giving them like
- 0:15Speaker 1: the million bucks things in the count me through good
- 0:20Speaker 1: it sting to other. Stay I don't join me. You
- 0:59Speaker 1: got turn you are you gotta turn to turn them out?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn you got to turn them out? Then turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come, come on your ba I share.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Well a good morning everybody. Y'are listening to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. You know this week, I've just
- 2:13Speaker 1: been on it, so today it's no different. I'm telling you,
- 2:17Speaker 1: I've just reinvigorated myself. I'm more determined to share the
- 2:23Speaker 1: principles of success. I'm more determined to help and guide
- 2:28Speaker 1: and teach as many people as I can the things
- 2:32Speaker 1: that I've learned. And I mean, man, I've been through it.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I have really been through it. I kid you not.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You know. I used to say, Okay, God, you know,
- 2:39Speaker 1: why is all this happening to me? But as I've
- 2:42Speaker 1: gotten older, I understand that was the ingredients. I needed
- 2:46Speaker 1: the ingredients to beat this cake. I needed all those
- 2:50Speaker 1: ingredients stirred up. I need all of that different flavors,
- 2:54Speaker 1: the stuff that I didn't think tastes so good. All
- 2:57Speaker 1: that stuff had to come into the bowl in all
- 3:00Speaker 1: for me to get to where I am today. As
- 3:02Speaker 1: much as I did not like the taste of the ingredients,
- 3:07Speaker 1: little did I know God was making this cake, not me.
- 3:11Speaker 1: But what he did was and you've heard you the
- 3:14Speaker 1: old saying God could turn lemons into lemonade, Well that's
- 3:19Speaker 1: what he was doing now. At the time, it all
- 3:23Speaker 1: had a little funky lemonade lemony flavor to it, with
- 3:27Speaker 1: some other stuff in it too. I didn't care for it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But little did I know that I needed everything that
- 3:34Speaker 1: happened to me to happen to me in the exact
- 3:36Speaker 1: order that had happened, in the exact array of things
- 3:39Speaker 1: that happened, for me to have a knowledge I have today,
- 3:42Speaker 1: the experience, the attitude, so I could turn around and
- 3:48Speaker 1: share that information. Okay, got that out the way. This
- 3:53Speaker 1: is what I want to give to you today. I
- 3:55Speaker 1: want you to understand something that discipline determine your destiny,
- 4:01Speaker 1: not your desire. Discipline determine your destiny, not your desire.
- 4:09Speaker 1: You've heard me say this how many times on the
- 4:10Speaker 1: show Okay, here we go against it. I got it.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Faith with our works, it's dead. But let me tell
- 4:18Speaker 1: you something. To be a hard worker, you got to
- 4:20Speaker 1: be disciplined. That's one of the hardest lessons I'm trying
- 4:23Speaker 1: to get through to my sons. You've gonna throw yourself
- 4:27Speaker 1: down a cliff if you're not a young man or
- 4:30Speaker 1: a man that possesses discipline. Because they got something for
- 4:34Speaker 1: undisciplined people. They got some street laws for undisciplined people,
- 4:39Speaker 1: and they got some federal laws and state laws for
- 4:42Speaker 1: undisciplined people. That's why them signs is outside on the freeway,
- 4:47Speaker 1: we're gonna let you go fast. But seventy is the limit.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Seventy fast enough. Really, if you're disciplined enough of a
- 4:54Speaker 1: person to leave your house at the time you're supposed
- 4:57Speaker 1: to leave your house, seventy miles hour is absolutely enough.
- 5:02Speaker 1: But if you're an undisciplined person, if you don't have
- 5:05Speaker 1: the wherewithal to leave your house on time, to get
- 5:08Speaker 1: ready to go where you want to go, see the
- 5:11Speaker 1: desires where you want to go, the discipline is how
- 5:15Speaker 1: you get there. You understand you can wanna go to
- 5:19Speaker 1: see your family in California, all you want, But the
- 5:22Speaker 1: flight leaves at one to eighteen. You leave your house
- 5:26Speaker 1: at twelve thirty. They told you you must check in
- 5:31Speaker 1: one hour before your flight. Now, if you ain't got
- 5:34Speaker 1: the discipline to get to the airport to check in
- 5:37Speaker 1: one hour before your flight, leaving your house forty five
- 5:41Speaker 1: minutes before the flight departs, what you think gonna happen?
- 5:44Speaker 1: Your desire to go see your family in la is
- 5:48Speaker 1: going to be thwarted because you lack the discipline to
- 5:52Speaker 1: prepare yourself and get yourself ready to do the things
- 5:56Speaker 1: that you have to do to make your desires come true.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I'm telling you discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You can write down a list of stuff you want
- 6:06Speaker 1: to do all day, but if you don't produce and
- 6:09Speaker 1: show the discipline necessary to get there, what you think
- 6:13Speaker 1: gonna happen? Huh? Okay? I want to be rich, Okay,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I want to make four hundred thousand a year. Okay,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I want to be the best player that there is. Okay,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but you don't want to practice. See the cat that's
- 6:31Speaker 1: disciplined enough to show up at practice the shooting jumpers
- 6:34Speaker 1: when everybody going home, that's the guy that's gonna be
- 6:37Speaker 1: the best. The guy that's never late for practice, the
- 6:40Speaker 1: guy to study the playbook. That's the guy that's gonna
- 6:43Speaker 1: make it, not the guy that's talking crack I stalking
- 6:46Speaker 1: that smack. I'm gonna make the Pro Bowl, I'm gonna
- 6:48Speaker 1: make the All Star Team, I'm gonna be All American.
- 6:51Speaker 1: That's just what you're saying. But discipline determines your destiny,
- 6:56Speaker 1: not your desire. So now let's talk about this discipline.
- 7:00Speaker 1: What is that, really, Steve. That's your work ethic, that's
- 7:04Speaker 1: your hunger, that's your will. Discipline is how hard you're
- 7:09Speaker 1: willing to demonstrate the attributes and the traits to be
- 7:16Speaker 1: what you want to be. Did you hear me? It
- 7:20Speaker 1: is your willingness to conduct yourself in a manner that
- 7:24Speaker 1: is above and beyond what they say is necessary. Now,
- 7:29Speaker 1: this is a good example right here. Now. You can
- 7:32Speaker 1: want to be in the NFL all you want, but
- 7:34Speaker 1: they got this thing called the NFL Combines where they
- 7:38Speaker 1: bring in some of the top players at every position
- 7:41Speaker 1: to come in and they're gonna run a forty yard dash,
- 7:44Speaker 1: they're gonna do a standing broad jump, they're gonna do
- 7:48Speaker 1: a standing vertical leap. They're gonna do drills, running drills,
- 7:54Speaker 1: cutting drills. They can determine if a linebacker got stiff
- 7:58Speaker 1: hips by making back pedal, point him in one direction
- 8:01Speaker 1: and throw the football in another direction. How does he
- 8:04Speaker 1: turn his body? Now you can say you can tell
- 8:07Speaker 1: everybody at your college you want to play pro football.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You tell everybody at your high school. You tell them
- 8:11Speaker 1: in Peewee you want to play pro football. But they
- 8:14Speaker 1: got tests for you though. It's called the combines. Now
- 8:17Speaker 1: you get out here and you have a bad combine day,
- 8:20Speaker 1: ain't nobody trying to hear that. Let me tell you
- 8:22Speaker 1: how excuses don't work with people when they just trying
- 8:24Speaker 1: to get when they're trying to win in the NFL.
