Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is day three at the Republican National Convention, life
- 0:05Speaker 2: here in Milwaukee at the Panther Arena.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It is great to be with you.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We have got a lot to talk about, including the
- 0:12Speaker 2: fact now that we're getting some breaking news from the
- 0:17Speaker 2: Supreme Court. Biden is seriously considering a proposal on Supreme
- 0:23Speaker 2: Court quote term limits. AP sources are now confirming the
- 0:28Speaker 2: President is quote seriously considering proposal to establish term limits
- 0:32Speaker 2: for the US Supreme Court justice and an ethics code
- 0:35Speaker 2: that would be enforced under law, amid growing concerns the
- 0:39Speaker 2: justice are quote unquote not held accountable.
- 0:41Speaker 1: What is this?
- 0:41Speaker 2: This is about kicking conservatives off the Supreme Court. This
- 0:45Speaker 2: is about getting rid of people like Clarence Thomas, who
- 0:48Speaker 2: they cannot stand because you know, he's not a real
- 0:50Speaker 2: black man. Now that he's a conservative on the Supreme Court,
- 0:53Speaker 2: they want to control the court. They want to have
- 0:56Speaker 2: term limits for the court, and they want to be
- 0:58Speaker 2: able to decide who can be on that court. Also
- 1:00Speaker 2: packed that court. So let me give you a scenario here,
- 1:03Speaker 2: and I'm going to get to everything that happened night
- 1:05Speaker 2: too last night in a moment, but I want to
- 1:07Speaker 2: go over this because it's important what this proposal would
- 1:10Speaker 2: do for Democrats, and there's no but I want to
- 1:14Speaker 2: also be clear, there's no mistake about the timing of this.
- 1:17Speaker 1: They want this to be moving forward.
- 1:19Speaker 2: As Republicans are in Milwaukee and everyone's talking about Donald
- 1:23Speaker 2: Trump and everybody's talking about the assassination attempt that they
- 1:27Speaker 2: are like, okay, never let a crisis go to waste.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Do you remember that? That's what this administration believes. It's
- 1:37Speaker 2: what Obama preached, never ever let a crisis go to waste.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So you've got a crisis right now.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Everybody's talking about the Secret Service protection everbody's talking about
- 1:45Speaker 2: the Secret Service director and what she had to say
- 1:48Speaker 2: about the the roof wasn't it was sloped and therefore
- 1:52Speaker 2: they couldn't get up there, and it was unsafe to
- 1:54Speaker 2: be on top, even though there was a guy that
- 1:55Speaker 2: was clearly had sighted the president and an easy way
- 1:58Speaker 2: to take a shot at the president. That is obviously
- 2:01Speaker 2: the crisis. So what does the White House do? They said, Hey,
- 2:04Speaker 2: now's the time to talk about getting this going. Now's
- 2:06Speaker 2: the time for us to push this moving forward. President
- 2:09Speaker 2: Joe Biden again is seriously considering this proposal. For term limits,
- 2:15Speaker 2: and the term limits would be something that I think
- 2:17Speaker 2: are very, very, very significant. The term limits here would
- 2:22Speaker 2: be a way to not only get rid of justices quickly,
- 2:27Speaker 2: but if the court is too conservative for the liking
- 2:30Speaker 2: of the Democrats and they get power, they'll just kick
- 2:34Speaker 2: you off the Supreme Court. That's what they're going to do.
- 2:38Speaker 2: This would mark a quote major shift for Biden, the
- 2:41Speaker 2: former head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who has long
- 2:43Speaker 2: reasons it calls to reform the High Court. Since taking office, however,
- 2:47Speaker 2: he has been increasingly vocal, even chastising the Supreme Court
- 2:50Speaker 2: while they were sitting in front of him in a
- 2:52Speaker 2: State of the Union, about his belief that the Court
- 2:54Speaker 2: is abandoning mainstream constitutional interpretation. I don't believe that he
- 2:59Speaker 2: knows anything about the Constitution right now in his cognitive decline,
- 3:03Speaker 2: but this is what the White House is saying. The
- 3:05Speaker 2: details are first reported by the Washington Post. Any changes
- 3:10Speaker 2: would require Congressional approval, which would be unlikely in a
- 3:13Speaker 2: divided Congress. But the Republican nominee Trump bragging about putting
- 3:18Speaker 2: the three justice on the High Court who are now
- 3:20Speaker 2: part of the conservative majority. Biden is now calling and
- 3:23Speaker 2: Democrats are not calling for major changes that could help
- 3:28Speaker 2: get voters excited. So part of this is about voter outreach.
- 3:32Speaker 2: And let me tie this back into the number one
- 3:35Speaker 2: thing that Democrats are using on the Supreme Court issue,
- 3:39Speaker 2: that is the overturning of Roe v.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Wade.
