- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things. And it's tough. Good guy listening to
- 0:25Speaker 1: the movie together. Please, I don't join join me. You
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you go. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Turn You haven't got to turn them out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water. The water got me? Come come on your
- 1:59Speaker 1: fad uh huh, I sure will I come on and
- 2:04Speaker 1: everybody you are listening to the voice, come on dig
- 2:08Speaker 1: me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 1: here we go. You know what's important, What's what can
- 2:21Speaker 1: be a huge part of your success is if you
- 2:25Speaker 1: if you find a balance, if you find a balance
- 2:30Speaker 1: in your life. That's that's been very important for me.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And I've really never phrased it this way until now,
- 2:38Speaker 1: but I was kind of thinking about it after my
- 2:41Speaker 1: wife and I mean, we set up one night recently. Man.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know, I often come on here and this is
- 2:46Speaker 1: kind of an inspirational moment of the show, and I
- 2:49Speaker 1: try to remind people about that most important relationship between
- 2:54Speaker 1: you and God. And that's that's the apex of it.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That's that's the that's the top of the crime. You
- 3:00Speaker 1: gott to form the relationship with God. If you don't,
- 3:03Speaker 1: everything else struggles. It's hard to be a good husband
- 3:06Speaker 1: without God. It's hard to be a good family man
- 3:08Speaker 1: without God. It's hard to be successful without God. Man,
- 3:12Speaker 1: it's hard to be hard to get through this thing
- 3:14Speaker 1: called life without God. So that's clear. But at the
- 3:19Speaker 1: same time, you can't talk about God. Twenty four seven.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You got to go to work. Come on, man, let's
- 3:25Speaker 1: just be real. I ain't I ain't your past, and
- 3:27Speaker 1: I ain't at your church. But let's just be real
- 3:30Speaker 1: about it. You know, if people tell you got to
- 3:33Speaker 1: keep your mind stayed on Him and all like that,
- 3:34Speaker 1: that's that's a true statement. Gotta keep your mind stayed
- 3:38Speaker 1: in that area. I don't not here to tell you
- 3:40Speaker 1: how to live, but you got to keep your mind
- 3:41Speaker 1: stayed in that area of God, of doing the right thing,
- 3:44Speaker 1: caring about people. That's what I took it as. Now
- 3:46Speaker 1: I could be wrong. I apologize if I'm not saying
- 3:49Speaker 1: that the way you've been taught. I can only do
- 3:51Speaker 1: me now. But after that, you got to go to work.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You gotta have some fun. You gotta take care of
- 3:58Speaker 1: your business. And that's the balance you have to find.
- 4:03Speaker 1: So it once you focus on shooing up your relationship
- 4:07Speaker 1: with God, you gotta balance this now. Now, you got
- 4:13Speaker 1: to allocate some time I don't care who you are,
- 4:16Speaker 1: for your family. If you're gonna have a family, you
- 4:20Speaker 1: got to allocate some time for them. See, we can't
- 4:23Speaker 1: just marry these women or make these kids and then
- 4:26Speaker 1: neglect them and fellas, especially if I'm talking to me
- 4:30Speaker 1: about him, ladies, you can listen to, but listen. If
- 4:33Speaker 1: you find yourself struggling in your life, man, and you
- 4:36Speaker 1: can't seem to get it together, let's just go over
- 4:38Speaker 1: a couple of things. The first two things, if you
- 4:42Speaker 1: find yourself struggling, you can't seem to pull it together
- 4:44Speaker 1: and reach your goals and get to where you want
- 4:46Speaker 1: to go. Let's just do a check how is your
- 4:51Speaker 1: relationship with God? And then next how much time are
- 4:56Speaker 1: you taking to allocate for your family? Now, your family
- 5:01Speaker 1: don't always live in your house, but if you made them,
- 5:05Speaker 1: they yours and the responsibility to them is never lessing
- 5:09Speaker 1: because you don't stay that no more. Because you and
- 5:12Speaker 1: the girl broke up, you and the woman don't speak
- 5:15Speaker 1: a man that don't ever release you from the obligation.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Feel me when I'm telling you this now, because I'm
- 5:22Speaker 1: not telling you something I'm wondering about. I've had to
- 5:24Speaker 1: live through them years. So two things you can start
- 5:28Speaker 1: looking at. If you're not where you want to be,
- 5:30Speaker 1: and you ain't, you ain't really solid. You can't figure
- 5:32Speaker 1: out why you keep spending your wills. Have you just
- 5:35Speaker 1: done a random inventory? Man? Have you just checked on
- 5:37Speaker 1: your relationship with God? Have you checked on the time
- 5:41Speaker 1: you spending dedicated towards your family, your children that you've created?
- 5:45Speaker 1: If them two things is out of saint man, that
- 5:48Speaker 1: I can tell you right now, you can go on
- 5:50Speaker 1: and get to explain in yourself away just like that.
- 5:53Speaker 1: A man, how come you ain't where you want to be?
- 5:55Speaker 1: I'm couz man, I really ain't. But if you really ain't,
- 5:59Speaker 1: then you really ain't. The third thing is you got
- 6:02Speaker 1: to allocate the necessary time for your business. You got
- 6:07Speaker 1: to handle your business. All of this, man, it is
- 6:12Speaker 1: the way it works. And the order, the order is
- 6:18Speaker 1: God first, family second. Then you got to handle all
- 6:24Speaker 1: your business but as men, And this is what we do.
- 6:27Speaker 1: If I don't handle my business, I can't take care
- 6:31Speaker 1: of my family, true statement. But if your business is
- 6:34Speaker 1: in front of your family, you out of order. Nah.
- 6:38Speaker 1: That's all we're talking about, now, ain't it. See that's
- 6:40Speaker 1: that's all we really saying here now, fellas you know,
- 6:43Speaker 1: you know, I mean, I mean, come on, man, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 1: let's let's have a real conversation about being better. You know,
- 6:49Speaker 1: if you have created these children, you got to handle
- 6:51Speaker 1: your business. You may not like the girl no more.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You and the woman might have broken up, y'all might
- 6:56Speaker 1: go your own way, But what that got to do
- 6:58Speaker 1: with the child though? Man, you got to handle your business.
- 7:01Speaker 1: They got to know who daddy is. That's your obligation, man,
- 7:04Speaker 1: And God ain't letting you off the hook for that.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Try it, Go ahead and try it, and thank you.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Gonna get off the hook with that, because you're not man,
- 7:12Speaker 1: You just not. I'm sorry, man, dog Steve, why are
- 7:17Speaker 1: you coming like that? Because I did it like that?
- 7:21Speaker 1: I did it, man. I was over here trying to
- 7:23Speaker 1: reshape my life, getting myself up on my feet when
- 7:25Speaker 1: I was a homeless man and trying to come back. Man,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I thought I had to take care of me first
- 7:30Speaker 1: and then so I can neglect it. Care about them kids. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 1: That ain't high work. Man, God kelp us knee on
- 7:36Speaker 1: my neck for a long time for that one right there,
- 7:38Speaker 1: until I finally learned the lesson hold up man, put
- 7:42Speaker 1: these phone calls in, Go spend some time, do something.
- 7:46Speaker 1: And then it started turning around for me. You know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I can't beat there all the time because I am
- 7:51Speaker 1: out here on the ground in the hustle. But at
- 7:53Speaker 1: the same time, Man, some more phone calls, some more letters, somemohaha,
- 7:57Speaker 1: he he's something. Then take care of your business man.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You got to work hard to be successful. You know.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Sometimes I don't put that in there. I just live
- 8:08Speaker 1: in and I expect my sons to emulate that. But
- 8:11Speaker 1: I gotta talk to him all the time. How hard
- 8:13Speaker 1: you got to work to be something. It's all out
- 8:17Speaker 1: of salt on it. Man. If you gotta target in mind,
- 8:19Speaker 1: you gotta go. You gotta wake up every day trying
- 8:22Speaker 1: to get there. And you can't get tired of it
- 8:25Speaker 1: because it's it's it never ends. You're gonna always be
- 8:30Speaker 1: this way. That's how life is designed and set up.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You got to be a hard worker, man. If you're
- 8:36Speaker 1: always looking for some time to chill, and man, I
- 8:39Speaker 1: wanta go do what I want to do, you ain't
- 8:41Speaker 1: gonna make it. In order to be successful, you have
- 8:44Speaker 1: to do a series of things that you're uncomfortable doing,
- 8:47Speaker 1: and work is the thing that most of us are
- 8:50Speaker 1: uncomfortable doing. It's so much easier to chill, man. I
- 8:54Speaker 1: wish I could kick back with a cigar man all
- 8:57Speaker 1: the time, but I can't, man, and I can't because
- 9:03Speaker 1: I got to work. Then the last piece of the
- 9:09Speaker 1: balance balance piece is you gotta take some time out
- 9:12Speaker 1: to enjoy yourself. But if you ain't where you want
- 9:16Speaker 1: to be, you ain't got a lot of time to
- 9:19Speaker 1: enjoy yourself. Quit thinking, man, that this balance is even.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's a whole lot of God, a whole lot of family,
- 9:27Speaker 1: a whole lot of business, and a little bit of chilling.