- 8:28Speaker 1: The fact that you had a bad day at the
- 8:30Speaker 1: combine and you don't run your best forties and you
- 8:33Speaker 1: just keep telling them you could do better, they don't
- 8:35Speaker 1: want to hear that. Because see, what ain't nobody gonna
- 8:37Speaker 1: pay you for is to play on Sunday. And that's
- 8:40Speaker 1: one of your bad days. We're paying you to play
- 8:44Speaker 1: on Sundays. But because you keep having these bad days,
- 8:48Speaker 1: because you ain't discipline enough to put in the work
- 8:51Speaker 1: to make sure that your maximum can be called upon
- 8:54Speaker 1: at any time. Now you at to combine with some
- 8:57Speaker 1: slow times that go on your record. You had to combine.
- 9:01Speaker 1: You don't jump as high as you did when you
- 9:02Speaker 1: was at the gym class. Well, hold up, man, this
- 9:05Speaker 1: is show day now in the NFL, Sunday is show day.
- 9:10Speaker 1: What they can't run the risk of is paying you
- 9:12Speaker 1: your money. And your bad day happened to be on
- 9:14Speaker 1: Sundays after we didn't cut your check. No, no, no,
- 9:18Speaker 1: We're looking for people who limit them bad days, who
- 9:21Speaker 1: got the discipline to work hard, to make an effort
- 9:24Speaker 1: for it. You understand what I'm saying to your folks.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Please understand this. Discipline determines your destiny, not your desire.
- 9:32Speaker 1: If you can want it all you want, but if
- 9:35Speaker 1: you ain't working, if you ain't grinding, if you ain't hurting,
- 9:39Speaker 1: if you ain't sweating real bad, if you always somewhere,
- 9:44Speaker 1: got to chill, you got to have a cold one,
- 9:46Speaker 1: you got to smoke one, You gotta do all them. Things.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Can't tell you something you ain't gonna make it. Discipline
- 9:54Speaker 1: determines your destiny, not your desires. You're listening morning show
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, the time is here the Steve Harvey
- 10:05Speaker 1: Morning Show. Thank you for joining us. Hope you enjoyed.
- 10:09Speaker 1: It's about to be ignorant. Good morning, Um, SHIRLEYE. Carler,

- 10:22Speaker 1: is good? Junior? What you got man? Uh? Let me
- 10:26Speaker 1: ask something. Okay, So some people on their way to
- 10:30Speaker 1: work right now, and they're probably having this issue. How
- 10:34Speaker 1: do you let somebody know that their co worker is unattracted?
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm just putting it out there. How how do you
- 10:40Speaker 1: let them co worker know the unattracted? Yeah? How do
- 10:44Speaker 1: you let a coworking on the untracked? I'm not saying
- 10:46Speaker 1: it's on this job. I'm just saying people on they
- 10:47Speaker 1: way to work. Well, when you get it work and
- 10:52Speaker 1: you're dealing with somebody that's unattracted, to let you and
- 10:57Speaker 1: you want to let them know? Yeah, you wouldn't let
- 10:59Speaker 1: because they tired of it. All these outfits they put
- 11:01Speaker 1: all you tired of that because it don't look good. Okay.
- 11:05Speaker 1: As soon as an ugly person speaks to me, as
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm saying good morning back, I immediately look off. But
- 11:16Speaker 1: I thought I was ugly. We are okay, then okay, Tommy, nonsense,
- 11:23Speaker 1: you didn't got in him go. Do you notice when
- 11:26Speaker 1: you speak to your uncle? Do you notice when I'm speaking,
- 11:30Speaker 1: I always kind of look off whatever. You had not
- 11:35Speaker 1: noticed that, because it's a way of doing it without
- 11:39Speaker 1: really being You don't have to be ugly to nobody.
- 11:42Speaker 1: They all ready ugly. What you don't want to do
- 11:45Speaker 1: be ugly to an ugly person. They've had enough of it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: They have mirrors. I'm pretty show that. You know, Tommy,
- 11:54Speaker 1: when the last time you looked at the men and
- 11:56Speaker 1: thought you was cute? Last night before I went somewhere,
- 12:00Speaker 1: he noticed how he didn't do that this morning. Yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 1: he didn't say he didn't he didn't have an outfit on,
- 12:06Speaker 1: and he looked in that this morning and realized, I
- 12:09Speaker 1: just got to deal with this today. I gotta agree
- 12:12Speaker 1: with him. See, I thought he was gonna say this morning.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Now you know the truth comes out when you catch
- 12:19Speaker 1: him off God. Last night, for I went somewhere, he
- 12:23Speaker 1: put on his best and it wasn't him that was attractive.
- 12:27Speaker 1: He thought his outfit was attracted. But he got on
- 12:30Speaker 1: T shirt this morning when he got him looked in
- 12:33Speaker 1: that mirror this morning, he realized I got to deal
- 12:36Speaker 1: with it. There's another way. As we do these zoom calls.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Look at the cameras right now, who looks too close
- 12:48Speaker 1: to you? Not up? Ye, school bra right? Probably grand
- 13:06Speaker 1: it's in the wall and you want to say, all morning,
- 13:13Speaker 1: don you too close? We're getting the close up of it.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So that's how I say to deal with it. Morning,
- 13:24Speaker 1: Thank you, Junior, Thank you. Sorry. Every morning you can,

- 13:57Speaker 1: and I've been dating a twenty nine year old guy
- 14:00Speaker 1: or a year, and i attended a fundraising gallup for
- 14:03Speaker 1: one of my clients, and my boyfriend met my very
- 14:05Speaker 1: opinionated female boss for the first time. They got into
- 14:10Speaker 1: a debate about COVID and my boss called him an idiot.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I gave her a stern look and didn't say anything.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Monday at work, she told me that I'm dating an
- 14:20Speaker 1: idiot out of sheer respect. I didn't say a word.
- 14:24Speaker 1: How do I check her and keep my job? You
- 14:27Speaker 1: ain't gonna be able to do that? Huh, that's it.
- 14:32Speaker 1: You're not gonna be able to check her and keep
- 14:34Speaker 1: your job. We're just trying to make a distant one. Yeah,
- 14:38Speaker 1: are you tired of her? I mean really tired of her?
- 14:41Speaker 1: Do you have application in anywhere else? Do you have
- 14:43Speaker 1: a skill set where you could take it somewhere and
- 14:45Speaker 1: not work for an opinionated boss. Then once you get
- 14:50Speaker 1: accepted at another position, then you walk in and check her.
- 14:55Speaker 1: But you're not gonna be able to check her and
- 14:57Speaker 1: keep your job, idiot? All right, moving on, Thank you, Tamika.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I can also assure you that your boss is unattracted.
- 15:12Speaker 1: We're just gonna start, all right. Tamika in Birmingham. She
- 15:20Speaker 1: sounds cute. I've been with my son's father for a
- 15:23Speaker 1: long time and we break up and make up all
- 15:25Speaker 1: of the time. Last year he got a girl pregnant
- 15:28Speaker 1: while we were broken up. I have accepted the baby
- 15:31Speaker 1: and we're back together. I went to his house yesterday
- 15:34Speaker 1: and there's a picture of him, his newborn daughter, and
- 15:37Speaker 1: his daughter's mom on his dresser. How could he take
- 15:40Speaker 1: a family picture with her and think I wouldn't mind?
