- 2:06Speaker 1: y'all listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:11Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show man.
- 2:14Speaker 1: God is in a blessing business. I'm in the receiving line. Man.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That's a good feeling, you know. I thank God for
- 2:25Speaker 1: waking me up in the mornings. I really really do.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I thank God for the spirit that he wakes me
- 2:31Speaker 1: up with because I finally, but I finally figured it out.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Such a blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. The
- 2:39Speaker 1: fact that you are up today, the fact that you
- 2:42Speaker 1: just got off working, you driving home, the fact that
- 2:44Speaker 1: you got a job to come home from, the fact
- 2:47Speaker 1: that you got a job to wake up too, whatever
- 2:50Speaker 1: it is, the fact that you can see think here
- 2:54Speaker 1: smeil walk, talk, rhyme, reason, whatever it is, it's a blessing. Man,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it is a blessing. So every time he wakes you up,
- 3:04Speaker 1: it's him saying, hey, I ain't through with you yet. Hey, man,
- 3:09Speaker 1: still got still got some work for you, still putting
- 3:14Speaker 1: you into the plan. And you know, um, I was
- 3:18Speaker 1: talking to a partner mine last night and an analogy
- 3:22Speaker 1: came to me last night of what my life has
- 3:24Speaker 1: been like. And I was just going over my story
- 3:28Speaker 1: with a friend of mine of all some of the
- 3:30Speaker 1: things I had gone through, and he never knew it
- 3:33Speaker 1: because he said, man, you never told me that we
- 3:35Speaker 1: were just talking. One of the things I remember, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: it's kind of equated to my life, was when I
- 3:44Speaker 1: was a little boy and should go to the the store
- 3:47Speaker 1: with my mom and she would let me buy a
- 3:51Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle and uh, I love getting the jigsaw puzzle
- 3:57Speaker 1: because man was it was was just interesting to me.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You know, for those of you to grow up back
- 4:03Speaker 1: in the day, you know, it's kind of cool because
- 4:05Speaker 1: you know, I was telling my partner, you know, it
- 4:06Speaker 1: wasn't no video games to play another So in the wintertime,
- 4:10Speaker 1: a jigsaw puzzle was kind of cool to me. It
- 4:12Speaker 1: gave me something to do. And what we do is
- 4:15Speaker 1: my mother would spread out a piece of newspaper on
- 4:18Speaker 1: the section of the floor, or spread out some newspaper
- 4:21Speaker 1: on the end of a table, and I would buy
- 4:24Speaker 1: a jigsaw puzzle. Now, for those of you, a jigsaw
- 4:29Speaker 1: puzzle comes in a box. There are no instructions. It
- 4:33Speaker 1: just comes in a box and it's simple. You're gonna
- 4:38Speaker 1: dump the pieces out in a pile and you're gonna
- 4:41Speaker 1: try to put the pieces together until it looks like
- 4:45Speaker 1: the picture that's on the cover of the box. That's
- 4:50Speaker 1: as simple as it is. Here is the deal. I
- 4:56Speaker 1: would select a jigsaw puzzle based on the picture that
- 5:03Speaker 1: I liked and if I thought I could do it. Now,
- 5:10Speaker 1: if the jigsaw puzzle, if the picture looked too crazy,
- 5:14Speaker 1: if it looked too intricate, too detailed, I didn't want
- 5:18Speaker 1: that puzzle, you know. And the thing was, back in
- 5:21Speaker 1: the day you got a jigsaw puzzle, you had a
- 5:23Speaker 1: hundred piece puzzles. Four hundred piece puzzles. Man, then they
- 5:27Speaker 1: say a thousand piece puzzle. You go, oh man. So
- 5:32Speaker 1: those were a little difficult for me when I was
- 5:34Speaker 1: a little boy, so I didn't want that. As I
- 5:38Speaker 1: got a little bit older, I had more challenging puzzles,
- 5:42Speaker 1: you know, four fifty five hundred piece puzzles. But I
- 5:47Speaker 1: always picked a picture of something I liked and wanted
- 5:53Speaker 1: to see happen. So it's very simple. You get the
- 5:56Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, you get it home, you open it up,
- 5:58Speaker 1: you dump it out on the tail table. You flip
- 6:01Speaker 1: all the pieces over so you can see them, and
- 6:05Speaker 1: then I would try to saw them based on the
- 6:08Speaker 1: colors on the box. If it was like a black section,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'd take all the black pieces and slide them over there.
- 6:15Speaker 1: If it was some flowers, I try to find all
- 6:17Speaker 1: the pictures with little jigsaw pieces with the little floor,
- 6:21Speaker 1: and I separate them and then I started putting it together.
- 6:24Speaker 1: And the way I started was I try to build
- 6:26Speaker 1: a border first, because I knew all the straight edges
- 6:29Speaker 1: had to be side by side at one point, so
- 6:32Speaker 1: I'd go like that. And it was funny, man, because
- 6:36Speaker 1: it's related to my life. I would start putting the
- 6:40Speaker 1: pieces together of the picture I saw that I liked,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and that would be my picture. And oftentimes when I
- 6:49Speaker 1: got through it, the puzzle, the puzzle would be about
- 6:53Speaker 1: maybe two feet wide two feet high, something like that.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I liked them about that side. Sometimes I get a
- 7:00Speaker 1: little bigger one pin on the size of the piece
- 7:03Speaker 1: of stuff, and I would make that puzzle. A lot
- 7:06Speaker 1: of people didn't like jigsaw puzzles. The majority of people
- 7:11Speaker 1: I knew and my friends didn't like jigsaw puzzles because
- 7:14Speaker 1: they didn't like the work. And I had a partner
- 7:17Speaker 1: that used to come to my house and see mine
- 7:19Speaker 1: and get mad, and he'd go home and start wanting.
- 7:23Speaker 1: He'd get too difficult along the way, and then he'd
- 7:25Speaker 1: stopped go back to it, and his puzzle was left
- 7:29Speaker 1: unfinished a lot of time. As a matter of fact,
- 7:32Speaker 1: none of the boys on the street like jigsaw puzzles.
- 7:35Speaker 1: But me. What happened was, as I got older, I
- 7:40Speaker 1: wanted more difficult than challenging puzzles, but I wouldn't go
- 7:44Speaker 1: too far. I wanted some nice stuff to happen. I
- 7:48Speaker 1: had a picture of what I wanted for my life,
- 7:51Speaker 1: but I didn't want to go too far because it
- 7:54Speaker 1: was so challenging and difficult. I couldn't see myself at
- 7:58Speaker 1: all of that, and I didn't have it time. The
- 8:01Speaker 1: knowledge of the expertise to figuring all the intricate detail.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And I discovered something when I was talking last night.
- 8:10Speaker 1: That's what happens in life to a lot of people.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You get bogged down with the details of coming up.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You said, ah, that puzzles are crazy. Next thing, you know,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you crumble it up and put it back in the box.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So you go halfway and you get stuck and you
- 8:25Speaker 1: get to the part where it ain't a lot of
- 8:26Speaker 1: different colors. It's all the same, and that's a little
- 8:29Speaker 1: bit more challenging. So that may stop you. But it's
- 8:31Speaker 1: somewhere in the jigsaw puzzle that it gets very difficult
- 8:35Speaker 1: and challenging. The bigger the picture you want, but then
- 8:39Speaker 1: what a happened in your life, it's just like what
- 8:43Speaker 1: a happened in the jigsaw. Once you get comfortable and
- 8:48Speaker 1: you don't mind the challenge, you could get a bigger picture.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But here's the key to it, though, if you put
- 8:56Speaker 1: God in your mix. See the picture that I saw
- 9:00Speaker 1: for myself as a boy is not the picture that
- 9:04Speaker 1: has happened to me as a man. Because along the
- 9:08Speaker 1: way from boyhood to manhood, from the time I was ten,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you understand what happened along the riding. Now was I
- 9:16Speaker 1: started putting God in the mix. And so now the
- 9:20Speaker 1: picture that I have now is not the picture I saw.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's the picture that God saw. So what I'm saying
- 9:28Speaker 1: this analogy is the picture you have may be difficult
- 9:33Speaker 1: to complete. But if you were to include God in
- 9:37Speaker 1: your life, put God in your jigsaw puzzle, God will
- 9:42Speaker 1: not only help you complete the puzzle, and he gonna
- 9:46Speaker 1: add some pieces, he gonna do some favors, he gonna
- 9:50Speaker 1: show some mercy, and you're gonna look up and the
- 9:52Speaker 1: picture that you're able to end up with or be
- 9:55Speaker 1: totally different and much more complete, much more beautiful or
- 9:59Speaker 1: bigger picture than the one you had. Because there's no
- 10:02Speaker 1: way that I could have saw the life that I
- 10:04Speaker 1: have today back when I was a boy. And it
- 10:08Speaker 1: amazes me when I hear people say I always saw
- 10:11Speaker 1: this for myself. I didn't do that. I didn't quite
- 10:14Speaker 1: see this for myself. I don't know how you can
- 10:17Speaker 1: have the ability to see what God really has for you.
- 10:20Speaker 1: But man, he's a masterful jigsaw man, he's an incredible
- 10:24Speaker 1: puzzle completer. So if you got a puzzle that's challenging
- 10:28Speaker 1: to you, what's the picture that God has for your life?
- 10:32Speaker 1: If God were in your life, if you completed the puzzle,
- 10:37Speaker 1: what would it look like. It'll be a far more
- 10:41Speaker 1: extensive puzzle, and it would be a far more beautiful
- 10:44Speaker 1: piece of scenery than you could have ever imagined. And
- 10:48Speaker 1: guess what, He ain't through with me yet. That's what's
- 10:51Speaker 1: amazing and exciting about a relationship with God. God could
- 10:55Speaker 1: take your jigsaw puzzle and fix it. Show. Now I
- 11:02Speaker 1: have your undivided attention please as usual, Steve Harvey Morning
- 11:07Speaker 1: Show is now underweight ten No eight. Here we is, right,