- 3:41Speaker 2: They have tested this, they have polled it, they have
- 3:44Speaker 2: tested the messaging, and you're going to hear about a
- 3:47Speaker 2: women's right to choose and the attack on women's bodies.
- 3:50Speaker 1: At the Democratic Convention.
- 3:51Speaker 2: It's going to be a center point for Joe Biden
- 3:53Speaker 2: as he travels and his surrogates to say that if
- 3:56Speaker 2: women can't get an abortion on demand, then that is
- 3:59Speaker 2: a use of the constitution abuse the Supreme Court. Therefore,
- 4:03Speaker 2: we should overthrow the Supreme Court. We should kick them
- 4:06Speaker 2: off the Supreme Court. Now there's also something else that's happened.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I've talked to you about this guy's several times. There
- 4:14Speaker 2: has been an obsession with the media recently to really
- 4:18Speaker 2: go after Justice Thomas, and they are going after him
- 4:23Speaker 2: for all sorts of things, many of them that are legitimate,
- 4:26Speaker 2: like literally made up, because they're trying to delegitimize the
- 4:30Speaker 2: Supreme Court.
- 4:32Speaker 1: When Roe v. Wade happened.
- 4:33Speaker 2: You saw that this is a party that is is
- 4:36Speaker 2: a party of lawlessness.
- 4:37Speaker 1: The Democratic Party is dead.
- 4:39Speaker 2: They are actually socialists, communists, Marxists who have masked themselves
- 4:44Speaker 2: as Democrats because they know they just can't straight up
- 4:46Speaker 2: say I'm a Marxist, I'm a socialist as a party,
- 4:48Speaker 2: as a group. But what did they do when Roe v.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Wade was coming down? Somebody in the Supreme Court and
- 4:54Speaker 2: you and of course you know, our government officials can't
- 4:57Speaker 2: find out who the leaker is. We don't know who
- 4:58Speaker 2: the leaker is, right leaked this opinion beforehand. They then
- 5:04Speaker 2: the Democratic machine made sure that everybody knew where the
- 5:07Speaker 2: Supreme Court justices actually lived. And there was one person
- 5:12Speaker 2: that was even arrested who had the intent to kill
- 5:14Speaker 2: a conservative justice had was found not far from their
- 5:18Speaker 2: house with am with firearms locked and loaded. Thank goodness
- 5:22Speaker 2: they caught that person. But what they did and is
- 5:26Speaker 2: a federal offense to intimidate a judge, okay, at any level,
- 5:32Speaker 2: much less the Supreme Court justice. As they were hoping
- 5:35Speaker 2: that by releasing the early opinion right that Roe v.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Way was going to be overturned, that there would be
- 5:41Speaker 2: such outrage that one or two of the justices within
- 5:45Speaker 2: you know, bend over and say, hey, it's not worth
- 5:48Speaker 2: my life. Right, it's not worth my life. The public
- 5:52Speaker 2: pressure has gotten to me. I'm going to just let
- 5:54Speaker 2: this thing slide. That is the big problem here now.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Any change, and as I mentioned a moment ago, would
- 6:01Speaker 2: require congressional approval. That is not going to happen in
- 6:05Speaker 2: a divide in Congress. But what this is about is
- 6:08Speaker 2: making election issue. And it's again, if you want to
- 6:11Speaker 2: change how the Supreme Court works, you're gonna have to
- 6:14Speaker 2: change how the Supreme Court works with the American people
- 6:17Speaker 2: in their mind to convince them, yeah, we should change this. Yes,
- 6:20Speaker 2: Supreme Court shouldn't be lifetime appointments. Yes, Supreme Court should
- 6:23Speaker 2: be have in essence term limits. Like that's what they're
- 6:27Speaker 2: going to want to do here. That's that's how you
- 6:30Speaker 2: soften it up. So you make this a political issue,
- 6:33Speaker 2: You make it an issue for this presidential election with
- 6:36Speaker 2: Roe v. Wade, and then you go out there and
- 6:38Speaker 2: you say, hey, if you elect me, I will get
- 6:41Speaker 2: I will then fundamentally change the Supreme Court.
- 6:45Speaker 1: I will change it. Things are going to be different.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You don't have to worry about Trump, you know, putting
- 6:49Speaker 2: three justices on there.
