Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / It's OVER...Trump WON!
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It is verdict with Senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with
- 0:04Speaker 2: you and Senator it is a big win for Donald Trump.
- 0:08Speaker 2: This is, as some have described it, two in a
- 0:11Speaker 2: row and two last places in a row for Nicky Haley.
- 0:14Speaker 2: She says she's not dropping out, she's just begun and
- 0:17Speaker 2: this thing's going to go on for quite a few
- 0:19Speaker 2: more states.
- 0:21Speaker 1: In her words. Give me your reaction to that.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Well, the simple reality is this thing is over. Trump
- 0:28Speaker 3: has won the Republican nomination. You and I are sitting here.
- 0:32Speaker 3: It is eleven eleven pm on Tuesday night. So the
- 0:37Speaker 3: votes are not fully counted. But as we sit here
- 0:40Speaker 3: right now, seventy seven percent of the votes are counted.
- 0:43Speaker 3: In New Hampshire, Donald Trump has one hundred and thirty
- 0:48Speaker 3: nine thousand and one, which is fifty five percent, and
- 0:53Speaker 3: Nicky Haley has one hundred and nine thousand and six
- 0:57Speaker 3: hundred and thirty nine which is forty three v zero
- 1:00Speaker 3: point four percent. So as we sit here right now,
- 1:04Speaker 3: Donald Trump has an eleven and a half point lead
- 1:08Speaker 3: in New Hampshire. The race has been called for Trump.
- 1:11Speaker 3: He's gonna win New Hampshire. And so where do we stand?
- 1:15Speaker 3: Where we stand is Trump won Iowa by thirty points,
- 1:20Speaker 3: and Trump has one New Hampshire, and it's very likely
- 1:24Speaker 3: he will live one New Hampshire by double digits. The
- 1:27Speaker 3: exact margin won't be known until late in the night,
- 1:30Speaker 3: but it is very likely to be double digits. Right now,
- 1:32Speaker 3: it's eleven and a half points if any candidate wins
- 1:36Speaker 3: Iowa and New Hampshire. The fat Lady singing Katie bar
- 1:41Speaker 3: the door, it is over. The big question right now
- 1:46Speaker 3: is what is Nicki Haley doing. I don't know. I
- 1:49Speaker 3: think it is seventy thirty that Nicky Haley stays in now. Frankly,
- 1:58Speaker 3: the rational thing for Nicki Haley to do is drop
- 2:01Speaker 3: out now. And the reason is simple. She's headed to
- 2:06Speaker 3: South Carolina. That is her home state. She was the
- 2:09Speaker 3: governor there. She is going to get clobbered in South Carolina.
- 2:14Speaker 3: It's going to be double digits. It could be as
- 2:17Speaker 3: big as iwa it could be thirty points. And I
- 2:20Speaker 3: will say, when you lose your home state by that
- 2:23Speaker 3: kind of crushing double digit margin, it leaves a mark. Now,
- 2:30Speaker 3: I mentioned I think the odds are seventy thirty that
- 2:32Speaker 3: Nikki Haley does not drop out. She said that tonight.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Her speech tonight was defiant. I'm staying in, I'm going
- 2:39Speaker 3: the distance. I get that. And the reason I think
- 2:43Speaker 3: the odds are seventy thirty she stays in is because
- 2:46Speaker 3: she has a crap ton of money. The billionaire donor
- 2:50Speaker 3: class is all behind her. Now, I got to say
- 2:53Speaker 3: the billionaire donor class. Look, I know a lot of
- 2:57Speaker 3: the Republican billionaires. They are astonishingly consistently wrong when it
- 3:06Speaker 3: comes to politics. They keep supporting candidates who lose. And
- 3:10Speaker 3: what's weird. Look, these billionaires have been incredibly successful business leaders.
- 3:15Speaker 3: They know how to run companies, they know how to
- 3:17Speaker 3: sell goods to customers, they know how to respond to data,
- 3:21Speaker 3: and yet when it comes to politics, they are myopic.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Their worldview is essentially, well, all the people in the
- 3:29Speaker 3: country club agree with me, so that's what I'm going
- 3:32Speaker 3: to do, And they don't notice that they keep losing
- 3:34Speaker 3: and losing and losing and losing, and they don't have
- 3:37Speaker 3: the rational response when your approach to politics is this
- 3:42Speaker 3: isn't working, is to say, what am I doing wrong?
- 3:46Speaker 3: Like apparently I'm misunderstanding. Oddly enough, the entire country is
- 3:52Speaker 3: not like the country club in the Hamptons, like there
- 3:55Speaker 3: are people in Flyover country who have a different view.
- 4:01Speaker 3: The simple reality Nikki Haley has run as an unapologetic
- 4:06Speaker 3: establishment moderate.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where money is coming from.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Look, look that's catnip to Republican donors. They are so excited. Yes,
- 4:15Speaker 3: that's what they want. They want an establishment moderate. Listen,
- 4:20Speaker 3: in virtually every state in the country, the numbers are
- 4:23Speaker 3: establishment moderates are about thirty percent of the primary vote. Now,
- 4:28Speaker 3: if you want to appeal to thirty percent of the
- 4:30Speaker 3: primary bote, that's a great thing to run. As the
- 4:33Speaker 3: problem is, and it's a simple question of math. Thirty
- 4:37Speaker 3: percent does not beat seventy percent. And I don't know
- 4:44Speaker 3: how these gazillionaires twist themselves into pretzels thinking my thirty
- 4:49Speaker 3: percent is going to beat seventy percent because something's going
- 4:52Speaker 3: to change. The rational thing, as I said, would be
- 4:55Speaker 3: for her to drop out. I don't think she will
- 4:58Speaker 3: because she's got so much money. As we talked about
- 5:01Speaker 3: in yesterday's podcast, and this was an unusual week. I
- 5:04Speaker 3: want to encourage you guys, if you are interested in
- 5:08Speaker 3: the presidential primary process, this is going to be a
- 5:11Speaker 3: week that we're going to put out five podcasts we
- 5:14Speaker 3: put out one Monday. I gotta say, Ben, you really
- 5:17Speaker 3: liked the Monday podcast? Is that fair to say? I did?
- 5:20Speaker 1: It was one of my favorite ones we've ever done.
