- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall will come minding everybody y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on dig me now, one and all it Steve
- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show man. Oh man, ain't god good? Yeah? Yes, hey,
- 2:16Speaker 1: you know I want to remind everybody today, uh that
- 2:19Speaker 1: you got to keep pressing forward. Man. I know it
- 2:22Speaker 1: gets difficult out there sometimes, but you got to keep
- 2:25Speaker 1: pressing forward. There's nothing else for you to do. The
- 2:29Speaker 1: option of quitting, turning back, giving up it cannot be there.
- 2:34Speaker 1: The thoughts can pop into your head, but when they do,
- 2:37Speaker 1: you got to pray about it. But you got to
- 2:40Speaker 1: keep pressing forward. You got to keep it moving, man.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I don't care how dark and dirty it get for you.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You got to somehow summing it up within you to
- 2:50Speaker 1: keep it moving, to keep pressing forward, because the only
- 2:53Speaker 1: way you're gonna get it is you got to stay
- 2:55Speaker 1: in the race. You know, you've heard it said a
- 2:57Speaker 1: thousand times. The race isn't given to this with but
- 3:00Speaker 1: to him that didn't do it to the end. You
- 3:02Speaker 1: got to stay with it whatever it is. But I
- 3:04Speaker 1: don't know what it is for you. But whatever it is,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you got to stay with it. Because Quentin, Quentin, don't Quentin,
- 3:12Speaker 1: don't let you see the end result, give it up.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Don't let you see the end results, turning back, don't
- 3:17Speaker 1: let you see the end. The only way to see
- 3:19Speaker 1: the end results is you got to finish the race.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You got to stay in the race because the victory
- 3:24Speaker 1: may be nearer than it seems. There's a poem I
- 3:27Speaker 1: learned in college under some stressful situations, I just said
- 3:31Speaker 1: like that. There is a stanza in this poem called
- 3:34Speaker 1: don't Quit that says, often the goal is nearer than
- 3:39Speaker 1: it seems to a faint and a faltering man, And
- 3:44Speaker 1: often the struggler has given up when he might have
- 3:48Speaker 1: captured the victor's cup, and he learns too late, when
- 3:53Speaker 1: the night came down, how close he was to the
- 3:57Speaker 1: golden crown. Now that's just a stanza in it. The
- 4:01Speaker 1: poem is much longer than that. I know the whole
- 4:03Speaker 1: thing because I learned it. But I've always remembered that
- 4:08Speaker 1: poem that the the goal is often nearer than it
- 4:13Speaker 1: seems to a faint and a faltering man. And oftentimes
- 4:19Speaker 1: the struggler has given up when he might have captured
- 4:24Speaker 1: the victor's cup, but then he learns too late, when
- 4:27Speaker 1: the night came down, how close he was to the
- 4:31Speaker 1: golden crown. And there's a last stands of the poem
- 4:34Speaker 1: says it may be near when it seems a far,
- 4:38Speaker 1: so stick to the fight when your hardest hit. It's
- 4:42Speaker 1: when things seem worse that you mustn't quit. That that
- 4:46Speaker 1: poem is really doesn't It's an unknown author to the poem,
- 4:50Speaker 1: so if you want to look it up, it's called
- 4:52Speaker 1: don't Quit. The author is unknown. They never knew who
- 4:56Speaker 1: it was. But you know, I'm talking to you today
- 5:00Speaker 1: from the standpoint of encouragement. I want I want to
- 5:02Speaker 1: show you an analogy that I tripped on this morning
- 5:05Speaker 1: when I was thinking about something I wanted, and I
- 5:11Speaker 1: was thinking, you know, okay, if you have a job,
- 5:15Speaker 1: the way you have to do your job, your job
- 5:17Speaker 1: forces you to do this, so you can't just randomly
- 5:19Speaker 1: do this on your job. A job forces you to
- 5:22Speaker 1: plan ahead a little bit. You know. A job requires
- 5:27Speaker 1: that you go through the procedures in order for something
- 5:30Speaker 1: to happen that you want to happen. Example, you want
- 5:34Speaker 1: a vacation, you have to put in for that vacation,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and that's what it's called on your job, just put in.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You may dress it up some other way, but the
- 5:43Speaker 1: common sense you have to put in. You gotta do
- 5:48Speaker 1: that because the job requires that. You got to put
- 5:50Speaker 1: in for your vacation. If you want a promotion and
- 5:54Speaker 1: you see it post it somewhere that we are now
- 5:58Speaker 1: have a position opening, you got to put in for that.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You just can't sit back and hope they pick you,
- 6:05Speaker 1: because they're probably going to pick the person who wants it,
- 6:08Speaker 1: who shows the initiative to go get it. So you
- 6:11Speaker 1: have to put in for a promotion on a lot
- 6:13Speaker 1: of jobs. If you want some days off, a couple
- 6:18Speaker 1: of days here, a couple of days there, you got
- 6:21Speaker 1: to put in for that. But all of these are
- 6:24Speaker 1: things that you want. You want vacations, you want a
- 6:26Speaker 1: day off here, and now you want some promotions. If
- 6:30Speaker 1: you want to raise, you have to go in and
- 6:34Speaker 1: request a raise. It requires an action on your part
- 6:40Speaker 1: on your job. And guess what, we've all accepted this
- 6:44Speaker 1: as this is the way it's done. You want to raise,
- 6:46Speaker 1: you have to put in for a raise. You want
- 6:48Speaker 1: to raise, you gotta go in and have a meeting
- 6:49Speaker 1: and take a recourse so you can show your value
- 6:52Speaker 1: to get to raise. You want a vacation time, you
- 6:54Speaker 1: got to put in for that, and then they got
- 6:56Speaker 1: they could tell you your name. You want a promotion,
- 6:58Speaker 1: same thing, want some days all the same thing. Okay,
- 7:02Speaker 1: that's to deal with your job. Well, that's to deal
- 7:04Speaker 1: with your life too. That exact picture that I paint
- 7:08Speaker 1: it for you that you're all so very much aware
- 7:10Speaker 1: of that. You're very crystal clear on the rules and
- 7:12Speaker 1: regulations that you have no problem following them, the same
- 7:15Speaker 1: rules for your life. What you mean by that, Steve,
- 7:17Speaker 1: you got to put in with God. You got to
- 7:21Speaker 1: put in for what you want with God all you
- 7:26Speaker 1: and it's as simple as that you put in. See,
- 7:31Speaker 1: you know you want some more of this, some more
- 7:33Speaker 1: that you got to put in with God. You put
- 7:36Speaker 1: in with your job. You gonna under asked that man
- 7:38Speaker 1: what you want and you ain't got no problem following
- 7:41Speaker 1: the rules. Well, put in with God what you want
- 7:45Speaker 1: or your list? What's your request? What? What? What? What?
- 7:49Speaker 1: What do you really want? How much money are you
- 7:51Speaker 1: really trying to make? What are you really trying to live?
- 7:54Speaker 1: What kind of career and job would you really like
- 7:56Speaker 1: to have? What kind of person would you really like
- 7:59Speaker 1: to be? What type of family are you hoping and
- 8:03Speaker 1: wishing for? Who is the person you want in your life?
- 8:06Speaker 1: What type of person do you wants? The relationship you're
- 8:08Speaker 1: looking for? What you want, you got to put in
- 8:11Speaker 1: for that. You got to put in. You got to
- 8:13Speaker 1: go to God and put in for that. See, we'll
- 8:15Speaker 1: follow the rules set to us up, set ups up
- 8:18Speaker 1: and set up by us in a system. But we
- 8:21Speaker 1: are simple rules of putting in for your life. Man,
- 8:24Speaker 1: we don't even do that. I wish I would put
- 8:26Speaker 1: in for a job and not put in for God.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You gotta be kidding me. You think this man that
- 8:31Speaker 1: has this company has more to offer to you in
- 8:34Speaker 1: terms of vacation promos and raisors than God, God for
- 8:37Speaker 1: you for your life. Man, you keep putting too much
- 8:40Speaker 1: faith in Man. That's what's wrong with us. I show
- 8:43Speaker 1: hope he give me this rais. I'll show hop. I
- 8:45Speaker 1: don't even go to people with that. I go to
- 8:48Speaker 1: God about it. Then God touched the people's hearts. Then
- 8:52Speaker 1: when I walk in there, it's already done. That's how
- 8:56Speaker 1: you capture this thing, folks. It's not a magic trick.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's just a real simple understanding. Why would you not
- 9:04Speaker 1: put it in with God? If you're gonna put in
- 9:06Speaker 1: on your job? Don't make no sense Where you get
- 9:08Speaker 1: the job from? Why your job? Where your boss get
- 9:12Speaker 1: his position from? Why did this company come from? So
- 9:15Speaker 1: when you peel back to but now, they all make
- 9:17Speaker 1: a lot of sense, don't it. It really does. And
- 9:20Speaker 1: I'm just a common sense guy. You know. Look, I
- 9:21Speaker 1: don't have the education that a lot of people have,
- 9:24Speaker 1: but I gotta show show enough bunch of life experience. Though.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Oh I've been I've been getting smacked and knocked down
- 9:31Speaker 1: the majority of my life. Oh I may look good
- 9:34Speaker 1: to you now, did look like he got a shine
- 9:37Speaker 1: going on? And I am grateful to God for my life.
