- 1:29Speaker 1: The basketball court was just the beginning for my next guest,
- 1:31Speaker 1: retired NBA champion in fourteen year NBA vetter, having studied
- 1:36Speaker 1: history at the US to l A, the Sacramental Navy native,
- 1:39Speaker 1: has entered the investment world as an entrepreneur with a
- 1:42Speaker 1: bow vision that pushes all boundaries. His co owner of
- 1:46Speaker 1: a flower boutique, Ovine Very Tall productions, a juice ball
- 1:52Speaker 1: chain called Liquidology, h as h You Eat, and an
- 1:57Speaker 1: NBA licensing bedding line called Active Dreamers that allows the
- 2:01Speaker 1: league's biggest fans to decorate their rooms like a pro.
- 2:04Speaker 1: He has some more things we're gonna talk about as well.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I just wanted just to list that just let you
- 2:08Speaker 1: see you're talking to a real entrepreneur who's exited the
- 2:12Speaker 1: game as a from as a basketball star, now he
- 2:15Speaker 1: is a business star off the court. Please welcome to
- 2:17Speaker 1: money Making Conversations for the very first time, Matt Barnes, Hey,
- 2:22Speaker 1: thank you for having me. I appreciate that hey Man
- 2:25Speaker 1: had lay you out there, my friend, your starre uh
- 2:29Speaker 1: man trying to be trying to be so tell me
- 2:31Speaker 1: about you, h u E. Why why that name and
- 2:34Speaker 1: why did you get into the grooming line business? When
- 2:37Speaker 1: you said grooming, what does all that they tell? Because
- 2:39Speaker 1: I have a beard and a mustache. Yeah, so, Uh,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I was just someone who's always kind of taking part
- 2:46Speaker 1: of my appearance and uh, you know, kept a pretty
- 2:48Speaker 1: clean haircut and and and just kind of really trying
- 2:51Speaker 1: to always present myself, um to the best of my ability.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And about three and a half years ago, a company
- 2:58Speaker 1: out of base out of New York, but they ran
- 3:00Speaker 1: out of l A approached me about kind of being
- 3:02Speaker 1: an ambassador for their company. And you know, I looked
- 3:05Speaker 1: at their products and really like the products, like the
- 3:07Speaker 1: team they had behind them. So I took out an
- 3:10Speaker 1: ambassador role. But then also have you know, over the
- 3:13Speaker 1: past year kind of taking uh some equity and a
- 3:17Speaker 1: company as well and really pushing it as it's my own.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I think the men's grooming space is a really an
- 3:23Speaker 1: untapped market. Um. I feel that, you know, as men,
- 3:26Speaker 1: we care about our pearance, but it's kind of not
- 3:29Speaker 1: manly to speak on it. So we're kind of, you know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: start restart that conversation. You know, glooming yourself is very important. Um.
- 3:36Speaker 1: You know, I have two young tenor old twin boys
- 3:38Speaker 1: that you know, I'm teaching them how to become man
- 3:39Speaker 1: and grooving them. Grooming is a big part of that.
- 3:42Speaker 1: So we're just trying to, you know, restart the conversation
- 3:44Speaker 1: that there has had several years ago when our when
- 3:47Speaker 1: our fathers and our grandfathers used to teach our fathers
- 3:49Speaker 1: how to you know, take care of themselves, and I
- 3:51Speaker 1: think that's been lost of late. So we're trying to
- 3:53Speaker 1: restart that conversation. When you say that, is that from
- 3:56Speaker 1: the standpoint of an athlete because casual wear took over,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you know where you know, wearing a suit on, easter suit,
- 4:04Speaker 1: all that stuff kind of went out the window. Are
- 4:05Speaker 1: you talking about trying to elerate that game. Well, you know,
- 4:08Speaker 1: you're Shawn, come out there with a suit or just
- 4:10Speaker 1: like dad with a little three a little vast a
- 4:13Speaker 1: little town. I think, I think that it's a while
- 4:16Speaker 1: and then I think over the coast of course of
- 4:19Speaker 1: my career, I want to say, uh, you know, mid
- 4:21Speaker 1: two thousands, late two thousands, the NBA and forced to
- 4:24Speaker 1: you know, a different type of dress code, you know,
- 4:27Speaker 1: really bringing you know, kind of throwing casual were out
- 4:29Speaker 1: for the most party and being more business attire. Um.