- 5:21Speaker 3: So why so tell people why? Because for folks that
- 5:25Speaker 3: are listening, if you didn't listen to Monday's podcasts, I
- 5:27Speaker 3: think you ought to go back and listen. But Ben,
- 5:28Speaker 3: tell people why.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I love when people get to see the side of
- 5:34Speaker 2: you that I know and I get to see and
- 5:36Speaker 2: to hear you talk personally about your presidential campaign in
- 5:40Speaker 2: sixteen and the blood, sweat and tears that goes into
- 5:45Speaker 2: a political campaign, being privileged to be around your campaign
- 5:49Speaker 2: in sixteen and working on the Bush campaign in two
- 5:51Speaker 2: thousand and four and others, and understanding just how intense
- 5:57Speaker 2: it is and to get your perspective on all of this,
- 6:00Speaker 2: but also your memories was something that I was so
- 6:03Speaker 2: happy that other people got to hear it because I've
- 6:06Speaker 2: gotten to get some of those stories from you, and
- 6:07Speaker 2: I even got some news stories from you on Monday
- 6:10Speaker 2: as well. But we got done with it and I
- 6:12Speaker 2: was like, this might be one of my favorite shows
- 6:16Speaker 2: that we've ever done. Because it just showed a sight
- 6:18Speaker 2: of you that I get to see that I want
- 6:20Speaker 2: everybody else to see.
- 6:21Speaker 1: If that makes sense.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Well, look, one of the things that I think makes
- 6:24Speaker 3: this podcast work is you and I are genuinely friends.
- 6:27Speaker 3: We hang out together. We play tennis together. You kill me.
- 6:32Speaker 3: We play pickleball together. You kind of suck at pickleball, dude,
- 6:35Speaker 3: It's true.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I hate it.
- 6:37Speaker 3: We haven't played poker yet together, but I'll kick your
- 6:40Speaker 3: ass at poker.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I love the trash talking. This is also very accurate.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It's extremely accurate.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I won't remind you the one time we did play poker,
- 6:48Speaker 2: but we'll keep going.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Look when we started this podcast, and this is pre you.
- 6:54Speaker 3: When I started this podcast with Michael Knowles and by
- 6:57Speaker 3: the ways, like four years ago, and I didn't know
- 6:58Speaker 3: what the hell of podcast was. I remember our first
- 7:01Speaker 3: guest was Lindsey Graham. Yeah, Lindsay Graham came down to
- 7:04Speaker 3: a basement in Washington, d C. And his question was
- 7:07Speaker 3: what the hell is a podcast? And I wasn't much
- 7:13Speaker 3: I felt sort of avant guarde because I knew what
- 7:15Speaker 3: a podcast was, but I wasn't much more educated than
- 7:18Speaker 3: he was. And some of the early and best advice
- 7:21Speaker 3: I got is they said, Look of the best podcast
- 7:24Speaker 3: is like you and I are sitting down at a
- 7:26Speaker 3: dinner table. We have a couple of glasses of wine,
- 7:28Speaker 3: and we're feeling good and we're talking, and we try
- 7:32Speaker 3: to do that. We try to have a real conversation
- 7:35Speaker 3: and because we're friends, because we've got sometimes we agree
- 7:39Speaker 3: a lot, but sometimes we disagree, we've got different takes,
- 7:41Speaker 3: and the back and forth is what makes it interesting.
- 7:44Speaker 3: And all right, I'm gonna give all the podcast listeners
- 7:46Speaker 3: an interesting insight. You may be wondering, Hey, wait, why
- 7:50Speaker 3: do we have a podcast on Monday and then a
- 7:53Speaker 3: bonus podcast on Tuesday, and then a podcast on Wednesday,
- 7:56Speaker 3: and then a podcast we're going to have on Friday
- 7:58Speaker 3: and then one on Saturday. Like that's where do you
- 8:00Speaker 3: normally do Monday, Wednesday and Friday and than the Saturday recap?
- 8:03Speaker 3: All right, so I'm gonna let you all in on
- 8:04Speaker 3: the insight. Why So Sunday afternoon we recorded the Monday
- 8:08Speaker 3: podcast and we did it, and it's funny. Ben had
- 8:12Speaker 3: a bunch of topics he wanted. He wanted to get
- 8:14Speaker 3: into China, he wanted to get into the border. He
- 8:16Speaker 3: wanted to get into all this stuff, like all these ideas,
- 8:19Speaker 3: and I was like, you know, I just think, like Iowen,
- 8:22Speaker 3: New Hampshire will consume it all. And he's like, I
- 8:24Speaker 3: don't know, that's ten fifteen minutes. I'm like, yeah, No,
- 8:27Speaker 3: I kind of feel like I have more to say.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Yeah, And you were right on that one.
- 8:32Speaker 3: And the interesting thing is, look to folks listening to this.
- 8:36Speaker 3: You and I don't know what the hell we're gonna say.
- 8:38Speaker 3: We're doing a podcast right now. You don't know what
- 8:41Speaker 3: I'm going to say. I don't know what I'm gonna say.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I mean, we part of what hopefully makes this interesting.
- 8:46Speaker 3: We just have a conversation, and hopefully you and I
- 8:50Speaker 3: are relatively non knowledgeable people and we have conversations about
- 8:54Speaker 3: issues that matter and we sort of go back and
- 8:55Speaker 3: forth and follow where the music goes. Anyway, Sunday we're
- 8:59Speaker 3: sitting there, we're doing YouTube, and we recorded what ended
- 9:02Speaker 3: up being an hour and ten minute podcast, and we
- 9:05Speaker 3: started with I'm Talking with I when I did sort
- 9:08Speaker 3: of a deep dive in the history of eye with
- 9:09Speaker 3: the history of New Hampshire, the history of South Carolina,
- 9:12Speaker 3: and I thought it was interesting. I like, like, look,
- 9:15Speaker 3: this is what has determined the leader of the free
- 9:18Speaker 3: world for the last fifty years. That's interesting stuff to me.
- 9:22Speaker 3: But then after like thirty forty minutes we started getting
- 9:25Speaker 3: into you asked, well, what does it mean to drop out?
