- 2:14Speaker 9: Got a radio show because God is in the forgiving business.
- 2:18Speaker 9: Got a radio show because God will let you turn
- 2:20Speaker 9: your life around.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Business.
- 2:22Speaker 9: Got a radio show because God know better than you know. Yeah,
- 2:27Speaker 9: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Didn't see it coming,
- 2:29Speaker 9: but he did. I'm gonna share with you today a
- 2:34Speaker 9: principle of success. You know, it's it's important that we
- 2:40Speaker 9: get our lives together. I mean it really really is.
- 2:43Speaker 9: You know, to hereafter is exactly what it says is
- 2:46Speaker 9: to hereafter, and hopefully for the majority of us, that's
- 2:51Speaker 9: quite a way He's off.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So what about how you living today? How about now?
- 2:58Speaker 9: You know, often talk to you in the morning about
- 3:01Speaker 9: your relationship with God that can never change. That is
- 3:04Speaker 9: at the forefront and the best thought process that I
- 3:10Speaker 9: can give you. And I know who I'm talking to
- 3:13Speaker 9: on the radio. I'm talking to a lot of people, man,
- 3:17Speaker 9: who out there just not sure. And I'm talking to
- 3:19Speaker 9: a lot of people out there man that's trying to
- 3:22Speaker 9: pull it together. In other words, you know, I'm talking
- 3:26Speaker 9: to a lot of people like myself. There is a
- 3:30Speaker 9: principle of success that is out there that if more
- 3:32Speaker 9: people understood one of the base this is just one
- 3:35Speaker 9: of one of the basic principles of success, you would
- 3:38Speaker 9: have more success in your life. And that principle is this,
- 3:42Speaker 9: the more people you help become successful, the more successful
- 3:48Speaker 9: you become. Well, the more people you help become successful,
- 3:52Speaker 9: the more successful you become. Because you are practicing helping
- 3:58Speaker 9: your and as you do onto others, then it's done
- 4:01Speaker 9: unto you. You build relationships. When you do that, people
- 4:08Speaker 9: forget and success that has to be relationships. There is
- 4:12Speaker 9: no one person in this world who is just successful
- 4:15Speaker 9: all on their own. You are successful, and successful people
- 4:20Speaker 9: form relationships, and you've got to really coddle these relationships.
- 4:26Speaker 9: You've got to nurture these relationships. They don't just happen.
- 4:31Speaker 9: You don't just get cool with people just cause you cool. No,
- 4:35Speaker 9: you've got to do some cool things to these people
- 4:38Speaker 9: and for these people, for these people to be cool
- 4:40Speaker 9: with you when you need some cool. I don't know
- 4:43Speaker 9: if I'm explaining that right, but that's the best way
- 4:45Speaker 9: I can tell it to you. I'm just regular, you know.
- 4:48Speaker 9: I just speak like that. This is an important principle
- 4:53Speaker 9: to put into your life. The more people you help
- 4:56Speaker 9: become successful, the more successful you become. You can look.
- 5:01Speaker 9: You have to say to people, hey, look I've done that.
- 5:04Speaker 9: This is what you got to do. You got to
- 5:06Speaker 9: take some time out to share. You have to share information, experiences, thoughts.
- 5:12Speaker 9: You got to take a minute man to uplift somebody,
- 5:16Speaker 9: give them some encouragement. Hey man, you can do it.
- 5:19Speaker 9: Don't give up. You have no idea. You you you
- 5:25Speaker 9: right now. You have no idea how significant you are
- 5:29Speaker 9: to someone else, how your words of encouragement could be
- 5:34Speaker 9: the difference maker. Today I'm talking about it's a person
- 5:38Speaker 9: looking at you that you don't even really know you,
- 5:40Speaker 9: or you don't really know them, and you see them
- 5:42Speaker 9: struggling with something. Just say, hey, you know what, I've
- 5:44Speaker 9: been watching you from afar. You gonna be all right, man,
- 5:47Speaker 9: I see some menu. Keep doing the right thing, man,
- 5:50Speaker 9: you gonna be all right. I had a meeting with
- 5:53Speaker 9: a young man for the first time, and this young
- 5:57Speaker 9: man came into my office and never met him. He
- 6:01Speaker 9: has an internet service, which anybody can teach me something
- 6:05Speaker 9: about the internet, because I know little too close to nothing.
- 6:09Speaker 9: He was twenty seven years old, and he was amazingly
- 6:14Speaker 9: bright at this and I guess, you know, that's not
- 6:18Speaker 9: that hard to impress me. But the fluid speech pattern
- 6:24Speaker 9: that he had about this very very difficult subject. He
- 6:26Speaker 9: was tossing around the terms I had heard, but he
- 6:29Speaker 9: was actually putting him in sentences where it made since
- 6:32Speaker 9: to me. It's very fluid, very sure of himself. When
- 6:36Speaker 9: he was talking about this little thing, A young dude
- 6:39Speaker 9: twenty seven years old. And when he got through, the
- 6:43Speaker 9: woman that had introduced me to him, I was leaving
- 6:46Speaker 9: my office and she was going to escort him out,
- 6:48Speaker 9: and I turned around and I said, young man, I said,
- 6:51Speaker 9: what size pants are you? And I guessed it because
- 6:55Speaker 9: I've been dressing for long. I've been all them sizes.
- 6:59Speaker 9: I said, you about a thirty ways? He said, yes, Sir.
- 7:02Speaker 9: I said, what side shoe you waisted nine and a half?
- 7:04Speaker 9: I said, what side shirt is? At a medium? He said,
- 7:08Speaker 9: I really like extra large. I said, well that's too
- 7:11Speaker 9: big for you. You just want to look blousy and bagging.
- 7:14Speaker 9: And so I was talking to him. Man I said, Man,
- 7:18Speaker 9: I'm gonna help you out. I said, man, because let
- 7:20Speaker 9: me tell you something. You a sharp, young dude. Man,
- 7:23Speaker 9: you raise a sharp I said, You've really really impressed
- 7:27Speaker 9: me today. I said, and you know what, young brother,
- 7:30Speaker 9: I said, You're gonna make a lot of money one day. Man,
- 7:33Speaker 9: I said, but I want you to get your image up.
- 7:36Speaker 9: I want you to I want you to look at
- 7:37Speaker 9: how you dress because you're coming into professional people's office
- 7:41Speaker 9: and you're talking about doing something for them, and it
- 7:44Speaker 9: takes money to make it happen. I got to give
- 7:45Speaker 9: you money to make this happen. What you cannot afford
