- 0:14Speaker 2: forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Good Saturday morning to you, Ben Ferguson, with you, and
- 0:20Speaker 3: these are some of the stories that you may have
- 0:22Speaker 3: missed that we talked about this week on the forty
- 0:25Speaker 3: seven Morning Update. First up, the FBI is turning on
- 0:29Speaker 3: the deep state that went after Donald Trump with a
- 0:31Speaker 3: real FBI investigation of what they were doing that may
- 0:36Speaker 3: have been illegal against the President. Also, Elon must send
- 0:40Speaker 3: out an email to government employees saying, Hey, what did
- 0:44Speaker 3: you actually do at work last week? Justify having a job.
- 0:49Speaker 3: And finally, Marco Rubio says enough already ripping the United
- 0:54Speaker 3: Nations and many of the warhawks that they are obsessed
- 0:56Speaker 3: with keeping the war going between Russia and Ukraine. It's
- 1:00Speaker 3: a forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Story number one, The Federal Bureau of Investigations has now
- 1:07Speaker 3: officially told the world that they are investigating a secret
- 1:11Speaker 3: honeypot operation that targeted President Donald Trump's twenty sixteen presidential campaign.
- 1:19Speaker 3: That according to a recent report, the FBI director Cash Battel,
- 1:24Speaker 3: who was recently confirmed and sworn in, and the FBI
- 1:27Speaker 3: Deputy Director Dan Bongino are reportedly looking for two female
- 1:32Speaker 3: agents who took part in an off the book investigation
- 1:37Speaker 3: quote unquote that former FBI Director James Comy launched in
- 1:40Speaker 3: twenty fifteen. This, according to the Washington Times, the agents
- 1:46Speaker 3: who were undercover were called quote honeypot agents, a term
- 1:51Speaker 3: that refers to an undercover operative, usually a woman with
- 1:55Speaker 3: sexual or romantic interests, used to obtain information from a target. Again,
- 2:02Speaker 3: this coming from the Washington Times. Now, this comes after
- 2:06Speaker 3: The Times previously reported in October of twenty twenty four
- 2:10Speaker 3: that the House Judiciary Committee was looking into a whistleblower's
- 2:14Speaker 3: claim that the agency targeted Trump soon after he announced
- 2:18Speaker 3: his presidential campaign and June of twenty sixteen, in what
- 2:23Speaker 3: was described as a phishing expedition to quote find something
- 2:28Speaker 3: in a protected disclosure, the whistleblower, an FBI agent, claimed
- 2:32Speaker 3: that two undercover agents had infiltrated Trump's presidential campaign. Remember
- 2:39Speaker 3: when Donald Trump said his campaign was spied on. Well.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Apparently they were sending in attractive females to try to
- 2:45Speaker 3: get in tell or to set up the president again.
- 2:49Speaker 3: This was during his campaign run to become president in sixteen,
- 2:53Speaker 3: and had been instructed these women to act as quote
- 2:57Speaker 3: honeypots while traveling with Donald gim Trump. According to the outlet,
- 3:01Speaker 3: the agent quote personally knew that mister Komy ordered an
- 3:06Speaker 3: FBI investigation against mister Trump and that mister Comy quote
- 3:10Speaker 3: personally directed it quote unquote. According to the disclosure, the
- 3:15Speaker 3: off the book's investigation did not appear to target a
- 3:19Speaker 3: specific crime either, but was more of what agents would
- 3:22Speaker 3: describe as a phishing expedition to find something find anything
- 3:28Speaker 3: that could be used against Donald Trump. The outlet also
- 3:33Speaker 3: noted that the whistleblower's disclosure claimed that the investigation was
- 3:37Speaker 3: different from Crossfire Hurricane, which targeted Russian quote collusion. We
- 3:43Speaker 3: all know that was obviously a big lie. Bright Bart
- 3:46Speaker 3: News also previously reported that during Trump's first term in office,
- 3:50Speaker 3: he ordered more documents from Operation Crossfire Hurricane to be declassified.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I determined that the materials in that binder should be
- 3:58Speaker 3: declassified to the maximum extent possible. Is what Donald Trump
- 4:03Speaker 3: said in twenty twenty one. Now, there's many that are
- 4:06Speaker 3: going to say this is Donald Trump going after his
- 4:09Speaker 3: quote political enemies. If you look at the facts, it's
- 4:12Speaker 3: very clear that's not the case. In reality, this is
- 4:15Speaker 3: the FBI investigating a secret honeypot operation targeting Donald Trump's
- 4:21Speaker 3: campaign and trying to alter the outcome of an election.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Next story number two.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Imagine being at work and receiving an email from your
- 4:30Speaker 3: boss asking you to state, what did you do last
- 4:33Speaker 3: week in your job? What were the last five things
- 4:36Speaker 3: you did? And knowing that you don't have a very
- 4:39Speaker 3: good answer. Well, for many government employees, that is exactly
- 4:43Speaker 3: the email they received. Elon Musk, leading the Department of
- 4:47Speaker 3: Government Efficiency under Donald Trump send an email to all
- 4:51Speaker 3: US federal employees with a subject line, what did you
- 4:55Speaker 3: do last week? The email, dispatched late Saturday a afternoon,
- 5:00Speaker 3: instructed employees to provide five bullet points summarizing their work
- 5:05Speaker 3: achievements from the previous week by midnight on Monday. Must
- 5:09Speaker 3: warn that failure to respond would be interpreted as a resignation.
