- 1:29Speaker 2: You got to turn the mouth, turn the probably, got
- 1:44Speaker 2: to turn the mouth, turn out, turn the money.
- 1:49Speaker 7: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on your uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 8: Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 8: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey man oh man,
- 2:10Speaker 8: got a radio show. Yeah, I do. God so big
- 2:13Speaker 8: to me, man, I just have to tell you about it.
- 2:17Speaker 8: I can't help it. It's rather obvious to me how big,
- 2:21Speaker 8: how good God is. He's absolutely tremendous. He's off the chain.
- 2:27Speaker 8: He owned one, he'd be clowning, he'd be just showing out.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Man.
- 2:34Speaker 8: I'm just over here, just on the receiving end. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 8: if you're out there, start your mission today, Start your
- 2:43Speaker 8: mission today? What are you waiting for? Why do we
- 2:49Speaker 8: as people delay what we want or delay the process
- 2:58Speaker 8: to begin what we want on our hopes, our dreams,
- 3:02Speaker 8: our desires. Why won't you start your mission today? Why
- 3:06Speaker 8: don't we all decide together that just individually. Look you listening,
- 3:13Speaker 8: you got something that you've been dreaming about. You got
- 3:16Speaker 8: an ambition of yours that's not yet fulfilled. You got
- 3:19Speaker 8: goals you haven't accomplished yet. Everybody has them. Everybody's got them.
- 3:25Speaker 8: Everybody's got something that's on the table that they haven't
- 3:29Speaker 8: yet attacked yet. What are you waiting for? Start your
- 3:33Speaker 8: mission today? Stop the procrastination. Now, the procrastination is only
- 3:38Speaker 8: hurting you yourself. If you got a goal of aspiration
- 3:43Speaker 8: to dream and you fall off track momentarily, you can
- 3:47Speaker 8: get back to that because God knows where you left off.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:52Speaker 8: You may have to accomplish a few more things since
- 3:54Speaker 8: you stopped for a long period of time, but God
- 3:56Speaker 8: know where you left off. You can get back on track. Look, man,
- 4:00Speaker 8: this dream of being on TV since I was a kid,
- 4:03Speaker 8: and it got off track. Now it got off track.
- 4:07Speaker 8: I just kept it as one of the dreams, and
- 4:10Speaker 8: in some real dog moments when it looked like it
- 4:13Speaker 8: wasn't gonna happen, all I was hanging on to was
- 4:16Speaker 8: just the hope that one day it could. But that's
- 4:19Speaker 8: what faith is really about. Faith is the belief in
- 4:22Speaker 8: things that you cannot see, but faith gives you the
- 4:26Speaker 8: confidence to keep hoping.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Man.
- 4:29Speaker 8: Sometimes it just keep hope alive. Sometimes you heard Jesse
- 4:33Speaker 8: Jackson say it just keep hope alive. Sometimes, man, it's
- 4:36Speaker 8: just the hope. I was hanging on a hope. And
- 4:41Speaker 8: I'm talking about when it got real ugly and funky
- 4:44Speaker 8: out there for me, when it looked like I wasn't
- 4:46Speaker 8: gonna ever make it, and all of the facts was
- 4:49Speaker 8: in and everything pointed in the direction you not gonna
- 4:53Speaker 8: make it. You done really messed up this time. Then
- 4:56Speaker 8: I sat there and I just hung on to the hope.
- 5:00Speaker 8: But man, that's what I'm saying. If you got a
- 5:03Speaker 8: dream on aspiration or vision or something, when you fall
- 5:07Speaker 8: off track and you want to go get back in line,
- 5:10Speaker 8: God holds your place.
- 5:12Speaker 1: See. He held on to that for me.
- 5:15Speaker 8: He knew I was off tracking, out of line, but
- 5:17Speaker 8: he said, okay, here's where we stopped. You want to
- 5:20Speaker 8: be on TV.
- 5:21Speaker 9: Now.
- 5:21Speaker 8: When you get it together and you quit tripping and
- 5:23Speaker 8: you come and your turn to me, I'm gonna hold
- 5:25Speaker 8: your place, put you back in line. Then we're gonna
- 5:27Speaker 8: finish the journey that took me a lot longer to
- 5:29Speaker 8: get here than I wanted to. But then it was
- 5:31Speaker 8: necessary because I needed all of them mishaps to happen
- 5:34Speaker 8: to me along the way. So when I got on
- 5:36Speaker 8: the radio one day, which I did not see coming,
- 5:39Speaker 8: Steve Harvey got a radio show, y'all. That's why I
- 5:42Speaker 8: say it every day. See, because of this radio show
- 5:44Speaker 8: that I didn't see coming.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Now I have.
- 5:47Speaker 8: Stories to tell, I got experiences to share, and I
- 5:52Speaker 8: can tell you about me better I can tell you
- 5:54Speaker 8: about anybody. And I done been through enough whereas relatable,
- 5:59Speaker 8: where enough people can go. Man, that happened to me.
- 6:01Speaker 8: Appreciate you saying that. That's what it was for. See,
- 6:04Speaker 8: I get it now. See at the time, no, I
- 6:07Speaker 8: didn't like what was happening to me. At the time,
- 6:10Speaker 8: I was really in total disagreement with God on a
- 6:12Speaker 8: lot of stuff He was pulling off on me. But
- 6:15Speaker 8: in essence, I was really pulling it off on myself.
- 6:18Speaker 8: But through his grace and mercy, he kept me through
- 6:21Speaker 8: all of my mistakes, all my bad decisions, all my miscalculations,
- 6:26Speaker 8: all my misfires, all the times I knowingly stepped out
- 6:30Speaker 8: there and did wrong. He forgave me, he said, because man,
- 6:35Speaker 8: if you ever come to me. I have a plan
- 6:38Speaker 8: for you that is going to be far and above.
- 6:42Speaker 8: It will supersede everything you've ever dreamed of. That's what
- 6:46Speaker 8: I did. I just got sick of me. Goodn't sick
- 6:49Speaker 8: of me? And I turned it over to God. And
- 6:52Speaker 8: then God started working and here I am today. Now
- 6:56Speaker 8: he threw with me. Yet Nope, have I arrived? I
- 7:00Speaker 8: have jet Nope? But guess what the journey is cool?
- 7:05Speaker 9: You know.
- 7:05Speaker 8: It's like I was talking to this young brother the
- 7:07Speaker 8: other day about comedy, and he's a really good stand up.
- 7:11Speaker 8: You know, this young dude is really good. He said, Man,
- 7:14Speaker 8: what is this I feel every night before I go
- 7:17Speaker 8: on stage. I don't know what it is. I just
- 7:20Speaker 8: want it off me, I said, sir, listen to me,
- 7:23Speaker 8: you young dude. This thing that climbs on my back
- 7:27Speaker 8: every night before I go on stage.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't know what it is.
- 7:31Speaker 8: It's got something to do with pressure, It's got something
- 7:33Speaker 8: to do with anticipation. It's got a whole lot to
- 7:36Speaker 8: do with the fear of falling. He said, What you
- 7:39Speaker 8: mean by that, I say, every night I walk out
- 7:41Speaker 8: on stage, it's like I'm about to go and step
- 7:44Speaker 8: off of cliff. I say, it's a sickening feeling. He said, man,
- 7:48Speaker 8: but you do so well. I said, that's because the
- 7:51Speaker 8: parachute opens. I say, but I want you to understand something.
- 7:54Speaker 8: When I first walk out there, it's just stepping off
- 7:57Speaker 8: the cliff. Now, these yolks provide a parachute which slows
- 8:03Speaker 8: my descent when I jump off the cliff, and I
- 8:06Speaker 8: turned it into a glide. And then I take the
- 8:09Speaker 8: audience this way and I swung them back over that.
- 8:11Speaker 1: That way.
- 8:12Speaker 8: We might swing out to the Colorado Rockies. We may
- 8:16Speaker 8: go down to Miami with this joke. We may take
- 8:18Speaker 8: it on out to LA and I just swing back
- 8:20Speaker 8: and forth till I land softly. The crowd cheers. The
- 8:24Speaker 8: night is over with, I said, but it's been too
- 8:26Speaker 8: many nights though. When I walked off that cliff and
- 8:29Speaker 8: I pulled the cord and the parachute didn't open, I said,
- 8:32Speaker 8: Now I'm just free falling out there for thirty minutes.