- 15:43Speaker 1: Does he want them to be a family? WHOA wait
- 15:47Speaker 1: a minute, what do you mean? How does he think
- 15:52Speaker 1: you wouldn't mind? Wait a minute. You've taken everything else.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You've accepted every thing else he's been your You've been
- 16:04Speaker 1: dating your son's father for a long time. It's been
- 16:07Speaker 1: off and on. You accept that when I keep telling
- 16:11Speaker 1: women men don't do off. When when y'all off, we
- 16:13Speaker 1: somewhere own somewhere else. And then the last time he
- 16:17Speaker 1: proved it because while you was off, he got another
- 16:20Speaker 1: girl pregnant. I told y'all, this is what we do
- 16:23Speaker 1: when we off. You took him back again. You accepted that,
- 16:29Speaker 1: and you accept the baby. So now if you're gonna
- 16:32Speaker 1: accept him with her and the baby with him and her,
- 16:37Speaker 1: how you ain't gonna take the picture of all three
- 16:39Speaker 1: of them? That don't ever play out in your head? Man, sister,
- 16:45Speaker 1: little sister, You've accepted everything else he's given you to
- 16:49Speaker 1: gnaw own and swallow. Why would you not swallow this?
- 16:53Speaker 1: What you're gonna have to do is start establishing yourself
- 16:56Speaker 1: a new set of standards that you want to be
- 16:59Speaker 1: treated in it and and and accepted by, and start
- 17:02Speaker 1: applying nose, and you will find that you will accept
- 17:06Speaker 1: less bs off less people. That's right, That's right, all right, clo,
- 17:11Speaker 1: all right, Moving on Church, Amen, Amen. Moving on to
- 17:18Speaker 1: Alison and Nashville. Alison says, my husband and I are
- 17:22Speaker 1: empty nesters, and I'm just getting used to it. But
- 17:26Speaker 1: now I have a big problem with my husband. He
- 17:28Speaker 1: thinks this freedom from children means we need to have
- 17:30Speaker 1: sex all the time, all over the house. He loves
- 17:34Speaker 1: watching porn and he's always telling me to look at
- 17:37Speaker 1: this or that on his phone. I'm sick of it.
- 17:40Speaker 1: My body can't take all that twisting and bending anymore.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm okay with it once or twice a week. So
- 17:46Speaker 1: how do I set limits on him? Baby? We're gonna
- 17:50Speaker 1: do this once or twice a week. I'm coming here
- 17:53Speaker 1: with this phone everything. Okay, what all these white people
- 17:57Speaker 1: in here doing, We're not. We're doing this twice a week. Now,
- 17:59Speaker 1: which what two days? You want? What you need. What's
- 18:04Speaker 1: your best stage? Okay, I know you like sad sadness
- 18:09Speaker 1: and whatever you want. The weekend you want sadness and
- 18:15Speaker 1: whinsdays you want uses. You know. If I feel like
- 18:19Speaker 1: something else, I'll let you know. But what two days?
- 18:21Speaker 1: You won't stop showing me your phone. I don't care
- 18:29Speaker 1: what they doing. No, I'm not gonna lay my No, no,
- 18:32Speaker 1: I'm not laying my leg up there on top of
- 18:34Speaker 1: the refrigerator. No, no, I don't like it with refrigerator.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Don open. Stop asking me that I'm not sitting on
- 18:46Speaker 1: the top of the tie wreck again, I don't that hurts?
- 18:52Speaker 1: All right? Can we move on? Now? You get the
- 18:55Speaker 1: don off? I'm not getting it no more? All right?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Moving on? In rowing up says, I've been married for
- 19:03Speaker 1: almost thirty years and my wife had a girl's night
- 19:05Speaker 1: out recently, and I had a few friends over to
- 19:07Speaker 1: watch the fight round midnight. I texted her to ask
- 19:11Speaker 1: if she was coming home, and she didn't answer. Around
- 19:13Speaker 1: twelve thirty am, she came in and I didn't recognize
- 19:16Speaker 1: the car that dropped her off. She said it wasn't uber,
- 19:21Speaker 1: but she got out of the front seat. Now I'm
- 19:23Speaker 1: paranoid about her. Whereabouts Do I press the issue or
- 19:27Speaker 1: let it slide? I don't know you. I told you
- 19:35Speaker 1: my wife. Don't come in at twelve thirty am. Get
- 19:38Speaker 1: out of cars I don't recognize, Get out the front
- 19:42Speaker 1: seat and say it was a uber. You know it
- 19:45Speaker 1: was a ugle drive on man. Yeah, hello, did she
- 19:52Speaker 1: leave in her car? Yeah? You know who picked up?
- 19:58Speaker 1: You're stupid, you know, Mackie. Thirty years things change, Yeah,
- 20:07Speaker 1: you ain't macke No mold packet wackmacket and got packet.

- 20:15Speaker 1: be somewhere getting in another sacket. Now you shouldn't ever
- 20:19Speaker 1: sitting at the house feeling like a lacket. And if
- 20:23Speaker 1: she really was by herself, she came home in a
- 20:25Speaker 1: taxi that would have a manage it more happy. Yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 1: but now here we is about that? All right? Thank you?

- 21:56Speaker 1: school district. Your son is j devid Am I right, yeah, okay,
- 22:03Speaker 1: Now he's in the sixth grade. I think, yeah, yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 1: everything is fine. I think he's on He rides bus
- 22:11Speaker 1: ninety Bus ninety three. Does he ride US ninety three? Yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 1: yeah he does. Okay, So now the school board has
- 22:20Speaker 1: implemented a new rule, and we're having to call a
- 22:26Speaker 1: lot of parents and let him know about the new
- 22:28Speaker 1: rule for us as far as the buses are concerned. Now,
- 22:32Speaker 1: from my understanding, each child that gets on the bus
- 22:36Speaker 1: has to weigh less than one hundred and twenty five pounds.
- 22:40Speaker 1: That's what the new rule that is implemented by the board.
- 22:44Speaker 1: What did you say that again? Each child that gets
- 22:51Speaker 1: on the bus has to weigh less than one hundred
- 22:53Speaker 1: and twenty five pounds. I don't understand. I don't understand.
- 23:00Speaker 1: What's okay? So what does what does that mean? So
- 23:03Speaker 1: starting on Monday, starting no Monday, what they're gonna do
- 23:06Speaker 1: if they're gonna the bus driver will have a scale
- 23:10Speaker 1: and he will wag the kids they get on on
- 23:13Speaker 1: the bus. I understand. Man, the doctor, like I say,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I'm calling, I'm calling every patent that they say, you're
- 23:20Speaker 1: gonna you're gonna waive my child before he gets on
- 23:24Speaker 1: the bus. That's that's what the new rule. That's what
- 23:26Speaker 1: the new rules. And if he's over one twenty five,
- 23:29Speaker 1: then he he'll either have to walk, you have to
- 23:31Speaker 1: take him to school. But I have a job, Okay,
- 23:35Speaker 1: I have a job. I thought it gonna take my
- 23:37Speaker 1: kids in school, but I don't. That's what the bus explored,
- 23:40Speaker 1: that's what my tax dollars paid for us. But the reasoning,
- 23:45Speaker 1: the rationale behind this, Okay, let me tell you what's
- 23:48Speaker 1: going on. From what they're saying, the weight of these
- 23:51Speaker 1: children is wearing down these transmissions on this bus, on
- 23:55Speaker 1: these bus transmission, the transmission cannot take all of that.
