- 1:15Speaker 5: You got to turn you to turn the mouth the
- 1:42Speaker 5: turn you probably got to turn the mouth out, turn
- 1:46Speaker 5: along the mono.
- 1:55Speaker 7: Come come on, you think, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 2: You'll listen to the voice.
- 2:07Speaker 7: Come on, dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:12Speaker 7: got this radio show. Man, How I got here? I
- 2:17Speaker 7: really can't explain it. Only by the grace of God,
- 2:20Speaker 7: that's all I can really tell you. I was talking
- 2:25Speaker 7: with a buddy the other day and he was telling me.
- 2:27Speaker 7: He said, Man, he had an interesting philosophy about it.
- 2:32Speaker 2: He say.
- 2:32Speaker 7: You know, you can have dreams and visions, he say,
- 2:34Speaker 7: but God, God will never show you what all he
- 2:41Speaker 7: has for you. He won't show you all of it
- 2:45Speaker 7: because he knows you'll mess it up. And you know what, man,
- 2:50Speaker 7: I thought about that, and wow, how true is that?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Okay?
- 2:56Speaker 7: I know that I got a radio show. I didn't
- 3:00Speaker 7: see it. It's just become this major blessing for me.
- 3:04Speaker 7: I didn't see it. But if I would have seen
- 3:06Speaker 7: it and known when he had planned on giving it
- 3:10Speaker 7: to me, I would have messed it up because Number one,
- 3:14Speaker 7: my first question would have been to him, why I
- 3:17Speaker 7: got to wait so long? Why don't I go down
- 3:21Speaker 7: hill and start on the radio now? And then I'll
- 3:25Speaker 7: be in radio and then tydd, I see there God.
- 3:29Speaker 7: But see the thing about God is God don't need
- 3:32Speaker 7: your help. Matter of fact, he don't really want it.
- 3:36Speaker 7: All he wants is you to love him and obey
- 3:39Speaker 7: if you can do them, two things I think I
- 3:42Speaker 7: could be wrong.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I think he'd be really cool with us. So had
- 3:46Speaker 2: I known.
- 3:49Speaker 7: About these blessings that he had for me, I would
- 3:52Speaker 7: have messed him up because I would have put my
- 3:54Speaker 7: thinking in the figuring process, and that would have jackted
- 3:57Speaker 7: it all up. That's the first thing I have asked
- 4:00Speaker 7: him why I got away so long? And then if
- 4:03Speaker 7: he'd shown me what I was gonna have to do
- 4:05Speaker 7: to get it, I would have showed messed that up. Man,
- 4:08Speaker 7: I ain't finna do that. I ain't finna do all
- 4:11Speaker 7: of that. Wait a minute, I got to go through
- 4:14Speaker 7: all of these mishaps in my life. So when I
- 4:16Speaker 7: get the radio show. I have something to share, Man,
- 4:22Speaker 7: Why won't I just read a couple of books and
- 4:23Speaker 7: share that experience with them?
- 4:25Speaker 3: Now?
- 4:26Speaker 7: See, I want you to know what you're talking about.
- 4:30Speaker 7: I want you to be transparent. I want people to
- 4:33Speaker 7: be able to identify with your struggle and apply they
- 4:36Speaker 7: struggle to it and see that they can get over.
- 4:39Speaker 2: See.
- 4:40Speaker 7: God never shows you all of it because he know
- 4:43Speaker 7: we'll mess it up.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I wouldn't have.
- 4:45Speaker 7: Any books, I certainly please know, I would not be
- 4:49Speaker 7: the host of family. Can I tell you that it
- 4:54Speaker 7: is amazing man, how God works, And my invitation to
- 4:58Speaker 7: everybody today is allowed God to work. You know, you
- 5:03Speaker 7: can ask him why all you want to, And from
- 5:05Speaker 7: time to time I still do no good for me,
- 5:09Speaker 7: But that o me old woe is me?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Lord? Thing that don't really get it for me?
- 5:14Speaker 7: Because when I start asking him why, I'm asking somebody
- 5:17Speaker 7: who has a thought process so high above mind that
- 5:20Speaker 7: there's no way if he told it to me, I
- 5:22Speaker 7: wouldn't even get it.
- 5:24Speaker 2: You wouldn't either, Uncle, I'll bright you think you are.
- 5:26Speaker 7: Man, You just ain't gonna get how and why he
- 5:28Speaker 7: does it his way. You're not going to understand it.
- 5:32Speaker 7: But He has a plan for each and every one
- 5:34Speaker 7: of us. And if we adhere to the plan, if
- 5:37Speaker 7: we submit ourself to his will and just say, okay, God,
- 5:40Speaker 7: what you want me to do, I am telling you
- 5:42Speaker 7: it is the best way to live.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Now.
- 5:46Speaker 7: You can also do it the way I did it
- 5:48Speaker 7: early on. You can just do what you want to
- 5:51Speaker 7: do and see how it go from now. And I
- 5:54Speaker 7: will tell you from personal experience, it's not going to
- 5:57Speaker 7: go good. My wife and I were talking the other
- 6:02Speaker 7: day and she said something with me, and I had
- 6:04Speaker 7: to write it down. She says, Steve, you know the
- 6:07Speaker 7: funny thing about sin. She says, sining costs you more
- 6:11Speaker 7: than you want to pay and causes you to stay
- 6:14Speaker 7: longer than you want to stay. As my wife where
- 6:20Speaker 7: she got that from, she says, some old person told
- 6:22Speaker 7: it to her. She says, sining cost you more than
- 6:25Speaker 7: you want to pay and causes you to stay longer
- 6:28Speaker 7: than you want to stay. That's the problem, man, about
- 6:31Speaker 7: doing what you want to do. Because we are all sinners, man,
- 6:35Speaker 7: all of us, all of us, every last one of
- 6:38Speaker 7: us a sinners. You will be a sinner until you die. Now,
- 6:41Speaker 7: you could be saved by grace, but You're going to
- 6:44Speaker 7: be a sinner man. You are going to make mistakes.
- 6:47Speaker 7: You are going to in your life knowingly do wrong.
- 6:53Speaker 7: I bet you will. I don't know who you think
- 6:55Speaker 7: you are. I don't know who you've been listening to.
- 6:57Speaker 7: But get this, we are sinners. We were born into
- 7:02Speaker 7: a world that is sinful. Now it's okay, it's okay,
- 7:07Speaker 7: it's our world. But we can make the best of
- 7:09Speaker 7: it because we can form a relationship with God and
- 7:13Speaker 7: we can go to war with this thing, you know,
- 7:15Speaker 7: and we can win. You can actually get over. Being
- 7:19Speaker 7: born into this world is not an end all. It
- 7:22Speaker 7: doesn't mean you're doomed, nah man, because God is available
- 7:26Speaker 7: to give you life, and not only give you life,
- 7:29Speaker 7: but give it to you more abundantly. I have more
- 7:33Speaker 7: of an abundant life than I've ever had.
- 7:35Speaker 2: If you took away the finances.