- 9:39Speaker 1: That I got now because it show ain't the one
- 9:41Speaker 1: I had. But I got news for you. It ain't
- 9:43Speaker 1: the one I thought I was gonna until I put
- 9:45Speaker 1: it in for. I ain't seen none of this until
- 9:48Speaker 1: I put in for And you know, after as I
- 9:51Speaker 1: saw it shaping informing, then I said, God, could that
- 9:54Speaker 1: really be happening? I wonder if you could make me this, Lord,
- 9:57Speaker 1: I was wondering, Men, could I really have a since
- 10:00Speaker 1: the Cave radio show? Lord, make it happen. If it's
- 10:03Speaker 1: in your wee are put in for? Put in for now.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'm working my tail off now because that's a part
- 10:10Speaker 1: of it. See. But then God tells you that too.
- 10:12Speaker 1: He says, faith without works is dead. I'm working my
- 10:15Speaker 1: behind off. But the big thing is I put in
- 10:20Speaker 1: for it. So I got a bunch of more stuff
- 10:23Speaker 1: that I'm put in for God. I can't tell y'all
- 10:25Speaker 1: what it is, but oh, Lord, have mercy. I'm in line.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I'm putting in for all the blessings that's due me.
- 10:35Speaker 1: If if there's a ray, if God's plassing out of
- 10:37Speaker 1: raising blessings, I'm lined up. He passing out of promotion,
- 10:41Speaker 1: He's gonna promote some more blessings. I'm lined up. He
- 10:44Speaker 1: want to send me on a bigger vacation. I'm lined up.
- 10:48Speaker 1: He passing out extra checks down at the job. I'm
- 10:51Speaker 1: lined up because I'm putting in Why don't you put into?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, talk to God. He loved hear from
- 10:57Speaker 1: you to say, good morning show, thadies and gentlemen. I
- 11:05Speaker 1: have your attention. Please. I'm going to need and require
- 11:09Speaker 1: a little bit of help this morning to produce this show,
- 11:12Speaker 1: as always, of course, but now so a little bit more.
- 11:17Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with me at all. I am suffering
- 11:23Speaker 1: from what I've called voice fatigue, and this is it,
- 11:28Speaker 1: and this is the best I got in them. It's
- 11:30Speaker 1: hurting me. Now giving you all, ladies and gentlemen, to
- 11:34Speaker 1: Steve Harving Morning Show. Begin. Oh it is something wrong
- 11:38Speaker 1: with you? All right? Good morning, Steve. Yeah, surely you
- 11:41Speaker 1: ain't got going on. Just say good morning, but calling
- 11:48Speaker 1: good morning crew. What's happening morning? Yeah? Yeah, we're gonna
- 11:55Speaker 1: have to talk about that. Jonathan. Yeah, what up? Steve
- 11:58Speaker 1: Howey watch out there now, King of Prinks, your third
- 12:01Speaker 1: top of them on it. Well, let's get after Junior.
- 12:07Speaker 1: This last day was yesterday of the derbs cleans. Junior,
- 12:13Speaker 1: how much weight did you lose? Total pounds? You could
- 12:20Speaker 1: see it too. Let me tell you what he did first.
- 12:26Speaker 1: He came to work. It had on a Blue Seals
- 12:29Speaker 1: sucker suit, white and Jordan's Air Force ones whatever they were.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You know. He had on a white sweater shirt up under.
- 12:38Speaker 1: As soon as you get to work. I've never seen
- 12:40Speaker 1: Junior do this. I'm walking down the hallway with him
- 12:42Speaker 1: and Brown. They got backpacks. They take the backpacks off
- 12:45Speaker 1: as soon as they take it back. But I never
- 12:46Speaker 1: seen Junior. Junior took a damn colde off, threw it
- 12:49Speaker 1: over the chair. Junior got on a little tight white
- 12:54Speaker 1: sweater v neck. I didn't never. I never knew Junior
- 12:58Speaker 1: had shoulders chess muscles. Junior walking up and seeing all
- 13:04Speaker 1: this hill, I said, wait, man, but he's been brand new,
- 13:08Speaker 1: and I think somebody, some of you have run into it.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You don't work with it every day. I noticed it.
- 13:13Speaker 1: It's not as much fun as I had with Fat Junior,
- 13:17Speaker 1: ju Junior, then Junior Junior. Hollywood, Oh my god. Well,
- 13:24Speaker 1: Fat Junior was about chicken, get chicken. He would go
- 13:28Speaker 1: get chicken, chicken. I did not come out with raw chicken.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Cook them right in the in the room, cook them
- 13:39Speaker 1: right there. But nothing Junior. And you know he Hollywood,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you bring up food? Has he said this? Shot at
- 13:51Speaker 1: and and he says it loader hurt you feeling like,
- 13:54Speaker 1: then let's get chicken. You know you can't here? How
- 13:59Speaker 1: about some frid Wow, you're done with fries, jor, I
- 14:07Speaker 1: eat different type of fries. Now they're baked. They're not
- 14:10Speaker 1: even potatoes. The hell eat baked friends, No more McDonald's.
- 14:17Speaker 1: What I don't. I'm re assessing my life, assessing because
- 14:21Speaker 1: you know he's getting he's getting having a big birthday
- 14:23Speaker 1: in July? Is it? Is it? What? No? No, no no,
- 14:32Speaker 1: I got some more stuff for you right after the break,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I tell you. But we'll be back with mo fact
- 14:37Speaker 1: Junior versus. I'll be back at thirty two after the hour.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's time for
- 14:48Speaker 1: something funny and Steve, before we left, you were going
- 14:50Speaker 1: to tell us we're talking about Junior. He's lost an
- 14:54Speaker 1: enormous amount of weight on the d herbs. Uh, total
- 14:58Speaker 1: body cleanse, full body cleanse. And you look great, Junior.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You're welcome. And I just say something real quick. He
- 15:05Speaker 1: knows it too. It goes from thirteen to fifteen eighteen.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Tomorrow it'll be twenty six pounds. It goes up like
- 15:13Speaker 1: every day. Yeah, it goes up like pounds probably by
- 15:20Speaker 1: Friday this week this week. Listen, how the number go up? Ahead,
- 15:27Speaker 1: come on, Steve, you're telling us about fat Junior, or
- 15:31Speaker 1: so I've noticed now, Like you know what I'm doing
- 15:36Speaker 1: my talk show, Junior normally to stand over there behind
- 15:40Speaker 1: the cameras to my far right, you know, with the
- 15:44Speaker 1: writers and all that stand over there. So you know,
- 15:49Speaker 1: sometimes like doing the show, on the commercial break, I
- 15:51Speaker 1: go to the rest room, which is backstage. I go backstage. Oh,
- 15:55Speaker 1: this week when you're in the back sitting on the
- 16:00Speaker 1: stool surrounded by girl, Oh, you posted up? Oh he's
- 16:05Speaker 1: about what's sitting on the stewl with his legs crossed.
- 16:08Speaker 1: That's called posted on the bos stood with his legs crossed,
- 16:14Speaker 1: wagging his legs. Okay, well let me ask you something.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Steve was fat Junior ever back there when you went there. Now,
- 16:22Speaker 1: so he has changed Shirley skinny Junior. It's amazing watching him,
- 16:30Speaker 1: how hard he'd be grinning in the girl's face. That's
- 16:34Speaker 1: Skinner Junior, right, yeah, Skinner Junior. You know you know
- 16:38Speaker 1: he used to try to stay out the way. You
- 16:43Speaker 1: could almost see a couple of self esteem issue. You know.
- 16:51Speaker 1: You know what that ju Junior run. You never stop
- 16:55Speaker 1: that Junior run. I'd be trotting down the hallway. He'll
- 17:04Speaker 1: be crossing his legs on the stud fact Junior couldn't
- 17:08Speaker 1: cross on those streep fell off. So what does Skinny
- 17:11Speaker 1: Junior saying to the ladies, Steve, you know, just back there,
- 17:14Speaker 1: just jokes. You know, he got Joe. He funny, so
- 17:17Speaker 1: you know they just be standing around, just be laughing.
