- 0:00Speaker 1: And we've brought in a dozen people so far, and
- 0:03Speaker 1: they're all pointing the finger at other people. The ones
- 0:07Speaker 1: that I think may have a little more knowledge. They
- 0:09Speaker 1: played the fifth to avoid self incriminations.
- 0:12Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Have you Labor Day? It is nice to have you
- 0:18Speaker 3: with us on the forty seven Morning Update, And we've
- 0:20Speaker 3: got two big stories for you. Big things happening in Washington,
- 0:23Speaker 3: DC on Capitol Hill. First up, Republicans are leading the
- 0:27Speaker 3: way investigating the crime stats of Washington, d C. Which
- 0:31Speaker 3: may have been altered or fabricated to make it look
- 0:34Speaker 3: like the city was actually safer than it really was. Also,
- 0:39Speaker 3: big names coming to Capitol Hill, as James Comber is
- 0:42Speaker 3: also sharing what he described as unprecedented details surrounding the
- 0:47Speaker 3: Biden autopen investigation. What did he reveal? I have it
- 0:51Speaker 3: all for you. It's the forty seven Morning Update and
- 0:54Speaker 3: it starts right now.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 0:57Speaker 3: If you're a Democrat, what is the easiest way to
- 1:00Speaker 3: make crime go down? Well, apparently it's not actually fighting crime.
- 1:04Speaker 3: You just change and alter the stats to make it
- 1:06Speaker 3: look like a city is getting safer. We now know
- 1:09Speaker 3: that the Congressional Oversight probe is official, and the House
- 1:13Speaker 3: Oversight Committee, led by Representative James Comer, has launched an
- 1:17Speaker 3: investigation into what they described as quote disturbing allegations that
- 1:22Speaker 3: the DC Metropolitan Police Department intentionally manipulated crime data to
- 1:28Speaker 3: paint a rosier picture of public safety than what the
- 1:31Speaker 3: reality was on the ground. Another way of putting it
- 1:34Speaker 3: is they would change and alter the way they would
- 1:37Speaker 3: report on serious crimes to make you feel like it's
- 1:41Speaker 3: safer of a city than it really was. How do
- 1:43Speaker 3: we know this? It was a blower reportedly told the
- 1:46Speaker 3: committee that crime statistics were manipulated on a widespread basis
- 1:51Speaker 3: and that the direction of supervisory officials potentially affecting all
- 1:57Speaker 3: seven patrol districts in the District of Columbia. The Justice
- 2:01Speaker 3: Department has a criminal inquiry now in the US Attorney's
- 2:05Speaker 3: Office for the District of Columbia under US Attorney Janine Pirino,
- 2:09Speaker 3: you know as Judge Janin from Fox News Channel, has
- 2:12Speaker 3: initiated a criminal investigation into whether the DC police officials
- 2:18Speaker 3: systematically quote altered crime reports to artificially suppress violent crime rates.
- 2:26Speaker 3: This probe was triggered by the suspension in May of
- 2:29Speaker 3: the commander who led the third District in DC and
- 2:33Speaker 3: is accused of downgrading serious instances such as stabbings and
- 2:37Speaker 3: carjackings to make the crime stats look better. Which brings
- 2:41Speaker 3: us to James Comer. He went on Fox News Channel
- 2:44Speaker 3: and a linked the interview explaining exactly what's going on.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I want you to hear what he had to say.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Take a listen to this.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Furthering President Trump's efforts to crack down on crime in
- 2:54Speaker 4: our nation's capital. According to a report, House Republicans already
- 2:58Speaker 4: with a slew of crime bills. The House Oversay Committee
- 3:02Speaker 4: is also launching an investigation into possible crime data manipulation.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Here now with more House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, Chairman,
- 3:12Speaker 4: thanks so much for joining us. Most people don't realize,
- 3:15Speaker 4: but the chairman of the OVERCAI committee has jurisdiction on
- 3:17Speaker 4: the White House. They also have jurisdiction on Washington, d C.