- 13:28Speaker 1: work a lot, so it's always a good way. But
- 13:30Speaker 1: you know, I change my attitude. I just really did.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I just really really did, and it just helped me. Man,
- 13:36Speaker 1: helped me in a great way. So I'm feeling pretty comfortable. Man,
- 13:41Speaker 1: they didn't excite it. Let did he give him a
- 13:42Speaker 1: day off to a great stock. I work to do today,
- 13:45Speaker 1: a lot of dreams to feel. Thank God for the
- 13:47Speaker 1: opportunity to live yet another day and be giving the
- 13:50Speaker 1: opportunity to wake me up so I can get one
- 13:52Speaker 1: more day closer, man to what it is he has
- 13:55Speaker 1: for me? And boys been good so far. Oh, blessing,
- 14:01Speaker 1: blessings upon blessings upon blessings. So we get to do
- 14:05Speaker 1: every day for work. It's jokes. It's an honor and
- 14:10Speaker 1: a privilege. It is TV radio. Joe y'all cut a
- 14:14Speaker 1: microphone talk for a living for real. Yeah, and you
- 14:19Speaker 1: ain't digging pipes, laying down nothing. You ain't making nothing, no, no,
- 14:25Speaker 1: get making radio. All right? Coming up in thirty two
- 14:31Speaker 1: after the hour, we're gonna play, asked Steve. I love
- 14:34Speaker 1: playing this game. Okay, let's go. I'm excited. I like
- 14:38Speaker 1: it too. Yeah, right after this, but some questions, guys,
- 14:42Speaker 1: shorten your answers. You're listening to show, all right, Steve,
- 14:47Speaker 1: it's time for ask Steve. You're ready, let's go. All right,
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm ready. All right, what's your golden rule, My golden
- 14:57Speaker 1: golden rule. Do what you say you're gonna do. Hello, Yes,
- 15:03Speaker 1: that's my golden rule. If you do that, everybody will
- 15:06Speaker 1: respect you. Your woman will respect you, your kids will
- 15:10Speaker 1: respect you. All your friends will respect you, your people
- 15:12Speaker 1: at your workplace and respect. Do what you say you're
- 15:15Speaker 1: gonna do, especially with your kids. God. Yeah, yeah, don't
- 15:19Speaker 1: tell him you're gonna do something. Don't do it. Oh
- 15:21Speaker 1: no you yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember my mom
- 15:27Speaker 1: used to say that about you all the time. Whatever
- 15:29Speaker 1: he says he's gonna do, he doesn't one. I got one.
- 15:33Speaker 1: What what simple things improve your life? Now? You know
- 15:45Speaker 1: what simple things improve my life? Yeah? Um? I think
- 15:51Speaker 1: free time off, days of nothingness, sitting in my backyard
- 15:57Speaker 1: in peace, not having to put on makeup for television,
- 16:01Speaker 1: not having to take meetings, drafting up, writing jokes, chilling.
- 16:08Speaker 1: That's that's one thing that does it for me. When
- 16:11Speaker 1: I'm on the golf course, man, it's very solitary as
- 16:14Speaker 1: me and a cart full of buddies that I know,
- 16:16Speaker 1: nobody wants nothing from me. I'm out there struggling trying
- 16:19Speaker 1: to make it work, like everybody else out there sometimes
- 16:22Speaker 1: I struggle better than other days, but mostly it's a
- 16:25Speaker 1: struggle on a golf course, which is one of them,
- 16:28Speaker 1: some most beautiful scenery in the world. And then another
- 16:31Speaker 1: simple thing that makes me I really enjoy going to
- 16:36Speaker 1: brunch with my family now, sitting around with him talking
- 16:43Speaker 1: and watching them grow up, you know, still in that
- 16:46Speaker 1: stupid ass days. All right, come on, Carlin, somewhere else
- 16:53Speaker 1: with this right right here we go. Well, here's this question.
- 16:56Speaker 1: What is the name of the current chapter in your life? Wow?
- 17:02Speaker 1: What is the name of the parent chapter in my life? Yes, sir, transformation. Oh,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm in a trans transformation period of my life. I'm
- 17:17Speaker 1: in the process of reinventing myself from more of a
- 17:21Speaker 1: into more of a businessman than an entertainer. So it's
- 17:25Speaker 1: a huge transformation going home life. This chapter is called
- 17:30Speaker 1: transformation nine is WTL. We're not gonna harp on that
- 17:35Speaker 1: thought one in please All right? Uh? When is it
- 17:41Speaker 1: the worst time to make eye contact with somebody? After
- 17:45Speaker 1: the after you to loan the money and they ain't
- 17:47Speaker 1: give it back Right there? That ain't good a high contact.
- 17:57Speaker 1: There ain't no way to hide that. That's why the
- 18:00Speaker 1: worst feeling man you don't gave somebody the money. They
- 18:02Speaker 1: ain't got it. But they're sitting over there talking to
- 18:04Speaker 1: you like that. They ain't mentioning it. Did you steady
- 18:07Speaker 1: looking at him like, ain't you got something to share
- 18:09Speaker 1: with you? Yeah? Yeah, that's good. That's a good one. Okay,
- 18:14Speaker 1: here's another one, Steve. I think I know the answer,
- 18:16Speaker 1: but I want to know why texting or talking. I'll
- 18:20Speaker 1: definitely talking, and why you can't put tone in voice
- 18:24Speaker 1: inflections in the text? Yeah, and then I don't know
- 18:27Speaker 1: why which I know they emoji. I don't know what
- 18:32Speaker 1: you're want they're seeing. If you send me emoji, I
- 18:34Speaker 1: don't respond to that because I don't never know what
- 18:37Speaker 1: they mean. There is just a little yellow face winking
- 18:40Speaker 1: at well, I don't know you. It's like a regular
- 18:44Speaker 1: face winking at winking, got your tongue out winking. What
- 18:49Speaker 1: does that mean? What is it? Nana? The nan Now
- 18:53Speaker 1: you want? You want? What did you say? Come on?
- 18:58Speaker 1: Tell me nickname your parents used to call you? Boy?
- 19:03Speaker 1: That was it? Boy? I've been boying my whole life
- 19:09Speaker 1: to My father died when he was in the hospital,
- 19:12Speaker 1: Boy picked me up and cammy in that bad boy?
- 19:18Speaker 1: Is it? Because you're always a kid to your parents. Yeah,
- 19:22Speaker 1: my father just that's my boy right there. He would
- 19:26Speaker 1: come see me at the show. He said on the
- 19:28Speaker 1: front row. He'd be in a theater. He tell people
- 19:30Speaker 1: know that my boyfriend to come out here. He would
- 19:34Speaker 1: tell everybody that all the blankety blanks in here came.
- 19:38Speaker 1: He did blake that. He was proud of man. My
- 19:42Speaker 1: father talk. You got to be Steve's daddy because you
- 19:47Speaker 1: talked just like, yeah, why you He told his one day, said,
- 19:52Speaker 1: how do you think I'm on the front roll. I
- 19:54Speaker 1: ain't got no money for this, But he was proud
- 19:59Speaker 1: of you though. That That's another thing. Lady told my
- 20:02Speaker 1: daddy one time. My ticket was one hundred seventy five dollar.
- 20:05Speaker 1: M ain't know where him one seventy five. You gotts
- 20:17Speaker 1: be became little newdy h body blue about singers. Yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 1: and he ain't gonna be on the front nowhere. I
- 20:29Speaker 1: know Elie song with the here. Let need to be
- 20:30Speaker 1: down front? Come on, curla all right? Cake or pie?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Oh pie, just a pins pie if it's cherry cake,
- 20:41Speaker 1: if it's gentleman chocolate, oh all good ass peach cobbler,
- 20:45Speaker 1: though they hard to find nowadays. You know that, yeah, man,
- 20:51Speaker 1: one of Steve's one of Tommy's Christmas parties. Though he
- 20:54Speaker 1: had a guy there that made some peep cobbler. He
- 20:56Speaker 1: had all kinds of food out. That's all I ate.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Then tied night, oh night, kept going back, Who the lady,
- 21:04Speaker 1: Oh Sully, you must have been going through something at
- 21:07Speaker 1: that part. But it was so good though. It was
- 21:11Speaker 1: just so good. I didn't get a whole big old plateful,
- 21:13Speaker 1: but I just kept going it was so good. It
- 21:16Speaker 1: was so good I was And then I asked Nesto
- 21:19Speaker 1: to start getting it. So one looks like, all right,
- 21:25Speaker 1: it's junior, who has it easier on the man on
- 21:27Speaker 1: win it? Men, women got to fight through too much garbage.
- 21:31Speaker 1: We'd be laying down, you know, the end of conversation,
- 21:36Speaker 1: thanks for talking, because it was up to us. Population
- 21:40Speaker 1: be real lowe. Sy'd probably be about six people on
- 21:44Speaker 1: low All these all right, coming up next, more fun
- 21:50Speaker 1: run that brank back with the nephew. Right after this,
- 21:53Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,

- 22:04Speaker 1: Laurie Laughlin deleted their socials but too late, too late,
- 22:12Speaker 1: and then later at thirty four after the hour, we're