- 8:35Speaker 8: Ain't no jokes working. Ain't the parachute didn't open. I said,
- 8:39Speaker 8: So see, that's what it's like for me. And then
- 8:42Speaker 8: you know what I found out if you done walked
- 8:44Speaker 8: off the cliff in life, and you ain't got no
- 8:47Speaker 8: guard in your life. It's like not having a parachute.
- 8:51Speaker 8: You step off the cliff and you just free falling.
- 8:55Speaker 8: Now see we all now that fog gets you closer
- 8:58Speaker 8: to the grave, right, we all heading to the grave
- 9:01Speaker 8: from the moment we're born. But the cool thing about
- 9:03Speaker 8: a relationship with God is when you step off the
- 9:06Speaker 8: cliff and you got God here a parachute. You still
- 9:10Speaker 8: going down, but it's a nice ride, and God just
- 9:14Speaker 8: helps your descent appear more like a rise and more
- 9:18Speaker 8: like a euphoric fall, instead of not having no God
- 9:22Speaker 8: in your life and you just walking off that cliff
- 9:25Speaker 8: every day, free falling.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Ain't got no.
- 9:27Speaker 8: Cord, you steady pulling, you hollering the whole way because
- 9:31Speaker 8: you to mess around with yourself, and ain't let God
- 9:34Speaker 8: come into your life and provide.
- 9:35Speaker 1: A parachute for you.
- 9:37Speaker 8: I would rather have a parachute since I got to
- 9:40Speaker 8: jump every day, than to not have one. God has
- 9:44Speaker 8: been like a parachute for me. Ask me where that
- 9:48Speaker 8: came from. I can't tell you. But like I always say,
- 9:51Speaker 8: most good things that happen in my life that I
- 9:54Speaker 8: can't explain is usually him.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 8: Ladies and gentlemen, you know what, It's another day, another opportunity,
- 10:08Speaker 8: another chance to shine, and it all will go a
- 10:11Speaker 8: lot better if you start this day with gratitude. I'm
- 10:14Speaker 8: telling you the angels in heaven rejoice when you send
- 10:18Speaker 8: up gratitude. It also opens up an opportunity to be
- 10:23Speaker 8: closer to God because appreciation is is so much a
- 10:27Speaker 8: part of this whole thing. Man, He does so much
- 10:30Speaker 8: for us that goes without thanks. Just try it, man,
- 10:34Speaker 8: just try it. Great way to start your day. Steve Harvey, Mornashaw,
- 10:37Speaker 8: Shirley Strawberry, Colin Farrell, Mississippi, Monica Jr.
- 10:40Speaker 1: And the Legend of Nephew Tommas Jr. What's going on?
- 10:43Speaker 2: Man?
- 10:44Speaker 8: You got on your red beb hat on today? You
- 10:48Speaker 8: know when you add that hat, that's like a woman
- 10:50Speaker 8: wearing red bottoms?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Man, talk about this? Is it ever too late to
- 10:57Speaker 1: change the dream? Do you change your dream too long?
- 11:02Speaker 9: Well?
- 11:02Speaker 1: I don't.
- 11:03Speaker 8: It's never too late to change your dream because you
- 11:05Speaker 8: can always have new ones, you know, So it's not
- 11:09Speaker 8: ever too late. I mean, I don't know if anybody
- 11:13Speaker 8: well I do know, but you know, a man without
- 11:16Speaker 8: a dream or vision shall parish, right, So if you've
- 11:19Speaker 8: accomplished a lot. That's why you see people who are
- 11:23Speaker 8: well off who constantly in pursuit of something, because it
- 11:26Speaker 8: makes waking up have purpose to it, you know. I
- 11:29Speaker 8: think we always got to be in pursuit of something.
- 11:31Speaker 8: So yeah, man, I think it's never too late to
- 11:34Speaker 8: change your dream. You can, especially if you're talking to
- 11:37Speaker 8: God every day. He could send you in another direction,
- 11:40Speaker 8: or maybe you weren't going in the direction he wanted
- 11:42Speaker 8: you to go in the first place, and you finally
- 11:45Speaker 8: got it together. Now you on track, So yeah, man,
- 11:48Speaker 8: it's highly possible to change your dreams. I want stuff
- 11:52Speaker 8: all the time that I never wanted before. I was
- 11:55Speaker 8: just this morning wrote some stuff on the paper I
- 11:57Speaker 8: ain't never had before, you know, but all things is possible, yea,
- 12:03Speaker 8: you won't know. Most of the stuff is for other people,
- 12:08Speaker 8: you know. I got to get in a position to
- 12:10Speaker 8: do stuff for other people. I don't need nothing, man,
- 12:14Speaker 8: I want some stuff, but I don't need nothing. I really,
- 12:17Speaker 8: I don't really need anything.
- 12:19Speaker 9: You know.
- 12:19Speaker 8: He ain't covered the needs a long time ago. Food, shelter, clothes,
- 12:23Speaker 8: and all that's covered you know, bild money got it.
- 12:27Speaker 8: You know, got some new bills coming up though, I
- 12:31Speaker 8: don't know why they mind.
- 12:33Speaker 1: But you know, we got to ask about that too. Yeah, man,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I had.
- 12:40Speaker 8: Somebody asked me for some money. I don't know if
- 12:43Speaker 8: you've ever had this. You ever had somebody ask you
- 12:46Speaker 8: for money that you don't really care for?
- 12:50Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 12:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you ain't.
- 12:59Speaker 8: Just let the wash over you. You know, had that happen,
- 13:05Speaker 8: and it wasn't a small amount either. I went, wow,
- 13:08Speaker 8: that's interesting. Yeah, and almost.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Text backer said you do know I don't really care
- 13:14Speaker 1: for you, don't. I ain't do that but text really yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 8: But they asked in a text because I don't respond
- 13:23Speaker 8: to him, so they had to, so it turned into
- 13:25Speaker 8: a text. I was wondering what the forty forty text
- 13:28Speaker 8: was about this year. Ain't just checking on you? Hope
- 13:32Speaker 8: and everything good?

- 14:26Speaker 11: Now your baby ready for regular kindergarten. You not to
- 14:30Speaker 11: send him back to pre k. It's just it's not
- 14:32Speaker 11: working at just saying just ain't quite right for kindergarten.
- 14:37Speaker 11: So let's go cat thought to send this baby back
- 14:40Speaker 11: to pre k. Hello, Yes, I'm trying to reach missus Thomas. Please,
- 14:47Speaker 11: my name is mister Stapleton. I'm actually the principal over
- 14:49Speaker 11: at elementary school. You're I'm looking at my records indicating
- 14:54Speaker 11: that your son, Thomas is going to be starting his
- 14:57Speaker 11: first grade.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Ready, my babies, right, listen, miss Thomas.
- 15:02Speaker 11: I've been going through actually all of the children's records
- 15:06Speaker 11: that will be starting school, and I'm looking at your
- 15:09Speaker 11: son's grades from his kindergarten and did well, No, not exactly.
- 15:16Speaker 11: I mean there's been a few I actually spoke with
- 15:19Speaker 11: the teacher and who he was under in kindergarten, and
- 15:22Speaker 11: it seems like he just really wasn't up to par as.
- 15:25Speaker 1: The rest of the children.
- 15:27Speaker 6: Now, his conduct, Now, he talked, but he gets his work.
- 15:31Speaker 6: So what else is she saying on that that ain't right?
- 15:34Speaker 11: Well, what's what it seems to be, ma'am, is that
- 15:37Speaker 11: his grades weren't up to par as the rest of
- 15:39Speaker 11: the other children. She did tell me he was a
- 15:41Speaker 11: disobedient child.
- 15:42Speaker 6: No, disobedient and talking two different things.