- 9:31Speaker 1: The chilling can't be equal to the family, the business,
- 9:35Speaker 1: or your God. If the chilling is equal to any
- 9:38Speaker 1: of them, you ain't gonna make it. Quit chilling, man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and go to work like a man. Do what you
- 9:44Speaker 1: post to do. Work on your family, work on your relationship,
- 9:48Speaker 1: work on your God, work on your business. And then
- 9:50Speaker 1: when you chill, you might not Chill is long but
- 9:53Speaker 1: your show gonna chill bigger. You're gonna ball bigger. Baby.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Let me
- 10:03Speaker 1: have your undivided attention. This is my very white opening
- 10:06Speaker 1: for the morning. Want you to have a great time.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Come on to join in with us. Put your hand
- 10:12Speaker 1: on somebody's back and say hey, I love you, and
- 10:15Speaker 1: allow them to say I love you, and together we
- 10:19Speaker 1: can have love and as world and as well with
- 10:21Speaker 1: hell my love. Yeah, but that ain't working right now,
- 10:25Speaker 1: so welcome to the Stevens. See where you get that from.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I don't know. Just came to me. I thought i'd
- 10:33Speaker 1: do it and don't need it doing the same thing.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It's a new day, new chance, new opportunity. Man, let's
- 10:38Speaker 1: make the best of it. God is good, Yeah, he is. Man.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Gratitude affect your altitude all the time, but it's brought
- 10:45Speaker 1: on by your attitude. You got to get it together, baby,
- 10:48Speaker 1: that's the world we live in to day. Sherley Strawberry
- 10:50Speaker 1: callin for real Mouth of the South, junior boy and
- 10:53Speaker 1: my man myself. Yes, happened to me. I like that, Steve,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I like you know what I mean? Sometimes because ain't
- 11:03Speaker 1: got no cheer leader, cheer for yourself, clapping up for you.
- 11:08Speaker 1: So sometimes you gotta clap it up for yourself. Yeah.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Like snoop dog, I want to thank me, last, but
- 11:16Speaker 1: not least, I want to thank me. Believe in yourself,
- 11:21Speaker 1: love yourself. Yeah, So what's on your mind today? I
- 11:26Speaker 1: just said, are you feeling pretty good today? Yeah? Yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I ain't. Yeah, you sound good. I feel good every day?
- 11:33Speaker 1: All right? You know, whatever it is, what if it is?
- 11:36Speaker 1: You know some days had some humore challenges in it
- 11:39Speaker 1: than others, and but I'm I've survived all of them
- 11:43Speaker 1: so far. This too show pass, that's for show, and
- 11:47Speaker 1: I'm expecting great things that happened in my life man.
- 11:50Speaker 1: And gratitude check yesterday. I really did had to do
- 11:53Speaker 1: a gratitude check because what I found out was as humans,
- 11:57Speaker 1: and I find myself guilty of this often in my
- 12:01Speaker 1: quest to do better and be better, in my quest
- 12:05Speaker 1: to accomplish the next level and reach for more goals
- 12:09Speaker 1: and get higher and higher, I sometimes forget to have
- 12:14Speaker 1: the right level of gratitude for where I am. And
- 12:18Speaker 1: if you pursue the quest wholeheartedly with everything that's in
- 12:23Speaker 1: you and is constantly grind, grind, gold, go go, go go.
- 12:27Speaker 1: You will humanly forget to say thank you and be
- 12:32Speaker 1: grateful for where you are. And now you've negated your opportunity,
- 12:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey for further advancement. Because God, in his infinite
- 12:41Speaker 1: wisdom and supreme judgment, he's thinking, well, if he ain't
- 12:46Speaker 1: grateful for this, ain't no need of me overburdening him
- 12:49Speaker 1: with more. All if you're complaining about your present condition,
- 12:56Speaker 1: could God be also saying, maybe I don't need to
- 13:00Speaker 1: putting no more on them because this is causing so
- 13:02Speaker 1: much stress and problems. You know, Biggie said, more money,
- 13:06Speaker 1: more problems. But if you focus so much on the problems,
- 13:09Speaker 1: then maybe God won't give you more because he already
- 13:13Speaker 1: know you already complaining about this. M right, okay, all right,
- 13:18Speaker 1: dropped that knowledge. Exactly what I was gonna ask, Look
- 13:31Speaker 1: at God? All right? Coming up in thirty two minutes
- 13:36Speaker 1: after the hour, Junior is in for the nephew to
- 13:39Speaker 1: run that prank back. Right after this, you're listening to
- 13:44Speaker 1: morning show. It is time now to run that prank
- 13:47Speaker 1: back with Junior in for the nephew, which you got
- 13:50Speaker 1: Junior paper clips, go, I'm trying to read. I have
- 14:00Speaker 1: a ronic. How are you doing? My name is Philip.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I'm from CORP. How you doing? I'm good? Thank you?
- 14:05Speaker 1: How can I help you today? You were with the
- 14:07Speaker 1: company here? Uh see? You just left about what six

- 14:19Speaker 1: is Philip. Philip. I'm actually calling on some security questions
- 14:24Speaker 1: and wanted to reach out to you. Now you you
- 14:26Speaker 1: own your own travel agency, now that's correct, okay? Um,
- 14:32Speaker 1: Now you actually left with the severance when you when
- 14:34Speaker 1: you left the company, is that right? That's right? Okay?
- 14:37Speaker 1: And how long were you actually with hy? I was
- 14:40Speaker 1: in the eight years. I'm sorry whom things are again?
- 14:43Speaker 1: My name is Philip. I'm with security and what can
- 14:46Speaker 1: I do for you? Philip? Uh? Well, we got we
- 14:48Speaker 1: have you. You started this business? Now did you start
- 14:52Speaker 1: it before you left? After I left here? One month?
- 14:57Speaker 1: So the reason why I'm giving you a call, and
- 15:00Speaker 1: I've been you know, we've gone through some security tapes
- 15:02Speaker 1: and things of that nature. We're missing so many rims
- 15:06Speaker 1: of paper, we're missing thousands of paper clips, We're missing
- 15:10Speaker 1: so many office supplies, and it's been brought to the
- 15:14Speaker 1: security's attention that it's targeting that you are the person
- 15:17Speaker 1: that has taken all of this office. I'm sorry, let
- 15:20Speaker 1: me get this right through us. You are calling my
- 15:23Speaker 1: place of business asking me if I have used paper
- 15:25Speaker 1: clips and paper. I have customers in my establishment right now.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I can't talk to you about this, okay, ma'am listen.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I know that I'm sorry for calling your place of business,
- 15:34Speaker 1: but I want to say this. We're at the point
- 15:37Speaker 1: of actually picking you up behind items that have been
- 15:40Speaker 1: taken from the company, so I wanted to call and
- 15:42Speaker 1: see if we could get it taken care of over
- 15:43Speaker 1: the phone. Now, So you gotta go, then I'm gonna
- 15:46Speaker 1: have to actually come out to your business, and that's
- 15:48Speaker 1: something that I'm trying not to do. You know what,
- 15:50Speaker 1: hold on? What that? If you hold that? Who is
- 15:54Speaker 1: this on my phone talking about from damn paper clips?
- 15:57Speaker 1: I have been gone from there for six months and
- 15:59Speaker 1: you calling me now about some paper and someone paper clips? Man,
- 16:02Speaker 1: we're missing at least five thousand paper clips. I'm gonna
- 16:06Speaker 1: tell you what you can do. I have been out
- 16:08Speaker 1: of that company for six months. I worked for y'all
- 16:10Speaker 1: for eight years and you won't let me go. I
- 16:12Speaker 1: didn't take anything from you. Okay. Have you ever used
- 16:15Speaker 1: any paper or any paper clips outside of Have you
- 16:20Speaker 1: done that? Of course I used paper every day I
- 16:22Speaker 1: run a business. Okay, But you're using our paper for
- 16:25Speaker 1: your own personal business, your travel agent or whatever it
- 16:28Speaker 1: is that you have. You're using office supplies. That right
- 16:32Speaker 1: there is against the law. Oh no, I will go
- 16:35Speaker 1: and buy you some damn paper clips. Okay, Well we
- 16:38Speaker 1: don't want paper clips. Man. Now we've given you a
- 16:40Speaker 1: severance play and for my understanding, it's been a substantial amount.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And right now it's gonna be filing charges and taking
- 16:48Speaker 1: you to court over these paper clips and paper. I'm
- 16:51Speaker 1: gonna tell you what you can do it in five
- 16:52Speaker 1: thousand paper clips on paper clips, them together and hang
- 16:54Speaker 1: you out for a boy. Your I ain't stealing the
- 16:56Speaker 1: damn paper clips. You're gonna call me six months way
- 16:58Speaker 1: to talk about some paper and paper clips, ma'am. I
- 17:00Speaker 1: don't want to go back to the book, Philip. I'm sorry,
- 17:03Speaker 1: this is some Phillip. So are you wanting to return
- 17:07Speaker 1: all the merchandise because it looks like I didn't take
- 17:10Speaker 1: no merchandise. I don't have to steal nothing from y'all.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I work for you for eight years. Something about for
- 17:17Speaker 1: eight years you stole paper paper clips, you stole all
- 17:21Speaker 1: the supplies, scissors, masking tape. You have taken markers, pens.