- 23:04Speaker 1: to the bottom of it. Now. You work in the
- 23:06Speaker 1: before service start. You work in the parking lot one, yeah,
- 23:13Speaker 1: and you tell people where the parking stuff right right right?
- 23:16Speaker 1: What are you looking for some employment? You want to

- 23:37Speaker 1: card and broke down on me. So I had a
- 23:39Speaker 1: I got an old van that I've been Yeah, yeah,
- 23:43Speaker 1: you know, I got a old van and I've been
- 23:44Speaker 1: using to get around in so na for the last
- 23:47Speaker 1: two months. I've been riding in it when I come

- 24:27Speaker 1: to the front, Na, where you're getting this information from me?
- 24:32Speaker 1: I just I didn't seen you man or send people

- 28:07Speaker 1: Pie tonight. Now you're trying to scare me with your
- 28:11Speaker 1: with your background. No, you're trying to scare me with
- 28:14Speaker 1: your background or something like ever, then you I ain't

- 29:16Speaker 1: somebody Sunday pull up in a van, show them some love, baby,
- 29:19Speaker 1: show them some love. I might have to call out
- 29:21Speaker 1: this week, but my heart tad take it hurts people different,
- 29:28Speaker 1: ain't it. Yeah, he's real different. And that brother had well,
- 29:33Speaker 1: he hadn't been the jailed on and let me know though, Hey, no,

