- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time. Y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a suit looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like theming buck bus things and it's not good.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve Hartley, I don't join jo. You gotta use that
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn hur You gotta turn to turn them out. Got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out, to turn turn the water the water.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Ya come, come on your thing, I show well, good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice. Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and all is Steve Harvey got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show particular me this morning. Steve Harvey got
- 2:16Speaker 1: a radio show. Feel with nothing but joy and hope
- 2:20Speaker 1: about it too. You know, it's a great thing to
- 2:23Speaker 1: be able to wake up in the morning with peace
- 2:25Speaker 1: in your heart and joy. Peace and joy is is immeasurable.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It has a value attached to it, and I have
- 2:33Speaker 1: no idea what it is. It's invaluable. It is worth
- 2:37Speaker 1: so much more than any amount of money you can make.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Peace and joy. I have not always had that. I
- 2:46Speaker 1: have not always been a peaceful person or a person
- 2:50Speaker 1: who lived his life in a joy spirit. It took
- 2:54Speaker 1: an arrival at this moment. Some people arrive sooner than others.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I wish I had arrived at this point sooner, but
- 3:04Speaker 1: I think it was necessary for me to learn a
- 3:06Speaker 1: few things too. That's the amazing thing I've learned about
- 3:10Speaker 1: life is that instead of reflecting on your past incidences
- 3:17Speaker 1: and calling them failures, instead of focusing on the negative
- 3:21Speaker 1: and calling them bad times, I look at them now
- 3:27Speaker 1: as experiences. I had to have those experiences that were negative,
- 3:32Speaker 1: that were good, positive, wrong, even I had to have
- 3:37Speaker 1: all those experiences to become to shape who we are today.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We all have to have them. If you look back
- 3:47Speaker 1: at all the negative experiences you've had, all the things
- 3:51Speaker 1: that you called failures, all the businesses I started that
- 3:55Speaker 1: went under, all of the jobs I had that I
- 3:57Speaker 1: was fired from, all the shows that were canceled, all
- 4:02Speaker 1: of the times I thought I was gonna get something
- 4:05Speaker 1: happened in my way and turned out I didn't get
- 4:07Speaker 1: it at all. When you look at all of it,
- 4:10Speaker 1: all of it, hopefully along the way, what you have
- 4:13Speaker 1: done as a person is you've taken those negatives and
- 4:17Speaker 1: those failures and you've used them for what they actually are.
- 4:21Speaker 1: They are experiences, and they've now created in you an
- 4:26Speaker 1: experienced person, and you know that is worth something. That's
- 4:33Speaker 1: then it becomes a positive. But what too many people
- 4:37Speaker 1: do is they let the negative things that have happened
- 4:40Speaker 1: in their life. They allow the failures that have happened
- 4:43Speaker 1: in them lives never to manifest themselves as experiences. And
- 4:48Speaker 1: you sit up there and you dwell on it, and
- 4:50Speaker 1: you dwell on it until you have this woe is
- 4:53Speaker 1: me attitude. Stop looking at it like that, y'all. You
- 4:57Speaker 1: go through things in order to become the person that
- 5:00Speaker 1: you are today. I'll tell you who you sometimes have
- 5:03Speaker 1: to sit down and talk to. Sometimes you ought to
- 5:05Speaker 1: sit down to an inmate that really gets it. An
- 5:09Speaker 1: inmate that says, man, I've actually heard inmates say it
- 5:13Speaker 1: to me and write to me, and they've said things like, man,
- 5:17Speaker 1: coming to prison, save my life. Now those of you
- 5:20Speaker 1: have never gone, how can he say a thing like that?
- 5:22Speaker 1: But some men, no, Man, I was so far out
- 5:26Speaker 1: there that if I'd have stayed out there, I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 1: even be here today. This actually allowed me to stop,
- 5:31Speaker 1: spend some time with myself and learn some things about me.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Now does that happen for everybody like that? Now? But
- 5:38Speaker 1: here's a person who was taking an experience that could
- 5:41Speaker 1: be considered a failure or a negative and turning it
- 5:44Speaker 1: into a positive and using it to enrich their lives.
- 5:47Speaker 1: You can do it no matter what your set of
- 5:49Speaker 1: circumstances is. I recommend to everybody that you try changing
- 5:54Speaker 1: your outlook in order to change your outcome. Everything that
- 5:58Speaker 1: happens to you that's negative or you could said a
- 6:00Speaker 1: failure their experiences. You've got to go through these things
- 6:03Speaker 1: in order to have the knowledge that you have today.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So I wish that I had come to this arrival,
- 6:09Speaker 1: that I may now this place of peace and joy.
- 6:12Speaker 1: But then guess what I would not know what I know.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I could not share some of the things that I'm
- 6:18Speaker 1: able to share if I had not gone through some
- 6:20Speaker 1: of them. And sometimes that's the purpose of them, is
- 6:23Speaker 1: to teach you a lesson because you know, God has
- 6:25Speaker 1: a plan for you, He really really does. And eventually
- 6:29Speaker 1: he can use you no matter how old you are,
- 6:32Speaker 1: and he can use you no matter how young you are.
- 6:34Speaker 1: If you just say, Okay, I'm ready to hear your plan.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I've tried mine, mine ain't worked out. What's your plan
- 6:41Speaker 1: for me? God, what do you want me to do?
- 6:44Speaker 1: That's why I say every day Steve Harvey got radio show, y'all,
- 6:48Speaker 1: because Man, I ain't see it coming. I didn't see
- 6:51Speaker 1: that coming. I ain't see this book coming. I ain't
- 6:53Speaker 1: seen I ain't seen it. Half of the amazing things
- 6:55Speaker 1: that are happened to me, I didn't plan them. I
- 6:58Speaker 1: was sitting there, man, asking God for some direction. And
- 7:03Speaker 1: then I got smart enough to stay watchful, be a
- 7:06Speaker 1: hard worker. Now because faithful, our works is there and
- 7:09Speaker 1: it came. And I'll remind you of this. God has
- 7:11Speaker 1: given all of you a gift. Every last one of
- 7:14Speaker 1: you listening has a gift. God has never created a
- 7:17Speaker 1: soul that he did not provide a gift to. God
- 7:20Speaker 1: gives everyone a gift, and a gift is not just singing,
- 7:24Speaker 1: rapping entertainment. The richer gifts are much more than that.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Teachers are gifted people who really have the gift of
- 7:32Speaker 1: sharing information. That's a gift, you know, and in that
- 7:37Speaker 1: you can become great. You know a lot of people
- 7:43Speaker 1: people think that successful and greatness is the same thing.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Cornell West said it at my daughter's graduation. He was
- 7:50Speaker 1: a spokesperson. He said something so pointed. He said, don't
- 7:53Speaker 1: ever confuse success with greatness. The two have nothing to
- 7:58Speaker 1: do with each other. See, people determine success about money
- 8:01Speaker 1: and fame and all this here, but greatness. Greatness ain't
- 8:05Speaker 1: got nothing to do with your money. It ain't got
- 8:07Speaker 1: nothing to do with your fame. It's how you conduct
- 8:10Speaker 1: your life. It's how meaningful and significant you become in
- 8:14Speaker 1: your community, at your church, on your job, to the
- 8:18Speaker 1: club scout unit that you run, to the little girls
- 8:21Speaker 1: lives that you change, that that little center in the hood.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Who are you just one place of hope to so
- 8:27Speaker 1: many people and they come back. And I used the
- 8:29Speaker 1: example of Lou Danzler who passed away in La who
- 8:32Speaker 1: had the Boys and Girls Challenges Club out in La.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And he wasn't a rich man at all, and if
- 8:38Speaker 1: you walk by him, you wouldn't even know who he was.
- 8:40Speaker 1: But if you look at all the people who have
- 8:42Speaker 1: gone on to become politicians, who have gone on to
- 8:45Speaker 1: become CEO's, who have gone on to become athletes, that
- 8:49Speaker 1: have passed through this man's small building in the hood
- 8:52Speaker 1: in La, he was a great. Trust me man prad
- 8:57Speaker 1: changes things, I said all time. But when you see
- 9:00Speaker 1: will become successful or great, that somebody praying somewhere may
- 9:03Speaker 1: not even beat them. Maybe it's day mama. You know,
- 9:06Speaker 1: I think of Tiger Woods and all the greatness he's accomplished.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You know they always talk about as farther than all
- 9:12Speaker 1: this here, somebody somewhere praying for Tiger Woods. I got
- 9:16Speaker 1: cash money riding on that Tiger Woods. Mama is a
- 9:19Speaker 1: praying woman or something. My mother was. She prayed me
- 9:22Speaker 1: into this place because she should call me all the time.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Praying for your boy, and prayer changes things. It really does.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Try it today. It can change you. It has changed
- 9:33Speaker 1: millions of people. Open up yourself to the greatness that's
- 9:36Speaker 1: in you, because God is giving you a gift, not
- 9:39Speaker 1: the fact that you ain't using it. Who fought you
- 9:41Speaker 1: think that is? I'm just telling you you got one,
- 9:45Speaker 1: and if you start praying about it, it'll manifest itself
- 9:49Speaker 1: and you can become one or two things, successful or
- 9:52Speaker 1: great or both. You can make the decision. Today the
- 10:00Speaker 1: morning show. Everybody, now have your attention because it's about
- 10:09Speaker 1: to go down, all the way down. I'm all the help.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Now it's about to go down, but I'm all the help.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Why does it sound like a gospel song when you
- 10:23Speaker 1: sing a gospel leader? I'm all away all the rough side.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Charlie Strawberry, Hey, good morning, Preacher Steve Harvey. Yeah, that
- 10:46Speaker 1: ain't my calling. My calling has been to do the
- 10:49Speaker 1: Lord's work, but not not in the pool pit. It's
- 10:53Speaker 1: too dangerous up there for me. I'm not gonna be
- 10:56Speaker 1: able to uphold the standards of pool pit isn't okay?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Is a caller for real? Good morning? I love that adverb.
- 11:06Speaker 1: You made a pool It's it's a poor pit etiquette.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be able to maintain. As soon as
- 11:13Speaker 1: you say something I don't like. Now, I'm gonna have
- 11:15Speaker 1: to say something you ann like. M h and uh.
- 11:18Speaker 1: You know, we'll work on the forgiveness later. Ladies and gentlemen, Junior,
- 11:24Speaker 1: best level one Christian I know and have no interest
- 11:32Speaker 1: in advanced Christianity. Well, you've certainly leveled up since we
- 11:36Speaker 1: first met twenty years ago, sir. Oh phrase him Carler,
- 11:49Speaker 1: nephew Tommy in the building. Carler I used to come
- 11:53Speaker 1: in because we were doing radio. He did a small
- 11:57Speaker 1: syndicated version. We did Dallas Ann La. So we did
- 12:02Speaker 1: two hours live at four a m. From LA, and
- 12:08Speaker 1: so we did six hours of radio a day. And
- 12:11Speaker 1: so we would stop at six o'clock and go live
- 12:14Speaker 1: to La after two hours of live in Dallas. Uh huh,
- 12:19Speaker 1: I was staying up all night, coming staying up. You
- 12:24Speaker 1: were scared you go over sleep? Yeah, I was sleep
- 12:28Speaker 1: I was upsenting wa wa yeah. It was the w Dog.
- 12:40Speaker 1: It was the l Ray that Wednesday night at the
- 12:44Speaker 1: l Ray, I would lead a l ray, make one stop,
- 12:48Speaker 1: then come to work. Sure to be one day. And
- 12:51Speaker 1: she said, Steve, what is all that glitter on? It
- 13:00Speaker 1: was so wild back in those days, so wild back
- 13:04Speaker 1: in those days. I asked so much glitter on me.
- 13:08Speaker 1: It was only for three days. I couldn't shower at
- 13:12Speaker 1: glitter all I had hell annam mustache. It was I
- 13:19Speaker 1: can't see that. I can't see you like that man.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Praise God that he is gone. I think the my
- 13:27Speaker 1: heavily father that he is no longer. Oh boy, oh
- 13:34Speaker 1: we were wilding. Okay, all right, coming up at thirty
- 13:38Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour. It is Wednesday, So sister