- 17:26Speaker 1: We got it down to know what video tape you got, Phillip.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I ain't steal nothing from y'all. I was an employee
- 17:32Speaker 1: of the year. You all gave me at seven packies.
- 17:34Speaker 1: How dare you call me six months later? You can
- 17:35Speaker 1: take the paper clips and shove them up you're behind
- 17:38Speaker 1: Excuse me? Are we done here? No, we're not done here.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So take your video tapes and your paper clips and
- 17:44Speaker 1: your scissors, and you know what to do with them. No, no,
- 17:47Speaker 1: I don't, ma'am. Now listen, what we're gonna have to
- 17:49Speaker 1: do is you're gonna get served right there at your
- 17:52Speaker 1: travel agency. Where are you located me? So you know what.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you my address because you come over here.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I got some scissors for your Philip. I don't have
- 18:00Speaker 1: time for this. You want my address, you can come
- 18:02Speaker 1: on over here. Look it up. Google me. We want
- 18:05Speaker 1: our paper clips back, Google me, come get them then,
- 18:09Speaker 1: matter of fact, give me your address, fell if I
- 18:11Speaker 1: bring them to you? Feel no damn paper clips. I'm
- 18:13Speaker 1: a Christian woman, and you got me on this phone
- 18:15Speaker 1: cussing and fighting with you. I'm not fighting to a
- 18:17Speaker 1: little paper clips. What's your address? Tellup? We're listening over
- 18:19Speaker 1: five thousand paper clips and we need those. Now, what's
- 18:23Speaker 1: your address? I'm gonna bring your damn paper and paper
- 18:25Speaker 1: clips to you? How about that? So you are tell
- 18:30Speaker 1: you are guilty of using a paper aren't you? We
- 18:33Speaker 1: all used paper filler? I don't feel, which means guess what.
- 18:37Speaker 1: It's against the law, which means you're helping your law something.
- 18:40Speaker 1: If you are taking one paper clip, it's against the law.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And you got pens in your car? Phillip that but corporation,
- 18:49Speaker 1: I bet you do. I work for the company. I'm
- 18:51Speaker 1: trying to run a business, so you're stealing too. Give
- 18:54Speaker 1: me your voice this number? You calling my damn phone
- 18:56Speaker 1: talking about some pens and paper clips? Here, wash your mine.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Give me your address. I'll bring the pens and paper clips.
- 19:02Speaker 1: You ain't gotta what you do thinking so many pens
- 19:05Speaker 1: and so many paper clips, thousands of runs and run

- 20:34Speaker 1: what is the bad is? I mean, the baddest radio
- 20:36Speaker 1: show in the land. Steve Harvey Morning Show is on.
- 20:44Speaker 1: All right? Coming up next to this, asked the Chief
- 20:46Speaker 1: Love Officer, Steve Harvey's right after this, you're listening Steve
- 20:51Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 20:55Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about the outrage and the grief that
- 20:58Speaker 1: followed the release of the body candage of the brutal
- 21:01Speaker 1: beating of twenty nine year old Tyree Nichols in Memphis,
- 21:04Speaker 1: Tennessee by five black former Memphis police officers. That's coming
- 21:10Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. But right now
- 21:12Speaker 1: we're going to switch gears here and ask the clo.
- 21:16Speaker 1: All right, this one's from Tracy and Raleigh. Tracy right
- 21:21Speaker 1: to the CLO. I had two cats that stayed around
- 21:24Speaker 1: my front porch since my divorce. My neighbor had animal
- 21:27Speaker 1: control come and take them away, and he said he
- 21:31Speaker 1: was doing me a favor. How do I nicely let
- 21:34Speaker 1: him know that I don't need his help and to
- 21:37Speaker 1: mind his own business? Did the way you just tag
- 21:40Speaker 1: typed it? You have to say that out live, just
- 21:46Speaker 1: ye take your email Steve Harmorshaw and say exactly that
- 21:55Speaker 1: he know you single, you recently divorced. So now he
- 22:00Speaker 1: trying to be mister healthful and he didn't overstepped his bound.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Why is he suddenly so healthful? It's what you need
- 22:07Speaker 1: to ask yourself. So he playing the hero. He want
- 22:11Speaker 1: to save the damsel in distress. Yeah, man, still do that?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Huh okay, all right, yeah, they still do it. It
- 22:19Speaker 1: has changed since I wrote my book. I noticed in
- 22:21Speaker 1: two thousand and nine the dating scene is completely changed, man,
- 22:25Speaker 1: it's it's completely Yeah, you got time to call Adam
- 22:29Speaker 1: Control for two cats. We started doing that, car. I
- 22:36Speaker 1: see cats all time. I see cats all time. It
- 22:40Speaker 1: ain't my house. Oh you didn't see it. Yeah, but
- 22:44Speaker 1: it's girls. It ain't the girl to find ship across
- 22:48Speaker 1: the streets. Take from me. That's true too. He don't
- 22:52Speaker 1: get a damn about cats. Yeah, ok, yeah, that's not
- 22:57Speaker 1: the point. Yeah, all right. Moving on to joan Ai
- 23:02Speaker 1: and Saint Louis, Janney says, my boyfriend hasn't had sex
- 23:05Speaker 1: with me in close to two weeks. We got an
- 23:08Speaker 1: automated message on our voicemail from a pharmacy saying his
- 23:11Speaker 1: prescription is ready. He said, it's a cream for chafing
- 23:16Speaker 1: and chafing, and if so, why can't he show me?
- 23:21Speaker 1: Is it something else? Ye think it's something else that yo,
- 23:26Speaker 1: you ain't got. You don't need no prescription for chafing.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Uh huh until you get caught his own. You caught
- 23:33Speaker 1: his own. Ten you get anti edge, You can get
- 23:38Speaker 1: a whole lot of stuff. They got a drill, got
- 23:42Speaker 1: a cream. Yeah, you know, they got all that. You
- 23:44Speaker 1: can put corn starch on you. You ain't got to
- 23:47Speaker 1: do that. He wiiting on that prescription. Now, a couple
- 23:51Speaker 1: of things could have happened. Maybe your boyfriend has an
- 23:56Speaker 1: issue that you don't know about, and you sometimes do
- 24:00Speaker 1: you have to wait for them pills to come through
- 24:02Speaker 1: on the prescription because they're very popular right now. All
- 24:06Speaker 1: The only other thing to consider is he's saving you
- 24:10Speaker 1: for some sexually transmitted disease that he acquired while being
- 24:14Speaker 1: out in the streets, and he's waiting on the medicine
- 24:17Speaker 1: to come in. And he's already got the medicine, but
- 24:19Speaker 1: he got to wait till the run out of his system.
- 24:22Speaker 1: That cadesto or ding ding ding ding ding. Two more weeks.
- 24:27Speaker 1: It is two more weeks. Yeah, yeah, yellow, all right.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Moving on to Fabian and Huntsville. Fabian says, hey, Steve,
- 24:38Speaker 1: I'm dating a younger man and he is proud to
- 24:40Speaker 1: call me his lady, but I'm not ready to give
- 24:43Speaker 1: him a title. He got mad when I introduced him
- 24:46Speaker 1: as my assistant when we ran into my pastor and
- 24:49Speaker 1: as the man. Why is he stuck on having a
- 24:52Speaker 1: title because he's not about because he's doing the same
- 24:57Speaker 1: thing y'all do. Don't y'all want titles? Oh now you
- 25:01Speaker 1: just set up here and put it on. A little
- 25:03Speaker 1: young boy got his head all messed up. Now he
- 25:05Speaker 1: won't a title. Now you ain't show you want to
- 25:07Speaker 1: give it to her. But you're introducing until your past
- 25:11Speaker 1: m was my assistant. This little boy, this in him,
- 25:19Speaker 1: very take care of he. Uh, this is a do Davis.
- 25:26Speaker 1: This is Davis. What's his name? Dog? Davis? Dog? Davis.
- 25:31Speaker 1: He got he got a young ass name to her
- 25:34Speaker 1: name Carolyn, Carolyn, her name Carolyn, His name, Doc Davis.
- 25:41Speaker 1: You already could tell by the name. Her girlfriend named Gwen.
- 25:45Speaker 1: And the other one Bob. Yeah, no, he didn't show
- 25:51Speaker 1: it up at the house, Dog Davis. He'd about one
- 25:53Speaker 1: of his friends over. John Vantire, he got him names.
- 26:03Speaker 1: What was your moment? This is j J Vantia and
- 26:08Speaker 1: Davis going out with Gwenn and Bob. There's sisters. Hey,
- 26:16Speaker 1: y'all got anybody want to date my friend? What's your
- 26:19Speaker 1: friend's name? Oh, Patricia? Oh? Okay? And what's your friend's name?
