- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come come on your fah huh. I'll
- 2:02Speaker 1: show will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay. I want to share something
- 2:16Speaker 1: with you that I had to come to the realization
- 2:18Speaker 1: one time and even in the reinvention of myself right now,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I've had to come to that and I want to
- 2:24Speaker 1: share it with you today. Give it to you. I
- 2:28Speaker 1: want to tell you about something that a lot of
- 2:30Speaker 1: people do in their life and I want you to
- 2:33Speaker 1: be aware of it. Here it is, don't get stuck
- 2:37Speaker 1: on yourself. You could be wrong. You know I said
- 2:47Speaker 1: don't get stuck on yourself. You could be wrong. You know.
- 2:54Speaker 1: The reason I'm saying this is because people have a
- 3:00Speaker 1: tendency to once they make a decision about something, or
- 3:05Speaker 1: once they decide to go a certain path, they go
- 3:09Speaker 1: against all everything, anything anybody says, anything anybody might do,
- 3:16Speaker 1: any other ruling they may come across. They shun advice,
- 3:23Speaker 1: They don't listen to counsel. They just I made the decision.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it anyway. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You could be wrong, you know. Now here's a sure
- 3:40Speaker 1: fire way to tell if you're wrong. If you don't
- 3:46Speaker 1: see any movement in the direction you've chosen, if you
- 3:54Speaker 1: don't see anything going right in that decision, if you
- 4:01Speaker 1: feel as though you're interrupt if the wall you're climbing
- 4:07Speaker 1: seems so insurmountable that you ain't even moving an inch,
- 4:13Speaker 1: and every time you turn around you keep getting knocked
- 4:16Speaker 1: by down, knocked back down. Don't get stuck on yourself.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You know you could be wrong. You know. See, that's
- 4:23Speaker 1: why it's important for people to always be open to
- 4:27Speaker 1: the reinvention of yourself. You know, you cannot be afraid
- 4:33Speaker 1: to reinvent yourself. In other words, you can't be afraid
- 4:38Speaker 1: to change. Change is necessary when it comes to growth.
- 4:44Speaker 1: There is no growth without change. The more you know,
- 4:49Speaker 1: the older you look. That is no growth without change.
- 4:56Speaker 1: If you're heading in a direction, it ain't nothing going
- 4:58Speaker 1: right in your life. Could it be the wrong direction.
- 5:02Speaker 1: If you're climbing and you're making no headway, could it
- 5:05Speaker 1: be the wrong direction? Could you have possibly made the
- 5:10Speaker 1: wrong choice. Don't get stuck on yourself because you didn't
- 5:13Speaker 1: made the wrong stuff. It's okay to forgive yourself. It's
- 5:16Speaker 1: okay to let yourself off the hook. It's even smarter
- 5:20Speaker 1: sometimes to admit that you were wrong. You ever met
- 5:23Speaker 1: somebody ain't ever wrong. Have you ever met somebody you
- 5:27Speaker 1: talk to? They ain't ever wrong about nothing. Man, They
- 5:30Speaker 1: just it's their way or the highway. It's this is
- 5:33Speaker 1: my way, this is the I know people like that,
- 5:36Speaker 1: stuck on them powered trips and all like that. You
- 5:38Speaker 1: know what I had to learn how to do. I
- 5:40Speaker 1: had to learn how to let them go on them
- 5:42Speaker 1: powered trips. But listen to this. Though you're not taking
- 5:45Speaker 1: me on that trip. Though you're going on that trip
- 5:47Speaker 1: by yourself, I'm going in the right direction. I've decided
- 5:52Speaker 1: to stop the way. Okay, listen to this, this person,
- 5:56Speaker 1: this person, I decided to stop doing business the way
- 6:00Speaker 1: I was doing business. I decided to stop to allow
- 6:04Speaker 1: business being done around me the way business was being
- 6:07Speaker 1: done around me. You know what, you know, the best
- 6:10Speaker 1: decision I made was to allow for God to have
- 6:16Speaker 1: some say so and to offer me his direction. I
- 6:21Speaker 1: have found him to be a better driver than anyone
- 6:24Speaker 1: else I know. I have found him to know more
- 6:28Speaker 1: about the man he made than anybody else who's merely
- 6:34Speaker 1: associating with me. I have found it to be a
- 6:37Speaker 1: fact that my maker knows more about the vehicle he
- 6:42Speaker 1: created than does anybody else. If you if your Chevy break,
- 6:46Speaker 1: don't you take it to Chevy. You don't take your
- 6:50Speaker 1: Forward when it break down to a Toyota dealership. They
- 6:53Speaker 1: not gonna know everything that the Ford dealership would know
- 6:56Speaker 1: about the vehicle. You know why, because they're not the
- 6:59Speaker 1: maker of it. So now, why are you letting you
- 7:03Speaker 1: letting your life being led, control and guided by somebody
- 7:09Speaker 1: other than your maker. I'm just asking you to let's
- 7:12Speaker 1: all take a common sense look at this. So, if
- 7:16Speaker 1: going to your maker's the best way, the best decision
- 7:19Speaker 1: I made in my business was take over my brand myself,
- 7:24Speaker 1: and to allow the maker of this brand see without God,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I'm none of this I'm none of this. I want
- 7:30Speaker 1: you to clearly understand I ain't none of this without him.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I wish I could have the guts to reach back
- 7:37Speaker 1: there and pat myself on the back for what I've
- 7:40Speaker 1: accomplished in my life. I wish I had the guts.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I wish the nerve of me because I know for
- 7:47Speaker 1: or fact that there is no way that I could
- 7:50Speaker 1: have manufacted the life that I have. I could not
- 7:53Speaker 1: even have thought of it. It's no way I could
- 7:57Speaker 1: have told you that this was the route I was
- 7:59Speaker 1: gonna take the outcome because of it, I had no idea,
- 8:03Speaker 1: no clue. The one thing I had, though, was an
- 8:07Speaker 1: unshakable faith in God. I had an I just kept
- 8:13Speaker 1: believing in him. I kept believing that he had something
- 8:17Speaker 1: more for me. And then when I touched base with
- 8:20Speaker 1: him and asked him to show me what it is
- 8:22Speaker 1: what he had for me, Tada, the magic show began.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Because you know what he did. He took all my
- 8:29Speaker 1: natural abilities that he had given to me, This gift
- 8:32Speaker 1: that he gave me, that he poured into me at birth,
- 8:36Speaker 1: that same gift that he poured into you at birth.