- 24:01Speaker 1: They are limiting the weight of each child. So now
- 24:04Speaker 1: how much does that discrimination? I think that's discrimination. But
- 24:09Speaker 1: is over Is he over one hundred twenty five pounds? Okay?
- 24:15Speaker 1: He is? Ok? Then you you're probably gonna have to
- 24:19Speaker 1: take your son to school? Are you gonna have to walk?
- 24:22Speaker 1: He probably need to walk to school if he already
- 24:24Speaker 1: or hundred twenty five pounds? What ap are you talking about? Man?
- 24:35Speaker 1: All I'm saying. All I'm saying is if your son
- 24:38Speaker 1: can overweight one hundred twenty five you know, maybe the
- 24:42Speaker 1: exercise are doing good. When like I said that, the
- 24:44Speaker 1: school is that's gonna allow him on the plus. But sir,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I will not accept this. If who do I need
- 24:52Speaker 1: to call? Is there a manager? Is there a city's
- 24:55Speaker 1: council member? I mean, this is seriously the most up
- 24:59Speaker 1: disc mandatory practice I've ever heard of. It doesn't even
- 25:02Speaker 1: make sense. You're talking about a child, I understand, but
- 25:05Speaker 1: we're talking about a child weigh more than a grown person.
- 25:08Speaker 1: So I need to get what is your name, sir?
- 25:10Speaker 1: Tell me your name again. My name is Ernest. I'm
- 25:14Speaker 1: down here at the bus ball. I would like to
- 25:16Speaker 1: speak with the supervisor, like, now, what do you You
- 25:21Speaker 1: do not get to speak to my about my child
- 25:23Speaker 1: that way? You get to speak to any kid that way.
- 25:25Speaker 1: You should not be working at a school if that
- 25:27Speaker 1: is your attitude. I'm no, I don't work at the school.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I work at the bus ball. I'm down here at
- 25:32Speaker 1: the bus ball and they gave me you they right
- 25:35Speaker 1: because you're saying he's over behind in point of fat pack.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I am an absolute shock. This is so okay. So
- 25:45Speaker 1: do you have a fat chat? I mean, do you
- 25:47Speaker 1: have scuba? I'm sorry, do you have a big chatter? Listen?
- 25:50Speaker 1: What my child looks like, how much he weighs is
- 25:54Speaker 1: none of your business. I'm going to call the school.
- 25:57Speaker 1: They can be working with your company. If this is
- 25:59Speaker 1: the way to eat, you treat people, and you talk
- 26:02Speaker 1: about children, it's fit doesn't matter here. I guess what
- 26:07Speaker 1: they're doing is this is the way of them approaching obesity.
- 26:11Speaker 1: You know, cho whoever, whoever over one hundred, they might
- 26:17Speaker 1: walk it all you're start. Listen, listen. That is the
- 26:21Speaker 1: most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Okay, I have to work.
- 26:25Speaker 1: My son is getting on that bus and I'm going
- 26:28Speaker 1: to call the schoolboard and should not be working with you.
- 26:31Speaker 1: We're another bus company. I don't know, but I'm calling
- 26:33Speaker 1: the city. I will call Rember. They need to call.
- 26:36Speaker 1: But you need to give me a supervisor's name right now,
- 26:39Speaker 1: right now? Do you think you need to start cooking different? Poto, Devin,
- 26:43Speaker 1: don't have you know? Maybe maybe it's start us at
- 26:46Speaker 1: home and what you're feeding everybody. You know, I am
- 26:52Speaker 1: calling the supervisor. I'm calling the the city, I'm calling
- 26:55Speaker 1: the school. I'm going to so fired, like I can't
- 26:58Speaker 1: even believe it. You're a live to make this call
- 27:01Speaker 1: like our other parents. Okay with this, I'm called when
- 27:07Speaker 1: you on your way to work in the morning TRAINA
- 27:09Speaker 1: do you listen to the Steve Harvey Morning Show? Oh
- 27:13Speaker 1: my god, yes I do. Ty from the Steve Harvey
- 27:20Speaker 1: Morning Yes, your cousin Vicky got me the plank Polk
- 27:26Speaker 1: call you baby, Oh my god, I'm gonna yeah. I
- 27:32Speaker 1: mean I was like, oh my god, I love Steve Harvey.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I love you. I was a god. You gotta tell
- 27:42Speaker 1: me this baby traina what is the baddest and I
- 27:45Speaker 1: mean the baddest radio show in the lane? Steve Harvey? Ye,
- 27:56Speaker 1: that is best baby. Wait wait, h let me correct
- 28:07Speaker 1: it today because I got corrected by my uncle yesterday.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I'm doing comedy okay, and Johnsonville and Jacksonville, Florida, November

- 28:23Speaker 1: the twentieth. They know Hio Convention Center. Now here we
- 28:27Speaker 1: go here, go to Big News. That's time it got
- 28:29Speaker 1: But you're right here. Oh I could do it. Chicago, Illinois, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Georgia.
- 28:34Speaker 1: This is the New Year's Eve Comedy laugh Fest. That
- 28:37Speaker 1: is Eddie Griffith, that is sexually entertainer Dale Hughgley. Earthquake
- 28:41Speaker 1: hosted by Yours Truly. Chicago is December thirty of watching.
- 28:46Speaker 1: The DC is the first of January. Atlanta is the
- 28:49Speaker 1: second of January. Tickets are on sale right nine, New
- 28:54Speaker 1: Year's Eve, New Year's Comedy laugh Fest. All right, now,
- 28:58Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up as the top of the hour,
- 29:00Speaker 1: we'll have entertainment news and national news with miss Anne Tripp.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 29:09Speaker 1: A sixty one year old Florida man named Mike Hoggabook
- 29:13Speaker 1: Mike Hoggabook has been accused of grooming and marrying his
- 29:17Speaker 1: eighteen year old god daughter, Deja hucle book Okay Hoga book.
- 29:23Speaker 1: In Florida, the legal age for consent is eighteen. Mike
- 29:26Speaker 1: and Dejah posted on Facebook that they will be raising
- 29:29Speaker 1: their four kids together. Now, it's not clear how many
- 29:32Speaker 1: of the children are Deja's biologically. Online reports of an
- 29:36Speaker 1: arrest in twenty fourteen show that Michael was fifty four
- 29:39Speaker 1: years old at the time, which would make him sixty
- 29:42Speaker 1: one years old now. Old photo surfast of Michael holding
- 29:47Speaker 1: Deja when she was just a toddler, and rumors indicate
- 29:50Speaker 1: that Michael had a serious past relationship or was married
- 29:53Speaker 1: to Deja's mother. I'm so confused. Yeah, it's god daughter.
- 30:00Speaker 1: How they got the same last name? Who belong to? Oh?
- 30:05Speaker 1: These are all questions we ain't nobody got no answer.
- 30:10Speaker 1: These are all questions that need to be answer somebody
- 30:13Speaker 1: crazy relationship. These are killing questions right here where we
- 30:18Speaker 1: need some answers. Yeah, we do. This is crazy though, right,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I don't understand, Um, what don't you understand? I'm stunned.