- 9:28Speaker 3: Ron Dessatus just dropped out? What's that like? And listen,
- 9:31Speaker 3: there are not many people on planet Earth that have
- 9:34Speaker 3: gone through like a winning presidential campaign that you almost
- 9:38Speaker 3: win and then you don't and then you drop out
- 9:40Speaker 3: and sort of the trauma and the personal relationships and
- 9:43Speaker 3: the grassroots and all of the dynamics, and so I
- 9:46Speaker 3: tried to talk about all of that, and that was
- 9:48Speaker 3: sort of the second half of the pod we recorded.
- 9:51Speaker 3: And then afterwards Ben said to me, Hey, I love
- 9:54Speaker 3: this pod, but we get a problem. The second half
- 9:58Speaker 3: is like a thousand times than the first half. Like
- 10:02Speaker 3: the first half is kind of interesting in academic and theoretical,
- 10:05Speaker 3: but the second half is And Ben, what you said
- 10:08Speaker 3: is what you just said a minute ago, like, is
- 10:11Speaker 3: why I listened to the podcast because it's stuff you
- 10:14Speaker 3: can't hear anywhere other than Verdict. It's like insight from
- 10:18Speaker 3: someone who's run for president come in second and almost one,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and so you and I made a weird decision. We said, Okay,
- 10:26Speaker 3: we have an hour and ten minute podcast we recorded,
- 10:29Speaker 3: let's take the second half, cut it off and make
- 10:34Speaker 3: it Monday's podcast because you said, and I didn't disagree,
- 10:39Speaker 3: that's the most interesting and stimulating part. So let's give
- 10:42Speaker 3: people what they'll like the best. But then I said, look,
- 10:46Speaker 3: I thought the stuff about the history of Iowa and
- 10:48Speaker 3: New Hampshire, South Carolina for me was interesting. Maybe I'm
- 10:52Speaker 3: enough of a political geek that I'm interested in stuff
- 10:54Speaker 3: that is not as sort of scintillating, but I thought
- 10:56Speaker 3: it was really good stuff. And so we came up
- 10:59Speaker 3: with Initially, I said, well, what if we put it
- 11:02Speaker 3: out on Wednesday? And Ben said, all right, you moron,
- 11:05Speaker 3: you can't put it on a Wednesday because Tuesday night
- 11:08Speaker 3: the New Hampshire Wesday. Yeah, so if we put out
- 11:10Speaker 3: an academic discussion of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina
- 11:13Speaker 3: on Wednesday, right after what happened in New Hampshire, people
- 11:16Speaker 3: will be like, what the hell's wrong with you idiots? Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 3: so we came up with, all right, screw it, let's
- 11:22Speaker 3: chop it up, make it a second pod. We'll just
- 11:24Speaker 3: put it out on Tuesday Bonus pod see if you
- 11:27Speaker 3: like it, and now we're here Wednesday. But the point
- 11:31Speaker 3: of all of this is that it's meant to be
- 11:34Speaker 3: real time, not different from right now. You're in Texas,
- 11:39Speaker 3: I'm in DC. But if we were sitting at a
- 11:42Speaker 3: dinner table, this is what I'd be saying to you,
- 11:44Speaker 3: and you'd be saying the same.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Presumably absolutely, And that's the part.
- 11:48Speaker 2: That's the part that I love the most about getting
- 11:50Speaker 2: to do this with you, is that people get to
- 11:54Speaker 2: hopefully see that aspect and hear these types of conversations.
- 11:57Speaker 2: And that's when we started tonight. I was like, all right, well,
- 12:00Speaker 2: I got to know your thoughts on Nicki Haley.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Should she drop out? And who gets to make that decision?
- 12:06Speaker 2: If you've got the money to keep going, and Nicki
- 12:10Speaker 2: Haley clearly has the establishment I would call it the
- 12:13Speaker 2: rhino money to keep going. What is in it for
- 12:17Speaker 2: her to keep going if you keep losing? I want
- 12:19Speaker 2: to get your thoughts on that. Number one and number two.
- 12:22Speaker 2: There is some politicking involved in this decision, and there's
- 12:26Speaker 2: a theory that if she can hang on long enough,
- 12:30Speaker 2: it gives her a better chance of being chosen as
- 12:32Speaker 2: the VP to unify the party if it's divided for
- 12:36Speaker 2: weeks on end. States keep coming and going and coming
- 12:40Speaker 2: and going. And there's people that have said to me
- 12:43Speaker 2: in the last eight or nine hours, hey, is Nicki
- 12:46Speaker 2: Haley basically running for vice president? If she can extend
- 12:49Speaker 2: it long enough, she's the last one standing that it
- 12:52Speaker 2: may be in a position where Donald Trump's is fine,
- 12:53Speaker 2: I got to pick you to unite the party because
- 12:56Speaker 2: we're so divided because of this drag out, knockdown primary
- 12:59Speaker 2: that we have your reaction about those questions.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I don't think Niki Haley is running for VP anymore.
- 13:08Speaker 3: I don't think Trump's gonna pick her as VP. I
- 13:13Speaker 3: think she's running. She's decided. I am the great hope
- 13:19Speaker 3: for the establishment. I am the never Trumper vision. And
- 13:23Speaker 3: the problem is a lot of those never Trumpers have
- 13:25Speaker 3: a ton of money and they can't stand Trump, and
- 13:29Speaker 3: they'll keep writing checks, but they don't think enough about
- 13:34Speaker 3: politics to think, how do you get to fifty one percent?