- 30:09Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:12Speaker 1: Entertainment News. Right after this, you're listening to this Day
- 30:16Speaker 1: Morning show. Coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 30:21Speaker 1: we're gonna give you guys an update on Gucci. Wait
- 30:24Speaker 1: till you hear all this that has gone down at Gucci. Okay,
- 30:28Speaker 1: but right now in today's Entertainment News, actress is Felicity
- 30:32Speaker 1: Huffman and Laurie Laughlin They both deleted their social media
- 30:35Speaker 1: accounts in the wake of their involvement in the college
- 30:39Speaker 1: admission scam. People were still able to dig deep in
- 30:42Speaker 1: the in the ladies past, though, For instance, Felicity Huffman
- 30:47Speaker 1: used to run what the Flick Up. It's a now
- 30:51Speaker 1: defunct website where Felicity listened to this though she Felicity
- 30:56Speaker 1: Huffman offered advice on parenting. And then Laurie, Uh, you
- 31:00Speaker 1: know Aunt Becky. She's accused of paying five hundred thousand
- 31:04Speaker 1: dollars to get her two daughters into University of Southern California.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Five hundred thousand. Oh yeah, got five hundred thousand, yes, Steve, Yes, yes,
- 31:15Speaker 1: for both of her daughters. Anyway, you're sitting your baby
- 31:18Speaker 1: to a Reglar school. What's sixty? You out you paid
- 31:22Speaker 1: five hundred thousand to get him in and you gotta
- 31:24Speaker 1: pay tuition? Yeah? Oh you got to be crazy. Yeah.
- 31:29Speaker 1: So she got y'all dumb be sitting up at the
- 31:33Speaker 1: house with me writing jokes. Come on, witness, put a
- 31:37Speaker 1: set together, Stevie, Jason, get your pins to come in here, here,
- 31:42Speaker 1: get in here, Okay. But she had a really uh,
- 31:46Speaker 1: let's say, a gem of a tweet from a gem
- 31:48Speaker 1: of a tweet from last February Steve she said the
- 31:52Speaker 1: more important thing. There are more important things in life
- 31:55Speaker 1: than money, like doing the right thing, words, to live
- 31:58Speaker 1: by what you're saying back? What you saying? That's so crazy.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I just don't look man. First of well, look, I
- 32:13Speaker 1: know it's gonna sound corny cliche, but first of all,
- 32:17Speaker 1: the message is scence of your kids. It's wrong. Secondly,
- 32:22Speaker 1: what about requiring that your kids do what they supposted? Yeah?
- 32:26Speaker 1: I know this sound little hokey, but that's really what
- 32:30Speaker 1: it is. Now. Have I done things to help my children, Yeah,
- 32:34Speaker 1: but not at the expense of somebody else's kids. You know.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Have I given my kids jobs? Ye? Yep, I'm gonna
- 32:42Speaker 1: hire somebody. You gave your nephew a job hello, and
- 32:49Speaker 1: have had no return on that? Be Damn you burnt
- 32:57Speaker 1: that up. There's some cloud moments from the nephew. He
- 33:02Speaker 1: got a whole lifestyle. What has he shared with me?
- 33:08Speaker 1: Whole life? Said boy? Living in chateau, driving rollses all
- 33:12Speaker 1: this hell, what have he shared with me? Have you
- 33:18Speaker 1: been in his rooms? Hell? No, been out the chateau?
- 33:22Speaker 1: Hell no, not now or time? But hold up. Don't
- 33:30Speaker 1: it ain't offered me to ride in the damn call.
- 33:33Speaker 1: You're no shout, I went on. I just saw it
- 33:37Speaker 1: the other day in a magazine. Oh yeah, that Motor
- 33:43Speaker 1: tre Motor Tree Dog. I saw that. I did offer
- 33:49Speaker 1: you to open for me. I did do that. Oh
- 33:52Speaker 1: that's good. I know, I know the Blue Jazz Bar.
- 34:08Speaker 1: All right, listen, Steve, we gotta get to these headlines.
- 34:14Speaker 1: So please, let's go ahead and do that right now,
- 34:18Speaker 1: ladies and tournament, miss Anne Trip, everybody is and trip
- 34:23Speaker 1: with the news. Let's go to New Zealand. Authorities are
- 34:26Speaker 1: preparing to release the remains of the victims of last
- 34:28Speaker 1: week's Mosques shooting to their families. Officials say they're working
- 34:31Speaker 1: as fast as they can so as not to delay
- 34:33Speaker 1: traditional Muslim burial services any longer than need be. Fifty
- 34:37Speaker 1: people now confirmed dead under Islamic law, the debt are
- 34:40Speaker 1: supposed to be buried as quickly as possible, ideally within
- 34:44Speaker 1: twenty four hours. However, medical examiners say that some of
- 34:46Speaker 1: the victims was so disfigured by their injuries that it
- 34:49Speaker 1: was difficult to identify them. The US Supreme Court heard
- 34:51Speaker 1: arguments yesterday concerning the State of Virginia's racial jeremanitor in
- 34:55Speaker 1: case Republicans tried to defend the election district roundies they
- 34:59Speaker 1: drew back in twenty eleven bounties that are lower court
- 35:01Speaker 1: rule unlawfully packed African American voters in just a few
- 35:04Speaker 1: districts to dilute their votes. Judge so To Sonya Soto, Mayor,
- 35:08Speaker 1: says it's clear that race dominated the thinking of how
- 35:11Speaker 1: those new districts were drawn. Virginia's Attorney General, Democrat Mark Herring,
- 35:15Speaker 1: says he doesn't think the GOP lawmakers can counter that argument.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Nothing I heard change. It's my belief that it's time
- 35:20Speaker 1: for this case to come to an end and that
- 35:23Speaker 1: we implement fair and constitutional and representative districts for the
- 35:27Speaker 1: next elections. The High Court has until the end of
- 35:29Speaker 1: June two rule. In Pennsylvania, former pediatrician has been since
- 35:33Speaker 1: to seventy nine years behind bars but sexually assaulting thirty
- 35:36Speaker 1: one children, most of them is patients prosecute say doctor
- 35:40Speaker 1: Johnny Bardo spent decades abusing children in his exam room
- 35:43Speaker 1: as well as in local hospitals. The state's Attorney General,
- 35:46Speaker 1: John Supiro, says, amid all the pain, something at least
- 35:49Speaker 1: positive is going on. I think there is a reckoning
- 35:51Speaker 1: going on in this country, and powerful people like these
- 35:55Speaker 1: survivors are standing up and speaking of nineteen people provided
- 35:59Speaker 1: impact statements ahead of yesterday's sentencing. Okay, it seems like
- 36:03Speaker 1: there's always a case like this going on somewhere in
- 36:05Speaker 1: the country. This time the sad scene in Pittsburgh. We're
- 36:08Speaker 1: a white East Pittsburgh cop on Tropha shooting an unarmed
- 36:11Speaker 1: black teenager to death last summer, prosecutor say the now
- 36:14Speaker 1: former COPPA, Michael ross Felt, shot seventeen year old Antoine
- 36:17Speaker 1: Rose three times in the back as Rose ran away
- 36:20Speaker 1: from a car that Rossvelt had pulled over on suspicion
- 36:23Speaker 1: of a drive by shooting. Someone else in the vehicle
- 36:26Speaker 1: admitted to being the shooter or a resident saw Rossville
- 36:29Speaker 1: killed the teenager, filmed it and put it on Facebook
- 36:31Speaker 1: right away. Allegheny County DA Stephens Appolla says that ross
- 36:35Speaker 1: Field she's charging with hoiveside, saying that quote, you don't
- 36:38Speaker 1: shoot somebody in the back if they're not a threat
- 36:40Speaker 1: to you. Your Supreme Court has agreed to consider a
- 36:43Speaker 1: genior's request to reinstate the life without parole sentence of
- 36:46Speaker 1: Lee Boyd Malvo. He remember he was convicted of going
- 36:48Speaker 1: on that killing spree with his stepfather, John Allen Muhammad
- 36:51Speaker 1: in the DC area. That was a DC sniper back
- 36:54Speaker 1: in two thousand and two. My Space says photos, videos,
- 36:57Speaker 1: and audio files uploaded more than three years ago could
- 36:59Speaker 1: be lost as a result of a servant migration project.
- 37:02Speaker 1: People still use MySpace. And finally, Today's National Chocolate Show.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:13Speaker 1: to show, So, just in case you were wondering, Samuel L.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Jackson is no fan of the President's Okay, Samuel L.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Is on the cover of the current upcoming April issue
- 37:26Speaker 1: of Esquire magazine. He has some pointed choice words for
- 37:30Speaker 1: number forty five and Tommy, your nephew. Maybe he'll make
- 37:34Speaker 1: you proud. Now, Steve, Tommy is here to interpret on
- 37:38Speaker 1: behalf of Samuel. Go ahead, Tommy, this mobile is like
- 37:42Speaker 1: ruining the planet. And all kinds are craziest people. That's okay,
- 37:48Speaker 1: It's nut okay, And if you're not saying anything, then
- 37:53Speaker 1: you compress it. I'm sorry, I didn't know how many
- 38:02Speaker 1: mother hate me. I'm never gonna see a sam Jackson
- 38:06Speaker 1: movie again, I don't care. And if you never went
- 38:12Speaker 1: to another movie I did in my life, I'm not
- 38:15Speaker 1: gonna lose and mother money. It's already cast a chick.
- 38:23Speaker 1: You burn up your video tape. I don't give them
- 38:31Speaker 1: in quality. This present dead off his mother planet. Thank you, Tommy.
- 38:45Speaker 1: That is temptation man. That is in the uh April
- 38:49Speaker 1: issue of Esquire magazine. Take it Up, It switched magazine.
- 38:54Speaker 1: It's this why we love Samuel L. Jackson. Okay, he
- 39:03Speaker 1: does not miss words. And then and ever since he
- 39:06Speaker 1: turned seventy, he's really really, really saying what exactly love him? Yes,
- 39:14Speaker 1: he looks because I got these ships. Well, thank you, nephew,
- 39:28Speaker 1: I mean Samuel. Yeah, is that refreshing? Are you gonna
- 39:35Speaker 1: be someone? Keep going on, Junior. I love Samuel Jackson.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Samuel Jackson for president, Oh my goodness, he would make
- 39:44Speaker 1: a great president. I probably had to quit one of
- 39:49Speaker 1: my jobs so I could watch most CNN. Yes, I
- 39:54Speaker 1: definitely have to come back to stand up. Then I'd
- 39:56Speaker 1: have to come back, y'allah. Yeah, Samuel, he's classic. He's
- 40:03Speaker 1: just the grass. I'll give me some harnmon glasses and
- 40:06Speaker 1: shade my mustache. And B Samuel. All right, coming up
- 40:11Speaker 1: at thirty four after the hour, we'll have that update
- 40:13Speaker 1: on Gucci right after this. You're listening to the String Show,
- 40:19Speaker 1: all right. So, last month Gucci was in the middle
- 40:22Speaker 1: of a fashion misstep when, after much social media backlash
- 40:25Speaker 1: and threats of boycotts and all that, they pulled their
- 40:29Speaker 1: black almost nine hundred dollars sweater you know, the one
- 40:32Speaker 1: with the red lips, which really too closely, way too
- 40:35Speaker 1: closely resembled black face. Gucci issued an apology, promising that
- 40:40Speaker 1: they are fully committed to increasing diversity throughout their organization
- 40:44Speaker 1: and turning this incident into a powerful learning moment for
- 40:49Speaker 1: the Gucci team. So now Gucci has announced their brand
- 40:54Speaker 1: new initiative. It's called Gucci Change Makers. Check it out.
- 40:59Speaker 1: It includes scholarships of one hundred of one and a
- 41:02Speaker 1: half million dollars and twenty thousand dollars grants to be
- 41:06Speaker 1: awarded to college students with an interest in the fashion industry.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Check that's good. Also, yeah, Also a part of the
- 41:13Speaker 1: Gucci Change mate Makers Fund, five million dollars will be
- 41:17Speaker 1: invested into nonprofit organizations that specifically work to support the
- 41:23Speaker 1: African American community and communities of color at large. So
- 41:27Speaker 1: that's good. That's five million dollars now, Steve, you know him,
- 41:30Speaker 1: your friend. Dapper Dan posted on the Graham that he
- 41:34Speaker 1: met with the CEO of Gucci, Marco Bazari in Harlem.
- 41:38Speaker 1: He came to Harlem and Dapper Dan said that he
- 41:42Speaker 1: has seen real action towards the solutions discussed. Black designers
- 41:46Speaker 1: and fashion professionals will be given new opportunities through these initiatives.
- 41:53Speaker 1: I've spoke to Dapper Dan, okay, great since the thing
- 41:58Speaker 1: and we've had a lot of calm sation that we
- 42:01Speaker 1: had a long, hour long conversation. Or the day before
- 42:05Speaker 1: New Year's Eve he made the code. I was wearing
- 42:08Speaker 1: New Year's Eve this past Yeah, he made that code
- 42:14Speaker 1: and he was telling me. And what he's explained everybody
- 42:18Speaker 1: is he say moments like this for them to make
- 42:22Speaker 1: mistakes like this, because when they make the mistakes, it's
- 42:25Speaker 1: when we can develop and create the most change. If
- 42:29Speaker 1: they never make the mistake, they will continue to do
- 42:32Speaker 1: business power for course, you know, business as usual. But
- 42:37Speaker 1: when they make these mistakes, it's when you can get
- 42:40Speaker 1: in there and make change. And that's what he has
- 42:43Speaker 1: Gucci doing now, making change, you know, because he says, Look, man,
- 42:49Speaker 1: he says, it's the meeting that makes the change. Yea,
- 42:53Speaker 1: you know there's nothing to say that does You're never
- 42:55Speaker 1: supposed to demonstrate that's not what he's saying. He's not
- 43:00Speaker 1: saying that. So when you get him to the table
- 43:03Speaker 1: as quickly as Dapper Dan did, you gotta give Dap
- 43:06Speaker 1: his propers. The CEO came to Harlem to say, hey,
- 43:12Speaker 1: what can we do to make it right? Who does that?
- 43:16Speaker 1: They do it not knowing and not watching and not
- 43:20Speaker 1: having the black presence in the company. When you don't
- 43:24Speaker 1: have the black presence, you ain't got nobody to go.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Do you know how they fit the field? If you
- 43:29Speaker 1: make this right now, dog, you put that black tweater
- 43:32Speaker 1: and put them pink limps on. Man, you know black
- 43:35Speaker 1: brief in do you think so? Yeah, it would have
- 43:38Speaker 1: been out. But now you see that brother that they
- 43:42Speaker 1: push it at Gucci Because I'm gonna tell you Louis Vaton.
- 43:46Speaker 1: I don't know if you've seen the new Louis Vaton collection,
- 43:49Speaker 1: but that brother they got doing the collection. Oh donkey,
- 43:53Speaker 1: oh doy, they clowned. They're clowning Louiverton, clowning this brother
- 44:00Speaker 1: that they wouldn't got Virgil Abloh, Yeah, that used to
- 44:03Speaker 1: be with Kanye. This boy, this brother right here is
- 44:10Speaker 1: not playing with this Louis Vatton collection. And Louis Vaton
- 44:15Speaker 1: got a brother in that. Gucci got Dapper Dan, but
- 44:19Speaker 1: they don't. We've got this other brother too. I'm telling y'all, man,
- 44:24Speaker 1: people have to make mistakes in order for change to occur. Now,
- 44:29Speaker 1: how we're gonna fix this and really fix it? And
- 44:32Speaker 1: that's what Dapper Dan been saying to him. If you
- 44:35Speaker 1: had some people in the room, it would have never happened. Now,
- 44:38Speaker 1: how do we get to people in the room at Gucci? Man,
- 44:44Speaker 1: they do. Let's see what we gotta do is we've
- 44:46Speaker 1: got telling you man. All right, Steve, we get it,
- 44:50Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you very much. We don't eat that.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Somebody got to be at the table going we don't
- 44:54Speaker 1: eat that when they set the plate down. How about
- 44:57Speaker 1: somebody back there in the kitchen making the stuff looking God,
- 45:00Speaker 1: you finissured at the black people. Yeah, black people don't
- 45:04Speaker 1: eat scones. All right. Up next, it is a nephew
- 45:08Speaker 1: with the prank phone call for today. Right after this,
- 45:11Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
- 45:15Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after
- 45:18Speaker 1: It's my Strawberry letter. For today's subject, he claims he
- 45:22Speaker 1: got a divorce from me, but right now we'll get
- 45:26Speaker 1: into that. But right now it's your time, nephew. Uh,
- 45:29Speaker 1: you're here with today's plank phone call what you got? Now?
- 45:32Speaker 1: My bones all week? I let that settle in now

- 46:35Speaker 1: I wanted to give you big ups. And I heard
- 46:37Speaker 1: the baby came and everything, and I wanted to just

- 46:54Speaker 1: my side of the family, and they want from my
- 46:56Speaker 1: wife's side because you know, they live different places and stuff. Man,
- 47:00Speaker 1: which one do you think she was at? Um? Probably

- 47:21Speaker 1: was with Kendra. Man, and um, she was just telling
- 47:23Speaker 1: me how successful man, how nice it was, and and
- 47:26Speaker 1: you know, laid out baby shower. I wasn't able to
- 47:28Speaker 1: make it. Man, I've been a little under the weather, bro,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you know, and uh, you know, with with God's help, man,
- 47:32Speaker 1: I'll be able to get back on my feet. You