- 6:50Speaker 1: We'll just get rid of them.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And this ethics aspect of this rule is actually about
- 6:56Speaker 2: just straight up kicking people off the Supreme Court. We
- 7:00Speaker 2: don't like you, we gain power, we come after you.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Congress comes after you, and we say, okay, hey, we
- 7:05Speaker 2: don't like Crince Thomas, we don't like Escalia, we don't
- 7:09Speaker 2: like an Alito, we don't like we don't like you know,
- 7:12Speaker 2: whoever the person and whatever the person's name is on
- 7:14Speaker 2: the Supreme Court, will just start getting the media to
- 7:18Speaker 2: go after you for some ethics thing, which we can,
- 7:21Speaker 2: by the way, make up, right, we can. We can
- 7:24Speaker 2: literally just straight up make it up. We can, and
- 7:28Speaker 2: then we'll go with it, and then we'll say that
- 7:31Speaker 2: everything's terrible now. Biden is also considering calling for a
- 7:36Speaker 2: constitutional moment that would eliminate quote, the broad immunity for presidents.
- 7:41Speaker 2: So this is a two part proposal. Again, never let
- 7:45Speaker 2: a crisis go to waste. So he's considering also calling
- 7:48Speaker 2: for a constantial amendment that would eliminate the broad immunity
- 7:51Speaker 2: for presidents granted by the Court in its most recent term.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Why because they want to.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Go after Donald Trump again, and they want to go
- 7:58Speaker 2: after him if he wins re election. Donald Trump claimed
- 8:01Speaker 2: he was immune from prosecution for his actions on January
- 8:03Speaker 2: the sixth, when a mob of his quote supporters, the
- 8:06Speaker 2: media said violently descended on the US capital. Not exactly accurate,
- 8:11Speaker 2: but hey, let's just go with that narrative for a second,
- 8:13Speaker 2: because that's the narrative that they're going to use to
- 8:15Speaker 2: get this pass. The people were not authorized to speak publicly,
- 8:19Speaker 2: of course, about the proposal that have not been finalized,
- 8:23Speaker 2: and they spoke to the AP again, never letting a
- 8:25Speaker 2: crisis go to waste, to then push two radical agenda
- 8:28Speaker 2: items on the American people the week after Donald Trump
- 8:32Speaker 2: was shot.
- 8:34Speaker 1: These people are evil.
- 8:36Speaker 3: I want to take a moment and I want to
- 8:37Speaker 3: ask for your help. The w're in Israel started on
- 8:40Speaker 3: October the seventh. We have seen death and destruction in
- 8:44Speaker 3: the Holy Land for more than forty years. The International
- 8:47Speaker 3: Fellowship of Christians and Jews has been on the ground
- 8:50Speaker 3: in Israel, and within hours of the war starting, and
- 8:53Speaker 3: every day since they've been feeding the hungary and protecting
- 8:57Speaker 3: the vulnerable. You may not realize, but Israel, he's literally
- 9:00Speaker 3: under attack. Now on a daily basis, with rockets coming in.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Those that are surrounding Israel are doing everything they can
- 9:09Speaker 3: to take them out. The attacks continue in the North
- 9:12Speaker 3: and the South, but there are resilient survivors who bravely
- 9:17Speaker 3: share their stories. In a series the Fellowship calls Faces
- 9:20Speaker 3: of Iron Survivors like Danny. His beloved daughter and her
- 9:25Speaker 3: husband were burned alive on October the seventh by Hamas Terras.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Danny is a commander of the volunteer fire and rescue
- 9:33Speaker 3: group in his community. Despite fire equipment nearby, Danny could
- 9:37Speaker 3: do nothing as his daughter's house burned and his daughter
- 9:41Speaker 3: and her husband lost their lives. Christians like you support
- 9:45Speaker 3: Israel through the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. It's
- 9:49Speaker 3: his support that helps these survivors remain steadfast and strong.
- 9:53Speaker 3: To hear more stories like this one and show your
- 9:56Speaker 3: support for Israel. Please stand with me and visit support
- 10:00Speaker 3: IFCJ dot org. That's support I f CJ dot org.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Support i FCJ dot org.
- 10:10Speaker 2: I also want to pivot and I want to deal
- 10:13Speaker 2: with another issue, and that is the Secret Service Director.
- 10:16Speaker 2: The Secret Service Director, and this has been a conversation
- 10:19Speaker 2: that I've had with everybody I've seen at this convention,
- 10:22Speaker 2: every elected official. New Gingrich and I were talking about
- 10:25Speaker 2: this last night. It is all that anyone's talking about
- 10:28Speaker 2: as a Secret Service and the interview that the Secret
- 10:32Speaker 2: Service director did. Now, the White House has made it
- 10:35Speaker 2: clear departmenthand Security, my orchist, has made it clear they
- 10:38Speaker 2: have her full backing.
- 10:40Speaker 1: She's their DEI Higher.
- 10:42Speaker 2: They're going to save her at all costs is what
- 10:44Speaker 2: they're going with now. But some of the lies that
- 10:47Speaker 2: are just coming out. And look, there's a lot of
- 10:50Speaker 2: Secret Service that are here. Obviously there was going to
- 10:53Speaker 2: be a lot here. I think there's even more here
- 10:55Speaker 2: because of what happened. I've talked to a lot of them.