- 17:21Speaker 1: The Emmy nomination has he mentioned? No, well you know
- 17:24Speaker 1: they all got em me. You know the whole show.
- 17:27Speaker 1: You can't he can't use that because that's the whole
- 17:31Speaker 1: show was nominated. So he can't use that. But be
- 17:34Speaker 1: back there and they y'all all be key king at
- 17:36Speaker 1: Junior Junior tell his joke. And then he laughed his
- 17:39Speaker 1: damn self stand up and run around. Oh man, that
- 17:47Speaker 1: type of smile where you see his whole all his teeth.
- 17:52Speaker 1: That he what my mom? You say, So you just
- 17:55Speaker 1: backed that back grind And that's that's when you bring
- 17:59Speaker 1: itself on showing them back the back of your that's how,
- 18:06Speaker 1: that's how, that's how cute she was. Wow, you even
- 18:13Speaker 1: talking different. I don't understand this Memorial weekend coming up. No, No,
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm working in Atlantic next. I don't know. You know,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I don't think he knew that that Junior knew what
- 18:30Speaker 1: he was gonna eat. This kid eat Junior. Did he
- 18:34Speaker 1: um like text you guys pictures of his meals and
- 18:36Speaker 1: stuff like, let us wraps and stuff like that, let
- 18:40Speaker 1: us talk. I got a lot of that from you,
- 18:43Speaker 1: he sh No, he didn't send that to me. You
- 18:46Speaker 1: didn't get the Oh, no, that he didn't know how
- 18:50Speaker 1: he was doing. I got all of that. He's the
- 18:54Speaker 1: one that gets me. He's green drink every day every Well,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you know, what, what is your life? First? I mean,
- 19:06Speaker 1: if I'm going down, if I'm gonna be a million,
- 19:08Speaker 1: and it's since being sick, Junior, I see you listening sick,
- 19:18Speaker 1: Junior asked me. One time. He said, Oh, they're being
- 19:21Speaker 1: here taking your blood, they're being him bringing you food,
- 19:25Speaker 1: they're packing your supplements. How about you all this cart,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I said, Junior, A guy talked this to me one time.
- 19:32Speaker 1: This guy makes about I guess he makes three million
- 19:36Speaker 1: a year. I guess, And he told me one time,
- 19:38Speaker 1: he said, oh, I spend tempercent of my income on
- 19:42Speaker 1: health minimal. So he said, he takes three hundred thousand
- 19:46Speaker 1: dollars a year that goes towards trainers, nutrition, stretchers, supplements,
- 19:53Speaker 1: all that stuff. I said, wow, you spend three hundred
- 19:56Speaker 1: thousand dollars a year. He says, Steve, that's not a
- 19:59Speaker 1: big number to you. So let me just ask you.
- 20:02Speaker 1: So you got the two most important things in your
- 20:06Speaker 1: life is your time and your health. You've always said that, right,
- 20:09Speaker 1: I said, right, he said, so why would you not
- 20:11Speaker 1: spend a portion of your money to stay healthy? He said,
- 20:15Speaker 1: temper cent of your income towards your health. So you
- 20:19Speaker 1: told Fat Junior that, and buddy nutritionist, Skinny Junior just
- 20:32Speaker 1: fed it back to me this money right, well Junior,
- 20:39Speaker 1: that's good. Your healthy it's important. Why does he whisper not? Well? Time?
- 20:48Speaker 1: Is not that? The fact that I talked like this
- 20:50Speaker 1: because I don't want to get my blood pressure up,
- 20:52Speaker 1: because I almost had that at Fat Junior. You don't
- 20:55Speaker 1: really it's not rush. It's not rush. I don't rush.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'll enjoyed this j from Houston. Who is that? Who
- 21:12Speaker 1: is that? You mean kind of green Jewish? Hey, I'm
- 21:16Speaker 1: Julia pig feet about a pound Jews. You're talking about him? Okay,
- 21:22Speaker 1: you know you have to enjoy life a little bit.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I mean, no ice cream anymore. No, I will always
- 21:28Speaker 1: have all. Kay, all right, you heard the model we
- 21:30Speaker 1: eat all. We came and we said all We're not
- 21:32Speaker 1: in it for prophets. Okay, I don't eat ice cream?
- 21:36Speaker 1: All right? Well, thank you, Skinny Jr. Coming on, Thank you,
- 21:40Speaker 1: thank you. Shirley, you're coming up, coming up next. You
- 21:43Speaker 1: know it's Monday. I know, right Whetown and Deacon Death
- 21:48Speaker 1: Jam they're in the building at right after this. If
- 21:53Speaker 1: you're listening to last night's Billboard Music Awards where Janet Jackson,
- 21:58Speaker 1: the one and Only received the Icon Award. But right
- 22:01Speaker 1: now it is time for the reverend and the Deacon.
- 22:04Speaker 1: They are here with church complaints. Wasn't wasn't really ready
- 22:15Speaker 1: for that. I don't wear anybody pass her hand, don't
- 22:19Speaker 1: have my regular deck or regular or Motown voice. Motown
- 22:26Speaker 1: have would win a little lord sony Empy Columbia on
- 22:30Speaker 1: him and really whoo his heads out. The best of
- 22:36Speaker 1: I can, but we are here again Calvary for church complaints.
- 22:41Speaker 1: But what is it, dear? I passed that the day
- 22:46Speaker 1: we have this, the Vera Jean Gladmore is finally getting
- 22:51Speaker 1: her beard cut. He has gotten tired of the members
- 22:55Speaker 1: calling her Deacon Vernon instead of Vera Pastor. He has
- 23:00Speaker 1: requesting five cases of magic shade to get the entire
- 23:03Speaker 1: beard off. I was thinking more of a fun raising
- 23:09Speaker 1: event with her. Oh, I was gonna put it in
- 23:15Speaker 1: a cage in the basement of the church and help
- 23:19Speaker 1: people pay two dollars to see the bearded lady. Well,
- 23:24Speaker 1: not that's that raised money for the building full at
- 23:30Speaker 1: the circus. Or we could have a black black or
- 23:36Speaker 1: like like doing car wash, right, have her at the
- 23:39Speaker 1: end behind a drape. Yeah, I can bring this up
- 23:45Speaker 1: to it, but she's really focusing on getting the magic saved,
- 23:48Speaker 1: only getting the beard out. But that's we'll run that
- 23:50Speaker 1: by first before we're spending money on the magic shape.
- 23:53Speaker 1: We're not gonna get a case. Well, now she needs
- 23:57Speaker 1: more than a case pass to get all that hell off. Well, see,
- 24:00Speaker 1: first you have to shave it down or enough you
- 24:03Speaker 1: didn you you magic, you don't put it over excuse me,
- 24:07Speaker 1: that's deacon. It's not nephew, it's beacon. M okay, getting together, Reverence.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Here's something that you need to know, Pastor. Our sister
- 24:22Speaker 1: Deaconda Jenkins and brother Lavon Terry Rivers scaredter to be
- 24:27Speaker 1: married in three weeks. Instead of you doing the wedding,
- 24:31Speaker 1: they are requesting Bishop Carry who just did the raw
- 24:34Speaker 1: wedding for Prince Harry and making Mircael. They won't him,
- 24:39Speaker 1: as well as third of men on hearts escorting him
- 24:42Speaker 1: to the reception as they ride in a carry. Well,
- 24:47Speaker 1: well will look like I won't be doing the wedding,
- 24:53Speaker 1: will will? I'm just saying this, good luck in getting
- 24:57Speaker 1: outside or help with this wind, you might can get
- 25:02Speaker 1: the preacher that did. Oh yeah, maybe Marco with man
- 25:06Speaker 1: you might be able to. I don't know him, but
- 25:08Speaker 1: you made you maybe a brutal train come up with
- 25:10Speaker 1: the necessary feet. But what you're not gonna have thirty
- 25:14Speaker 1: damn horses that I bet you don't have money for that?
- 25:22Speaker 1: All right? I passed the wearing on, Pastor, I listen,
- 25:25Speaker 1: beyondest say just about eight new thirty dogs? Don't nobody won't.
