Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome in his Verdicus Center.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Ted Kruz Ben Ferguson with you, and We've got a
- 0:05Speaker 2: lot to unpack on the show, especially when it deals
- 0:08Speaker 2: with the issue of Iran and where we are right now.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Well, Israel is winning massive victories in Iran that they
- 0:14Speaker 3: have decimated Iran's military leadership. We've seen one chief of
- 0:19Speaker 3: staff after another after another of Iran's military taken out
- 0:23Speaker 3: by Israel. We have seen nuclear facilities across Iran taken
- 0:28Speaker 3: out by Israel. The attacks have been incredibly effective. Iran
- 0:33Speaker 3: is striking back. They are firing ballistic missiles into Israel,
- 0:38Speaker 3: trying to kill civilians. Israel is attacking military targets, Iran
- 0:42Speaker 3: is attacking civilian targets. So far, the degree of success
- 0:46Speaker 3: has been spectacular.
- 0:48Speaker 4: But yet the question remains, what is America's role? What
- 0:53Speaker 4: do we do?
- 0:53Speaker 3: Is America as the Trump administration, going to be directly
- 0:57Speaker 3: involved in taking out the Ford Oh nuclear facility in Iran.
- 1:01Speaker 3: We're going to break that down in this podcast.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I want to also just talk to you real quickly
- 1:06Speaker 2: about what you can do to help the people in Israel.
- 1:09Speaker 2: And we've been talking for a long time about an
- 1:12Speaker 2: organization called the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. And
- 1:15Speaker 2: right now, after you're witnessing what is happening, you may say,
- 1:18Speaker 2: you know what, I want to stand with the people
- 1:20Speaker 2: in Israel and what we're saying it is disturbing Anti
- 1:23Speaker 2: Semitism on the rise, not just in the Middle East, but.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Even here in America.
- 1:28Speaker 2: We're seeing Jewish schools, they are being targeted, synagogues, they
- 1:31Speaker 2: are being threatened, Families that are living in fear, and
- 1:34Speaker 2: it's a whole nother level of pain that we're witnessing
- 1:38Speaker 2: in Israel. And that's why I want you to get
- 1:41Speaker 2: involved with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. They're
- 1:44Speaker 2: on the front lines and they're giving food and shelter
- 1:47Speaker 2: to so many displaced Jewish families that are under threat.
- 1:51Speaker 2: They're also literally as we speak, building bomb shelters just
- 1:56Speaker 2: for children to be able to save more children with
- 1:59Speaker 2: all of the rockets that are coming in. They're helping
- 2:02Speaker 2: survivors of hate rebuild their lives and their homes. And
- 2:06Speaker 2: they don't just respond to this crisis, they work every
- 2:09Speaker 2: day to prevent future crisis from even happening. Now, how
- 2:13Speaker 2: can you help, Well, you can have a simple gift
- 2:15Speaker 2: of just forty five dollars that will help support their
- 2:17Speaker 2: life saving work by providing food and sheltering so much
- 2:21Speaker 2: more so, if you want to stand with the people
- 2:23Speaker 2: in Israel, you can do it right now by getting
- 2:26Speaker 2: involved with IFCJ. You can call to make a donation
- 2:30Speaker 2: eight a eight four eight eight IFCJ. That's eight eight
- 2:34Speaker 2: eight four eight eight four three two five. You can
- 2:38Speaker 2: also give securely at IFCJ dot org. That's IFCJ dot org.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Every dollar helps. Don't wait. Be the difference IFCJ dot
- 2:48Speaker 2: org or eight at eight four eight eight IFCJ. All right,
- 2:52Speaker 2: So Center, you started your day very early dealing with
- 2:55Speaker 2: this issue of Iran.
- 2:56Speaker 1: First off, well I did.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I spent two hours in my office first thing this
- 3:01Speaker 3: morning doing an interview with Tucker Carlson. Now, you and
- 3:05Speaker 3: I both know Tucker well, we like Tucker. I agree
- 3:09Speaker 3: with Tucker on eighty percent of the issues. I think
- 3:12Speaker 3: he's been fantastic on a ton of issues. He's been
- 3:14Speaker 3: fantastic on securing the border. He's been fantastic on standing
- 3:18Speaker 3: up to COVID lockdowns, to standing up to COVID vaccine mandates.
- 3:22Speaker 3: He's been great on free speech. He's been great on
- 3:24Speaker 3: the Second Amendment. We agree, and in fact, I will
- 3:27Speaker 3: say during the idiotic COVID lockdowns, Tucker's monologue every night
- 3:32Speaker 3: on Fox was the single best thing on television, which
- 3:36Speaker 3: I told him at the time, and I agree with him.
- 3:39Speaker 4: I will say.
- 3:40Speaker 3: On foreign policy, Tucker has gone back crap crazy. He's
- 3:44Speaker 3: gone off the rails. He is suddenly a hardcore isolationist.
- 3:51Speaker 4: And so he asked.