- 8:39Speaker 1: The moment you go to him and let him show
- 8:41Speaker 1: you that gift, and then guess what. Once he takes
- 8:46Speaker 1: what he naturally put in you and put his super
- 8:49Speaker 1: his superpowers on top of that, then you have some
- 8:52Speaker 1: supernatural things going on in your life, and you may
- 8:55Speaker 1: not be feeling me. I'm cool with that, but I
- 9:01Speaker 1: didn't have some supernatural things happen to me. Every day
- 9:05Speaker 1: I wake up some supernatural the man, the rewards of
- 9:10Speaker 1: my life, the awards of my life, the accomplishments, the
- 9:13Speaker 1: how I'm working, the how I manage it all, all
- 9:16Speaker 1: that ain't none but God. That ain't nothing but God.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You can't even explain this schedule to people Sometimes when
- 9:22Speaker 1: people ask me, Steve, how do you do it? I go, well,
- 9:25Speaker 1: it's what I manage my time. Then at the end
- 9:27Speaker 1: of when I get through, I say, hey, man, you
- 9:28Speaker 1: know what I need to tell y'all for real, it's God.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I don't really know, but I'm letting him manage me.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So he handling it. He ain't gonna put no more
- 9:36Speaker 1: of it than I can bear. Listen to me, y'all,
- 9:38Speaker 1: don't be afraid to reinvent yourself and remember this. Don't
- 9:42Speaker 1: get stuck on yourself because you could be wrong. You
- 9:45Speaker 1: know you absolutely could be wrong. If you don't tie
- 9:51Speaker 1: this to your gift, you will be struggling the rest
- 9:55Speaker 1: of your life. You're listening ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 10:03Speaker 1: people from all around the world. You are listening to
- 10:05Speaker 1: the baddest morning showing the land. This is the Steve
- 10:09Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Yesterday we dedicated to show to pool shooters.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Oh really, people that shoot pool. Rag them up, boy,
- 10:19Speaker 1: that's what I did make money, boy, Yeah, rag boy,
- 10:24Speaker 1: rag them up. Today's show it's dedicated to people that
- 10:29Speaker 1: go down to the beach and pee in the water.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I know you've done it to show us for you. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: bath through too far? Yeah, you don't know. Are you here?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Nobody struggling to find a bare room on the beach? Ever,
- 10:46Speaker 1: nobody just standing on that beach. Come up, where is
- 10:49Speaker 1: the restaurantbott It ain't pull the party down. The water
- 10:59Speaker 1: in the water, in the water, we gonna pee and
- 11:10Speaker 1: water in the water, in the water. Peece in the water,
- 11:21Speaker 1: stand out there with a smile on his face. Yeah,
- 11:25Speaker 1: in the water. You know what they're doing. Just but
- 11:28Speaker 1: I look on the some bodies peeing in the water.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Looking at that water can take all y'all's peep. Don't
- 11:40Speaker 1: swim in the yellow pod. Don't swim in the yellow water.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Don't swim in the yellow pod because someone peed in
- 11:57Speaker 1: the water. He could go platinum selling. He's gonna go platinum.
- 12:05Speaker 1: What's it called? M pan in the water? M Mmmm?
- 12:16Speaker 1: I love it? Make you want to peo? No, I
- 12:21Speaker 1: got to go back. Who is the water? Warm is
- 12:31Speaker 1: the water? Because someone peeding the water? Someone peeding the water,
- 12:44Speaker 1: breaking some onely peeding the water? Love it? Whoa, whoa,
- 12:56Speaker 1: that's who the Days show is dedicated. Don't tell us
- 13:05Speaker 1: you ain't never done h I didn't say that bores
- 13:12Speaker 1: you when you ain't never done it. I've walked out
- 13:14Speaker 1: in the water, tinkled, I had a cigar, walked out there,
- 13:30Speaker 1: just wasting, drinking a peanut. We gotta go to break guys,
- 13:39Speaker 1: coming up something funny. You're listening to show? All right,
- 13:47Speaker 1: here we are the sensitive crew that we are, hot
- 13:52Speaker 1: hand crew that we are. We're all to something what Okay?
- 14:02Speaker 1: I am the one on the show that likes to
- 14:05Speaker 1: keep the most mess oh by, I want to volunteer
- 14:12Speaker 1: for that because for me, it's excited. Yes, Like if
- 14:16Speaker 1: I see any two of y'all are about to go
- 14:18Speaker 1: at it. I show you do. Oh you are the head.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Can let me ask you a question, Steve? Is that healthy?
- 14:30Speaker 1: Do you think that's a healthy worldly? Do? I do?
- 14:34Speaker 1: I do? That's way for us to operate as a
- 14:38Speaker 1: company successfully is to get it all out. I love
- 14:42Speaker 1: when the the the argument or whatever, the disagreement has
- 14:46Speaker 1: died down, and then he'll he walked away thought of something,
- 14:52Speaker 1: come back and get it started all over again. He'll
- 14:55Speaker 1: bob oh, ain't no doubt, thank you. And that's what
- 15:00Speaker 1: I'm here for, guys, to make sure that we have healthy,
- 15:04Speaker 1: healthy relationship. You know, nobody's harboring any sentiments and ill
- 15:10Speaker 1: wheel towards one enough because we get it all out.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You want to get it for exams? Right now? Come on,
- 15:15Speaker 1: let's go. I'm thinking between Junior and and Jay. I
- 15:21Speaker 1: think the two of them being the sikest people on
- 15:25Speaker 1: I think the fact that they go at one another
- 15:28Speaker 1: so relitiously, I think that's actually healthy. Well, it makes
- 15:32Speaker 1: me feel better knowing he growing that. Junior. Y'all, y'all,
- 15:40Speaker 1: what his name now? Junior? What have you had to
- 15:44Speaker 1: speak at his funeral? After that? What would you say though,
- 15:49Speaker 1: First of all, I'm going in check the casket over
- 15:51Speaker 1: see if his body this show ego, you're not gonna
- 15:56Speaker 1: be sad or cried. You're wait a minute, Hey, he
- 16:01Speaker 1: has not been a supporter. It's true, Jay, it is
- 16:06Speaker 1: absolutely true. He was gonna have the sticker cell walk, right,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and remember that they had to know this was they
- 16:14Speaker 1: had the flood. All I said is well, he said,
- 16:17Speaker 1: well it's raining, we can't have the walk. I said,
- 16:19Speaker 1: why can't you have to swim? And so he got
- 16:21Speaker 1: really upset about that. Yeah, you know, get water. But
- 16:31Speaker 1: here's my thing. If I do die, I have left
- 16:34Speaker 1: instructions that my funeral be cold as I mean, it's
- 16:43Speaker 1: gonna be in an ice box. So he dum it. Wow, guy,
- 16:54Speaker 1: but this is all day. This is all all day.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Will hit you with a mic standing contesting improvement. I
- 17:02Speaker 1: have heard that he will hit you. I was with
- 17:06Speaker 1: me when he did. Some things happen laugh a lot, allegedly,
- 17:14Speaker 1: allegedly there's no film on that. We're all very very sensitive,
- 17:22Speaker 1: very sensitive. Now you want to know who throw the
- 17:25Speaker 1: most punches at Tommy, don't you're looking at really throws them.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Steve just takes the alley hoop and dump you throwing
- 17:41Speaker 1: the holly hoop, and I don't go and get it
- 17:44Speaker 1: now that right there would be Now I'm now I'm
- 17:46Speaker 1: a pop power forward now because I just love seeing
- 17:50Speaker 1: him snap off. I just pushing his button, know why.