- 30:30Speaker 1: It's just this country. It's just that. Yeah, we can
- 30:34Speaker 1: calmly report about this, no ramifications. Dave Chappelle do a
- 30:40Speaker 1: comedy special day outside Marching. Yeah right, it's something wrong
- 30:45Speaker 1: right now. Yeah, it's twisted in this country for sure.
- 30:49Speaker 1: This man can take this young girl, got four unexplained kids,
- 30:55Speaker 1: manhood sixty one, then groomed her. It's just it's just
- 31:01Speaker 1: the story of blog. Yeah, right, exactly. But now where's
- 31:06Speaker 1: the outrage? Where's the uproar? Where's the mark? You know from? Now,
- 31:12Speaker 1: if you don't have outraged for me, don't come over
- 31:15Speaker 1: here asking me to have enough for you. Okay, all right,
- 31:19Speaker 1: that's the new rule. Yeah. If you ain't gonna be
- 31:22Speaker 1: outraged by my causes, then please don't come up here
- 31:26Speaker 1: and ask me to be outraged by your causes. All right,
- 31:33Speaker 1: All right, Now we go from crazy to bizarre and
- 31:37Speaker 1: other news for the first time ever a pigs kidney,
- 31:41Speaker 1: a pigs kidney has been transplanet into a human without
- 31:46Speaker 1: triggering immediate rejection by the recipient's immune system. All Right,
- 31:51Speaker 1: The pig kidney functioned for fifty four hours in the
- 31:55Speaker 1: first ever successful transplant, and the procedure could potentially alleviate
- 32:00Speaker 1: alleviate the shortage of organs for transplants. All right. The
- 32:04Speaker 1: recipient of the pig kidney was a brain dead patient
- 32:08Speaker 1: with signs of kidney dysfunction whose family consented to the
- 32:12Speaker 1: experiment before she was due to be taken off life support.
- 32:16Speaker 1: You got that kidney worked, so pig kid I got
- 32:22Speaker 1: a lot of wow pigs in my neighborhood. So here's
- 32:30Speaker 1: the question. Okay, might want to set up a bullpit.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Starts turned into a business? You need it? Twenty five hall,
- 32:50Speaker 1: I thought you got rid of those hogs in your neighborhood.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Not not since he found out they had kidneys. All right,
- 33:03Speaker 1: we gotta move on. Come on, Steve, it's time, ladies
- 33:06Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss a trip. Thank you very much, Steve.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. This is a troop with the news
- 33:11Speaker 1: in Washington. Yesterday, House lawmakers voted two hundred and twenty
- 33:15Speaker 1: nine to two O two to hold a former White
- 33:17Speaker 1: House advisor and Trump pal Steve Bennon in contempt for
- 33:20Speaker 1: defining a Congressional subpoena from the Select Committee that's looking
- 33:23Speaker 1: into last January's Capitol Hill riot. As you would expect,
- 33:27Speaker 1: most Republicans remained in lockstep behind President Trump, voting against
- 33:31Speaker 1: the measure, but nine follow their own minds, like Wyoming
- 33:34Speaker 1: Republican Lynn Cheney, there's a moment when politics must stop
- 33:38Speaker 1: if we want to defend and protect our institutions. A
- 33:42Speaker 1: violent assault on the Capitol to stop a constitutional process
- 33:45Speaker 1: of counting electoral votes is that moment. But like I said,
- 33:49Speaker 1: most members of the GOP wouldn't even consider speaking out
- 33:51Speaker 1: against the writers or their suspected leaders. The contempt of
- 33:55Speaker 1: congress finding now sends the whole matter onto the Justice Department.
- 33:58Speaker 1: By the way, a President by says that white supremacy
- 34:01Speaker 1: motivated the Kapoli Hill riots. In his opinion on another subject,
- 34:05Speaker 1: the President is in disbelief over the way the GOP
- 34:08Speaker 1: has been acting about new voting rights. Mister Biden blames
- 34:11Speaker 1: Senate Republicans who blocked a key voting rights bill. They're
- 34:14Speaker 1: afraid even just debate the bills in the US Senate,
- 34:17Speaker 1: even on a bill that includes provisions that they've traditionally supported.
- 34:21Speaker 1: It's unfair, it's unconscionable, it's Unamerican. The President calls voting
- 34:25Speaker 1: a threshold liberty for democracy. But even though gop led
- 34:29Speaker 1: states have been threatening democracy by enacting new restrictions on voting,
- 34:33Speaker 1: he says, the fight's not over. They gonnatinue get out
- 34:35Speaker 1: there and do what they can do. The imprisoned ex
- 34:38Speaker 1: Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot a woman who'd call
- 34:41Speaker 1: nine one one has been resentenced on a lesser charge
- 34:45Speaker 1: to close to five years in prison. Mohammed Nor had
- 34:48Speaker 1: already served twenty nine months for fatally shooting Justine Ruchek
- 34:51Speaker 1: in twenty seventeen after she made a nine one one
- 34:54Speaker 1: call to report a possible crime near her home. The
- 34:57Speaker 1: state Supreme Courts throughout Noor's murder conviction last month because
- 35:00Speaker 1: they say the third degree chart that they gave against
- 35:02Speaker 1: him did not fit the crime, so they threw that out.
- 35:04Speaker 1: But they left other charges on the books, and that's
- 35:07Speaker 1: why he's going to still be in jail five years
- 35:09Speaker 1: in prison. A medical examiner says that the remains found
- 35:13Speaker 1: in the Florida Nature Preserve skeletal remains are those of
- 35:17Speaker 1: twenty three year old Brian Laundry. You know, he was
- 35:19Speaker 1: the only suspect, or at least a person of interest
- 35:22Speaker 1: listed in the killing of Gabby Petito. So we know
- 35:26Speaker 1: the Potitos say now they'll never really know what happened
- 35:29Speaker 1: to Gabby and why. Sadly, in New Mexico, get this
- 35:32Speaker 1: actor Alec Baldwin totally destroyed after firing a prop gun
- 35:36Speaker 1: on the set of his new movie It's Western and
- 35:39Speaker 1: killing one man and injuring another one. The gun was
- 35:41Speaker 1: supposed to be loaded with blanks, but again he shot
- 35:44Speaker 1: off twice, one guy killed, the other still being treated.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Remember Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee, was shot and killed
- 35:50Speaker 1: like that from a supposedly non lethal gun back in
- 35:53Speaker 1: the nineteen ninety three on a movie set. Very sad.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 35:58Speaker 1: to Harvey Mourning Show. All right, Steve, is that time again?
- 36:02Speaker 1: Let's do a quick round of would you rather ready?
- 36:05Speaker 1: Have you noticed when we play would you rather? I
- 36:08Speaker 1: have a tendency to pick my number before I hear
- 36:10Speaker 1: all of them. Ye, yeah, all right, let's try. Come on,
- 36:16Speaker 1: let's see, let's see do it again? Right, all right,
- 36:19Speaker 1: here we go. Would you rather go without a cell
- 36:23Speaker 1: phone for a month or a bath for a month?
- 36:29Speaker 1: Keep that No, you keep that phone exactly, no man,
- 36:34Speaker 1: ask a millennial. I tell you right now, my kid's
- 36:41Speaker 1: gonna be sitting up in here. All the cell phone
- 36:47Speaker 1: is attached to the palm and they head, I'm three
- 36:50Speaker 1: showers a day. That's no way I could cut it
- 36:53Speaker 1: to zero. See that's this, This is this is excessive
- 36:56Speaker 1: nod showers. They ain't got no shower at the golf course.