- 15:44Speaker 11: Come on, Okay, well man, listen, what we've decided here
- 15:48Speaker 11: is we're gonna let little actually do another year of kindergarten.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Y ain't let him do another year of kindergarten, No, sir.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Man, that's that's the only choice I have.
- 15:58Speaker 8: After li.
- 16:00Speaker 6: No, we got our letter in the mail with our
- 16:03Speaker 6: report card the week after school's starting, and it's said
- 16:07Speaker 6: on the back promoted. And if I got to get
- 16:09Speaker 6: about this couch and go get it, I'm gonna be
- 16:12Speaker 6: off because I'm telling you right now we will be
- 16:15Speaker 6: in the first grade. Kindergarten wasn't that hard. I'm not
- 16:18Speaker 6: sure what they told you about him, but it must
- 16:21Speaker 6: be the wrong.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Don't understand that he doesn't color as well as the
- 16:25Speaker 1: rest of kids.
- 16:26Speaker 11: He's all out of them. He's out of the lines
- 16:28Speaker 11: when he colored. He doesn't know his numbers completely. And
- 16:31Speaker 11: that's kind of what we need when you first come
- 16:33Speaker 11: into into the first grade.
- 16:36Speaker 6: When I can show you on this paper he did
- 16:37Speaker 6: satisfactory all the way through. Now you about the mail off,
- 16:41Speaker 6: and I'm already sick calling me with some by my
- 16:44Speaker 6: son blunking kindergarten.
- 16:46Speaker 4: He ain't that kind of thing.
- 16:47Speaker 1: It does not color well.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Many color.
- 16:50Speaker 6: Ain't got nothing with that, dadgard kindergarten. He is going
- 16:53Speaker 6: to the first grade, and I'll be down there on
- 16:55Speaker 6: August twenty four.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I will not be able to allow you to get
- 16:58Speaker 1: into school on mister.
- 17:01Speaker 6: I'm sorry, and let me get let me tell you what.
- 17:04Speaker 6: Let me go in and get my pencil and pen
- 17:05Speaker 6: because I don't live that far from this school. And
- 17:07Speaker 6: if y'all aren't ready down there, calls them some conflict.
- 17:09Speaker 6: I need to get up and go down there. Because
- 17:11Speaker 6: I'm not telling my baby when he come home today,
- 17:13Speaker 6: so he ain't going to the daggum first, ma'am.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I hate to say it, but I'm gonna have to
- 17:17Speaker 1: refuse education from.
- 17:18Speaker 6: Him on all this twenty You know what, I just
- 17:20Speaker 6: went back and put him in public school. I know
- 17:22Speaker 6: that was a stake in the first place. Through which
- 17:24Speaker 6: are talking about some coloring? Give me your name against sir,
- 17:29Speaker 6: And what's that number down there?
- 17:30Speaker 1: The number here is actually area code.
- 17:33Speaker 6: Waitman, I got the number. Now mind, I pulled up
- 17:36Speaker 6: this report card. I got the number your name on
- 17:37Speaker 6: the back of this paper.
- 17:38Speaker 4: I tell you what I was.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Twenty fourth will be coming in there, going to school,
- 17:42Speaker 6: and I might make a trip around there this evening
- 17:44Speaker 6: when I come from the doctum. I'm not want to
- 17:48Speaker 6: hear that calling. Ain't got nothing to do with nothing else.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It's not only coloring.
- 17:53Speaker 11: Here's arithmetickets back all right, No, are you working with
- 17:56Speaker 11: him at home or you're.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Doing anything at home?
- 18:00Speaker 6: What you're trying to say, I'm an incompetent parent.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I'm just asking, as a parent, are you working with
- 18:04Speaker 1: your child?
- 18:04Speaker 6: Working with my child every day? He can read better
- 18:07Speaker 6: than you.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Probably no, he can't read.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I'm a princess.
- 18:09Speaker 6: I read better than you, because honestly, you read that
- 18:12Speaker 6: role on that paper that he's supposed to be going
- 18:13Speaker 6: back to kindergarten, when I know the paper said from
- 18:16Speaker 6: his going to the first grade. And I'm not listening
- 18:19Speaker 6: to no more this about him going backwards. Now, if
- 18:22Speaker 6: you got a problem with your paper, word, maybe you

- 24:50Speaker 1: But some fellas y'all can't. Y'all got to understand now.
- 24:55Speaker 8: First of all, if you're not comfortable with a chick,

- 36:32Speaker 1: Man, I'm not finn to do this. Do you save
- 36:35Speaker 1: that much more money? Though? When you do that? When

- 37:54Speaker 10: According to USA Today, New Jersey Democratic Senator Corey Booker
- 37:59Speaker 10: on Tuesday delivered the longest recorded floor speech in Senate history,
- 38:06Speaker 10: breaking the record set by segregationists. Remember this, Senator strom
- 38:10Speaker 10: Thurman back in nineteen fifty seven. Okay, Senator Booker's twenty
- 38:15Speaker 10: five hour speech twenty five hours he stayed on the
- 38:18Speaker 10: Senate floor criticized Trump's whitewash policies and his administration. During
- 38:24Speaker 10: his speech, Senator Booker did not leave. He did not
- 38:28Speaker 10: leave the Senate floor. He didn't go to the bathroom,
- 38:31Speaker 10: any of that.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Nothing.
- 38:33Speaker 10: He just stayed there. Our Yeah, no, you can't leave
- 38:38Speaker 10: the floor. Yeah, leave the floor. It's it's over the floor.
- 38:45Speaker 8: Huh, he.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Got.
- 38:49Speaker 1: But wait a minute.
- 38:50Speaker 10: He did a fasting routine. Yeah, you're right, junior, He
- 38:53Speaker 10: did a fasting routine to prepare. He said, quote, I
- 38:56Speaker 10: think I stopped eating on Friday and then to stop
- 39:00Speaker 10: drinking the night before. I started on Monday. Okay, so
- 39:04Speaker 10: he stopped eating on Friday, then he stopped drinking on Monday.
- 39:07Speaker 10: And that had its benefits, Senator Booker said, And it
- 39:11Speaker 10: had it really downsides.
- 39:13Speaker 9: That's what.
- 39:15Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 39:16Speaker 8: I couldn't stood that for twenty four hours, and I
- 39:19Speaker 8: ain't ate nothing. But you know, man, let me tell
- 39:22Speaker 8: you something. Just as a stand up you know, a
- 39:26Speaker 8: comedy show, traditionally they try to make it ninety minutes
- 39:29Speaker 8: because they know ninety minutes is the maximum laughter that
- 39:33Speaker 8: people have in their body. It's like being tickled when
- 39:37Speaker 8: your uncle tickle you is funny for a while. After
- 39:39Speaker 8: that it ain't funny no more. Yeah, yeah, when you're
- 39:42Speaker 8: talking for twenty five hours and you ain't said nothing funny.
- 39:53Speaker 8: This is one of the worst things you could ask
- 39:56Speaker 8: me to do is sit there in support of you.
- 40:00Speaker 8: And I appreciate what he tried to do, but I sure.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Would like to know what it do.
- 40:08Speaker 4: Well.
- 40:08Speaker 10: Former Vice President Kamala Harris thanked Senator Booker for his
- 40:11Speaker 10: leadership and for lifting up the voices of the American
- 40:15Speaker 10: people that have been harmed by this administration.
- 40:18Speaker 1: What do it do or does it accomplished? Well, we'll see,
- 40:22Speaker 1: we'll see, y'all.
- 40:23Speaker 8: Y'all know, I want to know what it could what's
- 40:27Speaker 8: the potential of it accomplishing. We have got to stop
- 40:32Speaker 8: doing stuff that's just rhetoric, because the Republicans are not
- 40:36Speaker 8: doing rhetoric. They out there a change in policy, they
- 40:41Speaker 8: raised in hell, now we mad about it.
- 40:44Speaker 1: What we just on to where were all wrong? This
- 40:46Speaker 1: is whitewash. This is why we got all that. What
- 40:49Speaker 1: are we going to do? And that is demand that
- 40:52Speaker 1: the demand that we have and right as people who
- 40:56Speaker 1: are voters.
- 40:57Speaker 12: Right, it's like the Democratic Party, they need a leader.
