Missouri Expert: Rainy Spring = More Mosquitoes

It’s been a wetter-than-normal spring in Missouri. University of Missouri Extension Entomologist Emily Althoff says a wet spring typically means more mosquitoes in the summer because of stagnant water. She reminds property owners to get rid of water in old tires or other places that tend to be ideal habitats for mosquitoes.