- 26:28Speaker 1: Sean Delicious? We just call him Shawnnie Day. So he
- 26:42Speaker 1: wants the title he wants to. He's proud of the
- 26:45Speaker 1: woman that he's dating right now, even though she is older.
- 26:48Speaker 1: All right, Moving on last one, Steve, This runs from
- 26:51Speaker 1: Gloria Gloria. Here we go Gloria and Queen's. Gloria writes,
- 26:56Speaker 1: my husband of almost twenty five years had a few
- 26:59Speaker 1: new moves, was in bed and I loved it. So
- 27:03Speaker 1: I did a few new moves on him too, but
- 27:05Speaker 1: he couldn't handle it. He immediately thought I was cheating.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I don't even think like that. Why can't he be
- 27:13Speaker 1: open minded like me? What you got for, glorious fellow,
- 27:17Speaker 1: well open minded? Your husband is thinking where you being
- 27:22Speaker 1: to get this new stuff? Because he got some new stuff. Uh,
- 27:28Speaker 1: and she didn't think that. She didn't accuse him of
- 27:31Speaker 1: cheating when he did. She just yeah, she just see.
- 27:35Speaker 1: She ain't stupid though he's stupid. Stupid, yeah, because the
- 27:41Speaker 1: change means something that's right, that's right. See, it's it's
- 27:47Speaker 1: two different kinds of stupid in this. He's stupid for
- 27:53Speaker 1: exposing what he didn't learned somewhere. She's stupid for not
- 27:59Speaker 1: recognized and the new learn lesson. So it's two stupids
- 28:04Speaker 1: him right then he dumb up accusing her cheating. Where
- 28:12Speaker 1: you get the new move from? I know where I
- 28:14Speaker 1: got mine from? Where you get your from? That's the stupidity.
- 28:21Speaker 1: So I'm not saying any of this is happening to
- 28:23Speaker 1: the lady that wrote the letter, But I'm saying there's
- 28:25Speaker 1: a lot of stupid. Gloria Loia and Gloria old because
- 28:32Speaker 1: don't nobody name the kid Gloria no moment? What if?
- 28:36Speaker 1: What would her name be today? Gloria? Uh? Huh oh,
- 28:43Speaker 1: come on, glow, Keisha Rush. It's hard to say what
- 28:51Speaker 1: is low? Keisha Rushing, thank you for alone. Coming up
- 29:00Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. A special news update
- 29:03Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening. Okay, So some sad news.
- 29:11Speaker 1: On yesterday afternoon, comedian and our Friend radio show host
- 29:15Speaker 1: Ricky Smiley announced the passing of his oldest son, Brandon Smiley.
- 29:20Speaker 1: This was done in a video that was posted on Instagram.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Ricky said, I lost my oldest son, Brandon this morning.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I'm okay, but please pray for my son's mother, Brenda,
- 29:31Speaker 1: his siblings, and his daughter Storm. And a separate post,
- 29:35Speaker 1: Ricky pointed he posted, May your battles keep you near
- 29:39Speaker 1: the cross, May your struggles show you that you need God.
- 29:42Speaker 1: May your battles end the way it should, and may
- 29:45Speaker 1: your bad days prove that God is good. Our prayers,
- 29:49Speaker 1: of course, go out to Ricky and the entire family
- 29:54Speaker 1: on behalf of Steve Harvey. Wow. Very smartbreaking, Yeah, very
- 30:01Speaker 1: very sad and shocking. Surprising. Yeah, yeah, no, we've been texting,
- 30:09Speaker 1: but I'll just keep that private. Um, you know, it's
- 30:14Speaker 1: just and what can you say? Yeah, yeah, condolences, thoughts
- 30:22Speaker 1: of prayers because I don't know if they want the
- 30:24Speaker 1: reason out there or nothing like that, but you know
- 30:30Speaker 1: we're praying for the absolutely Ricky. You know you're in
- 30:35Speaker 1: our hearts and we love you. And to another horrific story. UM,
- 30:41Speaker 1: all weekend we've been following the news from Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Of course, we are outraged over the body cam video
- 30:49Speaker 1: footage of five Memphis police officers who brutally and savagely
- 30:54Speaker 1: beat twenty nine year old Tyree Nichols after a traffic stop.
- 30:59Speaker 1: The footage was released on Friday and came from a
- 31:02Speaker 1: sky cop camera and police officers body cameras. Police can
- 31:06Speaker 1: be heard yelling at Nichols to get out of his car.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Then you see the officers forcibly removing Nichols from his car.
- 31:13Speaker 1: The officers kick Nichols in the face and his abdomen,
- 31:17Speaker 1: struck him with a baton, and the upper body punched
- 31:20Speaker 1: him in the face and upper body area. Nichols was
- 31:24Speaker 1: heard screaming mom mom as he was being held down,
- 31:27Speaker 1: and pepper sprayed repeatedly mom as he was being held down.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Nichols died three days later in a Memphis hospital. The
- 31:36Speaker 1: five former Memphis police officers to Darius Bean, Demetrius Hayley,
- 31:42Speaker 1: Emmett Martin the Third, Desmond Mills Junior, and Justin Smith,
- 31:45Speaker 1: who are all black, have been arrested and charged with murder,
- 31:51Speaker 1: with kidnapping, assault, and misconduct to Memphis firefighters involved in
- 31:55Speaker 1: nichols initial medical care were also terminated. Protest that's were
- 32:00Speaker 1: held all over the country this weekend, and Nichol's mother
- 32:03Speaker 1: pleaded with everyone to please remain peaceful and protesting out
- 32:07Speaker 1: of respect for her fixed story. Horrific video footage. You know, Um,
- 32:15Speaker 1: I'm just it's alarming to me. Two things. First of all,
- 32:26Speaker 1: I just I'm at a loss. This has been happening
- 32:31Speaker 1: to us by the police for so long, for so
- 32:36Speaker 1: many incidents, over and over and over. It's hard to
- 32:41Speaker 1: frame this. But when I look at this video and
- 32:46Speaker 1: I see these black thugs killing this black boy, I mean,
- 32:54Speaker 1: the punchous this dude was throwing on this innocent soul.
- 33:04Speaker 1: It looked like street fighting. It looked like they were
- 33:06Speaker 1: just beating, like just ganging up on the handcuff. But
- 33:14Speaker 1: you low down, coward, yes, yes, coward, yeah, but you
- 33:22Speaker 1: know these dudes man horrible. Now, I tell you what
- 33:26Speaker 1: I do, command the police chief, the woman that's the
- 33:31Speaker 1: head of the Memphis Police Department. She didn't waste no time. No,
- 33:36Speaker 1: that's right, But that's right. These are black dudes, man. Yeah,
- 33:41Speaker 1: killing a black boy younger than all of the heartbreaking.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I have so many feelings about that that I can't
- 33:49Speaker 1: say on the radio because what I really want to say,
- 33:53Speaker 1: I know it's gonna cost me something, and I don't
- 33:56Speaker 1: want to make insight anybody or make especially his family
- 34:02Speaker 1: and stuff. They own their radio. We big on the
- 34:05Speaker 1: radio and Memphish, you know. Yeah, but that's what Steve.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It seems like too the police department. You know, we
- 34:13Speaker 1: saw what happened, uh with George Floyd. You know this
- 34:17Speaker 1: goes on all around the country white black officers. Now
- 34:20Speaker 1: that we're seeing this with black officers, it's the corrupt
- 34:24Speaker 1: thing that's going on in the police departments, and they
- 34:28Speaker 1: they have to change. It has to be a change
- 34:32Speaker 1: for justice and for you to not five of y'all
- 34:36Speaker 1: stood around and beat this man to death for what
- 34:41Speaker 1: never told him. How has the culture changed to where
- 34:49Speaker 1: now the black police, yes, that's what I'm saying, are
- 34:54Speaker 1: as bad as the bad white police. See when when
- 35:00Speaker 1: did that shift happen because and it was recently too.
- 35:05Speaker 1: It was recently, you know. You know, look, we've always
- 35:10Speaker 1: had tough black cops in the black neighborhood. We knew
- 35:12Speaker 1: who they were. You know, you couldn't go downtown to
- 35:16Speaker 1: certain cops jails. We knew who they were. But it
- 35:21Speaker 1: was limited. This this been but but but once again,
- 35:26Speaker 1: you thank God for social media, and you thank God
- 35:29Speaker 1: for technology and cameras because if they'd have used in
- 35:32Speaker 1: body cams, this would have been a distorted view. But
- 35:35Speaker 1: when you see it from that camera, that parking lot,
- 35:37Speaker 1: it's very different. Many people, Yes, all right, coming up
- 35:42Speaker 1: at twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have more of
- 35:44Speaker 1: a Steve Harvey Morning Show as we switched gears and
- 35:46Speaker 1: bring in Sister Odell right after this. You're listening to,
- 35:53Speaker 1: all right, Sister O'Dell is here, ladies and gentlemen, Oh
- 35:58Speaker 1: if she is lost and na man Jesus in my lord,
- 36:08Speaker 1: my lord went on. Need to waste in time because
- 36:10Speaker 1: my sign miss is getting shouted and shouting, so I
- 36:14Speaker 1: man needs to come on it. I just told you
- 36:16Speaker 1: what it was. Okay, all right, but we love you
- 36:19Speaker 1: just the same though, uh And good morning, Good morning, Sherley,
- 36:25Speaker 1: Good morning Collie. Hey sister out there, Good morning Mississippi
- 36:30Speaker 1: junior boy. Where's time it this morning? What is he doing?