- 3:52Speaker 3: He asked about a month ago, Hey, I'd like to
- 3:53Speaker 3: come interview, and I knew he was coming in to
- 3:57Speaker 3: interview me, and it was not going to be pleasant.
- 3:58Speaker 3: He disagrees with me on foreign policy, so we were
- 4:01Speaker 3: going to have in a rough and tumble fight. We
- 4:03Speaker 3: agreed to this interview a month ago. And yet it
- 4:07Speaker 3: ended up happening today, right when Israel and Iran are
- 4:10Speaker 3: in a war and Tucker has spent the last several
- 4:14Speaker 3: days attacking Donald Trump and saying Donald Trump was.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It was just really odd. Can we talk about that.
- 4:19Speaker 2: There's a lot of people that are shell shocked right now, saying, like,
- 4:22Speaker 2: what is happening? Tucker Carlson, who's usually hanging out with
- 4:25Speaker 2: Donald Trump during the campaign and up on stage, is
- 4:28Speaker 2: now attacking Donald Trump.
- 4:30Speaker 1: This is not what anyone was expecting.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yes, he's blasted Trump as complicit in this horrible attack,
- 4:36Speaker 3: and he keeps saying World War three is gonna happen.
- 4:39Speaker 3: And he's been just over the top. And I will
- 4:41Speaker 3: tell you we sat down, we did it in my office,
- 4:44Speaker 3: and it started off. Look, I did not intend to
- 4:47Speaker 3: get combative, but it started off his first question. He
- 4:50Speaker 3: was throwing haymakers at me, and he was coming at me.
- 4:53Speaker 3: And it was a two hour interview. The interview will
- 4:59Speaker 3: come out Wednesday at one pm, and so you can
- 5:02Speaker 3: watch the whole two hour interview. And he attacks Trump,
- 5:06Speaker 3: he blasts what he calls the APAC lobby, and he
- 5:09Speaker 3: spends twenty minutes focused on how he thinks the APAC
- 5:12Speaker 3: lobby is dominating American foreign policy. And I will tell
- 5:16Speaker 3: you it gets pretty rough.
- 5:17Speaker 2: And because I for people that, by the way, don't
- 5:19Speaker 2: know APAC, can you explain what that is?
- 5:22Speaker 3: So APAK is the American Israel Political Action Committee and
- 5:26Speaker 3: it is a group of Americans who care about standing
- 5:29Speaker 3: with Israel. And Tucker argued, they are a foreign lobby
- 5:35Speaker 3: working for the government of Israel that should register and
- 5:37Speaker 3: should be prosecuted for not being registered. And it was
- 5:40Speaker 3: just unhinged. And I get like their conspiracy sections of
- 5:45Speaker 3: the Internet that that that are worried that like Apak
- 5:48Speaker 3: is running the world.
- 5:49Speaker 4: It's just not reality.
- 5:51Speaker 3: And and and he didn't like like it when I
- 5:53Speaker 3: called him out on it, and and I did.
- 5:56Speaker 1: He also that there's.
- 5:58Speaker 3: A completely surreal portion where I pointed out that Iran
- 6:02Speaker 3: is actively trying to murder Donald J. Trump has hired hitman.
- 6:05Speaker 3: And he just said, that's not true. I've never heard
- 6:07Speaker 3: anything about it. I don't know anything about it. Well,
- 6:09Speaker 3: it happens to be a fact. It happens to be.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Do oj is indicted Iranian hitman for trying to murder
- 6:15Speaker 3: Donald Trump?
- 6:17Speaker 4: And and so that.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You know that. By the way, when you brought that up,
- 6:20Speaker 1: or was he refusing to accept.
- 6:22Speaker 3: He insisted I was lying. He was just like, that's
- 6:24Speaker 3: not true. So I'll say this Today's podcast is on Wednesday,
- 6:31Speaker 3: Friday's podcast. We're going to break down in depth this
- 6:36Speaker 3: interview because it's it's important that the foreign policy divide.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I think isolationists those who oppose And by the way,
- 6:45Speaker 3: I went back at Tucker and I said, Okay, is
- 6:49Speaker 3: there any military intervention that that that Trump has done
- 6:52Speaker 3: that you agreed with, and he wouldn't agree with anything.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And it's just in my view. And I lay this
- 6:58Speaker 3: out at length and listen Friday podcast, we're going to
- 7:00Speaker 3: do a deep dive. But traditionally there have been two
- 7:04Speaker 3: polls in Republican foreign policy analysis, interventionists and isolationists. I
- 7:09Speaker 3: think they're both wrong. I consider myself a third point
- 7:13Speaker 3: on the triangle. I am a non interventionist hawk. I
- 7:17Speaker 3: am very reluctant to engage in military conflict, just like
- 7:20Speaker 3: Trump is. But I also believe in peace through strength.
- 7:23Speaker 3: The best way you avoid war is being strong enough
- 7:26Speaker 3: your enemies don't want to stand up to you. And
- 7:28Speaker 3: I gotta say Donald Trump the first term. In the
- 7:31Speaker 3: second term, I am very hard pressed to think of
- 7:34Speaker 3: a single foreign policy decision that I disagree with. And
- 7:38Speaker 3: that's not accidental. I spend a lot of time talking
- 7:41Speaker 3: with the President, and on foreign policy, he has agreed
- 7:44Speaker 3: with me overwhelmingly. We're on the same page. Tucker is not.