- 7:38Speaker 7: Trust and believe, I have so many things I could
- 7:41Speaker 7: tell you that I'm grateful for. For my wife, for
- 7:45Speaker 7: my children, man, for my family, for the few friends
- 7:50Speaker 7: that I have, for the work that I do, man
- 7:55Speaker 7: for the respect that some people that I feel around
- 7:58Speaker 7: some people from the reputae ha I've earned. Now I
- 8:01Speaker 7: ain't cool with everybody. I got that. I ain't cool
- 8:05Speaker 7: with everybody. Everybody ain't cool with me. Everybody don't like me. Man,
- 8:09Speaker 7: get past that right there. I don't care what you do.
- 8:12Speaker 7: Everybody are gonna like you. Some people didn't like Jesus.
- 8:15Speaker 2: What did he do? What did he do wrong to anybody?
- 8:21Speaker 7: Show it to me where he was just out there
- 8:25Speaker 7: just messing over folks, and you could justify all that
- 8:28Speaker 7: happened to him. Just show it to me. But he
- 8:31Speaker 7: knew everybody ain't gonna like me. I just come to
- 8:35Speaker 7: save y'all, understand. I got you. Ain't feeling me. You're
- 8:39Speaker 7: gonna spit on me. You're gonna hang me up there,
- 8:41Speaker 7: You're gonna pierce my side. You're gonna do all that
- 8:44Speaker 7: to me. When you get through, I still love you.
- 8:47Speaker 7: That's a powerful statement. Man, God will take care of
- 8:50Speaker 7: you if you form this relationship with him. He has
- 8:54Speaker 7: something for you. He has a plan for you that
- 8:58Speaker 7: is beyond you imagine. He will give you the desires
- 9:02Speaker 7: of your heart. But he also has some stuff in
- 9:05Speaker 7: store for you that you're not even asking for. That
- 9:08Speaker 7: he is willing to ship to an address that belongs
- 9:13Speaker 7: to you as long as you stay on the right
- 9:16Speaker 7: path and are trying your best. God to ship you
- 9:20Speaker 7: the blessing anyway, because please know He's done it to me.
- 9:22Speaker 7: I'm a living witness to this, that God will ship
- 9:25Speaker 7: you blessings and you ain't gonna be perfect. But if
- 9:28Speaker 7: he know your heart, man, if he know you trying
- 9:30Speaker 7: to do better, if he see you trying to change,
- 9:33Speaker 7: if he see you trying to get it right, he
- 9:36Speaker 7: understands that you're gonna stumble all the way through this thing.
- 9:40Speaker 7: But if he know your heart and he know you
- 9:43Speaker 7: trying to get it right, and you're doing the best
- 9:45Speaker 7: you can, BOYD, here'll ship some stuff your way.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Man. You really be tripping, man, you will really be tripping.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man. It's crazy, ain't it.

- 10:16Speaker 7: you if you fix your if you start with gratitude,

- 11:37Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, that's it.

- 12:09Speaker 7: just wanted to ride and we mess around. We had
- 12:13Speaker 7: to get gas, and I got out and I went
- 12:16Speaker 7: in a store like a Quentin trip out on the road,

- 12:56Speaker 7: stick and you spoon out the cheese and put it
- 13:00Speaker 7: on the track. They sell that too down Yeah, I
- 13:06Speaker 7: was in that touch stuff. And now let me tell
- 13:08Speaker 7: you something else they got. They got these slurpies down there.
- 13:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:11Speaker 2: The cup so damn big.
- 13:14Speaker 7: It takes two hands to hold it, a shine slurpy
- 13:20Speaker 7: and you make it yourself and it come out this
- 13:23Speaker 7: machine like an ice cream machine and the slush and
- 13:27Speaker 7: it fill up. But you can squirk extra syrup in
- 13:30Speaker 7: it with your hand and it can be pick any
- 13:34Speaker 7: color you need to get.

- 26:59Speaker 2: It's not disrespect. Nobody on his name, body is not related.
- 27:03Speaker 2: He don't. If he had another woman's name on that,
- 27:05Speaker 2: she'd have a valid point.
- 27:07Speaker 7: But they're all related to him, daughter, you know, my
- 27:12Speaker 7: blood relatives.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so that ain't a bad thing.

- 28:53Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 28:54Speaker 1: some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Show.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Well, there's a new game show on Fox. I'm sure
- 29:04Speaker 1: you guys have seen it. It's called The Floor. It's
- 29:07Speaker 1: hosted by Rob Lowe, who doesn't age. By the way,
- 29:10Speaker 1: he looks so goods. Almost recently, there were some white
- 29:17Speaker 1: contestants on the game show who could not name any
- 29:21Speaker 1: and I mean any famous black people. They passed on
- 29:25Speaker 1: naming images of Steph Curry, Harriet Tubman, Tracy Ellis Ross,
- 29:30Speaker 1: Dennis Robin who doesn't know Dennis Rodman. And they passed
- 29:33Speaker 1: on you, Steve with your face.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Really we black people should we know all us.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Over Kim John Oon they know Dennis Rodman. But anyway,
- 29:50Speaker 1: more importantly, they didn't know you okay everywhere?
- 29:55Speaker 7: Yes, yes, you wouldn't blurred out that much. I like
- 30:05Speaker 7: Rob Lowe's reaction though, when he saw it and they
- 30:07Speaker 7: saw me and they opened it up.
- 30:09Speaker 2: He just dropped his head when.
- 30:10Speaker 1: They said past like, you know Steve Harvey, craziness with Steve.
- 30:24Speaker 1: You're cool with the Steve that they didn't know you.
- 30:27Speaker 2: No, it don't change nothing from me. Don't change what.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Were you saying, girla. It kind of shows what It's
- 30:36Speaker 1: kind of sad. Yeah, it's very sad. Yeah, because it
- 30:42Speaker 1: only shows.
- 30:42Speaker 4: That, you know what.
- 30:44Speaker 2: It's kind of like to me what them not knowing
- 30:47Speaker 2: me is like Junior not being Santa Clause. Nobody, boy,
- 30:54Speaker 2: don't nobody know this? Why bringing that up? You gotta
- 30:59Speaker 2: ask you got Junior permission to bring that up? You
- 31:02Speaker 2: got five dog called mentoring.
- 31:07Speaker 7: You know it's or I'm just gonna tell people that
- 31:10Speaker 7: will help you understand something. I have to deal with
- 31:12Speaker 7: this all the time. Junior ran for a party in
- 31:15Speaker 7: the movie and he didn't get it okay, and and
- 31:18Speaker 7: he was a little bombed out about it.
- 31:20Speaker 1: And how is the same as a contestant on the Games?
- 31:23Speaker 7: Not when the white folks didn't know me now I'm
- 31:25Speaker 7: a little bit bombed out by it.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I knew you were, That's why I asked you. And
- 31:30Speaker 1: if finally you admitted it, Junior.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Ain't Santa Claus and I ain't famous as I thought
- 31:35Speaker 7: I was. I'm gonna need me some alcohol to get
- 31:41Speaker 7: to you.
- 31:45Speaker 3: I'm crowd.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I could tell you what else you got, Shirley.
- 31:48Speaker 1: All right, come on, come on, mister non famous.