- 3:20Speaker 4: So this idea that these crime data had potentially been manipulated,
- 3:27Speaker 4: what have you seen? Where is this going? What are
- 3:30Speaker 4: you looking for?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Well, first of all, for those of us who have
- 3:32Speaker 1: lived in Washington, d C. Over the past several years,
- 3:35Speaker 1: especially the past twelve months, we don't see any reduction
- 3:39Speaker 1: in crime. But yet that's been the talking point for
- 3:41Speaker 1: the liberal media, for the Democrats in Washington because they
- 3:45Speaker 1: knew that President Trump campaigned and said he would do
- 3:47Speaker 1: whatever it takes to get the crime crisis under control
- 3:50Speaker 1: in Washington, d C. So lo and behold the Washington
- 3:53Speaker 1: d C. Statisticians come out and say, oh, crime's down
- 3:57Speaker 1: fifty percent, carjackings are down fifty percent, when we see
- 4:00Speaker 1: on the news every day multiple carjackings, homicides every day.
- 4:04Speaker 1: The employees in our congression officers look out the window
- 4:08Speaker 1: at all hours of the night and see kids running
- 4:10Speaker 1: around spray painting, breaking things, stealing things. What we see
- 4:15Speaker 1: is not what the statistics reflected. So we've seen time
- 4:19Speaker 1: and time again where Democrats collude with people in the
- 4:23Speaker 1: government who do things like the census and do things
- 4:26Speaker 1: like recorded statistics, that we have reason to believe that
- 4:30Speaker 1: they've been lying about these statistics to have a talking
- 4:33Speaker 1: point to try to prevent Donald Trump from doing exactly
- 4:36Speaker 1: what he's doing, and that is sending the National Guardian
- 4:39Speaker 1: to control the out of control crime in Washington, d C.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So that's one thing we're working on the other thing,
- 4:44Speaker 1: as you mentioned, we're working with the White House now
- 4:46Speaker 1: on several bills that were pertaining to reining in the
- 4:51Speaker 1: out of control crime in Washington, d C. This is
- 4:53Speaker 1: based on a city that has passed excessive criminal justice
- 4:57Speaker 1: reform to the point to where you don't get arrested
- 5:00Speaker 1: unless you commit a murder. And we've seen time and
- 5:02Speaker 1: time again people get caught for carjacking in the morning,
- 5:05Speaker 1: they get let out, and by that afternoon and evening
- 5:08Speaker 1: they've tried to carjack again. So these are the issues
- 5:11Speaker 1: we're working with the White House, and I think September
- 5:13Speaker 1: is going to be a very busy month for the
- 5:15Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee as we work with President Trump to
- 5:18Speaker 1: try to pass legislation to reduce crime in Washington, d C.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Oh.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Yeah, you want to see liberals and Democrats square and
- 5:24Speaker 4: wait till these bills start coming up on the floor.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Are you going to vote in favor of or against?
- 5:29Speaker 4: You know, cash list fail and these types of debates
- 5:32Speaker 4: on the floor are just going to be right because
- 5:33Speaker 4: there's one party that's for law and order, that's Republicans.
- 5:36Speaker 4: There's one party that's against it, that's the Democrats. And
- 5:39Speaker 4: when you all start putting those bills up on the
- 5:41Speaker 4: floor and you have to fort and you force people
- 5:43Speaker 4: to vote, that's going to be highly entertaining, and not
- 5:47Speaker 4: just entertaining, it'll be illumative. It'll illuminate the problem and
- 5:50Speaker 4: the difference between the political parties. One last quick question, Chairman,
- 5:56Speaker 4: is this also these crime statistics. I look at Chicago,
- 5:59Speaker 4: I look at al a A, California. I don't believe
- 6:02Speaker 4: that what they're doing is that something else that the
- 6:05Speaker 4: committee can get after, because the crime stats, I'm telling you,
- 6:09Speaker 4: they don't get they're not on there if they don't
- 6:11Speaker 4: get reported, and then they brag about how crime is down.