- 4:33Speaker 1: And I think once the NBA started doing that, it
- 4:35Speaker 1: kind of caught on in other extremes and other professionals
- 4:38Speaker 1: as well. Um. So it's kind of a copycast situation
- 4:41Speaker 1: from that standpoint. But I'm both you know, off the court,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I'm very you know, sweatsuits and in shorts, um, but
- 4:48Speaker 1: also like to dress up, you know when the occasion
- 4:50Speaker 1: calls for it. Well it's really cool because you know,
- 4:53Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of the NBA and I see
- 4:55Speaker 1: the it's a big deal, not just to see the
- 4:57Speaker 1: players initors initor arena, right, you know, it's almost like
- 5:00Speaker 1: a fashion show. You know, they make a big deal
- 5:03Speaker 1: like the past, the shirt who right when when when
- 5:06Speaker 1: Lebron or those that that short suit the right, it
- 5:12Speaker 1: blew it up. So so what what's your fashion? What's
- 5:14Speaker 1: your fashion moment? There? Sir that well, what what's what?
- 5:17Speaker 1: What's your style? They're back? What style that you bring
- 5:20Speaker 1: to the tape um? Like I said, I'm in between.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I like to be business comfortable, so to speak. You know,
- 5:26Speaker 1: I I do enjoy putting on suits from time to time,
- 5:29Speaker 1: but for the most part, I just you know, I
- 5:31Speaker 1: really like to be cleaned up and present myself. Well,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I don't do it as much now that I'm retired,
- 5:36Speaker 1: because you know, I'm kind of my homebody now and
- 5:39Speaker 1: my kids and all I focus on this business, don't
- 5:41Speaker 1: When I do get a chance to step out and
- 5:43Speaker 1: you know, throw a suit on, I definitely enjoy doing that. Now,
- 5:47Speaker 1: this is interesting because you almost like a little black
- 5:51Speaker 1: shark tank because you got all these businesses, you know,
- 5:54Speaker 1: So how because what what? What? Because can you tell
- 5:58Speaker 1: me about your staff? Because I know you're not one
- 6:00Speaker 1: man operation? So how is this all being managed by
- 6:03Speaker 1: you and overseen by you? I actually have a three
- 6:07Speaker 1: person staff. Three other women besides myself kind of helped
- 6:11Speaker 1: me keep everything in order and everything that I either
- 6:14Speaker 1: invested into or became an equity partner owner and or
- 6:18Speaker 1: just stuffed that up. I'm inso in general, um, like
- 6:21Speaker 1: I said, the hu uh Men's groom in line, like
- 6:24Speaker 1: I said, I take pride to my appearance. Um, the
- 6:27Speaker 1: active dreamers betting where we can pretty much turn any
- 6:30Speaker 1: player into a into a comforter or a pillow. Um,
- 6:34Speaker 1: and something that my kids loves. You know what I mean?
- 6:35Speaker 1: And tell me again that you said any player you
- 6:40Speaker 1: know I got, I got have a shack shack uh
- 6:43Speaker 1: shack blank in any any current current separate deals, separate
- 6:48Speaker 1: deals with retired players. Think some of those guys are
- 6:50Speaker 1: harder to get than others, but any current players, by
- 6:52Speaker 1: the something turned into a bet set or pellow and
- 6:56Speaker 1: now something my kids really enjoyed. Um. Partnering up with
- 7:00Speaker 1: a Tall Productions you know, TV is something I've you know,
- 7:02Speaker 1: always liked into a separate interest in and kind of
- 7:05Speaker 1: more behind the scenes. Um, so that's something I enjoy
- 7:09Speaker 1: to do. And then Liquidology Vibe Health Bar. We have
- 7:12Speaker 1: three brick and mortar stores up northern Sacramento and it's
- 7:16Speaker 1: it's kind of our version of a juice bar Starbuck
- 7:20Speaker 1: so we kind of fear the new millennials are more
- 7:22Speaker 1: Houston coffee and it's really a big health kick. But
- 7:25Speaker 1: we do all fresh fresh juices, um, you know, wrap salads, um,
- 7:31Speaker 1: the Ahi bowls, all that kind of healthy h things.