- 31:52Speaker 2: All right.
- 31:53Speaker 1: This is according to the Dallas Morning News, Jerry Jones,
- 31:56Speaker 1: the owner who of the Dallas Cowboy. He's a billionaire.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Of course he's going to have to submit to a
- 32:03Speaker 1: paternity test. A Texas judge ordered him to take one.
- 32:07Speaker 1: He's eighty years old. He has to provide DNA to
- 32:10Speaker 1: determine if he fathered twenty seven year old Alexandra Davis
- 32:14Speaker 1: because she believes Jerry Jones is her dad. Davis has
- 32:19Speaker 1: DNA proof that her mom's divorced husband is not the father. Alexander.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Davis claimed last year in a lawsuit that Jerry Jones
- 32:27Speaker 1: paid child's support and hush money to her mom. Davis
- 32:31Speaker 1: alleged that Jerry Jones made three payments to her mom
- 32:34Speaker 1: worth half a million dollars. He also established a trust
- 32:39Speaker 1: in Alexandra Davis's name. Jerry Jones has denied he's her dad.
- 32:44Speaker 1: After all, he just celebrated last year his sixtieth wedding anniversary.
- 32:49Speaker 1: What's at stake here, that's the big question.
- 32:51Speaker 7: Why is she You can have you can have listen
- 32:53Speaker 7: to me, you can have wed now versus in kias
- 32:56Speaker 7: that same Yeah?
- 32:59Speaker 1: Really, but anyway, this is what's at stake. This is
- 33:03Speaker 1: why she's trying to get this DNA to prove that
- 33:05Speaker 1: he is her dad, because it would be a slice
- 33:09Speaker 1: of the Dallas Cowboys empire worth nine million dollars estimated
- 33:15Speaker 1: nine million dollars I'm sorry, billion dollars billion with a beat,
- 33:19Speaker 1: Oh we.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Gotta take this test. Hell yeah, Well.
- 33:23Speaker 7: She's not gonna get She's not gonna get that big
- 33:27Speaker 7: of a slice of the nine billion.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Just understand that. Well how much? Say how much?
- 33:37Speaker 7: Well, see, what's gonna happen is if he turns out
- 33:41Speaker 7: to be that would be a settlement. The first of
- 33:46Speaker 7: all that will be appeals out the Yang Yang His
- 33:49Speaker 7: lawyers is gonna go to work. They gonna deny, They're
- 33:52Speaker 7: gonna appeal. It's gonna be a long time for he
- 33:55Speaker 7: take a DNA test. I want you all to understand that,
- 33:57Speaker 7: because that's gonna be an appeal. It's gonna be a
- 34:00Speaker 7: long time before he even take the test. Then when
- 34:03Speaker 7: the results come back, if they show positive, here comes
- 34:08Speaker 7: the appeals you are, then that's gonna go through.
- 34:13Speaker 2: By then all about time all this go through jail,
- 34:16Speaker 2: gonna be out of here.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Yeahs her dad. She still get a slice though, right,
- 34:26Speaker 1: but he's saying she won't get nine billion.
- 34:29Speaker 7: But on the side they're gonna go off to the
- 34:33Speaker 7: side and make a payment. This this is gonna go away,
- 34:36Speaker 7: y'all do. This is gonna go away.
- 34:39Speaker 2: They ain't gonna be in a suite at the Cowboy
- 34:41Speaker 2: games and all that.
- 34:42Speaker 7: Nothing else she didn't get have been none of that
- 34:45Speaker 7: written for that. Yeah, season tickets, but it's gonna be weave.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Surely there is no floor at the stadium GasPort. She's
- 35:00Speaker 7: gonna be up in there. She's gonna get season ticket,
- 35:01Speaker 7: but they're gonna be there by them lights.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Oh way up top, way up top.
- 35:07Speaker 2: She's gonna be able to reach up and burn her
- 35:08Speaker 2: hand on a.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Light that's so close to the top to the ever
- 35:16Speaker 1: j Joe, Well, I think it's the money if he's
- 35:18Speaker 1: her daddy, period billion.
- 35:24Speaker 7: But they're in Texas, y'all that I trust me when
- 35:27Speaker 7: I tell you they gonna find the way around a
- 35:29Speaker 7: lot of this. She gonna get a check. But it
- 35:31Speaker 7: ain't gonna be no what you're talking about. The slice.
- 35:34Speaker 7: It's gonna be so thin.
- 35:39Speaker 1: After the hour. Today is Super Tuesday. We'll talk about
- 35:42Speaker 1: that right after this. You're listening morning show. Well, today
- 35:48Speaker 1: is Super Tuesday.
- 35:49Speaker 2: It is here.

- 37:09Speaker 7: we get the privilege and we I don't feel like
- 37:11Speaker 7: going down there today. It ain't gonna change nothing. It
- 37:14Speaker 7: changes everything. Do you know if it were not worth for,
- 37:17Speaker 7: if it were not for black people, listen to me,
- 37:20Speaker 7: Donald Trump would have been president again.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Do you know why?
- 37:24Speaker 7: Because we changed it in Michigan, We changed the results
- 37:28Speaker 7: in Philly, and we changed the results in Georgia. Georgia
- 37:34Speaker 7: was the last one that was the deciding factor. And
- 37:37Speaker 7: all those votes came from counties that were predominantly black
- 37:42Speaker 7: in Michigan, Detroit, Milwaukee, and when it got to Philly,
- 37:47Speaker 7: the black districts, and when it came to Atlanta, Fordham County,
- 37:50Speaker 7: Cobb and all of them showed up that's why Donald
- 37:53Speaker 7: Trump is not president. You must have learned then that
- 37:57Speaker 7: your vote makes a difference.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Not damn you matter, you matter.
- 38:03Speaker 13: Yeah, this man caught a case behind this right sharsdays.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Your vote matters. Yes, you can see.
- 38:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:12Speaker 7: They was climbing over that wall on January sixth with
- 38:16Speaker 7: their non ride and ass because they mad because we
- 38:20Speaker 7: showed up and they man ain't in yep ye, And.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Then they tried to say the election was stolen and
- 38:28Speaker 1: all of that.
- 38:29Speaker 7: And white people, y'all need to start checking with black
- 38:32Speaker 7: people before y'all ride. First of all, y'all ride in
- 38:34Speaker 7: the daytime. We see all y'all.
- 38:37Speaker 1: We got camera bones, we got.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Damn at these We wait ting, no no riot.
- 38:47Speaker 1: All right, coming up in thirty four minutes after the hour.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Please get out and vote people. We will check your
- 38:52Speaker 1: voicemail Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve eight
- 38:55Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine, Steves. Right after this you're listening
- 39:00Speaker 1: hardy morning shows. It is time now to check your
- 39:04Speaker 1: boysmail Steve. If you would like to leave a message
- 39:06Speaker 1: for Steve, call him eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve
- 39:09Speaker 1: eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. You might just hear
- 39:12Speaker 1: your call on the air. This is Ron from Harlem, Steve,
- 39:15Speaker 1: he wants to comment on Blacks for Trump. Thanks Steve,
- 39:18Speaker 1: This is Ron from Harlem.