- 7:49Speaker 9: to do is look like you need every dime of
- 7:51Speaker 9: this money. See you get when you go in there
- 7:54Speaker 9: and you talking about money with another person. The person
- 7:58Speaker 9: that's gonna give you this money cannot You can't look
- 8:00Speaker 9: like you need every dime of this money, you know,
- 8:03Speaker 9: so you got to start presenting yourself. And that's all
- 8:06Speaker 9: I just said to him. I just said, man, but
- 8:08Speaker 9: you know what you shop, You're gonna make yourself some money.
- 8:11Speaker 9: I'm gonna help you out a little bit. I walked out.
- 8:13Speaker 9: I went on bout my business. Later on that afternoon,
- 8:16Speaker 9: I had a meeting with the woman that bought him
- 8:17Speaker 9: in and she said, mister Harvey, you have no idea
- 8:20Speaker 9: what you just did. He said, his eyes just teared
- 8:23Speaker 9: up when you walked out. He said, Wow, man, that
- 8:26Speaker 9: man don't even know me, and he just encouraged me.
- 8:30Speaker 9: He said, man, I always thought I might could make it,
- 8:32Speaker 9: but he said I ain't. Never had nobody like him
- 8:35Speaker 9: tell me I could make it. And just hearing it
- 8:38Speaker 9: from him, man, that's all right. I'm gonna get my
- 8:42Speaker 9: clothes together. But you know, I've been homeless. And then
- 8:46Speaker 9: he started telling the woman that he had been homeless,
- 8:49Speaker 9: and so, you know, then she telling me that now
- 8:50Speaker 9: I'm fit to cry, because you know, I've been in
- 8:52Speaker 9: that hole before. And I just and I'm just sharing
- 8:55Speaker 9: that story with y'all just to say, you don't know
- 8:58Speaker 9: who you talking to. But what does it hurt if
- 9:02Speaker 9: you just extend your hand to a person and give
- 9:05Speaker 9: them a moment of encouragement. See this young brother right here,
- 9:10Speaker 9: he could come back one day and be a major
- 9:12Speaker 9: benefit to me because he has a skill set that
- 9:16Speaker 9: I don't have.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Oh.
- 9:18Speaker 9: I might be old, mister Steve Harvey, but hey, guess what,
- 9:21Speaker 9: I don't know nothing about what this young cat know.
- 9:24Speaker 9: And he done went off and educated himself. And just
- 9:26Speaker 9: a word of encouragement from somebody like yourself can make
- 9:31Speaker 9: all the difference in another person's life. So remember on
- 9:36Speaker 9: your way to the top. The more people that you
- 9:40Speaker 9: help become successful, the more successful you become. It's a
- 9:45Speaker 9: requirement of God that you do that. That ain't Steve
- 9:47Speaker 9: Harvey talking. If you read your Bible. Somebody got a
- 9:50Speaker 9: Bible verse that back me up? Email it to me
- 9:52Speaker 9: today if you know what it is. I don't know,
- 9:54Speaker 9: but y'all do.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Out there all right, you're listening morning, sh.
- 10:02Speaker 9: Ladies and gentlemen. The time has arrived again. I've noticed
- 10:07Speaker 9: something in particular. I found of late that when I
- 10:13Speaker 9: wake up, I'm in such a mode of gratitude that
- 10:19Speaker 9: it doesn't allow for me to wake up like with
- 10:24Speaker 9: symptoms of like waking up on the wrong side of
- 10:27Speaker 9: the bed. I'm not quite feeling myself today, you know,
- 10:32Speaker 9: I'm a little seems like my bio rhythms are a
- 10:35Speaker 9: little off.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Oh that goes away.
- 10:37Speaker 9: It's a funny thing, man, when you wake up with gratitude.
- 10:43Speaker 9: It defines something that I learned at a very painful
- 10:46Speaker 9: moment in my life at my mother's funeral, and the
- 10:50Speaker 9: minister said something that was really telling. He was looking
- 10:54Speaker 9: at me and my brothers and sisters and my father,
- 10:56Speaker 9: and he realized how sad we were, and he said,
- 10:59Speaker 9: I know this is rough on you, but I want
- 11:01Speaker 9: you to turn around and take a look at this church.
- 11:04Speaker 9: How full it is that the entire overflow service room
- 11:08Speaker 9: is full, and people are standing on the streets in
- 11:11Speaker 9: the parking lot. To come and honor the work that
- 11:15Speaker 9: your mother did as a Sunday school teacher and all
- 11:18Speaker 9: the lives she touched, and think of all the great
- 11:22Speaker 9: things she's ever done for you, all the lessons she
- 11:25Speaker 9: talked to you, all the smiles y'all had. Remember that time,
- 11:29Speaker 9: since the Harvey did this and he started talking about
- 11:32Speaker 9: Solf and he did about five minutes because he had
- 11:34Speaker 9: been knowing my family our whole life, and he kept
- 11:37Speaker 9: talking about, remember when sister Harvey did this, and since
- 11:39Speaker 9: Harvey did that, And the next thing I know, me
- 11:42Speaker 9: and my two brothers were smiling. And when he got through,
- 11:46Speaker 9: he said, the reason I wanted to do that was
- 11:48Speaker 9: to teach you a valuable lesson that when you remember
- 11:52Speaker 9: the good times, when you so gratitude and thankful for
- 11:56Speaker 9: all the wonderful times, he said, joy and depression cannot.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Reside in the same space.
- 12:04Speaker 9: Out of the darkest moment of my life, I learned
- 12:08Speaker 9: one of the most valuable lessons that join depression cannot
- 12:12Speaker 9: reside in the same space. So when you wake up
- 12:15Speaker 9: and show gratitude, that thankfulness, that reflecting moment of all
- 12:21Speaker 9: that you have, all that He's done, when you're thinking
- 12:24Speaker 9: for the simple things, you can't be on the wrong
- 12:27Speaker 9: side on the bed, Your bio rhythms can't be off,
- 12:30Speaker 9: you can't feel whole harm. You just don't no longer
- 12:35Speaker 9: feel like you ain't yourself what That's what I just
- 12:39Speaker 9: wanted to tell you today, And that's how we do it.
- 12:42Speaker 9: Shirley Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica.
- 12:46Speaker 1: The mouth of the South. The legend that is, and
- 12:49Speaker 1: if you tell it, and why this morning, that's freak
- 12:56Speaker 1: for myself.
- 12:57Speaker 6: Sure one and old.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Spanish.
- 13:10Speaker 9: Yeah, I actually am trying it. Oh what fresh fresh
- 13:16Speaker 9: we you said friten.