- 13:38Speaker 3: And so I think she will stay in this race because,
- 13:42Speaker 3: as we talked about on Monday and Tuesday, the reason
- 13:46Speaker 3: virtually every single presidential candidate in history drops out is
- 13:50Speaker 3: the same reason they run out of money. Nikki Haley
- 13:55Speaker 3: hasn't run out of money. She's got people who will
- 13:57Speaker 3: keep writing checks as they hate Trump, so I think
- 14:00Speaker 3: she'll stick around. Now here's why I think it's dumb.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I think every day and every week she sticks around
- 14:06Speaker 3: will hurt her. And getting crushed in her home state
- 14:11Speaker 3: I think will do real damage. And in my view,
- 14:15Speaker 3: where we are right now, this is entirely about twenty
- 14:17Speaker 3: twenty eight. I think if Nicki were rational, and I
- 14:21Speaker 3: doubt she is. I like Nikki, and look, Nicky's a
- 14:24Speaker 3: friend of mine, She's she's a nice person. But almost
- 14:27Speaker 3: every presidential candidate is surrounded by sycophans. They're surrounded by
- 14:32Speaker 3: sycophants who tell you what you want to hear. But
- 14:35Speaker 3: even more importantly, their paycheck depends on you staying in
- 14:39Speaker 3: the race. And so if everyone around you keeps getting paid,
- 14:44Speaker 3: if you stay in the race, you know what's amazing.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Their advice is stay in the race. Yeah, because they
- 14:50Speaker 3: want those paychecks. And so at this point, I think
- 14:54Speaker 3: they're looking forward to twenty twenty eight. I think any
- 14:56Speaker 3: one of them that has an IQ in the double digit,
- 15:00Speaker 3: forget triple digits, let's just get to double in the
- 15:03Speaker 3: double digits. Recognizes Trump's won, He's going to be the nominee.
- 15:07Speaker 3: But they're thinking, now, okay, let's stick around a long time,
- 15:10Speaker 3: let's unify all the establishment moderate vote, and will be
- 15:16Speaker 3: the great establishment hope in twenty twenty eight. Well, look,
- 15:20Speaker 3: good luck to that again. Thirty percent doesn't beat seventy
- 15:23Speaker 3: percent and getting your ass kicked in South Carolina and
- 15:27Speaker 3: then in Super Tuesday and state after state after state.
- 15:31Speaker 3: That's fine. The donors may not think that. They may think, gosh,
- 15:36Speaker 3: if you lose every state, that's a great path to
- 15:40Speaker 3: being elected president. I guess they can think that. I
- 15:45Speaker 3: don't understand the reason behind it. So if I were
- 15:49Speaker 3: on Nicky's team, I'd be saying, hang it up, it's
- 15:52Speaker 3: time now. I'm not calling on her to do that, because,
- 15:56Speaker 3: as we've talked about in this podcast, it's not my
- 15:59Speaker 3: role to drop out. She's got to decide. But I
- 16:04Speaker 3: think the path to victory for her is zero. Trump
- 16:08Speaker 3: is the Republican nominee. He may win in November, he
- 16:11Speaker 3: may not. I hope he wins. I'm supporting him. I
- 16:14Speaker 3: don't know. I think he can win, but I think
- 16:16Speaker 3: he also can lose. So I'm very worried about November,
- 16:19Speaker 3: but I think the path for Nicki Haley to win
- 16:22Speaker 3: the primary is zero point zero zero one percent.
- 16:28Speaker 2: For ten years, Patriot Mobil has been America's only Christian
- 16:31Speaker 2: conservative wireless provider, and when I say only trust me,
- 16:35Speaker 2: they are the only one. Patriot Mobile is a great supporter,
- 16:38Speaker 2: not only this show, which is why I'm proud to
- 16:41Speaker 2: partner with them, because they support conservatives.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Now.
- 16:45Speaker 2: In twenty twenty four, my New Year's resolution was this
- 16:48Speaker 2: stop giving money to people that literally hate my values,
- 16:51Speaker 2: hate what I believe in. And that's one of the
- 16:53Speaker 2: reasons why when I look down at my cell phone
- 16:55Speaker 2: the top left corner, it says Patriot Patriot Mobile offers
- 16:59Speaker 2: you just like I have right now, dependable nationwide coverage,
- 17:03Speaker 2: giving you the ability to access all three major networks,
- 17:06Speaker 2: which means you get the same coverage that you become
- 17:08Speaker 2: accustomed to without funding the Left. You may not realize
- 17:12Speaker 2: Big Mobile gives big donations to Planned Parenthood and a
- 17:16Speaker 2: democratic causes and candidates all over the country. So why
- 17:19Speaker 2: not switch to Patriot Mobile? Because when you do, not
- 17:22Speaker 2: only are you sending a message that you support free speech,
- 17:25Speaker 2: religious freedom, the sanctity of life, the Second Amendment, as
- 17:28Speaker 2: well as our military, our veterans, and our first responders.
- 17:31Speaker 1: But you're also.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Making an impact and setting up for what you believe
- 17:35Speaker 2: in moving forward with every single bill you pay. That's
- 17:39Speaker 2: because they take five percent of your bill every single month,
- 17:42Speaker 2: that no extra charge you, and give it back to
- 17:43Speaker 2: the organizations that I just mentioned. All you have to
- 17:46Speaker 2: do is go to Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict that's
- 17:50Speaker 2: Patriot Mobile dot com slash verdict, or call them nine
- 17:55Speaker 2: to seven to two Patriot that's nine seven to two Patriot.
- 17:59Speaker 2: You'll get free activation when you use the offer code

- 18:05Speaker 2: You'll love the service. Nine to seven two Patriot or
- 18:08Speaker 2: Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict. Senator, I want to also
- 18:12Speaker 2: ask you about one of the things that Nicki Haley
- 18:15Speaker 2: said in her speech tonight, and she said it several
- 18:18Speaker 2: times over the last couple of days, and that is
- 18:21Speaker 2: that America doesn't need to eighty year olds trying to
- 18:24Speaker 2: run this country, really turning this into an age issue.
- 18:29Speaker 2: I think that can work with Joe Biden, but it's
- 18:32Speaker 2: not so much as age as it's a clear cognitive decline.
- 18:35Speaker 2: You don't see that from Donald Trump. You certainly didn't
- 18:37Speaker 2: see it on stage tonight. And this campaign schedule and
- 18:41Speaker 2: the way that he's out there campaigning is pretty intense.
- 18:45Speaker 2: When you look at her saying basically, vote for me
- 18:47Speaker 2: because I'm younger and he's too old. We've seen that
- 18:51Speaker 2: and it backfired and Ronald Reagan it worked his advantage.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Do you think this could be a major mistake?
- 18:57Speaker 3: Well, as you note, Reagan, when Walter Mondale tried to
- 19:00Speaker 3: make that an issue against him, said listen, I'll commit
- 19:04Speaker 3: right now. The age issue is there, and I'm not
- 19:07Speaker 3: going to use my opponent's youth and inexperience against him.