- 39:20Speaker 15: The other day you had record shopping on who had
- 39:22Speaker 15: a question for black Trump supporters.
- 39:25Speaker 4: The question was do you have no shame?
- 39:28Speaker 8: The answer is they have no brain?
- 39:30Speaker 15: When Trump, the great verbal anesthetizer, has his clan rallies
- 39:35Speaker 15: disguised as campaigning, and he has those no brain Uncle
- 39:38Speaker 15: Tom Blacks suffering from Stockholm syndrome strategically sitting behind him
- 39:43Speaker 15: wearing T shirts saying Blacks for Trump. How do you
- 39:47Speaker 15: support someone who hates you, littles your entire race, and
- 39:51Speaker 15: supports white supremist.
- 39:53Speaker 16: Groups that want to eliminate your entire race.
- 39:56Speaker 15: There's a few slogans that make just as much sense
- 39:59Speaker 15: as Black for Trump, Thank you for Thanksgiving, roaches for raids,
- 40:04Speaker 15: slaves for slavery, all those make just as much sense.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Black for Trump, raise.
- 40:14Speaker 7: Fraid, roaches for raid. Come on, man, come on, bro,
- 40:21Speaker 7: that's the best one. These are slogan that make just
- 40:24Speaker 7: as much the slaves for slavery and roaches for raid.
- 40:32Speaker 7: Blacks for Trump. Hey dog, excuse me, I need y'all
- 40:36Speaker 7: write that down for me. I'm finna use that every day.
- 40:39Speaker 7: Find what's take First of all, do me this fake
- 40:42Speaker 7: Listen to it again. I want his name because I'm
- 40:44Speaker 7: gonna give him full credit. He is now gonna be
- 40:47Speaker 7: my slopiness to why we need to vote. And Ron
- 40:51Speaker 7: from Harlem says, blacks for Trump make about as much
- 40:57Speaker 7: sense as slaves for slavery, roaches for.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Played again before we before we leave today. Yeah, thanks,
- 41:09Speaker 1: run kept it one hundred, did the all right? Moving
- 41:12Speaker 1: on to James the truck driver, he says his wife
- 41:16Speaker 1: has a gambling problem. Take a listen.
- 41:18Speaker 16: See my name is James, and I am a truck driver.
- 41:23Speaker 16: And my wife spends about eight hundred dollars a month
- 41:28Speaker 16: going to the casino. And we talked, and I need
- 41:32Speaker 16: to know what I can do to get her to
- 41:35Speaker 16: stop going to that casino giving them that money. She
- 41:39Speaker 16: spends more than she brings home. And like I say,
- 41:43Speaker 16: I work all the time, and true enough, she sits
- 41:47Speaker 16: home all the time. But I've tried to talk to
- 41:50Speaker 16: her to let's take a vacation to go to Hawaii.
- 41:54Speaker 16: I've tried to get her to take a cruise with me.
- 41:57Speaker 16: I've tried to get her to do several things with
- 41:59Speaker 16: me on my day's off. But yet she would rather
- 42:02Speaker 16: go to casino. And I would like to know what
- 42:05Speaker 16: would be the best way to get her to stop
- 42:08Speaker 16: going to that casino and give her them our hard
- 42:11Speaker 16: earned money. I'd rather for her to go shopping and
- 42:14Speaker 16: buyers and prose instead of giving it to the casino.
- 42:18Speaker 8: So tell me what your view on on of this.
- 42:21Speaker 16: Have a great day.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Thank you well.
- 42:23Speaker 7: First of all, James, James, great husband, hard situation.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Now you've talked to her, she's got a gambling problem.
- 42:35Speaker 2: We all agree.
- 42:36Speaker 7: Eight hundred them off down at the casino, James said,
- 42:38Speaker 7: I'd rather her go shopping and buy clothes. Yeah, they
- 42:41Speaker 7: take it down there and give it away. So this
- 42:43Speaker 7: man ain't here. Here's your only solution, James. She stays
- 42:47Speaker 7: at home all day. You bring all the money home.
- 42:51Speaker 7: I think what you're gonna have to start doing, James,
- 42:53Speaker 7: is you're gonna have to get into the bill paying process,
- 42:57Speaker 7: make sure you take care of your house. She likes
- 42:58Speaker 7: your food, your grocery all like that. Then I think
- 43:01Speaker 7: you're gonna have to deduct eight hundred out at after that.
- 43:06Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 43:07Speaker 7: And then let her go down to the casino with
- 43:09Speaker 7: whatever left. But I think you're gonna have to take
- 43:11Speaker 7: that eight hundred and pull it to the side yourself
- 43:14Speaker 7: after you take care of the rent the gas electric.
- 43:17Speaker 7: Then once you pay that, take eight hundred and put
- 43:21Speaker 7: it somewhere in an account with your name on it.
- 43:25Speaker 2: And now whatever she want to go gambling with, now
- 43:27Speaker 2: she can go on down there.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Wow, she won't even go on a vacation with him.
- 43:31Speaker 1: He wants to take her shy counseling.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, I know what we know. We're gonna
- 43:43Speaker 2: be minus eight hundred. Next next check, I like and see,
- 43:48Speaker 2: I like, Yes, that's what we're gonna do.
- 43:50Speaker 1: First, coming up next it is a nephew and today's
- 43:53Speaker 1: prank phone call. Right after this, you're listening morning show

- 53:53Speaker 2: Here it is strawberry letter.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Thanking for you. Subject. If it's in the house, it's mine.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband and I have been married
- 54:01Speaker 1: for eleven years and we have a son. My husband
- 54:04Speaker 1: is eight years older than I am, and he has
- 54:06Speaker 1: old school values and ideas. He is great with our
- 54:10Speaker 1: finances and I'm not. I spend a lot of money
- 54:13Speaker 1: on our child's extra curricular activities and his annual school fundraisers.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I hate that I have to ask our friends to
- 54:21Speaker 1: support our child, and I have to do this single
- 54:23Speaker 1: handily because my husband won't ever help me. So I
- 54:27Speaker 1: use cash that he keeps in the house, or I
- 54:29Speaker 1: use our credit card. My husband never questioned me, but
- 54:33Speaker 1: last week I sent our child to school with six
- 54:35Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars cash to donate to the fundraiser
- 54:39Speaker 1: because I don't have time to beg My child came
- 54:42Speaker 1: home and bragged to his daddy that he raised the
- 54:44Speaker 1: most money, and my husband looked at me and didn't
- 54:47Speaker 1: I didn't make eye contacts. Before he could speak, I
- 54:50Speaker 1: told him we would talk about it later before bed.
- 54:54Speaker 1: He asked me how our child raised the most money.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I told him I got the money out of his
- 54:59Speaker 1: safe under the bed. He tried to lecture me about
- 55:02Speaker 1: stealing money, and I had to remind him that what's
- 55:05Speaker 1: his is mine and vice versa. If it's in the house,
- 55:09Speaker 1: it is mine. I also went off on him about
- 55:12Speaker 1: not supporting our child and leaving after school activities and
- 55:15Speaker 1: fundraisers up to me. He told me that's a mother's job.