- 10:57Speaker 2: They're upset because they can't believe the incompetence of the leadership.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I talked last night to three different Secret Service individuals
- 11:06Speaker 2: who look they're angry. I want you to understand, they
- 11:09Speaker 2: are very very angry. It makes them look bad. This
- 11:12Speaker 2: is not who they want to be, This is not
- 11:16Speaker 2: how they want to be looked at. They are just
- 11:18Speaker 2: extremely angry and frustrated, and it is one of those
- 11:22Speaker 2: things that just they're really really really really really furious
- 11:26Speaker 2: about and they should be by the way, they should
- 11:29Speaker 2: be angry, they should be frustrated. And it's when you
- 11:34Speaker 2: dedicate yourself and you're willing to take a bullet for
- 11:37Speaker 2: your protectee, and then you watch what happened, and look
- 11:40Speaker 2: they're getting Let's make no mistake, the Secret Service is
- 11:43Speaker 2: getting decimated right now. They are being attacked on a
- 11:45Speaker 2: level that we just haven't seen in a very long time.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And I think it's justified for all the questions. But
- 11:54Speaker 2: I said this day one, I don't think the men
- 11:58Speaker 2: and women that were on the ground there we're doing
- 12:01Speaker 2: anything but their job protecting the president. I think that
- 12:06Speaker 2: can be true, while also knowing that the higher ups
- 12:09Speaker 2: who make the decision on how much protection you get
- 12:12Speaker 2: can screw up or this could even be more nefarious
- 12:16Speaker 2: than that.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I am not a.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I say this because I want to be so cautious,
- 12:21Speaker 2: and I feel even more confident in the men and
- 12:24Speaker 2: women at the street level that are actually willing to
- 12:27Speaker 2: risk their lives for a president or a protectee, especially
- 12:31Speaker 2: after talking to a lot of them here at the convention.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And what I have learned.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Is that right now you've got a lot of people
- 12:41Speaker 2: who are upset, they're frustrated. They're angry, they're mad, and
- 12:47Speaker 2: they are frustrated that they're being treated this way where
- 12:50Speaker 2: they're just being attacked. I want you to listen to
- 12:53Speaker 2: the Secret Service director in part of her interview, take
- 12:57Speaker 2: a listen to this.
- 13:01Speaker 1: The shooter was.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Actually identified as a potential the person of the suspicion.
- 13:09Speaker 4: By the time that individual was eventually located, they were
- 13:12Speaker 4: on the rooftop and were able to fire off at
- 13:17Speaker 4: the former president.
- 13:18Speaker 5: The director of the Secret Service is under pressure following
- 13:21Speaker 5: the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump as lawmakers
- 13:24Speaker 5: demand answers on how this tragedy could have happened. Chat
- 13:27Speaker 5: programs Live on the Hill with more Are they going
- 13:29Speaker 5: to get some answers?
- 13:32Speaker 6: Good morning, Dana Well. Bipartisan lawmakers are seething over what
- 13:35Speaker 6: went wrong. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle appears for a
- 13:39Speaker 6: hearing Monday before the House Oversight Committee. Cheatle says she
- 13:43Speaker 6: will not resign.
- 13:46Speaker 1: The book stops with me.
- 13:47Speaker 4: I am the director of the Secret Service. It was
- 13:49Speaker 4: unacceptable and it's something that shouldn't happen again. We will
- 13:52Speaker 4: be transparent, both internally with my own folks and externally
- 13:56Speaker 4: with members of Congress and with the American public.
- 13:59Speaker 1: That's what the public deserves.
- 14:01Speaker 6: Two virtual briefings today for two separate House committees, the
- 14:05Speaker 6: Homeland Security Committee and the Oversight Committee. Lawmakers are mystified
- 14:09Speaker 6: at the spectacular level of security failures.
- 14:13Speaker 7: They're all appalled that someone could climb that roof and
- 14:17Speaker 7: be noticed and stay on that route for so long
- 14:21Speaker 7: without anyone doing anything about it, with the President.
- 14:24Speaker 1: United States speaking just one hundred.
- 14:26Speaker 7: And fifty yards from there.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Now, Comer is requesting all documents and recordings related to
- 14:32Speaker 6: the rally. He also wants a list of all personnel
- 14:35Speaker 6: and their responsibilities. Local law enforcement may also face questions.
- 14:41Speaker 8: I want to talk to the local police officer who
- 14:44Speaker 8: confronted the bad guy, who confronted the assassin. I would
- 14:48Speaker 8: love to talk to the Secret Service agent who took
- 14:50Speaker 8: the shot, the counter sniper who took out the bad guy,
- 14:52Speaker 8: because how soon did he know? So I think all
- 14:55Speaker 8: those are important questions that we need answers to to
- 14:58Speaker 8: find out what went wrong here.