- 25:31Speaker 1: That's not elegant. That pastor. The elegance is when the
- 25:34Speaker 1: horses and elegance costs money, Deacon, and I understand, I'm
- 25:39Speaker 1: just telling you what they wanted, but they quit what
- 25:42Speaker 1: it was. Well quit um. Now listen Beyond just by
- 25:48Speaker 1: the church in New Orleans for eight hundred and fifty
- 25:50Speaker 1: thousand dollars. The members have had an emergency meeting and
- 25:55Speaker 1: want to put the j p j J up for
- 25:57Speaker 1: sale for a cool million. But they're also throwing you
- 26:02Speaker 1: in on the deal as well. If the sales. I'm
- 26:06Speaker 1: just letting you know, I'll be starting my own churches
- 26:08Speaker 1: with the money, and the members are going with me. Well,
- 26:12Speaker 1: let me light you to something. If they throw me
- 26:15Speaker 1: in the deal and pay the million, I'm gonna get
- 26:18Speaker 1: the million. They can clothed it. Raggs. You want to
- 26:24Speaker 1: wherever you want to. You let somebody pay a million
- 26:28Speaker 1: for this hell and see it on our ticket. All right, man,
- 26:32Speaker 1: I'm just saying we're gonna be calling Beyond Faith about
- 26:35Speaker 1: buying the church. I don't think Beyond gonna buy another one. Well,
- 26:41Speaker 1: some people have. You don't think it's think of something
- 26:43Speaker 1: around with having a chain of churches. Chain. You're trying
- 26:48Speaker 1: to act like we fast food. That's not what we are.
- 26:55Speaker 1: You can't franchise churches. They did it with the ticket,
- 27:00Speaker 1: but all right, we don't have chicken. I know, I know.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Here's something you need to know. Passing the trips. The
- 27:08Speaker 1: church ropes have now been converted with the pens in them.
- 27:15Speaker 1: The choir would be singing a marathon concert to raise
- 27:18Speaker 1: money for their summer trip to Jerusalem. Members are complaining.
- 27:23Speaker 1: They're saying, this concert is going to stink. It's up
- 27:26Speaker 1: to you to fix this one. Pass once again. Well,
- 27:31Speaker 1: I understand no need for the quad to have a
- 27:36Speaker 1: marathon concert. Do understand the application of the pens inside
- 27:42Speaker 1: of the route being? Now, how did they do? Do you?
- 27:46Speaker 1: Now you step into the road, You step into the road,
- 27:49Speaker 1: and you actually you're stepping into the the pen as
- 27:52Speaker 1: you right, right, right right, kind of like a jumper. Yeah,

- 35:09Speaker 1: maybe we need to look at limiting the entrance and
- 35:12Speaker 1: the exits into our schools. Patrick also blames abortion divorced
- 35:17Speaker 1: in violent video games. He says army teaches would be
- 35:19Speaker 1: a good thing too. On Capitol Hill, Republican lawmakers are

- 36:03Speaker 1: The Department of a Justice has announced its Inspector General
- 36:06Speaker 1: has been asked to expand his review of surveillance tactics
- 36:09Speaker 1: allegedly used on the Trump present presidential campaign. President Trump's
- 36:12Speaker 1: been asserting on Twitter that both the DOJ and the
- 36:15Speaker 1: FBI placed a confidential informant inside the Trump campaign. The
- 36:21Speaker 1: lava flow from the kill away of volcano now causing
- 36:23Speaker 1: air quality problems for the people on Hawaii is a
- 36:25Speaker 1: big island which is called Hawaii. Scientists say there's a

- 36:58Speaker 1: By the way, the Billboard War last night. Yes, Janet Jackson,
- 37:01Speaker 1: this is unbelievable to me. She became only the first
- 37:05Speaker 1: black woman to be given Billboard's Icon Award. I mean,
- 37:08Speaker 1: you know, Whitney Houston, Reatha Franklin, I mean jan nothing
- 37:12Speaker 1: taking nothing away from Jane. I love Janet, but just

- 37:45Speaker 1: Prince Harry Megan Marko made history a the Duke and
- 37:49Speaker 1: Duchess of Sussex or some someone said the Duke and
- 37:53Speaker 1: Duchess of success right. The royal wedding was transformative for
- 37:59Speaker 1: the British mona Chicago native, Bishop Curry stole the show.
- 38:03Speaker 1: The Duchess Megan Markle is very proud of She's a
- 38:06Speaker 1: very proud by racial woman. She's mentioned that several times,
- 38:09Speaker 1: and she included her culture and her heritage in the wedding.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Bishop Curry delivered a sermon talking about the power of love. Yeah,
- 38:18Speaker 1: he quoted Reverend Dr Martin Luther King. Here, take a listen.
- 38:21Speaker 1: The late Dr Martin Luther King once said in that quote,
- 38:27Speaker 1: we must discover the power of love, the redemptive power
- 38:32Speaker 1: of love. And when we do that, we will make
- 38:37Speaker 1: of this old world a new world. But love, love
- 38:44Speaker 1: is the only way there's power and love. Don't underestimate it.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Don't even over sentimentalizing. There's power power you love. If
- 39:02Speaker 1: you don't believe me, think about a time when you
- 39:06Speaker 1: first goll in love the whole world. Ye, a lot
- 39:15Speaker 1: of controversy about it. I mean, I thought it was
- 39:17Speaker 1: powerful about love gonna be long? No, he was not long.
- 39:22Speaker 1: He was right on town. What black path? You know?
- 39:24Speaker 1: He ever said, I wanted to sit down as I
- 39:27Speaker 1: take my seat, Yeah, one more moment. What do you
- 39:32Speaker 1: think we're talking about the power love? What do you think, Steve? Well,
- 39:37Speaker 1: you know, I mean that's what we do, don't you know?
- 39:41Speaker 1: I don't expect anything less. Yeah, you ain't. No, they
- 39:44Speaker 1: don't need to be a controversial about the man being
- 39:47Speaker 1: over there? Ain't nobody asked you all to go here?
- 39:49Speaker 1: He good. I thought he did an excellent Anybody ought
- 39:53Speaker 1: to be angry. Not being over there is me o. Hell,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I didn't get it again, have you seen one episode
- 40:02Speaker 1: of suits Shirlette? I don't know nobody in England's filmed
- 40:08Speaker 1: over here. No, I'm just I don't. I don't know Tom.
- 40:12Speaker 1: I just want to be apart and I wouldn't asked
- 40:14Speaker 1: to come. So it was a lot of controversy, Steve.
- 40:19Speaker 1: People were saying that Reverend Bishop Curry was too long,
- 40:22Speaker 1: that wasn't the place for his speech. He taught to
- 40:25Speaker 1: his sermon where he talked about slavery. He also mentioned
- 40:28Speaker 1: slavery he talked to you know, quoted Reverend Dr King,
- 40:32Speaker 1: but I thought it was Look it's it could have
- 40:38Speaker 1: been long. I don't know. I didn't see it. Here's
- 40:41Speaker 1: a deal. Here's a man who takes a major platform, stage,
- 40:47Speaker 1: world stage and gets to make some announcements. And that
- 40:51Speaker 1: love part was really for the bride. She's taken a
- 40:55Speaker 1: lot of heat for being by racial and marrying into
- 40:59Speaker 1: the All family. It's a lot of folks got problem
- 41:02Speaker 1: with Oh yeah, a lot of folks. So I think
- 41:06Speaker 1: he spoke to that and you gotta you gotta hit
- 41:08Speaker 1: him from all angles. I'm cool with it. And they
- 41:12Speaker 1: said he wasn't just talking to the people at the wedding,
- 41:14Speaker 1: he was speaking to the world. He really was. Okay,
- 41:21Speaker 1: hit us up please on all social media. I'm ignoring
- 41:24Speaker 1: what you just said, Jay, Steve Harvey FM comment. Okay,
- 41:29Speaker 1: take your comments, they're coming up in ten minutes. We
- 41:31Speaker 1: will continue this conversation on a history making royal wedding.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Right about thirty four after the hour you're listening to
- 41:38Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Social media and the world
- 41:42Speaker 1: is buzzing about the royal wedding. I thought it was
- 41:45Speaker 1: so beautiful. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry
- 41:47Speaker 1: and Megan Marco made history by including the British Kingdom
- 41:51Speaker 1: Gospel choir. Oh they saying, stand by me. Yeah, they
- 41:57Speaker 1: had a very talented royal wedding cellis there. He was
- 42:00Speaker 1: an awesome young man. I think he was what nineteen
- 42:03Speaker 1: years old? And who was a little boy in the
- 42:05Speaker 1: bat Yeah did you see that? Oh that was her
- 42:10Speaker 1: best friend's twins. Yeah, the one that was carrying her
- 42:16Speaker 1: train with her train, Yeah, that was her best friends.
- 42:19Speaker 1: She's a set of twins. That was one of them.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Plus they were talking about Bishop Michael Curry. Sermon, Steve,
- 42:24Speaker 1: you were saying, did you want to finish your point
- 42:26Speaker 1: about Bishop Curry? Now? I just thought it was cool.