- 14:59Speaker 6: a get a drink or too, just you know, kind
- 15:01Speaker 6: of yeah, a little bit of feel each other out

- 15:23Speaker 6: with an atmosphere that you used to I think that
- 15:26Speaker 6: would be the best thing to do.
- 15:28Speaker 12: Okay, Well, I love me. Look, I want to find out.
- 15:31Speaker 12: I'll direct you on that, but yeah, I'm down.
- 15:33Speaker 6: I just want to hang out a little bit cool.
- 15:39Speaker 12: I'm excited, good, good.

- 15:57Speaker 6: want me to know. I can see, well one, okay,
- 16:02Speaker 6: let's let's do this first. Tell me this. What are
- 16:04Speaker 6: we wearing? So I'm not don't want to be overdressed
- 16:06Speaker 6: or underdressed.
- 16:07Speaker 12: I don't really trip on that first. They could be
- 16:09Speaker 12: chill like I'm not. You know, we don't have to
- 16:11Speaker 12: do like a five hundred dollars dinner or.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Nothing like that.
- 16:14Speaker 12: You don't need on a touch.
- 16:15Speaker 6: This ain't a rock brunch, you know, all right? Right,
- 16:21Speaker 6: but if you don't mind, if I could get you
- 16:23Speaker 6: to do something for me, could you could I give
- 16:25Speaker 6: you my cash app for what? Well, what I want
- 16:29Speaker 6: to do is, you know, sometimes these things actually go wrong.
- 16:33Speaker 6: You know, I don't see it going wrong with me
- 16:35Speaker 6: and you because we've had you know, the way we've
- 16:37Speaker 6: been chit chatting and going back and forth on the site.
- 16:39Speaker 6: Things have been really really well. You know, you know
- 16:42Speaker 6: I would like to get you know, like a you know,
- 16:45Speaker 6: a love deposit of two hundred and fifty dollars that
- 16:48Speaker 6: way of just going wrong. At least I haven't wasted
- 16:51Speaker 6: my time, you know what I'm saying.
- 16:56Speaker 12: Hold on, I'm just saying, what just happen? You said?

- 17:16Speaker 6: the posit, you know, if it go if it goes right,
- 17:18Speaker 6: you know, then I give it back to you. If
- 17:19Speaker 6: it don't go right, you know, at least I haven't
- 17:21Speaker 6: wasted my time. You see what I'm saying?
- 17:23Speaker 12: You serious?
- 17:24Speaker 6: Or no? Yeah?
- 17:25Speaker 12: Like okay, uh this is super weird and uh yeah
- 17:30Speaker 12: this is all weird and uh you know, I'm king.
- 17:34Speaker 12: I don't you really know what to say? Like other

- 17:39Speaker 6: Like you what we do?
- 17:40Speaker 12: Like, don't call me like your corny, I'm not interested.
- 17:44Speaker 12: You're a bum like I'm straight, Like I don't know what?
- 17:48Speaker 6: Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, I wasn't

- 17:54Speaker 6: been we've been on the site talking to each other.
- 17:56Speaker 12: So the two weeks though, you're trying to ask me
- 17:58Speaker 12: for a cash app for real, a love deposit? How
- 18:01Speaker 12: corny are you? Are you serious?
- 18:04Speaker 6: If you believe listen tip, if you believe in yourself, you.
- 18:11Speaker 12: Know if I believe in myself, you're still full last
- 18:13Speaker 12: out of her. You have lost your in mind? Okayoul,
- 18:18Speaker 12: you please like gather your thoughts because I don't know
- 18:22Speaker 12: who you think you're talking to. For real, you know
- 18:23Speaker 12: what I'm saying. So I need to do two things.
- 18:26Speaker 12: Lose my number and don't don't look for me for real?
- 18:30Speaker 12: Show up like this is ridiculous, Like this is stupid,
- 18:34Speaker 12: you ignorant?
- 18:35Speaker 6: For real?
- 18:35Speaker 12: Shut up?
- 18:36Speaker 6: Okay, okay, show me, show me where I'm wrong. If

- 18:44Speaker 12: I believe in myself, If you believe in yourself, your
- 18:47Speaker 12: chass will move around. Get off the phone and stop
- 18:50Speaker 12: wasting my time. So real, I'm about to hang out
- 18:52Speaker 12: right now for real.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Okay, okay, face before you hang up, though you can go,

- 23:30Speaker 10: her a cheater. Uh huh huh. I called her a
- 23:33Speaker 10: cheater in the comments, and we got into a nasty

- 26:11Speaker 10: so I'm past the gold digger stage. How much grace
- 26:14Speaker 10: should I show his fifty eight year old son? Before

- 29:12Speaker 10: a true fighter and a miraculous recovery. Ralph Yarrel, the
- 29:16Speaker 10: seventeen year old teenager that was shot in the head.
- 29:19Speaker 10: Remember he was shot on the head and the arm
- 29:21Speaker 10: after he mistakenly rang the wrong doorbell a few weeks ago. Well,
- 29:25Speaker 10: he's doing much much better now. Over Memorial Day weekend,
- 29:31Speaker 10: Ralph Yarl walked in the Going the Distance for Brain
- 29:34Speaker 10: Injury event in Kansas City alongside family, friends, and other
- 29:38Speaker 10: brain injury survivors. He was represented by Team Ralph, who
- 29:43Speaker 10: all wore neon Green shirts. During the event, Yarl's aunt
- 29:46Speaker 10: spoke to the local reporters and revealed that Yarrel now
- 29:50Speaker 10: suffers from mi brains and has issues with balance and
- 29:53Speaker 10: he's dealing with PTSD, but he has his love of
- 29:58Speaker 10: playing his musical instruments keeping him busy. So we just