- 17:56Speaker 1: But he's gotten so much better, but a lot. Because
- 17:59Speaker 1: he's gotten better, that means I have to go harder.
- 18:02Speaker 1: And I think you know the other. Yes, he's finally
- 18:06Speaker 1: reached the point where he's really doing what he wants to.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So he's happy. And now I'm in a good place.
- 18:11Speaker 1: You know what, you know what Joe j. I mean,
- 18:14Speaker 1: he really is. He's in a much better place, and
- 18:19Speaker 1: he's touring. This is the happiest he's and he's not
- 18:22Speaker 1: home much. That is the main I was gonna say.
- 18:27Speaker 1: And he's been in a lot of movies home much.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's a side kid, she just did. Come on, he's
- 18:38Speaker 1: been in so many movies. Let's talk about its secure.
- 18:49Speaker 1: That was That was his biography, the story of his life.
- 18:53Speaker 1: That's what doctor. Yes, hearts that was it. He was
- 19:01Speaker 1: in Media Boo, the first one. Yeah, he was in
- 19:06Speaker 1: Think like a Man. I think he said that. What
- 19:08Speaker 1: about that karate movie he was in that week low
- 19:14Speaker 1: ass kicks. There was some hot kicks the kicks to you.
- 19:25Speaker 1: All you was doing was kicking me in my stumble.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Oh my god, I forgot about him. No, we haven't
- 19:34Speaker 1: see but he is much happier now. And guess guess
- 19:38Speaker 1: who started that folk? Surely surely you started. I started
- 19:47Speaker 1: about the movie, Yes, you did. I own it. You started,
- 19:54Speaker 1: then you back out and just do last because because
- 19:58Speaker 1: if I started, you were shut to finish it. What
- 20:02Speaker 1: I appreciate about you, though, Shirley, is you laugh hard.
- 20:08Speaker 1: It's about my friend. You're laughing at your free laughing. Yeah,
- 20:14Speaker 1: oh god, Allie you but you do sound happier, man,
- 20:19Speaker 1: much happier. Yes, sir, thank you, thank you. I'm in there. Man.
- 20:23Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 20:25Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey
- 20:30Speaker 1: Morning Show. Right now, it's time for the nephew to
- 20:33Speaker 1: run that prank back a hot brother, brother, let's run now. Hello, Hey,
- 20:41Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Alan. This is Alan Alan. How
- 20:45Speaker 1: you doing man? My name is Bobby. Bobby. Uh, what
- 20:49Speaker 1: can I do for you? I got your number man
- 20:51Speaker 1: from the from the hospital. Did you just within the last.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I guess three four months if you get a heart transplant,
- 21:01Speaker 1: but then half months ago Yeah I did, I did
- 21:03Speaker 1: three and a half months ago. Okay, how you can feeling? Man?
- 21:08Speaker 1: Actually good, I'm actually up and around faster than I
- 21:10Speaker 1: thought it was gonna be, you know. So I'm doing well.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Thank you? Are you with are you? Are you with
- 21:17Speaker 1: the hospital? No? No, I'm not. Um. Actually, you know,
- 21:21Speaker 1: they gave me your number. Man. I hope you kate
- 21:23Speaker 1: wit but you you you actually? Uh the heart that
- 21:28Speaker 1: you got was from from my brother try Oh my god.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Really yeah that's my brother. Oh I'm so sorry about
- 21:38Speaker 1: your brother. But wow, I gotta tell you he saved
- 21:40Speaker 1: my life. Man. Yeah yeah yeah, so so I you know,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I just want to call you. Man. I hope you
- 21:47Speaker 1: on mind. You know, no, no, not at all. It's
- 21:51Speaker 1: kind of like a little bit of my brothers. It's
- 21:53Speaker 1: still living, you know what I mean? It kind of
- 21:55Speaker 1: it kind of feels like my brother's still living. So
- 21:58Speaker 1: that's a good thing. It's a good that's glad. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 1: let me ask you this man. I'm just curious because
- 22:06Speaker 1: you your Caucasian, right yeah, yeah, I'm like, yeah, do
- 22:09Speaker 1: you feel any any different having a black man's heart
- 22:13Speaker 1: and your body. Dudu up, No, I don't feel any difference.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Uh no, Oh. I didn't think about it though. And this,
- 22:23Speaker 1: this would just make me and the rest of the
- 22:24Speaker 1: family feel good that we knew what he was dedicated
- 22:27Speaker 1: to and the things that matter matter to him. Would
- 22:30Speaker 1: you feel all right joining the NAACP Uh? Is that
- 22:36Speaker 1: are there? Some people are gonna be upset that I joined.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I mean it's that okay, Well, you know, I don't
- 22:42Speaker 1: know about anybody being upset. Man, It's just I know
- 22:45Speaker 1: my brother that that's what he was a part of,
- 22:47Speaker 1: and you know, you you walking around with his heart. Man,
- 22:51Speaker 1: it would just feel different than feel great, you know,
- 22:53Speaker 1: to have to feel like he would be back in
- 22:55Speaker 1: there doing what he was doing and fighting for injustice
- 23:00Speaker 1: for the black community. Now you are democratic a Republican?