- 14:52Speaker 1: everybody doing this? My winding wonderful, beautiful beautiful? Well let's
- 14:59Speaker 1: get started. What y'all talking about? Well, um, we were
- 15:03Speaker 1: kind of talking about off air, like Fourth of July.
- 15:06Speaker 1: You know it's coming up this weekend barbecue plans. We
- 15:11Speaker 1: don't celebrate the fourth in our family, not at all.
- 15:17Speaker 1: I mean we Bobbie Q. But you bet not hang
- 15:19Speaker 1: a flag on the front of this house. You're looking
- 15:23Speaker 1: for the Jude teenth color flare. Now we're gonna have
- 15:27Speaker 1: a celebration, but we missed that. But you hang a red, white,
- 15:32Speaker 1: and blue and the stars up there that ain't never
- 15:34Speaker 1: represented all us, it's gonna be a problem. Nobody on
- 15:37Speaker 1: our street waves of flag, well excepted one. It's a
- 15:41Speaker 1: white family up the street. They pushed their flag out,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but some black kids are told them if they put
- 15:47Speaker 1: it up this year, you won't have a porch, just
- 15:53Speaker 1: direct So I don't really think they're gonna hang it
- 15:56Speaker 1: up this year. Yeah, well, well we'll just move on
- 16:00Speaker 1: from that. Um, I wasn't gonna ask you. Well, they
- 16:02Speaker 1: had a they had a Trump sign up in front
- 16:05Speaker 1: of their house, and then the black kid went out
- 16:08Speaker 1: in took the whole yard out yard. So it's this
- 16:13Speaker 1: house in the streets. They just walked and they just
- 16:16Speaker 1: seeming everything. You little drive another steak in the cloud
- 16:21Speaker 1: out here. The Black Lives Matter kids are different. Yeah.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And then they took all the WiFi off their house
- 16:30Speaker 1: and took the Netflix from him, and they want of
- 16:34Speaker 1: the kids learned how to get their Netflix. And now
- 16:37Speaker 1: that they run their own Netflix, I don't know why
- 16:41Speaker 1: they still living Hill. You're not gonna run them out.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I heard the Black Lives Matter kid tell the wife
- 16:49Speaker 1: found the Trump come back, were coming back? I said
- 16:57Speaker 1: what I said, Yes, I mean what I mean. All right, Um, okay,

- 17:18Speaker 1: would never stay there. Okay, all right? Cool? Um, you
- 17:23Speaker 1: know Tommy's gonna be filming the next two seasons of
- 17:26Speaker 1: his show from DC. Ready to Love. Really, yes, ma'am,
- 17:30Speaker 1: congratulations on that Timas. That's really good of you, you know.

- 17:40Speaker 1: little board at last. What's his name, Christopher? Yes it
- 17:47Speaker 1: is Chris Kate Kate Kate kg yes, yeah, Now he
- 17:50Speaker 1: really just really needs to stop. You know, Oh what
- 17:54Speaker 1: is he lying about? You think it's the thing about
- 18:00Speaker 1: what are they talking about? Seeming retention? Yes, you have
- 18:03Speaker 1: to watch the show ready to lie? You don't believe
- 18:08Speaker 1: that time from More Style, I think he coined that phrase.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yea coin did and ain't worth a coin? Sister, I
- 18:19Speaker 1: tell would you pay on the dating show? Yeah? Well,
- 18:22Speaker 1: you know, I was thinking about it because online dating
- 18:25Speaker 1: is big now. But I don't you know, people's my
- 18:27Speaker 1: age don't know if we didn't know how to log in,
- 18:29Speaker 1: you know, Well that's when you get a young person
- 18:34Speaker 1: to just come in and do all that stuff for you. Sister. Yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 1: but you gotta have people on that that's you know
- 18:40Speaker 1: that you got interest with, you know, and who is
- 18:43Speaker 1: on that? You know? I was on our time, you know,

- 19:14Speaker 1: a help. See, you don't see nobody pushing me. See,
- 19:17Speaker 1: because I care myself health wise. You know, I get
- 19:23Speaker 1: you know, I do a dtox once a month. You know,
- 19:26Speaker 1: I call it the Christian dtox. Okay, A yeah, I
- 19:30Speaker 1: just do. I just do communion every day, four times
- 19:34Speaker 1: a day. I just do wine and crackles. Just man.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I called it a Christian d talk. Yes, okay, all right,
- 19:42Speaker 1: And it's because you look great, but it keeps you young.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And you know, you don't know you're hungry because I
- 19:48Speaker 1: don't just do a communion cup of wine. I do
- 19:50Speaker 1: you know, I do two glasses and a pack of
- 19:54Speaker 1: saut tunes. Yeah, it's Christian appetizers. Who's called the Christian dtox?
- 20:04Speaker 1: The Christian man, Get you one long stack of salt
- 20:12Speaker 1: Team's premium, uh huh, and get your two glasses of wine.
- 20:17Speaker 1: It's a wonderful thing. It brings me a lot closer spiritually,
- 20:20Speaker 1: you know. Oh I like hearing that so you're gonna
- 20:23Speaker 1: be at your sister's house. You're saying, yeah, I'm gonna
- 20:26Speaker 1: go to my sister's house. You know she does something
- 20:29Speaker 1: every year with just the older women. We has a
- 20:33Speaker 1: bunch of male strippers coming in on Friday. Nothing. Oh

- 20:41Speaker 1: know it is. I hate to cut you off, sister Odell.