- 15:01Speaker 6: Now, the Senate Homeland Security Committee plans a hearing before
- 15:04Speaker 6: August first the House Judiciary Committee. Here's from FBI Director
- 15:08Speaker 6: Christopher Ray next Wednesday that hearing was already planned. But
- 15:13Speaker 6: there will be lots of questions about the shooting.
- 15:17Speaker 2: So you listen to that new report and there are
- 15:19Speaker 2: a lot of people that are asking a lot of questions.
- 15:22Speaker 1: This is a.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Just colossal screw up by the FBI leadership and the
- 15:29Speaker 2: director of the Secret Service facing this blistering criticism as
- 15:33Speaker 2: she should, after claiming during this interview that personnel were
- 15:37Speaker 2: not positioned on top of the building where the Trump
- 15:39Speaker 2: rally shooter opened fire because quote, it was a sloped roof,
- 15:43Speaker 2: despite images showing cnyper set up on an exact sloped
- 15:47Speaker 2: roof at the same slope behind the former presidens podium.
- 15:52Speaker 2: The Secret Service director is an idiot. She should resign,
- 15:56Speaker 2: She should be fired. She should actually just be fired.
- 16:00Speaker 2: She shouldn't just she didn't even have the chance to resign.
- 16:03Speaker 2: She's not going anywhere because what the Democrats do well,
- 16:06Speaker 2: they always protect their own. Why did the US Secret
- 16:11Speaker 2: Service Director Kimberly make these remarks during this interview with
- 16:14Speaker 2: ABC News because she expected that she could get away
- 16:18Speaker 2: with the lies. She said, Hey, the agency was aware
- 16:22Speaker 2: of the security vulnerabilities presented by the building that the
- 16:26Speaker 2: shooter took. That sniper position on and aimed at Trump.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Quote.
- 16:30Speaker 2: That building in particular has a sloped roof at its
- 16:33Speaker 2: highest point, and so you know there's a safety factor
- 16:36Speaker 2: that would be considered there that we wouldn't want to
- 16:39Speaker 2: put somebody up on a sloped roof. And so you know,
- 16:41Speaker 2: the decision was made to secure the building from inside.
- 16:44Speaker 2: She said, So there were law enforcements inside the building. Well,
- 16:48Speaker 2: if you're not seeing a guy climb up on top
- 16:51Speaker 2: of the roof, what good does that do? Now there
- 16:54Speaker 2: are so many people that are just ripping this sloped
- 16:57Speaker 2: roof and it's not safe because the snipe rapers that
- 17:00Speaker 2: took him out were on a sloped roof.
- 17:04Speaker 1: That's where they were. They were on a sloped roof. Quote.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Are snipers used to set in on mountaintops in Afghanistan
- 17:16Speaker 2: on the downslope if needed? That is what former Army
- 17:19Speaker 2: ranger Sean Parnell wrote on Twitter, calling her explanation a
- 17:25Speaker 2: total BS excuse.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Quote.
- 17:27Speaker 2: The stupidity of this statement explained so much of why
- 17:31Speaker 2: the blank hit the fan that day. Absolute incompetence, This
- 17:37Speaker 2: sad excuse about Defy's believability. The snipers above President Trump
- 17:43Speaker 2: were on a sloped roof, So why couldn't they secure
- 17:46Speaker 2: the slope roof that the assassin was on. That's what
- 17:50Speaker 2: Jim Demant, a former US Senator from South Carolina said, quote,
- 17:54Speaker 2: she should have been fired days ago. We need accountability. Ironically,
- 18:01Speaker 2: the snipers who are behind Trump during the rally.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Again, this is going back to the facts.
- 18:07Speaker 2: We're on a sloped roof, and she says, we can't
- 18:12Speaker 2: put them on a sloped roof. These Secret Service agents
- 18:18Speaker 2: that I've talked to, they are very, very, very very angry.
- 18:23Speaker 2: They are upset. They don't like the fact that they're
- 18:27Speaker 2: being drug through the mud. So many of them are
- 18:30Speaker 2: incredible men and women. So many of them love the
- 18:34Speaker 2: job that they do. They love working for the Secret Service.
- 18:38Speaker 2: They love protecting their protectees. That's what they want to do.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Like that's it. That's what they want to do. And
- 18:46Speaker 2: it is truly amazing to me that this excuse is
- 18:52Speaker 2: going to stand. But at the same time, no one
- 18:55Speaker 2: should be surprised because this is the lack of account
- 19:00Speaker 2: ability of the President of the United States of America
- 19:03Speaker 2: and his administration. Remember her boss, Mayorcis said to your
- 19:09Speaker 2: face over and over again for the last three and
- 19:11Speaker 2: a half years. The border is secure. The border is secure.