- 7:48Speaker 3: He thinks Trump is wrong and if you listen to
- 7:50Speaker 3: the rhetoric, and he's right now as we're sitting there,
- 7:54Speaker 3: it is twelve twenty five am Tuesday night. He's putting
- 7:58Speaker 3: out little snippets like blast me and his views. Anyone
- 8:02Speaker 3: who wants to stand with Israel and stand up to
- 8:04Speaker 3: Iran is a crazy warmonger. I just I think that's wrong.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I don't think Trump is a crazy warmonger. I think
- 8:12Speaker 3: he's a strong commander in chief. I think he is
- 8:15Speaker 3: defending America. I think he's defending Israel, and I think
- 8:18Speaker 3: he's standing up to a theocratic zealot who wants to
- 8:21Speaker 3: murder as many Americans as he can and as many
- 8:23Speaker 3: Israelis as he can.
- 8:24Speaker 2: By the way, I will say that quote all day
- 8:26Speaker 2: that's been going through my head with this is your
- 8:28Speaker 2: my one of my favorite quotes of yours. When you
- 8:29Speaker 2: say we live in interesting times, and it is an
- 8:32Speaker 2: interesting day. When you and Donald Trump are together and
- 8:35Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson is against the two of you, we are
- 8:38Speaker 2: living in interesting times.
- 8:41Speaker 3: It's actually it's a quote. It's an old Chinese curse.
- 8:46Speaker 3: And so the Chinese curse is, may you live in
- 8:49Speaker 3: interesting times, and it's meant to be that that's going
- 8:52Speaker 3: to be a real problem. And I say all the time,
- 8:55Speaker 3: we do, we live in interesting times, and it means
- 8:58Speaker 3: the challenges facing America in the world are massive, but
- 9:01Speaker 3: also the opportunities are massive. And I got to say, I.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Love living where we are right now.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I think America, you know, President Trump has said we're
- 9:09Speaker 3: in a golden age. I think there's an enormous amount
- 9:12Speaker 3: of truth to that. We have a strong president who's
- 9:15Speaker 3: fighting for America, who's defeating our enemies, who's fighting for freedom,
- 9:19Speaker 3: who's fighting for free enterprise. We've got Republican majorities in
- 9:22Speaker 3: the House and Senate. It's an exciting time right.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Now, it really is.
- 9:25Speaker 2: So let's give an update, and obviously we're going to
- 9:27Speaker 2: deal with that interview on Friday, but let's get into
- 9:30Speaker 2: the matasa of what's happened in the last forty eight hours.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And a lot of it comes down to some news
- 9:37Speaker 2: that has obviously caught the world by surprise. Number one,
- 9:40Speaker 2: we know that the President said, where the leader of
- 9:43Speaker 2: Iran is, we could have taken out if you wanted to.
- 9:46Speaker 1: We've decided not to.
- 9:47Speaker 2: However, we may also be engaging and standing with Israel
- 9:52Speaker 2: in some sort of attack on Iran, and that would
- 9:56Speaker 2: specifically be on their nuclear program.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And let's break all that down as well.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:02Speaker 3: So if you look at what Israel is doing, they
- 10:06Speaker 3: have been surgical in their precision. They have taken out
- 10:09Speaker 3: senior military leaders. And by the way, if you didn't
- 10:11Speaker 3: listen to Monday's podcast, you should listen to Monday's pod.
- 10:15Speaker 3: We break down, we list all of the senior military
- 10:18Speaker 3: leaders they've taken out, one after the other after the other.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I mean, it is the leaders of the IRGC, it
- 10:24Speaker 3: is the chief of staff of the military.
- 10:25Speaker 1: It is.
- 10:26Speaker 3: It's at the point with where if you're an Iranian
- 10:30Speaker 3: military officer and they say, hey, Ben, you want to
- 10:33Speaker 3: be head of the Iranian military, your answer should be.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Hell, no, no, I'll pass on that.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yeah, because I'm dying in twenty four hours. Because Israel
- 10:41Speaker 3: has been so effective, they literally promote someone boom they're dead.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Promote someone, Boom, they're dead. And it's a little bit
- 10:48Speaker 3: it reminds me of when Israel did the pager operation
- 10:51Speaker 3: against Hesbla and the pager operation against Hesbla. Hesbela leadership
- 10:56Speaker 3: gave pagers to terrorists and an israel planet a little
- 10:59Speaker 3: bomb the pagers, they detonated them and it was the
- 11:03Speaker 3: most accurately targeted military attack I think in history. Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 3: because hesbel leadership decided who gets the pagers only the
- 11:13Speaker 3: people who were backcrap crazy enough that we want terrorists
- 11:17Speaker 3: able to page at a moment's notice to go kill people.