- 37:06Speaker 1: They got a shower. I'm not taking my clothes off
- 37:09Speaker 1: in front of these people. I don't know them. You
- 37:13Speaker 1: got a whotail room at a house. What if I'm
- 37:15Speaker 1: shining at the golf course? Fall I'm up on that
- 37:18Speaker 1: damn You got up on that damn plane when you
- 37:21Speaker 1: went to du buy and your ass took a shower
- 37:22Speaker 1: way up there, thousand two feet in the half for
- 37:25Speaker 1: nobody in the room. And I had a lock on
- 37:27Speaker 1: the dough. You can't lock you you clean when you
- 37:30Speaker 1: left the high You can't lock the dough at the
- 37:34Speaker 1: country club. They can all walk in. You got to
- 37:37Speaker 1: come out that shower. I liked privacy. What you're gonna
- 37:41Speaker 1: stop doing is telling everybody you take three showers a day.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I don't know why you take. You be asked, don't
- 37:51Speaker 1: you Your ass got to be asked a little. I
- 37:57Speaker 1: would rather take three showers. Let's keep moving. Would you
- 38:01Speaker 1: rather have another ten years with your partner in here?
- 38:09Speaker 1: Have another ten years with your partner or a one
- 38:13Speaker 1: night stand with your celebrity crush man? What I know?
- 38:19Speaker 1: How min and my heart beat be be? I mean,
- 38:27Speaker 1: I hope she listened this morning. But if NIA long reading,
- 38:30Speaker 1: I really do she read it. I wouldn't do Hannah
- 38:38Speaker 1: already though it ain't gonna send me all right. Would
- 38:42Speaker 1: you rather live in a tiny house or would you
- 38:45Speaker 1: rather live in a cave? You rather live in a cave.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I know you don't like sy be, but a cave
- 38:54Speaker 1: be big ass cave? All right? Guys coming up in
- 39:03Speaker 1: this case, come and up a thirty four minutes after
- 39:07Speaker 1: the hour, former president believe what I'm moving in the
- 39:14Speaker 1: former President Clinton is out of the hospital and tweeting,
- 39:17Speaker 1: we'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 39:20Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Former President Clinton gave an
- 39:25Speaker 1: update on his condition in a video he posted to Twitter,
- 39:29Speaker 1: and he is on the road to recovery. In the video,
- 39:32Speaker 1: he thanked his well wishers and healthcare providers for their
- 39:35Speaker 1: support while he was hospitalized. President Clinton wrote, I'm really
- 39:39Speaker 1: glad to be back home. I'm doing great, enjoying this
- 39:42Speaker 1: beautiful fall weather. I'm on the road to recovery. But
- 39:46Speaker 1: I want to remind everyone out there to take the
- 39:48Speaker 1: time to listen to your bodies and care for yourselves.
- 39:52Speaker 1: We all have work to do, and each of us
- 39:55Speaker 1: has an important role to play in life and in
- 39:57Speaker 1: the immediate future. I for one, I'm gonna do my
- 40:00Speaker 1: best to be around to keep doing the most good
- 40:03Speaker 1: I can for a lot longer. You can take President
- 40:07Speaker 1: clinton name off and put by every time I come
- 40:16Speaker 1: out to the hospital, I put that same thing, put
- 40:19Speaker 1: his name, put my name right there with Junior. Why
- 40:21Speaker 1: don't you just get it and have it all those
- 40:24Speaker 1: scene copy paste. I tell you, I know that. Yeah,
- 40:31Speaker 1: stick around for a lot longer, all right, and moving on,
- 40:35Speaker 1: we got to give a shout out to Morgan Freeman.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Let's see what Morgan did. Let's see what he did. Okay,
- 40:47Speaker 1: we're giving a shout out to Morgan Freeman for his
- 40:49Speaker 1: good deed. Last week in the Gulf Shores and Gulf
- 40:53Speaker 1: Shores of Alabama, uh, the Oscar winning actor was part
- 40:59Speaker 1: of a setn't member panel that interviewed nine potential officers
- 41:03Speaker 1: for the Golf Shores Police Department. Morgan Freeman owns property
- 41:07Speaker 1: and Golf Shores and spends time in the town, so
- 41:10Speaker 1: when he was asked to participate, he did being a
- 41:13Speaker 1: good citizen. The latest batch of police recruits were surprised
- 41:18Speaker 1: to see Morgan Freeman, who was recognizable, of course by
- 41:21Speaker 1: his voice, you know that, and if not his voice,
- 41:25Speaker 1: of course by his face in an Alabama beach town faced.
- 41:30Speaker 1: And who put this story in this ship? It's the
- 41:34Speaker 1: question I have it. I don't know, but I'm so
- 41:37Speaker 1: happy it's here. I'm so you seem to be the
- 41:40Speaker 1: only one that's happy about it. I know what. Nobody
- 41:43Speaker 1: give a damn about him being in no meeting pig,
- 41:45Speaker 1: no police officership. I think this is great. I there
- 41:50Speaker 1: was the good in it. Well, where did you see
- 41:52Speaker 1: all this goodness? Well, okay, he owns property, he's doing
- 41:56Speaker 1: a good citizen citizen by helping property. Tommy old property.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Everybody old property with the property nothing he living in it, Tommy,
- 42:07Speaker 1: that's his other hole. But we haven't won academy awards
- 42:11Speaker 1: and stuff and um, well, last time Morgan call and
- 42:16Speaker 1: everything and it's Morgan Freeman. He ever invite you down
- 42:21Speaker 1: to the beach house and your husband that y'all using
- 42:24Speaker 1: for a weekend or just me by myself? Maybe huh,
- 42:29Speaker 1: you've been not gonna ride with him because you know
- 42:31Speaker 1: you don't drive to well he flipped him calls. I
- 42:33Speaker 1: think this is great. I think white woman don't hate

- 48:21Speaker 1: What type of pool you pulled it in? You better
- 48:23Speaker 1: put me back in the shallow part. You're going to
- 48:26Speaker 1: the deep end pullers, man, get the fun. I'm not
- 48:28Speaker 1: going to South Africa. I'm not gonna go Southrica. I

- 54:06Speaker 1: enough you subject nothing is free over here. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:10Speaker 1: I'm thirty nine years old and I'm twice divorced and
- 54:13Speaker 1: back on the dating scene. When I got married the
- 54:16Speaker 1: first time, I was twenty two years old and I
- 54:19Speaker 1: married an NFL player. We date it during high school,
- 54:22Speaker 1: and he promised to treat me like a princess if
- 54:24Speaker 1: I ever married him. When he proposed, I got a
- 54:28Speaker 1: range rover, a ring, and the keys to a retail space.
