  I'm thinking today of Genesis 17 .1. It says,

  Now, when Abraham was 99 years old, the Lord

  appeared to Abraham and said to him, I am God

  Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless. Well,

  there's a few things in this verse that we can
• 0:18
  see. And the first one is that God has high expectations
• 0:22
  of us or of any person that believes in God.

  Abraham was waiting on the way of salvation that
• 0:27
  God would make. He was believing in the promised
• 0:30
  line of the Lord. And just as we also believe
• 0:33
  in Jesus, and therefore God has high expectations
• 0:36
  from us that we would do the right thing. When
• 0:38
  you know what the right thing is, do the right
• 0:41
  thing. Notice also that God is willing to tarry
• 0:44
  with a man. That Abraham was just a human, and
• 0:47
  he had faith in God, and his faith was counted
• 0:49
  to him for righteousness. And it works about
• 0:51
  the same way for us, because it's Jesus Christ's
• 0:53
  righteousness that saves. Jesus Christ's righteousness
• 0:56
  that God sees when he looks at us, assuming that
• 0:58
  we've allowed the salvation that Jesus procured
• 1:00
  for us to be ours, that he paid the price for
• 1:04
  our sins. Next, notice that Abraham was 99 years
• 1:07
  old. This basically means that at any time that
• 1:09
  a person loves the Lord, believes in the Lord,
• 1:12
  and is willing to follow the Lord, that they
• 1:13
  can be saved and they can follow God, whether
• 1:15
  they have a day left or a year left or decades
• 1:18
  left or a hundred years left. So choose God,
• 1:21
  choose Jesus, choose to follow the Lord the best
• 1:23
  you know how. Trust that God is going to take
• 1:25
  care of the problem of your righteousness through
• 1:27
  his son, Jesus Christ. God bless you today.