- 11:19Speaker 3: So they gave the pagers to them. They blew up
- 11:22Speaker 3: and they they either killed or wounded a ton of
- 11:26Speaker 3: hesbel A terrorists. The next day, Israel had a second
- 11:30Speaker 3: operation where they had walkie talkies that Hesbela was using,
- 11:33Speaker 3: and the walkie talkies had bombs in them and they
- 11:35Speaker 3: started exploding. And the beauty of it is hesbel A terrorists.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I think those guys were terrified at phone rings and
- 11:41Speaker 3: they jump and run screaming like. It was incredibly effective.
- 11:46Speaker 3: And I actually think what Israel is doing against the
- 11:47Speaker 3: military leadership is similar, where if you're an Iranian soldier,
- 11:53Speaker 3: you're looking around going wait, every time someone gets promoted
- 11:57Speaker 3: to run this thing, they die the next day. That
- 12:01Speaker 3: is fantastically effective in terms of limiting Iran's ability to
- 12:07Speaker 3: wage war, limiting Iran's ability to wage war against Israel,
- 12:10Speaker 3: limiting Iran's ability to wage war against America, limiting their
- 12:13Speaker 3: ability to sponsor terrorism. So that has been incredibly effective.
- 12:16Speaker 3: They're also taking out Iran's nuclear scientist. And so this
- 12:21Speaker 3: is all about you have a crazy iatola who is
- 12:25Speaker 3: a religious zealot who routinely chants death to America and
- 12:29Speaker 3: death to Israel, and he's trying to build nuclear weapons,
- 12:32Speaker 3: and he's trying to build ICBMs. And here's an important point,
- 12:35Speaker 3: ben on ICBM stands for an intercontinental ballistic missile. You
- 12:41Speaker 3: don't need an ICBM to get to Israel. Iran is
- 12:44Speaker 3: attacking Israel with ballistic missiles. On ICBM, the intercontinental aspect
- 12:50Speaker 3: of it is entirely to take a missile to America.
- 12:54Speaker 3: The reason Iran is building ICBMs is they want to
- 12:58Speaker 3: be able to carry a nuclear war head to the
- 13:00Speaker 3: United States of America and detonate it in the skies
- 13:04Speaker 3: of New York or Los Angeles or Washington, DC and
- 13:07Speaker 3: murder as many Americans as possible. And so President Trump
- 13:11Speaker 3: has been incredibly consistent saying Iran will not get a
- 13:17Speaker 3: nuclear weapon, period the end. And in fact, I want
- 13:22Speaker 3: to play a montage of a couple of minutes of
- 13:24Speaker 3: President Trump's saying this over the years. For more than
- 13:27Speaker 3: a decade he has said this line. And yet some observers,
- 13:30Speaker 3: including Tucker are acting shocked that President Trump is saying
- 13:34Speaker 3: Iran can't get a nuclear weapon. He has said this
- 13:37Speaker 3: without deviation for more than ten years.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Give a listen.
- 13:41Speaker 5: You cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. You cannot
- 13:45Speaker 5: let it happen because bad things will happen if that happens.
- 13:50Speaker 5: But everybody stopped. They were ready to make a deal.
- 13:53Speaker 5: We would have made a deal. It was great for everybody.
- 13:54Speaker 5: No nuclear weapons. You can't give them nuclear weapons. Now
- 13:57Speaker 5: they're gonna have a nuclear weapon.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Don't let Iran have nuclear weapons.
- 14:02Speaker 5: That's my only thing I have to tell you today.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Don't let them have it.
- 14:06Speaker 5: They would have never had them, including around we would
- 14:08Speaker 5: have They can't have a nuclear weapon, that's all. They
- 14:10Speaker 5: can't have nuclear weapons. It's too too destructive, too powerful.
- 14:15Speaker 1: They can't have it.
- 14:16Speaker 5: But I wanted to make a deal with them. No
- 14:18Speaker 5: nuclear weapons. You can't have nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons are
- 14:21Speaker 5: the single greatest threat to this world, to the whole world,
- 14:25Speaker 5: and Victor Orban understands that, and some others do too.
- 14:28Speaker 5: I just don't want them to have a nuclear weapon,
- 14:30Speaker 5: and they weren't going to have one, and they cannot.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Have a nuclear weapon. That was the only thing, the
- 14:35Speaker 1: one thing I said you cannot have.
- 14:37Speaker 5: I just didn't want Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
- 14:39Speaker 4: I said, you know, we're going to make a great deal.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Everybody's going to be happy, You're going to be rich
- 14:43Speaker 5: as hell again, everything's going to be great. But you
- 14:45Speaker 5: cannot have a nuclear weapon. You can't let Iran have
- 14:49Speaker 5: nuclear weapons.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Very simple. They cannot
- 14:54Speaker 1: have a nuclear weapon.
- 14:57Speaker 5: Instead, we have a very hostile country that wants nuclear weapons.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Can't let that happen.
- 15:05Speaker 1: The main thing is Iran can't have a nuclear weapon.