- 42:28Speaker 1: You know a lot of people don't, you know, talking
- 42:30Speaker 1: about he was too long and all like this. He
- 42:32Speaker 1: might have been, but he took advantage of the stage
- 42:36Speaker 1: to make some statements to the world about Marl the King,
- 42:40Speaker 1: about love, about people, accepting people. Because this girl tend
- 42:44Speaker 1: took a lot of hits over that and her husband
- 42:47Speaker 1: and came to her defense. I mean, he you know,
- 42:50Speaker 1: you know, he really strong about it. But it was
- 42:52Speaker 1: a lot of people over there. The tabloid has been
- 42:55Speaker 1: eating her up about by Rachel. They talked about Mama
- 42:58Speaker 1: being a drag a lot when woman from the wrong
- 43:00Speaker 1: side of the tracks. Oh, they ain't done all this stuff.
- 43:05Speaker 1: You know. People called her mother her nanny, she really yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:10Speaker 1: she said she was a little girl people referred to
- 43:12Speaker 1: her mom. And she's heard people call her mom the
- 43:15Speaker 1: in word, and she's s some stuff and her mom's
- 43:19Speaker 1: very well educated. Prison and I hear all that right now.
- 43:26Speaker 1: And as they said in the medieval days, heads will roll,
- 43:32Speaker 1: the heads will roll over the head what would you
- 43:36Speaker 1: call it? Inward now by your head? See all of that. Yeah, yeah,
- 43:43Speaker 1: but it was. It was. It was a great um,
- 43:46Speaker 1: a great wedding. I mean so many people came out
- 43:48Speaker 1: to wish them well. I mean I didn't see anything.
- 43:51Speaker 1: And then a movie for that, like telling it was time,
- 43:55Speaker 1: Yeah on lifetime. How they met They met on a
- 43:58Speaker 1: blind date. All of that. Yeah, the stuff that she
- 44:02Speaker 1: you know, talked about ever showed up the blind for me?
- 44:06Speaker 1: Never never ugly was mom on a blind stop. One
- 44:17Speaker 1: of their friends set them up on a blind da
- 44:20Speaker 1: blind all the day, won't pass my date once j
- 44:26Speaker 1: I didn't even know it was for me. But it's
- 44:30Speaker 1: a great story. I'm happy. Yeah, it really is a
- 44:32Speaker 1: great story. And she's beautiful and I'm so happy for it.
- 44:36Speaker 1: And she's gonna i mean, she knows that the role
- 44:39Speaker 1: that she's taking on this. You know, she's a role
- 44:41Speaker 1: model for a lot of young black girls, you know
- 44:43Speaker 1: that look up to her. Now she knows, you know
- 44:46Speaker 1: what all the pressure and the responsibility that this has
- 44:50Speaker 1: she's taken. You know, no honeymoon. They're not going to
- 44:53Speaker 1: take a honeymoon. She wants to get started on her
- 44:55Speaker 1: royal duties right away, you know, Mo. But I mean
- 45:00Speaker 1: they're going to take one a little later, I think.
- 45:02Speaker 1: But yeah, she wanted to keep the because the press
- 45:05Speaker 1: is so on them right now. Honeymoon not right now? Yeah,
- 45:09Speaker 1: not right now, that's what they said. Right now. They'll
- 45:12Speaker 1: have a wedding night, Jay, that was a couple of
- 45:15Speaker 1: nights ago. Yeah, I'm sure they're good. Yeah, they have
- 45:20Speaker 1: a lifetime together, you think. And you know what, she
- 45:27Speaker 1: also broke tradition with them when they had the reception,
- 45:30Speaker 1: she gave a speech. Yeah, they said she was very
- 45:32Speaker 1: moved to thank the royal family for how they've welcomed her.
- 45:36Speaker 1: And been so kind to her mom and all of that.
- 45:38Speaker 1: So she gave a speech and usually they don't do that.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Over there. That's over there. Yeah, they have a picture
- 45:49Speaker 1: circulating on social media. When she was very young she
- 45:51Speaker 1: went to London. She took a picture, oh yeah, in
- 45:54Speaker 1: front of Sucking hand Palace. And now can you believed? Amen?
- 46:05Speaker 1: And so you're a little salty because you weren't invited again, Steve,
- 46:11Speaker 1: we're doing teeth sucking. You gotta meet some kings and queens. Man,
- 46:25Speaker 1: see what I'm saying perfectly? All right, NewView, Tommy has

- 56:44Speaker 1: going to wood Wind. I got to work. Blah blah blahlah. Okay,
- 56:48Speaker 1: you're not going right. You could have took the whole
- 56:51Speaker 1: set over there and have family feud with the royal family.
- 56:54Speaker 1: I don't know anyone who didn't want to go to
- 56:56Speaker 1: that wedding. Buggle up, hold on tight. We got it
- 56:58Speaker 1: for you here it is subject is he my kids
- 57:03Speaker 1: daddy or granddaddy? Dear Stephen Shirley As nephew Tommy would say,
- 57:08Speaker 1: buckle up and hold on tight. He just said it,
- 57:11Speaker 1: uh for for real this time. There's no easy way
- 57:14Speaker 1: to explain my situation. I am a twenty eight year
- 57:17Speaker 1: old married woman. I married my high school sweetheart and
- 57:20Speaker 1: we have six kids. But I'm not sure who my father,
- 57:23Speaker 1: who my kid's father is. Here's why. Ten years ago
- 57:27Speaker 1: I lost my parents in a bad accident, and living
- 57:30Speaker 1: without them was unbearable for me. I started drinking, partying,
- 57:34Speaker 1: and having sex all of the time with different men.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I was a mess. My boyfriend had no idea about
- 57:41Speaker 1: my secret sex life. One night, when I was drunk,
- 57:44Speaker 1: I went to my boyfriend's house looking for him and
- 57:47Speaker 1: ended up having sex with his father. His dad and
- 57:50Speaker 1: I had amazing sexual chemistry, so we continue to have
- 57:54Speaker 1: sex for years. I got pregnant with my first child,
- 57:57Speaker 1: and my boyfriend and I got married. Since I've been married,
- 58:01Speaker 1: I've only had sex with my husband and his dad.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I do not use protection with my husband, and I
- 58:07Speaker 1: do not use protection with his dad. Recently, my husband's
- 58:11Speaker 1: dad and I ended our affair because it was getting
- 58:14Speaker 1: harder to sneak around. I also stopped drinking and decided
- 58:17Speaker 1: to get my life together so I can be a
- 58:19Speaker 1: better wife and a great mom. But the first thing
- 58:22Speaker 1: I need to do is figure out who the daddy
- 58:25Speaker 1: of each of my kids. Who is the daddy of
- 58:28Speaker 1: each one of my kids? Is it my husband or
- 58:31Speaker 1: is it his father. I love my husband dearly and
- 58:34Speaker 1: I don't want to lose him. His love and support
- 58:36Speaker 1: got me through the worst part of my life. I
- 58:39Speaker 1: need to tell him about my affair with his dad,
- 58:41Speaker 1: and I need to get him to do a d
- 58:43Speaker 1: n A test. My kids deserve to know who their
- 58:46Speaker 1: dad is, right, But I don't want to ruin the
- 58:48Speaker 1: relationship that my husband has with his dad. So how
- 58:51Speaker 1: do I approach this? Please help? Well? Yeah, yeah, this
- 58:56Speaker 1: is one of those moments. Um, yeah, you're going to
- 59:00Speaker 1: in the relationship. I mean, no doubt about it. If
- 59:02Speaker 1: you tell the there's you're going to do that. I mean,
- 59:06Speaker 1: uh so, don't even I don't even know why you
- 59:08Speaker 1: put that in the letter, because that's definitely going to happen.
- 59:11Speaker 1: You know, I'm sorry that you lost your your parents,
- 59:14Speaker 1: your parents ten years ago. You know, that's why they
- 59:18Speaker 1: have counseling and stuff like that so people can work
- 59:20Speaker 1: on those kinds of issues and not use drinking and
- 59:23Speaker 1: sex and things like that to get through it. That's
- 59:26Speaker 1: what you did, That's what happened. This is really crazy. Um,
- 59:29Speaker 1: I'm glad you've changed your life around, but boy, have
- 59:33Speaker 1: you left just a trail of mess behind, just a trail.
- 59:37Speaker 1: What I don't understand is why you kept sleeping with
- 59:40Speaker 1: both of them, both your dad his dad and your husband,
- 59:44Speaker 1: the dad's son. Why why did you keep doing it
- 59:46Speaker 1: for so long? You said you did it for years,
- 59:49Speaker 1: and why were you doing it with no protection? Because
- 59:52Speaker 1: you know when you do it with no protection, you
- 59:54Speaker 1: can get pregnant or get a disease. Or something. I mean,
- 59:57Speaker 1: that was just dumb. U. I don't think you should tell.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: I just don't. I mean, you know, there there are times,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: you know, when when this applies, and I just think
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: there's one of them. I just think this is a
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: secret you're going to have to take to your grave,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: because there's no way if you do tell, you're not
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: going to ruin their relationship. This is just because of
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: your past behavior. This is just one of those burdens
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: you have to carry, and you got to carry it
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: to your grave as far as I'm concerned, Steve, First
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: of all, system you've made a series of bad mistakes
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: and you just got to eat him. But now this
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: moment that you're having in this letter, I need to
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: tell him talking about your husband. I love my husband
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: dearly and I don't want to lose him. His love
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: and support got me through the worst part of my life.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: I need to tell him about my affair with his dad,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: and I need him to get him to do a
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: DNA test. My kids deserve to know who their dad is, right,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: But I don't want to ruin a relationship that my
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: husband has with his dad. So how do I approach this?