- 23:04Speaker 1: Well you know, I mean honest with that. I was
- 23:06Speaker 1: Republican until Trump and now I'm just really I'm kind
- 23:11Speaker 1: of on the science. I mean, that guy's an idiot.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You did vote for Trump. I did not, But I
- 23:16Speaker 1: am a Republican, okay. So and the reason why, you know,
- 23:19Speaker 1: because I'm just curious man about it. What I what
- 23:21Speaker 1: I would hate to see is you know, when twenty
- 23:23Speaker 1: twenty come around, you know, you you over there in
- 23:27Speaker 1: the voting booth, you know, with my brother black Heart
- 23:30Speaker 1: and you and there you know, voting Republican uh, you know,
- 23:34Speaker 1: and and and that's something that I know my brother
- 23:36Speaker 1: wouldn't be doing. You know what I'm saying. So I'm
- 23:37Speaker 1: just I'm just asking, well, I mean, I'm not happy
- 23:41Speaker 1: with Trump, but if someone else in the Republican party
- 23:43Speaker 1: runs and I agree with them, I'm it's kind of
- 23:46Speaker 1: like it's my heart. Now, I can't change my point
- 23:50Speaker 1: of view just because of that. I mean, yeah, but
- 23:52Speaker 1: but but but what you're not gonna do, though, man,
- 23:56Speaker 1: is be in there with my brother black Heart, and
- 23:58Speaker 1: you up in there making something seasons that I know
- 24:01Speaker 1: my brother wouldn't do. You see what I'm saying. That's
- 24:03Speaker 1: a long way off, man, But I can't promise you that.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I mean, if somebody runs and that, like, I mean,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna vote the way I feel my heart and
- 24:11Speaker 1: my head tell me the one. Don't don't say what
- 24:15Speaker 1: my heart because that ain't your heart. You understand, my
- 24:18Speaker 1: brother hard So you got every right to ask me
- 24:21Speaker 1: what you think my brother would steel in his heart?
- 24:24Speaker 1: And I tell you, do you understand what I'm saying?
- 24:27Speaker 1: I don't ask the way I feel. Man, Let me
- 24:30Speaker 1: ask something. Have you have you been like craving different
- 24:33Speaker 1: kinds of foods that you don't need? Have you been
- 24:35Speaker 1: looking at I don't know. I mean girl like greens?
- 24:38Speaker 1: Like my brother ate a lot of greens. Did you
- 24:39Speaker 1: do you feel like you've wounds and greens? Sometimes? I
- 24:42Speaker 1: like greens occasionally. Yeah? Okay, man, have all of a sudden,
- 24:46Speaker 1: do you like women who have big butts? All of
- 24:50Speaker 1: women in general? I didn't think about specifics, but you know,
- 24:53Speaker 1: if they're good looking, they're good looking. Well wait, wait
- 24:56Speaker 1: a minute, what kind of calls this? Man? I mean,
- 24:59Speaker 1: you're asking me all these random questions. Why what I
- 25:02Speaker 1: don't I don't understand. Where it has comes from? Is
- 25:04Speaker 1: coming from my brother's hat. That's where it's coming from.
- 25:08Speaker 1: You got my brother black heart inside of you, you know. Yeah,
- 25:11Speaker 1: I'm asking you. I'm asking you to do what my
- 25:14Speaker 1: brother would do, not what you would do. You want
- 25:17Speaker 1: to do it from your heart? You then you do
- 25:18Speaker 1: it from my brother's heart. When you first called me
- 25:21Speaker 1: about your brother, I was excited. Now I'm saying, how
- 25:23Speaker 1: much did the hospital give you just this number? And
- 25:25Speaker 1: you get to call me up? That's privilege information. You
- 25:28Speaker 1: shouldn't get to just call me and ask me all
- 25:30Speaker 1: these random questions. Man, I just got a heart test plan.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Now you're starting to get me worked up. If I'm
- 25:36Speaker 1: not trying to get you worked up, all I'm trying

- 25:48Speaker 1: me ask you had your music change or you're listening
- 25:50Speaker 1: to more art and B Now? I do like R
- 25:53Speaker 1: and B, but I listen to hard rock too. That
- 25:55Speaker 1: hasn't changed. Because what's in Troy part one stage in
- 25:58Speaker 1: short heart? You understand? So you got to have that's
- 26:02Speaker 1: in your heart now, Greens did BUTTSP, That's what I'm saying. Okay,

- 26:35Speaker 1: think that's the only right jay Z and be honestly,
- 26:38Speaker 1: because sir, we go together because that's what me and

- 35:17Speaker 1: get the news. And Junior and I talked about this.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Your mama could get the news. We had no internet,
- 35:22Speaker 1: we didn't have the phone, there was no texting. But
- 35:26Speaker 1: by time Anne Lee Brown got to that house off
- 35:29Speaker 1: that bus, she knew everything that went down. I don't
- 35:33Speaker 1: know how she knew. I have no idea. She started
- 35:36Speaker 1: off like so what you're doing downtown of day? Yeah,
- 35:43Speaker 1: you know I didn't know that. I ain't told nobody.
- 35:52Speaker 1: There was no social media, right. We immediately lou rabbits,
- 36:00Speaker 1: punk Ass, this slew, this slew your slew. Told Miss
- 36:17Speaker 1: Pattis that I was the one that put the fire
- 36:23Speaker 1: crackers in her tulips in her front yard and lit
- 36:28Speaker 1: the foe fire crackers and blew the damn tulips. Little rabbit,
- 36:33Speaker 1: punk Ass told me. Miss Patterson went cross street, told
- 36:36Speaker 1: my mom, man, I got my ass. How long was it?
- 36:42Speaker 1: How long wasn't it waiting? It felt like my fifteen minutes?
- 36:47Speaker 1: And I asked the question, did you did it? Did it? Yeah?
- 36:57Speaker 1: I knew you did it? This one? What made you
- 37:01Speaker 1: do that? Man? She was hateful? Man, okay, man, Like
- 37:04Speaker 1: if our football rolled in the yard, that was no, no, no,
- 37:07Speaker 1: you can't. You don't go on that grass. She go
- 37:10Speaker 1: down there, get the football, take it in the house, baseball,
- 37:16Speaker 1: go on her, y'all, don't go in my yard. I'll
- 37:18Speaker 1: tell you mom and dad. Then she come down here
- 37:20Speaker 1: and get the baseball and roll it down the street.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Now we got to hear him get on and pride
- 37:29Speaker 1: in her yard. She ain't but eight too, but I
- 37:35Speaker 1: couldn't get on, so I only could do foe I
- 37:39Speaker 1: had time. Oh my god. Yeah, my mom's ex boyfriend,
- 37:48Speaker 1: my mom's boyfriend at the time. She was dating this man,
- 37:52Speaker 1: and he was coming in to see us from the
- 37:55Speaker 1: front yard. And there was a phone booth not really
- 37:58Speaker 1: far from my house at the time, Remember the My
- 38:02Speaker 1: cousin and I were in there playing on the phone
- 38:04Speaker 1: like we were talking. So he went in the house
- 38:06Speaker 1: and told my mom that we were in the phone
- 38:08Speaker 1: booth calling some boys. Yeah, and we word all right.
- 38:14Speaker 1: The next thing I knew, I'm getting dragged out. We
- 38:20Speaker 1: weren't even doing that. I wasn't that not that time
- 38:27Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, Steve, here we go. This
- 38:32Speaker 1: is interesting. Listen to this question. Is it emotional cheating
- 38:36Speaker 1: to get butterflies around someone who isn't your significant other?