- 36:34Speaker 1: He's all today? It's Monday, Okay, he gets on Mondays,
- 36:38Speaker 1: he's on Monday. Oh okay. What is he performing somewhere
- 36:42Speaker 1: in now? I don't Usually that's the case. Usually that's
- 36:47Speaker 1: the case. I like that show he got Wanting to Love,
- 36:50Speaker 1: you know, it's just ready to yes, man, Well, if
- 36:54Speaker 1: you're ready, ain't you wanting to this man? This man,
- 37:00Speaker 1: Sister Odell, Since you say you don't have a lot
- 37:02Speaker 1: of time, I wanted to, um, just bring you up
- 37:06Speaker 1: to speed on a couple of things. Uh. You know.
- 37:08Speaker 1: ABC News has officially parted ways with GMA three anchors
- 37:12Speaker 1: t J. Holmes and Ab Robot. On Friday. They were
- 37:15Speaker 1: both fired, and an ABC spokesperson stated that quote, we
- 37:20Speaker 1: all agreed it's best for everybody involved that they move
- 37:23Speaker 1: on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment
- 37:26Speaker 1: over the years. We're thankful for their contributions. So, Sister Roville,
- 37:30Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you what do you think about that?
- 37:33Speaker 1: Should they be Well, first of all, that's a read,
- 37:35Speaker 1: that's a very white statement, We want to thank you
- 37:38Speaker 1: for your contribution, but we don't buy you. That's a
- 37:42Speaker 1: that's a mnor white statement. Rocket say it's the same thing,
- 37:47Speaker 1: and don't say a damn thing. But I don't know
- 37:50Speaker 1: who J who are? Who are t K thought it was?
- 37:54Speaker 1: It's TJ's t TK t J. Were you in union
- 38:03Speaker 1: and you want to that's his name? T K, t
- 38:08Speaker 1: P t D. You know he out of work, ain't he? Oh?
- 38:14Speaker 1: And all of it because he was went to WG back.
- 38:20Speaker 1: You know, black ass, thank you. That's gonna saw day
- 38:23Speaker 1: these white women on on national TV, and the white
- 38:26Speaker 1: folks ain't gonna say nothing about it. It ain't this
- 38:29Speaker 1: ain't nothing. But twenty twenty three is a whole look
- 38:35Speaker 1: a whole lot to me, like nineteen thirty three, I
- 38:39Speaker 1: would got enough change, Like stick around for another segment.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Y'all didn't ask me now, well, I wanted to ask
- 38:47Speaker 1: you back in the day, did you date any of
- 38:49Speaker 1: your co workers? Did you and Frederick Douglas hang out?
- 38:52Speaker 1: What what happened? But Frederick was black, That Turner was black,
- 38:59Speaker 1: Ralph abbing at they were you know, markush Govy was black. Alright,
- 39:08Speaker 1: all right, sister, Odell coming up next. Kanye let the
- 39:12Speaker 1: paparazzi push him to the limit over the weekend. We'll
- 39:15Speaker 1: talk about that right after this. You're listening to the
- 39:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well he's back in the news, Steve.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Kanye West is now facing a battery charge after he
- 39:27Speaker 1: confronted a woman that was filming him while she was
- 39:30Speaker 1: just sitting in her car. Kanye asked the woman to
- 39:34Speaker 1: stop filming him, and she responded, hey, you're a celebrity.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Kanye then reached into her car, grabbed her phone, and
- 39:42Speaker 1: threw it over her car. This was after he pleaded
- 39:48Speaker 1: with other paparazzi to please stop filming him while he
- 39:51Speaker 1: was trying to go see his child's basketball game. Kanye
- 39:55Speaker 1: said he just wanted to see his children, and one
- 39:57Speaker 1: paparazzi rudely asked, well, can't you see you children at home?
- 40:01Speaker 1: Kanye said it's his right not to be filmed. He
- 40:05Speaker 1: said it's human rights. Later that same day, Kim was
- 40:08Speaker 1: spighted leaving her child's basketball game and paparazzi asked her
- 40:13Speaker 1: about Kanye snatching and throwing the woman's phone, and Kim
- 40:16Speaker 1: told the paparazzi not to ask her about that in
- 40:19Speaker 1: front of her children as she got in the car. So, Steve,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I got to ask you, how bad is the paparazzi.
- 40:24Speaker 1: I mean, you're a star, you get filmed all the time.
- 40:27Speaker 1: They follow you everywhere. Can it be dangerous when they're
- 40:30Speaker 1: fighting to get the best picture or the best video
- 40:33Speaker 1: of a celebrity. Yeah. I don't get the uproar clamor
- 40:37Speaker 1: type stuff. I'm in front of paparazzi. Paparazzi, But what
- 40:42Speaker 1: I try to do, First of all, I try to
- 40:43Speaker 1: avoid going places where they are when they are. I've
- 40:49Speaker 1: known a lot of them for years. We have a
- 40:51Speaker 1: really cool relationship. Secondly, they gonna take your picture. It's
- 40:59Speaker 1: what they do. It's how they earn a living. There
- 41:02Speaker 1: are no laws in the United States about it. I
- 41:05Speaker 1: wish there were. Kanye is right, it's a violation of
- 41:09Speaker 1: your space and your privacy, but they have no laws
- 41:12Speaker 1: in place with the United States to do that. Kanye
- 41:15Speaker 1: is right about that, And you don't want to be
- 41:18Speaker 1: filmed everywhere. I get filmed eating, I get filmed standing
- 41:21Speaker 1: talking to another person. I get film getting in and
- 41:24Speaker 1: out of the car. Stuff like that. You don't want it,
- 41:27Speaker 1: you don't like it. The problem Kanye has is you
- 41:32Speaker 1: cannot and I know how he feels, but you can't
- 41:36Speaker 1: grab nobody's phone and throw it. No, you grab this
- 41:40Speaker 1: white lady phone. Dog. This different touching her property. You
- 41:44Speaker 1: to grab kill phone. We wouldn't even be talking about this,
- 41:51Speaker 1: but you to grab this woman's phone and throw it.
- 41:53Speaker 1: And I understand where he coming from, but he's not
- 42:00Speaker 1: thinking that. He you know, Look, you want to have
- 42:05Speaker 1: a private moment. You want to just go see your
- 42:07Speaker 1: kids at a basketball game. I got that you you
- 42:11Speaker 1: asked her to stop feeling she said, But you're a celebrity,
- 42:14Speaker 1: see people soon. That's what they're saying. It comes to territory.
- 42:19Speaker 1: If you don't want the territory, get out of it.
- 42:22Speaker 1: But that's unfair. That's unfair for you to make this
- 42:25Speaker 1: moment the territory that you decided for him to be in.
- 42:30Speaker 1: It's unfair when you, as an individual, take another person's
- 42:35Speaker 1: moment and decide, now, this is our moment, not just
- 42:38Speaker 1: your moment. That's not fair. And if people did it
- 42:41Speaker 1: to you constantly, I'm telling you, it wears on you
- 42:44Speaker 1: after a while, and you would get sick of it.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Yourself if you were sitting there eating and you just
- 42:49Speaker 1: looked over people were filming you. Hey man, me and
- 42:53Speaker 1: Marjorie go to dinner. Even out of the country, people
- 42:57Speaker 1: will hold their phone up at another table and act
- 43:00Speaker 1: like they're doing a selfie and have to have you
- 43:03Speaker 1: in the picture. They do it all the time, you know.
- 43:09Speaker 1: But yeah, but from go ahead. No, some people like
- 43:13Speaker 1: you say, think that because you're a celebrity, that's the
- 43:15Speaker 1: price you pay, that's part of and they think it's
- 43:18Speaker 1: their right. But it's not your right to determine for me. Like,
- 43:24Speaker 1: for example, can I have a picture? No? Not today?
- 43:27Speaker 1: Why I had? I had? No? White dude asked me
- 43:31Speaker 1: that seventeen year olds, Hey, Steve Harvey, I want a video?
- 43:34Speaker 1: I said no, not today. Why, Both of my sons said,
- 43:37Speaker 1: because he said so. Because hold man, that's my daddy.
- 43:42Speaker 1: He does. He tell us something. It's it's just like
- 43:45Speaker 1: absolute law. But and then he gotta finish. Why what
- 43:49Speaker 1: you need to get your little puck ass out of
- 43:51Speaker 1: here for? I don't thank you very much? Right, Yeah, okay,
- 43:58Speaker 1: I'm moving on. Kanye needs to stop doing stupid stuff though,
- 44:07Speaker 1: please leave people's stuff alone, all right? Coming up, next,
- 44:11Speaker 1: Junior's in for the nephew with today's prank phone call.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Morning Show,

- 48:35Speaker 1: What it is not disrespectful. Also as you telling me,
- 48:38Speaker 1: you're gonna go up there and what my son, and

- 51:30Speaker 1: Why right play? You're prosthetic? All? Why would you call?