- 19:13Speaker 2: He said that in congressional testimony. The border is secure.
- 19:17Speaker 2: The border is secure. So if he believes that he
- 19:23Speaker 2: can walk out, and as millions are crossing the border,
- 19:26Speaker 2: tell you the border of secure and there's no accountability.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Why would she believe that she would need to step
- 19:31Speaker 2: down from her position after Donald Trump almost gets killed.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Let that sink in.
- 19:40Speaker 2: It was a dangerous roof and Secret Service couldn't get
- 19:43Speaker 2: on that roof safely or securely. The same exact slope
- 19:48Speaker 2: of that roof is the slope that the sniper team
- 19:52Speaker 2: was on that took him out.
- 19:55Speaker 1: The shooter.
- 19:56Speaker 2: There are a lot of people that cannot believe that
- 19:58Speaker 2: this woman is in charge of se Service after this
- 20:01Speaker 2: massive failure, and how she hasn't been fired. She is
- 20:04Speaker 2: doing interviews and the Biden administration is protecting her. It
- 20:09Speaker 2: is disgusting. The Secret Service Diructor says she will not
- 20:12Speaker 2: resign after the Trump assassination attempt. Now, if you can
- 20:17Speaker 2: have a security lapse where less than two hundred yards away,
- 20:20Speaker 2: you have a sniper on a building that can take
- 20:24Speaker 2: what many described it as like the perfect shot in
- 20:27Speaker 2: the perfect angle to take out a president. If that
- 20:31Speaker 2: doesn't get you fired, is there anything in the Biden
- 20:35Speaker 2: administration that can get you fired? Remember, my orchis the
- 20:39Speaker 2: border is secure, of the border secure, and what has happened,
- 20:41Speaker 2: he has not had to worry at all about being fired.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Take a listen to this. The shooter was.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Actually identified as a potential the version of the suspicion.
- 20:54Speaker 4: By the time that individual was eventually located, they were
- 20:58Speaker 4: on the rooftop and were to fire off at the
- 21:02Speaker 4: former president.
- 21:03Speaker 5: The director of the Secret Service is under pressure following
- 21:06Speaker 5: the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump, as lawmakers
- 21:10Speaker 5: demand answers on how this tragedy could have happened. Chad
- 21:13Speaker 5: programs Live on the Hill with more. Are they going
- 21:15Speaker 5: to get some answers?
- 21:17Speaker 1: Good morning, Dana, We'll buy.
- 21:18Speaker 6: Partisan lawmakers are seething over what went wrong. Secret Service
- 21:22Speaker 6: Director Kimberly Cheatle appears for a hearing Monday before the
- 21:26Speaker 6: House Oversight Committee. Cheatle says she will not resign.
- 21:31Speaker 1: The book stops with me.
- 21:32Speaker 4: I am the director of the Secret Service. It was
- 21:35Speaker 4: unacceptable and it's something that shouldn't happen.
- 21:37Speaker 6: Ken.
- 21:37Speaker 4: We will be transparent both internally with my own folks
- 21:41Speaker 4: and externally with members of Congress and with the American public.
- 21:44Speaker 1: That's what the public deserves.
- 21:46Speaker 6: Two virtual briefings today for two separate House committees, the
- 21:50Speaker 6: Homeland Security Committee and the Oversight Committee. Lawmakers are mystified
- 21:55Speaker 6: at the spectacular level of security failures.
- 21:59Speaker 7: They're that someone could find that route and be noticed
- 22:04Speaker 7: and stay on that roof for so long without anyone
- 22:08Speaker 7: doing anything about it, with the President United States speaking
- 22:11Speaker 7: just one hundred and fifty yards from it.
- 22:14Speaker 9: Now.
- 22:14Speaker 6: Comer is requesting all documents and recordings related to the rally.
- 22:18Speaker 6: He also wants a list of all personnel and their responsibilities.
- 22:22Speaker 6: Local law enforcement may also face questions.
- 22:26Speaker 8: I want to talk to the local police officer who
- 22:29Speaker 8: confronted the bad guy, who confronted the assassin. I would
- 22:33Speaker 8: love to talk to the secret Service agent who took
- 22:35Speaker 8: the shot, the counter sniper who took out the bad guy,
- 22:38Speaker 8: because how soon did he know? So? I think all
- 22:40Speaker 8: those are important questions that we need answers to to
- 22:43Speaker 8: find out what went wrong here.