- 41:00Speaker 12: You know what I'm saying, Well, what is going on
- 41:02Speaker 12: with this party? So him standing up there with his
- 41:05Speaker 12: leadership on the Senate floor to remind.
- 41:09Speaker 1: People of what's going on.
- 41:10Speaker 10: All right, coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour,
- 41:14Speaker 10: we'll check your voicemail Steve at eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve.
- 41:17Speaker 10: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It
- 41:26Speaker 10: is time now to check your voicemail Steve at eight
- 41:29Speaker 10: seven seven twenty nine. Steve call us and leave a message.
- 41:32Speaker 10: You might hear your call on the air. Are you ready, sir?
- 41:36Speaker 1: Stay ready? Sure, Here we go, Here we go.
- 41:39Speaker 10: This is a mail caller who left a message about
- 41:41Speaker 10: your website, you know, the one you wanted to create,
- 41:43Speaker 10: called don't say that dot com Steve Harvey.
- 41:47Speaker 9: This message is explicitly for you.
- 41:48Speaker 15: I just heard part of your broadcast about you opening
- 41:51Speaker 15: a website, seeing.
- 41:52Speaker 9: Don't see that.
- 41:53Speaker 15: You know you're like a role model, but you speak
- 41:55Speaker 15: any bodies use it like them And earlier in the
- 41:59Speaker 15: broadcastalking about murals, scruples, values and reference to two sisters
- 42:05Speaker 15: the same guy, where are your murals and values? For
- 42:08Speaker 15: being an impactful, positive role model for younger kids? You
- 42:13Speaker 15: encourage mentally talent or underserved black kids to use broken English.
- 42:19Speaker 9: You should be ashamed of yourself.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Do better, man, Well, I appreciate your calling in, brother,
- 42:24Speaker 1: but I didn't. I'm not an English specialist. That's not
- 42:28Speaker 1: what I do.
- 42:29Speaker 8: I'm into young boys to get them to understand the
- 42:32Speaker 8: rules and values of manhood and dream building. I'm in
- 42:36Speaker 8: the life changing business, not in the speech changing business. Now,
- 42:40Speaker 8: if you talk better than me, then that's cool. But
- 42:43Speaker 8: you ain't gotten no radio show. So obviously, however i'm
- 42:47Speaker 8: talking is working just here. Fine for whoever wills to
- 42:51Speaker 8: tune in anything. If you don't like it like this here,
- 42:54Speaker 8: dear dog, you ain't got to listen. I'm not a
- 42:57Speaker 8: role model for proper speech. I'm a role model for
- 43:02Speaker 8: manhood and dream building. Now, if your dream is to
- 43:06Speaker 8: stand on the Senate floor as did Corey Booker and
- 43:10Speaker 8: speak for twenty five hours, and he probably need to
- 43:12Speaker 8: go over there and let Corey Booker into you. But
- 43:15Speaker 8: if you want to come from nothing and turn your
- 43:18Speaker 8: life into something, I can mentor that.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Now. I don't you know. I'm dimn and all this here,
- 43:24Speaker 1: I don't really have a problem with it.
- 43:26Speaker 7: And who is you.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Who is you, doog? I mean, just who is you?
- 43:33Speaker 4: So like?
- 43:34Speaker 1: I don't see you.
- 43:35Speaker 8: Putting your money up changing no kids' lives. I don't
- 43:39Speaker 8: see you volunteering for no mintoring program. I don't even
- 43:42Speaker 8: know if you're on the Big Brother program list or
- 43:46Speaker 8: Big Sisters. I don't know if you do it, none
- 43:48Speaker 8: of that. I'm doing a lot of that now because
- 43:50Speaker 8: I don't sound that good and all that talk, all
- 43:53Speaker 8: that good, That's all right with me. I try to
- 43:57Speaker 8: get my point across the best I can. That's bothered you.
- 44:03Speaker 8: But from tips of my soul, how I could give
- 44:12Speaker 8: less men?
- 44:14Speaker 10: We needn't have to take constructive criticism?
- 44:19Speaker 1: I took it. But what see, this is what the
- 44:23Speaker 1: Bible says on to others as you would have them
- 44:28Speaker 1: do unto you.
- 44:29Speaker 8: So if you want to criticize me, then his little
- 44:33Speaker 8: bullshy has got to be.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Ready for some criticism himself. He didn't even leave his name.
- 44:41Speaker 10: It's just a male caller, see right there. But haven't
- 44:44Speaker 10: I been telling you for years since we've been on
- 44:46Speaker 10: the radio about your grammar?
- 44:48Speaker 1: Haven't I been telling? Of course?
- 44:49Speaker 2: You have?
- 44:50Speaker 1: Have I been listening?
- 44:52Speaker 4: Of course?
- 44:53Speaker 1: Okay? So now what makes him think I don't even
- 44:57Speaker 1: know him. At least I know s.
- 45:00Speaker 5: For years.
- 45:01Speaker 1: It's based on the relationship.
- 45:05Speaker 8: Yeah, but if you're gonna call me brother to criticize me,
- 45:11Speaker 8: then do what I teach the young men to do
- 45:13Speaker 8: to come to my camp.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Be man enough to stand on your word. Put your
- 45:20Speaker 1: name on it. Y'all be shaming yourself. Well, I ain't.
- 45:28Speaker 10: A uh, it's a lady who left a message about
- 45:30Speaker 10: where exactly are you from?
- 45:32Speaker 1: Steve.
- 45:33Speaker 9: Kay, mister Harvey, this is Alicius.
- 45:36Speaker 16: Me and a couple of buddies are.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Standing outside of Dollar General in West by.
- 45:42Speaker 9: God, Virginia, and we need some validation from you on.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Where are you from, whether it's Welch or McDonell County somewhere.
- 45:51Speaker 5: Now.
- 45:54Speaker 9: I can't believe.
- 45:56Speaker 8: Welch is in McDowell County with the post county in
- 46:01Speaker 8: the United States, Welch, West Virginia is in that county.
- 46:04Speaker 1: There was no Dollar stove when I was there. We
- 46:06Speaker 1: had one stone, all right, I got I can't believe
- 46:09Speaker 1: I just did it.
- 46:11Speaker 10: Coming up next, Thank you, Steve, Thank you caller Steve.
- 46:14Speaker 10: Coming up next, it is the nephew and the prank
- 46:16Speaker 10: phone call for today.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 46:19Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 46:26Speaker 10: at the top of the hour, about four minutes after.
- 46:29Speaker 10: It's my strawberry letter for today, and the subject is
- 46:33Speaker 10: it's a problem when I do it. We'll get into
- 46:36Speaker 10: that find out what that's all about. It's a problem
- 46:38Speaker 10: when I do it. But right now, the nephew is
- 46:41Speaker 10: here with today's prank phone call.

- 46:55Speaker 11: I flip it this way?
- 46:56Speaker 1: Can I say rest in peace?
- 46:59Speaker 11: Vale Kill one of my favorite actors who was actually
- 47:02Speaker 11: in Tombstone the movie that was a.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Bad boy right there. You know, you know, I'll be
- 47:06Speaker 1: your huckle bear.
- 47:07Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, he's a great actor. Yeah, he is called Tombstone.

- 51:35Speaker 3: Me and you yelling at each other.
- 51:37Speaker 16: We mean, we don't do this. Yelling at each other
- 51:41Speaker 16: is not gonna fix the problems. I'm I still have
- 51:44Speaker 16: to do a step here. I have to look at
- 51:45Speaker 16: this paperwork.

- 56:54Speaker 10: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm sick of my husband controlling stuff
- 56:58Speaker 10: when it comes to me and my happiness, but he
- 57:01Speaker 10: never deprives himself of anything, not even other women. We've
- 57:06Speaker 10: been together for seven years and married for four years.