- 51:36Speaker 1: How is he still stupid? And he's not even here?
- 51:41Speaker 1: It's just built in on him. That just just like,
- 51:45Speaker 1: can't you imagine if if if I could just say
- 51:49Speaker 1: one thing, how many proud moments have you had of him?
- 51:52Speaker 1: It can't be a whole lot of them when you
- 51:57Speaker 1: can count you mean birth? Yeah, oh, probably one of
- 52:05Speaker 1: the ah, we're all we're definitely talking fingers now, hand
- 52:15Speaker 1: one of my hands down. Yeah. I think when he
- 52:18Speaker 1: graduated from Texas A and M as the first black
- 52:21Speaker 1: ever with a theater arts major, that was pretty bad.
- 52:28Speaker 1: I think that one of the other proud moments was
- 52:34Speaker 1: when I was like, I wasn't really proud most tune
- 52:37Speaker 1: somebody had a baby with him. That was another I didn't.
- 52:45Speaker 1: I didn't understand that at all. I was I thought
- 52:49Speaker 1: process struggling to me where that was her mind that
- 52:56Speaker 1: she thought having an offspring with this ignorant as oh,
- 53:03Speaker 1: let's see one more, one more to give? Oh no, no,
- 53:11Speaker 1: no no, having a TV show fast in this loan.
- 53:15Speaker 1: That's pretty okay, all right, big moment, Yeah sure, all right,
- 53:25Speaker 1: Thank you child, Thank you Junior, and thank you nephew
- 53:33Speaker 1: for those moments. Coming up next, Strawberry letter subject how
- 53:36Speaker 1: did he know where to put it? All right, we'll
- 53:38Speaker 1: get into that. We'll find out what that's all about.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. It

- 53:49Speaker 1: need advice on relationships, work, sex, parenting, and more, please
- 53:54Speaker 1: please please submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve Harvey FM
- 53:58Speaker 1: dot com by click by clicking the submit Strawberry Letter button.
- 54:02Speaker 1: It's right there, okay, and we could be getting your letter.
- 54:05Speaker 1: We could be receiving your letter. We could be reading
- 54:08Speaker 1: your letter. Your letter on the air, just like going
- 54:12Speaker 1: to read this one right here, right now, and you
- 54:14Speaker 1: never know it could be yours. You never know. It's
- 54:17Speaker 1: straving the Strawberry letter. But my good friend, Shirley Strawpie,
- 54:21Speaker 1: thank you, my good friend junior subject? How did he
- 54:24Speaker 1: know where to put it? Okay, Dear Stephen Shirley. I've
- 54:28Speaker 1: been married for six years and all was well in
- 54:31Speaker 1: my marriage until one of my closest friends moved to
- 54:34Speaker 1: my side of town. She's divorced, and she bought a
- 54:38Speaker 1: new home closer to where we live. When she and
- 54:41Speaker 1: her husband started to have problems, my husband stopped talking
- 54:45Speaker 1: to him because he didn't like the way her husband
- 54:47Speaker 1: treated her. My granny lives with us, and she didn't
- 54:52Speaker 1: understand why my husband cared so much. I don't get
- 54:56Speaker 1: into discussions about my husband and marriage with my grandmother
- 54:59Speaker 1: because she find fault with everything. When my close friend
- 55:03Speaker 1: would stop by our house, my Grannie would keep an
- 55:06Speaker 1: eye on her. She didn't like my husband having kind
- 55:09Speaker 1: words for my friend at all. I took it with
- 55:11Speaker 1: a grain of salt because Granny is so negative most
- 55:14Speaker 1: of the time. But I did stop my friend from
- 55:17Speaker 1: popping up at our house before she went out so
- 55:20Speaker 1: I could see her dressed up nicely. Granny said it
- 55:23Speaker 1: was more for my husband than for me. It did
- 55:27Speaker 1: raise a red flag, but I didn't let Granny know. Then,
- 55:31Speaker 1: my friend had a housewarming party and she needed wood
- 55:34Speaker 1: for her fireplace, so I told her we'd bring some.
- 55:38Speaker 1: My husband came in a few minutes after us, and
- 55:40Speaker 1: I asked him if he was going to get the wood.
- 55:43Speaker 1: He said he already put it out back. My friend
- 55:47Speaker 1: thanked him, and Grannie asked how he knew where to
- 55:51Speaker 1: put it. A hush fell over the room. He said
- 55:55Speaker 1: he assumed it went on the patio. Granny then asked
- 55:59Speaker 1: how he knew where the patio was. Come on, Granny,
- 56:02Speaker 1: he said, he assumed it was out back. My friend
- 56:06Speaker 1: and my husband looked uncomfortable, and Granny looked at me
- 56:09Speaker 1: and whispered, don't be stupid, tam. Is she just being Granny?
- 56:16Speaker 1: Or am I being stupid? What is going on? All right?
- 56:20Speaker 1: It's it's a little bit of both, meaning that Granny
- 56:23Speaker 1: was right, and yes, you were stupid for ignoring that
- 56:26Speaker 1: feeling you had in your gut or the red flags
- 56:30Speaker 1: as you call them. Red flags pop up for a reason, Okay,
- 56:34Speaker 1: that's why they're called red flags. And when you know,
- 56:38Speaker 1: and when has anyone's granny been wrong about this kind
- 56:42Speaker 1: of stuff? Okay, it's called wisdom. It is called wisdom.
- 56:46Speaker 1: It's called they've lived long enough to have seen just
- 56:50Speaker 1: about everything in life, and they certainly know when a
- 56:52Speaker 1: woman is trying to get at another woman's man. It's
- 56:55Speaker 1: just something that grannies have, Okay, older women. But the
- 56:59Speaker 1: really stupid here is your husband, Your husband who couldn't
- 57:03Speaker 1: even play off the fact that he knew exactly where
- 57:06Speaker 1: everything was at your friend's house because why because could
- 57:12Speaker 1: it be that he's been there before? Sounds like it.
- 57:15Speaker 1: It looked very suspicious when you when all you guys
- 57:19Speaker 1: were inside, and he took the firewood and put it
- 57:21Speaker 1: in the very place it was supposed to go. He
- 57:24Speaker 1: didn't come in and ask your friend any questions about
- 57:27Speaker 1: where it should go. He didn't bring it inside and
- 57:29Speaker 1: put it down somewhere anywhere. Nope, he put it where
- 57:33Speaker 1: he always puts it when he comes over. And that's
- 57:36Speaker 1: when granny knew for sure, and she put him on
- 57:39Speaker 1: blast with her questions. And Granny's right, you know that.
- 57:43Speaker 1: Don't be stupid, Tim no, you didn't catch them together,
- 57:46Speaker 1: and you don't have any facts or anything, but you
- 57:49Speaker 1: got your granny on the case, and clearly something is
- 57:52Speaker 1: going on. So thank you to the granny in this
- 57:54Speaker 1: letter and for all the grannies out there. Steve. It's
- 58:00Speaker 1: so hard to follow this one because who wants to
- 58:04Speaker 1: respond after that eloquent display of respect for the elder
- 58:11Speaker 1: I usually want to be respectful of elderly people, but damn,
- 58:18Speaker 1: she gave this woman all the respect at a relation
- 58:23Speaker 1: admiration critic just gave it up, you know, Sherley trying
- 58:30Speaker 1: to go Christian on this one. Honored our mother and
- 58:33Speaker 1: their father and our days on this earth. She'll be long,
- 58:36Speaker 1: you know. I'm I'm really been to run the risk
- 58:39Speaker 1: and getting cut off early because I don't really I
- 58:43Speaker 1: see some other stuff in this letter, So here I go.
- 58:47Speaker 1: How did he know where to put it? You've been
- 58:50Speaker 1: married for six years and everything was going good until
- 58:53Speaker 1: you One of your closest friends moved on your side
- 58:56Speaker 1: of town. She got divorce and she bought a new
- 58:59Speaker 1: house closer where y'all live. And when she and her
- 59:02Speaker 1: husband started to have problems, your husband stop talking to
- 59:06Speaker 1: him because he ain't like the way her husband treated her. Well,
- 59:10Speaker 1: obviously he had some information y'all didn't have because they
- 59:13Speaker 1: was boys, and he kind of went, you old dog,
- 59:17Speaker 1: that's like real stink. Damn he didn't stop, So that's natural.