- 38:40Speaker 1: Have you ever had an encounter with someone, for instance,
- 38:43Speaker 1: who you were really attracted to physically, and after a
- 38:47Speaker 1: few minutes of talking with them or like hanging out,
- 38:50Speaker 1: you started to get those like you know, little crush
- 38:52Speaker 1: butterflies and your tummy In the past all the time,
- 39:00Speaker 1: several times a week, really back in the past, though, Yeah,
- 39:05Speaker 1: of course it was in the past. We're all happily
- 39:08Speaker 1: married now us so nice to meet you. What that's
- 39:14Speaker 1: all they had to say? Oh my god, you're so
- 39:18Speaker 1: much tolerant person. Oh my god, I love all your
- 39:23Speaker 1: facial features. I love your dimples. You do, girl, I
- 39:29Speaker 1: like you everything. My heart is changing. I got butterflies.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Is this just human nature for someone? You know, if
- 39:41Speaker 1: you like someone emotionally, something that you just can't help
- 39:45Speaker 1: And is it only wrong if you act on it? So?
- 39:48Speaker 1: Is it natural? Oh? Absolutely, it's only wrong if you
- 39:51Speaker 1: act on it. I think you know, people are humans.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I'm good. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that it's some men
- 39:58Speaker 1: that my wife's saying. She go, wow, he's handsome, attracted,
- 40:01Speaker 1: you know, and she could say that to her damn self. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:05Speaker 1: okay and to her girlfriend. Yeah. Women have much stronger
- 40:11Speaker 1: conversations than men do. Oh, don't lie, y'all be saying so,
- 40:15Speaker 1: But y'all have saying some stuff on this show out loud, ladies,
- 40:18Speaker 1: about Idris Elba and about Denzel Washington that cannot be
- 40:23Speaker 1: misunderstood by anybody. And Morgan Freeman, thank you. You ain't
- 40:28Speaker 1: no body girls. You guys you guys are right, don't
- 40:37Speaker 1: you right? We don't see it, not any what's sexy
- 40:40Speaker 1: about him? Sure? I like his voice, get those trains,
- 40:44Speaker 1: do what you like about but I've never met him.
- 40:52Speaker 1: But anyway, where were you gonna say, Steve, No about
- 40:55Speaker 1: what I think you were saying. What I was saying
- 40:58Speaker 1: that Stevens talking about celebrities, what we have said on
- 41:00Speaker 1: the air about celebrities, celebrities. I think the emotional cheating
- 41:03Speaker 1: question is for anybody, you know, anybody, for anybody? Yeah,
- 41:07Speaker 1: the grocery stow, how y'all, I'm cheating emotionally and physically. Okay,
- 41:15Speaker 1: thanksgiving us the next week. Okay, right here, ladies on
- 41:19Speaker 1: this show, this is just a hypothetical question. Everybody on

- 41:28Speaker 1: she's there, Monica, you have a mic? Yes, okay, listen
- 41:34Speaker 1: to me. I'm gonna go around the room. This is
- 41:36Speaker 1: a hypothetical question. Everybody is single, they won't and you
- 41:43Speaker 1: have to be in a full blown relationship. All of
- 41:48Speaker 1: us had to be involved with someone. Junior, who you're
- 41:51Speaker 1: gonna be involved with. I'm gonna write to Monica and
- 41:55Speaker 1: we got to be hypothetical have to really be hypothetical.
- 42:01Speaker 1: We don't. We just Junior Junior like that together man
- 42:09Speaker 1: out loud and quick, very loud. But he gonna have
- 42:13Speaker 1: some good catfish though. He gonna have some good So
- 42:15Speaker 1: wait a minute, So are you asking do we like
- 42:17Speaker 1: someone on the show or just period? Now? Just this
- 42:20Speaker 1: is the show hypothetical. I think we need to carry
- 42:24Speaker 1: this over. Y'all need to think about this, because Junior
- 42:27Speaker 1: just blurted out. Everybody, Monica bone this ship right on
- 42:32Speaker 1: over and it ain't got to be hypothetical. Man, wow, Wow, Okay,
- 42:40Speaker 1: well I see, Oh well, let me see Tommy. No,
- 42:45Speaker 1: I want to go after them. I want to hear
- 42:47Speaker 1: what they got. No, just answer the question. Okay, look
- 42:51Speaker 1: at the time, surely we got to go to break. No,
- 42:53Speaker 1: we don't. Yeah, we almost do. Now we gotta Junior
- 42:58Speaker 1: over here. We kicked back like he got both his hands.
- 43:02Speaker 1: He's just waiting for Monica to say the word. She
- 43:14Speaker 1: need to say. Yeah. All right, coming up next, Wow,
- 43:21Speaker 1: we'll find out about these crushes. You're listening to Steven show.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 43:29Speaker 1: four minutes after it's time for today Strawberry letter. But first,
- 43:34Speaker 1: all right, let's get back into it. Tommy, Well, no, no,
- 43:41Speaker 1: he asked you after Junior. We're talking about crushes right now.
- 43:46Speaker 1: We're all single in the room. We're all single in
- 43:48Speaker 1: the room. If we were hypothetically speaking ladies and gentlemen.
- 43:52Speaker 1: We went to Junior. Steve went to Junior. Junior said
- 43:56Speaker 1: out the gate, Monica Barnes, what's happening? So I let
- 44:01Speaker 1: you boy? Yeah, okay, so timing who you want to
- 44:05Speaker 1: be next time? I'm going with collar because I'm gonna eat,
- 44:09Speaker 1: she gonna cook. I've been in Mexico. But thembody laughing
- 44:22Speaker 1: is basically silent. So we did something quiet? Come on,
- 44:39Speaker 1: go ahead, a single. We're all single. I just make
- 44:43Speaker 1: a mess of it. So all three? Yeah, y'all three?
- 44:49Speaker 1: But did you'll find out about each other? Yeah? And
- 44:52Speaker 1: we don't share knowingly. Knowingly it'd probably be too late
- 44:57Speaker 1: by the end. All right. If I had to just
- 45:01Speaker 1: pick one, you know, I know I wouldn't want I
- 45:08Speaker 1: regret this because I don't like to be corrected all
- 45:10Speaker 1: the time, but probably had to be. Shirley. Well, thanks,
- 45:13Speaker 1: I'm the only one left. Thanks, you're gonna be home.
- 45:16Speaker 1: You're gonna be home though. Oh that's right, I forgot.