- 7:34Speaker 1: So we kind of look at it as kind of
- 7:36Speaker 1: a Starbucks situation. So you come in, bring your laptop,
- 7:38Speaker 1: thing out, your friends, you know, eat some healthy food
- 7:40Speaker 1: and get some stuff done. Um. I'm also um an
- 7:44Speaker 1: activist on cannabis. U S firm believer in cannabis and
- 7:48Speaker 1: and and the powers of the plant. What if you
- 7:50Speaker 1: do to help not only adults, you know, but children
- 7:53Speaker 1: from a CBD standpoint of where you know, fin any
- 7:56Speaker 1: ways to cure these illnesses that we're pumping people from
- 7:59Speaker 1: opioids about. So everything you said, everything I have my
- 8:02Speaker 1: hands and I'm very passionate about out the day to
- 8:05Speaker 1: day uh situation anyway, So it's not it's not really
- 8:08Speaker 1: worth it. It's something I enjoy to do, but it
- 8:11Speaker 1: does take time to you know, manifest these things and
- 8:14Speaker 1: make them possible. Now, Mad, you know you're pretty intense
- 8:17Speaker 1: on the basketball court, you right, right, you know you
- 8:20Speaker 1: you you always you all on the basketball court I'm
- 8:23Speaker 1: just gonna let you know, this interview is not the
- 8:26Speaker 1: guy I've actually go seen on the basketball. You intense,
- 8:29Speaker 1: you're you're not you're not a big guy, but you can.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I use to worry, worry because you you know, you
- 8:34Speaker 1: use in their face. You know you wouldn't back down,
- 8:36Speaker 1: had to tat it up. And so I'm on the
- 8:39Speaker 1: phone talking to this calm you know father, the year
- 8:44Speaker 1: businessman man that I'm not. You do catch people off guard, now, don't.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Don't just this personality of people do. I think I
- 8:52Speaker 1: think that was a huge subsition of people thinking they
- 8:55Speaker 1: know who I am because they're gonna do it some move,
- 8:57Speaker 1: you know, to us, not on the court, and that's
- 8:59Speaker 1: really just that some creditive you know, no mad mad
- 9:05Speaker 1: mad baby, you gave becuse a little shoemac. We'll not see.
- 9:07Speaker 1: He just went back to the basketball. Cool, he just
- 9:10Speaker 1: went back. He just he immediately went back to the NBA.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I love it. I love it, but that but that
- 9:21Speaker 1: But you know, something to think about it is that
- 9:23Speaker 1: it's all good because we can blip that out. But
- 9:24Speaker 1: the thing about it that I love is that you
- 9:27Speaker 1: are your own man, and that's important that I'm listening
- 9:31Speaker 1: to all this. That's why before I even started, before
- 9:34Speaker 1: the break I told you, if you don't mind, I
- 9:36Speaker 1: want to get the photo of you, and I want
- 9:38Speaker 1: to I want to promote all your business on my
- 9:40Speaker 1: social media because these uh, these are uh these uh
- 9:46Speaker 1: people have about the idea of what you are then
- 9:49Speaker 1: and it can it can damage the opportunities you can
- 9:52Speaker 1: bring to others. So we're gonna go to the break
- 9:54Speaker 1: man and were gonna come back and we're gonna talk
- 9:55Speaker 1: about it. Because you ran through a lot of things
- 9:57Speaker 1: like very tall production. I want to break that down
- 10:00Speaker 1: a little bit more. And also the big the big
- 10:02Speaker 1: upside about you know, the athletes for cancer versus cancer.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I want to talk about that. And also I'm a
- 10:07Speaker 1: cancer survivor. So we'll be right back with more Matt
- 10:10Speaker 1: Barnes and his success. Hi. This ras Sean McDonald and
- 10:15Speaker 1: you're listening to money making conversation on the phone. Is
- 10:17Speaker 1: my man. Matt Barnes, having studied history of US to
- 10:20Speaker 1: l A the Sacramento Navy, has entered the investment world
- 10:23Speaker 1: as an entrepreneur with a bold vision and pushes all boundaries.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Were talking about his grooming line, the Flower, Bulti Boutique,
- 10:31Speaker 1: the Very Tall Productions of juice bar chain, uh, NBA,
- 10:34Speaker 1: licensed betting, uh cannabis. Uh. We're talking about his charities,
- 10:39Speaker 1: But I want to go back to this Very Tall
- 10:41Speaker 1: Productions because you talked about a little bit. What exactly
- 10:44Speaker 1: is very Tall Production? Is all your business located in
- 10:48Speaker 1: Sacramento or along the West coast? Um? I think the
- 10:52Speaker 1: majority actually all my business basically southern California. Very Tall
- 10:57Speaker 1: Productions exactually what we're going through a name change, and
- 11:00Speaker 1: that was the name of the production company. I had
- 11:02Speaker 1: teamed up with a good friend of mine, Ellen Racket,
- 11:04Speaker 1: and someone who I helped create open show Dr Hill
- 11:07Speaker 1: and a lot of shows in her her day. She's
- 11:09Speaker 1: kind of mentored me for the last seven or eight years.