- 59:22Speaker 1: My grannie lives with us. See right down, right down,
- 59:27Speaker 1: My grannie lives with us. Let's talk about the decisions
- 59:34Speaker 1: your ass can make to make. You have to live
- 59:37Speaker 1: with your grandkids, not your children, Oh damn grandkids. Your
- 59:47Speaker 1: mama and your daddy didn't want her staying with you,
- 59:53Speaker 1: so now staying with you? WHOA. Some people know some
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: stuff about granny that you don't know. And she didn't
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: understand why your husband cared so much. I don't get
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: into discussions about my husband and marriage with my grandmom
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: because she finds fault with everything. And why she at
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: your house. That's why she ain't at your mama's house
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: or your daddy's house. She didn't broke up a lot
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: of families. I bet you hold that thought, Steve, hold
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: that thought. We'll have part two of your response coming
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour today's Strawberry
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Letters subject how did he know where to put it?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: We'll come back with part two of Steve's response. Right
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter, the subject
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: how did he know where to put it? Yeah, you've
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: been married for while, your closest friend got divorce, bought
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: a house over there by you and your husband. Your
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: husband started having problems, and when they started having problems,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: your husband stopped talking to her husband because he said
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: he didn't like the way he treated her. Your grandmama
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: live with y'all, and she didn't understand why my husband
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: kids so much because your grandmama knows it. I don't
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: get into discussions about my husband and marriage with my
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: grandmother because she finds fault with everything. Why is your
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: grandmama staying with y'all? Why is your grandmama not staying
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: with her daughter or her son? Why she got to
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: skip over and stay with her grandkids? Because she didn't
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: already broke up your mom and daddy's home, so they
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: wasn't gonna have it. So now she over here, and
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: now guess what she fit to break yours up? Because
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: she find fault with everything. Everybody don't the one little
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: negative ass granted living with them, but you don't know
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: no better. When my close friend would stop by a house,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: your grandmama would keep a eye on her. She didn't
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: like my husband having kind words for my friend at all.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I took it with a grand and the sault. Your
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: grandmama don't like nothing, this old bitter ass old lady
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: by herself. That's what she is. Old bitter ass, old
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: woman by herself staying with her grandkids. Can't stay with
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: her own kids, got to stay with her kids kids.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: She got a skipper generation because she broke up too
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: many houses. And everybody know about your grandmama, said, y'all
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: because you still remember her giving you candy, But she
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: got different kind of candy. Now it's called poising. What, Yeah,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: she got a different kind of candy. Nine, it's called
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: poising because my granny is so negative most of the time.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: That's all the time. What is your old ass done
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: that has caused you to have to live with your
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: grandkids because she negative? Granted, don't like no damn body.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: And I got news for you. Don't nobody like granny
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: but I but I did stop my friend from popping
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: up at our house because when she would out so
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I could see her all dressed up nicely. Granny said
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: that was more for my husband, that's for me. Granny
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: just keeps staying the pot up. See, Granny ain't got
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: no man. Granny had a man in a long time.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Granny man left pull. Now she mad about everybody. Man.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Now now, ain't nobody got a good man? Because so
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Granny all me and his dogs, yours, your mama's, your
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: dad is everybody? Granny are walking ass home record love Granny.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Then my friend had a housewoman party. Now this was
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: through me. Then my friend had a housewoman party and
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: she needed wood for her five place. What who throw
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: a party and say, hey, man, brank some wood? They man,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: bring some drake, bring some tayta salad, bringing cups, bring play,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: bring a little meat with you, bring some Who throw
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: a party and asked some damn firewood? That was just
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: odd to me. I ain't out there with a lot
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: of parties. I had a lot of stuff under my arm.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I ain't ever walked in with some logs on the barm.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I never had them bought one alcohol, cheese trays. I
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: just showed up with some stuff, gifts bags, ye, not
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: no wood, though, so I told him we bring something.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: My husband came in a few minutes after us, and
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I asked him if he was going to get the wood.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: He said, he already put it out back. Now my
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: friend thanked him, and Granny asked, let's see right here,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: why's Granny at the damn pot? Gramma knows the ass
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: over to the party, Grammar asked, my friend thanked him
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: in Granted asked how he knew where to put it?
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: A hush fell over the room? How he know where
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: to put the wood because wood has a double meaning
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: and where to put literally, So now that's why the
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: hush fell over the room because he liked this double
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: connotation statement. Well, how you know where to put it? Now,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: everybody got to figure out what is her old ass
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: talking about? Put what? Where? Put the wood where? Because
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: we're talking two things now. So then the hush fellow rule,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: he said, he assumed it went on the patio. Granted
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: then asked how he knew where the patio was? Were
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: all health All patioles is in the back. If it
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: if it ain't in the back, it ain't a patio.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: If it's in the front, it's a poach, right, See
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: that old ass statement right there. How he knows where
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the patio is because all patioles is in the damn back? Man?
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Kind of ignorant? As is that? Because she a home record?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: He said, He assumed it was out back. I have
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: told her, hey, old hell, for all patio's is in
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: the back. I like my friend and my husband looked uncomfortable,
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: and Granny looked at me and whisper, don't be stupid
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: stupid yo, man, just like all of my means is dead. Mean,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I ain't been able to keep a man no, how
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: so why would I want to see you one? I
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: don't got rid of your mommy and daddy's relationship. That's
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: why I'm staying in your house. She just being granny?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Or am I being stupid? What's going on your Grammys?
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: A hater background? She got wisdom? Okay? At Steve Harvey

- 1:07:04Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. Mann Jalen hurts, it is man, you there,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: look up. Phillip made short work of San Francisco. You know,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: score that game was just a man, it was over
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: and midway through the first quarter. His thirty one and
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: seven wasn't final score, but San Francisco lost. They started
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: quarterback Rock Purty and second player of the first drive,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: so he was out. They brought in Josh Johnson, who
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: clearly has not played a play or down in many years.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Because he didn't even know he was leading the huddle.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: He didn't get no plays in delay a game. He
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: throwing the ball everywhere, he couldn't find receivers. It just
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: was just shame, man, to see San Francisco go out
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: like that. It was just it was just horrible. Well,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: injuries is a part of the game. I felt bad
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: for him, but yeah, it was gonna lose anywhere. If
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: they had Purty, they got it. Sofa, I'm proud to
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: congratulated to the Philadelphia Eagles. They going to the Super Bowl.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Man that this other game, Man, somebody please Karsas City

- 1:08:08Speaker 1: if you see Joseph Osay somewhere in Cincin, that is
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: somebody please check on. Because this boy made a late
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: hit personal file on Patrick Mahole at the fifty with
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: eight seconds left in the game. Move the ball up
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: to the thirty five and that's it. You gave him
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: the game. It could have went to overtime. Let him go.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: He won't'ta get the first down. He sat on that
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: bench and cried by himself. He couldn't even go in
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: that locker room. That he still let this morning, right
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: right now, he's still ye. Yeah, he can't go back
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: in there. That's old. That's old. Better fact, baby, he
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: got breaking news. He just got released as I was
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: speaking everything. Hey, hey, hey, hey, I promise you can't
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: come back in that locker room. Down you go find
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: new home. We was going to the super Bowl. If
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: you wouldn't have made that mistake, please could have played
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: an old time. Why would you do that? Man? That
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: is just just you can't even make you can't make
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: that up. Dog. It was my last seas if in
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: to retire on a play like that. He can't come
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: back in here, so congratulations. Oh and we need to
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: give a shout out to Anita Baker. She sung at
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: the Phillies game. Jalen Hurst said that's his favorite singer,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Da Baker. Yeah, she's my favorite female singer of all time.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Oh Manna call, Yeah, I need a boom. Yeah. And
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: the Baker is my favorite all time. I've gotten more
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: joy from her music than any other female artists. Oh man, Wow,
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: that's all right, Junior. Thank you. Coming up at the
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: top of the hour, we'll have more of the Steve

- 1:09:54Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, this
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: is a question from Steve HARVEYFM dot com. This woman says,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: I'm a fifty eight year old female and my name
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: is Mattie. I've been with my significant other for eight
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: years and when we started dating, he said his love
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: life was complicated and he did not want to rush
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: into a marriage. Over the years, I teased him about
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: marrying me and he would tell me it's too complicated.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: He's been in the hospital for a few days with
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: an infection, and his mother and sister have been at
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: his bedside. I felt like he didn't need me. Then
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: he said he would love me, love for me to
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: move in with him when he gets out of the hospital.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Do I move in and play wifie with him or
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: tell him it's complicated? Well, you know when you think
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: you about the dad, you know you have a lot
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: of I love you, I will live with you. You
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: got to see how I feel when you get out
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: the hospital, and you need to find out really what
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: he in there? Four and then you never need real
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: clarity on it's complicated. Is he's still married married? Yeah,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: legally and so forth and so on, and you deserve
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the right to know. Stop all this kidding around with him,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: with all this here mess, get some fast Google search
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: and get busy. You know, he might be the right
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: dude for you, might be able to uncomplicate his situation,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: but you need all the information to be able to
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: do that. That's all I'm saying. I hope you man
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: get out of the hospital. I'll tell you what I know,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: But you're not gonna come over here and stay in
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: this house if you need Washington all that, that's not
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: what you I'm not going to be turning your flipping,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: your Washington, eating up lags and going to clean and