- 15:07Speaker 1: That was my main thing. The deal was a simple deal.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Iran can't have a nuclear you know, it can't have
- 15:13Speaker 5: a missile, can't have a nuclear missile. It cannot have
- 15:16Speaker 5: that nuclear capability.
- 15:18Speaker 1: You listen to president.
- 15:19Speaker 2: By the way, we've got another nine and a half minute,
- 15:21Speaker 2: so the President saying this over and over again.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah, the ship is sixteen minutes long.
- 15:26Speaker 4: So we literally cut it short.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I was like, look, we can't play a sixteen minute
- 15:29Speaker 3: clip on the podcast. But that is President Trump for
- 15:34Speaker 3: more than a decade. I'll tell you a story. So
- 15:36Speaker 3: back in the twenty sixteen presidential election, Trump and I
- 15:40Speaker 3: are running against each other. And I organized a rally
- 15:43Speaker 3: on Capitol Hill against the Obama Iran nuclear deal, and
- 15:49Speaker 3: we had thousands of people come out against it, and
- 15:51Speaker 3: I was saying, this is a terrible deal.
- 15:54Speaker 4: It will result in.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Iran getting a nuclear weapon. And I invited Donald Trump
- 15:58Speaker 3: to come to the rally, and Trump, look key and
- 16:01Speaker 3: I were running against each other. We were friends, but
- 16:03Speaker 3: we were opponents in that race. And so I remember
- 16:06Speaker 3: Trump showed up and he's like, Ted, why the hell
- 16:09Speaker 3: did you invite me to your rally? Like I don't understand,
- 16:13Speaker 3: Like we're running against each other, and you invited me
- 16:15Speaker 3: to your rally, And I said, I said, Donald, it's
- 16:18Speaker 3: real simple. When you show up, you bring a crap
- 16:20Speaker 3: ton of TV cameras and the press all covers it.
- 16:24Speaker 3: And I care about this issue, and if we do
- 16:28Speaker 3: not stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, we are
- 16:31Speaker 3: endangering the lives of millions of Americans. And so Trump
- 16:35Speaker 3: and I together, in the middle of the campaign where
- 16:37Speaker 3: we're campaigning against each other, we stood on the stage
- 16:40Speaker 3: together and said we agree, Iran cannot get a nuclear
- 16:44Speaker 3: weapon and America must do whatever is necessary to stop
- 16:48Speaker 3: Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. We were unified a
- 16:52Speaker 3: decade ago in that that has been Trump's consistent position.
- 16:55Speaker 3: So I've got to say it's remarkable watching the Tucker
- 16:58Speaker 3: Carlsons of the world react with shock. Why the hell
- 17:01Speaker 3: does Trump want to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon?
- 17:04Speaker 3: The reason is simple, and this is where look in
- 17:07Speaker 3: foreign policy. People think in a very binary sense. Either
- 17:10Speaker 3: you're an interventionist who wants to invade every country on Earth,
- 17:14Speaker 3: or your an isolationist who never wants to engage in
- 17:16Speaker 3: military force.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Both views are wrong.
- 17:20Speaker 3: The touchstone for military action should be protecting the vital
- 17:25Speaker 3: national security interests of the United States. The reason President
- 17:28Speaker 3: Trump is standing with Israel, Israel is doing a massive
- 17:32Speaker 3: favor to us. Every one of us should stop and
- 17:35Speaker 3: say thank you to the tiny nation of Israel. It
- 17:38Speaker 3: is the size of the state of New Jersey.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not big. A lot of people don't realize.
- 17:43Speaker 3: That it is tiny, and they are actively taking out
- 17:47Speaker 3: Iran's nuclear capability right now. And listen, those nuclear weapons.
- 17:53Speaker 3: If Iran developed them, there's a real possibility that would
- 17:57Speaker 3: be used against Israel, but there is at least an
- 18:00Speaker 3: equal possibility they would be used against America. To murder
- 18:03Speaker 3: millions of Americans. And so it's not America. Also, it's Israel.
- 18:08Speaker 4: It's taking this out.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and let's bring in this new aspect because this
- 18:12Speaker 2: is some of the breaking news that President Trump has
- 18:14Speaker 2: called for Rand's unconditional surrender and also called the Supreme
- 18:17Speaker 2: Leader out, saying, look, we know where you are. You're
- 18:21Speaker 2: an easy target. You might want to hurry up and
- 18:23Speaker 2: get a deal done here. Clearly, the President's not advocating
- 18:27Speaker 2: for regime change. What he is advocating for is making
- 18:29Speaker 2: sure that they never get a nuclear weapon.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Well, and I will tell you on the point that
- 18:34Speaker 3: he said we know where you are. He said it
- 18:36Speaker 3: in reference to protecting American servicemen and women. And when
- 18:41Speaker 3: this war broke out, we did a podcast that night
- 18:44Speaker 3: and we said, listen, every one of us should pray
- 18:48Speaker 3: for the people of Israel because we're going to see
- 18:50Speaker 3: a massive ballistic missile onslaught of Israel and we're going
- 18:54Speaker 3: to see a lot of Israelis killed.