- 22:46Speaker 6: Now, the Senate Homeland Security Committee plans a hearing before August. First,
- 22:51Speaker 6: the House Judiciary Committee. Here's from FBI Director Christopher Ray. Next, Wednesday,
- 22:56Speaker 6: that hearing was already planned, that there will be lots
- 22:59Speaker 6: of questions about the shootings.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Dan, you listen to this and the FBI director again,
- 23:06Speaker 2: she's making excuses what this administration does. There's also reports
- 23:13Speaker 2: out that the first thing that they did was crisis management,
- 23:19Speaker 2: not investigation of how this went wrong, but protection of
- 23:25Speaker 2: protecting the administration from criticism. That's not okay, Like if
- 23:31Speaker 2: your first instinct here was to actually protect the institution
- 23:37Speaker 2: and the leadership, because you know it's such a problem
- 23:40Speaker 2: that you just you go in the opposite direction here,
- 23:44Speaker 2: you got to be like crazy, That's not what your
- 23:48Speaker 2: job should have been, and they went into pr crisis mode.
- 23:52Speaker 2: She was also asked in this new interview about law
- 23:55Speaker 2: enforcement and those that actually saw the shooter.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Take a listen to this.
- 24:00Speaker 10: When you said that local law enforcement was responsible for
- 24:03Speaker 10: that building.
- 24:04Speaker 6: What did you mean by that?
- 24:05Speaker 10: So Secret Service respects local law enforcement, and we could
- 24:09Speaker 10: not do our job, either investigatively or on our protective
- 24:11Speaker 10: mission without them in Pennsylvania. In fact, on that same
- 24:15Speaker 10: day they were also working the first Lady trip and
- 24:18Speaker 10: a vice presidential trip. So I understand the constraints that
- 24:22Speaker 10: they're under and as I said earlier, we couldn't do
- 24:24Speaker 10: our job without them. At that particular site. We divided
- 24:27Speaker 10: up areas of responsibility, but the Secret Service is totally
- 24:31Speaker 10: responsible for the design and the impliplication and the execution
- 24:35Speaker 10: of the site. And that's what I was trying to stress,
- 24:38Speaker 10: was that we just divided up areas of responsibility and
- 24:40Speaker 10: they provided support to those areas of responsibility.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I mean again, no accountability. No one has been fired.
- 24:54Speaker 2: You have a president that is shot at from one
- 24:57Speaker 2: hundred and sixty yards away from a perfect position on
- 25:00Speaker 2: roof where they inside the building below. There's law enforcement
- 25:05Speaker 2: and zero accountability at all. Zero, zero accountability. Eric Trump
- 25:14Speaker 2: saying this about Joe Biden comparing to his father, and
- 25:19Speaker 2: what all has happened in the fight between the two
- 25:21Speaker 2: men and the difference between the two men.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Here's Eric Trump in his own words.
- 25:26Speaker 9: So we're waiting for the investigation. We all want answers
- 25:29Speaker 9: to understand how in fact this could have happened. Some
- 25:31Speaker 9: of the delegates here are wearing white bandages on their
- 25:34Speaker 9: ear on their right ear, in a lighthearted show of
- 25:36Speaker 9: solidarity with President Trump. We spoke with Ronnie Jackson, the
- 25:43Speaker 9: former physician of the White House physician for three presidents,
- 25:48Speaker 9: including President Trump.
- 25:49Speaker 1: He said, the ear will heal.
- 25:53Speaker 9: Is President Trump feeling any pain or anything like that?
- 25:57Speaker 11: He was saying it was the worst erech he's ever had.
- 26:00Speaker 11: Right after it happened. That has some like, how are
- 26:01Speaker 11: you going?
- 26:01Speaker 1: He's like, it's pretty better, right, I couldn't leave.
- 26:04Speaker 9: The other day he said, oh, it was like the worst.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Mosquito every But it's he's so tough.
- 26:10Speaker 11: You know, you literally see the vapor trail of the
- 26:12Speaker 11: bullet in that incredible New York Times picture.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Yeah, literally go through the air.
- 26:14Speaker 11: But you know that picture will go down as one
- 26:16Speaker 11: of the I think most iconic pictures in the United
- 26:19Speaker 11: States history. Again, you know, people react in moments like that.
- 26:22Speaker 11: That's pure adrenaline. And he stood up, and he has
- 26:25Speaker 11: ten Secret Service ages trying to hold him down, and
- 26:28Speaker 11: he's got blood running down the side of his face,
- 26:29Speaker 11: and he puts his hand up. Fight, fight, fight. And
- 26:32Speaker 11: I'm not sure if you heard it when my white
- 26:33Speaker 11: was speaking last night and during some of the other speeches,
- 26:35Speaker 11: but people would just stand up, they put their hand
- 26:37Speaker 11: in the air. Fight, fight, fight, And I saw that, Maria,
- 26:40Speaker 11: That's what this country needs. And man, we have a
- 26:42Speaker 11: guy in there who doesn't fight. I don't know if
- 26:44Speaker 11: he knows he's alive. He you know, he can't walk
- 26:47Speaker 11: across a room, he can't get through a sentence. He
- 26:49Speaker 11: certainly couldn't do an interview like this off the cuff.