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Please help? Uh? There's nothing to approach here. You've made
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: a series of mistakes, horrible mistakes. You're not the only
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: one to blame here. This man's your husband's father, has
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: a world of responsibility to bear up under this. How
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: could you do this to your son? That's a big
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: issue too, How could you do this to your son? See,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: now here's the messed up part. You the only want
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: getting everything you want, young lady, you're the only one
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: getting everything you want. You got your husband, you got
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: your fair, you got your kids, you got all this.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Now you ain't saying you ain't had no troubles in
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: your life. You have, but you've come hounded him with
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: some other decisions too. But now and then the father
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: in law, this man you have an affair with. He
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: getting everything he won't. He got grandkids, he got his son,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: he got his daughter in law, he got a chick
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: on the side, he cool. That's trifling. So you and
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: him have been the only ones getting exactly what you
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: knew you were getting. Let's look at the lives who
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: don't know what they was getting. Your kids don't know
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: who they dog on daddy is not really But then
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: it's really not a question for them right now, because
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: they're just assuming that's my daddy. If you take that
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: from them, what have you done? This ain't the time
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: to run your mouth. This is the one time Chillon
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: and got this straight. No, really, really, you've always recommended
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: telling the truth, and you saying live a lie, and
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: this is when you have to live the lot because
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: she's destroying families if she does. It's okay. Surely you've
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: always said you should tell the truth. It's okay you
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: have that's what you're here. Now you change it on
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: this week? You here though, you hear what you're wanting here,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: that's what you say. Sh surely this is my turn
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: with your letter. Don't w name, keep my name out
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: your mouth. It's the Strawberry Letter. We'll be back, guess
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: we will with part two if Steve's responds at three
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: after the hour. You're listening to Steve harw Alright, Steve,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: come on with part two of your response to today's
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters. Subject is he my kids daddy or granddaddy? Now,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: this is the Strawberry Letter. I've been asked by my
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: co host to keep her name out of my mouth.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I'm finding that increasingly difficult to do. But let's just
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: reiterate this. Twenty one year old married woman married to
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: a high school sweetheart, got six kids. Ten years ago,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: she lost my parents in a bad accident. She started
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: drinking the health sex with all kinds of men. One
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: time she went over to the house looking for a boyfriend,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: he wasn't there. She winded up having sex with his daddy.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: They've continued to have this affair even though they've gotten married.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: She has always kept an affair going with the with
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: her husband's father. Now she got six kids and she
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: don't know whose kids they are, so she wants to
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: go have a DNA test, so she wants to stop drinking.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: She stopped drinking and decided to get her life together
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: so she can be a better wife and a great mom.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: She said, But the first thing I need to do
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: is figure out who is the daddy of each one
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: of my kids. Is it my husband or is it
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: his father. I love my husband deally and I don't
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: want to lose him. You're about to His love and
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: support got me through the worst part of my life,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: and this is how you repay. I need to tell
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: him about my affair with his dad, and I need
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: him to go get to a DNA test. You're gonna
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: go tell your husband about your affair you've been having
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: with his daddy. Now, I just told you you're gonna
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: ruin these kids live because these kids only know your
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: husband as they dad and they know Grandpa as their grandfather.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: You're gonna go in there and rearrange that, but you
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: don't want to lose your husband. This is exactly how
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: you lose your husband. You're running out, running your mouth
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: with disinformation right here. The best thing you could do
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: is stop seeing his old man, ask God for forgiveness
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: and going to get your life together. If you do
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: decide to go in there and tell, which will be
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: the dumbest thing you can do. You're going to ruin
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: the kids lives. Your husband his father's son relationship will
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: be damaged, possibly beyond repair. Your life will suffer because
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: you won't have this husband anymore. Then you won't have
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: their fair You had it with and I got something
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: else you haven't thought of. Your relationship with your children
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: could be damaged by this because when they get old
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: and finally figure out what it is you did, that's
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: gonna be a tough one. So you're talking at this
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: point doesn't make any sense to me at all. None.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: And once again I'm gonna say this though my co
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: host has gotten it right by telling you to stand
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: down and shut your mouth, which goes against normally. See
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: I have I have promoted lying since we got on.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: This shows the biggest promoter of truth telling been my
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: co host. I have told her sometimes the real in
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: me and lie. It's because if we know the truth
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: ain't gonna go good, we will give you a lie.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: In state. This is one of those situations where the
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: truth ain't gonna go good. There's no good can come
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: out to agree nothing. And finally I got her to
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: understand why line is necessary. Yeah you can't. He'll destroy
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: everything and everyone shouldn't have been written. Yeah you don't
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: kind of document. But she's feeling guilty. That's what she's feeling,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: all kinds of guilty since she's changed her Yeah, she's
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: That's one thing she's gonna have to do. She may
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: need therapy after all, you know, to deal with all
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: of this, because she's dealt with a lot. When you
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: do tell them, do the kids say granddaddy, daddy? Everyone?
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: So is your brother really your niece or you? What
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: do I call a kid, what the kids going through them? If?
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Now I was gonna say something reasonable, Oh, okay, technically
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: the kids will always be brother and sister because they
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: share the same mother. Yea, so technically they always be
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: brothers sister. Now, if you get rid of the technicality,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: here we go. They're gonna have a damn problem because
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: somebody over there is gonna have to be somebody. One
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: of them bars is gonna be over and one of
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: them girls gonna be somebody on But all of this
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: their cousins. You sign out, your hand's gonna have to
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: be the niece to bring any he has to get
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the leader roll call at the family union, gonna have
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: a lot of people standing up with the same damn
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: tight and you can have multiple titles in this family.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: When all the sons of Walter stand up, now, when
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: all the sons of Walter Junior staying, now, let me
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: ask y'all this hell anybody that's Walter senior cousins, Now,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: we're the same people stand up for Walter Junior. Lord,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: this is a mess. Yeah, it messages the tree up
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: on the T shirt. Yeah, well I treat tree got
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: access in now. Walter Junior sent a message this year,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: and he will not be attending the Family Union because
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: he just can't do you. Alright, Steve, we gotta get
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: out of here. Email us at Strawberry Letter, my girl
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Shirley or and you can join me this Thursday at
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: one thirty pm for the Strawberry Letter Live after show
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: on Facebook coming up in about ten minutes. Time to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: get serious. New York Governor Cuomo tweeted an open letter
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: to President Trump to do something and protect our children
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: against the school gun violence. Oh MG, right after this,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: we'll talk about it. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: All right, Steve. This past Friday, there was another school
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: shooting in Santa Fe High School in Texas, which is
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: about thirty miles outside of Houston. Uh. The gunman was
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: a seventeen year old student. He used his father's shotgun
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: and a thirty eight caliber revolver. He opened fire in
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: a Texas high school classroom, killing at least ten people,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: eight students and two teachers, wounded several others. New York
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: City Governor Andrew Cuomo took to Twitter, demanding that President
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Trump do something. In all caps uh. Cuomo wrote an
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: open letter calling on President Trump, the House of Representatives
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: and the Senate to take action. When is enough enough?