- 18:56Speaker 4: You know.
- 18:56Speaker 3: I talked on Sunday night to a good friend of
- 18:58Speaker 3: mine whose mother is in Jerusalem right now now, and
- 19:01Speaker 3: he said, his mom, since this war started, he said,
- 19:04Speaker 3: she hasn't slept a night because every night they wake
- 19:06Speaker 3: up at two or three in the morning and they
- 19:08Speaker 3: rush the air raid sirens are going off. They rush
- 19:11Speaker 3: to a bomb shelter because they're facing incoming missiles constantly.
- 19:16Speaker 3: That's a hard circumstance. And so I will say to
- 19:18Speaker 3: all of our listeners, pray for the people of Israel.
- 19:21Speaker 4: That is hard.
- 19:23Speaker 3: They are doing this because the risk of an Iranian
- 19:26Speaker 3: nuclear weapon is a massive murder of Israelis, potentially on
- 19:31Speaker 3: the order of magnitude of the millions. So it is
- 19:33Speaker 3: the right thing for them to do. But Israelis are dying.
- 19:37Speaker 3: They're dying every day from because Iran is targeting civilians.
- 19:42Speaker 3: But secondly, old, let me make this other point, Ben Iran,
- 19:47Speaker 3: there is a real threat of Iran targeting American servicemen
- 19:50Speaker 3: and women. And we've got thousands upon thousands of servicemen
- 19:54Speaker 3: and women in the Middle East.
- 19:56Speaker 4: And I will tell you.
- 19:58Speaker 3: I called on Sunday, I called President try and I said, hey,
- 20:01Speaker 3: I just want to tell you thank.
- 20:03Speaker 4: You for what you're doing on Iran. In Israel.
- 20:05Speaker 3: You are doing an incredible job. In the last few days,
- 20:09Speaker 3: these have been some of the best days you have
- 20:12Speaker 3: had as president, because President Trump is standing unshakably with Israel,
- 20:16Speaker 3: which is where we should be. But he's also made
- 20:20Speaker 3: absolutely clear to Iran, if you attack American servicemen and women,
- 20:26Speaker 3: you will face a devastating response. And as you noted
- 20:28Speaker 3: the tweety scent, he said directly the Ietola, we know
- 20:32Speaker 3: where you are. And the point is clear if you
- 20:35Speaker 3: kill American servicemen and women. To be clear, Iran could
- 20:38Speaker 3: kill some of our soldiers. I mean they could fire
- 20:41Speaker 3: enough missiles that we would have active duty military killed.
- 20:45Speaker 3: And what Trump has said as the commander in chief
- 20:48Speaker 3: is if you do that, you are going to regret
- 20:51Speaker 3: it because we are going to strike back. You cannot
- 20:54Speaker 3: attack American active duty military. And thank god Trump is
- 21:00Speaker 3: being a strong commander in chief. Joe Biden could never
- 21:03Speaker 3: get that sentence out of his mouth. But President Trump
- 21:05Speaker 3: is protecting our servicemen and women. And I so I
- 21:07Speaker 3: called him on Sunday and just said, hey, thank you.
- 21:10Speaker 3: It's making a real difference protecting our servicemen and women.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Well, let's also talk about what's happened with the air
- 21:18Speaker 2: superiority or the lack of security that Iran actually had
- 21:24Speaker 2: over their own country. Yes, and and that could also
- 21:27Speaker 2: spell trouble for the leadership in Iran because now the
- 21:30Speaker 2: people may realize, wow, we may have been played by
- 21:34Speaker 2: these these these horrible leaders. And there is total air
- 21:38Speaker 2: superiority now by Israel or anybody that wants to to
- 21:41Speaker 2: go after Iran.
- 21:43Speaker 3: So Israel and potentially America have complete air superiority over Iran.
- 21:48Speaker 3: And Israel has taken out Iran's air defenses, so they're
- 21:51Speaker 3: not able to stop Israeli jets in the air, and
- 21:55Speaker 3: and and and the bombers are bombing the hell out
- 21:58Speaker 3: of As of two days days ago, there had been
- 22:00Speaker 3: over seven dred and twenty military strikes in Iran. The
- 22:04Speaker 3: numbers substantially higher now I don't have the current number,
- 22:07Speaker 3: but it was seven hundred and twenty two days ago.
- 22:10Speaker 3: And Iran is not able to do any thing about
- 22:12Speaker 3: it because their air defenses have been destroyed, and so
- 22:15Speaker 3: they're just sitting ducks. They're just and I will tell
- 22:18Speaker 3: you the dynamics. So there's a delicate question. Israel has
- 22:22Speaker 3: been able to and it actually has succeeded in taking
- 22:25Speaker 3: out a massive amount of the military leadership of Iran.