- 45:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I don't forgot. You got nice outfits though
- 45:27Speaker 1: at the restaurant. Whatever. Okay, Well when we come back
- 45:32Speaker 1: with this, the ladies turn. Okay, here's the prank. Hello. Hello,

- 51:02Speaker 1: right through your human resources window because I ain't going
- 51:05Speaker 1: to South Africa. And I keep telling you that I
- 51:08Speaker 1: told you that since you got in the damn phone,
- 51:10Speaker 1: I ain't going nowhere. Okay, but but but but let
- 51:16Speaker 1: me ask something. Frankly, you've been here for what us
- 51:19Speaker 1: for eight some years? Man, you don't you don't want
- 51:20Speaker 1: to continue your job here with the company. I don't
- 51:23Speaker 1: give a about this job right now, trying to send
- 51:25Speaker 1: me overseas like you're setting me up from them, I
- 51:28Speaker 1: ain't going out of fact. Let me turn this truck
- 51:30Speaker 1: on right now. I'm coming down and see you, mister

- 53:13Speaker 1: got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter. Subject,
- 53:18Speaker 1: I wish my boyfriend was bigger, Dear Stephen Shirley. I
- 53:23Speaker 1: am in my mid thirties, and I'm five one, and
- 53:26Speaker 1: I weigh one hundred and twenty eight pounds. I am
- 53:29Speaker 1: dating a personal trainer and he weighs one hundred and
- 53:32Speaker 1: seventy pounds. He used to weigh three hundred and fifty pounds,
- 53:36Speaker 1: and he worked hard to lose the weight and keep
- 53:39Speaker 1: it off. He is looking so good these days, but
- 53:42Speaker 1: we have a big problem. Our eating habits are totally
- 53:47Speaker 1: different now. I'm a country girl, so my meals are
- 53:51Speaker 1: pretty hefty and full of flavor. They aren't bad nutritionally,
- 53:55Speaker 1: but they definitely are not the healthiest option. My boyfriend
- 53:59Speaker 1: eats cheese, crackers, mixed nuts, salads, and smoothies while he's
- 54:03Speaker 1: at the gym working, and I have a full dinner
- 54:06Speaker 1: for him when he gets home. I love to cook,
- 54:09Speaker 1: so the other day I baked chicken, made mac and cheese, yams,
- 54:13Speaker 1: sauteed spinach and dinner rolls. My boyfriend walked in and
- 54:17Speaker 1: got mad as soon as he saw what I cooked.
- 54:21Speaker 1: This is how I've always cooked, and it's used what
- 54:24Speaker 1: he's used to eating, what he used to enjoy eating.
- 54:27Speaker 1: We've been arguing over food a lot recently, and most
- 54:30Speaker 1: nights we eat in silence because he's mad at me.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Mind you, he does eat everything I cook, including the bread.
- 54:38Speaker 1: I do add healthy options, such as baking the chicken
- 54:41Speaker 1: instead of frying it, and I include leafy green vegetables more.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I know he's scared of gaining his weight back, but
- 54:47Speaker 1: he needs to work on his willpower. I try to
- 54:50Speaker 1: eat the way he eats, and I literally passed out
- 54:53Speaker 1: at the gym. I got lighthearted and blacked out. Lightheaded,
- 54:58Speaker 1: I mean lightheaded and black out. Stephen Shirley, how can
- 55:01Speaker 1: we resolve our food issues? I want my men to
- 55:04Speaker 1: be happy and healthy, but I was happier when he
- 55:06Speaker 1: was fat. Well, he's not happy when he's fat. He's
- 55:11Speaker 1: not happier. And this is the problem. Your man has
- 55:14Speaker 1: a food issue and you're not helping with all that
- 55:17Speaker 1: good food and good smelling food around the house that
- 55:20Speaker 1: you cook. So let me ask you you finished this.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I want to say that I'm scared to answer this letter.
- 55:29Speaker 1: I just want to put that out there out there.
- 55:31Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say in the sake of comedy. I'm
- 55:34Speaker 1: doing my answer in the vein of comedy. Okay, feel
- 55:37Speaker 1: what you want to feel and get to tweets. Okay, yeah,
- 55:42Speaker 1: I mean, so you know you're not helping him with
- 55:45Speaker 1: all the good food. It's smelling good, it's tasting good.
- 55:47Speaker 1: So let me ask you this. If he were a
- 55:49Speaker 1: covering drug addict, would you have crack and weed lying
- 55:52Speaker 1: around the house. If he were an alcoholic, would you
- 55:56Speaker 1: have liquor and beer and wine all piled up in
- 55:58Speaker 1: the fridge? If he was done opioids? Okay, what you
- 56:02Speaker 1: have percoset and oxycodon in the in the medicine cabinet.
- 56:05Speaker 1: All right, you gotta think about this stuff. So don't
- 56:08Speaker 1: just say he needs to work on his willpower when
- 56:10Speaker 1: you put it right in front of his face and
- 56:12Speaker 1: under his nose. You know you've got to help a
- 56:15Speaker 1: brother out here. He's not trying to go back to
- 56:17Speaker 1: three hundred and fifty pounds. He's got his weight down
- 56:20Speaker 1: to a nice one hundred and seventy you said, he
- 56:23Speaker 1: looks so good. So maybe you can cook, you know,
- 56:27Speaker 1: a heavy meal like you cook on the weekend, you know,
- 56:29Speaker 1: give him a cheat day, keep it light and healthy
- 56:32Speaker 1: during the week, Okay, and then maybe you want, guys
- 56:35Speaker 1: won't be mad at the dinner table. Maybe you'll you know,
- 56:37Speaker 1: have some conversation instead of you know, eating in silence.
- 56:41Speaker 1: That's all he needs, some encouragement, some support. Steve, that
- 56:45Speaker 1: ain't what this let about. I'm gonna just go and
- 56:49Speaker 1: get to it. First of all, the letter opens with
- 56:51Speaker 1: a lie. These measurements is wrong. I'm in my mid thirties,
- 56:57Speaker 1: I'm fine. One yeah, who you know? Five one? She
- 57:03Speaker 1: just added the one she either five flat or hard
- 57:07Speaker 1: for eleven and I weigh a hundred and twenty eight pounds.
- 57:13Speaker 1: That's another lie. No woman gives her exact weight, so
- 57:19Speaker 1: you're saying she weighs more than Yeah, she's about five
- 57:22Speaker 1: one one fifty. She over there looking like a little
- 57:26Speaker 1: flow model TV. I'm just gonna tell you, and ain't
- 57:30Speaker 1: nothing wrong with it. I'm just giving you some facts. Now,
- 57:34Speaker 1: big boy weigh one hundred and seventy pounds, but he
- 57:36Speaker 1: used to weigh three fifty. Yea, he worked hard lose weight.