- 55:19Speaker 1: I told him that's exactly why I take whatever I need.
- 55:23Speaker 1: My husband hid the safe after that night. Why does
- 55:26Speaker 1: he act like I'm stealing from him? I know I
- 55:29Speaker 1: could have told him before I took that money, But
- 55:31Speaker 1: what is the big deal? Well, there is a big deal.
- 55:37Speaker 1: People do get tired of endless school fundraisers, So I
- 55:41Speaker 1: get you not wanting to ask people to contribute all
- 55:43Speaker 1: the time. How selfish is your husband? Though it's his
- 55:47Speaker 1: son too. He should support, He should contribute, He should
- 55:51Speaker 1: do whatever he has to do for his child. I mean,
- 55:54Speaker 1: your husband should be teaching him how to earn money
- 55:57Speaker 1: for school fundraisers and things like that. Shouldn't just have
- 56:00Speaker 1: to make it so easy for him and just take
- 56:02Speaker 1: the money or whatever. It's not just a mother's job. Though,
- 56:07Speaker 1: Where did he get that from? Your husband? What does
- 56:10Speaker 1: that even mean, I mean, where else can his son
- 56:12Speaker 1: learn how to be a man but from his dad.
- 56:15Speaker 1: This is about more than just money in the safe though.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I think it's about your husband and his I think
- 56:21Speaker 1: you call them old school values and ideas. You don't
- 56:25Speaker 1: have to stay in your place as a woman. This
- 56:27Speaker 1: is not just a woman's job. But because you do
- 56:29Speaker 1: what you do for your son, which does require spending money,
- 56:33Speaker 1: That's why I guess that's why he doesn't help you
- 56:37Speaker 1: raise his son. He thinks you have it all under
- 56:39Speaker 1: control and he doesn't want to be a part of that.
- 56:41Speaker 1: He shouldn't be accusing you, though, of stealing money. It's
- 56:45Speaker 1: for your son, his son. He doesn't see you as
- 56:48Speaker 1: a partner. He doesn't see you as an equal, and
- 56:50Speaker 1: to me, that is a bigger issue in your household,
- 56:53Speaker 1: in your marriage. That's what you guys need to focus on. Steve.
- 56:58Speaker 7: I don't agree with the whole assessment, and I'll tell
- 57:03Speaker 7: you why because I think in this letter what's happening
- 57:07Speaker 7: is I think they're not teaching the sun the right
- 57:11Speaker 7: values here. If you gonna give him all the money
- 57:14Speaker 7: so he can be the top recruiter or earner at
- 57:17Speaker 7: the class and he get to come home and brag
- 57:19Speaker 7: about he gave the most money in everybody, but ain't
- 57:21Speaker 7: nobody earn nothing. I think I think we sending the
- 57:25Speaker 7: wrong message to the boy. That's for starters. Now let
- 57:30Speaker 7: me get into this letter. Y'all been married for eleven years.
- 57:33Speaker 7: He eight years old than you. He old schooled. I
- 57:35Speaker 7: spend a lot of money on my charge extracurriculum activity
- 57:38Speaker 7: and his annual school fundraisers.
- 57:40Speaker 2: I understand that.
- 57:42Speaker 7: I hate that I have to ask our friends to
- 57:43Speaker 7: support our child, and I have to do this single
- 57:46Speaker 7: handing because my husband won't ever help me. See them, schools,
- 57:49Speaker 7: they got these little pimp systems out here going on,
- 57:53Speaker 7: and I think it's unfair to dump this heavy load
- 57:56Speaker 7: on the parents. First of all, schools nowadays have such
- 57:59Speaker 7: a burden of homework that's due on the children that
- 58:03Speaker 7: now the parents got to be participating in the homework.
- 58:07Speaker 7: Now they come up with these unrealistic fundraisers because these
- 58:11Speaker 7: schools want to appear like they're providing your child with
- 58:14Speaker 7: all these wonderful experiences. But then now a lot of
- 58:17Speaker 7: these schools required that the parents got to pay for
- 58:20Speaker 7: all this extra stuff. Well, it's great that y'all coming
- 58:23Speaker 7: up with these ideas. But now you're dumping that on
- 58:26Speaker 7: the parents. And it's already costly enough by the time
- 58:30Speaker 7: these parents pay for school supplies, the parents pay for books,
- 58:36Speaker 7: education trips, to the school field trips. Now we got
- 58:40Speaker 7: to raise all this funds, these annual school fundraisers.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Hold up, hold up, what else do the parents got
- 58:48Speaker 2: to do?
- 58:49Speaker 7: Now it's costing them all this money to educate their child,
- 58:53Speaker 7: and I think that's unfair. And now you all have
- 58:56Speaker 7: this pressure that you all put on these students because
- 59:00Speaker 7: now you all are posting how much each student gills.
- 59:04Speaker 7: So now this boy, you tie the beg and your
- 59:06Speaker 7: friends and stuff like, I'm not hey, you want your
- 59:10Speaker 7: child to be you know, super super super kid and
- 59:13Speaker 7: all this here and your baby. Now I've had the
- 59:18Speaker 7: experience cause you know, look, you know people have their
- 59:21Speaker 7: little girl being girl Scouts and they come, hey.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Mister Steve, mister Harvey, Uncle Steve, all this here.
- 59:26Speaker 7: I'm buy a box of cookies from your baby, or
- 59:28Speaker 7: the whole box, not a box, give me a cart.
- 59:31Speaker 7: Now get your baby out my face. Okay, I'm bought, yeah,
- 59:36Speaker 7: twenty four boxes or the peanut butter cookies. The girl
- 59:40Speaker 7: scout cookies are good. They're not that damn good. Now,
- 59:42Speaker 7: come back, get your baby, get your fund raising. You know,
- 59:48Speaker 7: maybe your baby ain't gonna make this trip.
- 59:51Speaker 2: How about that your baby ain't going to the White House.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Obama ain't in there.
- 59:56Speaker 7: Nohow, So maybe your baby ain't going to the White
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: House to hear I never went to the White House.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: I turn out just fine. I'll be back with more.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: All right, yes you will. We'll have part two see
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Today's strawberry letter subject if it's in the house, it's mine.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Morning show.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: The subject is if it's in the house, it's mine.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Well, if it's in the house, is yours. Let's get
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: into it.
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: The fundraisers at the school, I feel are a bit
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: unrealistic and unfair to dump that because now you've put
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: an extra burden on the parents. I think that's too much.
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: And then all parents are under the pressure they child
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: and not looking good up at the school. But they
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: post how much each stop child gills. So now your
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: child and came home as a top earner. Now your
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: child was doing an annual fundraising.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Came home.
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: You didn't feel like big and your friends for the money.
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: So you done gave this boy six hundred and fifty
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: dollars cash to donate to the fundraising because I don't
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: have time to beg Then your child came home and
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: bragg to his daddy that he raised the most money. Well,
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: he didn't raise anything. And that's the misconception of the
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: where our part. I think that you all are hurting
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: the child. You didn't let him go dough to doll
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: You didn't let him go, you know, sell nothing. You
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: just gave the money. Okay, he didn't fill out nothing.