- 22:30Speaker 3: They have also succeeded in pounding the hell out of
- 22:34Speaker 3: Iran's nuclear facilities, like the Natan's facility, which is where
- 22:38Speaker 3: they do much of the nuclear enrichment. Israel has bombed
- 22:43Speaker 3: the living crap out of The one exception that Israel
- 22:47Speaker 3: is not able to take out is the four Doh
- 22:51Speaker 3: Nuclear Research Facility. Now four Doah is built literally in
- 22:55Speaker 3: the base of a mountain, and it was built into
- 22:58Speaker 3: a mountain particularly to withstand a bombing attack. And Israel
- 23:05Speaker 3: does not have the military hardware to take out FORIDA.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Their bombs are not big enough. America does we have
- 23:11Speaker 3: bunker buster bombs that are thirty thousand pounds, that are
- 23:16Speaker 3: massive bombs that can take out on underground, under mountain
- 23:21Speaker 3: nuclear facility like FIDA. Israel also does not have bombers
- 23:27Speaker 3: that are big enough to carry a thirty thousand pound bomb.
- 23:29Speaker 3: That's a big ass bomb. And so the B two
- 23:32Speaker 3: bomber which America has is big enough to carry that bomb.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Israel doesn't have bombers that big. And so one of
- 23:39Speaker 3: the open questions Israel is asked, America, will you fly
- 23:43Speaker 3: in the B two bombers and drop your bunker busters
- 23:47Speaker 3: on fourd Oh and take it out as you and
- 23:50Speaker 3: I sit here at twelve what is it, twelve forty
- 23:54Speaker 3: three am on Tuesday night, Wednesday morning. I do not
- 23:59Speaker 3: know if President Trump's going to do that. This is
- 24:02Speaker 3: being actively debated. It could by the time this podcast
- 24:06Speaker 3: comes out, it is possible that America will drop those
- 24:09Speaker 3: bunker busters. I think that is a real possibility in
- 24:13Speaker 3: the next few hours, in the next few days. And
- 24:16Speaker 3: and in my view.
- 24:18Speaker 2: With that being said, then I got to ask this
- 24:20Speaker 2: questions that people understand. I I said this earlier night
- 24:23Speaker 2: on Chris Cuomo's show, and I said on Pierce Morgan's show,
- 24:26Speaker 2: and I said, I'm Fox the same thing.
- 24:27Speaker 3: I am not in favor, but Ben, you're a lot
- 24:30Speaker 3: of lefty shows, peer, I'm fighting the commis every day.
- 24:35Speaker 3: You know, is like does Bernie Sanders have a show AOC,
- 24:39Speaker 3: like like are you going on with with She of China?
- 24:42Speaker 1: Trying to go on with Tucker next?
- 24:44Speaker 2: You know, and just see if I can, I can,
- 24:45Speaker 2: I can explain them what my foreign policy is. But
- 24:49Speaker 2: it's I'm not in favor of putting troops on the ground.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Donald Trump's on in favor of putting troops around.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Absolutely no, no, no, no troops on the ground.
- 24:58Speaker 2: So what we're advocating for is simply this. If America
- 25:01Speaker 2: gets involved, it would be to do exactly what you
- 25:04Speaker 2: just said. It would be to do what Israel can't do,
- 25:08Speaker 2: to take out a nuclear drop.
- 25:09Speaker 4: A couple of bombs.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Threat, Yes, to drop a couple of bombs, to drop
- 25:13Speaker 3: a couple of bombs that Israel can't like their bombs
- 25:16Speaker 3: are not big enough to take out Florida. And I
- 25:18Speaker 3: will say this from a perspective, my overwhelming touchstone is
- 25:25Speaker 3: what protects American national security interest, what keeps American safer.
- 25:29Speaker 3: It's America first. It's President Trump's foreign policy. That is
- 25:32Speaker 3: my foreign policy. And I will say when he and
- 25:35Speaker 3: I talked on Sunday, his comment when I was telling him,
- 25:38Speaker 3: you're doing a great job. What you're doing is fantastic.
- 25:41Speaker 3: As comment is, He said, Ted on foreign policy, you
- 25:44Speaker 3: and I are twins. And that's right. I agree with
- 25:48Speaker 3: him on foreign policy. The reason there is I think
- 25:54Speaker 3: a compelling argument for America to take out FIDAH is Florida.
- 26:00Speaker 3: They are doing research on nuclear weapons technology, they're trying
- 26:03Speaker 3: to develop nuclear bombs. They're not doing it because the
- 26:07Speaker 3: Iyatola thinks climate change is a problem and he wants
- 26:10Speaker 3: to create civilian nuclear power generation. It is entirely creating
- 26:14Speaker 3: a bomb that could murder millions of Americans or millions
- 26:17Speaker 3: of Israelis. They put it in the basement of a
- 26:20Speaker 3: mountain because they didn't want to be bombed. Only America
- 26:24Speaker 3: can take them out. And I got to say, I
- 26:27Speaker 3: think dropping those bombs, I have zero interest. We will
- 26:30Speaker 3: not send boots on the ground. We are not going
- 26:32Speaker 3: to invade Iran, and I have zero interest in coming
- 26:35Speaker 3: into the country and trying to turn it in into
- 26:38Speaker 3: a democratic utopia.
- 26:39Speaker 4: We don't. Look it would be.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Wonderful if Iran woke up tomorrow and it was Switzerland.