- 57:40Speaker 1: That here's a problem. They eating habits is totally different.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Here we go. I'm a country girl, so my meals
- 57:46Speaker 1: are pretty hefty and full of flavor. They aren't bad nutritionally.
- 57:51Speaker 1: What you just said, your meals is pretty hefty and
- 57:57Speaker 1: full of flavor. They aren't bad nutrition. That's they all
- 58:01Speaker 1: got a plate full of fat food and you want
- 58:03Speaker 1: to talk about it. Ain't bad nutritionly, You know what
- 58:06Speaker 1: you cooking. Yeah, it's a big country girl. And you
- 58:09Speaker 1: said it's a little This woman ain't little shit. You
- 58:17Speaker 1: hear what she over. They eat baking, She baking the chicken.
- 58:24Speaker 1: She got mac and cheese, and she got dinner rolls
- 58:27Speaker 1: and spinach. Once you eat mac and cheese and dinner rolls,
- 58:32Speaker 1: I don't give a damn what else you got on
- 58:34Speaker 1: your plate. It wins. That's a meal in and of itself.
- 58:41Speaker 1: They aren't bad nutritionly, but they definitely are not the
- 58:44Speaker 1: healthiest option. My boyfriend eas cheese, crackers, mixed nuts, salads,
- 58:50Speaker 1: and smooth it's while he at the gym working, and
- 58:52Speaker 1: I got a full dinner for him when he getting home.
- 58:54Speaker 1: I love a cook, So the other day I baked chicken,
- 58:57Speaker 1: made mac and cheese yams. You know what's she gonn
- 59:00Speaker 1: me am? She making salt tame, spinish and dinner rolls.
- 59:06Speaker 1: I know he's scared of gain his weight back, but
- 59:09Speaker 1: he needs to work on his wheel. Pip. I tried
- 59:12Speaker 1: to eat the way he eats, and I literally passed
- 59:14Speaker 1: out at the gym. Know what I was doing, had
- 59:17Speaker 1: my little wide ass on that tread meal, trying to
- 59:19Speaker 1: warm without tat dinner rolls in me. You ever tried
- 59:23Speaker 1: to walk on the tread meal without your dinner roles? Here,
- 59:28Speaker 1: You're gonna live waste without know maca cheese, all right?
- 59:30Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, hold on. We got to Steve's
- 59:34Speaker 1: a response coming up at twenty three after the hours subject,
- 59:38Speaker 1: I wish my boyfriend was bigger. Right after this you're listening, Well,
- 59:45Speaker 1: you know we're back everybody, and um, you know, here's
- 59:48Speaker 1: this woman who's in the mid thirty she's five one
- 59:51Speaker 1: and hunting twenty eight pounds. I think that's be kind
- 59:54Speaker 1: of cute, you know, five one hundred twenty eight pounds.
- 59:58Speaker 1: I think it's cute. I like TVs. That's sill. I'm
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: dating a personal trainer. He weighing a hunting Sandy pounds. Well,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: you know, why don't you stop dating? It might happen
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: just that way, Steve, Well, you know, why don't you
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: find a little shout, you find a little shot man
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: like like eat, I mean white. Can't they compromise the white? No? No,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: she wanted the man to be three fifty. He don't
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: want to be there. He doesn't. Yeah, and he mad
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: at you because he don't really want you to be
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: you know where. It looked like you headed too in
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: front of a cheat day, you know, and just try
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: to do it. Help what you know I want? Now?
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: They got to compromise jams. Yeah, yeah, but when you
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: lose waiting, somebody to jams and mac run and cheese
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: and they really don't kill much. Yeah, that's exactly exactly.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: In fact, you over there look like a little love seats.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: He's getting no support from her, she said. Instead of frying,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: she baked the chicken. Yeah, but you got the yams
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: and the mac and che and this is just like okay, well,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: let me just not say love seat and just make
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: it smaller than like a lazy boy. That's a little
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: reclin made out of hercul you think that it's better

- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Come on, we had a living room set that my
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: mama had bought off the back of the TV guy.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Remember that living room said, you can get thirty two
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: pieces from Phold ninety nine. Just say you can't help her.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: How you got me thinking about the TV guy? Yeah,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: you remember the TV guy. Man on back. TV guy
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: had the thirty two pieces living rooms, but they was
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: counting ash trees and coasters. Thirty two pieces living room said,
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: ain't never to couch in the little see that they
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: counting every coaster they get. By the time you put
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: it together, it broke apart. As on, why don't you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: and Jay do a re enactment of the dinner? Okay, okay,

- 1:03:51Speaker 1: field that I got the corn in the here and
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: rounded up made the meal. And baby, you don't use
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: corn meal to make roll even surely know that it
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: ain't rolls. And nobody you know corn, brad, no, damn
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: chitless I had. I had Calvin the turkey growing up

- 1:05:16Speaker 1: you you better be glad of a Christian because I
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: could take this ticket leg and beat your braid. Stop

- 1:06:09Speaker 1: the stew This question has been going on for the
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: last three breaks here at Ski. Uh yeah, we asked
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: the question about emotional cheating. It's turned into this. We're
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: all single on the show, so amongst us, we're trying
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: to figure out who would the ladies pick amongst the
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: guys on the show, and who would the guys pick
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: amongst the ladies. Now, Junior picked Monica, Tommy picked Carla,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: and Uh, I didn't really get picked. I think I
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: got picked by the fault. I was the only one left,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: so I guess you picked me. Thanks a lot. But
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: now now it's the girl's time. Yeah, Carla turn, I'm
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: going to regret saying this. Oh God, the turtle. No,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: you don't even like him, I know, So it won't
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: be long he has a break up. That all we do. Dude,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I love gonna say Junior, but he won't be But look,

- 1:07:40Speaker 1: a yeah, I think she lying. Yeah, we're gonna be
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: balling though, Why you think got lyned? Well? Because you
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: really pity me. No, he didn't pick me, he picked
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: all three of us. Yeah, no, no, no, see, you
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: ain't trying to be a mat What did you say
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: to me? How many likes ma body? Like your facial feature?
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: He's got that. She picked you. She called you a turtle.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: She said, I take the turtle. She didn't even say timing.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: She said turtle. Ever, tur But every woman understands that.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Though women understand that, because you have to like who
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: likes you, you gotta go with that sometimes. No, no,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I wouldn't have went with that turtle. Didn't you pick Monica?
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: And you said you hope she picked you? Didn't you
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: just yeah, yeah, it's the same thing in the room. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: surely I'm picking Steve. He's rich. I mean, come on, really, really, guys,

- 1:12:05Speaker 1: When the last time you actually been on the phone
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: arguing with somebody a bottom light be? What the last
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: time you did that? And ask him? How much is
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: he light be? And what is it? But where the pad?