- 6:14Speaker 4: But everybody knows that's not true.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Everybody knows it. Whether you're in Louisville, Kentucky, whether you're
- 6:19Speaker 1: in Chicago, Illinois, all the big cities in America are
- 6:22Speaker 1: facing a crime crisis. Because we have liberal prosecutors, we
- 6:25Speaker 1: have liberal judges. We've taken criminal justice reform to the excesses.
- 6:30Speaker 1: People aren't being held accountable for crimes. Therefore more people
- 6:34Speaker 1: are committing crimes. I think if we can prove that
- 6:37Speaker 1: Washington d C. Has been dishonest with their statistics. We'll
- 6:41Speaker 1: take this show on the road to other cities because
- 6:43Speaker 1: we've got to get serious about crime. The American people
- 6:46Speaker 1: expect somebody to do something about it. The Democrats aren't
- 6:48Speaker 1: doing anything about it. President Trump is, and the Republicans
- 6:51Speaker 1: in Congress hopefully will be too.
- 6:52Speaker 3: You notice one of the most important things that was
- 6:54Speaker 3: said there by James Comer was We're going to take
- 6:56Speaker 3: this show on the road. He is echoing with the
- 6:59Speaker 3: President of United States America has said, if Democrats refuse
- 7:02Speaker 3: to keep Americans safe, federal government is going to do
- 7:04Speaker 3: everything in their power to actually keep you safe, and
- 7:07Speaker 3: they're not going to back down now.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Story number two, the Joe.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Biden autopen investigation continues to heat up. The headlines describe
- 7:16Speaker 3: exactly what the game plan is of those that were
- 7:19Speaker 3: around Joe Biden and just how massive the cover up
- 7:23Speaker 3: actually is. Whether it's the AP saying quote Joe Biden
- 7:27Speaker 3: ad invokes fifth to decline testimony and investigation, or the Guardian,
- 7:32Speaker 3: Republican leading inquiry into Biden's autopen use, has digitally signed letters,
- 7:37Speaker 3: or even the Daily Beast James Comer announces new investigation
- 7:41Speaker 3: into Biden over the use of the auto pen Well,
- 7:44Speaker 3: we now have new information as James Comer sat down
- 7:47Speaker 3: with Fox News Sunday, and here is part of what
- 7:51Speaker 3: he had to say about it. The assessment that Biden
- 7:53Speaker 3: staffords are deliberately refusing to answer questions about the autopen
- 7:59Speaker 3: use and providing extraordinary levels of obfuscation. Now James Comer
- 8:05Speaker 3: seems to be really hammering in on the facts and
- 8:08Speaker 3: continuing to press the investigation into whether Biden used an
- 8:11Speaker 3: autopen to sign documents like pardons, raising major concerns about
- 8:17Speaker 3: who may have truly been in charge during the final days, weeks,
- 8:21Speaker 3: or months of the Joe Biden presidency. Now, in May
- 8:25Speaker 3: of this year, Comer initiated a fresh probe. He issued
- 8:28Speaker 3: letters to key aids, including many of those close to
- 8:32Speaker 3: the president in non political roles, for example, like Biden's physician,
- 8:36Speaker 3: doctor Kevin O'Connor, and warning of subpoenas if they don't cooperate.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Fast forward to June of this year, testimony from several
- 8:45Speaker 3: raised major red flags, some admitting limited direct interaction with
- 8:50Speaker 3: Biden and no insight into the autopen approval process, suggesting
- 8:55Speaker 3: a total lack of transparency or oversight. And then the
- 9:00Speaker 3: fifth Amendment invocations continued. On July sixteenth, a former aide
- 9:06Speaker 3: to First Lady Joe Biden invoked the Fifth Amendment during
- 9:10Speaker 3: his Oversight Committee appearance, becoming the second such individual in
- 9:14Speaker 3: the probe to do so. Comber responded by stating that
- 9:17Speaker 3: the public is concerned about unaccountable decision making within the
- 9:22Speaker 3: White House. In other words, who was actually in charge.