- 26:51Speaker 11: I mean, you know, we don't have a cheerleader. We
- 26:53Speaker 11: don't have a fighter, We don't have anybody who's competent.
- 26:55Speaker 11: We don't have people working long hours. You know, it's
- 26:57Speaker 11: it's a joke. I mean half the White House is
- 26:59Speaker 11: still working remotely based on COVID if you could possibly believe,
- 27:03Speaker 11: I mean, think about our White House still working remotely.
- 27:06Speaker 11: And why don't we don't have anybody fighting for this
- 27:09Speaker 11: country anymore? And you know, I don't care if you're
- 27:10Speaker 11: a Republican or a Democrat. I don't care what political
- 27:13Speaker 11: affiliation you were. No one in the world can't say
- 27:15Speaker 11: that Donald Trump wasn't the hardest worker and hard you know,
- 27:18Speaker 11: and best cheerleader the United States has ever happen. I mean,
- 27:21Speaker 11: you come back from China, come back from Asia. He'd
- 27:23Speaker 11: land on Air Force One at you know, three o'clock
- 27:25Speaker 11: in the morning at Andrew's Airporce base, he walk right
- 27:26Speaker 11: up to that picket line, and you know, every reporter
- 27:29Speaker 11: would be shouting questions at him, and he would land
- 27:31Speaker 11: on Marine one back of the White House, same thing,
- 27:33Speaker 11: do another press gaggle. Then he'd be up at six
- 27:35Speaker 11: o'clock in the morning. I mean, the guy was relentless.
- 27:38Speaker 9: Do you feel a different tone after the assassination attempt
- 27:43Speaker 9: from people? I mean, I think unfortunately it took that
- 27:47Speaker 9: for some people to recognize Donald Trump's leadership.
- 27:50Speaker 11: Well, I think it's the assassination at tempt. I also
- 27:52Speaker 11: think was the debate that it was such a disaster
- 27:54Speaker 11: that the media can no longer cover for Biden anymore,
- 27:56Speaker 11: and they've lost all their credibility, not shows like yours
- 27:58Speaker 11: and not Fox, but you know everybody else. I did MSNBC, Yes,
- 28:02Speaker 11: I did CNN yesterday, you know, all the big networks.
- 28:05Speaker 11: And I've never been treated with such respect. And by
- 28:07Speaker 11: the way, I was going into those interviews knowing that
- 28:09Speaker 11: I was just he get savagely attacked because a thousand
- 28:12Speaker 11: other times I've done those networks, I've gotten savagely attacked,
- 28:14Speaker 11: and I did. I felt a different temperature, and I
- 28:17Speaker 11: hope some level of stability can keep up. But I
- 28:20Speaker 11: also think the media has realized that he's lost his credibility,
- 28:23Speaker 11: and they told the entire world that somebody's credible, you know,
- 28:26Speaker 11: that somebody was a great genius, the modern day Albert Einstein,
- 28:30Speaker 11: you know, for a four year period of time. Then
- 28:31Speaker 11: he goes out there, he can hardly get to the podium,
- 28:33Speaker 11: and then when he gets up there, it's just a
- 28:34Speaker 11: word salad. And I think they've lost their credibility with
- 28:37Speaker 11: the American people, and I think they have to kind
- 28:39Speaker 11: of tack over to the center a little bit more
- 28:41Speaker 11: than where they've positioned themselves.
- 28:43Speaker 2: I think Eric Trump, in the way he described that
- 28:46Speaker 2: and people win the investigation and how his father's doing
- 28:49Speaker 2: right now is so vitally important for the context that
- 28:55Speaker 2: he was giving in this perspective on his dad now
- 28:59Speaker 2: and wanting answers. Yes, but I think it's shell shocked everyone,
- 29:04Speaker 2: his family, everyone, And that's important. And I also think
- 29:10Speaker 2: you can hear it in his voice like, yes, we
- 29:12Speaker 2: want answers, but we're also just living this moment where
- 29:15Speaker 2: think the Lord that our dad's alive.
- 29:18Speaker 1: There. I mean, it's just a different tone.
- 29:21Speaker 2: It's different here at the Republican Convention it is a
- 29:25Speaker 2: very very very different tone.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Make sure you share this podcast with your family and friends, please,
- 29:31Speaker 3: because a lot of what I just played for you're
- 29:33Speaker 3: not gonna hear on the news.
- 29:35Speaker 1: And I'll see you back here tomorrow