- 30:06Speaker 10: we see you, we love you. Yes, we're praying for you. Yes,
- 30:10Speaker 10: prayer full, recover works, bull recover lord, yes, yes, Lord,
- 30:13Speaker 10: good for him, Yeah, good for that guy got arrested, right, Yeah, but.
- 30:18Speaker 3: The judge is trying to I was reading the other day,
- 30:23Speaker 3: trying to seal the records so he can kind of
- 30:26Speaker 3: be protected when people testify, so it won't kind of
- 30:30Speaker 3: sway their testimony or something like that.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I said, they're always trying to protect Yeah about the kid?
- 30:37Speaker 2: What about the kid?
- 30:40Speaker 3: So I got mad after I was reading an article,
- 30:42Speaker 3: but it was something like that. Always something, but go Ralph, Yeah, God, yes.
- 30:48Speaker 10: Yes, all right, and not so good news as we
- 30:52Speaker 10: move on. Superstar talk show host Jennifer Hudson has been
- 30:56Speaker 10: trending lately for donating a purse through to a thrift
- 31:00Speaker 10: store like goodwill. That may not sound so bad.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I mean, we all do that.
- 31:05Speaker 10: But the purse that Jennifer was donating was gifted to
- 31:09Speaker 10: her by a black female designer, and the purse still
- 31:12Speaker 10: had the handwritten note in it from the designer. A
- 31:16Speaker 10: TikToker found the bag in the thrift store and posted
- 31:20Speaker 10: a video with the bag and show the handwritten note,
- 31:23Speaker 10: which said thank you. It was a letter addressed to
- 31:26Speaker 10: Jennifer Hudson. The letter read, what an honor to gift
- 31:29Speaker 10: you with one of my handbags. You've inspired me just
- 31:33Speaker 10: as much as every black girl. Tiktoker's chimed in with
- 31:37Speaker 10: some hateful messages to Jay hudd for being so ungrateful,
- 31:40Speaker 10: But the designer herself, so Nik Saturday is her name,
- 31:43Speaker 10: So Neik Saturday defended Jennifer by saying she's unbothered by
- 31:48Speaker 10: her regifting the bag because it's from back in twenty
- 31:51Speaker 10: fourteen and it's.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Twenty twenty three.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Hey, hey, personally got to like what you give them,
- 31:59Speaker 1: what you say.
- 32:00Speaker 10: If you didn't like it, she ain't like it.
- 32:03Speaker 1: She didn't go back. You gifted the tours, She ain't
- 32:06Speaker 1: want it. She ain't like damn bag. She gotta take
- 32:10Speaker 1: the note out of the bag. Get the note.
- 32:12Speaker 8: You ain't.
- 32:12Speaker 9: She ain't open the bag. Yes, when do you open boxes?
- 32:18Speaker 9: Once you see what it is and you don't like it,
- 32:20Speaker 9: do you keep opening it?
- 32:24Speaker 10: Look for a note.
- 32:25Speaker 9: Stop giving these people stuff they don't ask for. They
- 32:29Speaker 9: don't got to like your creation.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Now.
- 32:32Speaker 9: The girl was gracious, though, But Jennifer got the bag.
- 32:35Speaker 9: Jennifer got person she liked. Jennifer. Jennifer gonna buy her
- 32:39Speaker 9: bag she liked. And a bag is something particular to
- 32:42Speaker 9: a woman. Anyway, She don't need you buy no bad
- 32:45Speaker 9: especially if you ain't gonna buy no ball of bag.
- 32:47Speaker 1: You done made this bag.
- 32:49Speaker 9: Now, you made this out of you know, cann good rappers,
- 32:52Speaker 9: and you know all the time, don't know about no,
- 32:55Speaker 9: don't nobody kept but your little she's a designer.
- 32:59Speaker 11: Yeah, it might be a good looking bag. Let's put
- 33:02Speaker 11: eyes on. Let's see what the bag look like. Look up, okay,
- 33:06Speaker 11: you look it up. I'm going to get the bag.
- 33:08Speaker 1: No long, okay, you look at a half so too, though.
- 33:11Speaker 2: See the gift was from twenty fourteen. It's twenty twenty three.
- 33:15Speaker 1: That's over nine years. She didn't want the bag. Maybe
- 33:19Speaker 1: she you din Yeah, that's that's ten years. That's a bag.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell me.
- 33:25Speaker 10: The other thing is when people gift you things, it's yours.
- 33:29Speaker 10: They give it to you, So doesn't that mean you're
- 33:32Speaker 10: worse to do whatever you want to do with it,
- 33:34Speaker 10: if you want to regift it or if you want it,
- 33:37Speaker 10: you know, because I mean, it's.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Yours, Shirley. People have made me close. This ain't about you.
- 33:44Speaker 2: This is about the bag.
- 33:45Speaker 1: See, this is what the that's why you're saying us,
- 33:49Speaker 1: but go ahead.
- 33:49Speaker 10: They've made you people.
- 33:51Speaker 9: Because that's why I'm drawing on my experience. People have
- 33:54Speaker 9: made me close. Bought me shirt because we don't need
- 33:58Speaker 9: you buying mishop. Don't buy me no shirt. I got
- 34:01Speaker 9: shirt money.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Don't do that. I can buying my own shirt now.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Every time they see me, did you get my gift?
- 34:08Speaker 6: Oh?
- 34:08Speaker 9: I might have got to have a scene of check.
- 34:10Speaker 9: I've been approached like that, so I don't want nothing.
- 34:16Speaker 2: That's what this is about this, Jennifer.
- 34:19Speaker 10: This is we always get. We get things like books
- 34:22Speaker 10: and just everything people do. I mean, you know, we're
- 34:25Speaker 10: gracious for it.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Grateful.
- 34:27Speaker 9: No, stop saying that, Stop saying we are. Stop saying
- 34:31Speaker 9: that we're not grateful for it. I appreciate the thought.
- 34:35Speaker 10: Okay, there you go, appreciate it.
- 34:37Speaker 9: So, yeah, I appreciate the thought. It's a nice gesture.
- 34:42Speaker 9: Please don't hold me to it though, I don't want that.
- 34:47Speaker 10: Remember we used to leave live remotes with just handfulls
- 34:50Speaker 10: of stuff, bags fulls of ytuf.
- 34:53Speaker 9: I used to take that stuff out of the parking
- 34:54Speaker 9: lot and give it away on my way to Saturday.
- 34:59Speaker 1: So some of her upside. I like her bag.
- 35:01Speaker 10: She has good bag.
- 35:03Speaker 9: That ain't the bag she gave you ten years ago

- 49:05Speaker 14: do you have kind of in his pocket?
- 49:08Speaker 13: I don't know, man, you'd have to talk to Chris
- 49:10Speaker 13: about that one. I guess my main reason is is

- 49:36Speaker 14: put it in the bag. I want you to put
- 49:38Speaker 14: it in the bag. Don't clean nothing. But I'm gonna

- 49:54Speaker 13: in the same laundry bag he had when he dropped
- 49:56Speaker 13: them all.
- 49:56Speaker 14: I'm a christ I don't believe that I ain't gave this.
- 50:00Speaker 14: I'm a good years of my life and he's gonna
- 50:01Speaker 14: turn around.

- 50:03Speaker 14: You make sure you don't clean up thing, because I'm
- 50:06Speaker 14: gonna certify all that my damn self.
- 50:08Speaker 12: You put all that in the back.