- 21:54Speaker 1: right yeah, okay, Now her name, her name is Dereka.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Why you need to know that? Okay, Well, it's something
- 22:01Speaker 1: wrong or something No, no, no, nothing wrong. I mean
- 22:04Speaker 1: I don't mean to alarm you're nothing like that. But
- 22:06Speaker 1: let me see what you're calling me. Well, here's the situation.
- 22:10Speaker 1: My daughter actually goes to middle school along along with
- 22:15Speaker 1: with your daughter. Okay, and and it's it's a bit
- 22:19Speaker 1: of a problem that that that has arisen that me
- 22:21Speaker 1: and my wife just found out about. Okay, some issues
- 22:24Speaker 1: Derek and your baby in in some kind of like
- 22:27Speaker 1: trouble or something. No no, no, no, no, nothing like that.

- 22:34Speaker 1: She don't mess with nobody. She owned the honor roll
- 22:36Speaker 1: and everything. I don't have no problems out of Dereka,
- 22:39Speaker 1: right like none. Okay, I no, call me, let me know,
- 22:43Speaker 1: let me tell you miss miss Patricia. What's the problem is, See,
- 22:46Speaker 1: my daughter name is Dereka. Okay, so, and and it
- 22:52Speaker 1: just blew me and my wife away that it was
- 22:54Speaker 1: another Dereca that went to school. Okay, all right, I
- 22:58Speaker 1: don't know too many Derecas. That's the nickname that okay,
- 23:02Speaker 1: right right, Well, here's the problem me and my wife. Actually,
- 23:06Speaker 1: you know, when it was time to name my child,
- 23:08Speaker 1: we thought we was really picking a name that nobody
- 23:11Speaker 1: would have a chick out for their daughter. And to
- 23:14Speaker 1: have another Dereca in the school that blew us away.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And I guess the real reason why I'm trying to
- 23:19Speaker 1: call you, miss Patricians. See if if, if there's something
- 23:22Speaker 1: maybe we can work out, you know, maybe uh like
- 23:26Speaker 1: your Dereka does middle name or nickname she can be
- 23:30Speaker 1: called by in opposed to both of them being Derek.
- 23:34Speaker 1: You really want our child to be the only one
- 23:36Speaker 1: with this name? Okay? Wait wait wait, wait, now you
- 23:40Speaker 1: calling me and you asking me to change my baby's name. Well,
- 23:44Speaker 1: I mean you you ain't really got to legally change
- 23:46Speaker 1: I mean, but just start calling us something else, you know. No, no,
- 23:49Speaker 1: wait a minute, so what you naming police or something?
- 23:53Speaker 1: Do you know how many and Louis and Patricia's out there.
- 23:57Speaker 1: What if at everybody in the United States change a
- 24:00Speaker 1: name from Patricia. You're not crazy, that is, and I
- 24:03Speaker 1: understand that you must be on drugs. Not. What I'm
- 24:06Speaker 1: trying to say is you know this, this is something
- 24:08Speaker 1: that we really have. Our baby girl was this name
- 24:11Speaker 1: and we didn't want nobody else to have this. So
- 24:13Speaker 1: does your Dereka have a middle name? She can you? No,
- 24:16Speaker 1: we're gonna call her Dereka like we've been calling your name,
- 24:19Speaker 1: your baby d D. Let's call your baby d D.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Did you change y'all? Y'all change y'all baby name at
- 24:24Speaker 1: the school. I'm not calling I'm not calling my only name.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I don't give me what you call it, but I'm
- 24:29Speaker 1: not changing my baby name. Hey, listen, Okay, Look, I'm
- 24:32Speaker 1: trying to call you and handle us like adults, you know,
- 24:35Speaker 1: but you've seen to see you're gonna push my funt
- 24:36Speaker 1: to take me to another level. Obviously, you ain't calling
- 24:39Speaker 1: me trying to handle us. It doesn't ask me to
- 24:41Speaker 1: change my baby name, call my baby something else at
- 24:44Speaker 1: the school because y'all want your baby name to be
- 24:46Speaker 1: Derek and the only Dereka in the school. Hey, you
- 24:48Speaker 1: know how many other kids at the damn school got
- 24:50Speaker 1: the same name. I understand that, but from my baby girl,
- 24:54Speaker 1: it ain't schools to be like that. I'm sorry. I'm
- 24:57Speaker 1: sorry to good baby girl and your wife, but you
- 25:00Speaker 1: know I'm got changing my bear of the damn name.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Now call your baby. Do you know what I'm trying
- 25:05Speaker 1: to do is get it rectified that we can call you?
- 25:09Speaker 1: Get my phone number. I'm not a school. Ain't good
- 25:11Speaker 1: of you my number? I got your numb Don't worry
- 25:14Speaker 1: about how I got it. The problem is that what
- 25:16Speaker 1: we're talking about right now. If call we what can
- 25:18Speaker 1: we start calling your Childibber? I know that school ain't
- 25:22Speaker 1: called you my damn number. Listen, man, all I'm trying
- 25:25Speaker 1: to do is think out what can we start calling
- 25:27Speaker 1: your daughter? Danner cut less she's been doing? Call you
- 25:31Speaker 1: and you're right down to the statistics office and gets
- 25:35Speaker 1: all they of the name? I kind you sum out
- 25:37Speaker 1: the kind of name beha, but more day to keep
- 25:40Speaker 1: the same damn name. Let me explain something of you.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I've been trying to be calm with you. Nor shall
- 25:45Speaker 1: put if you are firing something else to call on
- 25:47Speaker 1: and I'm gonna go. I'm gonna get all the kids number.
- 25:50Speaker 1: How do you get my number? Don't worry about how
- 25:53Speaker 1: I got the number. Listen to what I'm trying to
- 25:55Speaker 1: tell you. If you don't find another name, I'm gonna
- 25:57Speaker 1: start getting the kids to call your daughter something. Melse.
- 26:00Speaker 1: You justing to call my buddy stidding. I I'm with
- 26:03Speaker 1: an everybody who called my buddy stop. Next, you're trying
- 26:07Speaker 1: to change your baby names. I want my baby name
- 26:09Speaker 1: to beat the Dereka John get him. It's true. My
- 26:15Speaker 1: princess is supposed to be the only one named Dereka.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Had a chain calling your baby stopping else at the school.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I'm going out of these kids starting tomorrow at school
- 26:25Speaker 1: calling your daughter. I'm going else. I'm not staying. I'm
- 26:27Speaker 1: just starting with you like this number. Hang him off
- 26:29Speaker 1: my phone and don't come on my right nor let
- 26:31Speaker 1: me tell you something. I got one more thing I
- 26:33Speaker 1: need to say to you. You listen to me? What
- 26:36Speaker 1: are you listening to me? I'm listening to you. What
- 26:40Speaker 1: this is? Nephew Tommy from the Steve Hobby Morning Show.
- 26:43Speaker 1: You just got pranked by your girlfriend. Good I would
- 26:53Speaker 1: get her. Wait, oh, that little Oh yeah, girl, ain't
- 26:58Speaker 1: ain't you brak me on this? I'm so sorry. Solid Yes,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna give her that is. Oh, I'm so sorry.
- 27:13Speaker 1: But you got my nerves bad this morning. Lord have mercy. Lord,
- 27:17Speaker 1: I gotta kiss my breath. I got one more thing.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I gotta ask you, darling, what is What is the
- 27:22Speaker 1: baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in the land,
- 27:25Speaker 1: Steve Hart, The Morning Show. I listen to y'all every morning, crazy,
- 27:32Speaker 1: y'all crazy, and not have mercy. Y'all got my blood
- 27:35Speaker 1: pressure this, but I love y'all. I listen to y'all
- 27:37Speaker 1: show every morning. I'd be stupid, man, Can I can? I?
- 27:46Speaker 1: Can I share something? What you don't tell me? True? Sir?
- 27:49Speaker 1: Like after every print, you really don't have to say
- 27:53Speaker 1: you be stupid. I didn't want people to get confused nothing.
- 27:56Speaker 1: You know. Do you think somebody thank you smart? I
- 28:02Speaker 1: think I'm intelligent to a lot of people. Name okay,
- 28:07Speaker 1: the girls outside of your immediate family. Tell me who
- 28:10Speaker 1: you think thanks you? And tell girls on this show