- 54:31Speaker 1: He told me I could open up any type of
- 54:34Speaker 1: business I wanted. We divorced after six years, and I
- 54:39Speaker 1: had never opened up a clothing store or a nail
- 54:41Speaker 1: salon like I told him I would. He told me
- 54:44Speaker 1: I was extremely selfish and he was tired of his
- 54:48Speaker 1: needs not being met. I was meeting all of his
- 54:52Speaker 1: needs sexually, and I would always look amazing whenever we
- 54:55Speaker 1: went out together. Soon after we got divorced, I met
- 54:58Speaker 1: an older, wealthy guy and got married after six months
- 55:01Speaker 1: of dating. I had a full staff of people that
- 55:04Speaker 1: catered to my every need. When I turned thirty three,
- 55:07Speaker 1: he filed for divorce and said I had a lot
- 55:10Speaker 1: of growing up to do. He said that I didn't
- 55:12Speaker 1: bring anything to the table and he couldn't hold a
- 55:15Speaker 1: real conversation with me. That hurt, and I had to
- 55:18Speaker 1: do some introspection on how my mother raised me My
- 55:22Speaker 1: mom always had a man in her life that provided
- 55:25Speaker 1: for us, and I never saw her do housework or
- 55:27Speaker 1: go to a real job. I always thought my mom
- 55:30Speaker 1: was so regal because she always wore beautiful long nightgowns
- 55:34Speaker 1: with matching robes and high heeled slippers. She taught me
- 55:37Speaker 1: that if a man wanted a conversation with me, or
- 55:40Speaker 1: dinner with me, and especially sex with me, he had
- 55:43Speaker 1: to pay for it. I've been single for five years,
- 55:46Speaker 1: and nothing's free over here and never will be. So
- 55:50Speaker 1: where are all of the gentlemen and the wealthy men
- 55:52Speaker 1: that don't mind spoiling a woman? A woman? Am I
- 55:55Speaker 1: supposed to lower my standards? Wait? What? I really don't
- 56:02Speaker 1: get the point of this letter. I really don't. I
- 56:05Speaker 1: think you left out a lot in this letter, and
- 56:08Speaker 1: I got to ask you, what is it that you
- 56:09Speaker 1: want from us? I mean, this letter to me is
- 56:12Speaker 1: just really, really shallow. Do you want us to tell
- 56:16Speaker 1: you it's okay to say nothing's free over here and
- 56:19Speaker 1: never will be? Because I don't really know what that means.
- 56:25Speaker 1: If a man wants to be with you, he has
- 56:28Speaker 1: to pay you money. What are you saying? I just
- 56:31Speaker 1: gotta tell you this, any man of substance or wealth
- 56:34Speaker 1: or anything wants something from a woman. Okay, love, loyalty, support, conversation, something,
- 56:45Speaker 1: and both your husbands say you didn't give him that.
- 56:48Speaker 1: You said your most recent husband told you he couldn't
- 56:51Speaker 1: even have a real conversation with you and that you
- 56:54Speaker 1: needed to grow up, so you were immature. You got
- 56:56Speaker 1: to give him more than just pretty. I mean, I'm
- 56:59Speaker 1: assuming that you're beautiful, but beauty is beautiful until it's not,
- 57:04Speaker 1: because it fades. Your first husband said you were selfish.
- 57:08Speaker 1: It's clear that that was all about you in both
- 57:12Speaker 1: the marriages. It was just all about you. You didn't
- 57:14Speaker 1: do your part and they got tired of you. So yes,
- 57:17Speaker 1: it's definitely time for some introspection on your part. But
- 57:20Speaker 1: I don't think the example your mom gave you helps.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I mean, no disrespect, but she's from a different era
- 57:25Speaker 1: and what worked for her obviously isn't serving you. So
- 57:29Speaker 1: after five years of being single, you're asking where are
- 57:31Speaker 1: all the wealthy men who want to spoil a woman.
- 57:33Speaker 1: We have a wealthy man on the show. He's going
- 57:35Speaker 1: to speak in just a moment where all the men
- 57:38Speaker 1: that want to shower you and should you lower your standards, well,
- 57:42Speaker 1: I think wealthy men or where they always are with
- 57:44Speaker 1: the wealthy. I mean they're not at the club. Okay,
- 57:47Speaker 1: they're not there. And as far as your standards, it
- 57:49Speaker 1: doesn't sound like you have any except you want to
- 57:52Speaker 1: do nothing and marry well and then still do nothing. Steve. Well, well, well,
- 58:01Speaker 1: well this letter right here. Have you ever heard the saying,
- 58:07Speaker 1: now here's the letter nothing is free? Over here? Have
- 58:10Speaker 1: you ever heard the saying it might be you? Yeah,
- 58:16Speaker 1: there is a saying everybody. The saying is it might
- 58:21Speaker 1: be you. So I'm going to begin reading this letter slowly,
- 58:28Speaker 1: and as we go, I'm going to point out ways
- 58:33Speaker 1: where you can understand why I'm giving her this saying
- 58:35Speaker 1: that it might be you. I'm thirty nine years old,
- 58:38Speaker 1: I'm twice divorced, and back on the dating scene. It
- 58:42Speaker 1: might be you. It might be when I got married
- 58:46Speaker 1: the first time, I was twenty two years old. I
- 58:49Speaker 1: married an NFL player. We dated during high school, and
- 58:53Speaker 1: he promised to treat me like a princess. Now let's
- 58:57Speaker 1: begin the lessons in this letter. If I would treat
- 59:02Speaker 1: me like a princess if I ever married him. When
- 59:05Speaker 1: he proposed, I got a range rover or ring and
- 59:10Speaker 1: keys to a retail space. And he told me, I
- 59:13Speaker 1: can open up any type of business I want. Now,
- 59:18Speaker 1: let me ask you that. Here's a question, but what
- 59:22Speaker 1: did he get? You got a ring, a range rover,
- 59:28Speaker 1: and a retail space. But what did he get? Here
- 59:36Speaker 1: we go? We divorced after six years, and I had
- 59:40Speaker 1: never opened up a clothing store or nail salon like
- 59:44Speaker 1: I told him I would. Here's the question again. Okay,
- 59:49Speaker 1: well what did he get? I'm just asking what did
- 59:54Speaker 1: he get? You didn't open up to close the store,
- 59:56Speaker 1: to nail salon. You got the ring and the range rover.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: You told him what you was gonna do. You never
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: did six years. He wanted a divorce. What did he get?
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: He told me I was extremely selfish and he was
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: tired of his needs not being met. He was trying
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: to let you know that he wasn't getting something. When
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I come back, it's a letter full of the Stay
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: with me. Hang on, Steve. We'll have bert two of
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters, subject nothing is free over here. We'll
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: today's strawberry letters. Subject nothing is free over here? The
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: subject is nothing is free over here. The subject of
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: the letter I wish was it might be you. So
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna read you the letter quickly, and I'm gonna
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: show you what's wrong with this young lady. I'm thirty
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: nine years old, of twice divorced, and back on the
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Dayton scene. It might be you. When I got married
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: the first time, I was twenty two years old. I
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: married an NFL player. We dated do It high school.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: He promised to treat me like a princess if I
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: ever married him. So here we go. When he proposed,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I gotta range rover ring the keys to a retail space,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and he told me I can open up any type
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: of business. I wanted. Question, but what did he get?
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: We divorced after six years and I had never opened
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: up a clothing store or a nail salon like I
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: told him I would. What because what did he get?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: You got all? Listen, you didn't. He told me I
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: was extremely selfish and was tired of his needs not
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: being met. He was not getting something. Then you said,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I was meeting all of his needs sexually, and I
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: would look amazing whenever we went out together. So you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: thought that was enough. I'm gonna have sex with you
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and I'm gonna look amazing every time we go out.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: You thought that was enough. Obviously it wasn't. What did
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: he get? Ain't nobody gonna live with you just because
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: you look good when you go out and you have sex.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: It's more to this than that, Lady, Here we go.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Soon after we got divorced, Oh oh, that popped off again.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I met an older, wealthy guy and we got married
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: after six months of dayton. I had a full staff
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: of people that catered to my every need. Let me
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: ask this million dollar question again? What did he get?