- 48:06Speaker 1: I guess she's she's dabbled a couple of times and
- 48:09Speaker 1: been around. You know, your wife is uh, your wife
- 48:11Speaker 1: is Maryland, right, Yeah that's no wife, Okay, Yeah, I
- 48:15Speaker 1: guess she's been been in the presence of Maryland. Man.
- 48:18Speaker 1: So you know, you know, I kind of got your
- 48:21Speaker 1: number from uh, from my wife, man, Um, and she
- 48:24Speaker 1: got it from Kendrew. So I kind of wanted to
- 48:26Speaker 1: holl a you you know, which you weren't herd of
- 48:29Speaker 1: me to have. Actually, man, like I said, Man, I've

- 48:47Speaker 1: You know. Uh, that's that's kind of what I've what
- 48:50Speaker 1: I've been going through, man um. And if I don't
- 48:55Speaker 1: uh get the proper medication that I need, man, then
- 48:59Speaker 1: we you know it within the next three months here, dog,
- 49:03Speaker 1: it could get pretty bad. You know what I'm saying. Well, Man,
- 49:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry to hear that, bro Um, it's you know.
- 49:12Speaker 1: All I can do is pray for you, man. And
- 49:14Speaker 1: you know, well, man, I the doctor told me that
- 49:21Speaker 1: it's bront C. Man. The doctor told me man that
- 49:26Speaker 1: you know, if I get the right medication, man, that
- 49:31Speaker 1: you know, I could get back up to seventy five
- 49:34Speaker 1: healthy again, you know what I'm saying. So you know,
- 49:37Speaker 1: it's just a rare type of thing that I need
- 49:41Speaker 1: to try and get. And I think that you might
- 49:45Speaker 1: be I think you can't help me. Be strong, man,
- 49:48Speaker 1: Be strong, just man, sit down, man, strong Bright It's
- 49:52Speaker 1: gonna be all right. But I think it's gonna be
- 49:54Speaker 1: all right. God is with you. I pray for you.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I do all I can. You know, I don't know
- 50:00Speaker 1: well actually actually uh the doctor told me, man that
- 50:04Speaker 1: if for six months, if I drunk breast milk, it will,
- 50:10Speaker 1: it will. It would put enough calseum and stuff back
- 50:13Speaker 1: into my bones that would get me back up to
- 50:15Speaker 1: seventy to eighty five percent healthy breast. Yeah, I ain't
- 50:20Speaker 1: got no breast, but you know it's not. It's not
- 50:24Speaker 1: you run you you don't you know, but you know
- 50:28Speaker 1: your your wife does thought. Whoa you're talking about my
- 50:33Speaker 1: wife's breast. Man, I'm not not directly man, I'm just
- 50:37Speaker 1: saying that chickens, you know. I mean, if I had
- 50:41Speaker 1: her breast milk for like six months straight, man, I
- 50:44Speaker 1: could get back home again. Man. Oh you'll talk about
- 50:48Speaker 1: a man's wife or her breast now, I could gotta,
- 50:50Speaker 1: I gotta. I'm just just all I'm for my wife
- 50:54Speaker 1: breast milk. Man. Man, I'm just asking y'all to share
- 50:57Speaker 1: it for six wee breast milk with you. Man. You
- 51:01Speaker 1: got the wrong one, man, the wrong one, and you
- 51:05Speaker 1: said your name was But they're Phoe is wrong. Man,
- 51:09Speaker 1: it wrong, I'm wrong. No, we're just talking about six
- 51:13Speaker 1: months of breast milk, man, six months more wife's prest milk.
- 51:17Speaker 1: When we're talking about just a little best mom and
- 51:19Speaker 1: I understand, I press little man. I understand that. Man.
- 51:22Speaker 1: But we're talking about you saving a life. Man, a life.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I ain't the one. Oh come, let me ask you
- 51:28Speaker 1: this one off. Y'all would have had twins, Man, y'all
- 51:31Speaker 1: would have been prest seeding two babies. Just look at
- 51:33Speaker 1: it as if we're twins. The man, I'm getting them
- 51:36Speaker 1: up this phone because I don't know who you are.
- 51:39Speaker 1: You need to chill. Oh, man, you need to go
- 51:41Speaker 1: get on your knees, train that your bones get healed
- 51:44Speaker 1: or whatever. You got the wrong number, man, listen, Man,
- 51:49Speaker 1: all I'm saying is I got one more thing I
- 51:51Speaker 1: want to say, and then I'll have to get on man.

- 52:37Speaker 1: What's the baddest radio station in the land? Man? Man?
- 52:40Speaker 1: It is the Steve Harvey Morning Show? Man. Wow? Man?
- 52:48Speaker 1: You know every now and then a man need some breastmeal.

- 52:55Speaker 1: You understand that, don't y'all don't see this, don't I'm
- 52:59Speaker 1: the only one and see that. Breast milk is good
- 53:01Speaker 1: for the bones. Let's ask he sees it. He's awfully quiet.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I'm telling what breast milk do? I have good? How
- 53:11Speaker 1: to heal? Without know? I have no remembers of any taste?