- 19:13Speaker 3: And it was in the debate everyone cracked up laughing.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Bondale cracked up laughing. It was just it was a
- 19:19Speaker 3: funny line. By the way, you look at the backstories
- 19:22Speaker 3: of the debate, prep Reagan's this is an eighty four
- 19:25Speaker 3: has reelected. Reagan's team was terrified of the age question.
- 19:28Speaker 3: They were worried that Reagan was too old, and Reagan
- 19:31Speaker 3: basically told him I got this, and he did it
- 19:35Speaker 3: crushed the issue. Now, listen, both Joe Biden and Donald
- 19:39Speaker 3: Trump were older than Reagan was in eighty four. With Biden,
- 19:45Speaker 3: the mental deterioration is massive, It is obvious. It is
- 19:49Speaker 3: a real problem. I fully expect the Democrats to lean
- 19:53Speaker 3: in and make the point that Trump has mental deterioration,
- 19:58Speaker 3: not because it's true, but because they're trying to protect Biden.
- 20:02Speaker 3: And so I get why Nicky's doing it. Look, NICKI
- 20:05Speaker 3: is thirty years younger than Trump, so so fine making
- 20:08Speaker 3: that argument, and people are all excited. So I'm in
- 20:12Speaker 3: DC on Capitol Hill, the reporters were all parapatetic about
- 20:16Speaker 3: Oh Trump confused Nicky Haley and Nancy Pelosi. Let me
- 20:21Speaker 3: tell you some reality. If you give a ton of
- 20:25Speaker 3: speeches with TV cameras on you all the time, you
- 20:29Speaker 3: will misspeak, you will say some dumb stuff. And I'm
- 20:33Speaker 3: going to tell a story, one of the most embarrassing
- 20:36Speaker 3: stories from the twenty sixteen presidential campaign. So the last
- 20:41Speaker 3: state that I competed in was Indiana, and as we
- 20:45Speaker 3: talked about on Monday, I dropped out after we lost Indiana.
- 20:51Speaker 3: One of the very last campaign events we did was
- 20:54Speaker 3: in the gym where they filmed the movie Hoosiers.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, and.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Hosiers is one of the greatest all time movies ever,
- 21:03Speaker 3: and it may be it may be my single favorite
- 21:06Speaker 3: sports movie. I like, I Love Hoosiers. Gene Hackman's a
- 21:09Speaker 3: phenomenal actor. It's a great movie, Dennis Hopper, it just
- 21:12Speaker 3: it's fantastic.
- 21:13Speaker 2: And it's also, by the way, on brand with your
- 21:15Speaker 2: passions for people that don't realize this your your way
- 21:18Speaker 2: of getting exercises playing basketball. You still play two to
- 21:21Speaker 2: three times a week every week, and that's that's what
- 21:24Speaker 2: you absolutely love to do, is to play basketball. So
- 21:27Speaker 2: for you to know that, you know the the movie
- 21:30Speaker 2: Husers like the back of your hand.
- 21:32Speaker 3: I love Hoosiers. So we did this great rally in
- 21:35Speaker 3: the Hoosiers gym and it's the it's the one where
- 21:37Speaker 3: they filmed it the movie. So it's the one in
- 21:40Speaker 3: the little town. And so there's a great scene in
- 21:45Speaker 3: the movie Hoosiers where this this little little team makes
- 21:49Speaker 3: it to the big state championship. The big state championship
- 21:53Speaker 3: is in Indianapolis, and this tiny country team is scared because,
- 21:58Speaker 3: like the team from Indianapolis, it's a big public school.
- 22:01Speaker 3: They're guys that are big, they're tall, they're like slam
- 22:05Speaker 3: dunking like they're a hardcore inner city team and these
- 22:09Speaker 3: like little country hicks are like, okay, how do we
- 22:11Speaker 3: compete against these guys? And there's a great scene where
- 22:16Speaker 3: Gene Hackman, they're in the gym in Indianapolis, the big city,
- 22:20Speaker 3: and he goes and sends someone on the team. He says, go,
- 22:25Speaker 3: go run a tape measure from the hoop down to
- 22:30Speaker 3: the floor, and he said, measure the height of it.
- 22:34Speaker 3: And he measures it and it's ten feet and Gene Hackman,
- 22:38Speaker 3: the coach, goes ten feet exact same distance as our
- 22:43Speaker 3: gym back home. And it's a way of making the
- 22:46Speaker 3: point that like, look, we're playing the same game. It
- 22:49Speaker 3: may feel scary in the big city, but this is
- 22:52Speaker 3: the same game now. I was making the point because
- 22:54Speaker 3: we just had the New York primary where Trump had won,
- 22:57Speaker 3: and I was making the point, look, this is the
- 23:00Speaker 3: same but we can win here. So I had my
- 23:05Speaker 3: body guy, Bruce, whom I love. He he was the
- 23:08Speaker 3: field goal kicker for Oklahoma State. We traveled all over
- 23:11Speaker 3: the country together. I had him, I said in the
- 23:14Speaker 3: middle of the speech in the Hoosiers gym, I said,
- 23:16Speaker 3: Bruce measure a tape measure from the rim to the floor,
- 23:23Speaker 3: and I said ten feet ten feet, the same as
- 23:25Speaker 3: it is in Indianapolis. And I was quoting the movie.
- 23:29Speaker 3: And I left the speech and I felt pretty good.
- 23:31Speaker 3: I'm like, hey, I give a pretty good humdinger of
- 23:33Speaker 3: a speech. And I walked off the stage and my
- 23:37Speaker 3: team was ashen. They were like, oh my god, oh
- 23:40Speaker 3: my god, like they were horrified. I'm like, what, what, Like,
- 23:44Speaker 3: what did I do wrong? And apparently instead of saying
- 23:49Speaker 3: measure to the rim, I said measure to the ring.
- 23:55Speaker 3: And I didn't hear it. Like if you talk a
- 23:59Speaker 3: million words, Look, you're a talk radio host, how many
- 24:03Speaker 3: things have you said in the microphone? And if you
- 24:05Speaker 3: talk a million words, I didn't hear it. I said ring,
- 24:08Speaker 3: and I just my brain like it was a brain fart.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Diaz, who produces a show, has been with me now
- 24:15Speaker 2: for a decade, and there's and and he laughs. He says,
- 24:19Speaker 2: that's why he's here, because there's times I've said things
- 24:21Speaker 2: like that's not right, and I'm like, what do you
- 24:23Speaker 2: mean That's not what I said.