- 50:12Speaker 14: not coming in today.
- 50:15Speaker 6: Slow down.
- 50:16Speaker 13: I don't want you to get to hysterical. I mean,
- 50:18Speaker 13: you know you're getting a little irate, are you okay?
- 50:20Speaker 14: I'm I'm gonna be all right. I Am going to
- 50:24Speaker 14: be all right when I get up there. Who Chris
- 50:28Speaker 14: is gonna get up? That's all I got to say.
- 50:30Speaker 14: You make sure you have all that stuff not clean.
- 50:33Speaker 14: I don't want you to clean it. I want you
- 50:35Speaker 14: to put all that other that you said that you

- 54:15Speaker 1: you here.
- 54:16Speaker 10: It is Strawberry Letter thanking a for you, subject where
- 54:20Speaker 10: should I sit?
- 54:21Speaker 6: There?
- 54:22Speaker 10: Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty five year old married woman
- 54:25Speaker 10: and my husband is currently going through a very disrespectful
- 54:29Speaker 10: stage of life. He thinks he's a scholar and a comedian,
- 54:33Speaker 10: and he is flirtatious with younger women, my son's girlfriend
- 54:37Speaker 10: in particular. I've heard my husband congratulate my son on
- 54:41Speaker 10: pulling someone so fine and asking questions like where does
- 54:45Speaker 10: she work work out? And is her mama as fine
- 54:49Speaker 10: as she is. I thought it was father's son bonding,
- 54:53Speaker 10: but he has gotten worse. We had Memorial Day get
- 54:56Speaker 10: together and my son's girlfriend came over with her little girl.
- 55:00Speaker 10: Oh excuse me. The little girl was attached to me
- 55:03Speaker 10: because she said I reminded her of her grandmother. The
- 55:07Speaker 10: girlfriend was walking around with the plate on the patio
- 55:09Speaker 10: and all the seats were taken, and she asked my
- 55:12Speaker 10: husband where should I sit. My super ignorant husband said
- 55:18Speaker 10: I know where you can sit, and I almost jumped
- 55:21Speaker 10: up and tackled him. He had a dirty old man
- 55:24Speaker 10: look on his face, and the girlfriend was smiling from
- 55:27Speaker 10: ear to ear, so I loudly told him to sit
- 55:30Speaker 10: his ass down somewhere. Immediately, he got bristly with me
- 55:37Speaker 10: and we had a screaming match in front of our guests.
- 55:40Speaker 10: He said he wasn't flirting and it was a joke.
- 55:43Speaker 10: I took a lot. I take a lot of mess
- 55:46Speaker 10: from him, but I don't have to tolerate this in
- 55:48Speaker 10: my house. My son is in support of his father,
- 55:51Speaker 10: because maybe he doesn't know my husband was implying something
- 55:54Speaker 10: nasty when he said that to his girlfriend. My husband
- 55:58Speaker 10: is waiting for me to apologize, and I did not
- 56:01Speaker 10: do anything wrong. The girl was at our house again
- 56:04Speaker 10: last night and she was acting funny too. What's going
- 56:08Speaker 10: on with my husband? Did I overreact? Or is my
- 56:11Speaker 10: husband playing me for a fool? Please help? Well, I
- 56:15Speaker 10: don't think your husband's playing you for a fool. I
- 56:17Speaker 10: don't think that. Did you overreact? Well maybe you did,
- 56:20Speaker 10: but you know, I just tell you don't second guess
- 56:24Speaker 10: yourself if you think something was going on, if you
- 56:27Speaker 10: were feeling something. You know how we are with our
- 56:29Speaker 10: intuition and all of that. We know how with other
- 56:32Speaker 10: women are at our house and if they're flirting with
- 56:35Speaker 10: our men and all of that. I mean, you know,
- 56:38Speaker 10: you probably were right about your husband's response to his
- 56:41Speaker 10: son's disrespectful girlfriend. Where do I sit and he goes
- 56:44Speaker 10: I know where you can sit? Did he show her
- 56:47Speaker 10: a seat or did he just say that you said
- 56:49Speaker 10: he had a dirty old man look on his face.
- 56:51Speaker 10: I just think you know, it was too bad your
- 56:53Speaker 10: husband was flirting with this young lady and allowed this
- 56:56Speaker 10: kind of foolishness to go down. And the fact that
- 56:59Speaker 10: you guys got into a screaming match at the house.
- 57:02Speaker 1: What was that about?
- 57:04Speaker 13: No?
- 57:05Speaker 10: I mean, I think he was feeling guilty at this
- 57:08Speaker 10: point because he knew that he was flirting with this
- 57:11Speaker 10: young girl. I don't think there's no other way for
- 57:13Speaker 10: you to take it except that he was low key,
- 57:16Speaker 10: I don't know, kind of hitting on her. I just say,
- 57:19Speaker 10: who does this type of thing in front of their
- 57:21Speaker 10: wife at the house. I think he was out of order.
- 57:24Speaker 10: And no, you shouldn't be expected to apologize to him.
- 57:27Speaker 10: You weren't the one who said this to the guest.
- 57:30Speaker 10: Your husband was, and he flipped it. Now you're feeling guilty.
- 57:33Speaker 10: Now you're feeling like you should apologize, and you overreacted.
- 57:37Speaker 10: I think you're dead on your spot on and I
- 57:40Speaker 10: think you need to talk to your son too, because
- 57:43Speaker 10: he sided with his dad, your husband, against you on
- 57:47Speaker 10: this one.
- 57:47Speaker 9: Steve Times agree with a lot of things, and Shirley
- 57:53Speaker 9: has given some answers that I have been in total
- 57:56Speaker 9: agreement with. I think she does a fine job with
- 57:59Speaker 9: her said on this Strawberry letter, but sometimes she fails
- 58:03Speaker 9: in her obligation miserably, and this is the one time
- 58:08Speaker 9: that I think she has failed. Sureley, you made some
- 58:11Speaker 9: statements in this I can't believe you made it the
- 58:14Speaker 9: girl has not been disrespectful in here at all. The
- 58:19Speaker 9: girl ain't did nothing nothing. By saying where should I
- 58:26Speaker 9: sit was not being disrespectful. Let me go through this
- 58:30Speaker 9: letter so I can save this marriage before surely end
- 58:33Speaker 9: another one.
- 58:35Speaker 10: To break up.
- 58:37Speaker 1: Uh you might as well. Uh you fifty six years
- 58:42Speaker 1: old lady, And.
- 58:44Speaker 9: She says her husband's currently going through a very disrespectful
- 58:47Speaker 9: stage of life. Your son has a girlfriend, and you've
- 58:53Speaker 9: heard your son, your husband congratulate your son on pulling
- 58:57Speaker 9: somebody so fine, asking questions like where she work out?
- 59:01Speaker 1: And that's her.
- 59:02Speaker 9: Mama's fine as she is. Now, let me say something.
- 59:05Speaker 9: When my sons come home with a fine one, you know,
- 59:11Speaker 9: I'm on their I'm on their Instagram with them. Dad,
- 59:14Speaker 9: don't want you to meet this girl what she look like,
- 59:16Speaker 9: because I know they know so that they got an
- 59:19Speaker 9: ig page and all this hit. And I'm looking at
- 59:20Speaker 9: me and I'll live vicariously through my boys, because I mean, boy,
- 59:29Speaker 9: I'm talking about who come on, come through boys, come
- 59:32Speaker 9: through songs. You know I've said stuff like you better
- 59:36Speaker 9: be a Harvey so much you're working with Come on, boy,
- 59:42Speaker 9: I see you lord, and have mercy.
- 59:46Speaker 5: Girl.
- 59:46Speaker 9: I've asked a little girl. Girl, you ever had thanks
- 59:48Speaker 9: giving us some and some well off people house, you know,
- 59:51Speaker 9: stuff like that.
- 59:53Speaker 1: You know, but so I know what he's doing.
- 59:56Speaker 10: Uh.
- 59:58Speaker 9: I thought it was father's son, but he has gotten worse.
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: I had a mamoul day gathering. Son's girlfriend came over