- 5:15Speaker 3: This directive has led to quote, confusion and pushback within
- 5:19Speaker 3: various federal agencies. Some departments, including the State Department of
- 5:23Speaker 3: the FBI, have advised their employees to pause or refrain
- 5:26Speaker 3: from responding to the email, citing concerns over confidentiality and
- 5:31Speaker 3: proper chain of command. But the largest group of federal
- 5:34Speaker 3: workers is being told that it is time for them
- 5:38Speaker 3: to tell Elon Musk and those a doge exactly what
- 5:42Speaker 3: they're doing now. Don't worry. Many in the government are
- 5:45Speaker 3: fighting back. The largest federal workers union criticized the move,
- 5:49Speaker 3: labeling it cruel and disrespectful. Must defended the email, stating
- 5:54Speaker 3: it aligance with Donald Trump's directive to adopt a more
- 5:57Speaker 3: aggressive approach in evaluating federal employee productivity. Must suggest it
- 6:02Speaker 3: that the requirement was a basic measure to ensure accountability
- 6:06Speaker 3: and identify potential inefficiencies within the government workforce. The situation
- 6:11Speaker 3: has sparked a broader debate about the treatment of federal employees.
- 6:16Speaker 3: That is what Democrats are fighting back with, saying that
- 6:19Speaker 3: this is a method of harassment instead of performance. They
- 6:24Speaker 3: also are now stating there are quote concerns about legality,
- 6:28Speaker 3: respect and the potential impact on morale and national security.
- 6:33Speaker 3: At the end of the day, it's pretty clear that
- 6:35Speaker 3: Elon Musk isn't going to take debit on any of that,
- 6:37Speaker 3: and the President of the United States of America is
- 6:40Speaker 3: also making it clear that if you're one of these
- 6:42Speaker 3: woke individuals that can't handle a basic email asking you
- 6:47Speaker 3: what did you do at work last week, then maybe
- 6:49Speaker 3: it's time for you to resign and get the hell
- 6:52Speaker 3: out of the government.
- 6:53Speaker 2: And here is story number three.
- 6:54Speaker 3: One of the things that's really important that we are
- 6:57Speaker 3: going to be covering on this show each and every
- 6:59Speaker 3: day is when there is clearly propaganda that is being
- 7:03Speaker 3: used against the Trump administration. This may be one of
- 7:07Speaker 3: the biggest flashpoints so far. In the first six weeks
- 7:10Speaker 3: of his administration, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a
- 7:14Speaker 3: resolution condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Ninety three countries voted
- 7:20Speaker 3: in favor, eighteen against, including the United States and Russia.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Now this immediately turned into propaganda, anti American propaganda, anti
- 7:32Speaker 3: Trump propaganda, saying that Donald Trump is now siding with Russia.
- 7:38Speaker 3: It's easy to buy into that headline if you don't
- 7:40Speaker 3: actually understand the story or why the American government decided
- 7:45Speaker 3: to say no to condemning Russia. At the United Nations.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, ripped the United Nations as
- 7:55Speaker 3: antagonistic and warmongerers trying to keep the Ukraine Russia war
- 8:00Speaker 3: continuing on and on forever. I want you to hear
- 8:04Speaker 3: what the Secretary of State said about this vote so
- 8:08Speaker 3: that you understand the real story behind it.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Take a listen of news today, the United States voted
- 8:15Speaker 1: against a europe led resolution at the United Nations to
- 8:21Speaker 1: condemn Russia for the invasion of Ukraine, and then later
- 8:24Speaker 1: a US led resolution passed the Security Council. Talk to
- 8:29Speaker 1: us about what happened there at the.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Yeah, well, on the broader resolution, we think the UN
- 8:33Speaker 4: needs to get if it's going to be useful in
- 8:35Speaker 4: the twenty first century. The UN needs to get back
- 8:36Speaker 4: to its charter mission, which is the prevention in the
- 8:38Speaker 4: ending of war in conflict.
- 8:40Speaker 5: And so we felt everyone knows.