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: He didn't have to call his relatives or nothing like this.
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: Now this boy show up because you didn't feel like
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: begging with six point fifty, your husband looked kind of crazy.
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: So before Betty asked you how your child raised the
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: most money, I told him I got the money out
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: to safe under the bed. Then he tried to lecture
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: me about stealing money. I had to remind him that
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: was mine as mine as versus versa, and if it's
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: in the house's mind. Ah, yeah, I agree with what's
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: yours is yours and what's hers is hers, But then
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: at one point it's got to be both of y'alls.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: So now, if you're taking money out the house, that's
- 1:01:55Speaker 7: both our money you're taking out the house, you do
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: at least notify me. Hey, I'm gonna reach up under
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: this and I'm gonna give six fifty for this boy. Now,
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: he went on about supporting our child and leaving after
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: school activities and front raises up to me. And here
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: I told him that they leave all this stuff up
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: to me. He said, that's a mother's job. Well, it's
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: not a mother's job. It's a parent's position. You can't
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: dump that on the woman. Dog, that's ignorant. It's your
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: child too. How that's a woman's job. How's a woman's
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: job to raise money? Well, then it's your job to
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: raise money too, then, ain't it. Somebody got to get
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: the money. Wait, somebody got to make payments. So that
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: was unfair of him to say that to you. I
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: told him, that's exactly why I take whatever I need.
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: My husband hid the safe after that night, and why
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: does he act like I'm stealing from him? I know
- 1:02:45Speaker 7: I could have told him before I took that much money.
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: But what's the big deal. Well, that's exactly right. You
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: should have told him before you took that much money.
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: That's almost one thousand dollars. Now you sent your boy
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: to the school and he come home Brad and I
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: raised more money. He ain't raised nothing. So now you're
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: weakening the boy in and the position I think that
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: you're taking in this is wrong for your child, because
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: now you baby and the boy. I think the pressure
- 1:03:12Speaker 7: they put on y'all is a bunch of bull I
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: do that too, but I don't think it's about him
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: or I don't think it's about him not participating. I
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: think the husband should participate in this, but I don't
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: think you all have to participate to the point where
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: you're the number one contributed. I think that has to
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: be a compromise made on your husband's part. And then
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: I think if you had some help from your husband,
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: you wouldn't feel tired and fatigued about it and all
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: like this. But your husband has to get involved. He
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: can't blame it on you. If it's your job, and
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: if you're gonna make it her job, then she gonna
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: do it the way she want to do, and that's
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: reach up under the safe and get the money. Now
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: you're the here to say, I don't know when the
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: house you can hide a damn.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Safe, but I bet I can find it.
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: That garage, Oh here, it work here, work ain't gonna
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: have It's either in the garage or the basement.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Where are we going with this?
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: Because I'm gonna here if you if you saw that
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: hole in the wall in that plywood, I'm gonna hear that,
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: the sheet rock, I hear that, and then you got
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: the taping mud and taping bed and all that. I'm
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: gonna see that it's in there. So I just think
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: it's it's a lot going on wrong in this letter,
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: y'all to quit baby in that boy though he can't
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: beat the number one fundraise six hundred and fifty dollars,
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: where they.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Going a lot of money, and it is these days
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: what it is all y'all.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: Had, y'all kids. Surely I don't know how much I
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: can gave. Surely, baby, over the years, all this stuff
- 1:04:42Speaker 7: I had to do for sherity, and I don't know
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: what I had to do. Shuldn't Tasha had a couple
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: of little things happening while we're in.
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: There all the time.
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: It's just I buy a little box of cookies. You
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: don't kill you too late. I'm not helping your family.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: I could tell. Toma came in, you know, of the.
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: Day, talking about this little boy doing something with the
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: little leave. Tommy riches hell. I know, couldn't hear where
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: he wasn't talking.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: To me with his rich hask But that's part of it, right, Tommy.
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: Thomy got enough money to buy the damn baseball team.
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: I don't know why we talk the lead. Thomas started
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: a whole another lead. He damn this snoop. You can
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: start and leave all this money he got, not.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: But I won't.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: Did we just get a request from someone?
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: He just?
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Yah? Yeah, y'all ignored it.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: It was from you, Tommy. Yeah, didn't we just get
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: a request?
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: That's what he's talking about.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's why. And that's why she don't like
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: to ask her friends. That's one of the letter. Yeah,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: it's the pain, yea.
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: All.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you this is what I've learned. It
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: is hard for rich people to ask for money.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: It is.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: It is, boy, Because Lord have mercy they be looking.
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: Boy.
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: You remember when the Rock and opral to everybody talking
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: about the money they need to give you for my wife?
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: Who they lit them up. I said, well, I best
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: guess I won't be asking. Yeah, now I quit asking
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: for the Mintory Camps, Kip, But I just paid what
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: I'm paying.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: Half what I can have. It could go much better
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: because they ain't my kids.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: But damn, all right, I'm not trying to.
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: Raise money for my kids. I'm trying to raise money
- 1:06:24Speaker 7: for somebody else's kid. But they make you feel so
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: bad about it. Yeah, I just said, well, what the hell?

- 1:07:06Speaker 9: Yeah, Chris Morrison passed away uncle seventy two from stage
- 1:07:08Speaker 9: four throat cancer. He was diagnosed in twenty sixteen. And man,
- 1:07:13Speaker 9: so yeah, man, so uh you know, he covered the NFL.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Draft a lot.
- 1:07:18Speaker 9: He mocked drafts and everything else. He was really really,
- 1:07:22Speaker 9: really really good at what he did. Man, So we
- 1:07:24Speaker 9: we wanted to just send our condoses out to the
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: Mornson family. Also over the weekend, you know, we had
- 1:07:30Speaker 9: the NFL compound. But you know, Xavier Worthy set the
- 1:07:33Speaker 9: record in the forty yard dash. Man, boy was k
- 1:07:38Speaker 9: team two one? Well the record PHO two one.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: He made effort list too.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: Boy.
- 1:07:45Speaker 17: Yeah, Man, remember used to be to me he looked
- 1:07:52Speaker 17: like he was flying, looked like he was he was
- 1:07:57Speaker 17: good man, Taylor.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Tell me what you think you're forty? Time is right now?
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: What do you think right now?
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: God?
- 1:08:03Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Fixed something?
- 1:08:05Speaker 9: Yeah yeah, Julia, Yeah, I probably about a five five nine.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Push that really yeah, about to find out what It's
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: got to be faster than times.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: We know that.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Well, you know, you know, you know, Tommy pulled a
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: hamstring he didn't put on.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: He forgot what he was on. He forgot what you
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: got the hamstrain. Yeah, he do the hamstrain, but it
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: was after the race though.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: We had.
- 1:08:44Speaker 7: Right now, I'm probably running far in bout like I'll
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: probably get by like about like eight four.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: I'm not saying about five night.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I'm like i'd be down to about an eight four strong.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: Ass eight folk eight hours.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: I'll be down there. I'll be down there. I'll be
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: down there eventually. You're gonna think of running a honey.