- 1:00:05Speaker 9: with her little girl. The little girl was attracted to
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: me because she said, you reminded her of her grandmother.
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: The girlfriend was walking around with a plate on the
- 1:00:13Speaker 9: patio and all the seats were taken, and she asked
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: my husband where should I sit? That wasn't being disrespectful,
- 1:00:19Speaker 9: you said. She was walking around the patio and all
- 1:00:23Speaker 9: the seats were taken. She said, where should I sit?
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: My superdigga? Her husband said, I know where you can sit. God,
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: though almost jumped up a taculty, We come back. I
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: straightened it out.
- 1:00:36Speaker 10: From at twenty three minutes after the hour. We'll come
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: back to recap the Strawberry letter right after this. You're
- 1:00:43Speaker 10: listening Morning show, All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:48Speaker 10: today's Strawberry letter. The subject is where should I sit?
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: This woman who's fifty five is married to this man.
- 1:00:54Speaker 9: She said going through a very Uh, which what does
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: she call it disrespectful stage about and especially when it
- 1:01:02Speaker 9: comes to his son's girlfriend. He bought over to the
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: house and she banged. She fined, so he asking her
- 1:01:08Speaker 9: questions like where you work out?
- 1:01:10Speaker 6: You know?
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Uh, you know, is your mama as fine as she is?
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: Hell?
- 1:01:18Speaker 9: Yeah, hell yeah, I tell you right now, Yeah, I
- 1:01:23Speaker 9: can tell you right now here. Yes, she find And
- 1:01:25Speaker 9: Daddy thought that, and you thought it was father's son bonding.
- 1:01:28Speaker 9: But did it got worse? The girl came over for memorrow.
- 1:01:31Speaker 9: They bought a little girl. The little girl was attracted
- 1:01:33Speaker 9: to her mother because the lady wrote the letter because
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: you minded her grandmama. And the girlfriend was walking around
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: with a plate on the patio and all the seats
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: were taken. The lady said, all the seats was taken,
- 1:01:46Speaker 9: so she asked my husband where should I sit? My
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: super ignorant husband said, I know where you can sit. Oh,
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: I know where you can sit. I know how I
- 1:02:00Speaker 9: said it sit, So you want to sit?
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Huh?
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: I almost jumped up and tackled him. He had a
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: dirty old man look on his face, and the girlfriend
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: was smiling from.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Ear to ear.
- 1:02:16Speaker 9: He's flattering his son's girlfriend publicly in front of everyone.
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: Now it's this bad judgment, yep, it's just being done
- 1:02:27Speaker 9: in portaste, yep. But he's doing it in front of everybody,
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: so he don't really see the harm in it. So
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: I loudly told him to sit his ass down some way.
- 1:02:39Speaker 9: Immediately he got bristly with me, hold up, no, hold hell,
- 1:02:43Speaker 9: are you hollering that? And we had a screaming match
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: in front of our guests. He said he wasn't flirting
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: and it was a joke. Now I believe that he
- 1:02:53Speaker 9: wasn't flirting, but it was a joke. Now, was it
- 1:02:57Speaker 9: in poor taste? Yes, it's the timing of it bad, yes,
- 1:03:02Speaker 9: But this joke was done in front of everybody. He
- 1:03:04Speaker 9: ain't pulling off to the side trying to meet up
- 1:03:07Speaker 9: with the girl. He did this in front of everybody.
- 1:03:10Speaker 9: I take a lot of mess from him, but I
- 1:03:12Speaker 9: don't have to tolerate this in my house. My son
- 1:03:15Speaker 9: is in support of his father because maybe he don't
- 1:03:17Speaker 9: know my husband was implying something nasty when he said
- 1:03:20Speaker 9: that to his girlfriend. No, he wasn't implying something nasty.
- 1:03:25Speaker 9: He was implying something riscae. He not being nasty with
- 1:03:30Speaker 9: his son's girlfriend. Your husband shouldn't have said it that way,
- 1:03:35Speaker 9: and his poor taste and bad timing. But I know
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: people that tell bad distaste for jokes all the time,
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: and I really think this is one of those times.
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: And he ain't upset with his father because he know
- 1:03:47Speaker 9: where his father coming from. And plus you don't know
- 1:03:50Speaker 9: what you're not privy to. It's a conversation to him
- 1:03:53Speaker 9: and his daddy have when you ain't around, because father
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: and son's conversation is not for the mothers. I can
- 1:03:58Speaker 9: just tell y'all that right now, what I say to Winter,
- 1:04:01Speaker 9: Jason and Stevie that this cannot be said in front
- 1:04:04Speaker 9: of his sisters and his mama.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: So he didn't let one out in front of you.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: That's what happened.
- 1:04:11Speaker 9: Now, Shirley says, trust your heart and everything, and this
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: disrespectful girl walking around your house. The girl has done nothing.
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: She just walking around straight up fine. And if you
- 1:04:27Speaker 9: got to be penalized for being fresh, no you now
- 1:04:34Speaker 9: that's exactly what you said.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I did.
- 1:04:39Speaker 10: I did because she asked. She didn't have to. She
- 1:04:43Speaker 10: walking around with a plate, flouncing.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Around all the seats are taken. No, she flounces around
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: cause she fine. It ain't flouncing. It just do what
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: it do. Its shaped like that, couldn't move like that.
- 1:04:57Speaker 10: He flirts with younger women, and his girlfriend in particular,
- 1:05:01Speaker 10: so he was flirting.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: No, sureley, listen, that's what he said. He wasn't flirting,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: and it was a joke.
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: I take a lot of mess for him, but I
- 1:05:12Speaker 9: tolerate this to my how my son is support of
- 1:05:14Speaker 9: his father because he don't know my husband applying something nasty,
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: but he said that to his girlfriend. My husband is