- 54:45Speaker 1: your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey f M and click
- 54:49Speaker 1: submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading your letter live
- 54:52Speaker 1: on the air, just like we're gonna read this one
- 54:54Speaker 1: right now. Buckle up, hold on tight. We gotta call
- 54:56Speaker 1: you here. It is the strawberry letter thank you enough,
- 54:59Speaker 1: subject he claims he got a divorce for me. Dear
- 55:03Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty three year old single woman
- 55:06Speaker 1: and I was dating a guy from my past. We
- 55:09Speaker 1: reconnected five months ago and he told me that he
- 55:12Speaker 1: would not let me get away from him again. He
- 55:15Speaker 1: told me that he lived an hour away, so he
- 55:18Speaker 1: came to see me on the weekends. I was so
- 55:21Speaker 1: happy with him, but I couldn't help but think that
- 55:23Speaker 1: this romance was just too good to be true. My
- 55:27Speaker 1: intuition kicked in and I decided to google him. His
- 55:31Speaker 1: Facebook page came up, and he told me that he
- 55:34Speaker 1: didn't do social media at all. The first picture I
- 55:37Speaker 1: saw on his page was a wedding picture. His wedding picture.
- 55:43Speaker 1: He got married a month after we started dating. I
- 55:46Speaker 1: didn't want to speak to him, so I went off
- 55:48Speaker 1: on him in text messages and I was done with it.
- 55:51Speaker 1: He called me begging to see me. He popped up
- 55:55Speaker 1: at my house and job and sent me flowers, begging
- 55:57Speaker 1: for me to let him explain things. I eventually had
- 56:01Speaker 1: a change of heart and agreed to meet him at
- 56:04Speaker 1: an apartment close to my house so we could talk.
- 56:07Speaker 1: When I walked in and asked him who lived there.
- 56:10Speaker 1: He said he did. He told me that his ex
- 56:13Speaker 1: wife moved out after they got the wedding annulled. I
- 56:17Speaker 1: saw frilly pillows on the couch, a rattail calm, a
- 56:20Speaker 1: glass that had lipstick on the rim, and a few
- 56:23Speaker 1: other clues. So I didn't believe him and I left.
- 56:27Speaker 1: But the biggest shocker was that this man lived less
- 56:30Speaker 1: than ten minutes from me, and he had me thinking
- 56:33Speaker 1: he lived in another city. He must think I'm crazy,
- 56:36Speaker 1: because why would I believe anything he says. Now, I'm
- 56:40Speaker 1: too old to be sitting aside, sitting outside his house
- 56:43Speaker 1: doing surveillance to try to catch him and a lie.
- 56:47Speaker 1: He swears he is divorced and he wants to be
- 56:50Speaker 1: with me for the rest of his life. Should I
- 56:52Speaker 1: move on and forget about him? Or give him one
- 56:55Speaker 1: more chance to get it right? Please advice? Okay, if
- 56:58Speaker 1: he's divorced, divorced, isn't that easy to find out? Isn't
- 57:02Speaker 1: that easy to prove? I mean, you could stop all
- 57:04Speaker 1: of this. You don't have to take his word for it,
- 57:06Speaker 1: and until then, please move on. I mean, how much
- 57:10Speaker 1: more evidence do you need? I mean This guy doesn't
- 57:13Speaker 1: seem like he's right for you at all, now does he?
- 57:16Speaker 1: He lied to you in your face. You haven't seen
- 57:19Speaker 1: a seen a single shred of evidence that his marriage
- 57:23Speaker 1: was annulled or that he is divorced, or, in his case,
- 57:27Speaker 1: his wedding was annulled. So who cares what he thinks?
- 57:31Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, he's talking about you're crazy. He might
- 57:36Speaker 1: think you're crazy. He's the one who's crazy. Okay, you
- 57:40Speaker 1: saw it with your own eyes. The lipstick on the glass,
- 57:43Speaker 1: You saw the rat tail comb that a woman usually uses.
- 57:47Speaker 1: You saw other clues. You saw the frilly pillows on
- 57:50Speaker 1: the couch. I mean, in a court of law, the
- 57:52Speaker 1: burden of proof would have to be on him, and
- 57:54Speaker 1: the trust has been broken. You don't believe anything he says.
- 57:58Speaker 1: So if he really wants to be with you, you know,
- 58:01Speaker 1: he'll come with divorce papers and all that. But until now, girl,
- 58:05Speaker 1: go on with your life and live your best life
- 58:08Speaker 1: without him. All right, Steve, Well, ain't this an interesting letter?
- 58:19Speaker 1: She fifty three? Let's go over this, um, start dating
- 58:25Speaker 1: somebody from your past. Couldn't help but start thinking this
- 58:29Speaker 1: romance just too good to be true. My intuition kicked in,
- 58:35Speaker 1: so she saved. So she googled Facebook page came up
- 58:40Speaker 1: and told me. After he told you he didn't do
- 58:43Speaker 1: social media at all, that's so easy to find out.
- 58:48Speaker 1: First pitch I saw on his page was a wedding picture.
- 58:51Speaker 1: His wedding pitch. He got married a month Damn. I
- 59:01Speaker 1: won't apologize to women. I'm so sucked. You have to
- 59:04Speaker 1: beat people like cousin I'll be damn. He got married
- 59:09Speaker 1: a month after y'all start day. So she went on
- 59:15Speaker 1: off on him by a text. He begged to see her,
- 59:18Speaker 1: popped by the house, flowers, to the job, everything begging me.
- 59:22Speaker 1: So she had to change her heart and she agreed.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Now I understand all this up until this part. Then
- 59:28Speaker 1: after this hit comes to shaky stuff. So agreed to
- 59:34Speaker 1: meet him at an apartment close to my house so
- 59:38Speaker 1: we could talk. Y'all. Hear that sentence right there. I
- 59:41Speaker 1: agreed to meet him at an apartment close to my house.
- 59:48Speaker 1: How that sound to y'all? But he supposed to be
- 59:53Speaker 1: an hour away. So now whose apartment he didn't got
- 59:57Speaker 1: for y'all to talk at? Just close to your house?
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: When I walked in, I asked him who lived there?
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: He said, he did. I love this dude right here me.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: You know, I said, come over to the apartment and
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you what you thought? Don't tell about something now? Uhh,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I'll stay here. What you're tripping form? He told me
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: that his ex wife moved out after they got the
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: wedding or null? Can I share something with you? And
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: I don't want to sound racist. Black people don't get
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: a numb then, you know, really we don't really know
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: how that's done. Stop we we just I ain heard. No,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: I don't know nobody. I didn't hold I'm six two
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: years old, I ain't never met nobody got want to
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: know they ain't got divorce? And it drove off, y'all
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: did drove off? Ain't go back. Man so told me
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: his ex wife moved out after they got to win them.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: I saw frilly pillars on the couch, rat tail comb,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: The glass still had lipstick on it. When did she
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: move out yesterday? Go? What glass? You still got lipstick
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: on the most? Yeah, and a few other clues unless
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: it's another girl. So I didn't believe him, and I left,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: she said. But then the biggest shock of this the
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: one I liked. He lived ten minutes from me. He
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: had me thinking he lived in another city. That's my
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: favorite one. To be ten minutes round the corner. But
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: tells you I live always, so I'm only gonna come
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: up on the weekend. Hall dog, I ain't never used
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: that one. That's a good one, man, I know it's brothers.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Ain'twhere going what you can say that? Yeah, dog, y'all
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: ain't tried that now. Who that's a good one. That's
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: my favorite line in the whole damn letter. Give me
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: thinking he stayed out right around the corner. I could
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: have walked over there, right good, All right, listen, Steve.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject he
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: claims he got a divorce for me. We'll be back
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. Here we
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: are part two of today's Strawberry Letters. Subject he claims
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: he got a divorce, and let's recap please, Lady. Mentis
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: dude from a past they started dating, relationship going so good.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Intuition kicked in. She go on Facebook. He said he
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: don't do social media. She pull up his Facebook page.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: First picture CCT wedding pitching his wedding pitching. She got
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: so upset she didn't confront him about it. She texted
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: me told him. He said, Hey, what is you talking about?
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Don't even worry about that. Give me another chance. I
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: love you, I want to speak to it. So all
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: this hit big and you to come back. So you
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: finally had to change your cart and then hit my
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: favorite party, the letter. Now you agreed to meet him
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: at an apartment close to my household. We could talk.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I'm just trying to figure out how he's how. He said, Hey, listen,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: I want you to meet me at an apartment close
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: to you. What do you mean an apartment? No, just
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: come on, don't I got the key, but you gotta
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: key to what apartment? You're gonna meet me here? What
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: she get in there? Come to find out in his
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: damn place? But he got combs in that lipstick, brawls everything. Bro,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: He said, his wife and him just had their wedding. Enough,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: he loves her. Let's do this. I want to be
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: with you. Hit the beauty of this was here. She
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: finds out he stayed ten minutes away. She's been thinking
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: he lived out of town for us to gool I
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: got to give. You got to take your hat off. Now, boy,
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: you got to go ten minutes away and say I
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: stay eye away. I can't get to you to the
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: weekend by boy that I never even I ain't never
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: tried that. That was a pretty good dog. Once again,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I want to apologize two women. Thank you for that's
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: type subliged that you all have to. She said, I'm
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: too old to be sitting outside the house doing surveillance,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: which means she has her eyebrows showing. On the other
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: side of the women, she'd have been so low in
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: her card you can't see nothing but her eyebrow. Should
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I move on and forget about him? Or give him
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: one more chance to get it right? Please? If I
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: wait a minute, I'm sorry, I just got it. I
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: just got the visual her sitting in the car with
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: her all you see. She just slumped down so low
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: and now she can dry that stairs were with her breath.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: That's how low in that car she is. She didn't
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: hit the gas. She can hit the gas in the
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: breaks with her knees. She slumped down in that car
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: with just her eyebrows showing. All right, now, Should I
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: give him a chance? Listen to me? All you gotta
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: do is just one y'all. You gotta do it. Do
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: one thing. Go right back on that Facebook page. If
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: that wedding picture is still now, he's still man. He
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: can't take that picture down. Oh so his wife would go,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: why you taking picture down? Oh you go back Facebook?
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: If you pitch you down, you might have a little something,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: but no something. Now remember that the key to this
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: whole letter. He's take ten minutes round. I've been telling
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: you the whole time you drive. He pull up, he
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: pull up, Just be sweating moved. I'm telling you got
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: anything to drink? Girl, I've been out here. Can you
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: heave me with some gass? So, Shirley, I'm the dude
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: and you're asking me questions. Ask me anything. You would
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: ask me about my status, battle status, why this house
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: looked at it? Just ask me anything. Shirley is the
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: lady that wrote the left. I'm the dude that letter
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: about what? What are all these glasses with lipsticks and
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: rat tail car? What don't you hey damn list you
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: know how hard you get that lifts chick off to
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: them glass? Y'all normally take my glasses down to the restaurant,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: and I got some people down there washing for me.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: But I ain't been able to go down there because
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: I've been working pretty hard. And you know what, Yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: whose lipstick is it? Hers? And who who is herd?
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: My ex wife, the one I got to know me
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: when I just told you this. And you know what,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: you don't live an hour where you had me thinking
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: you lived in another city. You live right down the street.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I told you to take me an eye to get
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: to your house. Yes you did, and you lived ten
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: minutes away. Yelping out here and rush out my GPS
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: broke here. I was took me all out the way. Huh.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: I don't believe that. Now, listen to me. My GP
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: has been taking me an hour. I've been driving for
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: an hour, gonna man, she stayed a long way from him.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: You ten minutes rub him? Yeah? Ten minutes all right?
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: And and what are all these frilly pillows and all
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: this stuff on the sofa? I like friely stuff. Oh
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: do you now? Yeah? You're my brother pill That's why
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: I really and why I like stuff like that. Now,
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: you said your ex wife moved out, So if she
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: moved out, why didn't she take her stuff with her? Man?
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I'm so glad she's gone. Man, talk about it. Man,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: it's like hurting me. She just go. Why didn't she
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: take her stuff? Though? That's what I'm trying to She
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: just rolled out, man, left with all this. You have
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: any proof that you guys are finally divorced? I need
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: to see proof. Yeah. I don't believe anything you say.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: You don't believe what? Okay, tell me what is you
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: don't believe? I don't believe anything you said you lived
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: in our way? You actually lived ten minutes away. But yeah,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: have you ever put the address in and then your
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: GPS sent you another way? They just sent me another way.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: I thought I was our way taking me out to
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: get you. Oh so GPS is wrong. It's what you're saying,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: man is But you know I really can't say it's
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: wrong because I always ended up at your house praise you.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: And you know what you said that Um, you know
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: you wanted to be with me for the rest of
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: your life. A month later you get married. What is
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: that all about? Girl? I just told you I wanted
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: to be with you the rest of my life. Just now,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: I don't believe anything. I ain't know we was gonna
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: make it, so I had doubts. So I went only
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: married on got married? Yeah, because you know she was
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: pregnant with triplets? Are they yours? Because you are her husband? Well?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I know one on man, Look three, I don't have
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: time for that. Thank you? Just all right? Yeah, life