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Your first responsibility is to the people of this country,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: not the n r A. Do something. Many of the
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: survivors and activists from Parkland, Florida, offered prayers and support
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: to the students of Santa Fe High School. That whole
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: community there. One of the outspoken activist, David Hogg, we
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: remember him. Uh, He tweeted, get ready for two weeks
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: of media coverage of politicians acting like they give a
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: sugar honey iced tea when in reality, uh, they just
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: want to boost their approval ratings before midterms. Also, Houston
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: Texans star and hero to the Houston community, J J. Watt,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: has offered to pay for the funeral for victims, and
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: yesterday on CNN, Texas Lieutenant Governor uh Dan Patrick says
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: that we need to arm teachers. That's what he said.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: I need to get rid of the guns. As has
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Trump responded at all? Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, he's not
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: going to teachers don't need guns. That's just some more guns. Yes, yes,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: teachers don't need guns and taking them away from the
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: classroom to learn how to use them. Stuff like that. Yeah. No,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: teachers did not come into teaching to be armed guards.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: I'm sorry, man, when you sign up for that job
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: and he come with that check, it don't it don't
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: include shootings. Man, nobody signs up for that. I don't.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I don't understand why we we look. We keep talking
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: about every solution except the one. How do we get
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: rid of so many guns? What laws could we pass
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: to prohibit the sale? What laws could we pass for
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: possession of guns? Most people you find with guns is
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: too damn late. Yeah, So that's the problem that we have.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: And and it doesn't matter if it's an assault rifle,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: a handgun on a shotgun. We need gun laws, not
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: not assault rifle laws. We need gun laws, effective gun laws.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: No one has more gun violence in it as a
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: nation than the United States. No one has more in
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: a larger prison population than the United States. No one. Now,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: something's wrong there, Something is horribly wrong there. No society
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: police department kills more black people than in the United States.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Something is wrong here. Something has to be addressed. And
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: it's some real basic things that we have to address,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: like racism, because black lives matter. Also also, it's not
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: that anybody is saying that black lives matter more because
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: we already understand that's obviously not the case. So no
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: one is saying when they say it black lives matter,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: they just failed to put also on it or two
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: just so we could say that all lives matter. We
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: just want ours to matter like everybody else. Yeah, and
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: and they know that. But you know, since if we
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: have to put two on there or you know some
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: and like that, then let's do it. But they surely, surely,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: surely they don't know because they are the professionals of
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: spinning everything. They spin it to make it what they
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: needed to be. Callin Kampennick, Callen Kaepernick is out of
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: work today because they spun it on him. The NFL
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: players don't feel anymore because they successfully spun it. Yeah,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: these shootings in schools, they spend those shootings and killings
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: so they can keep the money alive. They now, the
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: n i A, they they church mouths quiet on this one.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Costs wasn't there was assault rifle? Right, it was a
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: shotgun in a thirty eight caliber, right, So the n
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: A they quiet on this one. Yeah, we got to
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: be on that. The President to send his condolences, but
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: the president is expected to do more. But to expect
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: more from this president, it takes a lot, because I
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: don't know that he has more. I think that our
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: president is who he is, and I think he's shown
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: us who he is time and time again, and we
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: keep expecting more and it's not coming from him. He
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: doesn't have an understanding of what anybody feels like, who
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: may be oppressed on any level, whether it's sexual preference,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: whether it's having a choice to have a baby or not,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: whether it's the ranks of poverty, whether it's trying to
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: find a way of life in this country, crossing the border,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: whether it is black people in this country trying to
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: survive with the skin that we all have. He has
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: no understanding of what any of that is because he
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: comes from the world of white privileged men. All of
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: his hires are white privileged men. He don't hire nothing else.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: They ain't been an African American considered for nothing up there,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: or Latino considered for nothing up there. He's hiring white
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: men at an alarming rate, and he don't give a
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: damn if their good white men are not. He just
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: hied white men and every and then they just gotta go.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: When you find out they ain't work for them, They
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: got to go. His world has never encompassed blacks, Latinos
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: or anybody else or women. The women in his life
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: have been objects. The female there is the female though.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: The CIA, now this is a number of political move
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: We're gonna elect a woman to head the CIA. Well
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: after being paid off Stormy and had to playboy bunny
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: in your house? Yeah, how did now all? Don't nobody
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to see this trick move? Right here? I do trick
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: move with more Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Show. Well, folks were lined
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: up in the streets of Windsor to see the history
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: making royal wedding of Prince Harry and making Marko now
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. And it appeared to
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: be a lot of walking, a lot a lot of
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: walking at the ceremony and the reception. We saw celebrities walking,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: uh Serena Williams, oprah Idris Elba, David and Victoria Beckham,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Georgie and the Maal Clooney. So jay um that things different?
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: How did you what did you looked at all in
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: people standing and walking and walking and standing, standing and walking,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: walking and stand. Huh, And I just thought about one thing.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Beats was hurting yesterday. Cobble stones ain't nice. I've been
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: to London. Cobble stones ain't nice to feed. You'll go
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: through somethinghen you'll feed hurt uneven and it's never both
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: shoes at one, my right one right about that left.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: Don't never get me no problems. You can't even be
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: nice when you feed her. That that that interrupts you
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: being nice. Good day, good day in my hast, I
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: gotta go out. I never understand it that when guys
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: say they're feed her, oh my god, you got a flat. No,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: But sometimes when they've been right in that that look
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: being on the shop doing family Feud season, which is
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: in full swing right now. Yeah, my feet. At the
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: end of the day, I'll be doing Are you serious?
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: But yeah, because I stand up the whole time standing. Yeah,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: but you're having flats though. It seems like, yeah, they
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: wouldn't bother you with flat the heels to me, yea
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: full show you got on heels. Man. You know, women
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: do something that men never say. Men never say we're
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: breaking them in. We never say that you have to
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: break him in. But we never say we're breaking in.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: We never say we're breaking Yeah. Yeah, you never have
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: a hit of feet hurt so bad you head hurt.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Pop down at the foot, down at the foot. Let
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: me tell you, jake, huh. You know when you didn't
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: get to the end of shoes you get that shoe
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: that curve at the bottom. Yes, it wasn't the name
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: of that shoot like older man where you know it's curfect. No,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: from a curve up, curves up and back. Elf shoes,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: that's what it sounds like to me, say, elf shoes. Girl,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: You probably let me pass to some kind of right
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: you got that? Ain't nobody heard being up at the front?
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Does it have a bill to pull it? We didn't
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: seen him about it. Yes, that's what shoes. Doesn't have
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: a little bell on it at the tone? What are
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: you here at the house? Tell me come outside to
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: make y'all think he's something else? But you talk about
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: house at the chateau. Yeah, they're normally green? Are they green?
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: No talking? If they're not ill shoe, you're talking about nome? Shoot,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: these nomes the traveler no travel And you know that's
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: what he patted his whole traveler all his tickets come
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: off that This is true moment. Man. I'm telling y'all
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: we didn't come across something. I didn't know what you
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: Rockford rock board make the help you confused? Ja, Yes,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: there ain't no rock poort. They don't go to the
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: front end, go to the bass curve. The whole soul
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: is like earth sip. He talking about orthopedic shoes doesn't
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: have bell grow on it. Tommy, the time you hear
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: your uncle calling you, Yes, what you're describing out? What
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: is it? Tell us what sh it out? What is it?
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Elevated sho that's what half your heel be down in
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: the shoe and the rest of it be out. That's it.
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: It's got a lift on the inside of the hill. Yeah,
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: the ones should be wearing one. I don't have. I
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: know you left talking up for some reason. Nothing sexy
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: about that ship. Nothing sexy about that ship. I don't
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: care what color up to send it to your stay. Okay?
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: Is it just me when he said curved at the top, Hello,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: that's what you wear at the house. I don't know
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: how y'all missing this right here, I've seen it. Now.
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: He's trying to send us a picture of a rock.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: But what do you describe kill the keebler elves time
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: and make cookies and the shoes because you know he
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: loves the cook staves to cook. I'm kim Tommy. But
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: time you walk, not only did you walk into it,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: you set it up. Yeah, he wants it too, it
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: with his little elf. I did not say nothing about
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: no dog curve at the front. And we just figured
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: that that's the only shot. Because Tommy Jay were talking
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: about feet hurting. Here's talking about the roadway and you
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: went to the I turned it, I understand, saying something
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: about y'all know what up talking about? Now, okay, we
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: could turn it back. Things that go you go through
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: when you feed her. Yeah. So you out on your
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: tight shoes, all right, and they're killing you. The president
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: telling and your fired can ask you something. No man,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: has your feet ever hurt so bad that it made
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: you constantat get all the way up there? Oh how
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: about you need to understand that when your feet hurt
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: so damn bad, they didn't run all up the back
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: of your thighs would locks your book? You need prune you. No,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: it ain't nothing going you is locked man? Alright, coming
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after the hour. You, guys, turn
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: your phones off at night or you could be depressed.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Uh huh, I got turn it off. We'll talk about
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: it right after this. You're listening to show. Turn your
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: phones off, guys at ten p m. All right, everybody
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: here me Steve, turn your phones off, yea at ten
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: p m. This is because a new study is found
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: that using your phone after ten at night can cause
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: depression and it can cause loneliness. Okay, yeah, w y
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: D what you're doing. Researchers say that people who constantly
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: checked their social media throughout the night are more likely
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: to be anxious and depressed. Okay. Basically, constantly looking at
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: your phone during the night messes with your sleep, and
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: poor sleep, of course, leads to a lousy mood. So
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: turn off your phone, tommy and get some sleep. Okay,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: this is for you. That might have been fat skinny
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: junion my phone. What you're doing? Usually he's taking selfies
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: though of himself. I'm making phone calls. It can I
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: just checked my phone to see if we're still here.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: It's never just been blown up or anything. It might
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: be ready to be te See, why don't you turn
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: your phone off. No, I can't turn my phone off.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: My wife travels, I got kids out of state, the city,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: my kids travel. I can't turn my cat because Marjorie's
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: not answering her phone at all. She doesn't answer her phone.