- 28:13Speaker 1: they think, all right, well, let's just gonna take a survey. Shirley,
- 28:15Speaker 1: do you think he's never said that? I don't what.
- 28:21Speaker 1: This is new to me? What what? What? What? Girls
- 28:25Speaker 1: are you talking about? Okay, well, that's true, as Monica.
- 28:30Speaker 1: I mean, I'm intelligent to some of these people on
- 28:32Speaker 1: this show. Now, Mississippi Monica refuses to answer. I'll tell
- 28:38Speaker 1: you what. Let's ask junior. Junior to hell? Now what what? What?
- 28:45Speaker 1: Somebody asked me, Hey, Steve, do you think Temmy's intelligence? Well,
- 28:50Speaker 1: look at the you never heard him say anything intelligence.
- 28:57Speaker 1: All right, I'm thinking of you coming up at the
- 29:02Speaker 1: top of the yar. We'll have some entertainment in National
- 29:04Speaker 1: News right after this. You're listening. Well. Now that Cardie
- 29:11Speaker 1: B has revealed her pregnancy, she is also opening up
- 29:15Speaker 1: about her marriage and her family. She had an epic
- 29:19Speaker 1: maternity shoot and shared a couple of shots in the process,
- 29:22Speaker 1: and one Cardie is tastefully nude with offset draped around
- 29:26Speaker 1: her from the back, saying, we listen to each other, communicated, prayed,
- 29:30Speaker 1: and then God blessed us and our family with another
- 29:34Speaker 1: little blessing. That's what she said in the caption. And
- 29:37Speaker 1: then she said, our home feels so blissful and very busy,
- 29:41Speaker 1: but we are ready and oh happy. I like that.
- 29:45Speaker 1: That's sweet. That's sweet. Yeah, you know, growing up. She
- 29:49Speaker 1: did the reveal on the BT Awards. I saw a
- 29:53Speaker 1: lot of people on social media just trolling hers, saying
- 29:57Speaker 1: having a baby from him again, a young cheater. And
- 30:02Speaker 1: I'm like, if she's working it out with her husband
- 30:05Speaker 1: and they are together and she forgives them and their family,
- 30:09Speaker 1: just let them live, y'all. Yes, he said, we communicated
- 30:13Speaker 1: and prayed. Okay, people grow, they grow in relationship. The
- 30:18Speaker 1: trolls act like they ain't got problems that they own. Yeah, problems, true, Yeah,
- 30:26Speaker 1: because trolls don't have no life. You can't be that
- 30:32Speaker 1: concerned with somebody else and taking care of yours at
- 30:36Speaker 1: the same time. That's not possible. I don't know if
- 30:39Speaker 1: it's gonna go away anytime soon, because it seems like
- 30:42Speaker 1: it's getting worse. Trolling, the trolling. Yeah, yeah, no, no,
- 30:47Speaker 1: it's definitely not gonna go away. But you don't have
- 30:50Speaker 1: to be affected by it. They have no power over you, exactly,
- 30:56Speaker 1: unless you don't give them power. Who are there. They're
- 31:01Speaker 1: not shakers and movers, they're not powerbrokers, and they're not
- 31:04Speaker 1: decision makers. They ain't in none of the meetings at
- 31:07Speaker 1: your job. They ain't down at the bank. They not
- 31:15Speaker 1: in know that they're not in you and your family
- 31:18Speaker 1: discussions unless you drag them in. That's true, because you
- 31:23Speaker 1: know what I do. Half the time, you know, somebody
- 31:25Speaker 1: had to tell me something about me because I don't.
- 31:28Speaker 1: I don't know what you mean. I mean, you know,
- 31:31Speaker 1: somebody to go man, hey, man, you hear what they
- 31:34Speaker 1: said about you. That's almost ninety nine point nine percent
- 31:39Speaker 1: of the time to get ball to me because I
- 31:41Speaker 1: don't after I'm not sitting on nothing. I'm not googling me.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not googling you. I ain't got no
- 31:49Speaker 1: search for what you're doing. You know, y'all tell me
- 31:52Speaker 1: something about somebody, say hey, send me a picture please,
- 31:55Speaker 1: And and y'all keep me informing about what's happening. If
- 31:58Speaker 1: it's not on seeing in and headline news, I don't
- 32:03Speaker 1: know none about it. And if I don't know what
- 32:13Speaker 1: take all right. Another entertainment news Contrary to popular belief,
- 32:20Speaker 1: Andrew Day is not dating Brad Pitt. In fact, she
- 32:27Speaker 1: doesn't even know him. She says, Andrew Day, Yeah, you know.
- 32:31Speaker 1: She was an Oscar nominee for her role as Billy
- 32:33Speaker 1: Holiday in the US versus Billy Holiday was asked about
- 32:37Speaker 1: their rumored romance on the red carpet at the Beet Awards.
- 32:42Speaker 1: After her strong denial, she added, it's hilarious. It was
- 32:45Speaker 1: thin air. Somebody was bored that day. All that being said,
- 32:48Speaker 1: she had nothing bad to say about Brad. He's great,
- 32:51Speaker 1: super talented and wonderful. All right, sleep better enough, you
- 32:56Speaker 1: were losing sleep. All right, we'll talk about the golf
- 33:01Speaker 1: tournament that Harvey. Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp, Okay,
- 33:09Speaker 1: thank you very much. Good morning everyone. I get to
- 33:12Speaker 1: the seriousness in Miami. Yesterday, more bad news about that
- 33:15Speaker 1: collass beach front condo building, delivered by Miami Dade County
- 33:19Speaker 1: Mayor Danielle Levin Kylie. One additional victim was recovered, so
- 33:24Speaker 1: the number of deceased is now at twelve. Mayor Levine
- 33:28Speaker 1: Cava says she would support a grand jury investigation to
- 33:31Speaker 1: all this. A letter day to April ninth on the
- 33:33Speaker 1: building's condo board to the residents describes deteriorating concrete pillars
- 33:37Speaker 1: and foundations for the building that had gotten worse since
- 33:41Speaker 1: twenty eighteen, and now three lawsuits had been filed. The
- 33:45Speaker 1: latest accusing the Condo Association of reckless and negligent conduct,
- 33:49Speaker 1: and yesterday's briefing, Surf Side residents also ask for additional
- 33:53Speaker 1: search and rescue help from the Feds. The White House
- 33:56Speaker 1: says that the President and the First Lady are scheduled
- 33:58Speaker 1: to arrive in Surfside to marl to see the damage
- 34:01Speaker 1: for themselves and to visit with the victims, families and
- 34:04Speaker 1: first responders. George Floyd's murderer, former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin,
- 34:09Speaker 1: reportedly close to working out a plea deal with federal
- 34:12Speaker 1: prosecutors about the civil rights charges he's gonna face. Officials
- 34:16Speaker 1: say the deal would involve Chauvin admitting a court in
- 34:19Speaker 1: front of everybody why he killed George Floyd, in exchange
- 34:21Speaker 1: for a twenty five year term to be served concurrently,
- 34:25Speaker 1: not consecutively with his twenty two and a half sentence
- 34:28Speaker 1: for murder, served in a federal also and not a
- 34:30Speaker 1: state prison. Get this. Donald Trump says that former NFL
- 34:34Speaker 1: player Herschel Walker remember Him, has told him. According to Donald,
- 34:38Speaker 1: that he plans to run for the US Senate seat
- 34:41Speaker 1: one last year by the Reverend Raphael Warnock in Georgia,
- 34:44Speaker 1: Essentially putting it back in Republican hands. The US Senate.
- 34:47Speaker 1: If herschel Walker decides to run, he would be the
- 34:50Speaker 1: presumed front runner, given his name, recognition, and endorsement by
- 34:53Speaker 1: Donald Trump for the Republicans. Anyway, again, herschel Walker may
- 34:56Speaker 1: be running to put the US Senate back in Republican hands.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Fox News has been slapped with a one million dollar
- 35:03Speaker 1: fine by the New York City Commission on Human Rights,
- 35:06Speaker 1: the largest penalty ever levied by that commission in its history,
- 35:09Speaker 1: because it says Fox violated laws against sexual harrassment and
- 35:12Speaker 1: job retaliation. Oh, here's one to crowded. You have talking
- 35:20Speaker 1: about the expressway right, really really crowded. Well, guess what.
- 35:23Speaker 1: For the first time in nearly thirty years, Los Angeles
- 35:26Speaker 1: has lost to its title as the most traffic congested