- 8:42Speaker 4: You know, you can go back and read the newspaper
- 8:44Speaker 4: articles over the last three years and figure out what
- 8:46Speaker 4: happened in Ukraine. But now, as the President's made very clear,
- 8:49Speaker 4: President Trump wants to end this war. He thinks far
- 8:51Speaker 4: too many people have died and he wants to bring
- 8:53Speaker 4: it to an end. So we didn't feel it was conducive, frankly,
- 8:57Speaker 4: to have something out there at the UN that's antagonistic
- 9:00Speaker 4: against either side. We're trying to get these guys to
- 9:01Speaker 4: the table, and unfortunately Ukraine didn't agree. They wanted to
- 9:05Speaker 4: move forward on theirs. We then went to the Security
- 9:07Speaker 4: Council with our compromise, which I think is a very
- 9:09Speaker 4: fair language, and it basically says war is a terrible thing.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I mean, I'm paraphrasing and I'm being simplistic, but it
- 9:15Speaker 4: says war is a terrible thing.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Way too many people have died.
- 9:19Speaker 4: This war needs to end in a way that's enduring,
- 9:21Speaker 4: an essence echoing President Trump's view of what this conflict
- 9:26Speaker 4: needs to be and reminding the United Nations at the
- 9:29Speaker 4: purpose of the United Nations was the prevention of war
- 9:32Speaker 4: and the ending of conflicts, not making it harder to
- 9:35Speaker 4: end conflicts. So I thought it was good that we
- 9:38Speaker 4: got it done at the Security Council. The Russians didn't
- 9:40Speaker 4: veto it, which is a good sign. I'm not telling
- 9:42Speaker 4: you that that is going to end this conflict, and
- 9:44Speaker 4: I can't wait till at least the Phonic is there,
- 9:46Speaker 4: because it'd be great to have her leadership. But I
- 9:49Speaker 4: certainly think our language is better language, and hopefully further
- 9:53Speaker 4: is the cause of peace.
- 9:54Speaker 1: President Trump today alongside French President Emanuel Macron, said that
- 9:59Speaker 1: he hopes it that this can be resolved in a
- 10:01Speaker 1: matter of weeks, not months. Weeks. What are some of
- 10:06Speaker 1: the major steps that we need to take to get
- 10:08Speaker 1: to that point.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Well, I think the President would want it to end yesterday, right.
- 10:11Speaker 4: He thinks already too many people have died, There's been
- 10:13Speaker 4: too much destruction. By the way, I think everybody should
- 10:15Speaker 4: be very happy that President Trump is a peace president.
- 10:17Speaker 4: We have a president that wants to end wars, not
- 10:20Speaker 4: start new ones. He wants to end human suffering, not
- 10:23Speaker 4: exacerbated or extended. Now that said, it's a conflict, it's
- 10:27Speaker 4: a war, and it's going back and forth. We got
- 10:29Speaker 4: to get them both to the table, starting with the Russians.
- 10:32Speaker 4: So we met with him last week and the basic
- 10:34Speaker 4: question of that meeting was are you interested in ending
- 10:36Speaker 4: this conflict or not?
- 10:37Speaker 5: A lot of people don't know the answer to that.
- 10:38Speaker 4: If you talk to some in Europe, they'll tell you
- 10:40Speaker 4: that Putin is not interested in ending the war. They
- 10:43Speaker 4: said they would be under the right conditions. We didn't
- 10:45Speaker 4: discuss what those conditions were. So the next step now
- 10:47Speaker 4: is to meet with them again at some point, with
- 10:49Speaker 4: the right group of people in the room, and begin
- 10:51Speaker 4: to outline what would it take for Russia to stop
- 10:54Speaker 4: a war. And obviously we got to ask Ukraine the
- 10:56Speaker 4: same question, because you can't stop a war unless both
- 10:59Speaker 4: sides agreed to it. So whether it takes days or
- 11:02Speaker 4: weeks or what have you, we're going to begin that process.
- 11:05Speaker 4: It may not work out, but why would anybody criticize
- 11:07Speaker 4: President Trump for wanting to end a war that's cost
- 11:10Speaker 4: billions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of lives, and tremendous
- 11:13Speaker 4: and ongoing human suffering.
- 11:15Speaker 3: You listen to what Marco Rubio said there, and now
- 11:18Speaker 3: you understand exactly why they decided to not try to
- 11:21Speaker 3: antagonize two countries. You're wanting to get to the table
- 11:25Speaker 3: to end the war. Now, the media is not going
- 11:28Speaker 3: to tell you this part of the story. They're not
- 11:31Speaker 3: going to play for you what I just played from
- 11:33Speaker 3: you for Marco Rubio. And this is exactly why I say,
- 11:36Speaker 3: I hope you take the information that I give you
- 11:38Speaker 3: every day here and you give it to others that
- 11:41Speaker 3: you know, because without all of us telling the story,
- 11:44Speaker 3: the media will continue to lie and win.