- 1:05:19Speaker 9: waiting for me to apologize, and I did not do
- 1:05:22Speaker 9: anything wrong. The girl was at our house again last
- 1:05:26Speaker 9: night and she was acting funny too.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: The reason she acted funny.
- 1:05:31Speaker 9: Was because the last time she was over there, y'all
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: had a screaming and shouting match, and she feels like
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: it was at her because everything was directed at her.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Oh whatever, No, we're not doing that.
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: She's sitting up there all the barbecue plates. Now, little
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: fine mama that came up in there, you know, see
- 1:05:56Speaker 9: his mama. The girl that wrote the latter, she been
- 1:05:58Speaker 9: in fifty five more all day outing there is all jealousy.
- 1:06:03Speaker 9: Fifty five look good on a lot of question.
- 1:06:06Speaker 10: You're listening Morning show all right, So here we are.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: We're back.
- 1:06:11Speaker 10: The Strawberry letter subject today was where should I Sit?
- 1:06:15Speaker 10: It was from a fifty five year old woman who
- 1:06:18Speaker 10: wrote in because her husband is currently going through she
- 1:06:22Speaker 10: called a disrespectful, very disrespectful stage of life. He's being
- 1:06:26Speaker 10: very flirtatious with younger women and his son's girlfriend in particular,
- 1:06:32Speaker 10: they had a barbecue. The young lady was there carrying
- 1:06:34Speaker 10: a plate and she asked where could she sit, and
- 1:06:37Speaker 10: the woman said, her super ignorant husband said, oh, I
- 1:06:40Speaker 10: know where you can sit.
- 1:06:42Speaker 9: And it started a very loud fight and argument in
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: front of all the guests guests, and I realized, I said,
- 1:06:49Speaker 9: I know the guy. That was distasteful what he said
- 1:06:52Speaker 9: in the time it was all but people make distasteful
- 1:06:56Speaker 9: jokes all the time, they just don't know it. But
- 1:06:59Speaker 9: out of don't think this man is trying to make
- 1:07:03Speaker 9: a pass at the girl. I think he's just like
- 1:07:07Speaker 9: doing a dirty old man joke and it's just a
- 1:07:10Speaker 9: wrong place in time.
- 1:07:11Speaker 10: Yeah, his house, in front of his wife is his
- 1:07:15Speaker 10: son's girlfriend, and in front of everyone, he said.
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: It, and in front of everybody. But then she jumped
- 1:07:21Speaker 9: up and went off on the man in front of everybody.
- 1:07:24Speaker 9: They had a loud screaming match, and I think that
- 1:07:28Speaker 9: she should have said, excuse me, can I talk to
- 1:07:30Speaker 9: you for a second and pull him to the side
- 1:07:33Speaker 9: and check him.
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: But I was going to say, he said what he
- 1:07:36Speaker 10: said in front of everyone, right, But she got pull
- 1:07:41Speaker 10: him to the side.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Listen to me, Listen to me.
- 1:07:45Speaker 9: His intent he thought he was being funny in a joke,
- 1:07:49Speaker 9: bad timing, poor choice of jokes, distasteful. But the way
- 1:07:55Speaker 9: to check him was not in front of everybody.
- 1:07:58Speaker 10: She was wrong, she felt disrespected. The wife did in
- 1:08:02Speaker 10: front of.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: The son is not off okay, speaking around.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: So if the married couple had a daughter who came
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: with a fine boy and the boyfriend said where should
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: I sit?
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: And the wife said I know where you can sit, then.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: How with the That's not what this story is. That's
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: not what this story is.
- 1:08:31Speaker 10: This you guys trying to flip it.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Slip it, flip it from y'all flipping it.
- 1:08:41Speaker 10: We're not shut up, tommy, We're not flipping it at all.
- 1:08:45Speaker 9: There's no such thing as a dirty old woman, has
- 1:08:48Speaker 9: a such thing as a dirty old man.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Y'all don't have dirty.
- 1:08:53Speaker 10: In this letter.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: That's not what y'all do.
- 1:08:56Speaker 10: So if you do, though, what what was the man
- 1:09:00Speaker 10: know where you could sit exactly? That's why she got
- 1:09:03Speaker 10: it right there in front of everybody coming up at
- 1:09:07Speaker 10: the top of the hour, craft Cardi B and her
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: husband Offset ran into Neo at a strip club. We'll
- 1:09:13Speaker 10: talk about that right after this you're listening morning show.
- 1:09:20Speaker 10: So Carti B and her hubby Offset spent the night
- 1:09:23Speaker 10: at the strip club over the Memorial Day weekend and
- 1:09:26Speaker 10: they just happened to.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Run into the night spent the night you can stay.
- 1:09:31Speaker 10: They spent a night, let me just say a night,
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: not the night. They didn't sleep there.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Because you like, they had to sleepover.
- 1:09:39Speaker 9: Night.
- 1:09:39Speaker 10: They spent a night at the strip club over the
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: Memorial Day weekend, and they happened to run into newly
- 1:09:47Speaker 10: single singer Neo, who was also there. Carti B posted
- 1:09:51Speaker 10: a picture of Neo an Offset with huge stacks of
- 1:09:54Speaker 10: cash that they threw out at the strippers that surrounded them.
- 1:09:58Speaker 10: Cardi B captioned the pick, Oh okay, Neil acting bad.
- 1:10:03Speaker 10: So here's my question. They are all consenting adults, we
- 1:10:08Speaker 10: know that, but have you ever run into someone when
- 1:10:10Speaker 10: you were doing something you weren't supposed to be doing.
- 1:10:13Speaker 10: Oh yeah, and what happened though? Or or here's a better,
- 1:10:19Speaker 10: even better question. Have you ever No, I know, I
- 1:10:23Speaker 10: know he's holding his head, his head with his hand
- 1:10:26Speaker 10: right now.
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: Shame, just shame.
- 1:10:29Speaker 10: Have you ever been or will you ever go to
- 1:10:31Speaker 10: the strip club with your spouse, with your significant other?
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been on my spouse. He's been to strip.
- 1:10:40Speaker 11: And it was so uncomfortable for me. You I just
- 1:10:44Speaker 11: sat there and just sipped off the sprite. Yeah, you
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: didn't even have a cocktail, just a sprite.
- 1:10:51Speaker 9: Man.
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: I'm good.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: No, he can at the strip club because it's gonna
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: come out. What's gonna come anything? A fun side, the
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: front side gonna come.