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Oh hell no, it could be downstair man man, my
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: wife phone could be anywhere. She didn't walk off and
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: leave it. I got the kids know, like they didn't
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: have their calls breakdown in the middle of the night.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: They didn't call him, call him. Then they know they
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: didn't call it daddy. Daddy got their phone on. I
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: can't turn my phone. Does any time you get a
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: phone call from me, kids, and it's about it involves money,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: and they have the nine o'clock his money for my kids.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: It's gonna be about. Don't have to be about at night.
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: It could be any time of the day. W y
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: d y. Yeah, you think I'm doing it, but something
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: I don't respond, And I know what that means. That's
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: a leading. It usually starts up. You know, I don't
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: bother you much. No, I never had that. I get
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: known't bother you much, and I don't ask for much.
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: I know you bid, but don't much add it? What
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: do you get. What are some of the calls you
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: get to see from your kids? The biggest Texas is
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: Lorian Winton. They text me bating his body. Very rarely
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: get a text from my oldest son for Jason, first
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: is w y d. Now, why are you texting me that?
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: Because I'm working? How's your day? And look do you
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: want dad? Don't be so blunt. I'm having a conversation
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: with you. No, you're not. You're texting me. This is
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: not a conversation to them. It is though, Steve. Two kids,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: they love to text. That's that's how they Yeah, that's
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: how they can. Wish I could read this tree. I
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: wonder if I could do this with Laurie. Don't do it.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: I've gotten this so much. Why are you telling my business?
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: If you can take money from the joke, you can
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: be the joke. I get my family understanding. We'll be
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Harvey Morning Show. The history
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: making royal wedding was Yeah, it was Saturday. Prince Harry
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: married Megan Markel and now they are the Duke and
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Duchess of Sussex, Sussex, England, I guess there was no
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: shortage of special moments from the A listers in attendance.
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: There was George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Victoria and David. Yes.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: What did you see the outfit and ear rings Oprah
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Winfrey had, Yeah, damn mouth the first thing. Mardrey said,
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Wait a minute, hold up, will you look at her
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: damn ear rings? State look at her ear rings? Shut
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: it down, Oprah shut it down. Yeah. She had a
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: Stella McCartney dress designed her dress. Oprah had one dress.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: It was baige, but it came out to white, so
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: she didn't want to wear that because you don't wear
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: white to weddings. So Stella McCarty he made her address
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: in like a couple of days and that's what she
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: wore too. But you didn't see it. I didn't. I
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: didn't see it. You need to google the prince jacket,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: Steve jacket. I saw his jacket straight. He was so
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: he was so black that he was Yeah, he was.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: When he walked up the stairs to the chapel, everything
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: you would think it was a brother, you know what?
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: And more people watched the wedding that will admit to
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: watch especially watch You Want Guys do a Yeah it
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: was great. Yeah, you know she looked beautiful. Yeah, she
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: had the hat since two thousand five, but she just
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: referished put some new feathers on it and stuff. Yeah,
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: everybody was so clean, and you know who else was there,
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: It's just l but Fce yes looking so dapper, looking
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: so dapper, Yeah, Sabrina. Yeah, but it was great. I
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: mean it really was. Yeah. I was absolutely stunned. They
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: didn't ask me to do you know? You know, Megan Marcos,
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: you don't know them. Have you ever watched an episode
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: of Suits? Do you know the Queen? Do you know
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: Prince Harry? But you're still surprised Stone, Prince Charles never
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: made it, but the Queen, you know, the Queen, Prince Philip?
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Maybe Prince Philip. Oh no, nobody live in London, PRIs Car.
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: We're gonna get you some princess. But you're still stunned. Paul,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: the fresh Prince of bel Air, wouldn't I be Damn?
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: What would you have? Warren Steve, Let's just me and
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: the Prive would have been battened the groom, Oh girl,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: how to found out what he would win? And that
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Jack jacket. You don't see that jacket and just wapped
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: meat Tuesday. Watch then that jacket out so quick, man.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: But it was a great It was such a beautiful
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: ceremony when I watched. All right, we'll be back with
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's closing remarks. Get ready, get ready, get ready.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: We'll be back at forty nine after the hour you're
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: listening to Steve show. All right, here we are, last
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: break of the day. Steve take us home with some
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: enlightenment and some closing remarks. You know, one of the
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: things I think is important for people to keep their
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: mind on and can always be conscious of. I've especially tried,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: didn't and and burid this in my children. But like
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: all of us, my children no different from your children.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Sometimes they get it, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they're here later,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: but it will register eventually. But uh, I wish somebody
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: had given it to me early and helped me really
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: really understand the importance of this right here. The things
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: that you do today and every day will determine your future.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: The things that you do today and every day will
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: determine your future. The mistake I was making as a
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: young man was I didn't understand how to lay all
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: the groundwork I needed to lay in order to become successful.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: I just didn't, you know, you know, I flunked out
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: of school. I didn't I didn't understand, uh, how to
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: set goals and dreams. I didn't know anything about writing
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: my visions down. Uh. I did not know fully, nor
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: did I really comprehend how the things that I was
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: doing on a daily basis back then would affect my future.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: I just didn't see it. I guess one of the
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: reasons I didn't see it was because, like so many
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: of you and myself, we didn't see what our life
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: had to do with fifteen twenty years from now. It's
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: sort of funny because you haven't gotten to the fifteen
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: twenty year mark, you don't know anything about really setting
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: goals at high All of it is here, and I
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: just didn't at the time that I didn't make enough preparation.
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: I did not lay enough foundation to be as successful
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: as I could have been earlier. So what I tried
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: to impart uple people is to remember this now, that
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: the things you do today and every day will determine
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: your future. All these frivulous days, you keep having these
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: things that you think it won't matter. I'm just young. Look,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: I'm young. What you want you know? If you keep
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: using youth, that's your excuse. That will be your excuse
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: when you get old. I was young back then, I
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: didn't know no better. Well at one point in time,
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: you gotta stop being young and you gotta start knowing
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: better because that excuse is only gonna be good for you.
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: If you want to explain your failure as a person,
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: then all you gotta do is just keep on talking
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: like that because I got that you don't didn't know then,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: but you know now. But what I'm trying to get
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: more people to do is to know now what you'll
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: be talking about later on. If I only knew then
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: what I know now. What I'm trying to get you
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: to start thinking about it now because everything you do,
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: the things you do today and every day, will determine
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: your future, because your future is coming. And often said, man,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: we just spend too much time wasting time on frivolous things.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: What really does really? What is happy? I would do?
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: It's just a celebration for being off work. It don't
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: put you in line to accomplish much of nothing. How
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: many business network things you can went to out a
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: bar that was really business network. Really, there's a bunch
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: of people standing around in the same predicament you in,
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: wanting to accomplish the same things you want to accomplish,
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: but needing somebody is to get it done. But you're
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: all in there needing something. Man. I can't tell you
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: how many times I've wasted moments of youth pursuing something
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: that had no value to it. Looking back on it,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: if I had really understood that the things you do
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: today and every day would determine your future, I would
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: have been a little bit more serious about my day
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: to day. But I wasn't. I just wasn't, and I
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: paid for that, and it cost me in my thirties.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, Man, my thirties was miserable. Ah, Man,
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: my thirties was. I was in a pain. Man, I
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: was in a pain. But I bought it all on myself.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: So I spent all of my thirties fixing what I
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: should have been doing in my twenties. And I spent
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: all of my forties getting it together the way that
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: I should have been doing in my thirties. I looked
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: up one day and I was fifty, and I said, man,
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: I gotta get it together for real, and that's how
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: it had happens. So just remember this you all, all
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: the things that you're doing today and every day, it
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: will determine your future. And know this the future it's coming.
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: It may very well get here. All right, Keep that
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: in mind. Those are my closing remarks. And drop it, baby,
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: drop it. Drop You might go to a raw way
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: and pretty soon, boy, I dropped it the first time.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: I threw it down a second. Thank you. Well, y'all
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: have a great weekend. Well let me say this, we
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: will because it's gonna be Memorial Day weekend. Man, I've
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: really got to think of what I'm gonna do because
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: you're not going to believe this now that we've gone
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: now full time family feud, the talk show season is over.
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: This is the only one. Then I gotta work a
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: few saturdays. But I got a weekend on what baby
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: bag boy? Some want y'all to think of what I
