- 0:01Speaker 1: I think Trump's gonna have a willing dance partner because
- 0:04Speaker 1: I think Mom Donnie's going to be seeing this as
- 0:06Speaker 1: a way to enhance his own national profile. He wants
- 0:08Speaker 1: to be the one to take on Trump. The problem
- 0:10Speaker 1: is some of the money that might dry up, Trump
- 0:13Speaker 1: has a real opportunity. There is some money that's discretionary
- 0:15Speaker 1: Trump can cut it. There is some money that's required
- 0:18Speaker 1: that he can't. And there's other dollars that are probably
- 0:20Speaker 1: politically sensitive when you start thinking about the congressional races
- 0:24Speaker 1: that rely on New York funding, and I'm sure some
- 0:26Speaker 1: of the members here in the suburbs don't want New
- 0:28Speaker 1: York to use that much funding.
- 0:29Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.

- 2:52Speaker 3: seven Morning Update and it starts.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Right now story number one.
- 2:56Speaker 3: As it is seven am right now in Jerusalem, where
- 2:59Speaker 3: I'm doing this show from. It is well after midnight
- 3:03Speaker 3: in America. And what you're waking up to is a
- 3:07Speaker 3: big Democratic win. But let's be clear, it was wins
- 3:11Speaker 3: and places that Democrats almost always win. They are going
- 3:16Speaker 3: to spend this in the media is this was a
- 3:17Speaker 3: bloodbath and a referendum on Donald Trump. I want to
- 3:21Speaker 3: be clear. I think that is an exaggeration and not
- 3:25Speaker 3: even close to reality. So we are going to go
- 3:29Speaker 3: for you state by state so you understand exactly what
- 3:32Speaker 3: was happening. You understand, Yes, I would have loved for
- 3:36Speaker 3: us to win in places like Virginia, in New Jersey,
- 3:39Speaker 3: in New York City, or Proposition fifty in California. But
- 3:44Speaker 3: Democrats spent incredible amounts of money in places like Virginia,
- 3:48Speaker 3: and there are issues that had a huge impact on
- 3:51Speaker 3: election day. So let's start in Virginia as I break
- 3:56Speaker 3: down the reality of what you need to know and
- 3:58Speaker 3: why I am not that concern about what this means
- 4:02Speaker 3: for the midterms coming up. Virginia was a very interesting
- 4:07Speaker 3: race in general. You had a strong Democratic candidate that
- 4:12Speaker 3: probably at the end of the day will have outspent
- 4:14Speaker 3: the Republican side three to one. You had incredible amounts
- 4:18Speaker 3: of outside money coming from outside of Virginia from the
- 4:22Speaker 3: Democratic Party who was desperate for a win. The Virginia
- 4:26Speaker 3: governor's race was spamburger. There it was clear the entire
- 4:29Speaker 3: Democratic Party had united with an essence unlimited funding to
- 4:34Speaker 3: say we have a big win. You may also hear, well,
- 4:38Speaker 3: this is huge because a Republican is the governor now
- 4:41Speaker 3: and they're rejecting Donald Trump, and that's when they moved
- 4:43Speaker 3: to the Democratic Party. One of the things you need
- 4:46Speaker 3: to remember about Virginia is at the last time, when
- 4:49Speaker 3: Governor Youngkin was on the ballot. It was a perfect storm.
- 4:53Speaker 3: You had a well funded candidate in Governor Youngkin. You
- 4:57Speaker 3: also had two incredible issues that turn that state to
- 5:01Speaker 3: the Republican Party. One of them was the shocking moment
- 5:05Speaker 3: that we found out that the public school systems in
- 5:08Speaker 3: Louden County had covered up a boy dressing like a
- 5:13Speaker 3: girl going into a women's restroom and sexually assaulting a child.
- 5:19Speaker 3: We found out that that child was not actually dealt
- 5:22Speaker 3: with the right way by the school system. Instead, they
- 5:26Speaker 3: just moved that boy to another school where he did
- 5:30Speaker 3: the same thing again in a bathroom. What made this
- 5:34Speaker 3: even more of a shock for the people that were
- 5:37Speaker 3: voting in Virginia last time when Younkin was running is
- 5:40Speaker 3: that the school board didn't listen to the father who
- 5:45Speaker 3: called him out and then had him arrested, all caught
- 5:48Speaker 3: on TV. This was a flashpoint in Virginia. And you
- 5:52Speaker 3: also had something else that happened in Virginia during that time.
- 5:56Speaker 3: The Democratic candidate who was running against Glenn Youngkin said
- 6:00Speaker 3: that your children are not actually yours, but the state
- 6:04Speaker 3: in essence owned by the government. That made for a
- 6:08Speaker 3: perfect storm and for Governor Younkin to get his job.
- 6:13Speaker 3: We didn't have that this time. In fact, we had
- 6:15Speaker 3: a perfect storm for Democrats as a shut down the
- 6:19Speaker 3: government on purpose. And they noticed that the government shut
- 6:22Speaker 3: down was playing to their advantage in Virginia. Why because
- 6:26Speaker 3: Virginia has a disproportionately high number of workers who are
- 6:30Speaker 3: government workers that aren't receiving a paycheck right now compared
- 6:34Speaker 3: to many other states. It's proximity to Washington, d C.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Is a perfect example of that. And they understood that
- 6:40Speaker 3: if they could keep the government shut down until election day,
- 6:44Speaker 3: it was probably going to play well for them on
- 6:47Speaker 3: election night. That is exactly what happened. You also have
- 6:52Speaker 3: to understand just how liberal Virginia really is at its core.