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: You had to go down there? You don't know what

- 1:12:30Speaker 1: I want to hear this back when I was cutting
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: grass and turning point boy, when the last time you
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: stood out at a pump and pump gag you? Oh
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: that ain't bad. I actually did that about two years ago.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Two years ago. Yeah, I was driving my I was
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: taking my I got a Cadillac Man, an old car,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: and I was driving it and I looked down and
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: I was right at the gas station and it sputted
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: and I had never put gas in it. So I
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: whipped into the gas station right quick, and my car
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: ran out of gas at the gas pump. Wow, but
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: hit the problem in my head though, I said that
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: that at gas with a drop toop nineteen forty Cadillac,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: I'm sitting there and couldn't find the gas cap for
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: thirty minutes. I had to call the dude and work
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: for me and asking where is it? Then the gas
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: cap on the nineteen forty, it is under the tail light.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: You had to be laughing at Yeah. Man, you lift
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: up the tail like, this's horizontal. You lift up the
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: tail like, and the gas the gas cap is under
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: the tail like. How to hell would I know that?
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I got that thirty minute touching you had the trunk
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: open a caniment. You should see me with that, but
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: I had but I had to handle in my hand
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: just walking round a car. Wow. Wow. Nineteen eighty five.

- 1:19:15Speaker 1: and we'll have some closing remarks, Yes from the one
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey in forty nine minutes after the
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: hour right after this, you're listening to the Steven Show.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Last Break of the day. We've had a great morning today, Yes, yes,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: we did. We have fun today. Steve. It's time for
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: you now to take us home with your closing remarks.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: What you got for us today, Steve, want to get
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: us about sharing. Oh the things that I've learned along
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: the way. One of the things I think is very
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: important that we should talk about. We should talk about
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: blame and excuses. Um, blame and excuses, I'm telling you, man,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: they serve no purpose. Excuses for of all, are only
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: good for the person that's providing them. It does nothing
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: for the person who receives it. Have you ever had
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: somebody tell you a reason why they didn't do something
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: and you were counting on them to get it done
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: and they gave you an excuse as to why. Okay,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: here's somebody's supposed to pick you up in the car
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: pool for work. Now you didn't gave your car to
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: your spouse so they could go do what they want
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: to do. Now you're sitting there waiting on the car
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: pool to come pick you up. They don't pick you up.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Not a late man, I had a hard time getting
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: up this morning. Man, I'm glad but i'm here though.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Whoa man, that's an excuse? What do you mean you're late?
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: You had a hard time getting up. I'm sitting up
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: here waiting on you to pick me up and you
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: come forty five minutes late. Now I'm late for work.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: See that excuse? That does okay? For I was sit
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: this morning, I didn't fill up to it. That excuse
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: works wonderful for you, but the person receiving the excuse
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: gets nothing. You've I got to remove excuses from your
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: vocabulary and your walk in life. See, I don't really
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: accept excuses from anybody in my camp. If you're an employer,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: you work for me. I don't do excuses because I
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: don't give none. Today, for example, I'm not feeling real well.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: You know, my sign assistant kicked in. I'd had a
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: troublesome night last night. I'm not feeling well. But guess what,
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: I came to work on the radio today and I'll
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: do these two shows I got to do today because
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: I don't NBC. I heard they don't care up about
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: my excuses. People who are looking for me to wake
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: them up in the morning, give them a laugh, or
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: give them a thought starter. They're not looking for my excuses.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: They're just looking for the results. Excuses don't do me
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: no good. Now, it's some days all of us are
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: not up to part. We're not, but I'm not. I
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: don't care about the excuses. I don't accept excuses because
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: I don't give excuses. The other thing I removed from
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: my life is blame. And once you blame another person,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: man this is what happened with blame, blaming excuses. Listen
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: to me. Finger pointing does nothing. Because you've heard old saying,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: every time you point your finger in a person, you
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: notice that's three of them pointing back at you. Once
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: you're in the blame business and the excuse business, you
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: forfeit your chance for growth. I give you an example.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: If you're always talking about if somebody else's fault, and
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: you're always have an excuse why something didn't get done
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: or accomplished, guess what now you can't grow. You can't grow,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: You can't fix it because the reason why it didn't happen,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: or the reason why you didn't accomplish it is because
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: you blame someone else and you have an excuse. Once
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: you start accepting blame and excuses, you forfeit your chance
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: for growth. You kill any chance for change. Sometimes all
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: you have to do as a person is search within
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: yourself and find out what it is about you that
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: you could change that could start producing a better result.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: But if you always blaming somebody else and providing it
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: and accepting excuses from yourself and other people, guess what
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: you've done. You've killed your chance for change. Sometimes you
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: could be doing a whole lot better in life if
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: you would just change, If you would search yourself and
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: change something about you, you would be doing so much better.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: If you just search yourself, stop allowing excuses to be
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: a part of your makeup, and stop allowing blame to
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: be a part of it, and you would discover a
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: lot of this suggestion you it could be you another
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: the thing to blame an excuse it does. It allows
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: you to fail favorably. You know, man, you can just
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: get all right with failing. You can fail favorably because
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: it ain't my fault and I didn't do it because
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: it was cold outside. So ta you allow yourself to
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: fail favorably. That's an ugly spot to be in. But
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: blaming excuses allows you to fail favorably, like it's okay
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: to fail because it ain't my fault because I have
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: an excuse. And if they fault, blaming excuses, man's a
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: very very dangerous thing out there. Also, Blaming excuses promotes
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: a climate of failure. It just premeates man throughout your
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: life and next thing, you know, you ain't accomplishing nothing.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Because if blaming, blaming excuses are part of your makeup,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: you now have promoted a climate for failure. It's okay,
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: It's okay, because I have a reason why you didn't
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: finish school, because because it was too cold to go.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Why you didn't finish school because that test was too hard.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: I didn't study them two pages. I thought they said
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: the first chapter. She questions us on the first three chapters.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: I didn't hear that that's the only reason I failed.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: And you get all right with it. When you're no
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: longer the reason why something happens, you no longer have
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: control over what happens. Let me say that to you
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: one more time. When you're no longer the reason why
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: something happens, you ain't. You ain't you're you ain't gonna
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: take responsibility. You're not the reason. Stop allowing blame and
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: excuses to enter into your makeup. They served nobody any good,
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: especially you. Those are my closes. Men more all right, now,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: good day, have yourself, a good week, better you, better
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: for all. Steve Harvey contests no purchase necessary void where