- 24:23Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, you did.
- 24:24Speaker 2: You said it wrong, And then sure enough he'll play
- 24:27Speaker 2: it back to me, and I'm like, yep, I said
- 24:29Speaker 2: that wrong. I got to correct it on the air
- 24:30Speaker 2: during the next you know, in the commercial break.
- 24:32Speaker 1: He's like, you got it wrong. I'm like, there's no.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Way I screwed that up and said it that badly
- 24:37Speaker 2: or missed you know, set it in correctly.
- 24:38Speaker 1: And he's like, yeah, you did. I was listening. It happens.
- 24:41Speaker 2: It just you put a microphone in front of somebody
- 24:43Speaker 2: three hours a day, as.
- 24:44Speaker 3: I say, say that many words, something you're gonna mess up.
- 24:48Speaker 3: So so when I walked off stage, my team was horrified.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I'm like, what I thought I did a good job,
- 24:54Speaker 3: Like what what? I was really confused. So to call
- 24:59Speaker 3: the rim a ring. Every late night host just had
- 25:05Speaker 3: a field day with it. They're like, oh, the basketball
- 25:08Speaker 3: ring and playing playing baseball with a stickety stick and
- 25:13Speaker 3: football you throw the leather volleyball like it was. Look,
- 25:17Speaker 3: the jokes are not hard and they were funny. I
- 25:18Speaker 3: actually watch them and laughs. I'm like, yeah, that really
- 25:21Speaker 3: sounds funny, like that what an idiot? And the thing,
- 25:26Speaker 3: as you noted, that was like so painful. Listen. They
- 25:29Speaker 3: are a crap ton of things in which I'm really ignorant.
- 25:33Speaker 3: But I love hoops. So today I played two and
- 25:36Speaker 3: a half hours of hoops. I play twice a week.
- 25:38Speaker 3: I typically play Tuesday afternoons and Sunday night. I play
- 25:42Speaker 3: probably five to six hours of hoops a week. I
- 25:46Speaker 3: in high school, I was a mediocre to poor high
- 25:51Speaker 3: school basketball player. I'd say I'm still a kind of
- 25:56Speaker 3: mediocre to poor high school basketball player. I've about maintained
- 25:59Speaker 3: my skill thirty five years later. But the crushing I
- 26:05Speaker 3: love hoops. I DVR every single Rockets game and I
- 26:10Speaker 3: watch most of them like it's basketball. If there's a
- 26:14Speaker 3: sport I know and care about and love, it's basketball.
- 26:19Speaker 3: And everyone mocked the hell out of me for calling
- 26:22Speaker 3: the rim the ring, and I know what the hell
- 26:24Speaker 3: the ring is. Look, I just did that there. I
- 26:27Speaker 3: know what the hell the rim is. That's a good illustration.
- 26:31Speaker 3: So all of the media is in a tizzy that
- 26:35Speaker 3: Trump had a comment where he confused Nicky Haley and
- 26:39Speaker 3: Nancy Pelosi. And I get it. It's easy, and it's
- 26:42Speaker 3: frankly valuable if you have a political agenda, re elect
- 26:47Speaker 3: Joe Biden, and the American voters are really concerned about
- 26:54Speaker 3: the intellectual diminution of Joe Biden one of the best
- 26:58Speaker 3: strategies to counter and say, yeah, but Trump is totally
- 27:01Speaker 3: old and feeble too. Now, I think it's crap. And
- 27:04Speaker 3: I'll tell you what. I'm gonna make a challenge to
- 27:07Speaker 3: the press and the Biden White House. Let's have the
- 27:11Speaker 3: November election decided right now. Give us Donald Trump and
- 27:15Speaker 3: give us Joe Biden for an hour on a cognitive test,
- 27:17Speaker 3: and the winner is the president. I'll take that because
- 27:20Speaker 3: Trump will kick Biden's ass on that. And by the way,
- 27:25Speaker 3: no one will take us up on that now, of course,
- 27:27Speaker 3: not because there is a media and pr mandate. I
- 27:34Speaker 3: think Nicky is leaning into a narrative the press wants
- 27:38Speaker 3: to run with. And I get why. Look, if you're
- 27:40Speaker 3: running against someone, if the press likes a narrative, you
- 27:44Speaker 3: want to use it against your opponent. But I think
- 27:47Speaker 3: it just doesn't fly the distance between. Is Trump older
- 27:53Speaker 3: than he was eight years ago? Yeah, like the rest
- 27:56Speaker 3: of us are. You're older. I am like, that's part
- 27:59Speaker 3: of life. But there is no universe in which Trump's
- 28:03Speaker 3: mental condition is remotely comparable to where Joe Biden's massive
- 28:08Speaker 3: deterioration is.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Let me ask you one another question on this.
- 28:12Speaker 2: At what point does Nicki Haley become and these are
- 28:16Speaker 2: my words, I want to be queer about that, a
- 28:17Speaker 2: useful idiot for the Democratic Party, for the left, because
- 28:20Speaker 2: the longer that they can drag this out, and I'm
- 28:23Speaker 2: talking about the media and the Democratic Party, the better
- 28:26Speaker 2: off it is for Joe Biden. You're not having to
- 28:29Speaker 2: focus on one on one debates and attacks and back
- 28:33Speaker 2: and forth even through the media with a Republican candidate
- 28:37Speaker 2: and a Democratic candidate. It also, you know, they've tied
- 28:40Speaker 2: him up in court. Now they can tie him up
- 28:42Speaker 2: in a primary that can be extended. At what point
- 28:46Speaker 2: does it become a real problem for Donald Trump to
- 28:51Speaker 2: unify the country There is specifically conservatives the Republican Party,
- 28:56Speaker 2: and it becomes such a big advantage for Joe Biden.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not worried about that. My prediction right now
- 29:04Speaker 3: is Nicky Haley will drop out eighteen hours after the
- 29:09Speaker 3: South Carolina primary.