- 57:09Speaker 10: He paid off all three of my major credit cards,
- 57:11Speaker 10: and we got a credit card together that we plan
- 57:14Speaker 10: to use for trips and major purchases. He has been
- 57:17Speaker 10: ordering limited edition Jordan's on the card whenever he wants to,
- 57:21Speaker 10: but if I use the card to order hair, he
- 57:24Speaker 10: has a fit. My hair is just as important, if
- 57:27Speaker 10: not more important, than the latest shoes. He tries to
- 57:32Speaker 10: justify everything if it's something he wants. He always compares
- 57:36Speaker 10: me to women on TV and pictures on social media.
- 57:39Speaker 10: He thinks he's being helpful if he tells me that
- 57:41Speaker 10: I should visit a popular dermatologist that he saw on
- 57:44Speaker 10: social media. If I ask him what's wrong with my face,
- 57:48Speaker 10: he says that he didn't mean any harm. One day,
- 57:51Speaker 10: I decided to pay him back and I pointed out
- 57:53Speaker 10: a man that had a big, huge bulge, big bulge
- 57:57Speaker 10: in the front of his khakis. I told my husband
- 57:59Speaker 10: he should ask the guy what kind of pants he
- 58:01Speaker 10: was wearing, because they fit him very nicely. My husband
- 58:06Speaker 10: said that I was implying that he was a small
- 58:09Speaker 10: man down there and his feelings were so hurt. He
- 58:12Speaker 10: can't take it when I treat him as bad as
- 58:14Speaker 10: he treats me. I've found screenshots of other women saved
- 58:19Speaker 10: on his phone, and he talks to his female friends
- 58:21Speaker 10: in my presence, although we had agreed that we shouldn't
- 58:25Speaker 10: talk to our old friends of the opposite sex. He
- 58:28Speaker 10: does so many other things that prove that our marriage
- 58:31Speaker 10: is one sided. He said, he's the king, but this
- 58:34Speaker 10: queen has had enough. Why is my husband so comfortable
- 58:38Speaker 10: doing what he wants to do? Because he just is,
- 58:42Speaker 10: That's all I mean. He's a typical dish it but
- 58:44Speaker 10: can't take it type person. He's living in his perfect
- 58:47Speaker 10: world and he thinks he's too good to deal with
- 58:49Speaker 10: your flaws. In other words, he's too busy criticizing you
- 58:54Speaker 10: to see himself in a different lighter to get himself together.
- 59:00Speaker 10: He's playing a dangerous game, though, because his ego is
- 59:03Speaker 10: very fragile. We know that fragile egos, they can't take
- 59:07Speaker 10: it when you He can't definitely take it when you
- 59:10Speaker 10: mentioned the other man's pants and how good the other
- 59:13Speaker 10: man looked in them. He was crushed by that. He
- 59:17Speaker 10: was crushed. But I got to tell you that this
- 59:20Speaker 10: tit for tet stuff that you guys are doing, it
- 59:23Speaker 10: could get really, really ugly. And I can't understand how
- 59:27Speaker 10: you let this go this far. You guys have known
- 59:29Speaker 10: each other for seven years, Mary for four, especially the cheating.
- 59:34Speaker 10: You wrote it like you know, it was so matter
- 59:36Speaker 10: of factly after seven years of marriage. I think you
- 59:39Speaker 10: should be able to say anything and everything to your husband,
- 59:42Speaker 10: you know, including exactly how you feel about his criticisms
- 59:46Speaker 10: and put downs.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Steve.
- 59:49Speaker 8: Wow, this whole letter to me is about a person
- 59:56Speaker 8: who doesn't and understand their power. Because I want to
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: encourage women, and a lot of women don't need what
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: I'm about to say because they do it anyway.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: But you got to understand your power. The subject is
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the problem when I do it.
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: This lady said that she's sick of her husband controlling
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: everything when it comes to me and my happiness. But
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: he don't deprive hisself of anything, not even other women. Now,
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: let's stop right here. He don't deprive himself of nothing,
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: not even other women.
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: I was really expecting to hear more in this.
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: Letter about that, because that's like crazy that you married,
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: but you don't have to deprive yourself of other women.
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: I'm very interested in this theory, very interested in knowing
- 1:00:55Speaker 8: more about this, because how does this work. We've being
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: together seven married for folk, paid off all three of
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: my major credit cards, and y'all got a credit card
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: together that were planning on using for trips and major purchases.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: All right, but he been ordering limited edition Jordan's on
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: the card whenever he wants.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: But if I use the card to order hair, he
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: gotta fit. My hair is just as.
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: Important, if not more important, than the latest shoe. Let's
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: stop right here. I must agree you have my full
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: undivided one support. Hair is way more important than some
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: Jordan's right, Ain't no doubt about it. I ain't seen
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: no Jordan's look better than a woman's hair. I ain't
- 1:01:54Speaker 8: seen a pair yet. Now I must uh or what
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: you say when you are clarify, I want to love, stipulate,
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: point out, reiterate, reiterate, org say this was the stipulation.
- 1:02:13Speaker 8: I don't know the proper word to use. And the
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: dude that's listening to the show that criticizes me, you know,
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: I don't know what the word is. So it is anyway,
- 1:02:23Speaker 8: I don't own a single pair of Jordan's. Let me
- 1:02:27Speaker 8: just put that out there. I don't have any hair
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: so I have. I am not biased in any way.
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: I ain't got no Jordan's and I ain't got no hair,
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: so I am totally totally impartial to this letter. But
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: I must agree that if I had to pick Jordan's,
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: a hair dog going and I'm gonna have some hell,
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: and especially on my woman. So let's just get that
- 1:02:59Speaker 8: out the way. We'll be back with how I really
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: feel about this letter.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: Okay, all right, Steve.
- 1:03:04Speaker 10: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:03:06Speaker 10: twenty three minutes after the hour Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 1:03:10Speaker 10: It's a problem when I do it. We'll get back
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: into it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:22Speaker 8: Hey, look, you can't let the urge to sing your
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: favorite songs while you're driving distract you from that truck
- 1:03:28Speaker 8: drifting toward your lane or that lane splitting.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Biker creeping up beside you.
- 1:03:34Speaker 8: Fortunately, every Honday offers advanced safety features that can alert
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: you to potential dangers around you.
- 1:03:40Speaker 11: That's right, because Hondai is always working to ensure the
- 1:03:43Speaker 11: road doesn't get you. Hondai vehicles have one over one
- 1:03:45Speaker 11: hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety awards from two thousand
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: and six to twenty twenty four as of December twenty
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: twenty four.
- 1:03:54Speaker 10: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: The subject it's a problem when I do it.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it is a problem.
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: It is a problem when you do it because you're
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: not exacting your power here. All right, I'm explaining this
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: to you. Your husband is controlling. Y'all got your credit
- 1:04:14Speaker 8: cards paid off, your big three major cars. Y'all got
- 1:04:16Speaker 8: one credit card together, decide that y'all was gonna take
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: trips and do major purchases together.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: He doing on the car what he want to do.
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: He ordered the latest unlimited Jordan's all the time, and
- 1:04:27Speaker 8: you ain't got a problem that. But then when you
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: order hair, he got a problem with that, you saying
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: your hair is just as important.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I agree with you.
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: Now to let you know how impartial I am in
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: this letter. Let's be clear about this. Let me set
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: this straight for the record, so you know I'm not
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: on one side or the other. I ain't got no
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: Jordan's and I ain't got no hair.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: So he's straight down the middle. I can speak on it.
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: I think the hair is more important now, God to
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: justify everything if it's important to something that he wants.
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: He always compares me to women on TV and pictures
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: on social media. He thinks he's being helpful if he
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: tells me I should visit a popular dermatologist that.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: He saw on social media. Well, why don't you flip it?
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: Why don't you carry your little bumpy face down there too,
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: because I'm pretty sure your skin is more smooth than he.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: See.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: You not exacting your power? Now, he said something in
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: this letter. Let me just go to the last line
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: and then read this letter. The last line, he says,
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: he is the king. That's why he doing what he
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: want to do. But you're saying, but his queen has
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: had enough. Why is my husband so comfortable doing what
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: he wants to do? Because you ask the queen? Are
- 1:05:55Speaker 8: not exacting your power? Lady, if you understood the game
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: of chest a little bit, maybe you can understand where
- 1:06:01Speaker 8: I'm coming from, the most powerful peace on the board
- 1:06:05Speaker 8: is the queen.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: When you lose your queen, you're making the game hard
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: on you.