- 11:12Speaker 1: So we just have some of my scripted and unscripted
- 11:14Speaker 1: television stuff we continue to work on. The late adventure
- 11:18Speaker 1: they had put out was a red table talk with J. D.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Peter Smith, which is, uh, you know, gonna Facebook's number
- 11:24Speaker 1: one shows? So really just a number one show? How
- 11:27Speaker 1: about that? Let's go to the number one what's that?
- 11:29Speaker 1: How about the number one show on Facebook? Oh? Is
- 11:32Speaker 1: it big number? Uh? I wasn't kindly one. But yeah,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I know they're doing great with them, you know, So
- 11:37Speaker 1: it's just then something you know that I felt interesting,
- 11:39Speaker 1: and you know, normally in this space, you know, athletes
- 11:42Speaker 1: will throw around, up, throw a bunch of money around.
- 11:45Speaker 1: We didn't lose it, but me, um, you know, being
- 11:48Speaker 1: able to go to u c. L A. Playing for
- 11:49Speaker 1: the Lakers and Clippers, I've really been able to meet
- 11:52Speaker 1: a lot of people in the studies. So I really
- 11:53Speaker 1: looked up to people that you know, I could be
- 11:56Speaker 1: mentored by and hopefully you know, miss some of the
- 11:58Speaker 1: potholes of mistakes. They ain't. So I'm big on learning
- 12:02Speaker 1: and just sitting and talking to people who have been
- 12:04Speaker 1: there and done that. And you know, obviously within that
- 12:06Speaker 1: creating my own you know, synopsis of it. But I'm
- 12:09Speaker 1: really big on just sitting down with people who who
- 12:12Speaker 1: have been there and done that. I never act like,
- 12:14Speaker 1: um need to learn or too old to learn. I mean,
- 12:17Speaker 1: I feel like I'm learning every day in this business
- 12:19Speaker 1: uh landscape, and it's exciting. So, man, have you been
- 12:23Speaker 1: approached by television hosting shows because you are? Are you
- 12:27Speaker 1: a good looking guy, You're articulate, and you got the
- 12:30Speaker 1: resume of an of an entrepreneur expert. Yeah, I'm actually
- 12:36Speaker 1: I'm doing a lot of corresponding work land now for
- 12:38Speaker 1: Yes TN and Fox Sports. Um. Um, in the process
- 12:42Speaker 1: of setting up my own podcast with the former teammate
- 12:44Speaker 1: of Mind, Stephen Jackson. Jackson Yeah yeah, Texas Texas Boar. Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: absolutely absolutely, that's my guy. Yeah. So when the classes
- 12:54Speaker 1: are starting, um are podcast as well, and then I
- 12:58Speaker 1: have been approached here there. Um actually if I having
- 13:01Speaker 1: my own show, Um, I'm in talk straight now by
- 13:04Speaker 1: having my own show from you know, the basketball court
- 13:06Speaker 1: to my activism in Canava spaces. So I'm in talks
- 13:09Speaker 1: of having my own show for that. So, like I said,
- 13:11Speaker 1: just kind of continuing to evolve and promote my my
- 13:15Speaker 1: my braind you know, really and reintroduce people to the
- 13:18Speaker 1: person they thought they knew, because I really feel like
- 13:20Speaker 1: they had no idea of who I was, uh, night
- 13:24Speaker 1: and day, from you know, the athlete to the father's
- 13:27Speaker 1: last businessman that I am. Now. Well, I noticed in
- 13:30Speaker 1: your resume that the whole concept of being a father
- 13:35Speaker 1: is important to you because you mentioned your sons four
- 13:37Speaker 1: times and I haven't even brought it up, just expoun
- 13:41Speaker 1: on that you got honored for being a father. Expout
- 13:44Speaker 1: on that the role of your son. And in this
- 13:46Speaker 1: era of hey, I'm afraid of what will happens the
- 13:50Speaker 1: police stop me? And you have two sons, so you
- 13:52Speaker 1: have to teaching them now the process and and how
- 13:56Speaker 1: to deal with now to be respectful and now how
- 13:59Speaker 1: to be humble in situations no matter whether they feel
- 14:02Speaker 1: wronged or not. Talk about being a two young men.