- 6:56Speaker 3: You had a candidate on the ballot there that had
- 6:58Speaker 3: been busted in his own words in a text message
- 7:01Speaker 3: chain calling for the assassination the death of a former
- 7:06Speaker 3: Republican Speaker of the House in Virginia. Not only that,
- 7:11Speaker 3: he sends time for them to feel pain, referring to
- 7:15Speaker 3: the children of that elected official, saying they should also
- 7:18Speaker 3: be murdered. Not a single Democrat in a major part
- 7:22Speaker 3: of the Democratic Party condemned these comments, and that candidate
- 7:28Speaker 3: in Virginia also won last night, which brings me to
- 7:33Speaker 3: the overall perspective on Virginia. What I've loved for Republicans
- 7:38Speaker 3: to win this race. Yes, do I feel like this
- 7:40Speaker 3: was a race that is a referendum on Donald Trump
- 7:43Speaker 3: or a terrifying moment of what's to come during the midterms. No,
- 7:49Speaker 3: So let's move to New Jersey. New Jersey is a
- 7:52Speaker 3: little bit different. The New Jersey race there was one
- 7:56Speaker 3: that many conservatives thought was a real chance for us
- 7:59Speaker 3: to win a governor's race in a liberal state. Unfortunately,
- 8:05Speaker 3: it didn't work out that way. In fact, it wasn't
- 8:09Speaker 3: even as close as many believed it was going to be. Again,
- 8:13Speaker 3: this goes back to simple politics in math. Virginia and
- 8:18Speaker 3: New Jersey are liberal states. New Jersey even more liberal.
- 8:22Speaker 3: You could argue them Virginia, this is not surprising if
- 8:26Speaker 3: you look at the history of voting in New Jersey.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I think it's pretty clear in New Jersey as well,
- 8:32Speaker 3: where there are a lot of government workers, that the
- 8:34Speaker 3: shutdown had a big impact for Cheryl to win over
- 8:39Speaker 3: at Kettrinelli. This wasn't a close race, fifty six to
- 8:43Speaker 3: forty three. As the numbers are coming in at ninety
- 8:45Speaker 3: five percent reporting right now, it was a beatdown. So
- 8:49Speaker 3: then you moved to New York City, Mundanni, it is
- 8:52Speaker 3: official now it is a communist red apple. Comrade Mundanni
- 8:57Speaker 3: won overwhelmingly there. And even if the Republican spoiler would
- 9:02Speaker 3: have dropped out someone who I called to drop out
- 9:04Speaker 3: on national TV, and even if you gave all of
- 9:08Speaker 3: the Republican votes to governor former Governor Cuomo, it still
- 9:12Speaker 3: would have not meant there was a victory. What is
- 9:16Speaker 3: obvious about New York City is one of the most
- 9:18Speaker 3: radical left cities in America. Who now as a communist
- 9:24Speaker 3: running the city, a man who said he wanted to
- 9:26Speaker 3: abolish the police, believe the police are is evil and
- 9:30Speaker 3: also said that if Bibi Netna who came to New York,
- 9:33Speaker 3: he would have him arrested. So this is the reality
- 9:37Speaker 3: of the situation. Democrats had three places where they were
- 9:41Speaker 3: supposed to win, and Democrats had incredible amount of money
- 9:45Speaker 3: coming in to win and shut down the entire federal
- 9:49Speaker 3: government to make sure they got the win. Finally, we
- 9:54Speaker 3: looked to California. No surprise there. Jerry Mandering is real
- 9:59Speaker 3: and it has been for decades. But what California has
- 10:02Speaker 3: now done is said that even though almost forty percent
- 10:05Speaker 3: of the state is Republican, ninety percent of its representation
- 10:09Speaker 3: will be Democrat. They've redrawn the lines to add five
- 10:12Speaker 3: Democratic seats, which will have an impact on Congress. And
- 10:16Speaker 3: it passed in the liberal state of California. So what
- 10:20Speaker 3: is the takeaway California is saying to Republicans, get out,
- 10:24Speaker 3: move leave, you will not be represented here. We can't
- 10:29Speaker 3: stand you, we can't stand what you believe in, we
- 10:32Speaker 3: cannot stand your values. And the liberal woke ideology has
- 10:37Speaker 3: totally infected the brains of the Democratic movement and the
- 10:41Speaker 3: voters in California. It's a really sad moment for the
- 10:45Speaker 3: country to see this type of gerrymandering play out. So
- 10:49Speaker 3: what is the takeaway from election in America? You had
- 10:52Speaker 3: a communist when in New York City, Democrats having a
- 10:56Speaker 3: big night, in Virginia, New Jersey, New York and Democrats,
- 11:00Speaker 3: that's jerry mandering in California. Am I concerned that this
- 11:04Speaker 3: is a foreshadow of what's going to come on the
- 11:07Speaker 3: election night during the mid terms? I am not. I
- 11:11Speaker 3: think these are all places where Democrats were supposed to
- 11:14Speaker 3: win Democrats are inspired to raise money at record levels
- 11:17Speaker 3: and give at record levels from outside of these states
- 11:21Speaker 3: to make sure that they got the victories. They also
- 11:25Speaker 3: shut down the federal government to get these victories. Could
- 11:28Speaker 3: you do that and have the same results nationwide? The
- 11:31Speaker 3: answer is obvious no. So am I concerned? Sure? I
- 11:36Speaker 3: would have loved for Republicans to have a big win somewhere.
- 11:40Speaker 3: But does this mean that this is a total disaster
- 11:43Speaker 3: and is a referendum on Donald Trump? No, it's not.
- 11:47Speaker 3: And it's clear with Donald Trump's approval rating going up
- 11:52Speaker 3: during this government shutdown, that he still has a mandate
- 11:55Speaker 3: from the American people to make America great again. That
- 11:59Speaker 3: is the ultimate takeaway from election Night in America.