- 1:06:12Speaker 8: You can still be the king, but you don't have
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: the ultimate protector because the queen is gone. The queen
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: can move parallel, horizontal, The queen can move diagonally. Can
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: the queen move diagoney?
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: No, I'm not diagony.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: A queen can move, yeah, a queen can move diagonally.
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: A queen can move parallel, horizontal, vertical. A queen can
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: move forward back, which she can capture in any direction.
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: That's the only piece on the board that has that power.
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: Because the queen is the most powerful piece on the board.
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: You since to have given up your power. So you
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: let him tell you he the king, but without the queen,
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: his chances of winning are hampered. You need your power back.
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: He compares you to women on TV and pictures on
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: social media. Then go get you one of them. See,
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: I'm gonna teach you how to talk like a queen.
- 1:07:10Speaker 8: He thinks he's being helpful, and he tells you, tell
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: me all to visit the popular dermatologist he saw on TV.
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: And you take your bumpy face down there too. And
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: he always comparing you to women on TV and social media.
- 1:07:24Speaker 8: Bring up one of them helpers. One more time and
- 1:07:27Speaker 8: see what happened to you. Then you decided to pay
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: him back. One day you showed a man that had
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: a big bulge in front of his khakis. I told
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: my husband he should have asked that guy what kind
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: of pants he's wearing, because it fit him very nicely.
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: My husband said, I was implying that he's a small
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: man down there and his.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Feelings were so hurt. The truth hurts.
- 1:07:50Speaker 8: Going to church hurts sometimes, especially when you think that
- 1:07:53Speaker 8: the sermon is about you. Then you ask the queen
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: should have said, well, I ain't saying you small, but
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: you ain't him though, ah swinging thinging, Oh yes, switchy, twitchy,
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: Oh yeah, get it, got it.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: You gotta start acting like the queen. You got to
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: let him know you got some moves too.
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: My husband said that I was flying that he's a
- 1:08:23Speaker 8: small man down there and this field is hurt. He
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: can't take it when I treat him as bad as
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: he treats me. Stop accepting bad treatment, Ladies, I say
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: this to you all the time. You can train a
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: man how to treat you. All you gotta do is
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: stop accepting bad behavior. Martin Luther King said, a man
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: can't ride your back, like unless you bend over, stop
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: bending over?
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: What's wrong with you?
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: You're the queen. I found screenshots of other women saved
- 1:08:48Speaker 8: on his phone. Take his phone, take the sim card out,
- 1:08:52Speaker 8: throw it in the fireplace, crack the phone and give
- 1:08:56Speaker 8: it back to it. And you know why you did that,
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: because I'm tired of seeing these other women on your phone.
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: That gets you a better phone than ain't got all
- 1:09:05Speaker 8: these women on this one, Okay, and then show him
- 1:09:11Speaker 8: your phone.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: What's on her phone?
- 1:09:15Speaker 8: Men?

- 1:10:32Speaker 8: up beside you. Fortunately, every Honday offers advanced safety features
- 1:10:36Speaker 8: that can alert you to potential dangers around you.
- 1:10:39Speaker 11: That's right, because Hondai is always working to ensure the

- 1:10:45Speaker 11: hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety Awards from two thousand
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: and six to twenty twenty four.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: As of December twenty twenty four. It is time now
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: for Junior and sports talk. What you got Junior?
- 1:10:57Speaker 14: All right, Shirley Well, First of all, May eleventh, O
- 1:11:00Speaker 14: This Day Comedy Jam down in Jacksonville, Floyd after Terry Theater.
- 1:11:03Speaker 14: I will be there with Sheryl lunder Wood. We gonna
- 1:11:05Speaker 14: have us a great time down there. But most importantly,
- 1:11:07Speaker 14: what I'm proud of is my work that I do
- 1:11:09Speaker 14: in the community. On June seventh, it'll be the ten
- 1:11:12Speaker 14: year anniversary of Kiers Hope. This is a five k
- 1:11:14Speaker 14: running fun walk happening at the Market Hunt He'll bridge, Okay,
- 1:11:17Speaker 14: Carling Shirley, this is for y'all. Okay, they had to
- 1:11:19Speaker 14: meet and Push has not been banned. Y'all can see, yeah,
- 1:11:26Speaker 14: right now, it has not been I know that's what
- 1:11:28Speaker 14: they want to see. They just want to see them push.
- 1:11:30Speaker 14: Jalen Hurst, yes to the first time. That's been good news,
- 1:11:36Speaker 14: good news up.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: That's true.
- 1:11:40Speaker 14: Also, also, Michael Parsons and Jerry Jones are having a
- 1:11:44Speaker 14: dispute over his contract negotiations. Jerry Jones said that he
- 1:11:48Speaker 14: don't deal with agents. He don't deal with his agent.
- 1:11:50Speaker 14: He just dealing with Michael Parsons and Michael Parsons, you
- 1:11:53Speaker 14: can't do this deal without my agent because he wants
- 1:11:55Speaker 14: the same money that Miles Garrett gets. So you know
- 1:11:58Speaker 14: that's that's like you're going into family, then your agent
- 1:12:01Speaker 14: can't go in there. It's just you, we're gonna deal
- 1:12:03Speaker 14: with you.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how I go in Huh. I ain't got
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: no agent. I know what everybody making.
- 1:12:09Speaker 8: Yeah, oh yeah, I'm not finna give you ten percent
- 1:12:12Speaker 8: of my money though, I'm not finna do that.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Oh you mean the agent. You're not gonna give that? Yes, man,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: why you never have?
- 1:12:19Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:12:20Speaker 8: Yeah, I half yeah in the past, of course, but
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: I've been in business a long time now, I don't
- 1:12:25Speaker 8: need that.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: See, once you establish a rate, you could never be
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: paid under that rate.
- 1:12:30Speaker 8: Then once I understood what Alex Trebekan Hall them was making,
- 1:12:34Speaker 8: I just understood that.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: Now if I got the same numbers what we're talking about, Yeah, okay,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: then know that. Lamar Jackson, get your mama in there,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: get it, bruh, somebody. You don't mind giving ten percent, right, yeah,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: something like that, but just going in there and just
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: give it to him. You know what I'm saying. I
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: ain't doing that. Yeah, all right, Well, we got Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:12:57Speaker 14: We'll still don't know where Aaron Rodgers want to play at,
- 1:12:59Speaker 14: but it says that he might be ended up with
- 1:13:01Speaker 14: the Steelers. Coach Thomlin says the conversations are showing positive signs,
- 1:13:04Speaker 14: so he could probably he's going.
- 1:13:06Speaker 8: To the Stealers. He was throwing the other day with Metcalf.
- 1:13:09Speaker 8: He's going to the Steelers.
- 1:13:11Speaker 14: So you know, they're saying it's showing positive signs, but
- 1:13:13Speaker 14: he still says might he could be the Vikings.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: And then we don't know. He just stay at the caves. Aaron,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: that's all we want to stay at the cave. Okay,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: we don't know it was explain what you're talking about.
- 1:13:22Speaker 14: Well, you know, he goes on these retreats and he
- 1:13:24Speaker 14: has to thank everything out and he got to sit
- 1:13:27Speaker 14: there in the dark, and then it come to him.
- 1:13:28Speaker 14: Then he says, this is what I'm gonna do. It's
- 1:13:31Speaker 14: like Cameron hay was said, either you're gonna play for
- 1:13:34Speaker 14: us or you're not.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: That's the pitch go ahead. Does he need to retire?
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Do you guys think absolutely no, he still got it.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: He's still got he still got it. You think you'll
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: see I may ever been to a caves. Think nothing now,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: All right, junior, thank you? All right.
- 1:13:56Speaker 10: Coming up at the top of the hour, a young
- 1:13:58Speaker 10: man in social media needs some advice. He asks friends,
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: don't kiss, right, we'll talk about it right after this
- 1:14:07Speaker 10: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:12Speaker 11: Steve.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: This is from JJ on Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:14:15Speaker 10: JJ says, I've been best friends with this girl for years,
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: and the other night we sort of hooked up. Nothing wild,
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: just a long kiss that felt like a line being crossed.