- 14:05Speaker 1: They there there there their sons to a successful African
- 14:10Speaker 1: American male. So they are high profile where they want
- 14:12Speaker 1: to to be or not to talk about that man, Um,
- 14:16Speaker 1: actually the father three sons. I just had my my
- 14:18Speaker 1: third son about four months ago named Assence, and now
- 14:21Speaker 1: I have three, uh, little man that that that I'm
- 14:24Speaker 1: coming to become businessman. But you know, like you said,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I think you know this and then not to knock anyone,
- 14:30Speaker 1: but I really think this this generation, now, these eighteen
- 14:34Speaker 1: six are kind of aimously lost in the last respect
- 14:38Speaker 1: and morals and and and guy tonight, I think it
- 14:41Speaker 1: comes from a lack of parenting. Um. You know, so
- 14:43Speaker 1: when I was fortunate enough to be able to come
- 14:45Speaker 1: a father, that was the one thing that came first
- 14:47Speaker 1: all the time Um, you know, after going to a
- 14:51Speaker 1: nasty divorce in my exile, just was rewarded full custody
- 14:54Speaker 1: of my twins November. So you know, full time dad.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Like I said, full time dad. Uh, taking the school
- 15:00Speaker 1: every day, get home, we do homework, you know, we practice,
- 15:04Speaker 1: we have dinner, we read, and we go to bed,
- 15:06Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So that's a that's a
- 15:07Speaker 1: daily rout from which I love. But within that, you know,
- 15:10Speaker 1: you teach them. Um, you know, day by day you
- 15:12Speaker 1: know what's right, what's wrong. And it's interesting now because
- 15:16Speaker 1: you know, with you really have to guard from having
- 15:19Speaker 1: the Internet raiser children, you know, because they're constantly on
- 15:22Speaker 1: the Internet and you don't really get you control that
- 15:24Speaker 1: stuff they see all the time. So I'm very upfront
- 15:28Speaker 1: and um, real and raw about what I tell my
- 15:31Speaker 1: kids because it's not sweet. No, we're fortunate enough to
- 15:34Speaker 1: live in getting communities and go to private school, but
- 15:36Speaker 1: the reality is the majority of society isn't that way.
- 15:39Speaker 1: So I really try to keep my kids humbled and
- 15:41Speaker 1: grounded and let them know right camp for them, let
- 15:43Speaker 1: them know where their mom came from and that that
- 15:45Speaker 1: we were extremely blessed. But everyone isn't so, like I said,
- 15:49Speaker 1: we really focus on giving back. I love to get
- 15:52Speaker 1: to the point now where you know the boys, you know, Dad,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I'm I don't play with this totally. I want to
- 15:56Speaker 1: donated or you know, I don't really choose anymore. I
- 15:58Speaker 1: want to donate them. So we really want to you know,
- 15:59Speaker 1: st us getting back and helping others. But then at
- 16:02Speaker 1: the same time realizing that, you know, my kids are Mexican, Black,
- 16:06Speaker 1: in Italian, you know, so they're they're they're they're by
- 16:08Speaker 1: racial and uh, we really have a lot of talks
- 16:11Speaker 1: about you know, the police, you know, police killing and
- 16:14Speaker 1: our minorities and why they getting though situations to begin with.
- 16:18Speaker 1: So it's it's it's really a fun challenge, um, you know,
- 16:21Speaker 1: on a daily basis, raisings you getting in. Uh you can,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I say, I'm speechless because you're special, man, you know,
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'm seriously I would just say, man, I don't know,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you don't you can do a podcast by yourself because
- 16:40Speaker 1: I know Steve and I bard now he my Bartner, okay,
- 16:44Speaker 1: but he gonna get in the way of who you are.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And when I say that is that you have levels.