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I'm just asking, lady, because you keep getting a whole
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: lot of things. But what do he get? When I
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: turned thirty three, he filed for divorce and said I
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: had a lot of growing up to do. He said
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I didn't bring anything to the table and he couldn't
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: hold a real conversation with me. Again, what did he get?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: He just got the girl that dressed up good in
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: hand sex. He can't even have a real conversation with you.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: You need to grow up because these men ain't got nothing.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: You don't bring nothing to the table self how you look,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: and you have sex that is not gonna hold a man. Lady.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Sorry that hurt, and I had to do some introspection
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: on how my mother raised me. Here we go. My
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: mom always had a man in her life that provided
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: for us. I never saw her do housework or go
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to a real job. I always thought my mom was
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: so regal because she always wore beautiful long nightgowns and
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: matching robes and high heels, sleeping slipping. And she taught
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: me that if a man wanted a conversation with me,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: or dinner with me, and especially sexual me, he had
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: to pay for it. Well, well, well, let me go
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: back to this line. My mom always had a man
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: in her life to provide for us. See what did
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: your mama do besides wearing long regal grounds and high heels.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: And the reason your mama always had a man in
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: her life because she always had to go get another one.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: See you didn't say my daddy, you're my step do
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: You said my mom always had a man in her
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: life who provided for us, because she always had to
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: go get a new one, because your mama just wore
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: high heeled slippers and matching robes and long beautiful nightgown.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Here we go, and my mama told me if a
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: man wanted a conversation with me or dinner with me,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: especially with sexual me, he had to pay for him.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Listen to me, We mad, We know we have to
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: pay for it, either directly or indirectly. We know that
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: we have to pay for a woman directly or indirectly.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: You can go to a brothel or a street corner
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: and buy sex directly, or you can whine and die
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: in a woman. The choice is yours. But the payment
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: gonna get made, we are clear about that. But in return,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: what do we get? Because if you want to be
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: in a relationship, it's got to be molding long gowns
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: and high heel slippers and pretty pretty things and sex.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Nobody's staying with you for that for years. So where
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: are all the gentlemen and the wealthy men that don't
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: mind spoiling a woman. It's a lot of gentlemen out here,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: it's a lot of wealthy men out here. They ain't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: got a spoiler woman. They already you already got that.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: You had two of them. You had a man that
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: gave your ranger over a ring and a retail space
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: for you don't open up anything. Then you had a
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: man in here that gave you a full staff of
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: people that cater to your every need. They're out there,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: you keep meeting them, but you don't bring nothing to
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: the table. And just like your mama, you're gonna always
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: have to have a man because you don't bring nothing
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: to the table. Stop blaming this on men. You've had
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: wealthy men that didn't mind spoiling the woman, but you
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: didn't do nothing for them. Tell out. I had sex
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: with them and always looked amazing. So have you looked
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: on Instagram? Don't do it to yourself, girl, Girl, you
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: know how many amazing look at women out there that
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: ain't really do you gotta filter? Am I supposed to
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: lower my standards? No, you're supposed to want something else
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: other than nice things and looking good and passing out sex.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: You need to develop some standards, and you need to
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: pass out something other than some tale, all right. Steve

- 1:21:09Speaker 1: What you got for us today? Well, I want to
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: encourage people again, but I want to share something with
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: each each one of you. There is greatness in all
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: of us. It really is. There is greatness in all
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: of us. But but but some things have to happen
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: to have this greatness come out. First of all, you
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: have to believe that there's something greater for you. That's
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: the first thing you need to do. You need to
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: believe that's something greater for you. But how many times,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: and I'm going to ask you this, how many times
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: have you sat around and said, man, this cannot be
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: my life. That has to be more to my life
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: than this. I think we've all said it at some
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: point in time. So with that in mind, there you
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: have it. I already know that the seed has been
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: planted for the greatness in you to grow. But we
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: got to grow it. See, with this greatness that's in you,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: everybody's bound for greatness, but you got to tap into
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: it because listen to me, God is willing, God is ready,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: and God is available anytime. He's never too busy. He's
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: on call twenty four seven. He's better than nine one one. Okay, well, Steve,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I got all that, But how do I get started?
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Because see, after you know that God is willing, ready
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: and able, what you gotta do is get started. Okay, Steve,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: how do I get started? Okay, first let's get Let
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: me give you some basic stoke. What are your visions
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: in dreams? What are the things that you aspire to?
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: Some of the things you've shared with people, some of
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: the things you never shared. But it's something on the
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: inside of you that's burning. Man, I really wish I
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: could be this. Man. I wish I had this business.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Man I wish I could open this man. I wish
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: I had this career. Man I wish I had disdagree.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Man I wish I had disposition in corporate America. You
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: got something. You gotta have them visions and dreams. After
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you admit and write down your visions and dreams, that
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: has to be an application of faith because everything you
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: write down you have to understand that's your vision for
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: your form of greatness. And if all of us have
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: greatness in us, then that means all of us can
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: be bound to greatness if we get started. And to
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: get started, you need to write down your dreams and visions.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: That's the first thing. That's the thing that God puts
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: in your imagination. That's for you as he gives you
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: signs of what He has for you. After that's the
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: application of faith. You've got to believe that this can
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: happen for you. The best way to get this to
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: happen to you is next. You need to form a
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: connection with God. You need God. Man, listen to me.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: You can help yourself with this relationship with God. You
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: need God. God don't need you. God gonna be God
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: with all the people that then came and went in
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: this world. Don't you know God is still God. God
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: don't need you. We'd have lost some great people in
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: this world, man, and they served a purpose and they
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: had a mission in life, and once it was fulfilled,
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: they got they got called home. But if you don't
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: do it, God to give somebody else to do it.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: After you've written down your dreams and visions, after you've
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: made the application of faith, and after you've made a
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: connection with God. He it is the critical element to
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: it too. All of these are critical. You leave out
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: any one of these and you're messing up the equation.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: So you can't leave out your vision board, your dreams
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: and vision. You can't leave out the application of faith,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the belief that you can do it. You cannot do
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: it without the help of God. And last would not least,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: you cannot do it without developing an incredible work ethic.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: You got to stop sitting around so much. You can't
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: wonder why you ain't got this and you ain't got
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: that when you don't do this and you don't do that.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Stop sitting around so much. Count the idle times, idle minutes,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: that idle hours in your day. You could take those moments,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: those minutes and make them productive. But nah, you're sitting
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: around looking out the window, sitting around watching stories on TV,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: sit around watching cartoons online, looking at other people's lives,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: troll and making comments I'm liking double tapping and all
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: this here, give something for somebody else's double taper. Why
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: you got to be the tapper? Your heart on everybody?
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Damn paid. Put your phone down and pick up your
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: vision board. Put your phone down and pick up your faith.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Put your phone down and develop a relationship with God.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Put your phone down and put some work into these
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: dreams and visions. You are bound for greatness, and greatness
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: is in you. But you have got to do those
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: four things. If you do those four things, greatness is
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: coming your way. That ain't Steve Harvey's theory all less
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: in the Bible. Y'all have a great day. Man. Hope
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: that helps somebody to day. God willing y'all have a