- 1:12:36Speaker 9: don't care how funny you are, you can't follow naked
- 1:12:41Speaker 9: with it.
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: So what did you do.

- 1:13:19Speaker 9: the worse fifteen hundred of my higher life.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I hated it.
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: Man.

- 1:13:39Speaker 9: like listening to problems and everything.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: I was still trying to counsel.
- 1:13:43Speaker 9: I was young, talking about thirty, still trying to counsel,
- 1:13:47Speaker 9: all right, And they had two black strippers at the

- 1:15:02Speaker 10: and there's a thirty five hundred square foot guesthouse on
- 1:15:07Speaker 10: the property.
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: But can you.
- 1:15:09Speaker 10: Imagine paying six hundred thousand dollars a month for rent.
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: The house is fifty five hundred square feet? Yeah, oh heah, no,
- 1:15:18Speaker 9: there's no way. Yeah, I don't think.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it can be hanging over the ocean. I don't

- 1:19:47Speaker 9: All right, hey, you know something on These are my
- 1:19:50Speaker 9: closing remarks today. I've discovered a lot over the years,
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: and there are some things you can make it without
- 1:19:58Speaker 9: in this world.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: It really is.
- 1:20:02Speaker 9: I really didn't understand how significant certain relationships were. But
- 1:20:08Speaker 9: I'm old enough now and a lot of you are
- 1:20:10Speaker 9: where you can relate to what I'm about to say.
- 1:20:13Speaker 9: You can live your life. You can lose some really
- 1:20:17Speaker 9: really important things in your life and survive. And all
- 1:20:23Speaker 9: of us know that feeling of losing someone that you
- 1:20:26Speaker 9: cared deeply about, whether you lose them because you all
- 1:20:30Speaker 9: just were separate ways, or you lose them because they passed.
- 1:20:35Speaker 9: But we know the pain of losing someone you love
- 1:20:38Speaker 9: dealing And I've discovered something in my life. The greatest
- 1:20:43Speaker 9: loss I ever had was my mother. It was an
- 1:20:47Speaker 9: unbearable pain for me. I had never experienced anything like
- 1:20:52Speaker 9: it and haven't experienced anything like it since then. When
- 1:20:56Speaker 9: I lost my father, that was a pain. Pain was
- 1:21:00Speaker 9: first though, and it was just excruciating. I didn't know
- 1:21:05Speaker 9: what to do. I've lost my father, and then I
- 1:21:10Speaker 9: lost my oldest brother. That would really hurt me in
- 1:21:16Speaker 9: a different way because he had taught me everything. He
- 1:21:20Speaker 9: taught me how to drive, he taught me how to
- 1:21:22Speaker 9: ride a bike, because he did stuff because he was
- 1:21:25Speaker 9: so much older than me that my father allowed him
- 1:21:28Speaker 9: to do. My father taught me how to drive, but
- 1:21:30Speaker 9: my brother taught me how to you know, pimp drive.
- 1:21:36Speaker 9: But he taught me how to ride a bike. He
- 1:21:38Speaker 9: taught me how to talk to girls, taught me how
- 1:21:40Speaker 9: to save money. So that loss was tragic. And I've
- 1:21:45Speaker 9: lost a lot of things in this way, and I've
- 1:21:47Speaker 9: learned to live my life without all of them.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: But the one thing that you cannot live your life without,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: and that is a friend.
- 1:22:02Speaker 9: You can lose your mother, you can lose your brother,
- 1:22:04Speaker 9: you can lose your father, you can lose your job,
- 1:22:09Speaker 9: you can lose your wife, you can lose your husband.
- 1:22:14Speaker 10: Woof.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: And these things can be debilitating, and you can.
- 1:22:19Speaker 9: Live in this world without them, but you cannot live
- 1:22:24Speaker 9: in this world without a friend. You know, the Bible
- 1:22:29Speaker 9: says a friend is often closer than even a brother,
- 1:22:34Speaker 9: because see, your friends you pick and choose. Your family
- 1:22:38Speaker 9: is just your family. Now, I love my brother's dearly man,
- 1:22:42Speaker 9: flaws and all, I loved him, but.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: Losing a friend. I've lost some really dear friends. Juan
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: Hull was a truly great friend of mine that I lost.
- 1:22:59Speaker 9: Greg Calhoun out of Montgomery was the last, well not
- 1:23:04Speaker 9: the last friend, but a great friend that I lost.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: He was my best friend.
- 1:23:08Speaker 9: And then I lost my dear friend Flip Bass, who
- 1:23:13Speaker 9: was a fonder of our chapter at a Kent State
- 1:23:17Speaker 9: And losing them three men right there. Man was really
- 1:23:19Speaker 9: really rough because they were dear to me. But I
- 1:23:23Speaker 9: thank God for the friendships that I do have, because
- 1:23:28Speaker 9: there is something to it, man, to have a friend.
- 1:23:31Speaker 9: I look at all that I have. I look at
- 1:23:33Speaker 9: the awards and the accomplishments and plaques and all this
- 1:23:37Speaker 9: stuff I have.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: But you know what I value more than all of
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: those awards that I've gotten and everything.
- 1:23:45Speaker 9: I value friendship more than that, because friendships give a return,
- 1:23:51Speaker 9: a constant return. Somebody you can share your thoughts with. Man,
- 1:23:56Speaker 9: Somebody that you could be yourself with. Somebody that you
- 1:23:59Speaker 9: can sit around and they don't judge you. Somebody that
- 1:24:01Speaker 9: you can be around and they allow you to be
- 1:24:04Speaker 9: just exactly who you are, however and whenever and however
- 1:24:09Speaker 9: you want to present yourself at that time. And you
- 1:24:12Speaker 9: need that, man, because if you think about your work relationships,
- 1:24:17Speaker 9: you have to put on to come to work.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Oftentimes we do.
- 1:24:20Speaker 9: We got to get up in the morning, no matter
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: how we feel, and we got to put on a
- 1:24:24Speaker 9: happy face because we morn and drive people. We've got
- 1:24:27Speaker 9: to get up and put on that we okay today
- 1:24:31Speaker 9: face because we are responsible for millions and millions of
- 1:24:35Speaker 9: people's attitude.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: On the way to work.
- 1:24:37Speaker 9: We morn and drive people in some days we don't
- 1:24:40Speaker 9: feel like driving all morning, but we got to come
- 1:24:44Speaker 9: up in here. We got to be a certain way.
- 1:24:46Speaker 9: You at work, man, you have to put on ass.
- 1:24:48Speaker 9: You got to put on a different mask to go
- 1:24:50Speaker 9: to work. You know, you got to fake the funk
- 1:24:52Speaker 9: in front of them people. You know, when you get
- 1:24:56Speaker 9: in your department, you got to put on that I'm
- 1:24:59Speaker 9: the full employee mask when you don't be feeling them
- 1:25:03Speaker 9: at all. You got to go to lunch with them
- 1:25:06Speaker 9: and sit next to them in the cafeteria and pretend
- 1:25:09Speaker 9: that they are right.
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: When you when they really ain't even your type of people.
- 1:25:14Speaker 9: That's why you can't wait to get off so you
- 1:25:16Speaker 9: can just go be yourself again, because at work you can't.
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: So if you have a friend, or several friends, or
- 1:25:23Speaker 9: a few where you can sit around and be your
- 1:25:26Speaker 9: natural self.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: That's valuable.
- 1:25:29Speaker 9: Man Cherish your friendships because when you lose them, it's
- 1:25:35Speaker 9: not a good day. Somebody once told me that friendship
- 1:25:39Speaker 9: is essential to the soul. I think that's a true statement.
- 1:25:47Speaker 9: I can't remember where somebody said.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Anyway, y'all have a great day y'all. Talk to God
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: and love to hear from you. Okay.