- 26:44Speaker 3: But I'm not willing to risk your children or my
- 26:48Speaker 3: children to go in and fight a war to make
- 26:51Speaker 3: that happen. It is a very different calculus to say,
- 26:55Speaker 3: should we drop a couple of bombs and take out
- 26:58Speaker 3: a lab and fasciacility where they're developing nuclear weapons to
- 27:02Speaker 3: murder Americans? And I think that's a compelling argument. And
- 27:06Speaker 3: I got to say, I think there's a real possibility
- 27:09Speaker 3: in the next few hours or days that's exactly what's
- 27:11Speaker 3: going to happen.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Final question on this, if Donald Trump does in fact
- 27:15Speaker 2: make this decision. I actually don't think this is a
- 27:17Speaker 2: tough decision or a hard decision. I think it's a
- 27:20Speaker 2: simple decision, as you described it. If we must protect
- 27:23Speaker 2: the homeland and we must protect our allies at the
- 27:25Speaker 2: same time, and we're both a target, and we know
- 27:27Speaker 2: what a RAM would do if they got a nuclear weapon,
- 27:30Speaker 2: and we know that even if they didn't do it,
- 27:32Speaker 2: they might give it to their proxies to do it
- 27:33Speaker 2: as well. You add all that up, I think this
- 27:36Speaker 2: decision is actually pretty clear. If the President does that
- 27:40Speaker 2: and we move forward. There's also this big obsession in
- 27:42Speaker 2: the media out there's some massive divide in the MAGA world,
- 27:45Speaker 2: and this is going to split the Republican Party. I
- 27:47Speaker 2: actually think that's going to be a blip and we're
- 27:49Speaker 2: going to move back on to all the issues that
- 27:51Speaker 2: we do agree on.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I'm not taking the bait on that. I want your
- 27:54Speaker 1: take on it as well.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Look, so I did Sean Hannity this evening, and Hannity
- 27:58Speaker 3: had a poll that came out that showed seventy five
- 28:02Speaker 3: percent of Americans agree with President Trump that we should
- 28:06Speaker 3: act against Iran to prevent them from getting a nuclear
- 28:09Speaker 3: weapons using, and the question in the poll was whatever
- 28:12Speaker 3: means necessary seventy five percent. I don't know that seventy
- 28:17Speaker 3: five percent of Americans agree on butterflies or rainbows or
- 28:22Speaker 3: peanut butter and jelly like, that's a big percentage in
- 28:26Speaker 3: today's divided world, and so it is frankly a handful
- 28:33Speaker 3: of people who are disagreeing. Tucker is really an outlier
- 28:36Speaker 3: on this. And I made the point, and we're going
- 28:39Speaker 3: to talk about this. Friday's pot is going.
- 28:40Speaker 4: To be all about this.
- 28:41Speaker 3: But Tucker used to be twenty years ago. Tucker was
- 28:45Speaker 3: a neo Khan interventionist who was a cheerleader for the
- 28:49Speaker 3: Iraq War, and he practically had on a short skirt
- 28:52Speaker 3: and pomp pumps. I think the Iraq War was a
- 28:55Speaker 3: catastrophic mistake, and so I think he was far too
- 28:59Speaker 3: intervention and Tucker does too. He thinks he was wrong,
- 29:02Speaker 3: and I respect that. Look, look, intelligent people will assess
- 29:07Speaker 3: change circumstances and be willing to change their position based
- 29:11Speaker 3: on the facts, and so I respect that he changes views.
- 29:14Speaker 3: But the point I made is he went from being
- 29:18Speaker 3: an interventionist far too eager to send in the Marines
- 29:21Speaker 3: to being an isolationist who says we should never ever
- 29:24Speaker 3: use the military, even when we've got a lunatic, theocratic
- 29:28Speaker 3: zealot who is trying to murder Americans and has murdered
- 29:31Speaker 3: hundreds of Americans, and and and so I actually think
- 29:35Speaker 3: that view is a really fringe view in America. It's
- 29:38Speaker 3: a fringe view in Maga, uh, and it's a fringe
- 29:41Speaker 3: view across the country. And and and I think the
- 29:45Speaker 3: American people want a president who's going to say we
- 29:48Speaker 3: will protect ourselves against people who want to kill us.
- 29:51Speaker 3: That's exactly what Donald Trump is doing.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah, well, don't forget that.
- 29:55Speaker 2: We will be doing another show on Friday, and that
- 29:57Speaker 2: will be a big show in response to the interview
- 30:00Speaker 2: with Tiger Carlson.
- 30:01Speaker 1: So make sure you join us for that. Hit that subscriber.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Auto download button as well, and make sure that you
- 30:07Speaker 2: don't miss a single episode. We do this Monday, Wednesday Friday.
- 30:09Speaker 2: We're also up on YouTube now as well, so if
- 30:12Speaker 2: you listen to shows on YouTube, you can do that
- 30:14Speaker 2: also in the center and I will see you back
- 30:15Speaker 2: here Friday morning.