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: because I had a baby. Look, we got to get
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: out of here. Email us your Instagram. That's your thoughts
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: on today's Strawberry letter. Leave him lady, please at Steve
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Harvey fl coming up in about ten minutes. Political news.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren had a town hall meeting in Jackson, Mississippi,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: last night, and Betto O'Rourke raised six point one million
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: dollars in just a day, twenty four hours. We'll be
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening to Dave Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: All right, guys. In today's political news, former Texas Congressman
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Betto O'Rourke raised six point one million dollars. That's a
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: lot of money in your first twenty four hours of
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: announcing that you're going to run for president. Yeah. That
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: is the largest announced first day hall by any twenty
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: twenty Democratic hopeful, and he is outpacing his rivals. Betto
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: was in Detroit and had a town hall meeting. Also,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: word has it that Betto is possibly going to hire
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: Jen O'Malley Dillon. Now, if that name does sound familiar
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: to you, she was President Barack Obama's deputy campaign manager
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: back in twenty twelve, Steve, her name is Jen O'Malley Dylon.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: You know nobody Genermalee Dillon's police officer most mallets. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Well but he raised that a lot of money in
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: a day, it did. Yeah, So that means he has
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: a lot of people that believe in him, which is good.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I mean, he's campaign, it's for the people. Well, yeah,
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: a lot of people don't eating as well. Then, unlike
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: the current president, truth probably envies him. Yeah. Well that's
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: a good thing. I mean, that's a good start if
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: you because you need money. But just because you can
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: raise a lot of money doesn't mean you're gonna make
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: a great president. But um, you know, that's a great start.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: That's a great art. Yeah, he's gonna get a lot
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: of traction if he don't make any mistakes. I think
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: the people who are gonna get the most traction if
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: they don't mistakes is Colin Harris. I think she makes
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: the most noise. I know bet Old Rock will Bernie
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Joe Biden if he gets in Bernie Sanders could have
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: been President Biden on the way Biden trust me well. Meanwhile,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Steve Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren was in Jackson, Mississippi last night.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: She was on the campus of Jackson State University, and
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: she was embracing her underdog role. She distinguishes herself as
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: a capitalist, while Bernie Sanders, of course, runs a democratic
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: socialist campaign. Warren wants to fight the rise of white nationalism,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: and last night a student asked her, well, take a listen.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: How do you respond to people who think that, regardless
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: of the underlying facts, the way you handled the question
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: of your Native American heritage was tone deaf, offensive and
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: indicative of a lack of presidential tact. Well, you know,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: I grew up in Oklahoma. I learned about my family
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: from my family, and based on that, that's just kind
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: of who I am, and I do the best I
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: can with it. You know, there was an investigation nothing
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I ever did or my family played any role in
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: any job I ever got. But I'll tell you this,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: I have now done thirty eight town halls in Massachusetts
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: last year, and this is my thirty second town hall
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: since January, and what I've discovered is that people care
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: a lot about what's happening to their lives every single
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: day and what touches them, like housing and education and
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: with healthcare. That's the kind of reason that I'm in
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: this fight, and I'm going to stay in this fight,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: and I'll tell you this, I'm going to fight it
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: from the heart every inch of the way. I'll do
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: my best. And Senator Warren was also asked this question
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: by a participant. My question is Mississippi is a deeply
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: red state and one of the poorest state in the country,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: yet many white, poor and working class citizens continue to
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: vote against their economic interests. What message, if any, do
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: you have that may resonate with them, that may encourage
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: them to vote for you. So thank you for the question, Christopher. Look,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: this is how I see it. Washington is working great.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: It's working fabulously for giant drug companies. It's just not
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: working for people who are trying to get a prescription films.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: It's working great for big oil companies that want to
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: drill everywhere. It's just not working for people who see
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: climate change bearing down upon it. It's working great for
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: giant financial institutions and for payday lenders. It's just not
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: working great for people who are living paycheck to hey check.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I'm tired of Washington that works for the rich and
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: the powerful. I want a Washington that works for the
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: rest of America. That's why I'm in this fight. And
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: I believe on that that Democrats, Independence and Republicans they
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: know a scam when they see it, and they see
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: it Washington working for those guys. I think they're ready
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: to get in the fight and get a Washington and
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: a country that works for the rest of America. Thank you, Wow.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: Senator Elizabeth Warren at her town hall meeting yesterday in Jackson,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Mississippi at Jackson State University. So he's in the race.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: She is in the race. Yeah, and a woman, and
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: that's good. I like it. We'll see who gets the
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Democratic nominee, because that's a lot of them. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: you've got thirty five minute on a good day. Yeah,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: well yeah, I interesting, Yeah, it will. I Mean the
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: important thing I think, um is who can beat Trump, right, Steve.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: I think that's it, you know, I mean, that's who
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: That's how they're gonna based their Pickoll but you know,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: I mean, man, if if we if we don't pay
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: very close attention to this electoral college vote, he could
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: be president again. We got to pay attention to that. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: we got to educate ourselves. There's time now, before the primaries,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: before all of this. You know, this is the time
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: to start educating ourselves and all of that. So I
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: hope we do that, and I hope we show up
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: and we know that black women will be there. We
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: know that Elizabeth Warrens, she called for the end of
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: the electoral college last night, did because it's crazy, man,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: it's not. They look told college vote was created for
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: states way a Civil War period, and that was created
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: to give them the same voting power as northern states.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: So that's it, all right, Well, yeah, I just gotta vote.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: That's right. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: you guys are gonna talk some basketball sports talk coming
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: up right after this you're listening to. All right, So yesterday,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: you know, we talked about the big basketball tournament that's
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: coming up, guys, and I'm really kind of I know
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: it's not me, but I am kind of excited about
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: the games too now because yeah, well Nesta and I
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: are really Yeah, it's really him. It's really him. But
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: I have a part too, because we're gonna have a
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: game party this weekend, and I just love this is
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: my part. I love being a good hostess. And of
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: course that starts, yes I do, and that starts with
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: a clean house when the guests arrive. So my house
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: will be a Lemon fresh Pine Saw cleaner. There will
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: be no food, so I'm gonna getting catered. I'm gonna
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: get it catered. I don't get a kick out of
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: cleaning all this, all my services, like the floor is,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: the sings, the countertops, all of that with Pine Saal
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Pine Salt is the number one lemon set it delutable cleaner.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I love that. Okay, spring cleaning is in full effect
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: around my house. Pine Saalt clean your way, and that's
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: my way. Okay, sure, yeah, all right, Junior, Yeah in
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: my way? Right, all right, Junior, let's go tut. The sports,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: Well we are, we're coming up on all the playoffs.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: You know, playoffs is about to start. Name for the
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: NBA NBA Playoffs is Yeah, we talked about Lakers gonna
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: be in it. Yeah, don't look like the Lake is
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: gonna be doing. What do you think they're saying about
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Lebron Man, they talk about Lebron and his leadership skills,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: and no, he has. No it's so unquestionable. They can
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: stop that. He's a great teammate. Lebron comes to town
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: to make everybody better. It's just what happened to the
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Lakers this year, I think was when they were just
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: starting to get a field for one of the Lebron
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: went down and ball is out. So it's not his
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: leadership skills. He been to the finals six to seven
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: eight times in a row. Yeah, somebody doing something right, somebody,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: and you can say what you want to say, but
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: he's been in the finals, So I don't think his
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: leadership should be questioned at all, at all, not at all.
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Celtics in the East. What you think about the Celtics.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: I think the Celtics could come out of the East.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: I think the Raptors are very strong. Philly and I
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: love feeling. I love Philly, man, I just love I
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: love watching Joel and just seven foot like he's sixty
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: three more and three. Yeah, but y'all, I please don't
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: sleep on Milwaukee because they got a basketball team. Then
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: I think Milwaukee in the Celtics is gonna shock a
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: few people. You think That's what I think. In the West,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: I think Phili can take Milwaukee, even with the Greek,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: I think they can take Well, what about in the West? Up,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Golden State? Houston has a real chance, man, Houston has
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: a real chance, you tall, I think they one player away.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I think Utah is one player away. But Golden State,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I think they'll go back to the finals. Man, oh man,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: It's it's just a team. Man. Is DeMarcus Cousins come
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: off the bench, k D and then you know the
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: up or in the light skin ball come on, they
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: got a team. That's why. I just like how to
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: hear they passed the light skin. Don't don't say hitting
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: the jump then Draymond Green. They go from light skin
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: the dark real fan. Yeah, it don't fade it, don't
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: fade play. I think you're looking at your TV. It'd
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: be real light. Didn't be real dark like you can
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: see everybody. Then you can't see nothing, no one really
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: they do it because they got Draymond. Come on, like,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: Katie ain't dark too now, now Draymond a little darg
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: but Katie, but you go from light skin the dark.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: They two and two they realized that. Houston. I just
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: think we were a couple of players. Man, you think
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: so yeah, Man, I just think you cannot just shoot
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: threes in the playoffs. They're not gonna get it. But
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: but let me tell you this, if that's the young
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: man is healthy, If uh god, Chris Paul, Chris Paul,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Chris Paul are healthy and don't get hurt, you got it,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: You got a ball game. Houston is a problem, man,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Houston is a major problem. I think they'd be Golden
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: State last year with SEP three healthy game setting they
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: could have gotten. But I think now, man, it's just
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: that I think we do one player awaite, man, I
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: don't know what it were, just like one solid who
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: think it is Julia? If we had him, if we
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: had Lebron, what, yeah, we would be in there. He's
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: with the makers. So Shirley, oh what you're doing over here? No, Shirley,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: stay out to trash talking. She just go, we want
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Lebron too. What you're trying to say? It's too late
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: this man, Yeah, godly And I said what I said
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: about your pole, and think about the big tournament. You
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: want to talk about the big tournament? Let me tell
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: you who to look for university. They bawled. They are
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: three seed two, they bawled. Watch them, watch them being
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: a sweet sixteen and they're gonna make it that for