- 35:30Speaker 1: region in the country. New York Area now tops the list,
- 35:33Speaker 1: where the Transportation Institute says, motorists in New York City
- 35:36Speaker 1: in that area, on average, anyway, spend a collective four
- 35:40Speaker 1: hundred and ninety four thousand hours stuck in traffic last year.
- 35:45Speaker 1: That's a lot of traffic. Now back to the Steve
- 35:46Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the string show. All right,
- 35:51Speaker 1: So Steve, you had your golf tournament yesterday. You're having
- 35:55Speaker 1: another round today, so tell us about it. Give us
- 35:58Speaker 1: a recap double tournament. That's I mean, bro, I had
- 36:02Speaker 1: to add a day because today loaded up so fast
- 36:06Speaker 1: that so many people wanted to play that I went
- 36:08Speaker 1: on and I added eighty players yesterday. So you know,
- 36:12Speaker 1: Chris Tucker came through yesterday, Vernon Maxwell Vernon to play
- 36:20Speaker 1: for Houston. My dude, man, we had a great conversation.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Lawrence Taylor, the greatest linebacker to ever play in the
- 36:31Speaker 1: National Football League. Matumbo not in my house. Yeah he
- 36:39Speaker 1: was there. We all took a picture together. And you
- 36:41Speaker 1: don't tell you something, man, I don't can high street.
- 36:44Speaker 1: You stand up. You have to put your hand around
- 36:48Speaker 1: uh Matumbo's ass. He's that talk, I'm talking. He had
- 36:56Speaker 1: his all around the top of my head. He was
- 36:58Speaker 1: holding the top of my head and all I could
- 37:01Speaker 1: do was hold his ass. I was very uncomfortable. I
- 37:04Speaker 1: don't like when a man had me under their breast
- 37:06Speaker 1: and pull me in. You know, don't don't don't push
- 37:10Speaker 1: my head under your nipple. Dog dog. I'm who the
- 37:13Speaker 1: short person is. Nah, I guess where you do. Yeah. Yeah,
- 37:22Speaker 1: I was up under his chip, up under his nipple.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Let's let me tell you where you would have been
- 37:33Speaker 1: about well, I think about about like third te feet talk. Yeah,
- 37:40Speaker 1: he felt like, man, such a cool dude. Man, he
- 37:43Speaker 1: was funny though. Here. So we're doing some great gifts
- 37:46Speaker 1: and stuff and h I did not I did not
- 37:49Speaker 1: give my shoes. I said, what what? What? What side
- 37:53Speaker 1: you got twenty two? I said, just do dog, We're
- 37:57Speaker 1: gonna take two elevens together and you wear that. I
- 38:02Speaker 1: don't know nobody gotten on twenty two. I looked down
- 38:04Speaker 1: at his foot and no one Jesus twenty two? What Man?
- 38:09Speaker 1: One of the coolest dudes though. Man, when I tell
- 38:12Speaker 1: you he's a cool dude. Yeah, I love his commercial.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, the guy yeah congratulates, was spare and cool.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Everybody everybody was good. You know, those are most of
- 38:24Speaker 1: the celebrities. I was and the rest of them is like,
- 38:27Speaker 1: you know, brothers from one hundred black men. So what
- 38:30Speaker 1: we agreed to do was next year, we're gonna do
- 38:33Speaker 1: two out of the city events, one in the Bahamas
- 38:36Speaker 1: and one in Vegas. And I'm just gonna throw golf tournaments, man,
- 38:39Speaker 1: skip that, you know, parties, clubs, none of that. Just
- 38:43Speaker 1: go play golf. Care you asked your room all right?
- 38:47Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour. A
- 38:50Speaker 1: quick round of asked the cello with the Chief Love
- 38:52Speaker 1: Officer right after this, you're listening to show all right?
- 38:58Speaker 1: Time now for asking cello with Chief Love Officer Steve
- 39:02Speaker 1: Harvey into the building. This one is from Carlita and Richmond, Virginia.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Carlita writes, I'm in a marriage that's been over for years,
- 39:11Speaker 1: and my children constantly pressure me to leave their father.
- 39:15Speaker 1: It's a weekly struggle of me having to defend my
- 39:18Speaker 1: actions to them. They see their fathers stay out late
- 39:21Speaker 1: at night, ignore me when I'm talking, and not lift
- 39:24Speaker 1: a finger to help me around the house. They constantly
- 39:27Speaker 1: taught me by saying, if I don't leave, they're going
- 39:30Speaker 1: to run away. They're fifteen and thirteen. I don't have
- 39:34Speaker 1: any control over them or what my husband does. What
- 39:37Speaker 1: gives should I leave for my kid's sake? It seemed
- 39:41Speaker 1: to me like you will want to leave for your
- 39:43Speaker 1: own sake. Yeah, you have no dignity. You've allowed this
- 39:48Speaker 1: man to strip you of your dignity. He don't listen
- 39:52Speaker 1: to you, He stay out when he wants to your
- 39:55Speaker 1: kids saying if you don't leave him, they don't run away.
- 39:58Speaker 1: They know they daddy ain't nothing. They're thirteen and fifteen.
- 40:02Speaker 1: The problem is you. You're trying to explain your actions
- 40:06Speaker 1: to them for what what you're trying to do is
- 40:08Speaker 1: you're trying to and you got to be careful the
- 40:11Speaker 1: message that you send to your children. You can't embed
- 40:14Speaker 1: in their heads that you should accept sub part behavior,
- 40:18Speaker 1: because they're gonna grow up and they're gonna see that,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and they're gonna see one of two things. They're gonna
- 40:23Speaker 1: see you accept sub part behavior, or they're gonna watch
- 40:27Speaker 1: your father be abusive, watch their father be abusive, and
- 40:30Speaker 1: they're gonna emulate one of those things. I promise you
- 40:33Speaker 1: they will. They are going to pick up one of
- 40:35Speaker 1: the traits. We are either going to be the abuser
- 40:38Speaker 1: in a relationship or we're gonna sit around and take
- 40:40Speaker 1: a bunch of abuse. And ain't neither one of them good.
- 40:43Speaker 1: I hope you're listening, Carlata to the CLO. You have
- 40:47Speaker 1: no reason in the state. Are you sad it's over?
- 40:49Speaker 1: Why are you still there? Yeah? Absolutely all right? Moving
- 40:54Speaker 1: on Schuler in Kansas City says, I'm planning a trip
- 40:57Speaker 1: to Jamaica for me, my son, and his wife, along
- 40:59Speaker 1: with the woman I'm dating. My son, nor my daughter
- 41:02Speaker 1: in law have any idea who I'm dating and bringing
- 41:05Speaker 1: on the trip with me. It's my son's wife's mother.
- 41:10Speaker 1: We've been keeping a secret for months, and we feel
- 41:13Speaker 1: like Jamaica is the best place to let them know.
- 41:16Speaker 1: We know it's a little strange, but we couldn't deny
- 41:19Speaker 1: the connection we had. Do you think our kids will
- 41:22Speaker 1: be okay with it? Out of sight? Myself? That's really fly, man.
- 41:28Speaker 1: You know, I ain't guess what so bris that's crazy, Mamma.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Why is you're asking this hot time with us? Me
- 41:40Speaker 1: and Herbert? You know, it was just kicking it. I
- 41:44Speaker 1: think it's gonna be cool. I think I can't be
- 41:47Speaker 1: okay with it. Well, I mean if they ain't. Yeah,
- 41:51Speaker 1: your son's wife's mother. Damn, Pop. You ain't want to
- 41:55Speaker 1: say nothing to me? Mama? How could you you're dating
- 41:59Speaker 1: his son you're married to the son. Why? I mean,
- 42:06Speaker 1: that's not like they're not related. They're not. It's just
- 42:11Speaker 1: a little weird. Yeah, it's a little strange. In law
- 42:16Speaker 1: to in law. They're not related. It's the son and
- 42:20Speaker 1: the daughter. They they man and wife. They wasn't related.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Remember that the man that the mom and the daddy
- 42:27Speaker 1: really ain't related any anyway. It's like, yeah, that's y'all. Y'all,
- 42:35Speaker 1: it's a little strange. Strange if they want all right, so,
- 42:43Speaker 1: you know, I think it's gonna be dope. Man, they
- 42:47Speaker 1: have no idea who I'm bringing. Yeah, write us back