- 1:09:06Speaker 9: So after you start, when you get down there, it's
- 1:09:10Speaker 9: gonna be you show.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Ten seconds.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Down there line. Yeah, but you're gonna be down there.
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: When I come out the blocks. That's when the problems start.
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: Ship right there, everything lock up. I'll be surprised if
- 1:09:32Speaker 7: I cross that forty line and my butthole is.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: Still in okay, right, I'm probably gonna have.
- 1:09:41Speaker 7: To blow that out to run a hard forty At least,
- 1:09:45Speaker 7: I'm gonna have to have a strong set of hemorrhoids.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Right after that, I'm gonna need the ice pack. Right
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: after that. I know that thing about to come out.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: No thing the sun.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: A woman on social media needs some advice, Steve, we'll
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening morning show.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: All right, Steve, This is from Terry and Steve HARVFM.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Terry says, I'm part of a group of business owners
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: and a few leaders of this group approached me about
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: running for Congress. They say they will back me and
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: help with fundraising. While the thought is intriguing, as I
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: have a lot of ideas on what a congresswoman should
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: be trying to accomplish. However, I have a past. It
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: remains in the past, but when I was much younger,
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: I did all the things stupid young adults do. Cheated
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: on my husband multiple times, to whom I am very
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: happily married to this day, occasionally party too hard and
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: to illegally, and so on. I am convinced, slash scared
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: that some of some or all of this will come out.
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: It's very far in my past, but if it comes
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: to light, I can't imagine the damage it would do
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: to my family. I have to put off the people
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: asking me to run. But to be fair, I'd love
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to run, and I think I would do a great job,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: but I'm so scared. My closet full of skeletons would
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: burst out into the open.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Waiting to come outside.
- 1:11:23Speaker 7: Some of my day times night man has always been
- 1:11:26Speaker 7: my biggest fear.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: You can't run.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: She can't.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: No, you can't run. But I just you can't run,
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: she asked me should.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I'm just surprised that you said that I can't run. Okay,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: go ahead too while.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: It didn't happen. Now, listen to me. You could run
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: if you my age, but she don't sound like she
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: my age. See you my age. You can run.
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: Cyberspace wasn't open back then. Most of my stuff people
- 1:11:57Speaker 7: will never know about it. And no pictures, with no internet,
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: with no camera, phones nothing. You have to bring a
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: roll up phone and if I snatched it out your
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: hand and stepped on, it was gone. I've had to
- 1:12:08Speaker 7: do that. So you wow, she can't run, man, she
- 1:12:13Speaker 7: came run. Oh I slapped you out. Oh that little
- 1:12:15Speaker 7: paper phone, I slapped that out your hands. Step on
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: in your minute because I can hear you taking the
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: clear clean.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: If you have a past, you can't run for she can.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: You have to be a person, that's what she came.
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: Run. Now.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: I know perfectly you ain't Donald Trump. You ain't white.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: White people can do.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: That, Donald, because tru the president.
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: You can do that.
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: You are white men with money can do that. Black
- 1:12:43Speaker 7: women with families. No, you see what they do in
- 1:12:47Speaker 7: the fanny. Your husband cannot take that, your children can't
- 1:12:51Speaker 7: take it. You ain't finna make no money being no
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: day in Connor's president. No way, this ain't even worth it.
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: Ain't damn the people or trying to help all the people.
- 1:13:04Speaker 7: You can't help your people and destroy yourself. In the meantime,
- 1:13:07Speaker 7: they gonna eat this woman up. And that's her fear.
- 1:13:10Speaker 7: You cannot lose your family and everything you've worked for
- 1:13:14Speaker 7: trying to be.
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: So what let them people run? Yeah, you would do
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: a good job and all like that.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: She wants to be of service to the people and.
- 1:13:28Speaker 7: Get nothing accomplished, has no congressman, no way too much
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: that way, Well, the Republicans don't shoot it down anyways.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: What you was.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: You're discouraged? You are I tell you what.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: Don't run run run.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, gon' run.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: You got at least try, I mean go ahead and try,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: go ahead. What if Obama had felt like that people
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: were encouraging him.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: He ain't got that kind of pass. What ain't when
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: he was fifteen?
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: That's for this.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: They tried to make something she parted way too hard.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: She said, she cheated on her hud several times.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: They're married.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: She said she will wild.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: She said illegally, yeah, illegally.
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: She got some issues. Man, I don't do this, lady,
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: but life up the junior.
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: Listen to junior ass Junior Jesse been up here all
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: upset because his ass ain't sending the cloth.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: What did you company him?
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: Well out with the movie role being Santa Claus. He
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: can't even work the press more. How many times you
- 1:14:49Speaker 7: have slept with all these men. You don't have to
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: press you, Finn, to be the junior.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Folks you're listening morning show. I got sorry to break
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: to you, but your name may be aging you. Okay.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Kids on TikTok say the names that were popular back
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: in the nineties and early two thousands are no longer cool,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: but even worse, they're considered old people names. Old people names.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Even young sounding names like Ashley, Britney and Derek are
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: now considered old. Don't even mention names like Nathaniel and Rodney,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: and David and Craig, and for the ladies, Nicole, Amanda, Yolanda,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: Rochelle and bridget those are all old people names. According
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: to the young people. So here's a question. Oh yeah,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: I know, and Anne has my middle name? Come on,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: thank you mom?
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: So what are some other old names? Guys?
- 1:15:52Speaker 13: Old Nameskelly Gus, that's old Patrick, Johnny.
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: Gerald, Thomas, hell yeah, Thomas old Tom Thomas anything, Tommy?
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Yes, yes it is Richid, Monica, Benjamin, Otis Willie. All right,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: come on at thirty three minutes, actually the hour, we'll
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: play another round him.
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: Around?
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: Hi?
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Would you rather it right after this? You're listening.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Morning show.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: It's time now for a round it? Would you rather?
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Would you rather see your future or change your past?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Which one?
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: The hell with the past?
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: Come over there. We didn't done that to change it,
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: damn thing.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Yeah, so you want to see your future?
- 1:17:04Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: We would you want to know the date you were
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: going to die?
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: No?
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Sometimes?
- 1:17:10Speaker 16: Yeah?
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: Listening to who talking? That's a good question, know, yeah?
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: Or would you rather know?
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: How?
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: No?
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: I ain't got no help. I don't want to date?
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Been here?
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: What again?
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: Next week I'll be sitting up been here so damn because.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: Oh hell.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Well, today is the day last show up? Nice working
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: with you.
- 1:17:41Speaker 10: I've been to die, but we got to the date
- 1:17:43Speaker 10: I've been a word, had one more? Oh, he couldn't
- 1:17:53Speaker 10: make it.
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: He got on out of here, didn't he?
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: Anybody seen Steve. I'll be somewhere trying to avoid that.
- 1:18:02Speaker 8: Damn.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Maybe you can't run or ide from it.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Would you rather none of your friends like your spouse
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: or none of your friends none of your spouse's friends
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: like you? Okay, none of your spouse.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: Putting all that on my wife.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I tell you, they don't like you, Okay.
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: I can't sit around them, no way.
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: So what.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Would you rather constantly itch or be in constant pain
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: one day a year one day?