- 9:26Speaker 3: The bottom line is clear. Representative Comer asserts he now
- 9:30Speaker 3: has unprecedented evidence of a cover up involving the autopen
- 9:35Speaker 3: use and Biden's cognitive decline. Now, this is what he
- 9:40Speaker 3: had to say on Fox Sunday Morning. Take a listen.
- 9:43Speaker 5: This week, the House Oversight Committee is set to continue
- 9:46Speaker 5: its investigation into Joe Biden's mental fitness during his presidency
- 9:50Speaker 5: when former White House Deputy Assistant Andrew Bates sits down
- 9:54Speaker 5: for an interview on Friday. Former White House Press Secretary
- 9:57Speaker 5: Kareeine Jean Pierre, and former White House Chief of Staff
- 10:01Speaker 5: Jeff Desience are also slated to peer before the committee
- 10:04Speaker 5: in coming weeks. Joining me now with more on his
- 10:07Speaker 5: investigation into former President Biden in the Chairman is the
- 10:11Speaker 5: chairman of the House Oversight Committee. Congressman James Comer, it's
- 10:15Speaker 5: great to have you with us this morning.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Welcome.
- 10:17Speaker 5: I want to get the latest on the investigation, Congressman,
- 10:20Speaker 5: but also what we've heard so far. Key figures, taking
- 10:23Speaker 5: the fifth Key figures that day after day said that
- 10:27Speaker 5: Biden was totally fit and ready to.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Do the job.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Now saying they really didn't spend that much time with him.
- 10:34Speaker 5: The testimony doesn't add up with what we saw. Something
- 10:39Speaker 5: is awry.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Here, something's definitely a right look. When you have Ian SAMs,
- 10:43Speaker 1: who was the face of the White House response to
- 10:48Speaker 1: the very damaging report that said that Joe Biden was
- 10:53Speaker 1: a forgetful old man. He was the face of the
- 10:56Speaker 1: White House response to our investigation Byron Donalds and myself
- 11:00Speaker 1: as well as all the members of the House Oversy Committee,
- 11:02Speaker 1: when we found that China had in fact wired money
- 11:05Speaker 1: to LLC's owned by Biden family members. He was the
- 11:09Speaker 1: one that would always respond and see he talked to
- 11:11Speaker 1: Joe Biden, Joe Biden was vibrant. Joe Biden did not
- 11:14Speaker 1: do this, the families doesn't. And then come to find
- 11:16Speaker 1: out when we put him under oath, he admits, well,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I only saw Joe Biden two times over a two
- 11:22Speaker 1: year period. That's unprecedented. We're trying to get to the
- 11:25Speaker 1: bottom of who was operating the autopen. I think what
- 11:27Speaker 1: you're going to see is less unless John Pierre and
- 11:31Speaker 1: some of these others come in and and you know,
- 11:34Speaker 1: tell us more. It's becoming very apparent that Joe Biden
- 11:38Speaker 1: really wasn't the one in command at the end of
- 11:40Speaker 1: his presidency. And that's important because you're talking about thousands
- 11:44Speaker 1: of pardons and dozens of executive orders that were signed
- 11:47Speaker 1: with that autopen, and it appears without President Biden's knowledge.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Very clearly James Comer sharing unprecedented details surrounding the Biden
- 11:56Speaker 3: not Open investigation and also what the White House is
- 11:59Speaker 3: doing whole people accountable as well. This is exactly what
- 12:03Speaker 3: so many Americans voted for and why I think there's
- 12:06Speaker 3: many in Washington right now, in the Deep State that
- 12:08Speaker 3: are very concerned about what's happening.