- 29:11Speaker 1: It be sure to beat down, you think, and it's
- 29:13Speaker 1: her home state.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think she'll last to Super Tuesday. Listen
- 29:18Speaker 3: the impact. By the way, going back to twenty sixteen,
- 29:21Speaker 3: Marco Rubio who Marco stuck around too long and the
- 29:25Speaker 3: fact that he's stuck around helped give Trump the nomination,
- 29:29Speaker 3: but Marco dropped out right after he got crushed in
- 29:33Speaker 3: the Florida primary. You cannot lose your home state, and
- 29:36Speaker 3: particularly lose it badly and survive. And so I think Nicki.
- 29:43Speaker 3: The smart thing for NICKI to do would be tomorrow
- 29:45Speaker 3: to suspend her campaign. I don't think she will because
- 29:49Speaker 3: I think she's got money in the bank and she
- 29:52Speaker 3: wants to go. And you know, look, as they say
- 29:55Speaker 3: in dumb or Dumber, you know, you know, do you
- 29:58Speaker 3: have a one million chance? Yes, so you're saying I've
- 30:01Speaker 3: got a chance.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I think that's where she is. She's like one in
- 30:04Speaker 3: a million, let's go. But I think getting crushed in
- 30:08Speaker 3: South Carolina will end that campaign. I also think every
- 30:13Speaker 3: day she stays in the race, she is hurting herself
- 30:17Speaker 3: for twenty eight And at this point, I view the
- 30:20Speaker 3: Haley campaign is entirely a twenty twenty eight campaign. Basically,
- 30:24Speaker 3: Nikki Haley is campaigning against Glenn Youngkin, who is going
- 30:29Speaker 3: to be the moderate establishment choice for thirty percent of
- 30:32Speaker 3: the primary base. Okay, we'll see, there'll be someone. There's
- 30:36Speaker 3: always someone. That's the way our primaries work, but I
- 30:40Speaker 3: think the more she gets beat, the weaker she is.
- 30:45Speaker 2: It's twenty twenty four and a lot of us are
- 30:47Speaker 2: trying to get our finances in order. And there is
- 30:49Speaker 2: some great news for homeowners, especially if you have got
- 30:54Speaker 2: a new year's resolution, which is to get those finances
- 30:57Speaker 2: in check. Interest rates have dropped and are now in
- 31:00Speaker 2: the fives, a lot lower than they were last year.
- 31:03Speaker 2: If you've been buried in high interest credit card debt
- 31:06Speaker 2: and now's the time to break free, American Financing can
- 31:09Speaker 2: help you access the cash in your home to pay
- 31:12Speaker 2: off your high interest debt. Last year, their salary based
- 31:15Speaker 2: mortgage consultants help customers save On average, I'd save an
- 31:20Speaker 2: average of eight hundred and fifty four dollars a month.
- 31:24Speaker 2: That's like giving yourself a ten thousand dollars raise. What
- 31:27Speaker 2: a way to start the new year. And if you
- 31:29Speaker 2: start today, you may be able to delay two mortgage payments.
- 31:32Speaker 2: So call American Financing today eight to eight six seven

- 32:01Speaker 2: call eight to eight six seven five forty ninety for
- 32:05Speaker 2: details about credit costs and terms. Cenator, I want to
- 32:09Speaker 2: move to another issue real quick that has obviously become
- 32:12Speaker 2: a very.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Big deal and it deals with border security.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Obviously New Hampshire is important, but can you explain exactly
- 32:21Speaker 2: what just happened at the Supreme Court when it came
- 32:25Speaker 2: to the Supreme Court ruling that the Biden administration, in
- 32:28Speaker 2: a five to four decision can resume removal of the
- 32:32Speaker 2: razor wire that was installed by the State of Texas
- 32:35Speaker 2: along the border, specifically near Eagle Pass, and they say
- 32:39Speaker 2: at least while the litigation is ongoing.
- 32:43Speaker 1: What was even more.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Shocking, I think is the fact that Roberts and amy
- 32:48Speaker 2: Komy Barrett sided with left leaning justice to rule in
- 32:52Speaker 2: Biden Administration's favor and allow the Border Patrol to go
- 32:56Speaker 2: in and remove the razor wire, which the tech exist
- 33:00Speaker 2: National Guard then put back up. At least from the
- 33:03Speaker 2: latest videos we've seen from the border, this is a
- 33:06Speaker 2: shocking moment. Many people in Texas are angry about this,
- 33:10Speaker 2: saying what about states' rights here? And how could these
- 33:14Speaker 2: two concerted justices side with the Biden administration.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Look, this is a horrible decision. I'm angry about it.
- 33:23Speaker 3: It is deeply disturbing. Fact. Number one, we are seeing
- 33:29Speaker 3: an invasion at our southern border. Nine point six million
- 33:34Speaker 3: illegal immigrants have crossed in under Joe Biden. It is deliberate.
- 33:38Speaker 3: He wants this to happen. It is the worst illegal
- 33:42Speaker 3: immigration in our nation's history. Number Two, it's deliberate. Biden
- 33:48Speaker 3: wants this to happen. The Democrats want this to happen.
- 33:51Speaker 3: They are facilitating it, they are accelerating it that they
- 33:55Speaker 3: are actively wanting more and more and more of it.
- 33:58Speaker 3: So Texas, understand annibly is responding to defend ourselves. I
- 34:02Speaker 3: commend our governor. I commend our state legislature for acting
- 34:06Speaker 3: to protect the sovereignty of Texas and for investing billions
- 34:11Speaker 3: of dollars in border security and law enforcement and putting
- 34:14Speaker 3: personnel in putting up barriers to try to stop this
- 34:18Speaker 3: invasion of our state. Now, what happened on this case?
- 34:23Speaker 3: It arose to the Supreme Court on an emergency appeal
- 34:28Speaker 3: on an injunction. There was an injunction against the federal
- 34:32Speaker 3: government to stop the federal government from cutting down the
- 34:35Speaker 3: razor wire, the Constantina wire that Texas had erected, and
- 34:39Speaker 3: the Fifth Circuit, the Federal Court of Appeals, had upheld
- 34:42Speaker 3: the injunction. What happened today Tuesday is the Supreme Court,
- 34:50Speaker 3: by a vote of five to four, vacated that injunction.