- 16:50Speaker 1: And I don't know if you know my background, looked
- 16:52Speaker 1: me up ever Google with me. But when I talk
- 16:55Speaker 1: about talent and what talent can be, I am the truth. Okay,
- 17:00Speaker 1: you are very special from a standpoint of whenever you
- 17:03Speaker 1: launch your talk show or you launch anything about you
- 17:07Speaker 1: have to have levels. Okay. You can talk about it
- 17:10Speaker 1: from an athletic standpoint, which means that that's survival, that's
- 17:13Speaker 1: being consistent. That means doing things when you're not don't
- 17:16Speaker 1: want to do things. It's called time management. You can
- 17:19Speaker 1: talk about it from a startup entrepreneur standpoint. You can
- 17:22Speaker 1: talk about managing people. You can talk about relationships, whether
- 17:25Speaker 1: you mentioned the nasty divorce or according and you know,
- 17:30Speaker 1: raising two bars and then raising another new child, and
- 17:34Speaker 1: and then and then dealing with talking about these age
- 17:37Speaker 1: groups that you're not that far out of that age group,
- 17:40Speaker 1: by the way, I mean, I just turned but I'm
- 17:45Speaker 1: really still commuted, you know, I am thirty nine. I'm
- 17:48Speaker 1: really still connected. You're not that far away. About Fred
- 17:53Speaker 1: from twenty five that you just mentioned that because you
- 17:56Speaker 1: looking good and so so so, I would I would
- 17:59Speaker 1: say to you, is that before you to dive into
- 18:03Speaker 1: the podcast, think about you, because I think it's time,
- 18:06Speaker 1: you know, You've been a teammate all your life, okay,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and it's time to not It's time to be you.
- 18:11Speaker 1: It's time to be Matt what Matt wants to do.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Because I'm telling you right now, you can carry any
- 18:17Speaker 1: show you want because you have the ability to talk,
- 18:21Speaker 1: You have the ability from and see it. And I
- 18:23Speaker 1: really think it's important. You already got the sports that
- 18:25Speaker 1: you're doing Fox and ESPN, you're doing local to national
- 18:29Speaker 1: feeds and all that stuff. You got that. But I
- 18:31Speaker 1: think it's time for the world to hear you, just
- 18:34Speaker 1: like you're being heard on my show. The different layers
- 18:37Speaker 1: of maturity, Uh, that you are intense. Like you said,
- 18:41Speaker 1: you you didn't run from the fact that there's a
- 18:43Speaker 1: difficult life for your boys. You said, I think that's
- 18:46Speaker 1: gonna be fine. Have to be able to do with
- 18:48Speaker 1: that for me to be able to deal with the
- 18:50Speaker 1: nuances of God and my boys through life. You're not
- 18:53Speaker 1: running from that. And I think and I feel that
- 18:56Speaker 1: that's really important. I know you've never met me, but
- 18:58Speaker 1: I'm just letting you know that. Uh, when when you
- 19:02Speaker 1: didn't like and I've had some people on here talking
- 19:04Speaker 1: about business, I can tell immediately they just got their
- 19:06Speaker 1: name on it, okay, and uh, and you really are
- 19:09Speaker 1: actively involved in that. And so so with all that
- 19:12Speaker 1: being said, UH, stay in touch with me, man, because
- 19:15Speaker 1: I want to be able to if you can use
- 19:18Speaker 1: the word mentor. I have no problem that I don't
- 19:21Speaker 1: need your money. Okay, I'm just telling you. I just
- 19:23Speaker 1: want you to make the right decision. At this point,
- 19:26Speaker 1: at thirty nine, you're at that right age where when
- 19:29Speaker 1: you have a twenty year window in television because you
- 19:32Speaker 1: can carry that for the next twenty years and no difference.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Not told Nick Cannon in the same conversation, look at yourself,
- 19:38Speaker 1: look at the mirror, and say, hey, man, I'm a
- 19:39Speaker 1: bet on me. I'm a bet on me. It's time
- 19:43Speaker 1: for you bet on me. I I've warned I played
- 19:45Speaker 1: fourteen years with teammates, I won the championship with teammates.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I played college ball with teammates, high school. You know
- 19:52Speaker 1: this guy told me to bet on me. Let me
- 19:55Speaker 1: just hear what he had to And you need to
- 19:58Speaker 1: you you can't talk about all this stuff, man. UH