- 43:18Speaker 1: all night talking about this. You think they aren't let
- 43:21Speaker 1: doing it, especially day in the room next door? Say
- 43:25Speaker 1: an old store, rocking me like a bag of cotton,

- 45:06Speaker 1: I know you in three sixteen, so they you know
- 45:09Speaker 1: the girl at the office game, you know, because I
- 45:10Speaker 1: don't want to move nowhere else where. I can't be
- 45:13Speaker 1: in room three sixteen. I gotta be you know. It's
- 45:15Speaker 1: just real superstitious, I know, but I kind of gotta

- 46:04Speaker 1: you would you like to what's your apartment? Would you
- 46:07Speaker 1: like to move to? And I don't get them to
- 46:09Speaker 1: move your stuff. Nothing ain't nothing moving on. Don't think
- 46:13Speaker 1: it's gonna move with them numbers. You can add them up,
- 46:16Speaker 1: divide them, do whatever you want to them. But I
- 46:18Speaker 1: ain't move. So you're gonna have to get that to

- 46:36Speaker 1: going three sixteen. Man, Hey listen, man, I'm trying to
- 46:38Speaker 1: do this as respectful as possible. You know, Like I said,

- 46:56Speaker 1: See now you're gonna make this hard, okay, so let
- 46:58Speaker 1: me let me tell you this to you. And I'm
- 47:00Speaker 1: already told the lady I want to be in three
- 47:01Speaker 1: to sixteen. She told me I needed to deal with dale. Nah.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I'm trying to deal with you in a polightweight, okay,
- 47:07Speaker 1: because like I say, I can't function, man, I left
- 47:10Speaker 1: up an apartment three to sixteen. I can't. I can't
- 47:12Speaker 1: even get them go to work. I cannot function. Okay,
- 47:15Speaker 1: I have to have that apartment number. Right. It sounds
- 47:18Speaker 1: like you got a problem on your hands. Man, Whatever
- 47:20Speaker 1: your problem is, that's your problem. Ain't got you with me?
- 47:24Speaker 1: O coll You know like that? Like I say, I've
- 47:27Speaker 1: been staying in three to sixteen, I'm gonna stay in
- 47:30Speaker 1: three to sixteen until I moved to a house. You
- 47:32Speaker 1: need to find something else to do. And really I'm
- 47:35Speaker 1: starting that gave you my number to call me with
- 47:38Speaker 1: is I can't believes like the way you're talking to
- 47:42Speaker 1: you talking to me first to come at me with
- 47:46Speaker 1: come at me with a number, looked like you man,
- 47:49Speaker 1: three sixteen? What excuse me though, what you're saying You

- 48:55Speaker 1: was even giving you my number days. Hey, man, I'm
- 48:59Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you I have to stay
- 49:02Speaker 1: under them numbers, man, I have to. I'm superstitious like that.
- 49:05Speaker 1: I know, I know everybody ain't like that, but I
- 49:07Speaker 1: just happen to be like that. You don't say nobody
- 49:09Speaker 1: ain't like that. Man, I ain't got time to be
- 49:10Speaker 1: dealing it. Really, everybody ain't got time. You sit up
- 49:13Speaker 1: listen like this, and you looked up with Christian other
- 49:16Speaker 1: than I've been out this job looking what what apartment
- 49:19Speaker 1: number did they give you? They gave me like three

- 49:26Speaker 1: me did it three twenty nine, six o'clock to night.
- 49:29Speaker 1: How about them numbers? Okay, okay, So how about these
- 49:32Speaker 1: numbers right here? They sell them, Sell them twenty nine,
- 49:35Speaker 1: Steve Man, they sell them, sell them pointy nine, Steve Eye,
- 49:39Speaker 1: sell them seven twenty nine. Sex. You ain't never heard
- 49:42Speaker 1: that number before? What it's soundful? Man's that's the number
- 49:46Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Because this is nephew Tommy,
- 49:49Speaker 1: and you just got pranked by your coworker, limbito. I
- 49:54Speaker 1: me make that listen. It's it's just sounds crazy. I
- 50:00Speaker 1: believe it for us to had me rolling, got me
- 50:04Speaker 1: about to take off and go to the Lisa off
- 50:06Speaker 1: and call it height? Now who you say got me? Now?
- 50:10Speaker 1: Ain't you got a co worker at Linda? Linda acted

- 50:24Speaker 1: I ain't going no, man, Hey, del I got one
- 50:26Speaker 1: more thing to ask you. Man, there you had worked
- 50:31Speaker 1: for real, ain't you? Yeah? Hey man? What's the bad
- 50:35Speaker 1: radio show in the land? Man? Steve rother Martin show?
- 50:39Speaker 1: All right, man, get back to work, man, your phone
- 50:41Speaker 1: off the hook over there? All right? All right, right
- 50:48Speaker 1: back to numbers. Man, He was trying to meet you
- 50:56Speaker 1: right since fifteen? Meet me right there? How about how
- 51:02Speaker 1: the numbers work? That funny? You know? The thing about us,
- 51:10Speaker 1: man is and you know it's it's just a part
- 51:15Speaker 1: of it. If you're from the culture, this this culture
- 51:19Speaker 1: that we have to grow up in over of defending
- 51:22Speaker 1: yourself and and and scrapping and fighting, it's so many
- 51:26Speaker 1: people that are part of that culture. Even if you,
- 51:30Speaker 1: even if you've moved on from it, you can't put
- 51:33Speaker 1: you just can't put certain people that had it in
- 51:36Speaker 1: a background because it's gonna resurface. Man. Yeah, you know,
- 51:43Speaker 1: my mom used to say, we anticipate some bs all
- 51:46Speaker 1: the time, the black people. We are, right, that's what
- 51:52Speaker 1: I'm like said. The joke was I wish a blanketing blake. Yes,
- 52:00Speaker 1: I wish ready, I wish you wood ready said Okay, okay, okay,
- 52:11Speaker 1: that's what you want. Okay, cool, I got that for you. Plus,
- 52:15Speaker 1: so I got something you ain't counting on when you
- 52:18Speaker 1: want it. I know it's true with you, Steve everywhere.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Surely I'll be trying, I know, and like I'm gonna
- 52:32Speaker 1: tell y'all, Oh something something that happened at the golf course.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Seeing yeo jumped off at the court. That's a that's
- 52:44Speaker 1: that's a gentleman's game. Yeah, it wasn't possibly happened at
- 52:49Speaker 1: the golf course. All right, Well listen, Uh we'll be