- 34:53Speaker 3: What that means is, right now, the federal government has
- 34:57Speaker 3: the legal ability to cut down that raz to allow
- 35:01Speaker 3: illegal immigrants to continue invading the state. Now, the good news,
- 35:06Speaker 3: the merits of the appeal is still pending, and so
- 35:08Speaker 3: the Fifth Circuit can still rule on the merits of
- 35:11Speaker 3: the appeal as to whether Texas has the authority. And
- 35:14Speaker 3: by the way, the Supreme Court could still rule on
- 35:15Speaker 3: the appeal. So it is possible that Texas prevails. That
- 35:20Speaker 3: the results of an emergency appeal on an injunction are
- 35:25Speaker 3: not always the same as the merits results on the
- 35:28Speaker 3: substantive issue. So that's true. But at the end of
- 35:32Speaker 3: the day, you had the three Liberals plus John Roberts
- 35:36Speaker 3: plus Amy Cony, Burt Barrett ruling for the Biden administration
- 35:40Speaker 3: saying you can cut down this razor wire. Now, on
- 35:43Speaker 3: one level, I understand it that there is a heavy
- 35:47Speaker 3: presumption in Washington in federal courts, which is that the
- 35:52Speaker 3: federal government gets to trump the states, and that that
- 35:56Speaker 3: is part of the Constitution. Is a supremacy clause that
- 35:59Speaker 3: says the constance the federal law is the supreme law
- 36:02Speaker 3: of the land. I think it is a real problem
- 36:07Speaker 3: that John Roberts is a creature of Washington. I don't
- 36:11Speaker 3: think he understands what is happening at the southern border.
- 36:14Speaker 3: I think Amy Cony Barrett is a law professor from Indiana.
- 36:18Speaker 3: I don't think she has any understanding of what's happening
- 36:21Speaker 3: at the southern border in ordinary times. If this were
- 36:26Speaker 3: just a regular time and a state we're trying to
- 36:29Speaker 3: block what the federal government was doing, the Supreme Court
- 36:32Speaker 3: would fairly routinely rule with feeds. What I don't think
- 36:37Speaker 3: these justices have a real appreciation for is how horrifically
- 36:42Speaker 3: bad it is, how lawless it is what the Biden
- 36:46Speaker 3: administration is doing. There's never been a president who refuses
- 36:49Speaker 3: to follow the law like Joe Biden did. So here's
- 36:52Speaker 3: the statement that the Border Patrol Union put out today
- 36:56Speaker 3: quote the Supreme Court's decision today is going to undoubtedly
- 37:02Speaker 3: encourage more illegal immigration. Unfortunately, this means border patrol agents
- 37:07Speaker 3: are going to be tied up dealing with give ups
- 37:10Speaker 3: rather than going after the criminal elements that constantly cross
- 37:14Speaker 3: our border illegally. The administration, no doubt will say this
- 37:19Speaker 3: is a win for border security, but if they sought
- 37:23Speaker 3: rank and file input, they would be told this will
- 37:27Speaker 3: do the exact opposite. Agents support what Texas was trying
- 37:32Speaker 3: to accomplish in the absence of true border security policies
- 37:37Speaker 3: from this administration. I agree with the Border Patrol Union,
- 37:41Speaker 3: and so I am angry. I'm frustrated. I think the
- 37:44Speaker 3: Court is out of touch. I think they're just reflexively
- 37:48Speaker 3: agreeing with the federal government against the States, and I
- 37:51Speaker 3: think it is a profound mistake that continues the invasion
- 37:55Speaker 3: that's happening in our southern border.
- 37:58Speaker 2: To be clear, one other thing on that says, when
- 38:00Speaker 2: you hear the Biden administration say that they are working
- 38:03Speaker 2: to secure the border, I think everybody needs to lot
- 38:06Speaker 2: remember this moment that they not only are they not,
- 38:09Speaker 2: they went all the way to Supreme Court to make
- 38:11Speaker 2: sure they could unsecure portions of the border where raids
- 38:15Speaker 2: or wire was put up to secure the border.
- 38:17Speaker 3: That's how much I understand. Hold on, I want to
- 38:20Speaker 3: underscore what you're just saying. So today in the capital,
- 38:23Speaker 3: as I was walking to the Capitol, lots of reporters
- 38:26Speaker 3: wanted to ask me about this decision, and they said, well, gosh,
- 38:29Speaker 3: Biden just says if Congress will pass the supplemental bill,
- 38:32Speaker 3: then we'll have the ability to secure the border. And
- 38:34Speaker 3: I said, listen, understand, Biden doesn't want to secure the border.
- 38:38Speaker 3: He wants this crisis. He wants more illegal immigrants. And
- 38:41Speaker 3: I said, for Pete's sakes, Biden is actively litigating against
- 38:46Speaker 3: the state of Texas to stop Texas from securing the border.
- 38:51Speaker 3: That's what they want. They want this invasion. And that's
- 38:55Speaker 3: exactly what the Biden administration is doing with the emphatics
- 39:00Speaker 3: part of essentially every Democrat member of the Senate and
- 39:03Speaker 3: every Democrat member of the House.
- 39:06Speaker 1: It will be a huge election your issue.
- 39:08Speaker 2: We will keep covering it here that I can promise you,
- 39:12Speaker 2: but I want to make sure that we got this
- 39:13Speaker 2: out there. For many people that were asked that same question,
- 39:16Speaker 2: why do these two justices a lot of people. You
- 39:19Speaker 2: believe they were conservative and they screwed the state of Texas.
- 39:22Speaker 2: They screwed conservatives, they sided with a Biden administration. Your
- 39:26Speaker 2: explanation hopefully will make a little bit of sense to
- 39:28Speaker 2: people and understanding of why this happened. And it's still
- 39:31Speaker 2: being litigated. I think that's something else we need to
- 39:33Speaker 2: be clear about. It's still being litigated and that will
- 39:37Speaker 2: play out. How long will take for this to get
- 39:39Speaker 2: a final ruling through this litigation potentially years.
- 39:44Speaker 3: It could take a long time. And if Trump wins,
- 39:46Speaker 3: it'll become mooded because Trump will stop litigating.
- 39:49Speaker 1: There you go.