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: it least you know hard your number one duke North Carolina.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: I think Mary State is gonna be the Cinderella team
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: with that boy. I like mer that boy can play?
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: Can the boy? Oh? The guard? Oh he's asked. This
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: boy ain't number like six two, but he play like
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: he's seven on nothing but six? Yeah? Six two years
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: bad because I said six nothing but six You said nothing?
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: But though six two is tall? Tough to you? Yeah? Everybody?
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: No to everybody? They got a six n you just
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: you What about the six nine dude? Did he must
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: be scary? Oh? I wouldn't. I wouldn't go round it.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: Six nine dude. It's like lightning, you know, Timmy scared
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: of lightning. Yeah. Any prediction for the tournament on? You know, man,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: I haven't really looked at the Brackett Brackett to be honest.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I like North Carolina though, man, maybe they need lebron.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: I do quiet. Don't say nothing. You know when we
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: do sports, go go to the bathroom or something. She
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: just do that right on the end there. Maybe they
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: need lebron But when Junior said it was all good,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: that's what I wanted. Huh. All right, we'll be back
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: with more. All right, Okay, go ahead. I guess Duke
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: gonna need lebron to everybody else. Hey, that big boy
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: in Duke Man that that's center. That's a bad boy
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: who look it out. That's the one that broke his shoe.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: Yeah right, yeah, he did see it, right about it?
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with more. This was that
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: was fascinating. Guys. Thank you. We'll be back with Mary
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morty Show right after this. You're listening to.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: All right, So here's a question for everyone. When was
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: the last time you, guys gave someone the middle finger? Oh? Yeah,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: can you remember the last time you gave someone the
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: middle finger? Yeah? Yesterday? Well, Steve, it is your constitutional right,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: uh to give someone the middle finger. A federal appeals
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: court says a Michigan woman's constitutional rights were violated when
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: she was handed a speeding ticket after giving the finger
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: to a suburban Detroit officer back in twenty seventeen. The
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: decision means a lawsuit by Deborah Cruz Gullius can proceed.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: Detroit officer uh Minard stopped Cruz gay, that's a woman's name,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: and wrote her a ticket for a lesser violation. But
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: when that stop was over, the woman raised her middle finger. Uh.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: The officer then pulled her over again and change the
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: ticket to a more serious speeding offense. The woman sued,
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: saying her free speech rights and her rights against unreasonable
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: seizure were violated. Her name is Deborah Cruz Gullius. Yeah, no,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: so what they say, can't we can't can't do that. No,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: it's you have the apparently you have the right speech right,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: but your black dudes can't put your wrists on top
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: of the stairs wheel at ten and two and spread
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: all ten of your fingers. Yes, and if you can
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: tape your tape, your IDA, your insurance outside on your window,
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: but you ain't got to reach for nothing. It's all
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: out there right there on that one. Yeah, you know,
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: we can't do that. From we can't turn, we can't
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: do nothing, pulled over, gave her a ticket, yeah, And
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: then she gave him the finger, and then he pulled
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: her over again, but she sued him though, and and
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: one apparent. Well they're gonna, yeah, fight it out. I
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: guess this. But the police officers could have just let
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: her go. Yeah, but the fact that she did that,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: what did he feel? Pick protected or yeah, like I'll
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: show you, I'll show you who you think you Yeah
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: m hm, yes exactly. I ain't shot. I ain't done
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: that in a long time. But you ain't deal threw
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: something at the finger. I didn't say it. You don't
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: have to fit it. You just say what's on your mind. Yes,
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: right there, say it. But Steve said he just did
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: it yesterday. He probably did it and see it. What
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: did you do it to him for? I would just
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: play with him? Really? Oh uh huh Okay, that means
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: he loves you. That's an endearment sign. Yeah, from the
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Steven's way, he gets express it. Yeah, well, what what
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: did he do? Did he shoot you the bird back?
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: Steve flip you the bird back? What did he do? Yeah?
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: He did? He just put it on top of his
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: staff on. Oh so the audience wouldn't see him. And
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: that's like he was scratching his leg with their flames.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: That's crazy of endearment. Yeah, wow, have I have what
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: you're telling the call. Have you done that in a
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: long time? Like Tommy said, sometimes you just gotta say,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: all right, We'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this you're listening to. So
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: just in case you were wondering, Samuel L. Jackson is
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: no fan of the President's Okay, Samuel L. Is on
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: the cover of the current upcoming April issue of Esquire magazine.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: He has some pointed choice words for number forty five
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: and Tommy, your nephew. Maybe he'll make you proud now
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Steve Tommy is here to interpret on behalf of Samuel.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: Go ahead, Tommy, this mother is like ruining the planet
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: at all. Kinds are crazies people, But that's okay. It's
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: not okay. And if you're not saying anything, then you
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: complish it. I'm sorry, let him finish it. I know
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: how many mother hate me. I'm never gonna see you
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: Sam Jackson movie again. I don't care. And if you
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: never went to a another movie I did in my life,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lose. And in my money, it's already
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: cast a chick. You burn up your video tape. I
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: don't give them in quality that man, this present dead
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: off this mother planet. Thank you Tommy. That interpretation man,
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: that is in the April issue of Esquire magazine. Take
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: it Up It swished magazine to buy. This is why
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: we love Samuel L. Jackson. Okay, he does not miss words.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: And then and ever since he turned seventy, he's really, really,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: really saying what exactly I love him? Good. Look at seventy,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: he looks because I got these ships. Well, thank you, nephew,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: I mean, Samuel yea, was that refreshing? Are you gonna
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: be someone to keep going on? Junior? I love Samuel Jackson.
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: Samuel Jackson for president, Oh my goodness, he would make
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: a great president. I probably had to quit one of
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: my jobs so I could watch mos C and n Yes,
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: I definitely have to come back. Stand up. Then I'd
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: have to come back. Yeah, yeah, Samuel L. Classic, it's
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: just the class. I'll give me some glasses and shade
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: my mustache and be Samuel Joy. We love us some
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: Samuel L. Jackson. Anyway, listen, we'll be back to close
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: out the show with our one last break of the
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: day right after this the sakes. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: Here we are last break of the day. Take us
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: home with some great closing remarks, like you always do
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: what you got for us today, in light of social media,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: in light of all of you, which is almost everybody
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: listening who has to deal with haters from time to time,
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: let me just say this. You can be surprised at
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: what the president says all. You can be one of
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: those who say, I'm not surprised at all. I knew it.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: You can claim to have known this. How anyone could
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: have known this quality of president is beyond me. This
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: level of unpresidentialness is beyond me. How you could have
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: known that. But if you want to claim that, I'm
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: okay with that, go ahead. But whether it's him, whether
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: it's social media, whether it's haters, you can listen to it.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: I'm not going to stop going where I'm headed, to
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: stop along the way and deal with something that has
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: no bearing on where I'm headed. As unpresidential as this
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: man is, he has no bearing on where you're headed.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: He really don't, unless you allow him to have that. Well,
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: I disagree with you, Steve. This is my closing remarks,
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: and you're okay to disagree with this. But mar Luther
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: King said it best. He said a man can't ride
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: your back unless you bend over. I'm not allowing the president,
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: social media haters, or anybody, and I'm inviting all of
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: you to join along. They can't ride your back unless
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: you bend over. Stand tall, stay up. Don't allow these
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: people to stop you. Don't allow these people to determine
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: your outcome. See here's the problem with stopping along the way.
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: See the problem with stopping along the way is it
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: slows your progress. And ain't that one of the beautiful
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: tricks of the devil. The devil is so smart, man,
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: he knows what to do here thor curveball your way
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: that really has no bearing on where you're going, really
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: has no truth to it, and wind up occupying time
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: devoted to it, which is now slowing you from going
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: where you're headed. Don't do it in twenty eighteen. That
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: president that's in the White House, that man will not
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: determine your outcome. He just doesn't. They're not making policy
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: up in the White House for our benefit. But then
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: let me ask you when have they. Oh, we've had
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: some stuff come down, you know, affirmative action, you know
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: which they took that back. You know, we've had you know,
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: some things come down to Civil Rights Voting Act, which
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: you have to revote for every year. They take that
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: back if they could. We've had a lot of things
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: that have come the healthcare they're trying to resend that.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: You know, we've had some stuff that could have really
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: benefited us, But at the end of the day, were
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: the determining factor as to how far we go in life.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: And stop lending yourself to this president, to hatred, to
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: social media, to people's opinion of you. Stop lending yourself
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: to those things and keep going where you are headed.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Stop breaking for foolishness. You know how you see people
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: with the bumper sticker I break for animals, you know,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: get your new bumper sticker to say, I don't break
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: for fools. I don't pump my brakes no more for fools.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: I have no time for foolishness. I don't care what
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: your opinion of me is. You're wrong anyway. You know
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: how many times people say things about you that are
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: really so far off base from the truth, So why
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: give it time? You don't even most of your haters
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: don't even really know you, And then you can the
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: most hate from somebody that you try to help that's
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: the other part. But because now they life ain't turned
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: out where they wanted to be. Now you had fought
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: for that, so now he come to hate. Don't break
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: for fools. Keep your feet on the gas pedal. I
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: might make that my new thing. I break for no foolishness.
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: Feel how you want to feel about me, because the
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: only opinion of me that really matters is how God
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: feels about me. Now, I'm not saying it's not important
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: how your spouse feels about you, or your children or
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: so forth and so on. But I'm not saying that.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: But when it comes to haters, you know you cannot
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: matter to me. You can't. Your job simply is to hate.
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: You work for the devil. You're an imp, and the
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: devil has millions of imps who are busy twenty four seven.
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: They got fake screen names. When you go on the
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: page to try to see who they are, the saying
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: something about you all the pages is private. What how
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: big of a coward can you be? You're gonna say
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: something about me, but you ain't man or woman enough
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: to say who you are. Man, bump you get out
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: of here. Don't break for foolishness, Let it go. Keep
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: moving forward. God got a great life for you. You
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: just gotta claim it and don't let nobody stop you.
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: Not the haters, not social media, and not your present. Okay,
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: y'all have a great weekend. I like that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