- 53:23Speaker 1: one right here, right now. Buggle love and hold on tight.
- 53:27Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here. It is Strawberry letter.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Subject the ladies at the church love me. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:34Speaker 1: I am an ordained minister and I've been a pastor
- 53:38Speaker 1: at my church for thirteen years. I've been married three times,
- 53:43Speaker 1: so I'm singled by choice now. The church had a
- 53:46Speaker 1: problem at first with a nice looking and swab single pastor,
- 53:50Speaker 1: but I managed to keep them out of my business
- 53:53Speaker 1: until recently. My first wife went public with the details
- 53:56Speaker 1: of our divorce about a month ago, and that's snowball
- 54:00Speaker 1: into an all out investigation into my dealings with other
- 54:04Speaker 1: women in our church. They try to sanction me and
- 54:07Speaker 1: give me a reduction in my duties, but none of
- 54:10Speaker 1: the women I was messing with were bothered enough to
- 54:13Speaker 1: speak out against me. That's because I handle them with
- 54:16Speaker 1: TLC and I'm good at what I do. I have
- 54:21Speaker 1: repented for cheating on my wives, and that's why I
- 54:23Speaker 1: will never get married again. I have a problem now though.
- 54:28Speaker 1: The ladies in the church are coming at me in
- 54:30Speaker 1: alarming numbers. I have notes slipped to me after service,
- 54:34Speaker 1: and I get note slid under my office door. I'm
- 54:37Speaker 1: not on social media and I don't check my email myself,
- 54:40Speaker 1: so they're getting to me by any means necessary. So
- 54:44Speaker 1: I have turned to you for advice on what to
- 54:47Speaker 1: do with my social life now that I'm single and
- 54:50Speaker 1: not trying to be in a scandal. At my age,
- 54:53Speaker 1: I do still have needs, and so many of the
- 54:56Speaker 1: ladies are in great physical shape. They say they just
- 54:59Speaker 1: need counseling, But I'm not good with being alone in
- 55:02Speaker 1: my office with a woman that needs counseling and comforting.
- 55:06Speaker 1: I pray that this spirit is removed from me, because
- 55:09Speaker 1: I know right from wrong, and my mind is moving
- 55:12Speaker 1: toward doing wrong. I often wonder if it's me that
- 55:16Speaker 1: the women are into, or is it the idea of me?
- 55:20Speaker 1: How can I resist these temptations? You heard it, You
- 55:25Speaker 1: heard it, and I got to ask you, mister minister,
- 55:31Speaker 1: why are you a preacher, a man of God asking
- 55:36Speaker 1: Steve and I about what to do about temptation? Why
- 55:39Speaker 1: did you rus you, sir, are a pastor of thirteen years.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Is right here in your letter, so you know way more,
- 55:47Speaker 1: way more about this subject than we do that both
- 55:50Speaker 1: of us combined. You even say you know right from wrong.
- 55:54Speaker 1: You set it right here in your letter too. But
- 55:56Speaker 1: I get it. Knowing what to do and actually doing
- 55:59Speaker 1: it or two highly different situations, we all fall short.
- 56:02Speaker 1: I get that. But you know the Bible says, you know,
- 56:06Speaker 1: flee from the very appearance of evil, and resist the
- 56:08Speaker 1: devil he will flee from you. You you already know
- 56:11Speaker 1: the word pastor, but you know the word So so
- 56:15Speaker 1: what is this letter? Because I ain't got none of that?
- 56:19Speaker 1: But wait, but what is this letter really about? Though?
- 56:22Speaker 1: That's what we want to get to. I think it's to,
- 56:24Speaker 1: you know, take a moment to tell us how sexy
- 56:27Speaker 1: and fine you are or something like that. You know,
- 56:30Speaker 1: all these church ladies are all over you. I mean,
- 56:33Speaker 1: why else would you tell us that you're nice looking
- 56:35Speaker 1: and just swab and you handle them with TLC and
- 56:38Speaker 1: you're good at what you do. We don't care about that.
- 56:41Speaker 1: The problem is you, mister, married and divorced three times
- 56:46Speaker 1: because of cheating. You say you've repented, but you haven't
- 56:51Speaker 1: changed your behavior. The only thing you plan to do
- 56:53Speaker 1: differently now, you say, is to get married again. You
- 56:56Speaker 1: say you still have needs and you're leaning toward doing wrong.
- 57:00Speaker 1: So what you're you're saying is that you know you're
- 57:03Speaker 1: gonna be sleeping with some of these ladies at the
- 57:05Speaker 1: church real soon. That's what it sounds like. We all
- 57:07Speaker 1: know it. What you really need to do, mister pastor,
- 57:10Speaker 1: mister minister of thirteen years, sit down, humble yourself and
- 57:14Speaker 1: try to get your life back on track with God.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Pastor Steve, the subject is the ladies at the church
- 57:26Speaker 1: loved you. My question is what Shirley proposed a little earlier.
- 57:33Speaker 1: What the hell you come to me for? I mean, Pastor,
- 57:39Speaker 1: listen to me. I'm badly saying save like I'm saved,
- 57:44Speaker 1: but don't don't come over here with too much because
- 57:48Speaker 1: I'm I'm on constantly on the struggle. Yeah, now, boy, sir,
- 57:53Speaker 1: I'm an ordained minister. Now I have a question, Sherley,
- 57:57Speaker 1: because I don't know the answer to this. Is ordained
- 57:59Speaker 1: minister different from a minister that's called to the ministry
- 58:04Speaker 1: by God? Because I don't know what that difference is.
- 58:07Speaker 1: But I get to that I think the ordainment part
- 58:11Speaker 1: of it is Tommy, you can help me out. That's
- 58:13Speaker 1: the ritual to go through, yeah, because he was raising
- 58:16Speaker 1: the church as well. It's the ritual and the you know,
- 58:23Speaker 1: you know, Tommy knows stuff like this, but it's kind
- 58:26Speaker 1: of like the ritual and the ceremony that you go
- 58:29Speaker 1: to to say that you're okay. Skip anyway. Anyway, he's
- 58:36Speaker 1: what I'm saying, ordained a call. Maybe that's a difference.
- 58:39Speaker 1: I've been a pastor to church for thirteen years. I've
- 58:41Speaker 1: been married three times, and now that's why you call me.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Oh I see now, oh see. It didn't pop right
- 58:50Speaker 1: out into beginning. But maybe you thought since Steve been
- 58:54Speaker 1: at it three times, me and you could talk and well, pimp.
- 58:58Speaker 1: Here we go in and I say pimp with everything
- 59:03Speaker 1: in me because that's what I'm reading. Dog, I'm not
- 59:07Speaker 1: reading a letter from a pastor now, Pardner. I gotta
- 59:11Speaker 1: just be real. What you you call the wrong dude.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I'm finn to read your letter when we come back,
- 59:17Speaker 1: per line, and I'm gonna give you as I go
- 59:20Speaker 1: my exact feelings on it. Now, Pastor, this letter is
- 59:24Speaker 1: man to man, you know, I know so I don't
- 59:28Speaker 1: know why you write into me man and think now
- 59:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk to you real regular now. So when
- 59:33Speaker 1: we come back to the past, y'a't Finn talk to
- 59:36Speaker 1: the pastor real regular because he act like some dudes.
- 59:39Speaker 1: I know, I'm set pastoral behavior in him, So why
- 59:42Speaker 1: we got to talk as past All right? Cool? You
- 59:45Speaker 1: call the right place? All right. We'll have part two
- 59:48Speaker 1: of Thieves Response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 59:52Speaker 1: the hour. Subject for today the ladies at the church
- 59:55Speaker 1: love me. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 59:58Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. The subject is the ladies at church
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: love me? Love right, let's go. So now let's go
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: through the left. Don't leave nothing now, Steve Stephen Shelley.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I'm an ordained minister. I guess that's different from being
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: called I guess I've been a pastor my church for
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: thirteen years. I've been married three times, so I'm single
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: by choice. Now. I was wondering why I passed would
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: right in to us about his temptation and love life.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: But I guess it's cause he thinks I've been married
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: three times. We got some in coming. Well, imp here
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: would go. The church had a problem at first with
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: a nice looking at suave single pastor, but I managed
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: to keep them out of my business until recently. Oh
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: so your description of yourself is suave single pastor. Okay,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: you came in with with the swag in the game.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: My first wife went public with the details of and
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I've kept and I've managed to keep them out of
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: my business until recently. My first my wife went public
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: with the details of our divorce about a month ago,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: and that's snowballed into an all out of investigation into
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: my dealings with other women in our church. Okay, pastor,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Now I watched this. They tried to sanction me and
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: give me a reduction in my duties, but none of
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: the women I was messing with were bothered enough to
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: speak out against me. That's because I handled them with
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: TLC and I'm good at what I do well, pimp.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Problem is game recognized game. See the problem pass it
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: is you forgot that you was married and you didn't
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: handle your three wives with TLC. So there's other talk
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: about these women didn't bother to come out against you
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: because you treated them with TLC, and you good at
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: what you do. It's the reason you have three formal wives.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: It's because you forgot you was married and you didn't
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: treat your wives with TLC. Pimp. So let's scratch that.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: You're good at what you do. Your ass is fitting
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: against sanction, So don how good are you? Everybody in
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the church know your business. You're good at what you do,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: what pastor? And I have repented for cheating on my wives,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: and that's why I will never get married again. Oh,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: because you're not gonna get married again because you have
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to repent for cheating. Is that why you're not gonna
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: get married again? Because you've repented and now you've decided
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you will never get married again. You know why, because
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: you're gonna cheat again and you don't like having to
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: ask for repentance for it. See, pimp, I see y'all
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: through this letter. Man. I got a problem now though.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: The ladies in the church are coming at me in
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: alarming numbers. I got notes slipped to me after service.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I get notes under my dough so they getting down.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: You ain't on social media, nick, and they check I
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: don't check my email myself, so they get into me
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: by any means necessary. So I've turned to you for
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: advice on what to do with my social life. Okay, passion.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Now that I'm single and not trying to be at
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a scandal at my age, I do still have needs
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: and so many of the ladies are in great physical shape.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: What yes, yea? So this is all about your sexual gratification.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: That's all this is about, dude. They say they just
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: need counseling, but I'm not good with being alone in
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: my office with a woman that needs counseling and confidence.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about this, dog? Maybe you ain't
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: really passed the material, this ordained thing that you've got.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Maybe you ought to just get unordained because of your dog.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Maybe you ain't passed the material. If you can't comfort
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: and counsel people in a room by yourself, then your
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: ass ain't really pass the material. Damn dog. I pray
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: that this spirit is removed from me because I know
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: right from wrong and my mind is moving towards doing wrong. Dog,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: you ain't praying about this. You're righting into a morning show. Okay,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: so you're not. I pray that this spirit is removed
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: from me because I know right from wrong and my
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: mind is moving towards doing wrong. What I often wonder
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: if it's me that the women are into or is
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: it the idea of me? How can I resist these temptations?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Hold on, man, brother, you ain't really praying about this
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: because you're righting into the morning show. And then the
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: next thing, you know, if you were called your problem
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: is you answering too many callings? Can't nobody slip you
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: a note? Can't nobody come in your office? Can't nobody
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: getting no confident? Can't nobody getting no counseling? You can't
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: get mad no more? You're repented from cheating you to
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: hand at three wives, befolk. You suave, and you nice looking,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: and you dapple, and that's all it is. Pimp. So
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: when you say I wonder if it's me that the
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: women are into or is it the idea of me? Dog?
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: You tell us? You tell us because I think you
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: more in love with the idea of you than anybody else.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: You like the suave, nice looking past, and it walked
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: in the door. Are you in the ministry for the
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: right reasons? Is the question? Because it sounded to me
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: like you in the ministry for the women because you
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: don't do no counsel. So can anybody come in there
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: and talk to you and set me in because of
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: a woman coming there that's in good physical shape. You
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: got needs yo. Man, you're not gonna marry again because
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: you know you're gonna keep cheating, pimp. Let's be real.

- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Sad news out of Wimbledon. Everybody's sad news. Um Serena
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Williams had to withdraw to a leg injury from Wimbledon yesterday, man,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: um Man, she is out of Wimbledon. But you know
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: what it was. It was just the fact that she
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: tried to keep on playing even with the leg injury.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: She slipped on the grass. It was raining and she
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: slipped trying to return to serve and tweaked the muscle
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: in her in her leg. So she had to withdraw
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and she was hard a whole back tears. I mean,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: I know Wimbledon is a big event for her and
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: I really wish she could, but they gave her a
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: round standing ovation anyway as she left the court. That's
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: how much people appreciate Serena Williams. Man. Serena Williams career
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: is Hall of fame, right. That girl is the baddest
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: of the baddest of all the lad tenness true transfer.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: She's surpassed Billy Jean King, She's surpassed Chrissy every She's
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: to pass Martina, not LoVa, whatever her name is. That's
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: that's we know what we're talking about. You know what
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I'm saying, Oh girl, old girl. I mean, she is
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: the goat. She's to go to tennis. Tigers to go
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: to golf. I don't care what nobody records. Is what
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Tiger played golf better than anybody I ever saw. Now,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: you can roll out all the tapes of Jack Nicholas
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: and Honor Palm and they're great and all like that,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: But when you play the tapes, Tiger Wood better near body,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: hands down, hands down. Also, man, we gotta give a
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: big shout out. This is big, big shout out to
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: my man, Chauncey Billups. He is the new head coach
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: of the Portland Trail Blazers coach in the NBA. Detroit. Yeah,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: world champ all time favorite city to perform in Detroit

- 1:08:46Speaker 1: care about sock and all that. They don't need, they
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: don't need to bring him be down there. I don't
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: give a damn by lacrosse. Congratulations Anthony Mackie. Coming up
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, we'll talk about the
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: lazy way to transform your life right after this what
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: you're listening show, Well, guys, being lazy doesn't have to
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: be a bad thing. M I never heard that before,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: and it can actually help you transform your life now.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: Polly Worum is a life coach and self proclaimed lazy girl.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Polly says, you can lean into your lazy nature and
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: use it to create a life filled with joy. So
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: see if you agree, Steve. Okay, because you're completely again
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: to this, I'm sure the premise. Anyway, here we go.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: She says, be lazy enough to relax and laugh a
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: little at yourself. That is number one. She says. Don't
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: take yourself so seriously. Okay, okay, okay, you agree, Okay,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: be lazy enough to relax and enjoy yourself a little bit,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: laugh at yourself. Don't take yourself so seriously. Yeah, I
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: don't mind you laughing at yourself. Do that sometimes? And
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: I don't, and I don't, and I stopped working to relax.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I'm not finding you see. It's hard for me to
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: get a positive out of a negative because every lazy
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: person I know is sorry. And my father narrative. No, well,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: you can't flip it on me. My father fifteen did
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: something to me. Man, I was supposed to take out
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the trash every winsday and one and one win shore.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I heard him dragging the garbage cans down the driveway.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: I'm upstair asleep. Mother went rolled black open. He came upstairs,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: sat on the edge of my bed, shifting. He said,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: you know something, Sun, I didn't raise you to be
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: like this, but you one sorry rascal. You just a
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: sorry rascal. He got up and walked out of that
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: room and went to work. Man, he was disgusted. I
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: set up in and my father had never done it
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: like that. He just said, you were sorry, rascal. I
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: didn't raise you to be like this, and this was
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: just me missing taking the garbage out on Wednesdays, but
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: that was his unacceptable nature for excuses and not doing
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: what you're supposed to do. And my father walked out
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: their room. Man, I was devastated. Do you know every
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: sense that day I have been trying to prove to
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: him that I'm not sorry, that I'm not lazy to
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: my father died, I was That was my one thing
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: to prove to him, and I was so happy when
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: he said he was proud of me. Boy, you Scott.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: And so now this woman who hires her, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: I get what I got out of it. I didn't
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: get that part of she said, I think it's cool.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: What she's trying to say to let go a little bit.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Yeah that we just didn't. Yeah, she just shouldn't have
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: used the word lazy, and I think you would have
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: been fine with it, Steve, She says, allow yourself to
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: welcome change. You know, I agree with that. Yes, I
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: agree with that. Okay, we'll say something. I agree with it.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: She says. One of the best parts of laziness, Steve,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: not wasting energy on fighting change. Let your lazy help
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: you become a master of allowing. That's igniti again. Let
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: your laziness allow you to master allow it. What. Yeah,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: it sounds crazy though, so Jesse, you sit around and
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: watch it happening. See how I go? Man? Okay, all right,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: she says, pay attention to your ratio of hustle versus allowing. Okay,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: the rule of thumb is seventy percent work and thirty
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: percent allowing. This means you do groundwork, let go of expectations,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: and allows the universe to deliver. That's her philosophy. I'm
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: the work. How much hustling are y'all doing? I got
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: the hustle falsett wide. I think you're I think you're
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: gonna really like this one, though, Steve. She says, listen
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: to your gut, trust your intuition, and don't waste time
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: and energy getting other people's views on what's going on
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: in your life. I think she nailed that one. I
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: agree with that. See, I think what's keeping her alive?
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: She say a couple of things that just trips and
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: she falls off. I agree. All right, We'll have more
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up in twenty

- 1:16:46Speaker 1: the top of my head. He was holding the top
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: of my head, and all I could do was hold
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: his ass. I was very uncomfortable. I don't like when