- 1:14:27Speaker 10: But since then she's acted light it like it never happened.
- 1:14:30Speaker 10: No follow up conversation, no acknowledgment, just back to normal.
- 1:14:35Speaker 10: The thing is, I've got feelings. Now, I've got real feelings.
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: Now do I bring it up and risk the friendship
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: or let it go and wonder forever?
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: If?
- 1:14:44Speaker 12: How?
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Listen to her too? How that he doesn't say, boy,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: she wait you now?
- 1:14:50Speaker 8: Yeah, that girl ain't kiss you for no reason. Now,
- 1:14:54Speaker 8: she ain't brought it up because she won't on you
- 1:14:56Speaker 8: to break it up. She's thinking the same thing you think.
- 1:14:59Speaker 8: I crossed the line? Man, We supposed to just be friends.
- 1:15:02Speaker 8: Told y'all about your friendship. But okay, so anyway, what
- 1:15:06Speaker 8: you gonna do now you got feeling? Boy, listen to me.
- 1:15:10Speaker 8: You've been having feelings. Stop talking about you these girls friends.
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: She don't play she don't play video games, she don't
- 1:15:19Speaker 8: play sports. Okay, y'all don't talk trash, she don't smoke cigars.
- 1:15:25Speaker 8: He kissed them nog How y'all friends, stop saying that
- 1:15:31Speaker 8: you've been liking the girls. Just go up to it
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: and say, Hey, look what happened the other night. I
- 1:15:39Speaker 8: just want to be real, honest with you. I just
- 1:15:42Speaker 8: felt like it's long overdue. I've been having these feelings
- 1:15:46Speaker 8: for so long, but I didn't want to cross the
- 1:15:48Speaker 8: line because I didn't want to be running the risk
- 1:15:50Speaker 8: of losing you as a friend. But now that we've
- 1:15:54Speaker 8: done that, I just want to be honest with you
- 1:15:57Speaker 8: that it really meant something to me. I can't get
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: it out of my mind. I think about it day
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: and night. I've always felt this way about you. My
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: only hope is that you would return the favor to me. God,
- 1:16:11Speaker 8: I think we could have something so incredibly beautiful. We've
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: been friends so long, we know each other's secrets. I
- 1:16:18Speaker 8: love to take this to the next level. I think
- 1:16:20Speaker 8: we could be a power couple. Wow, I ain't got
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: hot and bothered in.
- 1:16:36Speaker 12: That. It was.
- 1:16:43Speaker 8: Because I'm from an era where you had to have
- 1:16:45Speaker 8: a conversation with a woman, because it weren't on cell phones.
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: I had to put something on your head. It's so
- 1:16:53Speaker 8: good that you couldn't wait to see me again. In
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: case the other three dudes that like you saw you
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: till the next time I saw you, my comments and
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: statements had to withstand the pressure of the mother dudes
- 1:17:05Speaker 8: out here, so I had I came with pressure.
- 1:17:09Speaker 10: M okay, all right, well, all right, all right, JJ,
- 1:17:14Speaker 10: hopefully you took uncle.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Steven there, I'm spot on, Bill, Yeah you are. We
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: do have time for another one, Steve.
- 1:17:21Speaker 10: This is from Tye on Facebook, who says what's the
- 1:17:24Speaker 10: downside of getting a tattoo on my ring finger in
- 1:17:27Speaker 10: place of a wedding ring? For me, the benefits are
- 1:17:31Speaker 10: that I'll never lose it, it's cheaper, and it looks
- 1:17:34Speaker 10: cooler than a corny piece of jewelry. Friends are telling
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: me not to do it, with their main reason reasoning
- 1:17:40Speaker 10: being what if it doesn't work out. I tell them
- 1:17:43Speaker 10: that I'm not getting married with the intention of getting divorced,
- 1:17:46Speaker 10: so that's not an issue for me.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: So beyond that, is there really a downside? Well, here's
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: the deal, bro.
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: You can't take it off and put it nowhere, because
- 1:17:57Speaker 8: it's going to come in time. No matter who you are,
- 1:18:01Speaker 8: You're gonna want to take it off and.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Put it down so much.
- 1:18:09Speaker 8: You meet somebody that you gonna try to tell you
- 1:18:14Speaker 8: not married. Naw, you got this tattoo on.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: You, your ring finger, corny piece of jewelry, had it
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: advise you.
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: I'm gonna get this corny piece of jewel put it
- 1:18:30Speaker 8: off so you can take it off. Okay, I've said
- 1:18:35Speaker 8: three times I do for the rest of my life,
- 1:18:45Speaker 8: and I didn't.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: All right, I'm taking that thing off. Morning show.
- 1:18:54Speaker 10: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:01Speaker 10: Have you guys heard about Miss Mildred. Miss Mildred in
- 1:19:05Speaker 10: some pain right now. She is a seventy six year
- 1:19:07Speaker 10: old woman in Pennsylvania. She is desperately trying to find
- 1:19:11Speaker 10: the two point six million dollar lottery tickets she left
- 1:19:15Speaker 10: in the pocket of the jacket that she donated to
- 1:19:18Speaker 10: the Vietnam Veterans of America charity.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: God yeah, yeah yeah.
- 1:19:24Speaker 10: She realized that she matched the lottery numbers, but remembered
- 1:19:27Speaker 10: she had left the ticket in the pocket of a
- 1:19:30Speaker 10: jacket she donated. She also learned that the charity sends
- 1:19:33Speaker 10: its donations out across the country and even overseas, and
- 1:19:38Speaker 10: had no way to track her jacket. The Pennsylvania Lottery
- 1:19:41Speaker 10: told Miss Mildred there was no way to claim the
- 1:19:44Speaker 10: prize without the physical ticket in hand. The ticket expires,
- 1:19:49Speaker 10: yet she has until May eighth to get it back.
- 1:19:51Speaker 10: Maybe somebody will be nice and find it and give it.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Think you not give its about two million? Uh huh
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: two point six million?
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: I can't How.
- 1:20:04Speaker 8: Do I find that ticket? I send her a thousand
- 1:20:06Speaker 8: dollars every years a line. Yeah, she wasn't gonna have
- 1:20:10Speaker 8: nothing a minute ago.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm very generous of you. Yeah, I can't know.
- 1:20:16Speaker 8: The story behind it. If I find the ticket is mine.
- 1:20:19Speaker 8: But if I know it's Miss Milder's too, in all honesty,
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: i'd give it to him. If I get that jacket,
- 1:20:27Speaker 8: that's my jacket and my ticket. I ain't got nothing
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: to do with Miss mild I'm gonna give it to us,
- 1:20:33Speaker 8: so I don't block no blessings, all right?
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Come on, I find that jacket and that ticket, that
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: is a blessing.
- 1:20:39Speaker 10: I'm sorry, we'll play around it, would you rather? Right
- 1:20:42Speaker 10: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:22:23Speaker 8: Right there? Yeah, cutting through Mississippi. I'd have been over there.

- 1:22:34Speaker 1: You're gonna go hiking?
- 1:22:38Speaker 7: No?
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: I don't want to do that either. Walking on. There's
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: a lot of snakes in that canyon. Oh you know,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I'm a lot of animals in the wow. Yeah all right.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: Would you rather have no teeth for the rest of
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: your life?
- 1:22:53Speaker 10: Or would you rather have shark teeth, shark teeth, shark
- 1:22:58Speaker 10: teeth or just no teeth.
- 1:23:02Speaker 8: I'm gonna get me some. I'm gonna give me some
- 1:23:04Speaker 8: dentches and some poly din. Gonna try to ride it out.
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: I can't hit the shot. I bite my tongue too much.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: I can't handle that. You know how you bite your yall?
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the inside and you bite it again. Oh yeah,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I do chewing gum. Yeah, always bite it twice. Yeah
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: all right. Oh when you bite it the second time,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: you'll be so mad at you. Yeah all right. Would
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you rather have very big feet? You're a very small hands. Sorry,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: I don't know why she's doing that. To do that.