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: them all that's hitting that you and draws on it.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: They're bad puts it. They just loaded up every two days.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I'm not fitting find out what this sickness is. Why
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: he is assing that? What do he need a wife
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: or nurse. It's an infection, she said, it's an infection.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: She didn't say what. Yeah, yeah, that sounds like Washington
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: out And while while you're staying that long enough where
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: he go to sleep, then when you go to sleep,
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: go down at the foot of that bed and get
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: that chart some information. Take pictures of the chart so
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: you can study it at home, term or electronic. Now
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: the digital. They got no clipboard at the end of
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: the bed. No more. Well, last time I was in
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: the hospital that they've been together eight years? Eight years? Yeah,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: because she would know he was sick. If they've been
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: dating for eight years, right years, that's a long time.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: You don't know nothing, she said. The mom and his
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: sister down now, she ain't been down there. I wonder
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: how old he is. She's fifty eight. Oh, you got
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: at what he probably move in He wanted to move
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: in there. So, yeah, he's in the seventies. He about
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: damn this said, you know everybody the flies me at
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: sixty six, he could be just a regular ass sixty
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: six and ass over that, just over that, just win it.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: You gotta if you got the infection. So if you
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: got the infection, that sound like Washington, you gotta keep
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: that area clean. You know, you gotta go well, you know,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: he probably stepped on the nail and something. He didn't
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: get it technic left respeculating. He just did thing about
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: talking about taking his left foot. Yeah, that's how bad
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the infection is because he stepped on the foot on
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: the wood on with the right shoe. Yeah, but the
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: right right gonna be a bad operage. Then they're gonna
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: have to go take the right one. So now he
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: ain't got no feet. So it's so nice see it
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: going all bad. But if he's seventies something like you say,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: his mother and his sister have been at his bedside.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: How old are they? How do they? Yeah? Oh well
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: mama probably nineties, sitting by most of the time. She
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: ain't seen the doctor yet. Good time they come in,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: she sleeps well. Thank you for clearing all of that up, sir.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes. We'll have more of this
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: ignorant show right after this you're listening to show. Listen
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: if Jay Leno doesn't get somewhere and sit his butt down,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: what is going on? You heard about this. He recently
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: broke his collarbone, two ribs, and both kneecaps in a
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: motorcycle accident. This happened January seventeenth. Steve your birthday, Jay

- 1:15:14Speaker 1: across the parking lot, but with no flag hanging from it,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: So you know, I didn't see it until it was
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: too late. It just was a clothesline me and boom
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: knocked me off my bike, he said. The bike kept going,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: and you know how that works out. Just two months ago,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: of course, we all know that Leno was hospitalized for
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: second and third degree burns following a garage car fire. Now, Jay,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: maybe it's time for you to hire a driver or
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: something and just sit back and just chill. Yeah, in
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: the back seat. Yeah, so he can clothesline so yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: knocked him off his bike. The bike kept going and

- 1:16:36Speaker 1: out in public wearing a bib? Or would you rather
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: drink from a baby bottle? I do know? Give me
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: the bib, breaking the bib? Yeah, yeah, if you go
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: to the crab house, they're gonna get that to you
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: anyway and give it. Yeah. Even if you go to
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: crush stations out in the la if you get that

- 1:17:26Speaker 1: can't do it. Well, I'm asa say somebody custing me,

- 1:17:40Speaker 1: the first one I've ever because you love them both,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: So yeah, very dear to your heart. Traveling or profanity.

- 1:18:08Speaker 1: that I want you to respond. Like somebody say something
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: to me. I head one and then you met and
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: then it would be something like, man, you get your
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: ass out about place. Yeah, that's a one. Then I
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: press a two. Yeah you know, yeah, I don't give
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: a blanket a blank about what you're talking about. You
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: need to step the blank on to get the blank blank.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: That's that's wow. That's a lot of Number three is
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: number three is just blasted all of the Let let
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: the guns go feel free. Freestyle. All right, but I'm
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: gonna need a steadic cluss. Yeah, all right, here's another one.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: Would you rather not be able to scratch an itch?
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Or not be able to wear deodorant? You're itching but
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you can't scratch it. Well, let me tell you something.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: You're gonna be itching your ass. You don't get that
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: deer for about three days, your hand or hand, You're gonead,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: it's gonna be bleeding under your I'm telling three four
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: days without theodor, and I'm telling you right now. Oh man.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: All right, guys, that's the day's roundup. Would you rather
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: coming up? At forty nine minutes after the hour, it's
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and of course we'll
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: have some closing remarks from the one and only Steve
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: Harvey right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are our last break of
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the day on this Monday. Yeah yeah, yes, yeah, wow.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: January moving ye, Christmas and the thing I don't have.
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: You know, you know how people celebrate their birthday month?
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, I don't do that. I do today
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: and I'm gone, yeah, y'all do today. So I have
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: some children who like to drag it out, Like I
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: told him, You'll be dragging it out by yourself. Hey,
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: you know, listen, man, I want to make a comment
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: that I'm not really sure I won't even make about
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: this thing, this tragedy that keeps happening. These are my
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: closing remarks about it. And as I'm doing these closing remarks,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: you know, I want to say something. I don't really
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: know what I'm going to say right now. I really
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: really don't because I'm so confused internally in my mind
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: about how to even put this thing into words. With
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: the latest act of police brutality towards another black person,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: I think what makes this one, I can't say more disturbing,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: because they're all disturbing to me. These acts of brutality
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: against our youth man, our young black men are are
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: going to be extinct at this rate. We are losing
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: lives at an alarming rate. I'm pretty sure it's at
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: a higher rate than any other race of people. I
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: don't know this is happening to anybody like it's happening
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: to us. I don't see this happening in any other
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: part of the world like it is here. And as
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: we parade around and talk about the greatness of America.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I'm embarrassed, man, because I travel a lot, and I
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: have news for us, For all of us who travel
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: as Americans, you ain't as well received as you Thank
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: you all. You ain't as highly thought of and regarded
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: as you think you are. Before I get onto this thing,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: I was playing golf the other day out the country
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: and I was with a group of friends and a
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: guy came up out of nowhere, white guy, and one
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: of my buddies stopped him and said, hey man, we're
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: just getting ready to go out. Man, can you give
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: him a minute. You know what the guy's response was,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I'm American. Now. The guy he told it to wasn't
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: American at all. So the guy says to him, excuse me,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: He said, yeah, but I'm American. The dude said, what
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: did that have to do with anything? And he just
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: walked away from the guy. So the guy came up,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: I shook his head and all this here. But you know,
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: as we were out on the golf course, he said, hey, man,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: what is it that gives y'all over there the right
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: to think that you have the entitlement that it makes
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: every thing okay? If you just say I'm American, and
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I just I just wanted to share that with you,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: to say, listen, man, as you travel around this world, man,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: check that ego at the door, lead that ego on
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: your passport, because it ain't what you think it is
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: around the world, because the rest of the world knows
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: the truth because they see it and they're not jaded
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: by the political party, because they don't vote right or left.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: All they see us is what we really are. And
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: do you know that the world thinks that we are
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: racist in America? Somebody got it right. So just so
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: you know, somebody got it right. Somebody feels that way
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: about us, and it's all over the world. I get
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: questioned all the time because I speak in places around
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: the globe, Steve, why are they doing this? Hey man?
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Why don't y'all have some gun laws? Hey man? Why
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: why do policemen beat and kill black people? I'll just
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: be sitting there with the same unanswered ask questions that
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: I have all the time. I've been asking these questions
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: for years. I got no answers for them. Now, this
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: latest incident of police brutality in Memphis, what sickens me
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: even more about this? These officers were black. They were black.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: So now I'm going to assume, and I don't know this,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: but I'm thinking that these officers get into this blue
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: uniform and develop the culture of the blue uniform which
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: they see happening on a regular basis, and to them,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: that black boy, they took it out on him, just
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: like you see white officers do because it's a part
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: of the culture. All police officers, men and women, are
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: not bad people. As a matter of fact, the majority
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: of the police departments are absolutely filled with really good
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: people who took the job with the right intent. But
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: something happens even to them. Something happens in that room. Man.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: I've watched things about different police departments. Man, And when
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: you get in at and you find out that the
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: culture is this, that will take some money from the
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: drug dealers if we do this, and all of a sudden,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: they just find theirselves going along with it. We write
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: up police reports like this because we don't turn our
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: brothers on blue end, and you find yourself going along
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: with it, or else you get ostracized by your brothers
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: in blue, who are the very same people that you
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: need to ride or die with because y'all out there
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: fighting crime together. But then in fighting the crime, you
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: commit the crime. I don't know what I'm saying in
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: my closing remarks, but once again, as a community, here
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: we go. Another one of ours have been devoured by
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: someone in the police department. And what you want us
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: to deal? You want us to keep waiting. I'm so
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: sick of waiting, and I'm so sick of bus live
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: about us being free man. Well, at least people around
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: the world know the truth about us, and we do too.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: Those are my closing remarks. Pray for the family or
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: the lost brother in Memphis, Tennessee too. Say yeah, hey,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: y'all talk to God today. He'd love to hear from me.