- 1:18:38Speaker 10: Would you rather year that one day a year, but
- 1:18:41Speaker 10: they're just walking around itching all day looking nasty?
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: Well, tell me to be scratching all the.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Oyster ride just paying one day a year, okay. Would
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: you rather always always tell the truth but people distrust
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: everything you say? Or would you rather always lie and
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: people trust and believe everything you say?
- 1:19:13Speaker 8: Me?
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: That's it, I know you guys say that will work
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: for me. Yeah, that will work for you. Believe a lie.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Would you rather always be stressed but busy or would
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: you rather always be bored? Stressed and busy or always bored?
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: Well, the problem with bord is you ain't got nothing
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: going on to be real stressed in a minute, because
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: the first of the month is coming.
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: Is here?
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: All right, thanks guys. That's today's round of would you rather?
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Coming up at forty nine minutes after our last break
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: of the day, and we'll close out the show with
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening morning,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: all right, Steve. Here we are last break of the
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: day on this Tuesday.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: Hey, I have some closing remarks.
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: I was kind of joking around and fooling with Junior
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: today and I just wanted to say something really really
- 1:20:14Speaker 7: serious about it too, because you know, look, everybody has.
- 1:20:20Speaker 7: Everybody that I know is on a quest for success.
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: The majority of people I know they want two things
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: to happen in their life. They want to be successful
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: and they want to be happy. Those are mostly the
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: people I know. Now, if you live your life on
- 1:20:37Speaker 7: that Internet, you will introduce yourself to a whole set
- 1:20:41Speaker 7: of other people who are in this world to hate,
- 1:20:44Speaker 7: to be miserable, and to let you know how miserable
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: they are. They gonna make sure you're miserable too. Because
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: one thing I've learned and the Internet has taught me, well,
- 1:20:53Speaker 7: hurt people hurt people, and that's why you see so
- 1:20:57Speaker 7: much of it. And it's just a lot of people
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: out there that's hurting in this world, and their idea
- 1:21:02Speaker 7: is to make you hurt too. Well, that's something doctor
- 1:21:06Speaker 7: Field taught me a long time ago. He said, blowing
- 1:21:09Speaker 7: my candle out don't make yours brighter. It's just that
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: the average person don't understand that. So, like I was
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: starting this thing by saying that most people I know
- 1:21:20Speaker 7: want to be successful, and most people I know want
- 1:21:23Speaker 7: to be happy. In your quest for that, prepare yourself
- 1:21:28Speaker 7: for a series of disappointments, because in the disappointment happens
- 1:21:36Speaker 7: to be where all of your lessons lie. I just
- 1:21:40Speaker 7: don't know any other way to explain it. Every disappointment
- 1:21:45Speaker 7: I've had in my life. As I pulled back the disappointment,
- 1:21:50Speaker 7: there is a valuable lesson I have to learn in that.
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: You know what, when something doesn't go your way, you
- 1:21:59Speaker 7: have an opportunity to grow. Because here's what I do.
- 1:22:03Speaker 7: When something doesn't go my way, I immediately figure out
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: what role did I play in this? Was I not prepared?
- 1:22:14Speaker 7: What decision could I have made to have possibly bought
- 1:22:16Speaker 7: about a different decision. How could I have turned this
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: no into a yes? Why did they tell me no?
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: Was it something I did, something I said, something I
- 1:22:29Speaker 7: didn't provide. That's how you grow in life. You are
- 1:22:34Speaker 7: not going to get through this thing called life without disappointments.
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: It is a part of the process. And I'm gonna
- 1:22:43Speaker 7: tell you something else too. On your way to being
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: successful and and happy, you're going to have more knows
- 1:22:50Speaker 7: than yeses.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: That's just the deal of it.
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: There is something else, statistics, and I don't have the
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: exact number, but the numbers are roundabout Michael Jordan, who
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: has been arguably called the greatest basketball player of all time,
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: has taken nine hundred and forty some game winning shots.
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: He's had the ball in his time in his hand
- 1:23:17Speaker 7: nine hundred sometimes for the game winner. He has made
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: one hundred and forty six of them. That's a lot
- 1:23:26Speaker 7: of misses, man, that's a lot of missus. But they
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: don't write about your missus. They write about the ones
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: that went in. They write stories and take pictures and
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: make headlines about the game winning shot. Michael Jordan against
- 1:23:44Speaker 7: Utah when Brian Russell or whatever his name was was
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: checking him and he sort of pushed off with his
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: hand and stepped back and shot that for the game
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: winner to win the series against Utah. He missed some
- 1:23:57Speaker 7: shots that game. He didn't make all of them, but
- 1:24:00Speaker 7: you know the one they wrote the story about. They
- 1:24:02Speaker 7: wrote the story about the game winner. That's what they
- 1:24:07Speaker 7: write about. I've had a lot of shows canceled in
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: my life, you know the ones they write about, the
- 1:24:17Speaker 7: ones that I'll get awards for, the ones that was hits.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: I've had.
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: More shows canceled, and I've pitched more shows in Hollywood
- 1:24:30Speaker 7: that never will see the light of day that I
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: have had actual shows on TV. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:24:40Speaker 7: I probably in Hollywood. I've probably been and this is
- 1:24:43Speaker 7: not exaggerating, I've been in at least one hundred and
- 1:24:47Speaker 7: twenty pitch meetings, if not more. Out of those one
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: hundred and twenty pitch meetings, personal shows that I've created,
- 1:24:55Speaker 7: you know how mean that those shows made it to
- 1:24:57Speaker 7: TV six one hundred and twenty pitch meetings I can
- 1:25:05Speaker 7: tell I connect. Steve Harvey's Big Time was a show
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: that I created. The return of Showtime at Apollo was
- 1:25:12Speaker 7: my idea little Big Shots was an idea I came
- 1:25:16Speaker 7: up with. The Judge Show was an idea I came
- 1:25:20Speaker 7: up with, and really the two other shows I came
- 1:25:26Speaker 7: in with shows that other people ended up on.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: I have maybe six shows.
- 1:25:31Speaker 7: Of the one hundred and twenty pitch meetings I've been to,
- 1:25:35Speaker 7: they didn't write none of y'all about them one hundred
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: and fourteen knows, but they wrote about the six that
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: made it.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: You will have far more.
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: Disappointments than you will wins, but enjoy the wins, celebrate
- 1:25:51Speaker 7: the victories. Realize, man, that all of that was a process.
- 1:25:56Speaker 7: And every time they told me no at a pitch meeting,
- 1:25:58Speaker 7: I fixed it in repair, added and shaped it and
- 1:26:01Speaker 7: redid it and went back in there with something that
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: they couldn't say no to. So, man, prepare yourself for
- 1:26:10Speaker 7: a series of disappointments, but celebrate the winds and the victories.
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: And every time somebody tells you no, that moves you
- 1:26:18Speaker 7: one step closer to the yes. Just gonna have to
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: get on a lot of steps before you get to yes.
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: Those are my closing remarks. Happy Monday, Junior, pick your
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: head up, Hey, Merry Christmas, have a great day.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: Talk to God. He loved to hear from you.