- 1:23:42Speaker 8: They got the little raccoon hands, that's why. Shame you
- 1:23:46Speaker 8: got raccoon hand and baby doll feet. Hard one day,
- 1:23:53Speaker 8: I'll put my hand up in here. They put it
- 1:23:54Speaker 8: in the Jip magazine.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Man, I became me when he was at a live remote.
- 1:24:02Speaker 8: He put his head up. My hands ain't small? Hold up, homie,
- 1:24:07Speaker 8: No want to don't want to put your hands right here?
- 1:24:09Speaker 8: Look at my hands compared to my head. Look, yeah, yeah,
- 1:24:15Speaker 8: I got big hands. I was palming basketball in high schools.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Oh wow, I do that. Oh you couldn't looking from

- 1:24:42Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:47Speaker 8: Hey, look, you can't let the urge to sing your
- 1:24:50Speaker 8: favorite songs while you're driving distract you from that truck
- 1:24:53Speaker 8: drifting toward your lane or that lane splitting biker creeping
- 1:24:58Speaker 8: up beside you. Fortunately, everynday offers advanced safety features that
- 1:25:02Speaker 8: can alert you to potential dangers around.
- 1:25:05Speaker 11: That's right, because Hondai is always working to ensure the
- 1:25:08Speaker 11: road doesn't get you. Hondai vehicles have one over one
- 1:25:10Speaker 11: hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety awards from two thousand
- 1:25:14Speaker 11: and six to twenty twenty four as of December twenty
- 1:25:18Speaker 11: twenty four.
- 1:25:19Speaker 10: All right, Steve, here, we are our last break of
- 1:25:21Speaker 10: the day. We had a caller earlier who has something
- 1:25:25Speaker 10: to say to you. Let's play that.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Let me here, shall we?
- 1:25:29Speaker 9: Steve Harvey dismisses his explicity for you.
- 1:25:31Speaker 15: I just heard part of your broadcast about you opening
- 1:25:34Speaker 15: the website.
- 1:25:35Speaker 9: Seeing don't say that.
- 1:25:36Speaker 15: You know you're like a role model, but you speak
- 1:25:39Speaker 15: any bodies hues were like them, ain't.
- 1:25:42Speaker 9: And earlier in the broadcast he was talking about.
- 1:25:43Speaker 15: Murals, scruples, values, and reference to two sisters screwing the
- 1:25:50Speaker 15: same guy? Where are your murals and values for being
- 1:25:54Speaker 15: an impactful, positive role model for younger kids? You and
- 1:26:00Speaker 15: courage mentally talented or underserved black kids to use broken English.
- 1:26:06Speaker 9: You should be ashamed of yourself.
- 1:26:08Speaker 8: Do better, man, you know, uh, I got this call
- 1:26:12Speaker 8: and it's funny to me how people are you gotta do?
- 1:26:16Speaker 13: Better?
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: Man?
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: First of all, I was taught by my father, if
- 1:26:21Speaker 8: you are going to say something, then be a man
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: about it. Number one rule of manhood my father taught
- 1:26:27Speaker 8: me was do what you say you gonna do. These
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: are my closing remarks today.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: So in honor of the call.
- 1:26:35Speaker 8: First of all, brother, I accept your critique, but it
- 1:26:40Speaker 8: would admit more to me had you said your name,
- 1:26:44Speaker 8: because see what amazes me about people is when you
- 1:26:47Speaker 8: come for famous people, you use it because you finally
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: get to say something to the famous person. But you
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: want to do yours in anonymity. You want to live
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: yours in obscurity. You wanna stay behind the scenes, you
- 1:27:00Speaker 8: wanna throw the rock from behind the bushes.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Say your name.
- 1:27:07Speaker 8: Now you're telling me that I, as a person, are
- 1:27:12Speaker 8: to be shamed of myself and do better because I'm
- 1:27:15Speaker 8: supposed to be a role model for people, but I
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: use words like them and ain't. And then you're talking
- 1:27:22Speaker 8: about these two women that was sleeping with the same man.
- 1:27:24Speaker 8: Where are your mails and your scruples? You got to
- 1:27:28Speaker 8: be more impactful for young people? Do I really well?
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: I've had a minoring camp for fifteen years.
- 1:27:37Speaker 8: We more women more than that. What am I talking about?
- 1:27:41Speaker 8: I've had my minoring camp seventeen over twenty some years.
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: I have impacted thousands of young boys and young girls' lives.
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: I put my money where my mouth is. I spend
- 1:27:58Speaker 8: more money on my minoring camp then I do on
- 1:28:02Speaker 8: just about anything. People don't know that because I get
- 1:28:06Speaker 8: very little corporate support. I get very few donations. I
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: want to think of people like Lows and Coca Cola
- 1:28:13Speaker 8: has helped me over the years. Choice Hotels has helped
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: me over the years. You know, people like that Lexus
- 1:28:22Speaker 8: who has supported my menory in camp through the golf tournament.
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: Stuff like that. A lot of people have, but it's
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: not to the tune where it completes the deal. I
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: gotta put a lot of money up for that.
- 1:28:34Speaker 11: Now.
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: I understand what you're saying, brother, but I'm not here
- 1:28:37Speaker 8: to impact how you talk. I'm how to impact. I'm
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: here to impact how you live. I don't care how
- 1:28:43Speaker 8: you talk. Talking is not a measure of success to me.
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: To be well spoken. I guess that's a cool thing.
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: I ain't saying you shouldn't be well spoken, but I'm
- 1:28:55Speaker 8: telling you right now, and you can see by my
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: work on television, radio or wherever you listen to me
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: at it ain't a criteria for success. But if you
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: want to make it that, that's fine. If I was
- 1:29:04Speaker 8: an English teacher, I guess I wouldn't be able to
- 1:29:06Speaker 8: do it. If I was a professor, if I was
- 1:29:08Speaker 8: standing up in front of people speaking in a classroom setting,
- 1:29:11Speaker 8: I guess I wouldn't be able to make it. I
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: speak well enough to get the point across. But at
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: the same time, dog, you do know I'm a comedian.
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: That ever crossed your mind, And I'll say that again,
- 1:29:28Speaker 8: that ever crossed your mind? Dat that that ever crossed
- 1:29:33Speaker 8: your mind? And to be honest with you, brouh, I
- 1:29:38Speaker 8: don't really care. I don't try that hard to speak proper.
- 1:29:43Speaker 8: It ain't really that important to me. The importance to
- 1:29:47Speaker 8: me is the message. And when it's time for me
- 1:29:50Speaker 8: to deliver the message, I'll stand on that. Oh, I'll
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: stand on that. Nat A, that is a bug And
- 1:29:59Speaker 8: it's not even spell that way. It really starts with
- 1:30:01Speaker 8: the K. But I stand on that because Nat right there,
- 1:30:05Speaker 8: that is a little pesky ass instinct, just like your
- 1:30:09Speaker 8: phone call was what caller?
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: That what starts with the letter G, not K, no, no,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: no gnat. That's what I was talking about. Pronounce the
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: gnat gn a T. Who knew that? Why would I
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: pronounce a letter that you is silent? See right there, that's.
- 1:30:39Speaker 8: The logic I've been living on the whole time, Caller,
- 1:30:44Speaker 8: That's the logic I've been living on.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: Why would I care to spell a word that got
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: a letter in it that's silent.
- 1:30:52Speaker 13: Phone ain't really supposed to be with no p pH.
- 1:30:57Speaker 13: It's supposed to be with the f really don't eight
- 1:31:01Speaker 13: you do. The left white folks fool you all these years.
- 1:31:05Speaker 13: You've been listening to them tell you all the wrong information.
- 1:31:10Speaker 13: That's why you are where you are and why I
- 1:31:12Speaker 13: am where I'm his.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: That's why.
- 1:31:17Speaker 8: Because done broke the rules. I don't decided I wasn't
- 1:31:24Speaker 8: fitting to be normal, fitting them.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: Normal.
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: I was gonna be different. They don't pay nobody to
- 1:31:32Speaker 8: be normal. You are paid to be different. Steve Harvey
